How does MEDVi work?

To get weight loss drugs from MEDVi, you must sign up for a monthly membership:

  • Step 1: Complete an online evaluation that includes your health history, weight loss goals and contact information.
  • Step 2: Choose your medication and enter payment details. Prescriptions can be delivered to your home within 24 hours of approval, or you can request a telehealth appointment to speak with a provider first. Appointments are typically scheduled within two to three days, though same-day consultations may be available.
  • Step 3: After you check out, a board-certified physician will review and approve your prescription. You’ll receive shipping and tracking info within two business days, and receive your prescription within eight to nine days.

With your membership, you get 24/7 messaging support and unlimited access to MEDVi’s patient care team for questions about your progress, side effects or dosage. At the end of each month, you’ll need to fill out a refill form and pay the next month’s membership fee to continue getting your medication. You can cancel your membership at any time, but you can’t receive refunds on prescription products.

MEDVi weight loss medications

MEDVi prescribes glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists (GLP-1s) and dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists, available as injections or once-daily tablets. These medications mimic the effects of GLP-1, a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation, helping slow digestion and increase feelings of fullness. The company primarily prescribes compounded GLP-1s, but some branded drugs are available.

Weight loss medications available:

  • Compounded semaglutide, injection or tablet
  • Compounded tirzepatide, injection or tablet
  • Wegovy, injection or tablet
  • Zepbound, injection only

Compounded medications are made with the same active ingredient as branded drugs, but they are not Food and Drug Administration-approved. MEDVi sources its compounded GLP-1 drugs from Belmar Pharma Solutions.

Still have questions?

Is MEDVi legit?

Yes, MEDVi is a legitimate company. MEDVi is LegitScript certified, meaning it’s regularly monitored, meets transparency standards and complies with all applicable state and federal laws. It also stands behind its products and services with a money-back guarantee.

“What really stood out to me was how much they actually cared about safety and medical responsibility,” Salvatore shared in a ConsumerAffairs review. “When I originally asked for a dosage increase, they did NOT automatically give me what I wanted just because I was paying for the service. In fact, because I had already lost a significant amount of weight and my BMI had dropped considerably, they refused to increase my dosage and instead lowered me to a maintenance dose for safety reasons.”

While many reviews mention being happy with MEDVi’s customer service and guidance throughout their weight loss journey, some report issues with payments and cancellations.

“I was told by multiple reps and a provider there was a money-back guarantee of up to 75% of what I paid …  just to be told in the end they had just changed the policy,” said ConsumerAffairs reviewer, Jaxson. “Instead of addressing my concerns, they cancelled my subscription without discussing it with me first.”

I signed up with MEDVi at the end of September 2026. My experience has been very positive. I wanted to lose about 25 pounds. I only have 4 more pounds to go before I reach my goal weight. I plan on taking Semaglutide at a maintenance level once I reach my desired weight. My blood pressure and cholesterol readings are both down. I do work-out 6 days a week and try to eat healthy on a daily basis. I have telephoned and emailed customer service a few times with no issues. My prescriptions arrive on time. I do make sure to fill out the monthly intake form right away so the doctor can send the prescription to the pharmacy. Thanks MEDVi!!

I've had a good experience with MedVi so far, my weight has been up and down by give or take maybe 10 pounds. It's a little frustrating but I understand the process also there was a little confusion on whether tirzepetide or semiglutide was more effective with my weightloss. But after checking back with my old provider and previously I was on semaglutide, and it worked really good for me, so I just needed to communicate this with my nurse, Mary, and she gave me no problems at all. She was extremely helpful and more than polite to me throughout the entire process. I appreciate the professionalism and courtesy here at MedVi. I think that the rest of my journey will be extremely satisfying... I'm happy here! I will be submitting more updated photos in the near future.... This is how big I am currently...

Overall I am very satisfied with the program and my progress. The reorder process is simple and the support is very helpful. I did have to pause my subscription back in March due to having a colonoscopy and trying to get my account reactivated was not that simple, however, after several tele-visits, it was straightforward out. Now, due to the delay, I have a full prescription that I haven’t started yet and I am supposed to reorder a new prescription. I’m not sure what the shelf-life of the medication is and I don’t want to get too far ahead with my prescriptions. My progress has been slow, losing roughly 4 lbs per month in the past 6 months. I am ok with this pace as side effects have been very minimal with no nausea, vomiting or constipation. My acid reflux has increased somewhat but has been manageable. I wish to continue the program on a month to month basis.

I normally do not write reviews, but after seeing so many mixed opinions online, I wanted to share my HONEST experience with MEDVi because my experience with them has been extremely positive from start to finish. I had absolutely no problems with MEDVi whatsoever. Every time I needed assistance or had questions, I was able to speak with an actual trained medical professional — not some random customer service person reading from a script. That alone gave me confidence in the company.

What really stood out to me was how much they actually cared about safety and medical responsibility. When I originally asked for a dosage increase, they did NOT automatically give me what I wanted just because I was paying for the service. In fact, because I had already lost a significant amount of weight and my BMI had dropped considerably, they refused to increase my dosage and instead lowered me to a maintenance dose for safety reasons.

Looking back, that says a LOT about this company. Many places today will simply increase doses as long as the money keeps coming in. MEDVi did the opposite. They prioritized my health and safety over profit, and I genuinely respect them for that.

      I followed their advice closely:
      - Exercised regularly
      - Ate healthier
      - Increased protein intake

      - Stayed consistent

Within just a few months, I lost a very significant amount of weight. I also never had a single issue with billing. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no shady practices. Their pricing was exactly what they told me it would be. When I canceled before my next shipment, there was zero hassle and zero games.

At one point, my endocrinologist had me try oral weight loss pills from his office because they were cheaper than the injections. Unfortunately, the pills simply did not work as well for me personally. When I called MEDVi about restarting treatment, they STILL would not restart me immediately until I completed updated blood work first to make sure I was medically healthy enough to continue.

Again — that speaks volumes. If a company insists on updated labs before taking your money, that should give people confidence that they are operating responsibly and actually care about patient safety. For me personally, MEDVi has been professional, transparent, medically responsible, and highly effective. MEDVi all the way for me.

Medvi has been wonderful to for my GLP-1 or semuglutide weight loss journey. The online forms are easy to fill out, the medical questions are on point, and any concerns you may have with dosage, extra supplies, adding in additional medications, is very easy to discuss and get taken care of immediately. You are assigned your own case manager, mine is Ana, who has been wonderful, and having a direct line to her has made this experience even easier to be able to communicate any needs I want to discuss with her. The pricing of the semiglutide with the subscription is fantastic in comparison to a lot of other companies I have looked into! If you are looking to start your journey with the GLP-1/semglutide, I would highly recommend Medvi

Tried their Tirzepitide plan. Tried pills and injectables; didn't lose any weight, really even changed diet. Tried to increase dosage; still didn't work. Called in and cancelled after they kept increasing the price to 400 for a single month, then two months later got another charge for 400 to my account. They then tell me I never canceled but have no real reason why they didn't charge me the previous month. And then won't refund my money and tell me they can just send me more medication that doesn't work. Absolutely terrible company to work with and do business with; definitely will be filing a complaint with BBB.

Medvi is quick to provide GLP-1 meds to anyone that asks. If it goes south, as it did for me they are also quick to ghost. I was sick for five days. I requested nausea medication, which they agreed to send to my pharmacy. They did not. Now I know why - they have no doctors. I requested my account be canceled and a refund issues - and now they're nowhere. Anyone considering Medvi should read this article in Drug Discover & Development published on April 24, 2026 titled, “Fake testimonials, no pharmacy and an FDA warning: how Medvi built a $1.8 billion telehealth company in the gaps between regulators”: Fake testimonials, no pharmacy and an FDA warning (**).

After taking med GLP one medication for 4 to 5 months and not losing any weight I canceled online. Over the next four months I was built $399.50 every month without receiving any medications. When I called them they said that their terms of agreement state that I didn’t cancel or something like that however they did stop sending me medications and emails so obviously they know I canceled. I’ve reported to the federal trade commission and also to my credit card company. Do not use this company. Their medicines aren’t effective and they will continue billing you months after you quit. I have emails of their billing and emails of the last time they sent meds.

My first 3 months using Medvi medications didn't arrive on time - always late. Recently I have received medications too soon, and currently have 2 medications that expired before I was able to use them - for a total of 4 injections that expired before I was due for another dose. This is wasted money for me. Trying to work through it now -- and I can already see that my next dose will be late.

Run from this company. I used them for 9 months. They sink the hook in with the "subscriptions." The process is you fill a prescription form out and meet with a nurse practitioner and/or they just review your refill request and then approve the script and it is mailed out. I had a week before I needed to fill and I got invoiced. I immediately called in and got a very hostile support person stating she couldn't refund didn't I know what a subscription was? I used chat and still was denied...Mind you no medication has been shipped at this point. I still have a week's dose on current shipment. But they won't refund...They hide behind website terms and conditions but NOTHING in your patient portal states a billing date for you to be aware of this magical date that billing automatically hits whether you have an approved refill or not.
