It won't stop. Picture is great, sounds terrific. It's now in my sister's bedroom back in Oklahoma City where I bought it. Great product, We call it "the old standby".

Bought this TV (Flat Screen LED) from Walmart. 1 year warranty from Sanyo. It was damaged in box. Called them and at first was told that they will replace it. Now I am getting the runaround. The last CSR Jerrord wanted my e-mail password and kept asking who sent me what. They never responded thru e-mail. When I call they pull up all my info then tells me that I am not in their system, and keep lying about speaking to the next in chain of command. I am so frustrated. I will NEVER deal with SANYO after this and will tell everyone I know not to. This is not how to treat your customers... Very upset. And your customer service representatives have absolutely no clue in your products or business. They are taught to just read the prompt script and tell lies to your customers. No deals here TVs and reselling them. Some scam is going on.

I was approved for a total refund. Never heard another word. I have called and talked to Jerome, 3/8 – Paola, 3/10 and 3/17, Jerrist, 3/17 and Jeff on 3/19. No one can give an answer. The last one was “it’s up with management but that is all we know." Asked for a supervisor. Was told they would call. No call. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING ANY SANYO PRODUCT DON'T!! I purchased a Vision 50" Flat Screen TV two years ago at Walmart's Black Friday Sale (2015). They ran out and had to order more, then they substituted a 55" Sanyo flat screen TV instead. I was fine with this at the time. However, in the past month my Sanyo tv has developed a dark shadow on exactly half of the right viewing side. I have only had it one year and 11 months. I work at an elementary school as a counselor and do not have the money to buy a new tv every two years. From what I have been told, however, a repair would cost almost as much as a new tv and the repair would not be guaranteed. I will never buy another Sanyo product. This product flaw is obviously widespread and the company does not seem to care. I believe a class action suit is in order.

I purchased a flat screen TV for my husband as a Christmas gift Dec. 2016. Two weeks ago the TV randomly stop working and had several lines going through the TV with a snowy screen. We contacted the company concerning the warranty and was given the "damageclaims@funaisupport.com" web address. We were told to write in the subject line "Bad Panel" with the reference number **. We were then told that there would be a 48 hour turn around in response. After several days with no word we called the customer service back and was told that the information was never received. After confirming the information again and sending the pictures several days later no response.

We called the company and again was informed that no pictures had been received. On July 12th I called the customer service number and spoke to Kenny who deals with Legacy products. I was informed by Kenny that he could not assist me and that I had to call Sanyo directly although they had not been of any help. When I asked for a manager I was told that there was no manager on duty nor could he transfer me to anyone else who could provide assistance.

When I asked Kenny for his information because I planned to contact the corporate office I was told that he was the only Kenny at the company, he informed me that he did not have a customer service number nor could he release his last name. At this time and especially after reading reviews I feel that this is an ongoing issue with this company and it will not be resolved unless BBB or consumer services get involved. I purchased a product and a warranty at which time I cannot redeem although Sanyo system clearly shows the warranty was purchased.

I have a 55" and 32" Sanyo... worst mistake ever! I bought the 55" in October 2016 (its March 2017); the TV won't even turn on and I've only watched 3 times total. Before I knew the 55" quit working, I purchased a 32" for my bedroom. I can't even change the channels because the cable TV guide/menu doesn't show up on the screen. It's completely to the left, off the screen! (This is how I found out my 55" doesn't work, since I can't change the channels on the 32", I went to the basement to watch the 55").

I made the first call to customer service on the 32" where they said it was the cable company's issue. 20 minutes later I called back when I found the 55" wouldn't turn on; they said it would be easier to use the same case # for both TVs. They told me to ship the TV back to them and they would ship a replacement TV within 20 business days. I found this site and see that someone else had the same trouble, but the replacement TV they sent wasn't a new TV, but a refurbished one. So I call them back.

Turns out they had arranged to pick up by FedEx the 32" TV, not the 55" TV! I'm glad I called back... to ensure I was getting a NEW replacement TV. Now they say that 55" is too big to ship, they will send a repairman for repair. I have been on the phone all day with them (I have better ways to spend my Saturdays!). I will be returning the 32" to Walmart and I'm stuck with the 55"... and I have to take a day off work to get the TV repaired. If you're thinking about buying Sanyo... DON'T!

I am not helpless so before I even called I plugged and unplugged the unit. Plugged other items into the outlet (wiring less than 2 years old) to check it. Customer care has been very apologetic - every time - but has been totally ineffective. 5 lengthy phone calls to them. 8 phone calls and a few visits to their "authorized repair center" in my area. They do not speak to each other at all! My tv has been at the "authorized repair center". They have argued with me repeatedly and, basically, come up with every reason NOT to work on the tv.

After 5 weeks of no working tv, many wasted hours and no resolution in sight they are now able to offer me the WONDERFUL solution of a used tv to replace my new, non-working one. I did not buy or pay for a used tv I should not have a used one sitting in my house in place of my new one. If that is the best they can do I should be only paying a "used" price. This is an all but new television with very little use on it. Defective obviously and by their own tech support admission. Poor support. Poor customer service. Poor product.

While our Sanyo TV works well (it's about 3-4 years old), the picture aspect ratio cannot be adjusted. Well, it can but the picture never changes size/ratio no matter what you select. More so, the annoying part is that the subtitles whenever they appear is just off from the bottom of screen, so you can only see the tips of a few letters and words. We have no idea what the subtitles are saying, and changing the aspect ratio in the menu doesn't change that at all. I'm writing this because I'm fed up with Sanyo and their defective equipment. Honestly, technology was far more reliable 20 or 30 years ago.

So I gave them a call. They said a service tech would contact me in 2 to 5 days. I asked if they could make a note that I cant have phone calls until 630pm because that's when I get off work. They said "sure. No problem!!"

When I got off work on the 5 the day I had 3 missed calls within 3 hours of each other starting at noon. So I gave them a call to see if they would have called from a restricted number. Sure enough it was the service techs. They proceed to tell me my order has been cancelled by Sanyo!!! I then call sanyo, spoke to a supervisor, explained what had happened. He said "no problem. Sorry about that!" He says "I'll set it up again." So I call the service tech back and he tells me it has been cancelled again! I called sanyo again. They wont let me speak to another supervisor! $500 down the drain! I and my family will never purchase sanyo again!

I called Sanyo and they told me a tech would be reaching out to me to set up a repair. Several months later I sent them an e-mail again about this issue. They came back with "Good morning, We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." If the unit has the same kind of problem even when trying to use different devices such as a DVD, Blu-ray player, game console, cable or satellite system, etc, the unit will need to be examined by a service center technician in order to determine the cause of the problem.

Below is a list with contact information of different service centers close to your area that can help you with an out of warranty examination. This TV was still under a year old and not out of warranty. Will never be buying a Sanyo again and recommend you stay away from their products. Today, I read the complaints of many other consumers who have purchased Sanyo TV's from Wal-Mart and all are frustrated about the junk that Sanyo and Wal-Mart are selling. There should be a recall on this product and Wal-Mart needs to take all of its Sanyo TVs off of it shelves because of the many similar complaint customers are experiencing.

I have purchased many TVs in the past and none of them have just stop working! Like all of the other consumers, when I called customer support, I was advised to call a TV repair shop in my area. Had this tv about three months and the circuit board went out. The service center was great and it was determined the tv needed to be replaced. This is where everything went south. Sanyo customer service told me 7-10 business days to get a return ticket to the store. Now 12 days later and several calls asking for a supervisor to call me - no contact. Asked for a supervisor and was told he would call me back but hasn't happened as of yet. Now super bowl weekend I have no tv and this is inexcusable that nobody can tell me when someone will call me or when I will get a return ticket. Called several times and the last call was told if I received a call it would be today. I said if I receive a call and he said yes. Still a bunch of ifs and no answer yet. Worst warranty encounter I have ever encountered. I mean the worst.

Took it to the repair shop and was told it was only good for landfill. They couldn't find the problem but said it would cost more than it's worth to fix it. Did some research on the Internet and found this to be a common problem. If you buy this brand make sure that you get a extended warranty for it. It was a gift or I would have, like I do on most products that cost that much.

A universal remote solved that issue. Fast forward a few years. When time came to upgrade to a flat screen there wasn't a question of what brand to go to -- Sanyo. As for old faithful, she was sent to college dorm. She will retire here as a game TV. It will be a story for grandkids to ask about when they play.

I then contacted Sanyo and spoke with a very rude rep, who finally gave me the number to call to get the television fixed locally. I had the same problem as many others have documented. The green light indicated the tv was on, but no picture, no sound. I could sometimes get it to come on and it would work great until I shut it off and then it would not turn on again. Apparently, it is the main board that needs replaced. Less than a year old and the main board needs replaced.

Now after so long on start up, the screen starts out black. There is a strange white light that pulses up from the bottom. The top couple rows of pixels are scattered red and green colors. It does this for 5-10 minutes until it warms up and then it starts showing a picture. Once it has a picture I can turn it on and off and on again with no problem. I bought the 50" Sanyo flat screen tv in September of 2010 from Wal-Mart much like everyone else on here. After about 3 months, 2 or 3 lines of pixels at the very tippy top of the screen went out not all the way across the screen however so I knew something was up. Upon inspecting the rest of the screen, there were approximately 10 other pixels that had gone out in the tv screen and I was not happy, but I dealt with it because I thought I had gotten such a great deal on the TV why worry. Well then another 2 months down the road while watching TV I would randomly lose sound, very inconveniently I would have to turn the tv off then back on again to get the sound to come back, very irritating. Then when I was just coming up on my 1 year warranty expiration, the first HDMI port went, I personally thought that it was just the wiring in my building causing issues because we had a storm that night and I'm like in a building that was probably built when my great great grandpa was just a wee child so anything was possible. Repair guy told me that it would be better to just get an HDMI splitter and plug it into one of the two working ports.

By year two the second port goes out and even worse. There was transference and it destroyed the HDMI port in brand new XBOX360. Yeah I was livid, and frankly could not ever get hold of anyone in the customer service department to fix it. Thankfully I could get a new XBOX because that was still warrantied. Just before year 3, the very last HDMI port blew, still have sound issues, and now the screen glitches and freezes it crackles, and in a short time gets so hot I have to turn it off because I am afraid it may start a fire. There should be or should have been a recall on this TV, and because Sanyo didn't recall it and so many people have put money into fixing the tv and it is still junk and they still allowed it to continue..... with little to no customer service. Well I do believe they have lost yet another customer in me and everyone I know. They should be put out of business or should be held responsible for all repairs or defects on the TV's. Yeah I know I have had mine quite a bit longer however the problem started shortly after getting it. I know it is too late to compensate for mine but everyone else should get refunded their money.

I call Sanyo and tell them the problem. I am then told it takes 48 hours for them to receive the work order. Guess what, it's past 48 hours and still no work order.

I keep calling both places, everyday....NOTHING. Very crappy customer service and warranty service. I'm pissed at both Walmart and Sanyo. Walmart, for not telling me the extended warranty I purchased does not do me a bit of good, even though it states it is good from day one. When I called Walmart, they said the only thing the warranty covers in the first year is Power Surges. Anything else, I have to go through Sanyo. Sanyo, because it has now been four days and I am still waiting for a freaking work order. Absolutely PATHETIC! I will not be buying a Sanyo product again, and I will not buy anything big from Walmart.

Sound comes back on but sometimes the picture will not. So then I have to turn off the TV then turn back on to get a picture!!!! I have contacted Sanyo and they referred me to some guy in Springboro, Ohio which is about 40 some miles away for me. I tell the guy that is way too far and I can't do that.

SO he tells me he will see if he can find another one closer and guess what? I get this call from this guy from Cedarville and he says he will be working on my TV to just bring it up there... Well I'm Sorry But I didn't drive 50 miles to buy this TV and I’m not driving there and he said he would pick this TV up and I said no then I will not have a TV while he is doing whatever to that one - either way I will not have a TV. I think that Sanyo should stand behind their product and allow me to take back to Walmart and get another one in its place. AND FURTHERMORE I will not buy another thing electronics from Walmart again!!!! Because of this very reason!!!!

I purchased a 50-inch Sanyo FVM5082 P50842 less than two years ago. For a number of months, I've had trouble playing DVDs using my HDMI cable. I would receive messages stating, "Please use audio input for DVI connection," when there wasn't such a connection. I tried a different HDMI cable. I tried using a different DVD player. I changed my HDMI intake connections from 1 to 2. I came to the conclusion there was a defect in the TV itself. When I checked online, I learned other users were having the same problem I was. Fortunately, I had purchased a SquareTrade warranty at the time of purchase and will not have to pay any extra for repairs. SquareTrade sent a new digital main board and an authorized repair person will install it tomorrow. Sanyo was aware of this universal defect. It should have notified ALL customers who had bought this model and issued a recall notice. Sanyo, instead, did nothing. People with a regular one year's warranty are out of luck unless they force Sanyo to do what's right. For this reason, I will never buy another Sanyo product.

Dead or Alive is only on at that time and I don't sleep much, I watch them. Then the tv gets turned off till afternoon. This has been only thing since disease has gotten worse. I purchased this tv from Walmart Madison, IN. It have to be only outlet, don't remember because of my pain, and husband already left so I can't get to file cabinet with papers. But I know it's been a lot less than 5yrs. We also bought ext warranty. I wanted this tv because it had its own tv guide included in tv channels. I have pay cable tv almost 60/mo. for internet and approx 10 channels, it is a large on wall.

I'm lying here listening to Dead or Alive but when I turned tv on, a pic flashed and now it's total black. I tried to unplug and replug with no success. This tv and internet is my outlet. I got on here to see ph # to call or problem solving and then read all others problem with same tv's. I don't understand why it says Panasonic 1st. But now I'm exhausted so after I rest awhile I'll try again. Trouble is I can't take any more stress than I'm going through so truthfully I'm terrified to get one of the stuff some has gone thru. No, man made things don't last as long as they used to but when you pay hard earned $ and comp. don't stand behind their product, it hurts. If it's broke, I have a choice buying a shower so I can bath or buy another tv. Some choice, huh? Will gladly come back if I get more info.

They sent me to B&K Audio to repair the TV. When the repair shop contacted me they said it was not covered under warranty due to physical damage. I then asked, "When you say physical do you mean as the TV has been hit?" They said no, not necessarily. I then asked them about if the cold air could have done this damage and he said yes because I explained that I turned my heat off while gone. I then called Sanyo and explained that to them and they still say because of physical damage there is nothing they can do. I don't feel this is right when I know for a fact I did not touch this TV and I was gone. Also when I called back the TV repair shop, they told me he shouldn't have told me that the cold could have done that. I'm just very disappointed in both companies and I spent a lot of money on the TV only to be told nothing can be done. It's only 8 months old.

I purchased a Sanyo TV LCD 32XZ10 at The Warehouse NZ in Christchurch in November 2011 for NZ$399 on a special offer (price reduced from $799) and was given 1-year warranty. I was told that the reason for the discount was that the item will soon be out of stock. The TV S/N 1006L32XZS10450 LOT 204092 XHT 100279 was manufactured in June 2010, in China. I was happy with my purchase until Tuesday 28 February 2014 when all of the sudden the screen first went black and then produced a faded grey/black blurry mixture of shadowy picture. After checking the power cable, I run the auto-tune, but to no avail. The picture stayed black and grey and blurry. Only the sound remained fine.

Since I couldn't make any sense out of it, I've decided to call The Warehouse NZ customer service's office, but someone there answered me this wasn't The Warehouse NZ problem and gave me a Sanyo Service Center number to call, 0508425425, where an automated message informed me that "this office is now closed, please call between the hours of 8.30am -5.30pm" But I made my call after 9am, twice, so why was no one there to take my call? Although I only had 1 year warranty on my TV when I got it I was happy all the same with my purchase, confident I had a bargain: an excellent TV set at a very fair price, backed up by a reputable brand for its performance, quality and service.

With the TV picture lasting a mere 2years and a bit from the date of purchase and having paid $399 for it, I now feel I've been conned big time by Sanyo and it's distributor The Warehouse NZ. The latter even asked me to produce a receipt if I want my case to be heard, which I can't since the receipt has since faded away, thanks to the ink and paper used to print it. For the second time today, I have approached The Warehouse NZ (Northland Mall branch, Christchurch) for a second time where one **, a customer service agent has assured me she will contact Sanyo on my behalf and let me know in a couple of days what Sanyo is prepared to do to rectify the problem.

Of course, I'm told, The Warehouse NZ was totally unaware of 'the problem' and bears no responsibilities (of course I believe it... eh eh). Since, as I discovered after a few phone calls, the repairs through the Sanyo service agents in Christchurch would amount to NZ$140 only for them to assess the fault and give me a quote for the repair. I don't think I'll want to spend the money to carry out the repair of a fault I shouldn't be repairing. I purchased this product in good faith! I had no idea the TV picture would only last 3 years cap instead of 12!! And since this surely is a manufacturing fault of the Sanyo TV LCD 32XZ10 Sanyo is well aware of, why should I, the consumer, be made to pay for it twice the price and deal with the all **?

Sanyo didn't recall the faulty product when it should had in the first place. This surely must have caused a lot of distress to a multitude of customers such as myself. By accepting trading the faulty Sanyo TV LCD 32XZ10 set The Warehouse NZ should also be made accountable and it's, in my opinion, equally liable of the breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and for that I demand reparation from both parties: Sanyo and The Warehouse NZ.
