    I am a long time customer of Zenni Optical. I started buying glasses from them in 2013 and have referred all my friends to them. HOWEVER, my latest order, placed this month, was so subpar that I cannot recommend Zenni Optical anymore. Buyer Beware. I believe the change has come because they grew so big they moved their manufacturing facility overseas or changed something along those lines. I have no proof of that except I'm holding an extremely DEFECTIVE pair of sunglasses I paid quite a bit for that they refuse to help me with. I have to pay the return postage. Then an email telling me the glasses are not defective. They have about 1/3 of an inch of total blur around the edges. They are saying that is normal. I almost fell the other day.

    Well, that's not normal. So, if anyone writes a review saying they have no clue why all the complaints, just DO NOT ORDER THEIR PREMIUM SUNGLASSES. It's a known issue, NOT PUBLISHED on the website, that they are saying some people can handle it and some can't. They have fought me every step of the return process and I will NEVER ever buy from them again. Eventually this will catch up to them. They do not care about the consumer at all as of August of 2017. In 2013, they were wonderful. Something changed. Too bad... They used to be so good. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

    I ordered progressive sunglasses using my doctor's script. I got them the day before my month-long vacation. But quickly discovered that I was completely unable to read in them! When I returned, I reached out to customer service. They first refused to help as I was 2 days outside of my "30-day warranty." When I pushed back, they agreed to allow me to ship them back for inspection.

    After over two weeks of no word, I had to reach out to them to see if they had been received. Only then did they respond that they had, in fact, prepared them incorrectly. They promised that "they had been remade" and were being rush shipped. That was over three weeks ago and still NOTHING! It turns out they were just starting the remake process and "don't offer rush shipping." I can't decide which is worse, their quality control or their customer service. NOT WORTH IT! Won't be using them again and don't suggest you do either.

    Have ordered glasses from Zenni for years with nothing but great success - One pair of glasses in this order were totally messed up, couldn't see through them without headache - causing eye strain. I think maybe the PD may have been done completely wrong. Called to discuss and the customer service representative couldn't care less about my problem and was rude, I felt she just wanted to get me off the phone - told me I had to send them back and maybe I would get credit for that pair of my 3 pair order. You should have a pre-paid return postage program like most other modern internet seller. I felt I was very badly served when I finally had a complaint after being a customer for so many years.

    Four years ago, I found Zenni Optical on Facebook and they're a lot cheaper than going to the doctor. I have ordered a lot of glasses from them and I usually purchase a full rim. The shipping is very fast and the quality of the glasses are good. But I have a problem with one of the items that I ordered recently. It's different from the prescription that I wanted. But other than that, I like all the glasses that I ordered. Zenni provides excellent service.

    Still waiting for glasses that were supposed to be delivered today (paid for express shipping). Placed order & emailed a copy of my Rx. They said they tried to contact me with no evidence of it, "Look in your spam folder." Nada in spam either. Stated they called FIVE days after the order was placed, noticed a "discrepancy". I sent the copy of my Rx to avoid this!!!! FIVE DAYS LATER they say they "tried to contact" me???? I'd still be waiting if I didn't call them wondering where my order was. Now they say they will "expedite" it & I should receive them in 7-10 days. Funny because that would've been the same original time without 20.00 extra for express shipping.     I lost my glasses and a friend back home told me that I could buy something cheap but good quality on the internet. I looked at the frames on the other sites but I liked Zenni’s the most for its cool variety of eye glasses. The frames look good and juvenile so I bought one from them last year. The ordering process was easy, as well. I bought my second pair a couple of months ago and I went for the style that is plastic and full rim.     I like Zenni Optical because they have a lot of beautiful designs and it’s cheap. I don’t have to spend an arm and leg to get eyeglasses and I love that.     One of my friends told me about Zenni Optical and I went with them for their prices. I have been ordering from them for five years already and I have bought five pairs of glasses, including my husband's.     I've been ordering from Zenni Optical for years because of the quality and the price. I get my eye exam, take my prescription, and order my glasses from them ‘cause it's cheaper than even with my insurance. Then it takes a week for me to get them. I got a big modern-style frame and they're $10, so you can't beat that. The styles are very cute and you can upload a picture and see all the frames on your face but it's not the same as in a walk-in store. However, the glasses are so cheap that if I don't like them, I keep them anyway so I can have an extra pair. They're still glasses, so I can still use them. Now you can send them back too if you don't like them.

    I highly recommend this company. I was always breaking my 200 dollar glasses before I had the fortune to discover Zenni. Initially, I sent the wrong prescription but the zenni staff were so nice and redid my glasses for no extra cost! I now have not one but THREE pair of very pretty glasses for 50 dollars plus 27 dollars for postage and handling.     I have referred about 100 people to Zenni Optical because I work in a hospital full-time, I work in a restaurant part-time and I bartend a golf event part-time as well so I get their name out there every chance I get. I tell people how inexpensive they are, how many options they have for them to look at and the turnaround time. I've ordered close to 20 pairs of glasses and only one had to be adjusted when I got them. And the only time I had to talk to customer service was the first time I ordered them because I didn't know what I was doing for sure. I also like that it saves my prescription online. So I can just go into their system and then click on my name. I ordered for my mom too and I put on my name and it filled up my information in. I don’t have bifocals but she does so it tells me she can't have this or that. It's a wonderful experience overall.

    My son, who was only in TK, went to an eye doctor and he got glasses last year. But on the very second day of school, he broke them. His teacher told us to try Zenni because they have a bunch of different styles and there are cheap ones we can choose from. The first ones I ordered were full rim and worked really good. He had them for two months then the lens popped out because his little brother grabbed them. We couldn't find the lens so I had to order another pair. I was trying to look for those exact full rim ones, but I couldn't find any so I had to go with a flimsy rim. I like online ordering but I can’t see if they’re going to fit him right. The ones that I ordered didn't fit him right on his face. They kept falling off of his face and were coming down his nose.

    When my son broke the glasses, I emailed Zenni and let them know and they automatically sent me another pair. They didn't even know that I ordered another pair of glasses. So it was really good. I ended up with two pairs. And then the rims broke again on the second pair. I tried to order again but we ended up moving and then I found another pair. I'm having a lot of issues with glasses. I like Zenni's prices though. It's helpful around school time because you're buying school clothes and you don't want to buy $200-frames that are going to break a couple of days into school. I have recommended Zenni to some friends.

    The eyeglasses work great. My experience with Zenni Optical was very efficient. I got a full-frame and no-rim eyeglasses, as well as eyeglasses for my kids and they like it. I went with Zenni because their glasses look great and are not that expensive. A co-worker of mine had told me about Zenni’s cheaper-priced eyeglasses.     I ordered 2 sets of prescription glasses, 1 was a pair of sunglasses and the other was a pair of daily use glasses. I received my order in a timely fashion. The daily use glasses fit perfectly, but the sunglasses did not fit at all! The frame was way too small. (I did use the "choose your size" filter) This was a mistake on ZENNI's End not me as the paying consumer! So after calling in and getting the ring around by "Zuse" he refused to transfer me to a manager and said that I was able to be put on hold till one was able to take my call. So after calling in for a 4th time I had enough! It states in their return policy, "If you made a mistake during the order, or you just don’t like the glasses, you can return them for a 50% refund (excluding shipping), or for a one-time-use 100% store credit (excluding shipping). Unused accessories can be returned for a 100% refund (excluding shipping)."

    I did not make a mistake and I do want them but they just don't fit. So after speaking with a manager they still refused to refund all my money even though the glasses have been unused. They still refused to return my money or give me store credit! this company will give you every excuse in the book to make you feel worthless and that it is your fault in any case so they don't have to give any money back even if you as the consumer did nothing wrong to deserve this kind of bad business practice behavior! All I wanted was a refund for an item that I can't use and they made me out to be the bad guy. So please do yourself a favor and DO NOT ORDER FROM ZENNI OPTICAL!!! They don't care about you once they have your money!!!

We highly recommend customers to measure their current pair of eyeglasses to ensure they are selecting the right frame for their face since all of our glasses come at a set measurement. Our ‘Filter By’ feature for the size of our glasses does not necessarily mean that you are selecting the right size frame for your face.     Zenni Optical is affordable for me as I literally can’t afford to buy glasses at an actual eye doctor or lens crafters. I’ve been ordering from them for years since 2012 and I usually do full rim as it looks better on me. My prescription has changed so much too. My eyes get worse every year, so I have to usually order new ones. That’s also another reason why I don’t go with the expensive ones. However, their return policy is not the best. I wish there was a way to either have a try-on program like Warby Parker does a thing where a person can try on five pairs and then send them back and order the ones he actually likes. The thing that makes it hard is the whole not being able to try the glasses on. I tried to return some once that didn’t fit me and it was too complicated. So I ended up being stuck with them.

    I've ordered from Zenni Optical twice. The first one was the full rim but they'd come unscrewed a lot on me. So the second time, I got the half rim because it looked like I didn’t have to worry about being unscrewed. Also, the half rim looked cool. In about a month or two, I would work on a cruise ship, and I plan on buying another pair through Zenni again. Their prices are amazing and it's worth it.     Don't pay for expedited shipping, they messed up our last order several times and we still don't have them. If you want a pair for kids that you need to keep changing anyway, not an all bad deal, but the quality has taken a dive and the frames keep breaking. Ordered new frames twice and they didn't fit the lenses, had to send back the frames and lenses and pay S&H. No longer sure it's still worth it in the end, but with 2 kids and two adults in glasses it was worth a try.

    I had perfectly good glasses from Zenni Optical. They were affordable and nice. They’re also cheaper than others. I had the circle framed ones for a few months but I lost them. I lose glasses easily that’s why I buy glasses like that. I'm going to order some today or tomorrow. Ordering online was simple but Zenni could have a better selection like the square or rectangle styles and more sizes too. Otherwise, I'd recommend it to a friend.

    I bought my glasses at Zenni Optical for about $40 total, including shipping. The delivery was way faster than I expected and considering that I had them delivered all the way to Guam, I could appreciate that. The quality of the frames are okay, they're pretty sturdy and have a good hefty weight to them. My glasses are black brow lines, and the gold on the bottom of the lens frames are seem to hold up well so far. The bridge of my glasses are very slightly warped, and the measurements that Zenni provides online run quite small (my glasses squeeze onto the sides of my head uncomfortably at times), but all in all, a really good trade off for such an affordable price. The website has an option where you can upload your picture and virtually try on your glasses, but this isn't very accurate so I wouldn't bother.

    You'll have to know your measurements pretty well and plan on buying slightly bigger frames than you think. Other than that, they're okay quality and quick with delivery for really cheap. My prescription was made well, too. No dizziness or blurriness, and I recommend throwing in the anti-reflective option, since you have some room for "bonuses" considering the cheap starting price.

    I used to LOVE Zenni until today. I've ordered from them before and everything was AMAZING! Ever since I have gotten my glasses, I get so many compliments and I'm super fast to go on an on about how amazing Zenni is and how they should stop getting glasses where they are and only order from Zenni. This time however, I got my order WITH THE EXACT same prescription and PD on the glasses and when they came, everything was blurry so I assumed all I had to do was send them back and they would fix them and that would be all. But I got an email saying that there was no problem and that they could send them back or offer a store credit MINUS shipping WHICH I PAID TWICE.

    Obviously if 2 pairs of glasses have the same PD and the same prescription YOU SHOULD SEE THE SAME OUT OF BOTH but that is not the case and IT IS ME that is wrong about the glasses... Guess we can't even trust our own vision these days. They spoke to me on the phone as if I was stupid and even though I spoke to the "only supervisor at all" the problem was in no way fixed, they are going off for a second look (which of course will come back with the same results in their favor) and I spent money for no reason. So because of the way I was treated by their staff, Problem fixed or not, this is my last ** time ordering from this ** company. "Great" job on your customer service **. Get a better supervisor.

    I order glasses from them and entered my prescription. When I received the glasses the prescription was not correct. After emailing them my prescription they claimed that I entered the information incorrectly. In addition the quality of the frames was very poor. I requested a refund and was told that I could either return them and get a 100% store credit or a refund of 50%. I elected the 50% refund and I mailed the glasses back to them. I got an email from them today saying that they received the envelope but it didn't contain the glasses. After spending 30 minutes on hold, the rep restated that they didn't receive the glasses, put me on hold to find her supervisor who was at lunch to see what could be done. Now I am waiting for a return call. Don't buy from this company.

    I like the convenience of with Zenni Optical and the fact that you don't have to pay as much and you still get good quality glasses. A lot of times you go to the eye doctors and you pay maybe three times as much. I’ve been ordering from Zenni since last year and I've gotten quite a few pairs from them by now. I got two for my son and one for myself. When my son broke his frame, it was a smooth transition with the customer service. It was okay.

    Zenni should customize though as there is a calling for it. I got the half-rim but it's the older people looking such style. My seven-year-old is a trendy little boy so I let him choose his own glasses. He got one pair half-rim and another pair of something else. He has been going to eye doctors since he was four and he says the glasses for kids are not as fun, so he wants to design his own glasses. He wants to add different little things that kids like such as connecting stars on the side of his glasses. I understand what he's saying. A lot of kids like to wear glasses even though they may not need them. They’re going to pay $14 for a pair of those non-prescription glasses and make them look cool like the rest of the kids. He's mentioned it to me several times. So, I'm trying to find a way to get his little vision as a seven-year-old. I have looked online numerous times and he's not satisfied. Nevertheless, I am satisfied. I have already recommended Zenni to friends.

    I wanted to change the styles of the glasses we’ve had before to something different. I went to different sites, but I liked Zenni Optical better because of the way I could look at the glasses. I liked the options that were there and then the people’s reviews helped a lot too. The prices were reasonable and the glasses were cheap.     My son recommended Zenni to me. He said Zenni was good so I went with them and it was. I'm still using my glasses from them although I lost my first pair. It was one of those clip-on kind of magnetic sunglasses added to it and I had to reorder it again. They needed minimum two. The first one came quicker than the second one which came a few days later. It was $36 for the stripes. But I wish I had a bifocal because I cannot read because of the distance. Now, I have to take the glasses out of my eyes and read it. Next time, I will get the bifocals. I had a very pleasant experience though. They were on time and made a good follow-up. It was recommended to me by my son.

    My last two orders of 2 identical pairs of the same prescription single vision eyeglasses yielded 4 different size frames. These people are so inconsistent in quality and performance. One of the pairs did not have the antiglare coating I had requested and paid for. It was my error to not open and check the entire order immediately but who wears two pairs of glasses that are identical at the same time? My recommendation is to steer clear Zenni Optical for quite a while till they get their quality improved.

    My experience with Zenni Optical was not that great. The shipment for my son got held up at the U.S. Customs for 10 days. I was dealing with FedEx in trying to get the glasses released. I don't know what Zenni was doing on their side but Customs held those glasses and there was a big investigation around those things before finally releasing them. We had to pick them up at the FedEx office. It was weird.

    I went with Zenni Optical because of their prices. They have more choices of glasses too. That time I ordered a silver full metal frame for my son. He had them for a couple of months and he likes them but they don't seem to be the sturdiest of glasses. They get crooked easily and we constantly get them readjusted. Plus, Zenni’s customer service reps are not very helpful. They'd actually erased orders that I've made off of my account. When I had problems with the order, all of a sudden they've disappeared off of my file. They say they don’t know what happened and they do not rectify it. They just say no as if they do not believe I had an order.

    I love that Zenni has the frames and the lenses included for a reasonable amount of money. I have ordered with them a few times ever since my co-worker first told me about them. It’s cool because it’s so inexpensive, I can have several different frames to mix and match. I always go with the full rim and get the plastic frames. Those are my favorite as I'm always impartial.     I've worn glasses since I was 13, and quality and comfort have always top priority for me. After spending $835 for my last pair at an optical store, I decided to try Zenni. It took a couple of adjustments, but Zenni worked with me and got my order right. If for some reason your order does not meet your needs, they will make the necessary adjustments at no charge.     The frames were as expected, cheap plastic. The lenses were coated with something that made it where your vision is blurred. The glasses can't be worn unless you want to have a blurred image all day. Which honestly defeats the purpose of wearing glasses. I contacted customer service the day I opened the package and was told I must have messed them up. After escalating further they wanted me to spend more money to send the product back to them. So they could decide if they messed up. I asked for a shipping label. They refused. I escalated through PayPal and they would give a full refund once I pay to ship it back. I would have to spend at least $3.64 (you have to have a tracking number) to not have to have this product anymore. I decided instead of wasting more money, I tossed the glasses in the trash and am now done with it.

    If you're looking for a cheap option, it's going to be a 50/50 chance you get a good product back. You get what you pay for. Honestly, it would be easier to go to the Dollar store, pick out some frames, then go to Walmart and have them just put lenses in for you. If you're ok with throwing away $12 on something that may be useless, this is the company for you.

    The Good: Prices, Selection, Customization (e.g. blue light blocking). The Bad: One of the worst return policies I have ever seen: 50% refund or 100% store credit (minus your shipping cost and you lose any promos for the store credit order), AND you need to pay for return shipping yourself. So really, even if you select 100% store credit, you still lose about $25 if you were like me and used the new customer promo and paid for faster shipping. If Zenni wants to offer poor return policies and customer service -- they need to improve their "Try-It On" tool. All it does it paste a picture of the glasses over a picture of your face. Almost no way that's close to accurate because there's no scale between your face and the glasses to know if they're sized or appear accurately.

    What Zenni needs is a 3D augmented reality tool to try on glasses, because they're selling on one of the worst platforms for their product -- the internet. Glasses transform the way people look, and they need to really preview it. An augmented reality tool would take your face on webcam and augment the model of glasses on your face. You'd be able to turn your head and see how they would look in real-time. Big investment, but ultimately, whichever online glasses retailer does this first will win the game. Lastly, customer service takes DAYS to respond. Not kidding.

In my very current purchase, I got the item number from one of the optical shops then I put it exactly in the Zenni Optical website. I got the product and it worked. However, it made me so dizzy that I cannot use it, and I was very unhappy. I have astigmatism and I like deep lenses.     I was telling a friend how much I liked Warby Parker and she told me about Zenni Optical. Once I did my own research on Zenni, I couldn't resist. They offered glasses at a more affordable rate than the astronomical prices we're used to paying for a set of prescription eyeglasses. I had a great experience with them. A couple of months ago, I got my new glasses from Zenni and they actually look pretty similar to my Warby Parker and they were almost $100 less. However, I really like the fact that Warby Parker donates a pair of glasses for every pair that they sell to a child in need. If Zenni did that, I would really be sold and I wouldn’t even touch Warby Parker ever again but I can't expect everyone to do that.

    I got full-rim classic frames in turquoise because I thought they looked great. I was always a metal-framed guy, growing up through grade school. I was never real big on the plastic frames and thought that people with plastic frames looked nerdy but they've now become a fashion icon. I'm older now, and everything has changed for me in my fashion taste. I've grown out of the metal frames.

    I just spoke with a friend who told me he liked my glasses and I told him the frames were $12.95 and with the prescription, shipping and tax, everything came out to $46.95. He couldn't believe it. It's such an attainable price for anybody. Aside from that, my transaction went seamless and everyone was very good about working with me.     I bought a pair of glasses from Zenni on the 26th May 2017, and my experience since has been just awful. Firstly the when I put the glasses on I immediately noticed how optically uncomfortable they were, with a very small area in the bottom at the prescription strength with wide areas that sort of "hazed" to the sides and top as you looked around the lens. They hurt my eyes to wear for any time and after buying many other pairs elsewhere I knew immediately that they were not of a made to a good quality optically. The build quality was also quite poor and it was clear that these were not items built well, or built to last! Secondly; when I reached out to Zenni to get a Return No. they made it difficult to get one, requiring me to send numerous emails just to get the clearance to send them back! This is sadly just a past of their overall cynical strategy of making it really hard to get a satisfactory outcome from them.

    Thirdly, I then had to pay to ship them back to Zenni for "inspection" (another $20 wasted). Fourthly, they then contacted me to say that they were content, the product was OK, and therefore I cannot have a full refund. Instead they offer a 50% refund and the rest as a "store credit". Now this is where it gets interesting because if you know a company makes substandard products why on earth would you want to buy more from them!? So I pressed them for a full refund (after all, if this were a meal at a restaurant that you immediately rejected as inferior, who would ever accept the chef coming out and saying "Well you can't have a refund because WE think the food is ok, and your opinion or customer satisfaction is unimportant to us,") all I got from the frontline support staff was they said the glasses were good, and I could not have a full refund. This went on for weeks and still they would not help, they just stonewall.

    (Note: it is clear from any inspection of consumer review sites that this is Zenni's constant modus operandi and they have done it to many many very annoyed consumers in a cynical attempt to trap them into a very unsatisfactory outcome; its shameful, but I guess if you have no shame then perhaps it doesn't seem so shameful!) Fast forward many weeks and I am no further forward. Zenni are still refusing to help, and I am forced to pursue the transaction via the credit card company. They just don't care... I honestly thought this kind of sharp practice had died out online, but how wrong I was! Zenni's approach to business is cynical and deceptive. It's really important that we spread the word about companies like Zenni that betray the consumer trust so other innocent people are not tricked into falling for their unethical, calculating and mean spirited practices.

    My mom got Zenni first and she recommended it to me. My mom is happy with her purchases, though her prescription got so severe that she can’t order through Zenni anymore. They have a limit on the prescription that they can make. I’ve gotten Zenni glasses at least once a year for five years now. I recently ordered the same frames that I had gotten already. I got a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses from them. I broke the glasses and my neighbor’s dog ate the sunglasses, so I reordered the same thing again.

    I like the plastic, full-rim frames. They are comfortable on my nose and more durable than the wire frames and the shape that I can get out of plastic frames are more suitable for my face.     I ordered a pair of sports glasses for my 9 year old. They were too small and was too lightweight for a sport glasses. Ok I was able to return them back for store credit. I decided then to order a regular pair. I received the pair. It was order under the preteen but here it goes again too small. (Age range 8-12) Something is wrong with their merchandise they offer. They are not the correct size on the display. So now they are giving me 50% refund only. Are you kidding me? I have been ordering from them for a very long time for myself and husband.     A bubble formed in the lens of my new glasses after less than three weeks. I reported to Zenni along with photos and was told that was not good enough, that I had to mail my glasses back, at my own expense, which defeats the purpose of buying from Zenni in my opinion. Extremely poor quality and poor customer service. I'm sure they just want people to drop it rather than chase repairs.     I have been using Zenni for a couple of years now. I worked with adults who had traumatic brain injuries and a lot of them didn't have money that they could afford to buy expensive glasses. Now, I'm a police officer and being at work, I've had my glasses broken in fights. I got tired of spending $300 to $400 and my insurance would not pay anymore so I gave Zenni a try. I'm using their metal frame. I also have a 10-year old who goes to school and she breaks hers all the time so, buying from Zenni worked out. The only issue I had was that some of them come not so straight and are hard to adjust. The frames are a little crooked so, it makes that hard for her because the kids’ frames are mostly plastic and you can't really have them adjusted. They also don't have a very good selection for prescription ones especially sunglasses.

    I went to Walmart for my sunglasses because I was tired of trying to wear contacts. I work night shifts and when I come home from work, it’s super bright out and I have to put contacts in. There's an elderly woman that lives in the town that I work with and she needed glasses and couldn’t afford them. I bought her a pair off Zenni that's supposed to come with clip-on sunglasses and it didn't. That upset me pretty good but other than that, I recommend Zenni to everyone.

    I ordered a pair of frames from Zenni Optical and when they arrived, they did not look the same as the picture on their website. I tried to return the frames (which I thought would be simple because it was within 30 days of ordering, and the frames were unaltered with no prescription in them) but they would only allow me to get an In-store credit, and they asked me to pay to ship the glasses back. Customer service was not helpful and very short. When I explained the glasses were way larger than they appeared online, I was told it was my fault for not noticing that all frames only come in one size and may not appear true to size in photos.

    I had heard about Zenni by word of mouth. Thought this would be perfect for me; prescription sunglasses at a good price. I received the glasses. The metal frame was very thin. Felt cheaply made. Obviously I didn't bend them but I imagine they could, easily. Also, in order for me to read anything with these glasses on, I had to hold the item out at arm's length to make out what I read. Totally defeats the whole purpose of having these glasses. My return options are to have 100% credit towards another pair of glasses from Zenni... Which in my opinion puts me in the same predicament. How do you know what you are getting ordering online? Another cheap frame? The other option is 50% refund of my purchase. I'm not happy with their product so I'm stuck with the half refund.     I did a Google search, looking for a way to order glasses for less money and that's how I found Zenni Optical. I had used another company before and though I wasn't entirely satisfied, I figured I'd give it one more try. But then with Zenni, the response was fairly rapid and the glasses were pretty much the prescription I asked for. However, one of the downsides to buying glasses online is you don't have somebody to take the glasses to when they need to be adjusted or if the metal frames get bent. Another is that it's a real guessing game how you look wearing them but that goes with the territory. It's also less of a concern to me. The glasses I look for are more of a backup than the primary. But on the upside is it costs less money. Over time, I've bought 12 pairs, some in full rim and some in no rim and I'd recommend Zenni Optical.

    There are numerous 5-star reviews for Zenni Optical. Unfortunately, there are many reviews that are not stellar and are much more revealing. I cannot find any mention on Zenni's website that their manufacturing is done in China. Unfortunately, that appears to be the case. The website clearly infers that all of their manufacturing (frames and lenses) are done in their massive 200,000+ sq ft California facility. Not true. The fact that their manufacturing is done in China is likely the reason that it takes so long to receive orders and that is one of the reasons why they don't mention the overseas location.

    I purchased two pair of identical frames and lenses. One set had a 80% gray tint for sunglasses. Both were bifocals. I received the order in about 2 weeks. The frames were fine and the distance lenses were fine—per my prescription. Unfortunately, the reading lenses were completely unacceptable. I emailed Zenni and they said to send the frames back to them (at their CA address) at my expense. Several days later I received an email stating that the lenses were incorrectly manufactured—which I knew. They did apologize but ONLY offered to have them re-manufactured. They said they would put a rush on the other.

    A week after that notification, I emailed Zenni requesting the status of my order. They said the lenses were being manufactured in their "overseas" lab and I should give them "a few more days." I have no choice. In the meantime, I have ordered and received a pair of bifocals from EyeBuyDirect without any issues. The glasses are perfect. If possible, I'll update this review if and when I receive the re-fabricated glasses from Zenni. So far, this has been a bad experience.

    I am not a serial reviewer however, I have had a very poor experience with Zenni's quality of lenses and frame. It may not be as much of a factor if you have a simple prescription, mine was no line bifocals. I felt like I was looking cross eyed. I asked for replacement, which I received, no improvement. Please know that I have used the exact prescription with another online company, with no problems. When second glasses were not improved, I just kept them. Shortly afterward, those frames broke. I paid for new frames however, my existing lenses would never fit into new frames. So basically, bad execution of prescription, poor quality frames.

    10 years ago, a friend recommended Zenni Optical. I used to order my regular prescription sunglasses from them.     I've made purchases from Zenni for myself and other family members several times now. I like the cheaper-priced, the $6.95 specials, and even the aviator style glasses. I love the styles of the sunglasses and the square frame for the prescription glasses. They look professional. The glasses hold up well as long as you're careful with them. I still have some from my original purchase. I've also had the anti-scratch, the protective smudge-proof and the glare-proof glasses but the smudge-proofs were harder to keep clean for some reason. Other than that, I'm very pleased with my experience with Zenni.

    A few friends said that they purchased from Zenni Optical and suggested that it'd be a great place to go for. I then got full rim glasses for my wife. The online ordering process was pretty easy. The fact that I have saved her prescription makes it easy to buy prescriptions all the time. I have an account there and the first time I did it was about a year ago. If ever we need another glasses, we just have to bring up her info that's already saved. Then, they were shipped to the house and they went to the post office so that's all on them.     Zenni's website was easy to navigate and had a lot to choose from. I ordered two pairs of glasses, where one pair was round and there was a clear paint frame and the other pair is like wire frame glasses. I like both the styles of the two pairs and had one of the pairs with anti-reflective coating and scratch resistance. I've had these glasses over a few moments and everyone who sees them on me says it's weird that I picked these glasses but I love them.     I expected the frames maybe to be not quite the quality of a more expensive frame but I didn't expect it to look totally different from the picture on the website. I has shopped and shopped for frames and found a black and white frame I loved. But much too expensive. Imagine my surprise when I found an almost exact frame on Zenni. However when they came in they were nothing like the picture, they were black and translucent (as the customer service rep explained) but nowhere did they say that on the site or in the description. So they said they would remake them, (after I sent several pics of the black and translucent pair) free of charge and they would make them black and white as I wanted. Guess what? They sent new frames identical to the first frames. SO NO, I will never order from them again.

    If you can't trust their pictures of their frames to look like the frame they send, then how can you trust what you choose to be a frame you would like. If I had known it was translucent and not white, my second choice was red frames... but who knows what color they would be when I got them... PINK??? I won't use them again, and now I am stuck with frames I absolutely hate.

    Wearing glasses has been part of my life since 35 years ago. Ordering from Zenni optical was my first time and when I received my glasses I was happy with the style I had chosen. I also ordered clip-on sunglasses which I used the first day I received. I noticed that there was something wrong but I blamed it on the new prescription. With my son's help we noticed the lenses were scratched. I had never before had glasses scratches within the first week and I knew it was not because I had misused my glasses. I was reading reviews about the company (something I should have done before I ordered) and found out they have many dissatisfied customers but the "Alan of Jefferson City, MO" review was what I believe happen to me too. I would have never thought that the clip-on sunglasses I bought from Zenni Optical would scratch my glasses.

    This company needs to pay more attention to what their clients come back with and should stop using their 30 day warranty as an excuse. How do they come up with the 30 days? It took over two weeks before I received the glasses from. They also should not be suggesting the clip-on sunglasses when they already have received complaints about. The way my call to them was handled shows to me that they do not care about having satisfying customers or have them coming back but they train their customer service staff how to get rid of us after we have made our purchase. Very unprofessional.

    Zenni Optical's return policy states that it can only offer 100% refunds for in-store credit, and 50% refunds otherwise after 24 hours. I ordered some prescription sunglasses because I lost an existing pair, but the next business day I found the existing pair, so I decided to cancel my order. Zenni Optical refused to offer a 100% cash refund to cancel the order, stating that the glasses had already been shipped from their "labs" in China. Glasses.com offers a 30-day no questions asked return policy. Why can Zenni not offer the same?

    A friend told me about Zenni Optical and we gave it a try back then. The cost was reasonable and we got our glasses within a couple of weeks, which beat the optometrist and optical place we had here in my town. And we have no problems with the glasses. I’ve been with them for a few years now. I got the plastic rim glasses and they are my regular everyday glasses. I bought the current pair of glasses I have now last November.     I have purchased Zenni glasses before and I guess I got lucky on that occasion. My most recent occasion was not so lucky. I ordered two pairs of glasses and one was an exact replacement of one that I had and broke after a few years. So the frame and lenses were supposed to be the exact same. Something isn't right about how they made the lenses this time because I can't see very well with them. The prescription was verified by my eye doctor, but he told me that it's very tricky to get progressives lines correct. I don't really understand it. I just know that I can't use this pair of glasses, and the prescription is supposedly correct so I'm stuck with them.

    UPDATED ON 07/31/2017: After purchasing two pairs of glasses in May 2017, one was found to not meet inspection and they offered to remake. Since returning the remake, as they were even worse, I've been in a continuous holding pattern with Zenni for a month. I get the same status with every call or email, that the glasses are awaiting inspection and that it will be another day. I've heard or read that 8 times since I have sent the glasses back. My glasses are progressives. Yes, they are a lot cheaper but if you rely on your glasses this may not be the place to purchase them. In the meantime, I've had to go purchase glasses elsewhere. Buyer beware that you are taking a risk and may lose your money. It looks like I will have to dispute with credit card company.

    I wear transition lenses and I wanted a cheap pair of single vision glasses for sitting and watching TV. I ordered a pair from Zenni. The process was fairly easy and they had all the variety so I thought it would be great. Their product was fine but the frame separated so I contacted them. They sent a replacement pair at no charge and they also sent me a little eyeglass kit. But it didn't fit the screws into things so I had to buy another kit to replace it. But I couldn't get the lens to fit in there and it looks like the lens and the frame they sent was too small. So when I contacted them about it, they told me I needed to ship it back. I asked if they could send me a shipping label and they said no. They wanted me to pay for it and said if it was their problem, they would then fix it and send it back. It made me feel like I was stupid and that's not the way I like to be treated.

    When I tried to contact them on the phone, I hung up 'cause of the 20-minute waiting and there's one where I had to wait for 40 minutes. I put that on their email and it took two days before they got back to me. So I deleted them from my emails and I wanted no more contact with them. They are done. Their customer service and relations sucked. Also, they said the glasses are very cheap but it didn't end up as cheap as I thought because there were all kinds of hidden fees which bugged me a little bit. But I expected that 'cause that's the way most people deal these days. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with Zenni.

    The first time we order the glasses we did the order wrong due to the complex order format that Zenni had. Zenni gave us 100% store credit so we reorder them correctly with a new format that Zenni had obtain on their web and an operator on the phone. We received the glasses and my mother saw double. I decided to take the work order and the glasses to our optometrist to check the lens... Come to find out the glasses had the wrong measurements and the set was too low. Plus they advice us to go to another place to obtain the glasses because the material that Zenni was using was of poor quality.

    I called up Zenni and they stated that their policy was only to give store credit. So I decided that we had paid enough; I asked them to send a return label and to have the glasses redone but the operator stated that she couldn't make that decision and that a supervisor will call me back within an hour. So far no phone call and it's now 9:00 p.m. Tomorrow will be another day and I'll deal with them again.

    I ordered a pair of glasses from Zenni Optical using measurements from my previous glasses for frame #7810723. They cost me $85 CAD. On May 14 they were completed. A few days went by and they hadn't been shipped yet, so I called the customer service. The rep was hesitant but eventually told me the glasses are made in China and get shipped to the US after being made. That's strike 1. I looked through the full website before ordering and nowhere did it say these are made in China. The rep even directed me to a page on the website showing a picture of the facility they are made in, but again, nowhere does it say they are made in China. He had the nerve to tell me 90% of glasses are made there. Okay? So that means 10% aren't. I thought Zenni wasn't.

    I got the glasses today, May 26th, and they are AWFUL. The frames are way too tight (even though I used measurements from my previous pair), the frames are also incredibly cheap. The lenses are YELLOW??? And the prescription is either wrong or the PD is wrong because I cannot see anything through the glasses. Basically they are unusable.

    I go online and find THIS website of people saying Zenni has a history of this and doesn't give refunds. Great. I called customer service and the rep apologized for my inconvenience. First she said the lenses I chose are supposed to be yellow? Then later she said they weren't? I repeated my prescription to her and people were yelling in the background of the call center. She said that's what they put in the glasses. She said I could send the glasses back (on my own dime), they would inspect them. If something was wrong, they would replace the glasses (don't want that option because the frames are crap and don't fit). If the glasses were correct (in their opinion), they would send them back. So basically, they're telling me I have to pay $15 to ship them the glasses, when they're just going to ship them back. Then I'll be out $100! I don't want either of these options.

    Okay, then send the glasses back and we'll give you a 100% store credit, or 50% refund on your credit card. Why would I want store credit when I wanted glasses NOT MADE IN CHINA??? It's pretty clear they still make money if you take the store credit because they overcharge for shipping, and would rather do that than just refund you the full amount. It's bull. I want my full $84 back. Any other company with a reputable customer service policy would send me a return shipping label, and refund me the full amount.

    The glasses are wrong on every level, and they want to dance around instead of just resolving this quickly. Never mind that you can't tag them in posts on Facebook or post on their wall because it gets deleted or they have it closed. I want my money back. Zenni misrepresents themselves as an American company but they glasses are made in China. They sent me crap but don't want to refund me. Pure garbage. Never order from this company.

    I have ordered from Zenni 4 times now. 2 of those times, the glasses I ordered had to be returned and I was issued a store credit. I had checked the box that indicated that I would be using the store credit to replace the pairs that I had sent back. Come to find out, they charged my VISA again. When I called customer service (was initially told 7 minute wait time, I waited 15 minutes) the person I spoke with said since my glasses had already shipped and would be arriving tomorrow, it was store policy that there was nothing they could do. I'm sorry - store policy to ignore your customer's request to use a store credit and charge a VISA card. The CSR offered a call back from a supervisor within 24 - 48 hours. WHAT? Fine.

    Later on, I went on to the website and requested an online chat. I had the window up on my screen and in the chat box it said, "A representative will be connected, please be patient." And then... "We are still trying to connect you, please be patient. If you don't want to wait, please Leave Message. Thank you." And then. "The service is not available, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." WAIT WHAT? Then I got a pop up message, "The representative has already left this conversation". There was no conversation! Once I get my money back - I'm done with Zenni.

    I am very unhappy with the quality of the progressive lenses I received. I have new glasses through LensCrafters where I got my eye exam and they work great. I decided to order sunglasses through Zenni using the same prescription with a very comparable frame and the Zenni lenses make me nauseous. I can see only through a very small portion in the lens. I sent them back and they determined the lenses were manufactured correctly. I don't believe that to be possible when my Lenscrafters lenses are great. Zenni will only refund 50%.

    Somebody told me about Zenni and it was a great deal so I ordered quite a few pairs of glasses (about 14) from them. Usually in the fall, when my Flex Spending Account is coming due and I have money to spend, then I get new glasses. I've even bought my daughter glasses using my Flex Spending Account. I have a lot of Wayfarer style and a lot of all the old fashioned kind of horn-rimmed, where they’re half plastic and half wire frame. Majority of what I have is the aviator style sunglasses in different colors and styles. I have to go to pretty big glasses size-wise so I have to get the temple length right on the side of the frame which kinda limits my selection a little bit.     Just received my replacement order, 1 pair of progressive glasses and 1 pair of progressive sunglasses neither of which has the correct prescription. I returned 2 pair and was give 100% credit, to only get back the same thing in a different frame. These glasses are terrible. I cannot see anything near or far. They are horrible. Now I have to return them again to get another credit for only 50% this time. I really need my whole amount back or the correct glasses. I will not recommend Zenni to anyone and will never use them again.

    I was a regular customer of Zenni Optical for years and was happy with their service. Lately they made a mistake and lenses had no cylinder and one could not see with them. I complained, returned the lenses for inspection and Zenni wrote to me the following: "According to our supervisor, we cannot inspect just the lenses. Concerning your case, we can return the lenses back to you or discard them. Thank you for your understanding." This ended our relationship and meanwhile I discovered Firmoo and Eyebuydirect, where I buy my glasses now.

    I used to go to America’s Best. They had the little special buy one pair, get one free and their glasses will be warrantied for a year, but every pair that I bought from them would fall apart as soon as that one year was up. There was a consumer specialist here at Georgia about 6 years ago and he made these recommendations you should try. So, I took the specialist's recommendation and I ordered some glasses from Zenni Optical and I fell in love with them. They have cheaper and quality products. On top of that, I still have glasses because my prescription changed from 5 years ago but the frame was still intact.

    Ordering is easy, especially once you know your dimensions and then you'll know what sizes to look for. You also need to know your prescription, pupillary distance, your temple launch, the bridge and then lens width and height. I usually purchase full rim, mixed materials frame and square shaped is the style I like because it looks good on me. You have a certain time limit if you don't like the frames. There have been a couple of frames that I didn't like because the tint was too dark. I sent them back and then I ordered another pair without the tint. If I had an issue, I email them and they respond quickly and take care of the issue.

    One of the requirements in my prescription due to my astigmatism is the anti-reflective coating and it felt well with every pair that I've ever purchased. It was good and I don't see glares. Also, the overall price is good because my most recent purchase was three pairs for $200. One pair anywhere else can cost you $200. I get the upcharge for having to have the extra strength lenses and anti-reflecting coatings. Other than that, I also recommended Zenni to multiple people including my family and friends.

    I have worn glasses for 40+ years and in that time have probably had 20 sets of lenses. I have never had lenses scratch as badly and quickly as these from Zenni Optical. Both lenses have significant scratches over most of their surface after less than 2 months. I've not changed my routine or been in any sort of accident that would have caused this damage, also my work, personal, and lens cleaning activities have not changed. The only theory that I have is that the clip-on sunglasses that I bought with the glasses are causing the problem. Even though they are a thin plastic I suspect that they may be causing the scratches when I put them on and take them off. Also the corners where the clip-on pads touch the lenses seem to be particularly badly scratched.

    I contacted first time Zenni on 4/24. I heard nothing back. The second time I got the following response: "We are sorry you are having trouble with your glasses. Our warranty period is 30 days from the date they are received. Unfortunately, the glasses in this order are beyond our return warranty. Any issues should be addressed 30 days warranty period. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I got these sometime in late March and now it is early May, and it's been too long. I'm sorry they didn't scratch on the first day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

    A friend told me about Zenni Optical and I've used them for years. I usually go with their plastic frames for I like the way the nose fits.     Amazing quality, even for those of us terrible eyesight. My prescription changes every year as my eyes get worse and from here I'm usually out 500-1000 euros a year depending on if I have the lenses slimmed or not.     I thought trying this company would take the place of not having time (travel most weeks) to go to some vision center and pick frames.     My colleague had a beautiful pair of glasses on, so I asked where they were from. He then told me about Zenni, so I checked it out. I now have five pairs from them and my favorite are the ones that look like the horn-rimmed sort with gold underneath the eyes. They look retro and they used to be worn in the '60s.     I ordered 2 pairs of prescription glasses both with the same prescription and as soon as I received them I could tell they were wrong. I took them to my eye doctor and he said that they were both incorrect and wrote notes about what was wrong with each pair. I sent the glasses and notes back to Zenni Optical for them to inspect and they are saying that only 1 pair is incorrect and the other is fine. I want a refund since they will not correct the pair that they say is "correct" even after my doctor stating that they weren't and that I should not wear them. I know they only give 50% refunds but I want a full refund since they clearly don't know what they are doing. Save your money and time and buy glasses somewhere else.

    I have bought off this site for a long time. The prices are good but as everyone else has stated the frames leave a bit to be desired. I bought 2 pair and received them 2 weeks ago. They have both broken not through misuse but poor manufacturing. They will send out 2 replacement frames and I can fix it myself. I think if you buy a pair of glasses and they break either they repair them or replace them. As they are really China based then repair is out. Do the right thing, don't sell lines that are not up to use. Luckily they are not the only ones selling online.

    My wife and I have ordered 10 pair of glasses from Zenni over the past two years. We ordered three pairs a month ago and all three were made wrong. Zenni insists that they are made right. They are trying to say I just can't adjust to where they put the change between distance and reading due to where they put the change on the lens. The frames and lenses are the exact frames I ordered last year and I had no problems see out of those lenses. We sent the glasses back. Zenni insists the glasses are accurate and they won't fix them. We have lost $285. We don't feel the replacements will be any better. The company basically calls you a liar if you have problems. I agree with others saying their quality has decreased in the last year. They don't realize that people want a company if there is a problem that they will fix it without a hassle.     Zenni Optical have the price and the style I was searching for so I purchased from them. I've used every function that I can including returns and exchanges.     I was a student at City College of San Francisco and had been searching for glasses. There was an ad that popped up on Facebook and it was Zenni. Then they posted something that they'll be at the City College. They were supposed to come to City College on October the 4th of last year, but they ended up not showing up. So I emailed them and told them I was trying to come and they didn’t show up. They told me they went to a different campus from the main Ocean campus.

    They came on the 6th and how it worked with the bus was you go on the bus and they give you an eye exam. They do this laser thing where you put your chin on it, and they look at your eye. Then they get the prescription. They give you the range. It turns out that my optometrist gave me the wrong prescription. It was slightly off. So Zenni’s was better. Then you try on glasses on the bus and it allows you to order stuff online from the bus. It was cool. The people on the bus were also nice. I met one of the designers for the glasses, and asked if she can make some heart-shaped glasses. I also asked if she can make some stars and she said stars are harder to make but she'll figure it out.

    When they came, they were giving a pair with a little coupon and I was trying to tell as many people as possible to go. All they had to pay for was shipping if they decide to do something extravagant with their glasses. The lasers are free if one does the basic ones. To me, having a pair of glasses is great. I ended up getting the glasses for completely free including shipping. I bought more glasses aside from the coupons that I received. I received a coupon first then they sent me an email like apologizing for the delay of the bus. So then they ended up sending me a certificate to get another pair of glasses. I also have done the customization. I ordered a pair of lavender glasses. I got the transitional lenses and got my name engraved on the inside of the glasses. I also got this super cool protector thing on my glasses. I had a fantastic experience.

    The two pairs of Zenni that I have, I wear them alternately depending on how I'm feeling and the color of my outfit. The lens fell out on one pair but I just popped them back in and they worked just fine. Zenni is great and I love them. I've been telling everybody about them. I've been the hardcore promo person for Zenni. My boss bought eight pairs of new glasses within the last year. Every time she orders, she spends at least $100 and it covers for about four pairs of glasses.

    I used the tool to try on glasses and ordered a pair that looked great. When they arrived, they were absolutely enormous and stuck out at either side of my face. I spoke with customer service, and they said that I shouldn't have trusted the tool on the site and should've used a tape measure instead to guess how the glasses would fit. They then said they would only refund half the cost and I had to pay my own shipping, both ways. Beware – this site is cheap for a reason!

They obviously have outsourced and don't realize how unbelievably rude their support staff sound as they attempt to type in English.     I gave it 2 stars because the glasses are ok for the price BUT if anything goes wrong, you're poop out of luck. Instead of fixing it they tell you it's your fault for not knowing your specs as if you're an opt. They will ask you to buy another pair 1/2 off. There's a man in customer service with a strong accent, barely speaks English, is beyond rude and unprofessional. My lens fell out because the plastic broke while I was cleaning the lens. He told me I can buy another pair half off or they can send me another frame but I have to put the lens in. I told him, NO, what I can do is mail it back on their dime and they can fix it. He hung up on me. Actually they're all rude. Don't spend big money in this company because if there's a prob...it's too bad for the customer. They won't fix it.     I saw Zenni on TV and placed the order with them for my 16-year-old daughter. By the time that I went to our authorized VSP provider, it would have cost me more to order through my insurance than through Zenni, even though I'm supposed to have really good insurance.     My old man told me about Zenni Optical. He's retired and had to get some glasses economically. I bought from Zenni two Harry Potter glasses -- big round ones. They're pretty cool. I've also bought a pair of the John Lennon style, round, perch sunglasses with a heavy tint. They go with my motorcycle that I just bought. I like to ride around with them and look cool.

    I uploaded the PDF of my prescription to their website. The PD measure was something that I could have used a little bit better descriptively. But I didn't know what it was and apparently it's the distance between my pupils. I did a Google search on how to measure it freehand, which is really not as accurate as going through an eye doctor because my eye doctor didn't put that particular number on the prescription. I did a measurement and it wasn't too much of a mess-up. I'd recommend Zenni. It's just that if you go to an eye doctor, you pay a couple of $100 with insurance, you go to Zenni, you pay less than $100 without insurance.

    A friend recommended Zenni Optical to me. I'm used to spending $400- $600 per glass and when I can find them online and have all different colors, it's fabulous. They have too many choices and I sometimes spend too much time looking at glasses. My kids and I have ordered 30 or 40 pairs altogether. l do the full rim because I like the way it feels on my face better than anything else. And usually a plastic frame instead of the metal with metal head things on the nose pads. Even for prescription sunglasses, I ordered some from there too. I've gotten prescription glasses for $6.95 shipped and the most expensive ones are like $30, $35. They are way cheaper than others.

    In addition, their customer service is excellent. When I order online, I'd pick a pair of glasses and I'd fit it to the picture of my face online. There's a time when I got what I ordered, they were too small for my face. I sent them back and they were cool about it. Once I figured out what size really looked best on me, I've had no issue and haven't had to return any ever since. We love Zenni and I recommend them to people all the time.

    I have been purchasing glasses online for years. I know the width, sizes, and prescriptions I need. I bought a pair from Zenni and they are made with the bridge and earpieces in line, which means they sit low on my face, like bifocals. The top of the frame runs right across my eyesight. If I push them up to the top of my nose, they smush my eyelashes and are way too close. Their only option is a partial refund – 50% of MYB purchase, minus my shipping, plus I pay to ship them back. So, I'd get about 1/4 of my money back!?

    They try to say I measured wrong, or it was something on my part, but I ordered the same specs I always order. Holding them up to my current glasses, they are the same width. It's the way these frames were made. I've never had a company not honor their quality or have such poor customer service when it comes to online glasses, and I've ordered from several. If it's their error, they make it right. I feel Zenni is a complete ripoff. You have to hope you get a good pair; otherwise, it's on you. I'll stick with Goggles4u or Coastal.

    I wondered how Zenni could make a pair of bifocals without a careful measurement of my eyes. The answer is, they can't. I ordered the largest frames I could to allow for the most room to accommodate the two different focal lengths. When I first received the glasses, I had considerable vertigo. I attributed that to the new prescription and the fact that I hadn't changed my glasses in five years or more; but things have hardly improved. My mid-distance vision, especially, is always blurry. I can't go to the supermarket anymore because I can't read the shelf tags. I can only drive by digging my chin into my chest and looking through the top 5mm or so of the lenses. It's pretty much the same with reading. I can only read by tipping my head all the way back and staring through the very bottom of the lenses; and even that doesn't always work.

    As best as I can figure, the "transition line" seems centered on my pupils, so everything I see is distorted. The price was great, but when the glasses are so poor that they're unusable, they're not worth the price, no matter how good it was. I'm going to take my prescription to a local optical shop and get a pair of glasses I can see with. And never shop at Zenni again.

    When I first checked out Zenni, I was amazed and thought, "How can they offer such low prices and the same quality and glasses costing hundreds more?" Answer: they can't. When I got my first pair I was pleased. Then the frames separated after a year, but they are still usable. In the meantime, I talked my wife and son into pairs from them. My son's glasses had the screws fall out after a couple of months. But the big part is the lenses scratch easily and I got the anti-scratch coating. The transition lens seems to be just a coating that has come off where the scratches are, so there are white spots after the lenses turn dark.

    My wife ordered 3 pairs and one of the pairs did not have the correct prescription, which they fixed. I have ordered 4 pairs - 2 prescription with bifocals and 2 for reading music and computer work. As I mentioned the one pair had come apart and it's hard to describe what happened but they are wearable. The other bifocal pair, the bifocal part of the lens has scratches just on the bifocal part and I am not rough with my glasses. The music reading and computer glasses have been fine. So, as others have mentioned, the style selections are so/so and the quality, I feel, is mediocre, but the price is an allure.

    Tried to order a simple pair of reading glasses from Zenni upon the personal recommendation of a friend. I have used EyeBuyDirect for years without any issues. I was told Zenni ran 25% less for eyewear. I submitted my order online as instructed. Zenni made and shipped the glasses. I ordered READING glasses and Zenni made and sent DISTANCE glasses. I included my complete MD's script with my order. Zenni misread the script or misread my instructions. How stupid is that? We went back and forth with direct and pointed emails and Zenni would not compromise. I had ALL my emails and in fact I did order READING glasses. Zenni's attitude and cooperation was poor at best and lousy. They cared very little I was a new customer or that their existing customer had recommended them to me.

    Don't do business with Zenni. Stay clear of these people. By my recent experience they care nothing for the customer satisfaction or simple business courtesy or ethics. Went back to EyeBuyDirect and I was glad that I did. Zenni earns every criticism and every negative review they get. I'm sure they must get plenty. Stay away and spend your money somewhere else but not with Zenni Optical. How did they resolve the error? Mailed me back my glasses after I had to pay to ship them back for "evaluation." Zenni NEVER offered to refund my money or rebate my shipping costs or do anything reasonable except on their exclusive terms. What a lousy business experience!

    I have ordered 2 pair of glasses from Zenni, a pair of sunglasses and prescription glasses using my eye Dr's prescription. The sunglasses work so so, the normal eye glasses do not, and I think that's because two reasons. 1) The lenses is curved and 2) there is bifocals in them. Some people have an awesome experience with them. I think it's best to just pay the money and go see an actual eye Dr. So my experience has never been good with Zenni.

    The guy I work for told me about Zenni Optical. He heard about it from the Clark Howard's radio program, where he explains deals and how to save money. My whole life, I have always gotten half-rim type glasses. The good thing about Zenni is that I can experiment because it's so cheap. I have very little to lose. They didn't always have the color that I wanted so I've been experimenting with different colors. One thing I do is that I'd make my own prescriptions because I have an unusual condition with my eyes that even though my overall prescription doesn't change. It's not a straight line from how far away it is to how poorly I see. It's a curve and the curve changes. It's really weird and there's no way of pinning that down. So for $20 I can guess and so far, I've guessed okay. It has probably been 5 times that I have ordered glasses from them.

    Another reason I use Zenni is that depending on how far away you are or the thing that I'm looking at, I need a different kind of glasses. So I get different styles so I know which ones for what distance. So I went on their website and found the style that I used for far, but I couldn't find the one that I used for close. So I went back to my old order, found the number for it, typed it in and it took me right to it. That was troublesome. Also, when I buy glasses, I also order shaded clip-ons. A couple of times, the clip-ons will wear out before the glasses so I had to contact their customer service. Their website wasn't set up for selling glasses without clip-ons but they sent me a work-around. They really went out of the way to figure out how to help me with that. Every time order glasses, I just order a whole lot of clip-ons.

    Their website's also difficult to navigate through. Last time I went on the website, I don't remember being able to see categories. Or if I did, I didn't see any categories that applied to me. Also, there wasn't a way of seeing everything because before, they had a whole lot of selections, but they were all grouped. So if I started at the beginning and scroll down, I could see the basic plastic ones. And then some of them kind of colors and then it would go to something else. I can't do that any more. I could not find what I was looking for by using the categories on the website. It's just a lot of things where they think is a step forward but in reality, it's two steps backwards. But the product is great and the price is the best around.

    I have now ordered 4 pairs of glasses from Zenni, for my husband and I. The glasses were inexpensive and are of decent quality. The frames are sturdy and nice looking (one pair were a little more plastic looking than expected, but that style worked perfect for my dorky husband). I've never had an expensive pair of glasses, but for the significant price difference, I don't think there can be that much of a difference in quality. We even ordered transitional lenses and they work perfectly and were hundreds of dollars less than at my optometrist's office.

    Purchased a pair of glasses with progressive lenses. The transition was pretty good after a couple of days. What bothered me was the website showed the glasses with a magnetic sunglass snap-on.     Purchased these #170111 men's prescription frame new on 100116. Worn only for distance/driving. Worn on short strap around his neck. They broke at the nose piece while he was wearing them. Just fell off his face while he was at work. Broke 1st week of Dec/2016. I contacted Zenni on the 11th & submitted for a replacement frame on 121616. Received the replacement frames on 123116. These frames just broke while he was at work. Again fell off while he was wearing them. He works in a hardware store, in sales. Nothing outdoors or heavy physical stuff to endanger the glasses.

    This company had been recommended to me by a coworker and I love the look of the frames but they only last a couple months. Temple kept falling off of them. 2nd pair arrived from another order and found that the 1st pair was not even the correct ones. ZENNI CS agents tried to make it work but had to send them back to get them to understand the problem. When they received them they said they weren't built by them and they did not ship them.     Pretty long time for receiving my order. They make eyeglasses in one place, then send them to another and only after that ship to you. Lenses were off by about 0.5. Returned glasses for store credit. It's already 4 days after they received my return but no refund yet. Contacted Customer Service twice (by email and chat) BEFORE my order was shipped and it was fast and easy with very professional customer service BUT when I tried to contact them for Return issue, it is nightmare. No response on email nor chat at all and, to reach them by phone, I need to spend 1-2 hours on phone with no resolution.     It's time to stop paying high prices for glasses. There's no reason for it other than these people that sell them for $350 a pair are greedy. So I applaud Zenni. You can’t freaking beat their price. Thank you Zenni Optical for keeping the price low, because glasses are a necessity, not a luxury. But at their prices I could afford to buy some for luxury.

    My glasses normally cost over $350, but for $110 plus shipping I got photo-transition lenses, the frame, the clip-on for the sunglasses, lens reduction and thickness option, which is a high index, and anti-scratch coating. So I'm happy. It’s not worth getting the anti-scratch coating at all though. It creates more problems than it actually prevents. I have three pairs from Zenni already that have a bunch on swirls on them and they’re hazy. It’s because the coating wears off too easy and then what you're looking at is actually the coating wearing off. I've had to replace glasses every six months because of it. I'm now thinking to remove the anti-scratch coating using some kind of glass etching stuff which will take the entire coating off. If it works, great, I accomplished saving three pair of glasses from the trash.

    I also had to buy new frames because the nose bridge supports are really frail. And it is extremely difficult to get the new lenses in. I’ve been wearing glasses all my life and I do all my own glasses repair and I couldn’t do it. So I had to take it down to a professional and have them do it. But other than that my experience with Zenni was all good. I've recommended them to a lot of people. All the glasses I wear are stylish and people have commented on them, and I've made a couple of sales for Zenni talking to other people about their fantastic prices and good shipping time.

    If Zenni had more stylish knock offs with popular styles and brands I would buy glasses just to have a different style to wear for dressing up in a suit or a sport or casual dining. I'm the kind of guy who likes to have a pair of glasses in every vehicle that I own, a pair of glasses just for working and a pair of glasses for what I'm wearing. I would like more selection. I'm looking for different shapes. Something that looks like a cat's eye. Something you don't see everyday. A cross between sunglasses and glasses with style, because I'm tired of the normal-shaped glasses. Maybe if they could knock off those really expensive style of glasses, it would be great. Because I’ve found a couple of pair I’d really like to buy and they’re unique and stylish, but the frames alone are $300.

However, over the last year, there has been a significant decline in both the product as well as customer service. I've ordered three pairs within the past year. The first pair was an incorrect size but the hassle of sending the eyeglasses back didn't seem worth the small price I paid (under $25). When I said that wasn't acceptable and I'd like to speak to a manager, the call was disconnected. I then tried their live chat. Even though their site says live chat is available, I waited 20 minutes with no response. Zenni Optical seems to gloss over any mistakes they make and offer nothing in return. Their customer service is pretty abysmal.

    I will NEVER order from this place again. 3 times I have tried with them and I'm done. This third time I used my credit. THEY NEVER answer their phone. Their answering service tells you less than 14 min then when you sit and wait it turns into 18 min and 45 min. They ship from CHINA which should give you an idea on how LONG it takes. I paid extra this last time and I'M STILL WAITING with no answers!!! They do not send you emails with tracking, nothing. The worst is when you try to get a hold of them!! IT IS NOT WORTH SAVING MONEY when you waste so much time trying to get hold of them... Save yourself a huge headache and buy from Walmart optical or some other reduced price optical place.

    I ordered a pair of glasses (with progressive lenses) from Zenni on January 9th and had them delivered January 21st. I paid the extra ~$4 for priority shipping to get them as quick as possible. Well with the exception that they have a lot of purple and blue reflections (to others), I loved them so much I ordered a second pair on February 13th. This time I did not pay the priority shipping as I didn't need them in a rush. Well they arrived today, February 27th. Paying $4 more, I received them only 2 days earlier than the basic shipping?!? Now with that said $4 isn't that much, however, it seems like a cash grab that people ought to be aware of. If you need your glasses fast, they do have a ~$19 express shipping option that is supposed to get them to you in under 10 days.

    I had a friend that I stayed abroad with and she would wear different glasses with her outfits. I asked her how she had a million dollars for all those glasses and she said that she was using Zenni. I had eye insurance through my employer but it covered one single glasses. I already have glasses but I wanted prescription sunglasses so I decided to use Zenni for that. Ordering online was very easy but I don't do it very often and only for some friends and family members. The latest order I had was a pair of sunglasses with a cat eye frame. It was cute and big and would block more sun things. I also got the anti-reflective coating so that I don't see my eye reflected in it. A lot of other ones are usually more expensive so I got that slapped on. Overall, it's very reasonable with good quality so I splurged on it. It was a very convenient, high quality and inexpensive experience with Zenni.

    Zenni Optical has really great pricing and a wide selection but that comes at a cost. I ordered two pairs of glasses and they never came. My package was marked as shipped and delivered yet nothing. The company gave me the runaround for a week (the allotted time since I paid for express shipping) and eventually said that I took too long to receive a refund. This was outrageous because I called them the day of said delivery and they said they couldn't do anything until Friday. Once Friday came I called immediately after UPS business hours ended and they told me to call next Tuesday. Tuesday came and the best they could do was reship the order.

    I had to request that UPS confirm delivery with a signature on the next visit alone to avoid this same situation. Ultimately I went two weeks with no glasses because this company couldn't keep track of a package they shipped. I wouldn't do business with them again if it is a matter of needing quick glasses. If you have time to sit around and wait for your ability to see then by all means buy with them. If not, you're better off spending the average $150-200 on two pairs and getting them next day at a local place.

    I bought from Zenni Optical because of their price. I got the rimless glasses the first time, then a pair that has the bar across the top, and sunglasses that have a full rim. My first order was perfect. However, when I ordered three pairs two years later, all three were wrong. Their customer service was very nice, though. They let me pick different frames and got them right out to me. Zenni gave me 100% store credit and since I wanted more glasses anyway, I didn’t want my money back. Overall, the glasses are fabulous and the best ever. Whenever anybody talks about glasses, I say, “Zenni Optical, man. Go to the ophthalmologist, get your script, and don’t forget your PB.”
