Their services are horrible. My refrigerator has been or off service over two weeks and every time something no one person said it need a part. Then I got an email that the parts came. The person came with no part. Stated lies then they send some else. He came without parts again. They don’t respect their customers. I would not recommend them P.C. Richard & Son to anyone. Meat and other cold stuff had to be thrown out. Have to ask neighbor to keep medication with older people. Can’t even getting something cold. Think before you go there.

I bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress last year in March. I work 10-16 hours a day at my jobs and needed a comfortable mattress that would last me a very long time. I decided to purchase the top of the line mattress available for $4,000. I decided that the comfort of this mattress would justify the hefty price. When discussing the warranty, the sales associate mentioned to me to make sure to get my mattress covered under the warranty and to get a cover for the mattress that was another 150 dollars. I agreed since I wanted to make sure that this warranty would cover my investment if anything happened. After having it for a little over a year with a sturdy bed frame, the mattress started sinking in the middle. I am a single petite woman who gets maybe 6 hours of sleep a night at most. I have been experiencing neck and shoulder pain so I decided to check the mattress and that’s when I discovered the sinking.
There is no reason that this mattress should be sinking especially within a year of having it with a bed frame and all. I contacted the company the warranty was issued under and they said because of “improper” support that is why the mattress is sinking and why they will not cover my mattress under the warranty. Now I have to replace this mattress within a year of having it all because a neglectful sales associate at P.C. Richard that failed to inform me that I needed to buy a specific bed frame for this mattress. He decided to focus on making a sale to make commission instead of having my best interest in mind. I will not be returning to shop here anymore and I advise everyone to stay away. From P.C. Richard, and one more thing Tempur-Pedic as well.

I called ahead to PC RICHARD & SON and spoke with **, he assured he will assist me when I arrived. He greeted very politely and he was finishing up with another customer but he would come to me in intervals to let me know he will be right with me. I didn't know what size btu I wanted, I asked for something bigger and I told him where I wanted the unit for and he explained in details why I needed a smaller unit and he recommended the best brand not by cost but by durability and function.
He was so professional, he treated me with Respect, showed great concern for me having the right A/c for my comfort. Which is why I greatly recommend anyone who needs anything Appliances for their home should visit this PC RICHARD at 1159 Roosevelt Avenue Carteret, NJ, the Staff was Great!!! The Managers was Attentive as The Representative were and they made my purchase Effortless!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They deserve all the stars I have given them!! Wonderful Customer Service!!!

I purchased a Beko 27 in. 16.4 cu/ft refrigerator/freezer from PC Richard on July 30, 2021. I also purchased the 3 year service contract which I was told covered all service and parts. Back in early May, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called for service and an appointment was scheduled for the service person to come two days later (5/16). He determined the condenser needed to be replaced. I was told the part would be ordered and when it came in I would get a call to make an appointment to have it installed. After two days of not receiving a call, I called and was told the part came in and we set a date for the repair to be done (5/21). One week to get the refrigerator working! An unacceptable time to be without a refrigerator!
One month later 6/14 I had to call for service again. The freezer part worked but the refrigerator was not cold. The service person came by and determined the fan was not working and had to be replaced. He said it would take two or three days to come in and that I would get a call to schedule an appointment when the part comes in. Three days later I called again since I had not heard anything and was told by the person that she would look into it and put me on hold. After about 10 minutes she said that there was a delay and getting the part and that she would follow up and try and expedite the situation.
I got an email later in the day stating: "The parts required for the repair are expected to be received into our parts distributor around 6/26. Please remember this is an estimated arrival and subject to change..." Note that this is more than 1 week without a refrigerator and unacceptable. I called PC Richard and they offered me a "loaner" refrigerator until the part comes in. I called to make the arrangements and was told that I have to go to the local store where I purchased it to make the arrangements.
I walked up to the PC Richard on Fordham Rd in the Bronx and was told that I actually had to purchase a refrigerator, they would deliver it and then pick it up when it was returned. I was also told that the largest refrigerator they would give me under the warranty is a small one that sits on a counter and is just for basics. It makes no sense to me that a customer would have to purchase a new refrigerator at full price and then return it when the repair is done! Pluss, the size they are willing to give is useless!
In short, overall the people on the phone and the technicians were fine. They professionally did their job and are not the problem. Make sure you are aware on the details of any extended warranty they try and sell you. It's a joke. After shopping at PC Richard for many years and first dealing with the PC Richards on Long Island where I grew up I am very disappointed. I will update this review if and when the refrigerator ever gets fixed. PC Richard should not sell appliances that can't service or get parts for in a timely manner.

The worst buying experience ever. Our refrigerator stopped working on 6/18/2024 and after shopping around we decided to go with this company even though the cost was $200 over Home Depot and Lowe's. Wanted to give a small company our business. We were guaranteed a delivery date of the GE refrigerator model GNE25JYKFS for 6/22/2024.
When we called on 6/21/2024 to check on the delivery window, the sales lady said our order was not scheduled for anytime soon. After escalating to her manager who was of absolutely no help and had no management or customer skills, we figured out this company was just out for our money. There was never a "sorry" or "apology" for this company's mismanagement. We cancelled the order and are now without a refrigerator for 5 days now. Going to check with the big box stores as they seem to be more dependable than this company. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

P.C. Richard & Son's rep was nice and very informative. There were some issues with the scheduling for the one service repair we had with the fridge. There was a miscommunication. I thought they only needed one part to fix the fridge, but they canceled our appointment and gave me a call the next week saying that they needed seven pieces. They needed two technicians to do it. They never told me that either. So, that made it harder to schedule. Once we got scheduled though, they came on the day and time frame they were supposed to come, and got it fixed.

I bought a few things from P.C. Richard such as stoves, dishwashers, and refrigerator. Their sales team’s good. I had to have the washing machine repaired and they came when they were supposed to. The repairman was very knowledgeable. He was also very clean, made sure that he wiped everything down as he left and put everything back exactly the way it was, and showed up when he said he would.

I have had excellent service with P.C. Richard & Son over the years. I got a washing machine, a dryer, a refrigerator, a stove and dishwashers. The customer service team has been excellent. I made an appointment today for one of the appliances and they were very helpful. They usually are very accommodating. I had one man today who was a little bit rude but maybe he was having a bad day.
When I buy an appliance, I always get an additional service contract for a further five years and the appliance already comes with a one-year warranty. So I have a one-year warranty plus the additional five. That's six years. But P.C. Richard said no and I didn't like that about their contract. Then, once I'm ready to renew after the five-year contract, they will only give me a one-year contract. They will not extend it to an additional five years. I wish the coverage was a little better. But for the most part, they're good. If you happen to find something at a cheaper price, P.C. Richard will match it. I always tell them I'm coming to them because I want the best service and the best price. I told my salesman not to let me go somewhere else and find that it's less expensive, and then I have to come back to them.

My stove broke and I needed a new stove. The price of P.C. Richard was better for the same model that I was looking for and it was quicker delivery than anywhere else. Overall, all my questions were answered. They were professional. I also scheduled an appointment for a repair that I needed on the stove and the experience was great.

I always go to P.C. Richard. They have the products and top companies. They always offer other brands. Most of my appliances come from P.C. Richard. Recently, I bought a washer and dryer, refrigerators, and TV from them. I bought an air conditioner yesterday. The rep showed me different units and walked me through the differences. He asked me what my need was and based on that, he recommended me a product. I liked it and ended up buying it.

I have previously had a good experience with PC Richard. This time, I bought an air conditioner and the sales rep was knowledgeable. But I called them today because they said the delivery will be here by 12:30 but it still hasn't arrived yet. The rep didn't look it up. He said, "Just be patient and wait."

I get the best price from P.C. Richard. I got refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washer, dryers, air conditioners, and TVs. The refrigerator and washer broke. They sent someone out to take a look at them within a week. It took two months for the refrigerator to get fixed. It took too long to fix.

P.C. Richard is more consumer-oriented than the big box stores. They have service. You get to speak to a sales person. The personal experience about being able to talk to a sales person is very helpful. The last couple of years, I bought a washer and dryer, a mattress, an air conditioner, and a TV. Their sales reps are very knowledgeable. They spend time with you. They weren’t hurried. They explained the product and answered every question I asked. The customer service team was great. They were very helpful people. I had a question about a delivery. They were able to look it up, find out exactly when it was coming, which was within four hours. So, it was very helpful.

I bought four new appliances and two of them have had multiple repairs needed. I've had seven service calls in six months. Why did I buy four brand-new appliances that didn't perform well in the first several months? I wonder if P.C. Richard & Son should carry the brand that I picked. Also, P.C. Richard would tell me that the driver would call 30 minutes ahead of time. But they do not. They just show up, for the most part. The first guy called, but that was the only one. But my sales associate should be complimented and rewarded for her good work. She knows more than the entire male salesforce there. She's very knowledgeable.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable and courteous. He was a very nice guy. As far as speaking to customer service over the phone, it was good. But the service itself, they spend a lot of time. They make you wait forever. I put in the service call for the refrigerator and my warranty expired approximately about a week or two before it went. They were courteous enough to give me a complimentary service call. But even prior to that, every time something breaks down, they came in and assessed the problem. But they make you wait so long to have it fixed. They have to order the part. I was without a refrigerator for almost four weeks.

I got a microwave, a fridge, a stove, and a dishwasher from P.C. Richard. I had an issue with my microwave, which I'm still going back and forth with. They're supposed to replace it. But they've been great to work with on that issue. It hasn't been 100% resolved yet because they ordered the item to replace it and it's not in yet. They were very responsive. I highly recommend them. They have great service and friendly staff.

2 months washer broken, 7 visits from technicians and installers. Even bought a new 3500.00 washer dryer combo, installer turns it on, broken. They bring a new one. They tell me ball valve broken. Call plumber 300.0,0 he says nothing wrong with ball valve. PC Richards tech was spinning it instead of giving the 1/4 turn needed to shut it off. He even took a video of him spinning it around. VERY POOR AND VERY UPSETTING.

P.C. Richard's is a good company. The products that we've purchased from them are quality products, and they have good service. We've had a couple warranty issues where we had to have people come out. They listened to me and set up a scheduled time within reason, where I didn't have to wait too long. It is post-COVID now, so I expected it to move along faster, which it did. They came out as scheduled and were cooperative in completing the necessary work to keep the products working efficiently. It went well, and I'm happy with P.C. Richard's. I'll go there again. I'm looking into a smart TV, and that's probably where I'll go to get it.

The worst customer service. I purchased AC from PC Richard's and it was not working at all. I was advised to call the manufacturer and file a claim, which I did. The response was supposed to be in 5 business days. After more than 5 business days I have been trying to reach out to check on my claim status and the operators either disappear from the live chat or promise to call me back and never do. All the answers are "Due to high volume of calls the system is down". Totally unacceptable!

I am giving this review one star because the technicians who have come to my home at least four times in the past year have been GREAT. Management in Customer service gets a negative 5 rating. However, my experience with the LG washer and dryer I purchased last September has been extremely frustrating. When the washer was installed, the technicians forgot to turn on one of the water valves, so no matter what setting I used, I only got extra hot water. This caused me to ruin some very expensive items. After several uses, I was still having problems with the water temperature. The technicians discovered that the hot and cold water lines were superimposed.
A few months later, a technician came back out and discovered that the motherboard controlling the water temperature needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and returned a few weeks later to install it. During this time, I had to take multiple days off work to be home for an all-day service window, resulting in lost pay. I contacted customer service to explain my situation and the number of times I had to be home for repairs. They offered me a gift card as compensation for the ruined items and lost pay. The amount was far less than my losses, but I accepted. However, months have passed, and I still have not received the gift card. It was initially sent to the wrong address, and despite correcting it, I have yet to receive anything. I have called customer service multiple times, feeling like a beggar, and have requested management to return my calls, but I am still waiting.
To add to my frustration, I am now having problems with the dryer. The double-pane glass on the dryer door is collecting dirt. The technician has ordered a new door, which means I will have to schedule yet another service call to replace it. I have been a loyal customer of PC Richard's for 25 years and have purchased countless appliances, TVs, and other items. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I hope they can resolve these issues promptly and improve their customer service.

I purchased a new oven. When delivered it bubbles on the stovetop. During deliver I was distracted and didn’t notice the defect, but within 10 minutes of the delivery truck’s departure I noticed it and called the salesman who sold me the stove; “Hoss”. Hoss talked for 20 minutes before referring me to Customer Service. I called Customer Service 4 times and each time was put on hold for an excessive period. In the I was forced to accept a defective oven.

I bought brand new refrigerator from PC Richard in 2020 and bought means paid extra for 5 years extra warranty. About a month ago my refrigerator stopped working I called PC Richards. Told them about it. First of all customer service on phone was not courteous at all seemed like they don’t care how to help customers. Then after 2 calls they said someone will call me. Next day one private repair company called me saying they will send someone to fix my refrigerator. Technician came 3 days later checked it and said fan is not working and we will order new fan and fix it. It’s over a week already they never came back.
I called again PC Richards service line and that lady had really bad attitude. Said, "Hold on. Let me check." Then she came online after 15 minutes saying fan is in order and will be fixed soon. Here I don’t have any other refrigerator and can’t bring groceries because they will go bad. My previous grocery and meat went bad already which was around $700 and change. I know one thing now never buy anything from PC Richard anymore.

P.C. Richard & Son's service has been fantastic and they've been very reasonable with their prices. However, I had an LG refrigerator and the compressor halfway through its life died. I then picked the Samsung refrigerator but the ice maker failed twice. They replaced it both times and I don't want it to fail the third time. We had this problem with the ice maker from Samsung once before. I also had to replace the ice bucket that came with the refrigerator because the plastic was cracked around the ice maker.
Aside from that, I purchased three air conditioning units from P.C. Richard and they all had electrical problems. But overall, P.C. Richard is not terrible and their repair service is very good. They give you personal one on one service and they take their time to go on and explain things thoroughly. Also, they give you the option of taking out a warranty, which really does work. The problems I've had were beyond their control. The quality of the products are lousy and that was my fault because I didn't do my due diligence as a consumer to see that.

P.C. Richard has good prices. Their reps are also helpful. We've been dealing with them for 30 years now and we purchased a refrigerator, a washer, a dryer, a stove, a dishwasher, air conditioners and televisions. We always get the extended warranty and it has bailed us out many times. They honored them many times. It's a good investment.

I purchased quite a few things from them over a year ago. It was a very pleasant experience. I was renovating my home and I wanted all-new appliances and they took the time to explain to me the difference between an LG and a GE appliance. They were quite thorough in their explanations and what I was looking for. I also purchased air conditioner units and they came in and did the installation for those. The installers were punctual. They let me know by text message that they were en route and that they had arrived. They cleaned up behind themselves, too.

My first purchase with P.C. Richard was my refrigerator. I went there with a certain price set in my mind, and the sales assistant, Scott, was very efficient and helpful with the matter. Delivery was fast and efficient as well. They were very cordial and polite about it, made sure they asked where I wanted it and how to set it up. It was all good.
Every time I called P.C. Richard or had an issue, it was relatively easy to get in contact with them, and they're easy in scheduling. We recently bought my dishwasher, which gave a bit of a headache. When I installed it, it had a leak, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. After four times, the repair people came out and were able to fix it and made it all better. It was a manufacturing issue and not a P.C. Richard issue.

There was a lot of miscommunication in regards to when the person who was supposed to come in and measure my hallway into the kitchen. They came in after the refrigerator was delivered. Then when I informed them that I wanted to have the setup for the water filter, they told me they didn't do that. I told them, "But why would I purchase the refrigerator with the water filter and not pay for that to be installed?" She told me they didn't do that. I had to get that done myself. So I needed to purchase a new filter because the filter expired. They informed me that I did pay for the installation of the water filter, but I canceled it. I said, "Yeah. I canceled it because the young lady told me they didn't offer that." But when I spoke to the gentleman, he said they would come and fix it. They would install it.
I ended up having to pay double the price that P.C. Richard offered to get the water filter and ice set up when initially, I did pay for it. But because the young lady said that was not what they came for, and that they just came to do the measurement, it triggered me. I ended up paying $300 when they offered it for about $178 to install the filter. But after that specific situation, everything has been smooth sailing.
I had some situations with the fridge and that was annoying too. The tech rang the doorbell and because my daughter didn't come downstairs in the time that he needed to get in the house, he left. So that annoyed me. I had to request another schedule and I told them to not send that man back to my home. But the people that showed up knew what they were talking about. So I gave them a pass.

My experience with P.C. Richard was okay. I have the P.C. Richard's card, and I already have a credit established with them. I needed a new refrigerator because the one that I had had a manufacturer defect and a crack, and conveniently, my warranty expired. P.C. Richard does not alert you that your warranty is expired, but they have no problem letting you know that you have money to spend. I was supposed to get a call back in reference to the refrigerator that I had to replace. I did not receive a call back. So, I had to reach out and was advised that they would not be giving me a discount because the warranty was expired.

I had a positive experience in the past with P.C. Richard, but these last two transactions were terrible. We own a few buildings and in those buildings, we use appliances from P.C. Richard. I bought a stove that was under warranty and now, I need to go buy a new stove and a new warranty from P.C. Richard. And I'm paying three times what I originally paid. I ended up buying something from outside. The warranty that they're saying that they will pay me, it will only be a credit for 30 days. I don't need anything for the next 30 days. It should be a store credit at least, if not the money return. I’m very upset right now.

The rep I had a P.C. Richard & Son was nice. But the product I got from them is a whole different story. They stand by their warranty, which I appreciate, but I've had to use the warranty several times on the icemaker. And, ironically, I have an appointment for the 11th for them to come back because the icemaker is leaking and this is the fourth time. For a $3,500 refrigerator, I shouldn't have to call constantly about it. Also, the drawers are flimsy. So, it's not a good product. But when I needed help, P.C. Richard's reps were responsive and they came out. It's a lot of wasted time though because every time they come, I got to stop what I'm doing and I got make sure to be here at that time.

I like PC Richard. It's a great store. I bought a deep freezer and a TV. I would have liked to pay less but it was a good purchase. It was easy to pick up the TV. When they delivered the freezer, they slid it right on to the spot that I needed it to be in. When you purchase a deep freezer, the switch is on the left side. I needed it to be changed to the right side and they came in and fixed that quickly.

P.C. Richard & Son stand by their product and they're easy to work with. So far, we have purchased the dishwasher, an air conditioner, a stove, washer and dryer, and a freezer from them. They offered the zero interest for six or eight months, depending on how much you're spending, and we prefered that. The products came when they said they were coming and we've never had an issue as far as anything damaged. The items we ordered are all name brands and one time, I had an issue when I bought a Samsung washing machine. It ended up being a recall and it was the worst machine ever bought in my life. I'll never buy another Samsung product ever.

We purchased a washer-dryer about five years ago from P.C. Richard. I called them first to do a repair on it and the gentleman came out and diagnosed it. He said he needed to order a part, which he proceeded to do. I got an email about two and a half weeks later that they no longer have the part. Then they sent me a bill for the service call and I wasn't keen on that. I'm not happy with the fact that they sent me a bill for something that they couldn't even repair because they didn't have access to the part. I was able to call Sears and they have the part and it has been since repaired.

Something's not right with the filter in the ice machine of the refrigerator. It happens every six months and they come out and play around with it and they can never find out what's wrong with it. The techs are great, though. This refrigerator has this filter problem and other people have said it too, so it's the refrigerator and not P.C. Richard. We've bought a few things from them and we'd purchase from them again.

I've had good stuff up from P.C. Richard until the refrigerator. It stopped being cold and I informed them. The service wasn't good with the repair situation. It seemed like it took a while for them to do something and I had to keep following up. Then, they finally told me I could come and swap out but now, my refrigerator is acting up again. The person came late April and I let two weeks pass and nothing. I called last week and they told me there's a back order on the fan. I asked what other options there are because I need a fridge. The rep said she was gonna see if she could get it swapped out for me and she'd call me back.
I took it upon myself to call yesterday and they said they're still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer to see if they could get the approval. She said she'd call me back before the day and nothing and nothing this morning. I called and they told me that on May 21st, which was Tuesday, they approved for me. P.C. Richard is not good with customer service as far as following up with people. Somebody would come to repair and time would elapse before they even update you. Then, trying to find a solution is like pulling teeth from them.

The rep who helped us was very nice. We bought a set, a dryer and a washer, and he showed off all the modern capabilities that it has and showed us the app. It was very nice experience. Then, I had an issue with the dryer not drying fast enough. We would have to put our clothes in the dryer for an hour and 40 minutes. It was very easy to set up the appointment through their website and the tech got here on time. He was able to tell me what was wrong at the time but we're still working on resolving it because we have to change the vent where the air exits.

Their reps were very helpful, accommodating and nice. One chair I got, I had to return twice because it was not good quality. It was something with the way they made the chair, it was cracking. It sounded like wood breaking. It was a power lift chair. Twice, they had someone investigate and take a look at the chair. They must have made a bad batch because two chairs in a row within six months had the same problem. Finally, they gave me back a credit to buy something else. If there is a problem, they do whatever they have to do to rectify the problem.

We got a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a washer, a dryer, and a stove from P.C. Richard. The purchasing experience was good. Service sucks, though. I needed something that says the job was completed. No one could give me that. The dishwasher handle was broken, and it was repaired. No one gave me information. I could say it was never done. The end result tainted the whole experience.

Everything with P.C. Richard & Son went great. We had a great tech. That's why we constantly buy our appliances from there. The service is fantastic. When we had a problem, all I had to do was call. The washing machine door was leaking. Our tech came and checked out that we needed a part. As soon as the part was in, P.C. called me and said that it was in. Our tech came a week afterwards, and he installed it. It worked out great. He was very professional. We had no trouble. Now, the machine has been working great.
Overall, I never have any issues with the cost and quality of the items that we've gotten. It's reasonable. We got a good deal on these. I have the five-year warranty on them. So, it's been working out great. As far as the delivery and setup, it was perfect. They cleaned up. They didn't leave anything laying around. With all the COVID restrictions, it's nice that they still follow everything because my husband's on home dialysis. I have to be careful of who I let in the house. So, that's why I call them because they still go with the COVID restrictions, which is nice.

After being a customer for over 30 yrs and purchasing every appliance we own Tv, computers, washer, dyers etc we finally hit a wall with this company. 10 yrs ago I bought the Frigidaire Gallery kitchen appliances. All 4 pieces, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave. The microwave broke down after 10 yrs. We then purchased the same brand microwave Frigidaire Gallery on 1/25/24. We noticed the display panel intermittently wouldn’t work on the guick heat buttons there’s 6. Then after 10 minutes of use the humidity level during the cooking time formed dripping down the back of the unit.
After hrs of conversation and 4 different appliance repairmen who contacted Frigidaire during visit. No one is addressing the humidity problem. Their service person explained he fix the panel. I asked how he said on the unit or on our table, kitchen floor or living room hard wood floor. Prior we had an installation inspection done. Secondly how rude to fix an heavy appliance on our polished hard wood table and floor. Doesn’t this company provide a portable work bench drop cloth anything to respect the customer's home. They are not willing to replace or refund and they are blowing us off to Frigidaire that are also denying a HUMIDITY PROBLEM! We are not accepting any repairs. I’d rather buy another appliance somewhere else., and not a Frigidaire one.

P.C. Richard & Son has been in the neighborhood for years and we have used them. They communicate. They know what they have in stock. They would give an estimated delivery and update me. They would call and say, "He's on his way." That's nice because sometimes they give a six-hour window. People would stay home and not go to work. At least this way, they shorten their window, the day before. So, that process of receiving was very good. That would be the best part of P.C. Richard & Son.
We bought a Samsung top loader washer and dryer and they're subpar. They don't wash the clothes well. Also, the installation for the dryer could not happen. They told me we didn't have the correct electric. But I had to hire an electrician and the tech said we had the right electric. After that, I have called for repair on the washer and dryer more than three times. I bought it in September. It's just tough stains. It doesn't even have to be that tough. We get a little stain, we put Spray 'n Wash. I put it in the washing machine and it wouldn't wash it. Now that I looked at reviews, they said it doesn't wash clothes well. Why is it a washing machine? P.C. Richard & Son should know Samsung are not good machines. If they weren't new, I'd return them. If the rep knew that the review was that the washing machines didn't clean, he should have told me not to get it.

P.C. Richard & Son refused to open up on Thanksgiving. That was a respectable way for a company to treat its employees. Unfortunately, we purchased a lot of stuff and they all broke. Our TV broke within two months of getting it. A dryer broke within less than two years. Air conditioners from P.C. Richard don't last long. We bought a refrigerator there and it broke within two years.
On this most recent thing, I called P.C. Richard with the warranty question. The people would say they would call me back, but never did. So, I'd have to call them back. And we had an original repair estimate at two days. It ended up being two weeks for the dryer. The story would change every time I called them. “Oh, it's maybe two days.” Two days would come and go, and I wouldn't have an appointment schedule. I’d call them back. “It'll be the 18th.” We’d come close on the 18th, and I’d still hear nothing about appointments. “Oh, the 21st or whatever.” We kept getting strung along. It was terrible. And nobody backed anything up.
I told the people, “If you tell me upfront what's going on, then I know.” So, if they told me day one it would be two weeks, I could plan my life for two weeks without something. But with this, it was, “Two days, two weeks, blah blah blah.” So, we're never going to buy anything from P.C. Richard & Son again. The manager of the Berlin, Connecticut store was a piece of work. Never got back to me.

The reps at P.C. Richard were very attentive, but not too attentive. I went to Bob's a couple of months ago and they follow you around. I didn't like that. The reps at P.C. Richard came up, greeted me, asked what I was looking for and if I wanted any help. I told them I was just looking around. They said, "Come find me if you need anything." But they came and check back in with me. They didn't pressure me into getting anything that I might not want.
I got a stackable washer and dryer, and the washer is horrible but that's not on P.C. Richard, that's on LG. I don't like the new low to no water movement in front load washing machines. I'm looking at replacing this washer. Costco has the model that I'm looking for, but I'd rather go through P.C. Richard because I like the shopping experience there. I also like the extended warranties. They are a good value for what you get. I recommend others to go check out P.C. Richard before anywhere else. They might find the same appliance for a little bit cheaper at Home Depot or Costco, but they won't get the same warranty service.

The refrigerator and the freezer were broken. I had a warranty and PC Richard accommodated me but it took a while. I lost food in both. A guy came, put a part in, and the refrigerator and freezer started working. A couple of days later, the refrigerator stopped working. The guys from PC Richard had to come back out and put another part in. The first repairman was very good. I had a second one come out, but he got afraid of my dog, so he left. Then the guys from PC Richard were able to come out and everything worked out well.

I like that P.C. Richard & Son is more regionally based. They're not a huge corporation, and they price match. Their reps are all very nice. They all know their information on the different appliances. They're not overly pushy, which is nice as well. They're not pressuring you to make a sale. I was most impressed with my rep's overall knowledge of everything from dishwashers to TVs to mattresses. I did my research going in, and she knew all the questions I needed answered. I would highly recommend P.C. Richard over any other electronic store in the area.

I bought my refrigerator and stove at P.C. Richard 30 years ago. They were still good but they were 30 years old and it was time to update. So, I got a stainless steel stove and refrigerator from them. When I walked in, I told them what I wanted. The salesperson was new and there was a little bit of a language barrier. I was trying to tell her there are two different stainless steel colors, and I'm trying to explain that I needed to know what the color was so I could get them both in the same color. She couldn't quite understand it, so she went and got her boss. He explained what I was trying to tell her and it was all taken care of.
They were very friendly and I happened to walk in on a great day because it was employee pricing day. I also wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get ripped off, so I checked the same products out in Home Depot, and they cost more money in Home Depot. The sale was great. They matched the price of the refrigerator, which was less money than the exact model that they had. So they gave me the sale price, then a couple hundred bucks off of that, and it was well worth what I would have paid from the other store.
I have an old house from the '50s, so I still need window air conditioners. Years ago, I went to P.C. Richard and I bought four of them. They gave me a great deal on them. They've always been very good and that's why I always go back to them. The warranty was also excellent because there was something a little bit off with the stove and refrigerator when they were delivered from being in their boxes. P.C. Richard sent somebody three days later and the service guys were very friendly. They took care of the issues immediately.

I purchased a dishwasher from P.C. Richard and the service was excellent. When I went in their store, I told the man what I was looking for and he brought me all different ones. I told him that I would like to be by myself because I like to look at things. And he just sat there and waited. His name was John. I've always gone to their store and I deal with Mo but he wasn't there that day.
When I called them because the dishwasher broke, they sent somebody. Then it broke again and they sent somebody as well. And then it broke again and finally, the guy who came ordered a part for it, and when a tech needed to come back again, P.C. Richard sent somebody else. But I requested the other guy because he knew exactly what he was doing. He was also more experienced than the other one and he went further than the other three techs before him. In the end, they changed the pump. I've always dealt with P.C. Richard and mostly, if I had any problems, they were fixed. I would highly recommend them.

We always go to P.C. Richard for all of our stuff. I feel like they are more personable, they work with you, and you get a good deal with them. For the most part, the customer service is consistent. There were one or two times where I went to them and it wasn't that great but a manager comes over and smooth it over and it turns out to be a good experience. Overall, we're happy with using them. The TV in my bedroom was under warranty with P.C. Richard. It needed fixing but they couldn't fix it so they gave me a credit for the amount that I paid for it. Also, the original person that helped me out took his time and went through stuff. Then one of the sales rep came over and I knew he was trying to sell me on stuff, but it was more of a conversation and not like a sale, which I liked. I ended up taking his advice and I bought a second TV -- a nicer one for my room.

We're very pleased with the customer service in the store and the customer service with the deliveries and any repairs. We bought a new dryer and it was a pleasant experience. The salesperson showed us around, gave us suggestions, and didn't try to upsell us. Sitting down with him and finalizing the deal was very professional. Also, the handle came loose on our refrigerator and I contacted the repair service. Somebody came out here right away and fixed it.

I bought all LG appliances and I will never do it again. But I took out a warranty and when my refrigerator died, they repaired it, so I'm happy about that. Around 18 months ago, I bought a refrigerator, and now, the refrigerator is cracked from all around inside. I had two home service appointments. First, P.C. Richard made a decision to replace the refrigerator, then they denied my claim and decided the service call was not enough. So yesterday, I did another service appointment, but the technician didn't show up in the time frame I was given and didn't notify me. When I called P.C. Richard, they said the technician just decided not to come. I don't know how that's even possible.
I just keep fighting with P.C. Richard. I've had five service calls for the refrigerator, and three of them were for another issue. Not only did I buy an expensive refrigerator, but I also bought an additional eight-year warranty. I don't know if cosmetic issues are covered by my warranty, but I have holes inside my refrigerator, which is definitely not cosmetic. It's not a fixable unit. It should be replaced. I don't know what the technician who came in my apartment put in the report, but P.C. Richard refuses to replace it because they insist it's a cosmetic issue. They also admitted it's a manufacturing defect, but they just offered for me to put some tape for a brand-new refrigerator.
I cannot use P.C. Richard because they just give me the option to call the service department. A couple of times, I call them and ask for a manager and a manager never calls me back. I've had the worst experience from the worst store I've ever bought from. People should know how the store is unreliable to avoid a future experience.

I've been using P.C. Richard for several years for shopping and service. I have a washer-dryer, dishwasher, and microwave purchased from them. Whenever I went to their location, they greet me well, and then they go to service, and show me what I'm looking for. As far as the service goes, this latest round on the washing machine has not been great, but they rescheduled and came back.

We went to the P.C. Richard in Brooklyn because I've dealt with them before over the years many times and the sales people representatives there were always great. We purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, washer and dryer. We've had some issues with the refrigerator, but for the most part, everything has been working fine. They provided excellent service. They've always been professional, honest, and with the service department, they come and they've always diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it in a timely manner. When they say it will be fixed, sometimes we have to wait for the parts to come in, but they were always punctual and always correct with the diagnosis. I’m a P.C. Richard fan.

We purchased a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a stove and the sales rep gave us good prices. But we had to get the stove repaired. It had a fan issue that when it got hot, it squeaked a lot. Also, the refrigerator had a problem with the ice maker being so noisy. The customer service was great trying to get help for that. I called them up, they made an appointment, and they checked it out. They diagnosed the stove right away but they couldn't do anything with the ice maker because the issue didn't happen while they were here. It's still making the noise but it's usually all night long, when I'm sleeping.

I purchased a television from P.C. Richard & Son. I did it over the phone with the sales rep. The sales rep was perfect, great, marvelous and outstanding. The quality of the TV is great. I love it. I also had a Whirlpool refrigerator that wasn't working and I put a service ticket in. They gave me an appointment. They told me what was wrong. They came in and ordered the parts. They came in a week later and installed it. The refrigerator is working ever since.

I like that P.C. Richard match prices. They serviced the fridge. The door of the fridge was not closing by itself properly. It needed a door alignment, which took the tech seconds to do. P.C. Richard & Son always has specific brands and models. They know everything when it comes down to what they have in their stores from TVs to appliances. That puts anyone's mind at ease because it's not a simple thing to go in and say, "Okay, this is what I want, but..." and leave with it. Also, they don't come off like they try to push something on me. It's almost like, "We're here to help. Look around, shop around." I have that feeling of not being overwhelmed with people trying to push something on me. They always have everything on point. They are very pleasant, courteous, and they go above and beyond to help me if there is an issue. And their products last long.

P.C. Richard & Son has good products at reasonable prices. But they've been here four times to fix my refrigerator and it hasn't been fully completed. The fridge stops getting cold at the top. The freezer part is fine. But at the top, they've been here four times trying to fix it. They may fix it, it may last for a month, but it would resort back to the top part not being cold. The last time they were here has been almost a month and it's working so far. But I'll see what happens in the next two weeks. They wanna order a different part that they would try on another part of the refrigerator, but that part hasn't been shipped. But so far, the refrigerator works okay.

My Husband and I purchased a black stainless set of appliances in 2019, including a stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. We paid over $9000.00 for. We also purchased a warrantee that we still have. This past year my stove has started to peel on the outside. Including under the bread drawer. The coating inside the oven also looks like it has melted and created some welling, which has resulted in rust forming in these areas. The self-clean does not work properly and I won't use any harsh products that are not recommended to clean with.
I contacted P.C. Richard to come out and look at them to see if there is anything they can do to fix the problem or replace the stove. They said there was nothing they can do, because it is cosmetic and for us to contact the manufacturer. I contacted Samsung and they said we need to contact P.C. Richard, because the warranty with Samsung is only for 1 yr. I once again contacted P.C. Richard. They told us again that there is nothing that they can do. I am extremely disappointed, as we have bought everything Samsung in our home and spent plenty of money doing so. I believe this is a defect in the product and they should replace it. Samsung offered 40% off another stove, but why would I pay full price again for the same thing to happen as it seems to be a problem with this black stainless coating? Has anyone else experienced this issue? They told me that they haven't heard of this happening when I asked if there was a recall.

I went into P.C. Richard and said, "I need a refrigerator." They said, "We don't have any. But if one comes in, do you want it?" I said, "Yes." It was right before Thanksgiving and they called the person who was supposed to get the refrigerator but did not answer the phone. So they called me and I took it. Everybody was great. I just had service on it and the guy was wonderful. Everything went very well.

The technicians that came to repair our fridge were not competent enough to understand that we should have dumped the fridge and get a new one. They tried to put in parts. One of the part was necessary, but they came after us to put in a second part and that was misdiagnosed. The first time they came, they put in the compressor. The fridge worked for three days. It turned off again. The second technician put in a new motherboard, but that made no difference. They told me there was a leak in the freon line so they changed the line. Then they said it needed three more parts. We were without a fridge for more than two months and we couldn't be without it for so long. We told them we'd buy a new fridge. PC Richard honored that they didn't fix it right so they repaid us whatever charges they put on us.

P. C. Richard & Son’s service is good and the prices are okay. I've called repair a few times and they've always treated me very nicely. They're excellent. I was looking for a new appliance and a new stove and the guy was very helpful. I had a slight gas leak on my stove and it was intermittent. They sent a repair out and they could not find the leak and neither could I at the time. It was absolutely fair. It was suggested that, if it happens again, call the local utility and they'll red tag it, and then it'll have to be done on the warranty.
The salesman was totally right and I understood. He said he would love to sell me a new stove but if I could get one on the warranty, to do it that way. They are helpful and I like their people. But a few of the salesmen are very pushy. My better half and I were in there one day and this one guy descended on us and wouldn't leave me alone. Finally, I got a little snappy with him and told him to back off, plain and simple. But other than that, I've had positive experiences.

P.C. Richard was running a sale at the time when we bought the refrigerator back in 2016 and since then, we got the ice maker repaired twice. The repair guy came in, did his thing, and it's working fine. He was very courteous, polite, and knew what he was doing. It was great.

I've spent a lot of money with P.C. Richard over the years, and I've only received aggravation. I paid over $4,000 for my refrigerator, and I bought the warranty. The refrigerator is two years old, and I've had six servicemen here. They fixed every part that they could fix and it's still freezing my food. I lost thousands and thousands of dollars worth of food, and they just keep jerking me around. The refrigerator is nonfixable. I have to get the technician out two more times for them to replace it. They have to be on the phone with Whirlpool and it needs to be documented. I was told this after the sixth time, not the third, fourth, or fifth time.
I shouldn't be having to deal with this and I shouldn't be losing this kind of food. Food is expensive. So now, I'm gonna buy a refrigerator, but I'll be damned if I go to P.C. Richard. I would tell people to absolutely not go with them as well. I bought my son all his appliances from P.C. Richard. They were ordered, but the wrong ones were brought to his house. They were supposed to change out the handles. He's still waiting. It was an over $10,000 order.

We purchased a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and hood for the stove from P.C. Richard & Son. We had to redo our whole kitchen because we had a big water leak in our house. So far, so good. We had a minor mishap with the refrigerator. We had to call P.C. Richard and they sent out somebody. One of the freezer compartments wasn't working, and the gentleman came and did whatever he had to do and now it's been fine. Overall, P.C. Richard & Son's customer service is very good. I bought a number of things from them in the past and they've always been very reliable. I would go back again because they stand behind their product.

I like to buy locally and P.C. Richard & Son is in the town that I live in. I went in knowing what I wanted to get, and their rep helped me out just fine. I purchased a stove. The quality is good. I did have a problem with the stove, and then when I called, they helped me right out and replaced it in a very quick time.

The staff at PC Richard and Son in Jersey City make shopping in a PC Richard store very undesirable. Rather than my shopping another PC Richard and Son store, I would go to another company in the area, even though this store is closest to me for appliances, it has a good tax rate, and good sales. I have never encountered service as I have in PC Richard & Son in Jersey City on State Highway 440. They are a poor representation for the company.

We used P.C. Richard & Son in the past, and we did a kitchen renovation so we needed to upgrade our appliances. They didn't have some of the stuff that we were looking for, so they suggested different ones. They were very helpful, and everything worked out fine. We got a pretty good deal. Plus, we got a free small refrigerator with the LG stuff we bought. We did have a problem with the stove, and we had bought the service contract but they wouldn't honor it because my contractor installed it. Other than that, customer service was fine. They even got me the part number I needed to fix the stove.

I had an issue one time with the washing machine and they handled the situation the proper way by taking it back and letting me purchase something else. Also, I have a salesperson who I sometimes call and he takes the order over the phone and I receive delivery.

My experience with P.C. Richard was really good. I had an issue with my Frigidaire refrigerator. It stopped working after a couple of months. I had called ConsumerAffairs on Frigidaire because of their website conflict to what their customer service states, but P.C. Richard was able to give me a new refrigerator because it was still under the year. Frigidaire never reimbursed me for all the spoiled food I had, but at least P.C. Richard was able to give me a new refrigerator. Whenever I call P.C. Richard, every customer service representative I spoke to was very nice. They were very helpful, very informative, and answered whatever questions I had. They have great customer service. The prices were good, too.

P.C. Richard & Son has been around for a very long time and we started shopping there a long time ago. They were one of the first stores that sold appliances and we noticed them. We purchased TVs from them and then we purchased a refrigerator. We purchased a mattress, small appliances, microwaves and all kinds of different things over the years. The sales reps know their products and call back when I stop by or call. They are helpful and knowledgeable.

I placed the call to P.C. Richard at the beginning of April and the tech looked at the dryer for two seconds and said it was the heater or heating element. I wasn't able to get in for two more weeks for an appointment and then he came back and said it was fixed. He left and within 15 minutes, it was still doing the same thing. So, he said he needed to order two other parts. And I’m waiting for those. I was told they would only be a few days to come in, but that doesn't seem correct. When I called today, the customer service rep said they're waiting on one part and that won't be around until Monday. I told her that last time, it took me two weeks to get an appointment. If they know the part is scheduled to come in on Monday, I asked if I could schedule one for Wednesday next week. At least that'd leave me more time. And she said they can't do that, not until the part is in. So at this rate, I'm gonna be stuck for a month without a dryer working properly.

I have and extended warranty that expires in 4 months. My refrigerator went three days ago. When the repair service came they said with a ten year old refrigerator it would not be a great idea to replace the compressor. Told that the warranty was only for service and not a replacement. They want to replace the compressor. With only a short time left on warranty was told parts would only be covered for 90 days. At this point I am extremely disappointed with P.C. Richard. .

To Whom This May Concern, I have been a customer of PC Richard & Son for decades. I shop at the Elmont location in Elmont NY because I own my home not far away from that location. I have never had a problem with any appliance or TV I have purchased from PC Richard until NOW!!!! I bought a refrigerator not too long ago and in addition, paid a 5 year service agreement. This refrigerator is not working properly at all!! Recently, every morning, pools and pools of water is leaking from under the fridge and if I am not careful, I step into that and possibly slip and fall and break my neck, the ice maker MAKES NO ICE AT ALL. I open the door of the refrigerator, and the smell of the expensive food I buy from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods rots and smells awful because the refrigerator is not working properly.
First appointment, the service man came and claimed to have fixed the problem...NOT!!! The fridge leaks more water than before, not to mention, I had to take time off to have them visit my home. 2nd appointment, which was a complete waste of time...serviceman says he doesn't have the part to fix the fridge and I should call tomorrow for another appointment. If you know the make and model of the fridge, would't you come with the parts??? He came early enough to get the part and come back to fix it. I believe he didn't know how to fix it and wanted someone else to come, that's why he said what he said.
I called the next day, and PC Richard operator said the next "available" appointment we have is following Thursday (which is almost a full week away). My expensive food is rotting away, pools of water leaking on the floor every day, not to mention the amount of towels, and paper towels I have to use to clean THIS MESS up is not cost effective and time consuming. Why do I pay for this service or why is it offered to customers if it can't be fixed or properly executed, when needed. I am completely frustrated and I WANT THIS FIXED PROPERLY OR REPLACED!!!!

We happily bought a Viking Range from PC Richard about 5 years ago. This is a huge and expensive purchase. It has been service calls ever since. Gratefully we purchased the service on it for over $1,000. Each call is over $400 and that doesn't include parts. We have about 10 service calls for repair and PC Richard refuses to return our calls and requests for a replacement. It is a lemon and covered by extended warranty and now we realize they will not honor this agreement. I believe they are waiting for the service to expire and I will have had my Viking stove which cost $7,000 for only 7 years. That is unacceptable.

Purchased a Bosch dishwasher a bit over 5 years ago from P.C. Richard in Newington CT. It is now not working, due to ? pump per error code. This is NOT a warranty issue: we will pay for repair. The Bosch tech refused to touch our dishwasher because the sticker/plate that has the model and serial number is missing. We did NOT remove it, and it did nor fall off while we were using it, we would have noticed and saved it. Bosch says the model number on the P.C. Richard invoice is "incomplete". ??? Bosch is not willing to bend on this. This dishwasher was delivered and installed by P.C. Richard without that sticker. Even when we finally found a repair person authorized by Bosch and willing to travel OUT OF STATE to come fix it, they told us that they might not be able to get parts because that info was missing. Of course, we would still have to pay for the service call. We now have a dishwasher we cannot repair.
The last call I had with P.C. Richard was the "we won't help you. Good luck" type of response. Research online points to either this possibly being a refurbished unit (sold to US as NEW), or an illegal "grey market" sale. In fact, a state statute where we live make it illegal to sell appliances without this information. Wish we knew all this beforehand! We will NEVER buy anything from P.C. Richard again, and warn others to check for these stickers/plates when buying appliances!

On Thursday, January 18, 2024, my wife, Krista **, purchased a new dishwasher/installation at your Bellmore NY location. In the initial amount of $652.77. Installation was scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2024. I used a vacation day to be off for the installation (value $600).
Dishwasher install attempt #1. On Friday January 19, 2024, the installers arrived with a damaged/cracked dishwasher that they could not install. The installers advised me that they (1) could not get a replacement dishwasher and (2) to call the Bellmore NY store and speak to the salesman - Anthony. Anthony was rude, curt and unhelpful. I received a callback from Gerald, who apologized for his employee Anthony. Gerald offered a $150 credit which I accepted. Ultimately, the replacement installation was rescheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024. So far one day of my life has been wasted.
Dishwasher install attempt #2. On Saturday, January 20, 2024 a new and different team of installers arrived with a new dishwasher. These installers were not proficient in the English language and it was difficult communicating. They installed the new machine and left. Upon leaving I ran a test cycle to ensure it was in working order. During the cycle, water began spraying from the door and flooding my kitchen floor (see photos/video). I canceled the cycle and immediately called the Bellmore store and spoke to Jeff. Luckily I was home to stop the flooding or else my new kitchen floors would be ruined. Jeff arranged for a new machine and new installers.
Dishwasher install attempt #3. A third install team arrived with a 3rd machine, this machine was the incorrect color.
Dishwasher install attempt #4. A fourth dishwasher arrived in the afternoon of January 20, 2024, and was installed by a “Fernando.” He discovered that the flooding issue was caused by the first install team “capping” the drainage line with a yellow plastic cap (see attached photo). The subsequent installers NEGLECTED to remove the cap causing the machine to flood the kitchen as there was no way for the dishwasher to pump the water into the drainage line. Finally, the dishwasher was installed. Two days of my life now wasted.
I subsequently filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, made a Google review and was contacted/offered a “service contract” from a Rich ** on Monday, January 22, 2024. Obviously, I wouldn’t want your employees working on my appliances after such a display of incompetence made during the initial install so I declined. I then received a call from a Mr ** who offered to refund me some fictional “COD installation” charge that doesn’t actually exist, in addition to a gift card. I declined the fictional cash on-delivery charge (still have no idea what this guy was talking about) and do not want a gift card that will lead to you having more business. Mr ** was not helpful and he subsequently hung up the phone offering me zero satisfaction.

Don't use P.C. Richards because they are not capable of delivering the products in working order. Due to careless and incompetent delivery, my Bosch stove needs a new motherboard and the refrigerator door is dented. Very aggressive delivery guys.

I purchased a Friedrich AC in 2020. I took out the 5 year protection plan. Over a week ago we noticed that the unit was not cooling. I called for an appointment for 7/13/23. The repair shop came and determined that there was a Freon leak. He told me that the unit must go into the shop and that they would call me sometime this week for pickup. I have a work schedule that changes every 2 weeks. They only do pickups on Monday -Wednesday. I am available for Monday otherwise I would have to wait until 7/31/23 for a pickup. The service dept also told me that parts are on a 1-2 week backorder.
When I called and explained all of this to service they could not help. I asked for a supervisor to call me today but they have not. When will I get this unit repaired in September???. The unit is three years old! I would like a replacement. We have purchased all our tvs (8) our washer (2) and dryers (2), one dishwasher and 1 refrigerator in addition to new kitchen appliances over the past year. Microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. A refrigerator/Freezer and a chest freezer. Also 3 in the wall A/C! I am a good customer and I expect better from them. I will take my business elsewhere.

We purchased the trio of Samsung appliances, range, refrigerator and dishwasher. I will spare you the nightmare of getting them to match a competitors price and the run around delivery(s). The dishwasher DW80R9950US stopped working after 2 months. We had error codes (PC and 7C) which were relayed to the service company employed by both Samsung and PC Richard. The first technician was from Samsung direct. He said the unit needed to be replaced and to call PC Richard. PCR insisted on one of "their" technicians come out. Samsung confirmed that they both use the same repair service subcontractor. That technician replaced a part that made no difference. He said it should be replaced but a new door with a new computer board might work.
When I contacted the PC Richards salesperson who sold us the appliances he said he couldn't help. He said that we must deal with their service company directly. The third technician would not work on the dishwasher because it is their policy not to pull out the dishwasher. WHAT? No where on the written warranty nor the receipt does it say this. The technician left without doing anything. We are a bit over three weeks with no dishwasher and no resolve. We are trying to reach the store again but that is its own problem. They don't answer the phone.

Purchased a stove (2019) and, in less than 3 1/2 years, we had to replace essentially all of the parts to the range, all the parts that make it work! The last time we called Customer Service, we got a person on the phone that was apparently too preoccupied to assist us. And, on top of it, he had a terrible attitude. We have purchased from this company over the years and, based on this experience, will never purchase from them again.

I just got the worst customer service experience with P.C. Richard & Son service department. I was gifted a brand new Samsung television for Christmas. The television was turned on Christmas Day. Everything was great until end of January when all of a sudden the TV wouldn’t turn on. I tried everything. I used the TV remote, the cable box remote, and found the button on the TV and tried that. They sent out a service person to do a diagnostic and he determined that the television's computer and screen were bad and needed to be replaced. I asked him why wouldn’t I get a new TV since it’s so new. He stated over 30 days so doesn’t qualify for replacement. I told him it was 35 days. that’s ridiculous.
I’ve been a client for over 30 years. Have purchased all items from them and always received superior customer service except now. I have their credit card and I will no longer purchase any items from them again. I will go to their competitors (Best Buy) and others to purchase items. Ridiculous how they would treat a long time client like this on a 5 day difference to get a replacement. Be very careful when purchasing items there because it appears they don’t care about their clients. Very poor customer service and I was in customer service industry my entire working career.

Purchased LG washer & dryer 12/9/22. Receipt states items would be delivered in 3 weeks. 6 weeks later they finally were delivered. Paid for delivery & installation & the delivery guys did hook up the machines however the dryer door needed to be reversed. As of now I need to reach over the door to load laundry into dryer. Did not notice this until after delivery guys left as they had machines running & advised me to let them complete cycle. Reached out to P.C. Richard & was told that it’s an additional $50 to reverse the door. I have purchased 3 dryers in the last 30 years from Home Depot & install charge ALWAYS included the door opening to whichever side necessary. This place is just the worst appliance store. When I replace my kitchen appliances I’ll go back to Home Depot.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from PC Richards in Sept. 2022. Only after it was delivered did I realize that it had a dent in the door (covered by a sticker) and the light did not work. I called for an exchange. Second samsung refrigerator arrived a month later...customer service was terrible but that is not the major problem here.
Within a month, a part in the freezer broke and was sending cold air down to the refrigerator and freezing our food on the top shelf. By this time, I had lost trust in them and was suspicious about whether their samsung fridges were actually coming from the manufacturer or whether they were refurbished. We decided to go with a different brand and paid $100 to switch the brand although I really liked samsung more. No discounts, no formal apologies and this has been such a hassle. The latest fridge was delivered yesterday with the doors attached to the wrong side. I am crossing my fingers hoping we can get some life out of this product. We will never, ever purchase anything from PC Richards again.

I was on the PC Richard & Son's online website looking to buy a TV when a person named Carolyn popped up on the chat and asked if they could help me. I informed her that I am a disabled veteran and requested a discount on a $900 tv. She committed to take $30 off to which I agreed. She said she would send me an email with a link and code to purchase the tv. I received the email and it stated that it would only reduce it by $20. I am disappointed that they did not honor the agreement and that it was unprofessional to renege on the agreed amount. I sent an email back expressing my disappointment and that I would not be purchasing the television from them and did not receive any response. It states on their website 113 years of Honesty, Integrity, and Reliability. I do not believe that they live up to those values and out of principle would not purchase from them.

I’m immensely grateful for Mr. **’s courtesy, expertise throughout the several times I needed to consult with him in the PCR store about this matter: He answered all my questions patiently, with clear, concise explanations and offered valuable information and suggestions that enabled me to make more accurate decisions about the options available to me.
PCR also had readily available information in its computer, available at the salesperson’s station, to verify measurements of my current AC & the sleeve into which the new AC needed to be inserted; this gave me great peace of mind. The whole process of evaluating my old AC, completing the process of purchasing and having a new AC (that met my specific needs) delivered was completed promptly; it’s now working beautifully in my apartment! I am also immensely grateful to PCR for having such an excellent employee as Malik ** on its staff.

On or about June 8th I ordered/purchased a Subzero refrigerator. The delivery date was changed quite a few times, I was assured that March 21 would be a delivery date, a representative called me and stated that refrigerator is in stock at the distributor and delivery is scheduled for March 21, 2021. Around March 13th same person called me and informed that Subzero "pulled out" the stock and refrigerator is no longer available. I reached out to Subzero and was told that they do not deal directly with P.C. Richard's only with distributor and the information I received was incorrect. Next few weeks passed by and I went to the store in person, and spoke with manager named Pedro, who was kind enough and spent time with me.
Next day he called me back and informed me that my refrigerator "just arrived to the warehouse". Delivery was scheduled on May 25th, 2022 between 11am and 2 pm with 2 emails and 2 phone call with confirmation of delivery by Jimmy at the store. Next day May 25th, nothing happens, several calls to store manager and phone call to customer service and complaint filed with Robert did not bring any results. No delivery, no phone calls, nada, zilch. Complete fraud, took my money and, (just a thought that P.C. Richard and Son might sell my order few times to generate extra profits?) generated interest on it, is that legal practice?

So I purchased a TCL 55 inch 6 series last year. During that time I asked if there was a veteran discount and was told no. Fine. I got a warranty for it and it stopped working. I was told I can only get a store credit not a refund. Fine but not happy. When I went to the store I decided to get a bigger TV so I got the 75 inch. When I spoke to the manager about a veteran discount he said he will give me $100 off but not 10% as other veterans told me it supposed to be off the entire purchase.
Now the new TV (75 inches) is having problems and the store told me I probably wouldn’t get a store credit as I already used up a warranty claim for the first TV. Customer service was not available to speak to me as they were already closed for the day. Really disappointed on how this is turning out. I really wish they would give a full refund and make clear policy on veterans' discount.

We had bought a refrigerator outright through PC Richard for delivery on Feb 2nd. When installed, we were supposed to also have a copper line installed for the water dispenser. Upon delivery, installment team says cannot do copper due to it "being too difficult", but we can install using existing plastic line. Fine. My plastic line then was cut and was leaking water into our basement where multiple laptops had water damage. We had left for vacation already and a family member had noticed it. Tried to get service technician out and when they did finally show up, they came in and told us within 30 seconds that they can't even install a copper line due to me having a finished basement? #1.
Sent service person out for an installation ticket. This person quite literally clamped my plastic line and then left within 30 seconds. 2. Why not just tell us from the beginning that you cannot install a copper line? Very confusing as in the city of Philadelphia, the code is to have a copper line and there are certainly finished basements in Philadelphia. Fine. Fast forward again, and the damage claims department failed to take an ounce of accountability for installing the refrigerator at all. No one useful was able to reach out to me. Tony ** was the one who was "assisting" me and this person couldn't even pick up the phone to explain to me the details of his email even though it was requested multiple times.
When asked for a supervisor, I was told the next person up was the CEO. Are there not any other communication channels in place for escalating these situations? Everything was "It's hearsay," yet I am not fully understanding how a brand new refrigerator ends up hooked up and wheeled into my home without an installation team physically bringing it in; especially after the fact that we PAID for the installation. There were 2 individuals (installation and the service technician) out on my property who both tampered with my plastic line yet Tony ** claims both of those two individuals didn't touch it.
Apparently according to the paperwork PC Richards has, does not notate someone physically installing the fridge yet the office in Conshohocken clearly has told me it's notated on their end that the installment person did indeed install the fridge. I guess you guys work with magic because somehow my refrigerator got wheeled into its place with the plastic line hooked up. It is extremely disappointing knowing that a company like PC Richards can't even pick up the phone to talk with an unhappy customer. Instead, just continues to send email replies that clearly do not help the situation. I will never do business with PC Richard again in any capacity after you completely failing to provide a basic level of customer service. Oh & of course, no returns on appliances and nothing was even attempted to rectify the fact that there are ceiling tiles destroyed, and 2 work laptops with water damage.

My overall rating is zero stars. I am totally disgusted with PC Richard & Son and their customer service representatives. I ordered a Hotpoint mini refrigerator and I opened the box and noticed that the refrigerator door had a huge dent in it. I contacted the company and was told that being that it has been over 30 days there wasn't anything that could be done to assist me. I didn't know that I had to rush to open my merchandise. It is suppose to be brand new. So now I am stuck with a refrigerator that was probably refurbished anyway. Never again will I ever spend money with this company. I would have never had this issue if I would have ordered from Amazon, Target, or Best Buy.

Winsome ** helped me try out and choose a new bed, giving me valuable information, answering my questions with patience and kindness and giving me ample time to sample the mattresses and adjustable bases. We settled on a base which has the advantage of easy portability for delivery because it folds in half for being carried up my twisty staircase. Then manager Sara added a mattress cover and two pillows and put the deal together; the ladies charged my P. C. Richard and Son credit card and gave me time to repay in monthly installments with no finance charge. I very much appreciate the friendliness and courtesy shown me by Winsome and Sara and I look forward to enjoying my new bed.

I purchased a Warranty and I'm getting the runaround with using it. My refrigerator went out over a week ago, and I yet to have anyone tell me when I'm getting it repaired or if it needs to be replaced. It's a week before Thanksgiving and I have no groceries or anything. I will never as long as I live purchase anything from them again. The customer service sucks, so does the warranty. Better off buying it with the manufactured company.

I contacted your Levittown store at the recommendation of a local appliance repairman who suggested that rather than put extensive repairs into an antiquated appliance, that Adrian of your staff should be able to find me a direct replacement without requiring modification of cabinets. He was right. Adrian found that what I wanted was not in stock, but he went out of his way to contact the manufacturer's warehouse to find out if they had what I wanted in stock and how quickly they could ship it to the PCR warehouse. Due to his efforts to expedite, he was able to have the wall oven delivered and installed within a week. Adrian should be commended for the extra efforts he put in on my behalf. Without that I could not have gotten what I needed so quickly. I much appreciate all he did.

I ordered the oven three or four months ago but I know it wasn't the store's fault that it took so long to come in. The technicians showed up on time and worked hard. I was nervous that they were technicians and not licensed plumbers, but they seemed to know what they were doing. I particularly appreciated Omar from the P.C. Richards store calling afterwards to check that everything had gone well.

The LG steam washer/dryer stopped working for the second time. It wasn't an inexpensive product. I scheduled a service call and the morning of the appointment P.C. Richard called to cancel and reschedule for the following week. I asked if it could be done any time soon, as I have young children and a lot of laundry. Nope! No apologies. I called a local company who came right out and repaired it for less than the cost the P.C. Richard quoted me. You treat customers like crap, eventually you have no customers!

I have been a customer in the Riverhead store for many years. I met one of the salesmen many years ago. His name is Vic **. Countless times he has provided the best guidance for my purchases. Most recently he went the extra mile to monitor a shipment to the warehouse for a refrigerator I needed and even called me back when the stock was received. I was able to complete the transaction over the phone a pick up the new unit at the warehouse. This saved 5 days of waiting for a residential delivery and hundreds of dollars of perishable food.

The Westchester flood did our family in, we lost so much. With an active family of athletic teenagers a washer & dryer keep our household running smoothly. Calling to order a washer/dryer was one of my first calls. Some errors, snafus, some big ones on P.C. Richard's part happened along the way. I would like to make a comment on your outstanding salesman, Anthony **. Back on March 26, 2021, I placed an order for several appliances totaling over $7000. I was in the process of purchasing a new home and would need these appliances by mid-June or mid-July. Anthony helped me placed the order and informed me that the stove would be on backorder. He assured me that he would keep an eye on the next delivery of stoves. I had a delivery mid July for the appliances. Anthony was able to get the stove but I was told that the refrigerator was damaged at the warehouse. I did have an issue with the first delivery. I was very happy to see my stove being placed on the tailgate. Unfortunately the stove that I waited for so long fell off the tailgate. The stove was damaged. I immediately called Anthony and he was able to earmark one of the remainder stoves to be shipped to me the following week.
If Anthony's quick response, I am quite sure that I would not have gotten the new stove. I also had an issue with the refrigerator. Unfortunately Anthony was unable to guarantee a delivery date for the end of August for refrigerator. Most likely it would not come until the end of September. After living out of a camping cooler for one week, I could not wait for the refrigerator to be deliver the end of September. Anthony was able to find a comparable refrigerator that would fit my kitchen. I have been shopping at PC Richards for many years. If you check my PC Richards credit card activity, you can see I buy all my appliances at your store. I have dealt with many salespeople at your store, but I felt that Anthony ** had been exceptional in his service. If it was not for his help I feel I would have stopped shopping and PC Richards. Instead I highly recommend your store and if you are lucky enough, try to get Anthony to help you.

So I purchased two air conditioners from PC Richard a little over two weeks ago. The type of A/C is Frigidaire 350 sq ft, 8,000 BTU Model # FFTA083WA1. What’s my complaint you ask? Well, one A/C began blowing (wait for it) HOT AIR! In fact the top of the unit got so hot, we had to turn it off for fear it would catch fire and blow out. I returned this unit back to the store and it was replaced with a new one. Currently the new one is operating on a “now you see me, now you don’t”, function, as it turns on and off at will, without being programmed. I guess that’s a step up from blowing hot air, ya think? Now the unit in my room wakes me up every 5 minutes or so doing the SAME THING. It’s so bad, every time it shuts off, I wake up, furious and annoyed. Did I mention that it turns itself back on and off every five minutes? (oh yeah, I did!)
PC Richard is sending someone to service it, which I’m sure will amount to nothing more than a waste of both their time as well as mine. Sadly the handwriting is on the wall, and I know these appliances are defective and/or inferior in quality and belong in the scrapyard. (Sigh) They’ll have to be returned. Please do not buy this product.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from P.C Richards in March 2021. Can I just tell you that this has been the worst purchase ever. The original delivery had to be replaced. Then on the day of replacement they opened at least 3-4 of the same refrigerator just to have the same problems as the original. Finally, they opened one that seemed to be ok but NOPE same problem 6 months down the line. I have never bought such a bad PRODUCT. I feel like Whirlpool and PC Richards have failed me. This was my first time buying a product from PC Richards in at least 10 years. I am currently looking into legal options. I have so many pictures that shows the disaster and what I am dealing with. It is just a shame that companies take advantage of buyers. NEVER AGAIN....

WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR IF POSSIBLE. I purchased an LG Washer Dryer Combination machine from P.C. Richard and Son in Nanuet NY. Since date of purchase the machine has broken down 3 times requiring a repair person and new part. On each of these occasions I had to take time off from work (unpaid) and wait 2 to 8 weeks for machine to be repaired. I have been in contact with PC Richards and was told if the machine breaks down 3 times and it’s the same problem they would replace the machine. The third time occurred on 5/27/21. I called PC Richard's Service Dept. and was told they would speak with Service mgr. and get back to me. Never received a return call. Only a message they contacted a repair company again who would be in touch with me.
The company they contacted was 2 hrs. away from my home. I waited over 2 weeks for them to return my call to set up appt., but nothing. Called PC Richard again. Advised never got call from repair company and re-advised same problem. Was told they would replace the machine. Again, told would investigate and get back to me. Another message left they would reach out to repair another company who would be in touch with me, no mention of replacing the machine as previously told. Another 3 wks. passed no call from either until 6/24/21 and appt set up for 7/1/21 with repair company. Took another day off from work due to their window of availability.
Repair person arrived at 1:00 pm, looked at machine, said same problem and would need to order part. This appliance repair person advised that the problem was a defect with the machine, the small plastic part used to run the pump to spin and drain the machine would become clogged and snap requiring new part. He stated known problem with this type of combo washer/dryer and the machine itself was made for very small laundry loads and would continue to break if anything other this was washed at one time. Told me to contact PC Richard again and demand a new machine. Was Very upsetting and felt as if I was duped.
When I purchased this machine was never told any of this. Was told such a great washer dryer. Was even encouraged to buy larger heavy-duty machine. I would have never has spent nearly 1500.00 on a machine that could only wash the smallest of loads. Called PC Richard's Service dept. once again on 7/1/21 and relayed this information provided by their repair person. Told would relay information to their Service Manager and would get back to me. Received not even a courtesy return call.
Finally, after no call from Service Dept and being without the machine for nearly 2 months I stopped in spoke with the manager Marc ** on 7/15/21 at PC Richard Nanuet, NY where I purchased the machine. He called the Service dept while I waited. He advised them I have been without use of the machine since 5/27/21 and was getting the runaround. As per Marc and his conversation with the Service dept. on this date, he was told if I did not receive call from Appliance Repair company by 7/16/21 they would replace the machine. Did not get any call on 7/16/21 from the appliance repair company and called Marc the Mgr. back to advise. He said would reach out to Service dept and they would contact me about replacing the machine. July 19th message left by service dept. that they contacted the Appliance Repair again, who should be in touch with me to fix the machine.
On 7/21/21 message left by Appliance Repair Comp. they could come out to replace part on 7/26/21, nearly 2 months after initial request to PC Richard. Calls made again to both Marc the Mgr. and Service repair on 7/22/21 to ask what happened to the promised machine exchange. I got a very rude customer service rep. who refused to let me speak with the service manager or talk for that matter. Then she hung up on me. Keep in mind every call to this Service dept. you are on hold for a minimum of 10 -15 minutes before anyone even picks up the phone. So now I must take time off from work to have the part replaced again, which is almost guaranteed to break soon. My warranty is up in October 2021, so I believe they are just trying to prolong this till then, so PC Richard would no longer be responsible.

One year ago I bought a very expensive gaming laptop, during the process, the salesperson suggested that I purchased insurance to protect it, he said, “If anything happens to it, we will fix or replace it.” So I paid for two years insurance. My laptop started acting up, so I reached out to the MSI, who told me that based on my description my laptop screen was broken and I needed to send it in. Knowing that I had insurance I rushed over to PC Richard. After telling the salesperson what was going on, he presented me with a blue document outlining the rules governing the insurance policy, he stated that they were not responsible for any structural damages.
I then replied, “Why was I not given this blue document when I was purchasing the laptop, why was I told that if anything happened to my laptop your company would fix it." The manager then got involved and stated, "What company would cover structural damages, they would go out of business.” They stated that they would get it fixed, but I would have to pay for the shipping and the fixtures. I then left and went to Best Buy, where they told me that their insurance covers structural damages. I gave it to Best Buy to fix. PC Richard did not return my insurance money, nor did they fix my laptop. I will never go back to any of their stores.

The service technician Nick is very compassionate and caring. When the first condenser was the not the right one he went out of his way to locate the correct one. I was originally told the new condenser was not going to be in until 7/10. Given the fact that my wife and I are both in our mid 70's and had been without refrigeration for 5 weeks he felt it was unfair and not the right way to handle customers. Nick drove to the warehouse and reached out to his supervisor to locate the right one. The work was done neatly, respectfully and with care. Nick is an asset to your company and should be treated as a valued employee.

Advertising that you offer a 'price match guarantee' without really offering it is a little disingenuous. I found a price somewhere else that was cheaper and after soooo much back and forth with their customer service they told me that there are many brands that they do not honor this guarantee with (some mentioned above). By the time they confirmed that they were not honoring the guarantee the sale at the other place was sold out. So I lost out due to their suspect advertising. However they didn't charge me for the 'meh your loss' attitude. I was given that free of charge. The days of 'we're a family company, we're not like other big box stores' are well gone. You have been warned.

P.C. Richard has officially gone downhill. We purchased a GE Washer/Dryer combo three years ago which recently broke. We called PC Richard for service since they boast about their service technicians. On the day of the appointment, GE Service shows up. The GE Service quoted us THREE times more than PC Richard told us. We called PC Richard and they denied quoting the price we were told which is what seems to be the way with PC Richard lately. They are no longer the Giant they used to be. We purchased almost every Appliance from them in the past but we will not any longer. I don't think they have too much of a Service Department if they can't even come out to service a Dryer. Nobody is any help in this company anymore...

After having a humiliating experience at the 86th St. (salesperson was rude, gave us the run around as to why we needed the survey, got angry after we declined and declined insurance he called his “manager” who had on a dirty sweatshirt and accused us of “if you don’t have the money then perhaps you shouldn’t be purchasing this model refrigerator.”) we walked out and went to the location in Harlem. Not only were we greeted immediately, manager Dave was patient, he measured, talked with us, offered my elderly mother a seat, explained why we should have the insurance and Stacy, the co salesperson was courteous in getting our warranty. I will recommend Harlem PC Richard any day of the week!

PC Richards is great until you have a problem. It took 3 weeks for a technician to provide warranty service for my Electrolux dishwasher. He arrived an hour before the scheduled appointment. I explained the problem an, "Er" light comes on before the end of the cycle and the washer stops. I was told that I was using the wrong Cascade detergent, and as the cycle had not yet gotten to the point that the "Er" light came on, he said that there was no problem. After he left the "Er" light did come on and the washer shut down. I again called PC Richards Service and was told it would be another three weeks and that it would be the same service technician.

The P.C. Ricard & Son online sales was very easy to use, but to no avail. Before I consummated the order for a printer, the site said the product had an expected delivery date in four days. I completed the order, received a confirmation immediately -- again, with the four-day delivery noted, and received a confirmation from my credit card company that the cost had been charged to my card.
Today, I tried to track the package that I expected tomorrow on the company's website. After multiple attempts online that failed, I called the company. Following 5 failed attempts to talk with someone -- the phone tree was reported the wait time exceeded its limits and requested I try later -- I finally spoke with a representative. The rep, after a 4-minute hold, reported that they did not have the item in stock, that they had no idea when it would become available, and that I wasn't alone -- there were many orders in queue for the product before mine. I asked for a refund after expressing my dissatisfaction with the process, and the cancellation of the order was handled. I received a cancellation email, with the kicker that the credit card would not be immediately credited, but could take 3 to 5 business days.

I bought a Samsung washer from them with the warranty for three additional years. My washing machine stopped draining. Was filled with water. They sent a technician out. Even though I gave them the code that it was showing he came with no part and had to reschedule for the following week and a half later. He came back to fix the pump. Left before the washer drained and after he left the washer again was not working properly and was throwing the same code. Called them back. They told me someone can come out for another week. Week goes by. Technician comes out. Tells me I need a new electrical board. Has to order the part and I have to wait yet again another two weeks.
In the meantime I have now spent $200 at the laundromat and still have no washing machine. They come back. Fix the switchboard. Two days later it stops working again. I called them back and tell them I just want a new washing machine that this is a big headache and I’ve gone without a washer now for over a month. They tell me they have to reschedule a service call forget again another week out. By the time this is all said and done it will be a month and a half to two months that I will be without a washing machine and I have to continuously drag laundry out of my house to A laundromat. I will never ever ever ever purchased anything from PC Richard again as their customer service is terrible and they do not care about you or the status of your appliances.

I moved to NYC in June 2018 for a 3 year job and purchased a window air condition from PC Richards at the same time. I was offered an extended warranty for 2 years and before purchasing, knowing I was going to be living in NYC, specifically discussed with the sales rep that the 2 years would be added on to the 1 year manufacturer warranty, which he confirmed. This would provide me with warranty coverage throughout my NYC stay. I now have a problem with my AC two and a half years since purchase, and when I called PC Richards they tell me my product is out of warranty and the 2 year warranty I bought started from the date of purchase. The manager says there is no way he can confirm what was discussed with the sales rep 2 years ago. I would never even consider paying $50 extra just for 1 year extra warranty. This was an awful experience and I recommend taking your future business elsewhere.

I purchased a Viper autostart for my 2020 Kona. Three appointments later it still does not work. It was necessary to leave my vehicle overnight as Eddie (Wayne NJ store) and another unidentified man from the Ledgewood NJ store took my car apart, could not fix the problem and then couldn't get my car to start at all. The manager Chris ** had promised after the second appointment he would personally complete the work and failed to show up, this is when it was necessary to leave my vehicle overnight. On the day my car was left Eddie was in a call with Chris (using a speakerphone) I overheard the two discussing fixing my vehicle with incorrect parts as they did not have the correct parts on hand. The unidentified service person repeatedly said, "We don't have the right part" and was ignored by Eddie and Chris.
Now I have my vehicle back, Viper still not working. I have to bring it to the dealer tomorrow to have the electrical system inspected for damage. I was promised a full refund for the Viper...that still has not happened. I reached out to Mike ** from corporate who has been of no help. He has REFUSED to give me, a paying customer a rundown on what work was done to my vehicle. I requested his supervisor's name which he did give me but called later today to say he reached out and his supervisor Anthony ** has refused to speak with me. I have reached out to Mr. ** by email this evening and will wait to see if I hear from him.
Mr. ** wants me to give them another opportunity to fix the Viper. I am not comfortable with this as three servicemen so far have done nothing and discussed using incorrect parts to fix what they have broken. If I go elsewhere PC Richard no longer has any responsibility for any damage they have done. I now have a 2020 vehicle with likely damage to the electrical system and a non-working Viper. I WILL NEVER SHOP IN PC RICHARD NOR WOULD I EVER RECCOMEND THEM.

Let me start by saying I posted this review (along with comments about the Refrigerator I purchased) on PC Richard's (PCR) website, but it was deleted, as it did "not meet all our website guidelines". Caveat emptor! First level support is very polite, and they answer the phone in a reasonable time, but they seemingly lack authority to do ANYTHING. All requests slide into a black-hole, with zero follow-up. I was shuttled between Internet Sales, the Service department, and Customer Service like a hot coal. I can only assume this is intentional on the part of PCR.
PCR also tried twice to shirk responsibility, and have me deal directly with GE to get answers to my questions and/or resolve my issue. I can't imagine what PCR would've done if I'd reported my issue after 1 day vs. 30 minutes after the installers left my house! My original delivery was returned because the refrigerator door was dented. My 2nd fridge also came with a dent in the door, but I needed one desperately, so I let them install. I called PCR when the installers left my house. First they told me I NEEDED TO CALL GE (!!!) to order a new door (I actually, tried, but I couldn't see how to order anything without paying more out of pocket). After 3 more calls over 2 days, PCR capitulated, and said they'd order the part.
I also called PCR to inquire about an arcane code being displayed in lieu of temperature, and was told "We don't know all the ins and outs of every appliance we sell. You'll need to call GE." GE was of course, unresponsive, but after all, I wasn't their customer, was I? 1 week, multiple calls and emails later, I'd still not received notification that the part had been ordered. I finally spoke with someone who said it might be better to REPLACE the entire refrigerator. I said fine. 1 week, multiple calls and emails later, NOTHING. I finally spoke with a supervisor, who approved delivery of a new fridge. PCR then invoiced me an additional $103, which I was verbally told to ignore. I was concerned about COD issues with the installers (PCR's texts say a credit card is required at time of delivery), so I requested an email to that effect. 4 days, multiple calls and emails later, NOTHING.
(In the meanwhile, out of nowhere, GE's delivery service called to say my door was on the truck, but it turned out to be a door for a different model refrigerator! Really?) The day before delivery, I finally got through to another supervisor who said the person I'd spoken with earlier in the week was "having email issues" - everybody else's email was apparently fine. Were they also having phone issues? Broken fingers? This supervisor did send an email saying I wasn't responsible for the $103. I was concerned the new fridge might have new issues. So with lots of cajoling over the span of 30 (?) minutes, I got PCR to approve installation of just the door, vs. going through the whole process of removing and installing a new fridge from scratch. I'd requested this from day-1, but was told it wasn't possible.
Over 2 weeks after first reporting the issue, PCR delivered a new fridge. They ultimately also processed a $100 credit to my account for all the anguish. I appreciate the gesture, but this doesn't even move the needle - it probably comes to $5/hour. Costco had the fridge for less money with a better warranty, but I'd bought from PCR, mistakenly thinking they might be better if I had problems. Lowe's, and Home Depot also had the same model - who knows if things would've been better with them. It's unfortunate that PCR turned this into an incredibly negative experience. IMO, either they're incredibly disorganized with poor systems and no internal controls, or they're intentionally trying to get over on their customers. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from PCR again. Sad!

Having purchased a refrigerator at PC Richards with a five year Richards extended warranty, I had occasion to use it. My refrigerator experienced a malfunction in less than a year and the warranty provided a technician to fix the problem. When a second problem occurred I spoke with Phil a manager at your store in South Hampton. He arranged for a technician to repair the refrigerator. A part was ordered. When, after two months the part was still not available, Phil promptly went into action. A full credit was applied to my account and a new refrigerator was ordered and promptly delivered by two well qualified and courteous staff.
Phil was responsible for a quick resolve for the problem and was very professional. He was a real pleasure to work with. I recommend PC Richard for fulfilling their responsibility and I am grateful for all that Phil did to make this a pleasant experience. I am very satisfied with my new refrigerator. P.S. I got a call from the technicians office last week stating that the replacement part was still unavailable.

It’s situations like this that harm hard working sales people. Management will then complain because sales people don’t meet their required sales numbers. What a mess! Re: PC Richard: Text message to my PC Richard Sales Manager Who Has Worked Hard To Accommodate Me Over The Years. Neither I nor the employee at the condo office have received the certificate of insurance needed from the delivery department. Local appliance vendors have certificates of insurance on file at the condominium office.
It's apparent that the warehouse will not send the certificate on time. There's been clear and ongoing disfunction with the delivery department over the years. It creates a lot of time waste and frustration for me. Your district sales managers mouth and attitude are certainly not what any customer will accept. It's obvious that he's comfortable speaking with disrespect to customers. His mouth and the delivery departments disfunction appear to reflect the culture of PC Richard because it's permitted. In addition, it now has been made very difficult to speak with your executive office. I know that you try very hard to help me whenever possible, but you can't dictate and control the perception of your employer's culture. Please cancel my order and refund my deposit.

I put an order for three laptops on 8/14/2020 Order #**. PC Richard & Son canceled my order without noticing me. I found it out after a month when I was trying to check on the status. They claim that they don't have Billing info in their system, but it is showing in my order detail web page. What's more crazy is that it's been almost 3 month, PC Richard still haven't returned my $500 gift card which I used in this purchase. I've been calling for almost 10 times to them. They always say they will call me back or they will send me an email. But it turns out that they just ignore you. Their online chatting system is another joke. Whenever you try to talk with them with their only system, they just give you a phone number, then back to step one... My very first experience with P.C. Richard and Son is this bad, I just don't understand how they feel about their slogan "111 years of honesty, integrity, reliability". This is ironic. Don't ever do business with P.C. Richard!

UPDATED 12/5/2020: This is an update on my original review from Oct 30, 2020 of PC Richards. A PC Richards service man came to my house to find out why I couldn’t get ice in the freezer. He informed me there was no icemaker installed in the freezer; it was an option installed at the factory. It would have nice if the salesman informed me of this when I made my purchased. Again, lack of interest for the customer. Just make the sale. As for the missing shelf, the serviceman said he would order it, but it’s been more than 3 weeks and I have received no parts and no feedback from PC Richards, so I decided to make a shelf out of wood. A sad comment for an $2,500 appliance.
So, buyer beware and a lesson learned. Do your homework, prepare your questions and have all your facts, and have plenty of patience before you purchase anything from this store.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Over the years PC Richards was my go to store and always had a good experience. The last two times I purchased I had nothing by trouble. My last purchase in Aug 2020 was a Samsung refrigerator. It was delivered and missing 2 parts. One is critical for making ice in the freezer. I have called the sales department many times. They take all the required information, but I never hear back from them. Since Aug 20 2020 I still don't have the parts to make ice in the freezer and from past phone calls will probably never get them. Lately there is a lack of concern and communication for the customer. I will not purchase from this store again!!!

10/27/2020 we researched smart TVs. My husband and I returned to P.C. Richards to buy our LG OLED A1 thin Q 55CX series Smart TV. James **, our salesperson was very knowledgeable, and respectful. We purchased a washer and dryer on 8/8/20 in Danbury, CT store. We paid to convert the dryer from electric to gas (propane). We have had two deliveries because the installer does not speak English and does not have the skill set to convert. After weeks of calling Adam the store mgr and getting nowhere, we ask to speak with the DM, still not call from him or her. We finally get someone that understands and sets up a service call for last Friday. The person shows up, agrees that it was not converted, but he is not here for that. He will have to put another service call in... Nothing. Call store and 800 #, again nothing. Finally, once again get someone to set up a call for today 10/27/20. We receive a text on Monday stating they will be here between 2PM-6PM, I call at 4:17PM and there is not service call.

I ordered a Samsung 30" Free-Standing Gas Range using the chat application. Everything was explained, and the process was made easy. The delivery, removal of the old stove, and installation went flawlessly. I had considered ordering the stove from a big box store, but coordinating delivery and installation was much more challenging. Moreover, the big box stores can't equal the PC Richards Customer Service. I have been a PC Richards customer for many years and highly recommend their company.

I Purchased a new LG UHD Series 75" HD Flat Screen TV. Retail @ $4000. PC Richard subcontracts their delivery/installs with shady companies who broke the screen upon delivery "after" taking a picture of the healthy screen, then moving the set. While they packed up to leave we plugged the TV in, and noticed a rainbow mark on the screen realizing that it was broken or defective. We instantly called up our salesman Mike, and he then relayed the call to the District Manager John **, who was absolutely indignant to us right off the bat. After giving us the runaround, he called back stating it's "our problem" and that "we broke the screen".
We were shocked at how rude this guy was, it was clear he was going to stick us for a broken $4000 TV. We never even touched the TV other than to plug it in where it sat. Clearly, the TV was damaged by the installers, who admitted they moved the TV after taking a picture of a working screen, yet John blamed it on us the customer. Bc I had already "signed" for the unit before we noticed the damage. This was a typical "bait and switch" by the store's contractor, and John played right along with it. We are now left with a broken $4000 TV by this company. What company treats their customers in this manner? We spent over $12000 with them this year alone. Buyer beware...

In May we purchased a Maytag Top Loader and after a few weeks the roster, stater & clutch needed to be replaced. When I contacted the PC Richards store in Milford where we purchased it, the manager Tom ** immediately took care of it and got us a replacement of the same machine. After about 6 weeks the water stopped going into the machine and once again Tom took care of it as soon as we contacted him and got a replacement. This time I went with a Maytag front loader and so far so good!!! I just want to say that Tom has been a pleasure to deal with and really addressed our issues in a timely manner.

Excellent experience with PC Richard. Salesperson Brian ** was exceptional! My order was delivered within three days of the purchase. Delivery people were fantastic as well as they came on the early side of the window and installed and delivered with perfection. I highly recommend PC Richard and salesperson Brian ** was again, superb!

Yesterday we visited PC Richards on Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, with definite aesthetic must-haves for our new refrigerator and stove. While our technical knowledge of these items were basic at best, PC Richards rep Hector ** put us at ease immediately. His warmth and understanding of our particular needs went a long way in helping us understand the nature and extent of our short and long term plans for installing new appliances for our recently purchased condo. An extremely knowledgeable and personable young man, Hector ** is a true asset to PC Richards and its consumers.

Brian at PC Richard was fabulous. So knowledgeable and helpful and candid about everything. And was always available for a phone call without a long wait. Understood exactly what I needed and told what was available asap and called and expedited a delivery. Could not have had better service from Brian.
