Before I moved to Florida with my wife, Miracle-Ear was advertised in the area in New Jersey and I got my first pair there. I've had them for 20 years now and the aids are quality products. I couldn't get on without it. It's just a little overpriced. I could afford to buy it at the time, but with the competition today, Miracle-Ear needs to rethink their pricing setup. The last pair that I have, I lost one, so I'm using one of my older pair with one of the newer pair, and it's working fine.

I had hearing aids with a rechargeable battery. The battery would last about a year then it had to be changed. The company charged me $60 every time I went in to see the people. I was looking for something better and ended up with Miracle-Ear. Their aids have been very good. In the last year and a half, customer service has been excellent.

I tried a hearing aid company and it took eight minutes for them to give me a hearing test so I walked out. They were pushing me like crazy so I went to Miracle-Ear. Their customer service was superb. I got the behind the ear model which was what their rep recommended. The cost is good and so are the hearing aids. I got my money's worth. We come in the shop every six months and they test them as well as my ears. I lost more hearing from my left ear so they had made the adjustments.

My Miracle-Ear hearing aid goes over and in. I had a set of hearing aids before this set. I gave about $7,000 for that set and I had them for about three years. All of a sudden, I needed a new set after I got tested. The new set cost me $12,000 and Miracle-Ear kept my old set. I felt like I had been taken advantage of. $12,000 for a set of hearing aids is pretty astronomical. But the service has been good so perhaps that is what offsets the cost.
Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids are pretty good but they're way overpriced. Miracle-Ear is more interested in selling their product than they are interested in my hearing. My hearing being better is just a bonus for them. There's a lot more that can be done through new technology and I've even inquired and suggested, but the subject always gets changed. It's all about getting you back in the office, telling you that you're more adept than you used to be, and selling you some more hearing aids. Miracle-Ear should be associated with a professional audiologist that are doctors that actually do surgery, rather than it just being a money hustle.

I'm a cheapskate and the cost of Miracle-Ear is hallatious. But I figured if anybody needed help with hearing, it was gonna be me. I've been pleased with the sense that they do everything they can to make your situation better. The people I've worked with here in Baker have been really good. I told my friends, “I've been back to these guys a lot of times and they've never charged me a nickel.” Most of them were impressed with that.
I've had to take care of my wife the last year ‘cause she's had a couple of operations and chemo treatment. But she's doing very well and doing most of the housework now, which I'm very grateful for. I listen to her quite a bit ‘cause she's gotta put up with me, and she said these new hearing aids are really worth the money. These stupid masks though hook on the hearing aids. I went fishing in the wintertime. I wear glasses, and then I put sunglasses on and a cap and a stocking cap and a hood, and that was a nightmare with hearing aids. The other thing that happens a little bit is that when I put a Gore-Tex hood on, I get an echo.

I heard Miracle-Ear was a good company and they had a good service program. But due to the COVID thing, they don't do where they clean your ears anymore. I just really care for that having to go to different locations to get my ears clean. They should get to a more personal mode. They should start cleaning the ears again because that lack of contact to the consumer is gonna be a negative one. Also, the hearing aids that are behind the ears are very expensive.

It was a miracle that I can hear due to Miracle-Ear. I was told by other hearing places that there was nothing that could be done. But when I walked into Miracle-Ear, they told and showed me different. I never heard the second hand on a clock but when I was standing there, I was like, “What is that noise? It’s ticking.” It was the second hand on the clock. The hearing aid goes in the canal and up over my ear, behind my ear. They were $8,900 and I got a special at that time for $7,100. I knew I couldn't hear but I didn't realize it was that bad until I got these hearing aids to realize exactly what I was missing out on life. I can hear my grandchildren and I don't have to ask them to repeat their self. My family is so much happier because now I don't have anyone getting aggravated because they have to repeat their self two or three times. I would highly recommend Miracle-Ear above any other hearing place that there is, and I have been to some.

I like the idea of how things with the company are set up where I invested in the Ambassador Program, which gives me a lot of different information concerning eating, exercising, cooking recipes. I did my research before I even went to be tested for the hearing aid, so I knew what questions I needed to ask and what I wanted to know. The hearing tech answered all of them for me, and then some. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to listen to what I had to say, considering I had a little background in the medical industry. He was very easy to talk to. I couldn't ask for a better person who works for Miracle-Ear to service me that day. I hope he never leaves. I bought the product and I was satisfied. I've told other people about it.

I have partial hearing loss. My Miracle-Ear unit is in the ear and goes up on top of my ear. The quality is about as good as you can get. Miracle-Ear has been so good to me. My daughter now takes the aids in when they need something cleaned or dried out. I used to do it before the pandemic started. Customer service was very good.

The man that was there at Miracle-Ear in the very beginning treated me quite well. I went there again and there was a different man. He took my hearing aids and went to the backroom somewhere for maybe 20 minutes. He came back out, and handed them to me, and said, “There you are. Goodbye.” I was a little bit disappointed at the time. He didn't check my hearing or anything. He just had them set for a certain pitch and that was it. The next time I went back, there was a different man there again and he adjusted them a little bit better for me. My hearing aids are the cheapest hearing aids that they have. They can be a little bit better than what they are, but I don't have the money to invest in the $4,000 and $5,000 ones. But Miracle-Ear did the best they could with what I bought.

I went with Miracle-Ear on a referral from my cousin. I like Miracle-Ear. I like their service, their quality and their hearing aids. The customer service is good. I can call and get an appointment right away. If I have an issue, they help me. I really have enjoyed working with all of them. However, the cost is ridiculous. Especially for older people, I don't know how they could afford it. I was able to buy it with the little bonus that I had. It was almost $7,000 and I got the ones that have the Bluetooth and the streaming. But I love it.
Having a Miracle-Ear hearing aid has improved my life a great deal. However, with the mask, it's really hard right now. They don't realize how much we look at people's mouths when they're talking and now we can't do that. But it's not because of the hearing aid. I have to use a rubber band to cut it around my neck, around my head, because I have hearing aids and glasses. Every time I pull my mask down, my hearing aid pops out and it’s a pain in the butt.

I have good experience with them, and I’ve been thinking about coming back for a few months. If we’d ever get back to normal operations, I may not have to wait that long because I’ve lost a little more hearing. I have the hearing aids that go behind the ear, and then into the ear. I got this thing hanging on my ear. It works all right for me. I live in this big retirement complex with 120 people and we have activities, card games, exercises, group exercise, and it helps my hearing. It helps my activities and relationship with people when I'm around them.

I enjoyed my time with them and everything works fine for me. I would tell my friends or family to give them a try.

The quality of Miracle-Ear's hearing aids is good but the price is outrageous. It is, however, the best you could get. I have their behind-the-ear model. One piece goes inside your ear then it goes over your ear. Also, customer service is outstanding.

Other people said they liked Miracle-Ear. They liked the service and so forth. I said, “Well, I’d go there.” And I know exactly where they’re at. It’s easier to get to them. The reps are always very helpful. I like the hearing aids very much. I take them out at night, boy do I notice a difference. When I put them back in the morning, I’m like, “Wow.” It was hard for me to hear before. Because I don't want to be turning up the TV and everybody was like, “What did you turn it up for? Why did you turn it?” “I can hardly hear it.” So my wife finally said, “Hey, you got to get hearing aids." Now, it’s down to a decent level. I have recommended Miracle-Ear to a friend of mine. He likes them.

I had a hard time hearing and a friend of mine recommended Miracle-Ear. I got the model with the rechargeable battery for convenience. I'm very pleased with the quality, comfort, and wearing them. They're not very large so you're not running around with anything big hanging from your ears. People can hardly tell that I have hearing aids on. Miracle-Ear corrected everything about my hearing. The receptionist and my doctor were awesome. The same can be said about making appointments.

A relative of mine had a husband who had Miracle-Ear and was pleased with it, so I went and tried that. I had tried another one prior to that and it didn't seem to do the job for me. Miracle-Ear seemed to be more specific as to what I could hear and cut out some of the sounds that the other one didn't cut out. It’s very comfortable, except when I put on a mask during this time and I kick out my hearing aids on occasion and that’s not good.
Their customer service has been good so far. They had sent my hearing aids back for battery replacement. I talked to the man who has been handling it about some problems I was having with getting sounds from the TV itself in addition to what was transmitted to my ear. He said, “Let's try another type of plug.” When they came back, that's how they were fitted and it’s amazing how much better I can hear with those. For the quality, they seem to be priced low compared with others that weren't so good. I've had a very good experience with Miracle-Ear so far.

It has been great dealing with Miracle-Ear. They were close by so I chose to work with them. Every time I've been there, they've been very nice. I'm very satisfied with them. I went with the behind the ear hearing aids. The piece that goes in the ear with the little wire on it is not always convenient but it's good. It worked very well. I can hear better. It's a little expensive, but I've had them for a while and I haven't had any problems with them.

I checked other providers when I was looking for hearing aids. But Miracle-Ear seemed to be the most professional and knowledgeable. They’re very courteous. They would spend time with you, explain everything to you so you know what's going on. I was very happy with them. I have the behind ear and it fits me great. I now hear everything that I was meant to before. My wife doesn't have to yell at me.

I had a hearing evaluation with a different hearing aid company and did not like the way I was treated at all. I stumbled upon Miracle-Ear and gave them a try. Their customer service is exceptional, very caring and compassionate. They wanted me to be able to hear and it was not about selling me the top-of-the-line. I’m very pleased with the cost in relation to its quality. I got an over-the-ear hearing aid. It has a little tube that goes in and then, I can adjust the volume on my phone. I hear so much better and clearer. The hearing aid has made a complete turnaround with my life.

I got Miracle-Ear for their reputation and it has been positive dealing with their sales and customer service team. I have the conventional hearing aid over the ear with that little plastic loop that goes into the ear. It is outrageously expensive but the impact in having them is not too noticeable. It’s mostly with my wife.
Reviewed Jan. 26, 2021
The customer service of Miracle-Ear has been very pleasant and easy to work with. I have had not too much trouble with the hearing aids. The only issue I have had, occasionally, was getting some whistling around my left ear. Came to find out they needed to just put a little bigger plug on the earpiece so that it didn't have a little gap there. That pretty well took care of that.
Until COVID and the masks came along, I thought it was the simplest for me. I prefer the KN95 mask with an ear loop rather than the two bands behind the head. So, when I remove it, I have to be very cautious to make sure I grab the little band at the top and move it around the hearing aid, or else I could fling the hearing aid across the room while I take it off.
Occasionally I'll have it fall off when I bend over from behind my ear. I found there was an advantage to having longer hair. It helps hold it in place. When my wife trimmed my hair every month and it gets shorter, then it's more likely when I bend over to slip around from behind the ear. But that's not a real frequent occurrence. With the quality of the sound, I have no problem. I've always had the general, then the directed. They added a third one that was supposed to be picking up the most prominent sound and just magnifying it. However, the hearing aids were awfully expensive.

I have profound hearing loss and I did not know this because my hearing loss started when I was a young child. By the time I came for the hearing test, I did not hear out of the left ear at all and very minimal out of the right ear. When they put the hearing aids in, it opened up the whole world for me. Because I had not heard well for so many years, it was like I had to learn the sound of words and certain sounds all over again. I tell myself, “That’s the fountain by the front door running.” It was a good experience for me because I needed it so badly. I have the one that goes behind the ear and it's very good. These are my first hearing aids and I'm just happy to hear. I encouraged a lot of friends I knew that had hearing problems afterwards to get their hearing tests and find out how bad their hearing really is.
As we get older, our hearing gradually gets worse. I didn't realize that my hearing was that bad. The reps were all wonderful to me as well. Any questions I had when I called back, there was always an answer. I can always come in right now if I have a problem. I have not bumped into anyone yet up there at the office that did not treat me in a very kind and concerned way. In fact, the person that gave me the hearing test did not work at that store. He was a vice president somewhere in charge in this area. Because someone just quit, he was there because they needed someone that day. I happened to get him for the hearing test and it was the best. It was the first hearing test I ever had, but I brought my sister along. She had been with her husband and it was considered a free test.
My sister said, “Oh my gosh, I never saw such a good free test.” They spent so much time with me and I was happy with the whole experience. I thought, "Well, nobody's gonna loan an old woman this age that much money, that lives on a fixed income." Miracle-Ear also helped me with the financing. Right now, I have nothing bad to say for Miracle-Ear. Their company is on the top of what's going on with hearing right now and the best electronical things. The technology gets smaller and smaller all the time. I wear my hair very short and when I go to my doctor's office, the nurse always goes to put the temperature thing in my ear. I go, “Just a minute, I have hearing aids.” She goes, “No, you don't. I can't see any.” She's done it twice now, forgetting I have hearing aids.

My children and my husband encouraged me to get a hearing aid although I did not think my hearing loss was that bad. So, if I was going to get a hearing aid, I was going to go to the best and Miracle-Ear is the best. After I had a hearing test and it was pointed out to me what my hearing loss was, I got the hearing aids. When I started wearing them, everything was so much clearer and sharper. I had been living with that for a while and didn't realize that it could be better. I like that I can adjust my hearing level on my smartphone, which is very helpful and convenient. The hearing aid is expensive but is worth the money. It has made me comfortable especially in social situations. The staff is perfect. We just walked in one day and was very pleasantly surprised at how well the facility was run, the evaluation of my mom, and everything. I was very pleased with it. I knew upfront that it would be more expensive than other hearing aids, but having someone locally very close that could answer any questions or problems that arose made it a very easy decision to make for the long term. My mom's hearing is much better with the hearing aids so we're very satisfied with it.

Many years ago, when you couldn't hear somebody, they would say, "Get a Miracle-Ear.” I tried a regular audiologist and I wasn't satisfied. The hearing aid didn't seem to do anything for me. So, I went to Miracle-Ear. The customer service was great. I used the one at the Sears and King of Prussia but since moving to Berks County, I’ve been using the Reading office. It has changed hands as far as the doctor there a couple times but I've always been pleased with who I'm dealing with. I had the small in-ear ones for probably the first two sets I had but I had profound hearing loss and found that I needed the behind-the-ear for the power. I have absolutely no high tones at all and very little low, so I can't survive without my hearing aids on. Unless somebody was right in my face yelling, I probably wouldn't hear them.

I went to my EMT and he had an audiologist. She gave me a hearing aid and it was determined that I have hearing loss and that I would benefit from hearing aids. She fit me with some hearing aids and I was very uncomfortable with them. I did not feel that I was hearing any better and it was not a very good experience. They were $5,000 for the two and they said that I would lose 10% if I returned them. I did and lost $500. I went without hearing aids for a while and I felt that I could do better with hearing aids. Miracle-Ear had a promotion where you could use the hearing aids for 90 days. If you don't like them, you can return them and get every penny refunded. So, I tried them. They were much more comfortable and I kept them.
During the time that I've had them, I'm not hearing as clearly as I should and they upped the volume. If this turns out in the future that I feel that I'm not hearing as well, they can up the volume another level. The hearing aids are quite expensive but I'm very comfortable with them. Sometimes I wear them and don't even realize that I have them on. I've been touting Miracle-Ear because the service is wonderful. I call them up and if they have an opening, there's no problem. There's no charge. So, I'm very satisfied with my Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids. I was very disappointed when I went in and Justin, the fellow at the store, wasn't there. There's something about the drum where it's hard to get the hearing aids in the right place. They had to make a mold and make a hearing aid. I do appreciate them doing what they did. I bought the $200 thing where you plug in whatever on the TV, and I'm not happy with that. If I mute the TV, it's still in my ears and I can't talk. So, we're gonna talk about that this week when I go in. It may not be for me but we'll check it out and there may be some adjustments that he can tell me that I need to do. I'm doing fine with my Miracle-Ear hearing aids. I used to have a Soul and I didn't like paying that much money. The quality of my Miracle-Ear is very good. They go directly into my ears and they are really nice. I listen to a lot of bible things on my iPad and the Bluetooth connection is good. With my Miracle-Ear, I hear a lot better. Alma at the Rialto store has done marvelously for me. Whenever I have an appointment, I try to see her. I can go at any time to have the hearing aids adjusted if I need to. But, I have a good idea of how to do it and I can just everything here at home. I'm very happy with all but Miracle-Ear's price. I know a lot of people that have gotten their hearing aids since I got mine and they're really happy too.

Originally, my hearing aid was inside the canal style. That was what Miracle-Ear had to offer at the time. The hearing aid works but I've paid too much for it. They're too expensive. Miracle-Ear wanted over $5,000 to trade mine in to get the new one that they got. That’s just outrageous. I've already paid $5,000 for the one I have. So I'd tell my friends to go elsewhere. There's got to be something better than $5,000 to still get hearing.

I had a hard time hearing the TV and hearing other people talking. It's kind of nerve-racking sometimes. When you're trying to hear a conversation you can't hear at all, you kind of laugh when everybody else laughs and you don't even hear what they're talking about. I had tried some hearing aids from somebody else at one time and I didn't like it. It was an insert instead of like these ones from Miracle-Ear which are behind the ear. I feel more comfortable with them.
The rep has done real good and she explained a lot of stuff. Anytime I need anything, all I have to do is call. Five times, I had to replace the ends on them before the appointment was ready. If I call her, she'll say, "Yeah, come on." I'll just go and she'll clean them, put new ends on them and everything's good to go. I have a friend that lives in a housing development. She walks around and she was having a problem hearing. I told her about how good my hearing aids were and she went right on, made her appointment and got her a set of hearing aids from the same people. I highly recommend Miracle- Ear to anybody that's having hearing problems. I'm content with Miracle-Ear. You pay for what you get. You can buy cheap and you get cheap. You ride expensive and you get good quality stuff. If I had to upgrade, I would upgrade with Miracle-Ear.

The main person from Miracle-Ear I spoke to was the doctor. My hearing aid is the Behind-the-ear. It was the one that he recommended for me. I picked the little bit better variety because of the digital interaction between being able to track it on an app on my phone and make adjustments, as well as being able to pick up phone calls through my hearing aids. I've had a couple of different issues with them but Miracle-Ear has been very good to work with to get it adjusted, fixed or replaced. I've had a number of occasions where I've had to reach out to the office. Sometimes, it seems to get confusing because I call the number, and an answering service answers and asks which office I'm calling but eventually, I get my answer.

Miracle-Ear was fairly local. It was only 40 minutes to where their office is and that was a major factor for choosing them. Dealing with them has been very positive. Most of it has been on scheduled appointments. A couple of times, I had to schedule something because I was having an issue and we could get it scheduled right away and got the problem solved. I ended up with the higher-end hearing aid model. It is the behind-the-ear and I really like it. I'm on the phone a lot for work and I switch back and forth between my personal phone and work phone. I should have done it a long time ago.

Miracle-Ear had offered free hearing test and we went there. We were satisfied and eventually purchased the hearing aids. I've had them for several years now and they've been excellent. I can make adjustments on them and they fit well. The ones I have go behind the ear and you hardly even see it. Their customer service is fantastic. Anytime that I've needed to have the hearing aids checked or cleaned, they have been super responsive and they see me anytime that I need help. There's a person that works there that does all of the testing. Her name is Crystal and she has always been super wonderful to me when I've gone there for updates on my hearing, doing test on it and checking the aids out periodically to make sure they're still working properly. The girl that works at the front desk has always been so welcoming and helpful whenever I've had to go in there for anything at all regarding the hearing aids.

I looked at several companies and I was impressed with Miracle-Ear the most. I went with the behind the ear and I hate them. I feel like I'm carrying a boom box around. It's mostly cosmetic. They're high-end. They're a little pricey, but they're comparable with Beltone and some of the others. I'm unhappy because it has been just under two years when I bought these, and supposedly, they were top-of-the-line at that time. Now, I go back and, “Well, we've got these invisible in the ear things, but it's gonna be another $7,000.” I was like, “You know, I just paid you $7,000.” I'm not happy about that. The technology themselves are good. But most of them need to sharpen their pencil a bit.

The only thing is when I use a phone, I have a habit of pressing the phone to my ear. When I do that, it makes it worse. The last time I went back to the audiologist, she said it seemed like I was losing a little more hearing. I don't see it myself but she ought to know because she's the doctor. I've been disappointed that I cannot wear them as much.
I've been cautious with my ears. My sister had to get ear things too but she did not go to Miracle-Ear because they were about three times as much as what she was paying. She thinks I was pretty stupid to pay $6,060. I was out of money and she only paid 200. I told her that Miracle-Ear calls me and makes an appointment every two months. They check on me and my earpieces when I go to them. The tech always makes sure they are right. If I have a problem, I can go back to them and they will fix it. I'm satisfied with them. Even though my sister says she got her hearing aids a lot cheaper, we got what we paid for. I tell any friend I have that is thinking about getting earpieces that Miracle-Ear is fine. If I put a kerchief or hood on from my jacket, I feel my ear before I put the headpiece on. As I start to take it off, I feel my earpieces too to make sure they're still in there. I'm conscious of them.

I bought a set of Hearing Aids From Miracle Ear May 14, 2020. Tried them for two weeks the left aid kept backing out of my ear, Audiologist put foam tape on aid to see if enlarging it would work. I told her that I couldn't pay that amount of money for something that had foam rubber on it. She assured me it was just for trial. Well this went on for a while until she could order me a new set longer and wider. I went in and got new set, tried them the left one did the same thing. So I kept going back in with the same problem. So Audiologist put foam tape on the left one again, a piece came off in my ear and stuck in the ear. Audiologist probes in my ear until it got to hurting. She quits, tells me I probably need to go to doctor and see if they can get it out before I get infection or something.
So I flush ear myself for two weeks. Finally it comes out. So I go back in the day it comes out. She makes new mold of left ear orders new aid (All this time my Thirty Days ran out Audiologist didn't say one word about extending the time and I thought we were good.) The new aid comes in. I try for it for the awhile same thing. So I take them in and tell her I can't do this this anymore and leave.
So she calls later that day tells me they want give refund until I try the behind ear type aids so I say okay but know I don't want that type of aid. I made it very clear when I bought I didn't want that type. So I kept them for a week went in gave them up. She told me there was a form I had to sign to get refund because I was over the Thirty day trial period and they (Miracle Ear) would keep the 10% I paid down. I disagreed with this but signed the form. Miracle Ear sent a receipt on computer saying I would receive $4,760. back in my account. That's minus $530. off of purchase price. I haven't had a working pair of aids. All this I I turned the last pair in Sept. 4, 2020. From May 14, 2020 to Sept. 4, 2020.

I couldn't hear and it was significant enough that I lost 26 letters of the alphabet sound. I couldn't hear my kid and my wife. All the TV was really confusing. I couldn't hear the windshield wipers in the car during a rainstorm. I couldn't hear the electrician come over like, the ignition switch, which was in the house turning on as I did. Most people won't realize how much hearing they lose because it's so gradual. It was just by the gift of God that I got to Paula at Miracle-Ear and finally found my first pair of hearing aids.
Paula was excellent in what she did. She gave me a hearing test, gave me the best advice possible, gave me options when I first started it to see if which hearing aid I wanted, and talked to her. There were three sets of hearing aids when I went back a few years ago, and each one had a certain advantage to it. As the prices go up, you'd get a little bit wider range. But I was very much satisfied with the first set that I've got. It was an emotional experience on the first time, being in a car when it would rain, I could actually hear the sound of the windshield wipers moving back and forth. I knew then how much I had lost my hearing.
I had a few repair bills for the first set. It needed local maintenance. I went in for a while and my hearing dropped a little bit more and I took another test. So now I've got even a better set that actually has to do a free training my mind to hear certain sounds. Paula was very much concerned and she guided me through every step. She is very good with customer relations. There was also an excellent man who was an audiologist there and he advised me. The hearing aids that I have right now are really fantastic. The first set I've ever been able to put in where I don't have to put batteries in them anymore. I'm very satisfied with my experience.

So then, the insurance kicked in and they got me another one. Although I'm having problems now with the right one. I lost the right one, to begin with. But the one that they replaced it with, I don't hear as well out of my right ear as I did with the first one. I had to wait for about a week when I called them about a problem I was having with this right ear hearing aid.
It seems like they could do a better job. They used to have a part-time girl at the front desk. I have behind-the-ear hearing aids, which was what it showed in the article I got. I was guided that direction by the hearing professional at Miracle-Ear. The sound that I get from my hearing aids is tinny. They're not nearly as exacting to the exact hearing loss I have that they should be. The sound is like it was with the first transistor radios. Since then, the transistor radio is no longer even around. Now, they're all computer-generated. Stereos that don't have tubes in them have better sound than most that would. So, through time, things have gotten better. I would like to be able to put them in a computer and for me to tweak these frequencies rather than have to do it at the doctor's office. Even with his best efforts, he does not tweak them properly for me because there are some screechy sounds that amplifies them even more. It makes life even less comfortable.
My granddaughter has got a squeaky voice and it makes it to where I sometimes have to take the hearing aids completely out if I wanna be in the same room with her. I'm very disappointed with Miracle-Ear. If it wasn't for my wife insisting that I wear the hearing aid so that I can understand her stuff, I would just throw them in the trash. If the quality of the sound that comes out of them is anything close to the sound that comes out of my earbuds with my iPhone, I would be one happy customer. They're working so hard on making things so small that the sound quality is just not there.

If I don't have my hearing aids where I live with my older son, it's just mumbling when he talks to me from another room and with the Miracle Ear, he doesn't holler at me as much. Each time, they needed to be sent away for two weeks and I had to sign a document regarding the "loner" aids that said I was liable for loss or damage. And I needed to go back to the store (30 miles away) to get the fixed or new aid. This was in addition to several other times when they could fix the problem, like replacing the receiver, onsite. I just got a "new" pair a month ago and the right aid now has very loud static now. Of course, the franchise isn't open during the weekend and the site where I bought the aids is only open on Tuesday and Thursday. No way to make an appointment.
The support from the store where I bought the aids has been good. In the year I have had 4 different persons providing me support. But the support form the franchisee, Billedeaux Hearing Center L L C, in Lafayette, LA has been disappointing. I have had two appointment to meet/talk to their customer service manager and he hasn't attended either. I thought this store was supported from Hattiesburg, MS. But now that I see Billedeaux Hearing Center L L C rating online it is a 1 out of a possible 5. I had aids previously that had gone bad, so I decided to go with a national well know brand. This started in May 27, 2020 and now this is September 15th and weekly visits to the store and remakes, they are still not right. The left ear aid doesn't fit correctly at all and the right barely does. My left ear sounds like static electricity unless I sit in total silence with no noise. The latest this week was the tech super glued a piece of tape to the left aid making it much worse.
The whole experience with Miracle ear has been a nightmare from the get-go even to have had the mold stuck in my ear which took oil and prying to get out leaving my ear irritated for a couple of days. I made a costly big mistake in choosing Miracle-Ear and now stuck with monthly payments for crappy product. I even had an offer mailed to me to supposedly buy 1 get one free. Well that didn't happen. I am paying for two. A total disaster Company.

I've been wearing hearing aids for years before I went to Miracle-Ear. I wasn't happy with the other place I was at and I figured I’d try a new one. Miracle-Ear is about the third I’ve tried in the last 10 years and so far, they've worked out pretty well. My wife and I bought hearing aids a short period apart and there was much more follow up than there was in the other place. Miracle-Ear calls us and makes appointments. In fact, we have an appointment on Monday to go in and have a check up. Their service is much more involved than the previous place.
I have one behind-the-ear transmitter that transmits to the hearing aid in my left year, and my left ear is an in-the-ear. That's the one that was suggested to me by the audiologist. My right ear is so deteriorated that they didn't think that a hearing aid would work but what they did made a substantial difference in my hearing as far as surround sound hearing. But as far as overall hearing, I am limited though they did probably as good as it could. Maybe another 5 or 10 years would do even better. But that’s change. It would get more and more complicated and evolved.
From place to place, the cost pretty much follows taking inflation into account. Hearing aids basically run about the same amount which is somewhere between $4,000, give or take on either side. The transmitter was cheaper than the actual hearing aids which makes some sort of sense. It came up to just a little of $4,000 so that's about what I've been spending for at least the last 10 years or so. I’ve heard of people paying upward of 7 but I can’t imagine it being $3,000 worth of difference. I'm retired and I don’t have a certain income.
I’d recommend Miracle-Ear to other people. However, COVID has affected everything. It did take a little bit longer to get an appointment this time than we usually used to take. But every time we’ve gone there, we’ve gotten very good service. I haven’t had to wait an awful long time. The appointments seem to be very professionally handled. The appointment is at 9:30, you get there 10 minutes early, and you’re taken at 9:30. That’s one of the good things about them as I’ve sat in doctor’s offices for an hour, an hour and a half, two hours sometimes.

I’m 80 years old. My hearing is worse in my left ear. I got a behind-the-ear from Miracle-Ear. Miracle-Ear got so many convenient locations. I like the way Ashley, the consultant, explained it to me. She'd done the test to my ears. She was great at answering questions I had. These others I went to, they answered a question and went around the bush, and I had to ask the question again. Ashley knows it all. By answering me, she puts me at ease.
My hearing aids are all right till I had to take my oxygen concentrator. I even have to wear a mask. I have three things over the ears, so I have to be very careful taking something off because I'll pull my hearing aid out and lose it. I also keep having trouble with it. But I got an appointment next week down in Baytown with Ashley. So she'll get it straightened out again. The cost was also a little bit extreme. I have friends that got the $800 ones from Walmart and I paid $16,000 for these.

The rep was very knowledgeable, experienced and people-compatible. She's one of the real pluses of the whole experience. My Miracle-Ear hearing aids are generally good. They make a difference. One of the best features is when we're watching television, we can have the sound off on the TV and I can still pick it up on on my hearing aids. That's a real plus. On the other hand, when I'm working outside and mowing the lawns or doing home repair work with the drills and saws, they're not a good thing to have in 'cause I wanna have regular earplugs. I can't have earplugs and hearing aids at the same time.

My hearing loss was bad. My husband used to tell me that I used to yell at him and I said that I was not yelling. He told me to go have my ears checked. I never had other providers so Miracle-Ear was the first one and I took them up on it. The customer service was wonderful. I have the hearing aids with the wire that goes over. Now that we're wearing masks, that's the only thing I don't like because the mask gets caught in there. But I don't have to change batteries at all. They charge at night. I have enjoyed my experience with Miracle-Ear. I get the device checked once in a while and everything's working okay.

When I watch TV or talk to people, I can't understand what they were saying. I live by myself, but I still get the TV turned up too loud. I went in for a pre-exam and hearing test, and Miracle-Ear was very nice. Also, I liked the product. However, I don't wear my hearing aids that often because of it conflicting with the mask and my glasses. Every time I take the mask on and off, it pops my hearing aid out. Also, with the glasses, it feels like there's too much behind my ear. I try to wear it more often, but it just depends on what I'm doing and where I'm going.
The quality is good but the cost is too high. If it was time to replace them, I don't know if I would or not. I don't know if I use them enough to pay that much for them again. I'm not sure that I really need them. Also, I questioned getting the ones that don't have anything behind your ear. But the canal in my ear is too small and the tech didn't think I would be able to hold them in. But other than that, they're pretty easy.

I had brain surgery and there was some damage done as a result of my brain surgery where I wasn't hearing well through the one ear and I thought it was just something I was gonna have to live with because my first doctor said that hearing aid would help. I gave it a shot just because I got a very bad case of Tinnitus after my surgery. My doctor recommended Miracle-Ear once we got it working through the insurance and the insurance approved a certain portion of the payment. He suggested talking to Miracle-Ear and that was the only place I ended up going to because I had such a good experience. When I tried the hearing aid and I went for a consult with Miracle-Ear, everything sounded very good. It broke the Tinnitus noise and I can hear very well. It started working good.
My hearing aids are the ones that you just stick into your eardrum. It hooks around behind my ear and then plugs into the front. They're very good and I'm fairly used to them. I had a little bit of an issue about a month ago where there some moisture was getting in it and it was giving a little crackling sound. I was having trouble understanding people talk. I got Miracle-Ear hearing aids and went with their behind the ear model. I needed a tiny hearing aid. My right ear is smaller than my left ear. It's the model of hearing aid that could fit behind my little ear. Its performance is good until I start sweating. I had them fixed, and I got them back about a week ago. It took them about three weeks to get it fixed. One went out, I brought it in and they sent it off. The other one went out about two weeks later. I think it's the moisture from the sweating. It's not waterproof. I just wish I could wear them and work at the same time. I gotta take them out because they quit working. I don't wanna take any chance to have them to get them fixed again. Because now, when I have labored and slaved all day to cook supper for my sister, and she comes in and says, “It smells so good in here. I brought wine." I don't think she said, "It smells good in here. I wonder why." Sometimes, these hearing aids itch. I just take them out, scratch my ears, put them back in and go on. The adjustable part is in a little plastic case behind my ear. Its overall functionality and performance has been fantastic. There are some things that they can't help me with. But on the whole, it does a tremendous amount. The hearing part with the TV, if my daughter is visiting, she can turn it down to where she can hear it, but I couldn't hear it if I didn't have my hearing aids on. But with my hearing aids on, I can walk into any room in the house or outside, and still hear the TV. Miracle-Ear's rep, Ron, is a marvelous person. Miracle-Ear is great. I had noticed that my hearing loss was kinda severe. I was missing a lot. I've had trouble understanding stuff, so I asked my regular primary care physician. So they sent me an ear guy. They look and said, "Yeah, it's kind of bad."
I went with Miracle-Ear from the initial contact where they were really good on the service on that thing. The reps explained a lot of stuff to me and they do a checkup every four months now. As a matter of fact, I just had a check-up thing today. When I first got my hearing aids and getting used to them, I was hearing things I never heard before. I could almost hear the cat stomping. I can understand people better and I can hear outside nature sounds. I'm surprised with the amount of stuff I've missed because of the gradual hearing loss. I'm satisfied with Miracle-Ear and the service I got. I'm extremely happy. I would recommend it and tell others how we only had good experiences with them.

I also looked at some reviews and they were one of the highest. I got a behind-the-ear hearing aid and the customer service team explained their product. They took the hearing test, showed me the charts, told me what this particular aid could do for me and they programmed it with a couple different settings for different environments. They've been good about cleaning. The batteries are relatively inexpensive and sometimes they even give them to you for your birthday. They’ve been excellent in customer service and I haven't had any kind of problems with that.
The quality is very good. It's hard to differentiate since all aids does have the sound programming. Over $2,000 for one aid is a lot but I understand what it's doing for me too, so it's sort of a balance. I just wish that in general, they didn't cost quite that much so that more people could afford. I don’t know how I would’ve been able to afford two if I needed two. Having it has impacted my life well because I can hear people. I can understand higher pitched voices, especially. At the moment, I'm having some difficulty with one set that has gone back to the factory and has come back maybe not so good. I've gotta go in and see my guy and have him see if it's setting or if he's got to do something else. Functionally, when they sent my last one in to get fixed, it came back, I got it and it lasted one day. I found that it was a problem. I went in a couple of days later when the rep had an opening because it was over the weekend and he found that they had replaced the hearing aid. It had an updated system in it and I find that difficult that the factory would not have flagged it some way when it came back to him and let him know that there was a difference in it. So that’s a minutiae but it's a big point to me about taking care of the customer because I had to go back and he had to spend quite a bit of time upgrading and syncing both of them together.

"Try it for 45 days, 495 a piece." My union gives me $2,000. When I got there at Miracle-Ear, they said that they would only give me credit for 500.
The rep was nice, but he started to give me big prices. And then he said, "Well, we'll leave you in the room here and you can decide which one you want." I then decided. I only went there to appease my wife, and it was a free service. It said 45-day trial. But when you get there, they would not speak anything of that. And I saw on television Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts passed some sort of law where hearing aids were supposed to be reasonably priced. If you work for the state, you get them for free. So, here, I'm paying $9,000 for something that somebody else occupied in office in Albany gets for free. Somebody like Miracle-Ear, it's a money-making operation. Also, every time Miracle-Ear shows them to me, they're the big ones that go behind the years. You wear glasses, you're like a Martian after a while.
We were living up north in Amsterdam, and I went to Johnstown. There was a Miracle-Ear there too. The rep set the hearing aids for me. There was a style, the one that went behind your ear. They gave us options. You can do nothing or buy the new ones, which we opted not to do. That would be like now you're paying $12,000. It’s too much money. I told the guy that. And then my husband lost one, so he had to pay almost $900 to get it replaced, but miracle-Ear didn't have one to lend him in the meantime. The fellows there were very nice. But $800 to replace it, plus the tax and the shipping? Are you kidding me? But we did it.

My hearing loss was so bad that my whole family was complaining. They say, "We have to repeat ourselves so many times. And there's something wrong with you. You need to go see about it." Miracle-Ear was close to me. I read about them and thought that would be good to go and try and see what was wrong with my ears. I've got one set. Then they came out with a newer version about two years later. I got the newer set, and they're wonderful. I really cannot hear without them. I got the one over the ear, and the bud in the ear, and it's the upper level of that one. The sales reps from Miracle-Ear are fantastic. They are so kind, caring, patient, and informative, and a very nice group that I go to. Having the Miracle-Ear made a tremendous difference in my life. I am more outgoing. When I would get in a group of people, I couldn't hear what anybody was saying.

I've got high frequency hearing loss. It sounds like everything's muffled and I can't hear any high pitch sounds like warning beams and stuff like that. I went to where my ear, nose, and throat doctor was. They got a hearing aid person and they were sell hearing aids. I had a hearing test done, got price quotes, and they were about to about the same. I just thought that I'd try Miracle-Ear. I went and they did the hearing test, and ran me through all the stuff. I just felt I would go with someone with name recognition.
The set I got cost $5,000, and even with these Miracle-Ear hearing aids, there are some TV shows or movies, even with the TV app and the volume all the way up on the hearing aids that I still have trouble trying to understand what they're saying. But it is what it is and it's working as best as it can. I don't know if it would make a difference if I bought a more expensive and upgraded one. I'm getting along okay now. Overall, my hearing’s better with hearing aids. I’m using them and trying to get my money's worth out of them.

The hearing aids I got are the best ones that I got. It’s a Miracle-Ear and it's a rechargeable one. It’s the eight speaker one. Miracle Ear's rep, John, does a good job. When I go in there, he cleans my hearing aids, and I'm all set. He sets up an appointment for the next cleaning and that, which would be within a couple months.
My hearing aids work all right if I only had to wear a mask, but seeing that we gotta wear a mask all the time, so far I've been lucky. Other times, when I put the mask on, they flop off and they dangle off my ear. John gave me the option to go back to the one that goes inside my ear. That's only a two speaker. And I wouldn't bother it because it’ll be inside and the mask wouldn’t bother it at all. I'm not dissatisfied with the Miracle-Ear, but I would recommend that if we gotta wear a mask all the time, they should have something that would go into the temple of the frame of the glasses.

I was missing at least 50% of what I was hearing. We saw an ad in the paper, plus there's a Miracle-Ear right around the corner from us. So, it was close by. We couldn't afford the rechargeable hearing aid, which was 9,000 so we got the one that was about $6,000. It's very expensive but it was worth it because I wasn't hearing and I was missing a great deal. Overall, I'm hearing so, it's working very well. I've encountered people who wanna buy cheap hearing aids such as those $100 hearing aids or the things they hear on the internet. When you go to Miracle-Ear, they test your hearing periodically and they adjust your hearing aids as your hearing changes. So, I would highly recommend going to Miracle-Ear. They are doing their very best to help me.
I've had instances where I've had to bring it in because I accidentally pull the wire out or there's a piece in there that becomes clogged way inside and I couldn't do that myself. I had tried and I wasn't very good at it. Mostly, it's my error that brings me in there to have it fixed. I primarily go to Lisa, who works at Miracle-Ear and she's fabulous. The hearing aid changed my life a great deal. My hearing is not perfect but, it has greatly improved.

I had trouble using Miracle-Ear at first. They hurt my ears. My ears were not the same shape inside so the right one was fine but the left one was way too big and it was very uncomfortable so they gave me a new one. Those didn't work very well either so it took three times to get them right. But now, I have some that have very small parts that goes in the ear. They're perfectly comfortable. I would put them in and forget that I've got them on. A lot of times, I would get ready to go to bed at night and when I lie down, I could feel it. I would realize that they're still in there, and I have to get up and take them out. They have been very satisfactory and I love them.
I liked what I read about Miracle-Ear. I didn't want ones that had a thing on the top that you have to keep fooling with and adjust. People get so tired of fooling with them and they have to change batteries all the time. So, I wasn't interested in doing all that. I wanted something that I could just put in, wear and forget, which was what I got with Miracle-Ear. I have told people that need the hearing aids that they're so easy. They should get them so that they're just right. I don't know if it's made a difference, but I've tried.

And at the time, I wasn't ready to consider a hearing aid, but that time finally came around. The rep explained everything in great detail. I got a thing over the ear and the little earbuds goes in my ear. It’s rechargeable. The cost was high. However, it corrected my problem. There are a lot of other things that go into it that I never even thought about, such as the service that I'm getting from Miracle-Ear.
The hearing aids allow me to hear a lot better. The words are clear which makes it easier to understand. I don't have to ask people to repeat themselves. When my wife talks to me, I usually hear her the first time. Also, I had to turn the TV up so loud because I could hear them talking about I couldn’t understand what they were saying. So, I would turn the volume up, and sometimes even that didn't help. But now, I hear at a much lower volume. I also hear things that I didn't hear before. I didn't know that they were there. If we're in church and people are talking around him, he can't always hear the person beside him. So the $600 hearing aids that you hear about that will increase sound or volume would not gonna work for him. So we have to pay the price for Miracle-Ear in order for him to get what he needs. They are expensive. But the nice thing is they give you time to pay it off. You can get a payment plan.
The reps has been very, very good. He can get an appointment when he needs it and they can get it cleaned when he needs it. His hearing aid goes over his ear and in his ear. It’s hardly noticeable. We live in Texas and if it’s 100 degrees outside and he happens to be working outside or if we’re doing yard work and he’s perspiring a lot, he takes it off because it gets wet and that creates a problem for the battery. I only wear the hearing aids in four different situations. One, when we’re out in company with friends having dinner where there’s a lot of background noise. Two, when I’m singing in a choir. Three, when I’m at Church and I want to definitely hear the homily. And then four, the symphony. Big difference in hearing a symphony with it and without.

I’ve been dealing with Miracle-Ear for the past 8 years and the people there are great. I see them every so often just to say hi. They’re nice people. I love my hearing aids. They do work. I’ve got one hearing aid that I’ve got a problem with though. I have the left one done and the right one seems to be going out but I don’t know if there’s anything that could be done with it because it’s old 5 or 6 years old. There are gonna be a lot more improvements and a lot of things to change. The hearing aids look very promising but I can’t afford them right now. We’ve been looking at different hearing aids too, but they are expensive.

One of my friends back in Jersey had Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids. Also, my friends said it was pretty good, so I wanted to try it out. Navigating the website was pretty easy. I made the appointment online. Also, the rep was really good. I just didn’t get the device itself because my insurance doesn’t cover it, but other than that, working with Miracle-Ear was good.

My mother didn’t hear anything. She would have the TV on 54. We went in the fall to get her Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids. The people that assisted us were absolutely wonderful. It was her first set of hearing aids ever. She wears them every day. They’re easy to put in, easy to use, and she can hear everything. People can talk to her now. They can actually have conversations with her. It makes it very much easier for people like me so I don’t have to repeat myself a hundred times and end up yelling all the whatever to have a conversation. We can have a normal conversation and that’s a godsend.

We liked what we saw on the ad and we checked out the hearing aids. We got Evelyn the one that goes in the ear. However, the aids have been off and on. I thought the cost was very high. But if it would help her hearing, it would be worth it. She’s enjoyed it for some, and some, she didn’t. She has a terrible time of hearing and that ain’t helping her so that’s where we’re at. But the customer service was nice and very professional.

The Miracle-Ear rep saw that my hearing was bad so he recommendation my hearing aids. The model I got goes over and in the ear, and they work for me. People should go to the location I’ve been going because my rep has been really good with me. He takes time. However, my hearing aids stick out and someone can see my wire. But the rep said that’s because they put molds on mine, so I had to change my hairstyle. I’m also having a problem right now keeping the left one in my ear though. It keeps slipping out. The cost is pretty high too, but I paid about the same price as I did at my other place. But my hearing is doing better. I can tell a difference.

I had full hearing loss, but I wasn’t aware of how much until I got Miracle-Ear. But it’s considerably better now. I can hear things I didn’t know were making noise.

I would recommend Miracle-Ear to anybody. They did excellent with us. Best hearing aid test I've ever had. Keith's skills, the way he handled and took care of us, and made sure we understood what was going on, were awesome. We can hear what I'm talking about and hear everybody else and that's always a difference. We don't need the TV so loud anymore, too.

Miracle-Ear is the best-known, and I knew they would do a good quality job. They're well-known over the years. I got the most expensive hearing aid they had because it did all the things I wanted it to do. Customer service was absolutely phenomenal, and that was part of the reason that we chose Miracle-Ear because you get such good customer service. The lady that always is the receptionist there is so thorough and so compassionate. There’s an older man that’s extremely knowledgeable, knows what he’s doing, and we felt very good and confident when we purchased our Miracle-Ear from him. He’s phenomenal and a wonderful person. My Miracle-Ear has enriched my life. I wasn’t deaf. But I sing at church, and a lot of my activity is at church with a lot of people around me, and I need to hear the conversations. Before, unless they were directly at me, I couldn’t quite make out everything they were saying, and it’s cleared it up.

I had a different type of hearing aid for about seven years. I realized I needed to be re-examined and see if I needed another strength of hearing aid. Miracle-Ear was very good. I like the people and they were very friendly and informative. They had everything I would expect from a good service. The plastic cover that goes over the microphone when I insert it in my ear was too fragile, but the hearing aid was excellent.

I have partial hearing loss. It's not one with volume but there are certain tones I don't hear. I don't like hearing aids in general, but Miracle Ear is okay. I can hear fine now but they cost extremely high. Ever since I've got mine, I've seen a lot of these a lot cheaper. I'm satisfied with it, though.

I had 70% hearing loss and I bought a hearing aid from Miracle-Ear. They're a nationwide company. Also, when I was down in Florida this past winter, I had trouble and I went into the local Miracle-Ear facility. They took care of my hearing aid and they fixed it with no charge. They're great people and I love them. I got the behind the ear style which kinda worked for me. It's very comfortable, too. Once I got used to them, I don't even know I have them in. The price is also decent for the quality. All in all, I am very happy with it and now I can hear better. And it's gonna sound strange, but the other night, there were frogs chirping and without my hearing aid, I didn't even hear them.

My hearing was down to the point where working with my customer sometimes, I did not always totally understand what they were saying and had to interpolate by what I thought they might be saying to get directions through or wait until a complete conversation was going on. And then, “Oh, that’s what we’re talking about,” and then figure it out. So, I have better hearing at this point, but every once in a while, I still have to try to separate the background noise from what the conversation is. I can tell at different times, like just not being able to hear a complete conversation or listening on something, getting my age, and I can understand it better.
A number of years ago, I went with Southwest Hearing. And at the time, they said, “Your hearing is not that far gone.” But the aids I got were not picking up the additional losses I was hearing to the point that I lost the hearing aids and didn't realize I lost them until later on. I have done the same thing with the Miracle-Ear. I’ve paid for an additional hearing aid because I lost the left twice, because it came out of my ear. And I do moving around with pianos and stuff, and so I’d have my head up against them, and the little bulb on the end that you use to pull it out of your ear would catch on something. And I wouldn’t realize it right away because I was right up close to people and didn't realize it. And second time, I got another $1,000 into hearing aids that I was not happy with.
If one or both of my ears are not picking up everything, I have a harder time understanding a conversation. If the aids are not paired, then I only hear out of one or the other, and it makes it harder to understand. Also, the hearing-aids are designed so that they block out identical noise backgrounds. But sometimes they're not talking to one another and that would give a lot of extra white noise, but I haven't had that happen recently. Quality is good, and I don’t know that it could be any better. The one thing I miss is that I was using a Bluetooth with my cell phone prior to getting the hearing aids, and I could answer my phone by either saying, “Answer” or “Don’t.” But now I can’t do that. I have to actually hit my phone to answer it and then have it handy to talk, but with Bluetooth, I can hear it in my ears.
When I was talking to my counselor about things they were thinking about doing, and one of them was a software that was not designed by Miracle-Ear, and I tried using that at one time and I was not successful. It was just giving me more pain. And so, the counselor recommended just staying with the Miracle-Ear software. And with that, it has been regularly satisfactory. As I’m getting more acclimated to the hearing aids, it’s working better.

I had a hearing loss and I had an audiogram a couple years ago. Then, my hearing loss had gotten quite a bit worse. I could also tell I was losing some hearing and stuff in high ranges. I live in a community where there's a lot of older people and a lot of them have hearing aids. I chatted them up and tried to pick out a couple that were reliable. And Miracle-Ear was one of them. So, I made an appointment, had the audiogram, and the guy did an examination. He was very professional.
But the price kinda got to me. I knew they're expensive, but for the pair that I ended up getting cost $4,500 which is more or less average for a decent hearing aid. And I had no experience with hearing aids before, except I got that first audiogram a couple years ago. The examiner at the time didn't push it, but she mentioned the fact that I should have a hearing aid back then. And the type she recommended would be $5,200 for the pair. So, the price that Miracle-Ear's rep gave me was outrageous, but not out of the ballpark.
My wife and I talked about it before purchasing. We’re not wealthy, but we’re not poor. And I was missing a lot of stuff and watching TV was tough. So, we decided to go ahead and get the hearing aids. It took three weeks to get them in and the first time, I noticed that there was an improvement in my hearing. Even the way my own voice sounded was very different to me, but it’s not all roses.
Other than that, when I came in and picked up the hearing aids, the rep had it tuned up a little bit for whatever reason because they needed a little bit of adjustment. And I was impressed with the technology there. It was computerized and he could tell exactly where my weak or strong areas were. The guy had a really good knowledge of what he was doing. Then, he gave me some instructions on how to put them on. I’m 76 and not as bright as I used to be. And I had a little bit of trouble getting them on for the first week or so. But after that, it became just a matter of routine. Also, I wear eyeglasses and it’s extremely hard to keep the hearing aids back behind my ears. They keep popping out if I move the glasses around a little bit, so I find that to be annoying. I take them off if I don’t really need to use them but I'd end up wearing them five to eight hours a day altogether.
One time, I’ve had to call up the secretary there at the local office because one of the hearing aids went dead a week after I got them. She helped me out and it was just a matter of cleaning it, so that was easy to fix. Besides that, the audiologist is only at the Miracle-Ear office in Aiken, where I live, two days a week because he has another office in Augusta, Georgia. He goes back and forth. So, if I have a problem any particular day, I may not be able to get hold of him until three days later. But it’s not a big deal because it’s not life and death.

I'm very pleased with Miracle-Ear. Their place here in North Olmsted was very good. Both the doctor and the receptionist were very friendly, cordial, and eager to help. I went to Florida in early December and had to contact the Miracle-Ear down there just to get cleaning and dusting. I found their place there to be equally friendly and cordial. There have been no issues with the hearing aids. I just have to keep them clean, and I do that every day when I put them in.

We got advertisement in the mail. We checked it out, and the person who took my evaluation was very good so we went with Miracle-Ear. My wife thought I had a problem with my hearing. So, we went and there were some issues. We meet up every three months or as required. And the rep is there, she cleans up the hearing aids, checks it, and sends me on my way. Very polite and very friendly. She does an excellent job.
I already went through the basic hearing aids and had a newer one. So, now, I don't have any batteries with it. I just charge it up once a day. I saw on the internet or maybe in a magazine which seemed like the same thing that I got, and they're charging $400. So, cost-wise, mine seems very significant. I paid about 2000 minus the 3000 that insurance took over. But it seemed kind of excessive. If there’s more technology, what they described in their advertisement seemed to be the same. So, the only thing I can figure out is I do meet with a representative three times or four times a year, or more so whenever I need it. And maybe that’s why the product is a little more expensive.
I can hear better and I have control over it with the app. I can increase or decrease it. I can deal with the background noise and with other areas too using my app. So, that’s good. I’ve tried to recommend it to other people but they were more like, “No, too expensive, can’t afford it,” and stuff like that, even though I tell them, “You go there for free and they'll just check you out,” and they're very good technicians, they know what they're doing and they're very friendly. But other than that, I’m satisfied with the technician, and the service, and the product.

I have partial hearing and the higher tones is where I had issues. With hearing aids, I can hear better, especially when females speak to me because their voices are higher. I don’t have to repeat that much anymore, so my daughters are a lot happier. I like the fact that I don’t have to have the volume on the TV up as much as well. It’s really cool that it’s paired to my phone so I can use them for that and use them as headphones. The only thing I had difficulty with is I can’t pair two Apple devices to the headphones. I tried to pair my iPod and when I did that, I only got sound out of one ear then with my phone, I got the sound out of the other ear. It’s bizarre, but I can live with that.
Miracle Ear also offered $150 in free restaurant thing and they use that Restaurant.com card, but they don’t have a lot of choices. So far, I haven’t been able to use it. My hearing aids stopped a couple of times as well. I didn’t hear anything, but I cleaned them and that worked. The gentleman that I was seeing was excellent too. Unfortunately, I won’t be seeing him anymore because I moved. Everything has been great with them so I’ve been really happy.
