I purchased an xbox360 in Late November. problems started about 3 months later. Now 8 months later, red lights are flashing and the unit does not work. Looked at the internet and to my surprize there were thousands of complaints about the same thing. Called customer assistance. They said I could fix it for $129.00 with a 90 day warranty. I asked for a supervisor because I wanted microsoft to pay the repair costs. He basically said I was out of warranty and it was up to me cover the cost of the repair.

My xbox 360 after 4 months of use started to freeze and became unplayable. I called Microsoft and they took me through some trouble shooting steps. It was determined that my xbox was defective at which they were quick to point out that I was out of warrenty. The supervisor told me that they would repair it for $129 but they would not replace it.

I have lost $400 for the xbox 360 console and $300 in games, controllers, ect. that now can not be used.

I bought a xbox360 unit in january. It overheated in March. I tried retuning it to Wal-Mart but none to exchange in stock so I had to send the unit in for repair. The unit I received back was a new unit and now 2 months after receiving it it has crashed also.and there is very litte as a consumer i can do about the problem. I have way too much money tied up in the system and accesories to sell out but I am now just waiting for the nintendo and sony to come out to take my mind off of the sorry products from microsoft..

Heres the thing: I bought the xbox 360 on nov 22 (the launch date). I had no problems with console for the first 3 months. Then ever so often the system would freeze up and I would have to reset the console. So I decided I did not have to send it in to be serviced because this only happened maybe 6 times. Well last month My connection to xbox live was not working, so I called tect support and we figured out that the problem was the USB port that my $100 wireless network adapter plugs into does not work. The rep. told me that there was faulty wiring to the net card in the internals of the machine. She told me that there were many cases of this problem. When I asked what I can do to get it fixed she told me that I would have to pay $130 , because my 6 month warrenty was up. Now the system won't even turn because of a software problem.

I think microsoft should do a recall on these systems that have problems like the one I recieved. These things should have been tested before the system was sent out. Serious Microsoft Consumers like myself are outraged that the company would sell such a problematic system, and knowing that it has problems and not taking action to fix them. So now I sit at home with my $500 xbox 360 paper weight... and if anyone reading this knows Bill personally let him know Im switching to SONY.

So I finally decided to go ahead a purchase an XBOX 360. I own every game system on the market, heck, I still have my pong game from when I was a kid, with 4 kids, they come in handy. My 360 purchase was in late January 06. Then in March I had to ship my first console back, due to some unknown problem. Three days later they send me a new system (or a refurbished one). Here I am now in July having to already send back the 2nd system, for again, an unknown software problem...at least that is what the tech guy said... Not only do I have to send back the $400.00 system, but now they are telling me I have to pay $120.00 for them to fix it. I HAVE TO PAY TO FIX THIER PROBLEM???

What is wrong with this picture? I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick and tired of taking it from big companies like that. When you spend that kind of money, you expect to not have to deal with these types of issues. It has been less than 7 months and I am going on my 3rd system. OUTRAGEOUS! Someone has to do something to keep them from sticking it to people like that! I am pursing getting all my money back from Microsoft, for the system, the games, and extras I have spent on thier product. I knew I should have waited for the PS3..... It you are thinking about buying a 360, do yourself a favor and don't!

The bottom line cost to me so far is: System: $400.00 (and change) Extra wireless controller: $50.00 Wireless adapter: $100.00 XBOX live Gold: $15.00 ??? Games (6x $60.00 each) $360.00 Repair cost: $120.00 Total spent in 7 months on a $400.00 system: $1045.00 If you have issues like this, let your voice be heard! It's time to put a stop to this abuse. I am seriously seeking an attorney to make things right. I don't want anything more than my money back, and for the satisfaction of letting other companies know they can't do this and get away with it. We work hard for our money, and when we spend it in this capacity we like to be able to enjoy them!

I have been a loyal xbox fan from day 1.I purchased the original xbox console on day one and it hasn't caused me any problem evers. So after saving my college money for 3 months, I bought Microsoft's Xbox 360 on Nov 25 2005, 3 days after its launch date. I spent more money on games for the console. It worked well for almost 8 months.I had taken great care of it and had used it every once in a while because I work all the time. After barely playing the console for 2 months waiting for my favorite title to be released, the red rings of death appeared.

On July 18, my console began to have numerous glitches/errors and the screen would freeze. Then all of the sudden it would show the three red lights on the front of console meaning that it had an internal hardware failure. Research online shows MANY others with identical problems, just check the xbox'x official site forum at forums.xbox.com.I also came across numerous people's blogs about this problem, including an editorial devoted to the 360's hardware problem. After more researching about this problem on Microsoft's tech support site.

I decided to call their support line at 1-800-4MYXBOX and after going through numerous procedures with phone tech, they told me I would have to send it in to them for repair. They told me that I would have to pay to have my xbox repaired .This is evidently a hardware problem by Microsoft and I am not at all satisfied with have to pay upward of $100 to just have my console fixed. This is not a limited/isolated problem nor one that could have been caused by my misuse. This product has a design problem that many have been effected by. I would like my Xbox repaired or replaced at their expense. A NEW xbox 360 console or my current system repaired, either at a reduced price.

Spent $500 extra on games, etc for a faulty console.Which makde me feel very stupid and that I should have known better.

Bought Xbox 360 with extended warranty for my grandkids 2-06. It broke 7/5/06 after less than 12 times of use. Called extended warranty the person said put everything back in the box and send it to them for repair or money back. I sent back xbox, but included the external hard drive since it came with the xbox, per person I talked to. BestBuy did not even try to fix the xbox, they refunded me $318.00. I called them and said they need to refund me for the external hard drive I sent them but they said I did not buy a seperate policy on the hard drive. I said fine, send it back as it just snaps into the xbox. Amy said she would try to get the warehouse to send it back but Carolyn, the supervisor said they cannot send anything back, even though her person told me to include everything in box when I sent it back.

First of all, BestBuy's 2 year replacement warranty is only good ONCE unlike Microsoft's extended warranty of 2 years. Nobody told me that until I had a problem to read the fine print, I could only collect on the replacement plan ONCE, it was not good for 2 years as I thought, no matter how many times it failed. Also, they only sent me $318.00 and the xbox 360 is now costing $399.00 plus tax so I lost $100.00 due to inflation. FINALLY, their operator told me to send everything back to them to diagnose what the problem was or send me my money back.....and I lost another $100.00 for the external hard drive I sent back because they did not reimburse me for that and they say they cannot send the external hard drive back to me. This is a rip off because if I would have bought the extended warranty from microsoft for $10 more, I would have had a full 2 year warranty no matter how many times it failed.

I bought an XBOX 360 towards the end of December of 2005 - approx. 12/24/2005. The product began to malfunction almost immediatley. I though maybe it was the game that was the problem, but the 'box' would freeze up regardless of the game I played. I was preparing to move into my new condominium, so I didn't take care of the issue right away. I finally reported the problem May 5, 2006, being that I hadn't taken my Xbox 360 out of the box I had it stored in. Xbox support offered to repair my box if I sent it in, so, I did. About a few days later I called in, and a Microsoft support rep. informed me that I was being sent a brand new. A few days after that I receive a note from UPS telling me they attempted to deliver my package and the next time and day they would attempt again. I then called UPS and asked for that package to be delivered to a UPS store so I could pick it up the next day.

Once I received my package, I attempted to play on the Xbox 360. And it worked for a few minutes, but it still had the same problem. It would freeze up. I even attempted to play a brand new game - no luck. So, I called to report the trouble again, and this is when I find out that it isn't my original box - it's a 'refurbished' one! It turns out this is how Xbox 360 support handles their repair issues. They send you a box someone else paid for and reported problems on, and they CAN NOT track or tell you where your original box is. After arguing with a supervisor about locating my original box, I agree to send the second Xbox 360 in for repair, since I have no choice - it doesn't work.

So, I wait for another Xbox 360 to be sent to me, hoping I get one that works. On, Saturday July 15, 2006 I search the UPS tracking number I was given by a Xbox 360 support rep. and on the UPS website it says my packaged had been delivered at 11:47A.M. on July 13, 2006. I now call Xbox 360 support to ask them about it, being that I DID NOT RECEIVE A PACKAGE. They escalate my trouble report so they can investigate where my package is, but it's been over a week and they have not contacted me. I've called and asked what the status is and they have nothing to say to me, except We're looking into it, but it'd be better if YOU contact UPS to find your package. It's July 23, 2006 now, and I still haven't heard from them. Each time I've called in they've just given me the run around. I'm out of patience and an Xbox 360.

I placed a Pre-order for an XBOX 360 in May of 2005, in the amount of $50. It is over a year now and I have not received the product. The receipt say's No refund. Unopend items can be exchanged for an item of equal or less value. I have called numerous times to see if they have the XBOX and they do not. When I ask the sales person why he doesn't have the product, he says, I don't know. I could go anywhere and get a 360 now, but they have fifty of my hard-earned dollars. You could say Well, why don't you just exchange it for a game and go buy your xbox somewhere else? I would do that if they had more than 5 poor games to choose from. (I would be insane to ask them to order a game for me.) I just want my XBOX 360 or my $50. That's all. If I would have known this from the beginning I would have invested that $50 and actually had a return on it. As I'm sure they have done.

    No game system. No refund.

I purchased an xbox 360 during xmas. I bought the expensive pack with the hard drive and the wireless controller and 1 game. The cost of the purchase was over $700. I have had the system and still only 1 game(though I have rented a few) for 6 months and have been having problems with it. I really do not play that much as I have a family and a full time job. So I call their help line 1 800 4my xbox. and deal with 3 different people. As it turns out in the end the hard drive that I had to pay extra money for in the first place is bad and they do not cover any issue with it. As for the console their may be an issue also which will cost me a minimum of $159 for repairs plus my shipping a 10 pound paper weight. So for me to fix the console and buy a new hard drive this system has cost me $1000. As for their warranty, they only cover a 90 day period on the console itself and if the hard drive is what broke the console then it is my bad luck.

I had purchased an XBOX 360 along with a game at Target. Two days later the XBOX started to freeze up, so instead of dealing with the hassel of getting it fixed I decided to take it back along with the game. I know that returnung games that have been opened is not allowed but the game system had scratced the game and I was however returning the XBOX. The customer service people told me that they could not return the game but could exchange it for another one. How much scence does that make when I'm returning the XBOX system.

Out of no where another lady don't know who she was because she did not introduce herself, stated to talk very condatinding to me that only made the situation worse!!! I decide to exchange the game they then tell me they have to open it. What!!!! I told them I did not buy it opened why are you opening it? The lady had the nerve to say to me I don't know that I asked for a gift card in the amount of the game they told me no and that I could call the 1-800 # but they would tell me the same thing. They were not in anyway customer friendly. I feel that their should ALWAYS be an exception to the rule!!! It's not like I went in their with only the game and no game system.

Other customers had to listen to things get nasty. I lost $60.00 and ended up with a game I can't play.
