    I buy all my appliances from PC Richard. I purchased an All Fridge All Freezer set in 2012. The Freezer needed to be replaced in 2017 after countless service calls. This year the Fridge gave out before Easter-after only 6 years! The service people sent parts for the wrong fridge! Again I buy all my appliances from them even my rental properties. They installed the wrong compressor part in my fridge voiding manufacturer warranty. Now they told me to replace the fridge but since the price changed I must pay the difference over $300!!! Manager, Jose, of Nanuet, was rude and belligerent.

    Several months ago I went into the P.C. Richard store at 205 E. 86th Street. Although I was just researching three major appliances and was not ready to purchase anything, salesperson ** was courteous and very informative about the specifications on the products that I needed.     We walked into the store shopping for a new stackable washer and dryer. Within 45 minutes we were out the door with purchase complete. The sales associate, Fred, was amazing and was able to help us pick out new appliances. He answered all of our questions and even helped us with information on government rebates. The delivery and installation was also very professional. The installer helped us identify a fire hazard with our laundry configuration, which we will be following up on. Our install was not easy. Our stacked unit goes into a small closet with plugins and water connections at the back of the closet. They also put the unit in an overflow pan, which we purchased elsewhere. The prices on the washer and dryer were competitive. The costs for delivery and installation were almost nothing and they hauled away the old units at no cost. We will definitely shop at P.C. Richard again for our next purchase.

    Purchased a Maytag dishwasher from P.C. Richards internet on 2/19/2018. On March 16, 2018 I called to report dishwasher door spring broke. They ordered a service call and on 3/22/2018 a service guy came after being an 1 1/2 late. He informed me the dishwasher was installed incorrectly by P.C. Richards and that I should call them and let them know. I did and I also asked for the manager to call me twice that day. Manager never called back and customer service said someone would be at my home on Sunday. They were supposed to call me the night before and never did. Tried to call P.C. Richards today but they are closed. Had to dispute this charge with my credit card company and still dishwasher door not fixed!

    I have no problem with PC Richard itself but the installation delivery service. I did speak to them about this at the PC Richard location in Watchung NJ where everything was purchased and They refuse to take any responsibility or try to rectify it in any way. I was not home when the refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove, were delivered. When installing the dishwasher they talked my girlfriend changing the hot water valve under the sink that goes to the dishwasher. I had checked the valve it did not need to be changed. This isn't the first time I've heard this happening. Then when installing the gas line for the dryer the line was too short so they combined 2 gas lines together and they charged another $20 for the second short gas line. The gas line was already paid for at the store.

    Then after they left they came back one hour later with the excuse they left some tools at the house. My girlfriend told him there are no tools. I checked but they wanted to look anyway. The real reason they came back was they pulled the dryer out because they had realized they didn't use the sealing putty on the threads of the gas line so that's why they came back. She watched everything they did. They never found any tools. They just had forgot to install the gas line properly. Besides that using two lines instead of one is dangerous and would fail inspection so now I will have to buy the longer gas line and install it myself.

    We had done our due diligence as we were going to be making some major purchases. We were finally upgrading to a king size mattress AND updating our kitchen to stainless! As Presidents Day Weekend sales were approaching we diligently searched for the best place that would provide us great service as well as even better pricing. Having an idea of which line of appliances we wanted to select, we researched online. We decided to go to P.C. Richard. Upon arriving at the store we were greeted by a Salesman who had previously assisted us in a small purchase and it was nice that he remembered us. Kudos to Mr. Robert **. He is old school as are we, and understands the importance of customer service. He was very patient with all of our questions and concerns and helping us find the right package.

    We actually upgraded our range to the convection type and upgraded our choice of dishwasher to the stainless interior. We chose the Frigidaire Gallery package, including a gorgeous top of the line refrigerator, range, over the stove microwave, and dishwasher. Now that we had our appliance package settled we went to the mattress section. After testing all the mattresses, we opted for the top of the line Sealy Comfort. Because of the amount of money we were spending, manager Matthew was also there to assist us. My husband and I feel that Matthew provided us with outstanding discounts due to the amount of purchases we were making. I feel that Matthew is a top-of-the-line sales manager. While giving us his full attention, he still kept an eye on other customers and sales people, as it was the busy President's Day weekend. His ability to multitask yet still provide individual Superior customer service is outstanding.

    I do hope that Matthews manager gets a hold of this review. He is not to go unnoticed, and hopefully P.C. Richard can keep him as long as they can. All in all, from the salesman, the sales manager, and the delivery guys, we were extremely satisfied, more than satisfied, with the entire process. We will definitely consider P.C. Richard again and am put on hold, come back to and then the rep explains I am on for service but not this weekend. I explain the repair company is closed on the weekend. She puts me on hold again and the call drops.

    I call P.C. Richard a 3rd time and the Joe tells me I am on for service. I explain that I called and the automated service confirms I am not on for service. He asks me what should I do and I say, "make another service appointment." It is obvious to me that I have received a lemon fridge that probably can't be repaired because heating up the ice build up in the bottom of the freezer is not fixing the issue. I am so sorry I bought from them again after what happened before and losing money with a standing LG air conditioner and purchasing a protection guarantee for over $1100 and the repair company refusing to repair. PC finally gave me a check for $150. This same fridge is now on sale someplace else for $280 cheaper and today is the last day. I'm already disgusted with this whole process.

    Spent over $1000 on a new Sealy mattress. They delivered it fine and took the old one away. 10 days into owning it, my wife's side gets an indent in the mattress. She is less than half my weight and 5'3 (I'm 6'2 260 lbs) but yet my side of the mattress is perfect... no indents or gullies. She gets hip pain from the indent now. We called PC Richards who sent a technician (A PC Richard tech) who upon looking at it noticed the indent right away. He took measurements and pictures and repeated 6 times, "I can't tell you what's going to happen, the service department will call you in 24 hrs."

    No call from them, but when I called I get the song and dance saying that the indent was not deep enough to warrant a replacement. It had to be over 1 1/2 inches deep... The salesperson had no problem bragging about the 10 year warranty and trying to upsell an extended warranty to us (we declined, it came with a 10 year full warranty already) but when it came time to complain about a 10 day old mattress that was obviously defective, no dice. They won't help us.

    3 years ago I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and stove for a new house. At the time I wanted all Frigidaire products but ultimately bought a different dishwasher. The new DW will be delivered and installed in 2 days. What company in these days does this? I thought the old fashioned kind of service was gone forever.     Bought a LG refrigerator in 2013 from PC Richard, always a problem with refrigerator not cooling properly. Had multiple service calls and fixes were temporary. Finally 4 years later, refrigerator stop cooling, no ice, everything in my fridge was spoiled. I called up for service as my refrigerator is 10 years warranty with them. Tech came out a few day later, looked at it and said I need a new compressor. Compressor went bad. I waited 1 week until the order the parts and come back out. Tech was at my house for 4 hours, couldn’t fix it. Said he did everything he could. I called again for another appt and explain that the tech can’t fix it so I need a new fridge. They said a supervisor has to come out and inspect before giving me a new fridge. I said OK.

    Made an appointment again. Supervisor came, said the first tech didn’t do a good job and they need a new part. I have to wait another week for the part to come in and install again. If it doesn’t work, we will have to replace. Week #3. I had 4 technician for 4 hours including the supervisor on site, working to fix the problem on my fridge. No luck. The technical did try and was honest to say, "Hey we did our best. No, this is a faulty fridge, it’s not fixable, we need to call customer service in the next morning and ask them to replace this fridge." I called the next day which is today. First guy said the, "Oh, we have to order another part and I don’t know how long it will take to come in." I said what!!! I need to work to a manager/supervisor. Took my tel, no one called. I called LG, file a claim and they said ask PC Richard to send us the report and they will process the item replacement.

    I called back all over again explaining my problem to PC Richard and lady with an attitude answered and said, "You have to wait for another part. We can’t replace," and finally transfer me to a supervisor on site name Nikkita. I explained to Nikita and told her I called LG, told them the situation. They said, "We have no problem replacing the refrigerator" and they said to ask for PC Richard to send them the report on what they did on the fridge, it is not repairable. Nikita said, "We have the parts and can come tomorrow for another repair." It’s been 3 weeks; no refrigerator and every time I hear, "We will come with a part again and if it doesn’t work we will replace." She finally said, "I need an email address, name that I need to send the report to." I was surprise they don’t not have that info. Am I their first claim??!

    I called LG and they said the tech need to submit that report, they do it all the time. They have a system. Again, I called PC. Richard... ask for Nikkita, agent said "Oh, she is on another line, but she was able to stop at my desk and told me that she will send the info to LG and will get back to me in 20mins with a answer." 3 hours later, I called again - as no one called me back of course. "Nikkita please, ....” "Sorry she is not available, but I do see you on the schedule for tomorrow repair." I was scheduled for repair again, I didn’t know??? I was waiting for a reply on when will I get a new fridge!! Still here waiting.... no call back ... nothing. Worst service ever!!! Took your money, have you invest in warranty, sell you a faulty fridge that is not repairable and do nothing about it. "Oh we warranty 10 years. If we can’t fix we will replace, we always stand behind our items." — **! Next step, calling my lawyer...

    2 weeks ago, I walked into the P.C. Richard & Son in Bellmore, where my husband and I had bought our washer/dryer, stove and a Dyson vacuum, looking for a mattress. We went upstairs and were greeted by a salesman who seemed like he knew what he was doing, boy were we wrong. I explained that I needed a FIRM mattress, and we tried a few before letting him know that I really liked this Stern & Foster mattress, with a firm level of 1, firmest possible. My husband mentioned that it may be too firm for him, and instead of recommending the same mattress but with a firm level of 2, slightly less firm, he recommended we get a Sealy mattress, that it was great and it was the same mattress he had, everyone's line.

    I sat on the couch for about a minute and still saying I liked the firm mattress better, he said, "I really think you should get the other one because the firm mattress is the number one returned mattress." He went on to say that the one of the showroom was a lot softer than it really was because this one had been used. I specifically asked him what we had to do to return it and if it cost anything, and his words were, "It's nothing, you have 30 days to return it and it might cost you a redelivery fee".

    So we buy the mattress, it gets delivered on Saturday and I come back home on Sunday, wanting to sleep on my new mattress, only to spend the entire night awake tossing and turning and ending up sleeping on my daughter's queen size bed with her, my husband and our dog. The mattress is the softest, most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in, or at least attempted to sleep in, in my entire life!!! My husband immediately calls the next day, asking to speak to the sales rep, who wasn't there, so he spoke to a manager. He explained to the manager, who then told my husband their 30 day return policy means that you have to keep the mattress for 30 days before you can return it, which was NEVER explained to us when we bought the mattress.

    One more night goes by, I stay awake ALL NIGHT and we go to the store to speak to a manager, Pete. Pete listens to our complaint and says, "Your body has to adjust to the bed," which is total and complete **. I travel extensively for work and have slept in every bed imaginable and NEVER have I been this uncomfortable, this mattress is clearly the wrong mattress for us. We tell him what happened and he even says the sales rep sold us the wrong mattress and says that he will note that on the computer.

    This was Wednesday, he said he would call back Thursdays morning. It is now the following Monday, no one has bothered to call us. My brother in law has a friend who is a manager at another store, who checks their system and it says that "customer knew about 30 day in home before returning mattress", which is again, the biggest bull crap in the world. I am now on my 2nd week of sleepless nights, going from my daughter's room, to the floor and not sleeping at all with a massive migraine. I honestly want to cut this mattress into pieces. And now, we have to wait another 20 something days before I can sleep again. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS AWFUL STORE EVER AGAIN.

I was promised that new TV-set would be installed and old TV-set would be removed.     We were in the process of buying new kitchen appliances (range, dishwasher and fridge). First we went to the union location on Rt. 22. The sales person there was very helpful, but we decided to go to the Carteret location to see about getting what we were looking for on clearance. We were approached by Osei and told he would help us with everything. He was very patient and helpful. After going back and forth with what were wanted he was able to help us get everything under our budget with the help of his manager Bob.

    Before the appliances were delivered Osei called to remind us of the delivery and what to expect. Once the appliances arrived we were very happy until we noticed the plug on the fridge we purchased was damaged (we did purchases a fridge which was damaged but were unaware the plug was bent). I called the store and spoke with Bob about the issue. I told him everything was great except for this issue which I know wasn’t hidden from us on purpose. He said he agreed and was very open to listen to suggestions on how to resolve the issue. We both agreed on replacing the fridge with another one (same model) and also able to extend my warranty.

    Overall both my wife and I are very happy with our purchases. Both Osei and Bob treated us as if we were their only customers and took ownership of the problem and worked until it was resolved with a reasonable outcome for both us and them. We have used P.C.     This is a long read, but worthwhile... 7 yrs ago we bought a set of GE Appliances from P.C. Richard; in general they are good, but one of them - the over-the-stove microwave/convection oven - was a dud. Fortunately, we bought a 10 yr warranty with the appliances. PCR has always been excellent about the warranty, it's a one-call and they come deal, but still inconvenient because I lose work to be there for the check-out visit, then again for the repair (after they order the part.) But they honor the warranty and they come: they came and came and came for that ** microwave, even replacing the majority of the guts of the machine about a year ago. No good.

    To their credit, they offered us a "buyout" from the warranty - full store credit for a replacement. Still, I figured we would be out the cost of the warranty, the cost of the installation (we built a special space for it, so it's an exact fit) and delivery. We called the store and came in. I went in very skeptical of what would happen and left REALLY SATISFIED. The "salesperson" (he didn't stand to make a dime off this "sale", obviously) was an incredibly nice guy named John. He worked for 20 minutes non-stop trying to find a match that would fit exactly into the space, something with the same size specs as our old machine. No dice. We figured this is where the "Sorry; after 7 years this is the best we can do..." would come in. When John said, "Look, I've only been here 2 months, maybe I can get you a manager," we figured this is it.

    I was not expecting anything positive. But the manager, Tom (is it Thom... Idk) was AWESOME! He made no excuses, but instead got straight to work. He hunted patiently (15 minutes of a manager's time!) Finally, he went directly to the GE website (rather than PCR's) and found a matching appliance. After 7 yrs, GE had updated the machine (please G-d it will work better!), but it was also $200 more than the credit we had been given. "OK, here comes the bill..." I figured, but the wife was set on keeping everything in the kitchen matching, so no choice. Then Tom dropped THE BOMB: PCR would eat the difference in cost of the appliances AND ALSO the delivery AND the installation costs!!!

    Now you can see why I've written this long, detailed letter. I'm 58 and have bought a LOT of appliances in my life; this was a pretty uniquely positive experience. We were in the store for about 45 minutes, always treated courteously and left with much MORE than we'd hoped for. I can attest that I have no relationship with anyone at the store (other than as a customer) and I would strongly recommend P.C. Richard - particularly the Wayne, NJ store - to anyone shopping appliances. If you're there, look for John or Tom.

    When a purchase of Extended Warranty/warranty agreement with PC Richard and you live in certain areas PC Richard will not be the one coming out to repair your appliance. They in fact contract out. On 12/28/17, an appt was scheduled with Jimmy’s appliances hours 4-8pm, no one showed no one called. Didn't receive not even a courtesy call. Next day a clerk by name of Pete works w PC Richard says they are not responsible for actions of the other company. This puts the consumer in a rough situation since the consumer never researched nor did business w the co. Being referred to and acting on behalf of PC Richard, more importantly the agreement $$ was with PC Richard. Needless to say took a day off without pay. Another appt which was difficult to get was rescheduled a week away.

    Warning_ Never purchase an extended warranty from P.C. Richard, they do not honor the warranty. For the Past 2 months I have been trying to have my stove repaired under the extended warranty. First they sent a repairman to my house who did not have the tools to fix the oven that was not heating or the broiler that was igniting. Then they send someone who understood the problem and who ordered the part and told me it would take 3 business days, which took a week and half. With Thanksgiving upon me, and an invite to 15 people, I called back again to find out where the part was and when it could be repaired, and I was informed that they could come the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and that I should cook my dinner at a neighbor.

    After many calls, and several visits to the store where I bought the stove, someone finally came, but only partially repaired the stove. Now I am back to calling and it looks like they are unable to give me a timeframe when they can expect the parts or repair my stove. I have repeatedly asked for a supervisor to return my calls, but no one ever calls me back. I will continue to call until my warranty has expired. But I will never purchase another appliance, computer, battery or flashdrive from P.C. Richard again.
