Our heater went out. Was told we needed a new motherboard costing $1000.00. With our coverage from 2015 it only cost us $200.00. Will keep with American Res. even when we downsize to our final home. Great Job, company they recommended were helpful on our needs as my health isn't the greatest.. Had every thing fixed and running with in 2 days. Had to order part.

The plumbing was very good. He was on time and did everything the correct way and there wasn't no issues. Got the job done in a timely matter. He needed to get a new faucet and I had to wait to get the information from American Home Residental to see if I was insured for him to go get it and put it in.

Requested service for hot water tank leak. The same day within an hour of request contractor contacted me with a work order and a request for appointment. I asked when they had an opening. I stated ASAP. They had someone at my house within couple of hours. The problem required for replacement of the pressure relief valve. That was accomplished in a very short time, part was on the truck. Great job.

Please with service of sink being unclogged. Service tech was knowledgeable of his job. Only thing wasn’t pleasing had to go with sink being clogged during the holidays. Service company that provided service was there after holidays. Warranty company should have someone to provide service during holidays.

My unit broke in the middle of a very hot summer. American Warranty was able to have a technician here the very next day and they took no time to get it fixed. The service provider they used covered their shoes before they came into my house which I appreciated considering it was raining that day.

Hot water tank replaced. We had a good experience. The workers were friendly and helpful even though they had to go into overtime to complete the job. They completed the job and cleaned up afterwards. It was a good experience we will let others know about this company.

My dryer stop drying. I contacted ARW & they set up an appointment for a repairman to come out and look at it. The contact at ARW said they would have somebody out within 2 days. Repairman showed up 2 days later and fixed it on the spot. I would recommend this service.

Customer service was great. Repair time was great. It only took a few days after my claim for a technician was call out to repair my unit. After ordering the necessary part for my unit the job was complete and I was very satisfied. After my first experience with ARW I would recommend them one hundred percent. I called because my furnace broke and they sent someone the same day. The company was fast and friendly, got it fixed in no time at all. They didn’t have the right part on the truck but got it running and went to get the right part. Didn’t leave until they were sure it was working properly.

Refrigerator. Service company came to asset my leaking appliance. In repairable. Warranty company could not repair nor replace it. I was disappointed. The settlement of $410.00 would not put a dent in the cost of replacement. $2300.00 to replace and deliver, remove old unit and no replacement or repairs of Pergo Floors from water damage.

I had a issue with a provider but the customer service agent worked everything out and sent another provider to fix issue. Warranty coverage was handy when I had a issue in my house. The call center agents were professional and courtesy.

Customer service deserves a five star. No problems from beginning to being paid. Contract should be five star too. Very honest. Replaced heating elements and could have been dishonest and replaced with new water heater costing more money for AR.

I called for service on my dishwasher, the repairman called me within an hour to set up a time to repair it. After finding out it could not be repaired, a check was issued to replace it, more than enough. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

I have had this service for a while. Anytime I need assistance in home it takes no time for them to come out and assist me in no time. There are even follow up visits that they do. I've had this service for a while and I love it! Customer service is their main focus. As long as the service stays great, I will be a customer forever. I've even recommended them to my neighbors. We purchased coverage through American Residential Warranty after getting a better deal than with a competitor. We’ve had this for about a year before we put in our first claim. Our hot water heater went out and needed to be replaced. Having to set up the $55 service charge over the phone before a service call could be made is ridiculous but we did it anyway.
Waited a few days for them to “find a company”. Ok whatever. They found a company and they came out and told us that we needed a new water heater because it was leaking. I get a call from American Residential and they told us that they have $350 that they could apply towards the cost of a new water heater but we’d have to pay out of pocket $1400! Or they could send us a check for $225. Wait, what? Yeah. I would have even felt better if they offered to cover half of the cost with us but no, apparently they only have certain things that they cover in full, a garbage disposal and a garage door opener and we have neither one of those. This information was NOT disclosed to us prior to signing up for coverage. Needless to say we cancelled immediately and will go back to American Home Shield. Do your research, folks. This company is a complete scam.

The American Residential Warranty sent a representative out to my home to check out my refrigerator because it was not getting cold. The representative checked the refrigerator throughly to repair it, but the part that was needed for it was not made anymore. I considered this service being a five star service because I was told what was wrong with my refrigerator and how I could purchase another one.

Came home to smoke in our home. Fire department responded. Smoke was caused by the blower motor in the air handler which had burned out. Filed claim with American Residential Warranty. Technician arrived the next day. Had to order new motor. Fixed within 48 hours. Cost was split 50/50. Glad we had our home warranty plan.

ARW has great customer service support and easy to work with on any issues that may arise with the repairs. Always going extra step to help with setting up clams and finding the right contractor to perform work. Will recommend to others looking for home warranty. One suggestion is to expand the network of contractors within the Chicago metropolitan area. Sometimes it takes few days to locate a contractor for certain trait.

Why don't some of the least appliances cover under your policy like advertisement air conditions units other things that need to be well cover under their official policies? Would recommend to family or friends but not wanting to be the bearer of bad news when something there's break warranty doesn't cover it.

In June 2019 my AC went out and I called to get assistance to repair it. It was soon determined that the unit had to be replaced, however ARW would only pay for the parts required to "fix" my AC. The repairman that worked on my unit was on the phone with ARW for quite some time and explained that repairing the unit would not keep it functional for very long and that the unit needed to be replaced. I only received the amount that would have covered the repairs and not a full replacement of the unit as the TV ads state....

My dryer was put on Child Safety Lock. I thought we read up on my washer and dryer but we did didnt read up on them. The washer and dryer we just got because the washer changed. We thought this new technology on them on the washer and dryer's easy to learn how to work but it turned out it wasn't and without the help of you got this we would have never what the issue is. And that the issue was so easily able to easily get fixed.

I had to find my own repairman, but ARW were quick to reimburse me for the repair. If I had to find the repair facility I think the charge should have been reimbursed also seeing how I did the leg work.

Very nice and easy to work with....takes a little longer than I would like to get repairman out but does an excellent job. Always willing to return if not completely satisfied; repairman is very thorough. So far, we have only had to use them for plumbing issues but they did you a great job. Did more work than was actually needed just to be sure everything was in great working order.

Central Air conditioning unit. The. Technician arrived the afternoon I placed the request and determined problem. I was told it might be two days before they could get the parts. They called the next day and said they were on the way with parts. Techs were very friendly and good to explain the problem and to take care of it as quickly as possible. I was thankfully surprised by, but very pleased, when my tech arrived to fix my GE Profile side by side refrigerator/freezer. What I thought might be a major repair turned out to be a simple faulty refrigerator light malfunction. The light would not auto-turn-off and overheated the inside of my refrigerator. I have been a customer for years. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed (Never). Services were provided and contract agreements were upheld. Services were timely and professional. My refrigerator stopped cooling my food. The repair person repaired it and now it works very well. It needed parts to be installed in the refrigerator. The repair person ordered the part and had them delivered to my home. He arrived soon to replace the parts and did not take long to make the transition.

I had a problem with washing machine. American Residential sent out a serviceman, he checked out problem, ordered the part and he came back to repair washer when part was received. He was very knowledgeable about my washing machine. He showed me things that helped improve the way I wash.

Professional customer service. Respond time is always very good. Sometimes though whoever American Residential Warranty sub-contracts to do the job, sometimes sub-contractor takes a little longer. That was only the case in the repair of my microwave. Although the reasoning behind the timing was having to order a part, that took long. Would have liked for them to contact me instead of always contacting them.

BEWARE! This company lied to me from day 1. It was only discovered when I utilized the services and requested replacement of an item, as promised to me.
1. I was told if a repair could not be fix after the 3rd attempt, it would be replaced. Their Agreement has verbiage to that effect, but when I requested replacement (after the 4th attempt to the item), I was meet with excuses after excuses and long hold times on the phone.
2. I was however informed about the Arbitration process, where once you sign a contract with this company, you give up your rights to have your case heard by a judge or jury (again, this information comes after you sign the contract). End result, I am out over $1K with this company, broken Ice Maker, and damaged wooden floors. Additionally, the company tells me my refrigerator is over 10 years old, which IS NOT true. I purchased my home brand new 6 years ago (before my deployment to the Middle East) with all new appliances that I personally picked out. Military and Interested consumers beware!

I was with another home warranty company and was not happy with them so I switched to American Residential Warranty. I needed to make my first claim with this company and had negative results. I went to the website to get info on making a claim. I was able to fill out a form and submit it. That was my first mistake. After waiting all day for some kind of response I called the # to find out what is up with my claim. The response was no claim was filed. The online form is a joke.
After talking to the claim representative I found out it will take at least 2 business days. Today is Thursday so I will have this problem all weekend. One of the reasons I went with this company is from seeing the TV commercials. The commercials made me believe problems were taken care of in most cases within 24hrs or same day. Commercials lied. I feel this company is not what they say. False advertising for sure. I already know I will be looking for a different company when my year is up. Very dissatisfied so far.

I purchased the top plan from ARW in August after dropping my old warranty service. My first claim was 10/9/19 on my over the range microwave. They went out the repair company in which we had to pay 55.00 for. Then the repair cost more than allowed so on to needing a new microwave and in that being said I have now gotten the runaround since then and it’s now 10/29/19. Now I am being told the replacement amount would be 500 minus the 117.00 trade fee for the repair man that came out on the 9th. So we will only be getting 300 to replace a 450.00 microwave.
I will be contacting the BBB and my local news station and probably a lawyer to get my money back that I have paid in for the last 3 months. I was never sent a terms and conditions letter stating that they take out more money if things needed to be replaced. It’s pointless to have this warranty service. You might as well save your money that you would pay them for your contract and replace things when they go out yourself.

We had a water pipe break inside our house. A joint came loose. I call ARW and they got a great plumbing company to come out the very next morning. Their repairs and the quality of their work was outstanding and it was way under the original estimate. The ARW Agent that helped me was calm, professional, and very knowledgeable. My fridge stopped cooling so I called AHW. The serviceman came out but did not have the part on his truck so I did have to wait for the part to come in. Once it came in the serviceman came back and fixed the problem. If I did have my warranty it would had meant I would have to buy a new fridge but with no money you can’t. I did have a small fridge so I was good but so glad my fridge was fixed. Great job AHW.

Warning, do not use this company. I purchased the Premium Package in April 2019 for $659. I placed a service call with them in June for electrical. I paid the $55. A month later I called to follow up and I was informed at that time they did not see any notes from the electrician. The electrician was ordered to come back out to my house, he then told me he would contact the warranty company. Another month goes by so I called American Residential Warranty and they told me they declined the repairs. At that time I was informed I would receive a refund for the $55 in which I learned was a lie. I was then given the number to corporate. I specifically asked if I cancel my policy how much would I be refunded. I was told they had my information and another department would call me.
2 weeks goes by and no one called. When I did speak to someone, I was told they canceled my policy and refunded the remainder of the policy $63.00 of a $659 policy I have only had for 5 months. I informed them I never canceled the policy. I was informed I could then pay the $63 back and reinstate the policy for the remainder of the 1 year contract. A week later I called to pay the $63 and I was told I would only have the premium policy for 30 days and I would be invoiced $59 a month or I could pay the $659 in 30 days. A COMPLETE SCAM!!! Do not use them. I’m in the hole $714 for a pointless fake warranty. And they were unprofessional.

They want your premium and try their best not to pay claims...They’re no different than American Home Shield or any other crappy insurance company. Out of three service calls two were handled efficiently and one was handled inefficiently. The service provider for the inefficient service call took over two weeks to get our defective garbage disposal replaced. The provider didn’t even know who was to pick up the product. The service was finally completed satisfactorily.

My experience with American Residential so far has been positive, I called and I advised them of my problem, which was that my garbage disposal was not working, the representative who responded was very professional and she advised me that they don’t send anyone out to repair garbage disposals, they just replace them, so she advised me that she would order it, and I could pick it up from Lowe’s.

For the most part my experience with ARW has been 4 star. On one occasion I had to wait 2 months for a replacement washer, but when my heater needed repair they were right on time and sent someone out the same day.

Our washer was repaired in a timely manner. The service company provided was efficient and did stay in touch until the service was completed. American Residential is a good home warranty company. I had a plumbing issue. Johnson's from Lancaster showed up four or five times, didn't fix the problem, actually made it worse. Then you sent another plumbing company to my home. They were excellent and I have not had a problem with my two showes since that day...

The washing machine didn’t spin. The repairman fixed the washing machine however, it now makes a lot of noise when it spins. The repairman was very courteous and took the time to explain the problem. The repairman for the refrigerator was very knowledgeable about his work and he ensured I was aware of the problem and explained why he couldn’t completely repair the refrigerator. Air Conditioning failed during summer when it was 105 in Las Vegas. Earliest day for repair that ARW set up was 5 days later. They charged me $55 to set up appointment. Since the time frame was unacceptable, I made my own appointment with a local a/c company with a 4.5 star rating. They responded the next morning before 8 am! Replaced a capacitor and checked the system, which then worked perfectly, for $180. I applied to ARW for reimbursement of the $180. I provided lots of documentation to meet all the fine print requirements. Took them 3 months to reimburse me. Of course, I’m out the $55 Admin fee. If it wasn’t for J.R ** and his/her customer service skills, I may never have been reimbursed. J.R. was instrumental in the successful conclusion of my claim.

I called American Residential Warranty because my air conditioner was not cooling - Kings Air came out within a couple of days - Their repair improved air flow but still was not adequately cooling. They returned again when I voiced a concern about the air conditioner still not cooling - Kings air came right out again to check their work. The 3rd time they were called because the air conditioner was atoll not working, Kings Air negotiated with American Residential Warranty to replace the air handler which was not adequately working. They were beeh mice on the phone - both the air conditioning company and the warranty staff.

Since being a customer of AHW, I haven't seen too much of a change in the punctuality. We are told it takes 24hrs, to receive a call back on when a tech will be out. However, if we didn't call back we would still be waiting on a call back. I have had a warranty with American Residential going on 2 years and I can't say enough positive things about it. When I first moved into my home I went with a home warranty suggested by my realtor and it was a complete hassle to set up a claim and the contractors were slow to come out and not extremely competent. Also the final price after what the warranty covered was high so it didn't really offer me any peace of mind. I am a single mom of a toddler who works full time and doesn't have any extra time, money, or peace of mind to spare. I researched all the home warranties available and saw the high reviews so I thought I'd try it and see.
I have had amazing customer service with American Home Warranty. It's easy and fast to make a claim and they are very responsive. The contractors who they send out are professional, competent and fair. If there is an extra charge over the $50 fee for each service call it is totally fair and reasonable. The contractor who have been called out have come quickly and resolved the issue quickly. I am so very happy with this company. Thank you so much for giving this single busy mom some peace of mind. I would highly recommend them.

Had two issues—ice maker in refrigerator and ac compressor. Ice maker issue was resolved without a hitch. Had to hire my own ac guy, which was faster than ARW’s guys (this was ok with me). Compressor was under company warranty so all I had to pay was for labor. ARW reimbursed me $600 of $800 not understanding unit was less than 3 years old. J.R. with ARW Quality Control called and is taking on this issue. I’m giving AWR 4.5 STARS —telling me I could hire outside network and be reimbursed and fir their QC calling and following up on my full reimbursement.

21/2 months ago I was having terrible problems with submitting a claim for my wine refrigerator. It had taken 3 weeks of dealing with their staff and many, many hours wasted in the phone with no resolution in sight. At that point my case was elevated to the Corporate Office and a gentleman by the name of Chris was highly apologetic and professional and within two to three days resolved the problem. After that incident they requested I write a review and I responded with a glorious review without any mention of the grief prior to Chris getting involved.
Now 21/2 months later the refrigerator stopped working again and I immediately proceeded to contact them and it’s been a new nightmare. It’s been 3 weeks now without any resolution. The contractor they recommended Fusion Appliances has stood me up 3 times. They don’t keep their scheduled appointments and I’ve had to miss work with a monetary impact. When I requested to talk to Chris they tell me he is no longer there and the person under Chris by the name of JR does not respond calls. After much insistence they forwarded my call to Gavin (another supervisor????) who has been handling my case for about a week.
Today the same contractor stood me up again and that is the reason I’m writing this very poor review....still no resolution!!!! In my opinion a refrigerator that was repaired 21/2 months ago should not be broken again. I suppose that is the reason I’m getting the runaround. I am highly dissatisfied with the service. ARW provides false advertisement. They are only interested in selling you a contract...not providing a service.

We had a waterline break in our basement. It flooded my entire finished family room, laundry room, and home office, which are located in the basement. I called a plumbing company to come out and get it fixed in an emergency situation. I was told that I didn't follow the correct protocol so they would only reimburse for a portion of my costs. My experience wasn’t overwhelming as it was dealing with past Warranty companies. The tech got the timer fixed, the dryer started. The timer had several selections for the consumer to select, but the tech only fixed the "Time to Dry" selections. He did not fix the 'Auto Moisture' selection. So the machine will still dry your clothes...you just have to hope you are lucky enough to pick the correct 'Time to Dry".

I have been a member of ARW platinum Premier plan since April. It is now September and I have had to place 3 separate claims. The first one was my AC condensation pump. Paid $55 for them to come out and tell me it isn't covered. I had to replace it myself at a cost of only $100 but added the useless fee to find out it wasn't covered.
Next my hot water heater stopped working. The plumber came out after paying my $55 fee and the proper repair needed wasn't covered. The plumber was only approved to remove a reducer which I could have done myself for $0. Now my toilet is leaking into the basement and I called for a service. $55 again. Plumber came out and determined I need a new wax ring. That service was also denied because the called the wax ring COSMETIC! The wax ring is the transition from the toilet to the toilet drain. It can not be seen ever once the toilet is installed and they call it COSMETIC? Absolutely ridiculous. This company is a scam. Fighting with them for a refund now. JUST DON'T DO IT. DON'T BUY THE SALESPERSON'S LIES.

ARW is amazing on keeping everything in your home running without it being a burden on you. Now all my family has to do is call them when something stop working and they will be to your house the same way they did for us. Our air condition stop working in the middle of this summer. We called ARW and their guy told us he can make it on the same day. He came out and not only fixed our air condition but, explained to us what was wrong. And what we can do to save that same problem from happening again.

Our toilet was plugged. The appointment was made for that day and the tech came and fixed it fast. The problem was probably due to something be dropped in the toilet and didn't go down. We’re very pleased with the service we received from American Residential Warranty! The top oven of our double wall ovens wouldn’t work, making both ovens inoperable. The technicians said that the codes showed it was the locking mechanism. Replacements were made, however, it was still showing errors. Then the company called in Fred. An Old-school repairman, Fred was able to fix the issue in one quick visit! Everyone needs Fred. We’re so appreciative of the work, we’re already planning Christmas Cookie baking.

My unit was over 10 years old and ARW would only pay $525.00 of the $1800 bill. They said it was stated in the terms and condition policy, but I NEVER received this policy. Talked to corporate and they did nothing. His name was Gavin **. He told me that their system said I received it on the 21st, but I did not receive anything from them on that date. Was not in junk or spam either. In other words I lied because his computer system said I did. Do NOT purchase from this company because they are not upfront with you and don’t back what they sell you. I cancelled my policy immediately.

My mom ac unit went out and they say because of age and the max limit is on $300. So this is something that they do not tell you when you sign up. Huge rip off. Mind you my mom is 87 years old and we live in a desert where Temps reach over 105 on a regular basis. This was a horrible experience and a lesson learned about reading the paperwork before signing up. I would never use these guys again. I'm switching her over to AHS.

Our hot water heater had stopped working - our initial transaction with ARW did not go so well - first they could not find our account. Then, after a few weeks of trying to resolve the issue - J.R. from the corporate office got involved with the claims department. He found our account number that claims said did not exist (even though we paid our bill each month), then he helped get expedited service to get a plumber out to our location to troubleshoot the system. Even though it took a few weeks to get things moving - with J.R.'s help, we were able to get through the process and we have a working water heater now. Thanks for your help and sticking with us J.R. - it is good to have hot water back on.

My wife contacted ARW because the dishwasher would not run and our previous tenant told us it was not draining properly. When we came back to the house, the dishwasher would not run. ARW sent a plumber within 48 hours and he determined that the sump, heater element, and drain pump were all broken and needed to be replaced. We had originally asked that the dishwasher be replaced since so many parts had to be replaced - but ARW said it was more cost effective to replace the parts and see if it worked first. The plumber returned and was fantastic - he had all the parts replaced and the dishwasher is running like new. I wanted to thank the Corporate Office rep (J.R.) who helped us coordinate the Claim since ARW is rarely able to find our account, but corporate office is always able to locate our account.

I called about my refrigerator, needs new rubber seal. Two months later call what's going on, "We can't find a contractor in your area so we sent you a check to get new refrigerator." "Ok how much?" I have had plumbing problems on two occasions. The customer services people stayed on the job until my problems were resolved. Customer Services person called back to inquire about the resolution of my problem. I will continue to stay with American Residential Warranty. I have saved money with my relationship.

New customer... our air conditioner stopped working. Got our repairman to fix the problem. Submitted bill as directed. Waited, waited. Called and was told we needed a detailed account from our repairman. Submitted and waited, again. Called, again, and was told that a rep had put our paperwork on the wrong desk. So there it had sat. Too much calling and waiting on the customer’s end.

Sears made three trips to get the drum assembly replaced. They also checked all other functions on the washer to make sure everything was working properly. I only paid one flat fee for the entire service. I highly recommend ARW and all of staff.

I had and issue with my dryer and ARW sent someone out right away to fix the problem. ARW saved me from having to buy a new dryer. The company they sent out here he was very professional and found another problem with the dryer and came back another day to fix it.

I had a problem with my washer machine. The repair man came out and said it couldn’t be fixed. The repair man never reported it, but when I called them they jumped right on it. I’m waiting now to find out what the next step will be. Communication means a lot and I’m glad they’re keeping me informed.

I got the warranty. My washer wasn’t a new one but America warranty had my back. I call them and the next day someone was at my door 8 o’clock in the morning. So he couldn’t fix it so he call them and in about two weeks I had a check for another one.

ARW has really been a savings. They have covered repairs to: air conditioning, furnace, cooktop, and laptop. They've always been there for me. In general the cost may seem high, but have 1 repair bill, and there is your membership back. Yes I'm quite satisfied.

My ceiling fan stop working also. My over the stove microwave oven was not working properly. After filing a claim for both items I was quickly contacted by the repair folks (microwave, ceiling fan). Both repairman were very professional, and kept me apprised of what was going on.

I signed up for a warranty policy with American Residential Warranty a few months ago. The salesman explained that my appliances would be covered and I opted to cover my pool equipment. At no time during the conversation did he tell me I needed to list my appliances. He confirmed my appliances were covered. I called to file a claim for a wine refrigerator that was not working properly. I was told that it wasn't covered under the policy. But...I could add it. I asked wouldn't it then be a pre-existing problem? No...just wait 30 days.
I explained that the salesperson had told me my appliances were covered, period. The claims person transferred me to customer service, they transferred me to Sales. A sales manager, Jason, agreed that they do not ask for a list of appliances and my wine refrigerator should have been covered. Back to customer service for more apologies. I spoke with 10 different people. Bottom line, no...they will not cover the refrigerator. And now, it is an existing problem and would not cover it if I added it. Everyone apologized... but it didn't matter. They sold something that was false. VERY unprofessional.

My garage door opener recently failed. I simply called American Warranty Company. I I told them the problem. I paid the 55 dollar deductible. They put in in contact with their service personnel and within two weeks I had the opener replaced. The service personnel was extremely professional and courteous.

The services has been great. No complaints. I will recommend these services to all my friends and family. Everytime I call they get what I need fix. I just wish they will add cells phones to the services. But everytime I call for services the people come out the same day or the next. The co Payments are affordable too.

Toilet. The service provider came and took care of the problem. He was very professional and also very knowledgeable in what he was doing. If we ever have another plumbing problem I recommend Latta Plumbing. This company is very professional and on time.

These days customer service can be hit or miss. My experience with American Residential Warranty today was great! Thomas was amazing and very helpful!
