    This has been the worst experience ever!!! The workers are rude and unprofessional!!! My refrigerator has been out of commission a week TODAY!!! I’ve called to file a claim not once but twice, my problem is still not solved. I’ve called on THREE different occasions and always get, "the manager is unavailable, they will call you back," umph still haven’t received a call!! I am LIVID at this point. I guess the next step will be is to have my attorney contact them, this is RIDICULOUS!!! What’s the point of paying for this mess every month and they can’t give you the help you need when a problem arises? Can anybody explain this to me?

    My first review stated my frustration with customer service and both technicians regarding my request to repair my HVAC and washing machine. Later that day I did receive a call from two ARW managers. Both were very helpful and seemed concerned. I must say, I was impressed with the outcome of their call especially the one I received from ARW corporate office (Gavin - mgr). I believe he understood the issues and expedited a fair resolution.

    It would take me an hour to express my frustration with American Residential Warranty. Customer service is terrible. Hours waiting for resolutions, being transferred to different areas multiple times with the same unresolved outcomes. The Technicians are the worst I have ever encountered (terrible attitudes, requesting cash for the visits, misdiagnosing problems, etc.). I would suggest those reading this to also review the comments of V of Phila, PA on September 7th, 2018 and Emily of San Marco, CA. I would be duplicating my experiences if I were to continue at this point. Warning!!! Don't go through the same aggravation. If not your first request, ultimately the same will happen to you.

    Unfortunately things happen in life so you purchase warranty plans as a security blanket...best to have and not need them to need and not have. With that said 2018 has been a crazy year for my household. First our dryer and stove went bad so we had to file a claim which turned out to be a disaster because of the back and forth with the service repair company the warranty company gave us. After all the back and forth we did received a call from the warranty customer service manager (Gavin) who worked with us to right the situation. Ok fast forward two months later our Refrigerator went bad in the middle of a heatwave. Once again called the warranty company to file a claim.

    Once again they gave us the previous repair company that never called us back after several calls. We reached out to the company manager who assisted us previously to inform him of our frustration with calling the same service company who never had the decency to return our phone calls to set up a service date. Finally the manager called us back and gave us a different service company who could not get to us until a few days later. The company came out and said it was the fan that broke so they replaced it. The refrigerator worked for approximately a week and then died again. Once again we called the warranty company to let them know and they advised they would look into the matter. Once again and two three weeks later we are getting the back and forth from the warranty company.

    Their policy is to repair or replace which is totally false and misleading because our refrigerator has been repaired and a week later it was not working so at this point they should be looking to replace it per their policy. After repeated follow up calls trying to get in touch with management James from the warranty company finally called us back and gave us an excuse for taking so long to get back to us. He said they were trying to get a copy of the repair invoice from the service company but was unsuccessful because the repair person took the repair invoices on vacation with him which sounds like a complete sack of bologna.

    Long story short DO NOT purchase a home warranty service contract from this company. They DO NOT honor their policy and will send you into complete distress. There are plenty of other warranty companies out there that will honor their commitment and value their customers. We are pissed customers at this point and still waiting for a manager who can make a discussion to once again right this wrong situation.

    It has been three weeks with no refrigeration during a heat wave plus we lost a lot of food because the refrigerator went out again after being repaired by their service company during the Labor Day holiday weekend which we were supposed to be hosting a family barbecue that could not happen because we had to throw out all of our food. To this day it is costing us a pretty penny to eat out for a family of four for breakfasts, lunch and dinner so we are PISSED customers to the highest degree to put it lightly!!! Steer clear of American Residential Home Warranty Company.

    Requested an AC service to my home. Paid the $55 deductible and then waited 3 days for no one to call me back. Called them to back to say that I'll use my own service provider since they were taking so long and they said that they would waive my $55 deductible and they would reimbursement the service amount (after they had approved the work). Had paperwork approved and submitted mid July. It's now close to mid-September and I have yet to receive any reimbursement. I have emailed and called a supervisor (Bridget **) 5 times.

    Total, I've spent about 6 hrs so far on emails and phone calls trying to track down the reimbursement. Not the end of the world but just thought others should know that this company is slow and needs prodding. They've so far assured me that my money is "in the mail" so if all things go well, then I'd say this company is a C. If I don't receive it, then they'll get an F. =)

    My brother recommended American Residential to me at least 3 or 4 years. I was about to cancel 8 mo. later then my Refrigerator & Ice Maker stop worker. I had just had knee replacement surgery, so I needed Ice desperately, so I expressed The urgency of the situation to The claims representative they deployed Sears. Within 3 days not only did they fix the problem, they also defrosted my ice maker and installed a new motor in the water dispenser which was about to malfunction. I was extremely please with their work, response time and professionalism. I high recommend ARW to my friends and have referred, several of my friends to them and they have sign up.     Washer not working properly. Scheduled appointment and had my Mother come to home for service. The time from for service was excessive. Most companies give 4 hour block - My mother was there for 5 hours and then we had to rescheduled because no one to be there for at least another hour. Service came and accessed the problems - It took the office several days after service to offer replacement of repair.

    This was my first experience with this company. I have had American home Shield for many years. Due to many problems with that company I had been shopping around and shows American Residential due to their good reviews. My thermostat in my home was broken and initially and service provider and they gave me did not cover in my area. I called back and they said they would have to research and see if they could find someone for me to use. Two days later they informed me that they had no provider that they contracted with in my area and that I could contact your provider of my choice and have the repair done out of pocket after which they would reimburse me.

    The whole thing was somewhat confusing but I spoke with a lovely young man, Eric **, who gave me his direct contact information. This man was extremely helpful with me on each occasion that I called. I had the repair done and the thermostat was fixed. I sent them a copy of the bill and again waiting to hear back but did not after several days. Once again when I called Mr. ** he assisted me immediately and made sure that I was reimbursed as promised. I was not very happy that there was no service provider in my area as I do not live in a rural or remote location. The customer service that I received from Mr. ** was exceptional and it is for this reason that I was left being satisfied with my experience. I should not have had to pay anything beyond that my service fee out of pocket however seeing as how I am being reimbursed I am satisfied.

    I am very disappointed with the service this company providing. After I call with the issue I have with my refrigerator, they gave me my claim number and assigned to some local repair shop. Technician came to determine the problem, and told me will submit report to American Residential Warranty for approval. Week later nothing happen. I called to American Residential Warranty to get the status of my claim, and they referred me back to local repair shop. Finally, after spending hours on the phone, most of the time on hold, American Residential Warranty told me my case now with adjuster. There is impossible to get him on the phone to get status update.

    Finally, after being 35 minute on hold, adjuster came on line and told me the issue with my refrigerator is improper operation and they do not cover this. I explained that technician showed to me the issue with rubber sealer, so now they have to again contact technician for clarification. I already spend close to $500 on coverage, just to order. Regular repair would cost me much less. This service is complete ripoff.

    Placed service request on 07-23. Still do not have a washer. First company, ATR Electronics, scheduled and rescheduled 3 different times providing excuses (computer deleted my appointment, water pump on truck broke and then 3rd time just never showed). Called service again while on the phone with a nice gal. She put me on hold, called Sears and returned to the line providing me with the date and time Sears would be out.

    Sears came 08-09 and left a note at the front home “sorry we missed you”. I’ve told everyone every time “rear Home”!! Today Sears makes it to my door, nice guy BUT when he looks at his computer it says “collect call” stating they never received a service ticket from ARW!! Called ARW while the tech was here and explained all. Got transferred and informed that because it’s a Saturday, the dispatch department at Sears is closed So there is nothing she can do. I’m instructed to call again on Monday and told to speak to an adjuster!! What about the service tech? Well I was informed to pay him and that I would be reimbursed! Wow do you think I have any faith in that statement? NOT! Guess I’m going elsewhere to do my laundry! Grrrrrrr.

    I had a plumbing issue over the weekend. First of all they don't have any emergency weekend plumbing contractors. Second of all the contractors I was referred to does work for American Residential Warranty and they still had the contractor on their list. After he called me back to tell me he don't work for them anymore, anytime I called for a new contractor I was given the same person. No one ever tried to call me back to follow up to see if I resolved the issue or help me locate a contractor.

    I had to find one myself and pay out of pocket, after I called to get reimburse I was put on hold for 30 mins then when I hung up and called back they was closed. The representative told me to hold and never came back. Obviously she knew it was closing time and didn't want to handle my call. I'm very dissatisfied and want to cancel my account ASAP. Never would I recommend American Residential Warranty to anyone. Bad customer service and no good resource for plumbing.

    I opened a claim for my refrigerator which stopped working - had an appt set-up with a company they work with, service on site. I look up the reviews for the company and they are horrendous. Anticipating there will be issues, and to save time, I call American Residential and ask them if I can use ANY different provider which has better reviews, and they say no.

    Well, as I predicted, they send a guy out, takes a look at the fridge for about 30 seconds, then confirms it's broken and tells me I'll get a call the next day to schedule a specialist visit. It's been a week with no calls. I follow-up with the service company, and the owner picks up. He appears disgusted that I am even calling him to check the status. He says he's going to send to my case to another company, Warrantech, and I should call them next week to follow-up. "Just tell them your story next week" is the exact phrase he uses.

    If American Residential was better about who they pick, or at least allows their customers to provide some reputable suggested companies, everyone will be happier at the end, but for some reason, they don't want to do that. Not to mention they would actually save a bunch of money, by using a legitimate service company who gets to the issue quickly.

    After our Hot Water Tank went out for good which was when we found out that ARW could not cover it because it was more than 10 years old, we became sad because we had been without Hot Water in our home for sometime, and we had to take our 2-year-old to his Grandma house to bathe on a day to day basis which became very frustrated. But with the help of one of your employees he assisted us, which made everything so much better, knowing that we had to borrow monies that we did not have to purchase a new one, which cost quite a bit.

Everyone else that we spoke to basically said that they would buy me out of my contract which I had just renewed it again, plus with upgrade the service for a better plan, which one of your reps talked us into buying, just to find out that they would not be able to help us. So after being so disappointed with everything at this point, Mr. ** made me feel at ease, because at this point I was almost ready to have been done with this company, but Mr ** went on to assisted us, which made me have second thoughts about sticking with this service.

    Therefore you all can thank your employees for giving us a change of heart about ARW. I feel that he has went above and beyond the call of duty, when everyone else during this process has failed us. Therefore I give kudos to that young man. His Supervisors / Managers need to know, and realize how lucky they are to have individuals like him. Cause to be honest it's easier for customers to walk / run away from companies where the customer service at times aren't helpful, but I tell you, that you all need more individuals like him and Ms **, who has always assisted our Dad (Ed **) in the past. He was also the one to talk us in keeping the plan, because he has always said great things about ARW. He's an ARW advocate, lol. Again thank Mr. J. ** for everything he has assisted us with.     I was in need of a service call on my dryer. I was apprehensive as totally unacceptable service was rendered by Sears and Home Depot’s warranty group. My call was met with an attitude to get my dryer repaired. I was given a number for the repair company assigned to me and was told they would contact me the next day.(If no call received call AMERICAN RESIDENTIAL). The call wasn’t needed as repair company called as promised and we discussed the issue with my dryer. They have had experience with the issue and were going to order parts before they came out as they wanted to fix the dryer on first call.

    The day before my scheduled repair date they called to verify the time and date. The next day they showed on time with the parts. Luck was on my side as they had the part needed and dryer was repaired. The repair company employees were courteous and professional and explained how the part wore out. This repair took 2 weeks not 6 months and numerous phone calls. This would have been fixed earlier but my availability was limited and we worked around this. I was very satisfied with the service and have recommended AMERICAN RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY TO FAMILY, FRIENDS AND STRANGERS. PS DRYER RUNS LIKE NEW!!

    I learned we had signed up for 3 home maint plans in error. I called ARW to cancel & request a refund. In discussing this with your Rep (Kursha **) she solely convinced me if I were to keep a home maint plan, she strongly recommended I should keep my plan with ARW and why, canceling the others, which I have done. I don't often praise sales people but I must say Ms. ** was knowledgeable and helpful regarding all phases of your firms home maintenance plans and I would highly recommend her to supervise and training program you might have for new hires or even a refresher class to older employees.

    I am at my WA State home until this fall, which is where the location of my property covered by my plan with ARW. On 4/16/18 I called ARW & requested a copy of my plan & its coverages. On 6/27/18 I received a letter minus the plan coverages from your firm. Ms. ** was requested to send this information to me which she assures me will be done in 7-10 days, far too long for me, however, I have no choice so I will wait for it to review & consider renewing my plan in Sept 2018.

    I made a claim with ARW company for my ac unit. They first advised me that it'll be taken care of. They put me on hold to tell me there's no contractors in my area and that I would need to find a contractor on my own and they'll reimburse me minus my $50.00 deductible. I was also notified that it'll only pay $500 of repairs, but that's not what I was advised not told when I initially took out the agreement.

    I had another claim for my electric hot water heater, they tell me the same thing as before, they don't have any contractors in this area but they found someone to check it out for me and their service charge is over a hundred dollars and if I pay that they'll expedite me the refund for the rest. I ask the associate what's the use of me having a warranty if I have to pay the full price and they don't have a service contractor of any kind in my area. Mind you, I live in southwest Louisiana. Please don't waste your time, money, not effort with this company. You'll be sorely disappointed.

    I came home on Saturday after a trip away to stinking water everywhere under the kitchen sink, dripping from the waste disposal. I called then in the morning and made a claim with a lady who was extremely rude. On Monday a plumber came and looked under the sink and said ‘it’s the waste disposal’ and left. On the Tuesday morning the plumbers informed me that they wouldn’t be coming back that ARW were going to send someone else. I called in the afternoon to be told by another rude lady that I had to calm down and wait my turn... they would call me back within 24 hours... ehhh by that time it was over 24 hours.

    Well I’m still waiting more than 48 hours since the plumbers knew... Spoke to customer service this morning and they said they don’t know why I’m still waiting and someone would call me back... that was over 3 hours ago!!! What is going on... I have a Home Depot 10 mins from my house - unfortunately my husband is out of the country or he’d be doing it himself. I pay enough money for this service and you can’t even call me... and this is my 3rd day at home with nothing!!! Soooooo angry!!! Terrible service. Been a customer for many years and it never used to be like this. Save your money!

    Called in repair 10 business days ago. After holding on the phone for 60 minutes I was transferred to the department who found contractors to do the work since they didn't have one. This transfer took 70 minutes. They suggested I find a contractor and I told them this is their job and why I pay them. Friday I called again and talked to a young man who said he was in plumbing but he would expedite my claim to the "garage door" department and he would call me at end of day. Today is Tuesday. I'm so upset, I pay these people every month faithfully and I'm paying for a service they cannot provide. Surely this isn't legal.

    This company has a great sales team that makes this company seem like they are the gold star. However, when it comes to filing a claim - it's a nightmare. I had an air conditioning unit go out during 102 degree weather. I called and they gave me the company's name and number with whom I should deal. I called them and was told it would be "the following week" before they could come out. With 102 degrees, that was unacceptable so I called ARW back. They told me to "go ahead and call someone else to get it fixed. Follow the procedures of emailing for approval and then sending invoice for repairs." After 3 attempts, I still have no answer and have spent almost $500 on the repair. (Which by the way is the max they will pay for AC repairs in a calendar year.) I highly recommend that you shop elsewhere for your home warranty.

    If the warranty company schedules an appointment on your behalf and later finds out that the company servicing the customer’s claim is not open on that particular day that was scheduled then to me it would only make sense for them to contact the customer to let them know that the date they scheduled is not available with the contractor and to see what other date would work for the paying customer. Lost a whole day of work because they failed to communicate with the paying customer to advise the scheduled service date was changed and if the new date they chose was convenient or not for the paying customer.

    This is very poor customer service on their part which makes a very dissatisfied customer. I guess happy customers don’t matter much these days but thank goodness for competitors. Paying customers do have other companies to choose from so they need to keep that in mind if they value their customers and make it standard policy that they communicate any and all changes with the customer who is paying for their services.

    My a/c unit went out on 7/5/18. I called ARW to make a claim and was provided with 2 vendors who stated they didnt not service Atlanta. So I had to call a 3rd time after waiting on hold for 30 min and had the rep to call the vendor before we hung up to ensure that they could service my area. Well the gentlemen came out on 7/6. He literally stayed in my home for 5 min and indicated my air conditioner was locked and it would cost over 1800 to repair. I asked him if he would be calling it in AND he indicated that he didnt feel like holding on the phone and was busy. So I was dismayed and shocked by this buffoonish commentary and I called to communicate what their vendor had said and was told they could not move forward until they received his call.

    I called ARW over the entire weekend and all day Monday and they still hadn't heard from this Waddali character. So I stated you all are holding up my claim waiting on this moronic and i am still without a/c in hot Atlanta surging temps over 95 degrees. So I called my own serviceman to provide diagnostics so they came out and I forwarded to the warranty group. So I finally received a call from a Roberto (claims adjuster) who proceeds to tell me they finally received Waddalli notes about my repairs and they were only going to pay me so much money. I told them that their guy didnt access my system correctly and that I should be paid for heating as well as that was noted on the diagnostics. He stated he needed to call my ac repairman to get further information and when he called me back obviously he got into a confrontation as he stated they hung up on him.

    I was shocked to hear this as I was like I want my money as they were going to pay me out as my repair was above the limits but he wouldnt include the heating portion although my heating and a/c was broken according to the tech notes. He was very argumentative and ignorant to say the least we are only talking about 600.00 so needless to say after all of this I still have to wait 7 days to get my check. Also he didnt try to assist me. He was very combative and arrogant and speaking over me. All this money I paid and to have to sit up here in heat with my family was very insulting. I didnt appreciate that and I want my full reimbursement as I was given authority to get an outside quote since their repairman wouldnt respond. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE LONG WAIT TIMES AND NO ONE SAYS THERE IS A CAP UNTIL SOMETHING FAILS.

    Our washer stopped working all the sudden so I used the American residential warranty. I was reluctant to opening another account with the home warranty companies because it never benefited me and when I would try to use the warranty I would pay the service fee and it wouldn’t be covered so I was out of more money than necessary.     I specifically purchased a policy where my main appliances were to be covered. I even upgraded to the Platinum Premier Plan where my policy specifically said my Water Heater is covered. The repair person came out and said I needed a new Water Heater. However, after paying into my warranty for a year, my very first claim was denied! Even though my policy specifically covers my water heater, I was told that because I didn't upgrade to the next level of coverage (apparently there are several levels of coverage to really truly cover your appliances), the specific reason for my water heater going out is not covered. They did not even offer to pay 1/2 even though I have paid into this warranty for a year, I now get nothing and have wasted a year of premiums. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

    Our records indicate the failure you experienced with your hot water heater was caused by sediment buildup. Sediment buildup can be prevented by doing the annual maintenance recommended by the manufacturer, which usually consists of flushing the sediment buildup out of the tank. These failures are generally not covered by warranties companies, although we do offer an additional coverage option that covers sediment buildup failures. Unfortunately, that option would have had to have been added onto the policy prior to the failure occurring.

    Microwave stopped functioning, it would run, but would not heat. You arranged for a repairman to come out. He could not fix the problem, he kept checking the same thing over and over, went to get parts, finally he ordered a part and it took 8 days to get part. When he installed the part it failed to fix the microwave. Personal opinion, he did not know how to fix it. My Wife ask him if it would not be cheaper to replace the microwave via replacing expensive parts that fail to correct the problem. His inability to correct the problem has no bearing on American Warranty.

    Your company called us to suggest that the microwave be replaced. It was replaced by Lowe's by Lowe's repairman. The microwave functions perfect. We are very satisfied with American Warranty. We simply will suggest to you if we have a problem in the future to not contact the same repair facility. We filed his name and company so that we may furnish it to you if we need a repair. We have had a few things that have had to be repaired and we are VERY SATISFIED WITH AMERICAN WARRANTY. You are polite, and helpful. Thank you for that.

    I am a new homeowner and when I was looking for a insurance company American Residential Warranty came up as 4 stars. I moved forward with becoming a new customer. Fast forward to summer my AC unit went out. A new AC was not covered but they offered to spend a check around 530 to help with repairs. I still haven't received the check. Just to set up a claim took me three tries once online and twice over the phone. I've sat on hold for about an hour. Once I called to check status of my claim and someone picked up and disconnected call after I was on hold 45 min. Their customer service is horrible and I will not renew next year.

    I am in customer service industry and we get some of the most vocal people. We started out with a tech showing up for water heater. Miscommunication on tech's part about age of unit. Got that straightened out but we are down replacement, so for the amount of the job I will be out of pocket 515, that is the 800 quoted me and 285 (minus 55) from ARW. I have spent the better part of 2 days on the PHONE, ON HOLD. Waiting for representatives to either connect or call back. Having to wait upwards of 45mins to get nothing in return. 1 instance was a 48min call back with no one but an open line to the call center hearing the whole room talking with me "YELLING HELLO", to no avail. Awesome routing there. I called on my second line yet again 40mins+ to get called back.

    So in the end I will see 285 for my pain, when we have been paying 54.88/month for well over a few years with 1 other claim for our clothes washer, where again payout was the full amount 400 (not nickel and dimed). Where this current claim is not the full payout expected 350, not this bs of paying the tech an additional $55 on top of what was already handed to them in check form from us. Soon as this claim is concluded this will be CANCELED. Below is for the rest of the world to not jump on a classy operation as this one. You get what you pay for a 9 year old company.

    Your phone system is a circle jerk. You never actually get to go directly to claims you have to go thru a "SERVICE Representative" (hold time) to get to the "Claims Rep" (more ** hold time). That should be addressed when you are doing a claims status, should bypass the damn service rep. When the customer asks what is 'In Review' the "Service Rep" should have the ability to say I DON'T KNOW, being a parrot and saying 'In Review', doesn't tell the consumer anything. 'In Review' could mean so many things, but it doesn't tell me diddly squat. Analogy to the travel industry... when the pilot comes over the PA and says maintenance is coming to fix an issue, they won't go into detail 'cause it doesn't mean, something if they say the FMC is having an issue and might be put on MEL.

    American Residential Warranty... sucks. Two months of broken dishwasher, then they say they will not repair and offer my $65 net to go towards replacement!!! See you in small claims court. We have a 4 year old Samsung dishwasher that started to leak, called for service, took ages to get a repair set up. The technician they sent was a TV repair guy!! Who did not know how to turn the water off, nor how to "unplug" a built in dishwasher. He took the part number... that had already been confirmed BEFORE this visit and said he had to order parts. HE DID NOT EVEN INSPECT to see where the leak was coming from.

    Waited over 3 weeks for parts, he came back changed out the parts and left without testing. Needless to say leak was not fixed. 4 weeks later and many calls some with over an hour listening to music, a different repair guy come out and this time inspects... says its door seals and that they would order parts. But ARW decided there was no money available for the repair as they had paid the TV guy already!!!

    I have required two surgeries in the last year and not been able to work and have three to go so I was looking around to see if I could find a plan that was cheaper than mine but had the same benefits. I was told by the salesperson that this plan was very close to what I had and that they were so much better than the company that I had quick service blah blah blah and so much cheaper. To make sure I wasn’t being lied to that this plan was very close to what I have and they were so much better than the company that I had quick service blah blah blah and so much cheaper. To make sure I wasn’t being lied to I ask I ask for a copy of my warranty to be sent to me not just emailed as I have very poor vision and have trouble reading the print on the email version.

    I called back when the money was taken out earlier than it was supposed to and was told there was nothing they could do about that and again asked for a copy of the warranty to be sent to me. I called one more time and ask the same thing. It was not until my AC went out and I called and request It the fourth time that I got it. By then it was too late. It was a very inferior plan to what I had. On top of that the service person that they told me to call no longer exist and I found out they had not done business with them in over a year that I would have to come up with the money upfront and then be reimbursed. I did not have the money and their max payout is something like $600 for AC! My son and I got terribly sick sleeping in the backyard at night to try to stay cool as our house was well over 100° and they were absolutely in no hurry to help. In fact my claim was rejected one time.

    Finally after over 20 days I will send a check. I had called the day before to cancel my service that would renew the next day and was treated horrible by the cancellation department basically told I was lying. I asked for a manager. This person wasn’t much better and said there’s nothing they can do about all this and that the past is the past and I hung up on me before I was done speaking. To top this all off my son got very Ill to the point that they had to give him steroids on top of all the other stuff including ER visits because of the heat we were dealing with after I canceled my warranty with them. My son had an adverse reaction to the steroids and attempted suicide several times. The last time he almost accomplished it by trying to drown himself in water. He almost had to be put in the hospital as the water didn’t want to come out of his lungs.

    I spent approximately 40 hours on the phone with them as things got worse and worse for us and this company just doesn’t care. I explained over and over again I would never have gotten this policy if I had ever received my warranty in writing the first three times that I ask for it. Sad to say I went back to my old warranty company and found out that by upping my deductible like $25 I could be within five dollars a month of what they were charging for their warranty and my old company is warrantee is basically bumper-to-bumper Will 100% replace an AC unit at any age if needed. I learned a very sad but valuable lesson.

    I put in a claim on May 21 2018, they could not send an service person until 4 days later for our refrigerator. We paid for a service person on May 21, 2018.

    Paid $74.95, my understanding through 25 calls and emails the $55 would be waived and we would be reimbursed for the 19.95. Upon of receipt of the company on June 5 2018 they totaled 400 for reimbursement. 125.00 service call and the 55 for deductible. Amount 275.00. Were not what we were promised and no one response. After 3 emails and 25 calls no resolution. My thoughts this company does not live up to what was promise and a waste of money.

    We Purchased an Extended, Full Coverage Warranty on our new home purchase in FL, yet upon numerous attempts to file any routine claim, ARW Customer Service declined opening any Claim, whether it was large or small and also Denied us any service assistance under our contract. Furthermore, when requesting a supervisor in Corporate, the calls ALL LOOP back to customer service with a Recording indicating they are closed no matter what time of day receive the recording. After months of this nonsense we gave up though continue to receive 10+ Sales calls daily, exceeding 2 months now, harassing my employees.

    We are now sending this case to our Legal Department to file suit against this company for Scam/False Advertising, Breach of Contract, Refusing Terms of Service and Conditions and Harassment, along with Reportings to the BBB, ACCC, Business and Professional Services, etc. Our legal dept also requested us to post warnings on FACEBOOK, Instagram, Twitter and such to notify the Public. This is not normal business practice as we have had Home Warranty Policies for the past 28 years without any problems. Our experiences with this company are outrageous. We suggest to get referrals and not to rely solely on ratings of a business. Hope this helps.

    I am very disappointed with American Residential Warranty service. I have to wait a long time to speak to a representative and then they give you a choice for a callback if you do not wish to hold. I still have to wait an hour or more for a callback. I have been waiting over a week to have my central air unit fixed. They give me several repair places to call. When I called one repair service the technician said he couldn't get to me for 5 weeks. I called another place and their voicemail was full. When I did get a technician to my house he couldn't fix my unit.

    I called American residential and they said they couldn't do anything until they received the technician’s report. I tried to get through to American Residential later to see what the status was. I decided to see how long it would take for a representative pick up. I put my phone on speaker so I could hear if anyone would answer my call. I took a shower, blew my hair dry and curled it, put my make up on and still no one was available. It's ridiculous. It's been over a week and I can't get my air conditioner fixed.

    I was having issue with Kitchen sink this time as the water could be drained. I called and raised a claim with American Residential Warranty. And again, they simply couldn't get service delivered in time. I called American Residential Warranty after 4~5 days as the service firm assigned to this claim never contacted me despite that I had called them many times. During the call with American Residential Warranty, even American Residential Warranty claim department couldn't contact this service firm. Then I was transferred to their tier1 service (this was after 2hour on the call already) and was told to go ahead to get plumber myself. Ok. I had a few previous claims which ended up with me finding and hiring service firm myself. And I knew this was going to happen so I told American Residential Warranty when I raised the claim that I was concerned that this plumbing issue wouldn't get fixed in time and I couldn't use the kitchen. And I suggested them to let me hire my own plumber and reimbursed me later. The answer was NO. Great. Almost one week after I raised the claim, I still couldn't get this fixed and now I had to find plumber myself. And this is after I had to paid the non-refundable $55 service fee for the service that doesn't exist when I raised the claim. I finally found a plumber myself to get this fixed (and this was 10 days after I raised the claim). Now it is another struggle to get my money back. I need to submit not only the invoice but also proof that I indeed paid. Question is why American Residential Warranty should care. They already charged me $55 but could do anything to get thing fixed. Invoice has the plumber's name and amount he charged. Is this not enough?

    I am a customer with American Residential Warranty. I had a problem with my oven and refrigerator. I called and filed a claim on both items. American Residential Warranty sent out a repairman to evaluate the problems. He had to order some repair parts for both items. When the parts came in the repairman returned to my residence and repaired my oven and refrigerator. Both items are working like new. I am a very satisfied customer.

    I recently had plumbing problems with my tub not draining well and a broken pipe behind washer. I called America Residential Warranty. In the past they have been very quick in getting a service person here. They said they couldn’t find one for us to and they sent us a check to pay for service. The plumber was more than the check amount but America Residential Warranty sent a check for the difference. I have been with this company several years and have been very pleased.

    Called in problem w/ refrigerator. They sent a repairman out to the house a couple of days later. He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. A couple days later he came back, installed the part and got the refrigerator working. The repairman was very nice and professional.

    The work was done, but the work order took forever. Almost 2 weeks to get to the people that were suppose to come and fix it. But it got done. It was a garbage disposal that needed it fixing. It was broken and now it works like a charm.

    My experience with American Residential Experience was top of the line. Everything was on schedule like they promised. They stayed in contact with me until our business was consummated. They explained where my product was coming from, and the time of arrival. In my opinion, everyone was prompt in the completion of my claim. My claim was promised a solution in a matter of weeks (3) I believe. My replacement washer arrived on time, and I was given a choice, a day before arrival, to chose between two washers.
