Purchase a 49" LG TV about 9 months ago. It decided to stop working. Instead of replacing the TV, LG said "We have to repair it." I said OK. Was told I'd receive a call from service within 2-3 days. A week later, I called back to find out where Repair was. They said "We don't have a repair company in your area." I said "Okay then, please replace the TV." They said "We have to repair it first." I said, Okay, then please repair it." REPEAT THE CYCLE. HORRIBLE customer service. I will never buy a LG again. Went out and purchased a SAMSUNG this evening.

I bought a LG 65" 4k smart TV less than 3 years ago and it has already shut down. All it does is blink three times and doesn't come on. Talked to company and all you get is the runaround and make it sound like it's your fault. What a waste of money and poor quality product. This will be my last purchase of an LG product.

Purchased 4 TVs from LG. 65 Inch. Rarely used. A few month old and in warranty. After 10 hours (yes ten hours not days) the TV does not work. The display is damaged inside. No picture. LG service center came, looked for 10 seconds and told me I have to pay 95.7% of the purchasing price to repair the tv... Calling service center: The LG people try to cheat me. LG means for me that I wasted money. Nothing else. As Darren of Gilbert wrote, good they don't make cars.

After less than 9 months had vertical white line on left side of tv and couple purple horizontal lines in middle of screen. LG sent tech out with part to fix but stated it was from physical damage and they refused to fix it. Bull Crap. The TV has been in same place in bedroom and has never been knocked over or dropped. I was hesitant in the first place. I paid 269.00 brand new for this 43 inch TV which I only had the manufacturer warranty. Will never buy any LG product again. As a well traveled sales application engineer, I have stayed at many a hotel during my career. What I have noticed at these hotels, is the particular selection of TVs in the rooms. At a mid range priced room - the TVs mostly used are LGs. Once I enter the room, if an LG is there, I know I have selected the correct hotel. Picture quality, ease of use, and remote functions are unmatched by the industry. I therefore purchase only LG.

Really not very good at all, their website says.. "We aim to resolve all complaints in a positive and expedient manner" and "LG sees every customer complaint as an opportunity to maintain confidence in its products and services." Neither are true, they offered to replace a faulty tv, at 30% of its value only if they took away the faulty one. It still works, but the picture isn't good anymore, but seeing as I can't afford a replacement I wanted to hang onto the old one till I could, but LG insist they will not compensate me at all unless they take the old tv. They were rude, slow to respond and even tried to infer that it was under Australian consumer Law to take back the tv... very very poor service.

LG TVs have wonderful picture and are good value for the money, but of the 2 different models (2018 & 2019 4k 65" Smart TV) that I own neither have the same layout nor can they be configured similarly. The newest T.V is the most troublesome. It cannot have certain options enabled or the TV will not keep its WiFi Signal for longer than a day. The customer will need to remove the saved password and re-type it. This is documented and well hidden on LG's customer support page. LG's Solution...Just plug in an Ethernet cable. Umm....That's not going to work for everyone, (my household included). And finally the last item (now i'm just nitpicking) the LG does not employ the U.S Standard QWERTY Keyboard layout. I really cannot wrap my head around how this keyboard layout ever made it into production.

Hi, I have been using LG TV, AC and washing machine. I thought LG provides good services and products, only to be disappointed as they don't. I bought LG TV 32 LH604T with 2 yr warranty and unfortunately at the end of 2nd yr the TV started showing colour distortion and I raised a service request one day before the warranty expired. The LG technician came and checked the TV and was not able to offer any solution or understand the problem, instead informed huge costs to fix the problem as they received the service request one day after as they were not working in the weekend.

This whole experience made me feel like LG doesn't have any respect for its customers nor proper procedures. What's the point in raising the service request when you people decide when you want to start working on it or even ignore the fact that the problem started within the warranty period. I felt I should share my experience with LG services and recommend not to buy any LG products as their services suck. Think before you buy LG... Life is ripped off if you buy LG is what I feel. Called customer service and was on the phone for over 2 hours, they were walking me through how to try and fix it and I did the same thing over and over but was transferred to 5 different people... Yes FIVE! Finally LG decided to send a technician out to repair the tv. The technician “fixed it” and it broke 20 minutes after he had left. Called LG again and they sent the technician out again after being VERY rude to me. Once again he fixed it and it worked for 2 days and broke again. Keep in mind I had to take off work and wait for this technician to come to my home.

After taking off work twice I called LG to request a replacement and they put in the request. A few weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything. So I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Once again they claimed to file for a replacement. Didn’t hear back for a month!!!! So I called back and they told me a technician NEVER came to my house and I needed to have a technician come to my house 2 times in order to get a replacement. They called the repair shop and told them I was responsible for paying for the visit and parts WHEN THIS TV HAS A YEAR WARRANTY. I ended up selling the tv for parts and I win. I hooked up my earphones and NOTHING, so I contacted LG, the message gave me instruction on how to install, BUT not only did it NOT work, even if it did, you only can hear with the earphones OR the TV sound system.

Also, with the glass going below the TV, it can be a hazard to hit when hanging, or doing wire maintenance, maybe it better if it is on a table. Obviously they work so hard on making the picture great and the TV so thin, they forgot customers have different needs. The LG OLED television gives you the blackness & sharpness that’s very important to your eyes. The OLED saves you money in the long run. Like going to the opticians. I don’t understand why the manufacturers make LCD television that cost problems to the eyes. Is this the way for the economy to be blooming? Everyone knows LCD computer screen hurts your eyes when you on the screen too long.

I have had many LG products in my lifetime. By far this seems to be a better product, in the absence of Wi-Fi hooking up to most things on this TV ex: phones or iPod or for that matter any Apple products. Some of the wireless headphone sets do not set on this TV or even can be found to connect on this TV as well. It’s hard for me to watch TV at night when people are sleeping and I want to be able to use my wireless headphones to keep the sound quiet so people can sleep.

No printed directions come w/ the set and to try and get info on the web about you have to pay for information or tech help to add programs to the Smart TV. You would think after spending the extra $ on an OLED there would be something, nope. I have several Samsung TVs and super easy to in the app section. I now know the picture is not that much better for this big of a headache. I would never spend so much more for so much less.

    Reliability

    Reviewed Feb. 27, 2019

My experience has been pretty unsatisfactory. I switched from Samsung to LG Oled. While I like the picture quality at first the reliability of the set is not good. My set developed vertical banding only after 40 days of purchase and on day 50 developed a green dot on the screen that will not go away. The warranty process for LG was quite time consuming and a hassle. They would not send me a replacement TV, but instead are outsourcing the repair of panel to a 3rd party. It has been 3 weeks since I reported the issue to them and still not resolved. I would stay away from this product. I don't think OLED is ready for consumer use yet. Once the bugs are worked out it would be great! If you don't mind being a beta tester of just feel lucky I think it is a good choice. If that doesn't sound good to you, keep away.

LG Model 60UH6035, purchased May 2017. January 2019, no picture. Out of warranty. I take it to repair shop and they tell me the LCD panel is shorted and not repairable. Common problem with LG. This is NOT a cracked or broken panel issue but an actual short circuit inside the LCD display. LG should be forced to warranty their screens more than 1 year. This is a disgrace. This is a very poorly made product. DO these companies think everyone can throw away a thousand dollars every year or so for a new TV? All these companies want to do is market a new TV every year. We have become a throwaway society! In 1984, I bought my parents a 25" RCA color TV. It is still working perfectly today and still has the same quality picture it had when it was first installed. It was only repaired once for cracked solder joint back in 1990. That TV cost me $650, which in 1984 was a major purchase but still was a better value than today's LG TVs.

I do not recommend anyone buying an LG tv. TVs have always lasted us a long time. We still have 2 tvs we have had many years. When we bought a LG tv for the first time it only lasted 2.5 years and we paid more for this tv than we ever had before. We took it to a tv repair shop. They could not fix it because the part that was bad can only be replaced with a LG part and LG does not have that part available even though they know this part goes bad on this tv. We will never buy an LG tv. We replaced this tv with a Sharp. A brand we have had luck with. That will teach us to change brands. We tell everyone we know not to buy an LG tv and why.

Life is not good for the consumer. Purchased 50 inch 5OUH55 UHDTV 4k July 2017, retail in MO on sale $460. Stayed in box until end of August until it could be mounted on bedroom wall, registered online. Looks good, happy with picture and remote. Only con is the sound, purchased LG soundbar. So far happy with purchased until January 29,2019, 11:PM hit power button on remote. No picture. Red power source light blinking red then stops, same result when pressing power source button directly. Sent email and online chat 1/30/2019 told to unplug and hold power button for 30 seconds then plug into outlet. This did not work, told customer service does not have access to registrations for security reasons.

Since it's been over a year they could give me the number to an authorized repair person. They (LG) don't know the average cost or why something like this could. As explained to Nick my live chat rep. I brought 2 tvs that day. The second tv sound was good right off the bat. In fact I have 3 tvs by that brand. One that nearly is 10 years old. And all LG can do is say unplugged it. Here's a number to call at your expense. Horrible customer service and horrible product. Save the environment by not buying LG since after a year it just a piece of trash. I guess life is good for a company that is aware of a problem and is able to continue so sell faulty equipment, it seems the issue is with the power board.

I bought a LG OLED tv 55” just over one year ago and lo and behold the tv had a green shade to center of screen and two horizontal lines going across bottom of screen. Got in contact with LG and they said nothing could be done as my warranty had run out by a month and I should contact my supplier (Currys) as they were the people who sold me it, but no joy with them either. So now I’m stuck with a £2000 tv that doesn’t work properly. They did say, "You should of got the 5 year warranty" but that makes it a very expensive TV and for that amount of money you expect a TV to last longer than just over one year. Come to find out this is a common problem with this TV. I contacted LG customer service and was told that the screen has to be replaced to correct the problem and that it is not covered under warranty.
