    I have a front load Whirlpool washing machine. I bought the warranty thru PC Richard and am glad I did. I’ve had it about 6 yrs and lately it’s been giving me nothing but grief. They came out serviced it a few times but this time they said since I have the extended warranty I have a choice of fixing this one again or getting basically a new one that they would credit me whatever I paid for this one and I could go to PC Richard store and get a new one so that’s what I am doing. All I have to do is pay for a warranty again. I love PC Richard. They stand behind what they say and this isn’t the first time they stepped up and helped me. I will always shop here.

    I had the appliance insurance and called PC Richard for a repair. The service from beginning to completion was excellent. After determining the nature of the issue, a repairman was dispatched within a couple of days. Dishwasher was repaired within an hour at no charge to me.     At approx 11 am on 1/12/19 I purchased a Samsung Electric range at the Deer Park location. The item was not only delivered but excellently installed by 9 AM the next day. The two delivery men did a terrific and efficient job of installing and removed all debris. I have dealt with PC Richard in the past and this experience reinforces the fact that I will continue to be a customer in the future.

    Our driver was bought on August 2018, It has been repair 3 times already, waiting for the 4 repairman to come to our house on the 01/14/2019. It takes 3 hours and more to do a simple load, We tested different amounts and is a disaster. We ask for credit store to obtain a different brand of dryer. They denied our request. We were told that after 3 repairs we can get something else, is not happening. I don't think, I will go again to the to store and purchased from them unless this is fixed after this service. There are other major stores out there with no hassle if system problematic. How many repairs a new machine must have in order to be exchange?

    I own a few buildings and require to buy appliances all the times. I bought three stoves and 2 fridges this year from them. 2 of the stoves have issues right away for which we opened service tickets. Technician came to fix the problem over a dozen time but did not fix anything, but to get the next technician to come fix more. At this point my tenants are not paying rent and would not permit any more technician's visits as nothing was done to fix the problem in the last 12+ visits. They just simply want the stove replaced. I had to go buy a new stove although my warranty with PC Richard is still active and they won't issue credit. Their warranty is a scam and their service department is shameless. Their sales guys will sell you ALL with guarantees, but nothing done to fix my issues. I have opened a case against these guys with BBB and will go to court as well.

    I purchased a dryer from PC Richard. The installer came, installed it and took the old one away. A few days later we noticed it never was really heating up enough to dry the clothes. Turns out after looking into it the installer wired it for 110V not 220V as it's supposed to be. That was not what really upset me was that he ran the wire without using the proper hardware and left an unsafe condition with the potential for a fire. Attached is a picture.

    Recently purchased 70" LG TV online from P.C. Richard and Son. The site listed that TVs 50" and above, **cannot be returned**. As they offered an attractive price plus based on my earlier good experience of shopping in their store while living in Tristate area (I have now moved down south where there is no physical store located leaving online shopping as the only option), I decided to make this purchase through their website. The TV arrived via air freight as expected, on time. Engaged professional licensed installer to unpack and wall mount the TV. All went off flawlessly and my family is now enjoying the TV!     We purchased the warranty at the time we purchased our washing machine. We never had a problem with the machine until now and we have had 3 service calls all with no resolve. They keep saying they need to order parts, they did and came to install and it broke again. They came back said they need to order more parts. Each time they come it's at least a week wait for the next appointment so now I have been without a washing machine for a month. I paid over $500 for a warranty that seems useless and the level of urgency and ability to fix the issue is low. I would NOT recommend purchasing from P.C. Richard.

    I purchased a Maytag washer/dryer with two years of service, ten days past the two years the dryer breaks, repair cost was 319.00, two months later the washer breaks 331.00 to repair, while waiting for the repair the dryer breaks. I set up an appointment for the 24th. The repair guy shows up unscheduled fixes the dryer 131.00, I wasn’t home to pay him since he came unscheduled.

    Finally my housekeeper turns on the washer IT DOESNT WORK AGAIN. I called the service department AGAIN and they tell me they can’t send a repairman because I have balance for today's Unscheduled work. Had to pay over the phone to be able to schedule an appointment for repair that they performed that was done incorrectly. WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT. Was on the phone for more than an hour, asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I couldnt. Never again will step foot in a PC Richard store ever again.

    We purchased a GE refrigerator from P.C. Richard with an extended warranty. In August the ice maker stop working then in October it stopped cooling. As of this date 12/17/18 they have been to repair the refrigerator 4 times. We have lost food each time which is not covered by the warranty. For almost 2 months now we have been using a cooler with ice. I would not recommend buying any appliances from P.C. Richard even with an extended warranty. Not only have we lost hundreds of dollars in food but we almost lost thousands of dollars in medication that has to stay cool.

    Not crazy about this dryer. What I've noticed using this dryer, is that it takes more time and hotter temperatures to get my clothes dry. (We are sure that it's not too close to the wall and the vent is fine.) Also, not happy with the vent duct that PC Richard sold. Said it was 8 feet long, turned out it was 6' and it broke completely as the installer tried to install it (wasted money on that duct). Also, we didn't need the gas line that was required to buy for free delivery. NOTE: If you purchase online, YOU MUST CALL ANOTHER PHONE number to arrange installation. It is NOT done when the appliance is delivered.

    The phone rep never mentioned that, and he also did not inform me that the existing dryer needed to be disconnected (NOT by PC Richard) before the old dryer will be taken away. Fortunately, my husband could uninstall it AND fortunately the delivery men waited for him to finish before leaving with the old dryer. Very surprised that PC Richard will not allow an honest opinion to get onto their website.

    They sell products that don't have in stock. Their message said to allow "2-3 weeks for delivery". After 2.5 weeks passed, I reached out to them, only to find out, that their statement was a LIE. They never intended to deliver the product in "2-3 WEEKS" as it's written on the website, simply because they don't have the product! It's not the first time it happened after placing order online. BE AWARE, THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WILL LIE STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE. Will never hold to their promise. They don't care if you buy product with promotional price (as it was on other websites too) and now the same product somewhere else is much more expensive.     My GE washing machine purchased at the Bay Ridge PC Richard & Son needed repair because the start button was stuck. The GE maintenance repairman ordered the part but it was on back order for about two months. The PC Richard staff looked into the matter and immediately offered an exchange for a new replacement.

    The Bay Ridge store manager, Mr Martin **, was extremely professional and courteous as he helped me select an replacement washing machine to be delivered and installed the very next day. This was not the firest assistance I received from Mr. Goetz as earlier this year I had an emergency with my home stove, requiring a 911 call. I had to purchase a new stove and Mr. ** and Mr. ** were both incredibly patient and helpful as I decided on the most suitable appliance for my budget and cooking needs.

    Mr. **'s knowledge of the appliances within the PC Richard & Son store, coupled with his courteous professionalism and respect for client service are the reason for my five stars. I have been very happy with the many high quality appliances purchased at PC Richard throughout the years; but the customer service of Mr. ** will always bring out family back to the Bay Ridge location.

    Had a new KitchenAid dishwasher delivered, used once per instructions, the dishes were dirty, and pod did not dissolve. Called for service and was told need a new inlet value, this is a brand new dishwasher! Called PC Richards, who referred me to Service - I told them, I want a new dishwasher. A brand new dishwasher should not have to have parts replaced. They told me, no, that they have to replace the part and then possible exchange for a new dishwasher. That does not make sense, not only am I inconvenienced for at least another week, it does not bode well for this dishwasher that it's damaged out of the box. I was told to take it up with KitchenAid. What kind of customer service is that!

    My LG fridge which was purchased in 2014 brand new went on Thanksgiving. Had to throw away all food in fridge and freezer. Took them over a week to get all parts in. Came out to replace the compressor and motherboard. Woke up next day to a completely warm fridge and freezer. Called them. They cancelled the appointment and told me would squeeze me in the next day. Now this has been 2 weeks today in which I have no fridge and had to throw out food 2 times in a 2 week period. They are not helpful at all! I can never get a manager on the phone. I have a family and a child to feed with a fridge I can’t keep food in therefore have been eating out and I can’t get any compensation on lost food. I will never buy another appliance or waste money on an extended warranty. Still waiting for this to be fixed!!!

    I bought a 70 inch tv and waited to have it delivered. Once calling Pilot (their shipping company) to schedule delivery, I was informed that they can only deliver from the hours of 11-5pm Monday-Friday. They cannot give a more specific range, so you're stuck waiting at home all day. The problem is I work Monday - Friday and at least part of my shift is during this time. They suggested I take a PTO day to receive delivery. When I called spoke to a supervisor I was told it would cost 150 dollars to ship the tv back to them as I told them if it would be this much trouble I didn't want it. I asked for Saturday delivery and was told by the supervisor they would charge me 115 dollars on top of the 75 I already paid for shipping!!! EXTREMELY POOR Customer Service - Please buy from Amazon or Best Buy and save yourself the headache. I had to take the day off just to receive delivery!

    I recently purchased a cabinet with fireplace insert. As I started to assemble the piece I found that the manufacturer had omitted a piece. I repeatedly tried (without success) to get the missing piece from the manufacturer whose customer service is the WORST I have ever dealt with.     Purchased the Playstation Spiderman bundle on November 23 2018 online for store pickup in Carle Place as in store pickup was the only option. I was informed that my purchased product would be held for seven days and then refunded if not picked up by then. I arrived on November 26 2018 to pick up my Playstation bundle and was notified that due to a “lot of people wanting it” my bundle was sold and not held. I was then told a new PlayStation bundle was available and even though it was one hundred dollars more I agreed to buy. I was ready to buy it and was again told that the purchase will not go through because it is not authorized for sale yet. I was told to watch the weekly paper and when I see the PlayStation for sale to come all the way back again. I left the store empty handed and with two sobbing kids in the car who were excited to play with the Spiderman bundle and were left disappointed.

    Purchased TV and SoundBar in Oceanside store last Sunday, 11/25. Salesman set up delivery and install date for 12/1. Called last night to find out time frame and automated system has no record of order. Called store this morning and was told, "Oh item is on backorder and not sure when it will be in". Well, why did you give me a 12/1 install date, why charge my CC at that point if item may not be in for some time? When speaking to salesman kept asking, "Didn't you read invoice?" Bunch of crap, only interested in his commission. Be cautious of this store, only buy if you can take product with you.

    Updated on 01/08/2019: On November 29, 2018 I was forced to make a complaint on this website regarding a floor model refrigerator that I purchased in 2014, that after numerous attempts were unable to be repaired by technicians. According to the warranty and a customer rep I spoke with initially a store credit was issued however when I got to the store I was told the credit was only for another unit which became a huge problem because after being told that I was granted store credit I went and purchased a new unit somewhere else.

    The rep did not tell me that the credit was for another unit, as well as per the warranty for floor models store credit is issued anyways. Service manager Kevin ** agreed to issue a 1x courtesy gift card due to the whole confusion however since then until now I have yet to receive that gift card. I’ve sent numerous emails to him, and has left messages and has not received any responses, as a matter of fact the last response I received from him was that my current address that I’ve given the warranty customer reps many times was not put into the system, and the address he had on file was the address I had when the unit was purchased.

    I don’t know if it was mailed out, or that I was told that I will be given the credit via gift card to shut me up; however this whole experience has been totally unprofessional and I am sorry that I ever went to a P.C. Richard, and I definitely should have not bought a floor model. I started to call the warranty again today however it looks as though I have to accept the fact that even though they eventually owned up to the warranty/credit issues my case just isn’t worth it to the company to resolve even though I was told that a gift card will be issued with the purchase price of the unrepairable unit on November 29, 2018 by Kevin ** (service manager).

    Original Review: Bought a floor model Frigidaire with extended warranty, they came out to fix numerous times, and deemed it couldn’t be repaired. I was told that I will receive store credit but not that I had to buy another Fridge with it so I purchased a fridge elsewhere. Now the company is telling me that I have to only buy a fridge, with my store credit that they never said specifically before, and I have only 30 days to do it, so if I can’t afford to use my credit towards another fridge that I now don’t need I lose it. The warranty is a scam, it specifically says in the contract that for display models store credit is issued, it does not say nor was I told when granted the credit I have to buy another refrigerator from them. My last time doing business there, I heard stories but never listened, now I’m screwed!

    Worst mistake I made by getting involved with these bunch of ineffectual sorry excuse for customer service. I have been dealing with them nearly a month with no resolution. Keep getting a round around, keep getting incompetent contemptible people, who just continue to read off their screen. Wanted to dispute just a simple transaction, and since English is such difficult language to understand, they disputed the whole account. Now I'm unable to pay my bill and it's messing up with my promotional purchases. Instead of paying it off with no interest, I'm being forced to pay 23.99%. Not ONE person knows how fix this or is it done on purpose?

    Can't wait to pay this card off and forget them like it was a nightmare.

    Bought a Frigidaire Gallery stove on the 17th of November and had it delivered on the 18th. Everything went fine, the salesman was awesome and the delivery smooth. We needed a stove before Thanksgiving as my old one was not working and PC Richard was able to deliver it before the holiday. On Thanksgiving eve we're getting everything ready for the next day because we had 19 people coming over and we wanted to start early. So we turned the oven on for the first time and to my shock it wouldn't turn on! We did everything the manual told us to do and nothing. Needless to say Thanksgiving was ruin!

    Went to the store the next date to find out that PC Richard has a no return policy on item that are opened. (If I knew that I would never had bought this product.) Plus the item came in the box and the delivery guys unboxed it, making it unreturnable. The salesman told my wife that we would have to wait until the 5th of December to have someone look at the product, not repair it, but look at it! I bought a two year protection plan but still have to wait two weeks before someone could look at it.

    The irony in this is that I work at Best Buy as a appliances salesman. Our policy is that a item could be returned within 15 days of purchase and thought most places were the same, my bad for assuming these things. I only went to PC because they were able to get it to me before Thanksgiving. As a Salesman I would never bad mouth a competitor because things happen, I judge them on how things get resolved. I will update my review after things are settled hopefully, but as of right now I'm pissed and very frustrated. A lemon should be exchange without question, what if I didn't have that protection plan?

Richard that my part that was in is actually not in so my service appointment that was scheduled for tomorrow was cancelled. We are in week 5 since P.C. Richard first serviced my washing machine. I was told that the part was "in" when THEY called me to set up the service appointment... Now it's not in?? What does that even mean P.C. Richard? Yes it's now two days before Thanksgiving and I have no washing machine and I am ripping mad.

    Purchased Electrolux washer and dryer set for apartment September 5th, by October 12th, dryer heating component in dryer unit stopped working. Here's a preview of what to expect from P.C. Richard & Son's 109 years of "honesty, integrity, and reliability". My situation is all under the condition of two under 4 aged sons with lots of laundry to go through and persistent follow ups with PCR&S.

    10/12 - appointment lead time was 11 days. No other options after multiple calls and being sent on a wild goose chase calling 3rd party repair service directly for earlier appointment (Aid Service - which has its own record of 1-star complaints, why work with them?). 10/17 - Still no answers from Aid Service. Local PCR&S store rep left voicemail with no other options than 10/23 service date. How did they get hold of Aid Service? 10/23 - One technician showed up and took one look, said unable to service and that it needed to be exchanged. Informed next steps with follow up with PCR&S. 10/24 - Followed up with PCR&S store, they did not receive paperwork from technician, so they can't do anything.

    10/25 - Called PCR&S store back and was notified that it was not serviced because technician couldn't unstack the unit himself. If it needed to be unstacked and they knew the model being serviced, why did they send only one technician? Perhaps ask that I do it myself to expedite the process? I would have asked a friend to unstack it together. 10/26 - Received voicemail that a part needed to be ordered in order to service the unit and two repairmen will come service the unit.

    10/30 - Repairmen showed up outside of agreed servicing window (childcare timing headache). Repairmen didn't unstack the units. No attempts to repair. They needed a new part to repair the unit. So why did two repairmen show up to tell us what the voicemail already said? Called PCR&S after appointment and they said best case scenario is that the part will come 11/1 or 11/2. 11/5 - AM Follow ups indicates part will not show up until 11/14. PM received email saying there's a delay on the ordered part. So is the part coming 11/14? Or it's coming after 11/14?

    11/18 - Called local PCR&S for updates. The woman cuts me off from my inquiries and as if it's a repeated statement, tells me to call servicing department Monday 9am as that's when they open. Her tip to me was to call at 9:20am, as most people don't get into the office until 9:10 or 9:15am. So much for a 9am start time? Beyond that, she did not want to hear anything else and repeatedly told me she "don't make the rules, I just work here". Zero updates obtainable from her, not even tracking info for the part I'm waiting on.

    It's been 1 month since we've informed PCR&S of the issue. Common online forums points to exchange or repair of said heating component. All calls and interactions with PCR&S have been met with statements such as: "There's nothing we can do for you", "I can't help you, call servicing department", "I didn't create the company policy, I can't help you".

    Customer service that repeats "I can't help you" - not helpful at all. Why spend the money on this department if they don't even want to do what they're hired to do? Whatever happened to honesty, integrity, and reliability? PCR&S have shown none of them through all customer servicing touch points with me, only defensive employees who won't take ownership of their job roles as "customer service representatives" and would rather customers get sent on an endless loop of wild goose chase than to attempt to demonstrate "honesty, integrity, and reliability" to help me solve the issue together. I'm a very friendly and non-agitated customer when things go wrong, but PCR&S's customer service is really frustrating me.

    My wife and I have been air/fan drying all of our family's clothing for the past month and we are continuing to do so through the holidays until PCR&S have decided that they should demonstrate integrity for the quality of products and services they claim to sell and reliability in trust and communications with customers like myself. I hope this review will help potential customers to think carefully about who they support with their hard earned dollars.

    I wished I could have spent my dollars with a company that provides true customer care when things go wrong - acknowledge and listen to my pain points and address them accordingly. I hope this review is the beginning of that acknowledgment for better business practices. Don't shut me out as soon as I've given you my money. Help me find solutions together. Don't waste your employees'/vendors' time and I won't waste yours with these follow up calls and reviews because I don't trust what you're doing.

    We purchased an oven and dishwasher from them that part went very well. Set up delivery, delivery guys were extremely nice and helpful until the oven box was open and the inside glass was broken. It went downhill from there. Dealing with customer service who only upset me more. Customer service told me there’s nothing they can do. I’d have to wait until an open delivery slot was available and to hook my old oven back up if I needed one. Unacceptable!! They tried to tell me that since their warehouse is in another state from me that it was too far. Sorry customer service jerk your 42 mins from me.     BUYER BEWARE of PC RICHARDS. After 8 months and 10 phone calls of trying to get repair service I finally got a repairman in October 2018 for Frigidaire Appliances purchased in February. After repairman was unable to fix new refrigerator and dishwasher, store manager at this store refused to exchange. Said we had to get another repair company or call manufacturer. This was after my wife and I went to store to exchange for more expensive units which we were happy to pay the difference to get something better. Giving up on being satisfied with this purchase. It won't happen. Time to move on.

    Dear Potential Victims of P.C. Richard, Many years ago, this company was something a consumer could value, trust, and depend upon. Not only does P.C. Richard provide substandard service, but the store manager of the Woodbridge, NJ store is heartless, unempathetic, rude, disrespectful, money-driven, and a downright bully.

    Yesterday, I contacted P.C. Richard seeking help regarding a $2,500 purchase I made in September 2018. I requested P.C. Richard's help in remounting my brand new television because I have to switch apartments and I'm not financially able to pay an additional $400 for the service since it's just been a couple of weeks. Furthermore, their wall mounting subcontractor took the television's box contents and original stand which will not allow me to place the television and Bose Soundbar on a television stand.

    As I explained this unforeseen circumstance over the phone with the Woodbridge Store Manger, he constantly interrupted me and continued to SCREAM (on speaker) that "NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS FREE HONEY" and that "I HAVE TO PAY THE FULL $400 REGARDLESS." Immediately, I was brought to tears and disconnected the call. I contacted the P.C. Richard Customer Service line at 866-396-8254 and spoke with T-Keisha, in tears, to explain what I just experienced and T-Kiesha said that I "have to speak with him" and "there's nothing that anyone else in the company can do to help me" and that I "am good". Please take heed to my warning to not patronize this company and its outdated claim of social responsibility, integrity, and reliability as they applaud the male chauvinistic conduct of its leadership.

In fact, since I was having a contractor install everything, I told them to leave the door off the fridge and the contractor would take care of it. Unfortunately, that is not PC Richard & Son Policy - such is life. They came back after calling management and installed the doors and the fridge in the proper space. Everything was done perfectly. It could not have been better. In my opinion, you should financially reward those who deliver more merchandise per day on average than their co-workers to make sure they stay with you. Not everyone is suited to delivering big items quickly and dealing with difficult people, hence my suggestion.

    I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio wash machine on May 29, 2017 and it stopped working on October 14, 2018. I purchased the two year warranty with PC Richards and the service company came four days after I called but only to take a look at the wash machine. When I called in for service I told them the flashing code numbers but I guess that was not enough. Now I have wait another week. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have to be inconvenienced!!! What kind of service company is this that they do not have parts. How does a wash machine stop working after a year and half? Are these appliances used and resold or broken. I just don't get it!!!

    Kitchenaid Refridgerator purchased in 07/2017. Had service on 08/13/2018 for frost buildup in unit. 09/19/18 reported same problem. Three weeks later nobody seems to understand how to fix it or what part to order! Bought the extended 10 year warranty. Every time I call the 1800 number I am told the supervisor left, is at lunch, or the part is due in that day... Problem is each time you get a different person/supervisor.     My 14 month old Kitchenmaid fridge is malfunctioning. When we press the dispenser for ice, water come out of the water side. The water goes all over the fridge and my floor. The finish on the stainless steel door is completely ruined and is showing rust spots. I bought the extra service plan and P.C. Richard is suppose to stand behind their product. However, they keep throwing if back that it the manufacturers' fault. They won't replace the fridge because it's "cosmetic". But I explained this was caused from the "mechanical" problem. They are rude and nasty when I call the service number. Horrible! Finally got the Customer Service Manager, who was nice. I've been told they will order new doors but will take 6-8 weeks. Better than nothing I guess, but the "reliable" service I was expecting from this company has not met my expectations.

    In December 2017 we purchased our Samsung dryer and matching washer. Nine months later, it shuts off after 3 minutes. I have called the 1-800 repair service and the earliest they can come out is 10 days after I called!!! And that’s just to look at it, I’m sure they will have to order the part(s) and wait for that to come in, schedule a time to come back and fix it. We are potentially looking at 3 weeks without a dryer I’ve had for less than a year.

    In addition, I have been chasing these people for three days now, trying to see if there’s any way someone could come sooner. They said they would have someone call me and no one has and I even called the manager (Rich) at the Manchester, CT store where I purchased the appliance to see if he could help and he never called me back. This by far is the WORST customer service I ever dealt with. First, going without a dryer (that I paid a lot of money for) for potentially 2-3 weeks with a family is quite difficult but the fact that no one has called me back in the three full days I’ve been dealing with this is despicable. I will be sure to NEVER use PC Richard again for any future purchases.

    I went 1 time to the store near me in New Jersey. It just was not the same. This is the only store I shop for my appliances and ** is the only guy I talk directly to. I always buy the warranties because sometimes they def payout. My 52 inch tv had a problem I think 2 years in. They came and took care of it for me. The P.C. Richard card is great.     As the owner of several rental properties, I have purchased several appliances with PC Richard over the years. The salespeople are always very nice and a couple of times honored sales prices when the sale was over. However, there always seems to be a problem when it comes to delivery and installation. Parts needed are either wrong or missing, then everything has to be rescheduled. Such a waste of time and effort for me and PC Richard.     I have spent quite a bit of money at PC Richard. Last year I purchased a new bed, not even a year later bed had a large indentation. I called the service dept. A couple of days later a tech showed up at my house, he spend a half hour taking measurements. He left and gave some paperwork. I never received any phone calls. WELL 3 MONTHS GOES BY SO I CALLED THE PHONE NUMBER ON PAPERWORK. Called 6 times could not reach anyone, called corporate also. So I went to store and spoke with store manager. Said someone would call me back soon, well here it is a week later. No call!!! I will never shop any PC Richard again.

    My Samsung refrigerator has been repaired 1/10/18 (new ice maker) 6/22/18 (new ice maker) twice in July (refrigerator section was running 57 degrees repairman fixed portion of it still ran warm (45 degrees) parts were ordered specifically back panel sensor and fan). Now again repairman came on Tuesday has to again replace back panel and sensor was told on Wednesday part would be in Thursday. It is now Saturday still waiting for a part. I have run out of patience. Apparently there is a long list or requirements before they will pronounce an appliance unrepairable. Meanwhile here I wait.

    Updated on 09/21/2018: On 9/10/18 PC Richard emailed me to apologize for the inconvenience and would try to expedite the parts on order. On 9/14/18 again my refrigerator was fixed. All of this requiring me to take time off from work each time. Today 9/21/18 AGAIN my refrigerator is not functioning properly, again making loud whirring noise and temperature not correct. Called PC Richard this am and was told Samsung has to approve an exchange and I can make another service appt. This time the service appt will be with a 3rd party service company. That 3rd party service company came to fix my gas dryer the first week of August and in 90 degree weather he made me turn the heat on because he could not figure out how to light the pilot light on the dryer, which he was unable to fix anyway. Needless to say I am not hopeful this refrigerator will be fixed in the near future. I am disgusted with the runaround.

    I purchased an oven a couple years ago from P.C. Richard, recently the element caught on fire, Whirlpool came out and fixed it free of charge. PC Richard had came out and charged money for their 5 minute service call to tell us what we already knew, the element was bad. We were told from the beginning we wouldn’t be charged for anything because a fire could be very dangerous and Whirlpool stands behind their products and fixed it for us. 3 months later we got a bill from PC Richard charging us for coming out to look at it which costed more than what we would’ve paid Whirlpool to fix it. I’ve spent over $5000 collectively at PC Richard, got all my appliances, TV, etc. I have family now in the market looking for appliances and will no longer shop there and will make sure I NEVER recommend anyone to shop at PC Richard for their lack of empathy towards their customers.

    When I moved into my current house in 2014, I decided to replace all the major appliances in the kitchen. I went to P.C. Richard in the area, which was a new experience for me, having come from a part of my state where I'd never heard of them before. They had all the appliances I needed, including an induction range. I specifically wanted induction because I am physically handicapped, and the induction stove top does not actually heat up like most stoves. The burners absorb some heat from the pans that are actually what generates the heat, but it is not enough that you can get a bad burn on it if you fall and land on a burner. On top of the fact that they had even the one induction range in stock, which was unusual at the time for appliance dealerships, they offered me an excellent credit arrangement, which allowed me to pay for the appliances over three years without paying any interest on the credit.

    I was happy at the purchase end, which appears to be the case with a majority of the folks who respond here. The great majority appear to be speaking of their response regarding satisfaction with the purchase. I think, to be honest, it is almost silly to give a retailer too much credit for doing what retailers are supposed to do, though. People carry on about how wonderful P.C. Richards is, simply because their salespeople were helpful with the sales and the purchases were delivered in a reasonably timely fashion. In all honesty, that is what retailers are supposed to do, and to carry on about it as if it were a marvel when it happens strikes me as almost silly. I had similar good fortune with the purchases, and while I couldn't reasonably lessen my respect for the company tied to that, it far from makes up for the more important issue tied to appliance sales, and that is product support when things go foul down the road.

    That is where a company either makes it or fails, and I can say without doubt, after my experiences, I will never use P.C. Richard again for purchase of anything. I purchased a refrigerator, over-the-stove microwave, and dishwasher in addition to the stove. I have had no problem with any of the other appliances that I could not deal with readily by reading the owner's manual or calling the manufacturer (they were all Samsung appliances). The stove unfortunately proved to be a different thing. Of course, the fact that the other appliances have worked fine for four years is tied more to the manufacturer than to the seller, but in dealing with the problems, I purchased a ten year warranty through P.C. Richard for the range and refrigerator, and my experience in using those has been sad, to say the least.

    I had problems with the stove the first time within a few months of purchase. As I am physically handicapped, I have times when I am too distracted to do much cooking, and I find other ways to eat. As such, I had not even used the stove much when it went sour the first time. In all honesty, as things turned out, the stove stopped working because a metal bus bar melted in my breaker box. It allowed the stove to get just enough current to light the lights, so I had no idea the power was out, but there was not a 240 W service required to operate a stove. The problem was that even the P.C. Richard repairman, who is supposed to be a professional, failed to recognize the problem was tied to the electrical supply until they went as far as providing me with a second, brand new stove, only to find that it did not work any better, and it continued to show the same error code.

    Of course, I cannot blame them for that problem, and they did go as far as providing me with a second, new stove, but it took the better part of a month without me having availability of a stove to use to cook meals before I was able to cook again, and I think that is absurd. I have used other private appliance repair services and found the work to be done the next day in both cases. The repairman would come out one day to analyze the appliance and take a day to get the parts needed for the repair, and I was back to business in one day--not one month! Beyond that, even though I had purchased a ten year warranty, they promptly informed me that the warranty was null and void because they had to replace the appliance. That was absurd, given that I had only had it for a few months, and to that point it was well within the manufacturer's warranty period, and there really wasn't anything wrong with the stove at all.

    It was as if I, a private home owner, should have been the one to recognize there was a problem with the power supply to the stove, rather than the professional repairman who worked for P.C. Richard. As far as I am concerned, it is his lack of attention or knowledge that resulted in P.C. Richard replacing a perfectly sound appliance. Once the new stove showed the same error code, it struck me as obvious that it must be a problem with the power. I called my electrician to come check it out, he repaired the breaker panel, and the new stove worked fine. So I had two issues with that first interaction with P.C. Richard's repair services. The first was that it took a month of waiting for parts and scheduled repair visits and one cancelled repair visit before they got around to dealing with my problem.

    The second was that, in the end, they replaced a perfectly good appliance, rather than to recognize it was a problem with the electricity, and then wanted me to have wasted my investment in the ten year warranty, when that certainly was not my responsibility to figure out. They were the ones who made a mistake in giving me a new stove, and that even troubled me, because I do not like seeing major things turned into garbage like that, especially when it is not appropriate. And it is plainly as if these people who sell appliances don't recognize that it doesn't fit into life to have to go a full month without a functioning stove. Everything P.C. Richard does is plainly for the convenience of P.C. Richard and not the customer. You have a problem and you wait and wait until they can manage to get the parts and then fit it in their schedule to come to your house and work on the problem.

    I was able with significant forceful communication to get them to reconsider on my ten year warranty, and it recently became necessary for me to apply my service warranty to the same appliance. This experience was worse than the first. The curious thing was that right around the time the second failure occurred, I had pretty much decided it was time to get a different stove and that I would sell this one used to someone for a good deal, if they wanted to get their feet wet with the induction stove. My motivation was that I finally came to realize that for me working from a wheelchair, it was workable but far from convenient to have to reach across the stove top and steaming water or sputtering grease to reach the control panel on the back of the stove top. When I bought the stove, the technology was fairly new, and there were not many options in induction stoves.

    I came to realize that now there were better options, that included stoves with knobs on the front of the stove to control the stove top and two smaller ovens instead of one big one, so it would be convenient to bake at two different temperatures at the same time. In spite of my prior experience with P.C. Richard, I even still gave them the benefit of the doubt and looked to see if they offered any different induction range from what I had bought from them in the first place, but they did not. There came a sale through another company online for a GE induction range product that looked perfect for my use, and I purchased it before P.C. Richard had even started to try and repair the existing stove.

    Things were worse this time than the first. I gave them the stove error code over the phone. They assured me that let them know exactly what was wrong and what parts to get to repair it. I had to wait for the part to arrive and then to schedule an appointment with one of their repair staff. When he finally came, he took a look at the stove and left within five minutes, explaining that they had not ordered one of the parts he would need. He would put the part in for order and schedule an appointment to come back as soon as it was in. I waited well over a week for that, and then I got a phone voice mail that he had some personal problem and had to take the day off, so I would have to reschedule. Because of those delays, I had already had to delay shipment and installation of my new stove twice, as I was anxious to get this stove fixed so I could sell it, and I couldn't move it away from the power supply to replace it if they were to fix it.

    He finally came out with the new part, having left the first part ordered at my house that first day. He put the two parts in, and the stove still did not work. The breaker panel and the power supply to the stove were fine now. In response to all of that he took a closer look and finally found out what had afflicted the stove. A field mouse had found its way to the electrical connections on the back of the appliance and its tiny body was cooked to the terminals, basically shorting the stove out. He would have to order more parts, now to include a replacement power cable, and he would schedule a return visit to get the stove working. I had to delay the delivery of my new stove once again. I contacted an exterminator the next day, and within three days, my house had been treated to eliminate these pests which are just a part of life in the part of the country where I live.

    I waited this one more time for the parts to arrive and for an appointment with him to show up to make the repairs. It was presumed this would be final. He came and put all the parts together, and the stove still failed to function. He advised me that he had done what could be done and that P.C. Richard would credit the cost of the stove back to me in exchange for the option to purchase other items they sell. I had been without a stove for a month and had delayed delivery and installation of my new stove three times just to be told finally that the old stove I had purchased through P.C. Richard was beyond repair. I didn't want to take anything for granted, so I asked him if it would be okay for me to have the new stove delivered and hooked up. He said absolutely. He couldn't be certain when, but if I could have the installers put the Samsung stove in the garage, P.C. Richard would get around to sending someone to pick it up.

    Then he said he couldn't be absolutely certain they would go along with his recommendation, and they might want to try to fix it even though he was confident it was beyond repair. With that, I asked him again to assure me that I would be okay to get the new stove delivered and have the Samsung out in the garage, if someone might want to try to repair it. Of course I do not have a receptacle for an electric range out in my garage. He insisted that I would be fine and that I should get things set up so that I could cook, after a month of being unable. With that, I presumed he meant, that if P.C. Richard decided to attempt to repair the stove again, they would send staff adequate to move the new stove out of the way, put the Samsung back in place, just to assure it was truly repaired when they put any new parts in, and then reinstall the new stove and haul off the old one if it didn't work.

    It was surprising to me, but they had already put me through so much inconvenience for nothing, and he was so confident that the stove was beyond repair, that I took him on his word. I had already set up a delivery and installation of the new stove a few days later, hoping that the Samsung would have been successfully repaired, and the company from whom I bought the new stove had agreed to move the old one out into the garage for me, as I wanted to sell it. Once it seemed clear that the garage was the right place for the Samsung to be and that I could have the new stove installed, I just allowed the delivery to occur as it had been set up. The new stove has been in for a couple of weeks now and is working fine, with all the benefits I foresaw in making the change.

    So, of course, then it had to happen. Yesterday I got a text message from P.C. Richard that the parts were in, so I should call to schedule an appointment for the repair! I called the repair office shortly after getting that message, in order to explain the situation, that I had been informed the stove was not repairable, so I could have my new stove delivered and installed, and that they would need to send someone with the repairman to help move the two stoves if they were going to try to repair it. I informed them that the repairman had informed me that I should go ahead and get the new stove delivered and that my having the old one moved to the garage would not be a problem. I informed them that he did not believe the stove was repairable and that P.C. Richard would be sending someone to take the old stove from my garage.

    The young woman I spoke with was taken aback and did not know what to do with the information. She said she would have to speak with a manager and get back to me. That was unsettling enough, but then I got up this morning to find that I had received an email informing me that I had a scheduled repair on my P.C. Richard appliance and was given a particular date and time window! She had not gotten back to me as promised, at all. Instead, as if I was a non-person, they took to give me an appointment to repair an appliance that I had informed them was out in my garage, without even offering me discussion as to when the appointment fit in my schedule, as they always had previously.

    I was alarmed, to say the least. I called the repair office this afternoon after I got that message to talk to someone about the situation. I informed the fellow I spoke with that I am physically handicapped and cannot move the stove on my own. If it had not been for what the repairman had told me, I would have delayed my delivery, and had the stove moved out after repair, if there was any likelihood of an attempt at repair, but the repairman had assured me that was very unlikely and that it would not be a problem for me to have it delivered and the stove put out in the garage. I certainly would not have intentionally allowed it to be set up this way if I had not been assured by their employee, the repairman, that it was a sensible thing for me to do, because the movement of the old stove by the men who delivered and installed the new one was free, and I had no need to generate the cost of having people come to move the stoves.

    I informed him that I was troubled to see a company like P.C. Richard would allow people to go as long as a month without an appliance as essential as a stove, when they purchased it through P.C. Richard and have a service agreement, but that it was especially alarming when one employee of the company gave me, as a customer a clear cut understanding that I should comfortably behave in one way, and then I am told that regardless of what he said, I stand to lose for having done so. Then the fellow turned around and told me that he didn't believe I was ever told any such thing. The repairman wouldn't have told me that. He basically called me a liar. Then he tried to soften it by saying I must have misunderstood what he said. The implications were clear enough for me at the time that I made sure he repeated himself, and I had no doubt about what he said to me.

    So, here is a company that likes to make a profit selling stuff. The problem is that the sort of stuff they sell is designed not to last these days, so repair is essential. Unfortunately, their repair team is a sad mess. They do not understand that major appliances are a major necessity in modern life and requiring a customer to go a month or more without a functioning stove is just not acceptable. If they are as busy as their schedule suggests they must be, then they are understaffed despite apparently being successful, presumably for the purpose of augmenting profits at the cost of fair and adequate customer treatment and customer satisfaction.

    Now, close to six weeks from first contact, the stove continues to not work. They went as far as to try to blame me for the delay because the dysfunction was caused by a mouse, even though the finding of the mouse was only one of five scheduled repair visits, I had no means of knowing a mouse was back there (the repairman had been at the house three times when he finally found the mouse, and that is his job, not mine), and I had an exterminator in within several days of his finding that, even though the likelihood that a mouse will find its way there again in the future is slim to negligible. Then they scheduled an appointment for me without even seeking my input. I was informed that one agent would speak with managers and get back to me, but that never happened. Finally, I was called a liar.

    If the repairman had not told me what he did (and I don't hold it against him; I think he believed what he said), although I would have been stuck going closer to seven weeks without a stove, at least the presumably repaired stove (or not!) would have been moved out to the garage by the fellows who delivered the new stove at no cost to me. Now if I want to have the stove fixed, I have to pay someone to juggle the stoves, have the new functioning stove not where I can use it until P.C. Richard's repair staff feel like getting here to work on the old one (and presuming that will have any different effect than it has so far). Then I will have to pay someone to move the new stove back in. I am stuck with who knows how many weeks of not being able to cook, in spite of owning a brand new stove, and having things all out of order, just so P.C. Richard can have one more shot at fixing this stove that their repairman told me was beyond repair.

    If they manage to repair it, I will now have to pay someone to move it back into the garage so I can sell it. I am just disgusted and so happy to have learned my lesson about dealing with this company. If you want to feel all warm inside just because a salesman knows how to sell something, be my guest, but I think it's absolutely silly to read most of these reviews. The real test of the water comes not with purchase, when everything is new and shiny, but down the road, when you need assistance, and I have seen just how lame P.C. Richard is in providing service. I will never purchase anything from them again.

    Words cannot describe the pure disgust I have had with P.C. Richard & Son. The company puts an item up for sale that they never actually got, I make a purchase using PayPal. The company finally decides to cancel my order 4 days later after I had called and inquired about it. Fast forward 8 days later, I am missing money from my American Express still, but received partial refund in my PayPal balance. I spent 6 hours on the phone (this is not exaggerated) bouncing between American Express, PayPal, and P.C. Richard & Son. PC Richard said they called Amex to verify the transaction was cancelled so AMEX could release the funds. The CS rep I talked to confirmed over the phone that it was taken care of.

    A few minutes later I get another ghost charge from P.C. Richard & Son for the exact amount I was supposed to be refunded for. So now I am missing 2 charges of $400. The one thing I learned from the hours I wasted on this to get my money back from a company that never had the item to begin with is to avoid them at all costs. Everyone else should do the same.

    In July we purchased two Friedrich air conditioners from P.C. Richard at Broadway and 87th Street in Manhattan. The whole process of the installation for the air conditioners was a nightmare. Each time we had an appointment for the installation, we were told a time of arrival the day before and on the day of arrival we were given a different time. The first day the arrival time was delayed and delayed until it was beyond 7 pm when my apartment building would not allow any deliveries. A rescheduling resulted in the same pattern but they arrived in time to enter. The first air conditioner was installed without mishap. By the time they were ready to install the second air conditioner, I had to leave and left my son in charge with cash payment required for the men to fill in the open space in our casement window with Plexiglas because this air conditioner was smaller than the one it replaced.

    After the men installed the air conditioner they turned it on and found that it did not work. They left it in place and told my son that we had to schedule with our salesman for a replacement. The Plexiglas work they did was atrocious and they gouged and broke the tile on the window sill below the air conditioner. The air conditioner had big dents on its body as did the carton it came in which should have indicated to the installers that it might be defective. It took a while to reschedule the replacement but air conditioner does work. In the meantime I have to hire a professional to correct the Plexiglas work. I don't think the tile can be repaired. I understand P.C. Richard subcontracts to another company for installation but this should not be a reason for them to shirk responsibility for that company's actions. My advice is to never have P.C. Richard install an air conditioner unless you want untimely and shoddy service.

    It is rare for me but when I have a good experience with a dealer I want to let it be known. I was shopping online for a new large air conditioner and decided to stop into PC Richard in Orange CT to see what was available. I was met by Justin and we talked about my needs. He showed me my options and pricing. He had such a good positive attitude that I decided to write the order with him right there and then and gave up whatever bonus I could have earned through Ebates with an online purchase.

    We completed the sale, made arrangements for the delivery and found out that the delivery charge was cheaper on line so he made an adjustment to my purchase. The follow up on the sale and the call he made last night to confirm my delivery time continued to impress me. Today I received a call from the delivery company confirming my delivery time and I got a 30 minute warning call letting me know they were on the way. They ended up being about an hour late but it was so blistering hot that I could understand the delay. The guys quickly delivered my AC into my living room and took back my old unit for disposal.     Purchased an LG 49" smart TV at P.C. Richard Gateway Mall branch on 06/29/18, on getting home I discovered the TV was bigger than the TV stand I had in my bedroom. My husband suggested we get a bigger TV stand, but considering the extra cost we later decided to return the TV for a smaller size. Due to my husband tight schedule at work, we could not return the TV until 7 days/a week.

    Was surprised when the TV was plugged and was blanked. We never plug this TV in my house, not even once, because it doesn't fit where to be placed for testing. The branch manager of this branch is a suck, he only came to the scene and said there's nothing to be done that we should go with the TV despite one year manufacturer warranty. Continue to see this item in my house with the fact that I was charged for an item I did not use so much saddened my heart being my second terrible experience with P.C. Richard. Which someone can just take this trauma off me. My candid advice is be careful how you deal with them. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

    The staff just wants to sell products and warranties. Once sold if you have a problem you are on your own. Shortly after buying an LG Washer in 2013 I could not use the washer due to the push buttons were not engaging the machine to work. They came and fixed it. Two weeks. I don’t have the exact dates, but now 4 times the agitator has detached itself. The last time I called, on May 19, 2018, I spoke to Elisa in the service department. When I told her it’s the same problem as previous times, she said at that time she was going to order a pulsator. Two weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything. On June 10, 2018 I called service again and this time spoke to Kimberly. I expressed my frustration and told her I’d like to speak to a manager. She told me someone would call me back.

    Guess what? They didn’t, instead I received a text message saying that they will be on my house that Friday to fix the machine. The guy that came to my house walked in empty handed, no part and said he was going to glue the pulsator as a quick fix. Well today the part is broken again. I spoke to a Debra at the Lake Grove store and expressed that I would like to speak to a manager due to the service department is closed and as per their phone system, I was directed to speak to the store. Well the manager on duty was Randy. He wouldn’t come to the phone. I expressed that I work outside and was not able to call, all Debra would do was apologize. Now how stupid are these people? 4 houses, yep, I have 4 houses and for each one I used P.C. Richard. Not anymore. I have to say, now I go to Home Depot. Much better service.

    I have been a long time customer of P.C. Richard & Son. I am having serious issues with the service center. My refrigerator needs to a part and when they came to my house for the service call it was the wrong part. They told me they would order the part and it would be here this week. It's now a week later and they are telling me it's on back order. All the things in my refrigerator are going bad. Every time I call the service center they put me on hold and then hang up. Strangely, our new refrigerator arrived terribly damaged (nobody's fault - came out of the box that way), but this is where we got to experience what a great company they are. Not only did they allow us to use the damaged refrigerator while we waited for the replacement, but the delivery guys absolutely killed themselves installing the replacement and left us completely overwhelmed with their efforts - even in a heatwave, no negative attitudes whatsoever.     Bought an Air conditioner here and delivery was supposed to be delivered during a certain time frame. Took a day off of work and the delivery people kept on calling that they would came later and later until it was too late and building wouldn't let them in. Calling the store - 53 West 23rd Street for over two hours. They put me on hold, they hand upon me, no one will give me a Manager or a Manager's name. So Mad. I would fire every single Manager in that store. Total incompetence. There talk about service and all that is just **. Do not but anything at this store. Also, when you call the customer service general number you can't get thru. Don't buy at P.C. Richard & Son. Spoke to other people about this and they said they had the same problem.

    Less than two years ago I bought a refrigerator at the Grand Concourse store in the Bronx. I paid for two years warranty. In less than a year, I had problems with the fridge door in three occasions. A month ago I called service department for the same problem. They have been making excuses about the reparation. I am so frustrated because after being waiting for about a month they told me that they ordered a door and it takes from six to eight weeks to get the door. In the meanwhile I cannot put anything in it because my food get spoilt. I talk to several workers from the service department (Travis, Pricilla and others). They promise me that they will try to help me with it. However, they even did not call me back. One of their suggestion was to buy a small fridge until they fix it. This is ridiculous because a refrigerator is an everyday need not something that you can stay months without it.

    On October 20, 2016, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (Model RF18HFENBSR) and opted for the Extended Service production Plan. On May 27, 2018 we noticed that the upper refrigerator didn’t seem to be at a “safe” cooling level. It was monitored for a couple of days and we realized by Friday (June 1st) that there was a problem. (The freezer compartment was not affected.) I did not recall at that time that we had purchased the Extended Service Protection Plan and on May 24th, I called Samsung to determine if they could offer us any suggestions. They were not able to assist me.

    On Friday, May 27th, we stopped in at the PC Richard store to determine the process for servicing the refrigerator and that was when we were reminded that the Extended Service Protection Plan was purchased at the time the Samsung was purchased. We were given a number to call to schedule service. The recorded message advised that the service department was closed due to the Memorial Day Holiday and would open on Tuesday, May 30th. I connected with the service department on Tuesday and was given an appointment for Friday, June 1st. On Friday the technician arrived, took one look inside the refrigerator and said he knew just what was wrong, but he didn’t have the part on this truck and it would take 10 days to be delivered.

    On the 15th of June, we had not heard anything about the part and decided to go to the store. We asked to see a manager and we were introduced to Gabby. She immediately took us to a part that offered us the opportunity to tell her about our experience. She was able to determine that the part had come in, but a piece of the component was damaged, so a 2nd part was ordered but it would take an additional 10 days to get to PCR Service. She also mentioned that she was going to explore getting us a new Samsung refrigerator.

    We attempted to live with a cooler for our food, however, that was unsuccessful resulting in spoiled food that was thrown out. We were uncertain that the ice chest was able to provide the temperatures needed to keep the food safe, so we decided we should trash all of it and go shopping again when the problem was resolved. We would appreciate some compensation for this.

    On Wednesday, June 13th, we again went to PCR and sat with Gabby. Having not heard any status on the reordered parts, we asked her if she could arrange for us to take a replacement refrigerator. She immediately got approval for this and worked with the warehouse so we could get delivery on Thursday, June 14th.

    We are very impressed with Gabby and her “can-do” attitude as well as her knowledge. She was very helpful and we hope that this review provides you sufficient details to acknowledge her within your company.

    I purchased a refrigerator for an apt. I order it by the SPECS, Barry my salesman, pulled up on the PC Richard's computer. I ordered it because I liked the refrigerator based on the specs, as they did not have one on the floor. They delivered it to the apt, when I arrived I saw it was not to the specs I had ordered, I went over to the store and manager Eric said, "That was an error. Someone typed it wrong. I'll speak to district manager Monday and we will call you."

    Well no one called me so I went over to the store. Barry went home and didn't answer my call and Eric never came out to speak to me. I was told I could get another fridge for a 1000. which I don't want to spend. I told them, "You made your problem my problem." I called my credit co and told them to hold payment, while I shop for fridge at another store. They were not nice and not very courteous. They acted like it was a common occurrence so no big deal, very disappointed. Will never shop at PC Richard's again. This is the first time I had a problem with the Francis Lewis Blvd NY store.

    After renovating we decided to install a wall unit to save window space. Knowing Friedrich had a good reputation we decided on the model necessary to work in the measurements we needed to cool the space. We had an electrician come and wire it independently and correctly. Went to PC Richard's and purchased the unit (model# WS15D30A Friedrich Wall air-conditioner). Installed the unit and it worked just fine. Quite loud but got the space cooled down fast. Always shut it down at bedtime as it wasn't necessary to leave it on. First season no problem here in NY. Closed it down/cleaned filters and wrapped it up for the winter. Next spring open it up and after maybe 3 days of use the compressor gave up.

    I had not purchased the extended warranty and it was now 13 month after purchase date. So frustrating. Bought the updated replacement of the original...because we needed a machine to fit the Friedrich dedicated sleeve. Purchased extended 3 yr. warranty from PC Richard's and got it installed. It worked 1 season! Turned it on for the first time 6/8/18 just 1 year after we bought it and it died after running only 2 hours on $ Saver setting. Won't come on period. So now PC Richard's is sending a service tech here in a couple of days with what I hope is a replacement immediately. These machines are expensive. Consumers shouldn't expect 1 year only after spending near $1000.00. Terribly disappointed. Can I expect it last? Keeping my fingers crossed...what are the chances? I will say PC Richard's was helpful and pleasant in getting me set up for service ASAP.

    I am writing this since this is the last resource before I put a formal complaint at the BBB. I have bought the extended warranty because I wanted to protect my investment (Samsung Refrigerator) however it has been a nightmare. I just schedule the fourth repair and every time that they send a new repairman they change the same piece over and over again. However today I was told that they must reschedule since no one was at home. Hence my wife took PTO just for it. The technician claims that he ran the bell and no one was at home and within 5 minutes he is gone from my place.

    I call the tech who has no manners and then I call the service center to deal with Mrs. ** who wants to blame all on us. She puts me on hold for almost 15 minutes just to tell me that the tech cannot come back. It took 15 minutes to heard that I need to reschedule while my milk, veggies and all the necessary stuff goes to waste for another week. Once again this is the fourth time going through this nonsense. We have wasted more time on waiting to be service and spend more money between the food that is no longer good and restaurants than a simple solution from this company. I hope that someone in upper management reads this sees my record and brings a final solution to this saga. I am just looking to have a normal unit nothing else. Thank you.

    I have previously made several purchases at PC Richard and been satisfied each time. This time there was an problem but I was left me more than satisfied. We were remodeling our kitchen and worked with Salesman Anthony **, who was informative, easy to work with, made sure we received a good price (including finding not well publicized rebates) for a KitchenAid refrigerator, oven and microwave. Soon after they were delivered I noticed frost forming in the freezer. I contacted the store the Tuesday before Memorial Day and informed them. Within 48 hours they had sent service techs to our house and determined that the seals were not tight enough and offered to replace it.

    We were resigned to the fact that given the holiday weekend we would have to be without a refrigerator (and working ice and water while the sink was out of commission due to the remodel) until sometime well after the holiday. However soon after the service techs left (on a Thursday afternoon) I received a call from the store which proceeded to schedule delivery of the replacement that Saturday. By Saturday afternoon we had a working refrigerator (with ice and water!). The true measure of a company is not how they do when things go perfectly, but how they respond when they do not (even though the issue with the refrigerator was clearly not their "fault"). I was delighted with the response and far more than satisfied with my purchases, our salesman and the service.

    I bought a washer and dryer. First the dryer's base was broken and I had to pull teeth to get them to come out to replace it. I also bought a water purifier for the machine that would allow me to use cold water only. Not the case. When that was hooked up, the washer stopped working. Took them three trips to fix the problem. Washer just broke again and they don't service my area so they are sub-contracting it and the subs can come out for a week. In the meantime, I have a washer with wet clothes and no way to get them out of it. I would rather hand wash my clothes than purchase another piece of equipment from them. Sales are great, but service is absolutely horrible. I should have followed my first instincts and bought from Sears.

    I purchased a washer and dryer from P.C. Richard on Ralph Ave 2 yrs ago and paid for them to install everything for the gas. Then on 4/16/18 the dryer caught a fire in the basement and I called the Fire Department to put out the fire. The Fire Department informed me that the vent was installed wrong and they're surprised my house didn't burn down. Then I had to call the gas company to disconnect the gas line and they said I should be fined for the hook up being wrong, but I didn't do it. P.C. Richard's people installed the gas dryer. I then called Samsung, who blamed P.C. Richard and PC Richard's store manager and headquarters said; it was too old for them to be liable. My damages was all out of my pocket including me now needing a new dryer. Extremely annoyed by the treatment, because me and my family could have died in a fire and they didn't care.

    Took out the extended warranty offered by PC Richard on every appliance I bought from them. LG Washer electronics broke after exactly 3 years of use. This happened on a Sunday. A technician could not come until the following Wednesday. He came and diagnosed the problem as needing a new electronic board and said he would put a rush on it for Friday. Part still has not arrived at their warehouse. It is a week since the technician came and 11 days since my washer broke. Once the part arrives they still will schedule to install it so I am looking at more than 2 weeks with no washer. In a time when next day or 2 day delivery is possible from many companies this makes no sense that it is taking so long. Will not be purchasing from PC Richard again and would advise others to do also.

    Updated on 06/28/2018: In 2015 I purchased 3 LG Appliances from PC Richard and the 10 yr Extended Warranty. May 2018 the washer broke requiring a new electronic board. Called service on a Sunday, technician came out on Wednesday to diagnose problem. It took them 3 weeks after that to get part to fix machine. Here it is June of 2018 and the refrigerator broke showing an error code E rF for refrigerator fan not working. Called for service and was told the parts would come with technician this time because there was a code. Took 4 days to get a technician here this morning and all he did was take pictures and order the parts. I am being told it may take 5 more days to get parts in and schedule to install them after that. Don't buy LG and Don't buy from PC Richard. Horrible service department.

    Omar answered the phone when I called. After two months of my husband and me discussing what to do - going to Lowe's and having them come measure, we still could not make a decision and figure out what would work. They needed to bring the washing machine underneath a deck which, unfortunately, is probably only four feet off the ground, making it impossible to stand up underneath it.

    To make matters worse, they then had to bring it through a window which was at ground level. They were efficient, personable, and performed a very difficult delivery and set-up with a smile and made sure I was satisfied with everything before they left. Also, the door to the laundry room had been removed so that the unit would fit through the frame and they even offered to put the door back on before they left. I can't say enough good things about these two guys - they were the perfect example of great customer service. Unfortunately I neglected to get their names, but I hope they can be recognized for their outstanding customer service.

    Around September or October 2017 I entered the P.C. Richard in Carle Place. I was greeted by Rich **. I purchased a Samsung 4K HD TV size 49 inch. It is a beautiful TV, the pictures are great and the price was unbelievable. So in March 2018 I returned to P.C. Richard to purchase another. This time I was assisted by Ron. I placed a down payment on another Samsung 4k HD 49 inch TV. However when it came time for the TV to be delivered that brand was no longer in stock. Ron took control and made sure I received a replacement TV and within the price range (it in fact was less than I originally paid) and I had the TV 2 days later. It turned out it is a Samsung 50 inch 4k TV.

    Long story short both this gentleman were very helpful in assisting with my purchases and I would recommend that should you be in the need for electronics you visit P.C. Richard in Carle Place and ask for either Rich ** or Ron. You will be in great hands with both these gentleman.
