    I am very happy with Miracle-Ear. We went with them mostly because of what was on the paper and also because it was so handy for us. It's next door to the Randy’s Restaurant where we go a lot. I go to the one on Chaparral in Scottsdale, and Kristina, their rep, is very nice. I got the hearing aid that has the brown part that goes behind the ear. It's what Kristina recommended. I'm happy with my hearing aids. I hear much better with them on and I would recommend them.

    From Seatle, my wife and I moved 80 miles south to a little town called Shelton and there were no hearing aid companies there at that time. The nearest one was located in a Sears store in Olympia, Washington which was 30 miles away. That was the handiest one and that’s how I got hooked with Miracle-Ear. There is now a Miracle-Ear store that opened in our little town, but even though I could just drive down three-quarters of a mile and deal with the technician here, I still drive 30 miles to Olympia because they’ve been so good to me. I've been pleased with the technician who has always worked with me and with the owner of the store as well.

    I’ve had my hearing aids for so many years now and they've made me hear better. When I first went with Miracle-Ear, I only had one hearing aid. But as time went by and with repeated testing, the technician said that I needed two hearing aids. I refused to buy them and I continued with one. But she kept saying, “How are you ever going to tell which direction the bear is coming from that’s about to attack you if you can only hear from one side?” She finally convinced me about three years ago and I got one hearing aid for each ear and I’m very pleased with them. So far, my hearing should be perfect but due to this cold, I’m having trouble separating the words and asked people to speak slower.

    Overall, I found Miracle-Ear to be better than the two different types of hearing aids that I had when I lived in Seattle. My hearing wasn’t as bad back in those days. I started losing my hearing because of loud gunfire in the army and it’s gotten worse over the years. But as far as the hearing aids are concerned, I know little about any others and Miracle-Ear has been fine. My brother-in-law and a friend of ours have gone to Costco to buy their hearing aids and they’ve had a lot more trouble than I’ve ever had. I’m very satisfied and I will never change to another brand.

    I lost one of the hearing aids that I had and I saw in the newspaper that Miracle-Ear was having a small sale, so I went over there to check them out. Also, I wanted to try something different because the provider I had wasn't really the best. My Miracle-Ear hearing aids are very good. I can hear very well with them. The model number that I got is very nice and comfortable, and it fits behind my ear. The Miracle-Ear store I went to is a very wonderful place. The person that I had, who I call doctor, was very knowledgeable and he really ran through everything with me. They did a wonderful test on my ears. They did an excellent job overall. I've been over there numerous times where one of the hearing aids wasn't working right. They fixed it right away, right on the spot. So, I haven't had any problems at all with them.

    It was a personal recommendation from somebody that sent me to Miracle-Ear and on I went. It's been 10 years ago since I tried somebody else and a little over five years ago, I got the first set of hearing aids with Miracle-Ear. The difference in the technology was greater at the time. So, it was an advantage to wait the period of time that I did and get something that was much more suitable for my use at the time. I can hear a lot better now. I miss less stuff and I'm sure all the people around me appreciate that I'm not saying "What?" all the time.

    Also, I like talking to the lady that took care of me and I'm quite happy with their service. They've been very thorough and the testing is what helped the most and got me going with the product and with the service. I got the kind that inserts in the ear because it's less obvious and it doesn't get in the way. I tend to do a lot of things outside with firearms so anything that is outside of my ears and on my head tends to get bumped.

    The Miracle-Ear hearing aids definitely are an improvement over the old ones that I had. But they're never perfect and there are always problems. In fact, I go back to see the guy at Miracle-Ear at least every other week for some adjustments, changes and problems we've had with them. But because I have pretty severe hearing loss and they're doing all that can be done, I don't have any complaints about it.

    Their customer service people have been great to work with. They really bend over backwards to do whatever they can to straighten things out. One guy, Isaac, is very cooperative and works with me very well. Right now, my hearing aids are out. There was some problem with them that Isaac couldn't take care of in the store so he had to send them back to the factory to be reconditioned again. We started out with the hearing aids behind the ear that have the actual speaker in the ear. But it just wasn't powerful enough. Actually, it's what I'm wearing right now since this is what Isaac gave me to use while the others are back at the factory and they're terrible and just way too weak. So, we ended up going with the one behind the ear and the speaker is in the unit behind the ear. It feeds the sound to the tube into the ear. And it's the only one that seemed to be powerful enough for my problem. I would highly recommend them.

    I can hear better with my Miracle-Ear hearing aids which loop over my ear and then go into the canal. That was the only model that was suggested to me. My interactions with their sales and customer service teams have been fabulous. Their people were wonderful, caring and thorough. Miracle-Ear is the best but it's very expensive. Other people are going to Costco where they get the devices for a quarter of the price. But I have a payment arrangement with Miracle-Ear.

    I was thinking about getting a hearing aid when the mailer came. It was an ad for Miracle-Ear so the timing was just right. I went there and I usually look at a couple of different places but the guy was extremely helpful and I just trusted what he was doing so I went with them. The rep did a thorough assessment and he explained thoroughly how to use it and explained the assessment of my hearing. I like that they're always willing if I have a problem be it a cleaning problem or a battery problem, I can come in, they can fix it and the lady doesn't charge me. I got the smaller one which you don't see much. It fit me and my needs and that was suggested. It's behind the ear, very tiny and goes on top of the earlobe. It wasn't intrusive and you could use it with your smartphone.

    I went in to Miracle Ear for the check-up and found out I was practically stone-deaf. My wife read out ten words and I got one of the ten correctly. Then they made some adjustments after the test and put the headphones on me and tole me that was what I'd get with the hearing aids.. Then she read off ten different words and I got them all correct. I literally started to cry because we’ve been married 35 years and I could understand her crystal clear. I never realized how deaf I was.

    I got the over the ear model. They’re unobstrusive and so light it’s unbelievable. There’s so many different settings that could be made for them - one for church, one for TV, one for radio in the car, one for like a block out entirely of the background in the restaurant. It’s amazing. And they recommend that I don’t do the one that goes in the ear because my hearing loss doesn’t require that. I would notice things that I don’t want to notice like my heartbeat.

    The people up in the Miracle-Ear office have been wonderful. They’re friendly, and welcome me like I'm part of the family. I go in every four months and the hearing aids are cleaned and adjusted to what I need. It’s wonderful and worth spending the money and has completely changed my life. I also got a person who is deaf as a rock to go there. You can make fun of her and she doesn’t even know it. She went in for a test at Miracle-Ear, found out she was deaf, and got a pair of hearing aids.

    It was my husband that started with Miracle Ear and then that's when I started going there. They've been very courteous and the guy there has been very helpful and tries hard to get it adjusted right because I'm not that used to the hearing aids. They were very hard to adjust. I had to go in quite a bit there to have them adjusted at first because it was too loud, sort of an almost distorted and blurry sound, especially on the right ear. I also go in about every four months to clean my ear and clean if there's wax on the hearing aids and they put on a new plastic cover.

    But I'm not really too happy, particularly for a hearing aid in general. Sometimes on the phone, it’s blurry-like so it’s better without a hearing aid. So I take them off and hear clearer without them. Then, sometimes I would take them out when talking to people right up close because I could hear people better talking directly with my own ears. Then, it's hard to hear properly when there are other people talking and when there's any noise. I seem to get the noise more. It really increases the sound but it's just the sharpness of the sound somehow or the vibration. I prefer people talking louder without a hearing aid than less with a hearing aid. It also bothered me when we had the TV on, it would be loud at times and I would just take them out to cut down on that glary sound. I still have the little battery area over at my ear. But I pulled out the earplug a little bit, so I wouldn't hear it.

    Then, I've gone to the bathroom one time and as I leaned over, I dropped one hearing aid down in the toilet as I flushed. Miracle-Ear's fairly expensive and was almost $3,000 for the pair, with tax and everything. So, I got another one that was a lot less and closer and it's almost more comfortable. I had them adjusted quite a bit. So I have two different brands now because I didn’t want to pay that much for the one that got flushed down. Right now, two of the little plastic ends over the hearing part came off so I have to go when I'm over that area.

    Miracle-Ear had a special in the Des Moines paper. That's what brought me in although I ended up not getting the special. I got the over the ear model because I thought I could pass it on to my kids when I die. I'm comfortable with the service and I like their rep really well. She's good with me and very knowledgeable. I haven't had my hearing aids that long but I'm satisfied with it. It helps when I wear them but it doesn't help much for me to hear on the phone. I'm happy with them.

    I've been associated with people who have worn hearing aids and oftentimes I would hear horror stories from those that initially would hear just loud noise as opposed to clarity and definitive noises. I was in counseling the deaf so I know sign language and I was around lots of people with hearing aids and cochlear implants. So, I have knowledge of hearing and the things that it can and cannot do with the various devices. We were in the neighborhood and I was driving by Miracle'Ear's office in Austin and I decided to stop in. I went to another store for a time and didn’t get a very good service, so I came back to Miracle-Ear. I wanted hearing aids that met all of my needs by the separation of external noises from direct conversations, and Miracle-Ear has met these needs.

    The sales reps are very accommodating and I've had very few complaints that are easily remedied. Now I'm far more comfortable in groups so that I can hear what's going on in the conversations. I'm a social person and Miracle-Ear has allowed me to be gregarious as I truly am. Also, I've had people comment on how small my hearing aids are and people that have asked me questions. I was on a cruise ship off the coast of New Zealand when I had somebody ask me about my hearing aids, and they were debating on whether or not to get some themselves. They were able to have an intellectual conversation about the pros and cons of the various hearing aids that I have experienced.

    The only issues is that the Miracle-Ear hearings aids that I have are rechargeable. It's my second year now where the battery is beginning to wear and I'm just barely getting eight hours' worth of use out of them. Whereas before, I was getting 15 or 16 hours and I was hoping that that the hearing aids would keep me going. I have other regular batteries I can exchange in there so it's not a crisis, but I was waiting to my next appointment so I can discuss replacing these so that I can get additional hours.

    I went to three different hearing aid companies before I settled on Miracle-Ear. When I first got them, I was a professor teaching at the university and I told my students the very first day that I don’t hear that well so if they ask me a question and I'm ignoring them, they can assume I didn’t hear them and that they should wave their arm or something. Then about halfway through the semester, I said that I’m going to get my hearing checked and maybe get some hearing aids. And they applauded. They were really glad when I got these.

    I have the behind the ear model which was more expensive than the base model but I liked the idea of having customizable programs. I can set it to four different programs and raise or lower the volume. I have one program when I was in class, one when I was sitting in the office, one for watching television and one if I went to a loud restaurant. So that was a big benefit. The hearing aids made things a lot easier.

    Their sales and customer service teams are also wonderful. They call me and say it's time for me to come by and so they can look at the hearing aids, make sure they're cleaned up and tune them if neede. I liked the guy I was dealing with. He seemed like he was dedicated to making sure that the devices are set and tuned right so he had me come back for the next couple of weeks, hooked the gears up to the laptop and see what I was listening to and how loud things were. This was really the idea of good service after the sale. And so, I have recommended Miracle-Ear.

    Three stars because our experience is not over! My folks received a card in the mail with an offer stating 'no obligation' for a hearing test and ended up buying $10,000 worth of hearing aids! And they are not happy with them! Tomorrow I will go back with them and see if Miracle-Ear will refund the money, but my folks are so upset tonight. They are 87 and should not have been talked into this purchase. This just takes advantage of the elderly. If they give a refund tomorrow (or not), I will update this review.

    Miracle-Ear was handy. Their hearing aids have given me back my hearing that I didn't have because I only had it on one ear and at the time I thought it was sufficient but I needed both of them. When I went in their place, their people took the time and explained to me what’s happening.

    I ended up with two hearing aids. I had the in-the-ear model when I only had one hearing ear and it was like a plug in there. And when the batteries went dead I had worse time because I didn't hear anything then out of one ear. So I went in and told them that I would like to have an over the ear one. It sits up on top of the ear with the little wire that goes down in and it's more comfortable. Financially, it was a real struggle. I'm on a fixed income and Medicare and my private insurance doesn't pay for anything, but I’ve managed to overcome that.

    Mike from the Brainerd branch has been very good and explained everything that they're doing. The follow-up service has been excellent, too. So I’m very satisfied. Also, I have an appointment coming on the 21st and the secretary keeps track of that and calls me the night before so that really helps. Being a senior, I sometimes forget. I would definitely recommend Miracle-Ear.

    I've blended in now and I don't have to ask, "What did you say? What was that?" Now that I have Miracle-Ear, I can hear better than I did before. Their rep looks out for me and makes sure that they ask the right questions on what I'm dealing with. Then they make the adjustments accordingly after that. I'm very thankful that their customer service worked with me. I got their hearing aids that go behind the ear because it's cheaper. Then they called and asked me if I need to come back, which I did on the first of the month. They gave me the hearing test again to find out how I stood. One ear was worse than the other, so they made adjustments on that hearing aid. We do that once a year and I've had nothing but positive experiences with Miracle-Ear.

    I worked with Miracle-Ear 20 years ago as a telemarketer. I knew to talk to them about the hearing aids because my husband has had Miracle-Ear hearing aids since 1994. He has warranty on them. I did go to another provider and checked them out. I also went to the ear, nose, throat doctor and they had some available too. But when it came down to making my purchase, Fred, at Miracle Ear in Chattanooga, was very good to work with. I could come in and get adjustments or get them cleaned and I don’t have to pay $25 each time I come in and see him. Actually, we went in to get ours cleaned last week and found out Fred had left the week before. I was kinda lost there, but Barbara, a girl at Miracle Ear, took care of the cleaning and she did something else to one of my husband's. She’s very good, but Fred is very very very good.

    I got the behind the ear model with the little plastic tube that runs into the thing that goes into my ear because that's the kind that my husband has and I wanted it to not show up much. I'm 60, but I didn’t want a big old bulky thing on my head. They are comfortable to wear and I can hear and understand a lot better. I sometimes forget to put them in, but my husband never forgets because he’s practically deaf. I only have the one for the left ear and it’s only 30% loss, but I can hear things a lot better and I enjoy it.

    Miracle-Ear hooks the hearing aids up to the little computer and Fred can do different things with them, so they're a life saver. In my husband’s case, his hearing has gotten worse over the years and he has changed hearing aids and upgraded to the Genius. I also love the little app on the phone where I can change the settings for listening. It has different settings or different things I'm trying to hear and I can adjust it with the app. Like if my husband goes into a place like a theater that has some kind of special something, he can adjust something on his hearing aids with a little app. If he sits and talks to somebody and there’s a lot of noise around, he can make it to where the hearing aids only listen to what’s directly in front of him instead of picking up all the stuff behind him. And that's pretty cool.

    I already had some in-the-ear hearing aids before but it was only for one ear and I didn’t like it. They always had to be refitted and it just didn’t work so I hadn’t had a hearing aid for two years since my main damage is just in one ear. But, I went to this gentleman at Miracle-Ear and they had a nice program. I couldn’t believe that I could actually have them put in my ears and they worked. When I'm tested, I walk outside and the hearing aids worked and I got to wear them for 60 days without paying for them. I then went back, asked them for a deal, and I bought them.

    I'm getting all the updates I can from Miracle-Ear and I want them to make sure I get my checkups done and wherever I go to, they're checking on me all the time. I recommend them to everybody I see. In fact, they have given me a couple of my bonuses when I've gotten somebody else to come in and buy hearing aids from them. They’ve taken care of me and they do a great job. My experience with them couldn’t be better.

    Miracle-Ear had a promotion of a certain price so, I decided to check it out. I did compare prices and when I went to Miracle-Ear, I was very satisfied with the product so, I stuck with them. I got the one over the ear and then goes into the ear. It's small, convenient and it was easy to replace the battery. Also, their customer service staff and receptionist were great. The one that services my Miracle-Ear in Meriden every three months is super. He's very professional and I rate him a 10. Every time I go in, they take it apart, clean it out good and ask me how I'm doing and if there's something to be adjusted, they adjust it. I've had it for almost two years and it's great. I can hear better when other people talk and I usually have to turn my television way up but now, I don't have to. I would recommend this hearing aid to anyone.

    The people that run Miracle-Ear office out here are excellent. Tina is as knowledgeable as anybody that they have on staff anywhere and I would put her up against anyone. When I have an issue, I just set up an appointment, go in, and she takes care of it. I ask my questions, she asks me how I'm doing and makes adjustments to the hearing aids if I need them adjusted. I would love to have the in-the-ear out of sight hearing aid, but behind-the-ear is the only one I could afford. I had to send them back in once and she's replaced the receiver in both ears at least once. Other than that, hearing is a wonderful thing and I really like my hearing aids.

    I'm practically deaf in my left ear. A lady I know said her husband got the best care and attention when he went to Miracle-Ear rather than some of the other places he had gone to. The earpiece I'm using, which I got for its cost, goes behind my ear where it picks up the sound then sends it to the little piece that's stuck inside my ear. I'm comfortable going to them. I go for regular check-ups and from time to time, and if the earpiece goes on a fritz, I bring it to them and they clean it.     I was checking out different places to see and Miracle-Ear was the best. They really helped me and they were so kind and willing to work with me. Others always would be bothering me with phone calls or mass mailings, wondering what was going on. But the Miracle-Ear reps are not really bothering, just letting me know when my appointments are and if I have to reschedule, they don't charge on a schedule change.     The person at Miracle-Ear that takes care of me has been there 100%. She's been very kind, understanding and nice. She shows how the hearing aid works. I go back at certain times and she cleans them and gives me a free hearing test. I got the design that's in my ear. I like it. Nobody would know that this thing was in my ear and I'm not ashamed that it's there. I don't have to adjust the hearing aid because it adjusts by itself. I can go in a room with a lot of people talking, go to church and stay there for a few minutes and everything will level out. The hearing aid won't overpower me, and I could charge it fast, too.

    I purchased a Genius hearing aid for 5000.00 with a three year guarantee. It started giving me trouble after 10 months. Could not hear anyone 2 feet away, would not allow conversation from one room to the next. Technician was very helpful in trying to fix problem but to no avail. Decision was made to send unit to whoever makes Miracle aid (starkey- I think). It is now three weeks since mailing and still no response. I have worn hearing aids for 40 years and this is the first bad experience of a new aid.

    UPDATED ON 03/03/2017: I am responding to Miracle ear. The technician informed me of return of aid. Suggestion was that was good and user was in error. A suggestion was to eliminate direction phase of unit so only surround sound is utilized. This has helped a great deal. It was a good suggestion. I can now hear in all situations. But must adjust sound level at times.

    I had surgery on my ear about three times and it got worst each time. So when my friend, who was really pleased with Miracle-Ear, told me about it, I decided to there too. I was pleased with the way they treated me. They fitted a hearing aid in the ear that I had surgery in, but it was a big bulky one. And when I upgraded, Sheryl, the rep, suggested that I get one for the other ea, too. So I got another one and I couldn't believe the difference. It was just wonderful. She wanted me to come back in a week to check it out and see how it was doing, but I couldn't wait the week. I went back that day and told her how much better it was.

    In fact, when I went to Walmart and I was standing there, I actually thought somebody was talking to me but they were in the other aisle talking to somebody else. Also, the people that I work with don't even know I wear them. It's discreet and comfortable, too.     I have a problem with hearing so I thought I'd go to Miracle-Ear. And they had a good deal in the paper at the time but I ended up getting something that cost me a little bit more. The rep there told me what I needed and said, "You’re better off with this product here." And then I took it. I got the one that goes behind the ear and the other part is in the ear. I can hardly notice it and it has a button where I could hear a tone. It says if you're in a noisy place you put it in this setting. Now, I know I can hear a little better if I got the hearing aids up. However, I don't wear them all the time. But the product seems to be okay and the service is good, too. Their staff are great and the doctors are very courteous and they care when I go there. They clean the hearing aids and help to change the battery if I need it.     I've worked for the railroad in a shock environment since '73 and had a lot of hearing loss. After looking at information, I decided to go in and check with Miracle-Ear. They've impacted my life in a very good way. When I put the hearing aids in and walk outside, I go “what's that noise?” and stop for a moment and think those are birds chirping. I haven't heard in a while. I didn't even realize I haven't been hearing that before. When family members talk, I'm not constantly saying "what did you say?" or misinterpreting like when they say something like “get your hat” and I thought they said to get the bat. It's been an improvement.

    I tried other hearing aids from other competitors, but didn't like what they did so I looked in the telephone directory and went by Miracle-Ear. I like the way they tested me and tried to fix my hearing. But my hearing's so bad I don't think they're gonna be able to get it to where I can hear. In fact I just sent back my hearing aids today. I have a problem when there's a lot of people talking. When my wife, son and I were in the restaurant, it was hard to hear what people were saying at the table. I know I have the ability to turn some of the sounds off but it's hard.

    The hearing aid helps and if I don't have them, I'm in a worse shape. But I'm in a bad situation because I've had about six strokes and I can't drive. So I just use what I got and let it go, because I've got to depend on other people to take me to Miracle-Ear. And the man I generally talk to at Miracle-Ear is very knowledgeable and I like how he tries to explain and take care of me. Of the other four people I had used before, none were like that. I'd recommend Miracle-Ear.

    I got Meniere's and I've been having hearing loss. At first, I went to RadioShack and got an amplifier. After about a year, that died. Somebody told us of Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids. So, I set up an appointment with them and went in. I felt like there was no pressure. Their rep didn't try to sell me two hearing aids. He only sold me what I really needed. He put me in the sound booth, and he went through the tests and said that I just need one hearing aid in my bad ear. He went through it and put the hearing aid in and did the amplification. I always thought I needed a hearing aid for my left ear, which is my good ear, but I actually needed it for the right ear.

    Once he put the hearing aid in and went through the different sounds and changed the amplification, it was pure music after that. I was very happy. It's totally different if I have it in. I can hear better and I don't feel like I'm not part of the conversation, especially when I go in the lobby areas and all the people are talking. I've done the follow-up appointments too because he wants to clean it and wants to make sure it's working correctly. Overall, I like the quality of the hearing aid. I was a little apprehensive at first when he was putting it in, taking it out, and they had that wire that's actually encased in plastic. That was one of my apprehensions when I went for a followup. I was afraid I was going to break the wire. However, the quality of the hearing versus some of the other ones was just far superior. So, it put me at ease spending the $3,000 on the hearing aids that I knew wasn't going to be a piece of junk in six months.

    My experience with Miracle-Ear has always been outstanding. I can hear now and I've been in great shape ever since I bought a couple of hearing aids from them. Luckily, I'm a veteran and eventually I got into the system. I have hearing aids from the VA but Miracle-Ear takes care of me as far as the cleaning and fitting.     One day, my daughter and I were going to the post office in Temple and we had to go across the bridge to cross this railroad track. There was a train going on to us and I didn't say anything. It's a good thing I have someone come and clean the hearing aids and encourage me to plug my ears and remember not to sleep with them or shower with them.     I went to an ear specialist and they told me that I needed hearing aids. So I called my dad and asked him to go with me to pick some out.     I was having hearing problems and the problem wasn't the volume more than the clarity. For example, when someone is speaking and says the word "boy," it may sound like "toy" to me. The ear pieces that I received from Miracle-Ear allows me to be able to hear clearly. It sounds like what the people are really saying which was important. Even the volume is great and Miracle-Ear worked really well for me. I wear two of the earpieces and I've had mine for more than three years.

    When I first met my fiancée, we were on the phone and were talking. I was expressing some problems before I went back and talked with the Miracle-Ear doctors for the ear piece. It bothered me that I couldn't hear what she was saying. I really liked her and I didn't want to lose her. But I went and I told the doctors what was going on and they adjusted it. When they were through with the adjustments, everything was beautiful. I was able to talk to my fiancée over the phone and I didn't have those problems anymore. Whenever things happen, they tell me to immediately call them and they'll take care of the problem. When I don't know what to do, I call them and they'll schedule an immediate appointment and I go out there. Along with the device itself, the customer service is pretty good too.

    Day-by-day, month-by-month, I continue to learn more things about it. Recently I learned that if I'm having problems, sometimes I will always adjust it and do it more often. I picked up a radio phone that's like on the bus that I work on and they were speaking and it wasn't coming in clear. But one day I took the ear piece out 'cause I had to change batteries and I put the phone onto my ear without the ear piece and I was still able to hear so I don't know if Miracle-Ear is causing my ear to get better.

    I had a problem hearing so I went to Miracle-Ear and they were nice and informative. I had three representatives but they were all good. I book my appointments when needed, and when I have to go there and I don't have an appointment, I have to wait for a while but I'm usually seen. If I could afford the small one that I could put with my phone, I would have gotten that. But my in-ear model is very comfortable, it works fine for me, and I'm satisfied with it. Without it, I wouldn't be able to hear clearly. I have recommended Miracle-Ear.

    I got a Miracle-Ear hearing aid years back at Sears. I had it for 13 years and it finally died on me. Then I found out that they were no longer at Sears and moved to Salida so I went over there. When I walked in, I felt like I've known them for years. They went way and above the call of duty and were so wonderful.     My mother and other family members have tried other brands but they liked Miracle-Ear the best. I've had my hearing aids since 2008. I have no normal hearing left but I'm not so impaired that I need my whole canal blocked. I'm a chaplain and I wouldn't be able to hear what people are saying without it. In January, I went to Miracle-Ear with my mother to get our service done at one time, but there was some kind of family emergency with the audiologist. So the new audiologist who just got certified made some adjustments for me and it was horrendous. So I came back and forth in the office that day. I got there at nine and it was 1:30 or so before we were done because she didn't know what she was doing. It wasn't working so she had to make calls to get help. I'd explain what was going on with it and they weren't communicating with each other. It squealed every few seconds and she couldn't really get them fixed.

    I always had good luck with the audiologist but this was terrible. And when I was starting to get a little bit intense because of what's going on, she was just making motions with her hand like, "come on, bring it down, bring it down." I'm like, "Okay, don't do that to me." To me that wasn't courteous. And I didn't enjoy that. I'm really feeling anxious because I gotta have this so I can hear. So that was a tough one.

    I've had no problem with the other audiologists, just this person. She has an abrasive personality and needed more training before she was put out there. But the next time I went in, they made her the main audiologist and do my hearing test, so I said, "No, I don't think so. Because she's not qualified.” And I had my files transferred from Fairborn to Springfield because I'm not dealing with that. I'm so dependent on my hearing aids and I cannot afford to have somebody who doesn't know what they're doing because I went through three weeks of hearing hell after the change.

    I went up to Springfield, and Jessica is my audiologist up there. I had her before in Fairborn and she knew what to do and what I needed. I'm really good now that she's adjusted my hearing aids. Miracle-Ear can't put somebody out there that's brand new that doesn't have any empathy for people to do this. It’s gonna cause people to walk away. But other than that, it's been a very helpful experience and I really enjoy knowing that Miracle-Ear is improving its technology all the time. I've had two sets of Miracle-Ears now. The first one was good, but the second one was even better. I'm imagining that the third one will be great. So I intend to stay using Miracle-Ear.

    Miracle-Ear offered a free hearing aid test. They weren't pushy but there the guy, who I guess was the leader of that crew, kept on pushing me and he said to me "I'll give them to you for $5000 instead of $5800." And I'm saying to myself, "Holy crap." I didn't think my ears were that bad but when the doctor told me that I lost all my hearing, I was a little taken back by it because I could not tell the difference. They claim that I needed the hearing aids, but I didn't feel as though I did. It cost me over $5000 and I spent what I didn't want to spend. They tell me it's almost $6000 good group of hearing aids and I said, "Okay, I believe you."

    But now, as I see Miracle-Ear advertising in the papers, saying that we can get them for $895, I said, "Why the hell did I pay $5000 like an idiot?" $5000 was stolen from me. So I talk to a lot of people and probably just told them not to jump at what the people from Miracle-Ear say and that they should then go for a second opinion. I should have never bought it. I should have waited and got a second opinion.

    My hearing wasn't really bad but in certain occasion my wife told me that maybe I need to check my hearing. And by chance, I received a letter from Miracle-Ear and I said, "Let me go and check." They found out that I have some hearing problem. Initially, I met the senior person that work with Miracle-Ear and he was knowledgeable about hearing and we discussed it in length.     In the 80's I had TMJ really bad and I knew I had a hearing loss. But when I had it checked that time they said, it's not really bad enough for a hearing aid but it's from my TMJ. It progressed and I had a really profound hearing loss in my left ear and a mild one in my right ear. I read about Miracle-Ear in the paper, so I called them and made an appointment.

    The representative explained the mechanics of the hearing aid and how our brain has to be retrained when we get hearing aids which I found fascinating. And the first time after I had my hearing test, she put the hearing aids in my ear and I can't believe it. It was like, "Oh my gosh." I hear things that I didn't know made a noise. I had them about two weeks. And I was home alone and I was sitting in my kitchen reading the paper and I kept hearing this kicking sound and I thought the faucet was dripping. It was the clock on the wall. I didn't know it made a noise. And there were other things that make a noise that I never realized that they did. It's like I've re-awakened myself.

    They've always been very good too with check-ups. I was having problems with my left hearing aid last summer and I called. I foolishly wore my hearing aids out when I was working in the yard and I sweated a lot and it damaged the battery. I didn't realize I shouldn't do that. So they replaced the battery and it worked fine. It's been a really good experience with Miracle-Ear.

    I've had my Miracle-Ear hearing aids for a few years and I wear them because I have some deficit in hearing. But I don't particularly like them because some noises are too loud and screech in my ear, and this bothers me more than not having them in. The style I went with had a little tube that fit into the ear and there's the thing over the back of the ear. By and large, it's been fine with Miracle-Ear. The gentleman that worked with me was very good, nice, and easy to talk with, and he understood things. But right now he's retired, and there's another gentleman that has taken his place who is very nice as well.

    I'm retired and I knew that I was losing hearing, so I stopped in at Miracle-Ear. Now I hear my wife a lot better and that's a big deal. And I play in a band and now I can hear what the director wants to play next instead of going, "Huh?" I have a program in there for just hearing what's in front of me.     Miracle-Ear's people are super. I just go in every couple of weeks and have my hearing aids cleaned out. They've been good with scheduling and rescheduling as well as checking up when the batteries were going down. Their rep carries on the conversations and diagnoses how it's going. Recently, on the telephone if I don't have my hearing aid positioned just right, I have to ask people to speak it up. But everything's been great. I had gone to another company for years and my insurance changed, so that's what brought me the Miracle-Ear and the device works well.     I originally was with another hearing aid provider. I inadvertently destroyed one of them because I had set it on my TV stand while I was eating walnuts and grabbed that instead and bit into it.     I had a set of hearing aids but my wife had been talking about Miracle-Ear, and they offer free testing so we went there. We started in Cedar Rapids but they opened an office in North Liberty which is about half the distance otherwise. So, we moved there and we like the staff there as well as we did in Cedar Rapids. To some degree, my Miracle-Ear hearing aids increased my productivity. I’m thankful that my hearing is not completely gone but it’s very easy to miss things. If people were soft-spoken, I either had to be very close to them to pick up most of what they’re saying or ask them to repeat it. The hearing aids eliminated a fair amount of that.     My Miracle-Ear hearing aids are okay but I have some complaints at times. They just stop working and I play around with it to activate it again. I talked to the technician about that but they denied it. But the technicians are generally very accommodating. They're very attentive and take care of me. They want to make sure my hearing aids are clean and work right. They try to answer my questions. I had a little problem with it a year ago and when I went down to the Miracle-Ear center, they were very helpful. Their rep tried to sell me a new set of hearing aids and they always do that but I didn't need to pay another five grand.

    I read about Miracle-Ear in the paper, and seen the ads quite a few times and I was kind of impressed. So I called and made an appointment. I was very impressed with the lady that I had. My son was with me that day, so we just went ahead and got them that day. The procedure was very simple. I've been going to the same lady all the time and got to know her really well. It's been a very nice relationship. The hearing aids that I have goes in my ear and then it goes up behind my ear and the little things goes up behind my ear. They have a little watch you put them in and it charges when you're not using them. It's been great. Its been over a year and I'm getting worried that the batteries are gone down, but I don't notice it yet.     I haven't liked the Miracle-Ear devices from the beginning because I wear glasses. They may have bettered my hearing for a while, but all the time when I take my glasses off the hearing aids fall at the back of my ears. When I originally went to them, they told me I can't hear in my left ear. One of the fellas at Miracle-Ear had the devices in my left ear and had it working good for me. That fella has died. I went back, another fella changed the hearing aids around, and I can't hear anything. That recent fella learned that they overpowered the devices, but I feel I don't have enough power now.     I've been using my Miracle-Ear hearing aid for at least a year now. Everything works well however, I have one problem. My hearing in the high frequency is not really good because I was working in the steel industry but it’s a part of the system. I still hear pretty good except in noisy environments, like in a restaurant. I still have the same problem that I had before that sometimes I cannot understand the person who is sitting maybe three feet away from me.

    I mentioned that already to Mike, the technician who is adjusting it. And he is doing a good job but I have a feeling he cannot compensate for that problem. Because for whatever reason, the Miracle-Ear does not compensate for the surrounding noise. I didn’t understand sometimes the conversations on television, because the music was most of the time too loud. Also, I have in the moment three adjustments to do that with them, and it doesn’t change it. I still don’t hear people in a certain frequency range they are talking. But I would recommend Miracle-Ear without any problems because it’s a good service and it’s a good unit. And I have a problem that might be different with what other people have. But I have to talk to the Miracle-Ear representative if they can have a little wireless unit that I could set on the table to focus straight on the person I’m talking to and have that transferred to my hearing aid.

    My hearing was diminishing. One ear is way gone that I wouldn't understand anything. However, we have a problem in the state where if you have hearing loss due to your job, they send you to a state recognized place to get your hearing aids and you get what they decide to give you. I defied that to find someone who is really happy with their hearing aids. I originally went to an independent outfit and this company brought some girl in, and they played with in-the-ear aids a couple of times. Miracle-Ear came up with this behind-the-ear model and people I talked to who've had them said it's the only way to go. With Miracle-Ear, my hearing is now coming back. It's worth keeping.     I hear better with the hearing aids. When I take them off, I can tell the difference. My husband goes in with me when I go to the store and one time when a salesman asked me about the hearing aid, I told the salesman I have it so that I can turn down the TV volume to walk in the house because I can't stand the TV. The salesman looked at my husband and said, "So somebody else has a hearing problem." My husband said he can't afford the hearing aids and Miracle-Ear made him a deal enough where he couldn't refuse. My husband now has hearing aids in both ears. So we're happy.

    The only problem I have is if I'm sitting in the back seat and I got two women in the front seat talking, I still can understand what they're saying. The Miracle-Ear rep has tried helping me so it only takes what's out in front and not at the back because a lot of times I get a lot of road noise.     I had a different set of hearing aids before but it didn’t work out. It was exorbitantly expensive but performed very poorly so it was a bad experience. I had waited a little bit then saw Miracle-Ear and gave it a shot. And so far, it’s been working out pretty good.     I have been a customer of ME for over 12 years. I have had several aids as my hearing has gotten worse. The newest set was in Dec. 2016. It was the most powerful that they made - behind the ear. The cost was well over $4000. When they work they do a great job. The problem is that one or both have been in "their shop" over 15% of the time that I had them. I find that the quality of the product from them has deteriorated significantly. This is to the point that I cannot suggest to anyone, even an enemy, that they use Miracle-Ear. They keep sending me a different aid but it does not last long. For the cost they are far below expectations. Anyone reading this should give careful consideration before purchasing their product. This truly pains me to say this as I used to be proud of my hearing aids.

    Miracle-Ear was next to my daughter's office so we went down and talk to the people there and they've been very nice. They explained everything to me and gave me the exam. I never thought I'd like them but when I can't hear, I got to put up with it. I got the big one that fits all the way inside. I have a bad right hand and I can't feel to put it in, so I have to use my left hand to put in the right ear. Now, I can hear everything and I'm happy with them.     My grandmother back in the 60's had Miracle Hearing Aid. They’re something different back then but I've never heard anything that wasn't good about them over the years, so I decided I'd try them first. I like the person where I bought my hearing aids very much. She does a nice job. With my hearing aid I can hear a lot better than I could before. I work from a desk down at Wilson Hospital and I can hear people much clearer. The only thing is that I have some wax build up and putting the hearing aid in possibly makes it plug up quicker. Right now I can't hear anything out of that ear even when my hearing aid is in, and if I could get that one ear unplugged it'd be better. Overall I have recommended Miracle-Ear to a couple of people and they've both gotten them.

    Miracle-Ear had a little kiosk at Walmart and after I got started they went ahead and got themselves a regular office. Their office is about a mile or two closer to my house so that worked out great. A lot of times I just walk in off the street and they wait until the next person is out and they take me in and take care of me, so I'm 100% satisfied. They do a great job. I got the hearing aid that goes in the canal since the more power I need the bigger the hearing aid. If I need a lot of power I have to have the hearing aid behind the ear with a big battery and big mother board, and I'm at a stage where I could wear it in the ear. I can hear better with it, but all hearing aids amplify noise and sometimes I don't do that well with conversations. I'm 88 years old and some restaurants play funky music way too loud and I can't hear the people across the table. Miracle-Ear could do better with the human voice but my hearing is a lot better than without them.

    Miracle-Ear has been okay. However, it is very distressing that they keep mailing indications that they can upgrade my hearing aids without telling me specifically what they're talking about. It's very frustrating because I don't know what is new and what isn't. It's not fair to a customer to keep telling them that they're out of date. My hearing aids are only a couple of years old and it doesn't seem that it's been improved on in two years. I can't wait until my next appointment to ask the audiologist what his opinion is. The last time I did that he said there's no difference. But I don't know if that's still true or not because that was several years ago.     We're very pleased with our experience with the Miracle-Ear ear specialist and his assistant. My mother had previously gotten hearing aids from one of Miracle-Ear's competitors but she had a really unpleasant experience with them. She paid much more money and she had problems from the onset particularly because they were very small hearing aids that fits into the cavity of the ear. The batteries didn't last long which was the first issue.     I tried Avada but it didn't seem to work so I tried Miracle-Ear. I got the one that goes around my ear and sticks in. It's got a hole in it so I won't get an ear infection because air gets in. However, Miracle-Ear has not affected my life as much as I wanted it to. It's hard for me to hear in crowds because the hearing aid is like a loud speaker. It enhances everything. So it's hard if I talk to somebody in front of me. I have to read their lips a lot of times and I don't hear my wife a lot here at home. It's helpful a little but not really great. My hearing is so bad. I've worked in a metal stamping department and loud noises and the hearing aids won't gonna help my hearing.

    But the service and everything is excellent. The people are very, very helpful and they tried to do everything they can for me. I go over their store every three months and they clean the hearing aids and put it back on but I don't think they can adjust it to my hearing. I wish they could invent something to get into my ear to make the channels work again and they told me they're working on it.

    I heard that Miracle Ear was a very good unit and that we had one locally where we live. So, I went to get a hearing test to see how that works and see what they thought. I got a hearing aid form them that goes into the hear, and the pick up piece is behind the ear since it was less intrusive. So far, it has improved my hearing considerably. Their rep was usually very cooperative. He checks everything out and goes a little above and beyond what's normally expected. However, one of my biggest problems is the cost and the fact that they want me to renew at an outrageous price. A few years down the road they think that I should upgrade because of technology, but another $6,000 is nuts. Nevertheless, they did excellent follow up and service. I've already recommended people to them and had some buy from them too.

    My Miracle-Ear hearing aids have made my life a lot more clear. I've had three different sets and each one has been bigger and better. One of them had a little accident when my dog ate it so I had some new ones then. Right now I have the model that goes behind the ear with just the little plastic thing inside the ear, then a piece that is supporting that goes inside and goes around in the ear. The first ones I got were completely inside the ear but I like these better. They seem to stay in the right place. However, I have to always remember to take them out before going into a pool. One time I forgot to take them out before going in and they didn't do too well in the pool. The reps I dealt with have been very easy to talk to, answered questions for me and were very good. I had the best experience wiith Miracle-Ear. I'm glad that I went there in the beginning and I never thought about going anywhere else.

    I live at Smith Crossing and a Miracle-Ear rep came one day to do testing. I don't have a great hearing loss but I know that it's good to try to take care of it when you can before it gets real bad. So far, I've been very pleased with my hearing aids and one thing that I liked about my particular model is that I have a special setting on it for my tinnitus. It also has rechargeable batteries which are really nice. I plug it in at night and they last about 12 hours which is usually enough to get through a day. The hearing aids are very good with the telephone, too. Also, there's a new gal that comes to the Smith Crossing and she said they'll place a little protectors wax on the hearing aids that help to hold them in place. So whenever I need that she'll check it.

    Other people that have dealt with Miracle-Ear and had a good experience with them in the past gave me some referral. The reps were very friendly and efficient. They've always been very polite, nice and I don't have to wait long when I go to their store. I'm in and out pretty quick. Sometimes I still have a little problem understanding people. My audiologist also figured it's the style that'd be good for me. I'm on my second set now of hearing aids with Miracle-Ear.     I’ve heard of Miracle-Ear for a long time, and when I started needing a hearing aid, there was a Miracle-Ear down the street from me and I thought since I knew that name I’d go there.     Over the years, I used to drive a forklift a lot and the noise from that didn’t help my ears. I was nervous and having trouble hearing things. I went and took a test and Sarah, the rep at Miracle-Ear said I needed a hearing aid. She took care of that and I’m happy with them. Sarah's a very good person. She knows what she’s doing and she has helped me out quite a bit with them. When I’ve gone up to her she’s very thorough in her examinations and when I’ve had a question she’d answer them. She also seems like she's in no hurry.

    I asked her about the hearing aids that I could push into my ear and she said that wouldn’t help me. My hearing is a little bit worse than that, so I got the one that hooks over the ear and goes in. I wear them to work and I leave them in during the evening when I’m watching TV. When I go to bed I take them out. The hearing aid has helped a lot. I could hear people at work now and while watching TV, I don’t have to have the TV up real loud. Before I used to have it up around 15, 16. When I have my hearing aids in I have it at about a seven now. I’d recommend them. If I knew anybody who need hearing aids, I’d tell them to go to get a Miracle-Ear.

    The people at Miracle-Ear who sold the hearing aids to me are very good at what they do and they know what they're doing. They're great people and I really like them. They service my hearing aids and I buy my batteries from them. However, I'm not real happy with it. I don't hear as well as I think I should for what I paid for the hearings aids. My hearing aid fits over the ear and has a little wire that fits next to ear drum. They did a pretty good job of selling it to me because it has Bluetooth. It was supposed to be able to hook up to the TV and the phone in the car, but I don't use that since it's too cumbersome. That was a bad choice on my part because I thought it would do more than what it does. I still have a hard time hearing, especially my wife when she's off to the right of me. When I sit and watch TV and I put it on a number 3 and it doesn't seem to change anything.

    The people from Miracle-Ear that work here are also not here all the time. They're only here every other week, so if I have problems on a Monday and they were here just last Thursday, I won't see them for two weeks. I live in Miles City, Montana and their main office is in Billings. That's 142 miles away from here, so I'm not going to drive to Billings just to get my hearing aids checked. I wished they had an office here that was open five days a week, every week. Also, I keep getting pieces in the mail wanting me to upgrade to another brand new technology, and that turns me off.     I got a card in the mail about Miracle-Ear which came at the right time and their store is convenient for me so I decided to go with them. It has changed my life quite a bit. I can hear a lot better now and I know what's going on in the world. I got the one which wraps up over the ear because I have a bad right hand and that worked the best for me but I don't notice it. A lot of times I get in the shower and forget I got them in which is not good.     Miracle-Ear has helped me on my hearing. I had very bad hearing from where I worked at and was almost deaf. People kept telling me I was practically deaf, and my kids would get very upset when I have to have them repeat what they say because I have to watch their lips to see what they were saying. That's how bad it got. Then I was going back to school so I had to get something so I can hear.

    I got my first Miracle-Ear hearing aids back in 2003. I enjoyed them that they had gotten to a point where they were turned up as high as they could go. I now have the ones that didn't fit in the ear where they can't be seen. And the store that I go to is far away, in Rock Hill, but I enjoy it. I like the team that's up there.     I had a very bad experience with another hearing aid provider. I got a terrible thing put in my ear and I couldn't even get it in and it was so heavy. It was a disaster that cost me $400 to take back. Miracle-Ear did much better and I was very pleased with the service I got from Mike, who has been very courteous and nice to me. I don't enjoy using my hearing aid since it tickles and I need some new little things that go into my ear. I was up in Hudson before I went home last year, and the rep put some new things on it to make it stay in my ear and they weren't right. I had to come in down here and get them fixed.     I've heard about Miracle-Ear for years and when I finally needed hearing aids, I told myself I'm going to them. I’ve always liked the way they advertised the hearing aids and their people were very considerate. They always call after my appointment to make sure everything was okay after I had seen them.     Everybody was pestering me to get the hearing aids. So I went to the Miracle-Ear store with my wife. When they gave me a test, they hooked me up to the machine and the difference was incredible. I expected bionic ears for the cost but it's a slow process. However, I assume it's working well. I used to shout at everybody I was talking to but now I talk low and my wife is the one that's doing the shouting. I think she could use hearing aids but she says she has no problem hearing. She also likes to keep the TV loud while I like it down low now.

    Comfort-wise, I do have problems with my behind the ear hearing aids. One of my ears is always itching and hurting. Also, at times I get a callous so at the end of the day I take the hearing aids off because they're uncomfortable. But still, I liked everybody that I've dealt with at Miracle-Ear, and I'm happy and completely satisfied with my hearing aids. They gave me a great experience so I like to keep on dealing with them. However, I wish they were a little cheaper. I lost one of them and my insurance replaced it. But I quit wearing them when I'm doing a lot of stuff because I'm afraid I'll lose them again. But if I have to replace them, then I will be going without because I can't afford to do it again.

    I was looking for something and my son and I had been talking about me not hearing real good. He said, “Why don’t you get a hearing aid, mom?" I told him I can't afford it. He told me we can go and have me tested then we’ll decide what to do from there. So we went and had a test and he decided I had to figure out how I could buy some hearing aids. I took a payment plan with a company Miracle-Ear recommended.

    Since having Miracle Ear, I’m hearing things I haven’t heard for 10 years. When I go in a restaurant, the culinary noise is absolutely terrible. I wear them sometimes to listen to television, sometimes I don’t. Also, if music is real loud, I might take them out at that point. But all in all, I’ve heard birds chirp. The other day I went out and snow was hitting the side of the building a little bit and I haven’t heard that sound for a long time, like when I have the blinkers going on in the car. It’s amazing what I can hear.

    I have rechargeable batteries but after about a month, they wouldn’t charge. I went back and they put new batteries in. They worked for a while and then it wouldn’t charge so I went back again. They put new batteries and it charged. Then it got to where one would charge and one wouldn’t. I asked them, “Could it be the hearing aid?” “No, no. It had to be the batteries. It couldn’t be the machine that charged them." So we put another battery and it went for three weeks and then it wouldn’t work again. Finally, my warranty ran out on my charger on Monday of this week and they told me that if it didn’t work, bring it back. It is working so I didn’t go back but I let him know I was ready to kick the bucket. I have an appointment to see them next month, middle of January. Hopefully, my hearing aids will be working.

    Also, I misunderstood them. As I paid my payments by the due date there wasn’t any interest but I kept finding that I would get interest added to it for what amount I hadn’t paid. I said, “No, no, no, no. That’s not gonna work.” I called my cousin’s wife who ran the credit union and said, “Come on. You got to help me with this.” She figured out a way that I could take and borrow the money for three years. As long as I could have the money to back it up, it would be a share loan. My son helped me back up the money and I got a share loan and got a 2.5% interest rate for three years. My son has also found out since that there are other places in town in Bangor that I could’ve got my hearing aids for less money. But I said, “That doesn’t matter. I have to be comfortable,” which I am with Miracle-Ear. I would never change unless I had major problems.

    But overall I have been very satisfied and happy with the service they have provided me. They have not got angry at me, they made suggestions and I’ve tried to follow them. But like I told them, I don’t like having to put a battery in every week because my fingers are not nimble. I’m an old lady and I really wanted the charger to work and they do solve the problem timely and have gone out of their way to help me.

    Miracle-Ear had an offer then that if we buy one hearing aid, we get the second one at half price so we purchased from them. With the hearing aids, now, I don't have to have the TV up really loud. I run a daycare and it was getting harder to hear the kids talking, and so it's really helped with my job. I got the one behind the ear as recommended by their rep. It seemed to fit better in my ear and it was within my price range. She's got the one that fits in the ear and it has the little tiny wires and because her ear canal is different they had to custom fit that. We see Miracle-Ear people in Duluth, Minnesota where she got the hearing aids that she had, and down here in Sun City, Arizona. We feel that we're getting much better service down here in Arizona than we do in Minnesota. The people here seem to have more experience. The people in Minnesota are like trainees or just haven't been at it as many years.     I had hearing aids from a clinic and their service was so-so. I wasn't satisfied with what I was getting so I tried Miracle-Ear and I've been extremely satisfied. I have the Behind-The-Ear style and I was worried when I first got it for fear that I would knock it out, which I had done with another one that I tried from a clinic. But he lost the pair right after the warranty ran out on them so we had to buy a new one. The second pair wasn't as good for him as the first pair was.     When it was time to get hearing aids, I automatically chose them. I was familiar with the brand, they were conveniently located in the store where I worked and I knew that I’d be able to get continued service in town and not suddenly find them gone. I chose Miracle-Ear too for the product they have, choices, and their service. I have a very good relationship with the Miracle-Ear people that I deal with. Doreen has been trained well and knows all the answers to the questions I might have.     I had a hearing check at Miracle-Ear because I thought I was having problems. Their facility was very convenient. I've had two different hearing aids that I wasn't too thrilled with because they were uncomfortable. It wasn't really working. I always felt like everything was underwater and muffled. In the last pair that I had, there was something defective with it. I thought it was just my ears doing something because it was working, and then all of a sudden, it went dead. Miracle-Ear was very diligent with me and I do appreciate what they did. That's how they got this new pair for me. Their staff Tracy suggested this new pair.     Miracle-Ear was in the local mall where I shop and they seemed pleasant enough to work with. I'm on my third set now, and I've got the one that fits behind the ear. I prefer them over the kind ones being stuck in the ear. The first two people from the customer service team that I've talked to weren’t very experienced and quite as knowledgeable. But it has gotten better. The man I have now is very knowledgeable. I’ve been working with for the last three years. He’s very knowledgeable and I think he’s the top salesman for this particular group I go to. Their service is good as well. They have me come in a couple of times a year to check over the hearing aids.

    When I bought these, they were one of the higher level hearing aids. I wanted the good ones because I want to be able to hear. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and they pay a portion of the hearing aid every three years thinking that I might trade every couple of years but I’m not sure if they're in line with the upper ones. And so, I’m looking at next year whether I want to upgrade my hearing aids or not. I’ve got a hearing test coming in February to see if my hearing’s getting where it might need some stronger hearing aids. I’m fortunate I can afford to buy the better ones even without the big insurance payment but I know a lot of people that really struggle to pay for hearing aids. But overall, Miracle-Ear has been very good.

    I’ve been wanting hearing aids because family members have been addressing my issue for a long time. So I googled Miracle-Ear on the internet and found our branch was convenient, right in our local Walmart establishment. I live in a small city and there wasn’t a lot of choices but it worked out good. Having the hearing aids is indescribable and it’s everything I thought it would be. It's not natural hearing and I can tell that it’s amplified deal, but on conversations it’s a wonderful experience. There are times that I can't quite get the definition of some of the words and it is not as crisp as what I would like but I'm hearing a whole lot better.     We got an advertisement from my insurance company and got a discount on the Miracle-Ear hearing aids. It was my husband's first hearing aid and it was advised to get the model with the tube that goes into the ear canal and is formed like the ear. They were almost $4,000, though it has been my favorite because I don't have to yell to speak to him. The customer service is beautiful here in Amarillo. The rep is so nice and she'd adjusted them regularly in the first year. They are really helpful and we could just drop by there anytime and they'd take the time to adjust. Great ladies to work with.     I saw an ad in the paper about a free hearing test so I went ahead and did it, but Miracle-Ear told me I didn't need any hearing aids. Then last year, they notified me to come back since I haven't had my hearing checked in a year. I was told I could benefit from hearing aids. Their sales and customer service teams have been nice and helpful. They have given some tips about things. They suggested an R-I-C model so I got that and they were very comfortable. Also, the batteries last well. I would have loved to have the other one that was very small and does the Bluetooth, but I can't afford it.

    I sing in a choir and my hearing aid has helped me hear pitches better. I can also hear myself sing better because other people sing loudly. I hear things in songs that I have never heard before. Also, I don't have to constantly ask people, "What did you say? I'm sorry I didn't hear you." However, there were times that I wish I had a switch that I could reduce the sound. Like if the instruments are playing. Everybody was complaining that things are too loud, and I believe that's an audio issue. So I just take out my hearing aid. It's still loud but at least it didn't get the higher pitches extremely loud. Although I have one hearing aid that Miracle-Ear was not able to reprogram and it's gonna have to be sent off after Christmas. They tried to get it adjusted and it wouldn't allow them to do that, but the last one would.

    My mother had a Miracle-Ear at one time and I’ve also heard good things about them in so far as their servicing goes. The cost was a little bit more which I wasn’t real happy with but I also could see somebody from Miracle-Ear right here where I live so that was an added benefit. I got the behind the ear ones which are a lot more comfortable. I had more problems with earwax in one of my ears so that was always a problem with the in-the-ear ones.

    I’ve had three different service representatives in the time that I’ve had my hearing aids and each one got better. I’m very pleased with the lady that I have now.     I travel a lot and went to little conferences, and I began to realize I couldn't hear the speakers if they were at a distance. That's what motivated me in becoming interested in hearing aid. I got Miracle-Ear's Behind-The-Ear type. It was available and I thought it was the best thing for me at the time. It suited my needs and I didn't want it to be something bulky. So far, it has been a blessing to me. I don't always wear them but whenever I do need it, it's there. And, they adjust it whenever needed.

    If I couldn't hear in the back, I would let them know and they would adjust it. So they had me in mind. Whenever I go in, I get good treatment.     My daughter took me to Miracle-Ear and my problem turned out to be that I cannot relate well to high pitch sounds. If I’m in a crowded room, I have a hard time distinguishing what people were saying. The team at Miracle-Ear is very good and I've had nice visits each time for the four times that I've been there. They are very accommodating. I happen to live quite a distance away so it’s a little bit more difficult for me to get there by myself. If I ran into a bad weather, they were more than willing to change appointments knowing the distance that I had to travel. Also, the lady who did my testing and fitted me for the hearing aids was extremely friendly and very helpful. She’s had to change the inner size parts a few times because it seems like neither one of my ears are the same.

    The rep I talked to at Miracle-Ear was real nice so I decided to buy from them. The hearing aid helped me a lot. I can hear really well now and I'm very happy with them. I have the one that's outside the ear and only a bit over the ear. It's the next one down from the most expensive one and has the Bluetooth. When I wear it, I forget it's even there.     Miracle Ear had two almost-full-page advertisements in the Boston Globe in November. Some parts were these: "Are you hard of hearing? A major name brand hearing aid provider wishes to field test a new digital hearing instrument in the area. If you wish to participate, you will be required to have your hearing tested in our office FREE OF CHARGE. At the end of this evaluation, you may keep your instrument, if you so desire, at a tremendous savings for participating in this field test. LIMITED TIME OFFER Now through November 18, 2016. 2 Hearing Aids $995. CALL TOLL FREE 1-888-387-3068 FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT." I phoned this number and was given an appointment at 11:00 AM on Thursday November 17 2016 at the nearest Miracle Ear facility, in Burlington MA. I was told to come with my wife, probably because I had mentioned that she wanted me to try a hearing aid. It sounded ideal.

    We were welcomed by Hearing Instrument Specialist Justin **, a very pleasant and seemingly knowledgeable young person. However, he did not know of the advertised offer, and said that it would be entirely unsuitable for me. (He also said that he didn't like the company's continual advertisements that were apparently not communicated to him.) He said that the ideal for me would be a model costing considerably more than $5000, and I gave way under this pressure. The model to which I was fitted by ** turned out to seem to me to be overcompensating for my age-related loss of higher-frequency hearing, so that his utter rejection of the advertised trial offer seemed unjustified.

    This experience is a clear example of bait-and-switch tactics. I ask for a reduction in cost to $995.00 as advertised. If not agreed to I will make a complaint to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and to the FDA. There have been several similar advertisement since, such as on p. A5 in the Boston Globe on December 5 2016 quoting "$595 for Audiotone Pro All Styles" and giving the same phone number as quoted above.

    I've been pleased with Miracle-Ear. They were close and the one I heard the most about so I purchased from them. So far, it has made hearing a lot different, for the good. I have an In-the-Ear and I like it a lot better. It works better too. One time I had the one behind the ear and I personally thought that it was not the function of the ear because it's behind the ear and that it should be in the ear, and then the ear would have a purpose. With the Behind-the-Ear, I could hear people really good behind me, better than I could the people in front of me but I didn't really care what they were saying behind me. I wanted to know what the people in front of me were saying.

    I used to have a different hearing aid years ago. I had the one piece that stuck in the ear before, a couple of years back. It worked good on one ear only. About three years ago, I got from Miracle-Ear the one that hangs over the ear. There are wires and a little filter on the middle piece that goes down in the ear canal and then the wire comes up with the main part of the thing up on top. It lies in the ear lobe there. I hear better when I put it. I just wish I could keep the wax out of the ears that clogs up the hearing aid but their reps clean it out and take care of it. Overall, Miracle-Ear is great.

    I got the tiny hearing aid from Miracle-Ear and then I got insurance on that, but then I lost it. It was the tiniest one they have that goes right into the ear canal and has a little antenna. I got a second one and then I lost that too. I had a box I was carrying around with me and somewhere along the way, I lost it. But they were both great and they really helped. I didn’t go back again because it's expensive and I didn’t have insurance again. I'll have to see when they have another deal going again.

    I had another hearing aid before, but the gentleman who was in charge there moved and never sent me any notice that he's moving. Then, I went to the mall and saw Miracle-Ear and some of my friends had told me about them. With my previous hearing aid, I went with the In-the-Canal style. Then, at Miracle-Ear, they suggested that I go with the Behind-the-Ear style. It's strange because sometimes I would like to hear a little better, but if I take off my hearing aid, then I realize how important it is. But, number one, I think it's very expensive.

    Nevertheless, I'm very satisfied with Miracle-Ear. The service team is excellent. If I find that something is going wrong with my hearing aid, like if it's whistling for no reason, I can call them and they would tell me to come in. However, they used to give their customers free batteries, but now they stopped doing this. So, I have to go to this other place which is very good at sending the batteries, but the extra year warranty I paid should also include the batteries. Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

    My Miracle-Ear experience has been good because they have a good person to take care of my issue in their Hyannis office. But, their price is very high and there should be some way that most people could get decent hearing aids without having to pay so much money. I know that some of the government workers have medical insurance that pays for it, but most of the people don’t have insurance and most of us are not independently wealthy. It really is a hardship and I know that some of my friends don’t have it although they need it because it's too expensive. Miracle-Ear should be a leader in that in the country. I'm sure they'd get even more customers if they would lower the prices.

    When I visited a sister a couple years ago, I had to stop for something in their office in Phoenix and the person there was not interested. He did not call the lab about my hearing aid. And as a result, when I got back to the Hyannis office, their rep there had to take care of it. But I had to put down a large amount of money because I thought something was wrong with the hearing aid and it wasn’t. The rep at the Phoenix office just didn’t bother calling the lab so I feel that all of Miracle-Ear offices are not great. Although one of the reasons I took it was that, if I visited friends or family, I would have an office close by.

    I found out that Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids were state-of-the-art. I went with them when I needed one. The audiologist tested my hearing and recommended me the hearing aid that’s placed behind the ear then there's a tube that goes into the ear. And that’s what I got. It’s been very beneficial and I’ve been very happy using it. It's been very much more enjoyable to be able to hear what I want to hear. I have it adjustable for when I want to cut it back ways, too.     Steve, the first person that I saw in Miracle-Ear, was very knowledgeable and personable. I had a good feeling every time I went in there. He's not there anymore but the people that replaced him were nice too. I signed up for their insurance program My Essential, so that when I have a problem, I bring it there and it's all covered. At one point one of them wasn't functioning at all because the wire got disconnected from the unit. They put a new one on, so everything was fine. The hearing aids have helped with me always having to put the closed captions on the TV programs because I can't understand what they were saying.     I did some research and Miracle-Ear seemed to have a wide network of service and the best technology available. The hearing aids are for my dad but I'm the one who does all the processing and payments. His hearing has improved significantly which is great though he's gonna need something else eventually. He lives overseas and comes here for his annual checkup and cleaning of the aids. The first rep we worked with had very basic Spanish so it was hard for her to have a conversation with my dad who has some command of English but is not fully bilingual.
