The dryer technician arrived early on the day of the appointment, I explained the problem of high heat smelled like the dryer was over heating, he found the problem in less than 10 minutes, put his test meter inside the dryer. He said it was working and it has been working better than when I called them. My washer technician came the following week. He was very polite. He asked me the problem. I told him and He knew the problem which it needed new parts. He ordered the parts to come to my house, schedule the an appointment to have a technician to come on June 8th to install the parts. The technician arrived on time, polite, friendly, got right to work, finished the job, cleaned up where he was working and left me a sample of tide pods. I had to call the company that ARW sent twice to check on the parts and they were very friendly and understanding.

Employees were prompt, patient, and understanding. ARW have wonderful consumer service. I submitted a claim for reimbursement and per the contact the claim was paid ASAP. I learned a lot during the process. I spoke with the customer service department and the contacts department. Very resource individuals.

October 2019, my dryer went out, ARW sent a technician, I can not remember the company's name, he was very helpful, had my appliance running in no time. My experience with ARW has been positive the entire time I have been a customer with them, they give me the opportunity to make affordable quarterly payments. I'm satisfied with their services.

Air conditioner. I called Residential Warranty Company on a sweltering hot Sunday. I was thinking since it was Sunday that was going to have to get a hotel room for a couple days. But to my surprise they sent a tech out right away to repair it. Great company.

My refrigerator stopped working tech came tried to fix said it needed parts and that they would order. I waited a week called repair A&E part not available call ARW who said they have 30 days SCAM!

Good company to work with. Very responsive to my needs. They have a few good plan options. I also enjoy the low deductible of just $55. They have changed how you pay the deductible now which is you must pay at the time of your claim.

The plumber came promptly. The plumber was extremely knowledgeable. The plumber went out of his way to fix the problem with my plumbing in a timely fashion. His work was extremely neat. He made it a point to clean up the area when he was finished.

Washing machine was leaking from the bottom. A professional came out the next day and fixed it perfectly. There were several small things wrong and he even showed me where the problem was and asked if I had any questions. Washer works like it’s brand new.

The policy that I was supposed to be covered for the heating and air conditioning that I spoke to the agent about is not what was covered. I made a emergency claim due to ac not working. Was declined by the service provider they picked the same day I found this out. Three days later that it was declined, contacted warranty company and they didn’t know anything about it after an hr on the phone with them. The warranty company called me the next day and said that it not blowing cold air isn’t covered by my policy even though that’s is what I was told I had coverage on. Still haven’t received my copy of the policy, they are a scam company. Buyers beware.

Our well was not pumping water into the house. We put in a claim and located Lake Charles Well Services in Lake Charles, Louisiana. ARHW agreed to reimburse us if we paid the bill for the repair services received. They kept their word and we received a form for reimbursement and after that was approved and processed, we received a check for the full amount.

Hot water broken. Took too long in days it was things could been done better. The manager did listen to my problem. He just blew me off. Sad. I’m a disabled vet. Sad day. I fought for this country. Wow. I was sad I pay for this service. It was done but it took over a week after service man came.

Dryer repair. They got a repairman it right away. Customer service was great to deal with. Repairman was pleasant and helpful. American Residential is less and bounds in front of their competition who we had and cancelled due to their horrible customer service. We're so glad we found American Residential!

Repaired the dryer. The guy was very nice and on time. He was very prompt at fixing what needed to be fixed.. He had to go out to his truck and get a part. He said that if it didn't fit he would have to order it and come back out the next day in order to get it fixed.. He happened to have the correct part. Very satisfied that we weren't out of a dryer for longer than we had to.

Electrical problem in the kitchen. Very easy and customer friendly. I would recommend to my family and friends. The technician came in. He was very knowledgeable about my lighting system. He trouble shooted the problem and had the parts to fix it on the truck. Didn't have order it. I was very satisfied with his work.

If it wasn't for this warranty from American Residential I would have paid more than $500 for my washer machine to be repaired. But I only paid a small deductible of $55 and it was fixed within days. So happy I choose this warranty.

I had a repair done on our icemaker which had stopped working. The technician showed up on time and fixed the icemaker and now it's working great. He was polite, knowledgeable and followed the virus guidelines by wearing a mask, gloves and reminding me that we needed to stay 6 feet apart from one another. This made me feel safe.

My refrigerator was showing 55 degrees and the drinks were warm. I called the company and the technician fixed the refrigerator. He put in a new temp control and a motor. Works like new! The company also fixed my electrical system on the second floor. The technician solved the problem in 20 mins.

In June 2019 fed up with a different home warranty I made the mistake of choosing ARW. It is not a warranty. There is a cap on all products covered of $1000 for newer appliances and $600 for anything over 10. I personally would never have purchased this as a monthly payment of $55 over the course of a year would be more than my items would be worth. The customer service agents were so rude and would only tell me that they were waiting on tech notes to process so I called the tech and he sent me the email they sent him stating they were rejecting the service. I was shocked to find out how little they were willing to do for my AC. The TV ads are fraudulent. They don't come on the first day. It isn't resolved for 3-5 days. RUN as far away from this company as possible.

I had an issue with my pool having a leak because the pump broke and American Residential Warranty was able to send a check out to help me have my normal pool company take care of it for me. I have been with them for 3 years and plan to be for many more!

The stove exhaust fan was malfunctioning and I was able to receive a check for replacement. I was satisfied. I have been with this warranty for over five years. They always call or send email after service completed for satisfaction.

My outside lights stopped working. I gave them a call and then an electrician came out and fixed my light switch within two days of me making the first call!! A reliable electrician came out and fix my problems the same day.

Sales person called and offered more coverage. Specifically stated everything was covered including wine fridge. Fridge went out, called warranty number and was told "Oh, we only cover your main fridge". This seems more and more like a scam to me. Purchase at your own risks!

It was great except the wait for parts, wish they had general parts on and when a person goes the order for repair what is wrong. The tech came out and saw the problem as described, he then ordered the part and came back 2 weeks later.

I had a valve go out in my fridge that controls the water to the dispenser and icemaker. The repairman came out promptly and assessed the problem and came out later with the part and repaired it. It's working fine now.

My Heater and AC broke down on a Sunday and I call American Residential Warranty and they send a profecional the next day and was able to repair my system and I only pay $55.00 for a service that could cost me more than $200 out of my pocket. I'm so glad I was cover.

My dryer was not getting hot and blowing out cool air. I explained the problem and the person in charge took care of it with their next opening. It was not hard or long to get an appointment. What I really like about the service is they call to confirm if You are pleased with the service. If they felt you were not pleased with the service they will have the service tech return and explain what was done and whats the next step. I'm pretty please with this warranty. I just dont like to feel like I'm paying two bills..When I'm paying for this warranty and giving them an additional $50 before they are scheduled to come out, I just think that's too much.
It just my opinion, and I've always said, we all have a voice and a choice, we just need to learn when to use them. I would recommend this warranty service to many. Thus far I have nothing to complain about. It's a real headache and can be very stressful when and if you have an appliance that just won't work correct and you know you've done what was needed and all options are gone on your end. To have this warranty and this must need plan is great.

Have had American residential for approximately 1 year... Have made a few claims, and I must say this company not only friendly but I was very satisfied with the process. All my repairs have been made to my satisfaction and I would highly recommend this company to any homeowner. I contacted ARW to report my furnace repair, and within 24 hour, they had completed the repair. Thank for the service so quickly. They sent a repairman to contact me within 2 hours and he arrive, accessed my problem the same day and the next day replaced my furnace with a new fan. Thanks.

I have had this for 3 years, never used it. Feb 1 had a plumbing issue so I called ARW. The first 2 appts Feb 8th & 11th scheduled were not even scheduled with the company they chose to repair. Finally, (Feb 13) 3rd appt DP&M Plumbing shows up. Now keep in mind I have not been able to flush toilets (won't fLUSH), use showers due to backing up in the shower. So when DP&M (works out of their homes, no business office) arrives they look at the situation and say it is a septic issue and leave. So now it is Feb 19 and I call ARW to see what is going on and they have no record of DP&M coming here or their findings. So I am waiting again for someone to fix my issues. I am disgusted and feel like this whole business is a scam. They say same day service, not true. Friendly and professional, not even close. Take your money, Yes they do!!! So now I am off to get a septic guy to figure this out. People Beware not a reliable, trustworthy company at all.

After 18 months filed a claim and ARW Denied after a month. I filed a claim for one of the recessed lights not working and after a month and paying $50 dollars copayment, I was told the light is not covered. Why was I not told when I filed the claim?? I cancelled the policy on 1/16/20 and have not received the refund and the $50 check that I was promised. They gave me such a run around and I was told to follow up with the contractors who did not want to work with ARW.. Very bad company to work with. Is they are almost a SCAM.. All existing customers please read the fine print otherwise you will be disappointed like I am.

I have paid more than $17,000 in coverage over 15 years and received less than 10% of that back in 12 claims. There is always some reason items are not covered & in the event they are, it's for a fraction of the actual cost. $500 on a $7500 heat pump is ridiculous. Worse yet, I find I am having to repair/replace items that were not installed to code previously by the contractors they sent out. I'm an idiot for failing to cancel this policy after the first year. Shame on me.

I think the repairs should have been fixed when I called in the repairs, not 3 days later. The repairman was professional and got the job done. The heat pump stopped working. I put in a call and they were right on it with helping me getting it repaired A.S.A.P. They were great. The Assigned company to repair my Dryer was very prompt. The repair man came to diagnose the issue. My dryer needed a new thermostat. Since he did not have it on his truck because of the age of my dryer, he immediately called the parts store to determine who had this part. It was that part store mailed the new thermostat to home overnight. The repair man returned to my home a second time with a friend approximately 4:30 PM to suck out all the lint be repaired the dryer and clean up; thank you. I was impressed.

Requested service for hot water tank leak. The same day within an hour of request contractor contacted me with a work order and a request for appointment. I asked when they had an opening. I stated ASAP. They had someone at my house within couple of hours. The problem required for replacement of the pressure relief valve. We purchased coverage through American Residential Warranty after getting a better deal than with a competitor. We’ve had this for about a year before we put in our first claim. Our hot water heater went out and needed to be replaced. Having to set up the $55 service charge over the phone before a service call could be made is ridiculous but we did it anyway.
Waited a few days for them to “find a company”. Ok whatever. They found a company and they came out and told us that we needed a new water heater because it was leaking. I get a call from American Residential and they told us that they have $350 that they could apply towards the cost of a new water heater but we’d have to pay out of pocket $1400! Or they could send us a check for $225. Wait, what? Yeah. I would have even felt better if they offered to cover half of the cost with us but no, apparently they only have certain things that they cover in full, a garbage disposal and a garage door opener and we have neither one of those. This information was NOT disclosed to us prior to signing up for coverage. Needless to say we cancelled immediately and will go back to American Home Shield. Do your research, folks. This company is a complete scam.

The American Residential Warranty sent a representative out to my home to check out my refrigerator because it was not getting cold. The representative checked the refrigerator throughly to repair it, but the part that was needed for it was not made anymore. Came home to smoke in our home. Fire department responded. Smoke was caused by the blower motor in the air handler which had burned out. Filed claim with American Residential Warranty. In June 2019 my AC went out and I called to get assistance to repair it. It was soon determined that the unit had to be replaced, however ARW would only pay for the parts required to "fix" my AC. The repairman that worked on my unit was on the phone with ARW for quite some time and explained that repairing the unit would not keep it functional for very long and that the unit needed to be replaced. I only received the amount that would have covered the repairs and not a full replacement of the unit as the TV ads state....

My dryer was put on Child Safety Lock. I thought we read up on my washer and dryer but we did didnt read up on them. The washer and dryer we just got because the washer changed. We thought this new technology on them on the washer and dryer's easy to learn how to work but it turned out it wasn't and without the help of you got this we would have never what the issue is. Professional customer service. Respond time is always very good. Sometimes though whoever American Residential Warranty sub-contracts to do the job, sometimes sub-contractor takes a little longer. BEWARE! This company lied to me from day 1. It was only discovered when I utilized the services and requested replacement of an item, as promised to me.
1. I was told if a repair could not be fix after the 3rd attempt, it would be replaced. Their Agreement has verbiage to that effect, but when I requested replacement (after the 4th attempt to the item), I was meet with excuses after excuses and long hold times on the phone.
2. I was however informed about the Arbitration process, where once you sign a contract with this company, you give up your rights to have your case heard by a judge or jury (again, this information comes after you sign the contract). End result, I am out over $1K with this company, broken Ice Maker, and damaged wooden floors. Additionally, the company tells me my refrigerator is over 10 years old, which IS NOT true. I purchased my home brand new 6 years ago (before my deployment to the Middle East) with all new appliances that I personally picked out. Military and Interested consumers beware!

I was with another home warranty company and was not happy with them so I switched to American Residential Warranty. I needed to make my first claim with this company and had negative results. I went to the website to get info on making a claim. I was able to fill out a form and submit it. That was my first mistake. After waiting all day for some kind of response I called the # to find out what is up with my claim. The response was no claim was filed. The online form is a joke.
After talking to the claim representative I found out it will take at least 2 business days. Today is Thursday so I will have this problem all weekend. One of the reasons I went with this company is from seeing the TV commercials. The commercials made me believe problems were taken care of in most cases within 24hrs or same day. Commercials lied. I feel this company is not what they say. False advertising for sure. I already know I will be looking for a different company when my year is up. Very dissatisfied so far.

I purchased the top plan from ARW in August after dropping my old warranty service. My first claim was 10/9/19 on my over the range microwave. They went out the repair company in which we had to pay 55.00 for. Then the repair cost more than allowed so on to needing a new microwave and in that being said I have now gotten the runaround since then and it’s now 10/29/19. Now I am being told the replacement amount would be 500 minus the 117.00 trade fee for the repair man that came out on the 9th. So we will only be getting 300 to replace a 450.00 microwave.
I will be contacting the BBB and my local news station and probably a lawyer to get my money back that I have paid in for the last 3 months. I was never sent a terms and conditions letter stating that they take out more money if things needed to be replaced. It’s pointless to have this warranty service. You might as well save your money that you would pay them for your contract and replace things when they go out yourself.

Once it came in the serviceman came back and fixed the problem. If I did have my warranty it would had meant I would have to buy a new fridge but with no money you can’t. All went well. It was my first experience with a claim. I got some of the money. Their was a slight mix up but resolved. It is a good company. Nice people and easy to work with and thrifty but that's alright.

My washer stop spinning and AHW help me purchase a new one after my machine couldn't be fixed. They pay for almost all the cost so I found one that was affordable and new with little out of pocket for me. I would recommend this company to all my family and friends.

I had problems with my A/C Unit and called American Residential. I had great response time and they did the job in a timely manner. My hot water heater was not worker. I was without hot water for the weekend cause customer service gave me a provider that was not working on the weekend. I had to find someone else on my own and they reimburse me my money that I spent.

Warning, do not use this company. I purchased the Premium Package in April 2019 for $659. I placed a service call with them in June for electrical. I paid the $55. A month later I called to follow up and I was informed at that time they did not see any notes from the electrician. The electrician was ordered to come back out to my house, he then told me he would contact the warranty company. Another month goes by so I called American Residential Warranty and they told me they declined the repairs. At that time I was informed I would receive a refund for the $55 in which I learned was a lie. I was then given the number to corporate. I specifically asked if I cancel my policy how much would I be refunded. I was told they had my information and another department would call me.
2 weeks goes by and no one called. When I did speak to someone, I was told they canceled my policy and refunded the remainder of the policy $63.00 of a $659 policy I have only had for 5 months. I informed them I never canceled the policy. I was informed I could then pay the $63 back and reinstate the policy for the remainder of the 1 year contract. A week later I called to pay the $63 and I was told I would only have the premium policy for 30 days and I would be invoiced $59 a month or I could pay the $659 in 30 days. A COMPLETE SCAM!!! Do not use them. I’m in the hole $714 for a pointless fake warranty. And they were unprofessional.

I don’t understand how this company received so many good reviews. They’re the same as any other insurance company. They want your premium and try their best not to pay claims...They’re no different than American Home Shield or any other crappy insurance company. I also notice they have advertisements on this site. Do they pay for that? I’m just wondering how this company has almost 400 5 star ratings...I don’t get it. And I used this site's information to choose that company.

Are there polite I knew how to fix my air conditioner. And they fix the problem I have been working ever since. I would recommend the warranty company to my friends and family and I have I've never had a problem when I call and talk to the customer service.

Out of three service calls two were handled efficiently and one was handled inefficiently. The service provider for the inefficient service call took over two weeks to get our defective garbage disposal replaced. The provider didn’t even know who was to pick up the product. The service was finally completed satisfactorily.

We had a bad leak under our bathroom sink. I called American Residential Warranty. They were very professional and helpful. They had us a plumber out the very next day. Problem solved. I would highly recommend ARW to anyone. I/we have been with ARW since 2013.

The customer service is great - I like how fast things are handled - my only issue is that the number of available contractors in my area is very limited. This time I had to use my own choice of contractors, pay the bill up front and then wait 30 days to get reimbursed.
