I have called several times about various appliances that was broken and also my garage door. And I got the help I need it each time that I have called. Within the same week that I called my appliances were fixed.

I have been a customer with this company for approximately 3 months and had one service in my home that was acceptable. Recently, I had an electrical problem; an electrician was sent out, but the problem was not rectified. I was told yesterday, by a representative in the corporate office that they would send someone back out to re-check the problem. Today, I received a phone call from another representative, from the corporate office and was informed that they were not going to send out an electrician to re-check my problem, because after 1 visit (cost was $1.69.00), I had just about reached my electrical quota ($300.00) and they could not afford to send out another electrician. We all know that electrical service work can be pricey.
This company states that they are not concerned (as long as there are no pre-existing problems) with the condition of your appliances, AC units, etc., they would cover it, but yet they have an extremely low quota allowance, which can possibly be reached after 1 claim. I would still have to pay my monthly payment of $95.00, but would not be able to put in another electrical claim. This is a "rip off" and I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company. I would STRONGLY advise anyone who is interested in using this company to make sure you have them to outline every detail of your plan with you before you make a decision to use them. I should have followed my first mind and used another warranty company!!!
Our records indicate that we re-dispatched a new technician at your request. The technician came out on April 27th and was unable to find any further electrical failures. The service provided was fast and accurate. This is a great service that helps keeps expensive repairs down. They find the repair company which is also an added bonus. I am a fairly new customer, but has not been 100% satisfied with this company. There seems to not be enough service providers in my area, which results in me having to either wait longer for appointments or get someone that I’m not totally satisfied with.

I called customer service to place a claim on my refrigerator and dishwasher. They were very knowledgeable and courteous. They set my appointment up and got me to Sears service center and the next day were out here to repair my appliances. All went as great as it could go. We contacted American Home Warranty for a washer issue, the representative were extremely helpful and friendly and assigned a technician that was amazing. I did research (on this site, Consumer Affairs) and determined that American Residential would be a company I could trust. One month later, after committing a 1-year subscription (to show my good faith and commitment). I purchased the Platinum Premier with the Deluxe Advantage add-on. On Day-31 (after the required 30-day wait period) I submitted a claim (for sewage odor in my home), and they immediately denied it without any effort to investigate. Told me that if there was no evidence of sewage clogs or blockage, then it's not a plumbing issue. They told me I had to pay for my own licensed/insured plumber to diagnose it as a plumbing issue.
I followed their direction, I even called to see if it had to be a specific 'network or contracted' plumber. They said "just a licensed and insured plumber in my state". The plumber came out, investigated, and confirmed the odor, that it's common to manifest overnight. He suggested the most cost-effective way to pinpoint odor sources, is to perform a smoke test. He suggested that the most common reasons are toilet wax-ring seals and clean-out cap seals. So I sent that invoice to American Residential, and they denied it immediately again... Citing it as "not a mechanical issue" AND pre-existing due to the timing of the claim being opened.
They wouldn't contact me about what is meant by "a mechanical issue". Nor would they contact me to explain why, after waiting the required 30-days (that they charge you for, but restrict you from opening any claims), they say it's pre-existing and too soon after the policy goes active. Rather than work with THEIR customer, they hire a 3rd-party claims management company to deal the bad news to the customer. So I was getting the run-around to get to any 'management-level' personnel at American Residential.
So I canceled my policy and as I predicted they tried to charge me for TWO months of 'service'. AHHH, that's the "American Dream" by "American Residential" standards. Charge people for a service, and give nothing in return, then charge them for the inconvenience they caused your company. After complaining, they 'graciously' extended me the courtesy of only 1-month charge of service. You know, that 30-day period where you aren't allowed to open any claims (i.e. You get no service).
Granted, they explain up-front about the 30-day policy, so that's no surprise. But when a customer accepts that, AND extends the good faith of a 1-year commitment policy payment, then don't harass them when they open a claim on the 31st day. And accuse them of pre-existing conditions. Below is more detail regarding my claim. (Sewage odor in the home, but no evidence of cloggage or backup). American Residential's Plumbing Advantage leads a consumer to believe that wax seals on toilets are covered. Implying that the basic plumbing coverage does NOT cover it, but with the Plumbing Advantage, you get “peace of mind” that it does cover wax seals. Yet they told me that "sealing of wax rings" are not covered, only "wax seals on toilets". Warn your plumbers of the exact terminology that American Residential requires.
American Residential should remove this misleading verbiage from their advertising. Regarding Clean-outs (caps/covers): Most plumbing professionals agree that clean-outs are normal (some say ‘integral’) parts of a standard plumbing system. Your Platinum Premier states it covers the “Plumbing System”. The licensed/insured plumber that looked at my issue, even stated that the ‘gold and platinum’ level policies that he’s worked with (with other warranty companies), have covered these items. I will be asking him which companies those are, as it appears that American Residential is not one of them.
Many modern homes are built with in-house cleanouts for more access points… This is a good thing for maintenance and cost. Again, if American Residential doesn’t cover basic components of the plumbing system, they should further clarify that their Platinum Premier w/ Plumbing Advantage, does NOT cover basic components of the plumbing system, such as seals on clean-outs. I am not a 'high-maintenance' consumer by any means. I feel like I'm pretty honest and reasonable. This situation with American Residential was quite disappointing.
ONE POSITIVE NOTE, the 'corporate office' service representative that I worked with, was SUPER courteous and patient with me. She did all in her limited power to plead my case. When I was trying to cancel my policy, she convinced me to let her try and advocate on my behalf. Unfortunately, they weren't open to their own employee's opinion of the situation. She deserves a better company to work for... One that is on her level of character and integrity.
We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the outcome of this service request, but we cannot cover pre-existing conditions. Normally you would be due a pro-rated refund, but we have made the exception to refund your full annual payment including your one time application fee.

True story. I saw the commercial so many time so one time I watch the commercial so I call and the salesman explained everything to me the way that I thought that it was too good to be true because I been tricked (fraud) so many time that I didn't trust anyone. But I'm so glad I signed up because my oven went out and they send someone to fix it without red tape so thank you. You're better than any homeowners Insurance.

We needed our dryer repaired or replaced. The technician came out and did an awesome job. We saved money by having this great service. When I purchased my home (new) in 2009 the Kenmore Microwave came with the house. Since 2014 I have had problems with the settings/panel... I have had it replaced 3 times and each time I called American Residential would send someone out. They would order the part, come back and replace the part. They were always courteous, and friendly. They worked with my husband and myself about times they could come out to fix the microwave. They never inconvenienced us. I appreciate American Residential Warranty company.

It's difficult to rate my overall experience because of where I live in the desert. In home appliance repairs have been ok but things like the a/c unit outside have not. In the future please do not send ARGO A/C repair here, they are the worst. I guess I would rate you a solid 7+.

Gentlemen was extremely polite and showed up on time. He explained the damage and how it could be fixed in detail. He had to order a new part for the stove but we were able to use the stove in the meantime. He came back within a week with the new part. We were very impressed and satisfied.

My Dishwasher was in need of repairs, the repair could not fix it. Therefore, it had to be replaced. The insurance saw that I was compensated with a brand new Dishwasher. I am very satisfied. I would refer this company to family and friends everywhere.

I joined ARW about 14 months ago. In that time I have used their service 3 times. Once - for a microwave then my air conditioner unit went out and just recently my dryer. Each time they responded quickly found a service tech to come out within 24 hrs. If it could not be repaired they notified me and replaced it in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with ARW and recommend them to all.

Garage Door Opener Installation - I was called this morning about this installation by Grant at American Residential Warranty company checking a job that was done by one of their contractors. There was a discrepancy on the payment and Grant took the time to research this problem and got back to me in a short while and all has been taken care of and I will be reimbursed. He was very helpful. Actually I have recommend this company to a friend who is interest in contacting them after their warranty service contract expires.

American Residential Warranty has been so good to us. We had a repetitive problem with our dryer, and so A.R.W. just replaced it with a new one. They even had it installed at no cost to us. In another situation, A.R.W. offered to reimburse us for plumbing expenses because the leak was caused by a repairman who accidentally injured our water hose. A.R.W. offered to do this on their own. Their co-pays are less than most home warranties and really do aim to please their customers!

American Residential did not have a pre-approved heating contractor in my area that could service my furnace for about 3 days. They allowed me to pick my own contractor. I did so and they were at my home within 45 minutes. The repairs were made, I paid the bill, submitted the bill to American Residential and they sent me a check very quickly, less the $55.00 service charge.

I have had nothing but great service from American Residential Warranty. They are fast, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this company to my friends. This warranty has given me peace of mind. I recently has my air conditioner go out and parts had to be replaced. They sent someone out replaced the parts with me paying only the $55 payment. It was wonderful.

Expensive repair that was fixed the first time for warranty deductible only. Parts had to be ordered but that is normal for any appliance repair. Took 3 repair people to fix due to weight of range. Good job by competent repair personnel.

Called in to get dishwasher fixed, however repairman said the unit was very old and couldn't be fixed. He call American Residential about his findings. Someone made contact with me and a week later I had a check to purchase a new dishwasher.

I have been with you for over a year and have had to use your services 4 times. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and in the country and definitely have a ''challenges". After NOT having much luck with the customer service in Mexico, they were just NOT understanding, I asked for Corp offices and called them, and first spoke with Katherine **, who was just FABULOUS. She REALLY wanted to help me and did!
When I called back, the next two days, she was busy and I got Thomas who also could NOT have been nicer, very professional, very helpful and finally solved the problem, by offering me a payment of $350 to help put towards a new water heater!! Thomas was very concerned and so very kind in helping me. I really appreciated his sincere & kind attitude in helping me solve this problem. If I may say this, I think good employees are hard to find, and you are lucky to have both of them. Give them both a raise to keep them happy and working with us customers in the best way they can. American Residential Warranty sent out an unprofessional technician who caused damage to our home while trying to diagnosis problem he was called out to repair... and it just got worse from there! I had to spend HOURS trying to speak to right person to let them know of this problem. Each person I spoke with gave me different answers and promised a customer service agent would call me back. I never received a callback and had to call again and go through the whole process again! I was given erroneous information by 13 different agents.
It took 6 weeks for our faucet to be repaired! AND we had to pay the second company to repair damage caused by the first technician! We had to pay so much out of our pockets - it would have been better just to call a plumber on our own. We were told by technician to order our own parts because “he didn’t have the time to do the research”. We were told by at least 8 agents that we would be reimbursed for the parts we purchased. American Residential is now refusing to reimburse ANY money spent toward parts. They stated we used all funds for labor (we paid for labor that was never done and for the damage the first technician caused!). This is the WORST customer service I have EVER received!

I’m very satisfied with this company with 1 exemption. They take my call fast & open a ticket. Within minutes/hour to schedule the appointment, the contractor gets out within a day or Monday if it’s weekend/Friday. I have even got contractor out 2 hrs after my call to ARW. The contractors are very professional & friendly. My only complaint in 7 yrs is no follow up on a major fix on my ductwork. I need All New duct but I’ve called 3 times on it?

Refrigerator repair - Very knowledgeable repair technician. The only thing I was not satisfied with was the amount of time it took to get the parts. As soon the parts came the technician was on the scene. He promptly resolved the issue. It took approximately 8 days for the parts to come in.

Sometime in talking with family or friends I often find out that they are having some kind of problems in their home with their A/C, Micro-Wave or stove and they are concerned about cost for repair. I ask them have they ever heard of a company called American Residential Warranty. If they did all of their problems would be solved. I saw an ad on a commercial about Residential Warranty. I was very cautious but impressed by the coverage. First I signed up and after 30 days I had placed a claim for my heater. First, the customer service was very knowledgeable and polite. Secondly, a certified technician replace a part for only $55. The technician was so polite and cleaned up after himself. My heater and air condition have not ran so efficiently since I have been in my home. Since then, I have used this company for plumbing and appliance services and I received the same respect, knowledge, dependability and warranty at all times. I have recommended my friends and two have signed up and have received the same type of services. I thank God for this company.

My hot water heater had to be replaced due to a crack at the base. I submitted a claim online and assumed that they would cover the unit. I called today to find out about the refund check (9 weeks after the claim) and was told that it was mailed. I happened to ask how much the check was for and I was told it is for $500. The new hot water heater cost $1,900 to replace with the exact same brand and size. At the same time I had to replace my booster pump and they don't even cover them. I had no idea that there are coverage limits and found them on page 8 of the Homeservice Agreement. I cancelled today and switched to American Home Shield that does cover the full cost of your appliances.

I had an electrical problem about two weeks ago, I called American Residential Warranty and they didn't have an electrician in my area so it took three or four days before they found someone who would do the job and they wouldn't do it until they got their service fee of 88$ first. Now mind you my service fee is 55$ so I had to pay the additional 33$ in cash, but the warranty company did reimburse the 33$. What I don't understand is why didn't they pay the service fee so I didn't have to come out my pocket. Also it took 3 weeks before I got the check for 33$. The electric company did an awesome job, please try to get them on the warranty team so I won't have this problem again. Thanks.

This company is a SCAM. My washing machine is leaking water from the door. I called put in a request for service, had to pay a service fee, a repair appointment was made, they never showed up for appt. Contacted Precision Services, stated they make their own appt., not ARW, made new appt., they showed up, said they had to order parts, came back two other times, needed more parts, never returned. This went on from December 2017 to the end of February 2018. Contacted Precision Services, stated the order had been closed to contact ARW.
Contacted ARW, they told me the repair company was paid for the repair that was never done and that the funds allotted for repair were exhausted, due to payment to the repair to Precision Services!!! FOR A REPAIR THAT WAS NEVER DONE AND PARTS THAT I NEVER RECEIVED!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!! I request that you consumers are alerted to this and that all the money I have paid this company ARW is returned to me.

I had a problem with my dryer and I was sent a company to repair my dryer. I had a problem with the repairman, called ARW to explain the problem and they took care of the problem. They called out another company never showed up. I got a personal representative and he ordered me a new dryer for all my troubles.

U-1st Services LLC did a wonderful job repairing my heat and air conditioner. They introduce themselves. They cover their feet before they started the job, found the problem in a timely manner, ordered the part, came back the next day and install it. I had a ceiling fan stop working. This was my first claim with this company. It went pretty smoothly, and now I have a new ceiling fan! The check came quickly and without hassle. The only issues I had were that the repair company they selected took a long time to call me to set up an appointment, and that the representative from this company had a rather thick accent which was difficult to understand. Other than that, this was a fantastic experience!

My experience with American Residential Warranty has been great!! We had a small bump on the process at first to repair my refrigerator when the service people schedule was booked in advance for 2 weeks. I explained that I could not wait 2 weeks for service. She gave me the reference number and said that someone would call me back and I could try to find someone on my own. Later that day, I can’t remember the lady’s name, but she tried to schedule service, but was not having any luck either. She was able to solve the issue about whether or not a service person would service the fridge or if it would be better to replace the item. She had to speak with her supervisor about the issue before she could get it approved. After that, I was able to get a new refrigerator for the home to avoid the hassle of having someone come out and taking me for my $$. Thanks Again.

We obtained coverage from American Residential Warranty (AR) several years ago and have watched the services deteriorate over the years. Today, I called regarding air condition services and plumbing services and was given a company not even listed in my city. I pointed this out to the dispatcher who further confirmed that this was the correct company. I contacted the company and they stated that this was the fourth call they had received this morning and they have continued to tell the caller that they are not contracted with American Residential. I called (AR) and informed them of my conversation, I was given another company and when I called that company, I was told that they would call me when they were ready. The coverage sounds great and the system would be great if it worked the way it was supposed to, it started off that way.

I had to use ARW recently when my microwave caught on fire. They handled everything for me. They sent someone out to check my microwave and when we found out it could not be repaired, they found me a microwave similar to the one I had and had someone deliver and install it. It took a few days because I had to wait on the repair person to come out, but I am pleased they resolved my issue.

Dryer stopped working. Called American Residential Warranty. They immediately gave me a claim number and the name of a repair company. I called the repair company the next day and scheduled a appointment. Upon their arrival the following day they determined it was not worth fixing. American Warranty contacted me within days and made arrangements for a new dryer to be delivered at my home. American Warranty was very professional and gave quality service. I would recommend American Warranty to any homeowner anywhere.

Alexia your customer representative did a wonderful job. This LG washing machine had been work on since original warranty run out. Sears had requested on numerous occasions to replace this unit, because the same parts had been replace numerous times. I have been a customer for many years with a Premium policy and your claim service agent would not honor my policy. I request a supervisor call me. Alexia call my husband, he explain the problem. She told us she would look into the problem and get back to us the next day. Your company is very lucky to have a employee that does a great job. Issues with stove & ARW paid $200 to replace the stove which was nowhere near the price of a stove. Another issue was the A/C that was not working properly and the technician sent out was very unprofessional and ARW did not fix the problem, but he did place the wires on the outside of the unit which caused more problems. We went another avenue to have it replaced.

Let me start off with, I hired this company to do a job as my home warranty company. I had to find my own repair person, had to call to get approval for the work, paid the contractor for the complete job, and then submit a receipt for work done. $236.00 later I am told my claim was denied because something got jammed in the garbage disposal. If it not working and I need a repair person to fix it, a repair is a repair. I think this company sucks at what they do. If you have to do all the leg work and pay only to get denied, you're with the wrong warranty company. I'm going back to the company I left for this one.

Woke up w/ no hot water. Gas company checked hot water heater. Said it needed replacing. Turned off gas to house. Called American Res. Got someone up there right away. Then came all the phone calls and confusing questions that were answered once before. Spent the night in a very cold house due to gas shut off. Next day, hot water replaced, gas turned back on. Life's good :).

I called and created a claim for fixing my garage door opener and was told that a service company will contact me in 1 or 2 business days. Three day later, no one contacted me. I called American Residential Warranty and was told that they are having difficulty to locate a service provider and has no ETA when they can find one. I am living in San Jose CA. Either there are not many local service providers that want to work with this company or this company is working at very slow pace. Very disappointing.

The worker was on time. They gave me a 4 hour window (11 am-2 pm) and arrived 5 minutes before 11 am. Fixed the upstairs toilet. The stoppage in the basement and repaired/replaced the garbage disposal. All in less than 2 hours. Awesome. I would recommend them and would prefer to use them in the future. The only reason it took that long is because he had to wait for authorization from the company.

I had my kitchen sink stopped up over a weekend and I called ARW and they gave me the choice of waiting until Monday for them to set it up or I could call a plumber of my choice and get reimbursed less my deductible. About 2 years ago my central Heating and Air system went out and American Home Residential, couldn't find no one to come out in the amount of time that I wanted them to come and (I wanted them to stop what they were doing and come right away) no one could, so American Home Residential let me find someone that was license to do the work, and they come right out and took care of me. My hot water heater went right after the Christmas holidays. They responded quickly and gave me the name of a local plumber. It was the weekend, late on December 29th. The contracted plumber came out early the next day and my heater was installed on the 30th, even though he had to order it and go out of his way to pick it up.

The ARW company is quick to respond to the initial request. Now that I know how the service works I can work with the system. Initially I did not understand there was a $50 deduction for each service. So I got confused over the reimbursement method. Now that I know I have to send the bill into ARW I only have to wait for the repair company to send me a bill. I appreciate ARW!

I put in a claim for my heating system and they never paid the company that did my repairs. The company stated I needed a new system and they refused to replace it. They stated I needed to pay for the system myself. Why have a home warranty if they don’t cover what they say they do. They have charged my credit card when they were not authorized to do recurring yearly payments. They refused to reimburse me my money. DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS. You are only giving them your money and they will not pay for ANYTHING!!!

I was upset due to our heating system went out on the weekend and they didn't have a service person available and was advised a person will call us back later that afternoon. Per website it show they're open 24/7 and you get a answering service person. The agent didn't seem very knowledgeable and confident in what she was telling us. This is our first time dealing with this company. I thought we were being scammed with this monthly fee $97 plus a monthly.
We contacted them Monday and spoke to a agent at the corporate office and she was helpful. She transferred us to this awesome agent Rose **. She was the most helpful and restore my faith in their company. She also advised that there is a state plan call Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry that could give us additional help and with a 76 year old mother and I am disabled this could help us greatly. I am now satisfied and would advise friends and family to get this service warranty. It didn't pay fully for the replacement of the A/C heating unit but, was given $1000.00 toward the repairs.

The electrician did a wonderful job, but from what he explained to me that the wiring in my home is not strong enough for the current that is needed, and that he did not think that the company would approve of it being re-wired.

My Propane oven wouldn't light like it should or stay on for the duration needed. The igniter was issue. The person from Modern Appliance came and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed. Had to pay full amount but was reimbursed within a week minus deductible.

Claim was approved, but it considerable time to complete the process. Constant calling to get authorization before work could be performed was a hassle. Sometime while the technician was on site, I could not get an adjusted / approval on the phone.

Most things are good. I don't Fax ability so statements are sent by US Mail. Contractors are not within your network so I choose from local contractors and I pay for the job done and you reimburse me in a few weeks. So far things are good.

I like the cheap deductible and great service. The only issue is you could get more contract for electrical service. I needed my heater fixed and when they couldn't fix they replaced it a timely manner and didn't take long term. Only money I had to pay was the deductible which was great compared to buying a new heater without the insurance. Thank you American Residential Home Warranty for the great service.

Sears was contracted to fix a leak in my refrigerator filter system. The first man to come out was very friendly and professional. He assessed the problem and explained everything to me. He said parts had to be ordered and set up a follow-up appointment. A different man came to install the new parts, and he was likewise very friendly and professional. Why am I the Customer having to find businesses that will accept your services. I came you to get it fixed, and I am told that I have to find someone that will take a contract with you, and most services say they want nothing to do with a warranty unless its from the manufacturer. I spend all my time looking for someone to take your Warranty and it is turning into a nightmare.
Last call I had was on my fridge, I called several people that you gave me names and numbers of, then I called you back and you called Sears, when I couldn't get anyone. I guess you have contacts, because I got a call from another company a month later telling me they would service my fridge, it had already been taken care of. I thought part of your service was that you arranged people to come out to my home to conduct the service.
I have had other situations where I was given contacts to call, and they said they didn't take your service warranty, and other times when you told me that you would fax a company I got to agree to do my repair with the authorization, and when I call back I am told NO FAX was received and without it they wouldn't do the repair without me paying upfront. I can't find any electricians in my area to do the work on my home because I live in a Mobile Home. That experience was from the last Electrical problem I had that you gave me as a repair party. Honestly, last time you called me and I was told this problem could be fixed, you transferred my call from your office, and I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, and then after waiting I was hung up on.

After submitting a claim for a broken washer in mid November, and being stood up by the repair person (contractor) 4 times, I was totally frustrated (had been on the phone for over 30 minutes while at work). It was only after speaking with Mr. James ** (who was initially reached in error) did things change. Long story short... Mr. ** resolved this problem way beyond my expectations. I did get a call from the company and they looked into my question and concern and did note there was a mistake and did refund us some of the money we had to spend out of pocket. I was hoping I would not have to write this but they left me no choice. I signed up with this company over the phone a couple years ago for heating and air, I pay an additional amount of money to cover 2 units. A few days ago one of our HVAC units went out. We called them and they promptly got a service company out to us and fixed the issue. We paid our $60 fee and the item was fixed. A couple days later the heat stopped working in the back of the house again, we called again and they sent the same company out to check it out.
This time a copper pipe had gotten a pinhole leak outside at the condenser and all the Freon escaped, because it was within the 30days we did not have to pay the $60 fee again. However the company that came to look at the problem called American Residential and they said we used our $600 cap and there was no money left to complete the second fix, and they also said we did not have 2 unit coverage which is not true since we pay extra for it.
We even called them and they said they would look into it, took them 2 days to get back to us and when they did they left a voicemail saying sorry they could not help us and they have already spent too much time and money on our issue. Be very careful if you're talking to this company, their sales team obviously do not know what they are talking about or doing when it comes to HVAC. And Seriously $600 cap on HVAC. That's like putting a band aid on an elephant's butt. I totally missed this and was never told there was a cap. I would of never signed up for that. I will be cancelling with them and going to a different company. Especially now that I had to spend $680 out of my pocket 3 days before Christmas.

The company does what they say they are supposed to do. We are pleased and it does give peace of mind. The deductible is sort of tough, but on a cost basis, it's definitely worth it in my eyes. We bought our first home this past summer (2017) and we opted to go with American Residential Warranty and their premium warranty with coverage for just about everything. So far we have made two claims and both were taken care of in a timely manner. The technicians they sent out were good as well. We got a check for $400 to replace our malfunctioning oven and while that money did not totally cover the purchase of a new oven it was WAY better than nothing! I am confident that the warranty coverage will have paid for itself before our year-long term is up and what else could you ask for?

I am calling for the first time to make a claim and was told I have to wait 2 to 4 days before they can get someone to come out to my house. This is not acceptable. The holidays are around the corner and they are not sure it might be longer.

Initially had major difficulties when submitting my claim and decided to cancel my warranty contract. However, after speaking with Jackie a customer care representative in the corporate office I was reassured that any future problems I may experience with filing a claim would be addressed and timely resolved by contacting the corporate office. I would like to add that I spoke with several representatives in the corporate office and found them all to be helpful and responsive in helping to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion. I am trusting that I made the right decision to continue my contract with ARW.

Dryer - I got a call saying that they would be here about 15 minutes. He got here in 20 which I thought was great. He got read to it, found the problem, fixed it in a matter of 20 minutes, he was in and out. The only thing I didn’t like was he didn’t hook up the dryer vent back up and put the screw in but that was no biggie. Thank you American Residential for proving to me that you are a very good company to deal with.

The lid will not unlock after the wash cycle is complete - this is the second occurrence within 6 months. Finding it difficult to schedule a maint tech to fix the problem, Chris suggested a new machine be delivered. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

When I first called ARW, the fact that I had NO working toilet in my house was considered somewhat an emergency. I was immediately referred to Hudson Enterprise Plumbing who came out within an hour even though it was late in the day and fixed one the same night. Upon my second call I was once again treated courteously, referred to the same plumbers who came back 24 hours later and fixed the plumbing to both the bathtubs and the other 2 leaking toilets. Overall a very easy & pain-free experience. I have used ARW's services in the past when my A/C died in the middle of summer and before that when my hot water tank refused to produce any hot water in the middle of winter. Service has always been quick and efficient and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home warranty company.

Excellent job. Had no problems. Everything was fixed. Contractor came out at a decent time. He was very polite and professional. Company was very professional. They called before they came out. Company arrived on time. Had no problems with them when they can. They cleaned up after their self.

They replaced the wires in the attic that burned due to an electric short in the heating system. Did an outstanding job. Thank you. I would recommend to a friend which I have already done.
