    ARW doesn't tell customers things that determines whether washer and vac. They advertise that you can get coverage on all your appliances no matter how old they are but then if they can't fix it they don't want to replace it! You have to opt out that appliance from your contract it's not fair. Even though I am on a fixed income I signed up for a platinum service agreement and I am so sorry that I did.

    I called to purchase a home warranty last October. I never received any documents from this company and I assumed I had not signed up for their service. I noticed a deduction in my bank account this month and when I called them I was told that I had to cancel in writing. All at once all the missing documents showed up in my email. This company is all about debiting bank accounts without ever checking with their clients. I feel I should be refund all my payments since I never signed a contract.

    If only the first claims service representative would have fully researched claim #** as June did I would have not had to take up numerous hours and days of calling. After extremely long waits and being disconnected I was informed that someone would be in touch. I repeated a lengthy story and reasonably requested a call back on the claim. No one ever called. June took all the time explaining the process and what further steps I and your mechanic should take to complete the claim. June was courteous, informative, sincere, and helpful.     I don't understand how A and E get to charge me for something, they did not fix. American Residential didn't give a explanation and I waited over two months only to be told they could not get the part. I got & 220, and change for my refrigerator that I paid over &1,200. for. I paid &385,00 to get my refrigerator fixed. The man came out and fixed my refrigerator in twenty minutes.

    Andi was very helpful to me. In all honesty, I was asking her to undo some faulty actions of some of your other employees.     I have never ever given a review on anything but today I've got to let whomever reads this will find this AMAZING woman in the corporate office and have her help you. Not sure if I'm suppose to do this but the number is 1-800-910-8538. ASK FOR MARGE. She said she is the only Marge there and they will tell her you're on the line if she's with a customer she will call you back or call her back again if you haven't heard from her. This wonderful lady has been in customer service for over 40 years she says, so she knows what she's doing and has a professional, caring, and patient side to her and gets whatever you may need done.

    I have called customer service for three days and spoke to various employees about the problem I was having, I was lied to, on hold Monday for 43 minutes finally just so frustrated I hung up. I called again on Tuesday, got a different person that puts your calls through to the right department and was on hold for ONE HOUR AND TWELVE MINUTES only to be answered then hung up on. I was furious. The person that takes the call from the very beginning (customer service) that will transfer you to the Department you need if they can't help you, they will transfer you to wherever you need to be. They are very rude. All three days I called they ask the problem and WHILE I'M SPEAKING you know THE CUSTOMER THAT HELPS EMPLOY THEM puts me on hold without saying a word. Very rude and disrespectful.

    When I called today I made sure I wrote down the name of the person that answered, his name is Robert, VERY VERY RUDE! He wasn't rude when answering. He ask what I was calling about. I got maybe two short sentences out and in the middle of my second sentence of about four words put me on hold and I all of a sudden am now listening to music.

    That's ok now because MARGE answered, I gotta be honest I was so mad, I yelled a little just out of pure frustration and felt so small and embarrassed for doing that because she was so helpful and nice. Marge took care of my problem did not put me on hold after I begged for her not to do that as she was typing she was telling me what she was typing. The wonderful lady she was typing to responded immediately not because Marge typed my story to her. She typed in few direct words of what needs to be done. The lady that responded so quickly and why she did so immediately is because SHE'S DOING HER JOB, she's doing what she is getting paid for and whomever she is is doing a great job as well.

    I have been in customer service for over 40 years as well as Marge except I am a server. I do my job well because my customers pay my bills, if it's in my power I will do anything to make you happy within reason because the customer is MY BOSS and THEY PAY MY BILLS. I make great money because I do my job well. A customer wants to be treated well when they go out to dinner with their families as they should be treated in that manner. Good service should always be just that good service to all customers regardless of any establishment. It's very hard to find that anymore these days. Marge changed my thinking today about people in general so much so she is the first and only to get a review from me of any kind about anything ever. Marge did a fantastic job and I really appreciate her.

    Original Review: They took payments out prematurely costing me over 70 dollars in overdraft fees. So I called and got my initial payment refunded and canceled my account all together. Well, 2 weeks later they took it out AGAIN and claim I never called and canceled the policy (even though all calls are recorded and they could find it if they would look). I was very polite today when I called and the gentleman (I use that term loosely) HUNG UP ON ME! I think this company is scamming people and I'd bet an investigation would prove that they've been taking advantage of many others, especially the elderly.

    I have talked with SEVERAL representatives, this week, in reference to initiating a claim on the inside unit of my AC.     In September 2020, ARW sent out a technician to check on my central air unit, my unit was leaking water; however, the technician had my unit leaking water like a faucet that ruined my walls and flooring. I called ARW. They offered to pay $500 and I would be left with paying over $1000 out of my pocket. I am very displeased with this warranty company, I purchased the 3 in one bundle(Deluxe plan) to ensure that I pay over $300 for. I end up paying out of my pocket to get another company out to slow the leakage; it was a blessing that it was almost fall and could go without using my air much. June 2021, I called them back to get another company to come out but I don't think that I should have to repay a service fee to correct what their contracted company messed up. I need for my central air unit to be fixed correctly.

    Have been trying to reach adjudication department to give me a resolution on whether completed service order invoice has been received and someone is working on it to be paid.     Updated on 6/23/2021: UPDATE ON MY CASE: TODAY JUNE 23/2021 after I wrote the review on Monday 21 the American Residential Warranty contacted me from the corporate letting me know that they escalated the case and that someone will be taking care of my claim, nobody called me from the claim department on Monday. Yesterday, the same person from corporate called me again to know about my case and she was surprised that my case is still not addressing by anybody, she communicate again by email to the claim department and told me that for sure someone from the claim department will be contacting me to give an update on my claim. Yesterday was the 5th business day they had the paperwork from the service provider (They manage claims between 3 to 5 business days). Today is Wednesday, 9:40 am and I am still with no AC, in Florida with 2 little kids at home on the middle of the summer and this people HAVE NOT RESOLVE MY CLAIM.

    Again, BE AWAREEEE if you want to buy this warranty to be cover in an emergency they will not treat your emergency at all. They do not care and they do not even have power over the claim department. I have been talking with someone from corporate department and they have not the ability to make the claim department to take care of your EMERGENCY. They will not honor what it said in their policy, that if it is over 90F outside they will handle it as an emergency. It's been a week now from the day I needed to turn my AC off because the service provider said it will completed broke and they have not even answer if they will cover the repair and how much they will cover. This is not worthy your money, BE AWEREEEE!!!

    Original review: BE AWAREEEE!!! If I had the option to put not start I will do it. I never write reviews but in this case I needed to share my experience because it can save someone from having the bad time Me and my family are getting at this moment. They have a good customer service at the beginning but they will NOT handle your case properly when you need them the most. Our AC broke at the beginning of June. On Tuesday June 6/15, the technician came to our house and evaluated the problem, he sent the papers to get approved for the repair. It is Monday 6/21 and we have not hear from nobody, nothing from American Residential Warranty nor from the technician company.

    We decided to go ahead and call American Residential Warranty to know the status of our case, since this is an emergency living in Florida and during Summer time. Well we have been calling them since Friday in order to get an answer and they make us wait for hours and nobody answer the phone at all. At this point, I am still waiting on the phone, writing this review. We don't know the status of our case with no AC on the middle of the summer, at our house with two kids 8 and 4 yo. This company sucks, be aware if you are buying this membership to have your AC covered or anything emergency, they will NOT treat your emergency as an emergency because in this Business NOBODY CARES for the customers.

    I'm requesting to send me refund for the 2 months of premium I paid for the warranty. When I signed up I was given information that is not accurate. I've been told by the agent that all appliances are covered including washer and dryer. And also I was not informed that there is service fee for every claim. I made sure that the washer and dryer are included he said all appliances. And I've been told that the monthly premium is all I have pay. I verified that information clearly and I even convinced my brother to sign up too.

    When we closed escrow on our house, we were offered to purchase American Home Shield or First American Home Warranty, both of which I tried in our previous homes. As I checked the reviews on both companies, I realized that their ratings were bad. Then, I looked on the BBB website and found ARW and they had the best rating. Debra from sales called me and explained quite a few things that made ARW a much better option. Just a couple of important ones are the fact that the deductible was only $55 as compared to others which are at $75 and the fact that when you call, you are not routed to a call center in another country. That helps a lot for communication purposes. So far so good. We are happy with the items that we called in recently. They were handled in a timely manner and the tech knew what he was doing and fixed the problem.

    My 83 year Mom has been trying to get through to these people for day! Her water heating was leaking and they had to turn it off. She has had NO hot water since Saturday and today is Tuesday. She had an appointment for the plumber to come tomorrow, but he called and told her that the company won't approve it. She has been calling all day, it just rings or she gets cut off. My sister has been calling and the same thing. I have been calling all different numbers, all evening and the same thing,, finally got through to someone who is clearly at home, as her baby was screaming... and she HUNG UP on me before I could her the account info!!!     When I called in to order the American Residential Warranty I was not told about the other Deluxe and better options for the warranty I even as if there were other types of warranties.     Cancelled my contract with American Residential Warranty. I was charging additional $100 for cancellation. Never had any claims and tried to cancel within 4 days of it becoming active due to misrepresentation of their plans. They have so many loopholes in their contract to do whatever they want to with your money. Customer service is rude as hell. I would never recommend them to anyone. Every time I would talk to someone in the customer service they would tell me a different story as to why I wasn't getting my money back then they charged me $100 to cancel my contract.

    I was given misinformation, not truthful information about the plan and cost limitations and then the rep signed me up for a plan I didn't select which was useless to me. If appliance cannot be repaired, they have a cap of only $500 depending on age of the appliance. Older than 10 yrs, you get $300 or less.. This information is provided after you sign up and pay and get the written agreement.. This is not how business should be conducted in my opinion. Complained to corporate billing office who agreed and stated maybe something will be done if enough complaints are filed. It's unbelievable how companies can get away with this.

    Even though I was promised by corporate management that they would resolve the issue of them issuing a check for the replacement of the a/c unit in **. I spoke to someone, they told me, all I needed to do was to email her the invoice as proof that the work was paid. Now they are requesting more information.     The gentleman that replaced my disposal was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He explained everything that he had performed. The gentleman that came to look at my dishwasher was very knowledgeable and described what was needed to repair the dishwasher. I was very disappointed in the contract itself that stated repair or if not replace. That was not true when I talked to your third representative explained that was if the cost did not exceed the limit put in the replacement cost of the appliances including repair cost. The contract was not described in that manner my understanding was replace. After having this contract for a number of years and incurring additional cost in the rise of your price I was very disappointed in this contract not living up to its word.

    If I could give a rating of zero stars I would. Warning, don't give them your credit card number. I've had the service just over 30-days. Called to have a plumber come out to address a bathroom plumbing issue. To buy into the program I'd already paid $204.94 in March. To request service an additional $55.00 in May. I received an email that stated, "We are reaching out in regards to your open claim on your plumbing coverage with American Residential. We were not able to locate a servicer to provide a repair at this time, so we are offering a buyout. The buyout offered will be the maximum limit of liability of $300.00 in a check form, which we will send you for reimbursement for repairs needed."

    In other words, pay out of pocket and WAIT, Lord knows how long for a refund. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING COVERAGE if I'm coming up with the money. This is a scam...I've tried to call to speak with someone several times only to wait for hours. Beware, I highly recommend that you keep your money and find a better service provider. If you are able to speak with someone it will be a young person working from home that does not know how to help you, but they know how to get your credit card number. If they can't give you the name to a service provider on the call before they take your credit card, you're going to experience the same thing.

    Called for service on an ice maker. Gave me a phone number in case I didn't hear in a few days. No call, number not in service. Repairman showed up unannounced and said needed to order a part. 9 days later I call the number, not in service, then call Am. Residential Warranty. They say that their vendor, the one they chose, refuses to use a part unless ordered from them. Am Res wants to send me a check for the part and wash their hands of this. I have no confidence that the amount will cover the part let alone the service fees. When I asked for a supervisor, none were available. Not surprised. STAY AWAY from this company.

I have paid my $55 service fee and no one can tell me the status. I have been given the run around since 04/15/2021.     Dave provided me with excellent customer service today... The reason I needed it though has provided me with ongoing frustration with American Residential Warranty. Most of my problems happen with the claims department. Very long hold times, no promised call backs and inadequately trained people with mis-information and the inability to make corrections to their system. Dave made me feel better, but the problem is systemic and needs to be addressed in all parts of the company. They told me they couldn't file a claim because my policy was new when it was simply renewed and I've had it for 4 years. 3 different calls, more than 3 hours total on hold... unacceptable. Dave, however, is great and should get a raise.

    The agents are nice but this company makes you jump through many hoops to cancel, waiting for phone calls back and then having to write emails to them lol... Sad in 2021 all this is required, clearly to try to manipulate people into keeping policies. Also my max warranty payout is only covered to like $800 per year I found out, which is absolutely insane since I paid $90 per month LOL. Had I known this company would barely cover anything I never would have signed up... My ac broke and I was told my max payout on my entire policy is $800 in repairs. Sounds like a scam.

    I requested service on March 26. It had been three weeks, and I had still not heard from anyone. I've called off and on and could not get satisfactory help. I called again on April 16 with the intention of cancelling the whole account. I was on hold for over two hours, and still did not receive adequate customer service.

    I was finally able to speak with a gentleman named Arthur. He listened to my complaint and apologized for the inadequate customer service I have received. I told him just to refund all my money, & I wanted nothing else to do with this company. I asked what he could do to get me to stay; I said get me the lighted ceiling fan installed that I requested three weeks ago. He asked me to hold. When he returned to the call, he let me know that he could get the installation completed, and refund the cost of the item too. Upon hearing him explain what he could do, I decided to go ahead and stay with the company and have the fan installed. He also stated that if I had any other problems, to call him and he would help make it right. I thanked him for his help and concern. He is the only reason I stayed and would recommend this company to anyone else.

    Arthur very nice and helpful, no complaints about his service and his helping me. Finally got a representative that listens to me! However American Residential Warranty has done nothing but aggravate me with the claim I put in number 18296041. They advised I was out of luck getting a repair and I needed to pay out of pocket for service and I MAY get reimbursed!! Spent over 2 hours on hold and got nowhere by service representative. Kept transferring me. Ask for supervisor and spent another 45 minutes to get cut off!! I then canceled my account!!

    Pathetic customer service. I have been trying to cancel my policy and wanted to go to AHS instead. I was told initially that I just need to send the cancellation request in email. I sent that. I followed up every alternate day spending hours on call for refund status. I was advised initially that the refund would be sent to title company. Then I was told, the refund would be mailed to my address. After two weeks, I followed up on my refund status. All customer service representation gives different response. Hence I requested confirmation in email. I am still awaiting my refund. NB: I can share details on my policy and emails to prove the genuineness of my issue.

    When I signed up on February 20th, 2021, I was told that I could start service on March 20, however when I called for service on March 20, they declined service saying that my service won't start until March 24 because there were only 28 days in February and they will still decline it on March 24th, because then it will be a pre-existing problem. I'm not at all happy with this run around they are giving me. Don't think very much about their integrity and am canceling my service with them.

    I had a problem with the work being done on my refrigerator. After talking to no fewer than 5 customer service people, I finally, after 2 days of calling, finally found one who knew how to listen to my problem. (Some seemed to be reading a script and some sounded like Robots. Others said they will get my contract and never come back, next thing I knew I was disconnected.) The customer service rep. that actually talked and listened to my problem and came up with a resolution was Hernst.
