Great app, very intuitive and easy to use. HOWEVER, when they charge you, it might get flagged for fraud. That's what happened to me. Then I paid them and now they erased my profile and will not help me to regain my login. I have gone through their app for support, and called and each time they "escalate" my issue to the next level of support and then nothing. I got two emails after 4 days of back and forth with them and one said that the issue was resolved (which it was not) and another that acknowledged the issue and asked me to reply to the email and they would get back to me in 4 hours, it's been over that now and I have nothing. I am going to try to get a refund from the Apple Store and warn as many people as possible to beware that Noom is a great app, but pray to all that is holy that you don't have to ever talk to their tech support as they will leave you hanging.

I’ve used Noom in the past. I have been 60-70 pound overweight for a while. I have a healthy diet and active lifestyle. Even working out six days a week I was 40 pounds overweight. I tried Noom and, as with all other approaches I’ve tried, including acupuncture, I lost 8 pounds. As I’ve gotten older, I have had more problems with arthritis joint stiffness and pain. When I leaned about GLP-1s I talked with my doctor and we agreed I should try Wegovy. I had early success with Wegovy, was stagnant when I reached the 1.0 dose and then had success again at 1.7, ultimately losing 19 pounds. The. My insurance changed Wegovy coverage and even with the $225 coupon my co-pay went from $24.99 to $419 a month. Yep.

I decided to try Noom Med because it was advertised at $299 a month. I completed all the questions, including ones indicating I was taking Wegovy. I asked if the Noom GLP-1 dosing was the same as Wegovy and was told yes. I paid the $149 trial period, joined the app, and received the meds. 1) My Noom doctor told me I was approved for 1.0. I was confused because I was already at 1.7 with Wegovy. 2) The Noom dosing chart did not have a 1.0 option so I asked my Care Coordinator what to do. The CC said I was eligible for 1.2. This was confusing.

    3) The medicine comes in vial. It says Qty 2 on it. I thought two doses. I also thought this was a bit dangerous because an under could just use the entire vial at once. Wegovy comes in pre-filled pens (that I hate). I’ve taken other medicines that were self measure and self-inject but never even considered the abuse possibility.

    4) After two doses of Noom GLP and three weeks, I’ve gained 3.5 pounds. My sugar cravings are creeping back. I had no side effects or other issues. I just think the dose is too low to do me any good. 5) I asked about the Qty 2 on the vial because I was expecting another shipment of two more doses. I was told that was an error and it should say Qty 1. Well, that makes no sense. 6) I searched all over the Noom app for a medication report and reminder option. Asked help about it. Got a run around. Gave up. The next day I got a text alert that I could record my meds 🤷🏻‍♀️.

In sum: I find the advertising disingenuous because it says you can transition from other GLPs but you can’t really. I find the MD/Care Coordinator misalignment very worrisome. 3) I find the quality control and confusion around that alarming. 4) of course I find the weight gain frustrating and I feel like I wasted money and time. 5) if you don’t understand nutrition or the protein/muscle loss issues with rapid weight loss, I think the Noom app or other tracker would be extremely helpful. And exercise apps, including what Noom offers are also very helpful. I already use iFIT so didn’t use that function.

I canceled Noom yesterday and rearranged my finances to starts Wegovy again. I might consider Noom Med as a maintenance once I get to my desired weight but only if the quality control issues are fixed (because how can you trust that the medicine inside the vial was done correctly if they can’t even figure out what to put on the label). If this is important - I am a behavioral scientist and have studied the theory behind Noom. I think it’s valuable for people who really feel they need guidance. The Med part I would leave to your actual primary care physician if the price mark works for you.

I wasted nearly $450 on Noom. I was under the assumption that an injectable dose accompanied this product. All I got for my money was a social media gossip site. The photos are another joke. Too many of the pics showed beautiful women who did not appear to need a weight loss program, and I wondered if it was an adult dating service in disguise. Save your money.

Now I know why you have to PAY for the trial period - most people probably don't stick with this program. I was looking for something that could give me support and community in my weight loss. Noom doesn't do this. Their food tracker is grossly off in nutritional info (nonfat Greek yogurt, 3/4 cup has 100 calories, not 139, etc). The color system is also grossly wrong - Kung Pao chicken is NOT a GREEN FOOD! If anything a yellow, but I'd put it as an orange. Their barcode scanner doesn't work as well. The articles are very basic and blah - not a lot of detail. The messaging is a chatbot, wouldn't trust it. There is no community page to connect with other users. You are better off doing the free version of MFP - you would have a more accurate food database, community and good, informative articles.

I purchased the Noom program today around 1 pm, and I am so frustrated. The App is full of glitches, and the support is not very good. I am already considering canceling my subscription, which while advertised as half off the annual rate, actually is $184.00 for only 7 months. Noom also automatically charges your credit card at the end of the subscription if you do not cancel. I had extreme difficulty getting my Android App to work and have experienced a great deal of difficulty getting help.

After setting up my profile and setting my password, the App indicated that the password that I just set up was incorrect. After finally getting voice support, I had to delete the app and reinstall it. The Rep, sent me a link visa email to change which I did entering the same original l password. When I tried to login after the password reset I got I am also annoyed that you have to listen to a pep talk each day before you can begin using the app. It is now 6:35 pm, and I have other plans and cannot enter my food intake for the day. I think this program requires a time commitment which will be 5 to 8 minutes per day, which is going to be difficult for me. It is also too expensive.

I am having a very bad experience with Noom Customer Service. A lot of the reps have accents that are hard to understand. A lot of the reps are very dumb. And it is very difficult to get a hold of a supervisor. I have waited to chat online with a customer service rep an hour before hanging up when no one came on the line. They say the reps are available 24/7 to chat, but even trying to get through at off hours you can't get through to an agent. There are also a lot of problems with the App. It is a challenge using a promo code and renewing a subscription. I do believe some of the behavior change coaches are pretty good, but you have to deal with the problems with customer service and at times problems with the App.

I am being charged over $100 monthly for programs that I did not intend to subscribe to (plus an initial $30). I am very familiar with digital subscriptions and a tech savvy person, so I was horrified to see the charges. I would have not entered into the Noom arrangement had the charges been clear. Sneaky Noom kept the add-on program active despite the fact that I had already clicked "cancel" on it. Lo and behold, they said "this situation doesn't qualify for a refund." Of course it doesn't. I was certain I had cancelled (there were multiple screens trying to get you to not cancel that you have to click through to cancel promising all kinds of deals to keep you - it’s so many screens!!). I originally cancelled because it was like having a second job, logging all kinds of information and reading assignments, it was way too much for me. I was not happy with the service.

A year later I’m suddenly charged for an auto-subscription, $126, and it was an act of God to get it refunded. I was told I had not canceled, and was not eligible for a refund by support multiple times. The refund policy states eligibility grace period is 14 days. I reached out immediately once I noticed the charge and was well within the 14 days. I fought with online chat support for two days! That was like a second job too! You have to really be determined to get your account closed! I had to screenshot the refund policy for the “support” team. I would not recommend this service.

I have used Noom for 5 months. I have lost 6 lbs total. Initially when I signed up for the program it showed me that I will lose 10 lbs in 2 months, but that obviously didn't happen. I followed all the suggestions from Noom, daily weigh-ins, caloric deficit, correct portions, etc. Especially during the first 2-3 months I followed the program religiously, but the 10 lbs weight loss in two months did not happen. I think I saw some progress in my weight loss only when I added intermittent fasting. In my opinion Noom will only help you if you have a lot of weight to lose such as 20 lbs or more and you are just starting your weight loss journey, because Noom will explain basic things such as correct portions, caloric deficit, healthy foods, cravings etc. All this information is also easily available online, you don't need to purchase Noom for this information. But if you are just starting your weight loss journey Noom will probably steer you in the right direction and give you the basics.

However, if you are like me who wanted to lose that "last stubborn 8-10 lbs", then Noom is not the right tool. Also I found the daily weigh-ins quite discouraging and even toxic. Also for some reason Noom does not explain how women's body weight fluctuates during the menstrual cycle, that the cycle affects women's weight and women will see drastic weight increases and decreases during the month that have nothing to do with how much they eat and how many calories intake. Not a single lesson in Noom focused on this and explained this. So if Noom wants us to weigh in every day, then I think Noom needs to explain that you can weigh 3-5 lbs more than yesterday only because you are ovulating or starting your period and not because of your diet.

The sign-up day was busy, so ‘twas the evening when I could look at the program and email. Emails. My inbox was bursting with emails from Noom. One required that retake the initial quiz. Another, “hit the link” for add-on program. Download the app with smartphone for this QR code. And that some parts of the program will only work on a computer hurt my trusty “iPad with magic keyboard” feelings, and sounded like that would not be enough for a particular link-hitting. My goal was to just get to visit the actual program, but the jungle of emails and instructions and useless and redundant messages via email made my hair hurt. I needed to get out of this quagmire.

Cancel. Cancel. I tried, via “chat,” and after awhile, thought it was a done deal. Did I get twenty emails from Noom yesterday? Yes. First, the annoying emails were adding up, and then the cancellation emails from a customer service team bombarded my inbox. Clearly, the team of last night decided to teach me a lesson. Annoying, I kept telling them. This is annoying. Oh! I finally got it. I was being trolled! The last was a late evening email received from “Leon.” My response, “Well-played, Leon. The have used Noom for almost 3 months. I like the lessons, as a mental health professional they all make sense. I do not like the daily weigh in requirement (and do not do that) and this not recommend by doctors and dietitians. The scale can be very trigger for some so this not a requirement everyone can follow. I also find the logging of food tedious. I had to add many ingredients and when you do, it does not assign it into one of their color categories.

When making a homemade meal, you have to put in everything. You can save it, it you make it again but you have to estimate what a portion size is. Noom is very negative about processed food which yes they are bad. They come in a box with all the needed information so they are easy to add into the program which is kind of against what they teach.

I will not be renewing with noom because I have not seen a weight loss different that can be considered worth it (2-3 pounds). Even though they have "coaches" it is all electronic so if you are expecting personalized contact, that is not what is offered. I was also mislead and I was signed up for a premium service which was billed later than my initial billing. I did not learn about this until I received my credit card statement. I called and was told I would receive a refund which did not happen. I then called again and was told no I cannot get a refund but only a cancellation. So make sure you are really careful with what you know you are signing up for. In my opinion, if a service does not have enough confidence in their program that they will not give a refund when asked within the month of the charge, then I have to question the service that is being provided. There is nothing in this program that you cannot do without it.

I was initially happy with Noom. I lost weight at first and then it stopped working. All notifications are through the Noom App and texts. After being auto renewed after the first paid year (2022,) I was not happy and used the app to cancel my subscription. I thought. I was under the impression that I had cancelled and would be reminded to renew later before it ran out. Since I was auto-renewed, I tried using the app during the second year and gained back more than half of the original weight lost.

When I was billed again this year (third billing, with considerably more anger) it clearly said your have a year left, let us remind you later to cancel. So that is probably what happened the first time. I never got a reminder through the app or text (that is how Noom communicates.) I found after the fact, an email reminder. Their subscription policy clearly states no refunds on renewals. I would claim that their renewal process is intentionally deceptive and relies on the fact that all relevant info from Noom is through the app or text, except for billing, and that most people's inboxes are swamped. Having a 30 day cancel on the renewal would show less malicious intent. If you do chose Noom, make sure you cancel your subscription before it renews. They are counting on you forgetting. And they state: THERE IS NO REFUND OF AUTO-RENEWED SUBSCRIPTIONS.

I thought I specifically signed up a 6 month trial, no renewals. I was reviewing my credit card charges and noticed a renewal charge after the 14 cancellation period. I requested an exception since I was just laid off from my job. They would not make an exception, even though they can clearly see that I have not logged into the app. While this a beneficial app, I will not use it again.

Same story you will see in multiple reviews below. I never received the notification for the auto-renewal and was automatically renewed for another five months. I tried to cancel that very day when they charged my credit card and they wouldn't do it. So now I'm stuck paying for FIVE MONTHS of a service I don't want. I understand if they would charge me for a month. That would be fine. But getting screwed out of $170 makes me a sad panda.

Looking through other negative reviews, I can see that I am not the only one who has run into this issue with renewal billing. I signed up for a full year with my initial subscription to save money. I missed the notification for the autorenewal in my inbox and was renewed for another full year, which was a significant amount of money. I reached out to customer support less than two weeks later to cancel, and the response I received was, "It's too late, we can't refund you. It is against our policy" company line. They would not agree to pro-rate the renewal either. Although they offered a credit for other services, why would I want to set someone else up for a similar negative surprise from this company? Although the Noom program itself was helpful in some ways, I wouldn't recommend it due to this negative experience. I got what I needed from it, and do not need or want the additional year of services.

During signup after they had my payment info, there were multiple additional package offers that you had to skip or buy. It was very expensive as each one was a separate charge. I skipped all of them. It was extremely frustrating. I realized they were just trying to get more money. I then get an email thanking me for adding 2 packages! When I talked with an agent in chat she was very helpful and blamed me and said I had to do it. I know I didn’t! And then she said I had cancelled the trial also. I didn’t do that either. She said there was nothing she could do because that was all the info she had (that I had done both!). I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor and she refused!

During the first part of the trial you had to answer more questions in the app. Each area you would eat a “coin” for sharing what you learned. They encouraged you to share your journey with someone to help your progress and make you accountable. Well this was also a way to get more people to sign up! Everything you shared was an advertisement to the person you shared it with. To say, "Look what she did with Noom!" And then give them a price if they signed up! Deceitful practices to get more money than they say it will cost!!!

Thanks to quick response from Consumer Affairs Noom was contacted and I received an email from Noom quickly. After describing experience of no access to start trial I paid for she resolved the issue and I was able to begin trial.

Signed up yesterday, opened app this am to start. All I'm getting is various offers to up my membership with no way to get into app unless if I would agree to one. I'm assuming I'd be in general app. I've already paid for trial. I have no way to resolve this since attempted to bring up app fresh from internet but they make you go thru long laborious questions to get you to sign up and pay again. So I don't even have a way of canceling my membership which I definitely want to do. Nervous, a place like this has access to my bank card. They automatically start charging you for full plan monthly if not canceled. No idea where to turn now. One thing I'll be reporting to BBB but little solace now. I don't have the money for this, recovering from recent bank scam. My money is gone, trying to repair credit.

Very negative experience. Before you even start the diet plan, I was hit with dozens of emails and pop-ups in rapid-fire, about upgrading my plan with add-ons which aren't explained. You have to check them off as NO, or guess what? You are automatically billed and there's no refunds. This is very hard-sell for upgrades which are poorly explained. Then there's the timing of the billings - some are weekly, some are monthly, some three-month, and several are 10-month duration. Very confusing.

I ended up cancelling the program, and the unwanted/unapproved add-on - for what I have no idea. THIS IS A MARKETING SCAM. I ended up disputing all the charges through my credit card, and contacting the local TV station's consumer advocate for scams. If you can spend $2k a month for all their add-ons (so it seems, although they'll probably add several more once you're on the hook) good luck, because I never got to the diet plan- I never got past the hard-sell emails and pop-ups. Whatever your Noomcoin is, if this is a crypto scheme....yikes.

I was using Noom and decided it wasn't for me. When I decided to cancel my subscription, I followed all of the automated prompts and yet my subscription was not canceled. I had more than 10 email messages back and forth with the automated system and was told my cancellation was completed. Well, today I was charged again. I had to call the 800 customer service, wait on hold, and then was finally able to get confirmation that my account is actually canceled and I will receive a refund. However, I have to wait 2-5 days. Although Noom may be a lovely program (again, just not for me), I give their billing/cancellation/automated customer service a 1-star. Beware when signing up!

I signed up for Noom med thinking I may have a better experience than with regular noom, which is useless and sets calorie limits that are dangerous. I never received lab order that I was told I had to have before speaking to a clinician. I attempted to cancel and was unable to find any way to do so. After several error messages and useless attempts at contacting support via chat, I called customer service and was told that noom med can only be contacted via email and that the agent was unable to help me in any way. If you want to get ripped off, this is the program for you. You're better off speaking to an actual Dr.
