    Don't ever ever ever order online from Game Stop. You will be 100% assured of being screwed over. I recommend that you buy only at the physical the store locations. The online warehouse is set up like a den of thieves and modern-day pirates.

    I received a $100 gift card via email as a Christmas present. I decided to save it until the launch of the Switch 2. When I tried to use it at the start of June, the person at the store couldn't get it to work. So I reached out to GameStop customer service, and THREE WEEKS LATER they finally reply saying that the card was used in January which is absolutely not true. I try asking if they can tell me where it was used and what was purchased just to make sure it wasn't me even though I know it wasn't, and they say they don't have the tools for that. So essentially I'm out 100 bucks because somehow someone else was able to get my gift card information from their website because I know for a fact nobody accessed my email other than me.

    We had an issue with a Pokemon card submission to PSA that was handled very poorly. When we go pick up the cards, one of them seemed damaged, and my son pointed it out right away. The store associate, Maverick, told us the store couldn’t do anything and that we should contact PSA directly. They took the pictures of the cards on the day they receive them before they submit to PSA. So I asked him if we can have the picture of the card, so I can prove PSA that the card wasn’t damaged at the beginning. He just showed me the picture of it on the tablet. He told me he can’t give the original picture to me since the system doesn’t allowe him. We called the PSA, but PSA told us that the store needed to submit a “quality assurance request” on our behalf. We can’t submit it.

    When I called the store back the same day, Maverick told me the store manager would need to handle it and that I would be contacted. I called several times throughout the week to follow up, but I never received a call from the manager. Eventually, I reached out to GameStop customer service, mentioned that store didn’t help me or respond me at all. Game stop customer service emailed back to me that I would receive a return ticket for the card, so they will handle it. That never happened. Later, I was told the request was misunderstood because they thought it was an online order. Then finally, they said they couldn’t help because the card had already left the store, and they no longer took responsibility—even though their own associate told us to take the card and contact PSA ourselves.

    This entire situation was frustrating and showed a complete lack of accountability. I followed every instruction, stayed patient, and trusted that this would be handled professionally, but that never happened. It’s very disappointing that GameStop refuses to acknowledge or correct their employee’s mistake. We’ve been loyal GameStop customers for years—my kids love shopping there and we’ve never had an issue when it comes to making purchases. But unfortunately, when we had a problem with a PSA submission order, the support and resolution process was extremely disappointing.

    I waited patiently, trusted that GameStop would handle things professionally, and communicated clearly with their customer center. Despite this, the issue was never properly addressed. It felt like once a payment is made, the support just disappears. My son paid $25 to card itself, paid Game Stop around $25 to submission to PSA. And if the card wasn’t damaged and came with a good grade from PSA, it would be around $180.

    I sent in $8000 in cards through Gamestop on Feb 11, 2025 to be graded by PSA. It is now June 4, 2025 and the box was lost by Fed Ex. I am being told that mine and the 5 other people's cards that were in my same box. They have offered me $1600 in compensation which included my original $143 for submitting my cards. I told them they were worth around $8000 and they didn't care. They will not supply me with MY tracking number which leads me to believe it never left the GameStop store. I told them I am taking them to court and they can care less. I really believe that the Gamestop employee and Fed Ex driver are thiefs. If you go on Youtube there are at least 7 other people who Gamestop and Fed Ex have lost their box. There was one guy on there who lost $375,000. DO NOT LET GAMESTOP SEND YOUR CARDS TO PSA.

    Title: Absolutely Awful Customer Service—Avoid This Store! I had one of the worst retail experiences at the GameStop on Colorado Blvd in Denver. I initially purchased a used PS4 controller for $54.99, unaware it wasn’t new. When I returned it due to issues, I was required to pay another warranty fee just to exchange it—only to receive another used controller, which was in even worse condition than the first. Frustrated, I returned again the next day, asking for a refund.

    Instead of professional service, I was met with rude remarks from an associate named Zach. After finally getting my money back, I checked my receipts only to realize the math did not add up—my initial total with warranty was $82.66, but my refund was only $64.67. Confused, I went back to the store to clarify, only to be dismissed entirely. Zach literally threw up his hands and said, “So what about it? It’s not that much money.” That’s not the point. The customer service at this location is terrible, and their dismissive attitude toward resolving legitimate concerns is unacceptable.

    I had high hopes for this store and was initially impressed with their variety. But after this experience, I can confidently say I will never shop at GameStop again. This location needs serious improvements, and the staff—especially Zach—should be held accountable for how they treat customers. If you're considering shopping here, think twice

    Ordered a game 3 weeks ago, when I use the tracking number they provided it says "pre shipment". After the first week, I wrote in and GameStop tells me that my game was "lost in the mail"... I am not sure if it would say "pre shipment" if it had already shipped, but okay. They asked if I wanted a refund and I told them "no, I want the game". They tell me that their "internal team is investigating my case" and it will be 7-10 days before it is complete. I told them to forget it, I'll take the refund and will order from somewhere else. They tell me that it is too late for a refund and I am stuck waiting for the game. 3 weeks so far, no game, no working tracking number. Should have read the reviews before I used GameStop!

    Absolute trash customer service. I ordered a used XBox 1 in January, it worked for less than a week so I contacted GameStop and was told they would send me a return label and to take it to my nearest store. It took a month of me reminding them to get the label. Finally, I take it to my local store to be told that the only employee working didn’t know how to do it, I’d have to come back when the manager was there. So I come back, still no manager. I drive across town to the store where the manager is to be told that he can’t do anything, I need to contact GameStop online. After weeks of waiting to hear back from them I was told to take it to a UPS store. To then be told at the UPS store that the shipping label is wrong. Contact GameStop again to be told they will email me a new one. Here it is, April and I still haven’t received my new shipping label. I would give them a zero of if I could. Basically paid money for a broken product.

    I purchased a game for my boy along with the membership for almost $28.00 dollars. I only used it once, I call them to cancel. They don't pick up the phone. They make you wait for a long time, still they don't return phone calls after you chose the prompt.

    If you purchase anything from game and want to return for refund forget it. You will be told to contact customer care and then they in turn will refer you back to the store where purchased and no refund will be issued. Bought Gamestop pro and canceled within time limit and still refuse refund. What a horrible company and as others have stated stay away. Go to a reputable store like target. At least they do not run you around and returns are very easy.

    Absolutely ignored me in store. No hi or how can I help you. There were 3 young people there doing nothing but talking. When I asked about items after 25 of being in store was told they are busy..Seriously busy? Left with my grandaughter crying because of the rudeness. Tried to talk to what I think was manager outside smoking by the front door and said he was off the clock so not his problem. I thought this was a kid's store. Very ticked off. Stay away from this store. Used to go here all the time. Really gone downhill. Also product seemed low including sportcards. This was the gamestop store in Midland Texas off the loop by Walmart. Tried calling to complain and put on hold forever and then click was cut off. This went on for over 30 minutes. Gamestop seams to have lost its way. Will be telling other friends and family to stay away from any of these stores for now on. What a sad day.

    GameStop had my card added to someone else's account and charged me. When I called I was informed that only the owner can remove payment options and forget about the money they took outta my account. So basically anyone who gets your info can add your card and there is nothing they will do about it.

    I wish I read those reviews before I purchased a dock for my Nintendo Switch. I went to the store and they did an online order for me. I paid full price (86$), not knowing the same item was (53$) on Amazon & Walmart. I received a preowned item that is defective. Gamestop refused to take it back. This is not acceptable.     I bought a used console from Gamestop thinking that it was safer than eBay... I was wrong. It constantly ejects CDs. I had to wait 8 days to get a response from their customer service.     Bought some Xbox Games on December close to Christmas and ordered as Same day delivery through online and they sent Walmart Spark Company to deliver the order. On the text received later told it's delivered and when I look outside on my house the item is not there and the link saying delivered has no proof or picture it's delivered.

    I called customer service and they told wait for next day and call them. I called them back on the next day they can't do anything and they don't have any proof or picture it's delivered. Only thing they saying the deliver driver told it's delivered and they gave delivery driver number and I called the delivery driver and that person was rude and screaming saying I am not sure where I deliver the order as she is delivering 100 of delivery every day but she delivered a house not mine. I called the customer service and told them to provide a refund. After 1 hr of phone with them they can't do anything because it delivered as per driver.

    I am a Gamestop pro member, order from there regularly, and will no longer do business with gamestop. Worst online customer service and flat out will not help you resolve your issues with an online order. Had pre-ordered a bunch of prismatic and they canceled it instead of fixing the problem which was an old cc that expired this month was attached to the order. Instead of helping me, canceling/reordering it through their system, or coming up with a solution they just canceled it but gave me an opportunity to order it in the future when it was back in stock. I called multiple times and it does a callback, definitely won't call back. I canceled all my future orders and won't be doing business with them again. Pokemon center, Target, Walmart, etc. I had the same issue with zero problems fixing it. Save your money and go elsewhere where customer service is still important.

    FedEx delivered package outside apartment building instead of inside. Front door is located inside the building. Someone stole the package and GameStop refuses to give me a refund. I did everything they asked. I made a complaint to FedEx. I even did a police report as requested. Only for them to tell me that I won’t get a refund at all, but they could’ve just told me this a month ago when I initially contacted them. Will never be their customer again after 27 years.

    I purchased a Nintendo Switch on Black Friday. It was to be shipped to me. I also made some purchases in store at the same time. The machine was down and a receipt would not print. I didn’t worry about it. A few days later my order was canceled for my switch. They said I wasn’t charged but I was. I have bank back up. They will not refund. The store or corporate. My bank cannot back me up because of the items I purchased in store making the discrepancy in the totals not matching. I need a refund for $214 but my total purchase was $272. Jake who works at the store remembers this. He told me face-to-face on January 17 he remembers this. I have a witness. He was going to speak to his manager. After speaking to his manager he won’t refund me. Jake also would not give me a written statement to something he had said the night before. I think he is afraid of his manager. I also believe I was treated this way because I am a woman. This is a scary place that will steal your money.

    I ordered a specific (not random) deck of cards. I was sent a different, less expensive deck. I mistakenly thought, "no worries, I'll just go return or exchange the incorrect item." I was WRONG. When I attempted to return/exchange (with receipt and within the return period) the incorrect item, Game Stop refused to return or exchange. The policy is to refuse returns of unopened, sealed decks, even if they sent THE WRONG ONE. I unfortunately found Game Stop deliberately perpetuates and defends this bait and switch scam. Do not buy from the Gamestop website. They perpetuate and rigorously defend bait and switch FRAUD.

    I bought a refurbished Switch console from them recently. The Switch itself was in great condition, no scratches, scrapes, dings etc. The joycons were not. I hadn’t noticed they were broken until after I had transferred all my data from my old Switch, so when I got a replacement from Gamestop, and turned in the one that I originally bought, I asked what to do about my save data. The store attendant lied to my face, and told me that when I left, and linked my nintendo account, it would all be transferred over to the new Switch. That did not happen. I have 4 years worth of save data all erased from history, because the attendant lied to me. I will never buy anything from GameStop again.

    I ordered a digital gift card as a stocking stuffer on 12/19 and the confirmation email said delivery within 24-48 hours. It is now the 23rd and nothing. Going to the site to track order it says delivered and the download link does not work. Emailed, called, messaged every possible way. The store is useless to talk to. No responses. Wasted money.     I wanted to get my son, who is an Star Wars fan, an electronic Darth Vader helmet. I ordered it from GameStop.com because it said 1 - 3 days delivery. I ordered it on November 24, 2024, they took the money out of my account on November 26 and said it was shipped on November 27. My tracking number stayed in pre-shipment, it never made it to the post office. On December 8 I sent emails to Customer service and filled out a lost in transit form with GameStop and a missing mail form with the post office. It took about 2 weeks before I even got a response from online customer service. They kept giving me the runaround until I showed proof that I filled out all of the forms to get a replacement for my lost order.

    I called customer service a week later to find out how long it will take to send my replacement. The ** guy I talked to gave me the runaround and told me to wait for the online team to tell me something, which makes no sense because he should know what they know. What I ordered was originally supposed to be my son's birthday gift but since it did not come by his birthday I end up giving him his Christmas gift as his birthday present instead. It is now December 22nd, 2024 and I still don't have my package so my son won't have his Christmas gift under the tree. I will never again buy anything online or in store from GameStop ever again.

    Horrible experience last December 2023 trying to use GameStop gift cards online to purchase Christmas gifts. Had to contact BBB to get funds reinstated on gift cards when GameStop canceled my order because they didn’t have the inventory I ordered and then did not refund the gift cards by weeks later. Trying to use up these gift cards and be done with them forever this December 2024. Second Sunday before Christmas drove to GameStop store #885, supposed to open at 10am, but it did not open entire day. Drove there three times as it was the only location within 50 miles of me that had the gaming mouse I wanted to buy for my son. Went there Monday after work and was told they did not have it as clerk couldn’t locate it on the wall behind him. He asked to see my phone with the website showing one on hand at that location. Then he checked his computer and said “oh it actually says we have two here, let me check in back”.

    He walked ten feet to a large box in the entryway to a back room and picked it up right off the top of a pile of stuff in that box, his buddy hanging out leaning against the counter this whole time. Gamestop, your customer service is terrible, you’re unreliable and unneeded. Enjoy the chapter 11 that you're headed for: you have absolutely earned it.

    I ordered 2 physical gift cards 2 weeks before Xmas to give as gifts. They notified me that they would be delivered on 12/26. I called customer service which was frustrating and unhelpful. No - they could not cancel the order; No - they could not expedite the shipping; No - they could not give me 2 digital cards (only 1 for the value of 2 separate cards); No - I could not speak to a supervisor, since there were none available; No- I did not get the promised call back from the supervisor.

    I ordered a product from Gamestop.com on 11/30/24. On 12/6/24 it said the product was to be delivered. On 12/7/24 it said there was a delay with the delivery. On 12/12/24 I called my local post office and was told that the package was lost and would not be delivered. My GameStop tracking number reflected the case was opened and closed on 12/12/24 by the Post Office and that there was an “exception” with my order. I have called GameStop customer service four times, starting on 12/12/24 and most recently on 12/17/24 and they have refused to issue a replacement, even though the tracking shows the package as lost on 12/12/24. I was charged for this purchase on 12/2/24, and have yet to receive the product, any update, or any GameStop initiated communication. Their customer service is obviously outsourced, and it is impossible to get in touch with anyone local who has any idea of what’s going on.

    I’ve asked twice to speak to a customer service supervisor and have been refused both times. I was told one will call me back, and they did not. I keep getting the runaround. At this point, it feels like they are scamming me. My son’s Christmas may be ruined due to GameStop’s egregiously terrible customer service. For a company this size, there is absolutely no excuse for this type of misconduct and customer neglect.

    I originally placed the order online with Google Pay. The order was declined. Chase sent me a fraud warning saying the payment was declined. I resolved the fraud warning from Chase which means they will no longer block the order. I try to place another order on Gamestop, order was declined again. Call Chase. They say the fraud ban has been lifted and the 2nd order went through, but it is now Gamestop that is cancelling the order. Call Gamestop. Customer service is extremely incapable at fixing any issue around the card. He does not try anything but instead suggests that I just go to the store. I find it hard to believe there it is impossible to "enable" the purchase on their end.

    I originally placed the order on 12/7 at 11:09 with Google Pay. It errored out and I can see the charge and subsequent refund in Google Pay. I immediately switch to PayPal and submit at 11:10. When I submit, I validated the total amount was the same (118.69). However, when I get the confirmation email I see that they double charged me, doubled all the item quantities. I immediately email them (11:13) and explain what happen and ask them to remove the extra items from my order. No one responds until 5 days later and they tell me they will not honor cancelation policy (despite the fact that I emailed within 3 minutes of submitting the order), they will not allow me to return items that I did not agree to purchase or be charged for. I spend hours trying to get in touch with someone via phone, and the manager is extremely rude and tells me I'm lying!!

    Placed an order 11/30/24, also applied for a credit card. Got approved for x amount and was billed $344 which is correct. Received my order number and nothing else since then. Contact Gamestop support and they told me my order was canceled due to my financial institution denying my purchase. It was not my financial Institution but the gamestop institution that canceled my order even though they approved me for a credit card. Then they tell me they will refund my money and I can buy the products all over again. I asked if they would honor the discounted prices from 11/30 and was told no. Gamestop is a rip off and a horrible company to deal with. Take your money elsewhere.

    NO STARS AT ALL! On Nov 23, I made an online purchase at Gamestop.com and was supposed to be delivered in 1-3 days. Today, Nov 30 and no tracking info because delivery still in pre-delivery status. Gamestop never gave my order to USPS and Gamestop can't even find the order in their warehouse. The Customer service agent from India suggested that I apply for a refund or keep waiting?!? DO NOT GIVE GAMESTOP YOUR MONEY!!

    Ordered a new Minecraft game for my grandson. Paid cash in the store at the time of the order. Instead of a new game, received a previously owned copy. Took back to local store where it was bought (Sumter, SC) for a refund and was told by manager that shipping chargers we never refunded! Said it was company policy and he "wasn't going to lose his job for $7 in shipping charges"! I told him that policy was just an excuse to say no! Told me to contact customer support! Never buying anything from GameStop again!

    BE AWARE. Gamestop has been ripping us off for years. The newest scam that I have unfolded is gamestop selling you used games as new. 4 out of the 6 gamestops I investigated have been passing off used games as brand new. The company will tell you they have the game new, but it is opened only to display the case. Gamestops return policy states that if you return a new game that has been opened, it is now considered used. But they can open a new game and sell it to you as new?

    I recently purchased several new games from gamestops around the area and placed a UV dye on them. I returned the games after a few days and had someone else go to the store and purchase them as new. The store tells them they are new and only removes the game to display the case. 4 of the gamestops we found had resold the used games with the UV dye as brand new. The stores and corporate will not comment on the issue and will not contact me via phone or email.

    I will encourage everyone out there not to fall for the open but new game trick from any gamestop. Only buy new games factory sealed. We will continue to UV dye as many newly purchased games as we can and post our findings on youtube and social media. Gamestop will be 3 steps ahead of us by checking all their games via UV light and wiping them down. Be sure that you are buying new factory sealed games and don't let them take advantage.

    I would give a 0 if I could. The only thing my 8-year-old wanted for his birthday, was a Wii U so I spent over $300 on the setup, received on Nov 1, his birthday was the 14th. He opened it on his birthday, we got it all set up this weekend for him to play only to find out it will not play any of the WiiU games we purchased. I called customers service this weekend and since it 3 days past the 14-day exchange policy, they won’t do anything about! Told me to take it to the store for an exchange credit. Exchange it for less than what I just purchased for… are you kidding!

    If I could rate GameStop negative zero I would. This is borderline fraud at this point. I ordered a digital gift card for a birthday gift and never received it. I called 4 times and I still never received it. BUT, don’t worry. They had no issue charging me for it. No one still had gotten back to me about this —-and still never received it. How hard is it to send an email? This is the worst retail experience I have ever experienced and I will NEVER purchase anything from GameStop again.

    I loved the products both times I ordered, but the products weren't the problem. My problem was the shipping and customer service. So, last year, I ordered three things, and though they were in different packages (for some reason), they had the same tracking information, but they didn't come in the same carriers when they arrived. I was unable to track the second package because of this, and when I called customer service, they couldn't give me an answer, and they simply told me to order it again, or get a refund. They ended up giving me the refund for the wrong item, after I told them specifically which items I hadn't recieved. Then, this year, I ordered a product that I needed so bad for the child in my house.

    The item fueled his obsession, and as a good big sister, I bought it. Well, it told me 1-3 days shipping, but it took an entire week just to be shipped by the place that had it, and another week just to come in, because they kept shipping it back and forth between mail carriers. I had believed it wasn't going to come in when it still hadn't been shipped, and so I went looking on the site to see if they had any of the product close, turns out they did, but this was after I looked only a few days prior, and they had nothing. I reached out to customer service to see why my package hadn't shipped yet, but I never recieved any response, literally nothing. Luckily, the product came, but I will NEVER order from GameStop.com again. If I ever need something, it will be inside of the store, never any other option, because the shipping and customer service is a huge joke.

    If I could give GameStop less than 0 stars I would. I purchased a digital gift card for my 12 year old grandson's birthday. It never arrived even though GameStop says it was delivered. 4 phone calls and 3 chats later - nothing. I did a chargeback but who knows if that'll even work. So, I have a disappointed Grandson and I'm currently out twice the gift card value - I sent him additional money via Venmo. GameStop rates only slightly behind xfinity in horrible customer service.

    I ordered some trading cards for my daughter's birthday present. I used the website cause my local GameStop wouldn't give me the sale price even though they had signs up. Well, I never received my package and now after a month of back and forth with them about it, they are refusing to help me. They basically told me it's not their problem, I never received my package. I've ordered thousands of $ worth of collectibles from them in the past year and never an issue. But the one time I do have an issue, they are unprofessional, slow, and lacking all empathy. I used to wonder why this company would be going downhill and now I know why. They don't value their customers. And now they have lost one for life. I won't shop in stores or online now, know that if you ever need their help, they don't care.

    They continue to lie to get customers to make online orders, I ordered a Ps5 to be delivered same day by 8 pm it said. 8 pm comes. I check my order. It still is at the store then it says if the courier wasn’t notified before the deadline it will be in the morning, they don’t open until 12 in the afternoon. This is the second time this has happened. And when you call to figure out why they lied about when my order will be shipped they never have any information. I clearly see why stores are closing and they deserve it. This is unacceptable.

    I don’t recommend buying pre-owned games online. I bought one, it was defective, I returned it, and they supposedly sent me another one, but it had the same problem. I called customer service for a refund, and on two occasions they told me I would receive by email the link to return the defective game. Even though they gave me the case ticket numbers, I'm still waiting.

    I purchased a Magic the Gathering Deck from GameStop.com. I got the wrong product and after going back to look at my order in the fine print it says it's random. So kind of my fault but instead of getting something worth the $50 I paid they gave me something worth $35 and won't let me return or exchange. No other company sells this product like this that's why I was deceived. They outsource customer service to India and are trained to give you the run around in an effort to get you to hang up rather than help. I will never buy from GameStop again. I wish I could get a refund on my Pro Membership as well.

    If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a used Playstation 4 back in December for my son's 9th Birthday. His birthday wasn't until January, so we never opened it until we gifted it to him for his birthday. Needless to say they sent us a system that clearly was defective and hadn't been inspected. The controller came with a charging cable that clearly wasn't an original one and seemingly from Dollar Tree or etc. We couldn't get the system to work correctly at all. I bought a new charging cable for remote because we thought it was remote. I finally took to Gamestop store to see if they could help us figure it out only to be told it was defective and it had been past 14 days so they couldn't a return.

    I contacted corporate for more help because it had been 14 days before he even had the chance to open the system. I ordered it in December because I've had issued before either FedEx and UPS deliveries been delayed or lost for weeks and I wanted to make sure I had it in time to give it as a birthday gift. I explained all that and they still wouldn't exchange the system. So, I've been stuck with a gaming system we haven't even been able to use and out of $200+ dollars. I'm a single mom just trying to give my kid some joy and they didn't even care. My son cried after we got the last response from Gamestop corporate office. We even bought games that he hasn't even played. The gaming system even wasn't boxed correctly according to the Gamestop in store associates. I'm so angry and disappointed at Gamestop that they would such a thing.

    I recently purchased an HDMI cable from a GameStop store. The staff member who assisted me was friendly and helpful, and assured me that I could return the cable if it did not meet my needs. However, when I attempted to return the cable approximately 30 minutes later, a different employee informed me that it could not be returned because the seal had been cut. I explained that I understood the store's policy on returning games, but that this was simply a standard HDMI cable. The employee refused to accept the return, stating that the store's policy is to not accept any item back once the box has been opened.

    When I asked how I was to know this policy, the employee pointed to a URL on the receipt. I did not see any clear signage in the store indicating this policy. While I understand that Massachusetts law does not require businesses to accept returns, however state law does require for businesses to clearly communicate their return policies to customers. Additionally, I am disappointed that the staff member who assisted me with the purchase did not accurately inform me of the return policy. As a result of this experience, I'll never shop at any GameStop again.

    It has taken 15 hrs with customer service, 9 separate phone calls, and 6 documented "miscommunications" where I was told something different than paypal (who I escalated case with). Was to get a refund for an order that was charged to my credit card that they said they had no record of. The situation is still not resolved. I will absolutely never purchase anything from Gamestop ever again. The first customer service person didn't even try to help, just said I had to absorb a loss of $120 because they couldn't find record of it, despite my offering documentation of the charge. I was hung up on when I asked to speak to a supervisor.

    I called paypal to report the issue. Two days later I received the order by express mail. When I called Gamestop to return it for a refund, they said it wasn't my order and the order was another customer's and to please take it to the nearest store ASAP so as not to inconvenience the other person. In the meantime, Gamestop reported my purchase delivered to paypal and my case was closed by them. I called Gamestop again when the store said I would not receive a refund and was told they would provide me with a FedEx label. They did not do so.

    I called paypal again to escalate and reopen the case. The next day, I called again, and this time, received the promised shipping label and paypal said the case was closed again in the merchant's favor. I sent the package back off, taking photos and documenting everything, even a signed statement from the FedEx person. Gamestop "never received" the order at the 10 day mark, despite the tracking number saying otherwise. Paypal says I cannot reopen the case because the merchant reports they've been compliant in providing both product and mailing label. Life is too short for this kind of drama. Never again.

    If you have to purchase a product from GameStop: then do it in a physical store. If you purchase it from their website: there is a chance that they won’t offer you a warranty, send you a product that will soon break, and then call you a liar over the customer service. I would not recommend GameStop.com, just purchase through Amazon or something.

    Took my items that they said would not price out in the system, have called multiple times to try and get the items back which has not gotten me any progress. They took about $200 in games, controllers, and a Pelican steering wheel. The store says, "Call 888#", they say call the store so emailed to get more of a run around to be told my escalation was closed as the items were traded which I explained no part was compensated for however several other items did not pull up so was told could not be bought. It was 15 min till close so was trying to be quick as they closed at 8 pm. Guy never said, "Do ya want these back, don't forget these items not bought or any such." Now they won't return or compensate for the items taken.

    I didn’t feel like writing it 5 times so this is the email I sent GameStop. Responded but won’t help. Neither will the customer service line. Done with GameStop for good. I just wanted to reach out because I'm really annoyed. I'm a lifetime customer and I had 2 experiences now at 2 different stores in Staten Island that really annoy me because I was robbed for 25$ from you guys who are a huge company. I went to Forest Avenue GameStop about 2-3 weeks ago and I sold them a Nintendo switch along with some games and a controller and a PS5 game. It was all 165$ and the employee who was working alone only gave me 145$ so 20 was stolen from me.

    Now I sold Stellar Blade at Staten Island mall for 14.25 cents when I argued the game is 19.25 and it clearly states that on the website. PLUS THIS GAME WAS NOT LIMITED EDITION, IT WAS STANDARD EDITION so I should have got the amount stated on the website. I spend so much money at your store that when I go to sell my items I should not be shorted money. I’m a pro member as well for years.

    I ordered two games for my older son whose birthday is coming up: (1) Kingdom Come and (2) Metroid Prime. I received a Fedex package today that contained only the first game. The second game was missing. I contacted GameStop, and their immediate response was that they performed an "investigation" and concluded that Fedex "delivered both games." I sent GameStop a few emails explaining that Fedex delivered the package, but the package was missing a game. GameStop customer service, which I suspect may be automated AI, continuously responded to me saying that I need to contact Fedex to file a claim because Fedex is stating that the order was delivered. This is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously, I contacted my credit card company and reported the fraud.

    Gamestop are just a bunch of thieves and crooks. They try every way possible to steal your money. You only have one number you can call for help and it's the worthless customer service. They stole $120 from my Grandson. He went to buy a specific game card. He had 2 Visa gift card, $50 each, a $20 GameStop gift card and some cash. After taking all the money for some reason they could not get the card he wanted to accept the money. They were able to give the cash back but he was told the district manager would have to get involved with refunding the gift card money. We were told that the District manager would call us within 48 hours. 4 days pass with no call.

    Call the customer service and did an escalation and it would take 7 days. No call. Called customer service and asked for a supervisor. She was horrible. No customer service skills whatsoever. She said it was 7 business days not just 7 days. I told her this has been going on for over a month. She said "Well you just escalated it." 7 business days pass no call. Call back and gave my name and they just hung up. Called back and they hung up on me again. They are just a bunch of crooks. There is no other number you can call but the customer service number. So they make it difficult to get any help. They just drag you into the ground until you just give up.

    This is one business that seems not to be accountable for the mistreatment. The customer service representative seem to hold the same concept. I made a large purchase for same name delivery. I waited here until 8pm as requested for same-day delivery. My order was never shipped. It was then ready for pick up, they stated that the carrier came to pick up my order and investigative research on my address. Decided not to deliver to my address stating that my order may be stolen. I have ordered before and orders received at this address with no problem. My building also has cameras. They initiated a return without my knowledge for that very reason. In reality, there is always a chance of an order being stolen however, delivery notification makes it easier to track to avoid it from being stolen. I’m the only one that seems to be at a loss, not them at all.

    It also seems that no matter how many reviews are posted of complaints nothing has done to resolve these issues. They seem to be making money regardless of customer dissatisfaction. We are all held by a law and if we do not adhere to the law then we are punished. However, there seems to be no punishment for their false statements and demonstrate Operating a business by a case by case basis living room for discrimination.

    If they are held accountable and find the customers do not receive restitution from company for time and money wasted. When they take it upon themselves to initiate a return, I have to wait to get your money back. I paid them right away and I expect to be paid back right away, especially since I never received my order. I rather try any other company than ever attempt to conduct business through a company like GameStop. It’s probably a money laundering company anyway, and that is probably the reason why they will never go out of business even with horrible reviews. I rather conduct business with the crackhead than GameStop.

    Purchased 3 games from Gamestop by mail since I don't drive anymore due to disabilities (for the 1st time) and 1 was defective and would not load, kept getting an error message. I contacted customer service and advised the representative what I experienced and would like a refund and he stated I would need to go to a local store for a refund but there could be a restocking fee since I opened the item (hello stupid. It's a DVD game. How can you not open it to use it) or I could send it via FedEx but I would need to pay for the return myself.     Hello, I am a long-time GameStop fan. I mean I've been going to GameStop for a good 7 years now and I really strongly believe that this will be my last year, the reason is that because GameStop you guys change your policies whenever you feel like it. You don't care about the customer. You are strictly for your own profit. No customer service, love or appreciation at all.

    So I went inside April 1st 2024 to my local GameStop in Chicago the backpack WERE 19.99. I said, "Oh my God. All I bought enough for was my new Xbox controller so let me just get the controller, let me go do an extra shift and come back tomorrow and buy the backpack." So I did just that APRIL- 2- 2024. When I go back the next day the backpack was 49.99.

    I went to my local STORE associate and told him, "Well what's going on" and he told me that corporate came that same night and decided that they wanted to raise the price on that backpack and they are allowed to because the rules change every day, not to mention the two headphones that I have still series 7x wireless and the arctics wireless that I have with two years of warranty and I can't even do a swap. It has to be for the exact same headphone refurbished, why would I receive a refurbished pair when I paid brand new price for my headphones, it makes exactly no sense.

    I would leave NO stars if I could. Was talked into renewing my membership in 2023 when I purchased my PS5 and was not told they've switched to AUTO-RENEWAL. Fast forward a year later and I see a charge on my banking app that I did not authorize so I dispute it. I Google Gamestop scam and see that I'm not the only one they got with this nonsense. They raised the rate on their membership by almost 100% and charged my account. When I called, I was told that the new auto-renewal process was in the terms and conditions all updates are available on their website (like I ever check their website) and offered to refund my money. Damage already done. Had to freeze my account, issue a new card from the bank, and update all the apps and companies I used that card for. I'll never buy ANYTHING from Gamestop again. Super sketchy.

    Gamestop has gotten worse and worse over the years. My most recent purchase attempt wound up with my account being charged 4 times, refunded only twice, and my account being locked. They leave you a customer service line to call when your account becomes locked only for the associate to tell me they cannot unlock my account so that was a complete waste of my time.     I ordered 2 Game Stop Steam digital gift cards for my grandsons on 12/25/2023 and I never received them. The cost was quickly charged to my credit card as a pending authorization. When 3 days had passed, I called, the rep was very nice, apologized and assured me that he would direct this to the right department so that they could remove the authorization hold. To date I have called 6 different times and no one from this company has done what they promised.     Ordered my son the FNAF Christmas edition figures on November 11th. They sent one by one until 2 were left. They said they were pending for availability. Finally after a month of this and calling customer service multiple times and trying to talk to someone that speaks English. I went to the local store. The young lady at the store helped out a lot. She said didn't understand why they are saying it's unavailable when there are multiple stores that show they had them. She did her best to get me the remaining two figures for the collection but only got one. So now because the online store couldn't do their job my son will not have the whole collection and they cancelled my order without my permission. I will never buy anything from online store again.

    Do not spend high dollar at GameStop. The store managers will tell you themselves, their policies can change any time, including their return policy. Policy changes apply to past purchases. You can buy an item while the return policy is 30 days, and the next day the policy can change to 15 days and applies to your purchase without you even knowing. Just plain bad business.

    I made an order from GameStop online for an e-gift card to be emailed to my son, a week ago. I ran it thru PayPal, for protection. He never received it, nor did I get any confirmation. However, the amount of the charge ($100) was credited from my bank account, thru PayPal. That money is still locked up because Gamestop, didn’t complete the order (even though they said they tried 3 times). The charge was approved by my bank and the money was put on hold. So, Gamestop has blamed everyone else (PayPal, my bank, and even me) and given me nothing but runaround.

    I have been working on this since last week and the best I have gotten, is a verbal that a request email to release the order (which gamestop cancelled last week) so PayPal can release it, so my bank can release the funds back to me. I had to do a 3 way call between GameStop, PayPal, and myself to get that much done, with the GameStop rep stonewalling us three times. I still do not have a resolution after five days of this, as the rep informed us that it could take 2+ weeks for them to do it and 3-5 business days just for a response to his email to request the reversal (if he even sent it). I am appalled at the level of service this company has given, how long they’ve been around and how big they are. My whole family (5 of us) will no longer be doing business with GameStop. They need to learn to take better care of their customers as our purchases pay their salaries. But I know that they don’t care about losing 5 customers. BUYERS BEWARE.

    We ordered two separate Christmas presents. The first came to the correct address. The second was inexplicably delivered to the wrong address in the wrong city. I called to correct the address and ask for a replacement. Nothing happened. I called again to ask for a replacement and double-check the address. They shipped a replacement, to the wrong address. I don't even understand how that is possible.

    I ordered a playstation at 9:33 am today, chose “same day delivery” option, paid for it, received a confirmation email stating “You will receive your order by 8 pm today”. Great! My child is sitting at the porch of the house waiting for delivery. For hours. In a cold. At 7:20 pm I called customer service. The guy told me that order has not shipped yet, and I have to wait 24 hours. When I asked him why my e-mail says: "You will receive your order by 8 pm today," he hung up on me. Simply hung up.     Got my delivery today with the incorrect items. Now GameStop wants me drive over an hour away to return the wrong item they sent.     Any Gamestop customers interested in joining a class action lawsuit? Gamestop advertises certain prices for iPhone trades and has no intention of actually paying prices given out on their site. Their pristine condition prices are unattainable as this was verified by multiple store employees. Then they also post a very good condition price and again it's not attainable as there pricing structure in the store does not even have a very good condition selection. GameStop has made it a practice to rob their customers blind and need to be held accountable.

    I purchased a refurbished PS4 from Gamestop – the SKU is 909275. I did not open it immediately. It was packaged with no absorbent protection in the box. The vents were packed with lint and the machine was dirty to say the least. The machine does not work. So poor, so poor....

    This is by far the BIGGEST joke of a company EVER! I placed an order online, the tracking is sayings it’s been delivered but I NEVER received it. I was told a refund would be made in 3-5 days after the claim, that I couldn’t get a replacement, but I never received it back. When I emailed, they told me I would have to file a claim with USPS unlike what I was told on the phone, which USPS is not allowing me to as I am not the sender. I am not understanding why I was lied to about being refunded, and why the order still hasn’t arrived.

    I always purchase in store, I am beyond disappointed this has happened with my first online order with GameStop. I had no idea GameStop done this to their customers! We have been completely ripped off $125, AND the items! Horrible customer service, they do NOT care about you, and lie to keep you from contacting them! Avoid at ALL COSTS! They have lost a customer who has spent at least hundreds just in the last few months in store. I will never support this company again. If the $125 is seriously that important, keep it!     I purchased three Funko Mandolorian boxes since they had the B2G1 offer. Paid 29.99 per box. Went home, my kid opened the boxes with pure excitement. I went on Gamestop.com to get more and noticed the price was 16.99 per box. I reached out to Gamestop corporate. They took 48hrs to reply and only did so after a follow up email. In a few words, corporate does not price match. Nor did they attempt to satisfy the customer. I went to a different GS store and explained what had transpired to the manager showing a photo of my receipt and the website price. He asked if the website stated that it was an online price. I showed him and it was not. He preceded to tell me that corporate is horrible and will never give money back once they already have it. I was not seeking a refund; I wanted the credit to go towards more boxes. Unfortunately, GameStop does not value its customers. They will be another brick and mortar that shutters in the years to come.

    I have used Gamestop in the past a few times. I even signed up for the pro membership. In January I received an email stating my email has been successfully changed. I never requested this. I reached out to Gamestop to recover my account. They told me the new email address on file but I never requested the change so I don't have access to the new email. I tried explaining this and no additional response. I've called multiple times and no one answers. I've waited on hold for 30+ minutes multiple times with no luck. I've reached out to corporate 4 days ago and no response. 3 months later and still no access to my account. IT SHOULD NOT BE THAT SIMPLE TO CHANGE YOUR EMAIL WITHOUT CONFIRMATION!

    GameStop sells advertised new Xbox games and instead sends opened clearance items. On new unopened games, they say they are returnable to stores, but the stores are not able to refund back as items are purchased on PayPal credit. When I went to a local store to get refunded, the clerk called the manager, who said OK to issue the refunds on my three items, until the clerk called back and told they were purchased with PayPal credit, for which the returns and refunds were then denied by the manager of the local store.

    Worst you can do is buying online. I placed an order using their App, 1-3 business days; It's been almost 15 days and still processing; Went to the store and they just want to get rid of you, they treat you like you asked something for free or you bought from a different store. I used the own gift card; after a week no news about the game you need to call their "customer services"..haa.. You wish they'd provide service. Seems like they needed my $75 gift card more than I needed. Nobody would reply your emails either. Stay away.. I wish I'd read this reviews in here first.

    I'm recording a review about GameStop.com. I ordered online a 128-gigabyte Meta Quest 2 and a 256-gigabyte Meta Quest 2. They overcharged me tax by about 2%, which is kind of a bit when you're ordering that much equipment. They sent me two 128-gigabyte Meta Quest 2 instead of a 128 and a 256, so that's a difference of about $120. They said they couldn't do partial refunds. They sent me a return receipt sticker thing so that I could send back the 256 that they sent me, which they never sent me so I couldn't do that. Then they tried to charge me for two more 256s on my account on a separate new account order and on my old order. So I called them and I finally got someone in America and they said, "Oh, no. Well, we'll change that," and so he fixed that for me. So that was one good thing that I didn't get charged for another two devices. When I disputed it with my credit card company, they disputed back and said that it was valid what they'd done. And even though I had showed that their warehouse stickers were from their warehouse, that they were for two 128s and did the calculations and everything else, they still want out, I guess. So that's why I'm complaining here 'cause they're kind of a bunch of scammers.

    They use stock photos so what you think you're getting is not always the case and there is no way of knowing. Then try to contact customer service and it just doesn't exist. Beware if ordering a game they will send it with no casing, then you may have to buy the case separately. That's bad business in my mind.

    This company is a bunch of scammers and should be shut down. They price gouge by raising prices on merchandise that was cheaper a year ago because it's old to now its price as new and also they give you very low for trade in value and then resell for 4 times the amount. When you question it they tell you they have no control over these issues

    I bought a used (mistake) PS4 259.00 from gamestop, the eject disc button did not work, so I was using the eject button while playing the game. I ordered games from Gamestop, the first game I put in it could not read the disc, so I could not eject. So I am stuck with a defective console from gamestop with a defective gamestop disc stuck inside it, am not able to return as it past 15 days I have had it. If they have verified the console worked prior to sending to me they have noticed the eject button did work. Scoundrels like this need put out of business.

    I repeat DO NOT SHOP ONLINE!! On November 23rd 2022 I ordered what I thought was the Xbox S(pre-owned) my son wanted, I unknowingly purchased the wrong one (purchased Xbox One S instead of Xbox series S). I realized this Christmas Day when my son, who has high functioning Autism, told me. He was quite distressed but I told him not to worry, we would go the next day and purchase the correct one.

    I couldn't have been more wrong! I was informed by our local Gamestop that since I hadn't purchased the extended warranty I was unable to exchange or return the gaming system, it needed to be within 7 days! I was appalled because this was a Christmas gift! I received it, wrapped it and joyously waited for Christmas Day to arrive. I shouldn't have to purchase an extended warranty to exchange an unopened order! My poor son lost it in the store, pacing and crying. My heart broke. ): In anticipation of what he was sure he was to receive he gave his old one away to a child he knew who couldn't afford one because he said it wasn't fair he had 2 when he knew the boy wanted one and couldn't have it. I'm a single parent myself (widowed), so I understood.

    I emailed corporate twice, NO RESPONSE! Called for DAYS on my lunch break and could NEVER get through (still trying). I'm saddened and appalled. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be able to exchange my item during the Christmas season. I feel let down and mislead. Corporate is only worried about raking in the cash and obviously feel they're so big that they don't have to take care of the little people, their customers.

    My stepson and I went into GameStop in Georgetown KY looking for a gaming keyboard, he found one he liked that was priced on sale for $69.99 regular price $99. It was on the top shelf so I ask for help with getting it down. The store manager came and pulled it from the shelf, looked at it and said, "Oh this isn’t the price," so I ask what is the price as he took it with him to the computer to scan it. He said the price is now $89.99! I expressed to him that it was priced at $69.99 and he should have to sell it to me at that price! As he was pealing the sticker off of it he said, "Sorry. That’s how it is. It’s on the top shelf!" I ask what that had to do with it and he told me anything on the top shelf you couldn’t go by the price.

    I never received my order, then it took five days just to get a response from customer service. They said they were going to send a replacement, but never did. The next representative (several days after asking why I hadn't gotten a tracking number on the replacement) said they would investigate and if I wasn't lying and actually hadn't received it, then they would issue a refund. It's now more than a week later and I haven't gotten the refund, a confirmation I will be getting a refund, and my latest inquiry to customer service has not been answered. I will never order from Gamestop again.

    I do not believe there is an actual customer service department. I have been trying to call for the last couple of weeks and have never reached an actual person (never have received a Game Informer issue after my last renewal 3 months ago). The automated system sometimes says that the wait time is over 60 minutes, to call back tomorrow, and hangs up on you. Other times, it will state the wait time is over 30 minutes. I have stayed on hold just to see how long it would take and have waited as long as 3 1/2 hours before finally giving up. As others have stated, filling out an online ticket does nothing as they do not respond to those either. What a complete joke. I have no idea how this is even legal. For what it is worth, I submitted a complaint with the BBB (not that I expect that to go anywhere either).

    A Gaming CD was purchased as NEW and a damaged USED CD was sent. Trying to get online Customer Service on a Monday and Thursday and both times I was given an automated response of there is over 60 minutes of wait time and to call back later in the week. So initiated a return online and using their Return To Store option. The store did not honor this and I had all the items requested of me. I was told by the Manager Dani in the Hyannis Massachusetts store that the stores get a "preference" to take online returns or not and that one doesn't take them. So I hate to pay $70 to learn a lesson but I did just that, Do Not Buy From Gamestop!

    I visited a Gamestop store in Wyomissing PA where they were having a sale and spent about 30 minutes shopping the sale. I then went to the register to check out with an excited kid only to be told that they were not going to honor the sale because it no longer existed and they had not gotten around to taking the sale signs down yet. They refused to give me the sale price and rung me up for regular price. I had to cancel the transaction and leave with an unhappy child. We went to Hot Topic since we had to pay full price because they treat us better there.

    Gamestop corporate decides they want to make things better by sending a small gift card. I use the gift card to buy an online item and have it delivered for the holiday but of course as expected, bad service again, the entire product is smashed inside the box. The outside FedEx box is fine but another incompetent employee at the warehouse decided they were going to throw a damaged item in the box for delivery. Now we have to waste time and gas again to get this product back to Gamestop which again leaves an unhappy child. What a disaster of a company.

    My wife purchased a PS4 from GameStop in Leeds, Alabama on Black Friday 2022. She was given a receipt and assumed in-store pickup since they had sold out and the sales associate ordered it for her. Two weeks later we began calling and was informed that the package was in-transit and shipped to our house. She was given a tracking number and no info could be given on what address it was shipped to. Two weeks before Christmas we now cannot get a refund or replacement order until a ticket is investigated which means they’re holding our money until they locate their package which is going to take 7-10 days. I sat on hold for 1 hour 18 mins before customer service answered and we then demanded a supervisor who would only do the same thing we could have done online which is create a ticket for an investigation.

    The store in Leeds, Al. now has another PS4 in store that he said he would sell us if we could get customer service to give us a credit but they couldn’t give us a credit and GabrielM. The supervisor denied us escalation to corporate. Found out the info they had for us is 7 years out of date and appears that they just took our money in Leeds but are holding it ransom until they find their lost package through USPS at the cost of my son’s Christmas. These people don’t another thought about us or their own reputation after they take your money because all I see is review after review of supposedly lost shipments. Sloppiest business I’ve ever seen from a reputable company!!! I will never shop here again and I hope they go bankrupt once again!!!

    I recently ordered 5 "NEW" games from Gamestop. Only ONE of them was truly new. The others not only were not shrink wrapped, but had visible damage to the covers, in some instances substantial damage. Some of the cases do not close properly. The games themselves were placed in a sleeve and someone wrote "new" on them - WHAT A JOKE! GAMESTOP IS A JOKE!     I ordered five new games online. When I opened my package, I discovered three of the five games opened with torn-off stickers on the cases. I waited almost an hour on the phone with Gamestop, and their response was "let me see if there is something we can do" like they never been through this before. Five minutes later he came back with a solution. He said they will do a shipping label to exchange the three games, and that it will take a few hours for my label to pop up in my email.

    The email eventually came up and it was for a return of all five games for a refund, instead of an exchange for three games. My wife spoke with them again about the issue and they gave her two options; either return all five games or find a store to return them to. I notified Gamestop service on Facebook Messenger and they responded the next day. I responded back in more detail about the used games but have not heard back from them since which would be 5-6 days ago.

    I decided to go ahead and return the three games back to a store. I showed them the games, explained my story and they attempted to explain to me that they typically pull new games from sleeves in the drawer and put them back in a box. I said I was aware of the practice but still would like to return the games as I deem them used when the shrink is removed (as any other typical retail store would).

    Well apparently so does Gamestop because they began to discuss how they have no way to prove that the games were new because the stickers were removed from them (I gave them the games in the exact condition how I found them in the package). Eventually he said he will look at the disks and determine that way. I was given a refund (except its been over 24 hours and still hasn't shown back up on my card yet) for the three games, however, the customer service was some of the worst I have seen from a well known retailer; not to mention some of the shadiest practices, too. I don't think I will ever shop from them again.

    I was buying an item online for someone’s birthday that is soon. The website advertised it as “In stock” and “free 1-3 day shipping”. After I ordered, the next day, I was informed it’s on back order and unavailable. Now I’m screwed.     I have been a long-time customer of GameStop, and don't appreciate the sales associate lying to me about getting fired because they weren't getting enough preorders, at the Lebanon, PA GameStop at 829 Bowman St, just to get me to preorder something that I didn't want. If the associate had simply accepted the fact that I didn't want to put anything on preorder, I wouldn't be writing this review. Sales associates shouldn't be pulling underhanded and shady stuff like this, just to get sales. It's basically forcing people into doing things they don't want to do or spending money they don't want to spend.

    In addition, the district manager is a disrespectful and arrogant individual, who will do whatever they can in order to stop customers from providing any feedback on the GameStop site. I thought this was in complete violation of consumer's rights to give feedback regarding service that any company provides, including companies in retail, hospitality and special interest companies like GameStop.

    I purchased a 49” external gaming monitor from Gamestop as it was a small discount to other retailers for similar monitors. On the day it was to arrive, I received an email canceling the order. When I called as to why it was canceled, they blamed it on American Express (which 100% did not cancel or prevent charges). knowing Gamestop was lying I said, "Fine I’ll use my visa." They refused to process the transaction. They said, "You can only buy it at the price on the website which was $150 higher." NEVER buy from these thieves! They should have their ability to sell revoked. They are disgusting for not honoring the price they sell at…I’m afraid to see what they do people on blue Monday. Oh sorry, it’s Tuesday?

    I ordered three PS5 games on 8-21-22 that were guaranteed to arrive by 8-25-22. On 8-29-22 I still had not received them and they were for a bday part on 8-27-22. I checked the tracking number provided and it said “package awaiting USPS pick up” which means it was still at the warehouse/store. I called customer service and the gentleman in fact told me that the package appears lost. I said, "It never left your facility.." He then told me my option is to have the games re-shipped or a refund. I asked when the games would arrive if I chose to have them re-shipped and could he expedite it for my inconvenience. He told me there was a 10 to 14 day investigation period And then another 7 to 10 business days to ship them after that so we’re talking almost a month.

I told him that said, "This is absurd business practices and I’ve already waited eight days (4 days past the promise date), missed the BDay party gift and now you want me to wait another month to receive the games for an error you guys made?" The customer service agent said “yes that’s correct”. I said, "This is my first time ever purchasing from GameStop online and it will be my last. Please refund my money." I would definitely steer clear from this place and stick with a more reputable well ran company online. This agent offered me no relief, no offer to speak a manager and simply no help at all.

    Buyer beware. I bought an item 3 months ago for same day delivery and the delivery driver stole the item. They were caught on video showing up to house and not delivering the item. Police report was done after showing video to police. Everything has been turned over to GameStop as they requested and they still have not returned my money. They keep saying investigation is not complete and call back in few days. This is a joke. Obviously the video was good to have a police report that driver didn't deliver item. I want my money.

    I purchased a Xbox hard drive for my consul. I paid over $1000 for the product. It was supposed to be delivered before Christmas 2021, yet it was never delivered. When I called, they stated that it was delivered to my address. I know that is not true because I have a ring doorbell and I check the video For the entire day that it was supposedly delivered. I contacted GameStop and they declined my request to get things resolved. They suggested that I called FedEx, but FedEx referred me back to GameStop. I called GameStop to let them know that, and they referred me back to FedEx. Essentially, GameStop store over $1000 from me and have not resolve the situation, and have made no effort to do so!

    I purchased a pre-owned PS4 in June for my son's birthday. Once he opened it we set it up and for about 4 days the unit would just shut down or restart. We thought it was due to updates until the last time it shut down and wouldn’t turn back on. I put in the claim and they said I had to mail it back and upon receipt of the unit they would send another. I sent it back which took about a week and waited for the new one which was also about a week. Open the box for the new one and could see it was broken. The cover of the console didn’t even sit on it properly and the power button didn’t work. How do you replace a broken unit with another broken unit.

    I called again and the only solution they offered was the same as the first time. I could send it back and they would send another unit when received. So we are talking two months, 300 dollars and still have no working PlayStation. They sent me a return email and said I could go to one of the stores and do it. I went to the MacArthur Rd store in PA and did the exchange. Had to pay another $38 for another warranty. Got the unit home. Guess What. Broken. Does not let you out games into it. It was also in Spanish with someone else’s account information. I don’t understand how you can do business this way. The worst company. I would never recommend purchasing anything from GameStop.

    I spent over $300 on an Oculus headset for my son's graduation. Thanks to the horrible delivery service they use CDL it's been a month & I have still not received the product. They had no issue billing me & taking my money but have yet to deliver my son's gift. Dealing with any human being is a joke and their automated trash emails telling you they are fixing or solving the issue have gone nowhere. I spoke with 1 very nice young lady who after 3 weeks processed a replacement request after the product was lost in shipment (again CDL is trash) & I am now waiting over a month for receive my product.

    Again, no issue whatsoever taking my money but can't simply get my son's Oculus headset. Trying to get any answers from anyone is like jumping through hoops. I will never ever purchase a single thing from Gamestop! This whole experience has me so disgusted.     I purchased a gaming headset for a gift from Gamestop about 2 weeks ago. I received a shipping notification and a day or two later I received an email letting me know my package had been delivered. This was around 8pm. Didn’t see any type of delivery happen. I reached out to GameStop the day after to let them know and the rep asked me if I wanted a refund or replacement. I chose a replacement and she told me she would get a replacement item shipped out with one day shipping. Well I got the order confirmation and everything.

    Within a couple days when I hadn’t received any shipping notifications I reached out again. This time the rep told me they had to do an investigation to find out where the package went and then they would send out a replacement. I was frustrated as it was already past the day I needed the headset for and the rep failed to mention they would need to do an investigation before shipping it out and the one day shipping they promised was moot. They told me the investigation would take about 5-7 business days and they would ship out a replacement then. Well it’s been more than 7 business days and no email or update. I chatted with another rep and she told me said it takes 7 business days.

    When I told her it had been that long she then proceeded to tell me it was going to take an additional 7-10 business days for more investigation! Are you kidding me? It’s not my fault the package was lost and now I’m waiting for an item I PAID for while they look into why the package never made it to my door. This company is totally incompetent and any rep I’ve talked to doesn’t even care about my issue. Why would you offer a replacement if the customer has to wait forever when they can just get a refund and repurchase the item and HOPEFULLY get it the next time? With the way I’ve been treated I’m not letting this go and I hope it saves people from going through the same thing I am. I’m never doing business again and I hope this gets resolved quickly.

    I ordered a PS4 Pro online through GameStop about 2 weeks ago for $430. For that amount of money, I thought I would be getting my money's worth, but I didn't. The PS4 couldn't connect to the internet because it was previously banned off of the network due to a previous customer. I took it to a GameStop store in town and they even said that they shouldn't have even shipped it since it doesn't work properly. I returned it through FedEx two days later and only got two emails about it being sent back and getting my replacement.

    I had just gotten my replacement today from GameStop, didn't get an email that it was coming. I started to boot the system up, get everything set up on there, tried to install a game via game disc, and it stopped around 450mb-500MB and wouldn't go any further. I tried a different game disc to see if it could've just been a problem with the disc but it was spotless with no scratches. Put in another disc and the same problem occurred. Tried digitally downloading a game and it was downloading more that the disc was. The disc sensor in the replacement is messed up. So I'm sending back another Ps4 and just getting my money back. I've bought numerous consoles from GameStop and been pretty pleased with the outcome except for these last two encounters. I'm disappointed that they failed not once, but two times now.

    Ordered an Xbox and controller - received only the controller which ended up being a refurbished barely working controller. Argued with GameStop for almost 3 weeks about not receiving my Xbox. Filed complaint with BBB and after multiple communications received email that order was being replaced. Replacement order was being shipped to an old address rather than the address I currently reside in and the address used for the original order. No response from GameStop through BBB about correction. FedEx would not let me change it due to shipper’s restrictions. Contacted GameStop via their chat and was told I could not change it. Called FedEx back and they said GameStop does have the power to change it. I guess they just choose not to.

    So my order is now going to an address that I no longer own nor reside in that is 363 miles from my current address. And GameStop’s only resolution was to recall the order (send back to warehouse) which they said will take 24-48 hours (delivery is less than 24 hours away at this point because they did “overnight shipping” that has taken 4 days because the order hadn’t made it to the shipping carrier). So I’m back at square one with GameStop. Will NEVER purchase another thing from GameStop.

    GameStop should be ashamed of itself for allowing Ontrac to deliver their packages, Ontrac is one of the worst delivery services I’ve ever seen. Ontrac is very incompetent and irresponsible. Package keeps getting delayed every business day, with no sign of this ever stopping. If you ever purchase anything from GameStop that will be sent using Ontrac, be prepared to either receive your package a month late, or never see it arrive.

    Just had the very worst experience with GameStop. We purchased a TV through them because it was supposed to come with $100 gift card (which was going to be a Christmas gift for my son.) The gift card never came. After multiple email exchanges with them over a 3 month process...and being told that I would receive a replacement electronic gift card...they just told me that the gift card was used (likely stolen).     I bought an XBox for my grandson on Christmas Day from Gamestop! Cancelled it immediately when I saw it was refurbished! Three days later it was on my porch anyway! I couldn't get them to pick it up no matter how many times I contacted customer service. They did nothing! I finally paid to ship it back myself. Called and gave them the tracking number 4 different times. It’s been over a month and the lies I have been told would astound you! Yet no refund. Some days I call they say they have the XBox and some days they don’t. Never seen anyone do business like this.     I ordered a refurbished iPhone 11 Pro Max for $700 which never arrived. After submitting a Lost in Transit form which according to their website, would take 7-10 business days, they never got back to me. I filed many follow-up emails and after much back and forth, 1 month and 1 week later, Kevin F from Gamestop said, "I was able to see that our team contacted you via email informing you that your refund/replacement request got denied; I am afraid that we cannot either process a replacement or a refund."

    I never received a single update from GameStop without me first reaching out. Now, they have essentially stolen $700 from me. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Absolute scammers. I am juggled around 20 different representatives, all of them taking no responsibility because their job is just to send some cordial email, and not actually solve the issue.     On November 24th I ordered a TV, my estimated delivery time was December 3rd. That day came and went and my tracking for it would no longer work. Stated waiting on Carrier. I waited until December 5th to even reach out because I know shipping can be terrible during the Black Friday season. They were no help. Said it was being investigated. Sent an Email to support on Dec 7th. That employee told me the system showed my order had delivered the day before, it definitely had not but I responded explaining that all to hear back from a different rep on Dec 13th telling me again it's under investigation. I should hear something in 24-48 hours.

    I called on the 10th before receiving the email back and got the run around again. I told them I want a refund!     I placed a order at with a representative at GameStop for two items for Christmas for my kids. The items delivered earlier than what she said because I never had tracking information to go off. I contacted GameStop to inquire about my order and was told it was delivered already on 12/18/21. I spoke with several people that ensured me I would receive refund or replacement and they had to wait for fedex to complete investigation.

    I spoke with fedex and was told no case or investigation had to made and the company needs to file a claim. When I call to confront the company I spoke with someone from a corporate switch board that claims it was a investigation done by them. I asked how you investigate something without fedex and he said I won’t get a refund and I asked to speak to a higher up and was hung up on.     Ordered 4 XBox One controllers. Three came in, one was lost by FedEx. Filed a refund request with Gamestop. They gave me the run-around and refused. Waited another week. Controller never was delivered. Called Gamestop again and told them FedEx doesn't know where it is. Asked to speak to a Supervisor - was denied, they wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. Requested return and refund. Gamestop said they had to investigate. I kept checking the tracking number. Finally found out FedEx delivered it back to the point of origin and got a signature from that warehouse (Kentucky, I live in California).     I am juggled around by representatives at GameStop via email for over a month since I ordered the item. My iPhone Pro Max 11 was supposed to arrive on the 2nd of December. FedEx tracking said the item was delivered but I never received the item. I waited three days as suggested by GameStop before filing a "Lost in Transit" form. So I called the store asked why it wasn't held. Somebody else bought it already. Okay. I got to the store to buy another. That game was in stock. I asked to cancel the game in order.     I ordered two games on Dec 6 as a gift. They were to be shipped to an Ontario city from Brampton Ontario. They ended up in Calgary on Dec 13. One week later Dec 20 Purolator had no update. I had also send 2 requests to customer service at GS and no replies. So I called CS at GameStop. After a 40 minute wait on hold I was told they had no update but it could possibly be moving back to Ontario on the 21st. I informed them Puro had just told me they had no update. I told the GS CS person I need an answer by 12 on the 21st or I would prefer they cancel. The CS person told they were busy in the morning but would try to call back.

    On the 21 no word from GS but Puro advised it was out for delivery. At 11.30 am the parcel was delivered and then 2 minutes later taken back by Puro. GS had cancelled the order. No advice from them, no phone call, they did not check Puro to see it was being delivered. If you try to call their GS CS expect to wait 40 minutes on hold or they don't take the call at all. Amazed they are still in business online. Re ordered the games from Amazon for next day delivery. So much for supporting a Canadian company.

    I ordered a pre-owned PS4 controller because I accidentally spilt water on my mine which made it not hold a charge. I was excited to find that gamestop had pre-owned ones that were slightly cheaper since things are tighter around Christmas. I received my controller today and I'm not happy. The controller won't turn on, at all I tried hooking it up and resetting it and everything else, but it will not turn on. The controller has scratches and dings in it (I've had mine for 2 years with no markings so dude must've been mad). The D-pad is super sticky and the options button can't even be pressed, it's stuck. I spent $60 and pretty much wasted it. I've sent them an email so hopefully it will be fixed, but it's ridiculous that it was sent to begin with.

    BUYER BEWARE!!!! I ordered the Xbox Series X from GameStop on 11-2-2021 FOR $421.71 fully loaded, and they GUARANTEED that the delivery date would be within 2 days. When it didn't arrive by the 11-6-21, I called in to find out why. They gave me some game points and ask me to give it another 2 days. I reluctantly agreed and waited the extra days. When it still didn't arrive by 11-8-2021 I called the FedEx company to see if it had gotten lost and Fedex informed me that the sender (Gamestop) had not scheduled a pick for the item. I immediately called Gamestop and cancelled my order on 11-8-2021 only for them to tell me that the refund process had to be approved by the corporate office and the process would take 5-7 business days to process. I was Furious! Gamestop not only lied about the GUARANTEED 2 day delivery but there was never any mention about having to get a approval for a refund for products not delivered to a customer.

    Be that as it may, I waited the 5-7 business days for the refund of $421.71. Now here it is 11-17-21 and no refund. I called Gamestop and demanded a full refund of my money of $421.71. The agent informed me that the original request to cancel my order and issue a full refund was never answered and he would have to request it again! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Now I have to wait another 5-7 business days for my refund of $421.71! Stay away from Gamestop! They will tell you anything to get your money and they will not deliver on the guaranteed delivery date! They only want your money. They will lie to you about the delivery date and try not to refund your money back to you. STAY AWAY!

    DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR MONEY. These guys sold me a double switch card code. I purchased a $70 card and when I went to redeem it. It says it's already redeemed. When I emailed them they played like they couldn't do anything so I contacted Nintendo and after a review of my account and my switch serial code it was discovered that it was a double code. Either online or in the store the employees and the company itself is a giant problem. I have not shopped Gamestop in 3 years and for some reason I tried them again and this happens.

    Honestly I can't wait for Gamestop to be like Block Buster...gone. If you value your hard earned money and do not like scams then stay away from Gamestop. The company is a giant scam. We have all returned games to gamestop. They lowball and then resale for twice they paid for a game. Just an inside as well the "refurbished" consoles are just fixed with a band aid essentially.     I had a HORRIBLE experience with purchasing this game online. When I opened the package, a black piece of tape was coming off the corner of the box. After removing the black tape, the label said, "Return To WH, Defective." After 7 tries of loading this game, it was indeed defective! After spending 16 mins with customer service, the gentleman said AFTER I return the game, then the warehouse will send a replacement. After a confusing exchange of finding out HOW to return the defective game that was shipped as such, he said I can take it to any Gamestop with the return slip from the packaging. He said they MUST take the return. Or, I can go to Fedex. Asking the gentleman on the phone for clarification, he said I could check the instructions online. BUT I WAS CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THIS!!! The call ended with him saying that the replacement will be shipped after the warehouse gets the return.

    Since there was no Fedex open, I first called the Hamilton Marketplace Gamestop in NJ. The lady said she can take the exchange and get me a replacement. I was under the impression that she could exchange it then and there. Another confusing miscommunication. As I got into the Hamilton Marketplace, NJ Gamestop, the lady serving me said I needed to pay $3 shipping. She also started saying something about me having to buy the game a second time, she doesn't control the shipping, somebody at the warehouse was lazy, etc. HUH!??? After going back and forth for several minutes in a confusing conversation on what needs to be done to get me a working game, the lady said I should call customer service. And I did call... in front of her, and her associate while on speakerphone.

    This 10 minute call in front of the sale associates was also confusing. After explaining the situation again, the lady on the phone said the store must take the game back. This was after being told that I needed to take it to FedEx, though the gentleman an hour prior said any store MUST take the game back. After expressing my confusion and concern that I was NOT going to get a replacement after all this hassle, the lady on the phone then said that I had a replacement order already put in and DON'T need to even return the game. Huh?!!! I insisted that I return the game while on the line as I asked if I should video record this transaction as proof to be on the safe side. After a little back-and-forth, the customer service lady on the phone gave me a reference number. I thanked the lady on the phone and the 2 sales associated despite being incredibly inconvenienced and agitated by the whole situation. I took a photo of the game just in case.

    One positive is that I did get an apology for the mistake of shipping a defective game. This was a horrible experience as we were supposed to celebrate a birthday night by playing this game as a family. The hassle has prompted me to not use Gamestop online ordering. I will be informing all online family and friends of this HORRIBLE experience.

Gamestop very apologetic ships out another via Fedex again, ensuring I will get my order! Fedex loses again! Gamestop then cancels my order & refunds my $. Hello...at this point, I don't want my $. I placed an order and it should be fulfilled, even if I have to be placed on a backorder status! Gamestop will not do this for XBox, PS5 etc. Why? I should not have to wait months again and wait online to beat these bots when I fairly placed an order and Gamestop & Fedex messed up not once, but twice on my order! This should be an embarrassment for Gamestop and they should do everything in their power to ensure they make it right. That is real customer service!

    I bought a refurbished PS4 from GameStop for my brother's birthday. Within 2 months it stopped turning on. After a lot of pushing they finally agreed to replace the PS4 if he sent the broken one back. Within 4 months the replacement one has also broken. 2 broken consoles within 6 months is unacceptable and GameStop refused to help me saying it's outside of their 30 day window.     Hello reader! I must admit, I grew up on video games. When my dad gave me the original Nintendo for Christmas, in 198 whatever, I was a changed little ape. I lost touch with video games and my roots a few years back. I would buy a game, only to be disappointed. Then, about a year ago now, my friend Keith gave me this hot tip (intended) that I should look at the stock again, and my position as a whole as a consumer. I cannot tell you how many positive experiences I have had in GameStop since. Most of them you would not believe anyway, but the customer service is clearly top priority.

Each time that I purchased these cards, I observed gifted salesmen, and women, offer some of the most superb customer service; I often wonder how I can inject these principles into those that I lead directly. I learned quickly how to do this... Buy, Hodl, and DRS with ComputerShare. Company fundamentals, stock price? Debt? Leadership and executive staff? I challenge any reader of this review to do an independent study, (with sources) and prove me wrong. Prove the banana wrong! You just cannot.

    It sucks. They never have consoles at store. You have to order whatever you want. Never in stock and when you get a chance to order it it keeps delaying. It takes like 2-3 weeks to get there and they say it's gonna be at your house the day after the purchase. Trust me don't go. It sucksss!!!!

    Gamestop do not practice covid-19 measures. So I purchased a pre owned system for my kids from game stop. I must say I'm truly disappointed that game stop do not have safety measures in place due to covid-19. The game console that I received was extremely dirty. There was a layer of filth on the system when I wiped it with disinfectant wipes they turn brown. I will never purchased anything from this company again. If I didn't open the package first my kids would have been subjected to such filth. Which could have created a terrible situation. I called. Customer service seems not to care so I'm completely done with this company.

    Gamestop never has anything in stock, they have a fair amount of used games marked up to the point where you can buy the new game for about $4-6 more. They never have any Xbox one controllers. I've checked 4 different stores in my area - everything is either not available or out of stock. That includes the preowned stuff. You're a store that sells consoles and accessories...ever tried actually having those products in your store? Highly annoying going to your useless website to buy something and you literally have NOTHING available or in stock. It's sad calling yourself a game store and the local Walmart has a better selection Jesus smh. Trying to find my son a new xbox controller for his birthday and you have nothing available... Thank god for Amazon and 2 day shipping.

    My account was hacked and my address has been changed in their system. I placed an order and entered my own address, but it reverted to the hacked address when I placed the order. I waited 50 minutes on the phone for customer service with no answer. Also someone has been stealing my points even after changing my password with no way of blocking the hacker from stealing any future points that I earn on purchases in-store.

    I called on Tuesday 6/29/2021, regarding my Xbox Controller Series 1. It was starting to have stick drift and the left bumper broke. I tried going into a physical store and was advised they have none and to keep coming back to see if there is a replacement. When I went last time, the employee offered me to upgrade to the Series 2 controller for a small difference. So I called and spoke with an agent and told me that she will fill a form out and will call me back within 48 hours because they weren't able to locate my information (never heard back, shocker).

    So I called and spoke with the same agent and advised of the same situation. I asked to see if I can upgrade and the agent advises no, I speak with Kyle (supervisor) and you know what he offers, if the physical store offered that, then I should go to a physical store.... GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The replacement policy is so stupid, who is going to go to a store everyday to see if they have a controller in stock. Never buying a controller or anything from GameStop. When asking about the address of the replacement controller, Kyle the Supervisor advises that once I get a tracking number, to call GameStop so they can re-route the package to the correct address. THAT IS SO DUMB and how can your system not allow you to update the address. Horrible experience ever.

    On Monday, February 15, 2021, I pre-ordered the Funko Pop Godzilla vs Kong 10" action figure ($37.72) and, shortly thereafter, I received a confirmation email thanking me for my purchase. On Sunday, May 23, 2021, I received an email stating, "To ensure you get your order on time, please review your payment and billing information with us." I reviewed the email and realized the credit card I used at the time I placed the order had expired so, on Monday, May 24, 2021, I contacted customer service to provide updated information.

    The first person I spoke with redirected me to call the corporate number as he did not have access to change the payment. I immediately called the corporate number and was told she could not accept my payment information because she was working remotely from home. She placed me on hold and, after several minutes, returned to retract her original statement and take my credit card information. She assured me the order would be processed, which I should receive around May 29, 2021, and I would also receive an email confirming that my order was processed. I never received that email.

    On Monday, June 1, 2021, I attempted to track my order via the GameStop website. Despite having the order confirmation number and the other required information (my name and zip code), I received an error code, "Sorry this order number or email or zip code does not match our records." I contacted customer service via their "Chat" option and "Walter" advised he could not help me and I would need to call 1-800-883-8895. I've been on hold for 1:51:08 and have yet to hear from an actual person. I have since found this item online (available for pick up next week and at $30.71) and will not be shopping at GameStop.

    I have traded in games at Gamestop several times in the past without issue, however my recent experience (April 2021) was terrible. I brought 4 games in with good trade in values retrieved from their website. First the clerk told me they weren't taking those games cause they were too old. I told him I had received an offer from their website for every game which he then proceeded to scan them all. Then he told me he could take 3 of the 4 at which time I told him the one he was excluding was the one with the highest offer on their website. At that point he looked it up again, found it and added it.

    When I told him I wanted the cash value instead of trade in he told me there wasn't a cash value for any of those games; again I informed him the website had cash values for all of them and suddenly he had a cash offer. The offer was less than half what the online offer was which was when I noticed he added on a 4 dollar 'defective game' fee for each disk. He claimed they were all scratched which was a complete lie all 4 disks were spotless. His answer was he could feel scratches on them with his fingernail and that you don't visually inspect the disk you must run your fingernail over them (bull).

    Once he said this I remembered watching him sit there running his fingernail all over each disk. Either way this was ** because the disks were in mint condition. The other discrepancy was the offer he gave me was still 6 dollars lower than their online offer even if you subtracted all the 4 dollar fees. I ended up taking them back and will never go to Gamestop again. The way they conduct their trade in business was always a borderline ripoff, however now it's just plain robbery.

    Have contacted customer service 4 times. Was promised a refund 3 weeks ago. Called back and was promised a callback from a manager within 48 hours, which never happened. Was then promised an email within 24 hours showing refund/s would be issued, so I would have proof to dispute if they do not follow through. Called again today and was promised an email proving a credit was issued. Thus far no one has followed through with any of the promised actions.

    On 3/26/21 I ordered the Nintendo Switch Monster Hunter Deluxe Edition. I received a confirmation email thanking me for my purchase. On 4/5/21 I still had not received and shipping confirmation so I called customer service who told me my order did not show up in any system and directed me to call the corporate number. I called the corporate number and was informed that my order was not processed, assured me that it was going pushed through and I would receive an email in 24 hours confirming that my order was processed. I never received that email so on 4/7/21 I called corporate again and started the process again. This time I was told that my order was canceled because of a problem with my card and I would have to place my order again with a different card which I can't because they are now sold out.

    This sounded suspicious so I called my bank and found out that on 3/26/21 my bank had received the request for the total amount and approved the purchase. My bank never received another request for the same amount on 4/5 or 4/6. This tells me that GameStop canceled my order on purpose and lied to me about the "problem with my card". This is very upsetting and really makes me wonder why I would continue to spend money with a company that does this kind of thing to their customers.

    I recently ordered a PS4 bundle. The disc drive did not work. It would not eject the disc. I chatted online with an agent who said a good option would be to take the console to a local Game Stop store and let them do the exchange. She said that all I should need to bring is the broken console (no cables or controller). When I drove to the store, they said that they had no PS4 consoles in stock. They said there were no stores in 100 miles that did. And they said there were none available online to do the exchange.

    After some searching, he said that the option would be to exchange the console for a console from a different, more expensive bundle. So I had to pay $80 additional dollars to get a console replaced because Gamestop sent me a broken one. Furthermore he said I would need to bring in the controller and all the cables that went with the console. So I had to drive back home, get them, and come back. The game I had was stuck in the console, so he gave me a small refund for that which reduced the amount to $61. I would have rather just kept the game, but he said he couldn't retrieve it. I don't understand why 1) Gamestop clearly did not do QA to see if they were selling a working console, 2) They had no way to replace the product without charging me substantially more and making me spend a lot of time working on a solution.

    I wanted to write you and tell you how grateful I am for one of your employees, Rafael. Rafael went above and beyond customer care in that he was sooo incredibly thoughtful and stayed on top of my situation and resolved it excellently. In short, here was my situation — I had initially purchased a 3DS Nintendo game console that never worked. Needless to say, my 9 year old nephew, for whom this was destined for, was so disappointed. That said, after several failed attempts to reach anyone at Gamestop, I finally wrote to your CEO and CFO. Wonderfully, Rafael was assigned to my case.

    I cannot say enough good things about Rafael. He stayed on top of my problem, eventually found a wonderful game console, and well, I now have such a happy nephew! In these COVID homebound times… these consoles really become so important for kids… It gives them other worlds (environments… safe from COVID) to play in. As I write this to you, my nephew is playing with the console and I can hear him laughing out loud. That makes me sooo happy!

    All of that said, Raphael was just so kind, courteous, thoughtful and found me a wonderful replacement. I am a very happy Gamestop customer now… Your customer care is superb… because Raphael did a superb job. I will certainly tell my friends and family about your great products… and even more so, your great customer care… You really do care! Five stars for Raphael and Gamestop!

    On December 12 I placed an order through GameStop for an Xbox bundle. I received a confirmation email from PayPal that the funds have been taken away from my account however they would not be distributed to GameStop until the product was in my hands and the transaction was complete. To my dismay I never received a confirmation email from GameStop therefore I made a phone call and found out that the item was canceled the same day that I ordered it. I was fine with the fact that the order had been canceled due to the fact that it’s in high demand however what followed next was a tremendous does justice to anybody.

    I was told my funds will be back in my account within three days and that they were just on hold, however what I found out was the funds are on hold but have been released to GameStop. After making several phone calls to both GameStop and PayPal and getting the runaround I finally had this transaction escalated and was told that PayPal had released the funds to GameStop and that it was GameStop that needed to cancel the transaction on their rent to their PayPal account.

    After four phone calls to GameStop I got the exact same song and dance from every level that I approached. I am now almost a month into a fail transaction and still get the same song and dance from GameStop and PayPal. Is it so hard to understand that if you pay for services and the services are not rendered that the customer should get a refund. I should not have to wait 30 days for it to fall off because somebody can’t take action. I’ve been fuming over this for the last several days. And now I will begin writing negative reviews on both my experience with GameStop and PayPal. I work for a very large company and if we had acted in this manner to our customers head would’ve rolled, jobs would’ve been lost, and a customer Would have been taken care of. This is unacceptable and in this day and age should never happen to anybody.

    Ordered three items that were said to be shipping on the 10th with a delivery by the 17th. This is what I've dealt with since then trying to find out what's going on (since USPS is still awaiting the package as of the 23rd): I have called their customer service number several times in the past week and been told different things every time. Straight-out LIED to, told I was being transferred to a supervisor and not been, or wait with the phone ringing for 20 minutes with no answer before it just hung up. I have spent HOURS holding, been told a supervisor would return my call and never did. This last time I was told I would be transferred to the escalation team only to be transferred to some x-rated phone sex number.

    I have wasted hours of my time with their customer service department being transferred from person to person with no one able to help. I was told I'd have these items by the 17th, then on the 19th I was told it was shipping that day and I'd definitely have them by the 21st. When that didn't happen I called on the 21st and was told a supervisor would call by Tuesday. NEVER HAPPENED. These are Christmas presents that are obviously not going to be here by Christmas and I've been trying for a WEEK now to get someone to get this resolved so I'd get them in time (and now it's too late because not one person was honest and everyone just transferred me to someone else who couldn't help).

    I ordered 2 Nintendo Switch games of December 8th, 2020 and requested same day delivery. The items were delivered to the wrong address, I immediately called the driver who told me to check my neighbors mailbox because he didn't know where he left it. I called customer service. I was told I would receive an email within 48 to 72 hours. Never happened.

    I've called back 6 times. Waited on hold for an hour each time and got the run around each time. The last item I was told to contact the store the order originated from so being desperate to resolve the issue I did. The store told me there was nothing they could do and I had to contact the courier and they had to purchase the items and then they would be sent. Insane!!!! If that wasn't enough I ordered replacements on the website because I needed them for Christmas and paid for expedited shipping and I still have not received them! So I've now paid for 4 games and received 0!! The worst customer service ever!!!!

    Ordered a Switch online. Paid for express shipping. Didn’t come in specified time frame. They said it was still in on time?? Sent me confirmation email the total being the same with the shipping included, but in the shipping section of the email it said FREE and the total clearly adds up to the cost with shipping? Not sure if anyone else also checked after you made an order this year, no expedited shipping was an option after your first order. I went on the day after my order and express shipping wasn’t an option anymore. So Gamestop knew the game they were playing and that shipping wasn’t going to be timely.

    Also how can you legally send me the total of an order and all of the math is wrong? Saying the shipping is free but then just tacking on the price of it in the total because it’s four hundred dollars anyways?? The price is listed in my initial email but then the second confirmation one you say I didn’t pay for shipping and it’s ‘free’ yet.... the cost is still the same :D I’ll be taking my business anywhere but gamestop from now on. This is clearly just another capitalistic, ** man owned, money hungry business that will do every last scheme they can to get more money and take advantages of employees and its customers.

    I placed an order with GameStop on 12/11/20. I paid extra for 2 day shipping. Upon ordering my item the expected arrival date stated by GameStop was between 12/16-12/18 if I paid for 2 day shipping, so I paid for the extra 2 day shipping. I received email confirmation on 12/15/20 that stated my package would arrive by 12/18/20 but it is “Awaiting Carrier Pickup”. I called GameStop on 12/18/20 to verify that my item was coming and she confirmed that it would be arriving “today”.

    Well it is now 12/19/20 and no package and status still reads “awaiting carrier pickup” but the expected arrival date has been removed. So I call GameStop customer service only to find out she is unable to track my item but it doesn’t seem to be missing so we cannot refund you but advised me to call FedEx to see what they can do. FedEx states that all requests need to be made but the shipper and cannot assist. Long story short GameStop has not shipped my item and they have no idea why it hasn’t shipped. Customer service has sent a message to the warehouse and I need to call back, seriously you should be calling me back?!?! If you can’t fulfill my order either refund my money or find out what is going on. GameStop customer service is the worst! They do not give a crap about their customers. This will be the first and the last item I order from GameStop!

    DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM GAMESTOP ONLINE. They clearly cannot handle running a storefront and will absolutely rip you off and/or botch your order! I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM GAMESTOP ONLINE. The last straw for me was an order I put in five days ago that they shipped to an address ON THE OTHER COAST of the US. These were to be Christmas gifts for my kids delivered to my residence in Northern California. Gamestop decided I didn't know my own address and shipped to a lucky recipient of free PS4 games in Ocala, Florida. Then I had to fight a customer service rep for a refund that I'll get after Christmas, and my kids are out their gifts. Let this horrible company die and spend your money elsewhere.     I ordered Nintendo Switch Lite Gray on Dec. 14 Monday with paying extra for 2 day shipping. I was so excited I paid for a game and a cover/protection at a store before I ordered my Nintendo Switch Lite Gray. I have been coming to Gamestop for more than a 15 years which I had a good history. Later on Dec. 14 Monday I got my bonus $10 gift card by email with a partial shipped status. I used it the next day Dec. 15 Tuesday just fine at the store. On Dec. 16 Wednesday like 2am I get an email saying that my Nintendo Switch Lite Gray would be shipped soon. I thought they would be shipped within like 2 to 4 hours. Expected delivery of Dec. 17 Thursday.

    It's Dec. 16 Wednesday 11:00pm and still the shipping status says partial shipped. Also on Dec. 15 morning is that my 1 year warranty I bought extra says it will be shipped in 24 hours. Which it's passed Dec. 16 morning 24 hours. So if I have 2 day shipping they should of shipped it on Dec. 15 Tuesday to get it to me by Dec. 17 Thursday. Well it's Dec. 16 Wednesday and they have not shipped my Nintendo Switch Lite Gray yet.

    Finally, I read online all these reviews of shipping issues and customer issue! I am scared and not know what to do if I don't get my Nintendo Switch Lite Gray, wrong product, defective, or/and they steal my money!!! I give them 1 star because I got my $10 off gamestop gift online card and it worked fine. I just wish I had read all these reviews before I made my screw up mistake to order from Gamestop. I am hoping and praying I am not screwed! Now it's Dec. 17 Thursday. That is expected to be delivered to me and still have not shipped!

    I ordered some games from online. They duplicated the tracking/shipping order and FedEx sent the games to the original address of that tracking number. Somebody in Guest Services called and canceled the original order. Refunded my shipping, then said he is sending the package overnight - where it sits 6 days later at the warehouse. Now they are telling me I returned the items and have to wait until they receive them. Ridiculous. Do not order for shipping. I need a new game supplier.

    I have never written a review (positive or negative) about a company before, which should give you an idea of how bad this has gotten. I have had three separate significant issues with ordering online from Gamestop, and I'm done with them. The first problem was when I placed an order for five items. I immediately received a notification that the delivery would have to be split into two packages, which I understand. No problem. A couple of days later, four of the items arrive without issue; the following day, I get a package with the exact same four items. I called customer support, and they told me to keep the duplicate package free of charge, but they then cancelled the fifth item without telling me.

    Issue two: I have accumulated over 15,000 power up rewards points ($15 worth); for almost two weeks I tried redeeming them online with no luck. I finally called customer support, and they told me there was a technical issue with my account (when I asked what it was, they had no idea) and that I would have to open a new account with a new email and that my points would be transferred over within a few hours. I've been in contact with customer support almost every day since then, as the points were never transferred, and I literally get the same set of verbatim responses about how the previous tech made a mistake and that they've notified their supervisor and how they take customer complaints seriously. The last response I received from them on that issue was yesterday, in which they told me I'd have to wait at least seven more days for the issue to clear up.

    Most recently, I tried placing an order to get a couple of early Christmas gifts for my family. My address on file is a PO Box, which hasn't been too much of an issue in the past as GameStop always sent my items through UPS. However, this time they chose for some reason to use FedEx... which doesn't deliver to post offices.

    I called FedEx, who were baffled by GameStop's stupidity, where I was told that all that needed to be done was for someone at GameStop to lift a restriction they had placed on the order and request it be rerouted. The rep at GameStop refused to do so. Instead, he told me that FedEx would most likely return the package, at which time I would have to wait 7 days to receive an issue. However, since I paid for most of the order with a gift card which I no longer have, they won't be able to return my money. I full well realize I should have stopped after the first screw up, and DEFINITELY should have stopped after the second, but I'm now out over $100 that I have a very strong feeling I'll never see again.

    Not much into all this gaming and electronics but my grand kids are addicted to it. Got online to buy Mario Kart Live home circuit. Found out on 10/19/20 everyone was out of stock everywhere except people selling the Item for on Market place for 50% mark up. There is a local Gamestop here close to where I live. What the heck. I gave it a shot. Front door had Mario Kart on it and went inside and a very nice display with Mario and Luigi Karts were set up. Only one person was there but very nice and very helpful. So I popped the ? "Do you have any Mario Kart lives in stock." OMG he said yes!!!. Asked if he had Luigi and that answer was no. :( I asked if he had another Mario and that answer was yes. I walk out of the store with 2 Mario Kart at suggested retail. WOW.

    We did talk about online. He said they were have issues for several days. So the next day I got online again searching for Luigi Kart and tried Gamestop again. OMG I bought a Luigi Kart at suggested Retail on 10/20/20. It was delivered on 10/22/20. Store was very clean. Nice staff. A pleasure to go in their store. Highly recommend this store.

    Pre Ordered several items. Had a problem with a payment option. Was given 40 hours to update or lose my order. First their order part wouldn't update. Then I spent hours trying to talk to people. No one was available. Then they gave me the, "We need to talk to another department." Only to come back with an old shipping conformation from an old order months old. I called back to find out they gave my order away before the 40 hours was up and my payment had been restored. I will not be giving them my business and since their customer service has declined so baldly I hope they go out of business and make room for new gaming companies. Will not be purchasing my PS5 from them.

    Don't trust Gamestop. They use the Pandemic to ignore their customers. They don't answer emails or the phone and don't treat their customers right! Buyer Beware! They did not add my warranty at check with a refurbished game system. They did not respond to my emails.     Purchased a PS4 Controller online and received it in a reasonable amount of time, but, upon its arrival, I quickly realized that it didn't work. I emailed multiple times and never got a response, and when I called, the Customer Service Representative had a horrible attitude and was attempting to convince me that I didn't need to return the item. After arguing with her, I eventually got a return label. Two and a Half weeks after it arrived back at the given location, I was refunded only part of what I paid. I tried to call about this twice and was either hung up on or the call magically dropped, on their end, as soon as I'd finish explaining the scenario.

    Accidentally placed a duplicate order. When I reached out to the company to correct, they gave me bad directions on correcting the issue. I refused delivery of the item, so it could be returned to sender for my refund as directed by Gamestop customer service. It has been approximately 1 1/2 months of calling and emailing with no refund in sight. I have filed with Better Business Bureau. Be warned, this company doesn't care.

    We ordered a gaming computer for my son for his birthday through Gamestop online. We ordered on May 6th and it said it would arrive on 13th and his b.day was 18th so we thought that would work out great. NO WAY...Today is the 21st and still haven't gotten it. Instead we keep getting e-mails saying there are errors and every time we call no one knows what's going on BUT the money came off our credit card so apparently we are going to have to cancel and go somewhere else.

    Ordered 4 digital gift cards for 4 recipients. 24 hours later no one received anything. I called. Waited 1hr 27 minutes to be informed that all four gift cards were sent to one recipient. They would correct this within 24 hours by sending a report to the person who could resolve the issue, by that time one of the gift recipients may have received a gift card amounting in all 4 and would begin spending it for their family, to have it revoked to be given to the other 3 recipients. When I asked to speak to the person who could resolve the issue, I was transferred to a line that required an extension that was not provided to me and was disconnected.

    I wish I could give them a ZERO!!! GameStop severely messed up my preorder but also has been avoiding doing anything about it. This my second time on hold with them and each time totally about 3 HOURS EACH. This time I was on there for almost 3 HOURS and they didn't answer and gave me the busy dial tone!     I bought two Nintendo joycon replacements because I lost mine. They were $40 each. I then found my old ones and tried to refund through PayPal. The only way to get a refund was to call customer service. I waited on hold for 2 hours and when they picked up they couldn’t find my order with the number I gave them. After waiting another 30 minutes while they kept looking they finally took me off hold and I accidentally hung up. I called again and waited for 3 hours.... Then a robot came on the phone telling me their connection was interrupted and hung up. I’m still yet to get my $80 refund.

    I ordered over $500 worth of their products to be shipped to my home. The address it was shipped to was incorrect. I tried emailing them multiple times before it was shipped. No response. I called them. Waited two times over 4 hours on the phone. The person said nothing they could do. They no longer answer their phone or messages on social media. They do not respond to their contact form. I filed a complaint with PayPal and it was refused because of the tracking even though it is clearly not my address. They are using this pandemic to steal money and not provide customer service. The woman I spoke to after 4 hours was so rude and basically saying she could do nothing.

    I want my money back. They are abusing this situation during a difficult time. I own a business and I would always make it right for my customers. This company should be ashamed. They even sent trolls out to my Facebook post asking for help. Making fun of me and harassing me until I blocked and deleted people. I’ve never been treated so horrible by a Company.

    GameStop has been absolutely atrocious in terms of customer service. First, my package was lost, then when I tried to contact support I spent 2.5 hours on hold. And when I tried to send emails to support for help, I got 0 replies. Same thing when I tried the online chat, I was told I was first in queue and my chat remained open for 12 straight hours with no reply. Then after all this, my package was 2 weeks late and incorrect. Not only won’t I never purchase anything from them ever again, I will never recommend them to another person.

    I purchased a PS4 slim 1 terabyte new from Gamestop in Fairfield OH for Christmas 2018. The system is 1 year and 1 month old. I had spent 500 dollars on everything I had purchased. I had never had any complaints or issues with the staff in the store until today. Allison was obviously put off by my questions to how I could go about checking on the warranty, having the console fixed, etc. Even so much so that my 13 year old even said something about her attitude. I'm sure anyone would agree a product should last more than 1 year. I am also sure that had she spent the $500.00 that she would have asked the same questions.

    If you cannot pleasantly help a repeat long term customer then you shouldn't be working Allison in a public position. The comment you made as the gentleman came in as I was leaving with my 13-year-old son "just in the nick of time" was not appreciated by either one of us. You are rude. You just lost a long term repeat customer for Gamestop.

    The Xbox one x is currently on sale brand new for $349.99 so I went online to GameStop.com and ordered a new Xbox one x gears of war 5 bundle to be picked up at a local GameStop location. The next day I went and picked up my new console. When I got home I opened the box and started to unbox everything, the console itself was full of fingerprints and dust so I checked the box and made sure it said new which it did. So I plugged everything in and turned the console on, at this point I realized the controller was already synced to the Xbox. I then went online and registered the console to find out it had been previously registered with a warranty expiration of 12/26/20. I took this console back to the same store I purchased it, explained what happened and exchanged it for a Xbox one x division 2 bundle (all they had in stock).

    When I got home this console was just like the previous console, both marked new but obviously used, the 2nd console had more fingerprints and dust then the first console, the controller was already synced as well and the registration for this console ended in 5/2/20. I contacted Microsoft support who advised me if the console looks used to return it if I wanted a new console (which I do I payed for a new console). I decided to go to a different GameStop the 3rd time and after I explained what happened I was told “that’s virtually impossible”. I then show the employee my screenshot of the warranty and my conversation with Microsoft. He exchanged the Xbox for me and open the new one in front of me so we could both check it.

    After 3 trips (each 20 mins from my house) I finally have a new console but I had to get some GameStop exclusive Xbox console because it was all they had it stock. The console white with fake paint splatters which In my opinion looks awful next to my other electronics. So $350 plus dollars and 3 trips later I finally have a new Xbox that’s a color I didn’t want. This will be my last console purchase from GameStop.

    DO NOT SHOP at GameStop unless you are a criminal because that's how everyone is treated by their policy. Shop at Walmart, Target, BestBuy, Gamers Etc, or any other place that actually have companies where there are people in their company outside the store will do what's right even if the people in the store aren't always the best representatives of customer service. I couldn't even get someone higher than the incapable, disrespectful, uneducated (relating to California Law... calm down people) store manager Vanessa to discuss the situation with me. Cowards. Plus, this is over a $40 controller COLOR! I just wanted a different color, which the other store (and practically every store in the world would tell you) told me I could do when the color came in.

    All I ask anyone who cares about them-self is to ONE time stand up for the real customers. Do not make your next electronics purchase at GameStop (even if just once) and quietly, defiantly, courageously say we will not accept being treated like a criminal because other people steal from you! This is an extremely long story but it comes down to this....Vanessa the manager and the entire company do not care about treating an ACTUAL customer as a customer, they hide behind an illogical "policy" that treats everyone like a criminal.

    You can choose to stop shopping at GameStop as I have, as my sons won't be, and as many people as I can get to see the light...but you don't have to if you don't want to. Keep shopping there. They need the money as I have read their stock price is down 60% at the third quarter, and I see that stores are closing. You may not want to get anything that has an extended warranty because they may be out of business before you can bring back your item. Good luck out there Vanessa. I hope your resume is up to date.

    The policy - To do an even exchange (even accompanied by a valid receipt, unopened box, sent from the Lower Sac GameStop, no reason to believe any form of fraud or deceit was occurring, and the fact that no money was being returned) they must have you state your home address. Several conversations by phone could not get anyone higher than the brazenly awful Store manager Vanessa who illegally believes she can refuse service to anyone (which you can't except for certain situations) and doesn't even know how to use her own Point of Purchase system (as evidenced by her coming to "help" me and not knowing that it would ask for the address to do the exchange (which the cashier had already told her I refused to provide) or how to circumvent it when a customer declines to provide their personal home information (I did provide them a current cell phone number).

    Neither Vanessa nor the original cashier denied the exchange (they both tried to do it but froze up when I said that they didn't need my home address). The law states that I have a right and companies must at my request delete personal data (so why do they have a policy that claims I have to provide it). The 3 in store problems:

    *They BELIEVE that store policy overrides the law.

    *They DO NOT have a way to verify my home address anyway (which means yes I could have given them any address but I did not on principle).

    *They DID NOT deny the exchange until I would not comply with the unlawful DEMAND of personal information at which time they took both controllers. REMEMBER, I already owned the merchandise and they took it from me and placed it behind the counter when they denied the exchange. I had to remind them that they are stealing my property before they gave it back.

    The law says that they must have a posted return policy or blah blah blah. They do. I met all requirements of it, and nowhere does it say that you have to give private information. Not to mention, HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MANY COMPANIES ARE GETTING CUSTOMER INFORMATION STOLEN!! Now, why the whole company? They investigated and believe the store can do what they did (stupidly not fixing the problem). However, they told me twice and twice I waited for someone to contact me but nobody has the intestinal fortitude to follow up with me. They know that they're wrong because if I gave them YOUR address they would have accepted it. I could have just played their game but remember...I already have the merchandise. I just wanted a different color. I don't need a different color.

    So, they have lost a life long customer over a non-monetary even exchange and I will no longer make purchases at any GameStop. I control the purchasing power of three sons who are gamers who will no longer shop at any GameStop, and I influence the decisions of thousands of high school students...good luck GameStop, you'll need it! Lol. P.S. Their "Going Out of Business, Everything Must Go" sale was selling PS4 controllers for $20 more than they were just on sale for and $10 more than Walmart's regular price! They are still trying to rip you off when they are promoting great "Going Out of Business" deals? What deals!?

    I ordered a PlayStation 4 refurbished in the second week of November. Received product first week of October and the controller did not work. It is now January 9th and I still have not received my controller after returning the old one and them receiving it over a week and a half ago. Every time I call they keep telling me they don't know what's going on and "I'll resend it". Within 2 days I get an email saying order was canceled and have to call all over again. And they wonder why they're going out of business.

    They were going out of business in my area and we saw a sign 20-30% off everything. So we went in to have a look and saw a keyboard. With 20% off it would have been about 25 dollars. Next week I saw a sign saying 50% off so I thought about that keyboard and went in. The same keyboard I looked at was marked up to 115.00 and 50% off would have made it 57.50. You know I'm glad they are going. Bunch of crooks.

    I purchased a $50 GameStop gift certificate online for a young person before Christmas and it never arrived to either the young person's email or my email even with repeated calls to their horrendous customer service center who kept promising that the gift card would be emailed within 3 days of my complaint. I repeated this drill numerous times with their customer service center. I even tried to contact their corporate office, and they do not answer their phones since everything is routed to an email. When I asked to speak to a supervisor in their customer service center I was on hold for way too long.

    Finally weeks later, a supervisor simply gave me the gift card number to purchase a product online that I can give the recipient of the gift card and he can use immediately. Why I did not get this info after I spent hours upon hours on the phone is beyond me. When I asked for any kind of compensation for all the time in took to correct this nightmare, I was offered an additional $25 that the young person would have to go into the store to use. A small offer for a colossal customer service failure at all levels of their company. Stay far away from GameStop. Their protocols are cumbersome, antiquated and predatory.

    I ordered two items over a month ago and they immediately withdrew money from my account but have yet to ship the items to me. It's been almost a month now. They immediately put the items in a "Shipped" status (December 1st) meaning they have created a UPS label for it, boxed them up, and it's waiting to be delivered to UPS by them. Because of this, they refuse to cancel or refund the order, yet they are hanging on to my money with no sign of actually sending me anything. I've sent them numerous emails with no response. I've talked the them on the phone (after over an hour wait on hold) and they promised me a refund in which never happened. Is this not some kind of fraud?

    I stopped buying games from these people decades ago because even as a little kid I didn't like being raped. They pay you pennies for your used games and then sell you someone else's used game for a huge mark up... But they were having a sale and I decided to purchase from them again. Big Mistake. It was the digital copy of a game that I could have paid more for at many other retailers, but I would have received it in a timely manner. Not at LameStop. They want to make you wait 24 to 48 hours for no reason. Not to mention I tried to order it a couple times from my phone to no avail, and eventually succumbed to making the purchase from my desktop. GameStop? More like stop buying games from us.

    They rip us off over remote controlled, trade in games when new one already out I bought it then want to trade in to other new games. That was before 30 days. I'm really really pissed off at Gamestop. We my family refused shopping at Gamestop anymore. We are going to Walmart or Target that not rip us off. The deal is awful. I'm deaf so I was playing remote. It electric shock me then keep vibration. No my hand aren't wet or nothing. So I turn device off then back on then it keep vibration. I never seen this before. I never deal with like this. It shock you then vibrate it preowned. It's serious rip off. I hope everyone stopped buying ** at Gamestop to save their money and value etc. This Gamestop isn't good which mean bad for business. I'm very stressful near time soon Christmas.     I purchased over $300 worth of Overwatch Ultimates figures on Black Friday for Christmas gifts. They were running a $10 discount per figure with free Overwatch Mask w/ Any Overwatch Ultimate Figure Purchase. While the transaction, shipping, etc. went relatively smoothly, I never received the free mask(s) nor any instructions on redemption process.

    I called Gamestop 3 times to get this issue resolved. Suffice to say, the agents told me that the deal was over and that there was nothing they could do. One agent even told me they ran out of masks when clearly I could see that inventory was available online. I gave up after the 3rd frustrating call. This is likely my last Black Friday/Cyber Monday with GameStop. They were my go-to store for gaming since college (almost 20 years), but I feel that their service is lacking compared to their competitors. I felt I should share my message since I obviously was not getting through to their service department.

    This review is going to be EXTREMELY long, but worth the read. I wish I could give this store more than 5 stars, and I've never even been there yet. The reason for that is...Bob. Bob deserves ALL the stars...and the moon...and the sun...and the Galaxy itself. Bob is a hero without a cape (or maybe he has a cape, I don't know, I've never met him so I'm not sure what he's into).

    Bob just single handedly made my 5 year old son's Christmas. My son is absolutely head over heels OBSESSED with Godzilla, he is a TRUE fan, loves all the classics, knows every single monster and movie and all, and has about a MILLION figures and toys. He saw videos on YouTube of a Godzilla game that came out in 2015 for PS4 over 6 months ago and I've been trying to find it since, but because the game didn't review well not many copies were made and now it can't be found online for less than a couple hundred even used...as a single mom struggling to get through each week let alone pull off Christmas, I just can't afford that for one game/gift.

    I discovered that GameStop sells it pre-owned for $60 (imagine that...$60 used!!). But the problem is they almost never have it. I imagine it either gets snapped up by other diehard fans or by employees who know they can resell online for more. I saw it on the website about an hour from me but wanted to call first, but it was gone by the next morning. So I searched 100 miles from my zip code, 100 miles from a zip code an hour west, east, north and south of me. No luck. I had friends in many other states search 100 miles from them...no luck. I tried EVERYTHING, and my local GameStop wouldn't be bothered trying to help me, they told me they can only search up to 100 miles too.

    Last night after working very late and being completely exhausted and stressed over Christmas and spending countless hours yesterday searching online for this thing or that on their lists, I decided to take a break and check 100 miles from me for the hell of it, expecting to come up empty. To my amazement, it showed there was a copy at the Little Falls store. I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice by waiting to call when they opened so I quickly, heart pounding, added it to my cart, fully expecting it to pop up and tell me I couldn't check out because it was no longer available. I made it through checkout, paid the $67 and change after taxes (and a $3 protection plan because yeah it's a $60 USED game).

    I went to bed feeling better than I have in weeks, completely over the moon that he was going to get his game that I had driven myself crazy over for half a year. The confirmation said to wait until I received email confirmation, so I planned to drive the 45 minutes to Little Falls in the morning once I received it. Fast forward to 9:15 this morning when I received an email...for the cancellation of my order. I very impatiently waited for 10am when the store would open to call and demand answers. I was dialing by 9:58. By now I had had 45 minutes to fester and I was livid.

    I probably called somewhere between 7-12 times before someone picked up...Bob. Poor Bob had no idea about my Godzilla obsessed kid who literally sits and watches YouTube videos of other people playing the game while wishing he could, my long search, my late nights on eBay and GameStop.com and Google, all the bidding wars that ended while I was sleeping or working, the countless times I would think I was about to win just to be outbid at the very end of the auction by an amount that took it way above my budget. Bob was probably not expecting the angry, sleep deprived, deranged person on the other end of the phone when he answered ever so politely.

    "Uh, yeah, I'd like someone to tell me EXACTLY WHY a game I ordered AND PAID FOR on the website last night was cancelled at 9:14 this morning before the store was even OPEN." I will admit that a character flaw of mine is always jumping to the worst possible conclusion...like that an employee had come in the morning and cancelled my order so they could buy it... especially after reading the night before (because I was neurotically Googling how reliable the Buy-Online-Pickup-In-Store stock system was and trying to figure how likely I was to actually get hands on my unicorn of a game).

    Bob did not even flinch or miss a beat, he very politely explained to me that unfortunately even though the website said it was in stock there, it never actually was and that another employee had taken in a trade right before closing the night before for the game God of War and accidentally hit the Godzilla game instead when entering the info to the system as Godzilla was right under God of War on the list. He apologized sincerely, and my fury deflated and (some) of my sanity returned...after all, it wasn't really Bob I was mad at.

    I explained to him about my son and how much he absolutely loves everything Godzilla and that I'd been driving myself up a wall (which of us parents ISN'T doing exactly the same thing this time of year) trying to get the game for 6+ months and how I was just hoping for a Christmas miracle to be able to make it happen for Christmas. I told him this was the second disappointing "almost had it". By now I was feeling completely defeated and just sad, and really felt like just giving up on the whole thing. Then Bob said he wanted to help me. He had already found a copy down in Georgia (hmmmm...but I thought they can only search 100 miles as well, according to the employee at my local store?) in the short time we'd been on the phone, and was looking for more leads.

    "I can't go all the way to Georgia" was my response as I'd been told by a different employee at a different store that they wouldn't ship it from store to store even if he found it. He said he wasn't asking me to, that he would get it sent right to him and I could pick it up. He asked for my contact info and said he'd give me a call back in 25 minutes or so. Before he hung up he said "I like to help people and I'm pretty good at these types of things". I thanked him profusely and told him he's awesome, but did not have high hopes he'd be able to find it other than another inventory mistake.

    I waited, impatiently, trying to keep busy. An hour went by and I noticed I had a missed call and voicemail from Bob saying the Georgia copy didn't pan out as it had been purchased as soon as they opened, but that he had a few more leads and was still working on it but didn't want me to think he'd forgotten me. I was still completely skeptical and felt bad that he was spending hours of his day calling all over the place for my sake trying to hunt down some silly Godzilla game for a 5 year old (and I knew he was cause I tried to return his call and got the busy signal twice). Back to waiting.

    I must have dozed off because I woke up around 1:45 and saw I'd missed two calls and a voicemail from him. I listened to the voicemail then called him back. "YOU. ARE. AMAZING!!!!!" were the first words out of my mouth when he answered. He chuckled and confirmed it was me. He seemed pretty excited and happy to inform me that he had not only FOUND THE GAME and that it was already ON ITS WAY. I almost fell off my seat, I think I was in a total state of shock. He apologized for it taking so long (yes, HE apologized to ME for spending his entire day so far searching GameStops like a madman for a game for a complete strangers son), and explained he'd had to wait out the THREE HOUR time difference until a GameStop in CALIFORNIA opened.

    He *WAITED* out a *THREE HOUR* time difference...to help out a STRANGER. All the while I assume making calls to GameStops all over the country. ALL. OVER. THE. COUNTRY. He then proceeds to tell me that on top of all that, he might even have found a more local copy that's on hold for someone that he will PERSONALLY PICK UP and then PERSONALLY DROP OFF TO HIS COWORKER tomorrow morning (I assume the hold expires today or something) so that I can have it sooner, but if not I'll still have it probably the end of this week and definitely before Christmas.

    MIND. BLOWN. Bob accomplished the impossible in finding not just one but possibly two copies of my unicorn. And he went absolutely above and beyond, over the moon and the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house and back, battled through swarms of orcs, had an epic lightsaber battle on his spaceship ride to Knowhere, came back and crossed Mordor, and survived the fires of Mount Doom to do it. I probably thanked him a few hundred times, and thinking back I don't think I ever even apologized for my initial attitude on the first phone call this morning.

    Not all heroes wear capes, but is this guy actually some sort of real life angel or something? I wasn't entirely sure more than a handful people like this even existed anymore in the world, and I was under the impression it was a concrete unbreakable RULE OF THE UNIVERSE for them to never work in retail. People who are not only willing to help others with no expectation of something in return, but actually ENJOY doing so.

    I've seen some pretty horrible reviews of GameStop employees at other locations (and experienced such when I was made to believe by one at my own local store that none of this was even possible, perhaps laziness or whatever the case may be), perhaps all GameStop employees should be made to attend a mandatory training seminar by Bob. He could do amazing things for his store and GameStops company. I have never in my life in any store anywhere experienced such incredible and outstanding customer service and just plain actual care for other human beings.

    In all seriousness, I hope this review somehow magically makes its way to the eyes of the people above Bob and up the chain of command. I know without a shadow of a doubt there are probably more people than not that would have tracked the game down, had it sent to them and purchased it to resell for themselves and just told me they had no luck without a single care or second thought about a stressed out, struggling single mom that just wants to see her 5 year old light up on Christmas, that's unfortunately a lot of the world we live in these days. He deserves recognition, promotion, a raise, and a corner office (if he wants one anyway). GameStop has a truly amazing employee here who genuinely knows what excellent customer service and caring is and does anything and everything to practice it, and THAT is what is needed especially in chains like GameStop.

    I truly believe if they filled their stores with employees like this, or at least truly appreciated and cherished the few they might have by rewarding their excellence, their business and profits would explode. I have never been so impressed in all my 31 years of life. Truly just at a loss to even find the words to describe this experience and how good it made me feel. That is the type of employee and human being that has the ability to restore people's faith in a store, it's company, retail in general, and humanity itself.

    I feel like the praise in this ridiculously long review that probably absolutely ZERO people will make it to the end of, doesn't even do any of what happened today or Bob justice. He made a kid's Christmas today, a kid he doesn't even know. I really, really hope he's working when I go pick the game up so I can thank him (and finally apologize) in person, I think I'll bake him some cookies or something too. Keep being awesome, Bob!

    Wanted to let you know that your power up customer services is the worst I had to deal with. Because my husband didn't click a button on an email from 12/22/2012 I was told to fully activate the account I would have to sign up for the free membership, wait 24 hours then call back to have points transfer to new card that takes 2 to 3 days. Never got an answer on if you would credit me then to a power up plus member since that's what I currently have. Then when I asked for a supervisor I was on hold for over 40 mins before me and my husband said forget. You lost a customer out of us. And we just bought a Nintendo switch game system and games. I will let everyone know about my experience and I will order online from anyone other then you from now on.

    Hi, I purchased gift cards for Sony PlayStation, order was not instant, it was a digital download content, so it should have be quick, but no, 12 hours later I emailed the order process department to inquire about my order, they canceled my order without question, what kind of service is this? Wow, will never buy or purchase from them ever again, I should have surf Best Buy website instead.

    Bought a game from the Bridgeville Pa. Gamestop which is about a 45 minute drive from me, only to get almost home and the store called to say they forgot to put the disc in the packet. So turned around and drove all the way back, the associate did apologize, however him or the manager could cut me a break or store credit, something for their foul up, also traded in five good quality games, but not happy at all with their service, will NEVER buy anything from them again, TERRIBLE service.

    Got a gift card for $25.00. CAN NOT USE IT ONLINE. The card says you can but Gamestop has changed their policy and now you have to go to the store to use it. Nearby store is 2 hours away plus they have items you cant buy with it. Nowhere does it say that on the cards. I will never again trust in this company to rip off.

    They sold me a resealed game as brand new. When I got home and noticed the disk had fingerprints and scratches on it I went back to try and return it. They refused and said that they commonly reseal their games and that they wouldn’t accept a return because it wasn’t new. IT WAS NEVER NEW IN THE FIRST PLACE. Last I checked it was illegal to take products out of their factory seal and sell them as new items, apparently Gamestop doesn’t care to routinely break the law. Don’t support this company and their illegal business practices, I know I’ll never shop there again.
