ADT is great. I've had them for 30 years. They're very quick to respond. If we set off the alarm, they're calling. If they don't get ahold of me, they call my son. We've been very pleased so we have no reason to change. It's worked for us. I've had them do the control panel recently. The technician was very helpful. He gave us a little Google Dot-type thing and set that up for me. He couldn't have been nicer.

The service has been okay and the features of the system are more than what I had with the old one. I had an issue over the app where we weren't able to use the pulse to arm and disarm the system but they got it resolved. The system does what it's supposed to do and it seems like they monitor it pretty good.

I've had ADT since 1991 and when I built a new house, they installed my new system for free. I added the wireless to part of my system when the flooring came to install a new floor and cut wires to my ADT. They were very understanding. There were times when I had to call and have them come out because my battery backup wasn't working correctly and they came out and put a new battery in it. Also, any time I need new lawn signs or anything like that, I just call them and they send them out for free. I have no problem with ADT at all. They're really good and they worked with me so I could keep the system.

The installer wasn't that much of a professional. He was weird because he laid all his tools out, took off for a while, then came back. He drilled up to put the door sensors in, but he went right up through my roof. The supervisor had to come out and fix that. We changed out the Wi-Fi connector to wireless. It was quick. The guy was sharp. He knew what he was doing. But I have one issue. We were sitting here, watching TV, and the keypad went crazy. I had to call ADT to ask them what was going on because I couldn't get cleared. It wasn’t giving a code. They cleared it on their end. But I don't understand why they said there was something wrong with my wireless connection. It was weird because I was streaming on television so how could it have been the wireless connection?
Overall, I would recommend ADT. They're a good company. I like the system. I can get to it remotely. At first, I had some bugs because it was like the wireless. The modem kept turning on when I hardwired the cameras in. What I don't like is I can't access the modem from a computer. I like to be able to go in there and turn things off and on. But ADT put firmware in there to keep people out of it for security.

We have ADT's Pulse package and I can do most everything online. If I want more yard signs or window stickers, all I have to do is call and they'll provide them for free. I was a little nervous about the landline being the conduit for the alarm so we added in a wireless option, put in extra sensors and an extra speaker because we couldn't hear the alarm in some of the remote parts of the house. As we've made additions, we put an elevator in the house. I wanted to make sure that door was alarmed too. The technicians have always been good. They find out what I need, and if they think they have a better suggestion, they make it to me. They've always come on time, done their work efficiently and left on good terms. We've been happy with the service so we've kept it.

It's always better to have a system, something that's monitoring you while you're asleep. ADT makes me feel more secure that I've got something watching my front door and for fire. I feel good when I'm ready to go, I hit the button, and it arms. When I come home, I don't have any problems going on. It's been good with the technicians. I've had them come to do various things and check the system. I had a battery problem one time. My pad needed to be replaced as well. The only thing that I'm not liking about it is it's expensive compared to some other things that I might be able to get. But I stay with it because I've had it a long time and I trust it.

Todd, our agent, did a good job, and the system works very good like it's supposed to. When I leave, we know that the house is gonna be secure. I'd tell people I like ADT and that it'd be very worth it if they want a safe house.

ADT is easy to deal with. I've used them in over three residences over the last 20 years and I've been very satisfied at each location. The agents have been excellent, both the local ones as well as those on their 800 numbers. Any time I dial the number where I need either technical assistance or I need to get an agent with regard to an alarm, it's very fast to get in contact with a representative. They are competent. The equipment functions very well too. When it doesn't function, they repair it very quickly. I also like the ADT Pulse. I like the ability to use my smartphone to regulate the alarm system.
I don't receive emails on my phone all the time and ADT used to send me text notices when the system was down. But they stopped doing that. It does me no good when I'm not at home for them to send me an email that I only get on my desktop when I've requested text notifications and I cannot change it no matter what I do. That's a little irritating. Also, the expense keeps going up. They could do more to try to contain that monthly charge.

I had experience with other alarm systems and wasn't satisfied with them. I came back to ADT and they've been very helpful to me. I appreciate what they do and how they treat their customer. ADT will always be number one with me.

My wife is happy with ADT. However, the last communication that I had with them did not go too well. I have a camera that's out at my garage. I called the helpline to get somebody with technical expertise to walk me through it. They told me to go to the website, follow the instructions on the website and that would fix my problem. Then they hung up. I did everything that the website said. I called them back to let the man know that it did not work. He told me that he would give me a call back. It has now been 90 days but he has not called me back. It seems like the tech at night seems to be too busy to indulge and give more help as I was told that they were before. But all the other customer service reps that I have spoken to in the past have been able to help me without any problems, getting me to the right people.
As of right now, I'm not able to see anything out of that one camera which is the main camera. We would like to add more but because of the problem that we have with that one in getting it to set up and stay all the time, we have decided not to. We're in the process of looking for maybe a different system. But everything else is great - the monitoring and the locking and unlocking of the doors. They send it by the app. Seeing the camera when it works has been great as well. If you start kicking the door, that alarm is gonna slow you down.

I've been a client of ADT for so long. When I moved my residence to another side of town, I still kept it. I just got an upgrade and the rep put these things on my window that I don't need. I want ADT to take those little buzzers. He got them on every window and I get sick of it. They would say the window is open. I have bars on my window already. But he still put those on there. I recently got the windows. They don't close as tight with that on it. It's just a fraction of an inch but it makes a difference. Because the window doesn't seem as tight as it was, I could hear the outside better than I did before, which I didn't want to hear. Other than that, I like the idea that you're not gonna open any of the entry doors and I don't know it. If I look on my phone, the system would say, "Front door open. Upstairs door open," and exactly what time. Since I've had it, I feel secure in here.

My ADT system and Ring cameras work awesome together. I've used the system every day. I like that it tells the door, the back door or the window is open. I set the alarm at nap time and the windows and doors are all secured too. So, I'm pleased with it.

ADT's rep set everything up and they called me. The turnaround time was three days and the package that I got included the backdoor and the front cameras. It also didn't take them long to do the installation. Plus, any time I call, if I have an issue, they assist me on what to do. It's just me and my daughter at home, so with ADT, our house is very protected. But sometimes I have to take the doorbell off and charge. I don't know why I charge it and I would like something different where you don't have to charge.

We love ADT. We're very pleased with it. We did add a few things to it. We got a backyard camera, sensors on every single window and a glass break sensor, but a few windows were included. We have a lot of windows because our house has an addition on it. Then, we also added the little key fob sensor so I can turn the alarm off or on from the car in the driveway if I forget. Then, we got the security panel that's up in the house, and a fire alarm. I feel like it's more than enough. We live in a safe neighborhood, but we wanted something for peace of mind in case we start traveling.
We've had ADT for just a couple of months. Their guy was on time and very efficient when he came out to do the installation. He was very informative. He knew what he was talking about. He had to come back. He returned the visit quickly and got everything finished up. He was very polite, took his shoes off, and was respectful. Everything we've dealt with with ADT has been great. Everybody's been super friendly with us. Even the people we dealt with from the very beginning on getting appointments scheduled were very informative.
Everything works great and I like the alertness of it. We have our screen, the volume turned all the way up, so if a window gets opened during the night or a door gets opened, we can hear it. The sensors are so touchy and I like that because the door gets open and I hear it in my bedroom. As far as pricing, I wish they did a veteran's discount because my husband's a retired marine at 25 years. Other than that, it's not an astronomical pricing. It's reasonable. We're really happy with the system. We've already told people that they should get the package that we got with it. We've already referred ADT to some friends.

The few times that I've had to talk with the ADT reps, they've been very responsive and helpful. The service has been very good. The alarm system seems to work very well. I feel confident that the home is secure when we're not around.

When they first came, they told us a certain price, but when the guy came to put our ADT in, it was a whole other ball game. It cost me twice as much money. They put extra things that they said that I needed. In hindsight, I probably didn't need them. But when I burn my bacon and my alarms go off, they call my house right away. They do that regularly.

The ADT person is coming tomorrow between 3:00 and 4:00 to fix the issue because right now, I'm not able to put the alarm on stay home or go away kind of thing. They couldn't do it online and it needed someone to come and do it. The problem came on when the USI had a repair breakdown and it took a longer time before they could set it up right. It's been several weeks now but I'm hoping that things will work out fine. Other than that, I like ADT. Since I'm an older person, I like to have the alarm on.

The installation went quickly. Also, the system is easy to use. I would cut it on and off. When I come in, I've been gone, I know that nobody entered the house. When I lay down to go to sleep, I know that I'm protected by it. It gives me a bit of comfort.

Everything is great with ADT. I have the alarm system and they put on the yard signs. Whether you turn your alarm on or not, just knowing that you have one would make people move on to the next house because they're not sure if the alarm is on. They wouldn't take a chance on it.

Their package is good, but it needs more camera, like one in the backyard. It's gonna cost more money, but I hope they're gonna make it cheaper by the time. But the system is working good. I have access to it from my cellphone to watch who's in front of my house or who's knocking on the door.

I rebooted my router and it threw the ADT system out of whack. ADT had to come out and reset all of my settings on the system. Also, I had to replace batteries on my smoke detector. With my older system they used to send batteries at no charge. But this one, I had to go out and buy batteries. These are lithium batteries. They're not as easy to find as I thought. And I'm not a young person. So, I had to get on the step ladder and take the cover down. I didn't like having to do that. Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

The fact that it was a complete installation by ADT at no charge with only the maintenance fee made it possible for us to go ahead and have the installation done. Also, the gentleman who did the installation answered all my questions. The installation was quick, easy, and unobtrusive. The system functions quite well exactly as was spoken. I just wish that there weren't a separate camera outside. But other than that, it's giving me a sense of security. I can look to see who has been in my backyard and my front yard when I'm not home.

The service with ADT started out wonderfully but during COVID, it went downhill. The last time I had the techs out though, they made up for all the bad doings. The system wasn't working. There were sensors that for some reason wouldn't connect properly so I had to force the alarm to be set. It would go off at different times. At that time, I was taking care of my husband who had small-cell lung cancer and I had my hands full. I told ADT I wanted someone to come out and fix it but it was a continuous runaround. They lost a lot of their good workers and were very short-staffed and didn't have people to come out and do the work that needed to be done. But when they started raising the price, I told them to take it out. I'm done with it. I can't use it anyway and I'll be darned if I'm gonna pay more money just to keep the thing plugged in but it doesn't work. I can't keep it on alarm without worrying about it going off for no reason at all.
The gal that I finally spoke to was very apologetic and said they were sending someone out to take care of that and that I should not have had to go through that for this length of time. She said it would be taken care of and they would put my monthly fee back to the original monthly fee when I signed up, and that she hoped I would decide to stay with them. They sent somebody perfect out. He was just the way it used to be and fixed everything, and I never got charged for it. It’s been good so far and I was very pleased.

ADT is a good company to work with. I'm happy with their business. They're proactive, friendly, and they try hard to give a good job. I recommend ADT to people all the time. It's a reasonably priced alarm system and we have two of them. We have one in our garage and one in our home.

I have the old system and the quality and price are good. I recently contacted them for a technician service because one of the batteries on the main panel went off. I ended up paying for the battery, but they gave me a credit. I'm happy about that.

My brother is in the Air Force and he feels pretty comfortable with ADT. He's quite pleased with it. When I leave here and go back to Chicago, I'm also comfortable with it.

I knew what my expectations were, and ADT met them. In some cases, exceeded them. The installer was very informative. He gave me some examples of things. That was good. I love the Ring doorbell. The problem is the design on it sucks for a 70-year-old woman with poor eyesight because when the batteries go dead as mine were, I couldn't see underneath the little screw to get the thing off to do anything about it. And I would love to have somebody be able to come out and take care of that stuff for me. I'd even be willing to pay to get it done. I miss having the doorbell working. Doorbell works, camera doesn't. But it's very secure. It's there when I need it. I got the app on my phone, which is cooler than people can even know. There have been times when I forgot to set the security alarm and I was in the middle of nowhere, and I could grab my phone and set the security alarm. That is so handy.

We liked the price we got at the time. ADT's rep wasn't a high-pressure salesman, and the installers were good. We had a technician come out and take care of the issue. Everything has been satisfactory.

I'm really happy with ADT. I have had it for about 10 years. I love it and I've recommended a lot of people to it. Everybody has been very cooperative. Any part I needed, if they couldn't send it out, they came out to fix it. I didn't have any problems at all. Getting in contact is easy. I just call the customer care number and I get someone right away. The features in my service package are not hard to use. Which is perfect for me because I don't like difficult things, and I feel very safe when it's on. I keep it on all the time since I live alone. I like when I walk in the door and the buzzer goes off automatically. I'm very pleased with the appearance of the system and I'm happy to have it. It's an older model and I really should upgrade it but at this particular time, I can't, financially.

There was a bit of misunderstanding of what I had to pay in the beginning. Other than that, ADT's rep was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person. When I've had to do troubleshooting online, people have been very helpful and patient. I appreciate that part of the service. The quality is adequate, as long as the price stays where it's at because I'm retired.

The package I got has everything I need. I wanted the motion sensors and the door things and then, I added a couple of sensors at one point. I've had nothing but positive experiences with ADT. When you call them, you speak to someone in America. They always have the right answer and I never have to call back. It's always resolved.

The reps are always pleasant and helpful. If I have an issue, they're quick to resolve it. So it's always a pleasant interaction. When the installation crew was here, they were very efficient and pleasant. They showed up on time. But my price went up a little bit and I was a little surprised by that.

I have the ADT alarm system. I set the alarm when I leave the house, and I set the alarm at night. If anybody is intruding from the outside, the alarm will go off. Sometimes, I've had a false alarm when we've had a power outage. But they took care of those things. I've never had any problem. They'd call and I'd get a message from them. They do what they're supposed to do. I'm quite satisfied.

Extremely bad service over the 10 year life of the service. Talking to a person is almost impossible, they provide zero help with their equipment once installed, and everything takes extreme patience to work with them. We have gone 6 months at a time with no service several times. We have spent literal hours on hold with them. There is NO such thing as a call back no matter what they say. It took me 25 minutes+ to cancel, you have to speak to 4 different departments to have it take effect. This is the worst company I have ever worked with in my 55+ years of life!

We had a system that triggered, and ADT sent someone out and adjusted it. We have four garage doors and they were numbered incorrectly, so they fixed those. We were very pleased with that. I tried calling about the Nest camera systems because we have all of those and I was trying to get information about how to integrate that to see if it's one bill for recording the camera. But I never could get an answer from anybody. And I couldn't understand the accent. I don't know who I was talking to and where they were from, but the communication was off. We've had opportunities to change, but we're very happy with what we have and the service. So, short of something bad happening, we're not changing.

We've had some contacts with ADT in the past and they've always been very nice and professional. When we upgraded the panel, the guy came out and did that. We also upgraded the battery system and the tech deleted that. We got a better system. They're good folks and always treated us right. What’s on our cellphones to set the alarm and turn it on and off are very easy to work with. The signs outside were starting to show a little bit of wear on them and I was gonna get on the website and try to find out a way to get some new signs to post around. Other than that, everything's good. We've had a very good experience with them.

We had a power failure here earlier this year and the ADT guy came out and he was just fantastic in installing and explaining everything to us to get our system back up. ADT was on time and did a great job. I recommend ADT for your safety and your family.

Several years ago signed up with ADT. The cost for equipment was almost $4,000.00. The monthly price was about $50.00/ mo for monitoring. The monthly bill increased over time to $80.00/mo and equipment was faltering and if you called ADT, it was almost $100.00 for them to even come to your home. We decided to end our monitoring service. I was on the phone for hours with a rep who used every tactic known to god and man to keep us, but every offer included a 3-4 year contract extension with the probability of increases in monthly bill. I said no. So the monitoring service was stopped. Little did I know that ADT had the power to stop everything. We could no longer use our equipment. No camera pics, doorbell did not work, fire sensors and the 80 sensors on doors and windows. We have $4000.00 of worthless equipment.
We went to Costco and purchased doorbell with extra indoor camera which is ordinarily $189.00 but got on sale for $119.00. The monthly bill is $10.00. The picture quality on line are a thousand times better than ADT. The alerts are clearer. We did not think the monitoring from ADT was worth it since we had an alarm go off twice and it took police over 40 minutes to get to our home. By then whatever was going to happen happened and the perks were long gone. We also had a fire alarm go off and I could not find my phone to call and say it was not a fire. They sent the fire dept and it took them over 30 minutes to respond and they are just 5 miles from us. I do not recommend ADT.

I've had some wild times with my ADT alarm system and not realizing what happens when it keeps beeping. I realized then that something was wrong as far as the batteries. I was able, with the help of someone on the phone, to get it to stop. At another point, the batteries went, and I went to put them in, and I didn't realize there was packaging on top of them. So, the fire department came out to help me with that. There was cellophane on it, and I didn't realize that when I put them in.
The installation was a mess. I had pneumonia at the time, and I kept trying to get the installers not to go ahead until I was better, but they went ahead anyway. I didn't realize that I was going to be getting a video doorbell. I couldn't use my own doorbell, which is what I paid a lot of money for. They had put in something with just a little “Beep!” I'm hard of hearing, so that wouldn't work as the doorbell for me. I eventually had them take the video camera off the door and use my regular doorbell again. Also, I didn't have all that much instruction. I was ill at the time, too. It was a little rough going there initially, so it wasn't the best installation or experience I've had.

The installer was very nice and explained everything to me. The hardest thing I have is getting the little batteries. ADT’s reps told me I get them in the store but it's hard to get the batteries to fit. Every time I go, they don't have them. But ADT works well. One time, my alarm went off and I didn't realize it. They called and left me a message that they were going to call the police. I called them back and told them not to call the police because I was home. A lot of the security systems’ prices go up but ADT tries to keep it level for someone that's on the fixed income.

My ex-husband got in touch with a third party that installed the ADT in the home so I had very little knowledge of the sensors -- where they were installed and how the numbering code on the hall panel box worked. I was disappointed in the fact that I had used a third party and didn't get a list of the code for all the window sensors so that if the hall panel said sensor 23, I knew where to go to look and see if there was someone breaking in. After a while, I realized I have to call ADT on the phone about this and I didn't get a lot of help. They had people that were located in foreign countries speaking to me. I didn't really understand what they were saying or I would get somebody who really wants to end the call.
About a year ago, I added on the health necklace because my son was afraid of me falling. We contacted the medical division and they were very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable about the product. It was a good experience. In February, I fell and I injured my foot and this is where ADT has become the most helpful to me. It's a nice security to wear a necklace, but I know it's not gonna work if I fall because I have dropped it and it didn't go off. But it's good to know that if I wanted to summon help, I can push a button on it.
The service department that came out to the home was good. In one instance, one of the window sensors kept not functioning well on one of the bathrooms. When the guy came out, he said either I replace that old window or he would just deactivate the sensor. I said I don't know what I should do. He said he would just leave the sticker on the window and deactivate the sensor. He went to the coding thing that goes in the hall so that you could set the alarm without worrying about that. And that has remained that way. I'm not sure that was the best solution, but I didn't wanna get in the business of taking out the windows and reinstalling them because this house is quite old.
I also I had Vacation Watch in the past when I used to go on vacation and it wasn't a great experience because sometimes I would come home and mail would still be in the open mailbox unlocked and packages. I was wondering if the patrol people really get the info of what they're supposed to do. I continued to have the Vacation Watch, but I became unable to drive my car or walk so I didn't really use it. But in October of this year, my postal service refused to bring the mail to the front door. I called ADT and this lovely lady looked up the bylaws for home vacation. She set it up for me and now, I see the value of ADT. It's not that great on the house alarm part in terms of customer service and the way they handle the customers. Some of the medical systems, for example, depend on a AT&T cell tower and when that's not functioning, the medical alert system doesn't work at all, which they didn't tell me before I signed up for this. But they won't know how to locate me without that.

The installation team was slow, methodical and nice. They didn't talk at me but talked to me, and it was great. But right now, my experience is terrible. The alarm said “Low Battery” but it was late when it started beeping so I told ADT I had to go out the next day to get the battery. After I called them back and told them I had the battery, they told me what to do, which was fine. I could not understand the gentleman and I asked him if he could talk a little louder. I'm not deaf but maybe I could understand him more. I put the new battery back in and it worked for half a day, and then it broke down again.
I had to call back and I got another person. The alarm was off and on. The second gentleman said it was fixed because it cleared up on his end and he thought it was cleared up on my end, which it wasn't. It seemed like the lady who helped me last was the most informative because she told me to do things that the other two gentlemen didn't tell me to do. So, I'm happy right now and I hope it doesn't happen again. I told her that if they don't help me get this thing fixed, I am gonna call back and have them take it all out because I can't go through this stress.

I had ADT and then, I changed to another company and they bought that company out. I realized they started me all over as a new customer. We’ve been in this house 33 years and I've had them 33 years here. Plus I had them at another house before I got married. So, that disturbed me. And when they took over the company, they didn't even say anything. I just noticed the money coming out of my account. I called because I was paying less than they were taking out.
Recently, we upgraded our system and I didn't realize that the new system would be much louder than the old one was. I called ADT and asked if they could move the panel to another room because it was too loud and too bright. They told me it would cost me 100 and some dollars for them to just move the pad. So, I told them to just leave it where it was. When the guy installed it, he asked if I wanna move it to another room and I said this is where we're used to having it so we'll just leave it there. He could have said this one is gonna be different and I ought to consider this.
Still, I’d recommend ADT. There’s nobody else to have. But I’m not dissatisfied with the service. Now, that I've updated, that has made a difference. But it made me wonder if I was just paying and they weren't paying attention to my alarm system seeing as how nobody ever came out when the old alarm went off. And when I asked them if it was working, they said yes and they have a certain amount of time they wait before they call. But I updated the system and before I could turn it off, the cops were at my door.

The rep was very straightforward and did a good inspection of the house. I was satisfied with his results and we made a contract. The installers had a little problem mounting on the wall but they overcame that and got everything installed properly. I’ve had problems with the unit on the wall but the customer service team has been very responsive. I have a very minimal service package and it's satisfactory for my home here.

I talked with someone on 12-19-23 and was given price info and length of contract. On the 20th I got an email and it was nothing like we had discussed. I cancelled the appt. for a tech on the 20th, but when I got my Mastercard bill, they had already charged me $100.00 for nothing. Today is Jan. 2, 2024 and I have been on the phone with 7 people at ADT and supposedly I will get a credit, but it will take 7 to 10 days to process. They have no ethics at all. If you are smart, you will not do business with them!

I love the functionality of ADT. It's very simple and it works well. It seemed like the installation process for other companies was really expensive and they wanted me to buy the most expensive system. When I talked to the ADT salesman, Ross, he knew exactly what I wanted and he gave me the system that I was happy with.
I have the app on my phone, which I love. But my favorite feature is the keypad itself. It's very easy to use. In case of an emergency, I press one button. I had an issue with a little critter. I live in a rural area and two years ago, there was a chipmunk in my house. I got a call saying my monitor was going off. That was great because if the system was able to pick up a little chipmunk, it surely would pick up a human being trying to break in. The system is flawless and I had very little and normal issues with it.
I've had ADT for quite some time and it's a low-maintenance system. It's very safety-oriented. If I'm away and I have it set on the way. It picked up the slightest movement in the house. The online support for the most part is very good. When the alarm set off, I got a phone call and I was told that there was activity in my house, which is phenomenal. It doesn't take an hour for someone to get back to me.
I've had a very positive experience. Any questions and upgrades I had were handled professionally and very swiftly. There was only one instance where the technician hung up on me because she couldn't figure out the issue. There was an issue where the system said low battery. I had just replaced the batteries and I couldn't get the system back working properly. I called and the technician walked me through a couple of steps, but it wasn't working. And all of a sudden, she hung up. I called back and I got another technician who knew what he was doing. He walked me through how to reset everything.
The issue was when I replaced the battery, there was a one or two-step thing that had to be done to reset the system. The first technician had me disconnect the main power and the main batteries. I did it but nothing was working. The other technician, on the other hand, said, "No, that's not the procedure. Just go to your keypad and hit these numbers and press enter or whatever." In less than five minutes, the system was working properly.

I have a completely wireless system. I can do whatever I want from wherever I'm at through the use of a cell phone. The convenience and ease of using this system is pretty decent, and there are not a lot of false alarms. The system is reliable and it's worth the money that I pay for them to monitor.

I have two cameras up front, and one in the rear. They're really nice to have to watch what's going on. My old system had nickel-metal hydride batteries for our backup in the system. They went out and it would have cost me $150 through ADT to replace them. I took them out and replaced them myself for a lot less money. ADT is a good company to work with, and I'm satisfied, particularly with the upgrade. There are a few glitches every once in a while, but most of the time, I can figure it out myself. We could also do better on the price but it's fair.

I've had a wonderful experience with ADT. I've called a couple of times about things and they were very good about explaining them to me. Reaching a service rep wasn't any trouble at all. I just dialed the number that they said to dial, waited a couple of minutes and they called me back. Also, the gentleman that put the system in was very kind and taught me everything. The system is excellent. It works very well, and I feel very secure. I can get it on my car too. I just left and turned it on because my little dog's in there and I know he's safe.

I've been with ADT for more than 10 years, and the service has been good. We’ve gone away from the alarm system as far as the doors and so forth. In other words, you can open up the door without it chiming in. The ADT that we've got is mostly for fire. The customer service response is good.

ADT is very quick on calling when something is going on. Even if I dropped something on the floor and it did something, they would call out to see if I was okay. I like that response. Very quick. I was gonna call someone because the other day when we had a power outage, the old one beeped and I thought they had discontinued that one. So, I said I would call and find out what I could do to get that one discontinued.

Since we moved in this house in 2011, we've had ADT. I love it. I'm very satisfied with the features included in our service package. We just upgraded about a couple months ago. We use the app. I like it. It does everything. I can disarm and arm my system from where I'm at, and I can look at my cameras and see what's going on in the house and in the yard, and I like that. The alarm got set off accidentally by my brother himself, and the emergency first responders responded, and everything went perfectly.

I would recommend ADT. The young man who came out and put the ADT system in was very knowledgeable. I've only had good responses from the customer service team there. When the alarm would go out fast or it just went off, they were very quick to respond and make sure everything was okay. I walked into the house there. And I must have had that key fob in my pocket. And with the grocery stuff, I must have hit that panic button. ADT was getting ready to send the police out. I told them, “No. No issues there.” And I couldn't understand at the time because I didn't realize I hit that panic button, because it did a different sound as opposed to our typical signal. And I had relieved it, but still at the same time, the tech called. About the same time, I realized what was going on and gave him the code. And everything else was fine.
With the technical side, when I had to change the battery, they told me how to do it over the telephone and had no issues with it. The rep told me that there was a panel that I had to unscrew. And he made sure that when I unscrewed it, I didn't lose those little screws. The only challenge to that is if I didn't have one of those screwdrivers to get in there. But it was too little. That was two years into the system itself. I only changed one thing.

When we first moved into the house, we had a different security company, and ADT took over the account and we've had nothing but positive experience since they took over the account. That was 15 years ago. We're long-time customers, and we haven't thought about looking at anybody else right now. We have the Ring doorbell cameras, but we're discussing about getting a couple more security cameras for the front of the house and in the back. When we needed a technician to come over and take care of things like batteries, we never had an issue. We're happy with their service. We had one panel that, unfortunately, the cat had a fight with, and the panel got lost. A gentleman came over and he was able to replace the panel, and we were up and running again. It was making noise in the house. It was only a matter of a day and a half before the gentleman got back out here.

The people that came out to do the initial quote were bad. There was no paperwork but I was signed up for three years, and that was kind of bad. ADT hired second parties to do all that work. I had to really negotiate hard to get it done. It was horrible in the beginning, and I was walking into a stupid contract. It was a little fraudulent there, but it wasn't ADT. It was these third party people that they hired, but ADT is ultimately responsible because they did hire them. It was super expensive, like $55 for each month for three years. But since then, it's been really good customer service. I feel safe and secure being protected by an alarm company. It's been awesome. Now I’m a loyal customer and I've had it for a long, long time. But the price is a little on the high side, and I probably will discontinue if they don't lower it even further.

The first time I had ADT, I loved it. The second time, they shipped all their people to talk to overseas and you can't understand them and it's difficult to get things fixed. I had some issues with the system a couple of months ago. They had to come out. They couldn't help me over the phone. It's difficult to talk to them because they don't speak English and when they do talk, there's so much noise in the background, you can't hear them. The technicians that come out are great. I don't have any problem with them. The people that you call on the phone and trying to make appointments are terrible. I would get rid of the system if I could. ADT should move all the people that do the talking back to America so we can speak to them.

ADT works. I don't like the idea that PG County has started to charge this area a fee to have the ADT home security. I have to pay a fee once every two years in order to have the security. They say the only way I can not pay it is to not have a security system in the home at all. I've never had to do that prior to last year. They have good customer service. They seem to be nice and friendly. They're willing to help and very knowledgeable. They get someone scheduled to take care of whatever problem I may have. The price is reasonable. It's just that I'm not working. I'm senior citizen. They could, from time to time, offer reduction in price for seniors.

Our experience with them has been excellent. We had a couple of false alarms where we set the system off. We were able to reset it quickly without a hassle. The first time I set it off though, they called me and my wife could not remember the security word. So, I told the guy, "Look, I can tell you who I am. I could tell you everything you wanna know. But I can't tell you the security word." And so the sheriff came to the house. They double checked that nobody was in the house setting off the alarm.
Another time I couldn't reset it was when I had a fire in my toaster oven and the smoke alarm went off. Nobody called us and they just sent the fire department. The firemen took the toaster out of the house, brought in a big fan and got rid of all the excess smoke. Other than that, I have a great sense of security because I know that if somebody opens a door that I can't see, I'm gonna hear the tone. ADT is a great service.

There were a couple of incidents where the fire alarm was alarming in my absence due to smoke issue. Everything was normal but people don't know they were burning some incense and the smoke detectors were alarming. And a fire brigade came in. It was $52 every month for the ADT service and now, it is 62. I was wondering why they increased. But I'm highly satisfied with ADT’s package.

The installers were excellent. They came years ago and were here many hours. They stayed to make sure that we knew how to operate the panel and answered questions. They've come back out as well. Two years ago, we had a problem with our garage sensor and they swapped out the sensor. We've also accidentally set off the system twice, and as soon as it went off, I was on the phone with ADT to tell them that it was us. They're are always very responsive and take the time to walk us through things. When I have questions, they don't ever make me feel like I'm a pain. They're very patient and always excellent to deal with.

Working with ADT has been wonderful. Whether they come out or talk on the phone, you couldn't ask for nicer people. We got a new internet system. They helped me through it and the experience was wonderful. I like all the features. We just put a system in our home in New York State, too.

Contacting a rep takes a little bit of time on hold sometimes but other than that, it’s not too bad. I had one particular gentleman who was rude and when I hung up the phone, I was disgusted. But I was just out of luck. I had a window blind that fell out of the window after installation. The gentleman came back and informed my son that it wasn't his problem and that he didn't do it. It was gonna fall anyway. So, I ended up putting new blinds in. I feel secure since I’ve had the ADT system. Throw a couple of dogs in the mix and I'm okay.

ADT just sent me the parts and not the service tech. I replaced the doorbell and the chime and I've replaced the chime and it still doesn't seem to work like it should. They ring the doorbell and it may not alert my phone. But I'm at the point where I'm not worried about it. I had it for my wife but she passed away. And now, it's just me, so it's not that big of a deal. I'm happy with ADT. They respond quickly and do what they're supposed to do. For security, it's fine. They've offered some different programs that improve but it always seems to increase in the rate. So, I haven't done anything. But there's another alarm system that I might talk to and see what they have to offer.

The sales rep answered all my questions and everything went well. The installation team was very knowledgeable, helpful and gave me pointers on how to do certain things. I got an upgrade and from talking to the salesperson till it was done was within a week. I’m extremely satisfied with the system I got from ADT. I ordered a battery and the post office lost it. So, I had to get in touch with ADT to say we had a problem. They were extremely helpful. We got another one ordered and it was here in days. I would recommend ADT to anyone looking for a security system.

ADT is a good company. They installed eight cameras around my house and the app is not bad. I have a monitor and I watch everything too when I am in the house. The tech did a good job. He spent all day with us and did the installation camera by camera. When the salesman came, they had two different lenses that ADT sells. It's better to always do the lens that goes wider and farther. The salesman did not explain that. He said I didn't need it but I called ADT and they changed some of the lenses for me. The system was expensive but now, I am good to go. I picked my house but I did not pick my neighbors. I have bad neighbors. I am here most of the time. But when we go, the house is protected and I could see it.

We had a false activation and the police showed up. We were in bed and we had no clue. It showed ADT was set and they said it went off and we didn't respond, so they sent the police. ADT was still set and I had to take it off to open up the door for the police. They wanted to make sure that nothing happened to us. Everything is working and we have no problems with the ADT system. The experience has been excellent and I have no worries. I set it at night and go to bed and get up in the morning and disarm it. We're not planning on getting rid of it. But I was under the impression that when we first had it installed in this home, it was a three-year contract which was what we had in Las Vegas.

I had my truck broken into while I had the cameras on, but my cameras didn't pick anything up. The Ring across the street was the one that picked it up. It looked bright as day on the Ring. But my cameras didn't catch it not even the movement because it was so dark. Usually, it always picks up even the slightest motion. There have been a lot more times where I lived before where there were all kinds of people going through it and it was catching everything. They knew better than to ever come into my yard. I love ADT and would recommend it. It's the best I've ever had and it's good pricing as well.

Everything's worked out well for me with ADT. Whenever anything goes off and it’s a false alarm, they call and let me know that the alarm went off, and I let them know that it's a false alarm.

ADT's reps were very knowledgeable. Also, the installer was amazing. He went above with help setting up some things for me and all that kind of stuff that I couldn't figure out with the computer. I called customer service one time because my Google Nest wouldn't give me notifications and it was because it was an upgrade through Google. It had nothing to do with the system. They got me with Google, they saw what it was and they did the update. I'm very satisfied.

I've seen ADT evolve into a system that we could do it on our phone and it's convenient as it could possibly be. We've had three false alarms in the 40 years since 1980. It's not flawless, but it's good. ADT has always been highly responsive. They're a high-quality company. It's effective security at a reasonable price.

They explain everything perfectly. They listen to what you want and don't try to push anything on you. I ended up getting an extra camera because I wanted it. They gave me free installation. I had one issue and they conquered it right over the phone. I have two Wi-Fi extenders and they said unplug it because the camera was not working and then put it back. It worked perfectly. I'm very happy with ADT. It's worth the money to me. I got my driveway watching both vehicles. I got the backyard, which is all fenced in. I look for skunks for the dog so she don't get skunked anymore. But it doesn't really pick up animals. We gotta set for that.

ADT is a company that you would seriously need to consider as far as your security and the well-being of your home. It's a good company. When I called them, they were very courteous and they contacted me right away about what I would need at my house. And they came out and installed it, which went great. I have it on three doors. The fire alarm part of it works because it went off once before on me and the fire department was initiated. It does what it says it would do. It helped me have a peace of mind.

I redid everything with ADT and their installer was a really nice guy. He had to put new stuff in and that took him an hour and a half. Not only did he show me how to use the new products, he actually did it so I could watch the whole thing and he explained everything in case I needed to do some home repair myself. He also gave me some tips on easy fixes. It was really good. He was very clean and tidy too.
Multiple times the system went off and ADT was very prompt in responding. Everything works out well. I'm just very satisfied with their product and service. They're dependable and if there's something wrong, I know about it very quickly. If I have something, I call and they answer it over the phone. Everything else has been top-notch. I like ADT and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I would recommend it and use it again.

ADT has been very quick in action and very prompt. I like it that way. And the system is also good. Any issues, they were on it. They are well-trained. The system's features are very good. Only one drawback is if I need to upgrade my system, they would cost a lot because the whole system for example in my house, I have wireless motion detectors, some kind of plugs also. That's all integrated with the system. If I want to upgrade to a new system, what I spend like $1,000 is there would be no backward compatibility. And if they could say, "You were 15 years. We'll replace those things with free of cost or maybe you can share some cost." I'm okay like that. So, we're stuck with that old system only. The new system is very good and fast. We want to add up more. But I have to give up more than $1,000 on other things like that. Other than that, management-wise, they take care of things. I got a couple of times false alarms, but they acted very quickly. I love it.

The installation was excellent. I like that I can control my system from my phone with the app. I also like that I can control it from my computer and on multiple devices. I like that I can speak to Google Assistant and interact with it. I have 24/7 camera access. It's fantastic.
We had a couple of incidents where the alarm went off and they called us before they called the authorities and they asked us our code word. One time, we didn't have the code word but they recognized us anyway.

I had ADT from 2008 until 2017 when I was living at another residence. I moved into another place that was more secure so I only needed the alert, which was what a senior would wear around their neck. I had that from 2017 until the earlier part of this year. This is now my third time with ADT. I still haven't moved in but I had this system installed somewhere at the beginning of November. My experience has been very good.

I'm very pleased with ADT. Every time there's some little issue that is usually caused by me, I call the service number and I get a very helpful person on the other end. They offer to send somebody out, which I'm actually going to do here in another month or so because I messed the system up. The battery went out and I didn't get it put together right again. ADT offered to come out and put the battery in for me but I figured I could do that but I couldn't. At the moment, it's not connected.
So far, the only alarm I had go off was the battery needing replacement and it went off about 3:00 in the morning. I had to come trotting down and try to figure out how to disconnect it. I specifically wanted the lady that was on the other end that I talked to to tell me how to disconnect everything so that the system wouldn't go off in the middle of the night. She did that and she encouraged me to call them back and have somebody come out and put it all back together again. It'll be January before I get that done. I have an option and I'm gonna take that option because ADT has very friendly people.
With ADT, it feels better that nobody's gonna be able to break in while we're gone. Also, we have the smoke system and the fire alarm system. We have both, which is nice because if anything catches fire and starts smoking and we're not home, that'll take care of it. If we're off on a trip somewhere, the house could burn down and we wouldn't even know there was a fire. We're a whole lot happier. ADT is great and I wouldn't consider getting another service.

My interactions with the reps have always been great, and I feel good having the system. I feel secure and as soon as the alarm goes off, they call me if it signals that there might be an issue. I've been using ADT for about 30 years, and I'm satisfied. I've always recommended them to friends too.

We're happy with the system. It's easily to handle and set, and I feel very safe. We’ve been with ADT for years. Every time I needed them for something, they were prompt and got things taken care of. We contacted them when we had an alarm go off one time. It wouldn’t shut off. At another time, they mailed us a battery and we changed the one in the system. I would refer ADT and tell people if they want to feel safe and secure, they should contact them.

We felt it was time to get security. We're older people and sometimes I travel and my wife is alone. I wanted her to feel safe. I use the phone app of ADT and it's easy. I like easy. Easy is good. We had one issue, though. For some reason, the screen was blank about two weeks ago and we had to call them up and get them out here. They sent out one of the techs and he took care of it. Something went awry with the update. I like ADT. I'm very happy with it.

The system of ADT has been great. It goes off when somebody tries to open the door that shouldn't be in there and it works. I like the cameras. It allows us to see not only if people are coming or going from our house, but to check on our pets and other things while we're not in the home. The system is easy to use and I love that you can do it from your phone or the console. I've had to call one time because I've noticed something on my cameras in my yard that was wrong and were not able to do that ourselves. My gate was open and my dogs weren't in the backyard. It was crystal clear. When there's movement within the camera, it sends us a message on our phones. And when the gate opened, it sent us a message and we were able to see that they had left the yard. The police came. The dogs were just out on the driveway and they put them back in the yard and shut our gate for us.

My grievance revolves around the misrepresentation of information regarding the transferability of my security system equipment upon relocating to a new residence. I engaged ADT's services by purchasing security equipment valued at approximately $1,000. During the sales process, I was explicitly informed that I would own the purchased equipment, and in the event of relocating to a new home, I could seamlessly transfer the security system to the new location. The assurance provided by the ADT representative was a significant factor in my decision to invest in their services. However, when I recently attempted to exercise this supposed ownership privilege and transfer my equipment to my new residence, I encountered a starkly different reality. Upon calling ADT customer service to arrange for the relocation of my security system, I was met with a frustrating and disheartening series of events.
Firstly, I was informed that I would need to purchase an entirely new set of equipment for my new home, contradicting the initial assurance that I owned the equipment and could transfer it. This inconsistency not only violates the terms of our agreement but also puts into question the integrity of the information provided during the sales process.
Adding to my dismay, I spent an exasperating hour on the phone with ADT customer service, enduring a series of transfers to different employees. Regrettably, none of these representatives could provide a satisfactory resolution to my predicament. Moreover, when I requested to speak with a manager to escalate the matter, I was informed that no managerial personnel were available at the time.
This runaround and lack of access to higher management have left me feeling not only betrayed but also severely inconvenienced and stressed. Moving is already a challenging process, and ADT's failure to uphold the commitment made during the initial purchase has significantly exacerbated the difficulties I am facing.
In light of these circumstances, I am seeking your intervention to address this matter and ensure that ADT rectifies the situation promptly. I believe that as a consumer who relied on the information provided by ADT, I am entitled to the promised benefit of owning and transferring my security equipment without being subjected to additional, unanticipated costs. I hope this complaint serves as a cautionary note to prevent similar occurrences for other consumers who trust ADT's representations.

STAY AWAY from ADT. Worst company that I ever delt with. Their monitoring system sucks. Consumer relations sucks. I have been paying this system for 5 years. This is my worst investments. I had countless system failures and alarms. They never called. The worst, I have been trying to cancel for the past 6 months. Finally they did and told me that since I am just asking to cancel they will not reimburse the few months that I stopped paying. To make matters worst, I paid the equipment off since June. A tech came to my house to troubleshoot the system, and told me that I have to upgrade to their new wireless system. It is all about money. They are blaming me that I did not get the right department, when they are the ones who were transferring me from departments to departments. Yet, they see all the notes of my calls for the last year asking to be cancelled. It is all about Money, they do not care about the consumer. Find another company. Trust me.

I had to sell the house. I called ADT and canceled the service. I paid the balance of what was owed on it at the time. I had another $19 come out of my account in the last two or three days. I don't know what that $19 was for because when I talked to the agent and canceled it, he said it was paid in full. But their service was good. Everything worked fine. I didn't have any problems with it. It gives you a sense of security and the ease of use of it is just amazing. The guy who installed it was good and always answered questions for me.
Hi Catherine. We apologize for this concern. When you reached out to cancel in October, ADT requires 30 days notice for all cancellations. $17.99 was for coverage for 11/1-11/10. In addition to this your contract did not end until 1/31/24, so a final bill of $106.76 was also taken.

My daughter is a physician. She thought that ADT was the best company and wanted me to use the company that she uses. So, I did. I’ve been with ADT for six years now and it's always been positive. They respond well. They care about their customers. However, the subcontractor that they had initially who put in service broke some things and hid them in my house. But that was the only negative thing. But there was nothing that was ever done about it. But the service from ADT has always been very good.

The system is good, and everything's working great. On the other hand, customer service is hit and miss. I was in the middle of trying to problem-solve something with one of their people, and she said, “Okay. My shift’s over. I gotta go pick up my grandkids from school. I'll call you tonight.” She probably has a split shift, and she's allowed to work from home. All of that I support but I never heard from her again. Once ADT comes to my house though, they're great.

My experience with ADT has been good. But it's not easy to get in contact with a representative. Usually, you have to do everything online and I don't like that. So it takes a while to get ahold of a human. But the system performs well. They told me that I need to upgrade because we've had it for so long and they're changing their things. But other than that, it's fine. I feel very secure. They're reliable. If I have something going on, they take care of it right away. One time, I hit the wrong button and the police came. I answered the door and said, "It was a mistake and we've taken care of it. I'm so sorry but thank you for your service."

I was told by a friend of mine that I would be able to get a $200 giftcard for a referral. This friend that works for ADT was told by his (manager) Anthony ** that I specifically didn't have to be an ADT member to receive the giftcard. I referred a friend. He called and had a system worth over 7k installed with a monthly bill of over $100 per month. They say that it takes 3-5 business days to receive. It's been over a month and a half!!! WHERE'S MY $200 GIFTCARD!

I was paying $35 a month when it was Brink's and when ADT switched over, they told me if I could lock myself in with a five-year contract without going anywhere, they could lower the rate to $25.35 a month. I did that for five years. I just called back a month or two ago and locked myself in for another five years at the same price. I'm very happy with the company. They seem that their quality is Brink's quality that we had before. We've never had any problems. Any time I had an issue with the battery for the main system, they sent me one. I was grandfathered in with paying type of insurance for parts down when I had Brinks, and they went ahead and sent me a new battery at the beginning of this year with no charge. They walked me through everything I had to walk through. They did ask me if I wanted a technician out here, and I told them I was capable. I'm very happy with them and I'm not going anywhere.

ADT was running a special for seniors that I decided to try them. The original installation people were great. But their prices to come out to do it are ridiculous. My system wasn't working, and I've had it for five years. I changed phone companies and so the system was disconnected from the phone line. When I called ADT to fix it, they wanted $245 just to come out. Then it was $75 per 15 minutes that they were here. So I told them, “Just cancel the service. I don't want it anymore then., I can't pay that. I'm 73 years old. I don't have that kind of money.” They transfered me to somebody who could fix it and they agreed to come out at no charge. They also offered me a lower rate for 12 months.
When the service guy came, he did a good job, but he didn't have enough batteries to do everything. So he had to make a second trip. They told me that the balance of the bill would have been around $400 for all the charges to fix it. But I didn't pay any of that. They waived all that, but they scare you to death with things like that. It’s wrong.

I like being able to view the cameras and I can set the alarm, disable the alarm, and do everything from away. Also, it's very easy to get in contact with someone. Since having the system, I feel very secure at night when I go to bed that if anything happens, I'm gonna be notified right away.

The ADT representatives help me very well. The system functions fairly. I can send messages on my phone as far as if something’s burning in the house. When I'm cooking something and the smoke alarm goes off, they'll send me a text and ask me if I'm okay. I like the doorbell. It can tell me who's coming in front or the back door. ADT is a good service.

I purchased an expensive hardwired outdoor camera system from ADT which they told me would notify me if someone came into my yard. What they didn’t tell me was that it would also notify me if a bug flew past the camera, leaves moved, snow flew – I receive over 40 notifications in a 12 hour period. Within weeks of getting the service I called to explain the problem (which they acknowledge that they have documentation of the complaint) and ADT started sending out techs. The techs did not know how to work with these particular cameras and had to call Tech Support. They would tell me they changed the settings, and I should just play with the cameras until I got the notifications the way I wanted. It never changed so I would call back and start all over.
Finally, a tech supervisor gave me his cell number and came out several times trying to fix the problem – it never got fixed and he no longer works at ADT. So once again I started all over calling, having techs come out, play with the settings, etc. Just recently I was told that the camera system would never work the way it was sold to me and at the time the hardwired cameras ADT sold didn’t provide what I requested so they just sold me what they had. ADT solution was now I should purchase new cameras.
The departments don’t work together so if someone helps you and they end what they can do, they provide you with another number to call (they won’t call that department and have them call you because they don’t work together) and you have to start all over. So I am stuck with an expensive system that doesn’t work like they promised and a company that is not cohesive and, although always polite, have no concern about the incorrect information that has been given out and won’t escalate the problem.

ADT is wonderful. I did a few unfortunate or embarrassing false alarms and they've always been very gracious. Any question we've ever had, we've been very satisfied. The battery pack that operates the system died. I spoke with two different people to figure out what was wrong. I didn't quite understand where the battery was. So I ended up having to call a second time and get somebody to talk me through it. This guy was very helpful, told me how to take the thing apart and go find a new battery. I put it in myself.

I've had ADT before when I lived in California. I decided to go with them again. They're a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it to get all the security I need. My experience with their reps has always been positive. Brian the installer was awesome. He gave us his card and he said if I needed anything to call him. We have called him a couple of times and he told us to call ADT. Everything's been rectified. But I had an issue. I called them up recently and I hope to get it resolved. There is a spot that is not covered in my home security system and I need to get that taken care of. Because my ex-roommate found a way to get in and out of the house without me knowing that they were going in and out of the house. They no longer live there, so it makes me a little worried. But it was a good experience, overall. Everything worked out fine. I still have ADT and I'll have it for as long as I can afford it.

I have ADT in my cottage up in Isabella County and I also have it here in my home in Clinton County. I've had good results with it. When the sump pump failed and the detector did not work, they handled it very well for me. I was satisfied. I was a little perturbed that the detector failed to work. But the person that put it in, put the battery in the wrong area, where it was subject to cold weather and it depleted the battery. We didn't know it. But they handled it very respectfully. ADT did their job well. They've supported us when we’ve needed it. The only thing is that there had been a couple of times up north where I've needed them and because they were shorthanded, it took longer than I liked to get service. But the service was great when they got there.

The installers have always been good. They've come in and everything's been done correctly and very fast. I'm very satisfied. Everything that we have in the house as far as for security works fine. If you don't hear when somebody rings the doorbell, the speaker will tell you, “Hey, somebody's at the front door.” I like the camera. You have a history on your phone, and you can control things utilizing your phone along with it. It doesn't matter what kind of phone you have. It just works.

They've been really good. The reps were real helpful in what I was looking to do. The installers did wonderful jobs for us. When we put new windows in, we had them rewire the security system and they did a great job. We have the security system and Google's Ring doorbell and the Nest. With the system, I get a message that someone is approaching the door and then if they ring the doorbell, we can see who's at the doorbell and talk to them. ADT is a really good security system.

We have ADT in Ohio and I owned a restaurant company that we used ADT from a commercial side as well. So we've got a lot of familiarity with the ADT product. The installation guys have been great. We've had several times to do some upgrades. So we've been very fortunate. We had one disappointing experience. The gentleman didn't understand the problem. But besides that, it's been very good.
The ADT app gives us everything we need to monitor the house because we're gone six months a year. So it's nice to have that security and be able to check out the house while we're gone. But the app has a security feature where you gotta log in each time. Besides that, there has been no inconvenience. ADT has been very responsive. You can always chat with somebody. You could schedule service appointments online. You can also follow up, and track your service provider and your installation guy online. So ADT made it very user-friendly for the most part. The customer service has been great. They're easy to talk to and get ahold of.

The reps have all been quite pleasant. They call you immediately if the alarm goes off and ask for your password. They're always polite and efficient. I had the techs come out for different questions about the keypad and they've always answered my questions. The system is simple and pretty much bulletproof. It's quite reliable too.

We had a couple of security breaches with ADT. I had an incident where I thought the door was locked but it was not. The wind blew it open. ADT contacted us and told us that they had gotten an alarm and did I wanna send the police. I said, “Yeah.” They sent the police and they found out what had happened. They searched the house and gave me a call back to make sure everything was secure. One time the alarm wouldn't set just right and we called ADT. They sent somebody out to fix it. We got the package over the windows and the doors and the motion detector. Every now and then, I forget to turn it off when I come downstairs. But it works.

We like ADT. It's a reputable company versus some of the fly-by-night ones that we can't get service on. Every sales representative I had walked me through fixing things very nicely. Everything that we got from ADT was fabulous. They did a great job of installation. Everything is accessible. They explained everything to us. We have glass break where we need it. The only thing that my father didn't get was sensors on three of the windows. It's on the second floor and he felt he didn't need them. I can take a ladder, crawl up and get on the roof. But everything was installed perfectly. They didn't leave a mess. And I'm happy with it. The only thing that I have an issue with is when the battery dies, it's expensive to replace. Other than that, it's fabulous.

ADT knew what they were doing and talking about. They're very knowledgeable about everything. And they made it easy. The installers were great, too. They had it up and running in no time. When I first got it, I walked out of the house and forgot to turn it off. And the next thing I knew, it went off, ADT called me called at the same time. If I have any kind of problem, I can call them, and they’re right there, ready and waiting to help me.
The hallway monitor fell off. We had it stuck with tape before rather than screwed in. We had a choice to put it on with tape or screw, but want it on with the two-way tapes. It was hung a bit too low, and I one of the doors from a closet hit it and knocked it down. I called ADT and it was three days, they had me a new one sent, had everything back up in operation. It was wonderful.

The reps came to install the ADT package five years ago and they were very professional. After that, they didn't come anymore. I have a problem now and I need someone to come and fix it for me. I cannot do it myself and I'm going to call them back again. There are some people saying that ADT is too expensive. But they are very reliable because whenever I have a problem, they come right away and I always have them on the phone. At least they have a live person talking to you instead of a machine. My alarm used to go off and the police used to come very often, and I complained to ADT about it. They solved the problem right away. There was nothing wrong with my house and the sensors kept on sending messages to the police saying somebody was in my house.

I feel very comfortable with everything ADT has ever done for me. Three years ago, I did $2,200 worth of enhancements with my system. The techs came within three days. Now, I have sensors inside my house and in the basement. But I've noticed my rates have jumped substantially over the last few years. I used to pay $47 a month. This year, the price has jumped to $72. It continually goes up each year with an increase of about $10 a month. That doesn't make sense to me.

I've had ADT securing my houses off and on for almost 30 years. When I bought the house I'm in now, I brought up that I wanted certain windows set up a certain way. The rep said it was no problem and they would have a guy come out and review that first. He didn't do any quotes or anything like that until he had his technician come out, which I thought was pretty cool. Also, the installers were excellent and outstanding guys. They did everything that they were supposed to do. Some of the stuff required drilling holes in the wall and they forewarned me that it was gonna get dirty but they were very careful about things and they cleaned everything up.
There was a concern with one of the installations of the motion sensor because of how it was gonna be mounted. We had two options on how to do it -- one is better long-term but it looks ugly and the other looks nice but it's not on a good base. I told them to give me the long-term one and then they said they prefer to do that but that they were not supposed to tell me that. They gave me the options and let me choose. It was good that they did that.
Whenever I've had an alarm issue, they've called me within seconds and said, "Hey, this so and so alarm went off. We have to verify it's you. What's your passcode?" They do everything they're supposed to and then resolve the situation quickly if it's simple. In one case, we called the fire department just to make sure that something was okay. They handle everything beautifully and they're an outstanding company with outstanding customer service.

I was getting ready to cancel my ADT and the rep got my bill all the way down to 4.99. It was so funny because I ended up saying, "Unless you can get my bill to $10, which you don't have a plan for, I'm leaving." But she got it down to $5. So that was really cool. The last time they had to come out was to upgrade the system and it went pretty smooth. The system doesn't work sometimes. I'm having trouble logging into the app. But the panel itself works fine. Everything is pretty good. The only thing is that I got the ADT account seven years ago and I couldn't be here for the setting up of the account but my mom was so it's in her name. When I tried to put it into my name, they said I had to redo everything all over. They couldn't just change it. So I decided to keep it that way.

I was very impressed with what ADT offered. The reps have always been quick to respond. I can't believe how good they are. Being a new owner and an old person, sometimes the new technology for an old guy becomes difficult. But if we had a problem with a code, they walked me through everything. It was easy access to them. Unlike my former provider, they were great. The guy that did the installation was absolutely fabulous. He couldn't have been nicer. He explained everything and I understood half of it, and what I didn't understand, I made the phone calls back. Once you get used to the system, it's very easily understood. It's a good system, and I'm very happy with it.

All three of the reps that I dealt with were good. The installer showed me how to work the alarm system, and how to reset passwords. All the questions I had, he was very knowledgeable. The last guy that I dealt with showed me how to connect my cameras to my internet, and how to connect to my Google and my Nest. He showed me how to work all the equipment and how long it should take the charge. He also showed me how to be careful with the camera when I'm charging it, be careful with the camera parts and don't just lay it down any type of way because I can actually scratch the lens on it. So broke everything down. He was pretty good. Everything works properly. So I'm satisfied with the product that I purchased.
I added the doorbell cameras and the tech broke it down to me of how everything is ran and how I can control it from my app for when I'm not at home. When I switched my user name, the system was not connecting to it so I had to reprogram everything to be up under the new internet user name. I had to have someone on the phone with me and they got me through it. Sometimes, I would tell them that I needed them here in person and they got me through it. So that was a thumbs up.

I ran into a situation where my ADT was not working for a while. I kept calling and telling them. They were telling me to try this and that and it wasn't working on my end. I like that if I'm having a problem with the system and I'm paying for it, they just send somebody to see what's going on. I had to keep calling in. I let them know, “Look, I'm tired of y'all telling me to try this and try that, and then it's not working.” So, they ended up having to send out a technician.
The tech was late coming out. He was supposed to be here at a certain time because I had school and I had to leave. But that's fine and everything was resolved. During the time when I was without ADT, my monthly bill went up but they tried to accommodate it. Other than that I love the sense of having ADT here because even when I'm just walking in the neighborhood, I don't have to really lock my door. I just set the alarm. I also like being able to go to bed at night and know that the system is working. The time when it wasn't, I was always a little paranoid about things.

We had a break-in and my purse was stolen. I had no way to pay for an ADT system since my credit cards were gone. But ADT installed it anyway and told me to call them to set up billing when my card was replaced. Working with the reps was seamless. Where I wanted the keypad was not going to work. The salesman took the time to explain to me why it wouldn't work and what he needed to install it. The system has wonderful features. When we have to call them with a question or an issue with the system, they're very responsive. We had a problem with the mobile app so we called them. They worked with us and it was fixed. We haven't had a problem since.
Two years ago, we had an increase in our bill and I called them saying, "I can't afford the increase. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income." They said, "No problem," and they lowered my bill to less than what I had originally been paying.

We were with ADT for three years initially. Then we left and went to other cheaper alternatives. But we went back to ADT six months ago. They seem like they're on top of everything. We never had any issues with them responding, not only to alarms but also to any updates or any issues that we had. We had our home broken into. Ever since we've had an alarm, we haven't had any issues. Their response time seems to be adequate. We're happy with the way they run their business.

We had a couple issues with the key fobs, and they helped us over the phone. They sent a service rep out, and we got everything corrected. Everything's going along fine now. ADT has been good for what we've needed. We're quite satisfied with what we've got, and when we had a problem, they worked with us. Trying to get through the menu when we call companies gets to be a little frustrating, but that's just the way the world is now. People have to go through the menus. Once we get hold of a human being to talk to ADT, things go along very smoothly. We'd recommend them if anybody asked.

I've had ADT for years, and I'm satisfied with the features. A couple of times in all the years I've had the system, it's gone off and nothing was there, but they said that can be flies flying around the stuff. Besides that, the system is everything I need. It's working for me, and I don't have any complaints. When I had a door replaced and needed some more stickers, the reps were helpful and sent me everything I needed. They helped me on the phone with how to do everything, and they were very nice and informative. I'm also satisfied with what I'm paying now. They raised the price at one point and I was gonna cancel it, but then they dropped it.

ADT is a good company, and I've had very good experiences with them. The price went up a bit and I haven't had a chance to call them to ask why, but other than that, I like the customer service. I've had several techs come out, and they've always done what I wanted them to do. They were very courteous and they always identify themselves with their badge. They've always been professional.
I feel protected with ADT. I'm connected with the phone and my computer, and I can turn my system on and off wherever I am. That's a good feature, and I'm satisfied. If at least I forgot to turn the system, on, I can always check to see and turn it on. ADT sends me an email saying, “Your system is working properly.” I also know the system works because, on a few occasions, I just cracked the door without turning the system off and the whole community went up in sound.

The sales rep was very friendly, came to the house, walked through things, and figured out what we needed to join with the current system that we had at the time and make our system even better. Sales promised something that tech wasn't aware of, but between two heads in tech, they figured out how to make the system work. It turned out really well, and the in-person service was great. On the other hand, I had a credit card compromised, and it took five different phone calls to get everything figured out. That was a little disappointing. Besides that, we've had ADT for a few years now, and it's been good. Everything seems to work just like it was advertised as.

ADT is a good system. I got windows protection and windows motion sensor for upstairs and downstairs. When I first got my system, they sent a nice guy out in a van. He set the garage and the one up on the door. He explained everything while he was doing it. When I had a problem, I called them up and they explained to me how to fix it.

Everyone that has ever come out has been able to handle the problem that I've had. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. Any time there was a charge involved, they explained to me exactly what it was and how I could pay it. There was one time when the system said that the batteries were going out in one of the locations. But I couldn't find where anything was that have a battery in it at all. So a person came out and looked and showed me what it was, and was very courteous about it. Also showed me what the battery looked like, and suggested that I change them every so often. Now that I know where they are, I can do that. I've always been satisfied with ADT, and I'm still happy with the amount that they charge.

Get ADT because it works. The total package is good, and the price was reasonable. I've had ADT since 2011 and they've always abided by my needs and help me with this. I've also got it for my son and daughter, and my daughter still has hers and she has added on, too. I have the home monitoring system, and I've had the Ring doorbell for two years. My inside monitoring automatically kicks in, and the Ring doorbell is good as long as it stays online. So if the Wi-Fi went out, the doorbell would too. That happened to me one time because my sensor on my car got stolen, I had the Ring but my Wi-Fi was out of something. The car was parked in front of the house, but we never saw who did it because the Wi-Fi was out.
ADT has been very helpful with me and prompt. One time my doorbell would not work. The guy was able to guide me through it over the phone with a video view and tell me what to do with the doorbell so it would start back working. And once he guided me through it, it started back working. They didn't have to come out. I just had to be available for the phone call.
I didn't know my alarm went off one time. ADT called because I was in my bedroom with the door shut. I didn't hear the alarm going off, but I was asleep too. And when I answered the phone, it was, "Your alarm is going off." And when I opened the door, I could hear it. And come to find out, my nephew had opened the door in the basement because he didn't know the alarm was on. So that helped me to understand, if you go down there, you better not touch that door.

ADT sent me a battery for my keypad. I didn't know how to get the battery out and that was a pain in the butt. But I was able to do it. They would charge me money to send somebody out to fix a battery. I've had a security monitor with ADT for 28 years. I thought they should have done it as a free service. My keypad still isn't working right because the trouble light is always lit on the panel, but it seems to work.

Also, contacting a rep has been easy. I just call the number and someone comes on the phone to try to help me. And instead of sending out a technician, they will help me over the phone. Oh how my blood is boiling right now! My security system has not worked in almost a month! I’ve had 2 “virtual “ appointments with no success! I’ve talked to 3-4 different people regarding this issue and each person has either lied to me and just told me things that are not true! Now I’m being asked to pay $60 for a tech to come out! I’ve been waiting for a supervisor to contact me for three weeks now!

I've been with ADT at my previous house. I was in it for 13 years. I've been with them for over 35 years if I count both houses. My interaction with their reps has always been positive. If they have a new product, they just present it in a clear and lucid way. Then I make a decision whether or not I wanna buy the product. The system works great. It's one of the more basic systems, and it works every time. If I have any problems with the system, I usually call ADT to be preemptive and try to get them to take corrective action, and they usually do. I like that you can set the alarm. The inside, outside option, while you're in the house. If you want to roam around the house, you can. Then set it when you leave the house, so if any roaming takes place, they'll pick it up. I also have a glass break. All the doors are appropriately wired, so our sense of security is very good. I would highly recommend ADT.

I trust the ADT system. It's easy to use. We have it in two homes. We've been very happy with it for a number of years. I feel very secure because you never can tell when you need protection. Recently, the alarm went off on the pad saying that we needed new batteries. We got some new batteries and they are excellent.

ADT gave me a good rate. We've been with them for a long time. But after a year, they raised the rate. I called them back and they never raised it again. They lowered it back to the old rate and I still pay that. I have no problem with them. They're good. I've talked to them on numerous times when we had a battery problem. We had a power failure and then the battery would kick in. After a while, the battery would go dead because it only has so much. Then it would take a long time to charge up. We got a new battery but I had to pay for it. But, that's what it is. I like that they're easy to get ahold of and they answer the phone. Since having the system in our home, I feel confident. We were in Arizona and we got an alert. The police came out and checked everything and said it was just a bug that climbed over one of the sensors. There was no issue at all.

Our system alerts me every time someone leaves, comes up or passes by the house. It went off one time, but we got it before someone came out. At one point, I had a new internet box put in and it threw everything off, and then my camera system wouldn't show up around the house. Someone had to walk me through how to go back on and program each camera. I've had the ADT system going on a year, and we love it. I've even recommended it to a neighbor.

ADT is a reliable service, and they're professional and friendly. We have a basic plan, and the features are good. We're generally pleased. We've had routine maintenance and the technicians have been wonderful.

We've had ADT for over 20 years. We had a new panel board put up not too long ago, and it's easy to work. The other day, we set the thing off and nobody called, but we got it off quickly. Overall, we love ADT, and we really believe in it. We like that we can depend on it and they're nice to deal with. I'm well-pleased and I hope to keep it forever.

The signup experience was excellent. It assured me that they knew what they were doing. Every time I've contacted ADT, I've gotten a rapid response. The last time though, I had a battery failure notice and I talked to 12 different people over three months to get it figured out. Over that time, I had purchased a ton of batteries. I finally found the right batteries but when I opened the device and closed it up again, it worked. I didn't even have to put the battery in. So, the device had gotten knocked off wonky.
I miss the fact that people would come to the house 'cause a technician would've figured that out months before. It's hard to solve problems online, especially when somebody like me never sees these devices and doesn't recognize that it has been knocked off about half an inch from the door. Also, we stopped setting the alarms at night a year ago because our dog kept wanting out and it was a big pain. I contacted ADT at the time and said, "We're gonna just not have the service anymore 'cause the only thing we're using is the smoke alarm, which I love. "And they said, "Oh, we'll give you a lower price because you're not using it and you always did the work." Other than that, the system has given me peace of mind. As I get older, it fills the gap of not being able to hear and see things on my own all the time.

ADT has been very good. I just have one problem. They've sent techs out over the years and they can't seem to get my front door right. I can set my alarm outside after I've already closed the door, and it's fine but if I try to set it on the unit itself and then come out of the house and shut the door, then the alarm starts within 10 minutes and here comes the police.
The first tech said he thought it was the motherboard, but nothing ever happened with it. It's still here. They did not change the system. He said he didn't have the system with him, and that was the last I heard of that. Another one came and said it was the sensor on the door. They changed the sensor on the door, which didn't make any difference. Then the third one came and he said, "I'm gonna change where it's positioned on the door." So, he changed where it was positioned and it still doesn't make any difference. It's weird. You cannot set it off of the box in the house. I can set to stay in the house, but I cannot shut that front door and go out after I've set it.
I'm satisfied with ADT because they've really worked with me. I'm old. I'm on Social Security. If it gets too high and I can't afford them, they always give me a deal to have coverage that I can't refuse. They're great there, but there's just something about this system that don't work really well. Overall, I feel safe. If I'm staying in the house and going to bed, I can set it. If I leave, as long as I got my phone, I can set it outside.

The house that I bought had ADT in it. So, we just stayed with them. I had to switch things over. The system I had was the old system. So, they upgraded to the touchpad. I got the glass breaks in. I got the door camera, and I got a camera on the outside and one on the inside. I can monitor the cameras on my iPhone. One time, I was cooking something and the fire alarm went off. They called me and I told them what had happened. So, they didn't send the fire department out. I enjoy ADT. I like the coverage I got.

When I was in need of a security system, I thought that ADT would be a good company that I could go to. I wasn't satisfied with the experience with my previous monitoring company, and I decided to give ADT a try. Since I've been with them, I'm 100% satisfied with the way they conduct their monitoring. I like the equipment that I had installed with the cameras and the keypad. I like the way the system works.
I've had just a few issues with the camera going offline and we handled that over the phone. They walked me through how to get the camera back online. I'm comfortable with it because I'm mechanically inclined and I can follow instructions that they gave me to get it to work. If the same thing happens again, you still have to contact them so they can do some things on their end to get the camera reset and everything. Anytime I've contacted them, I've always had the issue resolved and they always answer my question.
I'm confident that ADT is a good system and it works well for me. One thing that I like about it is even when I'm away from home, I can go to the app and monitor my cameras. I like that I get an alert if something goes wrong or if there's an intruder on my property, I can just take a look at it. Also, if somebody's at my doorbell, I can speak to that person through that. When I'm away from home and if somebody rings my doorbell, then I get an alert. It brings up the person and the camera will focus and I can see who it is. If I wanna review the past or any incident, when the camera picks up anything, I can go back and review it. I like that part of it.

I've been with ADT and just stayed with them. It has been great. Currently, my system is not working. There’s some kind of defect with it. And due to COVID, ADT wasn't able to come in. But it needs to be replaced because it's so old. And I haven't been able to get them in because I had an electrical problem from the storm, which I can't afford to fix now. But they reduced the billing because of that. Twelve years ago, ADT didn't realize that my house had been breached. I called and they said, “Would you like me to call the sheriff?” I said, “You think?” That was bad. There are many other companies out there that are higher tech. I would probably go with them.

Every once in a while we would have an issue, but ADT was good to get it resolved. The got into the issue and got me restored as soon as possible. My cameras have gone down. I've called in and the service person could walk me through procedures on my pad to get things reset and boosted. It would take a few minutes. And she walked me through things and asked questions. I would answer. We would go through the process of elimination. And most times, we could fix it without a technician having to come out. They're all very knowledgeable and helpful. I can tap into my system and see what's going in the home. I can look at the history of what is taking pictures of and I can get the live view. I can arm and disarm from being away from home. So, it's good. I would highly recommend it.
