SmileDirect was fair and reasonable. I did an in-person 3D scan. I chose the nighttime program and completed it. I'm currently doing the retainers. As long as it continues to keep my teeth close together, I'm happy. For the ease of use, it was worth it.

I have a rather petite mouth, so the trays are always uncomfortable to get in and out. I didn't wanna do it at home because I wasn't confident I'd be able to do it accurately. Then, I found out that SmileDirect had the storefront where you could go in and they'd do that wand thing. That would be better and I wouldn't have to gag on those trays. So, I made the appointment and I went to the storefront. Then, I received the kit after a couple of weeks. But they gave me the whitener thing, so I felt like I was starting right away. At work, it was too cumbersome to take the retainer in and out. So, because I was having such great success, I decreased the time I wore it by myself to just wearing it at night. Instead of switching on my retainers every week, I did it every other week and I slept with them.
It was surprising because I was feeling better that my teeth looked good. Then, one of my best friends for 20 years told me while we were having dinner that my teeth looked amazing. She said they were so straight and that was really nice. Getting into the program is expensive and you have to really want to have a straighter smile. But I like the ease of it and there's something about the packaging that gets you excited. I also like the reminders and the ability to click on something to get back on track. Because then, it seemed more manageable.
I'm really impressed with not just the results of the retainers, but I really enjoy the business model in general because I'm an entrepreneur at heart. So, I really appreciate all the different pieces that had to work together to make this a positive experience for me. Straighter teeth is great. But then, it's very interesting when you look at the packaging aspect, the technology piece, and the process of sending the photos for your check-ins.

SmileDirect had a quick process. I went into the office and had my teeth scanned, made the arrangements, and then the kit was shipped to me. It was uncomfortable in the beginning and when you switched aligners. My teeth were crowded and now they're not exactly what I had hoped for, but they're a lot better than they were. I'm happy with the results. I'm satisfied. I would recommend it to friends.

I gave SmileDirect a second go-round and now I'm finishing up with my plan. However, I lost my last set that was recently sent and I let them know that. It's been three weeks now, but I still have not received any retainers. The customer service rep had let me know it would take weeks to get another set of retainers. I let the rep know if it takes that long, my teeth can possibly regress. He said not that much if I keep wearing the same pair. But those are just supposed to be for one week and I've been wearing it for weeks. I'm worried that my teeth won't close all the way because I don't have my retainers. SmileDirect is a good alternative to metal braces but they have to have a plan for an additional retainer set that can alleviate any concerns when they have customers like me who lose their retainers.

My kit was delivered to my doorstep in a couple of days. I like the convenience of going with SmileDirect. I didn't have to wait for the next set to come in. The aligners felt good. My teeth were sore. But other than that, I could barely tell they were there. The gap in my front teeth is closed.

My teeth have gotten some gaps in them and my lip was starting to get stuck between the gaps. I signed up with SmileDirectClub and I didn't have to do anything but order the retainers. I got my retainers through the mail and it took them five days to get them to me. I got them really quick. I wore the retainers 22 hours a day for four months and there was no problem whatsoever with them. They were a little bit loose and somewhere between, but nothing bad. Now, the gaps on my teeth are gone and my lip's no longer getting stuck. SmileDirectClub is the way to go. Working with them requires no visit or no having to make time to go to a dentist. It's on your own time.

SmileDirectClub sent us these putty kind of things with these little trays. You put the putty on your teeth and you smash it up onto the teeth, then you hold it there for about a minute or two until it hardens. We did three sets of those so they could get the best imprints, then we mailed them back in. They changed every month or so, so they would push my son's teeth into the correct spot. After we sent in the imprint, they went through and did some sort of laser thing. Then they sent us a box with the entire treatment and each little retainer set came in its own individual bag. On the bag, it said how long to wear the aligners which was usually two or four weeks. So, when my son would finish one, he would just move on to the next bag.
He had them on all the time unless he was eating. They gave him a little case to put them in and he would put them back in after he ate and brushed his teeth. When he would first use them, sometimes they would have a rough edge when he would put them in. But the kit came with a file to soften the spots that were rubbing on his gums. Every now and then, when he would put a new one in, it was uncomfortable because, just like when you tighten regular braces, the metal ones would cause soreness. But that would last a day or so and things would be back to normal. They also sent us a little 3-D animation on what my son's teeth should look like as they change over time. SmileDirectClub was really easy to use and his teeth came out pretty good. Aside from that, it was nice that in the kit, they sent a whitening toothpaste. So, not only is his teeth straight, they're whiter also.

SmileDirectClub does it right where they get you on a subscription and send you a new set every six months or at least ask you if you want them. I've gotten my first three retainers. They reach out to me when it's time to order another retainer. When I lost a set, I did the chatbot thing expecting them to send me another one. It asked all these questions. Based on where I was, they told me to move on to the next one. That was easy and helpful. I did the nighttime plan and I was supposed to wear them for 10 hours a night but didn't. Looking back, I wish I would have worn each aligner set for longer. I'm still wearing the last set and I can get the retainers on, but it's tight. Hopefully, it'll do what I want because there are still little shifts throughout the day.

As I was getting close to the end of the program, I started getting emails about ordering my retainer. As I was looking through the menu and questions, it said what if I was not happy with my results. I clicked on that because there was an issue with my bottom teeth. I filled out that questionnaire. It said, "Congratulations, you've been approved for touch-up aligners," but I didn't hear anything from anybody for SmileDirectClub for a long time.
I've kept getting emails of two different kinds. One was, "You haven't ordered your retainers yet." The other emails were, "You've been approved for your aligners. You need to do your impression kit," but I never got an impression kit. I replied to one of those and said, "I don't need a retainer yet. You guys said I was approved. I don't have an impression kit." Then, someone emailed and said, "Since you're an existing customer, you can order one for $29." Then when it said to go on to the app and order one, it cost me $59. They sent the impression kit. It took me 10 days instead of two days to get it back to them. As soon as they had received it, I started getting emails again telling me they were glad I was a new customer. I told them I was not a new customer.
I looked up a phone number and called somebody. I said, "There's a problem here. Y'all need to figure out I'm not a new customer and that I'm supposed to be getting touch-up aligners. I'm going on six weeks to eight weeks. I'm in my last aligner now. I'm supposed to have something going here." Finally, someone called me back. They told me my touch-up aligners would cost me $250. I said, "No one said anything about it costing any more. Tell me why." The rep said, "It's because you didn't complete your plan in the amount of time that you were supposed to." I said, "No one said anything about having to do that for the warranty to work." Whenever you check in using your aligners, it says, "If you've gotten off track, just let us know." If I'd forgotten to wear my aligner for one day, then I'd adjust the date to make sure I wore it for 14 days like they tell you to. He said, "I'll send you an email by the end of the day with a link to pay," which he didn't.
After four days, I still hadn't gotten an email. I called again and spoke to a lady who said, "This shouldn't have happened." I went ahead and gave her my card number over the phone. I paid her the 250, and she said, "I need to escalate this and make sure that you get taken care of because it shows that you owe more money." I said, "I don't want a whole new plan. I just need the touch-up aligners." Yesterday, I finally got the email that said, "Congratulations. Your touch-up aligners are being made. They should be finished in two or three days and they'll be on their way to you."

Unfortunately there is nothing good to say about SmileDirectClub customer service. It's absurd. I was supposed to be with this company 6 months...it's been 3 years and now that it's finally time to order retainers I'm having troubles ALL OVER AGAIN! Save yourself the misery and go with another company for your Smile needs.

My teeth were crooked and overlapping. So, I needed spacing and that was what SmileDirectClub supplied. The whole process and all the people I worked with were very good. I was very happy with them.

I've always had a gap and I've always wanted to close it but I'm too old to walk around with metal in my mouth. I did SmileDirectClub as it just seemed more logical to have a little plastic in my mouth and you can't really tell why my mouth has been closed. The top portion of my teeth was not really too crooked. I liked the price and the affordability as well. I saved up and got a price of what it would cost for paying the cash-out.
I went into a facility in High Point and they took 1,000 pictures. That was fine. The whole kit was then shipped to me. Wearing the product was fine. They tell you that you have to cut them - clip it then file it. But there were certain ones that were fine. I did one week and mine was the 24-hour thing. It was hard because you go eat and even if you slide them back in, you’re still not doing the 24 hours. The other thing was the product would suck the skin underneath my jaw. It’s just so weird. Because you got this soft thing in your mouth, you always have saliva and you always suck it. That was the negative part of it. It sucks my tongue too and it was sore for a while. I ended up with the right side and left side thing. When when I did that tongue thing, it made it hard when you want to eat.
The problem I'm having right now is the product didn't totally close my gap. My procedure first was to go and get the middle thing between my teeth taken out. The dentist didn't take the bone or the bristle out. He clipped the little meaty thing that's attached to the lip and attached to the gum. I got all that done before I even got the product, thinking that that would help.
My daughter got hers done. She said they did surgery and actually sliced the middle thing. She went on and got the metal braces. Mine is still fighting to separate. I told SmileDirectClub, “That's neither here nor there with you guys.” I still got number 15 in my mouth and I'm still wearing those. I reached out to the physical place and explained to them about the situation. The product did the straightening of the teeth but the gap is still there. It's smaller now. They told me to take three pictures and they would see whether or not I would qualify for the extension because the product didn't quite do a full job. I took three pictures of my mouth and I've not heard back from anybody. It's been over almost three weeks now.
I'm trying to hurry and get the rest of my dental work done. Until all of that is done, it doesn't make any sense to wear a retainer because the retainer would be just where the gap should be totally closed. That aside, I'd tell others to go to SmileDirectClub. I have a supervisor who has really crooked teeth. I told her, "If you can pay cash for it, ma’am, just swipe your ATM card. Save a little." If you do the payments, it's gonna be 1,500. You're looking to have $450 extra if you’re doing the small payments. A lot of people don't know that.

Getting fitted was very easy. I just had to make it down to them. But everything else was online and it was really efficient. I wore mine for four months and my teeth are back the way they were when I had my braces removed as a teenager. I was very pleased. The only thing is when I got to the end of the program, they said I need to purchase retainers every six months. That's not practical. They didn't tell me that when I signed up and retainers are $300. If I had known that, I probably would not have signed up for it. The other company turned out to be a lot more expensive upfront but when you look at it, SmileDirectClub asking you to purchase retainers works out to be about the same as the that other company. Other than that, I had a positive experience.

Do not use this company. They are useless and have the most clueless support I've ever encountered. I completed treatment weeks ago, ordered my retainers online, received an email saying "thanks for the order, you'll get a separate confirmation email soon" - the confirmation email never came. Since then I've talked to multiple agents over the phone, chat, email, all of them say the same thing - that someone will get back to me but no one ever does. I've forwarded the email and screenshots from my bank showing the charges and still no one is able to help me. Avoid this company and their useless, non-existent support, like the PLAGUE. I completely regret ever giving them a single dollar.

I love SmileDirectClub. I recommend the process. It’s quick, efficient and relatively inexpensive, especially in comparison to braces. Upon putting in the new bi-weekly ones, they’re initially snug. I could feel some movement in the teeth, which was expected. I’m a previous braces wearer, so I knew what to expect. I love the results. It feels different when I'm chewing. They seem to come together more. My granddaughter always says that my teeth are straight.

It's easy and straightforward. They send you everything initially up front. And as long as you pay attention and follow the directions, it's worth it. The treatment plan was for six months. I changed them when I got the notifications. I sent the pictures in when the app prompted me to. After treatment was complete, I wore the retainers during the day for the three weeks. Now my treatment is complete I wear them only at night. SmileDirectClub had me take a picture of my top, the bottom, and from the front to be reviewed by their orthodontist that was supposed to oversee my care. I received feedback after the first time. But I did not receive feedback after the second time. I was left if they it. I just assumed all was well because I didn't hear anything.
My biggest complaint was there were ridges on the different aligners that would rub on my gums and it would be painful and uncomfortable. That would make me leave them out longer than I was supposed to. But I tried hard to work through it and file and use the wax that they gave me. That was annoying. Other than that, it seems to do exactly what it was supposed to do. That crooked teeth that were turned are now straight. And my bite is no longer wearing the enamel. Tthe last time I went for cleaning, my hygienist noticed a difference as well.

My daughter used SmileDirect, and then I joined and had my teeth fixed. I'm 62, and my front two teeth were tipping in and all my teeth were shifting a little bit and I wanted to correct it. My smile is a lot better now. They did reach out to me and I have to respond again. My two front teeth are still tipping in slightly and they were willing to consider providing another retainer for me. But I'm 90% satisfied. I communicated with the reps mostly through email and they were always positive and polite. It was an easy process. They're invisaligners and it's not obvious what you're doing. I like that piece of it too rather than having metal wrapped around my mouth. The whole thing was very smooth. It was a good experience. They were willing to answer questions. SmileDirect is cost-effective. It's an easy service to work with.

My son's front teeth weren't aligned right. So he was not confident smiling. We did the home kit and it didn't turn out great. So we ended up going into the site down in Honolulu and the lady there was fantastic. She was really helpful and quick. Everything worked really good and my son is super committed. He wore the aligners when he was supposed to. So it's all been great.
He's completed the program. I just had to order a new set of retainers because he lost it. When I had to reorder the retainers, it was a long process. I was on a long hold, and then I was in this chat thing, and then nobody could understand that it wasn't for me but it was for my son. So there was some discord with that and I was literally on the phone all morning for something that should have been a really easy reorder. But I got the retainers yesterday in the mail, so he has those now. It's all good.
You need to figure out the whitener thing that came in the kit. We got the kit, but there's no cube. There's nothing that we have or find that it plugs into. My son would like to whiten his smile, but we can't find the thing that goes with what they gave us. But overall, I'm very happy with SmileDirect. I wish we would have done this for my daughter. I'm not as happy with them and they cost three times as much as SmileDirect.

I went to SmileDirect's pop-up location and they did an X-ray on my mouth with the wand and it was done fairly quick. It was pretty simple. I did the nighttime one, so it was so simple. I loved that I had the option to only wear them at night. They were very comfortable and it was a very easy process. But I had a few issues with me not liking the end result, which wasn't a big deal. There's one little tooth that hadn't maneuvered all the way. But SmileDirect was very accommodating to help me. My teeth are perfectly where they should be. I would recommend it.

I liked SmileDirect's price and the easiness of doing it. Everything was done through mail, and I didn't have to send anything back. They all worked perfectly. My experience was wonderful. It took a little less than four months, and you could see the difference. I've got the before and after pictures. I did call them one time and said, “I don't know if it's working as fast as it should be.” I was just impatient but they took a look at me, virtually, on the phone and they said, “You're right where you should be,” and reassured me that everything was going okay. It was going okay.
I'm 68 years old and I thought I was too old for braces. I thought, “Well, that SmileDirect would probably work,” and it did. I had a big gap in the front of my teeth that just kept feeling wider and wider. My bottom ones were just turning in and out. There were different directions and spaces all in between them. I was so self-conscious. It really did something for my confidence. Before, I wouldn't smile. If I'd take a picture, I'd only show my top teeth. I would stick my tongue in between the gap in between the top teeth so nobody can see that there was a gap there. So, SmileDirect came through. I was very happy with it. They can't get me to stop smiling now. Go to SmileDirect. As a matter of fact, one of my friends went to Invisalign. She went there before I went to SmileDirect, and hers is still taking her longer. She's a lot younger than I am. I'm very pleased to find that she is still using her Invisalign. because we’ve been comparing.

I've completed the process with SmileDirect. Everything went smooth. It was fair cost compared to other similar products and it seemed pretty seamless to me with the process. I'm satisfied with the results. I'm not a huge fan of the aftercare, the retainers, because of the longevity of them and the material they're made out of. They get really nasty and gross and they're supposed to last for six months. Other than that, the more traditional route of permanent retainers is probably a better route.

My experience was absolutely fantastic. I went to a location and the rep explained SmileDirect to me. He showed me his progress which was pretty good. I gave it a try and I was really happy that everything was in one box and was clearly labeled. I was happy that it was a four-month process. When I started, it was a little tough getting used to brushing my teeth after eating so often. I purchased a little travel toothbrush and toothpaste and kept it in my purse.
I also like that everything was online. I could Google some questions if they weren't on the website or the app. I also like the whitening system that came with the aligners as well. It was great when I started seeing results I thought the process of wearing the aligners was going to be more difficult but it wasn't. It only took 15 minutes to get used to the squeezing on my teeth.
I had a little trouble with the inside aligners where I had to cut and sometimes file down in the beginning part. But this was for the first two aligners and I didn't have problems with the rest with that part scraping on the inside of my tongue. I was however surprised because they tricked me and told me I was on my last set of aligners. My retainers will be coming and now I have to wear the retainers for three weeks, the same way I wore my aligners. They said you only wear the retainers at night. So I was expecting just to wear them at night.

After a failed series of treatments with a different company, I gave SmileDirectClub a chance. They have an office near me and I went in. They did a 3D scan of my mouth and I really liked that better than the impressions which could be a little off when you take them off. The 3D scan was quick and easy. Everyone was nice, polite, and clean. It took about three to four weeks from my initial appointment to getting my retainers in the mail and I had to wear them 22 hours a day, which I did. It was a bit of a hassle keeping them clean, but I got little dissolvent tabs and that worked.
Then I had to have a correction done since by the 12th of the 16 week program, my teeth weren't where they were supposed to be. I had a habit of not drinking hot liquids but when the retainers would first go in, I would chomp on them to try and get them to fit quickly instead of being really high up. My molars were really stubborn, so it was like I was forcing it and it got a little out of shape. Also, the one tooth that I really wanted lined up wasn't in line. I sent the photos to SmileDirectClub and they did a re-scan. They said my teeth were off and they did a fresh treatment plan getting from where I was to where I was supposed to be. So, I had to throw away the rest of the retainers and they did a fresh new set of eight. And by the time I was done with those, my smile was correct and my teeth were right where they needed to be. I was more careful that time about letting my teeth move and not chomping on the retainers.

SmileDirectClub was good. I just had to go online and they sent my impressions very quickly. I did my impressions and they said my aligners would be in quickly. And they were there within three weeks. Everything was easy to read and do. I'd get a text every week saying I have one week left for these aligners. And then on Sundays, I'd get another text saying it’s time to change my aligners, let's say, to aligner number two. But I'm not 100% pleased although the end result is good. I could have gone back and said maybe I need another month with my aligners. I wear my retainers every night and it helps.
Very rarely did I speak with anybody at SmileDirectClub. It was all just text and that worked out fine for me. My nail person’s husband used SmileDirectClub and at first, they weren't pleased because SmileDirect said that it was all done but he didn't feel like he was done. So they said they would send him some more aligners and to keep working on it. Still, I would recommend SmileDirect.

I liked SmileDirectClub's price. They did a great job when I signed up with them. I did it online and talked to them over the phone. My teeth needed to be straightened very badly. They're straight now. They're aligned the way I want them, and I'm very happy. The process worked very well and it was short. I would recommend SmileDirectClub.

I had a lot of crooked teeth and I wanted to straighten that out and look nicer. I got the molding kit from SmileDirect quickly. It was also easy with the instructions they gave. But I ended up having to go back in person to a SmileDirect shop to get some things corrected in my smile. I had to get the 3D scan and a new set of aligners.
I'm in my retainer part now. But I'm having a hard time. My teeth are still trying to move quite a bit. I was under the impression that when we did our retainers that we would be doing another scan before we got the retainers and that was not the case. I don't know if I just misunderstood that. But they sent me the retainers and they don't seem to fit correctly. I've called in at least once and they said, "Give it a week and we'll follow up," but no one ever followed up. So I'm wearing my retainers as much as I can until my teeth stop moving.
The customer support was very lacking other than the lady at the SmileDirect shop. I could barely understand some of them when they were speaking to me and they didn't seem to want to help me. I also never ever got to speak to my orthodontist that was assigned to my project even when I was having new aligners sent and went to the Direct Smile shop. But the product is great if you're willing to adapt and do your own critical thinking to make things work.

I'm almost due for the last treatment to buy the retainers for my teeth. But I'm still needing to use it again because I'll have to take pictures so I can see them again. So, that way, I can continue getting another one. But my smile is improving. The lower part is getting there. The reps were friendly and very cheerful. They were very nice and respectful when you call, and when they tell you goodbye, they wish you a good day. I was kinda skeptical about SmileDirect, but it really proved me wrong.

I had a space on one side and as I got older, I had to get a root canal and I had a bigger one on the other side. I wanted those fixed, so I decided to go with SmileDirectClub. And I'm glad I did. I went to one of the facilities and the lady who helped me out was really sweet. She had been a SmileDirectClub user and her smile was beautiful. She did the little impressions with the wand and showed me what was going on, and it was pretty quick and easy. Wearing the retainers was easy as well. I would wake up, take them out and brush my teeth, put them back in, take them out to eat, then brush my teeth, floss, and put them back in again. I'm happy with the results and I will recommend them to anyone who wants an easy fix to a problem.

My mom did SmileDirectClub and I've seen the results that she was getting. That made me wanna get the service myself. There were a lot of spaces between my teeth so I wanted to close those gaps. When you first change out the impressions, they're pretty tight. But after a few days, they're comfortable. I did them for 22 hours a day and I only took them out when I ate. I probably was eating only once a day at the time. It was amazing how fast they work. I was able to close in the gaps. In terms of aftercare, I've been wearing my retainers not as much as I should. But there haven't been any adjustments. I would definitely recommend SmileDirectClub and tell others how fast the results were and the process of everything and how it goes.

My wife had crooked teeth all of her life and she wanted to straighten her smile. It took a while for her retainers to show up and then the first shipment didn't show up at all. So, when they sent up the second one, it was within four days that we received it. But overall, SmileDirectClub is more affordable than braces and it's much easier to maintain versus braces. The fact that you're able to take them out to brush your teeth all the time is much better than it was with braces. So I would recommend it to anyone. My wife loves her smile now. It's much better, and so much straighter. It turned out the way she wanted it to.

I liked the way SmileDirect was set up better with the app and everything. I did their at-home kit. When I got the actual molding kit, that only took about a week or two to come in. The aligners took roughly a month. They were saying that they were still being made. The process was really simple. The steps were laid out and it was really easy. Anytime I've ever had a problem, SmileDirect responded fairly quickly. I started in September and I finished last month. I have one or two crooked teeth and a little bit of spacing. I wanted to get that fixed. It's good now. My smile could be a little better, but I'm pretty confident in it. The only thing is I have to do the retainers and I have a problem remembering to put them in at night.

Right in the center of my mouth, I had two crooked teeth on top and two crooked teeth on the bottom that I wanted to be straightened out. I really liked the night-only option of Smile Direct. I went to the clinic. It went very well. I had a long wait to get in. But once they took me in, they were all very pleasant and nice. I'm on the retainers now. But I reached out to customer service because there is still a space between two of my front teeth that I was hoping would be fixed but it isn't fixed. They asked me to send pictures. I did. But then I never heard from anybody ever again. But I’m very happy with the service. It fixed what I wanted to have fixed, but it created this new issue that I haven't had before.

Getting sized was easy. It was a quick and neat. That was the perfect method. SmileDirectClub had a format of how they would get it done, which brought a level of comfort to me, and I was excited after putting the first aligner in, I was impressed with how my aligner molded to the shape of my teeth, and how, going from week to week. It felt tight in the beginning. After an hour, it felt like the last aligner. I wore them majority of the day. I would take them out to eat and drink. But I would put them right back in, and it was easy with the maintenance. SmileDirectClub had the time frames of when your teeth would be adjusted to the next aligner. It was crazy how you could pop one out, there's a different aligner, and put the other one in, and it's almost like you pick up where the other one left off at. So, it was a cool process.
The results were noticeable within the first two weeks. My smile went lighter four to five shades. And SmileDirectClub made me feel better than the old version of myself. When O noticed my teeth shift, it ran on my confidence a bit. But being able to reverse that process through SmileDirectClub, it reversed the feeling, too. I was more excited about my smile. I smile and laugh more without caring about who was looking or watching. I would refer SmileDirectClub to anybody.

I'm very happy with SmileDirect. Everything seems to be working well. I did my impression in a trailer and they did a 3D scan. It was quick and I got my kit in a couple of weeks. But when I got my retainer, there was a sharp edge on my bottom right molar. So, I used a little hand grinder to grind a 16th of an inch to get the edge around it. Other than that, I've won my night retainers for the last two years and every six months, I change them. It's a very good process and I'm very happy with my new smile. They did a good job and the people I dealt with were very supportive and nice.

I like the affordability and the ease of the process, not having to make appointments and being able to do it on your own schedule with the support of the online app and portal. The instructions were very simple to follow and there was thorough follow up to make sure I didn't have any questions or any problems with the fitting. So far, I'm liking my smile. I had braces before and lost my retainers. My teeth spaced back out a little, but now, they look better than after I had my braces removed. SmileDirectClub works and it's worth the money. I got great results, and the price is really good compared to the other places.

I've always had a great smile, but my teeth started getting wonky. I contacted SmileDirect online and set up my appointment in Greenville. The two people we talked to were incredible, professional, and knowledgeable. We asked every question we could ask, and they had an answer for us. They were taking pictures. After we did get all our questions answered, they took me back and did regular pictures of me smiling.
Getting the aligners was horrid, but it was my fault. It was in the beginning of December that I went in and did all this stuff. We were going out to visit our daughter and family in California on January 3rd. They were like, “Oh, your thing will be there. Your kit with be there the first week of January.” I was like, “Oh, man.” They said, “We'll put a rush on it.” It never showed up. Then we came home, it still never showed up. So, I contacted them. It got lost, and they were like, “Okay. We're gonna make you another set and we'll send it to you.” They made me another set and within a week, I got a kit.
I love the app. I've had the product for a month, and I've been using it, but my app kept saying, “Don't worry. Your smile is on the way.” Finally, I was able to get ahold of somebody and I said, “Can you fix my app just so I'm kind of up-to-date?” So, that happened. Their customer service responded well. As soon as I called the correct number and told them my situation, it was fixed that day. They shut the app down and turned it back on. As far as my wonky tooth, it's fantastic. There's a big difference in a matter of a couple of months. I only wore them at night, which I didn’t even know was an option. The teeth straightened out, and there were a couple of little inconsistencies on the top that they fixed.

SmileDirectClub was a lot more affordable. I just went to the first consultation being curious and when I saw that everything was done very professionally, I was very confirmed on the decision that I made. Professionals were good. They were very knowledgeable about they were talking. They were fast. Everything worked really well. There were some little issues that I would have liked to have it fixed, and it took me forever to get back into it. When I called them back, I was very surprised that they didn't charge me to do the retouching, even though it was almost a year that I have finished the treatment. I started in Michigan, and I finished in California. Both places that I went to, they scan everything. The dentist heard the things that I was mentioning that it was bothering me, and they fixed it all. So, I'm pretty happy with the results.
My bite still is not perfect, but it's the best that it can be with this type of adjustment. I have one of my front tooth that I broke. It was a little bit still twisted. She managed to rearrange my bite, and now everything is a lot more comfortable. Also, she fixed those front teeth that weren't great. I feel great. I'm not teenager anymore. It's not that my smile is that important to me, but it's definitely a huge improvement compared to before. I need to do my retainers to keep it like this, but I'm still using the last mold that they sent me. Overall, the people SmileDirectClub are very knowledgeable about what they do and very efficient. In almost no time, they will be able to support you and fix you. The price compared to the competitors is amazing.

My bottom teeth were really jammed so tightly together that I couldn't fit floss between. I mentioned it to my dentist and he said I had two options. One was traditional braces and two was Invisalign. He said he didn't use them, but there was another company called SmileDirect that did. And if I wanted, he'd take impressions, send it to them, and I could do what I wanted. So we did that and the price point was reasonable. I got into the four-month treatment plan which I finished and now, I'm in the maintenance plan so that the teeth don't revert back to where they were.
They give a lifetime guarantee but to maintain that guarantee, you have to wear the aligners at night. I started out the first set after the four months. I wore them for three weeks pretty much 22 hours a day and the only time you were supposed to take them out is to eat or drink. They're made out of plastic, so if you tried to eat with them in, you would break them and ruin them. You could drink water when you have them in, but any other beverage besides that then you had to take them out. So I primarily just kept them in. I took them out just to eat and put them back in after I was done eating. When you first put a new set in, they're a little sore for a couple of days, but then it's fine.
Now I'm at the point where I just wear them eight hours a day, whether that's during the day or at night, and I choose to wear them at night. For cleaning, you put the tablet in a small bowl with warm water then you put the aligners in. The tablet dissolves and turns to bubbles, and the reaction of that tablet in the water cleans them. So far, my bottom teeth are a lot straighter and I can fit floss between them. I'm very pleased with the results and I would highly recommend the product. It's good and the company is very responsive to your individual needs. If you have any questions, they help you out and they were fabulous.

The treatment with SmileDirectClub went well. Things were good but I was never connected to a doctor like a dentist, which they said if I want to, I can be connected. On the other hand, initially, whenever I try to call them, I always used to get response within minutes. But later, it was like my calls were not responded. I'm waiting and waiting. So, I was a little bit disappointed with that. Other than that, I have 12 aligners. It was for a six-month treatment initially. Then, I found that one of my tooth was not straight. So, they did extend my treatment. They didn't charge me extra. It was extended for four months, but then it didn't help me at all. It's the same thing. So, that was a little bit disappointing.
Initially, when I sent my impression, this thing happened totally online. They said they were having clinics. So, I wanted to go to their clinic for something physical like if I get to talk to the doctor, but nothing like that happened. It worked for me. My gap is not there, but I do have a crooked teeth. I have paid whatever they asked me to. I didn't want to have a crooked teeth but on the other hand, I also didn't want to extend it again because there is a lot of things when I wear a 22-hour aligner. I don't eat all day and the tooth care is so much more. One more thing which I was very disappointed with was I got a broken aligner when the aligners were shipped to me. When I called first, I was told that I can skip that pair of aligner. My lower aligner was broken for my lower teeth, and I was told that I should move to the next one. I later talked to some dental experts, and they told me that I should never do that because the tooth line gets disturbed.
So, there was a miscommunication. I tried to call them again and somehow the smile expert said, "No, that's not the thing to do." I googled it and I didn't get good advice with the first advice I got. As far as the aligners, they sent me a kit with those putties with one blue color and one gray color, and I did the process at home. It was painful, but it was not that difficult. It was like a half an hour thing in total. The process was good. The best thing was I live in Green River, Utah, which is a remote area. For me to constantly visit a dentist for these things was difficult. So, it was good for me that everything came to my doorstep.

My daughter's bottom teeth were crooked. We received the impressions kit within a week. The putty was weird because you had to fold it over every tooth. But it was quite easy. My daughter is completely done with the program. She just got her retainer two weeks ago. She loves her smile. It works very well. The only thing I had a concern with was the retainer because you have to buy that separately, and they make you purchase it every six months. So it's really gonna be expensive. It's very easy to get ahold of someone in SmileDirect. You just call them and there's no stand by or holding.

SmileDirectClub had reasonable prices in my price range to be able to get the retainers. I went with them for my daughter. We were able to understand everything. They did it step-by-step of what you need to do, how long to wear each one, and how to clean them. My experience has been great. It's easy to be able to order from there and do all the stuff that they need in order to get the retainers for you. It was nice and simple. My daughter's teeth are looking fantastic. She is a lot more confident now. She just does the eight hours at night now. She's very happy.

I made the appointment downtown to get the molds made there at SmileDirectClub. They were very nice. It was very clean. I was able to find it easily. They did all the measurements. And they mailed me the adjusters. They came in a box after a couple of weeks. Everything else was done directly through the mail. The only thing is, they had to extend it a couple of weeks longer. The front, two lower teeth were not correctly straight. I was on my last adjusters. They were a bit off. I noticed that and called. I had to go in and get readjusted. I took that all in stride. Because with my age being in my seventies, I thought things would take longer anyway. But I'm pleased because I was able to achieve my teeth being aligned at a third of the price of Invisalign. And it was $1000 less than the other choice that my dentist gave me. Being retired, I wanted to do something cost efficiently.

My bite was affecting my gum recession and I wanted to improve the appearance of some of my teeth. The results are not perfect but I'm happy with where we are. There's still a couple of teeth that are overlapping, but even my dentist says that it would be hard to get them. I have done a second round of treatment to help with some of the teeth that didn't get resolved the first time. And SmileDirectClub has been good about getting that done as we needed to. They did a touch-up, which was included with the initial price that I paid. Early on, it took longer to get through to people at SmileDirect but over time, they have gotten much better about that. It's been a great experience. It’s very affordable and they’re easy to work with. The one drawback would be if you have major concerns and aren't seeing a dentist in person, it might be trickier.

The directions in the impressions kit from SmileDirectClub were clear and I had no problems with it. The hard part was taking pictures of your mouth. I had a gap and I wanted to close it for some reason and it’s better. It’s good and clean. I like it. I do the retainer at night now and I could see how my teeth shift during the day. There's some resistance when I put it in at night and when I wake up in the morning, it's back to normal. I called one day because I was on my last tray and I didn't see that my gap was closing as much as I wanted it to. The person I was talking to turned out to be a dentist and she asked me to take pictures of my mouth. And on the spot, took pictures of my mouth with the retainers in and with them out. And during the same phone call, she said everything was going good and it was gonna be another two weeks before everything settles in. And it was true. So, I was impressed with that.

I set up an appointment with SmileDirectClub then I went to one of their locations and they scanned my teeth. They were very nice and I had a good experience. A couple of days later they said I was approved and they sent out the kit. Everything was really easy. They would check in with me and they were really good. Wearing the retainer was really easy. There are days I didn't wear it all the time, and that made it hard because it would be a little tight. But anytime I did it as following the directions, it was really smooth and easy. It was just very laid out nicely so you can't mess it up. I wore the retainer for 20 hours a day and this was for four months. It was very comfortable. I was allowed to take them off during eating.
I just had one tooth that had shifted and I wanted that one to go back to where it was. With SmileDirect, the tooth did move. It's really good. It's where it should be and I'm happy with it. I noticed there's a little gap. Because they moved my teeth, they pushed them out a little bit so there was a tiny little gap that I had to go back and get scanned again. SmileDirect will be sending me new touch-up retainers. In a couple of days, I should get those. That's just for three weeks.

One of my friends was doing SmileDirectClub and when I saw her and the results that she was getting, I wanted to try it out too. I had braces, which worked great, but when I got to college, I didn't want to wear retainers. My teeth went back a little bit back to their old form. I wanted to straighten my smile back up and have more confidence in my smile.
The process with SmileDirectClub was great. It was quick and easy. I went to one of the locations that they had in person. I didn't feel confident enough to do it on my own, the impressions and things like that. It was simple and it came right away. It was self-explanatory and a great process. Setting up the appointment was a smooth process for my initial 3D scan, because that's how I chose to go about it. Overall, the customer service has been great. I had to extend out my aligners to continue out treatment because my teeth weren't where I wanted them to be at the end and everyone involved in the process has been very responsive or helpful, and pointed me in a good direction every time. The overall process was good. I like that it was at home and I didn't have to go in. The check-ins at home for the 90-day check-ins were easy to do.
I called three weeks prior to the end of my treatment, letting them know that I didn't think I was going to be done on time. And as much as I thought I was heard out, I was told to wait until my last aligners. I understand that, but any orthodontist and/or person that had seen my teeth knew that my treatment wasn't gonna be done on time. I let them know I was gonna be on vacation the last week of my treatment so I wasn't gonna be able to go in for any appointment. So upon my return, I had to schedule another appointment to get another 3D scan. But that wasn't their fault.
I had to wait another few weeks for my aligners to come in, which had they listened in the first place and looked at my check-in photos and my last ones, my teeth weren't on track with the progress that they had aligned for me. But they have corrected their mistake fairly well. I just have to now play the waiting game of getting my new aligners. There are some minor corrections that could be made, especially when listening to the patient, and also with the understanding of knowing it is all over the phone, not really in person. So, it is a toss-up. But overall, listening to the members themselves is a little bit more important.

My experience with SmileDirectClub was very easy and the aligners were reasonably priced and well packaged. I didn't have to figure out what was going on and what to do. The instructions were all very clear. Also, they had a number of things that you could buy that would help with the experience. The website was mostly easy to use. The only time I ran into problems was if I had to chat with someone about a specific issue, sometimes it took a while to get to a person that wasn't just a machine. But once I get to a person, they take care of issues pretty quickly.
About midway through the process, I had the aligners not completely fitting the teeth. I sent them a message and they had me take pictures and sent me a new kit. My teeth didn't move in the way that they had predicted, so they had to redo six of them to get that to work and they did it quickly. It was all part of the original cost and I didn't have to pay anything extra for that. I really appreciated that.

When my kids were going to the orthodontist, they had to go all the time. With SmireDirectClub, I like the convenience of being able to do it at home. I like that I didn't have to go in but I ended up going in and having it done because SmileDirectClub opened up a place close by. I went to their shop, and they didn't do a big hard sell like I was expecting.
The third day of the treatment was the worst but if you made it to that third day, then you're good. They gave me this heads-up when I was supposed to change them. Somebody said it's easier if you change them the night before so I got into that habit. I change them every week to two weeks. I only wore them for six months 'cause my teeth were not bad. I was good about keeping those in overnight. It was weird when you put in every night. You can feel that there's a little snug. I had a face to face with one of the doctors who said everything was looking good. He was awesome. I was supposed to send in a picture. I wanted to correct the shifting from not wearing my retainer. I went with SmileDirectClub and I corrected the shifting. I didn't have any overcorrection. My teeth are straight. I'm happy with my results through SmileDirectClub. They were at a good price too. When I had to talk to customer service, they were helpful. The first set of retainers wasn't right. I had sent them back. I have a permanent retainer on the bottom, and when they did the scan, for some reason, their scan deleted out my permanent retainer. I talked to them, and they redid everything. I wound up getting my upper teeth after that because I didn't want to try and shift anything with the permanent retainer on the bottom.

My smile and my bottom teeth were crooked. But I'm now very happy with my smile. One of my teeth is not where I want it to be. But I realize it's not something that can change. Smile Direct is good if you're comfortable doing it on your own. But if you need a medical professional with you, then I wouldn't encourage it because it's kind of nerve-racking just to sit there and figure it out.

When I was doing my impression kit, it was good that they had examples of what the good and bad ones looked like. So, the first time I did it, it might not have been as good as after I had to do it a few times. If there was an office close by, I would have chosen to go there because I would have been more comfortable. But that ended up fine. Each person who answered the phone when I called was very professional and extremely helpful. I was very impressed with the people they have to follow up. I like my smile a lot better.

I had other options to go in and get actual surgery done. That would be expensive. But the friends that I talked to were also, “It's about this much money. Maybe $2,000.” I was, “Oh! It's way better than the other surgery idea.” So, I compared the prices eventually on my own, and that was when I went, “SmileDirectClub is the better choice.” When I got the first set of aligners, I got my credit set up so everything was paid off easily. It was smooth. It was painful in the beginning, but I got used to it. I don't have completely straight teeth yet, but because of the policy of being able to keep redoing my aligners until I'm satisfied, it’s working out.
SmileDirectClub should have more locations for 3D scanning in LA, because there are only three. The closest one is far away from me. And I don't like doing the home kit as much as getting the 3D scan because I find it's way more accurate. Whereas the plastic one, I messed up on one of them. I waited too long and it turned into this hard piece of plastic so I couldn't bite down into it. And as a result, the aligners that I got, some of them were painful because they weren't perfectly molded to my teeth. Or they could send extra packs of the plastic stuff so we could make sure we send three accurate ones as opposed to two skanky ones. Other than that, they have done a good job.

My teeth were crossed in the front and I had an overbite. It was painful in the first few hours where they put in a new set for me. But I would usually put them in at six o'clock at night. So by the time I went to bed, I didn't have any discomfort. I finished with SmileDirect in February and there is a significant difference. I'm very happy.

I went in and saw a doctor and they did a scan. I sat there and had my mouth open for under two minutes. It was pretty cool. I got the kit in two weeks' time. When I had an issue, they emailed me back right away. It seemed to be fine, so we're all good. I'm already done with the process and my smile looks great. Overall, SmileDirect's price is better than most other competitors, the customer service is great and it works.

I had a few complications about my first kit from SmileDirectClub. They were a bit tight and uncomfortable at first. But once I kept on using it, it was all good. I signed up with them to fix my crooked smile and they said it would take six to eight months. It did and now, I'm very excited about my smile.

Invisalign was $6,000 and that's insanely ridiculous. SmileDirect is about one third of that price. I did read about the various companies that offer direct to consumer braces or aligners that are not Invisalign, and SmileDirect got really good ratings in many categories. I had a lot of temporomandibular joint syndrome. It's pain in the jaws. I got scanned and SmileDirect said they can fix it. So I went into treatment at night only for eight months. When the treatment was finished, they were not correct. I sent them pictures and they said, "Yeah. This isn't right." So they sent me four more months of aligners. I just finished them in March. So I'm now in my retainers. My jaw has not popped out once since I put these aligners in that's over a year now. The TMJ is gone. My teeth are beautiful. They are perfectly aligned. My smile is beautiful.
I wore the aligners a minimum of 10 hours every day. I follow directions very well. You're going to feel pressure on your teeth because something is in there jerking your teeth around. So that's to be expected. Nothing was so painful I couldn't live with it. The discomfort that occurred when you put a brand new set of aligners in is only for a couple of days and that was okay. It’s a good thing I know how to do nail filing. Because there was always one part of every aligner that was totally messed up and stuck out and stabbed me in the cheek. So I would have to take this little nail file and then this other little much more finer nail file and file it down. It was the back right corner of every upper aligner. But it took me a couple of times to get my nail file since I didn't get one in the original package. They sent me a regular nail file. But I bought a much finer graded one that made them so smooth.
Once I got it to file down, it was good for two weeks. But it happened the next time I put the new one in. So that was not a big problem. It’s a typical thing you have to deal with these. This is what's going to happen to every set no matter what company you use. I just learned to deal with that. The discomfort of moving my teeth around was not a problem either. This went on for 12 months because I only wore mine at night.
The first set of aligners they gave me was not proper. They did not fix my teeth. It was clear that there was a problem with number 24 being behind number 23 and number 25. When I went down and got them rescanned, they immediately recognized the issue and sent me four more months of aligners, which I just kept doing the same old deal. But then they were up last month, and I started putting the retainers in last month. So the retainers are now retaining my teeth and the proper alignment correct.
SmileDirect is great as long as everything goes as planned. They have a very well-defined marketing plan and medical plan. But as soon as something is not according to plan, they cannot handle it. They don't have any facility for handling anomalies. It took me five weeks to get a file. Then I finally realized you can go down to CVS and buy this file. I thought it was a special file. It was a regular nail file. But nobody told me that. The other thing is that it took me four tries to get my pictures loaded at the end of my first treatment and have somebody evaluate that. It took several weeks before my pictures got seen by the dentist and I got contacted about doing it again.
When you call SmileDirect, there are some menus you have to go through, but you can eventually get somebody. If they need to send you to the Smile team or the dental team, they'll do it right away. There are different types of problems with accounting, payments, delivery, and dental work. Everybody is so nice. They have their little marketing sit down perfectly where they make you feel good when you talk with them. All the young people are so cute. They do try and help you. I recommended SmileDirect to my sister. She actually went and got scans.
I really enjoyed the process. I enjoyed watching my teeth improve and understanding the physics of what they're doing with their aligners. It was cool. It was also fun talking to the dentist about it. My teeth are beautiful. Now, everything is all lined up nice and pretty. They did some adjustments to the relative height of my teeth too because now instead of my teeth crouching down where you can't see my bottom teeth at all, my top teeth sit a little bit higher so there's about half a centimeter of my bottom teeth actually visible. This looks so much better. I like the process of seeing on SmileDirect's site my old teeth and being able to go look at how they were going to move that. They send you a video and you can play it and watch your teeth move around on the video. It's so cool.

I want to preface by saying that the customer service is excellent and people on the phone ad in the studios are very kind and helpful, but it still doesn't make up for the fact that the process never worked for me, even after being very strict following directions and keeping aligners on for most of the day. I started my process in 2017 and I was so excited and believed the reviews that I did pay in full instead of opting for the monthly option, big mistake. I had to interrupt the process because I had teeth issues and since they don't give refunds they agreed to start me again when I was ready. And I did, I was excited again.
The problem was that after the first 2-3 pairs the aligners just would not fit, I did call and had them do another scan and have them sent me new ones, I did this twice and both times the aligners did NOT fit. I was told to just keep them on even tho they hurt but i DON'T want to break my teeth just to be polite. I did give up because the solution to this was to just follow a process that was hurting me and not helping me and look at myself every day hating my teeth and knowing I lost money for no reason, I got absolutely nothing out of this. If you are looking for a cheaper option just don't, save money and go to a real dentist.

It was a pretty easy and smooth process to receive the kit, do my daughter's impression, and send it back. Then, we received communication that they received it and that her aligners were coming. Also, the cost was cheaper than when we did Invisalign with one of our other daughters through our orthodontist. It's also a lot smoother process because she didn't have to go in for visits. She had one issue with one of the aligners hurting but all she had to do was file and cut it down and then she was fine. I have told people that my daughter had good outcomes with it and we really liked it.

My experience was very nice when I signed up with SmileDirectClub. They took my measurements and they work pretty fast when I email them with issues. One time, the thing that aligns the teeth broke and they replaced it for me. The process was a little painful in the beginning, but then it was very nice. My bottom teeth were a little crooked and I can see the results. The only thing that is negative is that I have to wear the aligners pretty much for the rest of my life and the price should be less because the price for the process was already very high. But other than that, it’s a good process.

I was trying to improve the overall spacing of teeth and I'm on my third touch-up with SmileDirect. My teeth have shifted quite a bit, but the final product has not been to my liking. Before I started this final touch-up, I still had a gap on either side of one of my front teeth. Also, originally, it was quoted that the treatment would be about five months, with free touch-ups should it not be to my liking, and it's taking a lot longer than I had expected it. Had I just gone with braces, it might have gotten the job done in a better time even though it would have been more expensive. I would have been able to see a doctor and there would have been more check-ins. My biggest critique is no one really checks in with me until the treatment is complete and then I have the option to say whether or not it is to my satisfaction. But they seem to be tracking in the right direction. I still have another tray and about three weeks left of this treatment in order to see if they move completely to something I'm satisfied with. I just have to trust that it's working.

We had a consultation done at an orthodontist. My son had minor issues, and mostly spacing. It was gonna take over a year and a half, which was the same amount of time my daughter had when she had the major issues. The cost was gonna be almost two and a half times more than SmileDirect. So, the cost was definitely better. The time was better because he only spent five months in aligners. We also liked the idea of him being able to remove them during sports.
We had to get a second kit, which was kinda frustrating. My daughter was in school for dental hygiene and she had just done impressions at school. So, she was super excited to help with it and didn't read all the directions. She rolled all the putty, and put it in all the things because that was what they did at school. Then she went to put them in, and they were hardened. So, we had to get another kit. The kit was a lot like what they use at dental school, but it's a little different. So, it wasn't hard. It was just a matter of reading the directions and making sure that you do them one at a time. You roll the putty, put it in, and take the impression. But I would suggest that SmileDirect package them separately, instead of just giving the whole kit. They do have videos. There's plenty of support. You can contact them and chat with them at any time. It was just a matter of we didn't read the directions completely.
My son has finished the program and we saw results very quickly. He had some pain but nothing massive. It was not like getting your braces tightened. He's very happy. I'm very happy too. He looks great. We got the three-pack retainer because it was cheaper. But that lifetime guarantee they have is a little funky because you have to have a new retainer every six months or it's not guaranteed for life. They say it's $99 apiece, so that's a little misleading. But I understand where they're coming from because the retainers will wear out. But they're fine. We'll eventually have to order more, but we won't be buying them every six months. He wore the retainers for three weeks all the time, just like his aligners. So, he was used to doing it. It's just a thicker material, so they're a little bit stronger. After three weeks, he only wears them at night and he'll do that for the rest of his life.
When they send the kit, it includes the packets that say, “Hey, these are things that you can get. And you can get it really cheap.” There's something called a smile spa that we ended up buying for my daughter for her retainer. It's amazing. It's got UV light and ultrasonic. You can throw your retainers and aligners in there, push a button, and 10 minutes later, they're beautifully clean. I even bought one for my mom for her partial. They're fantastic. They get all the grossness off there that you can't get off with a toothbrush.

I was very excited about the option of Smile Direct Club to straighten my teeth. The first time, the aligners didn't straighten out all the teeth. It was very difficult getting customer service but once I got it, I was issued more aligners and another 4 months. Now the new aligners have caused all my front teeth to crowd together and I can't seem to get customer service to help me. They can market to new customers like nobody's business but their customer support, once you are a customer is HORRIBLE! By the way, it is not less expensive. I had priced out regular braces and it was practically exactly the same price.

The first thing on my mind, when I got the kit from SmileDirect, was how painful this was going to be. But, it really wasn't too bad. Took about a day to get used to the different aligners. Then, after the day, it went pretty smoothly. My two front teeth were always crooked and they did an incredible adjustment. Now, I don't have a problem smiling at pictures anymore. I also got an email from them today to notify me that, "It's time for you to update your retainers." I never really have to worry. They send out the product, I get it in a timely fashion, and they're always on top of things. I appreciate that type of business. My son also did SmileDirect and he used to have a gap in-between his teeth that made him look like he was a jukebox. He can fit four quarters in between his teeth. Now, he doesn't have any gaps.

My teeth were off to a point that they would slip when I would bite. I went to SmileDirect thinking that they could get it working. They said, originally, it was supposed to be five months, but it turned into two years. They sent the first set of retainers after I finished. It took seven months and the first set of retainers was way off. They didn't even fit in my mouth. I just kept wearing the old retainer for both years and then they did another five months of aligners. But I went to the dentist and the dentist suggested I go to an orthodontist because my teeth were off. She told me that there are only four teeth that are chewing and the other teeth don't touch. I've been having trouble with a crown and fillings having to be replaced because the tooth pressure is off.
But all the people at SmileDirect were great. It's just that the lab couldn't make very good aligners. The aligners and the retainers weren't very good. The aligners were not accurate. Then, I'd go in and get it scanned again, and then one set would be good, but then the next one would be off. It also took a long time for that first retainer to get corrected.

My top teeth were moving out and the back teeth were far back that I couldn't even floss. I wanted to correct that. I went to a 3D clinic and the rep was excellent. He was so nice and good. I finished the aligners. I'm using the retainer now. I just went to the dentist and he said, "Your teeth are perfect." But it seemed like my top teeth are moving out and I would bite my gum again. I told SmileDirect that I didn't know what I should do and they told me to wear the retainer longer. So I started wearing them longer than just at night and that solved the problem.
Before the end of my treatment, they said I could get three retainers for the price of two. So I ordered those. The left side of my bottom teeth is not straight flat up like they're supposed to be. They're turned in. So those retainers were made so that my teeth are flat. When I put them in, that one side just popped up and I can't get it to stay down. So I sent a text to ask what to do and they said, "Put that side in first." I did that, and I cut a lot of it off too. In time, it fits in there fine. But when I have to go to the next new retainer, I'm probably going to have the same problem. So I don't know if I should have them do a 3D thing again and make sure they fit good in the future. But overall, everything was good.

The process at SmileDirectClub was fine up until the end. I'm at the last step where I'm just waiting on my retainer that's supposed to be what I can keep wearing. I inquired about it and I got something saying, "Sorry, there are delays." But it's been four months. So, I'm wearing the last two sets of aligners and because I kept wearing them all the time, both have cracked. I'm frustrated at this point because I want my retainer.

I had one tooth in the front that was pushed back on my lower smile and it always bothered me. I took advantage and got it done at Smile Direct. I had a fairly decent experience. However, it took double the amount of time it quoted because, when one of my mouthguards broke, I was not impressed that it took almost six weeks to get me a new one. My teeth shifted all the way back. For how quickly I got started in the first place, I was surprised how fixing something took so long that my teeth completely shifted. They didn't charge me for it, but I just finished wearing them every day. I was supposed to be done in October and I just finished end of February 'cause I had to essentially start all over again.
Like anything, the first time you put it on, you have to get used to it. They were incredibly painful on my gums. But I had to just Google things that people have said to do, like wax that you wear on your braces. I did all that. After the first month, that went away, but that was definitely the most painful part was the cutting of my gums. But otherwise, it wasn't like agony or pain. It was the discomfort of something hard trying to put pressure on your teeth. I am very happy with the results. I would definitely recommend it, for sure.

I went through the whole treatment at SmileDirect. I accomplished partially my goal. I informed them that I still had a little diversion in my front teeth, but they said they couldn't really help me further on. I was bummed about it because I really wanted to get rid of the gap. The doctor didn't really recommend getting more done and it was healthy the way that they looked. I also feel really better because at least they're all straightened. They're fair enough.
However, every transition was really painful. If they would have said, "Prepare yourself with some Orajel before doing this." It would be a lot helpful. But I had to learn that on my own during the process. I also ran out of the hard-chewing mints that come in the kit just to get those puppies really snapped on. They only gave me five of them in the kit. I would have liked at least 10 more, I would go through the whole treatment fine. They also gave me a teeth-whitening kit. It's a portable laser that you can just connect to your phone. You can do that for in-between changes.

I honestly don't know how SmileDirect has such good reviews. It seems like it would be a great thing up front, especially considering the cost, but honestly it has been a nightmare. I am waiting on my third touch-up because my bottom teeth have moved in front of my upper teeth due to the aligners that were sent by Smile Direct. I have actually chipped my upper tooth from my bottom teeth hitting the upper and not being able to close my mouth all the way, had to have it repaired by my dentist. It has been a terrible experience waiting for the touch-up. And this is my third touch-up! I noticed on the second touch-up that the aligners were not moving my teeth correctly, but every time I called Smile Direct they just stated to finish the aligners out and trust the "process" and all the time I know their "process" is not working. Smile Direct will NOT listen to me as a customer.
Each time I try to call to get the touch-up they ask for photos of my teeth, however, the instructions they send are always in French. I don't speak French! I have to call back and be put on hold once again and for whatever reason the customer service does not know how to send the instructions in English. Then they state I will receive an impression kit and a follow-up email or phone call in 3-5 days, this NEVER happens! They never follow up. It literally takes 10 phone calls to get them to keep their word. When I call they seem to have no clue what is going on and want me to send the photos again, that I have already sent multiple times.
I am beyond frustrated with this company! I am over a year in my treatment and most of the time all I am doing is waiting for the next thing or someone to contact me (which, again, never happens). I highly recommend going somewhere else and paying more, there is no care or concern about the customer with this company. Somewhere along the line there is a huge gap in Smile Direct's communication in-house and process within the company. Oh, by the way I am still waiting...

SmileDirectClub's reps were very professional. I liked that they would send all of the Invisaligns at once, label them, and give notifications. I got text notifications and they also have an app which let me reschedule if I got off track. So it was a very smooth process. I'm done with the thing and I'm just on the retainer. The results are not perfect, but better than where I was at. If others have a little bit of crowding in their mouth or a little bit of straightening that they're wanting to do, I would recommend them to do SmileDirect.

I had a gap between my two front teeth and I wanted that to be closed in and that was my main thing. I could get a nicer smile. I love it. SmileDirect sent me new aligners but they did not fit. I had to call them and they said, "No problem. What you can do is keep the old ones that I had just taken out and take a picture." There were three different picture poses that I needed to send and send it to them. Within two weeks, I got in a new set and they fit perfectly. Make the investment in it. Customer service is very good and I've been very pleased.

I wear them 22 hours out of the day and it's not difficult to keep up with at all. I just take them out when I eat. Every once in a while, when I get a new aligner, it pushes out in a different area and will rub my lip or my gum but I can usually make adjustments to it and it fixes the problem. I got four or five months left but so far, my teeth straightening out.

I had braces in the past when I was younger and then I stopped wearing my retainers, so my teeth shifted, but they weren't terribly shifted. I did some research and I saw good results in SmileDirectClub, so I figured I'd be a good candidate. I signed up online, they sent me out the kit to do my impressions, sent it back in and received all the retainers. I had my app that I would help track everything. I stayed on track for the full treatment, so I got my results within the five months, as promised.

I went to their store and the process was really quick. The lady was super nice and she explained everything. Then, I got my kit and the directions were super easy. Also, I appreciated all the emails and reminders. I could not be happier with the results and I would recommend you SmallDirectClub.

SmileDirectClub was the cheapest. I made an appointment with them, they scanned my teeth, and I waited for the liners to come in. That was to fix my bottom row. The results are good. It fixed the bottom row. I just did it again for them to fix more of the overbite. Try out SmileDirectClub.

I drove to one of SmileDirect's facilities to have them do the scan and I was very impressed with that. They have great people down there who were very friendly. They helped me out and answered my questions. Then I purchased everything and when I had to send in pictures, that went smoothly. The retainers did exactly what I needed it to do and I would tell others to give SmileDirect a shot.

From the start of getting my mold to the reminders that I get now, everything has been really great with SmileDirectClub. For a little bit of the middle part, I didn't know if I was seeing anything anymore. Then, on my last aligner, I started to see even more changes a few days into it. Working with them was worth it despite the negatives of where there's a little bit of the discomfort for a couple of days. But once you start getting into your later aligners, that pain is just minimal.

It was a very clean process with SmileDirectClub. Everybody's been so helpful. I've only had one problem, but it got resolved very quickly. It was very easy to get ahold of somebody. I've got five more left to go through, but it's all been a very smooth transition. I love the result. It's everything I expected.

The process with SmileDirectClub was way more straightforward than I expected. At first, it seemed sketchy to me. I didn't want to do the mold and send it in, so I went into an office out in Nassau County and they were so helpful and explained everything. They made it so simple. I got home and everything was in the box. I couldn't possibly mess it up. It was inconvenient at first adjusting to having to take them out to eat, making sure I was keeping them clean. It took a couple of weeks to adjust to it. Once I got used to it, I didn't mind it because it was such a quick process knowing six months out, I'm instantly seeing my teeth get so much better. I had braces previously so comparative experience is unreal. My mom doesn't believe this is real. Half of her nursing friends now are all doing it.
I also got the whole free sample the whitening kit. That was even easier because I used to do the Crest white strips, but they would make my teeth very sensitive and painful. I had smoked for a long time, so I needed to get a good whitening done and this is the only thing that's worked. It worked fast. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff from SmileDirectClub because I had some coupons that they gave me. I ended up getting a water flosser. I've never been able to floss my teeth before. I also got the gel pen with the little light retainer plug-in thing that plugs into your phone. I had a great experience with SmileDirectClub and I've recommended it to everyone that's asked. I want everyone else to have the easiness that I did. I would tell anyone that's trying to do anything with their teeth, "Do it this way. It's the easiest." I could not be happier. This well exceeded my expectations, especially for the price.

Everything went good with SmileDirectClub except that at the end, I ordered my retainers and they haven't sent them. It's been since November. I'm still wearing the last retainer and it's getting queued up. I keep calling and using this little text app, and it just says we’re in process. Other than that, the process was simple and the results have been pretty good. My teeth are not totally perfect and I don't think it's as good as if I went the traditional route where you're going into a dentist's office all the time. But you get what you pay for and it was much less expensive than that. I'm happy and I got what I wanted.

I used SmileDirectClub for my daughter. The fitting was good. It gave a little discomfort, but it is to be expected. It gave her the results that she wanted. We got a 10-month plan. The whole process was great. I was able to reach someone anytime I needed them. SmileDirect was great. When I'm ready, I might use it too.

I was debating doing SmileDirectClub for about a year. I liked the idea of being able to do my own mold and sending them in instead of having to go to an office. I got the kit and I had no issues. I've had whitening trays done before so I knew how the whole molding thing went. Definitely pay attention to instructions. It is very easy to double-bite them. It's just quickly a one time bite.
When I got my liners, they were tight but that was what I expected. A few of them every now and then would hurt but that was just a pin that would move up more. I have completed my treatment and I feel great about my new smile. I had to have more of the liners sent because my teeth weren't finished at the very end and SmileDirectClub sent them quickly. I still have one stubborn tooth so if I forget to wear my retainers at night, sometimes it wiggles a little bit and moves back. But it goes right back whenever I start wearing my retainers again.

I've been very happy with SmileDirectClub. They are a lot less expensive than Invisalign, which I initially looked at, and the teeth weren't that noticeable, except to me. At first, the process was a little touchy because I couldn't reach anybody on the phone. I wanted to put the charge on CareCredit and I couldn't get any clarifications. I did the stretcher and sent the pictures up, but I almost canceled. Finally, somebody called me back and we clarified it and put it on CareCredit.
The aligners took a day to really fit well, but they worked well and I did everything I was supposed to. However, the 12th one didn't fit well and they couldn't get it to work. They told me to come in to the nearest office. They took pictures then sent me six new aligners, which fit really well right away. I also ordered retainers, initially, and they replaced the retainers for me at no extra charge. I'm really pleased with the results, and people noticed that my teeth look good. I never had the bottom teeth straightened, but they straightened out, and I was amazed at that. The top teeth are in good shape too. I just have to do some whitening with them.

SmileDirectClub is cheaper compared to other companies and the payment plan option is great for somebody who doesn't have two grand to throw at some teeth they want work done. On the first package with the molds, I liked that they had a discount option. I paid $15 for them to send me the molds. Then I got a gift card from them. My insurance didn't cover it, so they ended up giving me $100 discount for the insurance not covering it.
They're very willing to work with me payment-wise. Their customer service is great. I wasn't able to pay my monthly bill on time this month. I was able to call and let them know I just started school so money's a little tight and that I could pay it on the 1st. They said it was not a problem. Everybody is nice. The whole process has been great. I love the package when I got everything. The packaging, in general, not to sound corny, but it makes you feel like royalty. There's a lot of care put into the package itself when it is sent. My gap is almost gone. That's awesome. My front tooth was out a little bit further and it's working on that too as well as on my overbite. Stuff that I didn't care about is still getting fixed. I would recommend SmileDirectClub to family and friends.

SmileDirect was $3,000 cheaper than the orthodontics that we're gonna do with my teeth. The first time I put them in, they hurt ‘cause they're shifting my teeth. But after that, it was okay. However, the front of the teeth was straight, but I didn't have a bite. I was upset. I already paid and the treatment was over. But I went to a dentist two years later. The dentist told me she worked at SmileDirect. She said, “It’s a lifetime type of guarantee thing. If they didn't fix the teeth right, also, the session was over, you still have to go back and they will fix it.” So, they're fixing it now. I've been in treatment, still. They've been correcting it.

I like the price of SmileDirect. It's also a much easier process, not having to go in for appointments every week. I prefer it over having to go see a doctor multiple times throughout the whole thing. Plus it was only four months. I have a night retainer that I wear. I’m very responsible when it comes to those things, so I didn't have a problem remembering to switch them. It was easy for me to keep track of it and use the app to keep track of it.
After I finished, they told me I could go ahead and order my retainers, so I did that. But, I didn't hear back from anybody for two weeks, and then somebody randomly emailed me and said, “We need to get new scans for you.” That wasn't made clear before so I had to go back in again, get my new scans done, and then have those ordered, which took another 2 to 3 weeks. I also had my retainers thrown away on accident and so I am completely without a retainer right now. When I ordered the new retainers, I wanted to pay to get them expedited, but they said that that wasn't an option. So now I'm without a retainer at night and my teeth are moving a little bit which is annoying.

I did the 3d option at SmileDirect and they were affordable. It went quicker than I expected. They did the 3D, and then they talked to me, and I was out. They told me it was gonna take a while, about three weeks, but they came within a week. When I tried it out, my mouth was a little sore. But I used to wear braces when I was young and it wasn't bad like when I was young. I finished the process and I'm at retainers where I just wear them at night. Using these aligners was definitely better than regular braces. My teeth are the straightest I've ever seen them.
However, whenever I'd call in to get some assistance, all of the customer service reps were foreigners. There was always a language barrier there, and I would get so frustrated. I would try to explain things to them. But I would finally give up. I got an email from a rep out of Tennessee and she was welcoming, she said, "If you ever have any question, contact me at this number or this email." I tried to because I needed to get some answers. But if they're gonna send me an email saying that I can contact them at this number, let me contact them then.

I went to SmileDirectClub's office in San Diego where they were super helpful and nice. We did the impression kit and they gave me a few brightening kits on the house. They sent my impressions kit to a doctor, then I got my actual retainer progressing in the purple box in the mail in about four weeks. I followed it routinely and using the retainers was a little painful but not too bad. I've had braces in the past, so I knew what to expect with the pain. They also provided a very small file and up until halfway through the process of fixing my smile, my girlfriend and another sailor gave me the education of what that was for. It was to file down the sharp edges of the retainers and the waxes to also put on retainers to make it not cut your teeth up, which it was doing at the time.
If I had any questions, SmileDirectClub's reps were super responsive. I've finished my retainers and towards the end, I called them and they gave me my actual retainers that I'm wearing today. Recently, I purchased an item online and it didn't work properly. I reached out to them and they gave me a new one. I would recommend them to anybody over the other companies like Invisalign or Bite. SmileDirectClub is super affordable as well.

I wanted to straighten my teeth and my dentist said he thought I would be a candidate for SmileDirect. I contacted and filled out the survey to get where they would send me the mold to do the impressions of my teeth, and then they sent me the information on how much it would be. Anytime I had any questions, they replied back to me quickly. The process wasn't terrible. My mouth definitely got cut up quite a bit with them. But that's to be expected. My results in the end, I wish my teeth were a little bit straighter on the top, but it's not terrible.

I love SmileDirect. It was great. My bottom teeth are very crooked. It wasn't the most comfortable thing. But when they went inside my mouth, it was easy and pain-free. There was nothing uncomfortable about it and they walked me through the program. A couple of weeks later, I got all these retainers. I was discouraged because the first one they put in was very uncomfortable, I was not used to it. It was awful. But when I woke up, I looked at the very last retainer in the collection that they sent to me and I saw how straight my teeth would be if I followed their program. So, that gave me the encouragement to go through and do the whole thing. My husband did it at the same time I did. His teeth weren't so bad and he never had a problem. I was using the wax, I was filing, I was cutting the back off. It was a really good process.
However, I was gonna go in and stop in the shop here in Tampa. I'm not crazy about the retainer I've been wearing since I finished. It's fine but it's it's not as seamless as some of my other things have been. But it's doing its job. I have to get a new one every six months to keep my guarantee. I went online and I put on my video camera and talked with the person and it was really a very simple process.

My teeth were crooked and I wanted to straighten them out. I used SmileDirectClub based on what my dentist said. It made me feel confident it was a good one. The set up was explanatory with the information and videos they gave. And with each set of liners, it was simple to follow the guidelines there. After I finished the process, I wasn't quite satisfied so they sent me another couple of sets to tweak it. I did another tweak after that and did the final couple of adjustments. I feel happy with the results so I went ahead and left it where it was. I'm 92% satisfied with SmileDirectClub. It was definitely worth it.

Communication was on-point. They were on top of everything and answered the phone really fast. They were about making me happy with what I wanted to achieve and how to get my smile back. They were on it with all the mistakes that were made with all the aligners. The first time, there was a problem with one of the aligners broken in one of the teeth. The second time that it happened, I was overseas during summer vacation and they weren't the proper fit for my teeth. I had to come in after I came back to fix it and it took a couple of months longer. But I'm very happy with them.

I had a 3D scan and it was really fast and pleasant. The reps were nice and very professional and the room was clean. I got my box of aligners not long after and I was really excited. But when I got my box, the file wasn't there so I called customer service and they sent me out one. Wearing the aligner was a bit weird in the beginning, like something was squeezing my teeth but I was positive about everything. Then, I got the touch-up process. My bottom teeth are not in line completely but I'm kind of okay. Now, I have a retainer and I'm really confident that I can do it every day.

I wanted to fix a gap in my teeth. And one of my bottom teeth is crooked. So, SmileDirectClub is probably better than braces. I'm happy with it because my gap is closed and I'm not even done. I would recommend it.

My dentist suggested Invisalign but I didn't want to pay $5,000. I have looked at SmileDirect and a couple of other ones. I went with Smile because it had been around the longest. I decided cause it was nearby my home to go do the 3D ‘cause I didn't want to screw up the molding. It went well. It was just as I had imagined. They signed, checked in and asked me a few questions, went into a little room. They asked me if they could record it for training purposes. I said, sure. Then they have a monitor. Then it was like a little electric toothbrush, but it was a wand connected to a cable. They gently put it all along your mouth. As they were doing that, you were watching on the screen and it was forming a 3D image of all your teeth. I paid it all upfront so it saved me $450.
I got it in four weeks. I've never had braces or retainers, so it was an interesting feeling. It was tight. A little uncomfortable, but they recommend you wear it at night so that you sleep through the first growing pains of it. Now, my bottom teeth have definitely been moved. My completion date is around April 9th. They have a graph. I'm 38% of the way done.

To make it short & simple. The product is inferior compared to Invisalign, plus the once you buy terrible doctors on victual check ups product cracked and come unfinished they send you a nail filer to trim that says it all. If you finance them beware of if you have an issue they push you pass the 30 days to not give any refunds leave you to deal with a loan shark finance company. I have a useless product cuts my gums and now have collection on my credit. Do yourself a favor get a real dentist to evaluate and actual in person check ups and a superior product Invisalign not a 3d printer cheap aligners.

SmileDirectClub seemed the best option and with the best pricing. Wearing the retainers caused some inconvenience, but you can't go around that. I could take them off when I eat. So, it's the better option than wearing braces. I recommend it and it's a simple procedure if you wanna go about it.

SmileDirectClub worked good on me. It was an easy process and everything worked great. Wearing the retainers hurt, but I got used to it. It closed my gap and straightened my bottom teeth because they were sideways. I have a friend that's thinking about getting it. SmileDirect is a great company.

We had Invisalign and we had already done some corrective measures, but they didn't stick. So, I wasn't willing to go and spend an additional $5,000 for Invisalign. We went with SmileDirect because of the testimonies that I read online and the price. For the most part, the process was a good experience. I only had one customer service person who was completely not helpful at all. There were other good ones. So, it was fine. I paid for this as a graduation gift for my daughter and I was gonna do the same thing for my son here shortly. So, I am gonna look into doing this again because we did have a good experience and my son wants to do it. I told him, "Let me see how this works with Savannah first." Early on, I did pay for some stuff for their teeth, and then they didn't keep up with it as they got older, and so the teeth moved. So, I wasn't willing to spend too much additional money.
The process for my daughter was good. We did the mold and send it in. It was easy. There was only one point where she had a stubborn tooth that wouldn't move and the things didn't seem to fit. The hardest part was she was at college and, since she is 18 years old now, she had to make all the changes to the account instead of me. That was difficult so I'm trying to help her out. You've got to call and you've got to do this. They won't give me the information which was okay, even though a little frustrating at times. I made her handle it. There was a delay because she gave her my Gmail. I set up the account initially. Then, she tried to give the information. I don't know if she gave wrong information or they couldn't find the account. So then, it caused the delay later on. She had to get something fixed because something wasn't fitting right and there was a tooth not moving. Then, somebody didn't put our order in correctly.
I finally had to call in and say I was Savannah to get it taken care of because I think she just had a bad rep. I said, "All right, that's enough. We got to get this taken care of now. I'm taking care of this." So, I did and I took care of it. The guy I talked to was amazing. He said, "I'm so sorry. They put the information in, but they missed a step. And because they missed a step, that's why you have gotten no information in the last month." So, that part of the process was not good. We did have a problem with the tooth not moving, and then the aligner not fitting. So then, whoever my daughter initially talked to didn't do the process correctly. Then, when she called again to try to follow up on it, that's when she couldn't get her account handled and they said they didn't see her account.
My daughter loved her aligners. Wearing them is fine but she likes the results. It's given her more confidence in her smile. The front tooth is straightened out. We are still in the process. It took us a while to get the process fixed because we did have a problem with not fitting the aligner. So, that one tooth that is behind moved a little, but not enough and it's not budging. So now, we're in the process of trying to go back and get it refitted. I did pay for some additional imprints for her teeth but she doesn't mind wearing them and she has seen there's visible changes and that makes all the difference because that's the whole reason why we did it. We're pleased and I'm willing to do the whole experience again.

The process was great. I went in that day and got scanned. I did it in 30 minutes, then they sent me the aligners three weeks later. It was really easy. I had braces when I was 26, and the aligners were a lot less painful than that. The result was in line with expectations too. They straightened out my teeth, so it was good. I'd tell people SmileDirectClub is a good experience and they should do it.

I'm happy with the process and the results with Smile Direct. However, a lot of times, when you call in to do the progression, it's a whole process. Because if you don't get the dental team, they have to transfer you and you get a lot of runaround. But in all actuality, when I finally got to the dental team, the lady said, “This is all you have to do.”

I wanted to straighten up some of the sideways teeth. It wasn't a horrible situation, but I just wanted to perfect it. I liked SmileDirect. I went to a salon in the area, and they did all the testing. Then I heard from the lab within a couple of days. It was easy for me to do it myself. I was pleased with the whole process. The whole time I was wearing the retainer, it was so transparent. I had perfect teeth even prior to being done with the process because nobody could tell I was wearing it whenever I had it on. It was worth the money.

I had a couple of crooked teeth that have been like that since I was a teenager and I wanted them fixed. Working with SmileDirect was pretty easy and during the four months that I needed to wear my retainers, I had them on pretty much all day, unless I was eating or drinking. There was a little pressure when I would put a new tray in but other than that, there was no feeling while I used them. The end results were pretty close to what I was looking for and it feels good because I don't have crooked teeth anymore.

I was very optimistic although after getting 5 scans and receiving 5 sets of aligners that did not fit anywhere near properly I could not continue. I could not continue to be ignored, disappointed, taken advantage of, dismissed, taking time off of work, using gas back and forth to the SDC office, countless chats, emails and calls where not one person would help me, etc. Every single time I received my aligners I would take them back to the SDC scan office to show them and ask them 'whose aligners are these', 'are these supposed to fit me'? The ladies would look at me and the aligners in absolute disbelief and scan me again and this happened again and again and again and again.
I am sorry but I cannot and will not go away; I fight for what is right and it is not right for this company to take advantage of me or anyone else. I will continue to fight for myself and all 'the little people' who they continually take advantage of each and every single day.

SmileDirectClub is pretty easy to access in New York City. It was an annoying process but it was worth it for the results. It helped me fix something I was self-conscious about, and that was very important to me. My front tooth gap is fixed. I tried to fix some crowding on the bottom teeth, but it was not as effective. So I had to let that go after a period of time. But all I really wanted was the front teeth, in the first place, because the bottom teeth are covered. I wore the aligners all this summer, for as exactly how long is the scheduling thing said. Now I just wear the retainer at night.

I had a tooth in particular that was set back. I had a retainer as a child and that corrected it for a while. As I got older, my tooth shifted again and I didn't feel comfortable when I saw that in person and in pictures. I had a good experience with SmileDirectClub. I reached out, at one point, and there wasn't a close place to go in my area. I didn't really feel comfortable with the mail-in impressions that they did. I was lucky that a pop-up happened in my area close by and I went to that. That was very easy and quick. They explained things really well and showed me all the 3D pictures. It was pretty straightforward which to use and how long to use them.
The aligners took some getting used to at first. They were tight as they said they would be and I had to get used to talking with them on, but it was okay. It was worth it. I could see results. I see that that tooth is now more aligned with the rest of my teeth. I'm pretty happy with my smile. It could be tweaked a little bit, but it seems almost like the retainers I'm wearing after the fact are even clearing that up a bit. My teeth seem pretty straight.

I had my molars or my wisdom teeth taken out and that caused some crowding at the bottom. A tooth stuck out and I kept biting my lip. I didn't wanna do conventional braces so I gave SmileDirectClub a try and it worked out. I had the kit sent to me. The aligners were not a perfect fit but the results were pretty satisfying. My top teeth definitely looked better straight. I didn't even know they were crooked. I like my new smile a lot. It's great. If I do this again, I would go out of my way to go in and have a 3D done because that would probably give you a better overall bite.

I was happy with my treatment experience years ago, but getting a full set of replacement retainers has become impossible. They only send me retainers for my top teeth now because I had a "touchup" treatment on the top teeth? I even did a new impression kit at their request in order to get the bottom ones, but when they came in the mail, guess what? Only top retainers. Agents began refusing to chat with me, just ending the chat before even saying Hi. I spoke to someone on the phone and she wanted me to go in to an office for a 3D scan. I don't live near an office, and I already did a new impression. Asked for half my money back since I only got the top retainers but they refused. Done with SmileDirect. Just go to a real orthodontist! It might cost more but it will save you the pain.

The process with SmileDirectClub went really smoothly. From them sending us the molds, doing that ourselves, and sending it back, it was pretty quick. We felt like they were very much on top of things from the get-go. It was for my son. So, that was another thing that we were a little concerned about, but it worked out great. We even had an issue at one point with a couple of the aligners cracking and we called them. We had two batches that cracked. They replaced them within a couple of days and then ended up taking care of a whole new set that met our needs perfectly. My son's teeth are perfect. He did the whole 23 hours a day and knocked it out in three and a half months.

First of all, the majority of their employees in customer service are professional and kind individuals. However, SmileDirectClub is not a good company to be a part of. I had braces back in high school and had my teeth entirely straightened. I just needed one tooth in my bottom front to be straightened back out. (I started with SDC around 28-29 years old.) Two years later, my one tooth still isn't fixed with SmileDirectClub. I had a co-worker of mine and a friend using SmileDirectClub at the same time as me, and one of them was able to see the only orthodontist in our county through SmileDirectClub, yet SmileDirectClub kept lying to me that I was not able to see that orthodontist to truly look at the one tooth that was slightly crooked and still is. Neither one of them are done with the program yet either. It's sad.
Every time you call customer service with an issue or wanting better explanations to anything, they will offer you $100 instead of solving the problem. If you need to extend past the original 3-4 months, they take a couple of months before they give you the new set of aligners, which requires to you to use the final aligner from the previous bunch for 2+ months, even if the plastic eventually breaks.
This is not worth your money. I have super clean, straight teeth, and like I said already have been through braces back in high school. I only go to my dentist twice a year to get them cleaned and never have cavities. I tried going onto SDC's main website tonight and Facebook to share this review, and they don't make it possible, even when you're signed into your SmileDirectClub account. Therefore, the reviews on their website are not entirely honest. They're hiding the non-5-star reviews. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this company. When I called them for some sort of refund, they offered me $25 from the original $1800 that I paid them a couple of years ago. If this company was honest and cared about their customers, it would be a great idea (to have clear aligners versus braces)!

In short, SmileDirectClub is a scam. I have been on an excruciating 2 year journey with this company that left me dissatisfied and with what I now believe is likely permanent jaw pain. My treatment was initially to take 4 months, and 5 touch ups later, they addressed everything except the actual problem, shifting my teeth in ways I didn't want and leaving the 1 thing I asked to be fixed barely touched during most of the treatments. I wrote off the jaw pain in hope it just was a side effect of my teeth shifting but after reading articles about the people they have harmed and the lawsuits they've been involved with, I'm not so sure.
And now they have left me with a parting email telling me that they won't do anything else, despite their "guarantee" but that I should still spend more money getting their retainers to maintain the teeth they didn't really fix. I encourage anyone who is still considering walking into this trap to read the various articles detailing all the damage this company has caused.

They are just trying to get as much cash as possible as they're going down. Avoid this company. I lost my last retainer back in Jul 2022, and I went on the site to place an order, and it says the retainer will be shipped within 4-5 wks. The 5wk mark had gone and I came in to check my order status. It's automatic chat bot and automatic voice customer service kept saying they were working around the clock blah blah to ship my retainers. A couple of wks gone by and I finally got a hold of a human customer service, she told me my order's status was "pending" and she didn't know why. She apologized and placed another order for me and told me she would make a note to expedite it and it should be shipped in 2-3 wks. I thought this time was better, and waited patiently. When I came back to check, the system said my retainers was being bagged and would be shipped soon, but after three wks, the message was still the same!
I got a hold of another human representative, an tele rep from India, and he told me my retainer mold was expired and I got to do the scan again. HOW! A 3D scan is not an apple, how could it be expired!!! So I had been waiting for 4 months for nothing! No message, no email, no nothing, and my teeth were moving back to their original places! Still, I made a schedule to do a 3D scan, and when I got back home. More automatic messages came to my email and they all required me to pay $99/month for treatment! No matter how I replied to the email, I kept receiving automatic answers! Expect automatic answers! They are going down and they don't care about customer satisfaction anymore! After many costly lawsuits, they are trying to cut costs and collect as much cash as possible before they disappear!

My experience with SmileDirectClub was good. I didn't have any problem with the retainers. The only issue that I did have that I was disappointed is my number 13, my dog got a hold of it and chewed it. I've called and asked, and they just kept telling me, “Go to 14.” I wasn't really happy about that. Other than that, everything was good. Also, when I submitted photographs, the one didn't take so I resubmitted it. Nobody ever got back to me so I called, and a gentleman told me that I wasn't supposed to do it to the end, but I never got an email about it or a text message. So, I was a little confused about that. I could only do the top, not the bottom, and nobody really explained to me why not the bottom, what it was, and what it wasn’t. My smile was mostly up on top anyway.
I always smiled, and always had straight teeth. Then of course, when you get to a certain age, they start shifting. Two teeth were overlapping, and I just didn't want to smile anymore, and I wanted them fixed. I didn't want braces. So, I went with the aligners with SmileDirect. I'm probably 95% happy about it. 5% is because my tooth is still a little on the crooked side. I thought maybe wearing the retainer would correct that, so I wore the retainer for six weeks, and then I started just every night. Overall, I'm happy because I'm smiling again. My best experience was going to a satellite and having them do the 3D pictures. If I had to do that on my own through the mail, I would have been so flustered.

I had a huge gap between my front teeth since I was a child. I was always bothered by it and every time I went to the orthodontist traditional ways, it was always so complicated and thinking about years of treatments. So, I pushed away that idea. I spoke with a friend who pay SmileDirect for his daughter and he convinced me that it was easy, simple and not that expensive. I finished my first treatment and then requested an adjustment. So, I'm currently wearing my adjustment aligner and I'll have same aligner till Christmas. I have five weeks to go. My front teeth are almost done.
I have some trouble getting the adjustment. It's a long and complicated process to speak to someone and I'm quite worried for the future. If I've got some kind of correction of one of my teeth because of cavities, it's complicated to go through the whole process to get a new retainer at night. I have to wait for weeks to just get an answer to get an appointment for an adjustment for a retainer. My teeth will move and that process is complicated.

The process went very well. But my whole first batch of aligners was very sharp around the edges and I had to do a lot of cutting and trimming. Also, when I'd have to call customer service, it was a very long wait. But that improved. The results are good so far and my teeth are straight. I highly recommend SmileDirectClub.

The customer service is absolutely terrible! I've been going back and forth for almost two months trying to get an aligner touch up. The aligner's left one side of my top teeth completely untouched so only half of my teeth are straight. I just keep getting give us 1-3 business days for a response and a whole 2 weeks will pass with nothing. I have to keep emailing them every week and a half just to get the same thing back. I understand that they may be busy but it shouldn't take two months and they completely stop responding.

I wore my retainers for 6 months then needed a few adjustments so they added another 3 months of retainers to my smile plan. The additional 3 months of retainers changed my smile a little but still didn't address what I wanted fixed. My teeth were 8/10 perfect. It's been over a year since I've completely my aligners and wear my aligners every night to keep them straight and I wake up with them looking how they did and by the time I go to sleep 2 teeth always move again. This has gradually been getting worse for the past 8 months. I wouldn't recommend. Spend the extra money and go with Invisalign.

One tooth was coming in front of one of my teeth and the other one was going behind on either side of my mouth. I hated to smile because when I smiled, that one tooth was going back. In pictures, it would be dark. I felt like a hillbilly and I didn't like that. Everything went well working with SmileDirect. The only problem that I had was when I finished. I had ordered my retainer and I did not wear it 22 hours a day for three weeks. So my teeth moved. I had to go back in and the reps did a thing. My teeth were going back a little bit. It wasn't terrible, but enough to where I didn't want it to go back any further. So, I'm doing that right now. Everything has been wonderful and everybody's been so nice. I like SmileDirect and I have told other people about it.
SmileDirect wouldn't do my bottom teeth though. They told me they couldn't fix it. I had braces years ago and my dog chewed up my retainer. Back then, when I was a kid, they didn't have retainer cases. So you'd put it on your nightstand and your dog would come and eat it. It happened twice and my mother wouldn't get me another one. So my teeth all shifted back. I’m a real proponent of wanting to wear the nighttime thing. But right now, I'm having to wear it 22 hours a day, which is fine. It's not a big deal. I'm very impressed with SmileDirect. I bartend now and I was behind the bar and friends came in. One friend knew I had gotten the Smile and the other friend did not and she said I had such a beautiful smile. I started crying. Nobody's ever said that to me. That’s how happy I am.

My bottom teeth have been really crooked, the front teeth, for a while. Just not enough space in the mouth. I initially did the mail-in with SmileDirect. I had three touch-ups. I ended up doing two at home and two 3D down in Charlotte. The home kit is more convenient. But the 3D is more accurate. It made great progress. The top teeth weren't really bad. My canines stuck out. The top pretty much straightened out. But the bottom never got all the way. I've got two teeth that are back. The retainers that I wear now at night can be tight. I did it for a year and a half and didn't feel like doing anymore.

I would highly suggest SmileDirectClub. I enjoy the service that they provide. I've done two courses of treatment six months each. They send out a kit that has your impressions. Then they send out the aligners. They do a free alignment so if you’re ever unhappy with it, you just request another kit, and they send out a new one and start you on a new plan. It's been great to work with them. I just chat online and that's super easy that way too.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! I have no idea how this "company" has so many positive reviews, I'm convinced that the majority of them must be fake. After looking online for a company or orthodontist that could help with straightening my relatively mild case of overbite and slightly unaligned teeth, I came across Smile Direct Club. I was already skeptical at first, but I liked the idea of getting custom aligners delivered to my home to fix my dental issue, and their price was very low compared to others (about half the price). It was written on the website that the initial appointment for scanning the teeth and getting more information was completely free, so I figured, why not?
So let me tell you why not.. I get to their office, which is already weird, located in a small suite in a co-working area. There was only 2 very young employees working (I'm young myself and have nothing against it, but it was odd), one at tiny reception cubicle and one in the small scanning cubicle. They seemed disingenuous from the get-go. So as we're about to start the scan, the guy starts explaining what it consists of (Honestly, zero information more than on the website.. You get a bunch of aligners that you're supposed to change every so often, for 4-6 months total, 22 hours a day) and then quickly mentions that we're gonna have to choose a payment option right away as once they send the scans to their "headquarters" and you get approved, they automatically charge you the full treatment cost (or the monthly charges).
I asked politely if it would be possible to first see if I was approved and then think about before actually committing to the treatment, and the guy started getting very frustrated at this simple question. He said that it was company policy, that they have dentists to pay, and that if I don't like it I can leave. I was honestly very surprised at the defensive reaction, but I continued on saying that I was genuinely interested in the treatment, however I would prefer to first know if their aligners can help my dental situation and that I prefer to have time to think over a purchase that costs almost 3000$. I was calm and polite throughout, but the guy was clearly offended and said worst case we can reschedule for another time when I'll be ready. I answered that this "solution" didn't solve any of my concerns, and after an awkward silence, I just left.
I wasted 40 minutes in each direction for this 10 minute "free consultation", and I felt totally scammed. It just smelled of fraudulent activity. Every red flag possible went up for me during this visit. What other company offers you a free estimation or quote or consultation, but secretly forces you to purchase the product if you actually go through with it??! I honestly can't rate their product, as I never received one, but even if it did work, how can they treat their customers as though they are stupid? How can they expect ANY level of trust with a business approach like that? I'm amazed they are still operating.
I would give them 0 stars or even negative stars for the experience. And as a cherry on top, I get a message later the same day, saying that I missed my appointment, and that there is a cancellation fee. The audacity of these people! I was fuming, and after figuring out their confusing text message communication system, I contacted an actual human who said that it was marked as cancelled in their system and not missed, and that I should not get charged. I'm gonna be checking my credit card statements very carefully as I do not believe anything this company says.
Please, for the love of your own self-respect and health, DO NOT purchase the treatment from Smile Direct Club. Go to your dentist or orthodontist and ask for a legitimate treatment that is safe and trustworthy. It's very expensive, I know.. Too expensive in my honest opinion, and I would have gladly paid half the cost. However this is a matter of health and of not getting defrauded by this sketchy company. You have been warned! Take care of yourselves people!

The process is going well so far. But I still have a few adjustments. I'm not 100% satisfied. Setting up the appointment could be improved as it takes a lot of time sometimes. Also, I want them to give a bit more precision when it comes to the aligner.

Just terrible in the customer service department which you will need as lots of things go wrong. I finished the aligners after 6 months and my teeth were still not alighted. I was approved for a touch-up, yet it never materialized. What they don’t tell you is most people need addition aligners and they stop communicating unless you haggle them to death. I was told they were on the way which they weren’t.

It's been over 2 years and still trying to get a receipt to turn into FSA for reimbursement. Get told every time it will be emailed to me within a week. Why does it take over a week to provide a receipt. And every time I call, I get told the same thing. I'm finally fed up and decided to let other know they have the slowest/WORST billing debt EVER! Unless they are taking your money of course. Good Luck getting a receipt back.

I wanted to close the gap in between my front two teeth. I tried SmileDirect and it was easy. It was only four months. I didn't want to have to go into a dentist's office every month. I would just do the little smile thing then stretcher. I send it to the dentist and they let me know if I'm okay or not. It was a great process. I wish I'd done it years ago. When I had a problem with the cleaning machine, I sent a message and had an answer back within 30 minutes. SmileDirect guarantees their product. I had a fabulous experience with them. I had talked to my doctor about Invisalign, and it was twice the cost. It was gonna be $3,600.

The process was great. I went to the Smiledirectclub office the first time and talked with them. They looked at my teeth, did a mold of them and said that it would take six weeks. I received all of my aligners in the mail. I also have their website, and they would tell me when to change the aligners. It was beautiful, and it was easy. It works. In the beginning, I wore the aligners 23 hours a day. I just take them out to eat. I would sleep in them and wear them all day. As a teenager, I had had braces, so I was very familiar with what it would feel like as your teeth are moving. It might have been a little uncomfortable sometimes, just a tight feeling, but it was not a problem. It felt like I was wearing braces again.
I wore the aligners every day, then I would change weekly or bi-weekly. Smiledirectclub would tell me when to change to the next step, and I could see the fix starting to work. Now, I just wear them at night. It only took me four months, and the results are wonderful. I had a very large gap between my front teeth, but now, it's only a small space. It's like most people have just between their teeth. It was very successful, and I feel a bit better about myself. I'm very pleased. In fact, I have recommended Smiledirectclub to people.

I wore the retainers all day. The only time I took them off was when I was drinking coffee and eating. At first, it was different and my tongue kept playing with it a little bit. But I finally got my tongue to stop doing that and I couldn't even tell I had them on. My teeth are so much straighter now. I'm shocked. I'm really amazed that those really worked. Now, I'm wearing the retainers every night because I don't want my teeth going back like they were. The whitener that came with it was great too. My teeth were whiter than they were and it's a big difference too.

I ordered the clear aligners a few months ago, I have followed the process as they indicate and they did not work. My smile was not moving as it should, however, the first time I sent them pictures to check the progress, they said it was fine. The problems started after that, time went by and no one kept on checking my progress, the dentists they are supposed to have did not request any photos of progress. I kept on emailing them and I got no answers. I went to their clinics and then they told me that I had to remove a metal retainer that I had in my teeth. They knew about this because they saw me when I first got my aligners and they saw it in my previous pictures and only after I had been in the process for 5 months they tell me I need to do that.
Now ordering new aligners for a retouch as the previous one was not working, I keep inquiring and my impression kit does not get sent, I talk to customer service, they tell me it is done but then I have been waiting for months and nothing gets sent. Stay away from this company, the dentists will not check your progress and if you need a retouch, they will not send your aligners. You will have to inquire all the time or they simply take your money and ignore you.

I want to begin by saying my overall experience with SmileDirectClub has been disgusting. I am not sure how a company who will completely fraud you of thousands of dollars is still in business??? I have never experienced anything of this magnitude from a company in my life and so it was my duty to expose this fraudulent company to potential customers.
My teeth were in good shape, just a little crooked in the front, but nothing major. So I assume SmileDirectClub would be a good option for me since my teeth didn't need major repair. So I paid for the impression kit back in November 2021, submitted my results and then soon after, charged and approved for a 4-month aligner program. Initial thought, I didn't like how my credit card was charged for the full amount of $1950.00 without me even accepting if I wanted to move forward with the company? But I didn't raise an issue, so I waited to receive my aligners and proceeded with the 4-month program.
By my 3rd month, I noticed my bottom teeth were not adjusting, there was no sign that the aligners were working. So I called customer service until I was able to request a touch-kit for my teeth (at this point I noticed the customer service was not that great, It took several attempts to speak with someone). I was told to wait to the last week to request the kit. I went through that whole process and received another set of aligners that extended my program for two more months. After wearing this set for a month, I knew immediately, the aligners were not doing anything for my bottom teeth, so I called customer service regarding this issue. I was told to wait again towards the end of this set to request a touch-up kit.
This time, I elected to drive to one of the closest locations to take my 3D impressions, since the at-home kits were not effective. I then received another aligner kit for two more months, now totaling 8 months for (4) teeth that were a little crooked... The last set seemed to be working, but I noticed my bottom jaw was painfully locking while I ate, drank, etc. I didn't contact customer service at first, because I thought it would subside. By the second to last week, I ordered two sets of retainers for $199.00 because you are hounded to buy your retainers at this time, so I did foolishly. By the last week of my program, my jaw continuously gotten worse, and by this point, I decided I had enough; the aligners were now causing issues to my jaw. I immediately called to request a refund of my retainers and cancel my program.
This is the moment, SmileDirectClub completely turns into a fraudulent, scam company. Per their guarantee policy, if you are not satisfied with your results, you can have your account reviewed and seek some type of partial refund. Well this never occurred with me. I tried for over a month to have my account reviewed by an Account Manager to cancel and seek partial refund for a product that didn't work and for retainers that were unused and were not going to fit properly anyway. Until this day, no one has contacted me to cancel my account, refund me for anything. I have spent over $2000.00 for a product that didn't work and SmileDirectClub has done nothing to stand by their own policy. Technically I could sue, but It will take more money to resolve. So I would rather trash the company as the scam that it is a forewarn other customers to believe the bad reviews and stay away!!!!

For so long I have bragged about how awesome Smile direct's customer service "WAS"- in terms of how they resolved issues by way of compensating for their errors or mistakes, may it be a package was sent to the wrong address or there was an issue in the process. This review will be a completely different review giving Smile Direct Club a 1 star. I am not sure if the Pandemic caused a decline in customer service, but something has impacted their customer service.
I completed my treatment with Smile Direct in which I was pleased with the results, after 2 extended treatments. Mind you my teeth were not that bad; however, I wanted them to be perfect for the money I paid. So here I am today, I requested my retainer to maintain my smile. I reached out to Smile Direct for assistance. I provided them with my information in which they told me they didn't have an account for me, wait that's strange, when those reoccurring bills were happening, you knew my name, phone number, bank account information and social. So, I updated them with my information once more.
Thinking that the issues was solved, and my retainers were on their way, I received another message that I did not have an account. Wow, mind you, the payment for my aligners were taken from my account giving me the impression that they found my account. I waited 2 weeks, looking for my aligners, NOTHING. I had to reach out to Smile direct on my own behalf, because they surely didn't.
Boom, so they took my information down once more, and told me that a tracking number will be provided upon shipping. Boom, 2nd time. So, something tells me to go check the status of my package. I checked and was livid. The package stated that it was returned due to an inaccurate address. At this point I'm highly upset and disappointed, because now my teeth are taking affect to this inconvenience. And so, the third time I reached out to express my disappointment, but first expressing how I appreciated their customer services in the past. The person on the other side of the email continued to offer me the same solution. At this point, how is that even a solution when it's still creating a problem. I provided a solution that could work for me as a paying customer, which was a request for an urgent shipping.
Smile Direct completely disregarding my solution and still went about it their own way. I am writing this review to WARN others of this inconvenience this has caused me. To PREVENT you from experiencing the same. Because what good is it to have straight teeth that resorts back to their original state due to the LACK OF URGENCY and ATTENTION of aftercare treatment. I HATED to write this review but at this point why not.. It's been a month and a half now, and they just emailed me back stating my wait time is 2-3 weeks, how is that ACCEPTABLE, when your company can easily mark a package urgent.
Smile Direct has become very comfortable and has made enough money and hot enough sales that customer services are NO LONGER their top priority and that is a PROBLEM. Added photos as evidence that I am not just being emotional. Just a copy and paste of an email to all customers instead of actually addressing my personal concern.

I had a pleasant experience with SmileDirect. I wanted my teeth to be straighter. I had a retainer from when I had braces when I was 15. That retainer broke in half, so I needed to at least have that replaced. If I were to go and have that piece replaced, it was going to be 500 bucks. Where if I went to SmileDirect, I'd be paying more money, but I'd be getting more bang for my buck. The process was like hitting the easy button. I just went in, they measured me. They said, "This is how much it'll cost, and this is what we'll do. We'll send you a box." I just followed the instructions. It was super easy. I'm very happy I did that. I recommend them.

The process of wearing the aligners was not too bad. It helped that for a lot of it, I was working from home. The most difficult thing was washing them and eating. If I was at work in the office, it would be a pain to have to go to the bathroom and clean them. I’m happy with the results. It’s so much better than they were. It's worth it.

This company claims to provide free touchups if your teeth aren't straight by the end of treatment. They fail to mention that in order to be eligible you must check in with one of their dentists during the treatment, but they never notify or remind you when it's time despite the fact I logged in to my online portal multiple times per month. There was no option to check in with anyone. So when I needed touch ups, a) they tried to charge me full price, b) it took them 4 months to send the new aligners because they lost the photos I sent them 3x, and c) they promised me a 50% discount off the aligners because of this, they assured me it would be one $99 payment, and yet they still keep charging me $99/month!
I called them and they said they wouldn't charge me again and less than 30 min after we hung up, I received a notification they charged my card another $99. I have wasted so much time on the phone with their customer service for nothing. This company is a waste of time and money and my teeth are actually still super messed up and not any straighter despite following all of their instructions.

The process was a little cumbersome and I wish that I could have gone somewhere and done impressions because the first time, they didn’t come out very well. The process should have taken four months but because I had to have the aligners done again, it took twice as long. Now that I’m finished, I'm using the aligners at night. They don’t fit properly though so I'm gonna have to call SmileDirect again to get a better fit. The results were wonderful. I've already referred people to SmileDirect.

The customer service reps helped me whenever I needed help. They were great. SmileDirect worked out and it was good for me. It sucked as far as paying goes and my retainer didn’t fit twice but other than that, it was fine. I’m happy with the outcome and all I do is just wear that retainer at night. People go with SmileDirect. I didn’t have to go anywhere, which was nice. I just did the process right at my house.

This incompetence of this company is astounding! I sent in my impressions and photos and I heard nothing for several weeks. I got on the chat (don't bother, they don't know their left from their right!) and they said the impressions were never received. I kept getting emails requesting the photos that I had sent in numerous times. I called and they said they did have the impressions but not the photos. I sent them again. Still nothing. I called and they said I needed to complete the survey, which I had done already, but did again. Still nothing.
Five weeks later, I called and was told they would have to set up a case and I would hear in five days. Well, nope, that did not happen. I called, six weeks later, they were confused about the case, about the delay, and at that point I told them to cancel my account. No way was I going to leave my teeth in the hands of such utter incompetence. I then called my credit card company to make very certain they did not try to charge me as my trust level was at zero. So, the moral to this story is STAY AWAY FROM SDC!!!

SmileDirect sent my son to a dentist for impressions. The dentist insisted that financing documents had to be filled out to take the impressions despite us wanting to pay in full by insurance and cash. Smile Direct Insurance department did not apply our insurance to my son's account. Had to call and they discovered they used wrong email address. They did correct that error and billed insurance company BUT in the meantime had sent the balance due to their third party finance company who created another account. We have tried working with the SD insurance department who refuses to correct the account and continues to refer us to customer care. Customer care says they will take care of the problem and do nothing.
I finally asked the insurance department for the email address for customer care as I am building written documentation of our efforts to get this corrected. Insurance department provided an invalid email address. We have been lied to by the customer care department when we reach them by phone. Not only have they not corrected the problem as promised, they also promised to send me written confirmation of their conversation with me and that they would fix the problem. Since everything is paid in full, if a payment is pulled from the stored credit card used to pay the balance net of insurance, we will suffer financially and yet Smile Direct doesn't seem to actually care. I would avoid this company if we ever are in need of aligners again. Not because of the product as we don't know how well that will work yet, but because of the complete lack of customer support being offered, even when they are the entity making the error.

My wife had a back molar out of alignment. She trusted the "Smile Direct" "Guarantee. She contacted them and obtained assurances before payment demanded in advance that the back molar would be aligned. It was a ruse from the start. The alignments did not impact the molar. Repeated communications were with robots and representatives who kept promising results for the molar. New sets of aligners were repeatedly sent that did not impact the molars. Phone calls required hours of wait times and conversations with people who had heavy accents that kept promising the next aligner would solve the problems. We were asked for pictures repeatedly and repeatedly nothing new happened.
The "Smile Direct" "Guarantee" was a ruse as they have not dealt with us and repeated requests for satisfaction and refund has been met with the same circular track of taking pictures and having aligners sent that do not align her molar. We are on fixed income. We are poor. We are retired. So therefore they can take our money and run. Sad.

I have received little to no customer support from SmileDirectClub, despite multiple attempts. Following the policy on their website, I emailed them on 6/2/22 and requested that my account be deleted. I received no response from them, and then on 6/26 I received an email asking me to rate my experience with their support. As I had received no support to rate, I opened another support ticket and referenced my original support ticket number.
On 7/13, I finally received a response that my account would be deleted after 48 hours. I checked after 48 hours, and it was still there. I responded to that support ticket on 7/18 and said that my account had not been deleted yet. It is now 7/28/22. My account has still not been deleted, and I have received no response from them.
Do not create an account with this company unless you are sure that you want to as it is apparently impossible to have it removed. Also be sure you are comfortable with your credit card information being stored in their system. Since I did sign up and order a kit, it stored my credit card information. I have tried to at least delete that, and have not been able to.

I went into the office in Chicago to have my scans done and paid by credit card. Was told I'd have my plan in 72 hrs. Two weeks later, nothing. I had two chat sessions a week apart, and they both said I needed to upload my photos. The photos were taken in their office - I don't have them! I made two phone calls - the first of which they confirmed they uploaded my photos and it would be another 72 hrs until I have my plan. Nothing. Called again. Now I need to sign a consent form (which I already did in person at the office). Meanwhile, they never reached out to me. I had to follow up a total of 4 times, and I still don't have my plan. Cancelled my order. They don't want my business, I guess, and I don't have the patience to keep chasing them down.

Where do I start? I’ve been treated like trash by this company. It’s taken a huge punch to my mental health! I’ve been lied to, my wishes have been disregarded, and the worst part is I’ve been dealing with this company for YEARS simply to fix my teeth!!!! My first set of aligners were supposed to be nighttime aligners, and instead I got all day aligners (waited for 5 months for them). only to find out my case wasn’t even considered for night time and they IGNORED my wishes.
I waited a few more months for the proper ones to be sent to me (after they reviewed my case and said that I am a candidate for nighttime aligners- which should have been done from the start). Wore those for 8 months. Guess what? My teeth haven’t moved at all. I call to ask what to do and ask for someone to call me. No one did and and when I call back they say my case notes claim I “denied a impression kit for the touch up aligners” which was absolutely false. I eventually got my touch up impression kit and sent it away.
Fast forward to today, I’ve had THREE different sets of touch up aligners sent to me and not ONE set fits. My favorite part? I went in person to a store (drove hours to get to) to be scanned as I was tired of being repeatedly sent bad aligners. Guess what? After my in person scan, I was sent an email confirming a 4 month touch up nighttime aligners...but I received a 2 month all day aligners. WHY. HOW. And on top of that, as I expected, the aligners didn’t fit right. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Throughout my experience (YEARS LONG). Apparently I have the 4 month long aligners I was supposed to receive being made and sent to me as I type this.
Throughout my smile direct journey, I’ve asked to be called by a team captain or someone as high up as possible at least 30+ times. ZERO calls. I am sick and tired of being treated like trash. I should be able to speak to one person that is dealing with my case that knows there’s HUGE issues. I shouldn’t have to explain myself every time I call as to why I need to speak to the dental team. I should be able to ask “can you transfer me to so and so” without having to explain my whole story. They always ask “how can I make you smile today?” HOW ABOUT DOING WHAT I PAID FOR AND SENDING ME THE RIGHT ALIGNERS THAT FIT IN MY MOUTH AND FIX MY TEETH!
If this aligner set that is being made doesn’t fit, I am going to have to get an attorney involved. When someone spends thousands to get their teeth fixed, they shouldn’t be treated like dog poop. Don’t deal with this company, it’s the worst company I have ever dealt with. There are some nice and helpful people working for SmileDirect, but the rotten eggs, the inability to return phone calls, and the constant lies consumes the good. I deserve to have my money back and be paid for emotional damages. I said it before and I’ll say it again, I have never been so mistreated in my life. I was once told by customer service “the founder of smile direct would be severely disappointed hearing my story and how badly you’ve been mistreated”. DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

My bottom teeth were a little bit crooked then two of the top ones were a tiny bit crooked. I'm older so my teeth tend to go in a bit. SmileDirect had a little pop-up thing where they went to a hotel and did impressions of the mouth.
When I first was thinking about doing it, even when I went down there and signed up for it, I was thinking, "I don't know if this is gonna work." But it did. It only took four months and my teeth are perfect now. I love them. There wasn't any inconvenience nor pain. I just took the aligners out when I ate, put them in my little case, brushed my teeth, and put them back in. It was super easy and the price was much better than Invisalign that you go to the dentist for. I have recommended SmileDirect to many people.

I got a braces consultation and it was going to be $7,000 but I only paid 2,200 with SmileDirect. So, it was a no brainer for me. At first, they send you the mold and there’s a little pamphlet, which you follow. It’s self-explanatory. Then, you submit your pictures through the app and SmileDirect approves you. When they send your aligners, it’s in this big purple box and it’s got a Chapstick, whiteners and two little tabs to clean the aligners. You have to submit pictures periodically. So, it provides a smile stretcher as well.
I had crooked teeth my entire life and I called them my shark teeth because they were also pointy. I wanted straighter teeth and I tried to do it before I graduated high school but I didn't end up following through. I wish I did because I saw results within three months. When my teeth started to shift. It was a quick process but at some point, it was painful. I bought tubes and tubes of numbing stuff. So SmileDirect could have included that. I’m done with the process and I love my smile. It's just me being crazy about it being tedious. But from where I started, I have perfectly straight teeth. The app is easy to follow and it’s perfect. I recommend it all the time. I love SmileDirect.

SmileDirectClub had to redo the mouth guard forms twice. I might not have been wearing them for enough hours during the day. So, I'm still wearing the last guard because some of the teeth are not quite turning correctly. They were always very helpful to try to fix what I wanted. Communication was great. I liked SmileDirect's price and its convenience. As far as the material, 12 of those 16 sets were cutting up my mouth and my tongue. So, there were times that I couldn't wear them. The trays themselves should be cut more precisely to fit around the people's mouths. They were sharp, so filing that sharp edge a little bit flatter helped. I had to call the company and they said to move on to the next set and wear those for three weeks instead of one week. With the overall outcome, my teeth are straight, but the five-month process was pretty miserable.

The process started in November of last year and it was super simple. I just went to the office, and SmileDirectClub introduced me to how the process would be. They scanned my teeth, took a payment and I liked that it didn't need any more information other than my credit card and that they would be sending out the kit in a month. After that, I got the kit in the mail and started the process myself. It felt very intuitive and super straightforward, so I never had any trouble.
One problem I've had before was one of the aligners had been a bit sharper. But I talked to them through the "chat with us" option and they told me about this clay thing that you can put over and that would be okay. That really helped. I finished my treatment a month ago, and I'm very happy with it, and I have recommended it to a number of people, mostly to anyone that seemed interested. My sister has this fear of doctors, and I told her that there's no doctor that you're in contact with other than the one that emails you every couple of months. She took up SmileDirectClub, and she's waiting for her kit. She also liked that they offer a one month trial, so if she doesn't like it, she can just return it and have all her money back.

It moves our hearts to hear this. We advocate for all of our current and future grinners so that they can share their smiles with the world.

I ordered my daughter a kit back in March. We sent everything into them and have still not received her retainers! I receive calls from their company here or there but they never leave a message and when you do call back the wait time is awful. Forget trying to email them too! I have sent about five emails and have not had one customer service representative get back to me. Absolutely awful customer service!

I'm finished with SmileDirect’s program and I couldn’t ask for more. Their payment method was flexible and affordable though I’m having issues with the people who financed the payment. My account is showing that I made my payment 107% and they still scheduled me for more payment. I’m not sure if they’re linked directly to SmileDirect but they’re trying to scam people.

The main concern that I had was there was a gap in my upper teeth. I'm not happy with it because since I first started, “Four months. We'll get to it. It’ll be done.” I saw the testimonials. Some people said they were done in six months. Mine was supposed to be four months. But it has been a year and a half, and I’m still not happy with everything. I was supposed to be done with my treatment, but they sent me my retainers. Three weeks after, for some reason, one of the retainers on the upper right was loose. I could take out the tray with my tongue. Every time I call SmileDirectClub, it’s all, “Let me check your account.” And it takes 15 minutes for every person. It’s always double checking the account. I like that everything is quick when it’s there. But to get to that next process, it’s, “Come one, man.” It takes too long.

I like not having to go to the dentist or into a physical office, because that just takes up a lot of time. It was easy. And I like the retainer, because I can wear it without it being not noticeable. The results are good. My teeth are straight. If you just want some straight teeth and you don’t want to wear braces, and you want it to be a good price and just want to wear your retainer, SmileDirectClub is great.

My experience with SmileDirect has been mostly good. I didn't have any problems this time around but during the pandemic, in 2020, there were some times when I needed some things that didn't happen that fast but I could understand why. I asked for new retainers and it took a long time, and my teeth grew far apart. But I finished the process with SmileDirect. Then, I redid it. The timeframe was fine. It's just my own teeth are annoying because they want to keep going back to what they were. There are still some gaps in the sides of my teeth that I'm not thrilled with but I might just be being super critical of myself. Because my husband and other people say it looks good. I would highly recommend SmileDirect because it has good results for the cost of it.

I lost 40 pounds in the process with SmileDirect. You're supposed to wear the aligners 22 hours out of the day, so I got an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. That's not much and what you need to do is eat something decent and it worked out great. You just get into a pattern. For example, one day, I went three hours. The next, I would try to make up for it so I could make the 22 hours. Sometimes I’m at a family dinner so I leave the aligners down until I eat. I go to the restroom, pop them out and have dinner with family, and when I’m done, I go back, brush my teeth and put the aligners back in.
You have to stay on top and keep the aligners clean. I got one of SmileDirect’s little ultrasonic cleaners and I do that and use the toothbrush so that was able to make it work good. You just have to have an attitude that you want to do this and once you overcome that, you get into a routine. I've been on the retainer for some weeks and that's new, because I only put it on to go to sleep.
My teeth were a little messed up but it straightened out. My bottom ones are nice and with the front ones, I had a tooth on each side that were small and SmileDirect moved it as much as they could so it worked out fine. I probably could have gone for another series. They could probably move and more but I'm happy with the results I got. I’d recommend SmileDirect to a friend but I’d tell them what goes on because I knew a little about it when I got the aligners. But they worked with me well. I had a bridge break when I was starting this and they worked with me till I got a new one. It was only a few weeks and I broke them so they had to resend me some new ones. That took care of it. I had it replaced but with a newer technology, so they adjusted the aligner so everything worked and you get the trick putting them in the correct way.

My front teeth had slowly gotten to where they bowed in right in the middle and it started showing up in pictures. I thought, "We'll do something about that." Doing it at night was very important to me, and SmileDirectClub was the only one that I noticed that said I could just do it at night. My son in Connecticut also used it and it worked very well for him. I went into an office in Plano, Dallas, and I'm on the fourth set right now. I have 20 to go, but the process is working for me. The issue with my teeth is still there and it's gonna take a while to get it out, but I just started.
The text communication works great for me, and their website's nice because I can always go in. I enjoyed seeing what my final smile would look like, and I enjoy going in there. It helps me know where I am and when I have to change. I usually wear my set at least 10 hours, but last week, we were at a funeral and we were with family. I missed an hour twice in a row because we were doing a bunch of stuff. I was like, "Oh no," then my son said, "I wasn't perfect." I thought, "If he's saying that, then I'm fine." Also, I can't whiten my teeth because I have a couple of bonded teeth, but it's nice to know that I could.

I have been very dissatisfied with Smile direct. I have had numerous problems with them in past. In which they finally said they made a mistake. Yesterday I ordered some aligners because I lost mine. They said it would take 3-4 weeks to get new ones. I told them I could feel my teeth slipping and that I needed them sooner and that my teeth would no longer fit in the ones they shipped if it took 3-4 weeks. They would not budge. I asked to speak with a manager and they said the manager would call in 24-48 hours. LOL What a joke! I would never recommend them.

After being plagued with customer service issues with the Smile Direct corporate office they finally agreed to do a scan on May 17 so I immediately drove almost two hours to King of Prussia PA from the Scranton area! I paid all that gas and all those tolls, spent all that time and did the scan. Then turned around and drove all the way home. The King of Prussia office never "uploaded the scan"! Now it is lost somewhere and I am being told that I have to do it again!! Watch this office closely! They are not competent and can't be trusted! Smile Direct overall has been a waste of time and awful to work with...it's just terrible.

I have some mild to moderate crowding in my lower front teeth from age, but my top teeth are already straight and perfect... I was NOT told that they couldn't even FIX mild to moderate crowding. I thought that was the point of invisible aligners? A few days after wasting my time getting my scan, I'm told they can't fix my bottom teeth but they can't wait to send me my top aligners. I didn't even want or need top aligners! But they couldn't wait to try to take my money for that. After reading all these reviews I'm SO happy that it didn't work out. This company is awful and isn't honest.

I did the whole program with SmileDirectClub and then, COVID happened, and I didn't get any retainer for a while. Now, I have the program again. There should be a check-in such as if you used to see a regular orthodontist. But other than that, everything is fine.

The dentist kept calling me about my daughter's teeth needing braces and they said they were gonna have to pull two teeth out to make it work. That's what scared me the most, so I went to SmileDirectClub. It was the price, and they could also work with her. No teeth needed to be pulled. The process was phenomenal, and it was so easy for my daughter to do. It took five months and her teeth are straight. They're perfect. I've been recommending SmileDirectClub for other people. You just can't beat the ease of it and the price.

Once I found the phone number ('cause everybody wants to use an app for every single thing) and I was to get ahold of somebody from SmileDirectClub, it was great customer service. However, they could provide an educational process of what's going to happen. I can get a booklet and flip through it, but I'm not gonna intensively take it. To watch some video recording about something, I may or may not do that as well. They could say, "Hey, this is what you're gonna get and what's gonna happen. And these are some of the things you might run into. These are the things to be aware of. This is how you know if you need help or if you're succeeding at what we want you to have." It would help to have some milestones or some ways to track one's progress without just, "Hey, my tray isn't fitting right." "Come in and we'll scan again," then a month later, it's not working and one keeps doing it.
The program was supposed to be six months, then it kept tweaking over the process. I had to get a couple of different aligners because they would warp. The process extended for longer than what I thought. I've been using the product for close to two years, and I love the progress that SmileDirectClub made in that time period. I also feel pretty good about my smile right now. There are moments where I wish I could get a bit more tweaking on it, but for what I paid for, I'm satisfied at this moment. I might go back in, but right now, I'm just using the retainer like I need to.

I was looking on ways to straighten my teeth without using actual braces. I saw Invisalign ad and also a SmileDirect ad. But SmileDirect was cheaper, so I went with them. For the process, all I did was get online, and told them what I wanted. They reviewed it and said that I was qualified for it. I did it all at home. They sent me impressions. I did those and sent them back. Within a couple of weeks, I had all my aligners and went through the process. After I was done, ordered my retainers and did good. I was pretty impressed on how it was gonna work out because I've never done anything like that before. But it did really good.

I have used their teeth aligners per their instructions and after 80% of the treatment I am at the very same place. I have endured severe headaches and my mouth is very sensitive but there has been no noticeable results. I have reached out to them to no avail. They do not rerun my messages. I feel scammed! They make me feel like an idiot. Do not waste your money, you’ll be sorry like I am!

I initially had a good experience. Upon completion of my initial treatment plan I requested a touch up due to not having the results equally the requested final teeth alignment. They require you maintain monthly check-ins and follow up, which I did. They sent me out a new impression kit, which I completed and returned. I never received any correspondence so approx. 3 months later I contacted them. They saw my returned kit in my file and stated there was an outstanding balance which I had paid in full at the beginning of my treatment. They told me they would look into it and that I should not be charged due to their free touch up policy. I never received a call back. I followed up approximately 4 months after that with no resolution. I recently followed up to address the issue and request my file be reviewed.
The first thing is, they have no supervisor you can speak with or the “dental team” that they reference being in charge of the account. They are stating that I will have to pay $100 a month for 3 months to receive my touch up (with is really a continuation of the results not matching my initial evaluation and request for my teeth placement). I am incredibly dissatisfied with this service.

SmileDirectClub's product is good. I paid in full because they told me they took my insurance, and they already had it approved. It took four months to get the approval, even though they had it. I knew they did because I kept checking. And it took them another three weeks to put the money toward my credit card after they had it. So, that was very disconcerting. They also didn't notify me every two weeks by text message that it was time to change my braces. Dealing with the customer service was terrible. It took me umpteen number of tries to get all this stuff taken care of. I also learned that you’re better off doing monthly because they react sooner when you still owed them money instead of paying in full.

I purchased from SmileDirectClub. Their guarantee says your corrected smile is guaranteed for life. I wore the aligners for 22 hours a day as directed. They helped but I still need work. Smile Direct Club promised what they call touchup aligners. Unfortunately, it took so long to get these, that my teeth shifted back to the same place they were before I started. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with them. I have been to an in-person check up and when all is said and done, they said I had to pay $99 a month to get the correction I needed.
I sent them a copy of their guarantee. They said they would not honor the guarantee because I had not ordered a retainer. I produced the receipt for the retainer, which I still have not received. They said the best they could do is give me a one-month credit. In short, their lifetime smile guarantee is a lie. I am a lawyer and I am going to file a suit against them now to enforce the guarantee. Please note that if you call them for customer service you can not get any real help. So don't waste your time.

My daughter used SmileDirectClub for herself and then I got it for myself for an overbite. I probably am almost halfway through and it’s been good. I'm very happy with it. My daughter is not as happy though because she did it a while ago. She says her one front tooth keeps shifting. But she's in the process now. SmileDirectClub is sending her now a second set of this permanent retainer. Since it’s lifetime, they're making good on what they said so no complaints to date.
In the beginning, SmileDirectClub was hard to communicate with. I had to keep asking about how to make a payment and what to expect next. Then I felt like it took a long time between the payment and the retainer box being delivered. They told me it would be next day or within 48 hours, and it probably took four days. So I was starting to get nervous. They should be their sharpest at the start. You gain people's trust by your first impression and that should have been better. But I was able to do everything from home and I enjoyed that. I did not have to go sit in a dentist's office or an orthodontist office and wait, and do this and do that.

I thought this was going to be a legit set up. But instead it was in the back corner of a Holiday Inn. Not very impressive. No one was managing the registration table. The girl I talked to once back in the “examination” was so sweet. I did feel like it was a sales pitch. I wasn’t ready to sign on the line today. I wanted a consult. I’d rather drive to Tampa next time and go to a real office.

I'm very happy with SmileDirectClub and I recommend them to everybody. I love how, finally, my teeth are straight. I pop my aligners in and they are simple to deal with every single week. I was noticing right away how straight they were becoming in such a short period, and now I'm on the retainers end of it so I'm wearing those 22 hours a day. It fixed my bite. Towards the end of my six months, I needed two more extra months. My last set caused me another gap, which I never had. I called customer service and they were awesome. They sent me to Monarch Dental. They picked me up and gave me a bag a whitening kit. I asked the doctor, too, what the next thing was. He always kept me informed on what the next aligner was. I also love that it popped up on my phone and it was so easy.

I sent my impression kit to SDC over three months ago and I have not received anything yet! I keep getting emails saying ‘we received your kit’ and ‘your new smiles is on the way’ but I’ve received no actual updates about when to expect my aligners to arrive. This has taken way too long and I’ve heard nothing about my order.

Making the 3D appointment was very easy. I did it online and they set me up an appointment. It didn't even take five minutes. I went and put it in. It didn't take that long for them to do my mouth and all that other stuff. I paid a lump sum of 2,000 and then it's 89 a month. It was relatively easy. My bottom four teeth that are in the middle of the fangs were jacked up and I've seen the result literally after my second aligner. I've seen two teeth already shifted back to where they were supposed to be.
The lady in Orland at the SmileDirect place was great. I actually missed my appointment time but she told me not to leave. She told me that they give a 15-minute grace period. But I was over my 15-minute grace period. She said that they had another appointment and she added, "You can wait. And if that person doesn't come within that window, then we’ll take you." I live in Indiana and I didn’t want to drive all the way back home. So they still took me and everybody was nice and friendly. It was clean. There were no smells.
