    American Residential Warranty was two steps above all the other warranties out there. When I called in my claim, it was an excellent experience because they took it right away. I didn't have to wait a long time on the phone for someone to help me. The first guy that came out already knew what was wrong, and then he ordered the part. It took a couple of weeks because they had to wait for the part to come in. But overall, American Residential Warranty is a good company. I had a satisfying experience.

    I called American Residential Warranty before the freeze here in Texas and told them my heater was not coming on properly. I have three jets in the manifold. If all three is not shooting out fire, it's not going to kick on. They quickly asked for the $75 pay to have somebody to come out and check it. Two days passed and I hadn't heard from them. Three days passed and finally, I got an email talking about a buyout. I didn't want a buyout. I wanted somebody to come out here and look at it. That's what they advertise but they said either I accept a buyout or nothing. They also said it's in the contract but who's gonna sit up there and read all 500 pages of that little bit of the fine print where you can't even see it. I'm going by what they say which is either they repair or replace. I've had a problem with them before on the same thing and I consider them a fraudulent company. I'm a legal witness that whatever they say that they do on television, they don't.

    Somebody who used American Residential Warranty said they were good, and I got it. I was very satisfied at the beginning, hoping nothing would break in my house. When people take insurance, they're not looking for things to break, unless it's a scam on both ends. I made a claim on January 8th, 2021. I called up and I said, “My boiler just broke.” It was 10:00 in the morning. The rep said, “Before we can do anything, you have to give me your card number. So, we can take our $55 out or $59.” I gave her my card number. She took it out. She said, “We cannot have anybody in your house till next Monday or Tuesday.” I said, “This is Thursday. You want me to be without hot water or a boiler from Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday to Tuesday?” She said, “Yes. We can’t help you till then.” I said, “That's unheard of. I have a defibrillator. I have a pig valve. I'm 88 years old, and I think I need hot water. Not even to shower, just to have it here.”

    I said, “You know, I'm gonna cancel this call if it's okay with you. And I'm gonna call my son and see what he can do for me.” She said, “Okay. You do that.” She was a very nice lady. She said, “Hold on, I canceled it. And if you find someone who can come in and fix it sooner, call back and give the whole itemized list and the costs of it, and we will reimburse you.” I called my son. It was still 10:00 o'clock in the morning. He sent in a handyman named Ramon to my house. Ramon took a look and said, “I'll be back in an hour with a new boiler. You need a new boiler, it’s broken.” He fixed the boiler that day, two and a half hours later, so I could keep a doctor's appointment at 1:00 in the afternoon. At the same time, he gave the itemized bill to my daughter-in-law and son. They called it in for me on the same day.

    I tried to call American Residential Warranty back. My daughter-in-law could never reach them. I got the claims department on the line, and they have a gimmick. After waiting an hour, they put this guy from the claims department on, and unfortunately, he happened to have a broken phone. Whatever he was saying to me was garbled, mumbled, broken. I said to him, “You know, your phone is broken.” But he didn't wanna hear me. We hung up. A few other people called me, and it was the same system. It was a bad system.

    I would not tell anyone ever to hire American Residential Warranty. They’re nasty when they have to call you. They will not reimburse me at all unless I let them get into the bank to get their money. I said, “You know, for four years, I'm a customer, praying that nothing breaks. And for four years, you go into my checking account and take out whatever money you say I owe you for the month. And that is wonderful by you. But the day I call you on a Thursday that my boiler breaks, you want me to wait from Thursday to Tuesday to send them in.” They didn't send them in. They never did anything.

    Dryer wasnt drying clothes. Called American Residential Warranty and they sent someone out to fix it. He replaced the motor and recommended that we clean out our dryer vent that goes outside in order to keep our dryer working longer. Worked very well and done within an hour or so.

    When I do a claim, it takes American Residential Warranty a while to respond and set someone out. I don't get any follow-up calls and I have to call them to figure out this and that. I have to track down a contractor on my own. While the reps aren't disrespectful, they don't have time to talk to me. My microwave's door broke and I had a claim for it. But, American Residential was never able to give me a technician for it. I had to pay out of my own pocket back in November. I just got the check for that two weeks ago.

    I took out the top of the line policy from American Home Residential. After 18 months of having the policy, we filed a claim to repair our wall oven which was having problems cooking evenly. We paid our deductible/co-pay/service fee and they sent someone out to repair it. The guy said he needed to order parts and after three weeks, we never heard anything back. I had to make numerous phone calls to American Residential and was literally put on hold for hours each time. I finally spoke to someone who said they could not get the parts they needed so they offered $250 for a "buyout".

    This means I spent the money for the service call and got nothing other than I have to go and purchase a $3000 wall oven and a check for $250. I was never told they have a $250 limit on replacing any item in your home. I spent thousands on this policy. I do not believe they could not get the parts. Once I received my $250, I cancelled the policy in writing and verbally. I was told I would get a pro-rated refund for my prepaid policy. Once again, everyone you talk to at this place tells a different story. My refund was supposed to arrive within 30 days of cancellation. I never received the refund and decided to phone them again. Today I was told they do not refund policies that were cancelled by the homeowner. It's been one lie after another. The policy is a joke. Do not buy anything from these people.

    I have filed a claim for the repair of our furnace on 1/23 (Saturday). A service provider was contacted on 1/26 (Tuesday) and that service provider would contact me in 1-2 business days that would mean by Thursday or Friday. I had to call a local provider to repair the heating system, which required a replacement. The replacement was made on 1/28 Thursday. This timeline is unacceptable, to be without heat for almost a week before a provider was even dispatched.

    I have called the customer service lines several times to follow up with this claim, I was disconnected twice, and each time the phone system clarity was very poor. I could not hear clearly nor understand due to the poor connections. Today 2/15/2021, I was on hold and transferred to 5 different people to answer my question concerning the status of my claim for over 40 minutes.

    The company that American Residential Warranty contracts with locally has come out and taken care of the items I had an issue with. The people are courteous, efficient and get the work done. When I initially started though, I thought that the entire house was covered. I bought a stand-up freezer and I found out later, after I've had the policy, when I wanted to make a claim on it, that I had to do an add-on. They said, "Oh, at the time that you read the contract, it was inclusive to the appliances that you had." I didn't understand that, but that's their policy.

    Trying to reach out to their customer service for adding things on has been an abominable situation as well. I reached a young man one time and he said, "Well, you have to send us the information about the stand-up freezer." I said, "Well, what exactly do you need? I could snapshot you or send you the serial number and everything. I don't know why you would need the purchase paperwork for it. I'm not arbitrarily grabbing other people's items from their house or having you go anyplace else other than to my house." They said, "Okay, we'll get back with you with a quote." I never heard from them again. I didn't add my stand-up freezer. I just went ahead and paid a local guy to come and fix what was wrong with it.

    On the items that I currently have in the house, the payment of $55 to have American Residential Warranty come out is worth it. The things that I've had done have needed that. However, the local contractors that American Residential Warranty uses may not have the part in stock and it takes them up to 10 days for the parts to arrive then they have to reschedule to come back out after the part arrives. Overall, if I had to give an alphabet grade, I would give it C plus.

    I was searching for a home warranty after I had one in my previous house that I wasn't happy with. I found Consumer Reports' best home warranties, and I read up on it and compared it, and went with American Residential Warranty. I filed a claim for a broken cooktop. It was starting to go bad. One of the burners doesn't work on it. American Residential couldn't find anybody in the local area so they just cashed me out on it. The whole process took 15 days from the day I made the claim to the day I cashed out and I received the check. It's way better than my previous home warranty. Also, American Residential has been responsive. Everybody in the call center is in the United States. I'm happy with them, so far.

    Last year, American Residential Warranty replaced my bedroom ceiling fan. We've also needed someone to come take a look at the air system in our home. Everything went well. It was fixed and it's working. The service was great. Nothing is 100% perfect though. If it comes to what the coverage is and what's covered, then I have complaints, but in terms of getting somebody out when I need them, they always take care of that. Recently, I did a request for service for my dishwasher. They sent a company out to look at it and the company had to order parts. I'm still waiting to hear back from them as to if they have the part and when they're coming back to fix it.

    I called a couple of times when the climate was cold. There was a lot of water, and my heating system was frozen. However, American Residential Warranty told me they couldn't come out because they didn't cover that. I also had a hard time getting someone. I was on the phone for an hour before I could get someone and I don't think that was a good thing business-wise. I know it's still the pandemic, but a lot of people work at home. I don't think I should have waited that long. Other than that, the rep was professional and it was good customer service. I started coverage in December, but I upgraded it the first week in February. I need to call because they put dryer and dishwasher. I don't have those, so I need to eliminate them. I don't want to pay for something that I don't have in my house. It's also too pricey because I'm on a budget.

    I was with American Residential Warranty before and they were good, but when I went to get something fixed, they couldn't get it done. They ended up having to give me my money back on the situation at that time. Because they didn't do good, I left them and went back to American Home Shield. Both of them are little too steep for a lot of people. They need to go down on their price, then they will get more people. Every time I try to tell people about them, they see that it’s too expensive once they check things out. American Residential Warranty called me back with a deal and I told them I’d give them one more try, so right now, I'm with them again. I've got a couple of things I need to call in on and right now, I wouldn't recommend anybody until I see what happens this time. I was very upset with what they did the last time.

    I’m getting ready to cancel my American Residential warranty. I went without heat for a week and a half. They sent a guy out but he didn't fix it. He called in and said it was fixed. I called to complain, and they'd never sent someone else out to fix it. So, I had to call somebody else to come in and fix it. When my heat pump went out, they sent somebody out and they fixed it. So, I can't complain there. It's just this last time with it being so cold out and my heater going down, they just couldn't get somebody out here to fix it.

    I put in a claim last week because we thought our hot water heater was going out, but come to find out the issue wasn’t the hot water heater. It was the pipe that leads from my kitchen sink down to where the hot water heater is. So we had to put in a new claim in for that on Tuesday. The young lady asked me who was the company that I had to come out here first to do it, and I told her. She said she would call them, but we haven't heard anything back from nobody and today is Friday.

    The one thing I like about American Residential is that they call to make sure that I have heard something from somebody, or do I need for them to call. I appreciate that about them. I'm very pleased with their customer service. It was really easy and simple to submit the claim. They got straight to the point, asked me what was going on, and sent me my claim as soon as we got off the phone.

    Plummer was on site Tuesday. A pipe needed replacement. Authorization for the cost was submitted Tuesday. American Residential Warranty has not reviewed the claim. 1 week has gone by. The service provider has try to contact residential warranty and sent a email. I have call several time only to be disconnected or waited on the line for over an hour. I was able to talk with someone on Wednesday who told me it would be taken care of in two days. Four days later I call again . It was like starting all over again. I am a senior citizen and I purchase this service because I wanted the security that if any thing breaks, I would have it fixed in a timely manner. I am still waiting, we have a pandemic and I need water. So please authorize the repair.

    Overall my experience is good. I do have concerns that the electricians and plumbers recommended for service are not licensed to work in the town. It would be nice if ARW would have a list of the licensed professionals. I had to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement. In some cases these upfront costs can be very high and the purpose of the coverage to minimize the upfront cost.

    American Residential Warranty is usually very responsive until the last repair that I needed done. I asked if they covered the electrical system because I was having issues with power sockets. Come to find out that it was a bad circuit board, which they do not cover. I wish I would have known that before they sent a technician.

    They tell you that they will cover repairs or replacement but they don't tell you that they have a CAP on how much they will pay out for an item/incident. I had a power surge that fried my computer docking station (for which I had extra coverage for electronics and accessories - at the time of warranty purchase they said it would be covered) and some wall outlets and lights units. They would not repair or replace the docking station as they did not consider it as an electronic accessory. My other repairs came to $450...but they only covered $350...and then deducted for the deductable from that!!! I was paying them $115 each month for home warranty coverage and that was all they covered!!! I also had outside plumbing coverage...for sprinkler system...and found out that they dropped that without telling me!! You are better off saving your monthly fees to put towards any repairs you may need in the future...

    We only purchased a 2-year warranty plan which was a good decision. Cost for coverage not good, too much fine print that will get them out of paying some claims. The claims and repairs process is ridiculously over-complicated. Overall I would not recommend this warranty company. It would probably be easier to file a claim and get the repair approved by your homeowners' insurance company.

    Ok, let me start by stating that I have had service been a customer of American Residential Warranty company (ARW) for a few years now. The company was my favorite because of the customer service that they provided. While, scheduling a service contractor takes a while it has always been a consistent process (I always had a service contractor provided after at least a three day wait period). But I was always able to get the repair fixed to my satisfaction. Lately the customer service has deteriorated to almost non-existent service.

    I put in a ticket for my LG washer because it would not drain and gave an OE error. They gave me a service contractor to contact (yes you have to contact them), and the contractor, Jones Service, stated on a Wednesday that he would be out to service my machine the following Monday. The contractor did not show up. I called the contractor to find out what the problem was and the contractor stated "He ran over on a job and could not make it." The next scheduled appointment which was a week later that I set up with him, he did not bother to show nor would return my calls.

    I called American Residential service to explain this to them and they stated they would give me another service provider that I could call them on Monday for an appointment. Now we are into the third week, when I called the service provider that ARW referred me to, the service provider stated that he did not work on LG products and does not accept American Residential Warranty. I called the customer service line and I was told that they would give me another service provider which was the latter service provider already given to me. When I asked them, what can we do to resolve this issue. I was told that I can either find my own service provider or they can escalate my issue to the resolution center who would contact me in three days.

    I stated to customer service that this issue is going on almost a month, now can they just transfer me to the resolution center or can I talk to a supervisor. I was told that the resolution center does not take calls and please hold for a supervisor. After a very long hold I was told that the supervisor would not be able to talk to me and that the supervisor would call me back later. (Yes, I am holding my breath for that call.) I don't know what happened to this company but the customer service is horrible now and I would recommend you find any other home warranty company to protect your home.

    This company is a joke, very unprofessional and the customer service is awful. We called the company on December 2nd to submit a claim and nothing has been done as of today. After so many messages in Facebook and having to pay out of pocket for the services needed they had someone call us to tell us that someone else was going to reach out to us to solve and help us with a reimbursement process. We are still waiting for that call. They took the fee for the claim and no service has been provided. Our calls are placed on hold for more than an hour and no one comes back to the line, we do have to admit that they are very diligent on taking the money out of our account to charge us for a warranty that only benefits them.

    I purchased home warranty from this company in May of 2020. In Sept 2020 I filed a claim for "basic electrical" repair. First they sent out heating and air company 2 young kids who were not licensed electricians and had NO idea what they were doing. I asked for a licensed electrician and after weeks of NO response from the company they told me they could not find a electrician?! I live in the 5th largest State in the Nation, are you kidding me! After filing a complaint with the BBB and AZ Department of Insurance. My policy does cover electrical. And now their paralegal sends me a letter saying basically because my house is over 10 years old they can refuse to cover for coverage I paid for!     I have been with America Home Warranty for almost 3yrs. I file a claim with them on November 9 2020. They sent a Gold Coast Home maintenance to service my Microwave Oven. He came out said it couldn't be repaired, so as of today I don't get any feedback as to the outcome. I have been calling Gold Coast, no one answers the phone, I call American Home Warranty, I get placed on hold transferred around calls dropped it's just been awful. So as of today November 23 getting closer to Thanksgiving still no Microwave no updates from anyone. Not to mention I pay my monthly fee each month on time and they charged me 50.00 dollar for someone to come out but this is the kind of customer service you get from American home Warranty. This is the second time I have had this to happen with them. They get your money on time but service is poor customer service very poor poor poor.

    I have made a claim for my well pump to be repaired. ARW sent out a service company who literally did nothing but tap on the pressure switch and claim they fixed it. Pump went out again a few weeks later and ARW was notified. ARW sent out the same company to "fix" the problem and they argued nothing was wrong with it (strange....no water coming to the house). I pleaded for them to change the pressure switch.

    They investigated further and apologized and put a new pressure switch on and found additional issues for which they said they were coming back to install the part. No show. A few weeks later pump goes out again and this time ARW charges me another deductible for an issue that wasn't fixed on the previous claim. We have been waiting for over 3 days (over 3 months counting the first call on the same issue) without water. In trying to follow-up on this new claim, I've been hung up on several times. Even once by a dispatcher named Macon (or Nathan) who was very rude and condescending. Buyer's remorse. I will be shopping elsewhere.

    Purchased our service in January 2020. 3 in 1 Bundle w/ Deluxe Advantage + other items. Issues and problems: Call to place a claim and you get placed on a continuous hold loop, when you get through after at least an hour on hold dispatch tells you that they have to transfer you to claims and puts to back in the loop. Once you get claims, they give you number, contractor details and date of service to contractors who don’t show up or provide details back to the company if they do show. ARW claims don’t return calls when the contractor gives a report back, if they are going to offer payout you have to continuously call every number they have to get any response.

    Final instance I’ve been waiting since August to get some assistance with my stove, this contractor came to my house 3x’s just to indicate that he can’t fix it and that’s after I called ARW for an update to be placed in that continuous hold loop to tell me that I have to call a different number for a payout that I wasn’t even aware they were offering. Another couple of days of continuous call loops to get through to an after hours operator who tells me that she can’t process my request but can make note and I would need to call back the next day to make sure the payout is processed. Here we are in October, there is no check from ARW and no calls... I just cancelled this worthless warranty and would not recommend them to anyone for any reason.

I requested that the premium for the remaining 2 months for my prepaid policy (December 3019-December 2020) of $600+ be refunded and my contract cancelled As of today 9/26/20.

    I was told I would receive a call from customer service on Monday, September 28, 2020 to tell me how much I would be refunded as I will have to pay an early cancellation fee. I am very sad and disappointed that I have to be penalized for poor customer service for a service contract I paid for in advance over 10 months ago. This is unbelievable as I am canceling due to no fault of my own, but am being charged for this organizational failure and communication disaster.

    On or about August 3, 2020, I filed a claim to repair my refrigerator. The technician came to my residence on August 17. He said that he would order the part and let us know when he would be back to complete the repairs; the company is A & J Appliance, unfortunately, I have not had a call from either A & J or American Residential Warranty. I have called several times and the response is the same, they have not received the part. No one has reached out to me to update me of the status of the repairs.

    I have called, and held on for two hours at a time, an hour, an hour and fifteen minutes. I was told I had to call "corporate" to escalate the matter, I have spoken with no less than 15 representatives who have no concerns about my problem. I finally spoke with a manager on September 11, and advised her that I want to cancel any repair service, and get reimbursed for a replacement, she told me that the amount payable to me would be only $240.00, and she would contact the claims department so that they can send me the check. Today is September 24, I have not received the check, and after calling corporate and transferred to claims, dispatch, and back to claims, I am nowhere closer to having my appliance repaired or replaced. I am appalled at the lack of efficiency and care of the representatives who work for this company. I remain hopeful that I will get this matter resolved before the end of the year.

    I will not go into the problems I've had with this company as that would take several paragraphs and I know it would make any difference to them as I've placed two other negative reviews online. Both time there was a reply that basically said. "We are sorry about your experience and someone will reach out to you to see if we can correct it." Well both time nobody ever contacted me and they could do so easily. I cancelled my membership in Mid-July because of the problems I've had dealing with them. I cancelled my credit card that I was using to pay my membership fee and got a new number. Then when I get the August statement the membership fee had been taken out which I didn't want to see. I immediately call them in late August and was told a check will be mailed to me to refund the fee. It is now Sept. 20th & I have yet to receive a check and never will from them.

    I also call my credit card co. and complain, they said that when the new card was issued a stop payment wasn't put on it. Automatic payments are put on a new card unless specially requested that they be stopped, well I did this. Requested a new card and was told a stop payment was put on it..well I'll see if that is true on the next statement. Bottom line is once I told ARW to cancel my membership I shouldn't have had to worry about it anymore. There should have been no more membership charges even if I didn't change the credit card number. This company is a ripoff and should go out of business...

    When the agent sold me the policy I was promised that I would be able to file and manage claims online. However, when I registered online I found out that for every claim I have to call them. When I called them to start a service call, the first representative could not find my account, even though I had paid them in full for 1 year in advance, more than 45 days back. I kept getting transferred from one rep to another. I am still on hold and it has been more than 2 hours. I haven't received a confirmation email that a service request has been filed. This was on 08/27/2020 between 9 am and 11 am PST, if their calls are recorded they should be able to corroborate. I am going to cancel my policy with them and ask for a refund.

    Repaired pipes in the wall where the pipes had busted and flooded the floor. The wall had to be cut and they had to repair the pipes. They did repairs and cleaned up the mess it made.     I set up a claim to get my dishwasher fixed because it was not washing the dishes. I called and set up a claim and paid the $55 fee for someone to come out. They then assigned me to Seven Star appliances who would be the ones coming out to fix my dishwasher. There was a delay by Seven Star due to a conflict in their schedule but they were very open about it and communicated that to me from the start. Once the service tech came out he explained in detail what was happening and even gave us some pointers on how to keep it from happening again. He was very helpful and fixed the issue right away.

    On 7/27/20, I called ARW to have my air condition service and have not hear back from any of the people that said would call back not even the dispatcher. I'm the one that's been calling almost ever other day. Yesterday I spoke to a rep and she stated that a supervisor would call my son, Pierce ** at ** within 24 hrs. That supervisor has not call. It's August 5th, still haven't heard from anyone I think I've been more than patience with ARW. Called today. People transfer me approx 3 times and one lady didn't even bother to ask questions and transfer me. You're probably sitting in an air conditioning house right now so you can understand after calling since 7/27/20, my frustration and being hot in this house why I'm so upset. This is unacceptable. I need someone to contact Pierce ** at ** ASAP and if he's not available to leave him a detail message and phone number on his voicemail who to call back. This issue needs to get resolved.     Updated on 08/17/2020: This is the second review for the same service date that still has not been resolved. I finally got someone to answer the phone once I left the last review. They sent second company out last week to look at my ductwork and since then it’s been cricket’s.... No email, call nothing.... I called today and the lady I talked to said they had nothing in the notes about the second company coming out last week. Also the company that came out tried to bill me for coming out after I already paid American residential.

    Another note: when I called 2 weeks ago to find out when they were sending someone out the lady I spoke too said they were having a hard time finding a company that worked with them and the company had to take AIG warranties. I never even heard of AIGBefore. All I can talk you is if you thinking about this company RUN!!

    Original Review: I just switched to this company and I am seriously regretting it. I called in on the 23rd of July with an issue (leaking duct work). It was at least five days before someone came out and the contractor stated they did not do the type of Repair and that ARW told them my AC was not cooling. Now I have been calling them nonstop to get someone else out. I waited on hold multiple times in excess of 30 min to only be disconnected before someone picked up. Twice I got someone and was transferred and placed on hold again for 30 min and disconnected before anyone answered. I received a call back stating they knew they had to reassign and thought good they are working on it.

    Two days later I still hear nothing so I call back. After waiting on hold another 30 min I get someone who read the notes and said it was just hanging there because it was never reassigned! She stated she reassigned it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she transferred me. After waiting 10 min I am transferred to a voicemail box that is full so you cannot leave a message!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible. They take your money but give horrible service.

    On 6/15/2020, I finally after almost a week, received a company to come and fix my air conditioner. I was without air on the first hottest day of the year. I am disabled and needed air. I felt the company did a good job, and paid for the service. On last Thursday, I received a call from my neighbor that she was having a leak problem coming from my air conditioned room to hers. I checked my room, and there was no water on the floor, or the hot water heater. The filter on the conditioner was wet.

    I hurriedly phoned the company that did the work, and was instructed to contact American Warranty, which I did. I was given information that I did not agree to, then told to hold for a supervisor which I did. I was on hold more than 1/2 hour. He told me he had gotten all information correct, and he would contact the department that would send the company back to my home. I have heard nothing. Today 8/3 I have been on the phone trying to contact American Warranty only to be listening to recordings, and being disconnected. My neighbors ceiling is buckling. I need help! I can't have her ceiling done until the leak is fixed. I'm stressed!

    I purchased this warranty thinking it would be better than others based on their AD on TV. The hold time is awful I held for 2 hours and was told wrong department transferred held another hour to be hung up on. I informed them that my Central air went out. Paid $55 to file a claim still no results. The company they sent out said the unit has to be replaced after reading these others reviews I think I am out of luck. I told them that my daughter has epilepsy and has autism and I have COPD and amputee. Due to COVID I was really concerned about going to hotel. I been waiting a week now.

    I previously had American Home Shield but transferred service to American Residential after purchasing my new home, BIG MISTAKE. After my second month of service I had a plumbing issues and called to place and order, very rude lady, long story short 1 week later no service call, nothing so I called back and a hateful young man sad your faucet is not covered, I have pipes leaking under the sink??? So I ask for a supervisor and he puts me on hold and comes back and ask me several times if I could call a plumber because the one that was appointed don't service my area.

    I am not in a rural area, just outside of Dallas co., he hung up on me and there was no return call so at this point and several hundred dollars, I have no clue if there is a work order in place. The reason I have warranty is because of being a widow for several years and home warranty is supposed to give me a peace of mind? I would think twice before signing up with this company. American home shield would of had someone here sooner. Beware of this company.

    I tried calling them at at least 6 different phone numbers to ask about a possible claim, for three days nobody answered phone, just put me on hold for 1 hour each day with recordings. I would never recommend this co. They did call me last week to tell me they couldn't charge my bill to my card, I told them I canceled it. They hung up on me!! What a rip off!!!     I chose this company after dealing with a few others because of the speed they eluded to over other companies to repair an issue. I phoned in and filed a claim for my AC Unit to be repaired and told it would take 1 to 2 business days to assign a technician. I also received an email to include my confirmation number which appeared to be in contrast to the information received by the person I spoke with over the phone. The email indicated it would be longer (2-3 business days). When saw the commercial advertising this company, the woman stated: "I called ARW after my AC stopped working and they came out and fixed it that same day"! This was not the experience I had. Hoping and praying it's repaired SOON!

    The dryer technician arrived early on the day of the appointment, I explained the problem of high heat smelled like the dryer was over heating, he found the problem in less than 10 minutes, put his test meter inside the dryer. He said it was working and it has been working better than when I called them. My washer technician came the following week. He was very polite. He asked me the problem. I told him and He knew the problem which it needed new parts. He ordered the parts to come to my house, schedule the an appointment to have a technician to come on June 8th to install the parts. The technician arrived on time, polite, friendly, got right to work, finished the job, cleaned up where he was working and left me a sample of tide pods. I had to call the company that ARW sent twice to check on the parts and they were very friendly and understanding.

    The policy that I was supposed to be covered for the heating and air conditioning that I spoke to the agent about is not what was covered. I made a emergency claim due to ac not working. Was declined by the service provider they picked the same day I found this out. Three days later that it was declined, contacted warranty company and they didn’t know anything about it after an hr on the phone with them. The warranty company called me the next day and said that it not blowing cold air isn’t covered by my policy even though that’s is what I was told I had coverage on. Still haven’t received my copy of the policy, they are a scam company. Buyers beware.

    In June 2019 fed up with a different home warranty I made the mistake of choosing ARW. It is not a warranty. There is a cap on all products covered of $1000 for newer appliances and $600 for anything over 10. I personally would never have purchased this as a monthly payment of $55 over the course of a year would be more than my items would be worth. The customer service agents were so rude and would only tell me that they were waiting on tech notes to process so I called the tech and he sent me the email they sent him stating they were rejecting the service. I was shocked to find out how little they were willing to do for my AC. The TV ads are fraudulent. They don't come on the first day. It isn't resolved for 3-5 days. RUN as far away from this company as possible.

    My dryer was not getting hot and blowing out cool air. I explained the problem and the person in charge took care of it with their next opening. It was not hard or long to get an appointment. What I really like about the service is they call to confirm if You are pleased with the service. If they felt you were not pleased with the service they will have the service tech return and explain what was done and whats the next step. I'm pretty please with this warranty. I just dont like to feel like I'm paying two bills..When I'm paying for this warranty and giving them an additional $50 before they are scheduled to come out, I just think that's too much.

    It just my opinion, and I've always said, we all have a voice and a choice, we just need to learn when to use them. I would recommend this warranty service to many. Thus far I have nothing to complain about. It's a real headache and can be very stressful when and if you have an appliance that just won't work correct and you know you've done what was needed and all options are gone on your end. To have this warranty and this must need plan is great.

    I have had this for 3 years, never used it. Feb 1 had a plumbing issue so I called ARW. The first 2 appts Feb 8th & 11th scheduled were not even scheduled with the company they chose to repair. Finally, (Feb 13) 3rd appt DP&M Plumbing shows up. Now keep in mind I have not been able to flush toilets (won't fLUSH), use showers due to backing up in the shower. So when DP&M (works out of their homes, no business office) arrives they look at the situation and say it is a septic issue and leave. So now it is Feb 19 and I call ARW to see what is going on and they have no record of DP&M coming here or their findings. So I am waiting again for someone to fix my issues. I am disgusted and feel like this whole business is a scam. They say same day service, not true. Friendly and professional, not even close. Take your money, Yes they do!!! So now I am off to get a septic guy to figure this out. People Beware not a reliable, trustworthy company at all.

    After 18 months filed a claim and ARW Denied after a month. I filed a claim for one of the recessed lights not working and after a month and paying $50 dollars copayment, I was told the light is not covered. Why was I not told when I filed the claim?? I cancelled the policy on 1/16/20 and have not received the refund and the $50 check that I was promised. They gave me such a run around and I was told to follow up with the contractors who did not want to work with ARW.. Very bad company to work with. Is they are almost a SCAM.. All existing customers please read the fine print otherwise you will be disappointed like I am.

    I have paid more than $17,000 in coverage over 15 years and received less than 10% of that back in 12 claims. There is always some reason items are not covered & in the event they are, it's for a fraction of the actual cost. $500 on a $7500 heat pump is ridiculous. Worse yet, I find I am having to repair/replace items that were not installed to code previously by the contractors they sent out. I'm an idiot for failing to cancel this policy after the first year. Shame on me.

    The heat pump stopped working. I put in a call and they were right on it with helping me getting it repaired A.S.A.P. They were great. They stayed on top of it and stayed in contact with me through the whole process. They were nice and easy to deal with. I would recommend them to my friends and family.     They diagnosed and repaired the system well. We have had other systems (plumbing) that our very expensive plan did not cover, but we were glad that they covered the HVAC when needed.     The Assigned company to repair my Dryer was very prompt. The repair man came to diagnose the issue. My dryer needed a new thermostat. Since he did not have it on his truck because of the age of my dryer, he immediately called the parts store to determine who had this part. It was that part store mailed the new thermostat to home overnight. The repair man returned to my home a second time with a friend approximately 4:30 PM to suck out all the lint be repaired the dryer and clean up; thank you. I was impressed.
