We bought a 65 inch LG OLED TV in July 2021 from Best Buy in Chandler AZ, OLED65CXPUA, and not even 3 years later it is basically useless. It freezes regularly and needs to be unplugged in order to reset. We talked to a LG registered service man and he said it was the mother board and would be a little over $600.00 to repair. We paid a little over $1800.00 for it in 2021 and now are probably going to bite the bullet and buy another TV instead of paying to fix this one. The repair man also said that our problem with the TV was not uncommon for LG TV's that came out around this time (2020). Shoddy craftsmanship for sure.

This was not a cheap TV. 65-inch bought about 4 years ago. It will not stay connected to WiFi, no matter what remedy you try, and there are plenty of them on the Internet. Sometimes the remote just freezes and won’t even let you open settings (no, it’s not the batteries - those are brand new). It will randomly disconnect from WiFi and then make you type in your password every few minutes. It will show the WiFi signal as strong, but the picture is muddled and pixilated. No other device in the house experiences this. I’ve tried everything from turning off the quick start feature to manually setting the DNS, to unplugging it, to plugging it back in. This TV is absolute garbage, and I will NEVER purchase another LG product again!

“Purchased a 75inch UHD smart TV ( not cheap) and after 2 years of moderate use it had a blue hue to the picture. As time (3 months) went by it got worse. Did my research and found that LG used defective LED strips from a company called Vestel and it is a common complaint from thousands of LG TV owners. Contacted LG customer service ( A real joke there) and they refused to do anything about it even after acknowledging that the LED strips were indeed defective!!! I asked them as a customer service option, make an offer at a reasonable price to replace the TV and they refused. They were dismissive and could care less about your concerns. This is NOT A COMPANY YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH. Horrible.

I’ve never had a tv that has ever done anything like this. But this LG tv worked fine, for the first few years, and now it drops it internet connection. Then you have to go through a complete new setup for the TV, because nothing that they tell you that will correct it, does. I have been resetting my LG TV’s entire setup, like it’s a new tv every day for the past two weeks. And now, I’ve had to do it twice today. And when I tried to do it again for the third time today, it’s not able to find the internet connection at all, and I sat there for about an hour and a half trying everything to make it work.

Then my wife went in and got out other tv, and it works just fine but the bigger, more expensive LG tv, it doesn’t seem to be able to find any internet connection that it can connect with, but the other tv is working just fine. I don’t think that I would ever, buy anything that LG makes again. My experience in the past two weeks has been terrible for me and my family. I will probably let everyone that I know about the experience that I have had with their products. As far as I am concerned, they’re all junk!

I bought this TV 9-24-2017 (OLED55C6P) for thousands and got a 5 year warranty from CPS. It is experiencing burn-in and I've never left it on with a static image on it, or at all when it wasn't being watched/used. On Jan 16 I contacted LG to see what they'd say about it (via chat) and sent a pic. An agent told me that LG would schedule a 1 time courtesy repair and I should call CPS to schedule it. I called CPS and they said I had to schedule through LG so I got on chat again. I was then told that yes, I would get the repair but CPS would be calling me in 3-5 days. That time has gone by so I inquired today via chat.

Today (1-25-24) another agent says there is no way LG will repair my TV without a charge, contradicting what I was told twice on chat on Jan 16. This agent today said "well it might have been a new employee who told you that they'd repair it free" ... so their agents aren't trained? That is THEIR responsibility. They can't be making such promises to customers and then not stand behind them, at least not if they want any kind of decent reputation. This TV should not have had this burn-in already, and I would be pissed about that but now I am even more irate that I was told it would be fixed and now being told it won't. DO NOT BUY LG products!

I tried all recommendations on the net to try to fix it, but no luck. I called LG technical support, but basically told me to go cry to someone who cares and refused to help even remotely. For more than a year my $7000 dollars LG TV has malfunctioned. It has turned itself off, disconnected from internet and wouldn't open apps on TV. Even today, December 13th 2023 after Quatum Fiber new devices Fiber Optic connections this TV wouldn't function adequately. Also, this comes after bestbuy, LG's product sales store having previously replaced this LG TV motherboard.

When LG tech came to my home to troubleshoot the TV, he arrogantly denied the possibility of Bestbuy, LG's product store representative having told me they replaced the motherboard on their product, yet yesterday I received their flyer requested me to consider purchasing an extended warranty on this TV. Why would I consider their extended warranty when no one honored my initial warranty to provide me a new non defected TV which should[ve been produced a new TV. But they belabored their responsible for their product being unwarranty and only allowed a new motherboard for the TV instead of a new TV with the possibility of not being defected.

The tech was adamant the problem wasn't with their product and put a squeeze on every fact I presented about the slew of technicians work and stragies used to solve this mystery regarding their malfunctioning product. For over a year I've had to endure the insolence and arrogance of people foolish enough to believe the story about this blatant disregard won't be told or matter. What they don't know is the truth will ultimately prevail for all. After a year of strategies implemented concerning this matter it has become painfully obvious LG's tv is definitely defected. And the only resolution is for LG to put in the spot and people see and hear who they truly are, and let the axe fall where it may. Because LG deserves a watch dog like the BBB bureau and all government officials. Again, I must have my defected TV replaced by LG to make me whole.

Replacement, including shipment, is $65 because the remote is two weeks out of warranty. I have working remotes for TVs well over 10 years old. This Magic Remote is clearly a shoddy product, but the high cost of replacement and a warranty too short for the product incentivizes LG not to correct the problem. The tech denied responsibility and LG totally dismissed my assertion that the tech was to blame. After 10 months of filing complaints and dealing with LG customer service, LG has now attempted to shift the blame to the service technician, who they claim is an independent contractor. Basically, LG sold me a defective product and refuses to stand behind the repair work performed by its hired contractor, leaving me with a $3,000 TV that only worked for 2 months. The LG smart TVs use their own operating system and then make it difficult and expensive for content providers to be able to produce the correct apps to be available for the LG smart TV operating system. If I want to watch the things I want to watch, I have to override the LG Smart TV operating system with a third party add-on like a Roku device, desktop PC, or a DirecTV box that will work with even a TV without smart TV capabilities because those devices add their own smart TV operating system. DirecTV boxes even use an Android operating system. So why even make LGs be a smart TV?

For ages we thought it was actually the wifi, routers, purchased replacement routers, extensions, etc., etc. The TV just decides to disconnect from wifi, stating not connected to wifi, so you go through a process of reconnecting, works the few 10x you do it, then it just doesn't anymore. you waste time reconnecting the wifi, have to re-enter your password for it to tell you it's wrong. It's always wrong, but tomorrow it will reconnect like there is no problem. Do not buy this TV.

The LG is probably newest, it has a blackened area on the top L corner, one day, no idea why, it started to CONTINUOUSLY drop the wifi which is wonderful in the era of streaming. I did updates, tested 2 providers, every other one of our 50 wifi devices connects no problem... Why deal with that? Just go with Samsung, it's never done me wrong and I've had several in the past.

Purchased my OLED 2 years ago, and after 1.5 years (warranty is only 1 yr) the TV starting randomly powering itself down. LG service tech recommended new OLED screen, mainboard, and power board at estimated $2400 in repairs (more than current price for a new 65" OLED). Following the LG tech's recommendation, I called cust service to demand a replacement OLED screen, offering to pay out of pocket for labor and for new main and power boards.

I've spoken/communicated with 5 different reps over the past 4 months, and every one of them tells me the same story--replacement screen should be no problem but needs to be approved by management; promised to be my point of contact until the issue was resolved...then nothing, crickets, total silence. Meanwhile my very expensive TV sits dark. I think LG reps are literally trained to blow people off until they get so frustrated that they'll drop it, like I eventually did. At this point, I've given up on LG and bought a Vizio replacement. LG has shown their true colors, and I'll never buy any LG product again.

I was in complete disbelief, so I tried to call "customer service" at 7:20 pm only to find out they were CLOSED! Nothing says that a company has given up like closing before the sun has gone down!

Sad TV 2 - Just got it home last night. I decided to go with the upscaled OLED. Got into bed last night to sadly find out that the "Magic" remote wasn't very magic. It seems that someone at LG decided not to go the extra step and include BACKLIGHTING on the remote! So if you want to use the remote, you have to fumble around in the dark trying to get the light on to operate the remote. What a buzzkill! REALLY? How hard could it possibly be to add a backlight to a remote! I will be bringing the TV back tomorrow and telling them what I think of their highly overpriced monstrosity.

The internet connectivity on it too is pretty slow, even when connected directly to the router using Ethernet. The smart features on the TV is also pretty limited as I wished to have the Amazon Alexa integration capability in it too, but I didn't get that in with the TV -- so I was quite a bit disappointed with it. My entire house is equipped with Amazon Echo devices and it's also a nice touch where I'm able to control a lot of smart appliances and devices with it which makes everything for me much easier to manage since I tend to be pretty busy throughout the day, so it takes a while to get things going.

I am very disappointed in LG's OLED TVs. First off, I think it's ridiculous how they market these as having excellent picture quality but don't warn customers that you have to watch them with caution. If you leave static images on screen for too long, you risk the possibility of burn in which happened to me twice! The first time it happened, LG replaced my screen at no additional charge (Which is not recommended). After the replacement, my screen burned in again less than a year later even after my running the clear panel noise tool to help prevent it from happening.

I contacted LG support to inform them of the issue, and I was routed to executive level support who rudely informed me that they could not do anything since they'd replaced it the first time. This is after they admitted the TV I have does not have the appropriate software to help mitigate the burn in issue and it was no fault of my own. Ridiculous as I paid almost 2K for this TV. LG does not cover burn in for a reason and I personally think it's unprofessional as they know their TV's are susceptible to this issue and it's not just a "user error"!

Also, LG, why not warn customers ahead of time that they need to basically "babysit" their TV if they purchase an OLED and cannot watch it in a traditional sense (Meaning leaving it on sports for more than a few hours)? I have always been a fan of LG but this experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend purchasing an OLED from LG. I hope your software has gotten better over the years bc the picture quality is great however; customers like me are left with almost 2k gone down the drain due to burn in that you knew was possible yet ignored to inform customers of. Your support team at the executive level needs to up its level of professionalism as well.

I purchased an OLED TV from LG Canada through Best Buy back in 2017, delivered in 2018. It had issues from day 1, burnt pixels, turning itself on & off and was initially replaced by Best Buy but the issues resurfaced and contacting LG was completely humiliating, they made fun of me! I was told they don't see any issues and even if they do, they won't fix it or care if I lose trust in LG! Is this really what LG is going for these days? I had purchased many LG products from phones to TVs & monitors for many years but I wouldn't buy anything with LG ever again. A premium expensive TV shouldn't be this terrible.

I contacted customer service and they said it’s too far out of warranty. Are you kidding me?!! Will never ever buy or recommend LG TVs again!

I purchased an LG OLED 55” curved screen television less than 2 years ago for $3000. It has become the worst television ownership experience I’ve had since tube TVs became obsolete. After a year, I began to notice vertical and horizontal lines about three inches wide that traversed my screen. At first, they were only visible on lighter screens but now are visible against everything except black backgrounds, I contacted LG and they advised me to perform a corrective function which did absolutely nothing. Beyond that, I was told that it was a “burn in” problem common with this technology and not covered under warranty. Now, for the first time in years I am faced with the prospect of having to replace a television not because it is obsolete but because it is defective. I am a very unhappy customer!

LG service provided a list of fixes - - mostly rebooting which doesn't work 99.9% of the time. So frustrating! Too bad they can't provide a real fix.

I bought an LG LED TV in July of 2020, it began having issues and was covered under warranty so I began the process on 11/13/20, they used a third party service center that took weeks to schedule, were unable to fix the tvs problem, but canceled the service order anyway. Back to square one. The third party service technician even reported generally bad customer service from LG compared to the other TV brands they service. LG is completely unresponsive to their return authorization email, policy said 24 hours for a reply, but that was 12/28/20 since the first one, and two more since then still with no reply. (Luckily that documents itself.)

LG's call center reported that it had "larger than normal call volume" and hold times every time I've tried to call over these 2+ months, meaning either: they give consistently bad service, or are somehow understaffed to respond to their requests. IF you do get through it's inevitably to a department who can't answer the question, and just dump you into the queue for another department. As of 1/20/21, LG has finally approved a refund on 1/15/21 but told me to wait 2-3 days to confirm details for my refund, and five days later I'm spending an hour after work reaching out to them to send me that form to fill out to even continue this process of getting a refund for a defective, and unfixable LG TV.

Overall, it's been a frustrating and painful process to get a working TV or refund, and I would not recommend anyone buy an LG tv in case you have to jump through the hoops like I have, choose a brand who won't dump you off on a third party service center for months while failing to uphold their warranty. The TV itself, was decently nice until the screen started having issues. I'd be happy to provide evidence here, or to LG if they ever reach out.

My OLED (65in B7A 2018) tv has suffered from the exact same issues plaguing many throughout the world that led to 60000 televisions being recalled. For some reason, they claim these issues are impossible for US televisions even though they have the same board and capacitors. The issues plaguing these televisions are related to the power supply and lead to overheating and in some instances fire. The overheating of the power supply causes a capacitor to trip and thus making it so the TV will not turn on again. There is a reason the TV was recalled in other countries, it is potentially quite dangerous. LG has not yet provided a service to fix TVs in the United States plagued by the same issues as other countries and have not yet provided adequate customer service to fix the issue.

Unfortunately, I have recommended this television to many people because the picture quality was honestly amazing. Thought I would be an LG OLED consumer for a long time but unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone buy a >$2000 television set from a company that refuse to even fix potentially dangerous televisions. Regardless, the >$2000 television is now a potentially dangerous brick.

LG OLED 55in TV I bought in 2018 is now showing serious burn-in making the viewing experience pathetic. Contacted LG and was offered courtesy replacement and asked me to bear the labor cost. Asking the agent how much will the labor cost, I was told the service center will give me a quote and they don’t have any numbers or standard rate. Now service center calls me and gives me a quote of $300.

I am really disappointed and worried with the cost associated with labor and it’s not even 3 years and I have to spend the additional amount which has no guarantee that I may end up in the same situation again. Upon contacting LG again to understand if they can help in anyway to bring down the labor cost or waive off, had a bad experience with a rigid NO and non-customer centric response stating LG is already bearing the part cost and cannot do anymore. I am worried if the OLED tv life is meant to be less than 3 years? Am I supposed to continue watching with bad display experience, if I am not happy to spending another $300 which will give no guarantee that this problem will not occur again. LG Reference No: **

Before I write about my experience with LG, let me first tell you about myself. I am a 40 year gas industry professional. I have been the National Service Manager for a decade with a division of Rheem. I ran the call center, wrote the warranties and administered them. I've been an application engineer (a safety engineer) and Marketing manager. It has taken an extraordinary failure to get me to take the time to share my negative experience with your readers. My comments are accurate, honest and quite telling.

I purchased my 65" SJ9500 4k TV from Dell.com for $2,000 in the fall of 2018. It worked without issue until the evening of the 11th of October, when without notice or warning the screen assembly detached from the frame and came crashing down on the mantle and hearth. The parts knocked over candelabras and if they would have had lit candles, my home could have caught fire. And child sitting in front of the TV when it came apart could have been seriously cut from the heavy sheets of plexiglass that detached from the frame.

I had a dozen or more conversations with LG customer service agents that were totally over their heads in terms of trying to understand and responsibly escalate what had happened and what the consequences could have been to the staff safety engineers at LG. By early November one agent gave me an assurance that the TV would be replaced, and LG would contact me no later than December 3rd to make the replacement offer. December 3rd came and went. No call. No email. A few days ago I contacted LG to inquire. I was told that the warranty offer had been denied as "it was cosmetic damage". Since LG has refused to honor the warranty nor have they kept their word, I have filed a complaint with the Federal Consumer Products Safety Commission and I will file suit as well shortly.

I cannot emphasis how displeased I am with LG. Products and customer non-service are the worst I've ever experienced. I am extremely unhappy and I urge anyone making an inquiry about LG products to avoid their products no matter what a salesman or website claims. I hope the Federal Government finds cause to recall all of their TVs. Buy a Sony, Samsung or Visio product. Anything but LG.

About 3 months ago, just days after it was out of warranty, I noticed that the background sound was drowning out the dialogue so I had to turn up the sound ridiculously loud to hear the characters speak. I called Best Buy and they told me to take it up with LG.

So I spoke to technical service and expressed my concerns. As they were looking up my purchase I asked if they had ever heard about this problem. He said, “I have been working here a long time and I have never heard of such a problem.” In an indignant manner. He then stated that my product was out of warranty and could not help me. I complained more and told him that I was an Electrical Engineer and would understand if he would explain what might be wrong. He refused and repeated the warranty diatribe. I couldn’t believe that $1,000.00 of home entertainment equipment failed after 2 years. Ridiculous. So now I advertise the terrible products and service LG supplies. I should have known better, my sister had the same problem with a $1,200.00 range that the repair company couldn’t fix because of faulty parts from LG. Good companies take responsibility for design or manufacturing defects. LG does not. LG is not an honorable company.

I saved my money to buy my parents a LG OLED b9, a 1300 TV for Christmas. 6 months into the purchase the TV is flickering terribly, I have a attached a video for review.

A "technician" came out and told us a part needed to be ordered but the TV would probably need to be replaced and the part would be here in 10 days.... 2 weeks go by and I call the number and they tell me the service shop canceled my order. Great. They make another appointment and it's canceled for no good reason. I contact consumer affairs and someone tells me a refund is in the works and someone will contact me about a refund. That was 2 weeks ago. I just called and spoke to someone who sounded like they knew about as much as to what was going on as me, transferred me after telling me they didn't even have a case issued yet AND THEN the transfer hung up on me.

I work customer service and have so for 15 years and in no way shape or form would I have a consistent job if I treated people this way. I will be making more complaints and escalating this until I am issued my refund. I have emailed Action 9 and will be reaching out to other public sources. I have been dealing with customer service since last October (Yes, you read that correctly - it's been over a year and no resolution). I have had a repair guy out 4 different times to repair the TV. Nothing has worked so I am assuming it is a part that can't be replaced.

Customer service has been absolutely horrendous. None of them put in the proper notes so every time I call I get the run around. They try to tell you what you want to hear then don't actually do anything. Right now at this moment I am currently on hold - I have now been transferred on my call 3 times now and am going on 4 hours in one phone call and still haven't got a hold of anyone that can resolve their mistakes. I took the set apart, found the problem, LED light strips, just like they all said it would be. Now I’m waiting on replacement LED strips, from China.

You would think that the US government would step in and do something about this. It is not an isolated problem, but almost all LG TV’s are doing this. Every appliance and TV in my house is LG. We just had a new house built. All of the TV’s, and appliances, will be Samsung, not LG. 3 TV’s, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer, all are Samsung. People, pay attention to the reviews, the lack of customer service, from this company. Enough people complain, or quit buying LG products, maybe they will listen.

I only gave the one star because there is not an option to give zero star rating. I have an LG 65" flat screen TV that is just under two years old. This TV has been repaired or should I say the panel has been replaced with a "new" one twice in the past four months and guess what...it is currently not working. The TV started showing black (or white) liners on the screen, I contacted LG and they sure put on the show and had be believing that they were going to be helpful. A technician came to my house and stated that it was a wire, that didn't resolve the issue. He came back and said that it was the entire panel with mother board, so he ordered a replacement, which came in about three to four days. He came back and replaced the panel and that lasted about two months. This all happened in June of 2020.

In August the TV went out again, but this time not only did the lines show up, but the TV screen went black. I contacted LG who literally stated that they were doing me a favor by revisiting the issue. A technician came out and rudely criticized the previous technician and then left after stating that he will not touch the TV because the previous technician "messed up really bad and didn't do his job." I contacted LG yet again and yet another technician came out and said that the panel and the mother board of the current one was messed up. LG did and over-ride of the work order and he was able to order another panel and mother board...but this time he stated that the part has to be sent to their repair center. He then took the TV away and had it for about two weeks. He then told me that the part was in and the TV was repaired. This was the 27 August 2020.

He brought back the TV and it worked until this weekend 17 October 2020...when guess what...the lines showed up and then within hours the TV went black. Remember that this is still a TV that is not yet two years old and all LG cared about was that the warranty has expired... They cared very little about the quality of their product and the supposedly replacements they did twice in less than four months. So now I have to go and buy and new TV. Guess what...the unmitigated gall of an LG person to try and tell me that I should trust a newer version with a price tag of over $2,000.00...because, as he stated, the newer TVs will never do what that "older" TV did. Then guess what LG...for the inconvenience alone and in the name of good customer service that would back of your motto "Life is Good" replace the raggedy Tv with a newer one that would cost you virtually nothing considering how many you sell.

Yes I do realize that with the many many complaints you have been getting these days...replacing TVs would not be cost effective. Hey LG...at this point I do not want a replacement... I will continue to blast you on social media...and I will now have to shell out money for a new TV because I was gullible enough to trust your product...that you showed no care about.

Every TV I ever owned before smart TV's lasted , some as long as 20 years & would still work if they chose not to switch off the analogue signal, this LG I have? Useless & they really don't want to help when you speak to them. Save your money & buy Samsung, or Sony, or Panasonic, or Phillips, anyone but these lot.

I purchased an OLED TV two years ago. After one year, the TV suffered terrible banding on the screen. LG did replace the panel but within 3 months the same occurred. LG blames me for what they call burn-in. However, I have no kids in the house, I have no game consoles, and I don't watch news shows with banners. I have now argued with LG for over a year with some time off since I developed lung cancer. Like LG could care! Again, LG recently denied that I was sold a lemon and insists that it is my fault. They have told me on more than one occasion that their screens will suffer burn-in if watched more than 1 or 2 hours continuously.

How do you like them apples? Forget about watching the next big game. I have other major appliances from LG but I now have to question whether to do business with LG again after they just screwed me out of $2000. I am now stuck with a TV that can't enjoyably be watched since the picture is degraded to the extent of annoyance. Being retired and on a fixed income does not allow me to just run out and spend money I don't have to buy another TV. I say shame on you LG!

I purchased a brand new 65” LG C series OLED on 11/18/19. On 10/3/20, the TV shows only a thin red line for 1/3 second when turned on and shuts off. There was no physical damage to the tv, it worked the evening before. LG refused to honor any warranty since I was unaware that I had purchased it from an unauthorized dealer. I am forced to discard the TV which cost me almost 3K, even though LG was aware that it was a defect in that model. I consider this not to be reputable behavior and surprised that LG would treat loyal customers so poorly. Their products look very nice but are not reliable and they don’t stand behind them. I would have had the same issue if I had exceeded the 1yr warranty period.

Unfortunately, my credit card company changed their policy 2 months before my purchase without notifying me that they no longer extend manufacturers warranties. If LG makes good on this purchase, I will retract this poor review but until then, I would advise not to buy any of their products because of how poorly they treat loyal repeated customers. They could have at least offered a discount on a replacement item.

We bought this LG 55" OLED TV on July 3, 2019 so it's just a bit over one year. While watching it about 3 weeks ago it just LOUDLY exploded, shot out white sparks about 12" out from the bottom left part of the screen and died a quick death. One year warranty? THAT should be one's first clue. If LG can ONLY give a 1 year warranty on a TV that costs THIS MUCH ($1749.99) US dollars then BEWARE Folks. Since we bought it at Costco the warranty was doubled so we are still covered.

We have never able to speak to anyone at LG, but C S Rep Mae asked for tons of info, which was provided. Meanwhile, Costco has set up a repairman to come to our house and fix it. We do NOT want this TV in our house. Between our 140 years lifetime together, ie, mid-70's each, we have NEVER owned a TV that exploded. There is NO damage to the exterior however; it's all internal damage. We want LG to give us our money back. WHY are we being FORCED to abide by their idea of "good enough". That's basically what they're saying. "Oh, be nice little customer, we'll just fix this, and now go away". That is how it feels in the way LG is IGNORING and not RESPONDING to us. We've sent at least 4 emails to them about this.

Are we wrong to NOT want to keep this TV? Doesn't it make more sense to LET us DECIDE WHAT we WANT done in this case? Fixing this TV is not a satisfactory solution. Because we live in Hawaii we have TONS of electrical issues and we just didn't think about that last year when we bought it. Everything and anything electrical just breaks down here due to the high amount of excessive moisture in the air. So we know this TV will have additional problems that may not not happen until we are out of the warranty. We cannot afford to be paying for Repairs every year. Due to this we're issue we're sure this is just the beginning of a long miserable relationship with all other kinds of problems going on with it. This TV IS A LEMON.

Has anyone had their LG TV Explode?? How do you all feel about this? Would you just quietly accept a "repair"? If I were to buy this same TV at Costco NOW I could get it for 100 less PLUS get a 5 year Warranty. That is what we NEED. We have NO faith in the TV and don't want it now that it's had this major EXPLOSION. We spent $1749.99 one year ago. We know we're getting the short end of the stick here and we can't get anyone at LG to respond to us to discuss other options.

What do we have to do to get our money back? Are we LEGALLY FORCED to accept this crap TV? Doesn't the Consumer have ANY rights or say so in the resolution of a problem like this? I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK. I'll go buy a TV with a decent warranty, possibly an LG in a larger size. Don't you all think it's really cheeky to sell an almost 2K buck TV and only give it a 1 year Warranty? LG, why don't you have any faith in your product??? Now I sure don't. Shameful. Please let me know if you think I'm being too fussy or if you agree with me, thanks (if that's possible, don't know the guidelines, just signed up).

The TV is just over one year old and unfortunately outside the warranty. It turns itself off while I’m watching and then powers back on. It’s very frustrating. I researched this a bit and it seems it is very common. I seen talk of a class action from a group of angry consumers. If this is a common fault it should be fixed as it’s not fit for purpose even if it is out of warranty. Really disappointed in this company’s product

I purchased an LG 50" UHD TV from Best Buy in August 2018. Model number was 50UK6300PUE. In less than two years the internal speaker stopped working. I called LG Customer Service and was told to call local repair as it was out of warranty. The local dealer did not examine the TV but told me it sounded like an issue with the sound card connection. I have been able to connect the TV to a bluetooth speaker. I am definitely not going to purchase any other LG products and would not recommend their products due to a concern about quality.

LG OLED 55B7A green screen. I do not recommend buying an LG OLED TV. After 2 years there is a green blob radiating from the center of the screen turning anything that displays a yellow color green. After contacting LG about the problem their response was, "Sorry, you're out of luck. Warranty is only 1 year." This is a 1700.00 TV that is 2 years old. Screw you is their motto. DON'T buy an LG OLED TV. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! I'm not the only person this has happened to and they won't help you.

I turn on the TV and it blinks constantly. I have tried everything to correct this and nothing worked. One day it started working again but not for very long. So I decided to Google LG TV problems like I was having. Low and behold I am not the only one, the internet is full of LG Owners complaining about this. I tried contacting LG for some sort of guidance, I was told I would have to pay for that. Are they kidding me? A lot of money is spent on a TV and I know I am not the only one that thinks they should last more than one year. No Thanks, no more LG anything for me!

Updated on 02/11/2020: I called LG today Feb 11, 2020. It had been repaired Nov 27, 2019 and cost me $308.20. It has a 3 month warranty on the repairs. The same problem re-occurred yesterday. I called LG and they rebooked me for a repairman for this coming Friday. It will be free of charge. Although I am still disappointed in the product, I am pleased with the LG service that I have received today. The customer service was excellent and provided from the Philippines.

Original Review: I bought my LG Smart TV 4 years ago. I did not take out an extended warranty, because I trusted the LG brand as one of the best on the market. Unfortunately four years after I bought it the picture started breaking up like a jigsaw puzzle. The LG company would not help me in any way. Even if the TV was only four years old. I am 77 years old I live alone and therefore there’s not that much TV being watched. In the end I had to call Audio Video which I was told to call by the LG company.

It cost me $328 to have it repaired on 27 November 2019. It is now February 10, 2020 and the screen is starting to look like a jigsaw puzzle again. Apparently I have the warranty for three months. So I have called Audio Video and anxious to see what they will say concerning my three month warranty. I can tell you that I will never ever buy another LG product again. It is possible that I got stuck with a fluke, but nonetheless I am very disappointed in my LG smart TV. I am a pensioner on a fixed income and certainly cannot afford to go out and buy another large flatscreen. Thanks LG for your not caring.

I called LG and was advised to monitor the TV and to call back if the problem persisted. I was told they would honor the warranty. The problem persisted but only at a minor level for the next 3 months hence I did not call LG. Upon returning to Florida a month ago the problem continued and worsened. I would have the volume set at 15, would go into another room and the volume would go up to 30 by itself. This is after approximately 6 months of actual use. I was informed by “Customer Service” that even though I had reported the problem after 1 month of use the TV is no longer under warranty and I would have to pay for any repairs myself. This will be the first and last LG TV I will ever purchase.

I purchased this tv in the summer of 2017. It was manufactured in March of 2017. The tv now has a black line across it. After calling a repair tv guy that LG gave me he tells me the part alone will cost 1657.16 before tax and shipping. I paid over $2400.00 for this tv (75in) and now after two years they tell me I am just outside my warranty and nothing they can do. The repair guy said this was the third LG with this issue but LG stood up and covered all charges for the other customers that was also "outside warranty". Not sure how LG can justify telling any customer they are on the hook to pay almost as much to fix the tv than what it cost just two years ago. This was the top brand and no way it should cost me this much to fix only after 2 years.

Costco asked me to call LG to work this out and was sure they would help me. After 3 calls all three told me I was out of luck. Have to call back Costco to let them know how the call went but still not sure Costco can help at this point. I just need help from LG to step up and cover the charges here to fix a top line tv that shouldn't be broke only after 2 years. No way a customer should be on the hook for a tv this new. No way an LG product should break this quick and the customer is told too bad. When I bought LG I thought I was getting the top tv on the market made by a great company. If I get a resolution to help fix I will update but at this point I will never buy anything LG.

We called on Wednesday and they made an appt for the tech to come out on Monday to check the tv between 8am-12pm. My husband took the day off work and took the tv off the wall as instructed in the email he received about the appt time. At 10am, he called LG to confirm the appt time since we hadn't heard from anyone and they confirmed he would be here by 12pm.

At 12:30pm, the technician called and asked if we had received the parts. WHAT PARTS? Apparently the tech ordered parts to be sent to our home and calls us AFTER the appt time to see if we got them. We didn't even know that parts were being sent to us. So now we have our TV laying in our living room, a day off work for nothing, and no parts. We called LG Customer no-service and they basically asked "What do you want us to do about it?" TERRIBLE Customer Service. They can't tell us when the parts shipped, a tracking number, when they will be here or when we can actually get our tv fixed. I'm contemplating returning the tv to the store and buying another brand on Black Friday so we don't have to deal with this mess.

They have replaced parts and have taken there time on this matter. They replaced the panel, wiring and other parts. My issue is that I get horizontal lines at the bottom and top of the screen which it comes and goes. I have had Ben's Tv come out numerous times and they pretty much said there is nothing else they can fix on this tv.

LG wants to replace the panel again, which a new one has already been put on. I have had to take several days off work to accommodate the tv from being picked up and I am tired of fighting with Lg that this tv is in fact a LEMON. I have purchased several tv's in my time and never came across such a horrible experience. They denied me a tv replacement and I do not know what else more to do. It still works, but the picture isn't good anymore, but seeing as I can't afford a replacement I wanted to hang onto the old one till I could, but LG insist they will not compensate me at all unless they take the old tv. They were rude, slow to respond and even tried to infer that it was under Australian consumer Law to take back the tv... very very poor service.

I have 4 LG TVs in my home. When I purchased my very first flat screen, I wasn't certain which brand to choose. I began doing my ratings research, and from the information provided, I chose to go with an LG. The ratings were based on price, visual display, sound quality, and ease of use of the remote features. Having been completely satisfied with the first purchase, I have since bought 3 more LG flat screens to replace the remaining 3 picture tube TVs, and have not had a problem with either. The name says it all, L.ife's G.ood!!!

Easy tv to set up. Picture is pretty nice, even without having HD service connection! Has all the smart features, voice control, menu options, plus a magic remote, which makes navigation super easy to do. Affordable mid-range price. Not too expensive, not too cheap, for a well known name brand tv.

I've had my LG for 5 years now - and have had no problems at all. I've installed a Fire Stick with no problems and a sound bar, but the volume is actually pretty good on its own. Times have changed & I have all my music available through my TV so I easily switch over & listen without too much fuss. The picture quality is great & the TV is not overly heavy for its size. Fingers crossed this TV lasts several more years.

I bought the C9 because of the zoom feature. All over their videos and reviews. Well they took it out and didn't update anything out there. I have an LG OLED from 4 years ago and it got burn in. I bought this one because the zoom allows you to zoom out the news logos or other burn in problems when you watch those channels. They take the one thing out that prevents it. Real smart. Picture is great but all tv's today give you a great picture. Their customer service hasn't changed. I was a fool for buying another. Think twice because what you see in your research may not be true. They don't bother to update anything.

I originally bought a Vizio PQ65-1. I had a stunning picture but it kept losing the HDMI input for the satellite. Tech support told me to cycle power, which worked sometimes. I exchanged the Vizio for an LG 65 inch Nano cell technology model. The picture is very good but not as good as the PQ65. The remote control is fantastic and it works all the time with the satellite HDMI input.

LG TVs have wonderful picture and are good value for the money, but of the 2 different models (2018 & 2019 4k 65" Smart TV) that I own neither have the same layout nor can they be configured similarly. The newest T.V is the most troublesome. It cannot have certain options enabled or the TV will not keep its WiFi Signal for longer than a day. The customer will need to remove the saved password and re-type it. This is documented and well hidden on LG's customer support page. LG's Solution...Just plug in an Ethernet cable. Umm....That's not going to work for everyone, (my household included). And finally the last item (now i'm just nitpicking) the LG does not employ the U.S Standard QWERTY Keyboard layout. I really cannot wrap my head around how this keyboard layout ever made it into production.

I purchased a 65” LG TV for my home and it has literally not worked since Jan now. LG has sent out three different service technicians over a span of 5 visits and they have replaced the motherboard/backlight/screen and even the repair techs have said that it is a waste of time and that LG needs to send a replacement or refund. I have placed close to 50 calls to the customer service and executive services and still no resolution. They literally just sent me an email telling me that someone will be out for yet another repair on the 23rd.

I WILL NEVER WILL I EVER BUY NOR WOULD I EVER RECOMMEND LG PRODUCTS TO ANYONE ELSE. This has been a nightmare. Spend your money on a different brand. If you have LG products that have been in good condition good for you. However just know if you ever encounter a defect and it’s supposedly covered under your warranty, you WILL NEVER GET A RESOLUTION. They will just ** you around for 8 months while still not owning the fact that something you paid a lot of money for is a lemon.

OLED tech is the best. Deep blacks and great contrast and colors really make 4K pop. Only negative is that their first models had passive 3D tech which was great (could even use Real3D glasses from the theater). Now LG and probably the rest don't offer 3D even movies and Blu-rays are still being released in 3D.

I own two, one obtained new and now found one used because none other is available. I am looking for a third. I own almost every 3D film available. I wish they’d bring them back. I purchased a 65” LG TV on 4/2/2019. On 8/10/2019 in the middle of a show the picture went all blue. I contacted the support line on 8/11 and they contacted CES, our local repair, since it was still under warranty. CES called the next day and said they ordered a part. A few days later the repairman came and you guessed it, the part didn’t fix it. It is now 8/19 and I am still waiting on the 2nd part to come in. I asked for a replacement TV but CES said that is not the policy. I have a Vizio and a Philips which are both over 10-15 years old and NEVER had a problem. This will be the first, last, and only LG product I ever buy. I don’t recommend them to anyone. 4 months before failure is not a good record. BTW , the 1st one delivered has a defective screen and was replaced with this one.

LG is on the verge of becoming the next GE. I purchased a $3000 TV and it has been replaced 2 times within 18 months with the same defect of continuous burn in images. They have refused to replace again and they blamed the networks with static images. What a joke. They offered me to pay for the replacement with the same defective panel. Which sounds like a snake oil salesman scenario!!?? They handle their Customer service like health insurance claims. Along with the same nasty attitude. They will repeat the same thing over and over and still don’t accept they are responsible.

I was told by other people on their CS team and replacement center that the same model was being replaced on an average of 7 to 10 per week just in NYC alone. So if you quantify that problem, the TV should be recalled. Stay away from this brand at all costs no matter how much you feel you are saving money. Because you will regret it in the end. That goes for all appliances.
