Contracts are not explained. Service is horrible. Have spiders and all kinds of bugs since switching to Axiom! Charge you an early termination fee! (Also not explained). One property never even saw them visit! Absolutely horrible experience. Prices are outrageous after initial service.

My experience with Axiom is very similar to first three or four reviews that I read. Very aggressive salesman came to my door; I told him I already had a pest control company coming out for pocket gophers (my main concern). Then he whipped out his handy horrors of the insect world, chart, in full color on glossy printing stock. I said again, no thanks, not interested. Half an hour later inside the house, by this time, I realized I wouldn't be rid of him until I sign his contract. Knowing I would regret it and not be able to afford it, I signed, feeling like a complete idiot.

This happened right before I had to make a trip to see my ailing father and mother, who live 1700 miles east of me. I ended up staying out there to help take care of my dad for close to a month. I, just the other day, felt caught up enough with things, so I called Axiom with the intention of cancelling the contract. The representative on the other ended, it seemed to me, was not listening to word I said. I told her at least 10 times that I wanted to terminate my contract. Each time she replied with some version of how she could maybe reduce the amount of payments.

I finally asked her if she was a human, for real, it was that bad. So then she tells me she will find somebody who can take care of that for me. She came back on the line after a minute and says that the person will have to call me because they are currently busy. Never received a call, she would give me that person's name and number. The entire ordeal has been maddening, stressful, and totally frustrating. I will be writing a letter to the Attorney General of Colorado and Senator Elizabeth Warren, because Axiom's business model is obviously grounded in predatory sales tactics backed by an inaccessible management team who are clearly basing their success on the amount of dollars they can snatch from the unsuspecting public.

Axiom claims that all of their employees are fully certified and trained to handle pesticides. The past two “technicians” that came to my house clearly needed another full course on training and I have a hard time believing they passed their certification test. I didn’t file a complaint for the first issue as I felt it wasn’t worth reporting as it involved the technician spraying and killing my potted flowers all along one side of my house. The chemical burnt them badly and I lost all but two of them. I let that incident go, but I was going to make sure when he came back for the following service that he clearly understood what happened and not to make the same mistake again. The second issue was unbelievably bad. Axiom sent another new “technician” however she was more like “Rambo exterminator”. She arrived at the same time as some of my family members, one of which was my 4 year old granddaughter.

Rambo began spraying her “magic dust can” of chemicals by pointing it towards the ceiling vents. *Note: she was maybe 5’1” tall. I offered her a step ladder but she declined and said it wasn’t necessary. My daughter immediately took my granddaughter and my small dog outside to safety. As she was heading out the door she asked Rambo what chemical she was using, but Rambo had to read the label on the can as she was clueless, but she reassured us that it was safe for people and pets to be around. WRONG answer Rambo. Next she proceeded to go outside, but this time in full force with her backpack sprayer, (no mask or gloves). She came from around the corner without any notice, spraying like crazy with my little dog laying around the other side of the corner. My daughter yelled at her to stop and to give her time to collect her child, toys, and my dog, only to retrieve back into the house after she’d just finished spraying.

The only other alternative was to jump into their car and leave, except they were visiting from out of state and were planning on staying for a few days, not to mention it was 105* outside that day so leaving even just to go to the park wasn’t a pleasant option. After Rambo left I looked at my carport where she’d nearly collided with us, and there were things like patio chairs, an umbrella stand, my dog’s food & water bowls that were literally dripping wet. This was unacceptable and I was furious.

Without listing all of the chemicals she used I can tell you that I myself have researched them, and my daughter happens to be a licensed tree & landscape contractor, as well as a certified arborist so we’re well educated about the chemicals and their dangers to humans and animals. Several hours after this incident my dog began wheezing and her eyes began to run excessively. I was ready to take her to an emergency vet if she didn’t improve within an hour. Thankfully I was able to get some veterinary advice via Zoom and gave her some meds I had to help relieve her symptoms.

The ending results with Axiom are: they’re sorry about their “technicians” actions and they’ll make sure to only send their “lead technicians” in the future. I told them that wasn’t going to work for me as this was far too serious and I don’t trust them, nor do I to ever want them here again. So now they want to charge me $468.00 for early termination fee (which is supposed to be $299). However, if I choose to continue my service with them until my termination date I’d be paying a total of $480 which would consist of 4 services/billing cycles. Due to their total negligence and unsafe practices I don’t feel that I owe them anything.

If you want to be their client forever, and NOT have the problem resolved, hire them. You are required to sign up for their service for 24 months, and they will not fill the gaps where wasps nest around your property. I asked them and the technician about that, and they both told me it is a good idea to fill the gaps, but they will not do it (I have to hire a handyman to fill in the gaps in my roof awning now). They prioritize their business model of making as much profit as possible by keeping you coming back, over actually solving your problem. They do not actually complete the job of exterminating.

Deceptive sales practices used and I have reported this company to the TN State Attorney General. Please do not allow them to use their high pressure sales tactics on you. 1. The sales agent solicited in my community where there are clear " No solicitation" signs posted at the entrance of the community. 2. The sales representative did NOT specifically tell me about my right to rescind my contract within 3 days. They will also tell you they are offering only you this special deal today because they're trucks are near by but the reality is- they think if they complete one service before the allowable 3 day cancellation period is up they can lock you into their contract.

What they don't realize is that there are laws to protect consumers from deceptive sales practices such as these. They told me that their contract overrides the TN State law which is incorrect. The law I'm specifically referring to is listed below. Cooling Off Rule under the “Tennessee Home Solicitation Sales Act of 1974 (Tenn. Code Ann. § 47-18-701 et seq.) I hate being taken advantage of and I hope I can help others in the future to be aware of companies such as these.

This company uses extremely aggressive door to door sales tactics and pressures/forces people to sign contracts with an early termination clause. They do not deliver on the product offered and when they do come out the service is not as was promised by their sales person. Their salesperson lies to you to pressure you into signing up (ex. tells you that your neighbors have rats or you have hornets, etc.) which is all a lie. Also, their salespeople are not registered with the CO Dept of Agriculture which is legally required to sell pest control services. Their salesperson also does not have solicitation permits with the city of Englewood which is also illegal.

Overall, this company uses very shady sales tactics, scheduling is a mess, and customer service is very hard to get ahold of. Then when I finally got ahold of them and spoke to a manager, she admitted she saw the issues we were having, apologized for their shortcomings and for how the salesperson treated people but... she was still trying to enforce the early termination penalty fee of $300. Then after I said that was not good enough and I just wanted to cancel and for them to waive the fee, she said the best she could do was reduce the fee to $150. Due to the illegal pressuring tactics and horrible service, I want the full $150 waived but they would not do it. I have seen many complaints similar to mine about this company so I want the BBB to know they are NOT a good company and they use scary pressure sales tactics (and try to blame their marketing company)....
