Starday April 18,2009 I aquired though exchange, and cash A halo 3 game for the x-box 360.
I was assured I had 7 days after the time of purschues to return or refund the items exchanged. so when i went home the game did not work. so that evening I called the game stop and informed them that the item did not work. they told me I could return the item. So that Sunday the 19th. I Attempted to return the game, i tried to get the store to test the game in there x-box 360 unit they said tey did not have a key to it. so I went to another store to have the game cleaned and tested. THE GAME DID NOT WORK. So I quickly returned to the store to return the game. When I returned to the store the people there became stand offish and diffcult. so in stead of countinuing to find an adaquite replacement for the game they refused to exchange the game for the other halo3 they had in the store, they told me it was even more scrached than the other. So I (feeling that i'm being tricked) asked for my money, and the games back,

I had pre-ordered an Xbox 360 game (Resident Evil five) at my local GameStop. I paid for the video game upfront, a total of $64.04. The day the game came out, I went to pick up the video game and they told me that something was wrong with the system and that it got canceled by mistake by someone at the store and that they couldn't give me the video game unless I paid for it again even though I never got a refund for this so cancellation and no managers could be found at the time. To date, I go to the store everyday to find this manager who can help me but I always just missed him.

The manager refused to abide by the exchange policy written on my receipt. The receipt states, Opened items may be exchanged for the identical item within 30 days. The only item on the receipt is a Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit, which I gave my son for Christmas. One of the cymbals did not work, so I attempted to exchange it, per the policy on the receipt. The store manager told me that they were not allowed to exchange that item (even though they had several in stock) and that I would have to send it in for repair. I left several messages for the district manager, who did not return my calls, and I called the corporate office. The customer service representative at the district office heard my complaint and told me that I would call the store and have them exchange the item for me, but the store manager informed him that she could not exchange it because of her instructions per an email from John Doolittle, the same district manager who would not return my calls.

I had reserved the video game Guitar Hero World Tour, the complete band, for the xbox 360 on Sun10/22/08. I reserved it with a woman named Neva (the name on my reservation receipt) she asked me several times if I was reserving just the guitar and the game or the complete band; said the whole band kit. I left a reservation of $10.00. I picked up my reservation on 10/26/08 My total was $98.36; Andy was the cashiers name. I paid and left.
I had emailed the company because my game system was faulty and they advised that I return it. I returned on Tues. to speak with the store manager . He told me that I could not return the system because they did not have any in stock. I tried to return the system at another Gamestop (my local store did not have the item in stock) that Sat. 10/1/08 I was told that there was an error on the receipt that the cost of the actual system was $189.99 and that whoever made the reservation made an error and reserved the wrong system (just the guitar and the game) which was $99.99. The young lady told me I had to take the system back to my local Gamestop because there was now an error that the salesman made in price. This was the first time that I became aware of this issue. I asked the lady if I would have to pay more money and she assured me that I would not have to, that my local Gamestop would process the exchange and that I could bring the exchange coupon back to this store for my merchandise. I took the system back to my local Gamestop and Andy told me that they could not give me an exchange on my product because the price on the receipt was different to the price on my system. He even told me that there was no way he even remembered if he was the cashier that day (but it says his name on the receipt). I explained to him that at the time of purchase there was no display showing the prices on the different Guitar Hero World Tour systems therefore I did not know the price. Andy told me that he could give me a refund and that I could just purchase the item elsewhere and just add the remaining sum. I wanted was an exchange so I brought my system back home and called the regional manager, and I left a message. I called again Mon. Nov. 3rd at 3:22 PM. I spoke to the District Manager of Brooklyn who assured me that he would speak to the manager at my local Gamestop so that he could process the exchange. I called again at 3:32 PM that same day and he assured me that he had spoke to the manager and I could go in at any time to process the exchange. I took my system in that same day at 4:00 PM . I spoke to the manager. I gave him my receipt and my system and he put my system behind the counter. I asked him if he had spoken to the district manager and he said no. I began explaining to him my issue and he asked me for my telephone number in which I gladly gave it to him. He began taking money out of the register and I told him that I was not interested in a refund but in an exchange. He put the money on the counter and told me that he could not give me the exchange. He later changed his story and said that he had spoken to the district manager and that the manager had misunderstood me and that they spoke about it and decided the best thing to do was give me a refund. I left the money on the counter as I told him to give me my system back in which he refused and even told me that he could call the cops on me, saying that me even being in possession of my system I was technically stealing $89.99 from Gamestop (the difference between what I purchased and the incorrect reservation) a mistake that he made when he sold me the merchandise . He advised me not to call the district manager saying I could call as much as I want he is not gonna do anything for me.As to not leave empty handed I took the money and left. I was given no refund receipt at all.

I brought a game Fifa 2009 for the PSP handheld system. It was a used copy, but they sold it to me as brand new.
Someone must have returned it, and they just shrink wrapped it. It was shoddy job also. you can tell it wasn't factory wrapped. The clerk had to peel some of the wrap over to bar code scan the game.I still have the game unopened, and can provide pics if needed.

On 6/20/08 at 5:53pm I purchased a video game, Rock Band Special Edition for $109.99 for my son's graduation gift. He got it home unpacked everything, only to find the actual game software was not in the sealed box. I immediatley called the store was told by Cesar, who helped with the purchase, to bring it all back and he will give us the game for it. I drove back to the store, and was told by Dushawn, that is against the agreement the store has with the manufacturer not replace or return anything on this product. I was instructed to contact the manfg. by email.

I was trying to get an exchange out the Rock Band bundle kit because two of the peripherals are defective. These two peripherals are the guitar and the drum pad. The guitar's strum bar does not properly register strums during game play. As for the drum pad certain pads, sometimes the green, yellow, and blue drum pads do not register during game play. I called up GameStop to ask if I can exchange out the bundle. At first the women who helped me out said that I can, however her manager took the phone from her and said I couldn't. The manager said that I couldn't because according to Activision and their store policy that they cannot accept defective returns on gaming peripherals.

I made it clear that I wanted an exchange at first because multiple peripherals for the game are not functioning properly. I also inquired about a return. I stated that I bought the product on November 20, 2007 and I would like to return the whole bundle. At the time I asked for to make the return was December 12, 2007. I'm still within 30 days for a defective return, however I was told that it is store policy that they cannot accept a defective return on peripherals for this certain game's bundle. I asked why only for this game's peripherals and he just replied back that it is store policy that they cannot accept the return. He later than gave me the district managers phone number, but I'm am still waiting to receive a callback after leaving a measage.

This event happened today around 12:30 PM on December 12, 2007. I called the district manager around 1:00 PM and I haven't received a callback and it's been about an hour since I left a message.

My son purchased X-Box and within 3 months it stopped working. He had to ship it back to Microsoft and has been waiting about 1 month for return. This game should not be on the market from the complaints that I see and a recall of all games should be given with full refund to consumer

I recently paid to purchase an online game. After successfully paying, I never received an account key (required to play - each one unique) by email and have yet to hear from this company. I checked all my junk mail folders they told me to check. I emailed them daily about this and still have no response. I tried calling them on Sunday, and one person told me they could not access the records. I am getting a little irritated at their lack of communication.

A refurbised Playstation 2 was purchased through them in december. When it was recieved it was in very dirty condition and all stickers on it were peeled atleast a little. It was given on christmas at which time i went away for a month. When i came back, I finally plugged this system in, only to find out that the system with the refurbished stickers stuck all over it was actually not refurbished. The system plays no games or DVDs. When gamestop was contacted they said that the system was out of their warranty and I was out of luck.

I am out $150 and a Playstation 2 and have NO plan to ever shop with them again
