    Sharlene Was Very Polite and Understanding With Solving My Issue. I had an issue with my debit card being block by my bank because of charges I reported that wasn't mine, so my bank blocked my old card, and my ARW payment didn't go through, but I was able to give Sharlene my banking info. and she was able to pull my ARW payment from there.

    I called 4/29/22 with initial complaints, it took me talking with several people to get a plumber. I had to file another claim in order to get a plumber to take care what should've been done. Several calls to the Retention Dept. and pleading with them to call the vendor making them aware of my policy Plumbing Advantage and fixtures was covered and the job could and should've been done. This issue started 4/29 - today is 5/12/2022 and I'm still fighting/waiting on resolve.

    So my HVAC needed to be repaired, and sent in claim. Someone comes out and does a test and diagnostics (a $125 charge) and the repairs would be over the amount they would pay for so they gave me an option of going through their servicer and paying out of pocket difference or sending me check (less the $125 charge) and I get my own servicer.

    I initially said I'd use their servicer and said let's set it up and do the repairs. Instead of doing so, they opened another claim, and sent another person out and did ANOTHER test and diagnostics for the SAME repair and they don't fix it just tell me the exact same thing the first did, but now I'm being charged for both test and diagnostics fees. And though I pointed it out and escalated twice, they just say your typical, "we're sorry, we understand but this is the decision" essentially saying, "we understand we messed up but it's your problem and you gotta pay for it." Pretty immoral business practice to have your customer be held accountable for your mistake.

    I called in to advise that I was canceling my service solely for the issue of an unauthorized automatic payment being debited from my credit card. I have manually called in my payments since I acquired your company 15 years ago. Needless to say I was beyond angry. I called in and the gentleman named Dominic answered the phone. He quickly advised me that there was an issue with this payment system after some type of an upgrade. With the upgrade he advised me that most of the customers were sent back to the reoccurring automatic schedule payment system including those who are not previously using the service.

    I continue to vent and he continued to calm me down. After assuring me he will put a notation in the system that I will be back on the manual system next year, he sent confirmations and receipt to me by email. He then went on to advise me about a service for a monitoring system through ADT which I currently have. He asked me to reach out to the company to see about an upgrade to the monitoring system for a little to no increase to me. Wow what a difference that information made to me.

    This gentleman was a GEM. He is truly an ASSET to your company. He literally stayed on that phone until he was sure that I was satisfied. I need someone to acknowledge that and let him know how he literally saved a customer from leaving your company and finding another for her needs. Dominic thank you thank you thank you. I hope I get you every time I call for payment. As a matter of fact. The company NEEDS to find that recorded conversation and use it for training purposes. Amazing customer service SIR DOMINIC.

    I recently filed a claim to have my leaking boiler expansion tank replaced. Paid my service charge of 55 to have a contractor show up. I was told they would arrive between 8 am and 5 pm. So I couldn't go to work that day. No One Showed up nor did they call to say they were not coming. A whole day wasted, I lost money from not going to work that day. I called the customer service department to inform them that no one showed up and they acted as if they could care less. I then requested to speak to the supervisor 3 times and was told, "No supervisor is available, someone will call you back." No one never called me back. I'm so disappointed with this company. I'm canceling my account first thing in the morning and I asked for my deposit back since no one showed up or called. What's the point in having home warranty insurance if they're not reliable or unprofessional. Don't waste your time and save yourself the headache!

    First my projector stop working and I had the electric add on so I sent it in to them to fix and was told it’s not covered, then my HVAC wasn’t blowing cold air and was told by the technician that it would need to be replaced and all that ARW gave me was $500 telling me that it’s too much to fix or replace. I told them, "That’s why I pay you guys to fix it or if it can’t get fix to replace it." But no, I had to hire someone and pay $4500 to get it replaced. This is the worst warranty company, do not believe their lies when they tell you if it can’t get fixed they replace it. Go anyway else but with them.

    I called 4 days ago. My appointment was this morning. Repairman from a Morgan appliance company from Mesquite Texas came to my home. He said he repaired the washer. He said he replaced a sensor in the lid/top. I put a load of laundry in after he left…assuring me it was fixed. The washer is still doing the same thing. I set the washer. It turns itself off doesn’t wash. I called the appliance company back no answer I leave a message 3 times. I call American Residential Warranty explain my problem they tell me to call back tomorrow. The representative from ARW was clearly irritated with me when I insisted the washer wasn’t fixed. The representative said they always come back to fix the washer??? They never fix it in one visit??? That is news to me. The repairman never said anything about coming back to finish the repair. This will be 5 days without a washer at my house.

    I pay a monthly fee to ARW and paid a copay. I refuse to pay another co pay for the same service call to send a repairman back out to fix the washer. I’m looking for another home warranty company. They ARW don’t have anything online no website. They clearly have misinformed representatives. With as much money as I’m already out I could have just bought a new washer. I’m very disappointed with my experience with ARW. Now it’s the end of the day my washer is still broken.

    Updated on 01/27/2022: Don't buy a "home warranty policy. This company only has call centers, you can't find a corporate phone number or even if they have a CEO. You get the runaround and then you are told you "should have have read your policy, you had 30 days." I had to replace a "covered" whole house heating system but they will only give me 595.00 back after taking out a 55.00 service fee when they was NO service from them or they so called repairmen. Then I am told today that they don't "replace anything, we only repair it." Please save your money and take these reviews very seriously. They are uncaring once they have your money and will think of any excuse to NOT pay a claim. So needless to say, once this policy expires I will NOT BE RENEWING, I will put that money in a saving account. Get a maintenance contract with your local heating and cooling company, it is cheaper and better than this as they will come out to do repairs with no "service fee".

    Original: I purchased the 4 in 1 package to cover everything. I have had this warranty for almost 3 years. I never filed a claim until my home central heating system went out on the oldest day of the year, at the time. The claim phone number takes forever for someone to answer as you are put on hold then you have to wait days for "their" repairman to come out. It was 11 pm at night so I called an emergency heating company. They came out but couldn't get part as it wasn't in stock and didn't know when it would be, mostly due to COVID. I needed heat in NY in the winter so I had no choice but to replace it.

    I got this policy because I was told I could hire my own repairman. Which I could. They told me to send the paid in full receipt, which I did. Then to replace the home heating system cost me $6,300.00 for my size home, and it was the cheapest option. I sent them the receipt not expecting the full price back. I got an email stating they would only cover $650.00, which is the limit of their liability minus their $55.00 service fee to set up a "service claim" which I didn't need, it was a warranty reimbursement claim. So they will send a check for $595.00. That isn't even 1/6 of what it cost, so explain to me just what I am paying for with this so called warranty policy???

    I have paid them over $4,000.00 so far and they only cover $650.00 for a full house heating system? It took two men 6 hours, that wouldn't even cover labor? So who were they going to send to my house?? You don't get to pick the repair company when you call and sent up a claim and I have found that most of them are subpar, one had an F on the BBB.

    I will not be renewing and I will put that money I send them in a saving account because they have more that is NOT covered than what is included. It appears that this so called warranty only warrants the company gets more money and they could care less if it is repaired properly or if you will have to put out a lot of money for a covered issue because they limit their liability. These policies are a total waste of money and gives me NO peace of mind having it.

    What a disgrace this company is! Their salesman lied to me. We have 2 houses and we canceled our old American Home Shield Warranty to sign up with American Residential Warranty because the salesman promised us it would be better. We are shocked at what we found out today! So today when we tried to use it for the first time they denied the claim. The representative was not very nice as well! We were very disappointed at how we were treated! They said we needed “additional coverage”. Nobody said we had the option for additional coverage. What a scam. Now the monthly premium is almost double what we were paying before! I have canceled both and I have to call the contractor myself to get this fixed.

    The companies they contracted with didn't solve the issues and had poor communication. I had a stove that wasn't burning cleanly and was spitting out CO. They came in and cleaned the gas vents but that didn't help. I had a washer that wouldn't drain or would give an error code and they said there wasn't anything they could do. One company was supposed to come but never replied or confirmed. Overall a poor experience. I signed up for a 1 year plan without renewal and they auto renewed and it was a pain to cancel.

    I have been without a dishwasher for over a month now, after having paid my deductible to ARW. They sent out A&E, who did nothing but break the dishwasher further! Now, on top of having a dishwasher that doesn’t run, the top rack is broken. There has been standing water (now mold infested) in the bottom of the appliance for over a month. The part A&E claimed they ordered never came. They pushed my appointment out WITHOUT BOTHERING TO NOTIFY ME twice, by two weeks each time.

    American Residential has no one to send me to fix the thing, because they’ve mistreated service providers so often and so egregiously no one will work with them for fear of not getting paid. They had to go all the way to FL, two states away, to get someone to agree to come out! Of course, when I pointed out the fact that they could buy me three replacement dishwashers for what they’re going to pay someone to come from South Florida to Mississippi, they decided they would cancel that appointment.

    I have a medically fragile child, for whom I need to sterilize dishes. I can’t do that without my dishwasher. This isn’t about not having the convenience of a dishwasher. It’s about keeping my sick kid as healthy as I can. American Residential doesn’t give a ** about that. When I said I wanted the buyout, since they CLEARLY can’t actually get my dishwasher fixed, they said they would be deducting $120 for the service call they paid A&E to come out and BREAK my dishwasher a little more. Don’t purchase a warranty from this company! They’ll just take your money and SCREW YOU OVER!

    Signed up on 9/2 - cancelled on 9/27. The rep I spoke to on 9/27 was a total incompetent jerk. Does not belong in customer service. Instead of cancelling my agreement and issuing a refund ($39.99) I was invoiced again on 10/2. Took several calls to get through - the quality of call was horrid. Sounded like a Third World Nation. Finally got to June today - 10/5 - after being on hold for 26 minutes. She is the first and only sign of intelligent life within ARW. You really need to improve your phone system and invest in training for the reps as the one on 9/27 should not have any contact with customers.

    I called in August to transfer my warranty to another home. In September I had an issue with a hot water heater. I called. They said I had no account. After about 5 different people and getting cut off numerous times I reached someone who looked further and discovered that I had indeed made the transfer but that their employee did not do it correctly. It should have been opened as a new account and not added on to my old. They were supposed to have called me back and waived the 30 day waiting period because the mistake was on them. No one called. And when I called in October 1st. They said I wasn't in the system. They had one address that was insured but not the one I needed work done on. (Mind you I have 2 properties that are insured with you all and have never made a claim before this. I am going through my 1st time and having a horrible experience.)

    The lady I was talking to transferred me over, that person gave me the runaround and was saying I had to wait 30 more days. I hung up on her and called back and got this man called Dominique. He was so patient, he listened and he said he was going to get to the bottom. Of this. He transferred me but the call was dropped. When I called back they transferred me to someone else that did not help me. I went trough 4 different people when one person said she was trying to call corporate and we got disconnected. Another said she couldn't find me at all but maybe I was on another account you all had. I said thank you, hung up and wanted to just cancel all my insurance policies with your company. I waited awhile, called back again and When I finally talked to Dominique he got me to the right person. They saw all my information, all the notes and finally I have someone that will be coming out on the 4th of October.

    Dominique called me to check on if things were finally handled. I told him that had it not been for him, his patience, his tenacity and his concern I would still be In the situation were I started from. I give Dominique employee of the year because he has solved this maddening, mind blowing disaster and turned things around for me. I am actually now going to get service that I have been paying for months. He apologized to me and wanted to know if he could help me with anything else. At that time the answer was no, but I would definitely ask for him By name if I have another issue come up. I did tell him that I should be given a gift card or something for the headache I have been put through since August 2021. This process has taken months, with long hours on the phone trying to get help. I was on the phone for 2 hours. When reaching Dominique and he finally helping. Please if you could give him recognition in some way he truly deserves it.

    Everyone I have spoken with are extremely friendly and helpful. A gentleman named Rick M. helped me get everything set up. I had spoken with other companies before ARW and they were all very pushy and rude.     I would receive a welcome package...I did not. So I called and they allowed me to download a "copy" which had sample stamped across each page. After viewing my plan I determined I didn't need this plan (after my plan had started) so...customer service today said he was asking for my full refund for me as I hoped for. I give the five stars to the efforts of my customer service rep dominic for his professional manners and efforts to find out the problem and trying to resolve..I still don't know if it will happen. I have paid for a year of service and $11.00 to mail a request to cancel. Waiting to hear how long it will be for a refund and how much. 09/29/21
