My experience with American Residential so far has been positive, I called and I advised them of my problem, which was that my garbage disposal was not working, the representative who responded was very professional and she advised me that they don’t send anyone out to repair garbage disposals, they just replace them, so she advised me that she would order it, and I could pick it up from Lowe’s.

Our garage door stopped working after an electrical storm. The next morning I called American Residential and they immediately scheduled a repair and installation of a new part for the next week. The company was fast, efficient, and I was very pleased with the results.

We had a great experience with American Residential Warranty. During the summer, our air conditioner stopped working. We called American Residential Warranty and they sent out someone right away and fixed our air conditioner. They have always been helpful and courteous to us every time we have called.

For the most part my experience with ARW has been 4 star. On one occasion I had to wait 2 months for a replacement washer, but when my heater needed repair they were right on time and sent someone out the same day.

Had our Dryer repaired. From beginning the phone call to ARW to the completion of the work time mannerism and he explained what was wrong. 5 *****.He knew right away what the problem was. Our Dryer is one that is kept up clean and does a good job. One that is a good investment my wife and I maded.

Our washer was repaired in a timely manner. The service company provided was efficient and did stay in touch until the service was completed. American Residential is a good home warranty company. In some of my experiences with claims the service providers were hard to get a hold of which was frustrating.

The AC unit needed cleaning so the air could circulate better and clean out the vents to get a better circulation. I had a plumbing issue. Johnson's from Lancaster showed up four or five times, didn't fix the problem, actually made it worse. Then you sent another plumbing company to my home. They were excellent and I have not had a problem with my two showes since that day...

The washing machine didn’t spin. The repairman fixed the washing machine however, it now makes a lot of noise when it spins. The repairman was very courteous and took the time to explain the problem. The repairman for the refrigerator was very knowledgeable about his work and he ensured I was aware of the problem and explained why he couldn’t completely repair the refrigerator. American Residential Warranty sent us a check to help us purchase another refrigerator. Thanks ARW.

I have used ARW's service on more than one occasion, but most recently, one of our 3 TVs went out and ARW replaced it with a 42 in. SONY with NETFLIX and On Demand buttons right on the remote. I have always received swift and courteous service.

Air Conditioning failed during summer when it was 105 in Las Vegas. Earliest day for repair that ARW set up was 5 days later. They charged me $55 to set up appointment. Since the time frame was unacceptable, I made my own appointment with a local a/c company with a 4.5 star rating. They responded the next morning before 8 am! Replaced a capacitor and checked the system, which then worked perfectly, for $180. I applied to ARW for reimbursement of the $180. I provided lots of documentation to meet all the fine print requirements. Took them 3 months to reimburse me. Of course, I’m out the $55 Admin fee. If it wasn’t for J.R ** and his/her customer service skills, I may never have been reimbursed. J.R. was instrumental in the successful conclusion of my claim.

I called American Residential Warranty because my air conditioner was not cooling - Kings Air came out within a couple of days - Their repair improved air flow but still was not adequately cooling. They returned again when I voiced a concern about the air conditioner still not cooling - Kings air came right out again to check their work. The 3rd time they were called because the air conditioner was atoll not working, Kings Air negotiated with American Residential Warranty to replace the air handler which was not adequately working. They were beeh mice on the phone - both the air conditioning company and the warranty staff.

Since being a customer of AHW, I haven't seen too much of a change in the punctuality. We are told it takes 24hrs, to receive a call back on when a tech will be out. However, if we didn't call back we would still be waiting on a call back. This is not good.. if the service was punctual like the funds being taken out our account every month then I wouldn't have any complaints. This needs to be addressed. Thank you, James & Loretta.

I have had a warranty with American Residential going on 2 years and I can't say enough positive things about it. When I first moved into my home I went with a home warranty suggested by my realtor and it was a complete hassle to set up a claim and the contractors were slow to come out and not extremely competent. Also the final price after what the warranty covered was high so it didn't really offer me any peace of mind. I am a single mom of a toddler who works full time and doesn't have any extra time, money, or peace of mind to spare. I researched all the home warranties available and saw the high reviews so I thought I'd try it and see.
I have had amazing customer service with American Home Warranty. It's easy and fast to make a claim and they are very responsive. The contractors who they send out are professional, competent and fair. If there is an extra charge over the $50 fee for each service call it is totally fair and reasonable. The contractor who have been called out have come quickly and resolved the issue quickly. I am so very happy with this company. Thank you so much for giving this single busy mom some peace of mind. I would highly recommend them.

Had two issues—ice maker in refrigerator and ac compressor. Ice maker issue was resolved without a hitch. Had to hire my own ac guy, which was faster than ARW’s guys (this was ok with me). Compressor was under company warranty so all I had to pay was for labor. ARW reimbursed me $600 of $800 not understanding unit was less than 3 years old. J.R. with ARW Quality Control called and is taking on this issue. I’m giving AWR 4.5 STARS —telling me I could hire outside network and be reimbursed and fir their QC calling and following up on my full reimbursement.

Last summer in one of the hottest day our air conditioner stop working. Needless to say it was very uncomfortable, and also it happened on a Friday. I called American Residential and that same day I got a call from company to tell me the name of the company that was on the way to get the unit checked. 21/2 months ago I was having terrible problems with submitting a claim for my wine refrigerator. It had taken 3 weeks of dealing with their staff and many, many hours wasted in the phone with no resolution in sight. At that point my case was elevated to the Corporate Office and a gentleman by the name of Chris was highly apologetic and professional and within two to three days resolved the problem. After that incident they requested I write a review and I responded with a glorious review without any mention of the grief prior to Chris getting involved.
Now 21/2 months later the refrigerator stopped working again and I immediately proceeded to contact them and it’s been a new nightmare. It’s been 3 weeks now without any resolution. The contractor they recommended Fusion Appliances has stood me up 3 times. They don’t keep their scheduled appointments and I’ve had to miss work with a monetary impact. When I requested to talk to Chris they tell me he is no longer there and the person under Chris by the name of JR does not respond calls. After much insistence they forwarded my call to Gavin (another supervisor????) who has been handling my case for about a week.
Today the same contractor stood me up again and that is the reason I’m writing this very poor review....still no resolution!!!! In my opinion a refrigerator that was repaired 21/2 months ago should not be broken again. I suppose that is the reason I’m getting the runaround. I am highly dissatisfied with the service. ARW provides false advertisement. They are only interested in selling you a contract...not providing a service.

The service man came to repair my refrigerator in roughly 6-7 days. That was perfectly fine with me because we were leaving for vacation soon. He was thoroughly prepared, knowledgeable, and courteous. This was my first claim with the company and I was very pleased with my service.

We had a waterline break in our basement. It flooded my entire finished family room, laundry room, and home office, which are located in the basement. I called a plumbing company to come out and get it fixed in an emergency situation. I was told that I didn't follow the correct protocol so they would only reimburse for a portion of my costs. They said I should have called and let them call or choose the "Preferred Vendor" I was an emergency!!

My experience wasn’t overwhelming as it was dealing with past Warranty companies. I wasn’t placed on hold for a long period of time searching for account information nor asking multiple questions in regards to my service call. The representative was knowledgeable, pleasant and was very concerned and helpful to getting my a/c unit running and up to par. Especially after explaining to her the the temperature in my home was reading 85 degrees with the outside temperature 96 feeling like 100 degrees.

The tech got the timer fixed, the dryer started. The timer had several selections for the consumer to select, but the tech only fixed the "Time to Dry" selections. He did not fix the 'Auto Moisture' selection. So the machine will still dry your clothes...you just have to hope you are lucky enough to pick the correct 'Time to Dry".

I have been a member of ARW platinum Premier plan since April. It is now September and I have had to place 3 separate claims. The first one was my AC condensation pump. Paid $55 for them to come out and tell me it isn't covered. I had to replace it myself at a cost of only $100 but added the useless fee to find out it wasn't covered.
Next my hot water heater stopped working. The plumber came out after paying my $55 fee and the proper repair needed wasn't covered. The plumber was only approved to remove a reducer which I could have done myself for $0. Now my toilet is leaking into the basement and I called for a service. $55 again. Plumber came out and determined I need a new wax ring. That service was also denied because the called the wax ring COSMETIC! The wax ring is the transition from the toilet to the toilet drain. It can not be seen ever once the toilet is installed and they call it COSMETIC? Absolutely ridiculous. This company is a scam. Fighting with them for a refund now. JUST DON'T DO IT. DON'T BUY THE SALESPERSON'S LIES.

ARW is amazing on keeping everything in your home running without it being a burden on you. Now all my family has to do is call them when something stop working and they will be to your house the same way they did for us. Our air condition stop working in the middle of this summer. We called ARW and their guy told us he can make it on the same day. He came out and not only fixed our air condition but, explained to us what was wrong. And what we can do to save that same problem from happening again.

Our toilet was plugged. The appointment was made for that day and the tech came and fixed it fast. The problem was probably due to something be dropped in the toilet and didn't go down. We’re very pleased with the service we received from American Residential Warranty! The top oven of our double wall ovens wouldn’t work, making both ovens inoperable. The technicians said that the codes showed it was the locking mechanism. Replacements were made, however, it was still showing errors. Then the company called in Fred. An Old-school repairman, Fred was able to fix the issue in one quick visit! Everyone needs Fred. We’re so appreciative of the work, we’re already planning Christmas Cookie baking.

My unit was over 10 years old and ARW would only pay $525.00 of the $1800 bill. They said it was stated in the terms and condition policy, but I NEVER received this policy. Talked to corporate and they did nothing. His name was Gavin **. He told me that their system said I received it on the 21st, but I did not receive anything from them on that date. Was not in junk or spam either. In other words I lied because his computer system said I did. Do NOT purchase from this company because they are not upfront with you and don’t back what they sell you. I cancelled my policy immediately.

My mom ac unit went out and they say because of age and the max limit is on $300. So this is something that they do not tell you when you sign up. Huge rip off. Mind you my mom is 87 years old and we live in a desert where Temps reach over 105 on a regular basis. This was a horrible experience and a lesson learned about reading the paperwork before signing up. I would never use these guys again. I'm switching her over to AHS.

Our hot water heater had stopped working - our initial transaction with ARW did not go so well - first they could not find our account. Then, after a few weeks of trying to resolve the issue - J.R. from the corporate office got involved with the claims department. He found our account number that claims said did not exist (even though we paid our bill each month), then he helped get expedited service to get a plumber out to our location to troubleshoot the system. Even though it took a few weeks to get things moving - with J.R.'s help, we were able to get through the process and we have a working water heater now. Thanks for your help and sticking with us J.R. - it is good to have hot water back on.

Air conditioning system stopped working. It was the beginning of summer. American Residential helped pay towards the cost of a new system. They came out within a few days. Technician was honest and dependable. He recommended several different units and was honest about their reliability and differences. Service was great.

My wife contacted ARW because the dishwasher would not run and our previous tenant told us it was not draining properly. When we came back to the house, the dishwasher would not run. ARW sent a plumber within 48 hours and he determined that the sump, heater element, and drain pump were all broken and needed to be replaced. We had originally asked that the dishwasher be replaced since so many parts had to be replaced - but ARW said it was more cost effective to replace the parts and see if it worked first. The plumber returned and was fantastic - he had all the parts replaced and the dishwasher is running like new. I wanted to thank the Corporate Office rep (J.R.) who helped us coordinate the Claim since ARW is rarely able to find our account, but corporate office is always able to locate our account.

I called about my refrigerator, needs new rubber seal. Two months later call what's going on, "We can't find a contractor in your area so we sent you a check to get new refrigerator." "Ok how much?" "$300." "What, you can buy new refrigerator for $300. I have been your clients for 3 yrs, my first claim and I get $300." Then they have the nerve. To charge $70 monthly charge after I told them to cancel????

Sears made three trips to get the drum assembly replaced. They also checked all other functions on the washer to make sure everything was working properly. I only paid one flat fee for the entire service. I highly recommend ARW and all of staff.

I got the warranty. My washer wasn’t a new one but America warranty had my back. I call them and the next day someone was at my door 8 o’clock in the morning. So he couldn’t fix it so he call them and in about two weeks I had a check for another one.

I signed up for a warranty policy with American Residential Warranty a few months ago. The salesman explained that my appliances would be covered and I opted to cover my pool equipment. At no time during the conversation did he tell me I needed to list my appliances. He confirmed my appliances were covered. I called to file a claim for a wine refrigerator that was not working properly. I was told that it wasn't covered under the policy. But...I could add it. I asked wouldn't it then be a pre-existing problem? No...just wait 30 days.
I explained that the salesperson had told me my appliances were covered, period. The claims person transferred me to customer service, they transferred me to Sales. A sales manager, Jason, agreed that they do not ask for a list of appliances and my wine refrigerator should have been covered. Back to customer service for more apologies. I spoke with 10 different people. Bottom line, no...they will not cover the refrigerator. And now, it is an existing problem and would not cover it if I added it. Everyone apologized... but it didn't matter. They sold something that was false. VERY unprofessional.

My garage door opener recently failed. I simply called American Warranty Company. I I told them the problem. I paid the 55 dollar deductible. I do not recommend this company. I've had a few claims that I've had to call in for and I am now looking to cancel and find another company. When you call in with a claim they solicit your service fee before even dispatching your claim to a company. On one occasion, of course my $55 service fee was taken when I placed the call for my claim. I was given an appt. for a company to come out to fix the issue (2 days later), then on that day, no one called or showed up. When I called ARW, the rep act as if they had nothing to do with it. I had to make a few attempts to call the company and schedule another appt. ARW didn't care because they had my money already. Eventually the company did come out to fix the issue.
On another occasion, I called in a claim and of course the first thing they do is take your service fee. They assigned my claim to another company and told me to call them to set up an appt. The next morning I called to set up an appt. and I'm told that they don't cover my area. Why would ARW give me a company that does not cover my area. So currently I am waiting for ARW to get back to me with another company to get my issue fixed. Right now I plan on cancelling ARW. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. I AM VERY UNSATISFIED!!!

Water heater went out Friday, called company. Was informed 2 business days which will make it by close of business today. Did mention there's a company & gave phone number so they could contact. 1 time they called and with all the fraud going around and businesses calling the person deleted the call. I in the meanwhile called and spoke to the company who I've done work before. Told him the company would call back. Have they? No. I don't want to pay out of my pocket since I am on a limited income and am a disabled veteran, then too how much does a New water heater cost plus installation? I'd prefer the American Residential Warranty pay for it.
It's Tuesday and I've been Now told that the Adjudication Dept will review it and get back to me in 3 to 5 business days. The time starts over again so that will be Monday. What to tell me pay out my pocket and you reimburse? The water heater is still leaking and I have given the company a Solution. A company in my town. So all the other reviews good if you're in an area that has services. I need action Now!

I really would recommend American Residential Warranty Company to anyone I know who is need of this type of service for their home. As a matter of fact, I have recommended them to my family and friends already. I chose them due to the fact that my brother was already a client and was quite happy with them so it was a no-brained for me to give them a try and have been very happy I have done so.
My last service event was my air conditioner, which was having issues during 90 degree weather, of course, and it was taken care of to my satisfaction all for the cost of my deductible only; because you know these things always happen when you just don’t have the spare money, but the deductible is usually pretty easy to come up with. In short, I definitely recommend American Residential Warranty for their response time, customer service on the phone and if there is any issues that do come up, they are very helpful and friendly in taking care of it.

I purchase the Platinum Premier policy in May from American Residential Warranty. So far, I have filed two claims and both have been terrible experiences. When I reported the first claim, they told me the issue I was having would be covered under my policy. After two week of waiting on American Residential to approve the claim, they rejected it and said it was not covered. I still had to pay the $55 deductible and wait two weeks to find out it wasn't covered. I had called the company numerous times during the two week period to get status updates. Each time I called, I would wait on hold and then they would tell me they are researching the issue and would call back. They never called back.
I filed my 2nd claim last week for an air conditioning unit that is not working in my house. It has been five days and I still haven't even received a call to have an appointment with an HVAC person scheduled. It's 90+ degrees every day here in east Tennessee and it's very uncomfortable without the AC working properly. Again, I called American Residential to find out what is going on and they put you on hold to "research the issue" but then come back to tell you they will need to look into it further and will call back. This is really awful service and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Our heater stopped working and we called and they came out the same day to fix or heater. Luckily it was something minor, but I'm the middle is winter that was really important to have same day service. So for that they get 5 stars.

I have been talking to them about getting my air conditioning repaired for three days, each time I call I get a different person with the same lie about getting someone out. They claim to be trying to find a service provider in the area, why they don’t have providers where they sell contracts is beyond me. After dealing with customer service and reading the reviews I’m convinced I’ve been ripped off. If you’re thinking about buying service from them don’t.

Purchased their plan on 4-26-19, was told it won't be effective til 5-16-19, in June was contacted by their sales department asking if I was interested in upgrading to their 3 in one bundle, I said yes and gave them the money. I was told by the agent the 30 day requirement would be waived as I was paying today and my 3 in one bundle would be effectively immediately. Fast forward, fridge breaks down and they will only pay based on original coverage. They offered me $300, after complaining several times, they agreed to send $200 more. So five hundred for a new fridge, on TV they advertise, we repair it or replace it...NOT TRUE. I didn't have a fridge for three weeks, and lost approx $400 in frozen and other foods. They saw I don't have coverage for that! Even though the sales rep SAID I was covered.

I purchased this warranty based on the review. But I am so disappointed with this company. Looks it is trying to get all of my money. I paid the full year at once time. And I claimed one service with my water heater pipe leaky. And then after one month, I called to get another service with water heater, no hot water. They set an appointment for me for the next four days. But on the appointment day, nobody showed up until I called, they told me they made a big mistake to send a different state company to me. Then they said they would make another appointment in two days. They did not care whether we had hot water use at all. Then they also told me that since I can only use $300 to fix the water heater, with the first $295 fixing the pipe, I only have $5 to use for the next time.
I do not understand about it since I paid $55 trade fee every time. So I canceled the plan. But I only got $22 back (I paid $595 for the full year) after three months using with this home warranty. They told me that the $295 fixing fee should be paid by me and trade call fee and three months fee and $49 cancellation fee should be paid by me which I only got $22 back. I never met this kind of company. It is not my fault to cancel the warranty. They are not doing service right and also has the strange policy which fools the people. I have very bad experience with this company and would tell everyone about the situation. Do not use this company at all.

Fridge. Part was replaced in less than 5 minutes. Tech was very knowledgable. Have had previous techs that were not as polite or professional. Very impressed with the service. Will continue to use the service if we need service again, thank you.

We have had two washing machine, one refrigerator and one gas stove repair since switching to ARW from American Home Shield. The first washing machine repair was a nightmare to schedule and secure but it was under a recently replaced claims handler. Since the switch to AIG claims, the system is much more reliable, the service techs are better qualified and the process is much smoother. The first washing machine was incorrectly done and, within three months, the repair failed flooding the basement. I was unhappy that I had to pay another deductible to repair work improperly done by ARW’s tech on the first call.
It bothers me that AIG, regardless of the technician dispatched, failed to stand behind the work of the technician and charged another deductible. Current techs never have a part available causing an additional delay after initial assessment visit of at least one week even when you provide the model number, serial number and source of the problem.

Air Conditioner was not working, called American Residential Warranty and was given a claim number, they gave me contact number of a local Air Conditioner company located in my area, I made a call and spoke to the repairman himself and made an appointment. The day of the appointment the Repairman came to my home and was able to repair AC with out issues. Thanks.

Initially rated low because they couldn't find me in the system and told me to contact corporate on Monday. Found great customer service through their Facebook page that facilitated contacting corporate, submitting claim, and getting the problem fixed fast. They even waived the service fee. Now a happy customer.

We bought policy in November when we bought our house. Payment sent & we received a declaration of coverage in the mail from the company. Our AC has went out. We called the 24-7 number for claims dept and they state they can not find us in the system. It's about 90 degrees in the house and we have to wait until Monday to call the corporate office to figure out what's wrong. Unacceptable.

We have had to use the American Residential Warranty services twice thus far. Both times they have been phenomenal to use. No issues and they fulfilled their part promptly and to our complete satisfaction. The most recent one being that our microwave failed and the parts were too expensive since the unit was about 15 years old. So we got a brand new microwave and ARW paid for it.

I had a great experience with ARW. This is my first year with them and I am very satisfied. If a contractor fix something in your home and it stops working within that month, ARW will make sure the contractor returns without paying another fee. I am totally satisfied!

Very professional, very speedy, satisfying company. I love the fact that when you have a issue they immediately contact service department locally close to you and there are times where you can get same-day service. My central heat and air went out. I made to call pay my deductible of $55 and then hours I got a phone call from a service company close to me and schedule an appointment to come out within 24 hours. I had my central heat prepared and I was very happy.
