LG intentionally deactivated their Built IN tuner. What good is a TV that can't get any channels? Their "FIX" is for you to go and buy an EXTERNAL tuner. It used to work just fine getting all the digital channels but overnight they sent out a software "FIX" to deactivate it. Their customer support plays stupid and has you go through resetting the TV to factory settings again which is time consuming and DOESN'T SOLVE THE ISSUE. They know this. But they want to waste your time. DO NOT BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO.

The LG OLED TV’s are simply the best picture you can get. These pictures are made up of individual pixels that are their own light source, not backlight like LED TV’s. Blacks are black without the bleed-through that backlight TVs suffer. The best way to describe it is any other TV is like looking at a good picture, OLED TV’s are like looking out a window.

Hi, I have been using LG TV, AC and washing machine. I thought LG provides good services and products, only to be disappointed as they don't. I bought LG TV 32 LH604T with 2 yr warranty and unfortunately at the end of 2nd yr the TV started showing colour distortion and I raised a service request one day before the warranty expired. The LG technician came and checked the TV and was not able to offer any solution or understand the problem, instead informed huge costs to fix the problem as they received the service request one day after as they were not working in the weekend.
This whole experience made me feel like LG doesn't have any respect for its customers nor proper procedures. What's the point in raising the service request when you people decide when you want to start working on it or even ignore the fact that the problem started within the warranty period. I felt I should share my experience with LG services and recommend not to buy any LG products as their services suck. Think before you buy LG... Life is ripped off if you buy LG is what I feel. Very disappointed.

I bought an LG tv in September and it stopped connecting to WiFi 4 weeks after purchasing it. I was unable to return the tv to where I bought it but the tv was under warranty with LG. Called customer service and was on the phone for over 2 hours, they were walking me through how to try and fix it and I did the same thing over and over but was transferred to 5 different people... Yes FIVE! Finally LG decided to send a technician out to repair the tv. The technician “fixed it” and it broke 20 minutes after he had left. Called LG again and they sent the technician out again after being VERY rude to me. Once again he fixed it and it worked for 2 days and broke again. Keep in mind I had to take off work and wait for this technician to come to my home.
After taking off work twice I called LG to request a replacement and they put in the request. A few weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything. So I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Once again they claimed to file for a replacement. Didn’t hear back for a month!!!! So I called back and they told me a technician NEVER came to my house and I needed to have a technician come to my house 2 times in order to get a replacement. They called the repair shop and told them I was responsible for paying for the visit and parts WHEN THIS TV HAS A YEAR WARRANTY. I ended up selling the tv for parts and I win. Never EVER buy an LG product EVER again!

It went dead on its own while I was watching a show on Youtube. I submit the receipt, and waited quietly as the customer service told me I would get a call 3 to 5 days later.
Nothing happened. I called again, and same thing they told me. Wait 3 to 5 days. They said they will be escalate the situation and send the request to the case supervisor/internal team to approved. I called again and again and same response. It's been a month wait and I still got no response from LG and I'm stuck with a dead TV on the wall. One word of advice. Don't ever buy LG OLED TV. Worst TV ever. I will never buy a LG TV again, a few weeks before the warranty was up I started having some issues; a vertical line up and down on the right side of the screen, then a bit after that a few lines across the bottom of the screen. I contact LG tech support, no help, I was told that the TV was out of warranty; even though I told them I started noticing a problem about a month prior of expiration of my TV. Apparently LG does for customer service, they open a case and I was told that someone would contact me, but no one ever did. I decided to keep like it is because I spend over 2k on a TV thinking I would have a good TV for a long time; now I can even connect the Wi-fi, recently I contacted a TV tech and he stated that he cannot fix my problem. Although the picture is great, that is the only thing we like. BIGGEST problem, I have ringing in my ears and need earphones to hear clearly. Prior to purchasing I asked about using my earphones on this model. I was told I had two audio options, and could use them. But after opening, installing on the wall, etc. which took quite a while. I hooked up my earphones and NOTHING, so I contacted LG, the message gave me instruction on how to install, BUT not only did it NOT work, even if it did, you only can hear with the earphones OR the TV sound system.
Also, with the glass going below the TV, it can be a hazard to hit when hanging, or doing wire maintenance, maybe it better if it is on a table. Obviously they work so hard on making the picture great and the TV so thin, they forgot customers have different needs. They have so few options to install anything it leaves everyone but the gamer and tech people. They should have learned from cellphones, smaller is not better, just smaller. I will be returning this TV, because I can't hear it.

They said it was static! Today once again the same problem called them again and they told me my TV needs to be serviced. A tech needs to come out which costs $65-$100 just for him to come out and then to look at what is wrong and fix it which is extra $$$. A tv that is 2 years old who buys extra warranty thinking it will break by itself in 2 years and then you have to pay extra to get it fixed. I’m so annoyed with LG. My set developed vertical banding only after 40 days of purchase and on day 50 developed a green dot on the screen that will not go away. The warranty process for LG was quite time consuming and a hassle. They would not send me a replacement TV, but instead are outsourcing the repair of panel to a 3rd party. It has been 3 weeks since I reported the issue to them and still not resolved. I would stay away from this product. I don't think OLED is ready for consumer use yet. LG Model 60UH6035, purchased May 2017. January 2019, no picture. Out of warranty. I take it to repair shop and they tell me the LCD panel is shorted and not repairable. Common problem with LG. This is NOT a cracked or broken panel issue but an actual short circuit inside the LCD display. LG should be forced to warranty their screens more than 1 year. This is a disgrace. This is a very poorly made product. DO these companies think everyone can throw away a thousand dollars every year or so for a new TV? All these companies want to do is market a new TV every year. We have become a throwaway society! In 1984, I bought my parents a 25" RCA color TV. It is still working perfectly today and still has the same quality picture it had when it was first installed. It was only repaired once for cracked solder joint back in 1990. That TV cost me $650, which in 1984 was a major purchase but still was a better value than today's LG TVs.

They could not fix it because the part that was bad can only be replaced with a LG part and LG does not have that part available even though they know this part goes bad on this tv. The plastic TV legs were shattered making the tv fall to the ground from the entertainment center and crack the screen. We gathered the receipt and boxed the TV up to go back to Best Buy. They told us they could not help and we had to call LG Customer Service.
I called from the store and was told the warranty had expired (12 days ago). He said the warranty didn't cover cracked screens. I told him the only reason we had a cracked screen was that the piece of crap legs broke into pieces and the TV crashed to the ground. He asked for my address and said he would check the out of warranty schedule. He came back after putting me on hold and said there was no service technician in our area. I said I didn't want service, but a new TV.
The legs on this model were so cheaply made by plastic that they cannot support the weight of the TV move than a year and 12 days! What does that say for the safety of this TV? I purchased this TV Earlier this year, and it stopped working in less than 6 months. It stopped displaying picture and sound for no apparent reason. Because it is less than a year old it is still covered under LG’s manufacturer warranty, but my experience with trying to get it fixed has been the most frustrating and arduous customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. First they made it haste to start the repair process, because my receipt was digital and not paper (it's 2018). After several phone calls and arguments with customer support, they finally approved it for repair under the warranty.
Instead of sending an LG technician to fix it, they hired a third party repair company in my area to handle the repair. That company (Tanstel Electronics in Duluth, GA) took several weeks to finally make it to my home, and were unable to fix the TV when they did. They were also unresponsive and dishonest over the phone. For this reason I requested a new repair service from LG support, so they sent a real LG technician.
Since then they have ordered 4 parts, and made 3 more visits but the TV has yet to be repaired. Each attempted repair has cost me hours of my time, and I have burned several vacation days for nothing. It has been almost 3 MONTHS now and nothing has been accomplished. I submitted a request for a refund and they never got back to me. I URGE YOU NOT TO BUY LG PRODUCTS. I will never do business with them again.

I just returned a 3 month old 43" LG Smart TV to Costco today, after owning it for 92 days. Costco agreed to a courtesy return, because I had exceeded their 90 days electronic return policy. The reason why I returned this television was because LG no longer allowed me to watch my TV after I refused to agree on a pop-up contract, which curiously was introduced to me precisely AFTER having owned the TV for 90 days.
The content of this pop-up contract is not only outrageous, but designed in such a way that it forces the customer to agree to its terms. These terms are almost identical to the invasive terms and conditions consumer attorneys in a class action lawsuit against Vizio successfully argued. LG demanded me to agree to allowing them access to my IP address to collect data for more detailed personal information - including my age, sex, income, household size, address, phone number, email, other social media accounts, my viewing habits, the right to share any and all of information LG collects with third parties to target me with customized ads & shows, when I pause a program, how long I pause it for, what time I watch, and much, much more. It even goes as far as analyzing my voice!
If the LG TV owner does not agree to ALL of these LG’s terms, any and all TV viewing is permanently taken away. A static picture appears instead and remains thereafter, unless one navigates back to the terms and conditions. Even though it states in there that not agreeing will only disable SOME of the TV’s features. Worst of all, there is no opt-out button, nor an option to partially agree with these invasive terms. It is either agree, or no more TV watching. Had Costco not agreed to take the unit back, I would have been forced to sell it on Craigslist or elsewhere for a reduced price. I was outraged and felt blackmailed.
In addition, I found the timing of 90 days very curious, and I’m not one to believe in coincidences much. It leads me to suspect that it must have been known to LG that I purchased this TV at Costco or a similar store with such a generous 90 day return policy, because LG waited to target me on the very day they were sure that my return policy had expired and I could no longer return the TV. Like my son has for over 3 months, I now also own a Vizio, purchased today at Costco. If Vizio does the same thing to me as LG has, I will simply never buy a Smart TV again until these ** attempts of me and my family’s right to privacy have vanished from the industry.

When I call they simply put me on hold and then hang up on me. They even got me to refund department once but the refund department rejected the refund saying it has to be repaired 3 times. So now it's a cycle going on: They will keep saying, "We will file a refund (internally)" and they will reject the application saying 3 repair rule and try to find technician and then they won't find a technician to file a refund again but they wouldn't end up repairing or refunding.

They stated that they cannot find a repair shop that services my area but that I am not entitled to a replacement because I haven't had it serviced! Catch 22. Now when I call they simply put me on hold and then hang up on me. They are clearly just not going to honor the warranty. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. I bought a LG 60inch Smart TV just under 4 yrs ago, plus the warranty. The TV had issues from the beginning. Sent to shop several times. I am not a big TV watcher and I travel with my job. Therefore it was not used a lot. About 2 months ago while home I noticed a white spot on the screen. I was not home long enough to get it handled at that time. I call about 2 weeks ago and a tech came out and said that LG does not correct the issue with the TV due to the cost of replacement part of $970 and they have a flat fee of way less. He called LG gave his verdict and told me that I would probably be screwed. Of course I was not please to hear that. But to my surprise my TV will be replaced with a new TV... Thank you very much LG and Cowboy Maloney's!

Purchased our 55 inch TV in January 17 from Curry’s. Until a few days ago it seemed perfectly ok, however whilst watching a movie it just shut down and displayed the LG life is good screen and the only operation the remote could do is to turn the tv off or on again. Googled the possible problems and it’s most likely the motherboard gone ** up. Contacted Curry’s in the hope they’d honour the 2 year EU guarantee and no but what they will do is charge us £95 to collect the TV and diagnose the fault, if it’s a manufacturing fault they’ll refund the £95. If it’s not we lose the £95 and they’ll quote to repair.
Being a tad skeptical that any company will be anything but truly honest when it means they could be out of pocket I’m guessing it’s likely to conveniently not be a manufacturer's fault but I’ll update in due course. Since this has occurred I’ve researched a little and it would seem that the larger screen LG TV’s are prone to breaking down early doors??? So beware if in the market for a big tv.

I got a reference number from them on the phone and went in to check the status the next day but the number they gave me was invalid. Went online to request a repair, sent a copy of the receipt at that time. Got an email from them a week later stating they needed my receipt so I sent it again. Still have not heard from them. I bought an LG 42" TV at Best Buy last week. I set it up and it worked fine. I bought an attachment so I could stream Netflix, etc. The TV worked fine on Friday morning. I left the house and when I turned it on that afternoon, it looked as if the picture had shattered. No one was home, but presumably there was some sort of impact damage. I repeat. No one was home. How could this be?
I returned it to Best Buy, but because of this damage, they couldn't refund or replace. LG Customer Service wasn't any help either. Best Buy did give me a discount on a new TV, as well as extended warranty. I replaced the LG with a Samsung. I haven't taken it out of the box yet, but will do so later this afternoon. I am absolutely not thrilled by this, and while I would love to get a refund from LG, my guess is that's not gonna happen.

This TV is built from quality electronics. They are not mass produced with a bottom line of profit. They set out to build the best TV that could be built. To make a name as the best. Sony did the same but priced themselves out of competition. LG has the best picture I've ever seen, and I use to inspect for Sony. The price is no more than other brands, but the quality is superior. Also, the clarity of the sound is clear even across the room with people talking in the foreground. The picture has adjustments at the push of a button. The controls work well without having to read the manual every time you want to adjust sound or picture.
The ease of connection to peripherals is outstanding. Several sizes to choose from and solid body and screen makes it easy to trust when moving from room to room, or home to home. A remote that fits in your hand like it was made for you. And a stand that can be removed easily so you can hang it on the wall or leave it on and it fits all sizes of tables. I have owned several different brands of TVs, but this brand LG, is by far my favorite.

4 months ago I purchased a 65 inch LG-4K TV, and I want to tell people what I wish someone had told me about LG TVs, which is that they are the most fragile product you will ever own. The TV had some nice qualities, such as good picture and easy to set up. Unfortunately, it is too fragile for anyone with pets or children. A woman came over to our house with her four year old child. He tossed a nerf ball to her, and missed, with the ball lightly grazing the screen of the TV. I did not worry about it, since such a blow would have done no harm to a window, mirror, or laptop screen. However, when I turned the TV on, I found a huge crack on the inside to the TV which rendered it unwatchable.
There was no visible damage to the exterior screen (which is light plastic, not glass) but the interior LED screen was destroyed. I am out $800 for the mistake of buying the most fragile TV I have ever heard of. Do not repeat my mistake. Do not buy an LG TV if you will ever have a child or animal in the same room as it, or if there is any possibility of someone bumping it or pressing hard against it. Also, do not buy it thinking that a warranty will cover accidents like this. I contacted LG to complain about the product quality, and they told me that any breakage due to physical damage -- even damage caused by a touch so light it should not break anything -- was my problem and not theirs.

Their "authorized repair facility" turns out to be a little electronics store in a strip center about 60 miles from my house. They obviously don't want to do warranty repairs that are that far from their facility. They never answer their phone, nor return any messages left on their answering service. I have asked LG to just replace the TV but they claim they need the 'ticket number' from the repair facility. Found a $35 T-comm board. Have ordered it as a last ditch effort to fix the TV. We fully expect this to fail. But we are going to try. If it works, we will post with our result. We will hang onto all documentation in case there is a class action suit. Given the volume of complaints, there should be a lawsuit. We don’t routinely throw away $1000. Will be proclaiming to any who will listen that LG is a horrible company. NEVER AGAIN!

The sales person explained which TV should be used in a certain room. Big difference if you put it in the basement or in a living room. The delivery and price were very reasonable. The TV is great.

Hi, I got a LGSJ8500 UHD television, after 6 months, I saw an internal crack and the crack seems to be spreading because of internal heat. The LG consumer service are saying it's because of physical damage and we are certain that the TV was not touched. I will keep you guys posted on whats going on...

If I could give LG a negative star, that's what they'd get. We've had this LG 3D TV 65" for exactly 2-years and have hardly used it during that time. Maybe a handful at best. The TV panel went bad and was clearly a manufacture defect, per the TV repair company. The LG technician who looked at the TV remotely along with the TV repair company, we hired, even said it was a manufacture defect. Due to the TV being 12-months out of warranty my claim was denied by LG to fix the TV. That was our first LG TV and our last. If you want to waste $1600 buy a LG TV.

I purchased this brand product in the past and found it to be an outstanding use. I never had any problems in using or identifying needs for its use.

I really like the LG -Life's Good- brand. I've owned several LG products and was always very happy with them. Our TV looked great, with a larger screen than average, was an excellent price compared to similar products with the same features. But unfortunately, my son threw a popsicle at his brother and it hit the screen instead; the picture almost immediately became fractured, disjointed looking, and within an hour went completely black, although the sound was still fine. To repair it was going to cost about 50% of the purchase price which we felt was not worth it. While I had a bad experience with this particular product of theirs, I feel that we were equally at fault for it malfunctioning. If it weren't for this event, I would have given the brand overall a 4-5 instead of a 3. The LG brand is most often a good value.

LG Oled 65" - Image retention (burn-in) made me sick after dropping over $3000 for this television, I called LG and they said the only fix was a new screen and the burn-in was not covered under the warranty which translate to me that they knew it would happen and made sure the warranty would not cover it. No more LG televisions and a warning that customers should not be fooled by how deep the blacks are and how many billions of colors the Oled produces while leaving out the fact that the Oled must be treated like a baby and seldom watched. Also be sure to read the fine print on Samsung's no burn in guarantee, another treat me like a baby or I will mess on your screen guarantee.

LG 65G6P-U OLED TV - Within a year of purchase there is burn in on the screen. They will not honor it for warranty. They only warranty this television for a year and this is not covered. This is a very pricey television and it is absurd to expect people to change the screen constantly to keep this from happening. They do not even warn the buyer that this can happen. A buyer expects much more from a television of this price range. I will never buy another LG product of any kind. If they do not stand behind their products the consumer is stuck with inferior products. The repair of this television is over $4500.00!!! New Buyers BEWARE!!!

This tv’s backlights went out after about 3 years. Had them replaced for about 150 and lasted 5 months. Not worth the money for the tv and definitely not worth getting it fixed repeatedly. No more LG's for us.
