I had Brinks and then ADT bought them out, and it's been a good experience. I have the alarms on my doors and on motion, the one inside, and their service has been great. Anytime I accidentally set the system off and don't get it turned off back on time, they call me. I give them the password and we get it all straightened out. They're a great company that does everything right for me.

I purchased ADT Pulse about 6 months back. After about 2 months one of the sensors stopped working and I have not been able to secure the house since then. I called them and basic troubleshooting didn't help so they said an agent has to visit. I was given an appointment between 8AM-12PM and no sign of anyone showing up until 11.45. At 11.45 I get a call that the technician is running late and he can make it after 2 hrs. ADT will not send someone before 8 AM or after 6PM, even after messing up the appointment. Unfortunately customers also have jobs... Don't we? ADT continues to charge me 56$ per month for a service that I cannot use and that they will not fix. I am about to leave the country for a 3 week vacation leaving my home unsecured!!!

We’ve been with ADT close to three months. We got motion detectors, the glass breaker, cameras and all doors are protected with the entrance on them. The installer was very intelligent and helpful, and a nice person to be around. Our monitor talks to us all day long and they do their job. I feel very comfortable with them. I'm very happy and I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and I've recommended quite a few people.

I hired ADT seven years ago and there hasn’t been any problems or issues that ever occurred to me to even look for another company. My sister was here when they installed the yard signs, motion sensors and door sensors and everything was fine.

I have been a customer going on 3 years now. I have transferred services after the first year and was not informed that my contract on file would extend another two years. Well, when I did it I never received any noticed about the contract or given a copy of it. This past April ended my contract, however when I called in to make some changes and discontinue service, I was told that my contract now was up in January of 2020. When I asked why and how? I was not given the correct answers to why. Between multiple calls daily (because you cannot speak to one rep since no one have directs numbers) someone was able to provide me both copies of my contract, and to my surprise (not saying names) the rep used my signature from my old contract.
I tried to fight this since April and I have gotten nowhere, no one calls back, no one makes notes so I have to repeat the conversation all over again. This has been the worst experience in my entire life, I feel like no one cares. I also sent information to the fraud department, emailed corporate and no one seems to care. My next step will be to one of the offices where I will hold a boycott with signs so that customers and new customer know exactly how this companies handles customers and the privacy of contracts. Never will this company ever get a dollar or dime from me or any friends and family members that I know,

ADT's internal relocation policy does require a new agreement be signed.
To further explain, for liability reasons, ADT does not transfer equipment from one location to another. Our internal policy stipulates that you would be required to cancel your services at the original address and obtain a new system in your new home. You would also be required to sign a new agreement with ADT. However, as a pre-existing customer, you may be eligible for discounts towards your new system. Our relocation team would calculate this amount based on your tenure at the previous location.
Contingent upon all of these conditions being met, ADT would waive any termination balances you would have had at the previous location.
Most agreements are electronically signed using docusign. If your signature appears identical, it is likely because you used the same font as before. If we may be of additional assistance reviewing, please be encouraged to message us here.

I'm pleasantly surprised that the issue has been resolved quickly. Trechell was able to verify my cancellation call and processed the cancellation on their end. I was told that the credit card payments I disputed were already reversed so I'll follow up with the bank but everything looks good so far. I'm pretty impressed with this support team's quality and speed of service.

I had been an ADT customer for the last 8 years. I was happy with their service. Luckily I hadn't had any break-in etc so I've never used the system but having the system we felt safe. I recently sold my house. I called ADT 15 days before the closing to cancel the service. Even though I didn't like the 30 day cancellation notice requirement, everything went smooth with the customer representative and within 10 minutes I was done, so I thought.
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that ADT was still withdrawing money from my account. I sent an email to the billing department using the form on my account page. I've never received a response (to this day) from the billing. I called my credit company and disputed the charges for the last 2 months. My credit company says that ADT has time until 7/25 to respond but guess what I received from ADT via email today. A friendly reminder that I owe ~$104.93 that is 30 days past due. So basically, they charge my credit card for the account that was canceled and they send me an email and telling me my account is past due. I don't even live in that house anymore!

I'm a widow so I'm by myself and I love having the security when I'm gone or during nighttime. We started with Brinks back in 1997 and then ADT took over, and ADT's reps have been very smooth. If I accidentally forget and the alarm's set and I was trying to get in the house, they call within a minute to make sure everything's okay.

ADT is worth the money and we've had them for more than 15 years now. I'm very much satisfied with ADT and my interactions with their representatives have always been good. We’re moving right now and we’re gonna have them setup the security alarm on our next property. We're keeping the same package we have right now which includes some extra motion sensors and cameras.

We moved in this house in 2005 and it had another security company that ADT took over. I like ADT very much and I've had them for years. When I accidentally had the alarm go off, ADT contacted me right away. Also, there was one time they came out to fix the alarm because it went off too often. Overall, they're very dependable.

I was looking up ADT since I am considering getting a home security system, until I saw your advertisement at a movie theater. The video showed parents leaving their pets and more concerning CHILDREN home alone while they were able to watch and lock their homes from a remote location. To me, this encourages irresponsible people to adopt this practice.

ADT acquired the company that we had. We had an alarm perimeter set up. We have a smoke detector and we have the buttons for fire help. Their response generally takes within two to three minutes, which is good enough.

This is the third house that I have covered with ADT and everything pretty much runs as it should. In one of my areas, I have a silent alarm that I occasionally set off accidentally and the person who takes those calls is extremely courteous.

ADT had a very nice technician named Taylor. He was very efficient and our interaction went fine. During installation, Taylor answered all my questions. I contacted ADT after that and told them that my sister had some questions because she was in the hospital when the technician installed the system. So, Taylor came back and answered all the extra questions that she had without a problem. I am 82 and I feel more competent since working with ADT. Having a security system that is as efficient as ADT makes me feel that things are going to be all right. And when I arm the system at night, it makes me feel good and secure. I have recommended ADT to others. I've been telling my friend in Michigan who lives out in the country over and over again that she ought to get ADT.

We have ADT here for many years. We got their security and monitoring service plus the motion detectors, the sliding doors, and one window. So far, their service has been excellent and we're very happy with them. They have good people and we always get everything. And if we have any questions, they answer it. They are also very easy to get a hold of.

We've been with ADT since '97 and we got everything we needed like a camera, door, motion and fire stuff. I'm very satisfied with them. If I have any problems, I could always call ‘em or change out a battery. It’s pretty simple. The alarm went off before which might've been by opening the door wrong but at least we knew it works since they responded really fast. I'd recommend them. As a matter of fact, after I got mine, I got my mother one. The biggest advantage is that we had to get ours hardwired so they had to bore holes on the side of the door frames. Now, they’re wireless. Although she has to change her batteries more often, but she’s got that so they didn’t have to go in there and run all these wires. It’s convenient.

We have the smoke alarm and intrusion alarms included in our ADT package. And so far, ADT's service is good and they show up when I ask them to. Their sales reps knew what they were talking about, although I had to tell the installer exactly what I wanted to do since he was trying to put something in there that I didn't want. Also, I wish the cost was a little cheaper. But other than that, my experience with ADT was good and I'm satisfied with them.

The business model for this company is best described as "bait and switch", that is promise one thing but then deliver (and most importantly bill) for something completely different. My experience started with my initial sign up over the phone in which I responded to an advertisement for a monthly rate of $19.99 for one year and $36.99 afterwards and an install fee of $99.99. I asked repeatedly what was included with the $99.99 package but couldn't get a straight answer from the salesperson so I elevated my question to the manager. The manager described a package that was satisfactory, implying that the install rate would include a credit for what I was looking for (e.g. a certain number of windows), but of course it did not. Note that calling ADT generates a hard credit inquiry on your credit report and they won't give you any numbers or meaningful information before (or after) they check your credit.
When the installers arrived, they installed the most expensive cellular-based monitoring system, even though I had signed up for a direct landline package, knowing that the cellular wasn't included with the $19.99/$36.99 package. I specifically pointed out that the location they recommended did not have a landline, and they said that wasn't an issue. Then came the shocker. The actual bill for the equipment for my 1500 square foot house was over $2000 after some token credit which apparently was what the sales manager had promised me. I reduced the installation to a lower number of components that still cost over $1600 for the front and back doors and a subset of the windows.
And now the kicker, the installers had indeed put in the $51.99/month cellular station, not the $19.99 landline station, and then deceptively tried to get me to sign the contract for that higher amount. It was only in reading the fine print that I saw what they had done. I directed them to convert the cellular station into the landline version and to change the contract to the correct amount. They did so after considerable griping. Total install time for my house was over 8 hours by the time they got done. Finally the first bill comes in the mail (already charged to my credit card) and of course it's for the $51.99/month system I don't have.
Bottom line: Unless you live in an apartment with one door and one window, ADT is going to charge you thousands of dollars for the install, but not tell you that until the very last possible moment. The sales reps and the installers engage in deceptive "bait and switch" tactics designed to drive up your installation fees and your monthly rate. Definitely one of the worst experiences I've had in recent years with any service company.

A rep from ADT was going door-to-door. He came over and introduced himself, as well as their program. He was a very nice gentleman. He also explained exactly how the system worked as well as what would be covered and what wouldn’t. I had some questions about their system because of the way our house is laid out. We went over that and he explained it very thoroughly. I had gotten the whole package and the installation went quite well. The installer was a very polite and nice guy, too. He took about 1 day to install. But he had to come back one time because they were out of the glass breakage unit when he came over and he had to wait until the next day to get one. Then he went over the whole thing with us and then we went on the internet and did our thing. I've had the system for about three months and I'm 100% satisfied. ADT has been extremely professional.

Install was only bad part. Holes in wall. Only offered a new box to cover up holes when I made a big deal about how a tech should ask you what service you want before they drill holes in the wall. I wanted my service through my telephone line. He installed for cell towers/wireless. Had to remove and I had to repair holes.

I needed an alarm system and ADT was at the top of the list. I've been using them since about six years ago. They're a very good company and I like that they're very responsive and giving me all the information I need. The alarm has gone off before and the representatives have been very professional. So it makes me feel significantly more comfortable, knowing that I have a company like ADT and that their response time is great, especially in the situation where it might be somebody else other than myself messing it up.

I've been with ADT for at least eight years and the service has been okay. When they raised the rates, I called them and they finally lowered them back to what they were supposed to be. So they raise rates indiscriminately until you call them up and then they raise them back to where they were. There are a lot of different companies out there and people should search for the best price.

We purchased a Ring doorbell alongside our home alarm system. The sales representative and the first technician we worked with were amazing. About 3 months of having our system, we had to change our router, which meant we had to reset our Ring door. Easy fix right? Well I thought so at first, to my surprise one of the small secure screws was stripped when installed, so we couldn't take it off. We tried using electrical tape, purchased new screwdrivers, super glue, a rubber band, you name it, we tried it! Finally to my dismay, I decided to contact ADT to have them send a technician to help. Of course I wanted to avoid that for something so minor, I know they have more urgent things, but with months of trying on your own, there has to be a time to throw in the towel. I spoke to Angela, who had me repeat my attempts not one, not two, but FIVE times to her - each time she responded with, "are you sure there is no one that can help you?"
After 20 minutes of her fumbling around, and clearly talking to her manager for advice, she tells me that I have to troubleshoot the problem with them over the phone. When they ask me to remove the screws so that I could get to the reset button, I nearly lost it. She insisted that I continue to try even though there was nothing for me to do. When I told her I couldn't she kept saying that I had to follow these steps before sending a technician. I eventually hung up because we weren't getting anywhere, and now I'm in an even worst position than I was before knowing that ADT won't even send someone to just help us out. Once my contract is up, guaranteed I'm going to Vivint!

ADT provides good service. When my mom was living alone, I felt like she needed the ADT system for her protection. An ADT sales rep came out and I expressed to her that I was interested in getting their product for my mom. Our interaction was great and the presentation was very good. She readily came and did what she needed to do. She demonstrated and tested the system as well. We have the basic system that is connected to the landline. Due to my mom's age and health, she now lives with me and I had the system moved to my house. I continued with ADT as it was meeting my needs.

A friend of mine had ADT and I asked her questions about the service and who her contact was. I have security at my business but not here at the house. I decided to make the next step and install security here. Corey came over and showed me what they offer. He was not pushy, which was good. He just showed some things and gave his suggestions. The experience was really great. The installers came right on time, 8 o’clock, on the dot. They showed me what they were gonna be doing and if I'd ask them questions, they were happy to help me.
At first, it was really overwhelming with all of the information so I grabbed a notebook. I know the system came with manuals but if I write it down, I can retain it better. They were patient as I wrote down everything they were trying to say. I’ve had the system for over a month and it has become a lot easier to use. Also getting on the ADT website to add or delete codes to give certain people access has been really user-friendly. I had gotten outdoor and indoor cameras, as well as glass break sensors, motion sensors and the doorbell in my front door. Every time somebody walks by the front door, it sets the motion off and I get the alert. I was able to talk with the lady who was watering my plants through my doorbell while I was in another country. Also, it's nice to be able to move the cameras around as they’re not permanent. They also look high-def. The quality is really nice and I can zoom in.
I’ve been very pleased with the system. I set the alarm off the first time but I had gotten it right before they called. I also have motion sensors and glass break sensors at my store. And when I was out of the country, ADT called because something tripped so we had gotten that taken care of. The store was closed that day and it was nice having that peace of mind that somebody else is watching after the store. I really enjoy being able to look at my home. When my 18-year old daughter came home, I left the Pulse app open so she could see the live view of our living room from my phone. I'd highly recommend ADT.

Had Protection One monitoring for years. They apparently merged with ADT. I called the 800 number on my system to cancel service in Dec 2017. In mid May 2018 I decided to re-start service. Had no problem starting service over the phone. I asked if I could cancel again after a few months if I wanted; was told yes, no problem. I asked if there was any penalty, add on charges or surprises if I decided to cancel; was told No.
Received the first bill in early June 2018. I was billed for service since Dec 2017 through Aug 2018. Called to straighten out bill and was told since I had not been without service for at least one year I would have to pay for the six months I was without service plus three additional months through Aug 2018. I spoke with two different individuals without resolution. If I want to cancel they require an email and will bill me for thirty additional days beyond receipt of the cancellation.

Great Job, technician was exactly on time, very nice and friendly, he walked through the house with me and explained my house risk room by room, then he did his assessment for each room. I watched a video about the difference in the smoke detectors, we went over his assessment and he explained why he chose what he did on the assessment, we talked about my options, we did the paperwork and he got right to work. I have my 6 year old granddaughter every weekend, she feels very safe and this is the first time she went to her room and played by herself, I usually have to sit in her room with her while she plays. She told me to go in the living room, she wanted to play by herself and to close her door but leave it cracked, I did and she played in her room and she never called me and asked me to sit with her while she played.

I've been with ADT for ten years already and so far, their service has been very good. They've been very clear, concise and easy to understand any time I’d call and have a problem. Once, they had somebody come out and check the system or troubleshoot the actual keypad. And on the little keypad, I was surprised that I have to keep it programmed in order to give an emergency signal if I press on it for any given reason for an immediate sound. But other than that, they’re a good, solid company and people should try them.

I’ve been with ADT for years. My momma had ADT and when I bought my condo, it was already wired up for ADT. I got a camera. I can see it on my phone and enter my house. I would love to have one put in my backdoor without being charged the extra fee though. That aside, I also have the panic button. ADT has a good service. When the alarm goes off, they notify me right away and the police is here. There’s not a second that goes by. When that alarm goes off, ADT is on their job and that’s what I like about them. They have good customer service too. Even when the guy came out for the installation, he was very nice. He took his time and understood what I was talking about. When I was talking about my issue, he took the initiative to make sure that when he left, everything was working okay for me. He cared about the customer and made sure that I was satisfied. ADT should keep doing what they're doing.

I recently became an ADT customer and part of my contract called for a $100 gift card to be sent to me. A day after the installation, which was completed as expected efficiently and smoothly, I received an email from a third party Mpell certificates, telling me that when I send THEM $4.95 for shipping and handling, they will then send me my Visa gift card. I do not feel I should have to pay a shipping and handling charge to receive what ADT promised me upon sign up with their company.
When I called customer service at ADT, I was told to call Mpell and talk to them. Since I am an ADT customer and Mpell is their supplier, I do not feel I should have to call Mpell to try to resolve this issue. I was told by Lovie who is in customer service at ADT, that if I want the $100 gift certificate I will have to call Mpell. In addition, there is NO one else at ADT that I can talk to about this issue. I was told repeatedly, this is ADT's COMPANY POLICY and cannot be changed. At this point I am an extremely unhappy ADT customer.

Authorized dealers will have separate incentives than that of ADT corporate. We recommend contacting Defenders at 1-800-689-9554 to discuss your concerns with their process for redeeming the gift card. An ADT Authorized Dealer is an independently owned and operated company. They install and sell alarm equipment, but do not provide a monitoring service. They partner and contract with us to provide a monitoring service to their privately acquired customers and, in some instances, ADT purchases the contract from them after a pre-arranged set of time. We have been a loyal commercial customer for 20 years, In 2015 after 39 years of operation we decided to close and sell the business. We called for an equipment change so that we could have a security system without a landline. When the salesperson arrived we advised him that we would be selling and would need to terminate the service after the sale. He said that it would not be a problem and that all ADT would ask is that we give the buyers a recommendation for providing the security system to them. There was a document that stated that we would be responsible for 12 months but then after that time we would be able to terminate the agreement when the property had new owners.
With the confusion of having the property for sale for over 2 years and the flooding of where we had all of paperwork stored, I have not been able to find that document. I have contacted ADT two times and have been told that I will owe the remaining months of 5 years. I now have no way of proving what the salesman told us on that day. I have asked that they be fair but get a firm demand for payment. I never had a problem with the service provided by ADT until now but after this experience I would never recommend that anyone use ADT for their security needs. We did not have any problem from the dumpster, bottled water, or uniform companies. Everyone else ended the service with no further charges after it was closed. I expected the same from ADT.

I've had ADT for eight years now and about five months ago, my alarm went off. I got a phone call before the alarm stopped sounding and the rep stayed with me until I had checked out the house and turned the alarm back on. That was a very pleasant experience.

My son and daughter-in-law had ADT with their business and so did my other daughter. The installer did great and everything worked out perfectly as far as the box with the power that stayed on when the rest of the power went off. It's here in my office too, so it worked out very well. The installation took under two hours. I have all the monitors on the back patio door, the kitchen door, and the front door. And I have the motion sensor in my office and in the bedroom. I had it set up to where I could have just the office sensor on while I'm sleeping. I just stay out of that room and everything seems to work fine. Also, I appreciate all the signs I have everywhere. They put up, "Watch out. ADT."
However, I had the power of the whole neighborhood go out once but ADT resolved that quickly. They got the alarm shut off and it was very painful to the hearing for a while, but that wasn’t their fault. That was the whole alarm system going down. I went out to check and see what was going on and I saw the whole neighborhood is black and that’s when the alarm went off and I thought, "Oh yeah, because I opened the door." Other than that, everything's been fine.

I got the motion sensors, door sensors and the carbon monoxide alarm and when the installation team came, they knew what they were doing and they were good. The system was not much different from the old as far as the panel goes, but they explained things. There were two false alarms and they called in while the shrieking was still going on so, it was fine.

Billing was wrong as they charged for cellular installation while my installation was using land phone. Since the installation is done by vendor and not ADT there is always disconnect in communications

Our experience with ADT has been good overall. ADT has been in the house since it was built. And we're just now starting to have some trouble so we're getting ready to call ADT. Our meter has been in there for 18 years, and we're having trouble when we come in to turn it off. We have to keep it up the keys about four times to make it go off.

I was with another company and ADT bought them out. I have the alarm on the house and on this pendant that I wear too. I call every month and test this pendant thing so I know that they're on the job and guarding me. They're always real nice to me. One time the emergency battery went down and they said it was hidden here in my house. I didn't know where it was since the other company had put it in here, and ADT sent a man out here that found where it was right away.
Yesterday I was changing clothes and I dropped my pendant on the floor and stepped on the thing, but I didn't know it. I went to the bathroom and was setting my hair when someone knocked on my garage door between the kitchen and the garage. I asked who was there and they wouldn't answer. So I opened the front door, went around to the garage and there was an EMT and my two sons. ADT already call my two sons and reported the alert. I didn't hear a thing and I was so embarrassed that I pulled that stunt, but I'm ever so grateful.

Installed at a Rental Home for a physically handicapped tenant - The ADT techs install was fine. I did not read the lengthy contract. House was sold yesterday, I was told it takes a month to cancel, that would be July 8th, when my 3yr contract expires August 18th. I owe $78.86 for this privilege. The worst company, the worst policies and the lengthy contract.

PEOPLE DO NOT GET ADT SERVICE, IT'S JUST A SCAM. They do business practices according to bait and switch, it took me 6 months to cancel my service with ADT after a hassle and 9 years of customer. After 6 months of drama by phone and emails. They sent me collection notice. IT WAS MY WORST DAY WHEN I SIGN UP ADT SECURITY. Save your money and find other company. I have been with ADT for a couple of years and it’s been very positive having their service. They’ve been there anytime we’ve called out or had a problem. They answered the phone to give us a response. But the thing was--we had problems with our furnace and the fire department’s been out here three times within six weeks for carbon monoxide. In two of those times, it was up in the 100th level. ADT called the fire department and had paramedics here so that everything was prepared. The reason ended up being our water heater and we had to replace that. But ADT had taken care of everything each time and we just had to basically get out of the house. I've used the wireless keychain remote as well and it has been good because you can positively do it outside. We're happy with it.

Requested ADT to start monitoring previously installed equipment on a new house purchase. My daughter was there on site. She was told that they needed an initial payment where she used my credit card to do so. As it turns out, Protect Your Home who does the install for ADT, ending up charging over $1200.00 for the installation. When I challenged this expense, the customer service representative was very rude, and told me that the charge was for additional equipment. I asked what the additional equipment consisted of, and she responded window monitors. $1200.00 for a total of 10 windows?
I also challenged that I did not approve of these charges and how could they use my credit card, when I wasn't present? They responded that they don't look at identification when getting a credit card payment. I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding this practice, and after about 8 minutes on hold, another Rude person got on the line and basically said if I have an issue, talk it over with my daughter, not them! These folks will lose my business and I will go with someone else. It is obvious that this company is customer friendly before you make your purchase and completely hostile after the sale. I've been a ADT Business customer for over 25 years. I have been satisfied with them to this point. They have done several jobs for my friends and family. I recently got rid of my home phone service and now my Safewatch Plus system shows a constant trouble light and I can’t use my alarm system. I contacted ADT and they said they won’t work on my system now because It isn't currently being monitored. I think this is bad business. This is their product and this problem could be easily remedied. I will be forced to go with a new provider and there will be no chance that they will regain a future homeowner on their monitored service at this address. I would think with the increased competition in the alarm business they would be glad to keep every new and old system they have out there.

I live alone so I needed some security. I called ADT and I got the service package with the little camera and the sensor. The installers explained to me how to use the system to make sure I understood everything. Also, the reps have been very helpful. If I make a mistake and open the door, they would call and check to see if everything is okay. The system works perfectly and I've had no problems. ADT is a good company and they're doing a terrific job. A lot of my friends have ADT too.

The technician was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Whomever he called at the main office was exceptionally rude on the phone however. I did find the "sales offer" I received before contacting ADT was misleading and the equipment I did purchase over that "package" was high.

Nice system. The upgrades to the standard items offered added quite a bit to the cost. I expected a $99 system with 3 doors covered and some key fobs and $30 a month. They suggested a $7500 upgrade with a $70 a month. We opted for $1200 upgrade with $40 a month. When it was all added up it came to $52 a month. By then we were too far in to back out and accepted the system.

It was all easy and painless. I didn't know that it would take quite so long for installation so I would inform people when they go to set up installation. Both technicians (one being a trainee) were friendly, patient, knowledgeable. When they left, I only had one mishap and my husband and I figured it out within seconds. We have ADT's alarm system, a fire detection system, and a low-temperature thing, so when we travel, we'll feel quite comfortable that the house won't freeze up. The installation of the system was very smooth and when I had some problems a few years ago, they replaced the parts that were broken. I had good service with ADT but a little bit expensive.

I recognized ADT's name, I liked its reputation and the system was quick and easy to get from them. The house was wired for ADT so it was quick and easy for them to install the system. Then it turns on, I pay a bill and that's that. We've got an ADT sign and a keypad and it works well. I feel protected security-wise and smoke-wise. It's good having it in case the burglar wants to come by and he's like, "Oh, ADT. I think I will go there." Also, a couple of years ago I set off the smoke alarm and I called and told them it wasn't a smoke alarm. I just did it with the oven. They just said "Fine" and they were really nice.

I really like ADT. I've been with them for over 25 years and I'm pleased with them. Otherwise, I would have gotten rid of them before now. There was a time where I had gone up to church and I came back and someone had tried to push the window in to get in, and I have these alarm things in the windows and ADT had called the police evidently. And the person didn’t get a chance to get in. So when I got in from church, I called them back and they notified me. ADT's representatives so far have been nice. They tried to help me with whatever problems that I have. I'm 83 now and I maybe a little tiresome sometimes, but they’ve always been respectful and courteous to me. I had a young man came, Mike, and he checked my cameras outside. There was a big something in the tree and I couldn’t see outside, so he was kind enough to get his ladder off of his truck and get on and he reached up and then take it out for me.
My daughter also had ADT, and I was living alone and I happen to see a young man. Every time he would come through the yard, he would come up close to the patio where I didn’t have any alarm and I was telling her about that. She said, “Mommy, you should get an alarm system. Because you're there by yourself, it's dangerous.” So I called ADT and they came and they put my system up. I have also referred two other people to them and they also got ADT. One lady was telling me about how she was a little frightened down in Carbondale, Illinois. I told her I have the ADT system and that if someone comes to the windows and door, the alarm will go off and they’ll alert the police. And I said, “They will protect you like that.” And also another young lady down in Arizona who I was speaking with got ADT also. I tell them about feeling safe with ADT.

After an account cancellation, I had to pay 3 months of services from the date of cancellation. It is an unfair in business. I had too many phone calls to argue this unfairness. However, ADT ignored it.

ADT was quick and responsive to my call to have my system moved to the new house. Both technicians showed up on time and work diligently to get the job done in a timely manner. When installing the system at the new house Cody was very thorough to make sure all of the sensors still worked and walked through the house to let me know where the highest danger points were and worked with me to plan how to protect the home the best.

Technician was very thorough and detailed oriented. He explained everything very well and in detail and answered all our questions. The only downside was that it took too long and would have been better if explanation was given only on the products we were installing. Customer service is good so far. The whole installation took 30 minutes but the explanation took 4 hours! We are returning customers and feel ADT keeps us safe and secure.

ADT was already hooked up to the house when we got here. The security service package that we have includes the motion detector, the smoke detector, and the CO2. We're satisfied with the features that we have currently, so we don’t want any upgrades. So far, I'm very satisfied with the service of ADT. The only time that I had any dealings with the reps was when we had something smoking on the oven and they called to see if everything was okay.

When I scheduled my appointment for a repair of the system I was told I have the choice between 8-12 and 12-5. Ok, that's a big time frame, but most places are able to narrow the window a bit the day of service. My air conditioning services does, product delivery from stores do and cable companies all try to help the consumer instead of having them sit around all day. Particularly when schedules are made up of which houses will be serviced first and last for the day. Anyway, I was told ADT cannot give a more specific time of service - not even a 2 or 3 hour window- on the day of service.
People got mad in the past because they were told the techs would be at their house between a certain time and then the techs changed the order of service and the people got mad. So, instead of fixing it on ADT's end the simple solution was to make the customer wait around for a longer period of time and not helping the customer out. Why not have the techs call in when they change their schedule so the customer in that situation can be notified instead of making all customers wait around for 4-5 hours? Just not customer service oriented. So, I think I will look for another company that is more customer oriented instead of company convenience oriented.

Very disappointed with ADT. Been with them for well over 10 years, moved with them into the new house two years ago... Currently going through divorce and need to move. Not sure where I am moving to, as I need to wait for ex to move so I can move within 30 minutes driving time for custody matters. Called to cancel today, and I'm being charge for a 3rd year of service on the new house, even though I've been under contract with them for over 10 years. Nice way to treat your loyal customers ADT, and your customer support staff needs training- Levi was a jerk. Needless to say, you will never regain my service or loyalty again.

Do not go with ADT. They are the epitome of bait and switch con artists and are not the least bit transparent with their sales, service, or promises. After doing quite a bit of research into home security systems I was referred to ADT. After speaking with a sales representative and being completely upfront and honest on my end, the salesperson completely lied about the equipment that would be provided, the cost of the monitoring service, AND even the offer of the referral and gifts cards with their deal.
First off, they will charge you an upfront $99 to install, plus charge tax on that, even before you get a technician to conduct the review to set up the system. Then, the promise of equipment - they promise "pre-wired" door and window sensors, however this only actually applies if you have an existing security system and all sensors are wireless anyway, so really they offer 7 wireless sensors ($129 per additional sensor). They will bait you on by saying "a manager is on and will work with you to approve this" - don't believe it, as you'll never hear from that manager ever again, even when you have his/her manager id number.
Then there's the monitoring service - they offer $27.99/mo but that's only if you have a land phone line in your home. Including the warranty on the equipment that is supposed to be $36.99, but again they claim it's only if you have a landline. I know others who have the service without a landline paying $36.99 no problem, yet ADT claims they don't do that. Total garbage and lies. So now the monthly monitoring fee is up to $48.99 for wireless. However if you speak with their customer service, they will bring that down to $44.99/month and offer $300 in gift cards to make up the difference between the $48.99 and the $36.99 as promised. It's all such a set up.
The next lie is the $100 gifts cards. They offered: $100 to offset the installation (which installation cost $104.94 with tax so there's lie number 1), $300 to offset the $48.99 to $36.99 monthly monitoring service (as mentioned above), $100 referral for the person who referred us. Here's where the lies come in - they charge you $4.95 per card in "shipping and handling fees" as they say it's for the tracking to make sure it arrives properly. Furthermore, they reneged on the referral card as they said I had reached the maximum of $400 in gift cards. Lies, lies, and more lies.
DO NOT USE ADT to protect your home. There are better services out there who will be transparent from the start. I'm beyond disappointed in ADT - for a company that has been around as long as they have you would think they would want to keep a good name rather than tarnish it. Oh well. When my contract is up in 3 years, I'll be promptly cancelling and there will likely be better solutions on the market.

Signed a three year contract with ADT for protection of my home. Paid each month under the impression my home was protected. Alarm sounded, I was contacted as I wasn't home. I requested law enforcement to go to the premise. Long story short law enforcement was never contacted or dispatched as the contact ADT had listed did not cover my area. My home has been monitored for eight months without any law enforcement coverage or protection. In an actual emergency no law enforcement would have shown up.
I want out of the contract as I feel I have been paying for mere alarms on my doors which I could have supplied myself. What possible purpose does it serve to tell someone that is miles away their home that it is being broken into when nothing else would be done in the situation. I filed a complaint with the BBB and received a message back from ADT that is nothing but provable lies so as to hold me to my contract. I am going to continue to pursue this as I don't want my perfect credit ruined by this disreputable company and I know of many people that are under the impression ADT is protecting their home.

We've been with ADT for over 16 years and we've been very satisfied with their services. We have the sensors and the security pad. We also have yard signs and window stickers. We also expanded the system at one point and added two more window sensors, and they came right out for that. When we had some problems with some batteries, we called and they came right out as well. They've always been very responsive and the installers have always been great. They've been courteous and knowledgeable, and they've taken care of business.
A couple of times, there has been an accidental alarm and ADT has taken care of things. Their analysis of the alarm situation maximizes the possibility that an in-trouble homeowner is gonna be taken care of and minimizes the false alarms going to the police department. I think they are treading that line carefully and appropriately. All in all, I've been happy with ADT.

I had my windows cleaned and one window would not lock. Therefore, I couldn't set the alarm for the evening. ADT informed me how to override the system to set the alarm for the night. And the next day they sent a representative who was able to fix the problem.

I have been with ADT for over 12 years now and their reps have been very good. I had to have a technician come here to replace one of our units that was malfunctioning and he was on time and dependable. Also, I like the system’s features very much. The only drawback, however, is, in our particular area, I had to have a landline to connect to ADT as we don't have Verizon or other providers that would use other sources. Still, I would tell a friend to definitely try ADT.

I have had ADT for years now. Recently, they had to alert me. We were not at home, we were going on vacation, and the side door was ajar. They called us and then we got somebody to come and take care of it. They also called the police so they were here. Their reps have been fine, and I'm completely satisfied with how it is going. I know they are not here to guard the house, but they just do the best they can. I would recommend them.

My house was broken into. I saw ADT on TV and I was able to customize my service package when I applied. One time, their guy came out to change one of the units on the window because it was going off by itself. He checked it, put the new one in, tested it again and hit the road. I’ve been with ADT for about 20 years and I’m happy with what they're doing. If a friend would ask me what company I would invite them to, I'd say, "ADT".

ADT appeared to set off a false alarm towards the last day of my test week 05/25/2018 at 8:15pm E.S.T. (to not get the police involved, since they would not be called this particular week) to scare me into more business and probably motivate the neighborhood into wanting a system from ADT. At my home the salesman was trying to sell me sensors for the basement windows, I only bought one for the interior basement door. The alarm went off only on that interior basement door. No signs of tampering! Even the neighborhood kids figured that scam out. In billing I am charged a half month bill. No one can justify along with a expected $52.99 advance bill. For almost 40 years I have known ADT has been the #1 security business in all of the U.S.A., why you doing this?

We had an alarm system put in the house and it was by the electric company, Edison. But they decided to get out of business and they referred us to ADT. It's been around 40 years now. Service-wise, everything has been fine. At the time that we purchased the system, ADT just continued to run through the whole thing. We upgraded our security panel and all the window and door sensors.
But I had one salesman at one point who we were gonna upgrade with for the windows where if you open them, the alarms would go off. He came in and he started to tell me that the first thing we were gonna do was discontinue the contract and write everything brand new. I threw him out because that was all he was doing. He was just trying to make his own commission by having me stop everything and then write the whole new contract. That issue with the salesperson was years ago and I doubt if the guy is still with the company.
The reason we upgraded was because every Wednesday at 6:04 in the morning, my unit would beep and beep. I'd have to go over and hit a couple of buttons until it stops. They sent somebody out and the guy checked some stuff and he said that that should fix it. But the next Wednesday, it just did the same thing. This went out for over a year but it wasn't that big of a deal because my wife gets up at 5 o'clock in the morning and goes to work. And I'm out walking the dogs so we're up anyway. As it turned out, there was some interruption and I had no service at all which I didn't know. And so every once in a while that I would open the door and the alarms would go off. I shut it off but I wouldn't get a phone call from ADT asking me if everything was okay.
I got suspicious about it and that was when I had the guy came out, checked it and that was when he told me that it was off. Another guy came in to reinstall everything. That was how I found out that a wire had broken loose inside the wall and ADT never noticed it. I was just kinda disappointed about that. Our payment automatically comes right out of the bank so we weren't paying attention. The system wasn't working but we didn't get broken into so we never thought anything about it. We just had that one beep every week. And I'd call and they'd go,"Yeah, yeah, yeah", and blow me off. I didn't make a big fuss about it though as it wasn't worth the hassle to sit there and try to determine what day it started, what day it didn't, why it went off service, who was at fault, who was I talking to and remember what time. I just let it go.
Other than that, the installer was great. He was one guy and he actually set up a table so he had everything right there at his disposal. I was really impressed with that rather than going out to his truck 10-15 times. My control board is if you walk in the house, there's an entryway and you turn down the hallway and it's right here. He took the old panel off, set this up, and walked me through everything and made sure everything was done and cleaned up. I kept telling him it was okay, that I would throw that, but he said he needed to make sure everything was cleaned up and ready to go. When he left, it actually looked cleaner than when he walked in.

I'm 70 years old and when we bought this house, I thought that a security system would be an important part of our home security situation. The previous owner said it had a security system, but I don't know who it was with. My wife and I discussed, and I said that if we're gonna get a security system, we should go with an established company that has a long track record and has been providing home security for a long time.
In that context, I called ADT to get them to come out and give us a quote about our system. I had a good interaction with their initial person and we talked about what modules to put on the system. Half is already wired for the doors, windows, and glass breakage. We then added a couple of sensors and snuck the other end on a camera. The technician who came out to install the system was very nice and worked quickly and efficiently. He went into the master bedroom closet where our master panel for all kinds of wiring stuff and the alarm system are, did whatever he did with the few switches and hooked up some extra wires.
I've been toying with the idea of getting another consulting app and another outdoor camera in the back, too, since we do have that "ring the doorbell and run teenage kinda stuff". If you got that, then you got video of them. You can track them down to the neighborhood association, and find their parents and mention to them that their kids are doing that at 2:00 in morning, and it's annoying.
We've never had any problems with our system, except on a false alarm. And this happens when we set it and we walk out, but we don't carry our remote key fob with us. But any time that has happened, I'd have a message on my phone saying that an alarm has been detected. And I don't know why any burglar would wanna stand there if they were to break in and that thing goes off because it's deafening. Then following the phone message, I'd get a phone call from a service or on monitoring person at ADT. So, I never feel like ADT is not paying attention.
In addition, because our alarm system is connected to a landline, it also has a wireless back-up. In case something happens, there's a battery in there that keeps itself charged and activates itself. So, if there's an electrical problem and then somebody breaks in, it still sends a signal to ADT. All in all, I'm perfectly satisfied with ADT. My rates are very fair and anytime I have a question or something, I'd call up or go online. Their website is good and easy to navigate for old people like me too. I would encourage everybody to pick ADT and have someone from them come out and give a proposal.

I had my ADT key fob in my pocket and accidentally armed our alarm system. Then when I moved the motion detector out in our shop triggered the alarm. Within minutes the police were there and the proper contacts were called. I called ADT after the event to let them know what happened. The customer service rep was understanding and helpful. Thanks!

ADT's service package is fine, and it is what I want. Wanda says they were more efficient than other companies, too. Their installer had done a good job. The keypad works fine. However, they can make the price lower for the monthly premiums. I have discussed that with them and they cut some of the price down on it because I was retired and on a fixed income. I'd recommend it.

I’ve had ADT since they first started out here in Santa Cruz over 20 years ago. We’ve had a false alarm a couple of times and they’ve handled it fantastically. I called them and told them that the key had stuck but we didn’t get to it in time. And they were able to cancel the call before it reached the fire department. Whoever answers their 800 number has always been helpful.

To say that this has been a horrific experience is a severe understatement. I have NOTHING but trouble with them and I've only had them 5 months. That should tell you something. The installer busted a hole in the wall of the house I literally just moved into - plug it with jelly as if it wasn't a big deal. She didn't even apologize. The equipment was sold to me and here I am 5 months later having to replace sensors. The monitor always tells me something is open even when it isn't. I ordered a carbon meter as well only to learn that she actually installed a regular smoke detector... which was really bad since my furnace was leaking dangerous levels of CO2 into the living area of my elderly parents.
My father was having severe headaches - and what I thought was a carbon meter never went off... Fast forward, furnace replaced. That's when I discovered it was a smoke detector and not carbon - though I paid for carbon. I called to complain - on multiple occasions - because what I've already written doesn't even scratch the surface of the problems I have had. I tried to get out of my contract, but as I said earlier I'm only 5 months into it so they want to charge me 75% of the balance of the contract - which is more than $1000. Trust and believe when this contract period is over I will never contact them again. The absolute WORST experience of dealing with a business in my 42 years.

Defenders is an an ADT Authorized Dealer. As stated, dealers are independently owned and operated companies. They install and sell alarm equipment, but do not provide a monitoring service. They partner and contract with ADT to provide a monitoring service to their privately acquired customers and, in most instances, ADT purchases the contract from them after a pre-arranged set of time.
While we again apologize for your sales and installation experience with on their end, I do show that ADT did return to the site and installed a carbon monoxide detector for you at no cost. The smoke detector was also left in the home and relocated to a desirable area, with your approval.
I do not show that you have had multiple service appointments or continuous trouble with your security equipment. ADT was notified today of trouble you were having with the closet room door and serviced this location the same day, without delay. This trouble does appear to have been resolved.

We've had a really good experience with ADT and we're very proud to be a customer. We've been with them since 2005, after we've been burglarized, and ever since we got our little yard signs and window stickers, we haven't been bothered. During the installation of the system, the person who came was very congenial. He was knowledgeable and very good in what he was doing. He did the job like he's been doing it for a hundred years. I've only had one other person come out and that was to replace a defective sensor a few months ago and he was also a very good representative. He was very knowledgeable, knew exactly what the problem was and resolved it.
The whole system is overall excellent. It's a very minimalist system with a lot of sensors and that is all I need. I don't need to know who's coming and going and have videos of them and all. My daughter has all that on her system and, for me, it's a little overkill. ADT's response time has also been very good and timely. We've always gotten really good service from their customer service and they're always courteous and kind. I constantly recommend ADT.

I was going to pay over $2,000 for a security system and over $60 a month for service. The installation date was a week from the date I called. For the week, I got ten calls a day to confirm my installation date. I got a recording saying if I wanted to stop the calls to press a number. I did that. The calls continued. I get a call telling me if I didn't call back my installation date would be cancelled. I called back and confirmed my appointment and asked them to quit calling. They were to install it tomorrow. I got another call today to confirm it. The same woman, Becky who had been calling. I cancelled. They have my email address. I'm getting tons of email. I'm getting tons of letters. Buyer beware that you will be harassed.

ADT has been our security system since 2003. When something goes wrong, I like that I can get somebody to come right away and fix it. Sometimes, the technicians didn't come out for a couple of days, but when they did, their service was very good.

Never in my life I have dealt with this type of harassment. I finished my three year contract. Then I got a bill for four times my normal monthly bill stating that I was past due. I called to inquire and was told they were now billing quarterly and my bill was past due for the next four months. I canceled my service and the harassment began. I paid for the one month I owed. This was not good enough. I got about 10 phone calls per day even after informing them that I had canceled my service and I was on both the national and state do not call lists. I canceled again! They told me I owed another month! I keep getting phone calls and now I have received a bill for three additional months June-August! I canceled in April!!

My mom was trying to turn off the alarm and was having an issue with one of the keys so the alarm went off. ADT called me immediately to verify that anyone wasn’t trying to get into the house, so I explained the issue and they disregarded the alarm after I gave my password.

My experience with ADT has been very, very good. I’ve had it since 2011, and I’m happy with what I have. ADT sent somebody right out when I needed a battery replacement and when one of my little units needed to be replaced. The technician was very helpful and everything has been working. Any calls that I’ve needed to make, I’ve gotten a prompt response and everything has been handled to my satisfaction.

Have been ADT customer 6 plus yrs. Called to cancel service because of price. Was told that although my contract of 3 yrs was long over, that a clause in the fine print (there are 6 sections, all with fine print) states that no matter how long my 3 yr contract has been fulfilled, that I must give them 30 days notice to terminate, so therefore, I owe them another $57 dollars for another month. Really seems shady to me for a company the size of ADT not to be able to terminate on a couple days notice. Have they not heard of computers? So, I will be checking with the BBB to see if they can help. I know of no one that reads 6 pages of fine print. Buyer, beware.

For my system when I was moving I was told I could take the system to my new location or if my buyer wanted they could continue the service. Truth was they cancelled my service not allowing me to restart it and just wanted $300+ no service. For my Mother's system, she had this for years, then I noticed one day she had no service looking at her monitor. We checked they were taking their money but used some excuse to restart her 3 years. When I informed them she was going into a assisted living facility and did not need the service and cancelled it. There is really nothing worth stealing from her condo, and she needed all her income to go to the ALF. This month they went in and took the monthly fee twice. They had no excuse and I did dispute the charges with her bank. Now they're sending her bills for $300 and $200 for what? Her service is off.

After being convinced by a very pleasant salesperson to change our service from a local service to ADT, and being told it was the same type of payment structure; I tried to cancel my service because I'm moving, only to be told we are actually under a three year contract and will owe the balance. Since I'm not buying a new house or have a place I can transfer the service, four separate customer service people told me "tough luck" and I'll have to pay. "Customer Service" is hardly the correct term to use in this case.
They offered for me to pay the balance and they will credit it back within two years if I transfer to another home; but as I had explained to each person, that won't be possible as I'm not buying a new home. Again, they said, "too bad." And when I explained I would not ever even consider their service again if we couldn't come to some agreement or compromise, they said they didn't care and would send the bill to collections if I don't pay. Great. So I'll get the bill, pay it, send a copy of it along with a formal complaint to the State Attorney General, and will commit to being as loud a vocal critic of ADT as possible. All over $400. Yeah, that seems really worth it, doesn't ADT? Obviously you don't care about customers as you promote.

It is true that if you are under the initial term of your ADT agreement and cancel prematurely, your account would be subject to accelerated billing for a percentage of the remaining balance of contract. This information is referenced, in bold font, on the front page of all of our agreements. Still, we apologize for any trouble these terms have now caused you.
We certainly do understand that things happen in life, and that things do not always go according to plan. ADT's relocation policy was designed with this in mind. As you're aware, you may take advantage of this for up to 24 months after cancellation. For this reason, moving would not warrant release of contract.

ADT is great. I've been using them for years due to their great service. I own two homes and I've got two of their security packages. One is Pulse and the other isn't. The reps have been easy to work with. They contacted me immediately and it was normally because of a robotic vacuum cleaner going off. I forgot that it was on and I opened the garage door, and they contacted me to verify that it was not a bad guy. The IT guys have also come out here because there was something on the panel that needed to be updated and they took care of it.

We've had ADT for 17 years and we've been quite pleased with them. My husband initially called them mostly due to the cost and because they're a large company, and there weren't a lot of security service providers in town at that time. We have ADT's basic security package, one inside camera, and two motion detectors. We have a key fob that we can use to set and deactivate the alarm, and I really like that. It's really convenient, especially when my hands are full. So far, our security equipment has been good. But a few months ago, we contacted ADT to replace the backup battery and my husband dealt with the service technician. After the service, the system has been working and my husband was quite pleased.

Impossible Contract Terms - DO NOT USE ADT if you think there's any chance you might ever move. You will be trapped and either have to sign yet another 3 year contract plus re-buy equipment or pay over $1K to cancel. Their customer service is horrible and their service is not that great. I would recommend pretty much any company over them at this point. I've never left a negative review for any company ever, but felt so cheated and taken advantage of by this one that it seemed important to notify others.

Two weeks ago we purchased ADT Pulse home security cameras and have them installed. It's quite an investment but having a sixteen-year-old daughter I was excited to get this problem solved. I was promised the camera in the front would pick up any motion and recorded for 30 seconds. It did at first but then stopped. I called ADT and they sent a technician out.
The technician set here for an hour and tried to upsell me on a new camera system. After not giving in he finally said, "Okay I've been here an hour, I'll just replace the camera." I said "thank you. that's all I want". The camera he replaced the broken one with is actually WORSE!!! It will not record video at all unless you are 5 feet in front of it and waving a flag. I called ADT office and they said they would get a technician out Monday. Well this is Saturday morning and again, we have a stalker problem. I guess we will survive until Monday but on Monday I'm going to request they take all their equipment back with him and give me a full refund. I didn't sign on to be harassed by ADT as well.

The camera lenses get compromised with insects and a there is a charge to have them cleaned or replaced. Cameras don't record individually which is a problem. Overall pricing is fair. Calling for technical services is good. The system is easily operated for consumers and often upgraded.

We've been with ADT for more than a decade and most of what we've done with respect to service has been outstanding. The reps are very responsive, quick, always courteous and professional in their interactions with me or members of my family. They've been consistently dependable and excellent as far as their ability to provide that sense of security that one would hope to have with a service that protects one's premises and especially family members. I've had many offers to switch but rejected them all because it doesn't seem to be worth it. I'm satisfied with what we're doing. If you can afford ADT's service package, then you should use it.

ADT has been good to work with and they've been able to answer any questions that I had or disable an alarm that went off by mistake efficiently and quickly. I had a recent service call from them. A sensor was obviously broken. They came and replaced it as well as checked all the batteries in the rest of the sensors in the house. They were very thorough. I've been very happy with ADT and it gives me peace of mind.

I had a hard-wired system that was installed many years prior to becoming an ADT client. After a few system failures and software upgrades, it was obvious that there was a need to convert the contacts to wireless. Two visits were necessary one week apart. Jeff was courteous, helpful and informative. I had 20 windows t\for him to upgrade that day so the time spent was about 3 hours. He was funny and engaging as well. We worked well together, as I found that moment to be the best time to clean my windows for the spring. Of all the times that ADT has visited my home over the years, Jeff was the only tech who wore shoe covers when he entered my home. Major league kudos to all y'all. I've not one complaint. I WILL use and recommend your business.

I'm moving and called ADT to cancel my service. I was told I have 18 months left on my contract and I will have to pay 75% of the fees associated with the remaining contract. That comes to around $700. I'm not moving to a place I can transfer the system, so I simply have to pay this exorbitant amount or deal with the negative impact on my credit score. Completely unethical in my opinion. I will NEVER deal with this company again.

When it was time to replace the battery a free replacement was sent quickly and effortlessly. The instructions that came with the battery were easy to follow. We have never had any problems with the system, such as with false alarms.

I was not confident that I could set the alarm and disarm before the police would come. ADT personnel were caring and supportive with me and now I feel so secure! No more walking into my home fearful if someone was there. I had had someone steal some things before I started using my alarm. I sleep better without fearing someone is in my home! I don't recall how far back I started, but whenever it was, I am still VERY HAPPY with my ADT service. My wife and I go to sleep knowing our watchdog is there thru out the night. When we are away we don't have to worry, ADT is there and just a phone call away.

A battery on a sensor went bad and I called ADT’s customer service and they helped me change it. They gave me the part number for the battery and I went to replace it myself. We got fairly good service from ADT and I'd recommend them to friends.

We've been with ADT for at least 15 years and I recommend anybody who has not tried ADT to try it. We've got ADT's motion detectors, window sensors and door-entry detectors. We also have the window stickers and the little remote thing that hangs by the bed. We have the hook-up where if the alarm goes off, it goes to ADT via cell phone and not over the landline, which is great.
When we've needed any assistance, people have been helpful on the phone. At times, we've had a problem with the good 'ol Oklahoma wind blowing our satellite out of line. We called in when that happened and a guy came out within a day and got it realigned. It's been great. Another time, a guy came out to upgrade the notification thing by the cell phone, and he put in some new equipment and a new battery, which has kept me going. We also had a problem when our console wore out. But we've had it so long, things are gonna wear out. ADT sent us a brand new one and it's worked fine ever since. The technicians have all been real friendly and knowledgeable. They're smart guys and they go out of their way and be comfortable with you, talk to you and do the job. They don't try to rush through it and they really are good assets to the company.

Initially wanted to inquire about service, ended up with a package that same phone call. Super helpful in hearing my needs and wants, forming an affordable package, and setup was efficient. I have notified ADT 3 times that the information is not me, it is not my home address or account number but to date I am getting information to my email about another person to my email about their ADT services, each time I am told it is fixed but it isn’t. Just received it again. Same name, account #, same home address but not mine...

It seems to work well. I will call customer service soon to do a test on my system to make sure they are being alerted if my alarm goes off, but so far I have been happy with its performance. I also like being able to set it using my phone.

Your installer did an excellent job. He was early to our appointment and was focused on doing his job although there were many distractions around him. Our alarm has been tripped a few times accidentally over the years (we’ve had ADT for about 12 years) and they’ve always called right away to verify if emergency services was needed. Thankfully they have not yet been needed, but they call right away.

The last two times the alarm went off accidentally, I did not receive a call from the monitoring agent inquiring if the alarm in fact, was accidentally set-off, or if an intruder had entered the premises. I have not been comfortable since these episodes.

If received, the entire alarm notification process would be aborted and you would receive an automated message. Both processes are designed to prevent dispatch on false alarms.

I feel better leaving my home. I live a ways out of town so I don't have the advantage of a Neighborhood Watch. ADT gives me peace of mind. The last time the system was set up by ADT all the wires were outside my home and the system wasn't working. I was paying for a system only I could hear. No one ever called me when the alarm went off. Although the alarm hasn't gone off with the new system, I love that it is wireless. Also I know it is working because I can access it on my cell phone.

I have been a customer for about 20 years. I started in VA and moved to NC 2 years ago and continued my service. The only issue I have is testing my system. I have not mastered that task and plan to call to get assistance.

I love my ADT system! I recently moved to a new home in South Carolina and needed a new alarm system and my childhood friend Christine from Florida who is a new build team lead for ADT recommended her company's home alarm system. I spoke with Christine who amazed me on her knowledge of the system and what I would need for my own personalized protection. I couldn’t believe that even though we lived states apart (FL to SC) she was still able to set me up flawlessly without any complications. She was very respectful and mindful of my situation and how much I was prepared to spend and could afford each month. She made sure I was happy in every aspect and it felt like she held my hand through a rough time in my life and made me feel safe! I highly respect her work and how she made me feel. I have never experienced a better sales professional.
The sales tech who installed my system was also amazing, respectful and knowledgeable. He didn’t leave until I was 100% happy with the system and how it worked. The system is easy to use and I love that I can use the ADT app through my cell phone to make sure my doors are locked and alarm is set. When I forgot to turn the alarm off before I go out the back door, they call me to check on me, and if I don't have the phone with me, they call the next person, who checks on me. So far, all is well, I only forgot to turn the alarm off. If it should not be, they would send someone.

Alarm installed. Agent failed to advise us about registration with the city. When found out we were being charged $50 + $400 false alarm response. Got the info and register alarm with the city and paid a total of $450. Tried to reach out to ADT for reimbursement from September 2017. Sending all proper documents many times as of today still no response about finalizing my reimbursement. Customer Service/False Alarm Research Team is HORRIBLE!!!

Without a doubt ADT is the company I would recommend for security. They notified us before we knew we had a problem. They sent a technician, who was great. He tested all our equipment and replaced a defective unit. We was planning a trip and ADT finding a problem early kept us from having stress while we were gone.

I chose ADT based on the company reputation and family experience. Both my grandmother and my parents have an ADT security system. I have had my current system for several years and love it. I rest easier knowing that in an emergency, ADT is there. I travel without worry and love that ADT has an app that I can use to monitor as well as remotely activate my system. ADT's telephone response is very quick. This time however, the call from ADT wouldn't come through due to recent issues with my landline. I called ADT on my cell, explained the situation and it was resolved very quickly so that the police were not dispatched. ADT operators are always very reassuring and polite. Our door to the garage is sensitive to the code and if I try to get out from that door to the garage after keying my code, the siren goes on. Hence I was trying to get rid of this mode for this door and your official told my son that it will cost us close to $80. My son asked for the help on the internet and upon going through the manual on the internet he managed to bypass this code for this door till I get out to the garage and he succeeded. But since the code gets reinstated after 90 secs. I cannot use this door from the garage to get in. But I have decided to get in from our front door and by bypassing I can get out of the door that leads to garage. This is just fine as I am glad my son saved my 80 bucks. I hope i made my point clear to you. It is rather confusing if you do not understand my problem.

My only issue with ADT is that I continue to receive ads to start up service and I do not understand why I am on that mailing list... But that is ok... I just discard the emails and paper copies when received.

The tech that came was excellent and very professional. He listened to all our concerns and more than met our expectations. We would highly recommend ADT. The support service is excellent. It was easy to set up an appointment and we did not have to wait a long time for the tech to arrive. He also left the work area in clean condition. He also made some suggestions about transferring our service to our new home. He reminded us that we would qualify for $400.00 00 upon transfer of our service.
