P.C. Richard & Son has been in my town for 100 years and it's the place everybody goes. I've purchased a lot from them, pretty much every appliance, and they're good quality. I have no problem with the items I got and overall, I would recommend them.

It's been over 10 years since I've been purchasing from PC Richard. If I had something better from Home Depot, they would price match it and would give me a good price. They worked with me. I usually buy the big appliances from them like the washer, dryer, and AC units. But the service needs a little bit of improvement with the extended warranty.

P.C. Richard & Son's service includes helping you get information about why you would want one product over the other and that was an important factor to me. The rep who assisted us was outstanding and I can remember her even to this day. We sat with her for two and a half hours going through all the various appliances. We bought an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a refrigerator at the same time. She suggested things and accessories to go with the appliances. That was three years ago and we use these items every week. The things she suggested were things we were not aware of or hadn't thought of. For example, we didn't know that we could use our oven as an air fryer.
Right now, I have been dealing with this thing with my icemaker but P.C. Richard has not left me hanging. Their service people are equally good and I'm not upset with them because I know it's a flukey problem on the appliance and they could not have done anything more to this point. It looks like they're standing by the product and going to get the icemaker fixed. You can't ask for more than that. They didn't cause the problem, but they're trying to help.
We will buy again when we need to replace the TVs and, overall, we are not one bit sorry about anything that we bought from P.C. Richard. I also tell people that I have not had the same experiences in Lowe's or Home Depot or even mom-and-pop appliance stores. I'm a happy camper with P.C. Richard.

When I was looking for a refrigerator, I saw the one that I liked at the store and it happened to be P.C. Richard & Son. The service was fine when I made my purchase but the refrigerator broke down after six month, so I had to call P.C. Richard up to get it fixed and then they came. It took me almost a month to fix the refrigerator because all the parts and the technicians were out. In the mean time, food got spoiled so quickly. So to keep waiting for almost a month, it was pretty unacceptable to me. I called around 16 December and it got fixed around January. Things like refrigerator or a microwave should be fixed because people depend so much on it. In the end, they finally fixed my refrigerator. But all in all, I would not recommend P.C Richard. I haven't purchased a lot of appliances but I expected their service to be quicker than almost taking a month.

I had a P.C. Richard card and compared to other stores, it was easier to purchase from them because of the deferred payments. Paying without interest for a bit is really very convenient for me. Purchasing from them is easy. When you go there, they explain everything then you pick which one you want. I've purchased two stoves in the years that have passed and two refrigerators as well. As a matter of fact, most of my appliances are from there. The last stove that I got is an LG and I love it. It's great quality.
The only problem I have with P.C. Richard is that they don't have service on the weekends, which for me is hard. That might change my mind about buying from them again because I work and I need to be able to have someone on the weekends, not just on the weekdays. I had to take off three times to get my washing machine fixed and my stove. Their guy came first to see what was wrong and I took off work for that. Then, he said he was going to come and I took another day off to accommodate him. But he canceled and they had nobody to cover him. Apparently, he had the part with him. So then, I had to take the third day off so that I could be home for him to do the work.
Other than that, for their products, P.C. Richard is really good nd it was easy to communicate with them. For instance, I called them, they gave me the dates, and that was the end of that. So the service was good. Then, when I had my issue when the techs were not coming because they were absent, I called and spoke to a lady named Ellen. She was wonderful and she was able to get me the appointment right away, so that was good, too. Before that, I thought I would never again go to P.C. Richard. When my knobs were broken on my stove, the guy only replaced the two that were worse. The other ones, he left like that. So now, I have a stove that has two brand-new buttons, then the other ones are old and there's a difference in color. He should have just replaced them and that was what I told him. But he said he was only replacing the ones that were broken.

I got an LG oven from P.C. Richard and it was okay. I had an issue with it, so I'm getting a replacement part.

P.C. Richard was new to Manchester and when we went there, we liked the guy that we dealt with. So now, I go there all the time and have made so many purchases. I own a property, so I get all my appliances through them. From refrigerators to stoves, and I also bought our TV there.
I just got a refrigerator for the upstairs at one of our properties. Within a month, the motor blew, but they were really good. They came out, they replaced the motor, and it's running well.
I've told people to go to P.C. Richard. I like their 12 months deferred payment and the guys that work there are super helpful. I like them and I've had no problems.

We've had this broken dishwasher for like a year and it still remains broken. Technicians from P.C. Richard have come out about nine times and the problem's still not fixed. However, the technicians have been awesome. I don't think it's necessarily the technician's fault. I think it's somebody else who packs the wrong item and then they have to recall it in but then it doesn't get ordered.
The technicians are very apologetic. and they're the ones that are facing the brunt of everything. But something is clearly going wrong because we've only had this dishwasher a few years. Honestly, it’s not been great.

Since January 2, 2026 I have been without a working refrigerator. As a two children under the age of five who had to get rid of months and months supplies of breastmilk and not have basic needs of food for my children. Every time I called and asked to speak to a manager I got the runaround that they’re busy and will put a message in for them to call you and for weeks have not received one phone call from any manager or anybody from corporate.
Here we are January 19 and still nothing no, no accommodations, the same old BS from the person who the phone call when you ask if there’s somebody coming to check your refrigerator out. As a valued PC Richard‘s customer this is really upsetting and disturbing to me which how they are treating my situation. I have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, weeks' worth of breastmilk for my baby and PC Richard does not have the audacity to call me back. Shame on PC Richards.

BUYERS BEWARE: YOU WILL REGRET PURCHASING FROM PC RICHARD & SON. I am a long-time PC Richard & Son customer who has purchased several major appliances from this company over the years, including my washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator. Unfortunately, I deeply regret my most recent purchase and feel compelled to WARN OTHERS.
I refused repair and requested a refund, as no customer should have to accept extreme repairs on a nearly new appliance.
Samsung ultimately acknowledged the defect and issued a full refund, confirming that the refrigerator failure was legitimate. However, despite the manufacturer's resolution, PC Richard & Son flatly refused to issue a refund or take responsibility for the sale. This experience highlights a serious disconnect between the retailer and the manufacturer and demonstrates that PC Richard DOES NOT stand behind its customers even when a product failure is confirmed. This experience has permanently changed my opinion of PC Richard & Son. I will NEVER purchase from them again, and I strongly encourage potential customers to think twice before spending their money here.

I've been a P.C. Richard's customer for over 20+ years. I purchased everything from GE Cafe refrigerators, Cafe microwaves and many Sony TVs. I have been very satisfied with all of my products. But my recent very negative experience has been with their store warranty. I purchased a GE Cafe double refrigerator with a 10 year store warranty. I had a problem with the bottom freezer door constantly coming off the track. Most recently it did not close and I discovered a water leak at the bottom of the freezer. I called PC Richard service number and they booked a GE repair service to come out to my house.
On the specified day and time nobody called or showed up. I called PC service again and they connected me with the actual GE service company. Their reps had no service tickets for me or my appliance. So I called PC service back and the guy said somebody dropped the ball and my service was never scheduled or communicated to GE. So I called up PC service and they connected me with a 3rd party independent repair service company in Brooklyn. I am waiting fro them to call me back for a scheduled appointment. The moral of the story is never get sucked into purchasing an extended warranty from P.C. Richard's. Buy it direct from your manufacturer. The P.C. extended warranty is a ripoff. When I spoke to the GE representative they said they don't do business for warranty work with PC Richard's.

My old refrigerator, which is only four years old, stopped cooling. I had an eight-year warranty with P.C. Richard & Son, so I called them about it and they made an appointment for a serviceman to come out. In the meantime, just in case this doesn't get fixed and it has to be replaced, I went on their site. We have a very tight space here and we're very limited in what we could have. So, I started looking at a refrigerator that might fit our place, so we would be prepared if they couldn't fix the one we have. But we didn't end up having that happen. The tech came today, he finished the job, and the work was good.
P.C. Richard's customer service was also great on the phone. I called them one morning after we found that all the things inside the refrigerator's freezer were getting soft and all the ice melted. They told me that it was about a week later that they would be able to make an appointment. I was hoping it could be sooner, but that was all right. The next morning, I woke up and the top of the refrigerator wasn't working. Everything was getting warm. So, I had to call back and told them about it. I asked if there was any possibility of getting the serviceman out sooner because I had nothing to use. They told me I could go to P.C. Richard’s and they could give me a small tube to use in the meantime. They said I would have to pay for it, but I could bring it back later and get my money back. They also said they'd try ty to get here quicker, then nobody called me. However, I got an email saying they couldn't take me any sooner.
That weekend, the guy came out and after looking at the refrigerator, he said I needed a compressor. I asked if he had one with him and he said he had to order it. He said it would come four days later and that he could put it in in six days. But it's ridiculous that he came to my house knowing that the refrigerator was not cooling but he didn't have the compressor on the truck. He didn't do any diagnostics and just confirmed the refrigerator was warm. He also said that he knows that this is a known issue with the LGs and many others, especially the LGs.
Then, Saturday came and I didn't get any call from anybody. But that evening, I got a text from the service company telling me that the part was in. I was told to call the office to make an appointment. I called them that Saturday and I couldn't get it until the following Wednesday, which is today. All in all, it took two and a half weeks before the issue was resolved. Despite this, I would recommend P.C. Richard because they always pick up the phone when you call the service area and they're all very nice. They're also very punctual and they do the best they can.
But you have to wait for about a week to get your appointment, which is a little inconvenient. Also, when you request for an earlier schedule, they always say, to make you happy and get you off the phone, that they're going to try to let that happen. And each time it didn't happen. That’s the way they operate. I even told them this last time that I knew they had to say it, but I knew it was not going to happen. So, that experience could have been enhanced. Also, when I told their rep that the guy they sent out for my refrigerator should have ordered the compressor before coming here since it was a known issue, the person's response was that if it was him, he would've made sure that he had that beforehand. But that should be a standard so that everybody does the same thing. Other than that, I am happy with P.C. Richard. If I didn't have this policy, this compressor probably would have cost me more or I'd probably have to buy a new fridge.

Horrible customer service + ZERO customer care = loss of 30+ year customer. In 2020 I bought a 55-inch tv at PCR Rockville Center, NY. It worked fine until recently. In early December, right before my 5-year, $400 extended warranty expired, I tried to get a service appointment because there is a line at the top of the screen. I called 5+ times, and each time I was promised a call back with an appointment date, none of which EVER came. Then I got an appointment - 3 weeks later for Jan 6, but it was for the wrong TV. I was then told I had no service contract by this technician, after which, he just walked away not giving a darn. I called back again 5+ times and was accused of the TV having "impact damage" causing the line at the top, which was absurd, and totally false. This is a 55" TV mounted on a floor TV stand in my living room. There is no evidence of any damage to the TV.
After this botched appointment, I called back again and was promised a 1-time courtesy service call by management and this woman named Robin would call me back. Of course, the callback never came. I then called PC Richard Corporate and was basically told to piss off by the kid who answered the phone. The crap he told me was beyond ridiculous, bottom line is they simply do not want to be bothered and could not care less about my situation. I called the service center again, asking for Robin, and the nasty woman on the phone first told me she was available and to hold on; then she came back 5-10 minutes later and told me Robin would call me back. Of course, yet again, the callback never came.
I waited all week until now to post this review, as nobody from PCR has ever called me back - not even to explain why I cannot get service. Their obvious practice is to ignore you and hope you will go away. I am now out of warranty and must buy a new TV. Guess where I AM NOT buying my new TV? PC Richard just lost a 30+ year customer as I USED TO buy EVERYTHING at PCR. After the way I was treated, I will never walk into another PC Richard ever again.

We bought about over $6,000 worth of appliances plus a TV from P.C. Richard & Sons. At the store in Danbury, Connecticut, they're excellent. Everything was great. The only problem I had was with the rebate that was promised. But it was with LG that was the issue and not so much on P.C. Richard. I recommend them.

P.C. Richard is our neighborhood appliance store. I've purchased from them a washing machine, two stoves or ranges and air conditioners. They're all good and they should last and do the job on the first request that you put in for it.
I've always gotten good service, good quality and prices from them.They're professional and available. There is no need to go further than my neighborhood store. We also have a Best Buy, but I don't think they compare.

P.C. Richard is a great store and their service technicians have been okay. My ice maker was on the fritz and I've complained about it so many times. I was offered a free fridge through P.C. Richard. However, when they were bringing it in, it got damaged.
When the technician was climbing up the stairs, he tripped back and damaged the freezer door. They offered to take my other one back off the truck, but I said I'll keep the new one in. They’re gonna replace the door that was damaged but when the door came, it was damaged again.
One technician came and he wasn't that knowledgeable about putting the door in. But I appreciate him being knowledgeable and telling me he couldn't do it rather than doing it and not correctly. I respected him for that and they sent another technician.

Our previous washer and dryer was 11 years old and they were dying. We purchased a new washer and dryer from P.C. Richard and Son as they always have the best price on the same washer and dryer. The reps were good and I was happy with the experience.

I had an eight-year warranty on a refrigerator that I paid considerable amount of money for with P.C. Richard & Son. The warranty clearly said that if they couldn't repair it, they would replace it. However, I've been without a refrigerator over the holidays. I pleaded with them to put me on an expedited list. My wife takes medication which needs to be refrigerated. We were keeping it packed in the snow and coolers.
They first dispatched a third-party repairman. He came in, simply looked at the refrigerator and said it needed a compressor fan. He said he was evaluating the machine and it was beyond what he could do. He also said he had to send in a report to P.C. Richard's telling them he had observed and they'd take it from there. They'd make a decision whether to replace it or not.
I called P.C. Richard's back and they said they were gonna have to dispatch another repairman. They didn't get around to sending this repairman until New Year's Eve. The guy showed up late and had an attitude. He spent two hours here while he left his truck idling. He put in a compressor and said, ""This is gonna take about 24 hours to work, so don't go bother going food shopping yet."" But the compressor never worked.
I was pleading with P.C. Richard's the day after New Year's Day to do something. At one point, there were 114 people ahead of me online to talk to their service department. Every time we get ahold of them, they start from the very beginning. I got all kinds of guff for trying to escalate the call. I went to the P.C. Richard's store where I bought the machine. The salesman was there. He wanted to sell me a new policy for the machine they were replacing. He was the only person that was of help, but he wanted to make a commission on the policy he wanted to sell me. The store manager doesn't even look at you. He just comes over and pushes some buttons on the computer.
They finally delivered the new refrigerator at 3:30 yesterday afternoon. It's the same machine I had. However, this took weeks. I had 18 people over the house for a party on Saturday night and it was a laughing stock. They were using my garage as a walk-in box because it was so cold and they were chilling everything in coolers outside. It was unnecessary.
P.C. Richard & Son is very systematic. They know their inventory. Their call center is even good that instead of waiting, they hold your place in line and they call you back. That was a good thing. But their call center is closed from 1:00 to 2:00 like a pharmacy now for lunch. That's when most people probably wanna make calls. They also have a hard stop at 5:00.
P.C. Richard's offered nothing though I've been a customer of theirs for a number of years. I've bought air conditioners and a couple of refrigerators from them. They're competitive with their pricing. They're not always the cheapest, but they offer services that nobody else has. They usually have a very quick turnaround with delivery. But they've gotten too corporate. If I was a paying customer, not a warranty customer, I would have had a refrigerator within 48 hours. But because it was a warranty, they played all sorts of games. The value of the refrigerator all in was about $1,500 and the policy is 500. I would have been happy not to have the policy. I would have just gone and bought another machine and had it replaced.

I've had good experiences with P.C. Richard. I ordered a stove and a fridge, and also got a microwave. But when it came, something was broken on it. I spoke to them and P.C. Richard is right in the neighborhood here. The rep told me they would come back or I could just walk over because it was just a minor piece that goes under the plate and they replaced it right then and there.
The bottom of my stove's oven got scratched during the holidays and the service technician confirmed it was covered. After they installed the replacement part, I noticed it was chipped. The technician had already left. I contacted their customer service and they were responsive. I was able to put in another service request. They were very helpful. They put me on hold and got in contact with the guy. They assured me that he would call me back. He called me 10 minutes after that and assured me that they were gonna send another piece out.

I have a problem with repairs. I purchased two refrigerators. One refrigerator is okay, but the other one has needed repair about six times within 3.5 years for ice maker issues. I'm very unhappy with this and I don't know what to do. But P.C. Richard is a good company.

I purchased a refrigerator from P.C. Richard & Son in January of 2022 and it already has broken down on me three times, and they came out. The last time, they just came out for service. Now, they're saying it's a two-man job. I've been without a refrigerator since early December. I also do not understand that when they come in to look at the refrigerator, the parts always have to be ordered. There are never parts on hand.
This has been a nightmare. I was hosting Christmas dinner that I had to cancel. I had no refrigerator. I had to cancel New Year's Eve. I had to eat takeout. It's expensive eating takeout because I can't refrigerate the leftovers. They did say I could have a loaner, but I will have to purchase it. Then, when I bring it back, they'll refund me.
Also, they did say I had a credit of $2,500 that I could go look at the refrigerator, but that's not the refrigerator I want. I want the one I have which is a newer model now and I'm looking at about $1,500 more out of my pocket, which I don't have at the moment. This is the first time I've experienced this with P.C. Richard. I had experienced my mom's appliances before and I never had this problem. I would still tell others to look at the reviews before they purchase something from them.

We've been going to P.C. Richard for years and almost every appliance we have is from P.C. Richard. I bought three beds there, two televisions, two refrigerators and the stove. When I call the store and I'm looking for something, they’ve been helpful. They send me links to look at. It’s been easy to work with them.
I had a problem with the microwave. It kept tripping off the circuit breaker. I had an electrician out here because I was more worried about wiring. It's an old house. But they couldn't find a problem. I called P.C. Richard and told them. They came out and they brought a new microwave on the day we agreed to. The next day, it tripped the circuit breaker, again. So I called the electrician again because this is a new one. And they came out and they rewired everything. They were very nice and professional. They even took out my garbage for me.

P.C. Richard is the only place to buy appliances. They are a family-owned company on Long Island and that's the reason why I'm motivated to go to them. Their sales counselor has been wonderful. His name is Mark and he's attentive. He's easy to talk to, and he's understanding of my needs and concerns. I purchase from them about once a year and so far, I've gotten a refrigerator, dishwasher, range, microwave, washer, dryer, and an air conditioner. The quality is superb.

I like their service. They deliver and they take away everything. I've never had any problems with P.C. Richard, even with their repair. My dryer is not working properly and I found all the paperwork. I took out the warranty on it for 10 years, so I got another two years to go with it. When I call them for service, they have a small department. But I found them helpful.
I bought an air conditioner and the guy was okay. I think he was only out to make a sale. But I knew the product I wanted and I just wanted to get in and out and get the air conditioner. Sometimes some of these salesmen need to be a little bit more patient with people and show them the product. Sometimes they rush through to get a sale because they work on commission there. But I would still go back to them.

The sales guy at P.C. Richard & Son was awesome. He explained the product and gave me the ins and outs. The process was quick as well. However, the service center gave me a lot of hassle when I was having an issue with the refrigerator that I was trying to fix. When I was telling one of the guys I needed the refrigerator fixed, he was reluctant to hear me out.
The most difficult part was that I hosted a party on Christmas and I was telling them that I needed the fridge to be fixed by that time, but they weren't able to do that. That was a big headache for me and as well three more times that I took to get the issue resolved until January 6th. Every time the repairman came out, he needed to order a new part. He also ended up messing up the door. During that time, because the top part of the refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly, I lost milk and other things that I put in the top section of the refrigerator. P.C. Richard & Son finally gave me credit so I went to the store and got a new fridge, and I just received the fridge yesterday.

The reps were well-knowledgeable about all the products. They were efficient. Everything's been good. I just had my dishwasher fixed. It was making noise and it turned out to be something simple. P.C. Richard & Son has excellent service. The only bad thing is they no longer sell the 10-year warranty. I was the last one to get the 10-year warranty.

I really feel comfortable going in at P.C. Richard and seeing the people that work there. They're very polite. They do what they have to do. They explain things to you if you need them to explain. We are happy to buy from them. I have purchased a TV and all the appliances in my kitchen, everything from Samsung, including washer and dryer, a stove, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator.
I had trouble mostly with my refrigerator, unfortunately. It was the ice box that they had to replace two times. They replaced it so much that it was up for me to replace the whole refrigerator. But then, that was the disappointing part. Because I bought it in 2017, they didn't have the model that I liked, and they didn't make the size that I have, which fits under a cabinet. I have to get the exact same measurements and I was gonna have to go with another brand. But it was so funny because my refrigerator started working, so I never had to replace it. So I'm happy about that. I also had my stove breakdown on Christmas. They came the following week and told me that there were three parts that are under the warranty that need to be replaced.

Everything we bought from P.C. Richard broke down within five years. First, the refrigerator wasn't making ice. Then the dishwasher was rusted, like the smoke came out. There was rust everywhere. Also, the washer and dryer breaks down every week. Everything that I ever bought from there had to be repaired. The products of P.C. Richard is disgusting.
I bought the black stainless steel set. The whole bottom of the refrigerator was peeled off. So, I have stainless steel on top of black stainless steel. I spent $6,000 on this set. This is really quite upsetting. I spoke with P.C. Richard and they said there was nothing they could do. I don't know what to do. I'm never gonna recommend them. I wanna be compensated. I spent a lot of money and it's two tones. Never buy the black stainless steel ever.
However, their service guy was amazing. He was very helpful. He went over and beyond. We were very appreciative of him. He taught me some new hacks I didn't know.

I'm satisfied with their service in the store but dissatisfied with the repair. I bought a dryer six months ago. It's been out since before Christmas. I called them and they were supposed to come with the parts. They never came with the parts. Now, they're not coming back till Friday. But I made an appointment. It never got scheduled. Then they came again. Their customer service sucks.

I did a claim for a microwave because the handle came off. Then I just put a claim in for the oven. It's not an issue, apparently, but it's something that we thought was weird where the broiler turned on to heat it up and it was burning food. It seems that's just how it works though. We also had a claim for the ice machine on the freezer and P.C. Richard had to replace it.
When I've called their customer service to place these claims, their team has been good. I've placed a claim online before, too, but it didn't work, so I had to call. The technicians have all been nice. On my latest claim, it took less than a week for someone to come out after placing my claim. It was fast. They needed to order a part, and less than a week later, the part came in. They sent me a message to reschedule for them to come and replace it.

P.C. Richard has very reasonable prices. I bought an air conditioner from them before and it’s good quality equipment. I also bought a KitchenAid dishwasher recently and it's also durable. They also have good customer service.

We've been a P.C. Richard customer for years and we've bought so many appliances, but I was very disappointed with how my most recent claim was handled. When our refrigerator broke down, it took three weeks for a repairman to get out to us. So, we were not pleased with that. The serviceman was nice but he was unprepared, and he didn't have the needed part on his truck. We had to wait for the part, and then the holidays came, and we had to wait a little longer. It was almost three weeks without a refrigerator. I was happy that it was wintertime that I was able to put food outside. Overall, P.C. Richard is a good company, but this recent claim was handled very poorly.

P.C.Richard’s customer service has been good. We’ve been customers for five years now. They always send the same guy for repairs. It's good because then he gets to know my products in my house and it takes shorter time for me to get my parts back. My stove, my refrigerator and my washing machine are all from P.C. Richard. Anything's wrong with it, they send my rep out and it's no problem. If my warranty expires, they'll extend the warranty for a year, and that I love.

I purchased a refrigerator at the Mt Laurel store and they ordered the wrong one a different model. They promised me shelves which were never ordered and a brand new filter. I spoke with Khalid ** several times and never was taken care of. I spoke with manager Carl and they never took care of me! I do not recommend this store. I've purchased thousands of dollars in appliances from Union NJ. Don't go there!!

We’ve been customers of P.C. Richard for 15 years now. All of my experiences up until recently were very good. The only negative one was the service call, which was six weeks ago. That one appeared dismissive of what was being relayed. It was the second call for the same refrigerator. It was serviced in 2024. The problem continued afterwards, and that was the cause for the second call, which was in 2025. The problem that we had hasn't gone away. I bought a refrigerator that hasn't done its job. It's two and a half years in, and if this doesn't fix itself, the next refrigerator, I won't buy from P.C. Richard.

We needed a repair of our washing machine. It kept filling up and spinning, then filling up and spinning again, and it never really would go to the next cycle. The customer service at P.C. Richard was very good. We got somebody out here pretty quickly. But the tech didn't repair the machine. He did a two-second test and then said, "No, there's nothing wrong with this machine. It's how you're washing the clothes."
Then he went on this rant about how you had to make sure you had the same amount and type of clothes, and he just went over and over about making sure everything is even. He was teaching me how to do laundry. You could do it a little bit, but not as much as he did. It went on for a while. I'm 56. I've been doing laundry a long time. Then he said, "You have to understand it's not like the old machines. They're different. They're not like the old way things worked. You have to do it this way." Then he asked me, "Do you clean your machine?" His question was a little aggressive and I almost felt uncomfortable.
This tech had been to my house before and I didn't realize it but he remembered. When I first got the machine, we had to get a replacement of the the brand-new machine. So, we got the machine. It didn't work well. It's the same issue. It would spin, fill, and then spin and fill. If the clothes aren't even, it just keeps spinning and filling to adjust the weight. The machine is trying to calculate the weight and if it feels that it's not the right weight, it keeps adding water to make it equal. I don't know exactly why the machine does that. The tech explained that it was like the newer machines, they're a little bit sensitive.
The machine didn't get fixed but it is working. But I am so careful when I do my laundry now. It's almost uncomfortable. I can't wash the clothes that I normally would here. I have a small comforter and I will not wash it here. I'm gonna have to go to the laundromat because I'm afraid that it's gonna set that machine up to that. It doesn't drain. The water just sits there, and then you have a big tub of water with your dirty clothes in it, and it won't go to the next cycle. But because of the holidays, I didn't call P.C. Richard back. I need to really call them back to make sure that the machine is okay.

I just purchased a gas range from PC Richard because I spoke with a few people who had great experience with their customer service. Unfortunately, after having my range delivered and installed, I noticed the fan inside was overly loud and rattled when I used the oven. PC Richard sent a tech out to diagnose. The technician came in and thought he was there to work on my refrigerator so I had to direct him to the range. All he did was turn on the oven to listen to the fan. At first he acknowledged it was overly loud, but then tried to downplay it to clearly avoid repair. He said he can replace the fan, which I'm now waiting for with no guarantee that'll fix the issue. The fact that a brand new appliance needs a fan replaced does not sit well with me as a consumer. My preference is to get the entire unit replaced, which has not been offered. I won't be purchasing from PC Richard again.

Worst customer service ever. Rude staff. And their repair schedule takes forever!!! When dealing with things like refrigerator, they need to make it faster. We shouldn’t have to wait for 2/3 weeks to get refrigerator fixed

I feel comfortable with P.C. Richard. They have good prices. I feel confident in the salesman that I deal with there and they stand behind their products.
Talking with the sales counselor was phenomenal. He makes you feel welcome and doesn't talk down to you or try to push you. I've referred other people to him and they've had the same experience.
I recently had to contact them about an issue with my dishwasher and I will be contacting them again for my washer and dryer. The serviceman was very helpful, informative, and just nice to talk to. He gave me some suggestions for better ways to use the dishwasher and advised me what the problem might be with my washing machine and dryer without looking at it, but encouraged me to follow up to make sure it's taken care of properly.

P.C. Richard was horrible. I called and told them I needed a fan motor. They made an appointment to come, then they never came, never called me, and told me it was bounced back because the contractor they sent it to said that they don't do repairs if it's a cooling issue. I had to call the contractor back to make an appointment. They couldn't give me an appointment for three weeks.
P.C. Richard called another contractor to get it in before Thanksgiving. The guy came to the house, assessed that we did need a fan motor, but said they were not allowed to order the part until they assessed it. So I had Thanksgiving without a refrigerator and freezer. It was not a good experience.

Very bad experience. I called to fix my machine. Is been one year for rubber gasket. They came. They saw. They told me they need two person to fix. I said fine. Now they lost my parts. Is been 2 weeks and nobody informed me. I called. Nobody is calling me back. I had c section. Now it's winter. I have to go out for laundry. No body is calling me back. I'm just back and forth with them.

Myself and my family have been using P.C. Richard for years. They've always had good warranty plans and stand by their products. When they have a good sale going on, they have the interest-free financing. To be able to pay it off over time, it’s very appealing.
Some sales counselor can be pushier than others. I've gone to the store with my father and he has a good rapport with somebody that he's used for years. It helps going with somebody who is more familiar.
I had to use P.C. Richard’s service because there was an issue with my dryer. The technician was actually able to come and get the part within that same week. He was really nice and very professional.
However, when I call and tell them what the error code is, I wish they’d have the parts readily available. Then the technician wouldn't have to come and diagnose, and I wouldn’t have to wait a couple of days for the parts. Because they order them and then send back what they don't use anyway. I also have to take time off and be home, and it's hard.

I bought a TV and a stove from P.C. Richard. Since I was by myself, it wasn't a long, drawn-out procedure. The only issue I had was the delivery procedure was a little rough. I used to be able to set up a VCR very easily, but to work on these newer TVs, it's complicated.
When I set up the TV, the first guy didn't set the volume up right. Then when the second guy came, he said I needed a part that I didn't need. Finally, the third guy came and he actually knew what he was doing. He had everything sorted out in about five minutes. He was a go-getter, and the only one who showed up with a tool bag. So that tells you something right there.
P.C. Richard is 10 blocks from my house and it's just convenient. When I had a problem with the TV, I just walked up there. I talked to the desk and they got the ball rolling. It was a relatively simple procedure.

I've purchased many things from P.C. Richard. I'm a big fan. The salespeople are very nice. They try to be helpful and are very straightforward. I'm getting an honest interaction. The customer service is also responsive. They're very busy, but they always take time and make sure that things get taken care of right away.
The only issue I really had was with the scheduling of repairs. The actual repair is not the problem. That's always very good. I've never had somebody come back and fix something. I don't like it when they have to reschedule because the repair person is sick or the part is broken. They've done that to me twice in a row.

My husband and I have used P.C. Richard for 30 years for different appliances. Recently, I bought a dryer that's not drying. They've come out to me twice. The first time, they came on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and he just looked at it, said it might be the vent, and left. Two weeks later, I called P.C. Richard again because it's still not fixed. They made another date to come. I explained to the second guy what was happening with the dryer and he says he's not going to be able to fix it and leaves. Now, they're coming next week again.
So I'm a little annoyed. They should get me a new machine if they can't fix it. I only bought it in April and started using it in August. I then called a month later complaining about it and P.C. Richard is just not fixing it. They should fix it on the first attempt or come back in a couple of days to fix the appliance, not weeks later.

P.C. Richard always treats us good. Six months ago, we bought a mattress and a dishwasher to replace my 25-year-old one. We remodeled our kitchen, so we bought a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a hood, and a dishwasher. Their salespeople are more knowledgeable and will match prices.
We set up an appointment with the sales counselor, and he was great. He had in-depth knowledge of all the products and knew all the features. He was able to change our mind on some things or confirm what we were thinking on some others. We got a couple of products that made sense to do the warranties. Then he worked with us on pricing.
Our refrigerator was making some noise. So, we contacted customer service and the technicians came out last week. They diagnosed it within minutes, then ordered the part. They haven’t fixed anything yet and are coming back next week to do that. Otherwise, it's been great. If we have to buy more appliances, P.C. Richard would be the first place we'd go.

P.C. Richard is very accommodating. The manager is very informative and he goes above and beyond when I'm making a purchase. But now, I have an ongoing issue with the repair of my Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker freezes up and it leaks water all over the place. I'm afraid it's now rotting my floor and my tiles are loose underneath because there's constant water there. And then, when you open the refrigerator, there's always a puddle in there.
So they send a repair person to replace a part and it never works. The last time the technician was here was the day before Thanksgiving. He called Samsung to see what my options were and Samsung told him to keep replacing the parts until the warranty runs out. I don't even know if the parts that they're replacing needs to be replaced. I have to do this for another two years, which is unacceptable. I just keep getting the runaround and I don't really know what my next step is.

We needed a new mattress, and we were looking for Stearns & Foster. P.C. Richard & Son is our go-to place for many years, and it seemed like the perfect place to start. Overall, my purchase with P.C. Richard was originally good. They were typical hard-selling salesmen trying to sell you the refrigerator for the best deal. But in terms of the customer service after the fact, it could have been better. They say they're going to call and they don't. The customer service was very cordial except the lack of communication about what I could have done to rectify the situation and get it done sooner. I had been without a refrigerator since Sunday before Thanksgiving. I called them on Monday to report the problem, but they weren't able to see me until Friday to fix the refrigerator. It would have been better if they asked me questions on the phone or ordered the part ahead of time.

I had an issue with a Samsung range. I used the electric stove and the hot surface light came on but never went off again. It's a circuit issue. Then before the holiday, I was going to clean the oven but the self-cleaning would not come on because of this hot surface light situation.
The repair guy from P.C. Richard finally came and said there was a problem with the oven door latch too. All in all, it would come to $600, and he couldn't promise it would be fixed permanently. He put in an order for the latch, but we canceled it since my husband and I know that we won’t still be able to clean the oven.
I had the same problem with the hot surface light three years ago and P.C. Richard was supposed to repair it permanently. It was still under warranty then. Now, it happened again but it’s outside of warranty. They told me to take it up with Samsung. I sent a whole bunch of emails and tried to get them on the phone. Somebody was supposed to call me back but they never did. I got disgusted and stopped trying.
I went to P.C. Richard’s and bought a new stove. They wanna charge me $200 for the guy coming here. I feel it's a very unfair situation.
I really feel like it's more of a negative against Samsung appliances, which is what I told them. I bought a washer, a dryer, and the range all at the same time, and they all went kaput. Now, I'll try LG and see what happens.

I had a repair done on a dryer, and the technician had to replace something. P.C. Richard is a good store. They stand behind their product. It's been a while since I've dealt with anyone, but I was fine when I was at their store.
Their website needs a little work though. If I have to go for repair and try to put the information in, nothing comes up. I don't get anywhere with it. I would not give them a very good rating for that.

I bought a mattress from P.C. Richard in 2019 for over $2,000. When it started sagging, I called for the warranty. The guy that came out was very professional. He took pictures and measurements and told me that they would get in touch with by Monday or Tuesday. They then sent an email saying they can't honor the warranty and that I could talk to P.C. Richard about giving me another mattress.

The sales counselor from P.C. Richard was very informative and friendly. The women I spoke with at customer service were very nice when they took my information down. I got a text saying when they were gonna be coming. However, the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, I called and they said I'd hear something by the end of the day, but I didn't hear anything.
I'm still waiting for P.C. Richard to replace my refrigerator because it's only about two years old and it stopped working. The repairman came out and said he couldn't do anything that day. He ordered a part, changed a little thing, and said the refrigerator would be getting cold in 24 hours. It never did. It's unrepairable and I'm waiting to get a new one. They've been dragging their feet to make my situation better. They've come out twice and I'm still without a refrigerator for three weeks straight through the holiday.

20 years ago, when I was redoing my house, I went to P.C. Richard and just bought different appliances. My favorite purchase was the Samsung TV. A gentleman delivered it and we mounted it ourselves. I had repair done on my range once when I had trouble with it. Other than that, everything was good.

We purchased a stove. I am happy with it. I liked the convenience. Some of the people could do with some customer service training at the P.C. Richard & Son location that I dealt with at Bay Plaza. But overall, it was a good experience. Malik and a middle-aged woman were good. They had to get the manager involved because there was something that they couldn't do on the computer. But the manager didn't give them the time of day. That put my husband and I off. The manager was dealing with a customer, which was fine. But he went about his own business when he was done instead of coming over to find out what the issue was. Malik eventually solved it. Everything was fine.

[11/19, 1:35 PM] L.W: I want to tell you purchasing from PC Richards, has proven to be an unpleasant experience. I bought a temperpedic rising, remote control bed, oven, hood and refrigerator from PC Richards. The bed remote control didn't work, the light in the hood didn't work. I called, and came into the store several times. The last visit my son came in. The manager hadn't seen him before. While i was still on the phone with the sale person, and my son was sitting their, the manager came to the sales person. He used foul language to speak about me and how I'm getting on his last never. After reporting him, PC Richards, sent a manager to fix the problem. The manager was the one who got this store up and running in CO Op City in the bronx. He had the manager to apologize and rectify the issues. I accepted the assistance.
Now the refrigerator, stopped working. I called for repairs. Eventually, a repairman came out. Stated that he will order a replacement part for the broken part, and will be back in three days. He unplugged the refrigerator, we asked him to leave it plugged. We lost all the food in the refrigerator, but the freezer food is still frozen and the freezer is still on. He said no it may cause problems and he can't guarantee our safty. If he had returned in 3 days the food in the freezer would have lasted because it was solid frozen, and we didn't open it to keep the cold in. After not hearing from him in a week, I called he said the order wasn't picked up. I had to wait another week for him to reorder and get the part. Of course my food had rotted. The stitch made us know it was gone. The refrigerator was full of mole. My cost of the loss of seafood, meats cheeses and more is about about 2,000.00.
I called and explained to the service department, about the mole, which we washed out twice with bleach. Which continues to return, at this point can't be repaired, it's now garbage and I need it removed. I was told I better not discard it or I will get mo help from PC Richards. The glass has non removable seals around it which contains mole I can't get them off they are permanently fixed on with no way to clean it. The filter was full of mole. We had to through it out. The ice maker and filter holder is not reachable to clean the mole out. I have spoken to several people in the Co OP City store, in the Bronx. The workers couldn't help, they referred me to a manager name Ed. Ed states he doesn't have the authority to replace it, he needs a code to do so from the service department.
I called the manager who helped me before, Nick, the flag store launcher. He two states he must get the service department assistance. I spoke to Kelly, in the service department, she was loud, rude and disrespectful. She refused to let me speak to her manager/ supervisor. Then lied and said the manager was gone for the day. Then went back to her manager, who was supposedly gone, who refused to get on the phone with me. Then Kelly, putting me back and forth on hold, screamed bye and hung up the phone. Everyday, since then Ed and Nick, states they are contacting the service department and waiting for a response. Finally, I reached Priscilla, in the service department.

We both have hypertension and diabetes, I have respiratory issues, I'm disabled and can barely walk due to a back injury on the job as a Peace Officer for the City and State of New York City. My insulin and special diet food needs refrigeration to not rot. My therapy dog and my comfort cats, and rabbits, food must be refrigerated.
It's going on almost a month, we are struggling to care for ourselves. But, Priscillas, supervisor Sharon aka Starlyn, final decision is to accept the repair and deal with the moldy refrigerator. That kind of leadership makes me understand Kellys, disrespectful rude behavior, and helps me know PC Richards, does not know what type of employees he has. They do not care about his and his families name and reputation. They e do not care about his companies ability to stand out as superior to others, nor any loss of finances, due to their treatment of G. Richards customers. I have to give up being a long standing customer after all.

For the last 15 years or so, I have bought all my appliances from P.C. Richards — always from the same salesperson. I have consistently been very happy with the service, price, delivery, installation, and extended warranty maintenance. This week, however, I had an experience that left me deeply disappointed. I needed to replace a dryer that broke. Although the delivery and installation had already been paid for — and are not cheap — the two delivery men demanded $75 in cash to remove two doors so they could bring the dryer into the laundry room. They had taken the very same doors off not long ago to deliver and install a washer of exactly the same size, and the same has happened with other appliances in the past. It was always included in the service.
This time, they simply refused to proceed unless I paid them. I had no choice. They took the cash, gave no receipt, and of course collected no taxes. It felt like being held hostage. To make matters worse, removing and reinstalling the doors took less than two minutes. In practice, I was charged the equivalent of $2,100 per hour for a service that should never have been billed in the first place.
This has never happened before in all my years as a loyal customer. If there were legitimate extra costs for removing doors — which I would dispute — they should be clearly stated at the time of purchase, not imposed at the doorstep as a cash-only ultimatum. In conclusion, I am profoundly disappointed. After 15 years of loyalty, I never expected to feel pressured, disrespected, and essentially extorted by a delivery crew. Potential customers should be aware of this practice and insist that all fees be disclosed upfront. No one should face a situation like this at their own doorstep.

I moved into a new home and was looking for new appliances. I chose P.C. Richard because I've lived locally my whole life. I purchased my LG washing machine six years ago, along with a dryer and barbecue grill, from a sales guy who was friendly and trying to help.
The washer works, but the repair technician was being attentive and saying that a part was gonna break. I have a maintenance agreement, so he said he would order it and come back and replace it. They seem to have fallen apart a little in their repair situation. They used to be very attentive and quick, and now your appointment could be a week or two later. I'm waiting for the guy to call me back because he doesn't have anything available right now. I've been waiting a month for my part to come in, which is the second part. The guy already came to replace the first part that I waited three weeks to come, so now I'm going on almost two months. Other than that, it's been very pleasant. I've bought many appliances and all different kinds of things over the years from them.

I like P.C. Richard. My whole family is loyal. I'm 64 years old. My aunt is 70 years old, and she just bought a bed from P.C. Richard. We are loyal P.C. Richard customers. It’s not like just because I had a bad situation, that I’m not gonna go back. My husband doesn’t want me to go back, but I still would. I just don’t want to deal with madness when I’m spending my money.
So, I bought a washing machine. The first guy who came in, they shouldn’t hire him to work anywhere. He was rude and disrespectful. And when he hooked up the hose the first time, he put hot water. So, when he came back the second time, he had an attitude. He walked out. He said that he’s not changing anything. He was rude from the get-go. He was like, “Just do it.” He had an attitude because he had to change the hose. So, I told him, "Why would I buy a brand new hose to leave the old one on a new washing machine? It doesn’t make sense." So, I told him that he had an attitude, and he was like, “Don’t say anything.” So, I told him to get out of my house. The bottom line is he didn’t want to change the hose on my washing machine.
Now, the last guy that came, he said that the other guy hooked all the water up, and it was boiling hot. He said he did that on purpose because they know not to do that. And the last guy that came, it was like day and night. He was nice.
I told the first guy that it doesn’t cost anybody anything to be nice, and that he just blew his tip. Because I had $50 I was gonna give him. So, I didn’t give him anything. And the thing is, I told him to check my account because I’ve been buying all my appliances. And the last washing machine I had came from P.C. Richard. So, I’m a loyal customer. And for him to come to people’s house and be disrespectful, he should not work for P.C. Richard or any company. So, if you don’t like your job, you change it. And I told P.C. Richard not to send him back the last time, and they didn’t.
So, maybe he had a bad day the first day, but the second time he came back, he told them that he came upstairs and I wouldn’t let him in. He lied. And I called him right back. ‘Cause he said the door is locked. I told him that I’m gonna come downstairs. When I got downstairs, he got in his van, and he pulled off.
So, I had called P.C. Richard, and I reported him. I told them that I wouldn’t care if the washing machine broke down, just do not send that man back to my house. Because nobody’s gonna come into my house and think you’re gonna talk to me any kind of way and be disrespectful. I wasn’t disrespectful to him until he took me out of my character. So, I think P.C. Richard is gonna lose a lot of business with him. And I don’t usually have a problem with P.C. Richard. That was just the only problem I ever had.
When I talked to the customer service, they told me that they’ll try to resolve the issue. But the issue is the man didn't wanna work, and he’s rude and disrespectful. Not because it’s my house, buy any house you go in, you show common courtesy. It’s due to a dog. And he gave me lip back because I was a female, but he got the right female on the wrong day.
And they made me wait almost two weeks to fix the issue. And I got absolutely nothing out of it. And considering I paid for my things straight on my debit card, they should have sent me compensation, but they chose not to. P.C. Richard is gonna lose a lot of money. My husband told me not to go back to them. But I’m a loyal customer. I have excellent credit. But my thing is, when you give me a side of you that I don’t like, I just take my business elsewhere.

Recently, we got two air conditioners from P.C. Richard. One had to go back because it was spewing out some kind of glob. They brought the replacement one, but that sounded like a lawn mower. They had to go and bring another air conditioner.
The other thing that was replaced recently was my refrigerator, and that’s been my fourth refrigerator in the last seven years. I had to replace the refrigerator, and I know that I only have X number of inches to deal with underneath the cabinet. P.C. Richard was very willing to help to make sure it’s gonna fit.
Out of all the years we’ve been doing business with P.C. Richard, our experience with the sales counselors have been 95% positive. You say, “Is there anything better you can do on the price?” And they’d be like, “Well, let’s see.” I know that they work on commission, so I’ll normally put a warranty on it.
It’s just some of the customer service had attitudes. I went in to get a television set bracket for my son, and the one we were looking at was $150. Our salesperson wasn’t there at the time so I spoke to a different person.
All I did was ask, “Anything better you can do for the price?” And he said, “I have to put a kid through school.” He pretty much threw it back in my face. We were mortified. So, I had gone to his manager, and the manager took $80 off.
I had a stove that wasn’t heating correctly, and it was only one and a half years old. They changed the heating mechanisms twice, and it still wasn’t repaired. I called the 800 number and the representative said, “Well, the technician didn’t deem it non-repairable.”
I went to Twitter and they told me to go pick a new one. They were more receptive to keeping their clientele satisfied, especially when a product has been called for service two times in under two years.
I was impressed with their willingness to help, and most of them go above and beyond. P.C. Richard’s 800 number leaves a little bit to be desired. But if you go on to Twitter, I’ve learned that they are more receptive into helping you.
The only thing is the store that we go to that’s closest to our house doesn’t really have a lot of appliances on the floor. They try to help with what’s online, but it would be so much easier if I could actually see the items. I know space is probably limited. They have lost a lot of space to selling bedding so they had to downsize the actual appliances.

And then, just recently, they had repaired my refrigerator almost seven times. But I did have the extended warranty, and they were great, and they replaced it for me. P.C. Richard has a good reputation, and I trust them and their appliances. We've purchased things from them before. A couple of months ago, there was a problem with our stove, and a technician came and had to order parts. He ordered an extra part just to be safe because he wasn't sure what was causing the issue, which was a good thing because that part was the issue. When the parts came in, they came back and fixed everything, and it's been fine ever since.

P.C. Richard is in my neighborhood and I’ve always gone there. It’s a good store and they have quality appliances. They’ve always been very helpful as well. Usually, someone sees you arrive and then they approach and ask if you need help. If you don’t, they still will approach you at some point or you will flag down a team member because you changed your mind. You get the warranty and they’ll come back out and fix your product.
I purchased a stove which needed repairs. I called the number on my receipt and they scheduled an appointment right away for a maintenance person to come out to take a look. I had to wait a couple of days until the rep came, and then I had to wait for the part. When they got it, they scheduled my appointment, came back and fixed it on the same day.

I bought $20k of appliances from this branch. Their install team visited my house three times to try to correctly install them, but they didn't send the correct team and they did extensive damage to my house. They are refusing to accept responsibility, stating that they did not install the appliances at all, despite visiting my house three times. It's an absurd and disappointing scenario. Run, don't walk, from this place.

I didn't accept it. Bought another one. They repeated the same thing. Sent damaged and dented one. I have the pictures and receipt. They cheat. Don't trust them.

I bought my dishwasher, oven, double oven, stove, washing machine and dryer from P.C. Richard. They are one of the few outlets that specialize in high-end appliances. They’re very friendly and they make their way to us. They have good customer service.
I had them repair my refrigerator and I had two Samsung dishwashers that I returned and then got a GE Cafe. I had a warranty. The way it works is you have to open up a ticket, they put you into their customer service queue, and the customer service queue then reach out to you to find a convenient date.
The first visit is a discovery. If they can fix it, they will. The diagnosis will determine whether they need a part. They never replace immediately. They have to go through the process of trying to fix it and if they can't, they will replace it.
I have used their website and it still has an early 2000s feel to it. It needs to be updated.

There's a P.C. Richard located in Jersey City and we had purchased a few appliances there as far back as three years ago to recently. Our last purchase there was a stove and a microwave. The customer experience was very good. We had a gentleman who assisted us and he was very helpful. P.C. Richard also did the delivery and installation. They are definitely very reliable and easy to deal with.

I trust P.C. Richard. They've been around for a long time. I thought what I purchased was reasonable. We had done business with them before, but it’s been a long time. As far as their technical support goes, I’m not in Shelton anymore. I just moved to Vegas.
The gentleman who helped me set it up was fabulous. I wish I could have taken him home. He could do my whole house. And their service representatives were amazing when they're hooking up anything electronic. They're the best.
I would tell others to absolutely go to the Trumbull store.

We liked the service we received from P.C. Richard and Son, and their people have been very helpful. We got standard brands of washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave from them. I also got their insurance policy, and every time we need help, they’re right there to provide it. I buy through P.C. Richard because they stand by their products, and I won’t buy somewhere else even if the price is a few dollars cheaper.

P.C. Richard & Son is a local store in the community. They had what I needed at a good price. I had gotten a set with the stove, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, and then I had gotten an additional refrigerator. My family, they have rental properties, so they pretty much buy everything from P.C. Richard when it comes to appliances. Brands are really what carry the quality, not necessarily P.C. Richard.
The salespeople in the store were fine. We usually use the same person because it’s our local store. In terms of my entire family, we have an existing relationship with the salesperson. He’s great. He understands us, he knows what we’re looking for, and he helps us to find the right fit, not necessarily trying to upsell us.
In terms of purchase, it's good. But in terms of service, I do have issues. When my first refrigerator was delivered, it was dinged up. I had waited months to get it. When I finally got it, the refrigerator had a couple of dents. I sucked it up and I kept it just because we were living without a refrigerator, but P.C. Richard didn’t offer to do anything about that.
When I started having issues, they really couldn’t help, so I had to use an external vendor. I ended up buying a new Whirlpool refrigerator from them. The purchase was fine, but the delivery guys were not very professional. Even though I paid to have my old refrigerator taken out, they gave me a hard time and said they couldn’t do it. I had to wait another two weeks for another set of guys. After they took it out, they demanded a tip.
A couple of months after I received it, I had a lot of issues with it not working. It took me several weeks of calling just about every day to get it fixed. They sent out about four or five different techs to even diagnose the problem. Every tech was diagnosing it wrong. I got the runaround and went without again for several weeks. In terms of the store and purchase, my experience is fine and seamless, but when it comes to the service, the delivery, and the maintenance, that’s where I have issues.

When Sears closed, that’s when I started using P.C. Richards, which has been at least over a decade. I bought all my appliances from Sears for years, and then Sears closed up. And I was looking for someone else, and P.C. Richard fit the bill nicely.
Their customer service was excellent. And I don’t only buy for myself, but also for my family. I’m also in charge of property management at my church, and I’ve bought things for our church from them, too. And they’re always spectacular and helpful. The technicians who were sent to our home were also excellent and clean. If there’s a little issue, they work right around it.

I have been a long standing customer of PC Richard & Son since the early 1990's. Recently my husband and I moved into a senior complex and automatically went to PC Richards to purchase 6 appliances for our new home. We purchased a diswasher, stove, washer dryer combo. Our other subsequent visits we purchased a refrigerator, over the stove hood/vent. All purchases were within a year with extended warrenties purchased.
When in the store the first salesperson who assisted with the purchase of the dishwasher, stove, and washer dryer combo was not transparent or helpful post purchase as exampled by explaining to me "I do not want to correct you but you did not purchase a black dishwasher." I settled with the stainless steel order placed and moved forward. I asked if the wash being a front loader has had issues with mold and he said no this is our best seller. Delivery of the dishwasher with the other appliances resulted in the delivery staff taking the dishwasher back as they stated there was something wrong. The diswasher was delivered at another date noting the door was not staying open, and progressively worsened.
Once the door was not staying opened when opened a little bit falling open, I called for service. Customer Service staff has been professional and supportive. Service tech comes and said "you're not going to like the but there is nothing wrong this is how the door works" and further explained this is how his dishwasher works. I called customer service back they sent another tech who fixed the issue in 10 minutes.
July 2025 the LG washer was leaking, and the mold/mildew order in the drum was increasing despite the use of cleaning tablets, leaving the door open when not in use, putting a dehumidifier in the room, and wiping the inner door and rubber gasket after wash is completed, using the required amount of HE soap. I requested the tech that fixed the dishwasher and not the one that felt the issue was normal. Customer service paid attention and sent the tech of request. Part was ordered and a second visit was scheduled with the assurance that the requested tech would be our service person.
In a gated community. the original tech that was requested not to come to our home showed up at my door (knowingly by his own admission) that it was requested he not come asked why we did not want him as a tech. I placed a call to the customer serv a new appointment was set and the requested tech came. No one from PC Richard called to discuss the inappropriate visit from the tech that was not to be assigned the service ticket.
To date September 26 2025 the washer leaked again after the fix, the dryer has been not working correctly, the mildew mold smell is at its worst, and soap does not rinse out requiring a second rinse cycle. I have placed a dehumidifier in the room, had the vent system cleaned for a second time within one year as it was suggested by the tech, as the tech felt the vent system wasn't as clean as it could be (cost of approximately $350.00 to us), the floor is now smelling of mildew and mold, and I have had to use a laundromat which is costly financially and physically demanding.
A third tech was assigned the follow up service for the second leak who did place a call to LG discussing the issue of the dryer and some of the situation with the washer. It was recommended that the dryer cycle may not be working correctly as the testing the tech did resulted in good results for him. LG and the tech deemed the dryer and washer should be serviced again. The mold smell in the drum and soap no words were offered and the floor concerns I was directed to call customer service. The tech was professional in all his responses.
I have request 3 separate times via calls to customer service to speak with a supervisor with no return call to date. Reaching out to consumer affairs was not the path I wanted to take, as I know if a conversation took place with a supervisor this may be a better situation. At this point the washer dryer combo needs to be returned and a credit issued where I will purchase a new washer dryer, and then can begin to resolve the floor and poor air quality due to mold and mildew which is also taxing on my compromised respiratory system

I pitched a stove and saw her a dryer, a fridge same month, different days, now my stove have problem after 3 years. They are willing to exchange now; the address they delivered them to before is not that in the system for me. I am awaiting 1 week now for a stove because of management negligence. They are very slack and unprofessional.

I purchased a whirlpool washing machine from PC Richard and Son. The washer quit working after 2 WEEKS.... AGAIN 2 WEEKS... Now I'm at the laundry mat until the lawyer or the BBB contacts them. They were rude and unapologetic... I'm 100% disabled veteran also. This is how they do us. Whirlpool manufacturer came out, still nothing.... Do your homework!!!! We've been without a washer now 3 weeks again after buying a new one from PC Richard and Son...

Horrible customer service. I bought a Nintendo Switch bundle pack that was supposed to include a game download and a 12 month online membership, but there was no information on how to download the game or activate the membership in the box. I contact PCR&S and they told me to contact Nintendo. I contacted Nintendo and they said this was a PCR&S deal and they needed to handle it. When I called PCR&S to tell them, they were incredibly rude and made me play phone tag. It has been days now and I still have no resolution. I feel cheated and not valued as a customer and at this point I just want my money back and to use it elsewhere.

In February, I purchased a TV with PC Richard. About a month ago, TV began malfunctioning: the screen freezes and sometimes it won’t turn on at all. I reported the issue, and a technician inspected the unit, then arranged for it to be picked up. Since then, I’ve received conflicting information and no clear updates. I’ve visited the store, spoken with multiple managers, called customer service, and followed up repeatedly—with no resolution. Promises of callbacks were never honored. The lack of coordination and accountability has been incredibly frustrating. After nearly a month with no progress, I’m formally requesting a full refund for the defective TV. This is a fair request given the poor handling of the situation.

We bought an item from P.C. Richard 20 years ago, and what we bought from them was good. So when we needed again, we just turned to them. They still had all of our information readily available. Also, they're local. They did installation, but no repairs. One of their contractors came up and they did a phenomenal job. They did what they said they were going to do.
From the manager to our sales person, they're all good. Everybody speaks to you. When you go and walk into a store, especially these days, people act like they've been busy for years and they’re all consumed and nobody even says hello to you. But that's not the case with P.C. Richard. People meet you at the door, and say, "Hello." They would ask, "Can I help you?” throughout the store. Even people who just generate conversation might have a comment about something that they hear going on. So, it's quite pleasant.
Before we go to the store, we always go on the website to get an idea of what's the availability. If you don't know what you're looking for, you can call up your sales rep and ask them, "Specifically, looking for this." Then they'll give you the feedback, and the status update in terms of what, when and how. P.C. Richard could do more of that one-to-one marketing, like a long-term customer buyer’s appreciation period. They did something like this that were offering a certain sales day, a certain item.

I have been a customer of PC Richard for over 40 years. I bought a Friedrich Kuhl Series, 13,600BTU, air conditioner 3 years ago for over $1,000.00, along with a 5 year service contract. This season the unit stopped working. PC sent their contractor Kool Kwik to repair it and I was told they had to take it out of the wall and to their shop to repair it - leaving an empty hole in the wall. I asked for a replacement and that was refused. They picked it up at the end of May. It has still not been fixed, 2 months later and I have not been offered a replacement. PC Richard has no answers and claims they cannot reach their own service company. Kool Kwik does not return calls. I will no longer shop at PC Richard and I will never again recommend this company.

PCRichard is a scam. They take your money and never deliver your merchandise. I've scheduled 5 delivery date for a range and microwave. The range was delivered after three times scheduled but the delivery people refused to install it. I am still waiting for the microwave, which is now in its fifth scheduling and no contact with PC Richard. If I could give review less than one star it would be minus five. Avoid them like the plague!

I purchased a TV from PC Richard & Son. The overall process was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. While the initial purchase was smooth, an issue arose when they sold me an insurance plan for the TV. I paid almost $200 for this insurance, under the impression that it would cover things like a small crack in the TV. Unfortunately, when I needed to use it, I found out it wasn’t covered, which was contrary to what I was initially told.
When it came to their customer service, I felt like there wasn't much assistance provided. Overall, it left me with mixed feelings about recommending them strongly.

My freezer intermittently stopped making ice, which prompted me to book a repair service.
The technician who arrived was impressive. He quickly identified the problem and had the necessary part on hand. Remarkably, the repair was done within 15 to 20 minutes, making it a delightful experience. Now, everything is functioning well, and I'm pleased with the outcome.
One area for improvement, though, is their website. While trying to log the issue, I encountered a character limit which prevented me from thoroughly describing the problem. It was fortunate that the technician knew exactly what to do. Addressing this limit would facilitate better communication for future customers.
Overall, despite the minor inconvenience with the online process, my recent experience with P.C. Richard & Son was smooth and satisfying.

I gave P.C. Richard & Son another try for purchasing household appliances after nearly a decade. We kind of lost touch because the company's previous financing partner didn't meet our expectations. However, since they've switched to a new financing company, I thought it was time to return to them and see if things had improved.
Customer service at P.C. Richard & Son has been notably good. They are responsive and assistive throughout the purchase process. There was a particular incident involving a manufacturer defect with a refrigerator's ice maker. While ordering parts and scheduling service appointments took a bit longer than expected, overall, the service didn't disappoint.

My experience has not been not up to par. Initially, I was impressed, but soon realized that their customer service fell short. Specifically, their handling of my appliance order was quite disappointing.
I purchased a washing machine and a dryer that were installed incorrectly, causing significant disruption. To make matters worse, repeated calls for assistance went unanswered, which was frustrating. Last year, I had to deal with technicians visiting nine times, none were able to resolve the issues effectively.
Moreover, my floor suffered damage twice due to improper installations – first from a washing machine arrangement and recently when I received a new refrigerator. Admittedly, they came in to replace a refrigerator last week, but failed to connect the hose correctly, leading to water leakage and further floor damage.
It's been a trying process to seek resolution, including ruined wooden floors amid suggested fixes. With my recent health scare involving an angiogram, along with stress tied to these endless service complications, it feels like an endless cycle of dissatisfaction. Buying new appliances should bring peace, not stress, and it hasn't been the case here. Despite assurances, core problems persist while enduring an evidently flawed, ongoing setup period.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend PC Richard & Son as they did not meet expectations in customer service or technical logistics.

I lived in Philadelphia for 30 years. I'm a good customer. Now that I moved to Jersey, I've been using the Carteret division to save a bit on the tax. I will add P.C. Richard & Son. The salesman did sort of pressure me into getting a sales agreement. When I told him that I had one, he showed me that P.C. Richard & Son's plan and the 5-year plan would be a lot less, and it really was. So, I was able to cancel my PSE&G.
My most recent experience involved an issue with my ice machine. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the service was handled. I called, and by the next day, a man arrived. I was surprised because I thought P.C. Richard & Son couldn't compete service-wise with the electric company, but lo and behold, the nicest man was here. I set up the service in the store. The lady at the checkout desk was very nice. I've been so satisfied that I recommended P.C. Richard & Son to my daughter, who just purchased a dishwasher and washing machine from them.

So far, I'm not too happy with P.C. Richard. The refrigerator is acting up again. This is the second refrigerator. With the last one, all my food was getting frostbite in the freezer, and this is happening again. I call them when I have this issue, and then they'll come and check it, and they'll say it's okay. They check the temperature, and then it's no good. They do come and they come fast, but they never get the issue fixed. For the first refrigerator, three people came and nothing was fixed.

They were not only professional and friendly but also took the time to genuinely understand my needs. The last items I bought were a refrigerator, an air conditioner, and a washer. I also relied on their repair service for an issue on my washer roughly four months ago. The repair process was systematic and efficient. After they identified the problem, they ordered the necessary part, and had me call to set up an appointment once the part arrived. The whole repair from start to finish took about two and a half weeks.

Walking into their store, I was greeted warmly and I appreciated the attentive staff who were eager to assist and demonstrate products. In terms of pricing, they're comparable to other stores. However, I had an issue with a refrigerator door that required repair. The process involved multiple calls and persistence on my part to get the service done. Initially, contacting them required speaking with a manager in-store before being given a helpline number. Upon calling, it felt like an uphill battle, as visits needed follow-ups and promises made weren't immediately fulfilled. Eventually, the repair took a couple of weeks to be addressed adequately. All in all, their customer service at purchase is good, but after-sales service can test your patience.

I've lived on Long Island my entire life, and PC Richard & Son is a familiar name in our community. Most of my experiences with their purchase and service have been fairly standard. For instance, I've owned several Samsung dryers from them, which unfortunately needed replacements within a year or two. Everything is from P.C. Richard & Son – multiple TVs, the stove, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators. I've been dealing with them for many years, and I have no complaints.
I did have one issue with the refrigerator. It doesn’t work -- I have food in there and they don't care if it spoils. They canceled two out of nine service calls, wasting my time. I was fuming after the last call. Finally, they resolved it last night after I talked to a supervisor at customer service. They deemed it irreparable and issued me credit for a new refrigerator.
As far as service, time and time again, they suck. I've shared this with them multiple times. They know exactly how I feel and where I stand. The service reps are nice guys, but they don't follow through. They’re not doing their job if they gotta come back nine times.
As the store itself, I'd give them props up. The store is great in Wayne. The store manager I’ve dealt with, Pablo, is unbelievable, a great guy. I’ve had issues with other stuff, but the store makes up for it, as they have done in the past.

We bought an air conditioner for our apartment at the Bronx Baychester location. We explained to the salesperson that we needed a powerful air conditioner and he recommended a 14,000 BTU one. When we got home to test it, it didn't work. That was yesterday and we decided to return it, but he told us he couldn't return it and treated us extremely badly. He didn't even let us explain why, aside from the fact that it wasn't working, we thought it wasn't powerful enough for what we were looking for. This happened within a day of each other, it's not fair. We feel very bad and believe that it's not fair treatment or even customer service. Horrible.

I've been having some issues with the refrigerator, which I'm not happy about. It started with the noise inside the refrigerator. It seemed like it was the fan. They replaced the fan on top, and it still makes the noise like something's rubbing. They came back out and replaced the fan on the bottom. But when they did that, they damaged the freezer bin. Last weekend, they came out to replace the ice maker. They thought that was the noise. They ordered a new freezer drawer and they still installed it wrong. The freezer is not opening and closing properly.
Tomorrow will be the 5th time they're coming out and supposedly, they're coming out with Whirlpool and P.C. Richard’s service. The technicians’ attitude is good. They're very good. At this point, I don't even blame them. The fridge isn’t even a year old, and it's already been taken apart four times. By changing multiple times, they're damaging something else. At this point, it's just too much. That’s my frustration. I told P.C. Richard to just give me a new refrigerator at this point. I tried to fight for that, and they refused to give me one.
I'm a big P.C. Richard supporter. Throughout the years, in the three locations I lived in, I've always bought from P.C. Richard. Before the fridge, I bought many appliances through P.C. Richard and I never had issues. I've always returned. If an air conditioner didn't work, they switched it out, no problem. But by the time they're done paying these people to come out so many times, they probably could have bought me a new fridge.
This is the only time I'm disappointed in this refrigerator service. Just get it fixed or give me a new one, because every time I take off, I don't get paid. If I did, you don't wanna waste your vacation time on them coming out, right? But I don't have any of that on top of it, so that hurts even more. I have them coming out on Saturday, because that was my big complaint is taking off, not getting paid multiple times now.

We stopped there one Saturday afternoon, and it took about 15 minutes total from the time we walked in to the time we walked out. Somebody was there within minutes to seize upon the fact that we needed to purchase a television. It was quick and easy. We scheduled a delivery and it was delivered on time and with no issues. They took my old TV away too, which I appreciated very much.
My family likes to support family-owned businesses so this is definitely one of the big reasons why we support P.C. Richard & Son. It's very personal. It's not corporate at all. When you get on the phone, you speak with somebody right away. We’ve had to call for service calls a couple of times after that, but they came promptly. They fixed things and it’s been fine ever since. In terms of electronics, I've always gone to them. We've purchased from them before and we will continue to purchase with them. They've always been wonderful. They attend to your needs right away. It's great.

They’re telling me the ice maker works and that I have to empty out a certain amount of water, which I have been doing, but it still doesn’t make ice. They’re also saying the refrigerator works, but I’m still having trouble that the meat is getting spoiled.
When I wanted to renew the warranty, P.C. Richard told me they couldn’t renew it because the refrigerator I bought from them was no longer in stock. But I called the warranty department and they told me that wasn’t true, so I renewed it last week.
I’ve also noticed that when you deal with them, sometimes they don’t want to replace your refrigerator. I always buy my refrigerators there. I had another one that did the same thing. The ice maker wasn’t working and the bottom section wasn’t working. They gave me a hard time for a whole month, and I had to speak to a supervisor in order to get the refrigerator exchanged.

Years ago, we got a dishwasher. They installed it, but it wasn't done right, and we wound up with a flood. They made it right. They didn't try to say it wasn't us or anything like that.
Last summer, we bought a new refrigerator from them. I believe it was a Frigidaire. All of a sudden, it stopped working. And we only had it for a few months. They sent a tech over, and it turned out to be a defective part that they knew they replaced. We caught it quickly enough, so we didn't lose anything. The tech was actually angry because this is not P.C. Richard's issue; this is the company that made the machine. They told the manufacturer it was a defective part and that they should do a recall, but the manufacturer refused. The part they replaced worked, and that was fine. We've been fine. This is the first place we look. Even now, when we wanna buy something, we go there.

I went to P.C. Richard because nothing else would fit in my house. I bought everything there, the dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, and dryer. Scheduling is fine, and this time the delivery was good, but last time they had to come back three times.
It’s inconsistent. They send guys who won’t come in the house if I ask them to take off their shoes because they don’t have booties in the truck. There are always issues with the drivers.

I really do not have enough negative things to say about this company. Their phoneline hold message brags about how amazing their customer service is, which is downright comical. I have so much I could complain about given my recent experience but I will try to distill it to three points: 1) Never could get a straight answer about what the hold up was in getting the certificate of insurance completed on my stove delivery. It was always a new "so-and-so" the manager was waiting on to finalize things and the story would often change. 2) Once the COI was processed, I was told the product was OUT OF STOCK, delaying my delivery further - we were now moving into WEEK 3 POST-PURCHASE. 3) When trying to arrange the delivery, I was told (after having rearranged a ton of business commitments during the two prior weeks) that the fact that I could only offer 4.5 HOURS on the day they chose "was going to be a big problem."

Minor issue was the driver showed up one hour and twenty minutes after he called and told me he would be in 25 minutes. But the bigger issue is once they dropped off the new stove and microwave the delivery people started walking out the door. I stopped then and asked if there were going to assemble my expensive stove. He said you did not pay us to install. I said I am not asking you to install, I am asking you to put the oven handle and all the other items that go with the stove, which are in separate boxes, together. I said installation is different from assembly. He said no they don't assemble stoves. I called the store in Milford, CT, and was told that I did not pay for installation. I told them that they should tell customers that installation and assemble are not done unless a separate fee is paid. That is poor business ethics.

The P. C. Richard’s salesman at the location was very helpful. Their hours and their availability for warranty is better. I have recommended P. C. Richard to my daughter. She went there and just bought appliances from them also. My issue recently has been with my extended warranty which is with them. There was rust on the outside of the refrigerator, and the technician couldn't do anything about it.
When the technician put the refrigerator back in place, he didn't do it properly. It's French door is counter-depth, but the left side comes out farther than the right side. So, it's hitting my cabinet knobs and making a dent in the stainless steel every time I open the door. I wasn’t not happy about it at all. I don't know if I can call and have them come out for that.

I decided to shop at P.C. Richard because of their service. When we went to their location, their salespeople approached us and the interaction was easy. They were knowledgeable and gave advice on which machine to buy and why.
Even after purchase when I needed to file a claim for repair, it was as easy and was done in a timely manner. The website was also very easy to nativate. As far as pricing goes, it’s average. There is no better price anywhere else. Whenever I am asked about my experience, I usually send them to P.C. Richard.

I am sorry that I purchased equipment from P.C. Richard & Son, it’s been the worst. We installed a brand-new kitchen and I purchased a brand-new stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator.
Exactly two years after, my dishwasher broke. P.C. Richard & Son came out and said it’s going to be a 300-and-some-dollar charge to fix it. They said the warranty expires the first day you buy and I lost the manufacturer warranty because I purchased an extended warranty. I agreed to pay the charge and fix it, but then he said I need a brand-new motor. I did my research online, it wasn’t a motor. It was just that the bottom got wet and it gave me an error message. I used a fan to dry it out for three days, and it works perfectly fine now. Nothing is wrong with the motor or anything.
My Samsung stove was so unsafe. The flame would shoot out of the knob. I called them and they sent me new knobs, I put them in. Six months later, it was the same issue again. I called Samsung and they had nasty customer service. I ended up purchasing a new one and I paid more money for another stove.
Then I bought a $1,200 clothing washer. It came in all damaged up. I told the guy I’m not accepting it because it's damaged. I spoke to the manager, who offered me $100 and told me to just keep it. He used profanity and warned that returning it would hurt my credit. I told him I didn’t want the item or the money. After I said I would have a problem if he damaged my credit, he said I was threatening him.
Worst customer service. Even on the phone, they’re just the worst. I would never do business again with P.C. Richard. I’m not happy with them at all.

I bought a bunch of appliances from P. C. Richard for multiple houses. The representative at the location I worked with is good. He does his job and is knowledgeable. Getting something fixed or filing a claim is sometimes okay, and sometimes a struggle. It’s fifty-fifty.

We went to P. C. Richards on a weekend. Most of the sales reps were there and were busy. So, we just wandered around without anybody bothering us. We were able to browse and look for what we wanted without any hassles. When we went to look for a representative, we were able to find one. We told them to pull up our previous purchase history, because we wanted to know the replacement for the dishwasher that we currently have.
Unfortunately, the salesman didn't understand what we were getting at. It may have been partly my inability to communicate clearly, or maybe they didn’t ask enough of the proper questions to fully understand our needs. The dishwasher we ended up getting does not meet the standards of the last dishwasher that we have. Also, I believe I paid more than the product itself is actually worth. But I would still recommend P.C. Richards. They're a tried and true brand. My parents have always used them. In previous apartments and residences I've had, I've purchased our original appliances from them.

I have been a customer of P.C. Richard for about 20 years and have purchased air conditioners, refrigerators, and washer and dryers from them. We’re joined at the hip. While they are quick to offer services, the experience becomes frustrating once something breaks. They'll say, “Maybe that order is on backorder,” or “This is not my department. You have to call service, the warranty phone number.” Then you call, but they have limited service hours, close at 4 o’clock, and aren’t open on weekends. Although you’ll get something immediately from the store, the first time it breaks down, you’re left dealing with a third party, which at times is a lousy situation.
Over the years, I’ve had multiple issues. I bought three air conditioners that broke down quickly. You'll call P.C. Richard's customer service for repairs, but then they might send a third-party company. They have an A team and a B team, and you are not always told which one you’re getting, making it frustrating to sort out responsibility if they didn’t fix it right.
I also purchased a refrigerator that has broken down three times. I only have one more year of the extended warranty, and they’ve already had to come three times to repair it. The last time it broke, I waited weeks for service and took time off work. The technician arrived without the necessary part, even though they had the make and model information and knew the issue was a broken handle. You have to confirm ahead of time that they have the correct part and that you don’t want a consultant. If you're not clear, you're going to have some problems. They’re always trying to move the goalpost when they say that I have a 15-year warranty on the refrigerator. When you call, they say only certain core components are covered for 15 years, and this particular part about to be fixed is only covered for four years. The lines get very blurry, and you leave the conversation feeling hoodwinked
After many years as a customer, I feel they have been failing us lately. When you need service the most, we have to go through some problems. It's not very easy dealing with them.

I purchased a fridge, stove, and a microwave from P.C. Richard & Son. When my fridge broke down, it took two months for them to repair it. That was awful since I didn’t have a fridge for two months. I have a problem with the people scheduling appointments. The issue should be fixed right away if it’s an emergency, like my fridge. Instead, it took a week for them to send someone out. After that, there were parts to be ordered, and it took another two weeks for that. The technicians are fine, and I don't have a problem with them. They're cordial and respectful of the home. P.C. Richard's customer service is good, but their repair and warranty suck.

For years, we always buy from P.C. Richard. All my appliances and all my beds are from them. And when I finally had something going wrong with something, they did not do what they were supposed to do. The refrigerator is working fine now, there's no more smell, but it took almost three months to fix it. In the end, they sent me a guy that fixed it very well. It took him two times, but he took the motor apart from the bottom and fixed it. He's the best you guys have got. All the guys that used to come say that they didn't smell anything, that there was nothing wrong with the fridge, and it was a lie. They need better customer service and technicians.

I had to submit a claim because I couldn’t use the front dispenser of the ice machine, it only made ice in the actual freezer. And after a while, I couldn't even close the ice compartment. They had to keep coming back, but I think it was the refrigerator component, not them, 'cause they worked very hard at solving it. I've never had a negative experience with P.C. Richard's technicians. I love the refrigerator. Samsung should just fix that part.

The experience of shopping at P.C. Richards, where I purchased Bertazzoni, went fairly smoothly. They were helpful and I didn't have a problem. But, I had a lot of problems with the product getting to my house in one piece. Different pieces were always damaged. They fixed it, but it's a pain in the neck. They open it up, take it out of the box and say that they have to take it back. It was frustrating. Other than that, I thought the deal was good.

I like the sales process they have. If I go to Best Buy, I get a kid working with me. At P.C. Richard & Son, I get a mature, more motivated salesperson. Everybody sells the same washing machines and so forth, but they have a very good selection of good, reliable products. We’ve bought all our appliances from P.C. Richard & Son, and they've been awesome every single time. Any time we ever needed anything or even on delivery, they’ve been very good. The rubber around the door had come loose, they came out three days after I called, and in less than a week, the part was in and they were able to fix it. They were nice and very thorough.

Wow this business has tanked over the years. Six-month old KitchenAid dishwasher has had issues and we've called several times for attention. Service techs came four times, however the problem still exists. The incompetent tech, who looks like he's in poor physical condition and barely understands or speaks English, is ordering the same replacement part! P.C. Richard's customer service has been abysmal. They give you a 4-hour window the day before, without an option to choose a convenient time frame in advance, as most companies do. They do not communicate with you. Service techs show up at random times.
Go elsewhere for appliances and ask about their service policies. P.C. Richard's has been nothing but aggravation. The amount of extremely poor reviews along many platforms (Yelp, Google, BBB, etc) show how awful this company has become. The most they have going for them is the strike-out sound at Yankee stadium. Appropriate since you're striking out at good customer service.

I always use P.C. Richard & Son for my appliances. They’re a very good outfit and I hope they're around forever. I recommend them to family and friends. I bought my first washing machine from P.C. Richard 35 years ago. I last bought a refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove. A month later, the refrigerator defrosted all of my frozen food, and they were here very quickly and they repaired it. Everything was fine.

We purchased a refrigerator from P.C Richard & Son, and they replaced it because it didn’t work properly. It started acting up just weeks after we got it. It wouldn’t maintain the right temperature.Everything kept going out in the freezer or freezing in the refrigerator, and that was a Frigidaire. They were very good about the process. They sent someone to check it, and when it couldn’t be fixed, they replaced it quickly.

The representative at P.C. Richard and Son was fantastic. The washer-dryer had just gone on sale and I got that. The manager of the store in Succasunna was very accommodating. He knows his business and was a pleasure to deal with. I've always shopped at PC Richard’s. I bought my entire kitchen there. I bought my refrigerator, microwave, oven, my dishwasher and an outside refrigerator. Especially the store in Roxbury, New Jersey, they're my go-to place for any appliances, as well as televisions and smart TVs. Their warranties and guarantees are good enough for me.
Repairs were perfect. Things today don't last like they used to, so you wanna buy a warranty. I always buy the 10-year warranty on the bigger items. With the refrigerator, the electronic board that lights up with LED lights and shows the temperature of the freezer as well as the refrigerator had gone out. Some of those lights dimmed. They came and repaired that, no charge. The ice maker had gone out, and they repaired it, too. The damper from the freezer to the refrigerator was opening and not closing, which tended to make my vegetables and the vegetable bin freeze. That was repaired as well. The salesperson came in and it was done. Overall, P.C. Richard is fantastic. They're off the scale. They're that good.

P.C. Richard & Son is not bad, just the appliances are no good. We have the Samsung refrigerator and the ice maker, and they’ve been repaired five times, so who knows if they’re even gonna last. Steve was just here two weeks ago to fix my ice maker, and he was excellent. Every time I had a service call, I’d request for him. It’s a good company. This was for my microwave installation. Someone came to diagnose it or something, and then they ended up telling me I needed to get a replacement microwave, so I had to go to the store, use a credit and then pay some extra, which was not fun. Then they had to send a technician to install the new one, and that gentleman was lovely.
The warranty with P.C. Richard wasn't that great as far as that process. It was supposed to be that they could fix it, and they couldn't. Then I had to spend extra money just to get a replacement. I ended up having to do out-of-pocket on top of the value that I had to pay for that extended warranty, and that's kind of terrible.

My stove wasn’t working, so I went to P.C. Richard & Son and bought a new one a couple days before Thanksgiving. When I bought that stove, it wasn't even working properly. While cooking my turkey, potatoes, and vegetables for six hours, it kept making noise. The only time it stopped was when I unplugged it. Their products aren’t that great.
Even a couple months ago, they looked at both my dishwashers and didn’t fix them. They said nothing was wrong, but there clearly was.
The problem was that the dishes weren’t getting clean. The technician said he’d order a part, but I’ve been waiting over two months and they never came back. It ended up being two different technicians, one from GE and the other from P.C. Richard, but still no resolution.

Very bad service regarding the delivery time. I had my stove supposed to be delivered at 12:00 or after that time because I will not be able before that time to receive it. even though I had a notice on their system a week ago with the sales man and was confused the day before with the customer service to be delivered by 12:00 or after, but I was surprised that the technician (Kivin) call me and said he will be there by 11:00am and I told him I can’t be available at this time and said to me ok reschedule another day after I was waiting for a week to get my stove to be delivered, then I called (John) the manager and he said I can’t do anything to you to make on 12:00 or after because they are controlled by the routing for the driver that day and the only thing he could do to give a credit for $200 if I received it before 12:00 or you have to reschedule another day with the sales person and will not be any credit for that,
I really had a bad attitude from the technician conversation and not supposed by the manager when I said I’ll fill a complete and he said I could do whatever I want instead of giving my a time delivery suitable my day and time plan, was very disappointed for that kind of bad service after I canceled all my plan for that day and received that bad result

I’ve done multiple claims with P.C. Richard, and the service hasn’t been so good. The last one was for my refrigerator, which went on for a while, and it’s gonna be replaced, but the whole service experience needs to be improved. The window they give me of when they're gonna come, they don't tell me until 7:00 PM the night before, just when they’re already closed, and they do that on purpose so I wouldn’t be able to call and change it until the next day. I can't leave the whole day open because I work, and I can’t change my schedule in the snap of a finger.

I love P.C. Richard & Son. I've been going there for years. I bought all my stuff there. AJ left but he was wonderful, and the other fellas were great. I bought a huge smart TV, couldn't work it, called them up and the guy talked me through everything over the phone. I always tell my friends to go to P.C. Richard. When my washer broke down, the fella came and fixed it, but he had to come back a couple of weeks later because it wasn't working right. My microwave wasn’t working and the same fella came. I’m wondering if they have other people that fix the same things. But the one that came for the refrigerator was different.

We have purchased many items from me P.C. Richard & Son and are very happy with the service. But, a fridge we purchased 8 months ago stopped working. Trying to get through to have someone come out and fix it, it is a nightmare. This is where P.C. Richard should look into, their tech support and delays. Fridge stopped working Thursday night, called early in the morning Friday, to finally get someone to come Monday. Well, when technician showed up he was in a rush. We knew it was the panel, as this seems to be the issue with many of the LG Thin Q fridges. Guys tells us, it’s the panel and it takes a couple of days to order. When asked when will someone come out to place it, answer: “don’t know”.
Called P.C. Richard store where we purchased the fridge and told them, we can not wait for a week or two to have the fridge fixed. Person was very nice, called back and told us they have the panel. "Ok, so when are they coming," I was told the following Monday. I explained the situation, we can not wait…. So the earliest was Friday, still not good for me, but that is the best they can do. Well, now I have to throw out everything from my freezer, because the technicians you have take forever to fix a brand new fridge that only worked for 8 months. This is frustrating, and expensive having to throw out all my meat. Beef, pork, chicken everything from a butcher. When I asked who is going to pay for that… silence. Never mind all the other stuff from the fridge. This is a very bad experience to have if this is what happens when you need to get things fixed.

It really doesn’t take much effort to find a mountain of one-star PC Richard reviews, and guess what? I’m officially joining the club. The reason is no mystery: their service is absolutely horrendous. I bought an LG washer and dryer from PC Richard a few years ago and paid extra for their terrific 5-year extended warranty. You know, for peace of mind and quick repairs in case of any issues. Well, scratch the "quick" - I’d have settled for any repair at all. Here’s the highlight reel of my magical journey:
2/5/25: I report a TE1 error code on my dryer. A few days later, a tech shows up to—get this—read the same error code I already told them about. They order a part: the “Main Control Board.” 12 days later, the part is installed. Dryer works! (For a few glorious weeks.) Dryer dies again. Same error code. I call again. Another tech visit, another “reading” of the error code, and now a new part is needed: the “Thermistor.” That part? Easily available on Amazon in two days. PC Richard? Not so much. 4/17/25: Thermistor installed. Doesn’t fix it. Shocker. Tech says we now need a third part: the “Wiring Harness.” I call for an update and am told the part will arrive within three days. Last I hear from PC Richard is an email on 4/23/25 saying the part is delayed. Surprise!
So, more than two months after this comedy began, on 4/25/25, I gave up and bought a new LG dryer from BestBuy. It arrived in four days. I installed it myself. Problem solved. I guess PC Richard operates on a different definition of “service.” One where your time means nothing, your inconvenience is irrelevant, and resolution is a vague concept reserved for marketing. I’m done with them.
Oh, and when you post about your miserable experience? Expect their signature canned response: “We’re sorry to hear about this negative experience. Blah blah blah… please send us a direct message with your invoice number or call customer service... we’ll work with you to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.” Ah yes, because restarting the nightmare from square one is just what every frustrated customer is dying to do. Thanks, but no thanks. Never again.

My appliance stopped draining because the motor died. The service technician was great. The first time he came, he had to order a part, and when he returned, it worked fine. Then, three weeks later, something else went wrong, and it was replaced.

I like the warranty with P.C. Richard and Son. It's too easy to use. Before, I bought stuff from Lowe's and they gave me a hard time for them to come fix it. But with P.C. Richard, they come and fix it fast. It's perfect to communicate with customer service, too.

The claim process was easy and pretty good. They repaired my dryer and washer in separate incidents. I had some broken parts and they repaired them. The technicians were good. I’ve had a bunch of things warrantied with P.C. Richard & Son. I call them, they come, and fix stuff usually without incident. So that’s good.

There was an error message on the stove a month ago. The technicians sent by P.C. Richard had to come back the second time because when I spoke to the gentleman on the phone, I gave him the error message, but he ordered the wrong part.
So, when the technician came the first time he knew right away that it was the incorrect part. So, he had to order another part. And then he came back with the correct part and he fixed it. He was a very nice person and very professional.
It was easy to make an appointment, and everything was smooth. We had to change the appointment because we were not feeling well, and they were very accommodating over the phone. I hope they keep doing what

I bought an appliance recently and there was stuffing that looked like white insulation coming out on the bottom door. The service tech who came out was very efficient. He was able to figure out how to take it apart and then put the stuff back in and seal it up. I used the appliance on Easter, and everything works. P.C. Richard & Son is very prompt.

I had someone from P.C. Richard come out to look at my dryer because it wasn’t heating up and drying clothes properly, and the technician was able to resolve the issue. I did a light load in the dryer to test it before doing a full load of pants, jeans, shorts, T-shirts, and sweatshirts, and it works better now.
The only issue I’ve had was the last time I had them out here with my washing machine and refrigerator, everything got messed up. Parts were ordered, but it wasn't the part that was supposed to be in the box for my washing machine. Then, for my refrigerator, they brought a compressor when they were just supposed to bring some other little thing. We had to wait for the correct parts to be ordered. That was like a three-week fiasco, but everything was fixed, and the technicians were great.
All in all, I've had nothing but favorable experiences with any P.C. Richard & Son technicians. I've bought their appliances for the last 30-something years.

The service is good. I purchased the TV a couple of months ago. The board just crapped out, and the TV stopped working. I went to P.C. Richard, and they scheduled an appointment. Two days later, the tech showed up with the part and fixed it in probably 15 minutes. So far, so good. I've been using P.C. Richard & Son since I bought my house 20-something years ago. I like the service and the salesperson. I have Omar, so I go to him and only him. I definitely wanna shout out to Omar in the Plainfield store off Route 22, that's where I buy all my stuff. I would definitely rate them the highest, the store, the company, and the salesperson.

The technician from P.C. Richard & Son came to check the dryer, he said it’s not broken. I had to have somebody cut the flex behind the dryer, so it was nothing to repair. He was great.
It’s not working yet because I’m still waiting for a plumber to come to confirm what the technician told me, which I think might be the case. I think the flex was too much in the back, so it was like bunching up.

We enjoyed the experience after doing P.C. Richard for the first time, so we continued to shop there. There are usually one or two salespeople walking around. When I go in to look at something, I usually am in there for a few minutes and then somebody approaches me. It depends because I go in there for other things. If I’m there to buy a filter for the refrigerator, I don’t need to talk with sales.
They have personable and knowledgeable salespeople. We’ve had a good experience with William. The gentleman’s been there quite a long time at the Manchester store near us. Although he's not the only representative that we've ever worked with, we tend to ask for him when he is around. He's been very helpful. We did work with another person whom I wouldn't rate quite as high.
They have good products. Our dishwasher, stove, washing machine and refrigerator are all from P.C. Richard. I can't say if the prices are super competitive, but I think they're fair. I don't do a lot of comparison shopping, so I can't say it's a much better deal than Lowe's or Home Depot, which are also nearby.
The repair experience was a good one. Months ago, we had to repair a washer that we had purchased there and was under an extended warranty. They came out quite quickly, took care of it, did a nice job and were very friendly.

P.C. Richard had a good reputation and has been there for years so I went there. Their customer service has been okay but I don’t like the company. I’ve been very dissatisfied and they’re not what I expected. I have purchased a refrigerator, a stove and two refrigerators and. All of them were bad experiences.
The fridge kept being defective and then it had a problem. 10 technicians came and couldn’t figure out till they gave me a store credit to go back to P.C. Richard which basically forcing me to buy another refrigerator from them. When I got a new refrigerator, the refrigerator broke down again. They told me they were coming that week but didn’t come for a month, until the refrigerator finally broke down. I had no refrigerator for over a month.
When they came, they said they couldn’t fix it and that they were gonna send somebody else. They extended two more weeks and I still didn’t have a refrigerator. I got really mad and said that I was going to report them because I’ve been paying and I keep getting the runaround. These refrigerators have not been cheap and are over $2,000. They said they were gonna send a senior technician who’s going to find out what’s wrong and get my fridge working right away. The senior technician came, took out pieces of the refrigerator, and without even putting the pieces back, he said that the had to come back with more pieces. I said I was not waiting anymore.
That was almost two months of going back and forth and me without a refrigerator. I have lost all my food that was in it. They sent me a $100 gift card, but I lost hundreds of dollars, not just $100. The, they finally gave me a store credit again to go purchase another refrigerator.
I didn’t wanna buy it from there anymore but I was forced to purchase again from P.C. Richard. So, now I have the refrigerator which is working. I hope it stays like that. But I don’t have much hope because I don’t know if it’s truly new. I think the last two ones were refurbished because it’s not normal that they’re from the same company that happened.
As for my stove, it was fine and was working. I used the self-cleaning oven and the inside of the oven looks like it’s old. It’s a very expensive stove which they gave to me. The technician came and said that I shouldn’t have used the self-cleaning feature. I said that if the stove has a self-cleaning feature, I will use it.
I had a very cheap LG stove that I used the self-cleaning feature all the time, and nothing happened to it. Now, I buy me a KitchenAid which is a commercial stove but I can’t use that feature. They said that it was still working and there was nothing that they can do except replace the bottom part and the rack. Still, everything else looks horrible.
My payments are the only thing on time. I not only pay for the appliances, but I also pay them for the extra warranties, guarantees and sales tax yet P.C. Richard still gives me a hard time.
I was upgrading all my appliances and I was going to do all that business with P.C. Richard. But because of how the experience has been with the refrigerator and the stove, they lost all that business. I’m never buying anything again from P.C. Richard because it’s horrible. I thought I was buying top-of-the-line and everything was good, but all these things happened. I‘m not happy and I feel like I wasted my money. I would never recommend them to anybody.
I went to Best Buy instead because I was replacing all my appliances for my kitchen. I bought my KitchenAid dishwasher, microwave, and the hood that goes on top of the stove and everything was top-of-the-line from Best Buy. I have not had any issues with them.

P.C. Richard is great. Their service is great. But my appliance is not fixed. We've been having issues with the food freezing. It gets too cold and there's been a lot of service calls for this. The technicians come and assess the equipment. Then they say they need to order a part. When the part comes in, they come back and install it. They've been out three times and replaced three different things. Currently, the ticket is still open because they're waiting for a part, a temperature sensor.

I had two issues with my stainless steel refrigerator from P.C. Richard and Son, and they were repaired fast. We had it for six months and there was an issue with the door. A gentleman in IT serviced it over a month ago. The second issue was the ice machine and they serviced that a while ago. I called and they efficiently and promptly made the repair. It's supposed to be a good product, though. It was all written up very well and friends and relatives have the same refrigerator. They had no issues.

I always do my shopping at P.C. Richard & Son for big appliances like washing machines, dryers, and TVs because they are one of the biggest appliance and TV stores in New York State. They're pretty good and reliable.
I recently had repairs on my refrigerator because it seems like I have to keep it at a high temperature, since if I keep it at the recommended 37 degrees, my food starts to freeze up. I called, and they replaced the computer module in the back and also the rubber gasket on my French door refrigerator because the old ones were leaking, and you could see air coming through. The parts had to be ordered, and I waited about three weeks before they called to say the parts were in and came and installed them. However, my wife informed me that the lettuce was freezing, so I may have to call them back again.

I always use P.C. Richard. Their products are very good and so are their prices. I'm dealing with them now because my refrigerator’s ice maker is broken. They fixed it once and it's broken again. Last time, they just ordered one part and it didn't work. The technicians came out again and now, they are ordering a whole new ice-making part. P.C. Richard actually gave me a $50 gift card because my ice maker broke a second time.

The customer service representative I talked to was fine. I had somebody work on my refrigerator not too long ago, and the technician did a good work. But, I was upset that he left all the parts that he had to replace, and told me that I had to get rid of the cardboard and all the parts on my own. And I have had a few things fixed with P.C. Richard & Son and that has never been done. I called the company and they said that that should have never been done. Still, overall, I would recommend their service.

P.C. Richard usually offers my veteran discount. Their financing terms are usually pretty agreeable since I hate to pay interest. That's what brings me there. And they carry all the brands everybody else carries.
My dishwasher has already been repaired by them. I think it was a little extensive, but it took time. Although parts are hard to come by sometimes.
I have one salesperson that I use there, and I won't use anybody else. I think he tries to do what's right for his customer. They compare with everybody else, price is still not great, but others won’t beat the people they have.
I will go in and compare them. I go into the store because I'm not gonna buy anything that I haven’t seen. I can stand there in the store, look at their prices in another store and check them out.

P.C. Richard has been great. I've used them for years and the customer service has been excellent. I usually do most of my stuff online and I purchase it that way. It's just a basic website with nothing crazy. I had a warranty issue and they took care of that no problem. I would recommend P.C. Richard to anyone.
