I was a regular customer of Vitacost. We recently purchased a product and had to cancel the order. Our online account showed the order as "Not Yet Shipped". We contacted customer service through Chat to cancel the order. We were told that it had already shipped. I asked why it showed as "Not Yet Shipped" and the person said it had not yet updated which is nonsense. I asked how I could return the item once received and the person said that they are no longer accepting returns because of COVID. Really? No longer accepting returns.
I think these companies are using COVID as an excuse for everything. If they can ACCEPT boxes from the manufacturers to sell their products, why can't they accept a return? There is no evidence from the CDC of germs living on boxes... They have now lost a customer and we will refuse the package and dispute the charge. What a hassle. These companies better smarten up if they want to stay in business because AMAZON is blowing them away... Amazon provides a HASSLE-FREE shopping experience and accepts any type of return. Hey Vitacost, I guess Amazon boxes have some magic formula to resist COVID huh??

Prior to a few months ago I would have given Vitacost.com a 5 star review in all areas, including product selection, pricing, promptness, quality, etc, but now can only give them a 2 star. About 6 weeks ago I placed a 2nd order in less than 2 weeks, and that order has yet to ship. I contact Vitacost about this via their online chat session, and their response was to call their 800 number, but no one answers. You can easily hold several hours with no hopes of anyone ever answering the phone. My bank has been charged for this order which was supposed to be a gift for someone, but the order has never been shipped.
Other problems are that Vitacost now only uses FedEx home which doesn't deliver to mail boxes, and their website isn't smart enough to alert their back office that FedEx doesn't have a contract with USPS and therefore the package can't be delivered. In one case FedEx attempted delivery in Brookings, OR, and then sent the package to the billing address in Camas after the package was refused, and it was refused again. At that point Fed Ex called me even though the package was more than a month overdue, and they agreed to ship it to the bay area. And with respect to requested new product offerings, Vitacost.com now routinely tells customers to call the manufacturer, and not them. Now how is that for customer service. This company isn't what they used to be.

Vitacost website has zero security. Also they stated that they don't save your credit cards, but they do. And the worse, they don't even try to help! They don't have separate fraud department, you are waiting on line for 30-40 mins for reg. rep, and then the rep says, they can with that matter. Yes they have good prices, however, after my account was hacked, I paid much much higher price. Be careful!

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received on my order this morning. I thought I had a coupon for 20% off that was sent to me at the end of last month as a "We've missed you". But it expired. On Sunday evening around 7:30pm CST I placed A $300 order and at 8 am the next morning I received a coupon for 10% off my order. I called to see if they would honor the 10% coupon since it was less than 24 hours. Danielle the from customer service said they could not honor the discount. I asked to speak to someone else. She said she was talking to her supervisor who also said they could not back date the discount. Had I know that the coupon would be in my email the next morning I would have waited.
I said I would like to cancel my order. She said it was shipped. I was on the website when she said that and the status was processing. No tracking number. Nothing. Being lied to is not a good policy for a company. I definitely will be writing a review on the company and it will not be favorable. With all the competition in this market you would think you would rather save a customer for $30 than lose one.

I usually buy organic food products from Vitacost, but I rarely buy since there is a required $49 purchase to get free shipping. The quality and expiration dates are good, though. Prices are high, so I usually try to shop sales.

For each supplement or vitamin you can click, and open up a screen with all the information you need about the product and reviews to help you decide. They often have Buy one/Get one on some products, free shipping when you spend $29.00 or most or special offers of free shipping.

Really great prices. Their own line of vitamins are really inexpensive. I have been getting my D3/K2 here for years as well as many other supplements. For brand names, you won't find better prices anywhere. They don't have as many discounts as they once did. But you can still get them from time to time. Shipping is FAST. COVID-19 has impacted them a bit, but overall they have done a great job.

Vitacost gives discount codes periodically but does not have a rewards/loyalty program. It would be useful to have one that enables customers to accumulate reward points and exchange them in future purchases. Overall, Vitacost offers good quality products, competitive prices and reliable delivery. Their customer service team is flexible and willing to accommodate customers’ requests.

I really think they have one of the easiest websites to maneuver. I get almost all my vitamins from them and like many of their brand name vitamins. Most of the vitamins are cheaper on this site than on other sites as I often compare to try to save money and usually end up back on Vitacost. I haven’t had to return many products so not sure on that part..

Have used them for over 20 years. Excellent products for great prices; huge selection. In addition they give discount sales; bogo item sales; quick free shipping on over $49 orders. Have used their brand as well as other such as Solaray.

I love their fish oil! No gross burps! I review vitamins online to ensure I'm taking the best product for the best price. It wouldn't make sense to pay money for a poor quality vitamin! You might as well throw your money down the drain.

Vitacost's delivery service is excellent. I generally get my order within 3 or 4 days at the most. Product selection is good along with the prices. There isn't a reward systems that I'm aware of; however they have sales and bonuses.

Two orders placed, one on 4/11, another on 4/22. Assured delivery 8-20 days. It has now been 70 DAYS. Absolutely no relief or compensation offered, customer service issues automated non-culpability replies. No tracking. I have dealt with numerous vendors and delivery options from US to MX and have never been literally stolen from as with Vitacost. $110 theft. NEVER use this sham company!

They must have a lot of great employees...to have such a pleasing experience again & again. Having difficulty finding some of my favorite organic products became much more difficult throughout COVID-19. I stumbled across Vitacost accidentally - so many great finds! Due to the world's current circumstance, I would be extra forgiving with shipping delays. But these folks are on the ball! Orders are timely, I'm getting products I was unable to find for some time... I am thrilled to have my "favorites" back in my life. Their promptness is an absolute bonus. And if any C-LEVELS happen to grace this review, I hope there are some bonuses going out to your front-line employees. That's coming from someone who seldomly has or makes time for reviews. But your staff EARNED this one!

I really like this company. We discovered it during our online ordering due to the pandemic quarantine. We really like all the products we ordered. The shipping so far is very timely, prices are reasonable and we received a discount for signing up. This company packages their products very carefully. We like how easy it is to order and will continue to order online and avoid the other places we were buying similar products from such as Whole Foods and Boise Co-op.

I am an international customer. I purchased some supplements from Vitacost. At the beginning they canceled some of items. After that I wanted to cancel all the items. Because I wanted them in one package. But they told me cancellation not available after 15 minutes of purchasing time. Can you believe that. Just 15 minutes after purchasing. Anyway I started to wait my package. 45 days passed and my order never left the country. In this 45 days, I contacted Vitacost customer service several times. They shutted down the conversation to my face 2 times. At last, they told me 45 days after purchasing they can start an investigation and pay back if I couldn't get it. Now 45 days past and I contacted their agent. First one told me time period is 60 days. I told her she was wrong. It was 45 days. Then shutted down the conversation again. They are changing the rules and I believe that they will not pay me back. And I couldn't get my order. I hope you will think twice when you purchase from Vitacost.

I advice international customers against ordering from Vitacost because you may not get all the items ordered. In stock status on their page is not reliable. Ordering the missing (cancelled by Vitacost) items again means double shipping and customs costs, which amounts to more than 20 USD. There is no flexibility when it comes to problems like missing items. No possibility to order a different brand if the ordered one is not in stock, holding the order until everything is available or canceling the order.
I only placed the order because I needed Vitamin A and Vitacost had the in stock status for the desired brand. Because of customs procedure my orders always have a value around 160 USD. About two hours after placing the order I received e-mail notification that 2 items with the total value over 30 USD were cancelled. One of them was vitamin A. I tried to solve the problem through the chat service but all I received was the answer that it's only possible to make changes 15 minutes after placing the order. I can understand mistakes happen. It has happened with other merchants, too. But with others the problems were always solved satisfactorily. Vitacost only offered me 5 USD discount on my next order. No, thanks. There will not be any next orders from me. The last one was costly enough.

Do you think they can match the US dollars into Canadian? Over 2 hours selecting items and typing information Including credit card information, And after the order was placed - after the money was withdrawn My 80$ order was 120$. Nowhere did it say anything about any of the Above information. I even typed in Canadian shipping, The price was not once indicated *anywhere- Even after complete payment confirmation. It showed 80$. That is totally wrong And leads to customer frustration. Hours of lost time- And having to finally after all that Having to cancel the order. The website needs to be updated. That is totally wrong! Very unprofessional website With regards to pricing.

Your order they do not tell you it is out of stock before cancelling the out of stock items, but still charging you full shipping and sending out other items without your input. Customer service is unreachable via phone or email. Chat is always offline. Stick to iHerb or any other supplement website, Vitacost is a fly by night, greedy company. They are using the coronavirus as an excuse to not accept cancellations, refunds, returns, or even provide you an exchange, but they don't tell you this before you check out! Scam artists at best. Expect NO customer service, give your money to a place that will respond to you and not randomly cancel parts of your order. The extra cents per product is worth going to other REPUTABLE vitamin shops, with websites not from 1997 like Vitacost.

I had looked in groceries, big box retail, chain pharmacies, and online for Sambucus Gummies, to no avail. Vitacost had them. I ordered on a Saturday or Sunday night, and I had them on Thursday. I am truly impressed! I saw there have been some negative reviews, but I will definitely order from them again. Plus, I read that Kroger owns them, and I have had good experiences with Kroger.

Early this year I purchased one item from Vitacost and I was very pleased with that experience. Recently I ordered 7 items from Vitacost. Ordering was not easy because I had problems with the site allowing me to return to a department to continue shopping after I placed an item in my cart. What should have taken minutes took almost 2 hours. I hung in there because some of my purchases were items I wanted to TRY to determine if I would be pleased to add to my Paleo lifestyle.
When I finally got to the area to select a payment method, I wanted to delete my previously used credit card and add a new one. This took 4 attempts before the system would accept the information. Twice it dumped all the identifying information and I was required to complete it all. One time it refused to allow me to enter the new card info and wouldn't accept the expiration date from the new card. Finally, I was able to place my order. Within the 15 minute window, I added some cookies I hadn't known Vitacost carried by EDITING my order. I attempted to contact Customer Service the next day to make sure my order was correct and got an automated message advising of their hours of operation which I was good on the time of contact attempts.
There was a statement regarding shipping delays up to 15 days due to the Covid-19 issues so I thought I would be able to check in with Customer Service, and was very upset that I was unable to reach CS by phone or chat. When I attempted to look at the order on their site, I saw only the corrected order. Imagine my delight when after only 2 days I received 2 boxes from Vitacost. Inside each box there were the same identical things.
Again I was unable to reach Customer Service by any mean. Returning to the site under Services provided by CS I was only able to find an area to Replace or Refund items. There is no Return Policy on the site and I was unable to find a Return Policy after making a direct request from Google. The policy states they will not accept returns under any circumstances due to possible Covid-19 exposure. If they had this on their Home Page, I certainly would have been more diligent about DELETING not EDITING my order.
Now I am being charged close to $300 dollars and I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income that didn't plan for it and have 2 new Crockpots, 40 granola bars, 4 boxes of tea I don't even know if I like. By the way, there was an order summary in each box with two different order numbers and magically there are two summaries on my account where previously there was just one. Needless to say, due to the site navigation issues, lack of upfront policy, and inability to reach Customer Service, I will not ever visit or purchase from Vitacost again. This is very unethical treatment.

Be VERY careful with VITACOST products. I ordered 6 bottles of their Tart Cherry and it came today, EXPIRES in 13 days!!!! They are selling health products as "new" but they are outdated and OLD! At 1 TSP per day I won't finish one bottle before all six are expired. Don't buy VITACOST products. When I "chatted" on their website with customer service he said they would NOT let me send them back. THEY SAID THAT THEIR POLICY IS THAT THEY SELL PRODUCTS THAT MAY EXPIRE IN 35 DAYS! I can't find anywhere it says that on their website when they take your money. OLD. Outdated and no refunds. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Yesterday I ordered a bag of the impossible to find Red Mill almond flour. The site said expect a delay to their normal 2 day delivery after the order is processed. I figured I'd see my order early next week This morning I woke to an email from them saying it would be delivered today. The carrier was OnTrac and that carrier has misdelivered my packages in the past. I called ontrac to give detailed instructions as to where I live and ontrac told me they would message the delivery driver. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best!
I had all day to kill so for giggles I looked up reviews on Vitacost. Needless to say I was shocked! I read how people never got their order, wrong items sent, no customer service or the ability to get a refund. At that point I was ready to call my CC company to have them deal with this sure to be disaster!! But.... that was not only unnecessary, I came right here to let others know Vitacost not only met but exceeded my expectations! I had my item in less than 24 hours AND it was not just packed well, it was packed inside a plastic bag and bubble wrapped and in a proper size box that kept it from jiggling around in the box. Ontrac did their job too by delivering it within the window their tracking promised and the driver rang my bell when he put it on my front steps.
I can't speak to others who had problems with Vitacost but my experience was outstanding and I'll be ordering from them again!! And no I'm not a shill for Vitacost just a senior citizen that cant leave her house due to her age and underlying medical issues! I'm sure this company isn't been perfect, no company. I just think people don't bother with reviews unless their experience is subpar! Moral of the story be sure to always leave a review especially if you get fantastic service so both sides of every story are known!!

Placed an order yesterday after consulting with customer service. They gave me inadequate information and as a result I order one wrong item. I called back to correct it but their switchboard had just closed. Tried to correct the order online but there was no option to do so. Called today to correct but they said they could not replace the item. Absolutely wouldn't budge after speaking with a supervisor. They were completely unhelpful. Wouldn't even honor the discount I was originally given if I wanted to place a new order for the right item. Furious! Will never buy from them again!

Vitacost sent a purchase to the wrong address 2 times and would not correct it in any way! The first time I figured it was my mistake and took the hit because I was not sending to my default. The second time I was uber careful and triple-checked where it was to be sent on the very last screen and it still went to the wrong address. The worst part is that customer service refused to take responsibility or help.

After changing my primary vendor for multiple supplements to Vitacost and mostly satisfied with the products, a descriptive inquiry to customer service returned a response. Very apparent that the representative had not even read my submission nor referred to their records before providing me a standard pat response. Glad I learned this fact before giving them more business. Bad show Vitacost.

I ordered products overseas and chose products that should have been able to pass customs. But they didn't because from the product names on the invoice it was not clear that the products were plant based so my order was returned to Vitacost (in good order). I contacted Vitacost and Vitacost let me know that they will/could not change or add info to the invoice (to resend it) and I was not eligible for a refund because I should have been more careful in what I ordered. No products and money lost. I do not advise to order with Vitacost. J.

Vitacost is showing IN STOCK items, while in fact, they are OUT OF STOCK. They charge your credit card but you don't hear from them. Their "chat" is closed and they cannot be reached via email: This is just plain dishonest!

Do not order from this website. They are the worst! Customer service sucks, they speak super hood/**, don't articulate which makes them hard to understand, and they completely make up things. The guy managed to transform what I said from "I check out as a guest. I don't have an account" to "I used my sister's account". Clearly the person I had over the phone was on something else to completely re-invent what I am saying. I never mentioned a sister I do not have, I never used someone else's account, I do not have an account and should not be given the option to check out as a guest if it is not possible to place an order with you as guest!

Customer service has gotten really bad. Recently placed an order but put it the wrong mailing address by mistake. There was no way to edit to order once it was placed. I immediately emailed them and never receive a response (their website claims you will receive a response within 24 hours). I then used their chat option to speak with someone and explained the situation and I was told the address was changed. Vitacost did nothing and mailed the order to the wrong address after all was said and done. Waste of my time and energy. Will not order from them anymore.

I placed two orders with Vitacost amounting to a few hundred dollars. These were never received. Vitacost have refused to refund me saying it's their Courier's fault. I also run a service business and value my reputation above all else. Obviously Vitacost operate on a different premise where profits are more important than customer satisfaction.

I usually order from iHerb and ventured here because iHerb didn't have some specific item in stock. At first glance it seemed very similar, so I went ahead with my order. They use DHL, much like iHerb, for international orders, and the shipping price is also similar. However, lo and behold, apparently they don't use DHL express service, but instead opt for something called "DHL Packet International" - never heard of it before. Essentially, it's slower than USPS economy, no tracking beyond destination country entry point, and can't file a claim until 60 days (!) have passed from time of shipping. 21 days in, my order has yet to arrive, and there's nothing they will do to help. iHerb orders rarely take more than 6 days to arrive.

I am going out of my way to find a place online to rave about this company and found this site. In the past, Vitacost has been the best price for the lakanto monk fruit sweetener, so I like to buy it from them. They always had fast free shipping too. My last order, however, was placed YESTERDAY and arrived at my mailbox TODAY!! I am in awe. How on earth?? Well, all I can say is kudos to you, Vitacost! You win! Best online shopping experience POSSIBLE!! I also ordered Moon Cheese (yum) in gouda flavor, and Lily's chocolate almond bars with sea salt. I always get some kind of discount - oh and their coupons are LISTED ON THE WEBSITE so you don't have to search the net in another window while shopping! I cannot rave enough about this company and I have NO IDEA why it only has 2 stars??? It makes no sense. How could they possibly do better than having the BEST PRICES and the FASTEST FREE SHIPPING?

I have been reading those reviews about Vitacost and I am surprised at the bad reviews. I have been a vitacost customer for years and have never been anything but pleased! Pleased with products, delivery, and customer service. Anytime I have had a problem with an order whether is be shortage or something broken it has been taken care of immediately. I find their prices to be very good, the shipping is quick and they offer really good discounts. I give them 5 stars.... and No I do not work for Vitacost!

I purchased this product and the bag said it yields roughly 6 servings but after measuring exact to the amount provided by the bag details on the back, I only got 2.5 servings. False advertisement. After contacting the company regarding this issue they said that since I didn't purchase the product direct from their site, they were not able to assist me. Instead of providing a solution to the issue they just said to go back to Kroger for a refund. Kroger is not the parent company of Vitacost and does not package this product. They would have nothing to do with this matter. Don't waste your money on something that isn't accurate. $7 for a 6oz bag of pistachios and I'm not getting what's advertised, RIPOFF!

I'd purchased from Vitacost for years and spent thousands. And if you don't research you own shipping address any hacker or fraudster can rip you off and the company will not make good. I've been hacked before and an ethical company ALWAYS stands by a trusted long time customer. NOT VITACOST! They stand by the swindler and say "delivered". NO ONE researches their own address having ordered dozens of times and I didn't, Now I am out $200 and a hacker rewarded because of the unethical politics of Vitacost. Let the buyer beware - you're on your own. DO NOT BUY FROM VITACOST! They turned me from a fan to a foe!

We ordered 12 2 lb jars of raw organic honey in total about 144.00, Fedex delivered, but 11 of the glass jars were not wrapped in paper at all, just shipped in original cardboard (2) 6 pcs and then placed in Vitacost cardboard box. No "fragile" on the outside either. After much emailing, arguing, crying, sending the pics, they refuse to refund or replace. We are just shocked, and saddened, by their display of corporate greed putting profits over customer satisfaction. The website states in many places "Our Promise: Love your shopping experience or we'll make things right." But it's a lie. We are elderly and sick and feel discriminated against.

I have been buying vitamins & health food for over 20 years, and I have never had such poor experiences as I have had with Vitacost. On one order, they charged my card, said the item was shipped/sent tracking number but nothing came. The tracking number stated item never arrived at shipping office. After a very long time searching for a customer service number (and never finding one), I did the chat and was told that the item was out of stock in the warehouse. Really?! They were just gonna charge me & never send it. On another occasion, they sent the wrong items (4 boxes), and after a very lengthy & arduous return process, I am STILL waiting for a refund. Ridiculous. Better off going with Vitamin Shoppe, Bodybuilding.com or any local health/vitamin store.

Placed an order online, received confirmation email, but never a shipping confirmation. Tried to track order on site, but kept getting an error. Emailed, received a reply that “upon review” my order was being held and “requires additional verification”? I see upon reading reviews here that this is not an isolated incident. Email says I can call customer service from 9am-8pm, but when I call I get an automated message saying they’re open until 6pm. Would anyone have contacted me about my order being held had I not reached out myself??

I bought vitamins from Vitacost worth $230 and was expecting that the products will be shipped to me. After 5 days of no shipment. I started contacting vita cost. I never received any other from them. For over one month we have been having email exchange, so I can get a refund or a gift voucher. Their customer service line a major HOAX. Be warned. If anything goes wrong with your shipment you will only get very vague responses and YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK OR A GIFT VOUCHER FROM THEM.

We have used Vitacost for years and have always been pleased with their products. In the past week we had a delivery that the driver dumped on the mulch in our front yard next to the curb. I called Vitacost to complain and the lady had the nerve to blow off the problem and tell me that I would have to put specific delivery instructions for it to be delivered to our porch... un-stinking-believable! P.S. the delivery company is "On Track" and they could not be more off track if they tried!
Then, today we had a second delivery from them and the idiot driver again dumped the cardboard delivery box with the vitamins on the mulch in our driveway instead of delivering it to the porch. We have a circular driveway so it is easy for delivery trucks to drive up adjacent to the porch (Amazon does it all the time without problem). Yet Vitacost delivery services (and, apparently, Vitacost itself) have such low regard for customer service that they will not deliver like "normal" people would.
I'm going to seek out the products we buy from Vitacost from a different vendor in the future. I'm not going to call them again because they just plain don't give a rip and hire rude customer service people. Maybe if they cleaned up their act their customer service people would not be beaten up all the time and might be more friendly to their (clearly shrinking) clientele. Vitacost management: are you listening? Shareholders: are you listening?

Last night, 12/09/2019, I tried to place an order and change my delivery address. Due to the Vitacost website I had problems changing my address so cancelled after my third attempt. I emptied my cart, logged off and gone. I checked my bank account and discovered I had 3 pending payments, all in the same amount, for my single order I was trying to take care of. I immediately called Vitacost, was told the charges would be dropped in 3 to 4 days, etc. I explained the entire story twice, I couldn’t afford that long wait for their faulty website and got nowhere real fast.
Went to my bank twice today, read the Vitacost baloney emails, called them 3 more times, called my bank again.....and here I am still with 3 separate pending payments of $33.71 each for one order I never placed per what the Vitacost website told me. The bank says the payments need to be cancelled by the vendor. Vitacost kept telling me the bank is holding my money. I’ve been buying from Vitacost a very long time, but this will be my last visit. They’ve become so ridiculous and petty.

Yesterday, I wrote a negative review regarding charges for an order I made. This morning, I checked my bank account, and the 2 incorrect charges were reversed. I am happy this happened. I am still a little annoyed that Vitacost charged me 3 times for 1 order. But they refunded the 2 excess charges.

I ordered 2 items for $18.95. I was charged 3 times. I called customer service. They told me I could be charged once for the item and another time for a pre-authorization charge. When I told the rep I was charged 3 times, she said I should contact my bank to remove the charges. This is ridiculous. I am very disappointed with this company.

I have been buying Vitacost products for years and always got free shipping to Canada if I bought over $49.00. Well I ordered again in November 2019 only to find out that the shipping company that used to deliver to Canada (Landmark) was changed to FedEx. Instead of getting free shipping, I was charged $9.99. On top of this, FedEx does not deliver after 5:00 pm in my area which means that I have to pay for a taxi to get my package at their drop off place that is closest to me. I ended up not saving anything on this large purchase. I was very upset that I was not notified by Vitacost that there had been a change in delivery companies before I paid for my order. It would have been a simple thing to flag customers about a change in policy and that free delivery is no longer available even if you buy more than $49.00 worth of products!

I was weary to purchase from VitaCost because so many bad reviews had been left about their posting time and orders to Australia. So I was truly shocked to have my item arrive FOUR days after ordering from America! They had the lowest price on the StarWest Botanicals loose leaf tea that I can’t get here and will definitely feel comfortable to use them again in the future. Just felt this amazing postage speed was worthy of a good review so other customers can have a little faith if they find something on their site they want to purchase. I usually use iHerb but even their postage takes over a week, closer to two!

I have used vitacost for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. I have purchased various supplements, health care items, food, & other miscellaneous items and have NEVER been disappointed. Their products truly are less expensive than found on most online or health food stores. Over the past 10 years, I have found their customer service to be wonderful. Any order issues (which have been very few over the past 10 years) I have incurred have always been dealt with promptly, efficiently & professionally. If you have ever had a problem with your order, I kindly ask you to give them a second chance. I LOVE Vitacost & place monthly orders from them & will continue. Great job Vitacost! I bought 20 items from them. First of all they send my products very late almost 10 days. And some of the boxes were opened. I afraid to use them because they were smelling very bad. To keep it short, placed an order, 1 month later nothing received. Contacted customer service and got copy/paste reply to wait for another 15 days, ie 45 days. Replied and suggested they either send again, follow up with postal service, refund or I would file for chargeback, Response I received was same copy/paste as original response. Normal delivery time is 2 weeks.

I've place many orders with Vitacost in the past 2 years ($1,326.72 worth of purchases) and on 09/06/2019 I submitted a product review for "Sunbiotics Just 4 Kids! Potent Probiotics with Organic Prebiotics Powder Banana" flavor (sku 700621537359). This was my first and only product review I have submitted to Vitacost. I read Vitacost's policy regarding product reviews first so I was clear about what I can submit and what I cannot. My review of this product was critical and I wanted to be careful about what I submitted so it would be posted to the website without problems.
I do not have the original review I submitted but I did say that the powder turned to cement and I was unable to use it even after scraping it with a fork to try and loosen up the powder. I felt this information was valuable to prospective buyers because if I knew it was going to turn rock hard I would have bought something else. There were two prior reviews on the website for this product, both giving the product 5 stars and spoke about how much they liked the product. This is why I bought it. I contacted customer service numerous times (after 1 month, after 6 weeks, then 8 weeks) to ask when my review would be posted and each time I never got an answer. Vitacost's customer service is poor and each time the representatives were unconcerned and uninterested with my issue.
After complaining AGAIN someone responded and said if I change the word "cement" in my review to "hard" then it would probably be approved. I asked for a copy of my review and they wouldn't give me a copy. They stated I'd have to submit a brand new review with the correct wording and see if it would be approved. If I had never contacted Vitacost pursuing the question of "where is my review", they were never going to contact me to let me know there was a problem with the submission. I find these business practice outrageous and feel it is a ploy to encourage customers to "give up" on getting their review posted.
Vitacost posts biased reviews that are misleading to the public that don't accurately reflect unfavorable personal experience with a product. This makes it very difficult for a prospective buyer to make an informed decision when deciding which products to purchase. Vitacost does not value customer feedback and does not provide a unbiased shopping experience for their customers.

I love Vistacost! I’ve been using them for over 2 years, and I had never had a bad experience with them, and I submit an order at least once a month! One time they sent me something that was broken and they replaced it right away! I can find anything and everything I need there and they always have the best prices, specially because they are always doing promos and sales! I always find the vitamins, specific foods, and supplements I need! I’m so glad I found them!

I learned over 20 yrs ago this company is not only trustworthy, it has great products at terrific prices and has never been a problem. I have switched from big name brands to mostly their own products because they are just as good if not better in some instances and developed by physicians and research. Because my old email, phone, and credit cards had been hacked earlier this year on the internet, I just now learned about negativity for VitaCost. I would sooner check the security of our internet than the capable productivity of this company. They have always been outstanding and I'm opening a new account now!

Vitacost is my go to for great deals on organic foods I can’t always find. Usually prices are cheaper than stores and they do discounts and promo codes often. They always deliver Super fast. Faster then anywhere else I order. Only had an issue with a damaged item on occasion and they will refund almost immediately or send a new one. They are an amazing company. I never leave reviews but felt compelled when I saw how poorly they are rated when I know better. Can’t understand the negative reviews. I rate them higher then anyone out there (Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, etc) in customer service, shipping speed, packaging everything securely, and prices. Can’t find a Single bad thing to say about Vitacost!

They cancelled my order, after 5 hours of purchase, because they said all my order which was like 6 products were out of stock. Went again and check their site all the products were on stock. I have my doubts that they did not want to honor a coupon for 20%. In any case I contacted the "customer care" Glenn. Could not care less, distracted, asked me the same thing again and again, blame departments, did not apologize, and just disconnected himself from the chat. It seems that they are not professional or trustworthy.

To Vitacost's credit, they do have good prices on products and they ship them quickly! But beware of getting double and triple charged. They don’t do it on purpose but there is nothing they can do about it when it happens. They say it has to be settled with the bank. Vitacost caused the problem but the bank has to fix the problem and it takes 3 to 5 days for that to happen and get the funds back into your account. This has happened to me twice in less than two months. If you place an order, use a PC or laptop. Their app doesn’t work well for ordering. I am hoping someone in charge at Vitacost will see this that will actually look into it and get it fixed because the customer service agents can’t do anything except apologize.

We have repeatedly received boxes from Vitacost that have product randomly and carelessly thrown into the box. Their customer service specializes in giving a hassle rather than correcting mistakes. I am sure they are aware of how terrible their warehouse packers are~~their way to deal with it is to deny refunds even when pictures are sent. They've had 3 strikes from us--they are out!

I have ordered from Vitacost several times, but this is the first time I have had a problem. Many of the capsules are less than half full! I submitted a review on the Vitacost website, complete with pictures, and received an email that it was sent for moderation. That was a month ago, and the review was never posted, nor was I ever contacted by the company about this obvious lack of quality control. A reputable company would not want to lose a customer and would value feedback that highlights an issue, but I now realize that Vitacost simply doesn't care, and will not publish an excessive number of bad reviews of their products. These are NOT CHEAP! A bottle costs $24.86, so over 10 cents per capsule. When one takes into account that as many as half of the capsules are half full or less, the price becomes exceedingly high! Not to mention that you cannot get a standardized dose of the product when the quality is so poor.

I recently placed an order with Swanson Vitamins and I just got curious to find out if Vitacost had cleaned up their act, so I checked out the reviews and it is clear that they haven't. A few years ago I got sucked in by their lower prices, so I placed a large order with them, over $600 worth. Although my credit card was billed for the total amount, I received only part of my order. I kept emailing customer service but they didn't reply to the majority of my emails, at some point they sent me another incomplete portion of my order, and then they never replied to my emails again. In the end I lost about $120, which was about 20% of the total amount. Pretty lucrative business. They are an extremely dishonest business, anyone will be better off staying away from them!

Every time I order from Vitacost, the next day they send me an email offering 20% off if I place an order within a 3 day window. At first I was always thinking that if I had just waited one more day I would have gotten those emails and the discount. Now I realize that it is predictable and deliberate, and only designed to get a big spender to order even more. After yesterday's order and today's email discount, I contacted them but was not able to get a price adjustment on yesterday's order even though it hasn't even been processed or shipped. The customer assistance associate said he "understood my complaint and was there anything else he could help me with"? Except he hadn't helped with anything at all. My advice is only order from this company if you want to feel like you missed out on something every time you order.

I found Vitacost approximately 25 years ago. They had the very best (lowest) prices across the board. I recommended them to all of my friends. I did my research to find out how they had a good rating from ConsumerLab.com. They are in the top ten of "top-rated supplement merchants" per "overall consumer satisfaction". BUT...as the years passed by their prices no longer were the best. Their customer service was never good with accurate information that was offered was never consistent.
In the beginning, I always paid with PayPal no problem. As they began changing their website my ability to use PayPal became impossible. If I wanted to use auto-refill you flat out could not use PayPal when years ago it was never an issue. At one point a new grocery store opened where Vitacost was contracted to manage the vitamin department. I was thrilled but then I saw that the selection of vitamins that I needed was seriously lacking. The staff managing the department also lacked accurate knowledge about supplements they were selling and the pricing did not match the prices on their website. I got so frustrated I stopped using Vitacost altogether.

I have been a loyal customer of Vitacost for many years (and many dollars). Recently they had a summer promotion where if you spent $100 you'd receive $25 back (Vitacost never has promos like this), so of course I spent $100. I checked my e-mail every day and did not see the coupon. Went away for a week on vacation and when I came back checked my e-mail for the coupon and they sent it ONE day before it expired...and of course it had already expired by the time I finally found the e-mail. I called and requested an extension on the coupon...and was told NO!!! I'm sorry but that is shady business. At least give customers ample time to use the rewards and/or mail the coupons. With all the great companies online selling the same crap as Vitacost no need to stick with one that is just plain greedy.

Instead of giving a discount for $30 Vitacost has ingeniously made an offer of a $30 discount when you place a $100 order. So I did. But wait! You get the coupon in an email, good for for three days. Now Vitacost sends me two to three emails a day, and I did not see the $30 coupon email and looked thru my trash and my inbox and never found it. So this 'bet' Vitacost has for customers not seeing the email, not getting the order placed in the time frame, makes the CEOs even richer.
There has been three other times that 'cleaver' coupons meant that I did not get the discount for products I needed to order and had waited for a chance to save some money for expensive supplements. No one in customer service has any resolution suggests or sympathy in any of the situations. I used to use Vitacost once a month, and loved their quick delivery and numerous coupons and discounts online. NO MORE. The company got sold I was told and things radically changed. I DO NOT recommend this company any longer. Find another discount outlet.

July 19 - I placed my order. Normal. It was about a $50 order. July 21 - 2 days later I got an email to "confirm" ALL the information in my order (billing address, shipping address, last 4 digits of my CC number, everything...). July 22 - I find this suspicious. I chat with customer service and they assure me it's real and there is no issue with my order, I just need to reply to the email I received and the order will be fulfilled. I said OK, and I did reply to the email, double checked all the information requested was in the response. OK. Done, great. July 25 - I wonder where my package is so I check the status of my order... CANCELLED. I chat with customer service. Why? Because they didn't receive my email. How is it possible to not receive my email? They don't know. But I can place my order again if I want. What??? Not using Vitacost.com ever again. What a frustrating experience.

I bought thousands of dollars of products from Vitacost and referred many friends over many years. A happy faithful customer. Then one day in May 2019 they offered a promotion. Spend $100. Get a $25 credit to spend in the future. Nothing in fine print. Said the customer had only 2 days to spend the credit or when it would be coming. I was traveling for a week and the $25 credit promotion came and went. I called, asked for the credit when I got home and checked my email and found out about it, but they refused. I said, "It was a scam, basically a dishonest promotion to get people to buy products," because they didn’t disclose when the credit would come and that it expired after 2 days. I let them know that as a long time loyal customer I no longer will be shopping there due to the lack of ethics. They didn’t care one bit. So I disabled my account permanently.
For them it was honoring a $25 commitment they made in exchange for thousands of dollars of business and many referrals more. But they were adamant. No exceptions. The promotion was over no exceptions, and they did not disclose the rules like they should have. I wondered how many people like me spent $100 just to get the promotion only to find out later it was a tactic to get people to spend but evade keeping their part of the deal? Well I prefer doing business with companies that are more straightforward and willing to honor commitments and have better customer service. Sadly, that was goodbye for me.

Has Vitacost hired the 2009 trolls who were hired at iHerb and started destroying every shipment there? This has been happening as of JUNE 2019. BEWARE FAITHFUL SHOPPERS! If you haven't bought in a while, THINGS HAVE CHANGED FOR THE WORST, FOLKS! I have been ordering for a couple years, well over $100 each order, every 4-6 weeks. The last 2 orders were dreadfully packed: several heavy jars crushed the chocolate to tiny pieces as everything was loose and tossed around. Same thing today! I received 2nd such order since June 2019. Whereas in the past everything was packed with extreme care, EVERY SINGLE bottle of pills, EVERYTHING was packed with bubble wrap or double accordion paper. Now they only wrapped the food jars and tossed everything together. It is a disgrace, CRUSHED AND UNUSABLE!
The chocolates, the pills, the cosmetics, small glass jars of oils, liquid plastic jars arrived all tossed around, crushed and destroyed. How am I going to request a refund for all that? On top of that, OnTrac didn't deliver till past 8pm. At only 81F in my area, my box arrived with the items boiling hot inside. I tried a chocolate candy, it tasted bland and terrible! The plastic from the bottle of course has by now leached onto the very expensive liquid I purchased! Hard to salvage anything, even if it looks ok, we are gravely ill and with allergies!
I can't show in a photo the plastic leaching onto the liquid but do you want to spend $16 for an item that will now give you cancer!? FOR SHAME VITACOST and ONTRAC! No valid reason why pack so carelessly and deliver past 8pm! I RECOMMEND EVERYONE who receives their package in such UNACCEPTABLE CONDITION TO PHONE VITACOST or email them AND COMPLAIN and REQUEST REFUNDS. The NEW packing department millennial NEED FIRING! If you hate your job, go work somewhere else. We paid expensive costs for our orders! EDIT: It's now over half hour I ate the paleo candy, and experiencing gastric pain. NOT GOOD!

I placed an order June 7th. On June 10th, the order showed delivered. I was home at the time FedEx allegedly delivered to my door, and had been checking for the package periodically throughout the day. On the 11th, I reported the issue to FedEx, who determine within three days that the package was lost, and they were at fault (drivers are supposed to deliver to the leasing office, or leave a notice and try to redeliver). They told me to contact Vitacost to initiate lost package claim proceedings. I called Vitacost, provided the FedEx case number, and was told the issue would be resolved in 3-6 business days.
It’s now been three weeks and the company is refusing to give me any answer as to (1) when I will receive a credit and (2) why I have not yet received a credit. A couple of notes: FedEx typically investigates these claims and issues a check for goods within 7-10 business days. I know this because of the industry I work in, and having personally filed several claims over the years. Also, if I would have just ordered this product from a Amazon (or any other reasonable firm that does care about their customers), they would have replaced my order immediately. Every time I contact Vitacost, they say “we’re still investigating”. It has now been a month. Do yourself a favor - buy from a firm that cares about their customers and has better service recovery!

I’ve been ordering from Vitacost for years. Couple months ago there charged me twice on a order. So I contacted them and they said it was a hold on my CC. After explaining to them that it wasn’t a hold per my cc company they refuse to take off the charge. It was almost a $400.00 order. So had to call my cc company again and dispute the charge as Vitacost would not take it off. Seriously they expected to me to pay a double charge. I was pretty shocked and disappointed as I have always had great experiences ordering from them.
I figured I would give them another chance so I went to place a order and received a confirmation and a week later still no boxes arrived. I called and they canceled my order because of the situation that happen a couple months ago. I took time out of my busy day to shop and then have to call and wait 10min on the phone for them to tell me I can no longer order from them. Such a disappointment in a company. As a busy mom I don’t have time for this kind of bad business ethics.

First time order from Vitacost and it was the worst. Ordered on May 14th and on May 15th received the order number confirmation. With no word on tracking by EOD 15th, I used the "chat" option in their website in which I spoke with a fellow named Ryan who said my order was never processed on the website due to a "site error". Said that I would have to call in to give authorization to have my card charged. I decided to start my road trip early 7 am 16th (many of the items were for a road trip with my kiddos) and went into my local Walmart to purchase most of the items that I planned on getting from Vitacost. I received an email from Ryan 11 am 16th stating that he was mistaken and that my order would actually be processed and shipped "most likely by tomorrow", which would be Sat 17th. After I'm clear into PA I get an email at 2 pm stating that Vitacost had delivered my shipment. Like... what???
I called to confirm exactly what the heck was going on and got treated as if I had made the mistake. The rep told me that "I should have known that I would get charged if I ordered online". I swiftly told the nitwit, that, this theory would apply HAD I NOT BEEN TOLD BY A REP, that I WAS NOT CHARGED. I shop online for 90% of the items in my home and I guarantee that you can receive and order number but your shipment/items no yet be charged to your card. I spoke with a "manager" who told me that I wouldn't do any good to contact corporate because it would just get routed back to her (manager). Vitacost is now telling me as of 16th, that I would have to wait for Monday 19th to see what is going on with my refund. Disgusting display of customer service, even after CLEAR and cited misinformation from a Vitacost employee.

I tried reordering some vitamins that came to a total of 102.56. The website kept saying that my address is invalid and to update it (even though I ordered from VItacost before to the same address). Each time the site asked me to update my address, they removed $102.56 from my account. A total of 5 times. When I called back today and spoke with Betty, she told me (without getting my account information) not to worry, that this has happened before and the money will be credited to my account. I asked to speak with a supervisor and spoke with Greg, who told me we would call my bank together and that I will answer all of the security questions that my bank asks me (while he is on the phone with me), and then he will tell them to put the money back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I am contacting BBB, Consumer Affairs and reviewing them on every possible website. There is definitely fraud going on here.

Vitacost uses OnTrac for this shipping in my area. Shipping is fast however, they do not knock on the door for delivery service and my stuff have been either arrived broken or I receive the wrong item, each time I report it. Someone rep from Vitacost named "Rewanda" leaves me her name and number on my voicemail regarding my account. I returned her call a few minutes later. I found out the number she left me was not her direct line, you get transferred several times, and suddenly I was informed she is not there and another Vitacost rep wants to "write" my name and number down? If it's serious e-mail me, why can't I leave her voicemail if it's so important?

I've ordered from Vitacost every once in a while across the span of the past 2 years and often there were items that arrived damaged. As the company advertises a flexible return policy I contacted their customer support each time I received damaged products. Their support staff treated me like a swindler. It's fascinating they didn't choose to improve the manner in which they package items at the warehouse, because damaged product deliveries continued after I raised my concerns. They also maintained their flexible return policy in this time...and yet I was treated like a second-rate shopper when I wanted them to keep their promise on their company policy. Either aim to deliver intact items or stop antagonizing customers who expect you will follow through on your word.

I used to order from them every month faithfully. Some months back several common items of THEIR OWN brand would always be out of stock. I took a break until today when I logged on to find it's the same. The first three items I looked up to order are out of stock! THEIR OWN dish soap, THEIR OWN toilet bowl cleaner and Mrs. Meyer's laundry scent. The last time I logged on, I wanted some of their own brand of supplements, cinnamon and turmeric... Nope, out! I'm done with Vitacost. Very disappointed they don't have these very common items. See yourself some time and go down to your corner Whole Foods or Sprouts.

I've been shopping at Vitacost for years online and have to say that their customer/order support is among the very best. If I ever had an issue with an item becoming damaged during the shipment process, I'll have to do is report the issue in 15 seconds and I'll be sent a replacement or refund within minutes; I don't even need to go through a lengthy customer support chat just to get this done; you can do this seamlessly within their past order interface. Plus, their prices and selection are among the best for organic, natural products.

I have been a customer for years and never had any issues except for my last 2 orders. First order I ordered many heavy items like flours and dish soap and such, and many small items as well, well when I opened the box, all of the heavy items were on top scattered and squished everything underneath, the flour was not packaged well so it had flour mess all over inside. Second package got it today, the box was actually opened and left on my doorstep, mind you I saw the carrier dropping it off on my ring so I was home, everything inside, scattered again, damaged items inside, not sure what is going on lately but not happy.

Though I’m an Amazon customer I am hesitant to purchase certain items from there because it looked, felt, smelt, fake. So when it comes to leaping bunny certified products I’d rather order from Vitacost. :) Their packaging has always been very thoughtful of the planet at times which I do appreciate. When an overseas shipment failed to arrive within a reasonable amount of time, I contacted customer support and asked for their assistance to help locate the package. Their canned response was to wait 60 days before we will help you if it still did not arrive. 2 weeks later I contact DHL their shipper, who used USPS to actually ship and they advised me that USPS never actually shipped the product and it never left the US and the package is lost and I needed to contact Vitacost, which I did.
The items ordered were time sensitive and I appealed to Vitacost customer support to either resend the package or give me a credit so I could order elsewhere. The response I received was that DHL-their selected carrier was often incorrect and there is nothing they would do before 60 days were up. No attempt was done to see what happened to the package. I received the same exact response from 3 agents which indicates that Vitacost customer support agents are reluctant or unmotivated to go beyond cutting and pasting prewritten FAQ responses.

I ordered 3 bags of GFB bites: Dark Chocolate Coconut. Great delivery time, however, the products were stale. I can tell because they were hard, difficult to chew, old! I get these all the time at a local store, and they should be soft! Was very very disappointed. Not worth it, when the products they give you are past the due date!

Over years of ordering from Vitacost, we have only had one problem with a Vitacost delivery. We ordered a case of Oat Milk and one of the boxes had been damaged in transit. Because each box of milk was in its own plastic bag, the milk did not spread throughout. I contacted customer service and immediately received another box to replace the leaking one. I was shocked at the negative reviews on this site because our experience has been so positive. No problems with any items we have ordered from Vitacost.

I have found out the hard way to check all expiration dates on all products from Vitacost. They have sent items that are very close to the expiration date with less than 2 months left. This is not acceptable and not professional. Most products should have a year or even two on the expiration date. Then, I am requested by Vitacost to return these items and told that I will have to wait over 3 weeks to get my refund. This is ridiculous.

I was happy with my first Vitacost experience, which happened to be on Black Friday. After my purchase, they sent me a 30% off Vitacost brand supplements coupon in the mail. To my delight, the supplements I wanted to buy were also BOGO 50% off. I stocked up my cart and was ready to get the BOGO deal PLUS my 30% off coupon! Well, I should've known it was too good to be true. After multiple times trying to check out, the website would just not work. I got error after error.
After contacting customer service, I got a response saying they were having website troubles and that now I should be able to make my purchase. Of course, by that time the BOGO sale was over! I wrote to customer service again and expressed the fact that I should have gotten those sales because I tried placing my order during the sale, and it was their site's technical issues that prevented me from doing so. Never heard back from them. Very disappointed, and they just lost a customer.

I have ordered 4 times over the past few years with orders exceeding $100 each time. On my latest order the total was for $148 and I ordered 3 large B Complex and 3 large E (cost over $136) with three smaller items just as add-ons simply because I had the order coming. The other items were literally not particularly necessary and only add ons. Because I am in Australia, I had to pay freight on the order discounted to $10, but freight nonetheless.
During my night I received an email saying the E had been removed from the order because it was out of stock. I immediately contacted Vitacost to tell them to HOLD the order and allow me to add a different E or cancel the order as it was a major part of my order. The next night they sent me an email saying their system didn't allow for a delay and the order was already processed. I also received ANOTHER Email saying the B was out of stock and had been removed from the order!
In other words I was now only receiving the three items I had added on simply because there was an order being sent and worse still was being charged $10 freight on those three items worth $12!!!! And before I could even respond to that I received ANOTHER email telling me the order had been dispatched! Vitacost's system is deeply flawed if it can allow that to happen - and it does! It is OBVIOUS you don't do that to a client. If you are removing a large chunk of the order you should advise and wait for their reply and if you DO have a system that doesn't allow that ANY items removed should be back ordered and sent freight free! They have lost me as a client and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you want a service that is reliable and has any sort of customer care. This mob border on criminal in that area!

I have now had four orders from Vitacost in less than 2 years show up with broken bottles, leaking all over everything. Each time I report it, they change their policy on how to get my money back. This last time, a large bottle of tamarind sauce (soy sauce essentially) came a broken mess. The shipper left it on a cushion outside and ruined the cushion. Everything else in the package was ruined. It was 26F outside and my husband and I had to deal with the mess on New Year Eve in the snow, as we couldn't bring the package inside due to leaking.
We took photos, did everything they asked for and all they did was refund under $4 for the soy sauce and have refused to cover anything else, including our ruined cushion, which is an $80 expense. I will never buy from them again. They are fine unless something comes ruined, and then they go out of their way to ignore you, and when you do get a hold of them, they blame the problem they caused by not packing correctly on the customer. Worst customer service ever.

Any positive review must be fake. Just beware. I ordered 2 quantity of 12 bags of chips so I should have received 24 bags total. They canceled one of my orders but still charged me the same price. They don't tell you if an order is cancelled. I found out by logging back into the site and the funny thing is the site didn't show I ordered 2 quantity of 12. It's like that 2nd quantity disappeared and no proof from me aside from my own eyes would know. They didn't send an order confirmation (shady) but their shipping email did show 2 quantity of 12 but they refused to acknowledge it. The guy I talked to on online chat ignored my question then abruptly ended the chat because I wouldn't drop the issue! This company is going to go out of business or face a lawsuit one day. I'll be laughing when it does.

So, I decided to take a risk and get it from an unknown company to me based in Florida! To my amazement, the package arrived sooner than expected and imagine over the weekend! Recently I had reordered Natural Astaxanthin and several other vitamins. When I opened the Astaxanthin all the capsules were covered in an oily red mess. I thought one of the caps must of ruptured. But closer inspection showed that most of the caps were coming apart. I couldn't think of how this might have happened, then I checked the sell by date. It was over 6 months after this jars expiration date. This was quite a shock, out of curiosity I checked the other vitamin I take every day. Over half of them were way beyond their exp. dates. Over the years I have been switching over to the Vitacost brands to save a little and had never before looked at the exp. date on any of them. Now I'm wondering just what I might have been taking for the last 10 years. If a company is sell their out of date merchandise how does one know if it is really what it claims to be.
Just a little background; I take 15 different vitamins daily, 2 omega3 oils, 3 mineral supplements. Some are name brands, most are Vitacost brands. All over the out of date jars were Vitacost, none were national brands. I was so shocked by this experience that I will never shop Vitacost again. My health is not worth my health. I do not trust Vitacost.

I have been ordering from this company (AZ & NM) for about 10 years maybe more. Their name products seem to be OK and other name brand products are discounted. There were no sales taxes charged until this month's order. It was the full local area tax not the state basic sales tax. I live in Prescott AZ area. I can't contact them at present by phone. I'm guessing because Kroger food stores have purchased the Vitacost company, we must pay sales taxes due to the Kroger stores in our area. Maybe I will order just enough to get free shipping and keep the taxes down! Oh well. It was a great deal but now it's not!

Placed an order for 7 items. Received two shipments, each of which said my 7th item was in another shipment. Look for third shipment/package but could not find. Went to website and discovered 5th item was cancelled - not by me but by Vitacost. Looked up item on their website and it showed item was in stock. Went to customer service chat to complain. Was told item "arrived on last night's truck". Wasn't sure I really believed them, but ok. Would you please send me the item? They would not fulfill my original order because the order was closed. Now I have to pay for shipping again. I complained. They did give me a coupon so I didn't have to pay for shipping on my reorder but I found the whole experience unpleasant. Items out of stock should automatically go and backorder and an email should be sent to the customer with the expected delivery date and an option to cancel the backorder.

I placed my order on Monday, November 19th at 4:00 pm, and by 10:30 am Tuesday, November 20th my order was at my front door. It traveled from Lexington, N.C. to Richmond, Va. -- a distance of 245 miles in 18.5 hours. The packaging was perfect; everything was carefully arranged in little bags, and/or within sanctioned cardboard protectors. As an environmentalist, I actually think the Vitacost may be too careful (but, I do save and reuse all of their packaging). I give them an A+ for excellent service. I am writing because I do not understand any negative ratings others may have given. I know from working in a service industry myself, that some people can never be pleased. They were born to complain, and they will expire that way.

This is a trustworthy company. They do not resell brands that are not authentic. You can count on getting the product you ordered and the companies providing them to this company are confident. They are represented accurately. This is unlike some other online offerings. I have only had one situation where an item had a problem that stemmed from the manufacturer. They were considerate, caring and immediately sent out a replacement. I mean immediately, I could not believe it.
I have never had issues with them, all good. I order monthly so I would know. Their items are very well packed, the items are all new and my confidence level to order from them is very high. I recently learned that all items on Amazon are not directly from the companies and when you see the company name, it does not mean it comes from the actual company. With this, the quality can vary and all independent sellers are not great. This is not the case with Vitacost. I have been using them for years now.

I made the mistake of ordering from this company once and they harass me with glossy catalogs and mailers and I have contacted customer service multiple times and they refuse to help me or make it stop without jumping through a bunch of hoops, but then the mail just starts again after a few months. I tried to write "refused, return to sender" on some of them, but the slimeballs just removed the return address from their glossy flyers so I can't send the garbage back to the creeps. I have been buying from Vitacost many years and have always been happy with the products and service. There are good promotions and coupons available. I live in CA so my orders typically arrive in 1 day. The orders come with the courier OnTrac and they deliver the boxes up a steep driveway to my door, very nice! Occasionally an item arrives damaged and Vitacost replaces or refunds it as soon as I inform them. I am surprised to see the negative reviews, but no company is perfect. I noticed one complaint was regarding the CA Prop 65 warning that appeared "only" on Vitacost products. I wanted to point out this warning shows up on many name brand products I buy, such as NOW Foods and others.
One company I called stated that even if one ingredient in their vitamins might possibly require the warning label, they just put the warning label on to cover themselves. The actual CA Prop 65 website states many companies apply the warning to protect themselves legally, even though there's no ingredients requiring the warning. I do have one concern now that I read a complaint about the "Best Buy" date on Vitacost brand nut butters. I looked at my VC Almond Butter and yup, the Best Buy date was 4 months after I purchased them.
I had stocked up and I would never be able to eat it all in 4 months, name brands usually have a longer date. I let Vitacost know I think the Best Buy date is too short and had I known, I would not have stocked up. They refunded my money on one order and replaced the product on another order with a fresher batch. I'll just make sure to not stock up so much next time, the dates seem to typically be 4-5 months out from date of purchase (based on mine and my sister's orders).

I made a purchase last night and this morning woke to an email that says part of my order was canceled because it was out of stock. I messaged a representative who told me it was out of stock on the west coast and that I would have to call the east coast warehouse and purchase it separately from them. I called and purchased it over the phone. I received a confirmation email, then an hour later, received another email, again saying it was canceled because it was out of stock. I call again and the woman was very rude and told me that there was only one of what I purchased available and someone else bought it right before me.
I'm sorry, but I purchased it the night before... It should have been sent to me. She told me there was nothing she could do. I told her I don't want to do business with their company and wanted to cancel my order. She then told me it has already shipped so there's nothing I can do besides return my order when I receive it. I told her I have not gotten any confirmation that it has shipped l, so she said "well it has. There's nothing I can do for you". Meanwhile, the full first order price is pending on my bank account, along with the payment I had to make over the phone.

First, the good: Competitive pricing. 2-day shipping from order to door. Spectacular deals if you sign up for their weekly newsletters. Some deals as much as $10 off any order or 30% off. Second, the bad: all the Vitacost products (at least for me) didn't work. I tried other brands and most had worked. Last, the ugly: Several Vitacost brand products were prompted the Proposition 65 warning during checkout, but other brands didn't. Again... avoid the Vitacost brand products. Other than that, as long as you're not buying Vitacost brand products, VitaCost is a great site for your supplements needs. Takeaway #1: Avoid Vitacost brand products. Vitacost uses Lasership an inferior delivery service! Lasership hires less than desirable people. I've watched this same person deliver packages to my home for some time. He saunters up the driveway to 5 steps (too lazy to walk up the steps) and pitches the box on to the porch. Same scenario every time! Yesterday he was forced to walk up the steps because of the size of the box. He threw the box down in the pouring rain. This was a $629.00 order (typical) of vitamins and perishables from Vitacost. This box sat in the pouring rain without a protective (plastic) cover. This box was taking on water like the Titanic. I was able to salvage almost everything. I should never have had to clean up this mess!
Based on the numerous complaints against Lasership I'm surprised a reputable company like Vitacost or any other company would continue using their inferior service. UPS & FedEx use plastic bags when it's raining. Vitacost informed me that I can choose a different carrier. I contacted Lasership to no avail! They could care less! I'm considering a return to iHerb. They use high quality delivery services. The rating should be 1/100 of a star! If you're a Vitacost customer I highly recommend using UPS or FedEx. You'll be glad you did!

Either these people are as stupid as a box of rocks or they're just ** on purpose but DO NOT give these ** ANY money. They like to screw people on the shipping and parse it out so you get one bottle on one day, another bottle 4-days later, etc. Trouble is, I DID NOT KNOW THIS IS THE WAY THEY OPERATE. Now I have to leave the U.S. for more than a year and my order -- which should have arrived today -- won't be here until almost a week AFTER we leave the country. I reached out to them for an explanation and they didn't have one. They also charged me $4.00 for NOTHING, so I didn't get a complete refund but they said to look for my money in 3-5 business days. I recently made my first purchase on Vitacost.com, and it was truly the best decision I made. Healthy foods can be SO expensive, especially at the health food stores in my area. Therefore, the wide variety of products, the prices, and the coupons available on Vitacost really drew me in. I am shocked by all of the negative reviews because my experience was the complete opposite. I ordered quite a few items late on Tuesday night, and my box arrived on Thursday!!! I was in awe!!! I was also very impressed with how my items were packaged. Sturdy box, taped up well, no spills, and fantastic organization inside the box. I could not be happier. A supplement was left off my $600+ order. When I called customer service the woman told me "oh well, you'll have to go online and reorder"! "Oh well"?! Not appropriate language for a good c.s. agent. I explained I would not get free shipping on 1 product. Again... "oh well". I asked to speak to a supervisor and she would not transfer me. I'm not telling my version of the story... this is actually what happened. I wrote c.s. online citing their own motto "If something's wrong with your order we will make it right". The response sent said, "We will give you a $5.00 coupon towards the product, but you still must pay shipping"!!! I've won national customer service awards, this is not how you handle a problem. They lost my business as well as my friends and family. Mr. Horowitz (CEO) was unattainable.

I ordered several jars of peanut butter for a really good price. I checked the expiration dates (best by date, BBD) on the jars of PB and they were one month away from expiration. I contacted Vitacost and they said that they had no replacement jars to send me as they had no jars with later BBDs so they refunded my money. I was stunned. I've been ordering from them on and off for years and never checked the BBDs. I now wonder if all of their products are so cheap because they source them at a discount because they are close to their BBD. I've chosen to not buy from them anymore as they have lost my trust. If you buy from Vitacost, I recommend checking every expiration date on every product.

I loved Vitacost and the delivery company they use here in AZ. From what I read, I think that if you live in the west and get your stuff from LV you are happy. It seems to be the Florida arm that is so bad. Also - I have noticed since Kroger bought them they are deteriorating. By that I mean, several of the harder to find products I used to love, have been discontinued. So they are using the Kroger model of just carrying products that are very popular. This pattern is so discouraging. They don't understand what they bought - maybe just trying to eliminate competition.

They canceled the order (salted caramel bars) after I responded to their query about the order. I was told on the phone they audit orders over a certain amount of money. I talked to them within the three day window. In fact it was the first 24 hours after I was notified of the audit. I checked Thursday 4 days later and the order was cancelled by the company because they said I did not notify them within 3 days of receiving the audit notice. They had no explanation about how this could happen and could not reinstate the order. I would have to start over. DO NOT deal with these people. They have no idea what they are doing. Look at all the OFFICE problems that are explainable.

I placed an online order and they accidentally overcharged me - twice - for the order. I contacted them 3 times for help. First they blamed my bank. My bank said it wasn't their error, but if Vitacost would submit a request to release the funds, they could release the money back to me in 24 hours. Vitacost refused to do this. They then changed their story, saying it was a computer glitch and "so sorry" but I will just have to wait 3 days for the additional pending charge to drop. In the meantime, I'm out $87.26 because I chose to do business with them. Never again! I do hope these charges will drop, otherwise I will have to dispute the extra charge through my bank. They are a shady company and don't even publish their telephone number on their website or invoices. I had to look their phone number up on Google to contact a live person. I will never do business with them again. Consider yourself warned. They are a dirty company.

I've ordered several times in the past from Vitacost because of their competitive pricing and deep discounts. Today, while shopping for vitamins, I noticed that the Nature's Way Alive Women's 50+ Ultra Potency and the Men's 50+, (same product, men's version), had the EXACT same retail price. The problem is, Vitacost is discounting the men's version 58%, but the women's version is only discounted 50%. Consequently, women are being charged nearly $2 more per bottle than the men's version with the same retail price. I guess Vitacost believes that it's okay that women get paid, on average, about 77 cents on the dollar compared to a man doing the exact same job, and yet they still have to pay more for the same products.
I spoke with a female customer service rep who couldn't help me to resolve this. Then I asked for a supervisor, who also happened to be female, and I reiterated my concerns to her. I demanded that I be offered the same discount as a man, but she was also ineffective in resolving the problem. When I pointed out that Vitacost practices gender discrimination, she said she wasn't sure that was true. I pointed out that the evidence was right in front of her face on their pricing page.
When she said it was not under her purview to set the discounts, I suggested that she should look into whether she makes the same salary as her male counterparts. If they'll do it in such an obvious public place as pricing, I'm quite sure they would have no qualms in doing it when setting their employees' private salaries.
After having spent substantially on their products previously, I told her I would not spend another penny on their site as long as this was their policy. She said she was sorry to hear that, but that it was my choice. I told her that I was sorry that she, as a woman, worked for such a company. Everyone, women AND men, should vote with their wallet and not support a company that gender discriminates.

Vitacost has excellent customer service. As of recently I have received some products that don't agree with my pet. They have refunded me. No questions asked. I feel badly and will happily return products. I love their selection and their shipping is generally 1-2 days if you order early enough in the day. Much faster than in previous years. I have been a customer for 10-12 years. I have recently started ordering more food/organic condiments/baking ingredients and are pleased with products and pricing. Would highly recommend.

I loved Vitacost but my experience with them was nothing short of terrible. I do like many of their products and their prices. What I don’t like however is when there is a problem. Not that I expect never to have a problem but it is the way that it is handled that is not acceptable. One thing that I do not like is the condescending attitude that comes with it. As an example, I made an order and decided because I could not change the order (although I was given the impression that I could) my money was tied up because of a lack of information provided. When a company does a pre-authorization it should not be for a full amount it should be for a small just make sure the card is authorized for use.
It was stated on the website that I could cancel an order within 15 minutes after it was placed with no warning that if I did I could not change my order and the original pre-authorization would still be on my credit card account. If this was stated up front I would’ve had no problem with it. I also could’ve excepted it if the agent on the phone had any sense of treating a customer with respect. There are certain people that use the term when talking to someone overseas that is impolite and disrespectful to Americans. It is used at Vitacost and it is “ I’ll take care of that one”. I am a human being with the family on with life not a number.
When I said I need to take my business elsewhere she said she was unhappy with that but her tone indicated she just wanted me off the phone. I am not a person that is unreasonable and I have worked on phones in many different scenarios. I speak from experience that this is not the way to do business. I felt like there was no point in trying to continue this conversation because there was a lack of empathy at all whatsoever. I highly recommend Vitacost re-train their sales staff or better yet Americans for this job. Why not Puerto Rico they need the help. I would submit a receipt or an order number but they remove it after you cancel. Nonetheless they should be able to find it in the record should you need to contact them.

I bought Almased 6 bottles and they shipped the wrong product. I called today and it's $6.00 more and it was my first order with them so you get 20% off not only will they not honor their mistake. I need to pay more with no discount. I will never order from them again. Bunch of thieves. Horrible company with no customer service at all. So much for taking care of the customer. They made the mistake not me. I did my order over the phone with exactly what I needed. They messed up not me but I pay for their incompetent people they have on the phones. Unreal!!!

I read one of the complaints and would like to give a possible reason for problems, as was the case for me. The problem that I had was not with Vitacost. It was with the shipping company that they used. My experience over the years has been that FedEx Ground is one of the WORST shipping companies. As I live rather rural, I am not exactly an easy drop off. Add to that, I have a farm and cattle that must be fenced in. It may be policy for both FedEx Ground and UPS that they do not have to open the electric fence at the end of my concrete driveway, but I have never had an occasion that UPS did not show up at my door with my packages. They have opened the driveway fence and the walk-in gate into my yard.
We are currently having heavy rains and I had not received my package from Vitacost. I have been rather busy and had left the driveway fence open for two days when I received a call from the FedEx Ground driver who said that his boss told him he did not have to deliver my package in the rain because he might get stuck. He drives a delivery van and I drive a small Honda Civic. I travel the road on a regular basis and have not ever gotten stuck, in my remembrance. He said that I would have to have someplace by the highway that he could leave the package or he would deliver it a couple of days after the rain had stopped.
As FedEx Ground has always been such an unreliable company in our area, I felt to send a general note to Vitacost asking them, in the future, to not use FedEx Ground for my deliveries and telling them why. I received a prompt email the next day apologizing for any inconvenience and giving me a discount code for my next order. I was also told that the shipper would definitely hear of my problem. The next day I received my Vitacost shipment left in my yard, during a real downpour, and sometime later a call from the driver telling me that he had left the package in my yard. I guess FedEx Ground policy says that they do not have to open small yard gates and walk 30 feet to the door to make deliveries.
I think that Vitacost is one of the best companies in their line of service. I have used two or three different companies. Vitacost has, in the last two or three orders, had the best price, the best packaging, and they carry a line of excellent name brand products. To top it all off, they also can make FedEx Ground snap to attention and make a deliver that they otherwise would have put off to a more convenient time. Vitacost is the best, in my experience!!! Good enough to have me sign up here to write a review... Something that I do not like to do.

I order my vitamins on Jan 1 and was sent numerous email saying I would get my order. It is now Jan 5th and they said it was delivered at my door and guess what there's no package. I knew there were something was up when they kept changing the delivery date. In addition to that on their website it states where my order or issue a refund. What the hell are they doing to peoples ** orders and why are they in business??? I asked for a confirmation email stating I would get a refund and of course they never sent it.

I live in the UAE and purchased just over $100 worth of vitamins. The vitamins are about a quarter of the price to buying them here, which is a plus for Vitacost. However, they only use DHL global mail service and not courier. I received a tracking number on the 1 Sept and that's when the problems started. After the package had been picked up by DHL and started processing by them, DHL put a message on my tracking page that they do not deliver to residential or business addresses in my area and that I needed to provide the merchant VITACOST with a PO Box otherwise delivery can't be made.
I immediately advised them about the message I received and gave them a PO Box and asked them to confirm that they had in fact advised DHL, they did not confirm to me. Every response I got was a standard reply stating that I have to wait 60 days before an investigation can take place. I kept reiterating about the PO Box situation but only got the wait until after 60 days reply again and again. Today they sent me a survey and I filled it in giving all ratings 0. I quickly got a reply back once again saying I had to wait 60 days to start investigating.
After I once again mentioned the PO Box issue I got a reply saying that as I provided a wrong address in first place they are not going to investigate my package as being lost and were not going to provide me a refund and that as a courtesy they were going to credit my card with the $11 postal charge!!! I did not give a wrong address, I gave normal delivery instructions (which I use for all previous DHL and FedEx deliveries with many other merchants without problem). I only got the message about providing a PO Box after it had been collected and processed by DHL. They are using this as an excuse not to provide a full refund. In addition to this I have advised them several times that I have terminal cancer and that these vitamins are extremely important to me but they have no interest. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life... lesson learnt cheap turns out expensive. If you are an international buyer AVOID this company.

They have a lot of deals and a lot of quality products and they make sure that I get the best deals possible. Everything went smoothly when I ordered. The website is nice and costs were clear and I'm never disappointed with my order and the free shipping was relatively fast and hassle-less. But the company doesn't seem to be mindful of the customer and puts out deals of products people don't normally buy. There were deals on their own specific products although they have released on a plethora of products.

Their pricing is better than other sites. I can pretty much find anything I want at Vitacost and the orders are always correct. I can usually find a large variety of products to meet my needs. Sales tax and shipping fees are applicable for totals under $45.00, but you don't realize this until you apply a promo discount, then the total can go below $45.00 and shipping fees apply. It’s almost like not getting the discount. Other than that, the overall experience is good. Delivery is quick and the product arrives in good shape. All in all, I like this company.

I ordered two bottles of Ester-C Vitamins but was sent 2 bottles of some magnesium vitamin. I called to report the error, which could have been dangerous to my health. I was asked for identifying numbers on the bottle. Was put on hold and then told that they would investigate the "bin" from which the bottles were taken and it would take 3 WEEKS. I did not get an apology, an explanation for the 3 week delay or an offer to send the correct product. A few weeks later I received an email saying that they were refunding my money AS I REQUESTED. I never requested a refund. Seems it was easier for Vitacost to blame me for asking for a refund rather than take responsibility for sending the wrong product. The receipt says "We hope you enjoy the healthy products you ordered." It was hardly "healthy" to send the wrong vitamin.

My experience with Vitacost is always great! It is where I go for just about all of my household needs. I put in orders with the company at least once a month if not more. They offer free shipping over a certain amount, and it usually arrives within 2-3 days. I always receive my items promptly and without issue. They also have great customer service. When I have forgotten something on my order before, their representative was able to add it for me without issue over the phone. They have great organic options, great prices, and it is easy to check before purchasing if any ingredients are on my do-not-buy list. However sometimes they do not have the brands for which I am looking, so an open line of communication so customers can request certain items be added to the inventory would be nice. I rely on Vitacost for most of my needs - I even get food from them! And I recommend them to anyone I possibly can.

The overall experience is pleasant enough. The website has very good prices in comparison to the competition, both brick and mortar and online. The layout of the website/store is also very intuitive and easy to navigate. However I am not a fan of and maybe a little put out over is the unsolicited emails they send out. You can unsubscribe from this though. In the end it comes down to the price paid for the product that is being sought. This website has delivered on both accounts.

I like the varied selection and some hard to find items. I enjoy the fact there is an organic and good selection, but more expensive than we enjoyed. Site is relatively easy to navigate. Allows shopping from mobile devices which is nice. Love the sale section. However they send too many emails and not enough products priced competitively to make high shipping costs worth it. Would benefit from more sales. Sales also could last a little longer - and clearance (personally speaking) shouldn't start until 50 percent off. Also, needs less expensive shipping options and less emails.

I was looking for some supplements and couldn’t find the right ones anywhere else including CVS and Walgreens. I was recommended by a friend to check this site. At first I was hesitant but I tried it anyway and found what I needed fast. It was a vitamin c product and the cost was good. Very fast and very reliable source of vitamins and good options of choices to choose from. I really enjoy my shopping at this brand because I can rely on it for vitamins. But the layout of the site makes it a little hard to browse options. Maybe the site graphics could be updated.

I have always like the product selection. They have a good selection of natural and organic products that me and my family use daily. The shipping is always reasonable and I have never needed to use the customer service. But it would be nice if more stock was kept, or the promotions or discounts periods were extended. They have low prices and offer frequent specials and discounts but some products I buy on a regular basis are often sold out, in turn I can not use the current promotion or discount. Because of this, I have more recently been buying my supplements at a local health-food store.

They have great customer service, good products, and high quality. Easy to order with a good website. They hardly ever make a mistake on an order, but when they did, they made things right. Once when my order was shorted, they believed me and made it right without a fuss. But while they say they ship cold, they really don't unless you pay extra. If I pay $70 for probiotics that ship with an ice pack, they need to overnight it (without charging me). I have ordered twice, and they arrived hot and ruined each time.

The customer service at Vitacost is very impressive, responsive and prompt. But I have made a mistake when I left Iherb to deal with this site. I placed an order with them 5 weeks ago, but haven't received yet! When I contacted them asking only to contact the courier they said contact us after 60 days! 60 days! Which means that if I will receive my stuff, most of the items will be expired!

I have been with Vitacost for so many years that I can't remember. Their customer service has always been first rate. If any error was made with an order, a free replacement was sent, including the one that Lasership dropped at the wrong address, where it was rained on for two days, box fell apart, paper inside soaked, etc. If the error required a refund, it was forthcoming immediately. That sounds like there have been a lot of errors. There have not. Over enough years with any company that one orders from monthly, there will be a snafu here and there.
I noticed that many of the poor ratings were not really about Vitacost, but about the shippers they use. Okay, that's a legitimate complaint, but it can be solved. When they made the change to companies like Lasership, for the first time we started experiencing shipping problems, orders either not delivered at all or delivered to the wrong address. I contacted the company and they flagged my account for FedEx shipment only at no cost to me. Now if that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. Yesterday I spent part of my morning on Live Chat, giving Vitacost heck. In the end I realized that I was making a mountain of a molehill and rather than them owing me an apology, I owed them one. I ordered from Vitacost unaware that they use OnTrac as a delivery service. OnTrac is the WORSE delivery co. in the U.S. In fact there are hundreds and hundreds of complaints against them. After many years of shopping online from Walmart and Amazon I closed both accounts because they are using OnTrac as well. When these companies decide to listen to their customers instead of forcing OnTrac on us perhaps we, the customers, will go back shopping online with them again.

I have been with Vitacost for 15 years. People writing bad reviews are those with computer training issues or bad browser problems. The simplest and best way to order is by smartphone app. It is the most current and most user friendly on the planet. Secondly, their products are without a doubt the most incredible and less costly on the planet. Let's also talk about this delivery issue some of these people thought was worth one star about. Seriously, read the disclaimer! If you're ordering a supplement you will get it within three days and if you are close to the center within one day. I was a first time buyer of Vitacost supplement. When they arrived I noticed that I am allergic to one ingredient of a supplement. I emailed them asking for a possible refund and offered to return the supplement which is unopened with the shipment fully borned by me. Being an international order and the ingredients of the supplement were actually listed on the website, I thought I had zero chance of a refund, feeling that it was my mistake to begin with. To my surprise, I immediately got the refund and Vitacost responded that I did not have to return the supplement. They even gave me suggestion on how to get speedier refund without writing them an email! I am now onto my second order. I am more careful with ordering now and really read the ingredients and other info before ordering. I wouldn't want my favorite supplement supplier to suffer unnecessary loss. As a Canadian who has lived in the USA briefly I'd say Americans are a bit spoiled re: customer service. And by the way God bless America - I love Americans. I ordered several items from Vitacost and they came up; sailed through customs no problem. You guys are lucky because several good products are banned here in Canada for literally no good reason. Hang on to your supplement freedom because believe me, big bad pharma would love to do here what it has in Europe; massive restrictions on vitamins.
Anyways my advice is to be patient when ordering something. I honestly had no idea when the product would be here or how long it took. I was in pleasant anticipation and then quite happy when my package arrived. End of story. I am ordering again 8 months later. I ordered lots, so I can get free shipping and also more convenient for me to order bigger, less often. Also better for the environment! My granddaughter and I need Gluten Free food which is hard to find locally. We particularly like the Schar products that are only carried sporadically at Walmart. I've tried several other online companies for GF food and none of them had the amazing selection and service that I get from Vitacost. I find out in my email when they have promotions in food and then load up. Most of the items that are available locally are much higher priced at stores compared to Vitacost. While I always try to buy locally, GF foods are so expensive that I only buy my bread locally.
My last order was 20% off and they offer Fed-Ex delivery on orders at least $49. How can you beat that? My granddaughter will be thrilled to get more Schar Entertainment crackers and breadsticks along with the GF candy I ordered. I highly recommend Vitacost as a company. Even when I ordered frozen foods from them, they were still frozen. It was during the fall and I live in Northern MN. If I had a problem I have no doubt that they would handle it to my satisfaction.

It makes me so flipping angry that people leave bad reviews for silly things like a website problem or things unrelated to what Vitacost is here to do. I live in California so I don't really run into an issue when looking for healthy, vegan items but on Vitacost, I at least can find new flavors of things not in stores, and my go-to items at a lower cost! My friend, however, lives in Minnesota and says there is nothing near her. Vitacost fills this niche. Not only is the product selection affordable, and HIGH QUALITY but there is ZERO worry or hassle! If you don't like something, it's seriously a two-click process to get a replacement. Customer service is seriously amazing and they have online chat too. It's crazy easy and the employees are nothing but nice. I created an account ONLY to review Vitacost because I want to spread the word and make sure that GOOD businesses get the respect and attention they deserve to STAY in business!

Been ordering from Vitacost for about two years and have never had an issue. I did have a question and the customer service rep I spoke to was really helpful. Free shipping does take about a week and if I had to nitpick about anything it would be that they don't always send the shipment confirmation but they do send an order confirmation right away and you can use that number to log in to the website and track it from there.

There's something way super wrong with their app. It won't let you check out. It just flashes a blank screen so I signed up for PayPal so I COULD check out & I got an email saying it was processed then another one the next day saying it hadn't been so I followed the prompts & they double charged me for the same order. It's slow, inaccurate, the "promo code" was not discounted even though it "said" it was. The delivery is also painfully SLOW. It often arrives late at night & sometimes at even the neighbor's house. They send my husband's messages to MY inbox (not that it matters). It's just annoying.
You can't get ahold of them by phone. Transferred all over the place, wow! I've always been happy with Vitacost in the past, & I don't know if it is due to Kroger taking over, but this site is in bad shape & needs updating in such a huge way, honestly we should be able to get a complete compensation for all this trouble we have been having recently with this ** system.

Customer Care couldnt help me with sign on. When I indicated Vitacost said they already had me in the system. Even though (don't want to reveal the C.S. Chat person) at Vitacost said I wasn't in the system and that he only suggested me going to another Browser. With this lack of help. I would not want to think what would happen if I really needed support with a product order, difficulty, etc. I really don't perceive the owner(s), or President of Vitacost knows, or even cares about these practices. First of note, I am a self-employed online consultant and not associated with anyone from Vitacost. It sucks we have the "burden of proof" just to leave a positive review for someone! But I promise, this is a legit review on a really great experience I had with this company. I'm not sure how to go about submitting a receipt for verification but I did include my order number, so hopefully that helps! I have been shopping with Vitacost for a couple of years now. My packages are generally received within a day of my order. One day. Perhaps I live somewhere near a distribution center who knows. I recently lost a box that said it was delivered on my doorstep and I am still not sure what happened. It might have been stolen. I have a neighbor who loves leaving her dog poop on my yard so I wouldn't put it past her that's all I'm saying but I have no idea and no proof.
Tracking said it was delivered and so I started a chat with Vitacost asking what my next steps were from here. The woman who helped me, Juliana, was so sweet and offered to replace or refund everything. I thanked them and accepted a replacement. Kind, fast, and always gracious. This is a great company and I'm sorry if others have had negative experiences with them. They have the best prices for health-conscious products and free shipping on larger orders, which I always use! They also send a coupon for 10% off your next order with every order you get, so you constantly have a coupon. It's a nice feeling. I will continue ordering from them for years to come and tell my friends and family about their service.

I have ordered numerous times with Vitacost. Their products are great plus the discounts aren't bad either! However, it always tells me that the item will be received in 3 business days. Which is NEVER the case. It usually takes a week or two. I wouldn't be upset about this however, when you tell your customers or when the website states 3 business days I believe you should be responsible for getting that item to them in 3 business days. NOT A WEEK!

I have been a VITACOST CUSTOMER for several years. I placed my latest order in September 2016 and it took a week to get it to me. I called VITACOST customer service numerous times and was always promised an immediate call back which only once happened. I even called the shipping company only to be put on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever came on the line. I called the shipper the next day and was told they will review and call me back and they did not. Their customer service did not care about my order or its timely delivery. My other complaint is that there is no way to get to upper level management to voice my complaint.

I and a small group of friends all order from Vitacost every month or so, for over 3 years. If I forget something, my friends will add it to their order, or if we don't have enough to make free shipping, we pool our orders. None of us has had any problems with the company so far. Occasionally we've had to return items we ordered by mistake, and customer service was prompt and returns were easy. I noticed many of the negative reviews of this company were questionable in their complaints, and many were obvious errors made by the consumers themselves. I think this company is great and deserves a high rating.

About two weeks ago, I ordered a half dozen bars of Taza 87% dark chocolate from Vitacost.com. The items arrived within a few days (timely), which was good. Peeling back the wrappers, I realized one by one, the bars of chocolate were aged/heat damaged, while others were spotted with mold. 100% of the shipment was poor quality, thus raised a question in my mind about inventory control and supply chain management. I asked for a refund and received one immediately. All in all, a couple of good things happened (shipping time and quick refund) but not all together. They didn't truly solve the issue - at least not in my mind.
I was surprised Vitacost did not want me to return the product. Why are they not interested in seeing what the issue was with the product? Was it the cost of shipping to return? Hey, that's the cost of doing business... sorry. Businesses have to take opportunities as they arise to improve themselves. To share my experience with other shoppers, I took time to create a review with pictures to support. A week after submitting, it's still not up. I guess my negative review wasn't accepted by the editorial review board. On the submission, it stated that someone may contact me to discuss. Today, still no type of communication has been made by Vitacost. The combination of Vitacost not wanting to see the problem and not allowing me to share it with other shoppers via online review left me with a poor impression.

I made an order on 7/13 and was promised to receive it within 2 business days. Well, by 7/15 nothing, and there was zero tracking info as if the package was in limbo somewhere. I contact, via email, Laser, and they admitted something went awry, but give it another 2 business days, get what nothing and no tracking. Contacted Vitacost via email, but no answer. Contacted via chat, and they admitted there was a problem, and whether I wanted a refund or replacement. I choose the refund. I need to wait 3 days to see it. Poor and poor customer relation, avoid these people at any price. Many people in my building have complained about Laser and their lack of responsibility, such as leaving packages outside the lobby, so anybody from the street could grab the parcels.

I placed an order for vitamin supplements through Vitacost. They advertised "free and fast shipping" with my order over $39.00. Unfortunately, their "free and fast" shipping was contracted through LaserShip. I placed my order on 6/28/2016 and received a confirmation from Vitacost that delivery would be made in a two-day timeframe. I got busy with family and the 7/4 holiday and didn't dawn on me that it was 7/10 and I still had not received my order. I went to my Vitacost confirmation page and it gave me my LaserShip tracking number. When I clicked on the link, I was taken to the LaserShip site where it showed that the order was shipped to the wrong LaserShip facility so it was shipped back to the vendor. The next day I checked it read "delivery attempted -- wrong address." I verified my address on the original order and it was correct.
I was corresponding via email to both Vitacost and LaserShip about this error. Being held on hold for more than 15 minutes, I elected to contact each company by email. I received the same "We have received your communication and will check into the matter" three separate times from Vitacost. The third message on LaserShip's tracking was "attempted to contact buyer -- was unavailable." What the **??? No one had tried to contact me and I was home all week and no one attempted to deliver the package. Finally, after a fourth email to LaserShip requesting they contact me by telephone and not email, I listened to a voice message later that day that said, "Sorry your order was messed up; apparently it was sent to the wrong part of the country. We have returned the shipment to the seller. You will have to contact them to re-send the merchandise."
I'm just as upset with Vitacost because I have now asked twice to just cancel the order and refund my credit card. Twice now I've received emails asking me to verify my address so that they can ship out my order. Are you kidding me? I don't want vitamin supplements that have been on a hot truck that has travelled to another part of the country. GIVE ME MY REFUND AND I WILL SHOP LOCALLY FROM NOW ON, EVEN IF I HAVE TO PAY MORE -- at least I won't have to go through these hassles!!! Poorest customer service I have ever experienced from BOTH companies. As of today, this is STILL not resolved.

This is the second time I have had an issue with their shopping cart system. On June 22, I submitted my order. I received an e-mail and I found it had over $100 of items that I had previously ordered added to my new order. Within 15 minutes I attempted to submit a request for correction via their online customer service system. It was denied because the system said I had an invalid order. I got up early around 6:00AM EST and sent the e-mail again.
At 12:09PM I received the following e-mail: "Unfortunately, due to the swift nature of our ordering process, we cannot make any changes at this stage. I am so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. For future reference, when placing your order through your online account, you can delete items or cancel your order within 15 minutes from placing your order. The good news is that your entire purchase is covered by our 100% Money-Back Guarantee. If you are unhappy with any product for any reason, you may return it or request a full refund or replacement within 60 days of purchase. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via chat, phone, or by simply replying to this email." Needless to say I am going to locate a reliable vendor.

I placed an order through Vitacost and within enough time that my kids would not be without their much needed supplements. The package arrived and the probiotic, which is supposed to be shipped with an ice pack, came wrapped in paper. I immediately got on their website to get a replacement. I marked in the reason area, "item not shipped cold". A few days later the same thing, no ice pack! Again, why did I waste my time ordering a replacement and put a reason just for it to be ignored! Waste of my time!
I called customer service and I was told that it is a warehouse issue and will take 3-5 business days to fix. More time wasted! She would refund the product and I would have to call back and re-order. As a courtesy for my trouble she would waive the shipping. I had free shipping on my original order so how does that do any justice? She was also laughing during our conversation with another employee. I was not happy and she got a manager.
The manager came on and repeated exactly what the first representative had told me. I explained that they needed to refund the product and ship me a new one for free in a cold pack. It states right on their website that "item ships cold". Since they cannot bring back time or take back any aggravation or frustration, the only way to compensate me is to send me the product for free. She offered me 10% off and 1 day shipping (which she bragged was an awesome deal because shipping is usually $14.99.)
She also went on to say that they recommend 1 day shipping with items that need to be kept cold and since I did not pay for that the first time I was getting a "deal". She just could not understand how that is NOT doing anything extra for me. I have a 12% off sitting in my inbox and I ordered in enough time to not need 1 day shipping. The 2 day shipping in a cold pack is enough to keep the potency of the product. They created the problem so basically I would expect that they would at least refund the product and send it ASAP! I am not being paid to be their quality control and it is not my problem that it takes them 3-5 business days to fix an error in their warehouse.
So, here is the irony: the manager was adamant that she could not send me the product free, but the warehouse will continue to send out a faulty product and waste tons of money (much more than sending me the free product) while they try to fix the issue. In addition, it was highly offensive, like previous customer reviews have commented, that they act like they are giving you a "deal" by doing what they should already be doing. I.E. shipping it out ASAP and at least offering more than a discount that I already have in my account! Bottom line: Order at your own risk. Vitacost does not care about their customers or the quality of their products!

Anyone who knows me knows the vigilant lengths I go to protect my sobriety. I don’t use cough syrup or mouthwash, I don’t take anything stronger than aspirin for pain and I don’t eat food that has alcohol in it even with the claim that it “cooks off“. Late last year I ordered vanilla extract from vitacost.com. I get it from here because it’s hard to find a non-alcoholic version that isn’t synthetic and loaded with preservatives. I don’t use it very often but I know that vanilla extract is 41% alcohol and shouldn’t be ingested by someone like me.
Since I don’t use it that often it took me a few months to realize the mistake that had been made. I was making a cake and spilled a drop of the extract on my hand. Instinctively I went to lick it off. Something was wrong. I looked at the bottle and noticed it was not the non-alcohol version. I immediately dumped the bottle and washed my mouth out furiously trying to get that taste out. I went online to check my order and saw that it was not my mistake – I had only ever ordered the non-alcohol version.
Now if I had used this for baking I wouldn’t have been in a total panic. But I do not. I use it in smoothies and yogurt and don’t know how many times I have accidentally ingested alcohol in the past few months. I protect myself so vigilantly because I don’t want to take any chances with my sobriety. I don’t know if the taste of alcohol or having even trace amounts in my system will trigger me to go back out. The thought terrifies me.
I wrote to the company. What I received a string of emails – from a different person each time – asking me what ELSE they could do after they refunded the $9.47 for the wrong product they sent me. They also said they checked the warehouse to make sure this kind of thing never happened again. They told me this no less than 7 times. Am I glad that this won’t happen to someone else? Of course. Am I glad I got my money back for a product I won't use. Sure. Is that enough? Hardly. They also apologized for the “inconvenience”. It’s so much more than an inconvenience. SO much more.
I got one last email today telling me how seriously they take this claim. They offered me 15% off my next purchase. I actually laughed out loud. Anyone who signs up for their services will tell you I get emails offering 15% off several times a day! And countless flyers sent to me each week! 15% off is a joke. They clearly don’t care enough about keeping my business. I order so many things from them each month and have referred many friends to ordering products from them as well. So much so that it will actually take some time to order all that stuff from some place else. Which I am going to do this afternoon. I write this to not only alert alcoholics but also alert anyone who values good customer service. These people are not that. I may be overreacting but I value my sobriety more than anything else in my life because with it I have nothing.

I've been a happy Vitacost customer for several months and my experiences have all been great, so great that I've begun recommending this company to friends and family. The correct products have been delivered in a timely manner consistently and the prices are competitive. A recent experience, however, has me questioning their integrity and my one-star rating is in regard to this. I believe this company is fixing their product ratings.
Recently, I purchased a spirulina powder from Vitacost. After receiving the product I decided to do further research into spirulina and the manufacturing process. This particular product was not only from China, but there is no additional information to be found on the manufacturer. Not through Vitacost and not through the distributor, Starwest Botanicals. Because of this lack of information and minimal information on the product label, I submitted a low rating and warned consumers to do their research on where their spirulina is manufactured.
Two weeks later and my review has not yet been posted. This prompted me to do a little digging and in doing so I noticed that the bulk of their products have a five-star rating. I even found a spirulina product with an overall 4.5 stars, only to find one reviewer gave two stars and the other rating was five stars, but the five stars was generic. There was no name or information of any kind tied to it. It was simply there to boost the overall product rating. This has to be illegal. If nothing else it's immoral and I'm not giving Vitacost anymore business until they can speak to this matter and also post my review. My concerns were voiced to a customer service rep today. We'll see how we go.

I tried to change the arrival date of my package. I spent an hour trying to get through to the shipper who could not help me. I spent over an hour between two different Vitacost chat representatives who both assured me the package would be rerouted back to them and my money refunded. This never happened and the shipper left the package in the parking lot of a different building. Vitacost customer service never got back to me even after leaving multiple emails and speaking with multiple customer service representatives. What a waste of hours of my time. Worst customer service ever. Shop at your own risk!

I've started ordering from this company about 3 years ago, here and there. Lately, I've had the need to order from them much more, on a bi-weekly basis after comparing prices, they were the best. After multiple orders, I've made two mistakes on details of my orders but they've taken care of me both times! First time, I meant to order shampoo but carelessly ordered conditioners. So, I got to their site and chatted with a customer service and within seconds a rep helped me out. I thought, man this is so convenient and they're response is FAST & FRIENDLY. In fact, I ended up with free conditioners.
Then this week, I contacted them again because I thought my order didn't arrive as expected. It actually did come in right after I chatted with the rep. I was just impatient (got spoiled with one-day shipping). They took care of it in a speedy manner. I'll just leave it here because this is getting really long, but I just want to say, I've NEVER experienced such customer service as I have with them. AWESOME company with AWESOME price and customer service. One more awesomeness, their shipping is only a day or two!!

All of a sudden the website is impossible to use. Boxes cover the site and it says "slow script". I cannot keep anything on the screen. The little round ball keeps popping up. I called several times and cannot get help. I am looking for another site.

I ordered product online and applied a promotional code. I received an invoice online. Part of the product arrived several days later with an invoice indicating 2 of the 6 items arrived, the adjusted cost including the promotional discount and that the other 4 items were shipped separately. They never arrived. After contacting VitaCost they indicated the 4 items were cancelled. They never sent me notice of the cancelled items. The amount charged to my credit card was more than the invoice amount. Upon contacting VitaCost they said they didn't know about any promotional code. Nonsense - they printed the invoice and their site applied the discount. They refused to honor the invoiced amount. They never notified me of the change in price. I disputed the charge with the credit card company and they promptly credited me the amount. VitaCost.com seems very much to be disreputable.

2 different $100+ orders were supposed to arrive in a couple days. They didn't. No response from the shipping company, OnTrac, who is equally as horrible. NO response. Vitacost finally said they would issue a refund and I actually have email confirmation saying they would do so. They did not and now say they will not issue a refund. They have completely ripped me off. 10 days later, no product, no refund, multiple attempts to get help. Nothing. Do not do business with them.

For several years I have been a loyal customer that have recommended them to many of my health and fitness clients. It is with a heavy heart that I have to share my past week of dealing with Vitacost.com. I ordered on Sept. 2nd before you guys were even open. I placed my order and paid using my Paypal account - like I have for many years as a customer. After I placed my order, I realized that I forgot to remove an item that I didn't want. So, I went to go modify my order but all of my items were still in my cart and I refreshed the page thinking that would give me my order # and allow me to modify. I checked my email that I have always used to receive my order #. No email. I assumed (my bad) that the order didn't go through and removed the unwanted items and placed the order again. Then everything was removed out of my cart and I was given an order # and I also received the confirmation email.
All was good but to be on the safe side, I emailed my experience and my concern and asked for customer service to look into it. Later that day I realized that I was charged for both orders on Paypal but I still only had one order on my Vitacost.com account and had only received an email for the one I wanted. I call at that point and your customer service assured me that the second order would cancel out the first unwanted order and that what I was seeing on Paypal wasn't correct and it would naturally be removed.
It wasn't removed so by day 3, I emailed my concern and asked someone to please help me figure out what was happening and to actually help me. I get back an email that it was my Paypal account that messed it all up and that the package had already been shipped and that you guys had signed me in as a "guest" and that is why I'm not seeing it in my account - even though I was SIGNED IN when I made my order. Also, I was told that there was nothing they could do about it now. But if I got back to them, they could notify FedEx to just returned the unwanted package. I quickly responded that, "yes, have FedEx just send it back to you."
A whole day later, I get another email saying that they were unsuccessful but that I could return it and that Vitacost would refund me the shipping. So, I had to get my own label and I sent you the receipt for the shipping and the next day I get yet another email saying that you can't refund the shipping after all but that you would just give me a store credit. After being on the phone for 30 minutes yesterday, I was told that a refund could not be given to me but that they would request a check mailed to me if the Refund Department approves it and that should be decided by this Thursday and then after another 2 weeks, I should receive my check for the shipping label. At this point I'm thinking I will never see this refund. My impression after this past week is that Vitacost.com website and customer service is not trustworthy or caring, or knowledgeable and it is NOT worth my time or money to use.

I've made quite a few orders from Vitacost in the past and was lucky that nothing was lost in transit but can't say that everything arrived in desirable condition (broken carton, very dusty bottles...). Everything seemed OK until I made an enquiry of a product to which I was told the manufacturer date was September, when I asked in March that same year! I remembered the staff member having confirmed that that was indeed correct. So I pointed out that the product would have had been manufactured six months later that year, which she had no reply to. I then insisted to talk to a supervisor to clarify and I was told that he will contact me, which never happened. That made me very suspicious of their products and so I stopped ordering from them for some time.
One fine day I received a supposedly personal email from the CEO of the company asking if there was a problem because of my refrained orders. I ignored that email and passed another order thinking everyone deserved a second chance. But then a problem arose again with my last order when I received 4 bottles of a Vitacost BOGO product that were about to expire, like in less than 20 days. I supposed they might have assumed that I'm a big consumer and I'd finish all 360 capsules within the 20 days! Since my order was placed from overseas, there was a no-return/refund policy, which left me no choice and I had recourse to PayPal. Vitacost then wrote to me for details which I provided. They then offered to reimburse me, but only partially. But PayPal advised me to sit tight and wait for Vitacost to reply them directly, which they failed to do.
I think it's fair to state that a warning is in order here: Vitacost doesn't seem to put much importance to dating their products CORRECTLY (and perhaps even, truthfully). Let's be clear here; we're not talking about a tin of tuna or a bottle of jam but pharmaceutical supplements, which involve the health of the consumers, which is no light matter! In retrospect, I should not have given them a second chance, and neither should you (unless you like taking your chances).

I ordered a product from Vitacost. They offered a discount for a second purchase for the same product. I bought 3 regular and 3 discounted for a total of $58.13. They billed that to my credit card then billed an additional $81.29, like I bought all 6 at full price. I contacted Customer Affairs. They said they would refund $21.62. But the difference between the two prices is $23.16; so, Vitacost still is not honoring their original offer. Later that day, my bank called me saying my credit card had been compromised on the internet and was being voided. I am waiting for a new credit card to come in the mail. Be warned before you make any purchases from Vitacost. Beware of any discounted deal they offer. Check your credit card immediately after making a purchase from them and check to make sure they billed what you charged.

I've had this happen to me twice now with Vitacost; I receive an email from Vitacost stating that my items are shipped and I'm provided a tracking number. The items were never shipped! First time, I thought it was a fluke, and I had them ship me another package and I received it. No problem. The second time, I wanted a refund. I received a partial refund because of promotion. When I called about the partial refund, customer service was condescending to me because I questioned their practices of notifying customer of item being shipped but it actually hadn't been shipped and only providing partial refund. I'm done with Vitacost, and I can't recommend it. Buyer be aware.

After many successful orders and delivery of great product by Vitacost, I just received my current (NON) order in a small empty box! There was no product in the box and my order could have never fit in that box... I have left emails for customer service and I'm still waiting for them to rectify the missing product. This is a disappointment with a company I have referred many friends to. If they make it right for me, I will write again on how they handled this packing, or lack thereof, situation.

I should have taken more time to read all the ingredients in the Synergy NeuroPower vitamin product from Vitacost, but since my doctor recommended it, I went ahead and ordered it. After taking two capsules the first day, my eyes started twitching and I felt extremely weird. Caffeine is toxic to my system and I recognized these symptoms to be caused by caffeine based on past experience. I re-read the ingredients in the label and found that Green Tea extract in the amount of 500mg is in each capsule! Green tea has caffeine and I have never heard of a multivitamin containing caffeine in my life. Beware of this product if you have a problem with caffeine like I do.

I wrote to Vitacost three times between 3/5 and 3/25/15 to ask about a product (their Noni juice) that tasted MUCH different than usual. Product delivered end of January. Opened it after finishing the last bottle we had left at the end of February. Taste and smell have changed considerably. Used this product for years and years. Know Noni juice isn't supposed to taste great, but the last order/lot # 692074 tastes REALLY strange or possibly turned. Also has a different and bad smell. Husband and I noticed we haven't been feeling too well since we started with it. Just a coincidence? Sent in review (and notified that Vitacost would let me know when my review is posted) but never made it to the web-site's product reviews (nor were any for this batch). Hate to throw out since we stocked up on the last BOGO sale. Just waiting to find out if it's safe to drink.

It's been almost a year now that I've been ordering most of my supplements from Vitacost (every time $400) and I always used to choose UPS shipping, but had a problem last time (one my boxes were missing and when I received it, it had a hole on it and one of the products were missing) so this time I decided to choose the normal shipping which is Landmark Global and it's been 1 month now haven't received it yet!!!!!! I kept sending them emails (they don't have any phone number that I can call and follow up which is ridiculous) and I haven't received any email from any of the companies and I really don't know what to do now.

Vitacost sent me an item different than the one I ordered. I have so far been on the phone for 53 minutes with customer service. At the website, I tried to do "live chat". It doesn't work. The website takes you around in circles. I click on 'select order', it takes me to 'return' , click on return, it takes me back to 'select order'. Meanwhile the voice on the phone is telling me at the website, service central, I can request a replacement. Wow. I just got picked up by customer service. Only 53 minutes!

On February 23, 2012, I bought the same products in the Vitacost.com. My order number is **. I spent $75.06. I have decided this package for my wife, mother and child. The shipping method is DHL? Tracking Number: is **. Destination is China. On March 19, I sent an email to customer service to ask some information about my parcel. The customer service told me all the international order must wait 21 working days. On March 28, I still have not received my package. I want the company to return 100% payment. But the customer service want me to provide some proof that the package is not being held by customs. If I am unable to provide this documentation they can issue a credit for the items minus a 20% restocking fee.
China has many customs. I don't know which customs my package is in. So I wanted them to provide tracking number to me or provide proof that said the package arrive to customs. When I wanted Vitacost to offer them for me, they changed the strategy. They told me that my parcel have liquid and they received information that liquid products are not allowed to be shipped into China. There are liquids on my order and it is possible that my order has been confiscated. I am really disappointed to hear this news. However, I asked about the customs of the people and some mothers bought the Vitacost products. They have not heard of these provisions of the liquid.
I am sure that every day there are many customers from China buy Vitacost products. These products include solid and liquid. After post, most of them can get these things. So I want VITACOST to provide these specific provisions. I have Chinese customs entry product tax payment table. In the above entry of goods for taxation everything I bought is in line with this policy. From then on, I have never received any reply. I believe that my e-mails are filtered by Vitacost. Every day I send an e-mail, but receive no reply. I have no any method but to turn to the BBB.
As a big company, this is not accepted. For the shopping, I'm disappointed. A whole month in the past, I have not received any thing. I'm very disappointed. They want to deduct the freight and the poundage of 20%. This requirement is not accepted. I want VITACOST return 100% paid to me or send you a replacement without delay. The shipping method should provide the electronic tracking.

I ordered over $300 worth of vitamin products and was supposed to receive a free box of Kind snack bars. Received all but the free item, but shipping document said it was expected to ship 12/7/10. Have since e-mailed and chatted online with Vitacost and they have refused to honor their offer.
They HAVE THE PRODUCT (per their website), contrary to one excuse they are offering. Serious lack of integrity here.

I ordered a dietary supplement on 6/4 and 13/4 from vitacost.com. But I only received only part of the item for the 6/4's order. I did not receive any item for the 13/4's order and also the rest of the 6/4's order. I asked the company by email several times and no one answered me till 9/6. There was a man called Krista ** who answered my mail on 9/6, 14/6 and 22/6, and said they would arrange replacement of the order for me. It would take 2 to 3 days for the delivery. If I refuse, he would refund the money to me. I agreed with him at the beginning of July, but I did not receive my packages afterward. I sent an email to them and no one answered me again. I have been waiting for my packages for 4 months, what can I do? Please advise. I paid for $86.97 for the rest of the 6/4's order and $84.1 for the 13/4's order. This company owes me $171.07. Thank you!

I sent my vitamin supplements back because the Propolis (2 bottles) I ordered made me sick to my stomach.. Christina said she had received my return package... but I was not ever refunded to PayPal like she said she would do.. I should have gotten $26.42. That's the cost of the supplements and postage.

Through the vitacost.com website, they charged my bank card 19.95 for a membership I NEVER agreed to!!! I just Google shopping essentials and see what comes up. I have contacted my bank, shopping essentials, and vitacost to let them know. How horrendous!!! Right now, $19.95 out of my bank account and they say it will take two days to refund. According to others that have fallen prey to this scam, you have to stay on top of them to make sure they actually do reimburse you and cancel the membership that was fraudulently opened.

I purchased foot creams from www.vitacost.com and I found that I joined shopping essentials membership which I never intended to join. I called shopping essentials and they waived the fee. I checked my credit card on line and found that they charged monthly. Therefore there were two charges of $14.99. I called them again and asked for refund of $29.98 since I never wanted to have their membership that I never heard of. They refused my inquiry because they sent e-mail for the confirmation. I did not check my e-mails for a while. They did not send me any mails about the condition of membership or at least something about the membership. Then I would find about the fraud earlier. The website, www.vitacost.com, made their customers to join the membership accidentally or they illegally gave my information to the third party, Shopping Essentials. I'm usually careful about these tricks while I'm shopping online. But maybe this time, I was not careful enough or I picked up wrong site and gave my information.
