I added on the fire alarm notification five years ago, and I'm happy and comfortable with ADT. When I accidentally set the system off, they call immediately. The only thing is, my alarm was going off one time, and they called my daughter first instead of me. I don't know what happened then because the other times, they called me and it was okay. Another thing is, I've had to change the battery once and was not able to do it. They offered to send someone out, but it was going to be at a cost. I can't remember what we settled at, but after being a customer for so long, it should’ve been free of charge.

When I have an issue and I call ADT, I always get them to pick up. The customer service is very good. They're courteous and try to work with me. Even right now, they accommodate me with my monthly payments. I'm satisfied, and I hope they keep working with me.

Having a security system is definitely a good thing to have to feel safer and be alerted, and I would highly recommend ADT. It's very secure for when we're out of town and we've had a good experience with customer service. When my pad had a couple of errors on it where a light was lit up and it was beeping, I called the 1800 number and got help from customer service. It was easy, and I was able to troubleshoot my pad. It needed to be reset. It's been running smooth since.

I've been an ADT customer for a long time. Their reps have been excellent. The service has been impeccable. In 25 years, I've had two false alarms. When I was out of town, I asked them to dispatch it immediately, but when I was not going out of town, they would call to verify it first. I'd recommend ADT. I'm very satisfied.

I recommend ADT but things could have been smoother a time or two. I got the same sensors. I swapped out the control box once. Some of the stuff is hardwired. So, that took a bit of time. Everyone was very polite, professional. One guy got it installed and up and running. I've had a few glitches since then, but nothing major. Some, I could take care of over the phone. Others, I needed someone to come out. I am on the disabled side. But some things, like getting up on a ladder to take down a sensor, I'm not supposed to do. Also, there are fees that I wish they didn't have. But when they send out a truck with a person using gas, I know things cost. It seems to be to compound. But it is what it is.

My interactions with customer service at ADT have been mostly good. But I had one person that was kind of rude and uncaring. I didn't even wanna deal with them when I saw the direction of the conversation and I called back. Other than that, I'm happy with the services. One time, one of our kids came into the house and we were out of town. Thought they had disconnected or unarmed the system and they didn't so we got notified right away and we called. Also, ADT reached out and the response time was pretty quick.

I was trying to get ahold of ADT. My house burned Friday night and I don't know why the alerts didn't come to my phone, but they went to the app. I could see where things were tampered with. But I got it in November and I am satisfied with it. Everything's fine with their cost too.

I've had a very good experience with ADT. They have been responsive when I've called for technicians. When I have had issues that need to be cleared up, they could clear it up in their office. I spent 22 years in the marine corps and 24 years in law enforcement and I'm not used to being put on ignore. ADT does not put me on ignore, whereas other services may.
We had the door alarms and we've added window alarms and cameras. We've also downloaded their program to monitor the house away from the house. However, I'm very ambivalent toward the technology. We've got some speakers where you say, "Hey, Siri," or, "Hey, ADT." Those can be hacked so people can listen when we're not aware of that because the cameras have access to the internet. Hackers can look at what's going on. ADT has not convinced me that their system is not hackable. Also, at our church, I monitor the cameras. The cameras that we have at church have a better night vision than the cameras that I had installed at this house. As technology improves, ADT needs to upgrade the pixelation of the cameras.
We had a salesman from a different company come by and they offered us a more inclusive package for a lesser price. We went with them and found that they did not deliver as promised so we went back to ADT. But the price is a little high for what one gets, point one. Point two, I have moved my billing from where I pay it every month to where it is an auto deduct. They had an error on their part and put in a demand for $2,500. I called their customer service and the customer service individual looking at my account found that they had made a mistake on my auto deduct therefore, pursuant to their contract, made a demand for the remainder of the hardware. The customer service agent was able to reverse all that and go back to the auto deduct the way it was supposed to be. I'm very glad for that quick response. On the one hand, I don't like the fact that their mistake shocked me with a $2,500 demand when I knew that the bill was being paid automatically.
As far as the app goes, there ends up being two apps. One is MyADT, which will allow me on my phone to go to their website. The other is the one that will arm or disarm or arm the security service. I now know which app to go to but I am wondering why there are two. My wife is still confused. If we're away from the premises and want to arm the app by the phone, I'm the one that has to do it because I know which is the correct app to use. It was clearly designed by somebody who's a computer geeky kind of person and not someone who's consumer-oriented.

I'm satisfied with my ADT system. It’s done what it needs to be done. When we first got it, the only thing we didn't know was we had to register with the city of SAPD. We never did that once we got the alarm system. We had my dog open the back door, and the system went off. I ended up rushing home. They called me on the way home and asked, “Do you want to send cops?” I answered yes because at the time, we didn't know my dog could open the door. We ended up getting a fee because we weren't registered. Other than that, the cops have quick response.
The install was done by SafeStreets, which is a third party for ADT. Everything was good. They explained everything and walked us through. The only thing I had a problem with was where they put the doorbell. From what I was told because of the way of the layout, it had to be right there. But I feel that was just them making it the easiest place they could put it at. It's facing sideways so we won't see anybody walking up until they get into the side view of my camera. It still picks up people in front of the house, but I would like to have more of a straight-on view.
ADT called me before my contract was up to tell me, “If you extend for another two years, we'll keep you grandfathered in at this price. All you gotta do is keep it for at least one more year and you won't be charged a disconnection fee for the extension services,” which was cool. We ended up having another camera added on because the services were so good, and it was only a couple dollars more for the payment. The only thing is the equipment is very expensive when you buy out of pocket and as an add on, not in a bundle. When you get the package, you get the better deals. However, I have the app on my phone, and on the app, it's hard to delete videos. You have to do it one by one. If you go into the website part of it, you can delete it. You should be able to delete more than just one video.

I'm very satisfied with ADT. The system works for me. If we need battery, they call and say that the battery is low. They would tell us where to get the battery. They're really up-to-date with their stuff. When I did an upgrade, they explained and whatever they said worked. They walk you through whatever they're telling you. That's good when somebody explains.

I get excellent service from ADT. The house security has served me well and the health alert program that I have has served me better than well. I check periodically to see if there's something else for less money for the same service but I have not found anything for any less money for the same service that I get constantly.

ADT is excellent, and we like everything about it. Initially, it was bundled through our HOA, but then they canceled the contract and we were left on our own to choose whatever we wanted. We chose ADT again, and they had to come back here and do something. I like the system very much. We use the app to arm and disarm it, and it's easy.

I love ADT Home Security. I've been using ADT for over 20 years at different addresses. I use it no matter what. I always have my alarm on. The company has been very good to me. They've kept their prices very low for me, which is good. Whenever I've had a problem, they've been very good about everything. I'm probably the only one in my area that has ADT. I have the panic button. I have everything that I've always had with my children and now that they're out of the house and my other half is not here, I depend on that. I’m cutting back on almost everything, and ADT is the one thing I'm not cutting back on.
I feel better with ADT. Because of what's happening now, it's so important to have an alarm in the house. My neighbors attached to me feel safer being next to me because I have the alarm, which is very funny. Everything is good. I always tell people to get ADT. I have a sign outside but I really have the product. It does bother me that other people have signs out there, and I know they don't have the service. I don't know how they get the signs. I'm very happy with ADT. I wouldn't go to any other company.

The tech and the salesman, Paul, did everything. Paul was the best. I like the locking and opening the garage or the door remotely. If you have the opportunity to use the service, you should.

Dealing with the sales reps was very good. They explained how the ADT security system would apply to my insurance and the safety of my family. But it's cumbersome trying to see if you can order an additional sensor for a door and the only thing you can order from there are batteries and signs. If somebody wanted to order more door sensors, they would put that option on their account for them to have that set up, so they can have that readily available instead of trying to go the long way around it. I have multiple windows and the sensors for them are rather expensive but it comes with the territory.
The technician who did the installation was very precise and well-detailed. The alarm system hasn't been activated in any instance, except for myself testing out the first day and testing it with the technician who came out. The response time was very quick, within a matter of seconds. The alarm went off and I was able to get to it in time. A few seconds after it wasn't deactivated, it was going off and they called me instantly and asked if I was okay. I was explaining the situation and the rep said they just wanna make sure before he has the police come this way.

We weren't that well versed in security systems and ADT offered some of the equipment including a doorbell camera and we got a discount on additional outdoor cameras. The only interaction I've had with the gentleman who sold us the system was when he texted me to find out if we still have the system active. But the gentleman who came to install the system initially and everyone I've contacted over the phone has been very helpful to the best of their ability.
When we switched the internet providers, we had quite a bit of difficulty in reconnecting the cameras and we went a few months without the camera service. I spent over an hour at one point speaking with a gentleman who was assisting me over the phone to try to get them realigned and reconnected to our system, but we weren't able to do it. We had to wait until we renewed the service once the initial contract expired. Finally, we said we would keep the system but I need somebody to do an onsite visit to help us reconnect those cameras. And that's the only way I was able to get someone out to physically do it. Other than that, we had just the general alarm for the house working because the outdoor cameras were not functioning for anywhere from six months to a year since we did the switch.

The reps have all been wonderful. They called me when I burnt something on the stove, and just by the smoke, they called to make sure we were okay. The system works perfectly. They were out two months ago. We had a power surge and they had to replace the battery. Whenever I need them, they're right out. I like that we have security at night or when we leave the house.

We had a little problem with the connectivity of the cameras but after the system was installed, ADT's rep eventually got that fixed. Initially, they sent a representative who didn't understand enough to fix it. After that, they sent somebody else out. The second tech was more helpful and very knowledgeable. We like that we can check the cameras on our phones and having ADT gives us peace of mind. I'd recommend them to my neighbors.

I accidentally set the thing off. My dog went out in a hurry and I forgot I had it on. ADT called in a few seconds. I couldn't get from one room to another to grab the thing to turn it off before they called. They're good. Also, the reps have always been nice and helpful.

We use the ADT system more at our cabin and not a lot here at home. But the alarm has gone off due to power outages and when that happens, ADT calls us right away, which is good. I'm pleased. It’s just it seems like the rates just keep going up. It started at about 30 dollars and now, it's almost 90. I need to call and see if there's something they can do about the rates.

I've had ADT for years and I just replaced my whole system last year in this house again. I hadn't even had it a year and one of the panels went out. The reps told me I had to pay for it. I called the corporate office and they said no and sent a man out here the next day. The gentleman who came out was very good and explained a lot of things to me that I didn't know. It was excellent. The one who installed it didn't explain those things. We're satisfied 100% and I always recommend ADT to anyone.

In the beginning, I didn't really think anybody was interested in anything. I asked if I could get a woman to help me, so ADT gave me this woman and she was a genius. It took two weeks to get her in here but she figured out how to do everything. She explained to me what the problem was and apologized profusely. Since then, I haven't had any problem and so far, I'm happy with ADT. The system does what I want it do and I don't want to mess with it. I don't want to have to do anything and I want to push the button when I come in at night. It's easy to use and that's what I wanted. It's really nice to be able to walk in and I know nobody's been in my house. The other company I had was a train wreck and their system would just go off which was really upsetting. But when there was a problem the first two weeks I was with ADT, they just took care of it.

The sales reps at ADT explained the service. We needed the service. It met our needs. The installers were courteous and did what was needed. We had to reach out to customer service a couple of times. They've always been pleasant and been able to answer the questions. I like the service. That's why we've had it for so many years. It's just it could be less expensive, especially for people on fixed incomes.

My system has not worked for over a year and I have gotten the run around on three occasions when trying to cancel my service. This has been a big waste of time and energy. Very sad that they make their system this way.

The ADT system is superb. It's highly functional and suits our needs. We like the door alarms because we can turn them on and off and use them as we like. But they're efficient as well if we are not around. People should get the ADT system. The sense of security is good but it’s not excellent because there’s always that false sense of security because you’re never really safe.

I had some problems with ADT’s system the first few years I had it. When I first installed it, I got a bunch of false alarms and got a letter from the sheriff that they weren't gonna answer anymore. ADT put better motion sensors in and I'm happy that it doesn't give me any false alarms anymore. This goes back to the early 2000s and the technology has improved. This is in a mountain cabin and I'm not there most of the time. So, I feel comfortable about the places not getting broken into. I had several break-ins before I installed the system. Maybe the sign that says the house has a system there keeps people away.

ADT seems to be well organized. They're also better compared to my precious company. The installation of our system went well. I had a problem with the sump pump yesterday and they called me at 3 AM to check on it. I get notified if there's an alarm trigger. I'm very satisfied with ADT.

I've been protected with ADT for over a year now and they provide good service. I was out of town and the alarm went off and they notified me. They called me. Since having ADT, I feel safe and I also like that I can unlock it with my keychain.

I've had ADT for a very long time. They worked with me when I wanted the bill lower because newer technologies came out. Any time I've ever had my system go off, they were very responsive. I've not had a disgruntled employee or anything like that. All the features that I can do on the phone come in handy as well.

I've been an ADT customer for nearly 15 years total between my current and previous addresses. Recently I had two exterior doors replaced which made the sensors on those doors non-functional. Friday, March 1 I went on the ADT website to have a technician come out and repair or replace the sensors and add a smart thermostat to my system. The ADT agent would not or could not order a technician to make a site visit. I noticed both the Nampa and Boise ADT sites have notices attached to them stating these sites are permanently closed. He finally told me his boss would call within 24 hours. No one has called and I am now getting a quote from another company. Their customer service has been great in the past, but it's absolutely not acceptable now.

The sales rep was very professional. He was a wonderful young man. He seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. The system is doing great. If the power goes out, ADT sends me messages that there are 500 people out in my area and the estimated time that it might possibly be restored. Everything's good. Every time I call ADT, I always get a very professional and wonderful person who knows exactly what to do to get everything straight.

ADT has been pretty decent. The rep that I dealt with handled my issues and I've gotten the yard and window signs that he sent me. I'm satisfied with the features that are included in my package. I don't have the camera. So I called the other day to upgrade and get the camera. I got a pricing on it but it's on hold right now. I'm retired and I'm a senior. So money is tight.

ADT was my security company for six years, and I’d used them at another home previously as well. Last summer I called to cancel. I was given an email address to send the cancellation to so they would have record of it in writing and I was assured that was all I needed to do. Several months later I realized I was still getting charged for the service. I called again, and though the customer service representative said she saw in the notes where I called to cancel and received the email, all she could offer was an account credit. What am I going to do with a credit for a company I definitely don’t want to do business with ever again? I’m furious; I want a refund because I’d cancelled the service months ago and I consider those unauthorized charges.
I canceled in the first place because the panel frequently had battery issues, and though they attempted to remedy it, it was never resolved in the six years I had service. Then they informed me I could not update my panel because they said the cameras I purchased wouldn’t work with a new panel. It’s unfortunate they chose to handle the situation so poorly, and I hope this review helps someone think twice before doing business with them in the future.

The service sucks. The customer service is even worse. They say worry free guarantee but make it so hard to cancel. I finally got it cancelled and was guaranteed that I wouldn’t have any termination fees once I received the bill and called to dispute which by the way was like an act of congress to get a supervisor to call back because you can’t speak to them in your phone call. You have to wait for them to call you back but was told by a robot rep that they can’t pull the recorded calls and because the rep didn’t notate that I would not have any other options.

The ADT installers were efficient when they installed the equipment. The installation was easy. They set the cameras up and showed me how to access it on the computer. I also never had any issues with the product itself. I had cameras put on and it's easy access with my computer and my cellphone to get on the site and view what's going on at the house. The only issue is when our power goes out, the whole system goes out because you lose power. But that's not any fault of theirs. Any time that I've had to call customer service, it's been fine.

ADT is a great company. It has been a great experience with them. Everyone that I've talked to has been very positive. The installers were very informative. They would let me know. I would ask stupid questions. And they took the time to explain things, make sure that I understood what they were doing. Also, when I wanted ADT to come out and add a keypad, it was simple. They said they would come at a certain time and they did. So, I was very happy with them. I used to hate to leave to go anywhere. I was afraid somebody would breaking in. It made me feel a bit safer leaving the house. Also, I like that where I could set it on the phone. In case I forgot, I could check. I added a system in my other house.

ADT is awesome and I have a great experience. Their logo keeps thieves away. But I need to update my account and I'm catching hell going online. I tried to go online and update my account because I was 30 days behind and I have never done that because I had them set up on autopay. I've been trying to do it for three days but it keeps kicking me out. I called them but I can't even get them. It's always a computer.

The service in my shop works great. I have one sensor on one door that I have trouble with. But I'll fix that myself. Outside of that, it works fine. The other problem I had was, we lost power and that thing kept going off here in the house. I reset it and about a minute later, it went off again. So, I just kept having to reset it. I didn't realize that that was a problem because when I was working, the one we had at work years ago was an ADT system and if we lost power, it just went off and that was it. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody right now because their customer service stinks.
ADT is an extremely hard outfit to get ahold of. I had a problem and I called the customer service number on the East Coast and it went to voicemail. I never hear from anybody. So I'm not too happy with them. I've got two keypads in the house that I'd like to have raised so they're eye level. I'm fairly tall and the one they put in my shop out there is eye level so it's easy for me to see. But these are the ones in the house. The people who had the house before were short so the keypads are down low and it's hard to see what you're doing. It is different than the one I have out there so I wanna use the same one and put that type of keypad in here. I just quit calling and gave up on ADT a year ago. It wasn't worth it.
One of these days, the reps from ADT will come out here for something else and I’ll talk to them and rip them up about that. It's either that or I'm gonna do a different company. They charge a separate amount for the house and a different amount for the shop. Each one is the same dollar figure but I have two different charges and it's all in one thing. They bill us online but they send the paper bill too and we haven't been able to stop that either.

I had a fraud on my credit card. So I called ADT to cancel that card. I told them when I got the new card in the mail, I would call them with a new number. I don't know if they were using artificial intelligence voice or if it was overseas voice because I couldn't understand that I had to hang up and call back and get someone else. If it was artificial intelligence, they should stop using it because I really couldn't understand it. But I finally got it resolved and we're fine. It's a security system and it works.

We like the cameras that ADT had but all of a sudden, they went south about 10 years ago. The cameras were not picking up anything and we had them out a dozen times. We already had Ring set up at our front door so we went to Ring cameras. And everything's working fine.

Everything seems to be working okay with my ADT system and I'm happy that the equipments seem to be operational. But a lot of the features I have, I haven't really used. I need to use them a little more often. And sometimes, I always get the impression that my cameras never work 100% of the time. If they're not working okay, I don't know if it's my Wi-Fi or what's been tripping it. So that's why I don't look at the cameras a lot. But I never experienced 100% efficiency with them ever. If I go to the cameras, it might work now, but eventually, one of the cameras is going to go out, so I need to look at those cameras often to make sure they are working all the time. If I really had the time to look at those cameras and I'm finding that I'm not getting exactly what I'm paying for, I might have the tendency just to drop everything.
Years ago, when I first got their service, they would come out here and take care of the problem because they want things to be working efficiently. But now they charge for everything, especially if someone's coming out. And with the cameras I had before, they might have been first generation, but they helped me a couple of times. If a deer comes up on my steps and eat my plants, which happens often, I would see the deer, take a picture of it, and send it to my landscaper and ask if he got something he could put out there that could keep this deer away from the fruit. In one case, my landscaper was driving very fast and he hit my mailbox and damaged it. And he didn't tell me about it. But I was able to show him what was caught on the cameras and I told him that he needed to get that fixed. But with the cameras I got now, I don't feel I'm 100% satisfied with them.
At another time, the battery in the basement was weak, so I ordered some batteries. But then, the sensor was giving off a false signal. The guy that came out here told me that he had to charge me. But if it was somebody who was local on my side who came out, changed the batteries, but there was not much he did in there, and they didn't charge me and I'd feel good about that.
Other than that, when I got these cameras years ago, I had to pay a little more money and ADT gave me the indication that they reduced the price and after four years, they would reduce the price significantly for what I pay each month. But when I brought it to their attention last year, they reduced the price by $10. But the other guys were lower. So no one has ever done anything greatly for me with ADT based on my loyalty to them over the years. But there's a need always for a security system, and in most cases, I still would recommend ADT because I don't know the other options out there.

I've called ADT a couple of times when my bill went up and it was basically taxes. So I was informed of that and they were very good. I was very appreciative. Then I called again. I was able to use my phone and have an app on my phone with Northstar. With ADT I have tried and tried and tried to get the app on my phone because I was able to put up my garage door and lower it. I've not been able to do anything, so I just gave up. So that would be the only drawback I have with them.

Everything was straightforward with the sales rep. I never had a security system before and he explained everything. Then, it was just a matter of waiting until the tech came over and he was the one who really got into everything when he was here. He gave us a bunch of different options to go with, which I thought was pretty nice, and it was even nicer because we're able to actually see it instead of just over the phone.
With the service package, I feel very secure when we leave the home because I know, if something happens or somebody tries to break in, I'm gonna get that immediate notification. It makes me feel good and it's peace of mind. Even when we set the alarm on and we're home, that makes me feel really good too. The feeling of security is my biggest positive and what I like about it. Thank God, we haven't had to use it yet. They say the police even show up even sooner with the system than a regular 911 call. Hopefully, I never have to find that out but it's nice to know and if that works, great. I would recommend this system to anyone.

ADT has been great for me and I've had it for a long time. Had ADT in New York, then I moved and had ADT here. Anytime I call them or need anything, they're there for me. My grandson messed up my car and I put some additives in it. I was backing it out of the garage and it was smoking and the alarm system told them that the house was on fire. ADT called me and I told them that the house was not on fire. But the rep said, "I'm sending the fire department anyway." They sent the fire department, which didn't make any sense to me at the time. But they were trying to protect me.

The rep came over to visit me and double-check where I wanted my system put. When his workers came, they were ready to go. I got exactly what I wanted, which was to be able to set my alarm at any time, be gone, and come back. They also took me through a lot of the things that I don't use.

My overall experience with ADT has been great. I'm able to do what I need to do from my mobile device. I got what I needed. The only issue that I had was that their installer left a huge mess. He went around doing the wiring and putting up the cameras, and all his snipping and scraps were all around. All his staples were on the ground where my tires could run over them. All his cuttings of the wires were everywhere. He was conversational, mannerful, and nice but because he kept trying to upsell me and get me to get extra stuff and I didn't want any extra stuff other than the basic, I felt like he just installed the stuff and he went out to the van for a little while, then he came back in and tried to upsell me some more, and then I didn't want that stuff. So, I felt like he just put up how he wanted to put the stuff up, had wires everywhere, and had clippings, staples, paper, and any type of trash that he could just leave all over the ground.
He then left. I got a four-year-old and a two-year-old and I got staples everywhere. As far as my service package, the only thing I noticed is that it would go offline often. I have to redo the Bluetooth or reconnect it. But a lot of times, it probably has something to do with the connection or power outing. For the most part, everything works well.

When I first got with ADT, it was rocky because I got a bad box on my wall and it kept going off. I didn't know why it was going off. But eventually, I found out that it was a bad box that they installed. They finally replaced it after a year and a half and after I spent a lot of money buying different batteries for the sensors and paying for the police to come out to my house and there was nothing wrong. They got it fixed. We worked and got that replaced. But ADT has always been good. I appreciate them. When they tried to raise my bill a few times, they gave me some good assistance with that and they didn't raise the bill. When the installers came out and did their work, they were nice, courteous, and friendly. When they said they were gonna be here, they were here. So, everything went well with them. ADT is a good company to protect your home because every time my alarm went off, I got a call from them immediately.

I've been a customer since 2003. So, I'm pretty happy with ADT. The only time I had a problem was when I had some sensors go bad because of sun damage on them, and that was about 10 years ago. I had a little spat with one of the dispatchers and they said, "Well, we don't see any problem." But I told them that there was a problem and then, finally, I got a guy over here and he said, "Yeah, it's all sun damage. They gotta be replaced because they intermittently go off." Once that problem was solved, I haven't had it since.

I called ADT and they came in and they had a package deal and they put all the sensors up. If I wanted extra, they put it in and didn't charge me for it. The only thing that would go up was my monthly bill. So, it wasn't bad. They stay right in my budget. It just went up a few dollars because I added another alarm on my garage door, and they had to do a lot of work on that. So, the price is excellent. They have great equipment.
Any time I have a problem, they come right out here and fix it. They always tell me it would be a couple of days, but they're here the next day. If I need a battery, they'll send it in the mail, and then I tell them, "I'm not very mechanic." So they'll say that they will send somebody out here to put it in for me. Lo and behold, they will come out. When techs come here, they put the shoe covers over their feet and go do what they got to do. They also clean up after themselves.
Every month or so, they'll send me a thing saying they ran a check on my alarm and it's cooperating with their computers. They keep me in the loop about everything. If an alarm goes off in my house, they'll call me to make sure it's me. In case if I go on a vacation and if anything happens, they'll send somebody here. ADT is a good company. I love them. Their employees are very, very polite and very business-like. If I have a problem and it's not in the scope of what they come here to fix, they have no problem in fixing it or taking care of the problem. They're really good. I love their employees. Their employees are really nice.

The sales rep from ADT knew what he was doing. I asked him about getting it on my phone, and he fixed my phone up. I get on there and arm and disarm the system with my phone. The app works great. Overall, I haven't had any issues. The only thing I had a question about was when it says something about the Wi-Fi not connected. I just haven't had a chance to even ask anybody about that.

The sales rep answered all my questions and quoted me prices. The techs were very helpful when we had to have a battery replaced. We've had nothing but good experiences. I wanted the system for the complete idiot because I'm 76 years old and not technically inclined. So, our system is very straightforward. We have a password, which we haven't changed in all the years. It's a series of numbers that means something to us and it works fine for us. ADT is true to its advertising. The only thing I had a problem with, and that was right at the beginning, was they had all those alarms placed on windows and doors to prevent people from breaking in. And we live in a 120-year-old house and we have a lot of old woodwork and they're very obvious. I adjusted but I still see them because we have beautiful wood porch doors that go out onto our enclosed sun porch that come into our house and at the top is the white alarm. But it is what it is.

Every now and then, I get an email about stuff that's going on, like if I wanna upgrade. I got my service upgraded in May, and the guy was outstanding. I dealt with Gilbert. He was very professional. The only thing I didn't have ADT put in was cameras 'cause my internet speed is not high enough. I only have 12 and I gotta have at least 250. Besides that, ADT is very good. When they were just doing some work on my house last week, some construction, the alarms didn't sound, but the windows and doors were open, so it alarmed me.
I appreciate ADT, and I highly recommend them. I got them because I was referred by some other customers. I have a couple of friends that have them. My sister and her husband have ADT as well. They got the cameras, the whole nine yards, while I just got the regular system, but I'm very content with it. I wouldn't change anything.

Right when we moved in, a salesman from ADT came to our door. So I thought, "Well, you know what? That's nice that they're right on it. So I'll go ahead and go with them." Also, in my neighborhood, I've seen other people using ADT. It's funny because I had already made an appointment with ADT and then the salesman came to my door selling ADT through Safe Haven. They resell ADT. It was the same price and it was a good interaction. One negative thing though was that the rep had said I was gonna get some kind of incentive for signing up and I never received it. I did reach out to her and I never heard back.
We had a technician install everything, and he was really friendly. He took his time. He went over all the different components and installed them exactly where he recommended or where we wanted them. So, that went well. For the most part, everything is working fairly well. We had a situation where dust triggered the fire alarm. We got calls right away. So, I find that everyone's really responsive if something does happen. The only downside is that we have an old house, and I think for my cameras to work better, I have to get another wireless device. It seems expensive to buy another one so that I have better signal. Overall, ADT has been a good service so far.

The sales rep from ADT and the installer were very nice. I called when I wanted to get the camera straightened out and they transferred me to someone who barely spoke English. The accent was so heavy. I couldn't understand what she was saying. I was on the line an hour and 14 minutes and nothing was accomplished. I'm not happy with the front camera. I'm almost 88 years old and I get worn out trying to get it to function properly. There were two people at my front door today and I have no pictures of them. It wasn't recording, and when I do have a picture, it's only there for just a few hours. When the service was first installed, the pictures would stay for days, but that isn't how it works now. Also, I've never figured out how to turn off the monitor on the basement stairs. In order to go with the service armed to go downstairs, I have to shut it off. I can't just turn off that one spot.

I've had ADT for 20 years since my previous home, and I have it here since 2018 when I moved over to the new house. The installation went great. Unfortunately, they did raise the rates a few months back. I called back and because of my long-time history with them, they lowered it back. I’ve just had the same panel for a long time. I wish that they would offer to upgrade if I sign a new contract. I wish that somebody would have called me and said, “Listen, you've been a long-time customer with us. And we'd like to offer you X, Y, and Z.” They just don't do much of trying to keep their customers that way. Other than that, the service is very good.

We had one of the door alarms went off, and they were always quick and clear to respond. In fact, they called the police in the middle of the night and that was the right thing to do. We would certainly recommend them. They cost more than other companies. But we don't have any complaints at all. We're looking forward to a reduction in costs because I understand that State Farm has bought them or is buying them.

The rep who did the installation was a good guy and I'm happy with ADT. I need some more features, but I can't do it right now because I don't have internet at home and I don't have a computer. Also, the price is a little high -- $50 a month, but I don't mind. They send me a message when the door or a window is open, which is what I need.

We installed ADT a little over two years now and there should be calls to check up on how we’re doing. We just pay monthly and there's no communication at all. So, there's no service. I would rather just go with another security company because of that. My husband likes it because we moved. We live an hour and a half away from his job and we use the system for the camera. My gripe about it is we have this thing that flashes for the system. It's something with my battery. But it's been over a year that it's been doing the same thing.
There are times that the camera would be off system. It's not internet because I work from home and my internet's not down. Sometimes, someone's at the door and I wanna see, and I'll try to get on and it's not working. Probably an hour later, I go on it and it's working. The camera is one of the main reasons we still have it but maintenance should be done, especially it’s a security system. I signed up for solar and in September, it wasn't working. ADT didn't fix it until November. They told me that they're gonna check but they don't.

My experience with ADT has been good and I like their price. They explained to me what they had to offer and what it would entail. I was very impressed with both the security system and my cameras. I'm able to feel safer in my home with the security system. Then with the cameras, I'm able to see what's going on around my house even when I'm away from home.

One of the reps was trying to get me to buy things that I didn’t need. Other than that, ADT has been great. I'm glad to be able to know when somebody's at my house when I'm not there, I am able to lock and unlock doors and set the alarm from my phone. It's convenient. I also like that the porch light comes on when I come home so I can enter my code.

ADT lowered the price down for us on two of the accounts since we've been with them so long. When we've called them, they've taken care of business. When we had an upgrade, the installation team was very informative. We're older people and they were trying to teach us how to do that stuff. The one that we've got in our present home is a little bit much for older people.

We're very pleased with ADT. They are something I boast about. We had a situation where they saved our home. It was very impressive. We were doing some work with a flammable substance when it was saturated with a cloth and the cloth was left on a counter. It gave off fumes that the alarm went off. It was very helpful to know that ADT was very effective for us. They've always come into the home and conducted themselves appropriately and politely.

ADT has been very efficient and I value their service. We moved into a house that already had an ADT system and they made it very easy to continue the use of the system. It took a minimum of effort to sign up and use the product. They also came out and explained everything. Then, the installers came out very readily. We had one window that wasn't covered with a security alarm and they hooked it up and explained how to use it. Then last weekend, I had a problem because I had new screens put in my windows and they had to take the security alarms off in order to install the new screen. One of them wasn't put back on correctly, so I called the company then they told me what to do to fix it and I fixed it.

The sales representative that I had misled me. He told me that I could switch from the service I had to ADT and I wouldn't have any problems. I called and he told me he was coming by here to bring some papers for me to sign so we could discontinue my contract with Monitronics. He never did come by and I wound up paying ADT plus the service that I had for about six months. I was having to pay both of them because my contract was not up with the service I already had. He told me not to worry about it, and he would cancel it. For six months, I was paying two security people and I had to finish paying them.
I have the regular alarm system and the medical bracelet and I haven't had to have it replaced or have anything done to it except to have that medical bracelet replaced. I had something about the watch that you can wear if you fall, and a tech came. That was what was triggering my alarm system and he replaced it. I thought it was the battery in the alarm system, but it wasn't. He fixed it right away. He was very nice, on time, and he did what he was supposed to do. I had to pay a service fee, but it was better than listening to that alarm go off every time you turn around.
Customer service is fine. Sometimes when I'm coming in in the morning, and I've got a handful and I'm trying to disarm my system, it'll go off and they'll text me and let me know that it's going off. But if I have a problem and it's something I need to know, they'll either call me or text me. A month or so ago, I had treatments Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and my alarm was going off all morning and they were trying to reach me, but I didn't have my phone on. They finally called my daughter. What happened was I had a birthday balloon and it was floating in my home and it got caught up next to my motion sensor and it caused my alarm to go off.

I am by myself and feel better about going to sleep at night with the ADT alarm on. I had to replace a lot of batteries but if I call them up, they talk me through it. I've called them a couple of times. I get more action from calling the national number than the local number. The 1800 number does more service for me. They come regularly when I call. They inspected the last time. The alarm went off in my work room. They told me it was batteries and they changed them. Usually, it requires a ladder. I've done the one between the living room and the dining room that requires a ladder several times. I'm not sure what trips it trigger outside of the batteries going bad. But I don't always get the same service guy and that bothers me that people change jobs so much. Also, ADT has my bank account number, which bothers me. They told me that the last time they were here. I wrote them a check and the kid said, "We don't need that. We got your bank account number." But nothing bad happened.

I call over the phone when I have a problem with the cameras, and the reps are very knowledgeable, kind, polite, and patient. The installers are patient and somewhat knowledgeable as well. The price is a bit too high compared to the market, but ADT has been fast.

The installation of our ADT went fine. The tech had it done in a day. I haven't had any problems with it since. I'm satisfied with the whole thing. However, I would never have used a Google doorbell. I'm contemplating switching back to a Ring and just disconnecting the doorbell from the ADT system. It doesn't stay charged for very long and I can't move it around and everything else I have is Ring, camera-wise.

We've got confidence in ADT and we're very happy with it. Every time I've made a mistake, they have responded quickly. I often go to the car and my hands are loaded down. I've got my house keys as well and I press the panic alarm. That's happened once and I didn't hear that the alarm had gone off inside. I was out by my garage and very quickly, there was a phone call from ADT to make sure everything was okay. I came inside and there was a knock on the door and there was a police officer. When you have that kind of speedy service, it gives great peace of mind.
We've been very comfortable and satisfied with it. My wife feels safe when I have to be away at night or go away for a few days. It's like somebody's watching over you. She's not afraid at night because she's got ADT and we live pretty isolated. It's proved to be more than worth the money we pay. I have recommended ADT to family and my eldest daughter and her husband.

Since March of last year 2023 that my house was burglarized I was promised things that never happened. Never received their promotional check. When asked they said the check was returned as undeliverable although received all of their bills and advertising. The funds for damages from when, my basement and front door were damaged I never received. I requested multiple calls for a tech at no cost and they wanted me to pay for a system that did not work since day 1. May 2023 I asked for them to come pick up their equipment and void the contract as they failed me when it mattered most. I was informed by an agent that they would ensure that all was taken care of. I stopped paying and called constantly for an update just for them to tell me that they will settle for $800 for a service that has not been used especially for $6800 they they won't take responsibility for. DO NOT GET ADT. I guarantee that you will regret it!

ADT does well, but if I had anything to nitpick about, it would be that there have been some times when the alarm went off and I wasn't contacted. It was either a serious situation or I made it home in time before the person was able to call me. If they have a billion-dollar company, which they do, I would never want them to call me after I'm already in the house. We had a false alarm here about two years ago. I'm a supervisor for a chemical plant, and I made it home in about four minutes. However, it was after I got through that ADT called even though they have people on the phones that look in. They shouldn't be sleeping. They should be doing their job, but since Covid, it's sketchy when they call.
In retrospect, ADT saved my life, so I should never say anything bad about them. I take a sleeping pill because I work the night shift to try to help me sleep in the daytime, and we had a possible fire here in the house. It was in the kitchen, and ADT called the fire department and woke me up. Had it not been for them, I'd be dead right now, so my qualms with ADT is zero. The overall experience from the salesman to the installer with ADT is 100% real. I'm a big fan and I love them to death. I only share my complaint so they can improve. They're already great, and I can't make them any greater. They're my favorite company in the world, but I just hope for somebody else or me, if they're on the phone, they can get to it.

I'm not the happiest. The camera did not get what I needed at the time, which is bad because I've had intruders in my backyard. And at one point, I complained that from 7:07 to 11:49, I had no viewing. And 11:49, the camera picked up an intruder in my back, but it didn't show me how he got in. The camera covers the back and all the way to the driveway. My next door neighbor was picked up. But he was in my backyard near the fence. I don't know how he got in. However, I had to call the cops and neighbors came to help me. And they asked me how he got in. I said, I had no idea.
I called ADT. I complained. I also called the representative that opened up my service and I let him know that I was not happy. Because even now, if I go to the camera and try and pick up anything from today, it's unavailable. It says the camera is saving battery or unavailable, and to retry. I find that to be insufficient. I would like to see that that camera works. Because I have the Wi-Fi specifically so it would pick up. I put in a sensor light back there since. So, even making it brighter. Even if they picked up something at nighttime, it would show on the camera without the sensor light.

I love ADT. They're very reasonable and I like that I'm able to access it through an app. If I forget to lock up or set the alarm, I can do it from my mobile and it helps out a lot. I like that I can also set up a reminder. In case I forget, it'll remind me ahead of time to do what I need to do. Any time it's having a malfunction, they're on top of it. They'll send me a shout-out, and let me know that I need to give it a check to see why it's not communicating. My breaker just threw a couple of weeks ago and I had to call to get a restart, they were very professional. They were understanding and patient to help me get back on track. Also, if they couldn't get in touch with me, they would call my emergency contact. They gotta make sure we're safe.

I'm really happy with ADT. It's the best decision we've made for a long time. I live in a neighborhood and everybody had the signs out in front of their house. So, we knew we wanted to do something. I called and got some questions answered and I liked what I heard, so we signed up with them. We're very pleased with the service package. I use the app on my phone, and it's perfect.

We were satisfied with the way the ADT reps presented the system and suggested what we needed. We included enough coverage for all the obvious entry ways of the house and the main feature of the whole thing was intrusion at exterior points into the house. A couple of times we've had batteries replaced and so far, we've been satisfied with the customer service as well as the operation and price of the system.

We've had a good experience with ADT. Whenever we've had a problem, it's been taken care of quickly. Our control panel went bad, so they had to come out and fix it. We've also had a couple of bad window alarms and they came out and fixed it too. We utilize the system from the phone. It's easy that way. Occasionally, we forget and we use the keypad. I'll open the door, it starts to beep so the wife will run and put in the pin. We feel safe. When we go out of town, it's easy. We can keep track of what's going on around us, like if somebody comes to the door.

The service is going very well. I recently asked for some plaques to put in my front yard, and it took them a while to get here. But they sent me two out here. So I got them on each corner on my front yard so they can't say they missed it. The reps were very, very nice and professional. The tech had to come out and show me how to change a battery and one of the whole sensors. Everything went good after that.

The system is cool. The only things I don't like is the driveway camera and that I don't have inside chime for the doorbell. They're saying that I can purchase but I don't know where to go get an inside chime. I've called them and when I got in touch with them, they kept talking about a password I had but I don't remember it and they wouldn't deal with me. I told them just to come get it then since I don't have any password but I've been hanging in there. I'm gonna have to try to call them back about a new sign in the front yard because my yard man broke my ADT sign.

The installer knew what he was doing and he cleaned up behind himself. It's good having a monitored alarm system and I am satisfied with the features of the system. They're a good service. I use it every day. I turn it on at night when I go to sleep and if I leave and nobody's there but the dogs, I use it then also.

The system gives me some degree of security, which is the main thing. I would have to recommend ADT to anybody. It's not perfect but it's about as close as you're gonna get. I log in the app every now and then just to keep it updated but I haven't been in a minute.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT GET ADT! I have recently canceled my ADT services after being a customer for 12 YEARS as I was paying $740.28 per year JUST for the service (I paid for my equipment in FULL upfront). I canceled my ADT services on February 2, 2024 and had a RING Alarm system installed (same service for $200 per year).
I received a bill from ADT after cancellation for $49.35 for a service period of March 4 - 15, 2024. I called ADT to ask why I am being charged for services that have been CANCELED on Feb 2nd, and I was told that ADT charges their CUSTOMERS for an ADDITIONAL 30 days AFTER cancellation and I am required to pay for the charges even after the service has been CANCELED. I was told this is part of their "terms and conditions." Something is HORRIBLY wrong with a company that charges customers (even customers of 12 YEARS) for an ADDITIONAL 30 days of services AFTER CANCELLATION and they make sure to put it in the fine print as if that is okay. If you have the option to get a DIFFERENT security system, DO IT IMMEDIATELY.

Everything is working great, and I like being able to control my lights and door locks remotely. I turn on the alarm at night, lock my doors and I don't have to worry. The alarms haven't gone off, but if anybody tries to get in, I'll just reach over on my nightstand and get my gun. I'd tell people to give ADT a try. I'm satisfied with it.

ADT has always been dependable and easy to use. If I call and they try to work with me remotely, it's been fine. When they have felt like they needed to send somebody out, which has not been very often, they send somebody out. They're always friendly, respectful, and very professional. My system includes fire and break-in alarms, and everything's good.

The sensors on the windows keep falling off and overall, it's not that great a quality system. When I complained, they said that they sent me out some more stickers or more sensors for me to take the old ones off and put the new ones on. They were the ones that installed them originally. Also, when I called, I got their automated system and was on hold forever. Looking back on it now, ADT's system is overpriced for what it is.

I like ADT a lot because they've got items on the windows and the doors. When I think of a security system, I just think of the doors. I never thought of the windows too and everything else. So, I'm really happy with what we've got. We were thinking about adding some more security lights. The service has been good. The team at ADT has been special in a good way. They were helpful when we were trying to figure out how to change batteries even without telling us what to do. Instead of saying, "Just go call somebody to figure out how to put them in," they walked us through it easily.

When I'm away, I can check on things thru the system. If I need to let somebody in the house that has a key, I can turn it on or off. It works. I can check if anything happened in the house. I've had some issues when they did some installations. Other than that, everything's fine. But I wish it was cheaper.

I was with ADT but I switched and that company was the most corrupt and worthless company and it cost me thousands of dollars to get rid of them. Jessica, ADT's Idaho sales lady, came to my rescue and got me a system that would work again. She gave me a rundown on what would be needed because the ADT system that I had was out of date. They couldn't replace it all with the same stuff and part of it had been stolen by the other company's people. She made me an estimate and stayed with it right to the penny. She got good help here and they had their problems trying to get it up but Keegan, the service guy, hung in there way longer than I would have. He knew there was a way to make it work and he figured it out. It has been working since they left. But I didn't like some of the things they changed. I have a man cave that's on the other side of my patio from the back door and I got a motion detector there and in my garage, which is 35 feet from the back door. They had made it work before, but they won't make it work now. I'm a little upset with that.

I got ADT a long time ago. They had a neighborhood meeting and the ADT representative was there and gave us a good deal. The prices have gone up since then, though, so I keep thinking if it goes up a little more, I'm gonna have to switch or discontinue. Also, one time, it was beeping and I didn't know if it was the battery. I called the number on the keypad and it was another company that represents ADT. They were trying to sell me an update and I thought it was just gonna be regular. At first the rep said no charge but then later on, he put me through another person and that person was ready to do the update and all that schedule. Then, he asked how I would like to pay for it. I called ADT again, a different number, and they said to just call that number next time. But it's not the number in the sticker that they have on the keypad and that phone number there is kind of deceiving.

The salesman I had was amazing and the gentleman who came for the install was very informative. I wasn't familiar at all with the security system and how it worked and they showed me how everything worked. I felt comfortable when they left that I wasn't going to make any errors with it. Our favorite thing about the system is the coded door entry and we really like the fact that we got cameras at the front entrance and on our back patio that covers the whole backyard. It covers the gate area so we can see who comes and goes through the gate and who comes and goes up our driveway. And all that can be done right from our phone. When I'm not home, I can also be watching who's on our property. I enjoy having it and it's a nice asset to the property and the house.

We have an issue with an upstairs window sensor for several months now, which ultimately has never been fixed by ADT. This sensor, which happens to monitor our 4 yr old daughter's window, would alarm in the middle of the night causing my wife to go into a panic. This happened multiple times. Numerous time we called ADT and they would try troubleshooting the issue over the phone, each time we would later discover didn't work.
Finally they agreed to send a tech out, who let me know that the sensor in fact never actually worked (for years) and is on an adjacent bedroom window- but also linked to our daughter's window, so both not working. His supervisor agreed they could reduce the cost from $50 to $40 to fix the issue... All of this after we have literally spent thousands of dollars on the ADT system and "service" and they'd like us to continue to. They try charging us every time they send out a tech to fix their system issues. I have to bypass this sensor/both windows each time I turn on our security without constant false alarms. Buy ADT at your own risk.

I had Protection 1, which was bought by ADT, for over 10 years. Due to continued rising prices for very little service or update to equipment I terminated in 2022. Then in 2023 I received a letter stating I had a past balance due and that when I originally called in they had only suspended my services for 6 months. Both occasions on calling offered lower pricing but not materially. They agreed in August 2023 to close account and no balance would be due. I received a letter in February 2023 that I now have a balance due of $202.40 or referred to collection agency. Calling again to Account Services discussed situation with Danielle who indicated that I had no choice since I had received services, which I was even unaware that alarm had been turned back on briefly. Terrible customer service and pricing relative to services.

I've had good experiences with ADT. I like that when I’m away, I turn on the away option and I make sure that the motion sensors are working. When I’m home, I don't. I just use the options for being around. They’ve always been very active with me as far as when something went wrong or somebody tripped out the alarms. They are right on top of it. ADT does a good job and the system works well. We have some battery issues that I don't like, ‘cause when the batteries go out, that causes some problems. But other than that, we just replace the batteries. I had a little problem when a device went out. But, it worked out well for me because a guy came out and showed me what I needed to replace.

The rep made suggestions so we didn't have to alarm every window in the whole house. It went very well. They've been responsive when we've needed assistance. We've had to replace some finger pads over the years but it's all been easy. We pay a yearly fee that's sizable but we've been very satisfied with ADT. When we lived in another state, we were also customers of theirs.

We did an upgrade and we went, for the most part, wireless now. I finally got one of the newer keypads in after the old one I had was put in years ago, and I had a bit of difficulty getting them to recognize it. Customer service has been good. I was able to contact one of the local directors of sales, and the regional director called me one time as well. Everything seems to be working splendidly. I've been with ADT for 30 years and I don't have any complaints. If something goes wrong, I can call them and they respond.

We're very happy with ADT. The system works, and their technology department is always there. We've had issues wherein the system wasn't programming 100%, but that's just during the regular routine maintenance. Sometimes, it might have been a problem with one of the entry doors or windows, but I have been able to take care of it with ADT. They're always 100% and always handle it.

I've been very pleased with ADT and I wouldn't change, but I hope it stays where I can afford it. I'm widowed and it has gone up one time since I was here. I know a lot of people have gotten Ring, but I'm fine with ADT right now. Customer service has been very nice.

We use the system, and I don't have any complaints. I had to call a long time ago about my PIN and ADT's customer service was all right. Also, we only have the alarms for the doors, so it's a very basic system, but I'm thinking about upgrading at some point to get cameras. That would be a lot more interactive.

The installer was intelligent. He told me what he was doing and it was good. However, it took ADT forever to decide what it was, that the main box needed a battery. Then they sent the wrong battery. It was beeping and beeping until they finally got it fixed.

The service as well as the reps have been good. From when we signed on, they were responsive of coming out for the installation and when we've had problems, they've been able to help us through those by getting solutions. Generally, I like everything about the system. It connects with our cameras and flows together with Google Home. Overall, I haven't had any problems with ADT and it's much better than Vivint.

We've only had ADT for a year and there's been a couple sensor issues, but they've been really great at trying to fix it. I had a tech over the phone walk me through changing the sensor and replacing the batteries. They've been responsive and quick, and it's easy to contact them. There's usually somebody from technical support or customer service who can assist right away.
I like having the comfort of knowing that we have an alarm. If somebody wants to get in, they're gonna get in, but when I'm gone, it's secure enough to where I'll be notified. One time though, the alarm sensor went off and I wasn't in town, so I didn't know if somebody tried breaking in or not. Overall, I'm somewhat satisfied with ADT. If somebody was to ask who I use, I would say ADT and that I'm happy with them, but I wouldn't be a poster child for them.

I had a few doors left open and the alarm went off. ADT was very prompt and professional. They call me immediately and I take care of the problem if I left the door open. I like the price too. My parents had ADT and my sister's got ADT as well, all because of me.

The installers checked the house and they did what I told them I wanted to do. With the ADT system, I know what's going on even if I'm not at home. They're doing a good job, and I'm so happy that they joined with State Farm. That helps because I have State Farm.

I've only had to call ADT once and it was handled very promptly and everything went well. The system is doing great too. I feel very secure, and even for someone like me, I feel capable of arming it. I'm very happy. The tech also went over the app with me and I could use it, but I haven't had the need to do it. Overall, it's been a really neat experience for me and it was certainly easier than I had thought it would be.

When there's a storm and the power gets knocked out, the system doesn't work. Normally, the power comes back on, but while it's off, it'll say my security system is offline. Besides that, my house is secure and I feel protected. When my alarm goes off, ADT calls me right away, and I like that. I know that they are on their job, watching or listening. I have the doorbell camera, which is an added feature. I also got the vibration alarms on the windows downstairs, which is an added security on the doors (front, back and garage). I have the keypad downstairs and another one upstairs in my room as well, so I know what zone is open. I like the fact that I can look and see when my daughter opens what door, whether it's the garage, the front or the back door. All in all, I haven't had a bad experience with ADT, and I've recommended some people already.

When I first got ADT, it kept going off and I kept changing batteries. I was buying new batteries, but it would still go off. I finally called and got ahold of the service people. They came and changed out a lot of things. It's been perfect ever since. I like the little box. It's so easy for me to put my code in. One time, I went outside and didn't turn it off. I had the police coming to see me. I'm sure the system works because it's been tested. I would highly recommend ADT. When I go to bed, I don't worry about it. I turn it on and I feel safe.

Overall, ADT does a good job. There've been three upgrades. All those people were knowledgeable and professional. They seem to wanna help out. If I call up where I have some issues to replace batteries and some of my other units, they're always good about it. I had a couple of issues and they had to send some experienced people out. I have a standard big box unit that is at least 40 years old. They said, "Stick with it. It's the best thing going. It's old school." It's never broken down. I replace the battery every four years to it.
However, there was a time I referred a customer. They never called back after three attempts. The follow-up service wasn't good there. Also, at some point, I started seeing my prices go up dramatically. I did not pay attention to the contract I had when I first got started with them. After four years, I called to find out what was going on and see if I could get a better rate. I found out that what happened was, because I didn't re-up on a contract, they threw me in this category of somebody new without a contract. They overcharged me by 200%. They were apologetic when I brought it up. If I had received a letter, I would have paid more attention. I didn't see a warning sign after that but they stepped up and made amends.

I've had ADT for about a year and a half, and I've never had any problems with it. I love it. I'm not a computer literate person but I use the app and I'm able to set my alarm and take it off when I go and come. It's extremely easy. Also, I like the screen where I can check before I open the door. The cameras have great clarity unless I have bad weather. We've had a lot of snow lately, and sometimes, it's a little harder to see outside, but it's not the fault of the camera. It's the weather.

The sales rep and the installers were good. The sales rep was answered all my questions, and the installers showed me how the system worked. One thing though, because I called in and selected ADT, I was supposed to get some kind of Visa card, but I have not received anything yet.

The system is good. My only beef is that ADT has raised the price for our security outrageously. We're paying almost $75 a month and I don't like that part. We switched to Wi-Fi four years ago, and they keep raising the price even though we don't have anything extravagant. We have two sensors, the front door and our utility room door, and a motion detector in the house and the doors. It's not like we have a ring doorbell, cameras and all this other fancy stuff.

I love ADT. I've had great experiences with it so far. It recently saved my house from a house fire. My mom left something on the stove and left. I had the ADT fire and smoke alarm system. I was at work. They called the fire department who got there just in time. Great customer service. 10 out of 10.

ADT is a great product and that sense of security is worth it. The salesperson reached out and explained what all was involved and the pricing, which was most important, and explained it well. We felt comfortable with moving forward from there. We find the system very easy to operate. We use the app on our phone all the time. We've only had to go to the panel once, and that's when we accidentally set off the alarm. That has only happened once, so that was good. When we go to bed at night, I feel very confident, besides having two dogs, that our home is protected if, for some reason, somebody would try to break in. And when we're traveling, it's great to have that sense of security.

I've been with ADT for several years. I've known about it for several years and I always felt like it was the one for me to have, and everybody needs some security today. I like the system. It's doing the job. It alarms if you forget to put it on. If somebody is coming from another direction and your overnight alarm is not on, you're still gonna know by the chime that is going off. I've had a great experience with ADT. I like the system. I just wish it wasn't much more to add on the cameras. Other than that, I would highly recommend ADT. I recommended them to friends of mine years ago and they got it. They're happy with it.

ADT's service is good. About two years ago, I had cameras put in and upgraded. I had to change my security system because they went to digital Wi-Fi. I like the team at ADT. I just wish that the price would go down on the monitoring.

ADT's service has been good. The system does its job, and I'm happy. I'm not one of these technical detailed. I just turn it on, and shut it off. Everything's been good. I did call one time and a lady helped me. I couldn't get the system to work. It was just unplugged in the back of my unit that has TV. We did it over the phone and it took a while, but it was good. She was very nice.

My system went from wired to wireless. The guy who did it knew what he was doing as far as the thermostat. And that was before ADT had wireless cameras. I was gonna get cameras on the house with ADT, but they only had hard-wired cameras. The guy said, "Do you wanna be hard-wired?" I said, "No, it was taking too much to do it."

We moved into the house in 1999 and we got ADT within a year or two of that. When I have something, they always answer the questions and when I replaced the batteries, I called them up and they walked me through it. Also, I'm very satisfied with the features of the system. I upgraded it a while back, one of which was something they provided with, because it was upgrading the internet. And I upgraded three cameras they use internally, which had to be done because they were not compatible with the old system.

A few years back, they had to come out because I wasn't sure how to change the battery in the over-the-door sensor. Something wasn't working, and they came and found out what the problem was.

I've been with ADT for five years now and their system has been fine, so far. I like the security it brings, especially when I come home at night. We had to have a repair one time and they didn't mention that there was gonna be a cost. When they got here, there was a charge. They had to replace one of the sensor-type things. The techs who came out were fine. But they thought I knew, and I didn't know because they did not tell me and I wasn't too happy about that. But I feel comfortable with ADT and I feel secure.

Ridiculously long hold times for anything other than sales. Sold me equipment that fails, extremely painful to get someone to come fix it, finally cancelled and they want me to pay for a broken system.

I had ADT come and put a battery in my motion detector. The tech did good. I ordered the little battery from them but I was still charged $75 and that was expensive. If you have a dedicated customer, they should waver that a little bit.

I am in the military and got orders to move somewhere else. When I canceled my services with ADT they charged me 389 dollars for equipment installation fees. I never agreed to pay for that and they were still adamant in charging me those fees. After multiple calls to customer service and the managers at ADT they would not waive or drop the charges for something out of my control. As a member in the services defending my country I would be charged for something I did not agree to and not having the installment waived. Not fair at all for those giving their lives for the freedoms that allow billion dollar companies to scam and take money from those who ultimately give their life for. I would never recommend ADT ever and would not want others to go through the headache of unnecessary chargers for greedy businesses.

ADT worked with me about making sure I had all the windows and doors and entryways. We talked about those things and the tech went over those with me. That was a good reaction. I like that I was able to control everything on my iPhone and I could be away from the house. Everything is great.

I have had ADT security system for 9 years with no problems. Today I called to cancel our services due to finances. I was told that I had no choice but to pay an additional month due to it taking up to a month to turn services off. I spoke with multiple people with no help. I have paid every bill on time but just can not afford to continue services. Being a loyal customer means nothing to this company.

Let me tell you about this company. This company is run by nothing but frauds. From the second, I installed my equipment in my home in August 2021. My equipment never worked as it was designed. Not only was I lied to locally about my installation being free come to find out they charged me $900 for it is part of my nearly $5000 five-year contract, which is other nonsense that was not upfront.
My equipment triggered multiple false alarms, where the police came to my property when I was out of town mind you this was in freezing cold weather. The cheap motion sensors they installed in my home do not work when the temperature drops drastically so in the sunroom of my home it said that there was a break-in. There was no break in my city fined me nearly $1000 for multiple false alarms and also I was fine for not having a “alarm permit” to operate my residential alarm system. Now who in the right mind thinks you need a permit operate systems such as ADT. Adt should know the local laws and jurisdiction and pass that onto the client, but they don’t and they just want you to sign up.
It’s absurd to pay for this equipment that doesn’t work. None of the equipment I have in my whole house worked properly from day one. I've had nearly 10 different agents come to my home and fix equipment and keep replacing same Crap because it doesn’t work, never works. All Z wave lightbulbs I bought the smart stuff. None of it works. Breaks 2 days after the agent “fixes”…. Despite the fact that I’ve been paying this company for nearly 3 years monthly service and the ridiculous fee for this faulty equipment, they still say I owe them $3000 which is completely out of this world because this company has not only cost me thousands of dollars in fines and court cost illegal fees in my local jurisdiction, I now have a CRIMINAL RECORD stating that “failed to obtain an alarm permit” on my permanent records and this is all the fault of ADT and ADt.
Because of this, my home insurance premiums went up by nearly 14% because they saw that under my address I have a fine attached to my name and my address related to not having a permit. Which goes on by criminal record because it’s the same thing as any other type of a fine superior court fine. I have all documents to back this up from receipts to attorneys fees. Everything I have already with my own attorney going too bad for me, but I just want everybody else to know that this company is nothing but a nightmare and a scam it should be outed for the negligence And the outright fraud and deceit, and this company operates within.
To recap for day one the equipment did not work as designed within a month after having the equipment installed I had an agent come out to replace equipment that was not working correctly, and not only do you run out of space for your video clips all of the Z wave Equipment stop working and they never work as designed and they’ve charged me thousands of dollars for this equipment and they won’t listen to me no one on the telephone. Nobody listens to me to get anything done OK and this is why I’m coming here to write this everyone to see and hoping ADT reaches out to me because I have receipts for all of this, this company is a scam and will not protect you. In the event Your house actually gets broken into, your alarm won’t work because they say you owe them MORE money. This company is dangerous, it should be investigated by the FTC.

The first camera that we had thought ADT did not work well. It didn't record well. We had to upgrade the doorbell to a Google doorbell but it was not compatible with our panel. Otherwise the doorbell worked great. One thing I didn't like is that I talked to reps on many different occasions and let them know I would be moving and on what date. They kept saying they would call me as it grew closer to time. I talked to them on three separate occasions. They kept saying they would call me back when I was in my new home to see if I would like to start service with the new home. It wasn't until I was in my new home and I again told them no, we had other priorities, that they finally cancelled my service. Which meant my service cancelation went in late and I had to pay for a full other month of service for a house I didn't live in.

I want to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my account by ADT monitoring services. Despite multiple attempts to resolve billing discrepancies, I have encountered significant difficulties and inconsistencies. During a call on December 8th, 2023, I was promised a reduced monthly fee of $100, down from the original $144, but the call disconnected multiple times without resolution. Subsequent calls yielded further frustration, with transfers to managers resulting in prolonged wait times and increased confusion.
On January 9th, 2024, I spoke with an account manager who informed me that my outstanding balance had increased to $184, despite previous assurances of a discount. Subsequent calls on January 31st, 2024, confirmed I owed $195, with an offer to waive a $10 fee for February. I request a thorough review of my account and billing discrepancies. While I am willing to pay a fair amount for services rendered, I am concerned about the lack of accountability and transparency in resolving these issues.

Updated on 04/18/2024: When I had a technician come out, he said that one sensor was off and it needed to be replaced. So they replaced it and everything was fine. But a couple of months later, another sensor kept going off. There were times when I was coming home from vacation and the sensor would be going off. I didn't know how long it was going off. It could have been going off for 24 or 48 hours. And I have pets. Every time I would come home and that sensor would be going off, my cats would be hiding and shaking. So once again, I called them and their techs came out and fix it. I had over 10 technicians come out in the two years that I've had ADT and I've had some really good interactions with some of them. But they kept on doing the temporary fix.
When it came to the point where the alarm was waking me up once a week, I tried to figure out how I could just disconnect the whole system in general so it wouldn't wake me up. We stopped using it about a year and a half ago and we tried to get out of our contract. But they said to get out of our contract, we ha dto pay this amount of money. So we just deal with it. But when it started to go off twice in a week in the middle of the night, I called ADT and scheduled an appointment. I took off work because I was heated. I was waiting for them and when I called, they said they didn't have me scheduled for that day and that they had me scheduled for the next day. I don't know where the miscommunication was but I couldn't meet them on that day. So, I had to figure out when the next day I was off for them to be able to help me.
Finally, I got a technician in there and he explained to me that when I first started my service, they should have not upgraded my operating system because the new operating system that they gave me did not work with the old sensors. So I was screwed from the very beginning, which makes sense. It's sad that it took me almost three years to understand this and to figure it out because there were so many sleepless nights, restless nights, and a lot of anxiety involved. Most people get ADT to have that comfort and it gave me the exact opposite of what I wanted.
But ever since the last person that came, the alarm hasn't gone off and it has not woken me up. It's been almost 40 days with nothing but the plate is showing that the sensor is malfunctioning. It was green for the first two weeks where there's nothing wrong, but then it turned yellow, I was scared. It blinks yellow when it tells me that there's something wrong. But it still hasn't malfunctioned and freaked me out yet. So I'm happy with that and I'm not even going to jinx it. I'm not calling because it hasn't been going off. ADT did their best to support me by giving me a couple of kickbacks, but it was to the point where it's not even about the money. It was more about the peace of mind. Also, I have awesome cats and their personalities changed because of the way the alarms going off freaked them out. They're just not the same.
Original: I am extremely frustrated with this company! With the service! With the product! The fine print in the contract how they can change your bill at any time! Not only that you're in a three-year contract! My alarm wakes me up randomly in the middle of the night! I had techs come over. I explained to them my situation over and over! I can't win! It's 4:50 am and once again shot out of my sleep cause the dang alarm is beeping! I have spoke to so many people, I try to explain but keep getting the runaround!
I am tired, the alarm terrifies my family. They wake us up a few times a week! I am so scared. I can't go back to sleep and I just wanna cry every morning this happens! I can’t win. Had a meeting again to try to talk to someone Friday who can help but they never called me back during our scheduled time! Today is Tuesday and it happened twice since then! This alarm was supposed to give me comfort but it had given me the exact opposite! Please someone help me! I swear this is gonna be the death of me! I really think it's going to give me a heart attack! Please help, please help.I begging you ADT, please! This is my final cry for help!

I went on vacation and my alarm system went off the whole time I was on vacation. When I came back home and tried to have ADT fix it, they wouldn't even come and fix it. They just kept putting Band-Aids on it and it ain’t been fixed since last year in October. They want me to clean it off and do this and do that. But it's still doing the same. It's been sitting there all day going off saying window open. I open and close it, and it still ain't done anything. If they ain’t going to fix it, I'm just going to try to find somebody else.
Whenever I would I call them, they want me to go out there and mess with the sensor. I got old technology from some other company and when I switched to ADT, the tech came out and he put the new technology. But it didn't link up at all. It never had ever since I've had it and I don't know why they didn't replace the sensors because that stuff is not working.

I've had ADT for so long. I got it when my house got broken into some years ago. I just got another motion detector and a camera for the basement added on about a week ago. I did the installation myself. They just helped me connect it to my internet. I use the app. It worked good since I upgraded. I had the hard lines hooked to the telephone. When I upgraded to wireless, it was better. Overall, ADT's price could be a little cheaper, but the product is really good.

When I was browsing through the app, I wound up making a mistake and disabled stuff when the individual came out and set everything up. They tried to set me back up, but the tech had to come back out and put me back online. When I talked to the rep, he was good and everything was clear. But the camera bell rings outside and that's weird. If it's ringing outside, how would I know if it's ringing unless I have my notification on my phone? So in case if I don't have the notification on, I wouldn't know if somebody out there was ringing the bell.

ADT is fine other than this morning. It took me like three times to set it because I would arm it and it would disarm itself. Other than that, using the app is pretty easy. The only thing is the perimeter extends out so far. I get a large number of vehicles that's going by when I can take it off the road and just hit it to the edge of the driveway or something. I can't figure that out. Also, the price could be cheaper. When I had it in 2018 in Fort Knox, they told me the price was never gonna go up. They said it's only gonna be $37. But here, it is all the way up to $60 and it's been creeping up constantly. Management needs to take a look at that.

I upgraded my ADT system and I thought I could do cameras, but my internet uptake was not enough, so they couldn't put cameras in my house, nor in my mother's house. But I recently got outside cameras. I can go to my TV, click on PC, and I can look at the three cameras that I have. So until I can get enough internet with uptake that's enough for the cameras so I can put them on my phone and look at them whenever I want to, I'll just have to make do with that. Besides that, the cameras are working properly and I've not had any problems with them.
ADT's reps were wonderful with the installation of the cameras. My house is built where when you go to a certain part of the house, it's narrow over there. So one of the guys who came out had to call somebody else. There were three of them there trying to get the installation in and I was very pleased with how persistent they were and how professional they were. They didn't tear up anything, but they installed my cameras and connected them to the box.
Other than that, the sales representative answered the questions I had. I was thinking one price and there was a price for the cameras, then there's a monthly monitoring fee, which was my misunderstanding. But that caused no problems as far as I was concerned. When I called them about something about the cameras, they were very helpful, too. I followed whatever instructions they gave me and that was good. So I've not had any problems with service or monitoring, because I know the cameras are not monitored. If I need to record something on them, I'll just call ADT and they'll walk me through it. ADT's price has gone up but they've been reasonable with their price increases, so I'm not upset about that. I would be upset about how much the prices go up if I compare them to somebody else. But I like ADT so I stay with them.

The ADT system has been working fine. There were a few times that it went down, but primarily because of Wi-Fi issues. I just called tech support then they walked me through what to do, and we took care of it. We use it every time we leave home. We have our dog inside and we check on him from time to time. We also have cameras outside. They're on the front porch and the back porch, and we monitor that sometimes. We enjoy the service. Their website is great, too. Aside from that, ADT has been very understanding about our late payment. Our bank account had gotten compromised and we're waiting for the bank to fix that for us.

ADT is always good and I like the system's features. My house is laid out weird, so if a piece of toast gets a little brown, smoke always goes down the hallway. We have the smoke detector, so I'm always afraid of that going off. It went off one time during a power outage. We have hot water and we were using the showers. And the steam down the hall set the alarm off. So it went right to the fire department, which is a good safety thing. Fortunately, there was power outage and I was able to call the fire department. They didn't get the alarm right away because their system was down. They turned around and went back before they came in.
But it makes me nervous, so I make sure I open the kitchen door out into the garage when I'm making a few pieces of toast for the kids in a row. Nobody ever can seem to answer my question if could I stick a clear cap over it or is there a way to disable it just to cook a turkey without having to have my windows and the garage door open.
Other than that, the price is getting to me. It keeps going up. Also, I have tinnitus and if I was sitting right under this alarm box and that were to go off, I might not even hear that. So what I do is I have my outside alarm. I had one of those outside blue and white lights that would beep and it's loud. My neighbors would always running over when I set it off by mistake when I first had it. So one time when my alarm went off and I was sitting right here in the house, it was a defect, for some reason it made it seem like the garage door was going up. And I was sitting in my bed reading, right next to my alarm box and I never heard it. The phone rang and it was ADT.
So I realized I wouldn't hear that in the house. I took the thing off the house and I keep that in my bedroom because it flashes this enormous bright LED lights you ever saw. I figured even if I’m sound asleep that's going to wake me up and it's so loud like it's made to blast me. It sounds bizarre and I wish they could change the sound of the alarm. But even when I go for my hearing tests, I can't do those hearing tests where they go beep like that. They have to do a separate sound and do three beeps. That way I can tell the difference. But I'm pleased with ADT overall and I feel good that they're there.

I recently reached out about an issue with the app and they were having a hard time, initially. But the person transferred me to the next department and they resolved it. It worked out fine. The only thing that they didn't tell me was we don't get text message alerts when arming and disarming and they should say that upfront. The app will send you a notification, not a text message. Also, I have a second pad that I can work from that keeps going on standby and stays illuminated the whole time when it's on standby. I told the lady that helped me with the app and she said she would make a note. And I don't like the monthly. It's too high for senior citizens.

In 2013, I had them come to the house and they hardwired the house. They didn't have all the wireless stuff as they have now. Recently, I had them come in and do a wireless connection for another home I have down south and we talked over how they would put the sensors on the windows, the doors, and with the panel box and access to the panel box. We tested it and I was able to add another individual to the system who could have access to the home when I'm not there in case of emergency. Also, I can now control the front door and my heating and air conditioner remotely. They normally test the system and notify me that the system is responding. They also remind me about self-check.

I feel very safe and comfortable with ADT. The gentleman that I spoke to, the one who came to the home and installed the system was extremely helpful and patient. For one, in establishing my passcode. I failed to do that properly. With his assistance, I became more comfortable doing that and everything's in place, and I haven't looked back. I've had two issues and they were immediately resolved. A battery needed to be replaced and they sent the battery to me. I also experienced problems installing it. I called, they walked me through it, and again, everything was fine.

Signing up with ADT was easy. Any time I've talked with them or spoken with them, they've been very helpful. My box was acting up. They sent someone out. The first time, it was a wait. But they took care of everything by the second time. They were saying they were gonna charge me. I said, "How would you charge me?" But they rectified that problem. I was pleased with the outcome. I'm satisfied.

Our ADT system is good. It works well. The guy that set it up was fine. Any time I've had any problem and I called, I was always helped. He was pleasant and helpful. I only had a day for him to install it. When I bought the property, I was going back to New York. He was good and explained stuff to me.

I had to call on ADT when we had a little mix-up. I'm on hospice service and my daughter thought since we had a hook-up with ADT that the call would be referred directly to hospice. That wasn't done, but it's done now. It took that call to put it into effect. They came promptly after that call, and I've had no problems with the system.

Beware! Get everything in writing and take lots of notes. ADT refused to cancel my account even with multiple requests beginning in November of 2022. They were unable to monitor my house for well over a year due to all of the wires being cut during a whole house window replacement beginning the last part of 2022, but they signed me up for a new plan without my knowledge. I requested that my account be closed multiple times through phone conversations, emails, and letters sent to corporate. I took time off from work to have a technician come to my home to pick up materials, but he did not show. Later, I was informed that nobody needed to get anything and that the person who scheduled it was mistaken.
I was also told at different points along the way that everything was taken care of, only to discover the next month that I was still being billed. Even though they were no longer able to monitor my home and were asked to terminate services over and over, they continued to call me, billed me each month, threatened to send my information to debt collectors, and to report me to the credit bureau. Over a year later, on January 22, 2024, the balance on my account was finally waived and my association with ADT was finished. It was a long and stressful journey. You might be better off picking another service, or even monitoring your own home. It takes a really long time for the police to show up anyway when your alarm goes off with ADT.

This company literally ruined my life. I got security service with ADT. Paid them in full every month. Initially they told me there was no cancelation fee if you are moving out of your house. I called them the month I moved out. I cleared all my bills and asked them if everything is taken care of. They said everything is good and up to date. After one year they sent me a bill for 1200 dollars in "cancellation fee". When I called them they said, "sorry you were misinformed and you still have to pay as per your contract". This is after one year.
I had also moved out of that house by that time and didn't receive the bill on time. They sent this bill to the collection agency and ruined my credit score at the same time as I was trying to take out a home loan. When I called them, they blackmailed me into saying they will not remove this from my credit score. I didn't have a choice but to pay them this fraudulent bill in order to fix my credit, ended up paying 1.5% more on mortgage rate and also paid their fake 1200 charge. Please, please be very careful with this company. I have filed a complaint against them to consumer financial protection bureau. Their contact number is 855-411-2372. ADT has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Do not go with ADT. I was under contract with ACKERMAN who provided GREAT customer service. I later learned WITHOUT NOTICE that ADT bought ACKERMAN and now I am moving and trying to cut my service off. I was passed to 7 CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS and spent over 1 hour and 15 minutes of my time on the phone being passed around on hold to NOBODY that would help. ADT is saying since I was under contract with ACKERMAN I am under contract with ADT and I said show me where my signature is on an ADT contract. They cannot produce an ADT contract with my signature and now they say in order to shut off service I owe over $600. THE POOREST COMPANY AND SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND ADT!!!!

About two weeks ago we have installed ADT security system to our house. Works as we expected; though the price was a kind of off. After looking into contract and bill, we have realized that some (many) things were listed in "added techs":

Never being installed (at all!) and it's in the bill and I was charged; Moreover, REAL PROTECTION SERVICES:

[VID] - Video Storage Plan Included
Real Protection Services Subtotal $56.99
All are listed in the bill and I was charged, however, there is no camera or such to have above listed surveillance and video. Did call to ADT customer service twice, Spoke to Billing Dept twice; NO RESPONSE! Very very disappointed and not happy! They have deceived me, overcharged and NO whatsoever, respond back to my calls. Listen, people, before even talking to a tech, SEE and DISCUSS all charges and billing; They will fool you, deceive and never talk to you. Very bad. Regret going with them and not with Slomin's or others.

The sales rep with ADT was very pleasant but the person that came to our home to install the system was exceptionally rude. He ridiculed our home. If we had to have ADT installed again at another residence, he would not be welcome in our home. Where he got the best signal was smack-dab in the center of our front living room wall. He didn't use common sense when he was trying to do placement of the monitor that goes on the wall. Plus there was no plug at the center of a living room wall. The plug would be done at the baseboard level. I told him no. He then wanted to put it smack-dab in the middle of our dining room wall. I told him no. It was put on the kitchen wall near the kitchen counter, which is acceptable.
There have been times where the alarm accidentally got triggered, but ADT was very prompt in calling and wondering if everything was okay. If the monitor has a poor internet connection, a yellowish amber color triangle lights up. I have called them on that before. The guy that came out to replace that monitor was very professional and efficient. I was gonna cancel ADT after our first contract with them was up for renewal. They wanted to know why we were canceling. I told them it was too much money for something that we were not using. They were very kind to lower our monthly bill so that we would not cancel.

ADT has been reliable. The system has a lot of different features that you can access. I don't use them all, but I know they're there if I decide to do that. My wife is here alone. It gives me a peace of mind that there's an extra layer of protection. I've had the keypad fail before and we've had to get assistance on getting that repaired. The guys they send out do well. But once your contract expires, you become responsible for a lot of the repairs yourself. Once you go into contract with them, they're willing to take care of things, but there is always some type of charge they do after the first year.

We have ADT on three of our properties. We've had them for about 50 years. On one property, the installation took seven hours. Part of the problem was everything now is run through the internet. The internet on that property is very slow so it took a long time to upload everything and get it set up on the app. I monitor the systems through my app. I get frustrated because it seems they're always doing an update on the app. Typically, it would show ADT, and I pull up the property and disarm it if I need to for a guest. It was changed today, which is a little frustrating.

ADT offers excellent service. I went straight with them since we already had the technology in the house I bought, and the reps were excellent in helping me get started and connecting me to my house. Installers had to come in and put another smoke detector, and they were fine.

ADT is very reliable, and I like the general ease of operation and the sense of security that the system provides. It was in place when we purchased our house, so I just continued the service, but I also added a door chime ringer to the Nest. The installation was seamless and very efficient.

ADT has been around for years, and they've got good customer service and a good price. When I call, they're always quick to answer my questions as well as to assist. I don't have to wait on the line and get shifted around, which is awesome. When I have to make arrangements for my payment (because sometimes, my payment is late), they're good about that. The system has been good too.

I wasn't happy where ADT put my system. But it was the most common spot to put it. The tech said, "We put it in a lot of houses like that." I said, "Oh, okay. All right then." Also, every time I shut off the alarm, within 15 minutes it would come on again. That happened for an hour. I called ADT and said somebody's had to get out here and fix it, and they did. They got somebody out here within 25 minutes, and they fixed the alarm. I understand they gotta hire people. Hopefully, they can improve their services to the customers. And I'm happy about that. So, things have been good.

The price is decent. ADT gave me a good deal and they're well-known. So, I went with them. The reps were good as far as telling me what they would do. The installers came in, put up the stuff and talked through it and showed us how it would work. I had a battery go out on my system, but they came out and fixed that for me. I called them and told them what was going on, and they set up a date and time. They understood what was going on and they talked us through it. They were committed to what they had to do to get things back on track.

I've been very pleased with ADT all these years. We've had to get them to change some of the keypads. They had to switch one upstairs and downstairs because our system is so old. The tech just came in and got it done. Fast and efficient.

ADT provides the security. They do their job professionally. When the alarm goes off and I don't get to the keypad soon enough, they call on the phone and ask me for my password to make sure that I am the person that took the alarm. A lot of times, we'll walk right by the keypad and not even think about it and it sets off the alarm, and within seconds, the phone rings to verify that I'm person that's in the house. Their price is also reasonable.

ADT is great at what they're doing. They really are an alert. If I make an error and even open up my door, it goes off. I'm satisfied with their service. But if they can give me a reduction in price, that would be good.

I've had very positive experience with ADT and I would recommend them to anybody. They have come out a couple of times and repaired equipment or replaced batteries, and answered my questions. It was great. I find the app very helpful.

I've had ADT come out to change batteries or something had gone wrong with something. They came and put a new one in. I had to change a contact and maybe the motion detector. They were very knowledgeable. I always ask questions when they're here. I like that I can turn the system on and off from my phone.

Sometimes, the alarm goes off if I forget to turn it off when I walk outside. But I hear the beep and then I go and turn it off. There was one incident in all these years that I've been on it that the police department notified my daughter-in-law. But that was just that one time. ADT works beautifully if you set it correctly. I would like to have the cost reduced though because I'm a widow and it's killing my budget here lately.

I've had to have ADT come out to change the camera. The camera wasn't working. We couldn't get the camera to stay hooked onto the door. My husband had to keep putting it up there. It wouldn't lock in. They had to come and set it up. They charged us for them to come out and do what they should have done when they were there in the first place. The doorbell camera also has a delay. But eventually, you get to see who's at your door. The overall product seems to be good. I'm satisfied. But, it's too expensive.

I like that I can access the system from my phone and a couple of times that the alarm did go off, they were extremely responsive. ADT is the most reliable and fastest reacting alarm service that I know. The initial purchase of all the different things was definitely expensive, but you get what you pay for.

ADT is a solid company so I trusted their ability to do what I needed done. It's been several years since we got our system. It was very smooth. They came out and did what they promised. It was done right the first time. I like the fact that we can turn it on and off remotely with our phone. I haven't set the alarm off coming in has also been pretty good.

ADT is based in the United States and that was impressive. I like the equipment and the only thing that’s a little disappointing is that they rely on Google Home for the cameras. The panel, the sound detectors, the smoke detectors and the fire alarm system all work through ADT and they’re perfect. If I drop something too loud, it triggers the sound detector and the alarm goes off. Within a few seconds, they call and if you don't respond immediately, they send the police or the fire. ADT did a great job of installing the cameras but they are problematic because it’s a Google product and you have to have Google Home, which I wasn’t a user of until now. I had a Gmail account from when I was a kid but that was 40 years ago and I never even touched the account until now.
Everything you do, you're buying a Google product. So half the time, I'm asking what ADT has. If I go into my ADT account, I could turn the lights off in my living room because it's a Luta lighting system and that works with ADT. It's great and I love it. But there's nothing on your ADT account that has to do with the cameras. Invariably, the camera and doorbell batteries burn out and you have to recharge them. Even though they're wired to the system and wired to electricity, it doesn't seem that it recharges the batteries. I have to take the doorbell off the wall and plug it into the house to charge it. And it'll last for four months. I have a camera right now at the back and it says it's not getting any Wi-Fi signal. But it always gets a Wi-Fi signal. I keep looking outside to see if it's still there. Unless ADT takes back control of their camera products, I'm gonna be reluctant to stay with them beyond the contract, which is five years.
I like the service. It is great. But I hate dealing with Google. I keep asking when ADT is taking the cameras and they keep saying that something is in the works for them to issue their own cameras. It would make sense. Then it's all tied into one system. I can go to the panel and I could see things. The ADT product and all the things that are connected to ADT work beautifully. It's just the cameras are like a separate entity. If I get an alarm and if somebody were to break the main window trying to break into the house, it wouldn't be the camera that would do anything. It would be the glass break detector, which is an ADT product.
You wanna see who's at the door. And you wanna know what's going on in the backyard and on the street. I wish ADT would improve on how they are providing the cameras and take that service back because that's the most important part of the service. So it's creating bad will for ADT because they have to deal with all the issues with Google. And we got tons of stuff in that house that feeds off the Wi-Fi. So those cameras are spinning and you may need to see what's going on immediately. If the camera's working, you'd be able to see who's out there. I'm satisfied with ADT’s service but not with how the cameras work.

I have been a customer for ADT Security systems for over 20yrs..., With that being said I have noticed with in the last year I have been having monitoring problems actually lack thereof.., Early Jan my alarms went off in the middle of the night.., No call or text from ADT. I let that go.., Jan 18th my alarms went off for hours during the day while I was out..., No call or text from ADT. This time my poor dog was in the house being tortured by the alarms.., When I call ADT to ask, "How come you did not call or text" they had zero explanation. They blamed it on me or my lack of knowledge of the system. Funny.
In 20 yrs only twice did the alarm go off and both times they called and I turned it right off with no problem..., I asked to speak with a manager and they refused. Now they are just flat out ignoring me taking my money and not providing a service that they are supposed to be providing. In my book that is like stealing. I want a manager to explain to me why they do not actually monitor. :(

ADT quoted me a price, and then when the guy installed it, he said the price was a little bit more. They said that I need a digital connection. The battery went out and I had some problems putting the battery in for myself because I'm 65 years old. They shipped me a battery, and then I had to self-install it, which, was a problem for me. It took me a while to get it installed. Then, they were talking about sensors and they said that they would have to charge me to send somebody out to fix the battery, which was inconvenient for me. So, we had to determine it was the battery and not the sensors. So I'm worried that if the sensors go bad, I am gonna have to try and do something to fix them. Other than that, I feel safe having the ADT system in place.

I received something from State Farm that they have a special agreement with ADT. I called and we updated our system to be able to incorporate it with the app. We also updated our sensors. Originally, for our system, you needed to have the analog phone line. This system now works with cell towers. Somebody could cut your phone line and it wouldn't have worked before. But now it's independent.
When you get a nuisance alarm and the alarm goes off at 2 o'clock in the morning, it's not fun. We had a nuisance alarm at 3 o'clock in the morning. I called and they said the soonest they could get anybody out was two weeks. I called ADT's 1-800 number and they helped me. We disabled the sensor temporarily. The system has got some bugs in it. It takes a while to shake it out. The more sensors you have, your odds of having something one thing are big. Also, the technicians are busy people. The cameras are expensive too compared to Ring.
