The whole situation with ADT was awful. The guy that came out was a younger guy. What was told to me over the phone before I allowed for anybody to come out was totally different, so he ended up having to call his supervisor four times. By the fourth time, he was done with it. Before he called them, He was like, “Why don’t you just say you don’t want it so I can get out of here?” Long story short, the system wasn’t hooked up right. It was five different people that ended up coming out for it. The third person that came out hooked it all up together the way it should have been.
I called, and they said it wasn’t registering. Someone came out and said, “Oh, it was. I don’t know what they were talking about.” He didn’t do anything. Finally, because I was worried about my motion sensor, the last person came out. He was the only one who tested the sensor and explained to me everything, including the delay. All in all, my whole experience was horrible. I was going to cancel it all together and someone I talked to asked me to give them a chance, so I did.

The ADT sales rep got me what I wanted and told me everything about it. He also installed the system and he did good. It took him four hours but only because the internet was slow, so he couldn’t use his iPad. I am satisfied with the features and I like the camera.

My experience with ADT went very fine. The rep conducted himself everywhere. As he was putting up the thing, he went over what it was for, what it was used for. He showed me through the phone. He was a very nice guy. I like the features of ADT very well.

I had ADT before. When I used to have it, I was very satisfied and never had any issues. I just wanted to save a little bit of money so I went with Xfinity 'cause of the package deals that they offered. But it really didn't pay off for the quality of service that they provided. I got ADT installed recently and the installation experience was very pleasurable and very professional.

I'm very pleased and grateful for the security that our ADT system brings. I also like the secure feeling that you get with knowing that you have it in your home. When we applied for the system, the sales rep was very professional and knowledgeable. He took his time and made certain that any question we had was answered. He represented ADT very well. He also did the installation and gave my husband a run through of everything about the system. And when my husband was explaining everything to me, he thought enough to mention how professional, knowledgeable, and nice of a person the representative was. But when you're inside and you press the Home button, the system gives a signal as if you're trying to go out and it doesn't line up with the fact that you're staying in. Then once it says the message, it's usually fine. Other than that, the system is great.

It seems a little weird because I keep getting phone calls from ADT asking me why I don't have their service. But I do have ADT. They keep sending me letters and calling me, and they're wondering why I don't have service with them. They say, “Why aren't you picking us?” I'm just confused about how the company thinks I don't have service with them, but the system is good. I like it. I'm trying to get used to the whole having a security system. It's a pain to have to lock and unlock the house all the time with the system. Other than that, it's okay.

I was under contract with another company and I did not know it. I thought it was for 24 months. When I called them to cancel it, they said, "You’re still up on a warranty with us." I couldn't pay two bills so I had to cancel it. When the guy came back out and picked up the stuff yesterday, he didn't put my panel back on the wall. When they took it off on the wall and he laid it on the couch, he said, “They'll come back out and put it up.” I said, "Would they charge anything?" He said, "No." When he left, I called them. I said, "I wanna get my system put back on my wall." The lady said, "Ma'am, it'd be $35." I said, "$35 for what?" She said, "It's $35 for us to come out there and put it back on the wall." I am very dissatisfied. I will go with somebody else, but it wouldn't be ADT because I'm having to pay out more money to have this system put back on the wall.

Due to word of mouth and seeing their advertising, I signed up with ADT. Their sales rep was a very nice kid and their installer was very good. But I haven't really bought the system online yet because I have to talk with one of the persons to give me the code to disarm it. Other than that, I like the cameras off on the side of the building, though I wouldn’t mind a doorbell camera. I use the app as well and that's what I love about the system.

The people I spoke with over at ADT were very knowledgeable. They were able to answer all my questions, and if I had any concerns, they either were able to provide details to help me ease my concerns, or provide details that allowed me to make a decision based off of them. The installation took a while. The installer had trouble with the lock that I had put on the door. So, it took about three hours for all the installation of everything. He did it fairly quickly with everything else, but it was mainly the lock. So, it was kind of unexpected on the time that it took to put everything in. I'm kind of a little bit particular about how I like things, and I did notice that my lock was installed a little bit crooked. It works perfectly fine. I don't know if it was because he was having the issues of it. But other than that, everything was great on when they came out and installed it.

The installer was great and all got done in one day. ADT is one of the few I found that's willing to come out to where my house is and service a house the size of mine, but I don't feel comfortable arming the system yet, which is not helping. There's been a problem with a couple of sensors. The first night, one sensor went off, some sort of a maintenance alarm and then three times since then, another sensor went off. In six nights, I've had a sensor go off as needing maintenance four times, so I've yet even to arm it for a night because I don't want it going off in the middle of the night on me. At the moment, I'm not particularly excited about it. Other than that, ADT has been good. Wait time on hold is a little long, but everybody's been friendly. I just hung up with ADT to get someone out here for the second time and they're coming back tomorrow between 11:00 and 3:00. Also, the guy who came out the other day to look at the one sensor was great as well.

The sales rep of ADT over the phone was good. However, the rep that came to our home was too pushy for me. I just agreed with him and told him, "Okay, good. We're done, let's go." We were there for three hours. All I wanted was the $27, I didn't want a camera. But had a camera. It's really a pain because every time I go outside, sit on my deck, it goes off 25 times. Now it's costing me $59 a month. He also drilled a hole in my wall six feet in the air. I said, "What are you doing there?" He said, "I gotta run a wire from here, wrap it up outside and up that wall." Now, I got a hole to fix. He also didn't clean up after himself. All the drillings, the wire pieces and boxes were all left there.

The install guy was really good and he was very helpful. ADT is a little expensive but other than that, the system works as expected and as promised. Also, I feel like my property is safer when I'm not there and my kids are safer when we are there.

The sales team may overpromise a little bit then you’re kind of taken off-guard when the on-site salesperson installer gets there. That was my only frustration but they made it right. The installation took quite a while though. The installer showed up at 8:00 and didn’t leave till 3:00. I only had one control panel installed initially. In their initial process, I told them I had two panels. They said that wouldn't be a problem. They installed one of the control panels when they got there by one of our entry doors. When I asked when he was gonna install the other one, he said, “We only do the one because you can control it from your phone.” But we couldn't hear it throughout the rest of the house. It was an issue. We had to get ADT back out this morning to install a second panel which was another couple hundred bucks. But the installers were great. The ones today were fantastic.

The guy that came to the house was friendly. There were a lot of features that I would have liked to have gotten but I can't afford them right now. Other than that ADT is a great service. I got two twin cousins who live by themselves and I was going to recommend ADT to them. I'm gone all the time but now, I feel a lot more confident with the ADT sign in the yard. I'm sure that deters people from even thinking about it.

I'm very pleased with ADT. I was looking for a home security system as a peace of mind. Since I just bought my home, I ended up getting a pretty good deal in the mail. Everything went well. The technician was very knowledgeable on the job. He did a great installation. He did the total walkthrough.

I wanted to get one of the doorbell greeter cameras. The other company I was looking at was expensive. ADT called me and their offer sounded like a good deal. The communication from the rep that I talked to on the phone and the manager on duty could be improved. They didn't quite explain everything really good. I had a guy come out and give me an estimate on everything. When he got here, he said that was not how it works but he explained everything. He was nice and knowledgeable. He installed the system in about 15 minutes and made sure I understood everything before he left. It was awesome.

I wasn't happy with the way the representatives talk to the client and that one of the third-party companies that they used to finish my install is misusing my personal information. The reason why I say that is my name, my email address, and my telephone number are on this email that they sent me and it encompasses a bill for a home that's located in Florida. I live in California. I wasn't comfortable with that. They don't have answers as to why they generated a bill that says I need to pay $106 for an install that is going to take place on January 29, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. And it doesn't make sense as to why they're tying me to a Florida property.
Also, the representatives talk to you like you have a tell. I don't even like calling in and talking to them because you have to talk to at least three or four representatives whose attitudes stink like the toilet. It's like they're talking on their friend that they don't like very much. It's really annoying. I have to ask to speak to supervisors and be transferred three or four times before anybody takes anything serious. The managers do a good job but the people they have under them are so bad. If you're discouraged after you deal with all that nonsense, you won't even take the time and talk to the managers because you just don't even respect the company at that point.
I've considered trying to get out of the contract because I don't want to deal with a company that I can't trust. Also, I don't feel comfortable with the representatives. I can't get answers when I call in, my information appears to be in the wrong hands, and nobody has the answers as to why. Maybe the company is good but the customer service reps could care less how they represent the organization. ADT needs to do an overhaul at the call center because it's reflecting badly on the overall company.

ADT is a well-known company. It's one of the oldest and the best so I went with them. I love the doorbell and the motion detector. I like the features and the service overall. It's expensive but otherwise, ADT is good.

We went through Consumer Affairs to get connected with ADT and the whole experience was great. At the end of the day, I ended up getting a lot of equipment covered and on some military stuff on top of that. I found it all to be incredibly timely in terms of when they could get out there and get us scheduled. They had a great technician come as well.
The fella named Lorenzo was incredibly professional, got everything set up, and gave us a great rundown of what he recommended. From there, we could choose what was best for us then everything was installed. Lorenzo was fantastic. He even came back out the weekend after to help us get some new Z-Wave locks installed and synced with the system, too. From that, I was able to go out on my own and buy one more lock to get one more door done, and then also sync the garage door. Everything worked out perfectly.

ADT had the most stars on the computer. Their rep who also did the installation was wonderful. I like the cameras. I have a neighbor that threw a brick through my window. So, we needed to have something. ADT works really well for us.

We used to have ADT many years ago. I like the whole system and that's what drew me back. James was very good when he came to install it. We had some nice conversations and he was just wonderful about doing whatever I wanted. Overall, I had an excellent service from ADT. I was very happy that I did that.

The ADT rep was just a good salesperson and their installer gave good customer service. He came in and he wore a mask. He explained everything to me. He cleaned up behind himself so there was no mess. It was just a good experience. When he left, everything was working fine. But my doorbell camera doesn't work. There's no video. I did the little instructions online and I just charged it last night. I'm gonna try it again but if I can't get it to work, I'm just gonna call them. Other than. that, it's comfortable to have the ADT system. I've just bought the home so I'm there by myself and I feel better to know that everything is protected with ADT.

I really didn't like the sales pitch when the guy came over to my house. What they told me over the phone and what he told me when he got here were contradicting each other, which I wasn't happy about. You sign up for one thing and then they come in and say, "Well, we're gonna do this and we're gonna get you a package plan and everything else." But when they set you down, it's over five grand. It was a damn stark difference than the 199 that they were advertising, and telling me over the phone that the stuff that I have was compatible with what they were putting in. The plan I got was what I've spoken to on the phone and they've already told me how much it was going to cost. So it was like a bait and switch. Other than that, the guy was super nice and very knowledgeable.
I had an issue with one of my cameras. I got online and they told me how to fix it. It looks like it's okay. I'm having trouble with one of the features this morning. It's telling me to troubleshoot it myself. So I've got it back working but now I'm getting notifications on my phone. But I would recommend ADT to a friend only because they're one of the better alarm systems. I have them for my store right now. So I wanted to put them on my house. I also had them in my last store, and in my last house, the house before that and the house before that. I could go to someone else but I've always dealt with ADT. I haven't always gotten along with them, but most of the time, I do.

I am very satisfied with what we've gotten from ADT. Jacob who came out here and installed everything was fantastic. He walked me through everything. He said, "If you want to go full Fort Knox, you can. This is what I recommend." But he made it very clear that I didn't have to get all of that stuff which is good 'cause I don't have that kind of money. He broke it down, answered all my questions and allowed me to get the things that will keep me safe and at the same time not break the bank. I feel safe knowing that there's a giant alarm system that's gonna go off and wake me up so no one can break in. I also feel safer with the photoelectric smoke detectors. It's able to detect the smoke faster than the normal ones you get from the store. It's like 30 seconds versus 30 minutes. I didn't know there were two types of smoke detectors and apparently, this house didn't have any to start with. I feel better knowing that my kids are safe.

They have good customer service. The installation was fast and the tech explained everything, step-by-step. Everything went well. I like that when I'm not in the living room and if one of the doors are open, I know the door is open because the system talks.

The guy that I dealt with was pretty good. But I wanted this panic button that I was guaranteed for and he took that off because he put me an extra fire alarm system in. He didn't tell me about it till the end of it all. But now, I can’t get that. When I talked to James, the sales supervisor, he told me that once I make that payment, I wouldn't have to pay again. He kept telling me that the guy would come out and go over this stuff and tell me what's what and show me how it works. And that would be it. The money that I paid to this guy was for his service. So he got more money from me. Also, I was told that I'll get a $100 gift card but I haven't gotten that yet. But James was very nice and professional. He explained things to me thoroughly.

The lies that ADT's reps told me on the phone to get them out here to hook up the system led me to sign up with them. They promised me a bunch of stuff but when they got here, I didn't get all the stuff that they promised me. And there was a bunch of hidden fees. If I didn't absolutely need a security system right then, I would have went with somebody else. But I needed it right then, so I went ahead and have them hooked up the system despite the fact that it cost me $300 more than they said. Other than that, the installer was cool. Also, I like that I get to shoot somebody if they come in and it’s all covered under law because the alarm went off and they didn’t leave.

The guy that came in and set up all our stuff did a really great job. He was very nice, personable, and went over all the options with us. When something didn't work for us, he was very flexible in fitting it to where things would work. The system is pretty cool and I like the app. I just wish it was a little cheaper of a price range for the monthly.

I liked the longevity of ADT. After the rep got here, it was a bit more expensive than expected. Other than that, it was all right. The rep was informative and explained everything. The system is simple to work. It makes it accessible for the different options. It includes by phone or from the thing itself. It's convenient that ADT can handle that.

I hate ADT. They’re a bunch of liars. They told me that I was going to get one type of service. I wanted motion detectors on all 11 windows. I had another company and I said I wanted the same camera on the front door. When the man got here, he said it was not on his sheet. I called the manager and the manager, Brandon, said no, that was not said. I said I would not have had that man come out here and paid this installation fee if these arrangements were not made verbally on the phone. But they cannot share the recording when they claim all their calls are recorded. I'm not happy. I call it senior citizen fraud but it could be false advertisement or a marketing way to get into peoples’ houses and get their money. You gotta pay them in advance before they could come.
I called the person who installed yesterday on his so called cell number. He answered and said he was with a customer. He said he'd call me back in half hour. I needed for him to come back and show me how to operate the system ‘cause he did not show me how to. The service to this point has been bad. I’m about to get up today and call the councilor. I'm not paying any more money to a company that does not treat me well as a customer.

ADT was excellent and their tech was outstanding. He showed up, put booties on and had his mask on. He went through and explained everything that they had to offer and gave me the different options that I had. Once we decided on what options I wanted, he walked me around. He installed everything and checked the system. I’d definitely recommend ADT.

Updated on 01/09/2021: ADT has acknowledged that I was told 4 times about the 90 money back satisfaction guarantee and that I signed the install tech's cell phone where they claim the guarantee was reduced to 3 days from 90. While I was not advised of this change since I just signed for the install on a cell phone, they acknowledge that also. However while I am dissatisfied with the service and equipment less than 10 days after install, poor service and non working equipment, they have had Julius contact me 3 times since my review and he will not agree to the 90 day term while he acknowledge it was told to me. I have advised ADT to come get their equipment, they will not unless I agree to pay 75% of the contract which I will not. DONT TRUST ADT!
Original Review: When being sold my ADT plan, I was informed of the 90 day money back guarantee, it was set up at the basic rate but if I wanted the upgraded equipment, tell the tech and he will provide and move me to the next level of payment. The appointment time was sent to me via email at 12:00am so we didn't know when the tech would arrive. The tech showed up, no ID, no mask and no ladder, he climbed some shelves and my couch to put on sensors. We had to ask him to put on a mask since Covid restrictions. I did ask for the upgrade equipment which I received the monthly charge for but was told I don't get the upgraded equipment, that would be extra $ another lie from ADT.
After the install he asked me to sign his cell phone confirming the install which I did and he verbally confirmed the 90 day money back guarantee. Four people confirmed to me the 90 day money back guarantee; the salesperson, the install tech, the 1st person I called for assistance and the next tech who confirmed it was a poor install, understood my frustration and would advise his manager I wanted to cancel.
The system didn't work, sensors were falling off windows, the alarm would go off when not armed and opening the front door set off a tamper alarm. ADT advised to troubleshoot on our own then frustrated I exercised my right to cancel based on them not delivering a working system. They sent a tech out who confirmed it was a bad install and the software was not working properly, I told him I wanted to cancel and he said he would let his manager know, it was a bad install and within my money back guarantee.
The next day, I heard nothing back so I called the cancellation number that was provided to me. I was passed back and forth between 7 different people, some not wanting to deal with it and some that were pure nasty that I started to lose my temper. These people informed me that when I signed on the cell phone for the install that was a new term contract that only allowed 3 days from signing to cancel. I explained that the system didn't work and I lost trust in the system and what was communicated to me 4 times about the 90 day money back guarantee.
They accepted that I was told that, confirmed that the system was not functional as they could see the error messages in their system but would not release me from the contract unless I paid 75% of the total contract. They were argumentative, didn't care, acknowledged the system failure, acknowledged what I was told but were only interested in my money.
I went up to the corporate office where I met the most nasty of people. Michelle Employee # **, Khyler Employee # **, Julius Employee # ** to name a few with some customer friendly professional people like Gabrielle #** who sent a note to the local office mentioning the poor install and the request to cancel. I never heard from the local office. I received a few calls from them re-iterating the same conversation over and over. They all acknowledge what I was told about the 90 day money back guarantee, acknowledge my attempts to cancel but advised me that they didn't have to deliver a working system so that the 90 day money back guarantee could be executed. They actually said this.
What they wanted to do was to continue to send tech out as much as possible but would not release me from the contract because I was 10 days into the contract and the new terms from the cell phone signature of 3 days. In addition, they tried to play a recording of a survey which was difficult to hear with 2 women discussing the install the day of the install. I believe this to be a doctored call, the only phone number they confirmed on file was my cell phone number and they did not have my wife's. I highly recommend using another company or do it on your own. I have read reviews about ADT and the deceptive practices since my bad experience. I am only 3 weeks into the service, have yet to put the alarm on, mistrust ADT 100% and warn all consumers not to do business with ADT.

I had a house fire and ADT is forcing me to pay them 610.00 dollars for a disaster that is out of anyone's control. They are making me pay for contract being broken. Nice of them to add to a disaster by trying to make a hardship into a financial hardships on top of a disaster, all I can say is get your security from another company. ADT is a bunch of thieves.

Purchased an ADT Home Security system with outdoor cameras to monitor a family member with dementia who is roaming. Two issues with the ADT system are:
1) The security system uses a quick arm feature that does not require a code to enable. This will allow a confused family member or children to arm the system, where the system will go off and the monitoring folks will call. Poor feature where the passcode should be required to arm as well as disarm the system.
2) The outdoor security cameras which the salesman ensured me would capture people day or night is only useful in the daytime. This leaves night use of the cameras as totally useless. In addition, the installer placed one camera just above the furnace exhaust where this as well as blowing snow keeps the camera in constant alert for phone app notifications. In other words, a continuous stream of false alarms from the furnace exhaust and/or blowing snow keeps my phone app in constant alert. Now if I take the time to move the cameras in a location that may work, I now have holes in the siding of the house where the cameras were mounted by ADT.
Do yourself a favor and buy a dedicated camera system from Costco and mount them yourself so you're not locked into a 36 month monitoring plan with a worthless system.

We moved into our new home after selling our old home. We cancelled our service for our old home. We were billed for services on our old home after we sold it. Then we were billed on an accelerated program for our new home. Over charged over a $100 in all. Customer services was not any help when I called. Basically saying nothing she could do. I would not recommend ADT to anyone. Plenty of other home security companies out there. ADT will overcharge you and their service is below average.

I have been a loyal customer of ADT for 19 years. Since we moved to our new home 4 years ago, we’ve had to replace 8 Z-way switches, all which require an electrician. It stops working, we call ADT, they send a tech out in 1-2 weeks, they show up and tell us they can’t help us. Then we have to reschedule in 1-2 more weeks so they can come back with an electrician. The last few times we requested the electrician the first time we called, and have been unsuccessful doing so. We have to hire/pay for a babysitter. We have to hire/pay for a worker to take our place at work. And we have to waste our time and the technicians time, because your protocol says you can’t schedule an electrician the first time around.
We have made numerous calls, been on lengthy holds, been hung up on. No one can seem to figure this out. Most of the time they replace the Z-way switches for free, sometimes they charge $200 (we were told we shouldn’t be charged). I was on hold for an hour last time, spoke with a rep, asked to speak with a supervisor, they transferred me to someone who was not a supervisor, was told an electrician would come out, then was hung up on with no return call. And lo and behold, today there was no electrician. This is very poor account management/service in my eyes. It should not take a month, two visits, and however long on the phone to take care of one stinking switch. I have not been able to figure out where to file a complaint so I will put on every avenue I am personally aware of.

ADT has the most advanced technology. Their sales rep was good - too good. The installers were efficient and they completed the job within the expected timeframe we discussed. Everything went well. I can control everything through applications for my mobile and I like that the most.

I started looking. And then, I started getting all these ads. Also, I called around. I talked to a bunch of people. But then, I went with the $99, which the day ADT, I told them to pack their stuff and leave because they went from 99 to 3,000. Then suddenly, they changed it all. But I had a good experience. My installer was a good guy. I use the system and it works. I like it all because it gives me a peace of mind. I don't trust my neighbors.

My neighbors have the same company. I was very impressed. The reps were very professional. I thought they would take more time, but they called me right away. And as soon as I spoke with the team, then they sent me the technician guy the next day. It was great. So far, so good. I had a different company before, but I feel more secure with ADT. My ADT installer was great and polite. He was very thorough with everything that was going on and everything I wanted. And because he does sales, he was trying to make money too. I understand him trying to offer stuff and he did it in an accordingly way. I took everything he offered. He was looking out and knew how to talk.
But ADT isn't the only one I have on my security because they don't have cameras. I would have liked those. ADT doesn't have floodlights too and I kinda was bummed. But I like the stuff ADT put on the windows and the doors. They also have one with the got carbon monoxide feature. I'm happy and I feel like my two kids are safe. I also just got this Nest thing and it links to the system. I haven't gotten to that part yet but I think I'm gonna like that. One thing, however, is I’m supposed to $200 gift cards back for what I was doing and I don't know how to get them. I got one for 100. Other than that, it's been good so far with ADT.

The people from the homeowners insurance gave ADT my phone number, and they called me. The rep was polite. However, I didn't get what I was told I was going to get. The guy that came was very nice. I told him what the man said I would get for 27.99 - two door monitors, a remote key for my keychain, and a motion sensor. I didn’t get the remote key and a motion sensor. And I got three doors - the basement, the front, and the back. But if somebody came in my window, there is no motion sensor. They could take everything I have right back out the window, and nobody would know. Other than that, his work was very good. I'm disappointed because I didn't get the motion sensor, but I'm very happy with everything else. I would recommend ADT.

We moved into our new home and we got a promotional letter in the mail from ADT running a new service deal. So we gave them a call and had a service provider come out. Their sales rep was great. She detailed the plan, detailed the options, then gave me a good breakdown of what we'd be looking at cost-wise. Then she actually was fortunate enough to find a representative that could come out to the house the same day. So it was a pretty quick turnaround. The guy came out about two hours after I got off the phone and we did a detailed walk of the house. He showed me the entry points and what he would look for most in terms of security. He then broke down all the costs of the different options. We ended up signing the contract that day and he installed everything on site. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and the installation.

The one that installed my system did not push anything. I was a little shocked at how much it was gonna be, but he said, “take your pick,” and that's what I did. He was very thorough. He took his time and showed me everything, every window, and how to do the system. I'm alone, my husband passed away, so I wanted a system. My friend in Avon Park had a system and I asked her who did hers. At that time, it was a different company and ADT bought them out.

The rep came in and we talked over the different packages that were available. He helped us, what he recommended as far as we really needed sensors, and then walked us through the entire process and answered all of my mom's questions. He then installed the system right away. Any stuff that he took out or tools, he put everything away. It was very quick and well done. We got the lock pad for the door, and I like that because then we don't have to use our keys. And that you can just arm and disarm it through the phone makes it convenient. We're more likely now to use that one than before. ADT's name speaks for itself. They really are the best. And the service that we received showed us that. Everyone was satisfied with the representative that we got and the experience that we had.

ADT is expensive. The email from ADT that I got said that I would get $850 in free equipment. But when they got there and once the guy went over the package, I was told that it was gonna be $416 for the equipment and I wasn't prepared for that. All of that was supposed to be free, but the guy said that in the small writing, it said that it might go over. Also, one of my friends said that theirs were 30 a month while mine is 50. So, I'm gonna try to get out of it ‘cause that’s a lot. I've used the system three times. But I was disappointed in the money that I had to put out and the amount of the monthly bill.

I had ADT before. We got it again last week. Their sales reps were fine. But the technician was not so good. I wasn't home when came out to install. My wife was home. I told him what I wanted and he said that he was going to do that. Then I ended up with the equipment I didn't ask for, and I didn't have the equipment that I asked for. He did a really crappy job of installing. He drilled holes through the side of my home, both front and back and didn’t even bother to silicone them. He drilled right through my aluminum siding on my brand new house, which I just bought in June. He's already destroyed part of my siding. Then he didn't put the camera in the backyard up to a point where I can actually see my backyard. I see the deck, which doesn't even have the stairs going to it.
He drilled through my wall to get outside and he left all the dust on the floor. He didn't go through the faceplate of the outlet when he plugged it in. He left the cord. He draped the cord up through and put it into the box in there, so you can even tighten down the receptacle cover all the way. Then he plugged in one of my only two outlets on a wall, instead of putting it in the ceiling with the garage door like it should have been initially. So, I had to move one of the locations of the boxes as well. Now, I've got holes in my wall upstairs and downstairs because he put motion detectors in that I didn't ask for and didn't put the sensors on the windows that I had asked for.
Since then, they've come back out to the house. He took down the detectors that were inside the house, and he put the window ones on. I didn't get all the open ones because there wasn't enough credit anymore of how he was doing it, and they had to charge me something. He still didn't fix all the issues that we had with him coming out in the first place. He still didn't fix the faceplate for the receptacle cover. I submitted pictures then too with the shoddy work that he did. They gave me an email address and I sent it in.
The guy conned my wife into changing the sensors. I already had ADT, so I knew. He put motion detectors inside the house, and no window sensors at all. So when I'm home sleeping, and I want my alarm to go off when somebody breaks into the window, it's not going to happen. The inside motion detectors are turned off when you're home. So, I have no protection unless they try and go through the door. Unless he was trying to break into my house. I don't know what was going on. The tech did everything that would not help me in that case. Then when they did come out to fix it, "Well, I can't do anything. I've got to charge you this. I can't give you any discounts or anything like that."

The installation was good with the amount of time and patience the guy took to working on it. There was some back and forth so we could make sure we had it in our budget. He was willing to work with us on that. We liked the door lock and just the general security of ADT so we could have our home more secure. I just wish they improve the cost. We have a really big house with a lot of big windows, so it was a lot.

I got ADT primarily because of what I saw online about the service. You are able to reach people when you've got a concern. I evaluated in terms of what I thought would meet our needs and I think ADT will. So far, my experience with them has been great. The guy who came here was very professional, did a good job, and spoke well. I worked with him. He was here a long time trying to get us to agree on what we really needed. I have glass break sensors, motion sensors, and door sensors. I'm satisfied with that. The only thing is my son also has ADT down in Portland and I need to follow up to find out when he gets a gift card for the referral. The guy who was here didn't ever ask us for more specific information about my son.

Everywhere I moved, I’d always get ADT. I signed up again recently and they said something about sending us a $100 gift card. Apart from that, I'm very satisfied. All of it was good. The system I have here is made like the one that I had. The installers showed us how everything works. They were always patient, and they made sure the job was completed.

I've had ADT my whole life and I was so used to it. My mother had them and then, I had them in my condo, so I decided to stay with them. The sales rep was very nice and informative. He gave us different options that we could do. I'm very satisfied with the features in my package and the system has been good so far. I've had ADT in the past and then I saw the promotion on the flyer. The sales representatives were very helpful. When I told them about the experiences I’ve had with ADT, they tried to make it better. The guy that came out was really professional and treated us really well. They took care of everything. ADT is always monitoring and they always have my back. It's not just a camera setup with nobody monitoring it. If I leave the house and if I go on vacation, I'm still covered. Also, I can control it from anywhere. They said I own the equipment so if I move, I can keep it. Brett was awesome. I liked that he wasn't trying to push anything on me. He came and asked what he could do to make me feel at peace. Some of the other places would just let you do everything by yourself. He was so cool and nice. I trusted him. He educated me so that was a plus. We did what I wanted and I liked that too.
He told me that I could get cameras on Amazon. I could also get fire and smoke detectors, as well as CO2 detectors. But if you aren't at home, then they are a waste of money. People should know the fact that ADT is watching it for you. That's literally their job. If you go with them, you can just set it up, pay for it, and forget it, because all you have to do is arm and lock your doors and then you're safe. That helped me because I have a kid, I'm a single mom, and I'm busy. I don't always have time to pull up the app and look at my cameras and just stare at them all day. But it's recording for me when motion is detected. It's a big plus to have somebody help me.
He also told me about some people would put a camera and plug it outside, but somebody could just come and unplug it or people could destroy your system if you don't do it properly. He made sure to have the power come into the house so that nobody could really disrupt my surveillance. Also, the quality of the video is miles and miles better than if it were to be just a camera I bought on Amazon or a Ring camera. It's way better picture and way bigger angle. It's so nice to have it on my phone and have ADT be watching it too.

I was hopeful that this company was more of an upscale business, and I looked forward to getting my home protected by them. It has turned out to be an expensive waste of time. I was pressure sold and they kept trying to tell me the more expensive package was worth the money. I have Google and other cameras and security devices already in place, and my home is hard wired throughout. Their system is wireless as many are today, but I was not going to place additional hardware (which you must purchase) into my home and on every door and window. The decided to add a converter to accept my wired into a device which transfers into wireless for their master control keypads.
At the time, they said I had $850 worth of hardware credit, but after the required a keypad, an auxiliary keypad, fire detector and motion detector, I found myself owing them money. Their equipment is very expensive. I asked about upgrading to a touch panel later on, and they informed me that was an easy plug and play to accomplish. After having my initial system installed, I decided to purchase a touchpad form a cheaper source, and was then informed since I did not buy it from them at a cost of $500.00, that they would have to charge me the same $500.00 to install the one I purchased outside of ADT. Furthermore, I could not cancel my services as after 3 days of the install you are under contract, and they will not cancel without a three year payment.
Now I am stuck with a system I do not want, and one which costs all of outdoors to upgrade and it still only monitors just for fires, and break-ins. Not enough for money in my eyes. My advice is to choose a more simple system and monitor yourself, as cell phones are the way of the future, and you can do the same monitoring yourself without the hearty 3rd party expenses.

When I called, ADT had a promotion and I thought it was a good idea to grab it. However, it's like you don't have to pay it right now but you have to sign a contract for so much time. Also, I have seen other people have cameras in their house and they can see everything. They don't turn it off. But the one in the back and the one in the front record for a little bit then they stop. I don't know if they record just when there’s movement. Another thing is when my brother went to my house, he pressed the bell but I never heard any call or any alarm that somebody was at my front door. It might be just my signal or my phone. Maybe I don’t have a more stable connection but the other day, the app kicked me out. I don’t know when you have to refresh it.
Another thing they told me was, “You're gonna go ahead and pay $100 right now and whenever they go install it, they're gonna go ahead and give you $100 gift card.” Well, that is the same $100 that I paid in the beginning just so they can make that appointment. They're kind of a tricky company in the way they do stuff. I thought it was stupid. Just charge the $100 then send something different to your guest so you can make the guest be happy. I used to be a manager and I wanted to make sure my guests were happy and they were coming back. If I'm not happy, I can go ahead and finish the contract, but after the contract, am I gonna recommend to somebody else? Am I gonna go back to them? No, I won’t. But if the customer is happy, he’s going to bring more customer to them.

We were called by the Safe House Concierge Service and we were transferred to ADT that way. But we've also gotten about 14 different mailings. Somebody stopped by the house. We've heard about ADT a lot. We got our system installed on November the 30th. The only complaint that we would have is that when the technician got here, some of the things that the sales rep promised didn't really translate into what we could actually do. I felt like it was kind of overpromised. We weren't supposed to have to pay for anything upfront because there was gonna be a gift card, and it was supposed to be completely free installation.
My husband ended up having to pay 100 and something extra dollars at the installation time. The technician went over all of the different options that we could upgrade to, which was fine. But then when it got time to choose whether or not we wanted to have the app, I don't think either of us were aware that the basic 27.99 plan did not include the app. So, that was a little disappointing.

The service technician was good. He set everything up. He was knowledgeable. And we feel protected. It's mostly the sales process and the cost that we are not satisfied with. We thought our first call to set up our appointment was great until, reflecting back on it and after signing up and feeling like we were misled on what everything costs, we are now frustrated with it. ADT led us to believe that the visit where we were designing our system and getting it installed was free. We ended up getting a separate charge for that. I later followed up and they said it was because they gave us so many other promotions that we did not qualify for free service. But that felt like it wasn't truthful on their end.
The second piece was when they were selling us on how big their promotions that they were giving us, that the dollar amount towards setting it up, and even after telling them the kind of structure of our house and how many entry points we have, they were like, “You should be covered. There probably won't be much out of pocket to pay for.” And then after the technician designed our system, he gave us a price of $3,000. That was also a big surprise.
The only reason we proceeded was one, we have already spent so much time with him. We then started paring back the system. It wasn't necessarily our ideal system, but something else that would still meet our core needs. And we figured a system would cost something no matter where we were going. Given it was a two year contract, we got the price down a bit and we were willing to move forward. But also then, the surprise about having to also pay for the installation came after that when I called them to question the additional charge on my credit card. And they said, “Yes, that wasn't removed because you no longer qualified for the free installation.” It’s frustrating. I tried to tell them this directly when I called them about the extra charge, and was cycled through some customer service and then connected to an account manager that never really connected. But I told them all this, and they said that there was nothing they could do.

My family members have been saying that ADT is very reliable and so far, they have been reliable to me. When the installer came, he was wonderful. I had so much questions for him and he was very patient and very collected. He answered all my questions. He didn't left until he made sure I understood every single button and what it was for and how to do it. But I had a little discrepancy when my mother passed away. The service got disconnected, but I'm connected back now. I didn't want to go to another company because I feel secure with ADT.
My system is very upgraded. I like that it comes with a camera. It's very effective. I recommended ADT to my sister and she's very satisfied with it too. It's excellent in everything. When I call, I receive the help in the moment that I need and they're very concerned about what I need, and not what they want to offer. They want to give me what I need and what is fit for me. It's very, very good because not everybody take the moment to listen to the customer.

The tech explained a lot of things to me so I would know and he left me good information. It was very interesting. The only thing is that the personnel I spoke to on the phone said they would call when they were on their way, but that did not happen. They said between 8:00 and 9:00 they would be here. They came at 8:20. They rang the bell, and I didn't know they were coming. If I didn't know that I had an appointment, I wouldn't answer the door. But everything else was fine. I like the package. It's a lot different and more up-to-date than the old package that I had. Also, the plan that I have will work very well for me. I'm very pleased.

The system was very easy to set up. The tech came to set everything up and everything went very smoothly. He went to the control pad and he went through everything. He showed us how to access the volume and how to change the password. The only thing that we've noticed is we keep getting a notification about the doorbell. It's saying that the power is going from wired to battery, wired to battery, a couple times a day. Other than that, everything is great so far.

I looked ADT up because I was interested in getting a security system. I called in and felt they had what I needed. The price was better. They had the $500 towards your homeowners’ insurance. And I like the idea that they would secure all the windows that you needed secured. The tech was very good, professional, and explained things well. I like the system's features. It's easy. Years ago, when I bought my home, somebody came by to introduce ADT, and she was talking about a really good deal, but she never did get back in contact with us. I reached out to see if that deal was legit, and it was. So, we stuck with ADT and so far, the experience has been pretty good. The only thing is any movement that we get outside, it’s recording it. It is not bad because we want it to record movement.
The people from ADT are very professional and personable, which made it easier. It wasn’t all business. They shared a couple experiences with my husband. They both are from military and they had some experiences. That kind of broke the monotony of straight business talk. But they were very professional. They explained everything to us. They made sure before they left that we didn't have any questions. I already recommended my sister and she's talking to somebody with ADT right now.

The lady on the phone that I had a small conversation with was sweet and professional. Everything that's included in my ADT system is nice. But I was supposed to get a few other things like some more alarms. I have over 3,500 square feet two-story house. So I wanted more security but it was way too expensive. We just did something in my price range for now. They were saying that I could upgrade later. The system is simple but the only thing I haven't figured out is turning on the security system while I'm inside of the home. Since having it, I'm more calm at home. I have lawn trees and it’s hitting the window, so I'm not thinking somebody’s trying to break in because I have cameras now.

I had a good overall experience with them, both in dealing with customer service and then when Robert came out. He was a pleasure to deal with. The system is very similar to the system that it replaced. It just has a few more bells and whistles that we're exploring. But it makes it easy to arm and disarm the system. And the new lock on the front door is also some added security.

My ADT experience has been a little bit up and down. My husband and I were talking this morning. I don't know if we should have went with them with some of the stuff that's been going on. The first guy that came out was really good. He's pretty thorough. Then we had some problems with the camera that was set up, and they had to come back out. We were charged $25, but we were told we weren't gonna be charged $25. Then they credited the account for that. We bought a router that we supposedly needed. The second guy came out and said, "You don't need this router here. You can just put it in the drawer, do whatever you want with it. It's yours." So, I'm sitting here going, "Why did we pay for something we didn't need? Again, please tell me why." We have some frustration with all that.
We had our ADT system installed on the 28th of November. We were a little bit frustrated because we already had an alarm system in the house. We ended up getting the manager on the phone. The manager made it sound like the guy that was coming out to install everything was gonna bring us the Visa gift card. Then we found out at installation that we have to call this number. We called this number, and then they said, "Oh, you gotta wait this length of time and then you'll get an email. And then when you get the email, then you gotta print this off and then send this in."
We did finally get the email a few days ago. Come to find out, I put all the information in like I was supposed to and it wouldn't pull up the rebate form. So, my husband had to call them back. The lady sent another email, and it didn't have anything attached. So, he had to call them back again today. Then finally, we got the rebate thing. We were told that we didn't have to send in a check for the 495 that they had changed that, but it's on the rebate form to send it in. So, I was like, “Do I send it in or do I not send it in?” It's just all over the board. When the first guy came out, I was more than willing to recommend to a friend. At this point in time, I don't think that I would.

ADT's price was a bit cheaper. The guy showed up on time, which was great. He was very professional. Everything worked out perfect. My wife likes when you open the door, it says “front door open”. The reps called me once because my wife screwed it up. But within two minutes, they called me, which is great. They were very impressive. I was very pleased with every facet of it, from start to finish. I just referred to my neighbor.

My sister-in-law got a home around April and her home came with a security already. She brought it. She lives in the suburban and she avoided two persons trying to break in. We got the new house on November 6th, and we got the flyer. Because we already knew ADT, we were like, “Let's go with that one.” Also, it was more because I can leave dad. The rep and the manager were good. I liked their offers. And then, the tech was nice. He explained to my dad all the process. My dad is 81 so he has a little trouble understanding technology. The tech explained to him really well. Also, my dad’s main language is Spanish. The tech was bilingual so he was able to explain everything to my dad, in English and in Spanish. We're really happy.

I’m not satisfied with ADT. I ordered cameras and I asked them to put in the alarm in my house. I cancelled and they didn't give my money back. I waited for it. It's been 10 days of waiting.

I accidentally stumbled up on email on my phone and I saw that there was a lot of activation going on in this house. I already told the guy that the main place for the activity is in that attic. It did show that there was an activity in that area and the sensor picked up stuff. But no one let me know about it. They let me know by email but they didn’t realize that I didn't know anything about that. I was really dissatisfied with it because I couldn't see. I don't see any faces on them. All I hear is when I opened the door, it announces that I opened the door and that it's arming or disarming. But that's not good enough for me. I need cameras. I need to see, so I can take this to the police and have this here looked into. But I couldn't afford to get the camera.
There are people coming in this house anytime they get ready to. Sometimes, I’m in the bed asleep and that's when they’re coming in here, creeping and peeping, and also when I’m gone. But ADT didn't really understand my situation when I told them about it. Some of the things that ADT noted on my email, I would have had them call the police and let them come out here at the time that they noticed that the sensor was going off, detecting somebody.

I had ADT in California. Then when I first called ADT, I literally had a hell of a time with the lady who I spoke to when ordering it. At first, I told their rep that I just wanted information to find out about the system. But they really didn't want to talk to me ‘til I committed and gave them my card number. Also, my understanding at first was that it was a free installation, but it wasn't. It turned out to be over 100.
The ADT had told me that what was going to be available to me was about 10 contacts for windows and doors. But it ended up to be four so I was very disappointed with that. I have a large home with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two garages. Then, each thing is extra. So, I wasn't able to afford them. I was expecting seven, and the tech told me three. Then he called. He checked my credit and he said that he was able to add one more. He was fantastic but I was disappointed in what ADT had promised me as opposed to when he came out was not the same thing.
Trying to make the payment was ridiculous. When I tried to follow the prompts and do it online, it didn't work. So we did an email and it ended up taking about 12 minutes to make the payment. That card had over $15,000 on it, so it wasn't like I didn't have the funds. It was just really stressing me out. Then, it was only five days later that I had to pay the monthly because it was due on the 28th. So, I turned around and I had to pay the monthly after the installation. Then I figured they would have given me to the next month, but they went ahead and billed me. It only had been four days and they took out the full amount.
The guy who put in the equipment was very nice and he explained a lot of stuff to me. He was very good and he seemed competent. But I didn’t love the communication I had with the actual company. Now that it's done and it's installed, I'm happy and I'll recommend the system. But in the beginning, before I met the tech, I was not happy.

I used ADT in the past and their package and promotions that they were offering seemed good. The installer was able to work independently. He made sure that we understood where things were to get put. ADT had to send somebody different out in order to install the fire alarm things and the sensors because the gentlemen installing the other items had not yet received a certification in the state as he came from another state. That was very professional, rather than having them just simply put them up. He cleaned up as well.
However, I've got to go out and make my own request for the permits. It would have been very nice for the amount of money that we spent that they would have just taken care of that with the city. I still have yet to get my permit even though it's submitted and that's a pain in the neck. Then we were supposed to receive a $100 gift card. I've got to jump through the hoops in order to fill out some survey. I've got to prove and submit different things so I doubt I'm even going to get that. I felt as if it was a renege on an agreement. The salesperson made it sound as if they were going to simply send me a card once we got it installed to cover the installment price so I was not happy about that. But otherwise, they were excellent.

I feel good about ADT. I was looking at different prices that other security systems provide, and I liked this one better. The technician was good. He was very communicative, explained to me everything, and got everything set up. I only got the sensors though. I really wanted the doorbells, but the technician said it wasn't going to be possible and that threw me off. Other than that, it was a good experience. ADT makes me feel safe.

The sales representative over the phone answered all my questions and was a polite individual. The installer was a friendly, nice guy. He was also intelligent and answered every one of my questions. He knew just about everything needed. He showed me what I have now. We’re gonna get the camera system with the new tablet and all that. I was very satisfied overall.

I saw an advertisement for ADT and thought it might work. They’re a household name and it happened to be a seamless process, so it seemed like a no-brainer. The guy who came to install was nice but he probably saw that I was someone who was already looking to get stuff done and realized that it was an easy sell. But the back camera doesn't do anything that I need it to do. The installer oversold the ability of the camera's night vision. It was installed on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He left at 3:30 and two and a half hours later, when it was dark, I realized the cameras were not going to be able to see as far as I needed them to. I immediately called and tried to cancel the service. But the office was closed.
I finally spoke to someone on Friday. I made a concerted effort to call immediately to cancel and because I was outside of some 72-hour arbitrary window that I needed to submit a form to cancel, ADT is not allowing me to cancel my three-year service. They should be more flexible in the rules. I'm very unhappy with the service.

At first, ADT was very disappointing because there was kind of an ocean between what they described initially on the phone to me and what the technician described when he got here. I had been led to believe that there would be a package as low as 27.99 on the phone with the sales representative. But then when the technician got here, he said there was no package less than 53.99. There was definitely a moment where I felt like we weren't going to move forward because the cost was going to be too high. Then the technician negotiated the price down to 36.99 a month. We got a basic package, which I've been very happy having an alarm.
I've been helped every time I've called customer service. The technician who came out was helpful. But I've been a little bit disappointed with the quality of the equipment. One of the sensors on our back door fell and it broke because the only thing holding it up is this sticky glue. I really enjoy having my alarm and I was really grateful that they did negotiate the price down to 36.99. But I wish I didn't have to worry about my equipment falling. A service technician is coming Monday to look at the back door.

My aunt's got ADT, and she likes it a lot. I talked to a customer service rep and it was fantastic. He was friendly. A week later, the installer came. I had a couple of questions, but he answered every single one of them. He did a good job of explaining and he wasn't rushing through anything at all. The guy told me it's the only security system that hasn't been hacked ever. I've already steered five people away from getting the Ring doorbell because he was telling me they've been hacked numerous times. The only complaint that I have is that the ADT doorbell tends to go offline. It takes forever for me to load it real time. I can go back and look at the videos, but if I'm not on wi-fi, sometimes it takes forever for that to load too. I don't know if it just needs updating or what.

Everything went fine on the installation visit with the tech. He was professional and did a good job of installing everything. He did go over. It was pretty quick and thorough. He wore a mask and he had the shoe covers on. When he went from inside, he’d always take them off, going outside. And then, when he came back in, he put them back on. It was just that it took a long time, although normally, the visits are pretty lengthy. But other than that, everything else was wonderful. Operating the system, I had a question and it came up. He gave us all the manuals so I just need to go through and reorient myself at a much slower pace.

ADT has very bad customer service. When I received my credit card bill, it said $37.99. That's $10 more than what I've been told. Secondly, the alarm doesn't stop on its own. I have a seven-month-old baby in the house. I'm really not happy. In three days, we just moved up. We were doing painting so we didn't have experience with ADT. Then I called them for cancelation but they were telling us that we should've canceled within three days of the installation. So I'm really screwed up with the ADT. I have to pay $38 per month without liking the system. I will not refer ADT to anyone and to my friends because it's a really bad service. I'm very dissatisfied.

We had some problems with our ADT system when it was first put in, but those problems have been resolved. We were waiting for a part, then it came in, and the technician put it in yesterday. But when he left, I forgot I had one other question for him because I don't know how to set up the timer for the night system and I didn't realize it until after he was gone. Other than that, we've got things working right now. We were disappointed when we had some problems with the system but now that they're fixed, our experience has been good. It would just take time to get used to it.

I wanted protection for my house. The ADT reps were very nice. They explained everything clearly to me and my son, so we could understand it. The services were really good. Then the installers kept their mask on and they did a great job. They did everything with the cameras and the system on the wall. They broke down everything to me and showed me what happens if when the alarm was triggered. They explained it to me and I could understand it. It was a very good experience. I will refer them and I will use them again. The only thing that I didn't like was the price. I had to pay almost 400 bucks and that was never disclosed in the price. Then they said they were gonna take the $59 out in three days. It was very confusing. They simplified my plan, but the price was way more than what I expected. But I'm signed for a three-year thing now.

I’m sad to see ADT fail to evolve to stay relevant. Their equipment is bulky and requires special tools to install new devices. Their monitoring service is outrageously overpriced (36 month contract $50/month) compared to market disrupters (no contract $10/month Ring or $25/month SimpliSafe). What I hate most is I wanted to stay with ADT, made my life easier but they couldn’t offer a competitive rate, $32/month was what they called a great deal, then when I cancelled they offered me $15/month for 12 months then $20/month. What a hassle and joke, I’ve already purchased a new setup and all in I’ll be money ahead in 10 months. It’s insane.

I had Vivint before but I wasn't happy with them. I thought I'd give ADT a try and everything's good with them. The tech was awesome. He explained everything very clearly and did a great job on the installation. He was clean and wore his mask. I've got the app on the phone and we got three external cameras around the perimeter. The cameras are pretty nice.

I used to have ADT. I just got it back last week. My experience with the rep was good. However, I’ve had every intention of calling them because neither one of my doors chime. I don’t hear anything. The app also doesn't work too well. It slows down and sometimes it just closes up, before I could see anything. But the system is pretty easy to work.

I needed some kind of home security. The first ADT rep I dealt with was knowledgeable. But the second one really knew all the ins and outs and everything that I spoke to. The installation was fine but the doorbell ringer was reading low battery. If you're watching continuously after 10 minutes, it goes off so you have to reboot it. Something on it that had gone wrong. They have to come out here tomorrow and do a couple of things. Also, my son's got security cameras at his house that he bought were a lot clearer. But I like the app. But they also downloaded something on the computer so I could watch but I couldn't find it. There's supposed to be a certificate. They told me how to get it which I had done. It said to go to my account but my login didn't have an account on it anywhere. So I can't get the certificate to show my insurance company.

We had ADT before and we liked their service so we figured we'd do it again. To this point, I'm very frustrated with the guy that came out and did the install. For one, he didn't even have a ladder, so I didn't know how he was planning on putting cameras up. He had to use my ladder which puts me as a homeowner at risk for liability issues, which doesn't make any sense for a business that is supposed to be a security company. Number two, when he used my ladder to hang one of the cameras, he didn't tack the electrical wire or the power cord to the wall because his stapler was broken. He asked me for mine and I gave him my stapler and it still didn't get done. This is simple, basic stuff.
We've had a sensor fall off because he didn't install it correctly. He told me that the doorbell video camera was going to work out for my needs after I explained what I wanted to him and my concerns with the doorbell. It really didn't. He was rushed to get out of there. However, he took forever. So when it came time to go over stuff, at that point, it was past 5 o'clock. He wanted to get the heck out of there, so he was trying to rush me. I wasn't happy with the whole situation. He was not very professional. My house was worse off when he left. If I had to do it again, I would not do it again. After I called ADT to fix the problem, I got the runaround over and over and over again. It was annoying. Finally, the district manager for the New England region got ahold of me. I'm happy with the service that he's provided me so far. He's gonna have somebody come out and correct the issues.
Also, they gave me $2,200 credit to buy stuff. I wound up having to spend $1,000 or 900 and change to get this equipment installed into my house. The guy has already come to the house. I've already wasted time with my life. I wanted to just get it done. It was misrepresented on what I was actually going to have to pay. I would not recommend that company as a subcontractor for ADT to anybody.

I was under the assumption that I was getting one package, and I ended up getting another one. So, I wasn't satisfied with that. But overall, the service person came in and did what he was supposed to do as far as installing the package that was available. The only thing that was going to be changed was the keypad, and then my cameras are going to be reactivated, and that was why I paid the 1.99. Now, when I got there, he was telling me, “No that this is not the case." I had to pay some more additional monies for the camera. If I would’ve known that, I would have went on ahead and paid what I need to pay up front. Overall, the customer service was good. It's just that the sales reps need to make clear exactly what we were getting so we won’t be hit with hidden surprises.

ADT was part of a promotional package that our internet provider was doing. So once I was done signing up with the internet provider, they moved me over to an ADT salesperson who was top-notch. He explained everything to us and he was very polite, kind and accommodating. He was super professional. We plan to use the system more when we're gone but we've actually not all been gone from the house at the same time yet.

The sales rep from ADT showed up early so we got the sign-up process done sooner than we thought it would. He was very nice, showed us how to do everything and quizzed us to make sure that we were paying attention. So, it helped. We have the window breakers alarm and it is sensitive because when we close the guest bathroom door, it says, "Glass broken". Then it starts going off with that. We have a loft also and bringing down the loft ladder, it started to go off with that. We don't use the loft but my brother was in town and wanted to check out the new house. We told him to be careful not to close the bathroom door too hard or it'll trigger it. But he hardly uses it, so it's not too big of a deal. I like the system a lot and recommend it. My favorite feature is the little remote that I have that I could get in my car and alarm the system.

My dad was the one that did everything and as far as he's concerned, he feels we were lied to. He asked the lady multiple times about the down payment and what it would be after that. We did a down payment and after he did a write up for what plan to go with, the installer ended up saying it'll be $4,000 plus the 50 something a month. My dad said he felt that part of it was wrong. My dad paid for everything and he was upset about the hidden cost situation. There was a lot of trying to decide, but we needed service so we went with whatever we could do at the moment. Other than that, it was fine. The installer did great.

The installer was phenomenal. His name's Devin. We connected right away and it was an awesome experience. He made it personal. That dude deserves a raise. It's super easy to work the system 'cause I do it on my phone. I gotta have the app 'cause there are so many times I'll run up the house and forget to even set the system. Where ADT could improve is probably the sales rep that makes the phone call. They could be more interactive, not straight to the point. They could maybe try to get to know you a little bit and make it more of a personal relationship. I'm a guy that's all about personal relationships and I'm gonna say probably 90% of the world is. They want to feel, "Okay, this person is just looking out for me, not just their pocket."

I got ahold of ADT within a week after the email. Because there was a bunch of free equipment and a good promotion on, so I figured, "Might as well get ahold of them." It was a Black Friday thing. I got ahold of them and within a couple of days, they were there installing the system. Everybody was friendly. They were very professional when we let them in. But other than the fact that the security system was installed in the house, you wouldn’t even know they were there. The tech said just to shoot him a text when I got home from work. He gave me a couple run-throughs on how to arm and disarm everything. I have already started telling everybody about the deals. ADT is definitely one in our book.

I called for the ADT system, talked to a rep on the phone and tried to set up a quote. I got service on Saturday and the guy answered my questions. The install took a little longer than I would have liked it to, but I understand he ran into some problems. The system could integrate better (the motion sensor to the cameras) and I'd like to see the cameras to be a little bit better. I've seen people in my neighborhood who posted videos that some of the camera system could be better. Still, I like the functionality and overall, I'm pleased. I would recommend them to friends.

The installer of ADT came out here, told me what he was going to accomplish, that he could do things that he didn't do. He came back three different times claiming that ADT would not give him the proper equipment. He didn't have proper wires and the proper number of cameras. After three times he came back, still wasn't done, still wasn't what we talked about. Putting cameras where they didn't go because he didn't have the proper equipment. He didn't program anything when he left. So I was left not able to have the system functioning the way it should.
Even when he said he was coming back, I called him a few times. I asked him when was he coming back to finish the job. He said he really couldn't tell me because they wouldn't give him the stuff. He drove down to Boston twice and they didn't give him the supplies. Then ADT had a three-day right to rescind. I called them and said, "Can we get a date that I'm guaranteed the job's done?" They told me the installer said it was done. I said, "It's not done. You should talk to him. You should extend my three-day right to rescind because it should begin when the job is done. Not before it's done." They said, "We can't do that. So if you want out, you better get out now." So I got out. I feel beyond dissatisfied and taken advantage of.

ADT is an old, dependable system. It's been around for many years and improved. A lot of people in my town have ADT signs out front so I started with that and it was satisfactory. The young fellow who came out for the installation ended up working in the dark with the way it closes down as fast as any afternoon these days. But he put everything in in one day and I understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. After he left, I armed the system and went to bed. The next morning, I had a workman coming so I opened up the front door, the garage door and the basement door. The rest of it were all active without any problem whatsoever.
Everything went snicker-snack with ADT. The techs got to move around all over the place to put the little sensors in so you can't do much about changing that. They were very competent and personable. We seemed to get along very well so there was no problem. Some people might find it a little difficult to work the system right from the start but I don't see that happening very often if they have the least bit use of computers and cell phones. It's not that hard.

ADT's reps were easygoing and easy to talk to. They explained everything to me. The installer was great also and he showed me how to do everything. I'm satisfied with the equipment. I like how I have a smoke detector and how everything is touchscreen. Instead of having everything installed on the wall, I also had the option of making my system portable so I can carry it. ADT is definitely the company to go to. They have good customer service.

Everything went smoothly. The young man that came out couldn't have been any nicer. He took into account that we're old people and he was very patient with us about going through things and he said we could him if something comes up. He lives a long way from here and I kept telling him that he had to go and he was gonna be so late. But he said, “No, ma’am. I'm gonna make sure that everything is good to go and that you're all secure with it and everything before I leave.” So he stayed and stayed and stayed. He was a very nice young man. Nothing could have been any better, so far. We're working it out pretty good. We've been real happy with it. I really like that I can control the system on my phone.

I was with ADT before and I had left them. I wasn't pleased with the company that I went with so I've decided to come back to ADT. They were very good and very professional. They answered any questions I had to ask. They explained everything in full detail, what was going on and what I was going to get. The installation took a little longer than I expected but there were no problems. They installed everything fast. The service was good and I’m happy.

I was on my computer and clicked on something that said "savings for seniors". I scrolled down and there was ADT. My brother has ADT and has been very happy with it. A very close neighbor also has them. That's the main reason that I chose them. I was very pleased with the technician that came into my home. He explained everything very well. I like having the key fob. The only thing is I am having some difficulty getting my contract so I can show my homeowners insurance company that I have the extra protection.

****Corrupt company!!** Please read this before getting service with this company! I had ADT installed in my home a couple years ago, my house was on the market and I was eager to have a security system as there had been a lot of crime recently in the area and my kids and I were often alone at night. The issues started right away with this company, I choose them because they were the "least expensive" company I had called, or so I thought. I was quoted a price over the phone and I made it very clear my house was being sold and there wouldn't be any additional fees to move service and was told "no charges to move services." When the technician arrived at my home the price was completely different than what had been quoted! By hundreds of dollars!
I was still eager to have the system installed so I went ahead and paid this insane amount and once again clarified that there was NO fee to move my service if my house sold, the Tech made it clear they wouldn't charge extra. Several months later my house sold and I called ADT to have my services moved, a tech from ADT went to my old home and removed all the equipment and brought to my new home, then a few days later another tech came to my house to reinstall and tried to charge me hundreds of dollars to reinstall! I told him I was told it was free and he refused to install free of charge so I told him I no longer wanted their service, ADT sent me a bill for 750.00 for cancelling service and I explained they didn't hold up their end of the deal so I shouldn't have to pay that amount to cancel.
They were so rude and the man I spoke with basically told me "too bad" when I explained what had happened, he also said ADT is a large company and I wouldn't win a lawsuit as they have attorneys that deal with this "all the time". I went to BBB and complained and ADT added an additional 500+ dollars to my "bill" but said they would discount the $500 and I only needed to pay the $750.00 that I should have never owed in the first place! I told them "NO I shouldn't have to pay that. I don't have that and we are in the middle of a pandemic." They sent me to collections and now say I owe thousands of dollars! I am getting at attorney and suing them and I hope this entire company changes how they treat people.

My experience went okay. The installation people were nice guys. They were helpful and professional. The alarm is in and I haven't had any problem. I didn't get the cameras though. They told me all that was free but it was nothing free. When the salesman told me it'll be like 1,400, I couldn't afford that. Also, they're supposed to be sending me a link for $100 gift card and nobody has sent me the link yet but I see they already took a payment out.

I was talking to someone from ADT and they said one thing but when the person came out to do it, it was sort of a different story. In the beginning, the conversation that we had did not make it seem like it was going to be as expensive as it ended up being. It's not straightforward at all. I expected a little bit more in the package. I'm going to keep it because it's past that three days now but I can't say I'm satisfied cost-wise.

I am transferred services from one home to another home. Initially, I had scheduled with a different ADT company. One offered a better deal and they were able to get me in at a shorter, quicker time frame. So they came out, put up new equipment, and I got substantially more equipment because the home's larger than what I had. As far as the equipment, I'm still unable to look out of my camera. I'm not in the house. I'm at my mother-in-law. I'm unable to arm and disarm the camera. It's still not working.
They still have the excavation at the old house, which we sold on November the 20th. Also, they still have an outstanding bill from the old address. They're coding it as a termination and it wasn't terminated, it was transferred. So, I'm not happy right now. They have the incorrect address. They had it totally different. So there are three different things going on that they've yet to fix. I'm not able to access what I'm being charged for. I've had ADT for eight years and I like ADT. But today, I'm dissatisfied, especially because they're unable to correct the problem. The technician was great. That's the best experience, but everything else is horrible.

Everything was good. The only negative thing was the upselling. I told the manager on the phone just a basic system, and the guy that came out was still showing me everything. Then, the price went from $100 up to $6,600 if I wanted to get all these bells and whistles. But I wasn't interested so I just cut to the chase. I'm a salesman and told him what I wanted. He still pushed a little bit, trying to convince me. I said I was not changing my mind. All in all, it was a nice, clean, and beautiful installation. Everything worked.

I needed a security system to alert the cops sooner and I decided to go with ADT. The experience with the sales reps was good as well as when the guy came out to do the installation. ADT is a little pricey but it’s good. Since having them, my sense of security is better.

ADT was affordable and I was encouraged from hearing the price from the rep. The installation was completed the same day and the tech was awesome. But what was brought to my attention was not the initial package deal that I ended up getting. I thought I was going to have cameras but I didn't know the detail of the pricing of the camera until the actual installment date. But I’m satisfied with ADT. I got the app on my phone but I mostly do it either with the panel or the remote. I enjoy that I can arm stay from my remote.

Definitely shop around before signing a 3 year contract with ADT. There are far better options available for much less money. The home I purchased had an ADT system and I unfortunately made the mistake of sticking with them for my home security needs. That was a horrible decision. After 18 months I received notice of a price increase. What's the purpose of a contract when a company can raise the price whenever they choose? I've never encountered anything like this in my 60+ years. They already charge 3 times more for monthly monitoring than a popular and highly reviewed competitor.
Upon further research I found a site that reviewed 11 home security companies, and ADT was ranked at the very bottom of the list. I've encountered issues with my alarm going off when it was not even set on more than one occasion. The last time this happened was about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the night when I happened to get out of bed for a glass of water. If I hadn't done so I likely would have had the police at my door.
My main complaint though are the nasty details buried in the fine print of the contract you receive via email. The worst thing is the fact that if you want to cancel the contract for any reason, you must pay 75% of the remaining monthly fees due! God forbid if you decide or have to move. The same would hold true if you lost your job as tens of millions have during the pandemic. ADT wants your money and they could care less about your situation. They neglect to mention any of the details surrounding cancellation when they sell you on their services. As I previously stated, you receive the contract via email and the print is the smallest I've ever seen. I now understand why. If you read through it all, most people would look elsewhere for their home security needs as I should have done.

On Oct 25,2020, A salesperson for ADT came out to my home to sale/install alarm and security camera equipment (MR. **). After a few days I began to have problems with my WiFi, so I contacted my provider & ordered a bigger modem. This issue caused the Camera to go out. After working with tech support, they decided to sent a Tech out. On Dec. 1, '20 a tech came out who was very rude and non informative telling I had 60% usage & I needed another WiFi extended that ADT DONT HAVE.
Well I begin asking more questions which appeared to irritate him, so he left and wrote a summary report slandering my character as well as used my name by means of Electronic signature without permission. I have called numerous times & asked where to file a complaint. Because of COVID I was told by several people that how it's done. My Electronic signature SHOULD NOT be used without authorization nor should it be used on any forms without prior reading of these forms.

The two gentlemen that I dealt with were both great. They were very nice. They came in, they had their masks on, and they followed all protocols. It was a quick install. They were able to come the next day and the person who installed it seemed nice. The customer service was good and the person-to-person experience was not bad. But I had a very bad experience with ADT. First of all, whoever was here called the manager, who said that he would be here in the afternoon from 3:00 forward. On Saturday, I had family over and he shows up at 10:30 in the morning and comes in the house while everybody was sleeping. I told him that I thought he was coming at 3 o'clock and he said that he was here a little earlier. That was very unprofessional and I was very annoyed. If you give someone a time bracket from 3:00 to 6:00 or from 3:00 to 5:00, you’re supposed to come from that time bracket and not unexpectedly.
Second of all, I had a mom-and-pop shop and it had an alarm system which was called Alarm Pro. My alarm was working fine in my garage but I had to cancel because ADT couldn't get the garage door to work with the alarm system. They said it was too far away from the home but that’s not true because the alarm system I had before was an older alarm system. It was a small company and they were able to make it work. ADT has a much better system than them so, I don't know what ADT did wrong but they didn't do something right. I was very disappointed. Also, I need my money back on my card because they charged me for the system.

ADT is good. I like the ability to use the app on my phone to arm and disarm it. That's pretty convenient. I don’t have to worry about my password. It’s a fair price as well. It's just that they weren't able to get everything installed the day they came out. The guy could not get the back camera up when he left. He's coming back in a few weeks. He's just busy right now. Overall, I’d recommend ADT. They're decent folks.

I had ADT a long time ago. At the time, there was some promotion going on and we switched, my husband and I. So we were with the other company for a while. Then there was an incident, probably a couple of weeks or so ago and the alarm was triggered. The police didn't come for 40 minutes and that was very concerning. We decided then we would change back to ADT. Their rep was very knowledgeable. He took us through our options and he made great recommendations and then we made a selection. The first person I spoke to initially when we call to schedule was very good and knowledgeable, too. The panel is very nice. ADT is really reputable and they've been around a long time. I would definitely recommend it to other people.

My friend got an ADT system a couple of weeks ago and she loved it and had a good experience so I went with the reference. However, ADT corporate was a nightmare. I went with a third party and every time I called, I got corporate. They told me I couldn't get the same deals. They gave me the runaround. I called probably 15 times within 24 hours and every representative I got all spoke really bad of this third party. They were very negative.
Even if it's a third party and ADT doesn't like it, they shouldn't speak negative of people because the third party didn't speak negative of ADT. I've been in sales my whole life. When you're in sales, you don't throw people under the bus. I was about ready to give it up and not go with ADT. But somehow, I got a contact with a third party and my technician was phenomenal. I loved him. The whole experience was wonderful after I didn't have to deal with corporate. I've only had the system for a couple of days so I'm still learning it. But so far, I like everything. The system itself seems to be really good.

Porch offered me a deal with ADT so I decided to go with ADT. The installer was very nice and very professional. He was someone that was easy to welcome into my home to do it. So far, everything is great. The system pretty much covers my whole house and has everything I wanted from it.

Everything is pretty good with ADT. Their rep was really nice and was very respectful. He explained everything to me and got the job done. And I remember us talking about it, but I thought he told me I could disarm it if I wasn’t at home, but just making sure, that’s all. I had my alarm went out one night that scared me. I had to get my heating unit replaced and there were some fabrics in the wall, and they set the alarm off. I also got the app downloaded to my cell phone. Then we have to unlock and go into the house and disarm my alarm.

My father-in-law has ADT. The rep was very good. He was very friendly and he explained everything to me. I like that I can use the system from my phone. I won't go in the house and turn around to turn it off. I love it. I pull up in a driveway, I won't fumble with my keys. Just sit in the car, turn it off and go in. I also like the little key tag, which is a remote key. I just encouraged my daughter to change from Xfinity to ADT because Xfinity did not work too well. My other daughter bought a home so I encouraged her to get ADT because it's reasonable, and being they offer a lot protection. Later on when I finish my house and add to it, I want to upgrade. That works fine for me. Get ADT.

One of my friends got ADT and she loved her experience. So, I took it upon her referral. A lot of the other ones are just Wi-Fi based. If the power goes down, I wouldn't have felt as safe and I took ADT more for the backup. Madeline was the first customer sales representative that I spoke to and when we were having some issues tracking certain information, she escalated me to her manager who gave me great service. So, it was amazing.
Austin, the person who did the installation, was amazing, super sweet, very informative, wore his mask and very respectful. It took maybe an hour and a half because it was Black Friday and we were having issues getting through customer service but it was great. I love having control for my app. I can set the alarm for stay and nighttime from my bed before I go to sleep. I've only had an issue forgetting that it's armed and I probably shouldn't open the door. But I like it and I definitely feel a lot safer. ADT is interactive and it's been a great experience all-around.

Signing up with ADT was good but I'm a little disappointed that the tech who installed it never made an appearance. I was having issues with my cameras and my internet. I texted the kid who came over and he said he would be here. He said something came up and said he would be there the next day. But there was no return call so I’m a little upset about that. I had to call ADT again and they said they were gonna send another tech Saturday to my house. I have no coverage on my front porch right now. Also, the cameras were all supposed to have night vision but there's one camera mounted in the side of my house that shoots down my driveway, that when it turns dark out, you couldn't see jack down that driveway.

ADT sent me so many notifications. One time, I hit the notification and put my information in there. Five minutes later, I got a call from the people from ADT. The guy was very nice with us. He explained very well. We have one kid that stays at home. With this kind of situation, having the system is good. I would like to keep it for a little while. I used to have one in my other address. I have a good experience with ADT so I'm happy with them. I'm okay with the service and I would like to get a new package.

ADT is well-known and we all know ADT. I have friends and family that have ADT. They’ve been around for a while. So, I like them. My ADT rep was great. I even had a guy that came over here before and I had let him know that I already upped and chose ADT. He was ADT as well. He was like, “Oh, okay.” So, I was getting hooked up like that next week after I closed. The guy that dropped by was very nice. But I like my representative that came here. He explained everything. He made sure that I took advantage of using my credit that I had because I've mentioned those to him. We did a plan. He took his time and he was great.
I like the features that our service package has. I'm gonna go back and get a file for my younger son. He hasn't grasped it yet, so I haven't engaged it a lot because he is staying here, and I'm back and forth with my father's house that lives probably two miles out. We love the chime when we open the door, and it lets us know what door is open. The features are great.

I went through a bad experience where someone was supposed to show up and didn't. Then, when I had to have an alarm, I tried ADT again, and I had a very good experience. Both of my parents died so close together. There's nobody living in the house now and so we were very concerned about the possibility of arson or that kind of stuff. It seemed a better scenario to try to protect it to have an eyeball on it every single day. The individual that came out to install was very thorough, accommodating, and listening to suggestions. We came up with a game plan of what we thought would be the best coverage. So far, so good. We've not had any issues or any alarm going off.

The first time the technician came out he didn’t have know idea of what type of package I was getting. He wanted to charge me more for the things that was included in the package. I call in and they reschedule another appointment, they then canceled hours before the appointment. Don’t waste your time, this company has a lot of miscommunication issues.

Worst company!!! They had me take off from work twice and they canceled on me. They are very unprofessional. The technician tried to get me to go with a higher package deal. He just wouldn’t let up... Even tried to make me come out of my pocket with more money. Stay away from this company.

We have had ADT for several years. Luckily, never had a break in. However, we recently had a break in to our house. We had set our alarm before we left the house as per our usual routine. Someone broke the window to our back door and opened the door. The alarm did not go off. They managed to steal several very valuable things from our house. We called ADT and they said that the alarm never went off. There were no indicators from our panel that there was any malfunction. When the ADT service person came, he said that there was a hardware piece that was broken and he replaced it. The problem was that we had no idea that the alarm was not transmitting appropriately prior to that date. Everything looked fine on our end. So therefore, we basically were paying for service that we were not receiving for who knows how long. It was basically a scam.
I called ADT and asked to speak to customer service, they told me that there is not a person I can talk to but to please send a letter to an address they gave me, I did that and then received an email to say that I should call a number, which ended up being the standard phone tree which did not have a customer service number again. Again, basically, there is no real customer service person to speak to. I do not believe that ADT really provides good service and they give you the run around so that you can't ever complain about it to anyone. Do not use this company for your security needs.

I've used ADT for a long time. I just moved to a new house and I continue to use them. We have not had any breakage so I’m satisfied. The response with the police is very good. With the system, I know when there's going to be somebody there and if anyone in the home is in danger. I feel safe once the alarm is turned on.

I had ADT for quite a while before, and then I moved. I decided to go back with it because it was a pretty good system. The salesperson that came over was really nice. He did this job very well. In about an hour and a half, he was done, which was pretty quick. He knew his stuff. The only thing is that, when I did the contract, I went with the 27.99, and then I went with the warranty for three months. But they never told me that there was tax involved. If they would have told me that, then I might not have gotten it to begin with.
I called customer service and I tried to explain my situation. The gentleman who was talking to me didn't want to hear anything I had to say about it. He said it is what it is. I then asked if I could speak to a supervisor, and she was just as abrasive as the customer service rep. When I was with ADT before, I was paying 29.99 a month. But I had been with ADT so long, they went down to 23.99 a month for me. I tried to express that to them and she still didn't want anything to do with it. She said the amounts cannot be altered because that's what the corporate rate says it is, and she can't do anything about it. So I was very upset.
The system features are good. I like that they have different choices now compared to what I had when I first had ADT. They have the standard open and close door. They still have a motion detector. I also got a siren in this time, which I didn't have before. It is a good feature. They have vibration on the glass on the windows, which I never had, but I have now. It's also a good feature.
The doorbell ring was $300 and I would have loved to have gotten that. I got a credit for 1,350. But with everything that the rep was trying to sell me was almost $5,000. I'm an average guy. I make average money. Even with a 1,350 credit, $5,000 is a lot of money. I couldn’t afford it so I had to opt out. I got the keypad, which is really what I had before with the push buttons. I really wanted the fancy one, but I couldn't afford that either. So I went with the standard push button one, which I'm okay with. Overall, I like the system. We also got the fire alarm that it goes automatically to the fire and the police, which is an awesome feature as well. My wife would leave and didn't shut the door all the way, and they would call right away. So ADT does work.

We've had ADT on and off for 15 years. Dealing with their reps have all been positive. I didn't have to worry about anything. Their rep did all the work and I was very easily satisfied.

I had ADT in the past and I was very happy. I got them again. The installer who came was very nice. I do have to call him because one of the alarms on the door already fell off and broke.

It was a very good experience with the ADT sales reps and I felt very comfortable with the installation. The installation team’s level of professionalism made me feel very comfortable. They knew what they were doing and they've been doing it a long time. They knew where to place the sensors based on my needs. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions appropriately. They wore their shoe covers, had their masks on and we did hand sanitizers. ADT is a good company to go with and people will feel very safe once their security system is activated. The only thing that we forgot was a yard sign. I didn't get mine. But the guy told me to call him directly if I had any issues. I just haven't had time. So, I'll give him a call. I'm still learning the ADT system but it has been okay so far.

I got a thing in the mail and someone from ADT also knocked on my door. I was curious if that person was legit or not. There were two of them who showed up when I was moving in. But then I responded to the thing in the mail and the person thought that it was super weird. Those people don't normally go door-to-door. The technician was professional and friendly. Everything was finished that day although I thought he was going to install a camera that I can see towards the front of the house. Still, having the system makes me feel secure. I'm very satisfied.

My next-door neighbor has ADT and they've had it for years so I know they are well-satisfied. My friend, Sarah, has ADT too and she told me about it. The man that came out in Mississippi asked me questions then he talked to the lady on the cellphone. He gave me some number then he put his equipment up. He did good. I put the system on my mobile home in Mississippi and I live in New Orleans. My husband was there yesterday and he didn't use the remote key. He used the pad on there and it was working.
So far, I'm satisfied with ADT. We got a sign in the yard letting somebody know that we do have it. If I had to do it again, I would go with ADT. I like the part that when my three years is up, they don't cancel my contract. I can still keep my contract at my same rate. That's what my friend told me. I asked that man and he was saying that it depends on the equipment. When they gave me the selections over and said I could get something for 5.50, we ate that up so fast with the equipment that I thought I was already given but maybe it was my misunderstanding.

I'm happy right now and I wish to continue like that with ADT. I found out that they could adjust to my budget that's why I went with them. The technician, Jonathan, is very polite. He explained very well to my husband and I. He was very specific. He said, "If you don't have money or if you're not comfortable with this package, you can get another desired package." With Vivint, we had the equipment and they sold us a new one because they said ours was too old. But we bought the house two years ago. How could it be old?

I had ADT some time ago and restarted it. The rep promised a lot of stuff. But when they got here, he didn't keep his promise. He made it sound like there wouldn't be one. But I went ahead and did it anyway. They kept adding stuff on to me. He promised me that I could have cameras and then they told me that I had to pay $299 to get the cameras, a one-time charge. So it didn't come close to what I expected. Other than that, the installer were all fine. Both reps that came out here were fine.

I got ADT because it was through my bank account and they were doing a cashback service. But I already had known about ADT. However, I'm upset with them because they had promised me cameras but it's like all they pay for sensors on a window. Everything got installed on the 28th, and I had one tomorrow. I canceled the one for tomorrow because they have been avoiding me. I haven't gotten my email from my Visa cards. I was supposed to receive two Visa cards after the setup on the 28th, but I didn't receive them. I didn't even receive an email to activate them. I feel disappointed with ADT. I have tried to reach out to them but nobody got back to me, and the call drops. It's ridiculous. My mom was upset about the cameras. She had to buy her own camera. She was also upset about they didn't give an email for the gift cards. A lot of broken promises. I'm not too happy with it.

ADT's installer was very pleasant and kind. He had patience. He came three times and I wasn't there so he waited for me. I need to have this system because I have kids and I'm always out. In case there's a fire, I would know.

The technician explained the system very thorough. He showed me some cool stuff I can do with my phone - look at the cameras and lock the doors. It's pretty cool. I wish I could have got the whole pack, but I didn't have that much money on me. I got one camera, a door lock, a key fob, the glass-break sensor in the back room, and the panel.
I like the app. It's easier for me to set my alarm and stuff like when I first get home or leave home. Also, I really like the key fob for my mom because she’s an older lady and she is not good with numbers like that anymore. All she's got to do is remember how to push this button and hold it. It's really good for the older generation. ADT coming out with that key fob was really cool and I would like to thank them for helping out the older folks like that. My landlord is fixing to get a system through ADT also.
Before I got ADT, I hardly left the house and I would just go straight to work and come back home because I was afraid that some people were going to break into my house or something like that. My mom just passed away and she has a lot of valuable stuff, which I felt responsible for. If something happened to it, I’d have been devastated because you can't replace that kind of stuff. Having ADT makes me feel that I could leave the house. I've been able to stay later at work and stuff because I feel like if something happens, they will be Johnny-on-the-spot about it and my stuff would be saved. I feel at peace.

The ADT sales reps were awesome. The only problem that I encountered was there's no communication between the person who contacts and talks to you first and the person that installs. I was told one thing on the phone, but then when the installer came, he explained something not completely different, but it was slightly different from what they actually told me. I currently have cameras in my house that I installed myself. I was told that I could actually integrate that with the system. Then when they actually did the installment, from all the bells and whistles that I was supposed to have credit, apparently, they put all that into a packet. When the guy came over and did the survey to put the system together, actually, it was more. Instead of 27.99, it was gonna be 57.99 for the payment monthly. I told them, “And I specifically told them that I was going with the 27.99." They said, "Oh, okay. No problem.”
Other than that, the equipment is great. The system is great. My father-in-law has it also for like more than 10 years. So, those are the things that actually led me to get the system. The system that I got is simple. It's a simple keypad on the wall and the windows and doors from what they actually told me I could get for 27.99.
I'm a veteran. I retired three years ago, so I was looking for a good system. We used to install those systems like door-breaking noise for our buildings, so I know what I'm talking about. The ADT equipment is state-of-the-art like we used to use long time ago. The problem is that I was told one thing on the phone. I stayed in line like about an hour with someone, talking about the things, and I was asking questions and this and that. Everything was okay.

I had ADT down in Mississippi where I lived. I moved a month ago and updated my package with them. The salesperson and the installers were excellent. The installers had to come back to get the camera installed. So far, I'm very satisfied. I like the whole thing because I feel secure.

The initial conversation with them and setting up the appointment was fine. I'm happy with the features of the system. But I'm having an issue with ADT right now. I can't knock the actual service because it's an alarm. You turn it on and off. I'm just frustrated with the customer service part of it. I was with Brinks before and I switched over to ADT. When the technician came out to install our stuff, I told him that I already had a permit for my alarm and that I had already paid the yearly fee to the county of LA. I told him to make sure that they don't submit the permit request on my behalf because I already have one. He did his part as far as making the notes. I did see where he put, “Please do not submit request for permit.” But last Friday, I received the invoice in the mail for almost $45 because they submitted a permit for me.
I've been calling them and I've talked to four different people. They just keep telling me that, “No,” that they have to submit it on their behalf, and that my old permit was for my old company. I called LA County myself and the permit office told me that that permit is not per alarm company. It's per my residence, per the average. So nobody seems to want to help me at ADT. It's now four days from the day I started leaving voicemails and I still haven't received a call back from them. I even called the technician that installed the stuff. I told him that I have an invoice now but he told me that they were not going to submit a permit in my behalf. He said he was looking at it and that I shouldn't have been billed. He had the notes and he told me he involved his manager. But I still can't get a call back from anybody, which is really unfair. I even have a copy of my receipt that I already paid for my permit.

ADT is well-known. I see the signs and stuff from other people. I decided to do them because I'm a single mom and I just bought my first house, so we live alone, and I wanted the extra security. I don't know how to use that little keychain thing. The buttons on it don’t make sense to me that much. Other than that, the reps were helpful. Everybody was great.

ADT was recommended by my electricity provider 'cause they have a member discount program and I've heard about the brand. They were offering some good discounts and deals, so we went with them. The tech that came out was great. He was the face of the company and he was very knowledgeable. He did a good job. I have the key fob that I can set after I've left the house and I can disarm it too.

When I first called ADT, it was because I could not move. The lady I worked with was very helpful. I was able to take my name off my old system which is at a house that my ex kept. They are more transparent than their competitors when it comes to extra equipment and how that works into my billing. They also offered an equipment credit and I appreciated that. Their sales rep and installers were nice. The rep wasn't just trying to sell stuff to get my money. He was very honest with me. I like being able to turn my thermostat up or down from my phone. With my older equipment, I wasn't able to add users and turn my lights off from my phone. I have those features now and I really like that.

I used to be with ADT a long time ago and my daughter has ADT as well. So, she talked me into coming on board. Jason, the sales rep, was awesome. I love him. He explained everything to me and showed me how the system worked. Then he took me from room to room and showed me what he was doing and what the system consists of. He broke it down to me and showed me how to run the system. He's a good guy.

We've used ADT before. When we were ready to change the system that we were using, I called. The sales representative was absolutely wonderful and did an excellent job. He explained the total system and showed me all of the samples that he had 'cause he was definitely going to put things together for us that day. He was very knowledgeable and I got a pretty good education. This is a much newer system. I like the fact that we have cameras around the house and I'm happy with the security and the door lock.
