I bought a Samsung model DW80K705OUS for $599.99. A couple of days later I saw on your Web a model for $200.00 less with the same features. They just made some change to the model ID. My family Is finished with your store.
Dalia, sorry about any inconvenience. Do you happen to have the model number for the other unit. Typically when a manufacture switches model numbers there are some differences between the units. I can do a side by side comparison to confirm.

Thanks to the excellent, professional, honest and patient help given to me today by Chris **, I was able to make a decision about the purchase of my first flat screen TV. I was confused about what size and model to purchase and Chris let me ask a zillion questions (some more than one time), and he answered them with kind and knowledgeable patience. He must be recognized as great asset to the PC Richard Company. I would not have been able to make this purchase without his very genuine, sincere, patient help.

DoM did a great job! He took very good care of us. He made sure we knew everything before we left the store! Can't wait for the appliances to come! Very good service in the store. Good salesman, didn't feel pressured, large selection, good pricing. My only complaint would be charging for delivery, most stores I shopped at while looking for my appliances offered free shipping. Cannot comment on appliances at this point, delivery is scheduled for this week.

Sales associate Nicholas was both professional and helpful. He listened to our needs for a printer so he could help us choose the best one for us. He didn’t push us towards a printer that we wouldn’t use half of the options it had. Instead, he reviewed all of the available printers and pointed out what they did and didn’t do so we could get the best one for us at the best price. He was very knowledgeable and courteous.

Outstanding experience while purchasing the GE Cafe Double oven. Sales counselors Desmond and Lucas were very professional and knowledgeable. They listened to all of our concerns regarding product warranties and dependability. Their efforts found the best and lowest price beating all major appliance store competitors. We had a GE Cafe for the past 5 years. It was working great until the past three months, where we needed 3 separate service calls. By the 3rd time it broke down I was tired of GE trying to figure out what was wrong, and waiting over a week for the service call. I decided to speak with my sales representative, Mike from the Levittown store. He was wonderful! Within a half hour I received a phone call from service that I did not have to go through another service visit again and that they would replace the fridge. I didn’t even have to drive back to the store. Mike received the replacement ticket from service, ordered the closest model possible and set up delivery within 3 days!
I suggest one ALWAYS gets the service contract for a large item like a refrigerator or stove. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Levittown store for it not only being patient and honest salespeople, as we bought everything for our kitchen from them, but still there for us later when we needed their backing. Highly recommended this PC Richard location.

Dec 2016, when we buy the stove, sell person give us all the benefit purchase with 10 year warranty. When the day for deliver, shipping guy knock the switch on the doorway and damage the switch. All they do is push it back and look ugly. Now it is not even a year, the paint is peeling off the stove and metal not attach to the door as they suppose to be. When I claim warranty, PC Richard said it is not in the warranty, but it is just excuse. There is no such a thing in warranty contract. If I cannot claim warranty, I want to return the entire merchant and warranty charge!

Toufique ** was the best salesman ever! His excellent service in helping us search for all new appliances for our new house was so appreciated. He was attentive to my specific needs and helped me find the exact size of appliances I wanted. He took me to the available selections quickly and I was able to make all of the right choices. I immediately picked out all four appliances for my new kitchen. I was only price shopping but when Toufique informed me of PC Richard's Employee Pricing and the great bargains I would get, I was so happy to have selected my refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and microwave. I bought them all and thanks to Toufique, we were able to stay exactly to my budget! Best. Day. Ever!

Repair of Samsung Washer - The service department of P.C. Richard did an outstanding job for us. Our clothes became twisted in a braided clump and got embedded in the rubber insert. Their first visit was two days later from the time I placed a request for service. The part was ordered by the service technician at the time of the visit. The part was shipped directly to our home and arrived (3) days later. The technician Dave came 2 days later and spent one hour + and did a fantastic job. I want to thank the service reps who handled my request so professionally and the service technicians who made the trip to ensure that we would have our machine repaired quickly. Great job!!!

Walked into PC Richards and Max ** said right away "can I help you". He asked what I was looking for and directed me 25 feet away to the aisle for phones. He gave me a minute to look and came right over to assist. He was super helpful to match a phone to my needs and I bought the same phone he purchased for himself. I appreciate a salesman that takes the time to know the working of the merchandise they are selling. That's why I shop there.

Very dissatisfied. My husband and I purchase all our appliances at P.C. Richard and so do all of my family members. Feb 2016 We purchased a refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher and stovetop for our kitchen renovation. All KitchenAid. Appliances were delivered April 2016. One month into using refrigerator it stopped cooling and I threw out all food because it was spoiled. Called P.C. Richard and they sent repair service. Serviceman said that back of fridge froze up and to unplug and let it defrost. He said this model has a defect and will continue to freeze up. Model # KRFF507ESS. I called P.C. Richard and told them this and that I wanted another refrigerator. They said they couldn't do this, because it was under manufacturers warranty.
So a couple of months pass and it happens again. Lose food again. I call and I have extended service contract with KitchenAid. They send someone. Same problem, it's all frozen up and not cooling. He relocates thermistor. Said that will fix problem. Then a couple of months pass and it happens again. Oct 20th, 2017, call and they come out and tell me it's the fan and they have to order part and will be back 6 days later. Lost food again, no fridge to put my food. This is Three times now that this has happened. I called KitchenAid and told them I want refrigerator replaced, they said no. I asked to speak to manager. They gave me a manager and she told me the same thing, no replacement that they will continue to fix it.
I am now fed up and have had it. I go to store in Patchogue NY where we purchased this refrigerator with my husband, we speak to manager and he agrees this is ridiculous and that he will call KitchenAid and his customer service department. He called me today to tell me he can't get me a new refrigerator. I said I gave you (P.C. Richard) my money. I did not give KitchenAid my money. I want my money back or a replacement. And P.C. Richard can get their money back from KitchenAid.
You need to stand behind the product you sell. This refrigerator is a lemon. I looked on reviews under P.C. Richard for this model # and customers are complaining that this fridge keeps breaking and doesn't cool food. My daughter drank milk and it was spoiled, she spit it out. Why do I have to worry about poisoning my family with spoiled food. I spent over 10,000 dollars in appliances. I will never purchase another appliance from P.C. Richard unless this problem is rectified. I will revise my review also, if my problem is rectified. I am not being unreasonable, this is a legitimate and very serious problem and no one should have to keep throwing food out and worry that their family will eat spoiled food and become ill.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and a swivel recliner at the store on Flatbush Ave. Our salesman was Alfred and he was wonderful. I would recommend you ask for him if you need anything. He made sure the delivery time was good for us, the installation of the ice maker, went as smooth as could be. I had a great experience at this PC Richards thanks to Alfred!

I went to PC Richard in Bay Plaza today to purchase a remote starter for my new car. Being a female, I was a bit apprehensive and anxious about going alone. I had the pleasure of being assisted by a representative by the name of Tim. This gentleman put my mind to ease immediately. After asking several questions pertaining to the make and model of my vehicle Tim recommended the a starter that would be appropriate for my car. Tim also informed me of the onsite installation that is available!!! To say I am pleased with the service and product I received today is an understatement!! We purchased a Friedrich Air Conditioner from P.C. Richard at 86 St. in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Our salesman, ** was very helpful and knowledgeable as always. It's a pleasure getting old fashion customer care. We purchase all our major appliances from P.C. Richard and always secure the P.C. Richard extended service protection as well. We, my wife and I, have been loyal customers of PC Richard and Son since November 2011. We have purchase all of our televisions, Yamaha stereo, GE washer/dryer and the Whirlpool range/stove. We have always been extremely happy and satisfied with their service. Today (10/20/17), my wife experience a set back with the Hot Point (GE) dryer. When attempting to schedule an appointment with a technician to repair the problem, was told she would have to wait till the following Friday, which was a disappointment.
We decided to drive to the store in Norwalk, CT, to pay the bill in full and speak to the store manager (John). John immediately made a call for us, shortening the appointment. That's serious customer service! Thanks John for going above and beyond for us. We will remain loyal customers to PC Richard & Son. It has been said that the best advertisement is word of mouth. I have been with the US Government (Postal Service) for the past forty two years. I will certainly tell my co-workers what a great experience we had.

I am extremely happy about how friendly the PC Richard's staff is. The sales rep Waseem and Supervisor Paul was excellent with their help and services. I was able to pick out the TV and sound bar that best fit my needs with Waseem's help. 14th Street Manhattan PC Richard's rock!! This time around I ordered a new washer & dryer and a new mattress. Both items were explained completely to me and many options were provided. We had to replace our defective dishwasher after many service calls over a period of time. It was frustrating but from the moment we called P.C. Richard's today, they were kind, efficient and told us to come to the Oceanside store and pick out a new dishwasher since we had a 10 year extended contract. We went to the store and Keith ** was so helpful & knowledgeable about replacing the machine. In minutes we were able to order a new dishwasher and they will be here to install in just a few days. So what started out as a very frustrating day ended very happily due to the excellent P.C. Richard's service.

My wife and I recently bought five kitchen appliances from PC Richards. Among them was a Maytag dishwasher with the extended warranty for 10 years. The salesman consistently pushed the extended warranty for all of the appliances and pressured me into the purchase which cost several hundred dollars. We believed that in good faith they would repair or place any or all appliances if we were dissatisfied with the performance. After the installation the washer was found to be extremely inadequate. It took 4 1/2 hours to run through the cycles. Afterward it was found that the water had not fully drained and all the dishes were still wet. I have owned three other Maytag dishwashers and in the past the dishes were dry. We called PC Richard, explained the problem and were set up with an appointment for servicing. The day before the appointment was canceled due to scheduling.
A new appointment was set and on that day the technician showed up and a short conversation we were told that there was something wrong with the onboard computer. He said he would report the problem to Maytag and PC Richard. The next day two other technicians showed up. Again after trying to run the dishwasher they left saying that they would report the problem to Maytag and PC Richard. They said that they would be a report filled with both companies and we could call afternoon for a determination. After several calls we were told there was nothing to be done and we would have to use small packets of dishwasher detergent. We were never advised of this prior to purchasing the appliance. I will never buy anything from Maytag or PC Richard again and I will tell everyone I know this story.

Wow! Took my mom here for washer/dryer. Moe was not only extremely knowledgeable but so polite and respectful. Honestly everyone was so wonderful!! This is what customer service should be. The best of the best!! He also knew my mom was not happy with the stove she purchased there. He made appt for service rep to come to her house and check it out. Now I honestly can say this is what a family owned business should be and this is why they just celebrated 108 years!!! Thanks again!

I have worked with Dwayne for years. He is not only a great salesman but he is honest and I trust him. I have made many purchases over the past 15-20 years. I have 2-year-old LG fridge that I bought from PC Richards with Extended Warranty. On 9/20/2017 we noticed the fridge was getting warmer and everything was melting. I called it in the next day. I was told I had to wait till the 27th to get a tech out to look at it. The tech did come and he said he filled up the freon. By next day the fridge was still warm. I called in and was told, "Next week you will have the compressor and someone to install it." Then I received an email the following week saying again, "No part for you, wait till 10/09." I called in today and I was told no part till the 16th!!! This is all for the part which may or may not fixes it. This is what I get for additional store warranty? This is outrageous. When I ask for a supervisor customer service absolutely ignores my requests.

We shop at P.C. Richard & Son because of its competitive prices and services. My son and I walked into the store to buy a computer and immediately met with a well welcome from Mr. ** who was very pleasant to us, and very knowledgeable/experience in what we are looking for. We have bought TV's, small appliances, a Viking refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, laptop PC and mattress/box spring from Chris and every encounter with him was professional and the purchase process seamless! He is wonderfully detail-oriented and made it a point to help us with our purchase decisions based upon our needs and always called us to ask how delivery went and if there was anything we could help with. We are in the market for a new washer for our daughter's home and he suggested we get the available dimensions and will help us choose the right one for her needs. We took a long time trying to find our son the perfect mattress and Tito was so nice and helped us make our decision. He went above and beyond what an employee should do. I purchased a High-end DVD player at your Bayside store. I had a major AV show at a nearby hotel in Bayside and due to technical reasons our HD playback system went down. The solution was to buy a DVD with HDMI output and playback our show on it. Louis helped us with the purchase. Later, we realized that we needed a different type of DVD with RCA input and output. Louis took our urgent call and said to come over since you had what we wanted. He did the transaction very fast knowing we were running out of time.
We ran back to the hotel, plugged in the new DVD and it worked. You see, Louis knew that we needed a less complex player to play our show. Thanks to Louis, your knowledgeable salesperson and your great selection we were able get the right DVD and valuable advice. The next day we returned the extra DVD players we had purchased and Louis made the refund process fast, easy and with a smile. It's times like this where one realizes what being in business for 108 years means. Your signs in the store, "Richard IS Reliable" or "Electronics Giant" are truthful and not some marketing BS. You guys are great and people like Louis are there to prove it day after day. Thanks P.C. Richard.

We had a recurring problem with our Avanti refrigerator. After a second service visit to our home, the problem was clearly unfixable and we requested a replacement. I had my air conditioning unit burn out the night before I ran into P.C. Richard 576-80 86th Street Brooklyn NY 11209. ** and his manager ** which I wish I got his last name were unbelievably amazing in assisting me in an a/c unit and for a great deal as well. They knew I was in a rush being I had to go to work but had to get an a/c and install it for my family before work. They had me in and out in about 15 minutes with the exact unit I need. This unit is a thousand times better than the one I was looking at. They are a great team. I will definitely go back to that P.C. Richard to buy something from those guys again.

I am not someone who generally writes reviews. Even a less than positive experience is something I normally take in stride and forget about it. PC Richard does not have the best prices, but I've been shopping there for almost 20 years because I thought they had good service and stood behind the products they sold. We are so disappointed in our experience with PC Richard that I want other people to know what they're in for.
We paid PC Richard $1100 for a new LG washing that was delivered at the end of July (this is the store at 1345 Sunrise Highway Bay Shore, NY). It broke on Aug. 23rd. Over the past month, my wife and I have had innumerable conversations with PC Richard's customer service representatives. Some were rude. Some were pleasant and appeared to want to be helpful. One claimed to make an appointment with an appliance repair company that was actually closed for the week. One promised to become our only representative and to track everything to make sure our issue was finally resolved. The last person we talked to swore the part we need would be in by September 22nd (that was two days ago) and they would call us to fix our washing machine. None of these people have actually helped us.
Our washer remains broken a month later, and we still have no idea when it will be fixed. We have spend $40-$60 per week on laundry. Every conversation with PC Richards is another false promise. Why does PC Richard sell washing machines that it can't get parts for? If they can sell us a washer and deliver it next day, why can't they just come pick up the junk they gave us and give us a replacement washer? Or at least just refund our money? I'll update this review if they ever fix our washing machine.

I had purchase a KitchenAid French fridge. I used it for a few weeks and the upper part (food area) stop cooling, however I made a report and they send out the technician and he found out parts need to be replace and it need to be service. I buy a brand new fridge not a refurbish. When I call PC they say they cannot issue a new fridge. They have to replace the parts. This is very unsatisfied for a customer. We have a Samsung refrigerator that is a year old. It is being services for the third time. This time the refrigerator fan went and we lost $80-100 of food. It took 4 days to get someone to look at it. They ordered the part. After 4-5 days the installer shows up with the wrong part. Now 4 days later we find out the right part (hopefully) is in but it will take a week to get someone back here to fix it. This is totally unacceptable. Not only is the product terrible but the service is worst!

I have done work with Benjamin on several occasions which has always been a tremendous experience. During this particular time I had an issue with my air conditioning system and I have 2 children who are chronic asthmatics. “The reward of a job well done is to have done it”. On August 29, 2017, I had technician Miguel ** come to my home to check my refrigerator’s ice cube dispenser and dishwasher. I had at least three previous visits due to the same issues with the ice maker. Mr. ** handled the situation professionally and quite efficiently. He took the components apart, checked the water pressure, the lines, and the filter; within minutes he had the refrigerator freezer working quite efficiently. The ice cubes were the proper size and were falling into the receptacle. The water dispenser and ice maker had not worked properly in the last five years.
Mr. ** had it working properly within twenty minutes. I commend him for his prompt response that morning and for resolving the issue with my ice cube maker and water dispenser to my satisfaction. The issue with the dishwasher has not yet been resolved. Mr. ** had to order a replacement for the computer in the dishwasher. So, pat yourselves on your backs on a job well done; pat Miguel on his back for resolving the issue in a most expeditious fashion. Thank you.

On Thursday the 24th a tech came and identified the issues with my refrigerator the board and the fan. Said the parts had to be ordered which was perfectly acceptable. On Tuesday a tech came and installed the fan but had no board. No one can tell me why that was so. While the tech was great, my fridge is still broken. We are a family of 5 and the small loaner fridge is not cutting it.

Went in for a dryer I did lots of research on. Was greater and made the purchase quickly. Was set up with delivery plans and a 5 year warranty. Price on dryer was 100 dollars cheaper than surrounding stores and was a better buy than online. Delivery was fast and professional. Install took a half hour, they hooked up the lines and a new vent. Dryer works great so far, and it has been an all around awesome and easy experience.

I've dealt with a lot of stores in my life! However, none can compare to the service I received at the Milford, CT P.C. Richard & Son Store! I dealt with Bert! He was so personable and patient with me. I had a problem with the size of the refrigerator I purchased. It was my own fault. I wanted a counter depth only to find out after delivery it wouldn't fit. I kept it for a couple of weeks thinking I was going to have to buy a new one! I went into the store to tell them my error and to my surprise they bent over backwards to help me. It only cost me a small delivery fee to exchange. And to my surprise the new one was on sale as well as the other items I had purchased.
The salesperson Bert told the manager and they credited my card close to 400.00. I've purchased a lot of items from them since. The entire staff from salesperson, delivery, and installers are all incredible. You can tell by the way the employees go above and beyond that PC must treat their employees well. I will NEVER shop anywhere else for appliances or TVs.

Just over a year ago, I bought a brand new Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator from PC Richard & Son in Milford, CT. This past May, the refrigerator wasn't cooling and was making a loud noise. I made a service call and a worker came out a week later and said it needed a new fan. They had said I needed another service call to get the new part installed. Another service visit was made a week after that, the fan was installed, and a majority of my food spoiled and had to be thrown out. In addition, I kept having to take off of work for each service visit. About two weeks later, the refrigerator wasn't cooling again and the temperature read 78 degrees. I went to the store to make a complaint to a manager and the manager called corporate and they wouldn't connect him to a corporate manager.
The corporate service department in Farmingdale, NY wanted nothing to do with our brand new refrigerator and said I needed another service visit to determine that it was broken again. Meanwhile, I had to transport all of my food to somebody else's house for about 2 and a half weeks. Another service worker came to look at the refrigerator and determined that the defroster was broken and we needed another new part and another service visit for installation. Another week later another service visit, a new worker came and determined that the defrost sensor was in the wrong place causing frost buildup, condensation, and the fan to stop working. The sensor was never touched before and none of the past service workers noticed this issue. The service worker mentioned that it came from the factory like that.
After multiple calls a day to corporate secretaries, I was told a manager would call me back within the same work day and I never got a single call back. Once I finally got in contact with a corporate service department manager, Kurt. I explained to him my situation about how my new refrigerator has had many problems, multiple service visits, multiple new parts installed, spoiled food, numerous request claims for an exchange, and about 5 work days I had to take off. I explained it was bad from the factory and he replied with, "nobody's perfect" and refused to help me with an exchange. He was extremely defensive and wanted nothing to do with helping me. He was rude and extremely unprofessional. I requested a different manager and was eventually connected to Rich. He apologized for all the inconvenience and promised someone would call me in two business days to handle the situation.
I still have yet to receive a call (weeks later). I am 100% dissatisfied with my purchase and how the corporate service department handled the situation. After being a loyal customer to PC Richard and spending thousands of dollars on appliances and electronics, I will not purchase anything from them again nor recommend the store to anyone. I want a reliable and dependable appliance that doesn't have to be repaired every couple of weeks. I still have the same refrigerator and PC Richard Service Department has done nothing but waste my time and money.

My experience with Joel from your Paramus store was so personal and kind that I had to share it. Joel gave me his cell phone number and spoke to me on his own time on a Sunday trying to help me with setting up an air conditioner installment. Stackable washer and dryer, Frigidaire - bought the unit from P.C. Richard & Son 10 months age. From the very beginning lint deposited around the door and the around the rim around the door each time the dryer is used. I called pc richards for service and the tech came out and said there was a venting issue in the building. He also shortened the venting hose. There was no improvement. I contacted frigidaire. Told them the problem and they sent a local appliance service who changed gaskets around the door and the lint trap assembly which did no good.
Although still under warranty they will not replace the machine and have denied responsibility. PC richards again sent a tech. Who contacted frigidaire, ran a test and said the dryer was getting too hot and was not venting properly. I told manager of my building and she sent super to check out the vent. And the vent was clear and obstruction free. I called pc richards and nobody wants to help. I feel the machine should be replaced but nobody is standing up to their responsibility.

I have been a long customer with P. C, but after my last experience I don't think I'll make any purchases there anymore. I bought an LG refrigerator in 2007 with a 10 year extended service protection plan that I also paid for. So when my fridge got damaged, the whole process has probably lasted for a whole month. When the technician evaluated my fridge for the first time they told me it would take only around 3 days for the new piece for the fridge to arrive, and then they would come and repair the refrigerator. I would call customer service and they would say the same thing but after those first few days passed I had to be the one to contact P.C. Richard's customer service to see why I haven't gotten a call to schedule for the technician to come.
When I'd call they'd told me the shipping would last longer. I am a father with children, so to have no fridge was a struggle because my family needed milk and other necessary foods that require refrigeration. Luckily I had inquired if P.C. Richard provided a fridge on loan/complementary while I was waiting for my fridge to be repaired because they would have never offered that option if I never asked.
Throughout this whole process I never had an issue with the technicians or the fact that I had to make the travel to pick up a temporary mini-fridge. My issue with P.C. Richard was the lack of communication they provided me. I was always the one who had to contact customer service and every time when they provided me an "estimate date" of when the piece that would arrive to their facility so that then they can schedule an appointment with the technician, it would always ended up being pushed to a later date. And I always found out after I made the calls to them, and had no refrigerator for about 2 weeks!
There was never any out reach communication from their end, instead a lack of accountability, a lack of effective or reliable time management of when the shipment of the pieces would arrive, which made this an overall hassle. This whole experience has really worn and stressed me out and was something I never experienced before with P.C. Richard from all my years with them. Just a shame.

Purchased an open box refrigerator Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRS322FDAM. The salesman Tim was reluctant to sell it at the price the manager Joe was giving me and was trying to get me to purchase a different one. He was talking about the size not fitting through doorway. I got home, did the measurements and he called about an hour later and asked me about the space. After I told him it would fit, he said "Well the refrigerator is dead, not working." I found it odd to believe. When I offered to go back to the store to see it not working, he said "Oh no the item is no longer in the store." However, I'm going to request a refund back today. Very disappointed with the service.

I purchased an LG refrigerator 4 years ago. It stopped working and P.C. Richard continued to come out and try everything possible. This went on for nearly a month. We stopped into your Newington store a few weeks in and met Tom **. Tom continued to call and help and confirm that we were being taken care of. When Tom said he would call he did. 86th Street store on 3rd Ave in NYC was recommended by my sister when I was looking to replace my microwave. The service by the sales person, Anderson was excellent. I bought an expensive television from them in late 2015. I had to have one major repair several months ago and was without use of the television for almost 2 weeks. Now they have to replace the LCD panel and I'll be without use of the television for another 2 weeks. I've told them I want a new television at this point and no-one wants to hear anything about it. The Nanuet store manager was rude and curt and didn't want to be bothered. He put it on his Service Manager. Meanwhile it's another 2 weeks without an expensive relatively new television. Very turned off. Would never deal with them again!

Very good experience at PC Richard, disaster at Home Depot - Just under five years ago, we purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot in Riverhead, NY. Contrary to my normal practice, I bought an extended 5-year warranty. Just under five years from the date of purchase, the refrigerator died. I called Home Depot on Saturday, June 17, 2017. They promised to send a repairman on Monday (June 19). On Monday, my wife called the appointed firm, who said that they did not service our area (they were in Nassau, we are in Suffolk, County, NY). She spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with Home Depot. HD finally scheduled another firm on the following Wednesday (June 21). They cancelled and rescheduled for Friday (June 23). The guy came late Friday afternoon, took one look, said it was a Freon leak and there was nothing he could do -- he did not do Freon leaks.
We went back to Home Depot. They promised to call on Monday (June 26). No call, so I called again. The person I got on the phone offered to schedule the two firms who had already said they could not or would not service us. Finally, on Wednesday (June 28), we are promised an appointment with a third firm on Thursday (June 29), but no promise as to time of day. I said that I absolutely could not do Thursday afternoon, because I had a medical appointment in the City. Finally, Thursday morning, after much cajoling with the new firm, I got them to come Thursday morning. (In the meantime, another arm of the HD extended warranty operation (Asurion) called to say that they had scheduled one of the firms which said they could not do the repair for July 4!) The new guy shows up on Thursday (June 29), adds Freon, says he will be back to check up on things on July 18 (!) (I let it go, assuming that such a call will not be needed) and leaves.
After 24 hours, refrigerator still not working, so back to the HD “Resolution” specialist. It is Friday (June 30) afternoon now, and he cannot do anything until the following week and needs to order a new compressor and evaporator. On Monday, July 3, the parts arrive, but the HD “Resolution” specialist says he cannot do any better than the July 18 appointment for installation. I call the Investor Relations number on the HD webpage and surprisingly a human being answers the listed number. I threaten to call the SEC to complain about HD’s misleading sales practices. He puts me through to a Resolution Executive Accelerator, who promises to do something. In the meantime, on July 5, I demand that the HD “Resolution” specialist reimburse me for the cost of the unrepaired refrigerator. He finally agrees, but says he must get it approved by another department.
On July 6, I give up and go to PC Richard and buy a new refrigerator. The service could not be better. Even though I don’t really believe in extended warranties, PC Richard offered a 10-year extension for about 25% of the purchase price, and I decided to buy it, given that I was assured that PC Richard does its own repairs and does not farm it out to third parties, which is what HD does. The new refrigerator arrives on Friday, July 7.
While it is being installed, I get a call from the approving HD department. The guy asks if he cannot provide a “cooling alternative” – I said, "Not a chance," that it had been nearly three weeks since I made my claim, and that I wanted a refund NOW. He offered to give me a card with the refund amount on it, but It could only be used at Home Depot. I said, "No way" – I was never going into a HD store again. He finally said he would send me a check by FedEX overnight, but it would take 3-5 days to issue the check. I protested, to no avail.
It is now Sunday, July 23, and I still have not gotten my check. The HD “Resolution” specialist no longer seems to be returning calls. The Resolution Executive Accelerator said that someone had instead sent the check out by regular mail. The Resolution Executive Accelerator has offered to issue a check for an additional $185 (the sum of the sales tax and the extended warranty on the covered refrigerator) as some sort of goodwill gesture, but the form she sent me included a statement that I had no other claims against HD. I marked the form up to make an exception for the refrigerator price refund and sent it back. No response.
We fortunately have two refrigerators, so we were not completely without refrigeration, but we had a full house, with visiting children and grandchildren, and the one refrigerator outage was a tremendous inconvenience. I don’t know what we would have done if we had had only one refrigerator. HD should be ashamed of its performance. If the whole company is run the way its extended warranty arm, it is a disaster waiting to happen. We have, needless to say, sold the few HD shares that my wife inherited a few years ago.

Service call on new refrigerator - First service call by ??? was a waste of time. After speaking with customer service and my sales rep "George", 2nd & 3rd calls by "Kevin" were great. He knew exactly what he was doing, was pleasant and fixed the problem. Kevin should get a raise and also a promotion teaching the other service guys! Follow ups by P.C. Richard's managers were also nice. If the problem stays fixed, I am extremely happy (and am happy with all my P.C. Richard's Bayshore experiences) and have bought numerous "big ticket" items from them in the past couple of years. I purchased a E210 Weber Grill and cover. Upon examining it at home (it was fully assembled and wrapped) it was missing parts and paper work. It should not have left the floor that way. I complained to the salesman but received no satisfaction. I was intent on returning the product. However, I received a call from the manager, HANK, Riverhead store who went out of his way to accommodate me. He called other stores until he found an upgraded replacement. I just bought a house and the fridge left by the previous owners died. I needed a cheap small fridge to get by until I redo my kitchen. The manager did the right thing by me. He lowered the price of the fridge as much as he could and delivered to me the next morning. Overall great service.

It was a very hot day and I needed a new air conditioner unit for my living room. I had one that was quite old. A salesman approached me as I was reviewing their AC's and we began talking about some standardized features between the old one and the new one which put me at ease. But the unit seemed expensive and I asked him about discounting. Another salesman collaborated on selling me the floor model for considerable savings. The salesmen supported each other rather than being competitive. It put me at ease to feel part of a team solving my problem and saving me money. I am very happy with the experience! A plus!

Always have a good shopping time at the store at bay Plaza. I have the best sales counselor Tim. For year I've been shopping at PC Richards and I always pleased. Nothing negative to say. The experience is always good. The salesperson is very professional and pleasant. I always feel welcome and I know for sure I'm getting the best and guaranteed low prices. Thanks.

We had to quickly replace a washing machine. The salesman Shakir, was helpful in every way. He carefully explained the various options and brands in our price range. We got a great deal on a Whirlpool that cleans way better than the old machine. Delivery was 2 days later. The old machine was out and the new one was installed in 15 minutes. The delivery guys were great, courteous, careful, and thorough. When the next appliance goes we'll be back to Shakir and P.C. Richard in a flash. We highly recommend P.C. Richard and Shakir. Buying an Apple iPad - Very good service. Happy with the salesman who helped me out. Very polite and cheerful. Very accommodating. Would go back to see him again for my next purchase. He was very nice and very helpful in the choice of my purchase for what I needed.

I've always purchased my appliances from PC Richards because of pricing and promotions. This time the salesperson Dawn was exceptional. I told her what I wanted and she showed me everything in my price range. She made my shopping experience at the store pleasant. She's the best!

The refrigerator was repaired. It took 11 days and me taking 3 days off from work (first for original service call to diagnose the problem, the second day for the appointment to repair it after having had to call to confirm that the part had arrived and schedule the repair for between 7 and 11 AM on Tuesday, call again on Monday to confirm the Tuesday between 7 and 11 AM only to find out 10 AM on Tuesday that it would not be possible for them to come before 2 PM, and the third day for the actual repair on Thursday) but at least the repair people apologized for the scheduling. Clearly, not happy with the customer service but glad that the refrigerator was finally repaired.

My refrigerator stopped working July 2, I contacted PC Richards and a service appointment was scheduled for Thursday July 6. They arrived, diagnosed the problem and needed to order a part. They also put it in as a two person job. I was instructed to call back on Friday, July 7 to see if the part had arrived. On Friday, I was told "Good news, the part is in but we are all booked for Monday. We can get there Tuesday, July 11 and two person jobs are only scheduled between 7 and 11 AM." Great I can be here then.
Today, July 11 at 9 AM, I was informed that they would be here at 2. I said that I couldn't be here then and repeated that they had said that they would be here between 7 and 11 AM. I found a friend that could be here and called to let them know that someone could be here at 2 PM and was told that they had cancelled the call and scheduled it for Wednesday. I have been told through multiple phone calls and more than 4 hours on the phone with PC Richards Service that they are: (1) in my area only on Tuesdays and Thursdays; (2) 2 person calls are only scheduled to be handled between 7 and 11 AM; and am now trying to schedule for Thursday July 13. Waiting to hear back from the person that I was trying to schedule it with for Thursday.
This is horrible customer service. I had been a big PC Richards fan having grown up on LI in a family that always shopped PC Richards. After this experience, I never will again. This was also my first experience with a service contract... don't think I'll ever do that again either. 9 days without a refrigerator is unacceptable and being told that I have to give them a chance to fix it. Really?? What was Thursdays appointment?? What about this morning?? How many more days do I have to take off from work to try to get this fixed?? Having waited 2 hours for someone to call back to schedule for Thursday, I'm beyond disappointed.

Joseph was a great help. He was understanding of my needs both practically and economically. Couldn't have been more helpful with showing me around the store and thinking about my wants and asking me questions to get a better understanding of my situation. Left with a purchase of a mattress from Stearns and Foster that I am very happy with and don't regret. Definitely going back to purchase more things for my new home.

Jamie, the Asst Manager of your 14th street store has been AMAZING!!! She has gone above and beyond, get the "customer is always right " motto, and has understanding and compassion. Stacey who works with her is great too! They get 5 stars!!! Your management, repair and customer service people get -5 stars!!! I have wasted 2 days at home, I am a consultant and do not earn money when I do not go in! I will never buy from you, ever again and will tell everyone I know not to! I am LIVID!!!

I have been shopping at P.C. Richard for the past 25 years for all my electronics and appliances with with great service. I received a promotion gift card in the mail which I forgot to bring with me on my recent purchase (6-30-2017). I returned to the store (Ralph Ave. Store # 35).The manager would not honor the card! Which expires on 7/9/17, which is not good business.
