Beltone was cheaper and I like the friendliness of the operator in answering our questions so I went with them and got two rebuilt hearing aids. Sometimes I'm really hard of hearing and other times I can hear the things that my wife can't hear. But generally, Beltone has made my life a little easier. Their rep has gone out of his way to help us and make things work for us. So, I'm very pleased and very well satisfied with them.

I've been wearing Beltone hearing aids for over 40 years. I got the small one that goes in the ear and I've been satisfied with them. I love the person I go to. He's really nice and I don't think I could find anybody better.

I was looking through my insurance book and Beltone was listed. So, I had heard different people say that they were good and this is my third set of hearing aids. This is also the only one that I would class a hearing aid because I can hear things I haven’t heard for 25 years. They’re hardly visible and they are easy to put in. I have always had my TV sound at 38 and 40, but I now have it at eight! Their people were very friendly, very helpful and explained a lot about the hearing aid, which when I got them before nobody explained to me anything. I just can’t say enough good about the place and about the people that are there.

My father has Alzheimer's and I knew he was getting hard of hearing but I was debating whether to even get him hearing aids. I thought we were going to spend $3,000 for hearing aids and he was going to break them or lose them. I was going back and forth. It turned out a good friend of mine had gotten her father hearing aids from Beltone. Her father wasn't even that old, had Alzheimer's too but he passed away. My friend told me that her father took to the hearing aids really well right away and that I should just take them. They were top of the line and the most expensive new hearing aids that were sitting in a container doing nothing and she gave them to me.
My father was refitted for the hearing aids and I explained to the audiologist that about his Alzheimer's and that he could be difficult. She was so patient and took her time with him. She was trying to get my father the tones and all of a sudden he started reading a poster and went off. But the audiologist was understanding. She really figured it out, got all the reading she needed and reset the hearing aids. I paid for redoing them. I love working with Beltone, it's such a pleasure. The products have worked well and when my father has them in, he doesn't get as frustrated and he's so much better. The hearing aids that we have for my father, he bought two of them and were very happy with them too.
When my mother needed to get new hearing aids, I took her to Beltone too. She had a bigger one where the whole piece stuck in her ear but she wasn't hearing well with it. We decided to try something different and the new one has been better for her hearing. Like my father, she has the hearing aids that are behind the ear. The staff there made us feel very comfortable and I loved them. The first time, there was a male audiologist and he was very good and really paid attention. The new audiologist that's there now is wonderful too. I've recommended Beltone.

I learned about Beltone hearing aids from John, the gentleman who took care of my mother for many years. The hearing aids my mom had were boom boxes in her ears. John even made house calls to her a couple of times. When my hearing started to fade, even though I live in the middle of the state of North Carolina and he's in Burlington, I decided that's who I wanted to take care of my hearing as well. I've been through multiple sets of hearing aids since working with him. I’m certainly not John Rockefeller, Jr., but I'm not dirt poor either. And when new technology comes out, he always makes me aware of it and explains to me all about it. I got the behind-the-ear model which ought to be the latest technology for what it costs. They’re as comfortable as they're gonna be when I put it in my ear all day long.
I also have a sister who has severe hearing impairment herself. She is not as financially secure as I am and basically lives on Social Security. She lives all the way to the coast here in North Carolina. She made a special trip just to see John to get hearing aids which says an awful lot about him. He's such a blessing to so many people and he feels like family to me.
My wife and I also have the Beltone Direct Line My Pal Pro Personal Audio Link. It’s just a small thing that she could clip right on to her blouse and whenever she's within the house, I could hear her in my hearing aid. I like it and would recommend it to anybody because I found another use for it. My wife and I are both active even though I'm 78 years old. When we’re watching TV, if I have it loud enough for me to hear it, it’s just too loud for her. So I take this little thing, turn it on and put it right next to the TV. She can put it in a level that suits her and I can put it at a level that suits me with this device. And when I go to a meeting, I can do the same thing and I can get most of what they’re saying. And when I go to church on Sunday morning, sometimes I can’t hear the preacher too good. So I clip it to my shirt, turn it on and I can hear the preacher a whole lot better.
It’s indeed life-changing and definitely worth the price that I bought two of them since my wife and I each own a house that's one county away. We're back and forth a lot since we live in both of them so we got one of these My Pals in her home and one in mine and I discovered I could program each one of them to my hearing aids. I would have the highest recommendation possible for Beltone.

The hearing care professional at Beltone was really nice and did a great job. We set the hearing aids at the right level and she had me come back to make sure the hearing was properly set. She also went over everything with me about how my hearing can deteriorate by not wearing hearing aids. I ordered two hearing aids, and I paid for one and the insurance paid for the other. It’s a lot better to be able to hear people. I have a 13-year old daughter and she talks loud, and I’m getting her adjusted so she doesn't need to talk as loud now. The only bad thing is when I had an appointment and their phones went out. I went to their place and didn't get any service. The power was still off after she rescheduled my appointment.

My hearing had gone bad so I went to Beltone. I enjoyed talking with their staff. They were very nice and friendly people. They answered all my questions, showed me around and fitted what they thought would be good. But I didn't like the one that goes over the ear and I told them. So they ordered the hearing aids that fit in the ear which was much better for me. They fixed me right up and I am proud of it. I am enjoying wearing the hearing aids and everything's perfect with them with me. I can hear better and that makes a lot of difference in my life. I would send anybody to Beltone.

My husband had Beltone years ago because he’s a letter carrier in Chicago, where they originated. I had used another hearing aid brand before going to Beltone. I saw this brand and I thought it would be good. They treated me very well at the dealership where I got the hearing aids. However, the first pair I got did not work out good and somehow, we clashed with the person who sold it to us. They took it back and we replaced that. And then, I also upgraded to the larger one with the T-13 battery unit, which seemed to be better then. I didn't feel them in my ears and I can go to sleep with them. However, this third pair got clogged up and I had an awful lot of wax in my ears all the time.
Their rep, Mary Ann, was very nice, polite, and always does her best. She’s a big improvement over the previous guys at Beltone. She told us that I build up a lot of dry skin, but we didn’t have this problem with the previous products I had. She also said that we couldn't clean them and they needed deep cleaning every three months which should be done at the office. Because I’m legally blind, my husband had to make the appointment to go to the office. He also didn’t want to clean the hearing aids himself because he didn’t want to mess up the product.
Sometimes, when the hearing aids didn't work, my husband and I had to take them in their office which is discouraging to me. And the bad thing about Beltone’s service was that we’ve had to wait twice. The last time, we waited almost two hours after we made the appointment. Mary Ann said that the hearing aid professional was in her office but she needed help. The lady was professional though.

My mother got a hearing aid and I got two hearing aids from Beltone. It has improved my husband's life better than mine because I can hear him more now, but it has impacted my mother's life tremendously. She's 89 years old and has not been able to hear for several years. We could not talk her into getting a hearing aid but we finally did, and now she can't imagine life without it. The girl who worked at the front desk was absolutely awesome. The rep was so kind to my mother, explained everything, and helped her with her hearing aid. We like their products and they've also helped me when I couldn't figure out how to change the wax thing in one of them.

Before, when I went places, I couldn’t hear that well and if there were several people talking, I had a hard time hearing what they were saying. It got to where they’d had to talk so loud to me for me to hear. I wanted to get my hearing checked and my husband encouraged me to do it so I did. I had some hearing aids from another company before which made my ears sore so I just could not wear them.
Then, I was driving across town and saw Beltone was there. I’ve always heard they were good hearing aids and I only go to a place that was reputable so I went with them. I’ve always felt welcome there. The girl that works in the office and the guy that fitted me with my hearing aids were really good. I got two hearing aids that go in my ear. I've had them for a few years already and they're comfortable and I've enjoyed them. They notified me that I needed to come in and have them checked not long ago so I went and everything's fine. Now, I can hear better. Beltone is a good company to get hearing aids and I would recommend them to anyone.

I remember Beltone from a long time ago when we still lived in Detroit. It was an unknown name at that time. I'm 77 years old and when I was losing some hearing in my ears, we’ve realized to get hearing aids. There is another company that’s really big down here and I've heard its advertisement all the time on the radio. But I was afraid if I'd gone over there and I checked out Beltone that I might run into a problem. Beltone’s office was in an area that I was familiar with and since I already knew Beltone's name, I felt comfortable going to them. When I went in their office, the young lady there was a nice person. She greeted me like she's happy to see me and they have coffee there if you want a cup of coffee.
I also got to know David who was easy to work with. He told me what their products were, from the most expensive down to the least expensive, and whatever would fit in our budget. He knew that we had Humana and he said that Humana would cover part of the price. He told me everything I needed to know right away but we didn't get the hearing aids immediately as I tried to decide which one I would want and what would fit our budget the best. David did everything that he could to help us to understand then he gave me the test for my ears and we discovered that one ear was worse than the other one. My husband, Jim, was there too with me because sometimes I forget things. David also treated Jim very well. He's very friendly and he got to know us.
I like that the Beltone hearing aids are easy to get in and out of my ears. They also gave me this cute little thing that holds the batteries and there's a little tool that makes it easy to grab the Beltone. I don't have to struggle with my fingers to try to get a hold of those tiny things. Their hearing aids are appropriate for me because I have noticed a difference. I had problems with people that mumble or speak in a lower voice and sometimes when I watched TV, I couldn't understand what they're saying. Now I can hear a whole lot better so the hearing aids have been very beneficial to me.
David told me how important it was to use my hearing aids as much as I could so that my ears got used to them and got better somewhat. He’d take them and clean them often, making sure that everything is working. Also, I’d go in there every three months and he’d look in my ears then give me another hearing test. He’d go through words that I would have to repeat to make sure that I'm hearing good. He also makes sure that I'm happy with the hearing aids and that I'm using them. Then he would refresh the batteries so I have more to get me through to the next time. I'm happy to go and be with David and have him help me. The whole experience has been very pleasant and I've recommended Beltone to others.

I was having trouble with the hearing aids by other companies because they didn't work well. The ones from Beltone are twice as good as them because I can hear better and they’re so easy to use. The rep that fit me with my hearing aids was very nice and he was really good. He showed them to us and he let me try them on. The price was a little high but my interactions with the reps have been great all the time. I tell anybody who wants to have good hearing aids to go there.

My husband has an inside the ear device - the best one from Beltone. The ones that he had immediately before this were the over the ear and although he never mentioned it to me, he felt that having that over his ear interfered. He doesn’t wear glasses, but when he wears sunglasses, that was annoying to him and he made that comment right after he got this. He goes, “Oh, this is so much better. I don’t have to worry about that over the thing”. He also likes the fact that he can control it from his cellphone, which really makes it nice when you are traveling. Furthermore, he likes the ability to change the range.
Everything has been going well with his hearing aid except that in the last couple of days he noticed that if you are calling the cellphone, it is supposed to go directly into his hearing aids and it has not been doing that. I'm starting to wonder if it has got anything to do with some recent updates on the iPhones. He has an appointment with the Beltone specialist tomorrow, but he's been very pleased. The whole office, they're very nice. The secretary and the audiologist are just exceptional. Julia, especially, is fabulous - she is very thorough, making sure that it's right. They are very credible and you can tell that they really understand your issues and do whatever they can to resolve them. I would recommend them!

I had been thinking about hearing aids for quite some time and went to Beltone and ask them. Their technician seems to be pretty upfront. I bought two hearing aids and the rep did a very nice job. He didn’t have all the answers but he knew where to get them. He made a couple of telephone calls, had the answers and was quite helpful. Beltone helped my hearing a whole bunch. It kept me from saying “what”. I had a very nice experience with them.

I got the over the ear hearing aid from Beltone and it's comfortable to use. I had a pair that was in the ear and it felt like my ears were clogged all the time and like I just never could get the right tone out of them. With these it's just like there's nothing there. At the open I can hear. They amplified the sound really good. They’ve been really good hearing aids and I hear well with them. My wife even says that she can't talk behind my back anymore.
I can also use them on phone. There's an app that I can go to, bluetooth with those and people look at me. The funny is I'm walking down the street and I'm talking on my phone but I'm not talking to anybody, I'm just talking because I can get the amplification to my ear. Those are some of the things that I really like. Also the audiologist that sold them to me worked with me. She's easy to talk with. She jokes with everybody when they come in and she knows what she's doing. She gets on the computer and says, “Okay, let's set it up and we'll check them real quick.” She’ll take my hearing aids back, clean them, putt in the new earpieces on, bring them out, set them up, ask me what's wrong, and she gets going and say, “Okay, let's just do this little adjustment.”
Two minutes and she's done. I make an appointment every three months and I walk in and she's just, “Craig, come on in, sit down, relax. What's been going on?” And we chat for 10, 15 minutes before she ever gets going. Also the insurance worked really well with Beltone. They helped pay for part of the hearing aids and the cost was really good. I'm really happy with it.
With my insurance the set that I've had now for just about two years cost me $55 out of pocket. They’ve got some new ones out and my audiologist from my check up said, “I'm not even going to let you try this until we check with the insurance.” And the insurance has changed a little bit. I've got to go another year before I can be eligible to buy some more. She said, “I won't put this in because you'd want them as soon as you put them in.” She said that they’ve improved that much in the last two years. But she said, “I don’t want you to pay $6,600 for them out of pocket.” She thinks of the client as well on what they have to pay.
She says, “If you got insurance, we'll let the insurance pay as much as possible and then we'll work on what you have to pay.” And they’ve got a payment plan that they can set up to work with it which has never been a problem. I just paid cash for the difference. So I think the first ones that I got through Beltone has a $900 difference but that wasn’t bad at all.
I had one problem with this new set about six months ago but it was the computer that they used to set everything up on them. It had literally destroyed my hearing aids. I sent them back in and about two and a half weeks they sent them back and said, “We couldn’t figure out what was wrong. We just sent you new hearing aids.” So I was happy with that.
They're really good to work with. They kept me up-to-date on my hearing aids and they were good about replacing batteries. They’ve got a battery program that cost $20 a year. Any time you'd need batteries you'd go in and say, “I need some batteries,” and you get two or three packages and you're good to go. The thing is that the hearing aids that I have now I can get 12 to 14 days out of the batteries before they go dead. The ones that I had before I got about six days. And the ones before that about three days so they vastly improved in the battery consumption. I've recommended them to at least eight people that I know that have gone in and bought hearing aids from them.

Beltone Hearing Aids are comfortable and the battery life lasts long. The rep was very nice and helpful and I told her what was going on with me. I was at a training session for my job and I could barely hear the words the speaker was saying because she had a very soft spoken voice. The rep tested my hearing aid and said, “I don’t know how you did it.” She really showed her sincerity to me. The appointment I had afterward was good. My experience with Beltone has been very satisfying. I've been deaf my whole life and I didn't even know it. I got a set of Beltone hearing aids and it opened up a whole different world for me. I really enjoyed the people that are in there. Their price was a bit cheaper than others and the doctor helped me out a lot. He's knowledgeable and told me exactly what's going on and where I’m at. And, every time I go in to have my hearing aids cleaned, it's always free. The hearing exam was more thorough than any hearing exam I've ever been through. Everything was straight and upfront with me. I'm 75% deaf and he took the time to walk me through everything and make it so that I could hear.
My hearing aid is small, compact and convenient. I really love them because they are hard to see. If a person doesn’t know I'm wearing hearing aids, they’d never see them. They're easily cleaned. I take them in once a month and have them cleaned. But I can also keep them clean at the house which makes them last a little longer. Also, they don't eat batteries, it’s usually a battery a week which is really good. It has improved the quality of my life a lot. I can hear my wife now when she talks, I don't have to have the TV way up loud. It's at an acceptable level for her and I both. I really love music such as Rock and Roll, Country, Jazz and Blues. By having these hearing aids, I hear a lot more of the music and that's a wonderful thing for me.

I saw Beltone when I was looking in the telephone book, and I called them.
I went into the office and there was the nicest receptionist. And then, I met a man that examined me and he was very good. He found out that I was almost totally deaf and he fit me with a hearing aid. Then I went back a couple of times and they readjusted the hearing aids for me. They're so comfortable that I sometimes fall asleep in bed with them. Also, I have taken a shower with them, but I haven't had trouble with them. I took them back and the lady turned them in. And they sent another pair. That sensation of jolting through my ear is gone, but there are times when it seems like the left one just totally shuts down. And then, I'll have to play with the volume buttons on the right one. But I didn't go for that because I wear glasses and I was afraid I would be losing them. And what I have now, I put in my ears and I won't lose them. So far, I'm satisfied. My father used to have Beltone Hearing Aids all the time. Then, I went to a meeting with my husband who has a Cochlear where the speaker was telling us all about the BAHA. He also told us that has an office where he sells Beltone and when he said it was Beltone, I thought that it was a good idea. I waited until I could check a new hearing aid and I could get it in the last month. Instead of going to see the person who was the top two in Detroit, I went to Brighton and thought that I could find a Beltone store closer to home. I was over Linden, Michigan and they had one in Fenton which is only 10 miles from me. So, I called them up and got an appointment.
The person that fitted my hearing aids was very nice and so was his receptionist. They were the top of the line. When the tech did my hearing test, I was so thrilled that I could get two hearing aids instead of one. I've had to wait every three years and take turns with my previous hearing aids but now I could get two of them, one for both ears. My new Beltone hearing aids also have a wire instead of a tube and I was so thrilled on that too because before, I had to go about every four months and have my tubes changed because the tubes would get old. Now the tech at Beltone has me come back every two weeks and he checks it to make sure everything is going ok.
So far I'm happy with my Beltone hearing aids and my experience with them has been great. When I put them on, I hear out of them and they're wonderful. They also fit good and are comfortable. Before I got my Beltone hearing aids, I've never been happy with the ones I had for the last six years. Three years ago I got a Siemens hearing aid and they had so many problems with it. They sent it back about three times just to get it right for me. Beltone also told me that my old hearing aids didn't correspond back and forth with each other and that the other place I used to go to should have adjusted them. But that place never did that and they never said anything to me.

On May 10, 2017 I purchased the Legend 17 64DW hearing aids from my local Beltone office. I could not tolerate the large size of these aids, returned them and replaced them with the Legend 1763DW. I received my new hearing aids on June 19, 2017. On Aug. 12, 2017 I received a letter from my local Beltone representative stating he was closing the 2 local offices that he operated. His instructions were that any service necessary would have to be done by shipping UPS or FedEx to his office over 250 miles away. There are no other Beltone dealers within a 100 mile radius.
I have already needed to send in my hearing aids for a new ear tip and it cost me $9.50 UPS without insurance. To insure the hearing aid for the $2000 value would have cost me $55! My complaint is that I should never have been sold these hearing aids without being told there would be no service available during the warranty period. I feel that it is unethical and unacceptable to be notified less than 2 months after the receipt of my new hearing aids of this fact. How am I to proceed from here?

The phone and my Beltone hearing aids are connected together. I got the phone app where I can talk on the phone and I can hear the sounds coming in my ear. I've had hearing aids now through the years and most of them are comparable. Also, the people who I've dealt with have been very good.

My wife went to Beltone because they were offering a hearing test. She purchased a good hearing aid that goes over the ear. The technician was very good and he adjusted it nicely and they took care of all of her needs at that time. They were able to do all the adjustments on the computer and she got a remote adjusting tool. Overall it was a nice experience. Everything has been working out very well. She tried out the latest one and it was much better, but it was too much of an expense. And the original one could be adjusted, so it's okay. She hears everything with it. She heard really well before but there were certain tones that she missed. It depended on how it was given to her.

When I first got my hearing aids, I got them in with Michigan Life. I had to go to Grand Rapids all the time and then I had a shoulder replacement. I had an appointment and I said "I won't be in for a while. I had my shoulder replacement and I will call you so I can come back." They called me probably about six times all while I was having my problems with my shoulder and I got so sick of it.
Melissa was the one who fit my hearing aid and she's just a sweetheart. She used to work up in Grand Rapids at the same place I went. That's the first time I went but then they changed over and she was there. She was just so nice no matter what you did or if you had a problem, she could fix it. Then I called Beltone and made an appointment. I walked in there and the girl at the desk she said "Oh, she's just going to be just a few minutes." And I said oh, that's fine. So I sat down when the door opened and this gentleman came out that she had already talked to and was talking to him. He left and then she came over and I said, "Oh, my god, Melissa!" I was really pleased to see her there.

I purchased a Beltone hearing aid and I like that I can hear clearly with it. Beltone's hearing care professional was understanding and very helpful in picking out the right hearing aids that I needed to get. And she was very knowledgeable on how things went and she was also very pleasant and informative. All in all, Beltone has impacted my life tremendously.

Me and my girlfriend were driving through town and we noticed the Beltone sign. They said "Free hearing test" and that took me, so we stopped in and I had a reading test and I read it just above pass. It was unreal so I didn't even hesitate. I got them right then and it felt a lot better when I had them in. I also like the fact that I wear my back from my ears and nobody can actually see them unless they look really really close. That was a good feature for me too but it doesn't bother me. If I had to have one that showed, it wouldn't bothered me too since I'm not that vain. However, I cannot understand why it cost that much but I'd say that everyday I still get my prescription.
My hearing care professional, Melissa, was a sweetheart. I like her and she's very nice and she's just right there whenever you need her. She's good and also has a very good knowledge of their products. I went back a couple of times. First time was because I've taken the hearing aids out the first night and then put them on my bed stand and when I got up in the morning, I couldn't get it in my ear and I was trying to put the big part in my ear first. She laughed at me when I took them down there and she showed me what to do and everything was fine after that. Also, I had to take them back because the right ear wasn't working. It was a matter of some ear wax that got into the little piece there. But she fixed that right away and everything was fine so I had no problems. However though, one thing I have noticed when I'm watching television, if they have violin music, my hearing aids screech like crazy.

I know Beltone has been around for a long time. I have a granddaughter who works for their office, too. The rep was very confident and friendly. She answered questions and took care of what’s going on. I got the hearing aids for both ears and I can hear plainer, so I don’t have to keep saying "what" too often. Every 90 days, Beltone does a check on the hearing aids and clean them. If anything needs to be replaced, it’s replaced. Overall, they’ve been accommodating, friendly and available to answer questions if needed. I’d recommend them.

My husband has had hearing aids from a different place, which was overpriced, and we were not especially happy with them. I never considered another company after his until I read about Beltone in the paper or a magazine. The reps seemed to know exactly what they were talking about and they answered my questions. I’m very happy with the service and their attitude. There’s a different rep there now and he’s just as well. I have hearing aids that go behind, over and in to my ears and it has helped a great deal. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service, with the equipment and the follow up service is good.

I purchased Beltone Hearing Aids. Beltone guarantees to take care of their customers better and they had an office set-up rather than some mall set-up that's only been around for a year or two. The hearing aids work pretty good and they're pretty clear. Their reps are very good which is seen in their professionalism in the office and the way they conduct their business activity. They know what they were doing. I had a couple issues with chargers and batteries. I don't know if they're all under the same ownership or their franchise store or how they've done it. But John, the guy that I've done business with has done a fine job keeping up on whatever else I had to follow up with. These issues were resolved. I can hear a lot better with Beltone Hearing Aids. The experience overall was pleasurable and not confrontational.

I’ve been thinking about getting hearing aids for quite a while. I saw an ad of Beltone Hearing Aids in a local paper and I thought I’d give them a chance. I had also heard before that they were a very reputable company. I had a very good experience with their hearing care professional. He portrayed a lot of confidence and knowledge about what we are doing and convinced me that I needed hearing aids. He and the receptionist were both very nice people, so I wouldn’t hesitate to go over there again. However, Beltone hearing aids were a little more expensive than I had anticipated. But I realized that if you want to get anything that works well for a long time, you have to be willing to pay the price.
The hearing aids have good quality. Since I’ve had them, I’ve noticed a difference in my life but the biggest difference is noticed by my wife. She would confirm that the hearing aids are doing a good job. Beltone and the people that represent them were very reputable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The service was good and I enjoy working with them.

I went to Myers and there was a lady that came there and she had Beltone for a long, long time. And so I decided to try them. I got my hearing aids for a year now and the gentleman that takes care of me is very good. I'm always happy to go back there to see him every three months. He's a very nice person and very easy to talk to. I've been very satisfied with everything.
Beltone has four different settings on it that I really like having. If I go on the shows that are too loud, instead of taking them out of my ear I can just go to number four and then when I go back out to do my ushering job I put it back to one or two. Before when I went to a meeting at church or the senior center, I would make sure when I sat I would sit so that whoever was the speaker was to my right because I hear better on my right ear than on my left. So having hearing aids made it much better. I don't have to worry about where to sit. I can go there and sit anywhere. I recommend Beltone Hearing Aids. In fact, I got a friend that went and got them.

I had a real bad experience with the hearing doctor that I went to before. I had two hearing doctors that wanted to put me in cochlear implants and they totally hurt me financially. But Beltone has always been good. My lady of 35 years saw Beltone hearing aid on the paper and she said it’s worth a try because the ones that I had were junk. I only got a hearing aid in one ear because the other one’s totally gone. It’s a free checkup so I did and sure enough Humana paid for it and they set me up with a Beltone hearing aid. I had it for about three years with no problems.
The first rep who helped me was John. He had hearing aids in his ear too. He’s a lot younger than I and he was great. He did the test and pointed out the one I should have so I got a refurbished hearing aid the first time. Dave took over last year and helped me get a brand new hearing aid. He’s been great too and helped me out with everything.
I hear well with one hearing aid but I got to keep everybody on my left side. Some of the road and restaurant noise are a pain but I got to put up with that. They set me up an appointment every three months and I follow up on it too. I get my ears checked and they check for waxes too. I’m totally satisfied and happy with Beltone. I tell everybody to go and just switch to Beltone and get better taken care of. They did me right and they will do the others right too. They got me hooked. They get you in and out on time. And I feel comfortable with them.

I live in a neighborhood where there’s a Beltone store. I used two different companies before. The second one was okay but it was near Central Road and I live on the west side of Grand. The hearing care professional at Beltone was wonderful. I just love him. He's like my big boy and I can share stuff with him about my four great-grandsons, as well as about their mommy and daddy. His knowledge of Beltone products is top notch compared to my other experiences.
The hearing aids aren’t noticeable. I didn't even know I wear them and I have little bitty ears so that's good. Overall, the only thing I didn't like is the way I had it financed. I should have gone ahead and paid for them. I should be able to choose to go through whoever it is that is their finance person. And they charged too much interest so when I paid in cash, I had to pay a fine for not going through it.

I had a pair of Beltone hearing aids given to me from a relative that passed away and only had them for a few years. Then I found they had better technology, so I bought a new pair. It costs more than the AT&T though. I have someone else that has a different hearing aid and it connects to his Apple phone. He can turn it up and down that way, which I didn’t know that there would be a better system. But besides that, my experience with Beltone was very pleasant. It's really nice to be able to hear a lot of what you've been missing. Plus, their hearing professional was very knowledgeable. He taught me a lot about the hearing aid. That's what made me decide to go ahead and buy another pair. I met with him almost every month for the first few months. Now, I don’t have to see him but once every six months.

But the secret was shown to me and that helped a lot. So consequently, the problem has been alleviated.

My Beltone hearing aids have a little button that I can push and get four different listening options. I like that a lot because it helps when I go into a restaurant or if I’m in a loud crowd. I like that I can just turn down the volume down by doing that as oppose to the volume itself. There’s different mechanism to push the volume up or down. I can just switch to that four channel in it. That’s how it’s set up. It’s like a 17-channel hearing aids. One of them is now not working after just a year though.
The one I knew from Beltone who fitted my hearing aids was excellent. I was very pleased with his service and his commitment to service and adjusting my hearing aids as I needed them. But I was not pleased with the people at Texas at all. I went there in the winter and wanted to have the volume turned up just a little bit. The two different places I went to don’t have skill to work with the computer to adjust it. They were friendly and helpful but they weren’t knowledgeable.
At the first place I went which was in Corpus Christi, I saw two different people. They couldn't adjust my hearings aids right. They were so messed up I didn’t wear them at all. Then I was up in the Fredericksburg, Texas, this guy was very proud of himself, that he could do other things. But he didn’t get them adjusted right too. Beltone has to increase their value of service. Instead of going in to get your hearing aids fixed, they try to sell you a new pair. If you’re there to take care of people, you’re there to take care of people, not take their money. Still, my Beltone hearing aids have improved my life and I also like it very much that it can be adjusted and reprogrammed. My hearing loss is mild enough that I just wear them as I needed to at this point.

We decided on Beltone Hearing Aids because we would randomly be near a Beltone outlet when we go south in the winter. Also, my husband had Beltone and he liked it. I got hearing aids which go over the ear. Their hearing care professional has done a very good job. He's very knowledgeable and worked with me to get it tuned in correctly. I had maintenance for the hearing aids to be cleaned and then he had me go back in last Wednesday so he can check how I was doing. So, I've been very satisfied with him. And now, I can hear better in conversational activities.

My husband does a lot of sweating because he's working on some car and he gets some trouble with the hearing aids. Beltone is reliable and they are all over the place. When I fit the hearing aids, the employees sat down to talk to me. The wife was along and she could go in the room and hear what I wasn’t hearing and what I can. Their staff set the hearing aids at three levels: regular, reduced, and quiet. Both the guy and the gal at the counter were friendly. However, the right ear shut down when the batteries were only two days old. I switched the batteries around and put them back in and they were both working again. But everything’s okay now. I’ve had normal follow-ups where he asks how things were going and added a new level each time.

I was contacted by Beltone when they bought out a hearing provider that I had seen for over 30 years. They told me they were getting acquainted with all the new patients and offered me a free evaluation/cleaning of my hearing aids. I was in the market for new hearing aids and the call came at a perfect time. Upon seeing the salesperson, I fell into their smooth talking operation and they talked me into new hearing aids telling me the ones I wanted looked at weren't good enough for my hearing problems. They asked permission to contact my insurance to verify coverage. I agreed. After several weeks of no contact or follow up, I called several times and was told they were still waiting on insurance.
I finally told them that I did not wish to pursue hearing aids with them. Suddenly their tone changed. They said I entered into a contract with them and couldn't just cancel. I had to go back to the office and sign something. I went back, requested a copy of my medical file (in alignment with state laws) and asked to sign whatever was needed to let them know I didn't want hearing aids from them. Suddenly they were telling me my insurance already paid for them and I couldn't cancel unless I wrote a check for $250 on the spot.
They also refused to give me a copy of my medical records because they had to "check with higher ups to see if they were even allowed". As a person with a severe hearing impairment, I felt like they cared only about selling me a product and nothing about making sure I could hear better. I politely asked to cancel any order they had placed and they still refuse until I pay another $250 as a cancellation fee. I urge anyone considering doing business with this company to read all the fine print and not make decisions on the spot, despite their harsh sales tactics. I am without hearing aids and now cannot get them anywhere else because they are holding the insurance funds and my medical records. It has been a frustrating experience to say the least.

Also, I go back there at least once a year for periodic adjustments. Some of my friends who have hearing aids went for a cheaper product at a big brick and mortar store but when they have problems, they go back to where they got them but there's nobody there to really give them good service. We're in Michigan and we have a house in South Carolina, and my husband got his hearing aids from Beltone when we were down there. He's had a very good experience with Beltone and everybody there has been wonderful with him. The first hearing aid that he had was the one that went over the back of his ear and then a little plastic thing went into his ear. The second one that he had completely went into his ear. He likes the new one he better because it doesn’t have that thing that goes over the back of his ear which gets pulled down when he wears his glasses.
The people that we worked at Beltone kept us coming back to them. They were amazing and worked so well with my husband. If he had any issues, he'd come back and they'd fix the problem for him right away. The first time, he broke something off. The second time, they asked him to come back so they could check and see how everything was going. The hearing aids have absolutely made a big impact on him. It's a lot different how he can now react to everything and know everything that’s going on, whereas before he didn’t hear half of what was happening. Overall, Beltone has been very easy to work with and we have recommended them to people.

In terms of the features of my hearing aids, I like the one where I got the four settings that make it easier for adjustment for different areas that I'm in. Their reps were very good at taking care of me. I go down there once every three months and they clean them and see if I need to make any adjustments. Beltone is wonderful. I’ve gone to Beltone and I’ve not had one problem. And if I do they're right over there. This is my second pair of hearing aids. With my first Beltone pair I never had a problem. But these are new ones that I have and they wax in the little tube and won't work. John gave me some little extra tube set because I can release the old one and put the new little tube in. So now I know what the problem is and how I can take care of it.
They’re very good and very helpful people and I definitely would recommend them. The rep gets at their office very early. He said he's normally there at 7:30. So I can go over there at 8:30 and the door’s open while some other place don’t open till 10. If there’s any problem he’s right there and fixes it. I don’t have to worry about taking off work or get over there and wait in line for something.
The conversations are so much better. The older ones, a couple of times, I had to repeat but I haven’t had to do that with these newer ones. I’m really picking up all the sounds and so I’m very happy with these latest ones that I have. I also have a charger so I don’t have to worry about the batteries. I just put them in my little battery charger in the morning and then I’m ready to go. Overall I find people at Beltone very accommodating and their product very well-made. I would definitely recommend the hearing aids to anyone that has a hearing problem.

I got a letter in the mail and it said that Beltone was offering me a free exam for hearing, so I called them. I purchased their in-ear hearing aids and I like the fact that as a woman, I can wear them and they aren't noticeable. They’re discreet and I've had people say, "Where are they?" When I tell them I have hearing aids, they don't even realize that I have them. It's also very comfortable because I don't notice that I have them in there, but every once in a while I cup my ear to see if it's okay.
Plus, I liked the professionalism that I experienced there. Melissa, the person from Hastings who examined me and tested hearings for me was very thorough and knowledgeable. I really liked her. She took me all the way through and I really appreciate that I wasn't handed off to some office girl. Also, their product cost and quality were comparable to other companies too. If I got a discount from Beltone and I have insurance for hearing aids, it was just about what I expected. The battery life is sufficient too and it's less than a week as a general rule and it's no problem replacing them. Overall, I have recommended them to a friend and I’m completely satisfied.

I've been using Beltone Hearing Aids since the year 2000. Our family doctor said Beltone is the best and he referred me to the Owosso office. My old set was fine. They fit my ear better and were smaller. I would put them in and they were comfortable. I had no problems with them. I only had to go every six months to their office for a cleaning and once a year for a hearing test. But the left side of my old set does not work anymore so they said I need a whole new set. My past experience has been very good except last month when I got my new set of hearing aids. I purchased it the first week of August and one kept falling out of my ear. They weren’t the right size. I only had them a week and I went back to Beltone in Flint telling them I can’t wear it. I still don't have them and I’m supposed to go into their office on Thursday to see if they’re going to fit this time.
I have been very satisfied with their hearing professional Mike. He was in the Owosso office before so I’ve had him for quite a while. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. His service was topnotch and I really enjoyed it. But he moved to the Flint office so now I have to drive there in order to get any service. He's now taking on too much because he's got the Flint office, the Fenton office, and the Davidson office. He just doesn’t have the time to spend with his patients as he has too much work at different offices.
The cost of this new hearing aid is way out of range. I’m not very happy with them because I can’t afford it and I am just on social security. I was going to pay them on a monthly plan but my family to not do it because it’s going to cost me way too much, so we just paid for them upfront. Now, I am just waiting to see my new hearing aids and if I will be satisfied with them. If I’m not, I’m going to try a different company and I want to have my money refunded because I’ve already paid for them.

I was driving cars on the fast track and we listen for noises and Chrysler gave us a hearing test and I couldn’t pass it. That’s what led me to the Beltone experience. The health care person that fitted me my hearing aids was really good and their people were really professional. I got the top of the line and I like that they work. I chose Beltone for its durability. One time, I went to a restaurant and the crowd was loud. I got up and left because the people’s voices were so annoying and the guy there was obnoxious so that had a lot to do with me leaving. My hearing aids work good as far as I’m concerned.
There was a time when I had to go back over at Beltone because I get a lot of wind noise sometimes if I had the window down, and they’d adjusted it to compensate that. I’d recommend Beltone to others. I’m moving from Michigan to Tennessee and they gave me addresses down there with the Beltone people. They also gave me a year’s supply of batteries until I can get set up down there and they’re just wonderful over here in Toledo. So far, everything’s been going well and I can hear better.

My husband went to Beltone and he was happy with the hearing aids that he got from them. Then the man there said that I could probably use hearing aids too. I went to another Beltone store and the woman there said that it's not a big deal and I don't need hearing aids yet. That was nice that they weren’t just pushing the hearing aids on us and I felt like they were being honest. Some time after that though, I needed hearing aids, so I went back to them. We also went to a place in Battle Creek and we have respect for what the man there has to say.
My husband and I both started out with behind-the-ear hearing aids and I still have mine, but my husband’s a farmer and he recently ended up with the style that goes in the ear because the person at Beltone felt that my husband would be less likely to get his hearing aids caught on something that way. Since then, the TV is not as loud as it was before for him and I’m not yelling at him to turn the TV down, so his hearing aids might be a little better for sound, but then I don’t have any problem with mine either. Our hearing aids are both good and we hear much better now.

I can remember Beltone since I was in my 40’s and I'm now in my 80’s. I've known for a long time that I couldn’t hear because I kept asking my kids to repeat themselves. The hearing aid I bought from Sonus went over my ear and it simply did not work that well. Even when putting in batteries, they still didn’t work and I gave it up. I finally decided to try something else and two years ago was when I got in touch with Beltone and had the ones that go in my ear. The batteries last really good. Even though the batteries are not cheap, I would rather buy them so I can hear. The one I'm using at this point are Energizer 13. When I had Sonus, I paid for whatever it cost me and when I bought the ones from Beltone and the Energizer battery, it worked just fine and that’s the main thing. I want a hearing aid battery that will work and last for a fair amount of time. I have three kids who are in their 60’s now, I need to be able to hear.
I have gone to Beltone a couple of times. I also have an appointment to see someone on the 18th of this month because they have that little hole that has to be cleaned out occasionally. At my age, I don’t have a good grip as I did when I was 40 or 50. So I need somebody to take care of that to be sure that they're working. I also don’t have any problem getting Beltone because my daughter-in-law will take me to get whatever I need from the store. I usually try to go to Walmart because that’s where I can get them the most reasonable.

My husband’s sister-in-law had gone to Beltone and she got a pair of hearing aids. But my husband didn’t want hearing aids because it makes you old so I said, “Why don’t we have them adjusted to you? You try them out and see what you think.” And so he did and he couldn’t believe what he could hear. And when we went in finally to have his testing taken care of and to see what they thought I told the gentleman, “You know, people have such a phobia about wearing hearing aids because they think it makes them old so they wait until it’s almost too late." And he said, “Yeah. That happens a lot." And the thing is with the new technology through a remote and through the phone if we're at an auction or something like that my husband can just turn the hearing aid down.
My husband didn’t want people to know that he had hearing aids in so we got the real small ones, the latest technology ones that go behind the ears with a little clear tube that comes down to the ear. Before when he was walking away he’d be talking and I’d say, “I could hear you.” And he say, “No, you can’t.” I go, “Yes, I can.” And now he understands because he said, “I never knew a newspaper sounded like that or a chip bag opening would be so loud.” "Like the dogs," he said, “I never knew when they walk across the tile flooring.” He said that they actually made noise. It was a proof that he definitely needed them.
We went to one office at Monroe and then when they opened up the office up in Perrysburg we started going to them. We still go there periodically. Both of them were absolutely wonderful. They keep checking on him all the time if he has any problems with them. He has a tendency to build up a lot of wax and so they showed him how to clean them. But if he runs into any problems they always tell him to come. Anything that we need they’re more than happy to provide and even make suggestions. We’ve always had a good experience with Beltone and we’ve referred people to them.

My companion had a hearing issue with one ear and went to Beltone for an ear examination. She told me to go with her and have my hearing checked too. The rep has really taken a personal interest in not just me, but everybody that I've seen come in for their hearing. He definitely wants everybody to hear better, and he's a good man. He told me to try these hearing aids, and what a world of difference they made. I could hear so much better. There were some things I didn't really want to hear. My next-door neighbor had three small children all under the age of six, and their very high-pitched voices were quite annoying, but I could hear them really good.
I really like my Beltone hearing aids. They go around the ear and there are three settings on it. One for everyday use and another for if you go to a restaurant. The third setting, which I really like, was set up by the rep so it's best used for me at church. It's awesome and I'm so comfortable with them. Where I used to work, ear protection was mandatory and I would always wear ear muffs. For a while, not very often, I was asked by my supervisor to go out and work production. And when I work production, it got too warm out on the line to wear the ear muffs, so I would wear ear plugs. I was always used to having something either in my ear or over my ear, so wearing hearing aids felt natural.
One major problem I had was one hearing aid went first, and then the other one went too. I went to see the rep at Beltone, but he couldn't do anything, and I had to send them out. I was without hearing aids for about a week, and I really missed them. But other than that, the hearing aids are unbelievable. Also, the people at the Allen Park Facility as well as the rep I worked with, really treated me and my companion with a lot of respect and care. They really wanted us to hear and hear well. It was a treat, not a treatment. And I have recommended Beltone to other people.

I needed hearing aids and I always see Beltone advertised on the paper. I got my hearing aids from them and I've been fairly pleased. I was also very pleased when I first visited them. I go in for a follow-up every four months. I had a hard time hearing and now, it's helped in conversations. I also have my TV down lower now that I have my hearing aids. I still have trouble with a lot of background noise. I've been trying to get a sound absorbing situation in the dining room here. And they are researching if that could help in the dining room. Overall, my experience with Beltone was very good. I'd recommend it.

My husband was the first one to have hearing aids because he has hearing loss. Then I started to have ringing in my ears. It's a nuisance and I don’t want to have hearing loss yet so I went to get a hearing aid ahead of time. I thought Beltone hearing aids would have better quality than others so I went with them. They're glad I came early. I've been using the hearing aid on my left ear and it is balanced. Since I had it, I haven't had a ringing sound in my ears. But I started getting vertigo and dizziness and the reps at Beltone noticed that it was my right ear that was causing the vertigo. It’s a little off balance. So they had to change the hearing aid to my right ear. They also said I can get the hearing aid for my other ear to keep them even. I got to wait for my insurance papers so they can give me the hearing aid for my left ear and I can get both of them even.
So far, the hearing aid sounds very clear and I'm adjusting to it already. I got it three days ago and it’s helping me. I'm under medication for vertigo, too and it's going away slowly. But I have to go back to Beltone on my eighth day and see how I'm doing. I'll let them know that the little wiring kind of pops out and there are times that the hearing aid doesn't fit into the ear right. It's probably too big.

I liked the salesman at Beltone so I purchased hearing aids from them. I have little bitty ears and they fit behind my ears. They were comfortable and they’re almost invisible. And most people don’t even know I have them. Aaron, Beltone's hearing care rep, is a very personable guy and he talked to me like he knew me for a long time. I moved and I followed him over to the other location that’s closer to where I’m at now. I went to see him a week or two ago for a tune up. He did a minor hearing test because I’ve been having trouble. And so, he readjusted the hearing aids and made them louder. Also, he checked my ears to see which was good and what was a bit worse. I like him and I would recommend him to anybody.
Aaron told me that I am certainly okay for three-year-old hearing aids. They certainly are fitting the bill. But if they wanted to lower the price or give a deal the next time I go, it would be a good thing. The hearing aids cost a lot. They're $6,000 and insurance covers $1,000 in my case. So that’s $5,000 coming out of my pocket. But I've had good experience with Beltone and I’d go to them again.

Beltone has four operations here in the Toledo area and they've got a long-standing, well-recognized name. The biggest problem I had was remembering to put the hearing aids on. I’m in the situation where I’m not really hearing deficient but my wife reminds me to put them on and it’s improved my life. Actually, they're so light that I don't even know I have them on. One of them even fell off the other day and I thought I’d lost it in the toilet but it turned out it was just behind the toilet. The hearing aid care professional Aaron was really good as well. He was professional and he handled himself well. Follow-up action is the key here and he calls me in for a visit every four months. I would do it again with Beltone.

On 4/6/17 I purchased 2 Beltone hearing aids at a price of $5250 each (coupon for $750 off and financed $9000 through Allegra). It is now July and am just totally frustrated with the purchase. I've actually had a friend say "Take those darn things out of your ears so we can talk." I was told they have three settings and I do hear better in church but otherwise it is just frustration with TV, normal conversations and actually a crowded place with many speaking is a nightmare. People being loud across the room interferes with normal conversation. Face to face conversations have almost the same sound as a Rudy Vallee recording on a Victrola with a bad needle.
I've been back a few times for service and do NOT want to be running back on a regular basis when I can actually hear more naturally by cupping my ears than by donning my hearing aids. I've never had hearing aids and have had hearing problems since elementary school. Possibly I am expecting too much but others who have aids swear by them while I seem to swear at them. I have no complaint about the service, which has been pleasant, only about the product. The overall value just isn't there. I would advise others to shop around and make your own decision. There should be fantastic hearing aids out there for well under $10,000.00 a pair.

I got mail from Beltone for a free ear check. I already had hearing aids. I went over, had them checked and they hadn’t been working for a year. So I got new hearing aids from Beltone which was a step below the most expensive one. I like the Bluetooth in my ear. I hear in my left ear so I don't have to worry about it. It’s easy and convenient. But I went over to get a box of batteries from the Beltone offices and villages for the month of April because I had free batteries for the first year. And they said they don’t do that. I had my Beltone Blue Gold Benefits card with my ID number. The lady wouldn't give me any but she sold me a box of batteries. I didn't have to borrow any money from the bank to buy the batteries. But Aaron at the Beltone office takes good care of me. Since I’ve bought the hearing aids, I can hear better sometimes. I also got a military discount from Beltone and I was treated right.

When we went to Beltone, it was just for my husband at that time. The guy there asked me if I would be willing to take a test. I told him I don't like things in my ears and I've always been scared of even putting an ear plug in there because I always had trouble with my ears when I was little. I knew my left ear was bad because I had an operation on that. I gave it a try and the doctor said there's still hearing in my left ear but it's not that good. My right ear is a little better than my left ear. We liked our doctor and after I had the test, they gave me these hearing aids. At first, I wasn't sure about them but they're doing okay and I hear better now. I have no trouble putting them in or putting my batteries in. The doctor also said there's a kit we can use to clean our ears and I have cleaned my husband's already.
My husband has lost one hearing aid though. We were on a trip and there was really loud music. It didn't bother me but he took his out and put them in his pocket. When we got back to our motel, he took them out and he only had one. We couldn't find the other one and we didn't know where to look. Then we went back to Beltone and Greg got him another one.
We're really happy with Beltone. My friends don't have to speak so loud anymore. In my left ear, I still sometimes have to turn towards a person. Then, I can hear them because I'm reading their lips but there are times that they would smile and I just smile back but I guess I didn't hear something they told me. We got an appointment at the end of this month to go back and have our ears checked. I can't believe two little things like these can help somebody hear better. I would recommend Beltone to somebody else if they need hearing aids.

I like that I put my Beltone Hearing Aids in and I don't have to manipulate it. Very seldom do I get where they have to squeal or some way they get feedback. It helped me immensely and I love it. Mine has a couple of options that I can switch but his has only three.
The hearing aid professional did a good job and he's real personable. We see him every three months and he helps maintain the hearing aids. It's a pretty big investment to not have someone help me maintain them. I'm losing my sight and I couldn't read lips anymore so my hearing was really important. I've been very pleased and it's been beyond my expectations. They're my treasures. I have recommended them to friends.

I went home with this 30-day guarantee, after one day, it hurt so bad, I took them back and I did not want to talk to those people again. I went to Beltone and their people treated me wonderfully and gave me all kinds of information. They were also wonderful and awesome. At the time, I got the highest-level hearing aid. Since having them, my husband doesn't tell me that everything is too loud anymore. I also noticed that when I don't hear well, I speak louder but now I'm good.
I go in every couple of months to get my hearing aids checked and it's always positive from the staff right up to my audiologist. I really like the people that I deal with in the Kalamazoo area. However, I get people sending me information from Battle Creek, Hastings, and I don't know why they keep soliciting me but I'm going to the people that sold them to me. My sister got an ad in the mail about Beltone Hearing Aids and we went together. It was fun. We asked a lot of questions and were impressed with the owner of Beltone in Montana and Iowa where he was originally from. He seemed to really have a lot of information and know what he was talking about. We asked him some questions specifically about Beltone and in regard to other companies and he was forthcoming. In addition, we asked him some specific questions about other things we'd heard about other types of hearings aids and he seemed to be very straightforward in his answers. He didn’t try to sell us and we didn’t feel pressured plus he didn’t badmouth any of the other providers in town.
I got one of their top-of-the-line hearing aids and they're comfortable that I forget I even have them on. We could have gotten something cheaper at Costco but they didn’t have some of the same features and weren’t as up-to-date plus he was able to get some from our insurance so it helped balance it out. We go back regularly for rechecks where he looks at the hearings aids, replaces anything needed or adjusts it and it’s all included in the price we paid for them. The batteries are included so we don’t have to buy batteries and we’ve gotten good treatment from him. It made me hear better and understand what's going on. My sister particularly was missing a lot of words or couldn’t distinguish one word from another and I noticed that she's not missing as many she used to.
I can definitely hear better and I can realize if I forget to put them in one morning especially if I had them in then taken them out in the shower and forget to put them back in, I start feeling as though I'm not hearing as well as I should. We've been very happy with the product and service. The manager always seemed pleased to see us and takes plenty of time to go over everything and answer any questions we have. We also had him come talk to a women’s group we belong to because we realized how important good hearing is and to treat it early on although most of us don’t realize how much hearing we've lost.

I decided to go to another service for verification after the county deaf services office said I should wait with the little info I had. By then my ears had started acting up and her husband gave me her hearing aids but they didn’t wanna try to fit them for me. I turned hers in and they gave me some credits for that, and then I bought the hearing aids. The hearing care professionals are both very pleasant and helpful. Eric used to be there too and he was very nice as well. They're all lovely people and they run a nice ship there.
They've told me to bring it in for them to look over if I have any issues and I've kept on thinking something wasn't right for a while so I went over there the other day. The girl said it was the earwax that was giving me trouble. She cleaned it up and it made a complete difference. Then she suggested I use a little hydrogen peroxide with a bit of water and keep it in my ear. After waiting three seconds, I bend it out and flush it. That was a good hint and it really made a difference for me.
However, I don't care for the hearing aids. I have to hang them over my ear and push those little things in my ear, but I'm stuck with them. I didn’t realize how bad my left ear had become. But they have definitely helped with the hearing. That was the purpose and they did make a difference. They've made it nicer for me to hear stuff and I can't fault them at all. I would definitely recommend Beltone.

My sister thought I needed to take a hearing test, and then she said, "I'll go if you go." Not long after that, I got mail from Beltone and it said "free exam", which I only then realized that most people do have a free exam. Most of the women I know go to Costco but I just wasn’t totally sold on Costco. So, I thought I would check Beltone out and see what happens and then probably check out Costco also. I went to Beltone with my sister and we were so impressed with Rodney, the Beltone guy here in Billings, and what he had to say, that we didn’t even bother going to Costco. It turns out that we both had quite a significant hearing loss. We were both surprised and I didn’t even realize that I needed hearing aids.
I purchased the $5000 kind and there's a piece that goes over the ear and then in. It also has Bluetooth so it syncs with my phone and I can hear my phone through my hearing aids. Just the fact that I can hear better is the wow factor and I also appreciate that they’re so simple to use. Then, we had Rodney come and speak to a group we belong to, Newcomers of Billings. We told him that he can't really push his product and that it was more informative about hearing loss and he did just that. He did a marvelous job and everybody enjoyed hearing what he had to say. I'm just really tickled with them. We had a great time with Beltone and the experience was actually fun. I have an appointment this afternoon and they usually call and remind us about the appointments.
Rodney also sees my sister and me at the same time, which is fun. It's nice to have somebody else, especially in getting used to them. We could help each other out, compare, and ask each other questions. Then we save up our questions for Rodney. Every time we’d go in, we’re laughing most of the time. He's just personable, knowledgeable and helpful. One time, the piece that fits into my ear fell off and I couldn’t get it back in, and I just went in and he did it in two seconds and that was it. I know I can stop in there anytime with any question.

Everything seemed to be on the up and up and that's why I bought them. I've lost 80% of my hearing and my hearing has been considerably better with them. The only complaint I have about them is the cost of the batteries. It's $6 a pack and I can only buy them at certain places. Also at West Bay Hearing Center I had those at $3,000, but I paid $5,000 for this. They're a little bit on the expensive side. In some of the areas, they charge a lot more than what they should. But any more life in this country is nothing but expensive.
Also, I couldn't ask for a better professional. He was great and easy to work with. My problem, however, is I got through a surgery for a triple bypass. Before that, I was forgetting a lot of stuff. This is when I had my first heart attack. I got to a point where they'd make an appointment and I'd forget for the next day. I don't think they appreciated it but I can't help it. If I can't hear it, I can't hear it. I've been back twice. I had to pay $35 because they had to send them back in to get something fixed. It could have been my own fault and the guy had it corrected and got it back in operation.
I get the hearing aids off when I clean them because it gets wax and all those dirt goes in. It blocks up the metal thing that carries the voice and the sounds. I'm about ready to take my hearing aids in and have them cleaned up with their ear machines and stuff because they can clean them better than I can. All I got is that little brush and that metal thing that they gave me and that doesn't do that much of cleaning. But whenever they clean them, they do a good job on it and had lasted for quite a while.

I purchased the hearing aid from Beltone that goes in the ear. The rep that fit my hearing aid didn't know what he was doing, as well as the next two people. They had professionals but they wouldn't use them. I went back dozens of times and all they did was amplify everything. They didn't take care of my hearing problem. When they sold them to me, they said that they would make me hear. But as soon as I paid for them, they said my hearing was the kind that they had a hard time taking care of. So, they lied to me upfront. Beltone hearing aids are completely worthless. They're the worst and I quit using them. I have a different brand now and I'm a lot more satisfied with them.

I called Beltone and I was lucky enough to get in. I was satisfied with the check-ups that they provided. Also, their salesman was very congenial and I felt he was honest. And so, I stayed with them. The first hearing aids I bought were the regular ones but they couldn't be turned up. This time they cost $4,000 and my favorite is being able to turn them down and turn them up. My overall experience has been very good. I have referred my husband and he's having hearing aids from them too.

When we were in Missouri, we sent my husband to an audiologist and got into Beltone from there. The hearing aids cost us almost $9,000 but without them, he can hear hardly anything. It enhances the voice so he can hear what people are saying. However, we didn't care for one rep there because he was pushing for a different kind of hearing aid saying it was so much better. But my husband was perfectly happy with his Beltone. So, we went to a different Beltone place and got along greatly with the reps there. When we moved up here in Iowa, we looked to the nearest Beltone store. We visit every three months and Nathan is absolutely super. He is very professional and very patient with my husband. His personality fits his job. We really like him and we would recommend him to anybody. It's been a great experience with Beltone.

I'm retired and the money is not that plentiful, but I get by and I can hear with Beltone. I've been with them since before 2000 and my husband had one as well. I got the one that goes over the ear and I like that I can control the volume on it. The other ones that I had, if I tip it over, the battery falls out of it on the left side, but these do not and that's a big improvement to me. If I have any problems, I can go over there and they fix them. They're very nice people. I praise them every place I go and I've seen a lot of people wear them too. They take care of me and they're very friendly.

My daughter-in-law's mother had a pair of Beltone hearing aids and she passed away. They were at the nursing home and we took them to Beltone here in Des Moines and the guy said he was glad we gave it back because you're not supposed to use somebody else's. Then he gave me a hearing test and that's how I got started. Also, I have some hearing loss in my right ear due to shingles. However, the salesperson screwed up and he knew it. I looked at the $3,000 one and I said that I really favored the in-the-ear type because I wear glasses sometimes and I don't want that thing over my ear. Then he took it upon himself to check my credit rating. But I had just bought a new car so they denied it and that's on my record. I was so mad at him that I almost didn't buy the doggone hearing aids. He didn't know I was going to pay cash and he really jumped the gun on that one.
Sometimes I wear the hearing aids, but sometimes I don't. I wish I didn't have to wear them but the quality is good. I can hear and there is a difference. Plus, I like that it has two buttons on it. One is for sitting across the table with somebody and another one is for across an auditorium. I would recommend it to anyone that feels that they need one and I have.

Beltone offered Bluetooth and that's the biggest reason I bought hearing aids from them. I could Bluetooth it into my phone so I can do the different settings for volume and different things through my phone. I got the one that wraps behind my ear as that’s what they offered. They'd give me a card telling me when my appointment would be. Then the hearing care professional has been very helpful as well. He’s been there to clean the hearing aids and do whatever I needed. It’s been all positive. However, it's expensive, but the quality is okay. I’ve had an excellent experience.

Normally, people that need hearing aids don’t admit and so one has got to convince them. My wife finally told me that I gotta do something and I realized it. I had gone to others and they had done a test procedure on me. When I went to Beltone, they did quite a job in explaining things. They took into consideration my overall health conditions which no one else had. I have cancer and they explained to me how that affects hearing and that was very well done.
The first hearing aids that I bought was the top-of-the-line four years ago and I've upgraded since then. It's behind the ear and it has the cord that goes down in the hearing piece and into the ear. It was the newest, had some enhancements to it, and was probably the most expensive. I'm still working and I have multiple situations. I may be listening in a church to someone upfront speaking or I may be in a restaurant with clients. I also need to have that particular issue compensated for. Then I may be alone with someone and I have to be able to understand them.
I can control the different places that I am on my phone if I'm in a restaurant or a high or little noise type of thing. It looked like it would be pretty good. The guy that tested me said that I really need a higher tech so I took his word for it. The first gentleman I spoke with was Peter and he’s in charge of a region. And I'm now dealing with Eric who is just as good on the technical side. They are all so personable and interested in my personal well-being.
Since I've had it I don’t have trouble hearing most frequencies now. I can understand people from a distance and a speaker from a group. I can hear the television where I don’t have to turn up the volume. Then for my wife, well-being. I also use the hearing aids on my cellphone. I have the thing that I wear around my neck and speak over that when I answer the phone without holding up to my ear. That helps out a lot especially if I'm driving. I've recommended it to several people.

We love the quality of the Beltone hearing aids, but if it hadn't have been for our General Motors insurance, we could not have afforded almost $14000 a pair. They're expensive but it was certainly worth it. My mom got a set at HCare for $6000 that works perfectly well. I have one ear now that's much smaller than my other one and everything works out wonderfully. The quality is wonderful and the services are great. The technician went out of his way to explain everything and made everything seems easy to use. He's been exceptional and he has brought us in for check ups.
My life has been much better since I got the hearing aids. When we watch television, my husband always had the TV on 20 and when he goes to bed I'd put it on 7. My hearing was bad in a different way and having the hearing aids makes a big difference, especially in crowds. When I'm at home, I can have my hearing aids set on 1. And when we go out to dinner and it's a little louder and a lot of people are talking, I can put it on two. When I'm with my mom, whose in a nursing home, and it's very noisy, I can put it on three and I know what she's saying then so I love the fact that we can adjust the setting. The batteries are also easy to put in and out if it needed to be changed. I've recommended Beltone to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who are getting them from Gary. And then my brother is getting them out in Vegas. He drove almost a 100 miles to get a Beltone person because of the features that we like so well.

We're happy with my mom's hearing aid. It's the thing that goes two bits, there's something that goes inside of the ear and then a little skinny tube goes behind the ear. I am the one that puts them on her because she's got dementia. I liked Mike, the salesman that runs the Beltone office. I could have gone with somewhere else if it wasn't for him. He was nice, caring, knows his business and helped us out decide on what kind of hearing aid to get. The first one didn't work out very good and he had to do some tweaking with the part that goes into her ear because her canal was made different than her other ear. He had been really patient and it's good now. She had lost half hearing in both ears and now she can hear so it made a big impact in her hearing.

I have two kinds of Beltone hearing aids. I've got one that went over the ear but that didn’t work too well for me. I wear wigs and the over-the-ear hearing aid would interfere with getting my wigs on. Had I known that beforehand, I wouldn’t have gotten them. But I still have them and I can wear them when I don’t have my wigs on. So now I have the kind that goes right in the ear and I like that. I forget they’re even on and I’m always afraid I will lose them. So far, I've misplaced them a couple of times but I found them. I’ve gotten used to them and if I get them in right, they stay good.
The hearing aids help me with my balance and I’m very happy with them. They’re better for me when I watch TV, especially if I want to watch a movie. I can hear the news okay without them but if I want to listen to a movie, they help me a lot. But I don’t wear them all the time. I’m good in the morning but by afternoon, I need to wear them.
Overall, I'm satisfied with Beltone. I went with them and they’re expensive but I can afford them if they help me. And then the rep from Beltone was very nice. He taught me how to clean the hearing aids better so that they don’t get clogged up so soon. I never knew much about them before then I got right into it and I like them as long as I don’t lose them. It’s quite new to me and so I’m learning to be better at it.

They do help my hearing sometimes but I get so many strange noises and distorted sounds that I cannot continuously wear them. I have the device out more than I have them in.
The office manager hearing aid salesman, Matt, doesn't know much about hearing but I've told him about it time and time and he ignores me. I go in there constantly and I tell him about my hearing issues and he makes me feel that I'm crazy. Although Matt is a nice guy, I don't think he knows enough about hearing itself to be in the business. Admittedly, he is a marketing major, he knows how to sell stuff. But I wish I had never gone to a hearing aid salesman. I wish I had started with somebody who knows about hearing that being an audiologist and not a hearing aid salesman. For what it's worth, he tears them apart and puts it back together. That's about all he does. They give me free batteries which are nice. I should have never bought the second pair but he assured me the technology was better.

One time, we had to see a Beltone rep because one of the hearing aids wouldn't work because it was clogged up. The rep cleaned them for me, but it's a pain to keep them cleaned up. Another time, the hearing aids were popping out of my ears so I had to go back to Beltone to get the molds done. Nevertheless, I like the hearing aids and they've been good. I've had my hearing aid from Beltone for about nine months. I had another hearing aid set from HearingLife before, but I lost one of the pair and had no chance of finding it. But the HearingLife representative in this town where I come that's close to where I do my business was off and on didn't have anybody in the office. It was kind of hit-and-miss, and I needed to find something that was steady. So, I got the hearing aid from Beltone, and so far, it has been performing very well. The hearing aids from these two companies are reasonably close, but they're a little different. The one from Beltone has a couple of features that I like better. I had Bluetooth attached to both hearing aids, but the previous one had a separate connector through the phone. With Beltone, I like the plan where I can change the mode through my smart phone as well, for outdoors and all around.
I don't recommend anybody getting hearing aids, but if you've got to, get everything that you can get on them because it doesn't cost any more to have that done. I would have just had the regular one, but this is the mid-range one. There are some hearing aids that are more expensive and there are less expensive ones, but this one hits the bell for me.
I have to go to the hearing care professionals to have them check my hearing aid every two to three months. I've got an appointment to go in, and I just drop in. If I notice that the hearing aid is not working quite right, I go in and they clean the receptacles. I have a job where I have to go to a lot of meetings and my hearing aid definitely makes it better for me that I don't have to strain so much to hear. The only thing I have an issue with is that my wife needs a hearing aid, too, but she won't admit it and she thinks she's okay. But she has the TV turned up so loud, and I have to take my hearing aid out so I don't get blasted out of the room. I would recommend to a friend and someone else to go to Beltone. They were very competent. I had no issues there and the service after my purchase has been very satisfactory.

Having Beltone has helped me immensely and my hearing is better. It's surprising. There are times that people can't hear and I do. I pick up on things that other people don't. We also bought the battery charger and I think that is a lifesaver instead of the batteries. I take them off at night, put them on the battery charger and it charges right up. I don't have to change batteries every six days. It's just automatically done. I take the battery charger with me if we go on a trip and just plug it in. Overall, it's been very good and I'm glad I did Beltone. I have mentioned Beltone to a friend of ours and Beltone sent me a gift certificate worth $100 for using them. But my friend, Peggy, never got one.

My husband dealt with a Beltone hearing aid specialist for years and years, and I like him. I also like the availability of no matter where we are, there is a Beltone. The hearing aid care professional said that I could come back, anytime I needed to, so I had them adjust it a couple of times. I also had to have something adjusted when I was in Florida, and it went beautifully.
I wear the hearing aids to meetings because there are a couple of people that are very, very soft spoken. So, I like to make sure I have them in when I'm talking with them. But ordinarily, for everyday things, I don't wear the hearing aids all the time. To which, I was admonished for by the hearing aid specialist in Florida. We've been really happy with the service, and I highly approve of everything they did.

I got the one that goes in and around the back of my ear which was what the doctor thought would be the one for me. I work at Walmart as a cashier and the hearing aid has helped a lot. I purchased an adjustable, beige-looking device that goes in my ear. I’ve had it for about four or five months now and I love it. I can hear well and it's nice to hear people's voices. I'd recommend my friends to go to Beltone so they can hear well. Hopefully, they'll go soon. Beltone can help and they give batteries.

Years ago when my father-in-law lived with us, he was so deaf and I couldn’t make him hear anything. Beltone was the only name I knew and he was so pleased with them. He didn’t like the price, but the hearing aids helped him hear. He told me that he could hear the birds walk with them.
When I had their rep Mike, everything was fine. My husband was in an assisted living place and the people there who had dementia or one kind or another just kind of picked up things and walked away with them. And I had to keep buying more and more, and Mike was so good about it. Or the hearing aids would get damaged and he would fix them for me.
But I don’t like Gary, the new guy that Beltone has got. He’s the one who sold me the ones that are just the little bud that I stick in my ear. I had a slight stroke about five months before, and my left hand would not manipulate that thing to get it in my ear. He did not let me try it myself. And I was very upset with him because he not only sold me those, he grabbed my old ones off the table before I could even pick them up and put them in my pocket. He took them so I had nothing that I could hear with. He was too much of a hustler. I’m 92 years old and I wanted something so I could hear. And he just pushed it. I was not satisfied with it and I couldn’t use it.
He also charged me too much because when I got my bill from my explanation of benefits from my insurance company, he had billed about $4,000. And he had told me he was giving me a really great deal because he was taking $2,000 off here and $2,000 off there. And so, I called them and explained what my problem was, and the rep connected me with the main office. So, they finally made me some new ones with the embedded bud in soft plastic and they look like the old ones I had.
And another thing that really irritated me was that I had an appointment for 9:30 in the morning when I got the buds. They had called me about 9 o’clock as soon as they opened up and told me that they couldn’t take me till 11:30. I figured it’ll only be an hour or so and I can do it. Before I got out of that building and was able to go home, it was about 3:30 and I was starving. I told that to the one who I talked to in the main office. I noticed when I went in for a checkup that they had some cookies sitting there. But this time I didn’t have to wait because I asked specifically for Mike. And they did their best considering my hand. I do hear with the new hearing aids, but I cannot hear distinctly. People talk and I get the gist of what they’re saying usually, but I can't hear the specific sounds that they’re saying. Also, the batteries don’t last long enough and I hope Beltone's gonna give me a bonus of a pack of them. Nevertheless, I would recommend Mike any day of the week. He is great.

The 30-day trial of the Beltone hearing aids was not enough. I do a lot of sweating when I exercise and every time I exercise, I got static wearing the hearing aids. It was recommended that I don't use them when I exercise and it wasn’t summertime when I tried them so I was concerned that I would have issues come summertime. So I thought I didn’t want to go with that and didn't purchase the hearing aids. But other than that, the sales, product, technician and the guy I’ve worked with were very helpful and good.

My first visit to Beltone after I got diagnosed by a doctor and referred by my Insurance Company was in November 2016. I went there, they did a second test and I went out of there with a pink copy of a bill of sale for $2,500 dollars. They submitted a claim to my Insurance Co. for $3,500. After several months of waiting because they never received a check, or the Insurance Company sent the check to another Beltone in another city several times according to the lady in the front called Gloria or they finally filed up their w9 with the correct address with the Insurance Company, they called me and asked me to go because they received the check. I got there and Mr. ** ask me which kind of hearing aid I preferred. After I told them that I wanted the one inside the ear he said that for that I will need to pay almost $1,900 dollars.
I was surprised as same as my husband and we asked why that amount? And he explained that was the difference of the price of the hearing aids I choose and the check they received. I told him that I choose the one for 2,500 and he said that wasn't true, that I signed a paper choosing the more expensive one, and I ask to see the paper that they said I sign. He showed it to me and I realized that they have altered the number 2 for 3 and my husband got upset because I have a copy of the bill of sale they had given me back in November and I showed it to him. My husband told him that he was dishonest and we left. I called my Insurance company and told them what happen and they told me that Beltone has submitted several claims in my name. First for 3,500 then for 7,000, and then again for 3,500.
Of all of the checks they sent only the last one was cashed and that I should have my pair of hearing aids. That I should go back and ask them to call the Insurance with me in there and the lady Gloria in the front desk said that at that point they will not give me any more service because they didn't think I will be happy with their service, and they will return the money to the Insurance Company. At this point I am very disappointed after 5 months of waiting I ended up with nothing. They don't care about the clients, they are dishonest and the hearing aids are overpriced and I ask myself how many altered claims do they submit to the Insurance Companies? I hope somebody do something about this!

His helper would also call and say, "It's time" and would give me an appointment date. Usually, I get a card before I leave the office. So, I got a heads up and I can call them if I cannot make it to my appointment especially if I have another doctor's appointment. I've never had a problem at all with Beltone and they've been very polite. My hearing aids work well.

And with the aids I had before, I couldn't wear my headsets in the airplane. I couldn't hear the controllers talking to me. I got very good service in Florida, and then I lived in Bloomington, Indiana where Tyler, the local person here, serviced the hearing aids a number of times for free when they weren't working correctly. I've had my hearing aids serviced twice. One made money off of me. The other didn't. They've both been extremely helpful, and I have nothing but good things to say about Beltone.

The hearing care professional did the hearing aid test and told me where my hearing loss was and had my wife come in and we discussed it so she would know. I told them what I was looking for. He showed me the in-the-ear hearing aids and that's what we ended up purchasing. I like that people can't see that I have them in.
They helped me at first with the hearing aids when the guy put them in and things were different but then you've got to figure out exactly how you want them so you can hear better. So, he has adjusted them a few times for me and it all worked out well. He scheduled for me to come in every month and have them cleaned and checked to make sure that I'm getting a quality that I want out of them. He's very good at that. Now, I can hear a lot better. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got the Beltone hearing aids.
I really appreciate them taking the time and the care that they provide for us and they continue to do that after the purchase. They're more interested in helping me here than they are selling their product. I'm real pleased with Beltone and the gentleman that's helping me out. We've had to send back both of my hearing aids. But, they replaced them and it didn't take them that long to do it so it's not a big deal. I've had a great experience with Beltone.

I'm very up-to-date on my Beltone hearing aids. It's been two years since I got them. I had this little thing that fits over and then in the ear, but I had a quick check in Choteau and have them changed to the Beltone Legend which placed in the one ear that has very poor hearing. The previous one I had is the easiest to use because the Legend is larger and a little harder to get in, though it enhances the hearing. Now I'm going to have a thorough check-up with Gary, the Beltone manager in Great Falls, to check where my hearing is. Dealing with their hearing care professional has been very successful and easy to work with. It's been a while since he's totally tested and he said he wants to do that. Having the hearing aids empowers me to be able to be more with people and listen to TV. It's not perfect but having hearing aids that work is certainly something to have when having a hearing loss.

The hearing aid has made quite a lot of difference, but there are some places where it doesn’t work too well. If I am in a group where there’s a lot of talking and stuff going on, there’s too much background noise. I’ve taken them in and Ruben has made quite a few changes on it. The other evening, the left one all of a sudden just goes off and then maybe 30 minutes later, it's back on. So it's kind of weird. Recently the casing of one of his units came apart, so he took it to be repaired. That was two weeks ago. He has called regularly to find out about the status of the hearing aids' repair and can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone working at that location... every time he speaks to someone there it's another befuddled excuse.

I needed hearing aids back in 2011. I got tired of saying, "Huh," at everybody and started filling a word so they'd start laughing at me because I'd say the wrong word. I told my wife that I'd get some hearing aids but my dad also needed them. I'd talked to a few people, especially my dad and one of my other brothers-in-law said he was interested in dad's hearing aid, too. They ended up buying a bunch of cheap pieces but it didn't work as it should so I thought I wouldn't go down that road and I'd get a Beltone. I got my first pair of Beltone hearing aids for $5000 in North Wichita and they cost a chunk of change.
I wore them until I had my first surgery on my knee and then found out I had to take my hearing aids off prior to the surgery. I gave them to my wife and after I got out of the hospital, I couldn't find the other one. I went back to Beltone and ordered another pair which costs $5550. I like both my first and second sets of hearing aids but I like the second better. It's the 312 which is nicer, a little bit bigger and they last me about five days every time I put a pair in. I've been happy with them ever since.
The reps at Betone are absolutely top-notch but I don't like the batteries that they're peddling because they are no good. The little tabs that are stuck on the batteries are so stinking short. When people get older, and their fingernails are no good and they don't have good dexterity in their hands or fingers, those are terrible. I picked up a package of batteries at the doctor's office the other day. They weren't Beltone batteries but they were the same size and the same kind that Beltone has. I could hardly pull the little tabs to put them in and I almost needed a pair of tweezers to pick them off. So my only suggestion is to make the tabs longer on the battery. I've recommended Beltone to my friends and my brother-in-law.

Also, something isn't right because after I've worn them for three or four hours, I hear a clicking sound in both mandible areas on my face and one side is real sore. Every time I wear them, the clicking sound gets worse in my jaw and when I bend my head down, if I'm chewing on something, my jaw clicks into place and locks. My daughter and her friend are also having these problems. I've mentioned it to Beltone and I don't know if it's the magnetism in the batteries but I'm gonna have to go see an ENT and find out.
Also, I know I'm supposed to wear them all the time and it's supposed to do something with the brain chemistry and how the brain works. But after I take them out, everything sounds hollow like I'm in a tunnel. So I'm not real pleased with the way they are at this point. But other than that, the people are very nice and very helpful and I don't think there's anything out there that is any better.

I purchased a set of Beltone Legend 17 devices in Winchester, Virginia, and I have to say that I found the staff there to be very helpful and professional. Everything was explained to me, particularly on the technical end, including the ability to use a smartphone (Samsung or Apple) with my devices. I left very happy with my newfound ability to hear more clearly. I'm not very advanced in years, only 44 when I purchased the devices and was only 35 when my hearing began to degrade from a progressive condition. For the first several months I had the devices I was quite pleased, and I still am overall happy with the results.
My issue is more on the support side of things, but not the support from the point of sale. I reside abroad and specifically purchased hearing aids from Beltone because of the availability of local support. I had one device fail and the local office examined the device, found no evidence of misuse, but determined that it was not functioning. Instead of sending it for repair themselves, they told me I had to return it to the store where it was purchased. When I called them to make arrangements, the person on the other end was quite surprised and told me that the local service should have been able to take care of it. Needless to say, I'm not happy to have spent a fair chunk on shipping. I've reached out to Beltone about the matter and am awaiting a response.
Again, overall I like the devices. They do tend to use battery at a fair clip. I get about 4 days out of them. I buy in bulk to save a little money, and I'm not bothered by having to change them. The benefits far outweigh that little issue. I would definitely recommend anyone in the U.S. consider Beltone for their needs. I would suggest exercising caution when purchasing to take abroad.

I called around to a whole bunch of hearing places to find out who would be making a monthly appointment in Conrad. I chose Beltone because they came every month. However, I don't think the hearing aid was designed very well for me. I’m still not able to be in a crowd and when I go outside, I just take them out because the wind is so bad. They said that they’ll keep making adjustments and see if anything works but nothing does. My Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield allowed me so much for hearing aid and I wasn’t gonna go above that in price. However, now I can visit with my husband in the vehicle.

I’ve heard of Beltone for years and as I got in the market for hearing aids, the brand recognition was significant. I wanted to see what they had to offer and I did shop the market fairly heavily. I saw audiologists and MDs, tried a number of products, and settled on the solution that seemed to work best for me. I got Beltone's Prime hearing aids and their folks have been great. The local fellow who ran the office up where I got them in Great Falls, Montana was very professional and knowledgeable.
Since I purchased my hearing aids, I have been working around the country in various locations and have been able to walk into any Beltone office and have been met with a smile and friendly face. They would do the cleanings and no questions asked. There is a really good kind of reciprocity across the different providers. They take good care of me and I like the fact that I can get nationwide service. Beltone's impact in my life is noticeable. I always had a lot of trouble hearing my wife. She’s a very soft spoken woman and so our communication’s improved. In meetings where I struggled to listen before, I can hear now. I’d recommend my Beltone Prime. They’re outstanding.

My hearing aids have helped me considerably. I can hear again, and my wife doesn't get mad at me all the time anymore. Also, I like that they're lightweight and very comfortable

My husband had Beltone for about 10 years and he has their hearing aids that go into the ear. Then I also got one for my dad. He's had a couple of strokes and that was part of what's caused his hearing loss. We had a trial for it and he got the one that goes behind the ear since it wasn't bulky and he liked that better than having something within the ear.
As far as the volume, I control my dad's hearing aids usually with my iPhone. I can see that he's doing a lot more socializing. But with his age at 92 years old, it's hard to tell whether sometimes it's a lack of concentration, it's Alzheimer's, or he's just not paying attention as far as whether he's hearing or not. If you just started talking, he doesn't even realize it. But if you sit there and rap on the table, and have him pay attention, then he hears and understands what you're saying.
We go up to the Beltone store together, all three of us, because my husband gets his hearing aids checked and redone at the same time. We like the hearing care professional very well. He's not pushy, so we've had a very positive experience with him. His office staff are very nice and professional as well. We've been going back on a regular basis once a month, until the weather started to go bad on us in Montana. Our last visit was in November. But I'll go back again probably in March and have my dad rechecked, and then probably do this every two months so it's on a regular basis. It's been a very positive experience with Beltone and I have recommended them. We're looking to possibly see whether my husband is in need of some new hearing aids. We keep up with the newest gadgets.

The only thing is it's very difficult in crowded situations when there's a lot of people talking.

My experience with Beltone has all been positive. I purchased four hearing aids from them, two for the left and two for the right. The first pair I purchased didn’t quite do the job and when I purchased the second pair, their rep who was capable and knew what he was doing suggested that I have it because they have a Bluetooth. I’m 86 years old and the hearing aids do not make me hear like I did when I was 20, but I do appreciate the fact that I can most likely hear on the telephone because of that Bluetooth put in. I’m doing better with the hearing aids than I would without them. That’s best that I can expect. I meet with their rep about once every two months and for a while he adjusted the hearing a couple of times and now he cleans them and checks over everything. I haven't had any problems and I’m satisfied with Beltone.

I've known about Beltone for a long time and my neighbor was satisfied with her hearing aids so I went with them. But I didn’t go until a neighbor of mine could take me there. It was in Des Moines, which is 40 miles away. Mold was poured in my ear and the hearing aid was made from that. It has the thing that goes over the ear. I've talked with one of their professionals a little bit, and he wanted to know exactly how everything was, and I told him how it was sounding. He adjusted it to fit me, and it’s doing fine. I’m getting more used to it but last night, someone hit a high note and it wasn’t that good on my hearing aids. Also, I haven’t had the hearing aids very long, and I'll be going down to get my next batch of batteries in a few days. They have me scheduled to come down there and they'll check it again and give me more batteries.

I told my mom one time that she can't hear anything and that she has to go get hearing aids. We were recommended to Beltone by some of our friends that live in Billings, Montana. My mom tried the one piece plasticky ones that go way down in the ear which didn’t work, but the other ones that have the little speaker poked down in there with the tube from the other part of the hearing aid item works really well.
Everybody hates hearing aids, but once she made the step to go get it and paid the money she said, “I’m gonna make this work. I’m not just gonna set it on the shelf.” She got one in June but had a bad ear infection and that put the brakes on a whole bunch of stuff, but she’s over that now. It had nothing to do with the hearing aid but she goes once every three months. They really want to keep on top of it and make sure she has no problems. The one that she has now has this thing that hangs behind the ear and then the tube goes down into the ear canal. She told me the other day, “You know, I used to knock the receptor down so it wasn’t quite so loud with some applications. I don’t even do that anymore. I don’t even think about them.”
She’s been very astute. She’s worn them faithfully and doesn’t miss as much because before, she would be in the conversation, just smiling, but I knew she wasn’t hearing one thing that was going on. Now, she can hear, at least most of the time and has been involved in some of the city politics and an ambulance board. She goes to a lot of meetings and hearings, so it’s been a very positive move. We give Beltone a plus.

First off let me say this, I paid almost $8,000 for Beltone hearing aids. At that price, I should have exceptional service. The Beltone Audiologist is in my area once a week. If I need emergency maintenance, I have to set up an appointment. If hearing aids need repairing, they have to be sent off for weeks at the time. If I need waxguards, I have to buy them from audiologists. They are not offered online. Beltone is a money hungry company that is taking advantage of the hearing impaired.

The people at Beltone have been really helpful, and I can't complain about them trying to resolve my issues with my Beltone hearing aid. There are some things about it that I'm not happy with, but I'm not sure what the problem is. My left ear is worse than the right ear. When I had a lot of earwax, they changed the little bud thing that goes down inside the little bigger one so they'd keep it out of the earwax, and I get an echo in the hearing aids. At Church, we have speakers and I get the shrill in it. So, I take the hearing aids out when I'm at Church.
I've been back at the Beltone store many times and they've adjusted my hearing aids and so on. When I bought the hearing aids, I thought I'll put them in my ears and they were good to go, but I'm going back all the time to have them fix things. For the amount of money I paid for the things, I expected a lot better results than what I'm getting.
This is the first experience I've had with hearing aids, and before I bought them, I talked to my daughter-in-law who bought hearing aids from another store and paid about the same price. So then, I started looking around and there were hearing aids that are a lot cheaper than what I paid. I don't know if they're as good as what I got, but I talked to one man who said he had Beltones before and they wore out. So, he switched to another one that he is really happy with, and they were about a third of what I paid to Beltone. I wish I would've shopped more and asked a few more questions with different people before I bought from Beltone.

My ENT doctor told me I needed hearing aids. My problem is I'm starting to lose some of those little ear cells that goes around in the cochlea. I live near a Beltone store and I happened to be going by that way so I decided to stop and let them tell me how much the hearing aids were and see if they wanted to give me a test. The people I met over there were friendly. I especially like Peter. They're very, very nice people. They try to accommodate everybody that comes in there and give them the best price they could. They also have a video that shows the different types of hearing losses and what causes those so that gives people more idea. That enlightens their mind a little bit when they go in and get their hearing tested.
Peter said that I needed the kind that fitted entirely inside my ear but I didn't have quite that amount of money to afford those. So I have one that I put around my ear at the top and then it fits into my ear canal. There's a little tail that comes up the other way that I have to fit inside my ear. They're basically the same flesh color as my skin so in a way, people don't realize I got them in that much. However, I had a lot of problems when I first started with Beltone. I was having trouble with getting the hearing aids adjusted. I had to go over there more times than I thought I would have to. It seems like they did something to my hearing aids and they are better right now. I can hear clearly and plainly. It would be great if it continues like this. I would recommend Beltone to people. They've been in the business for 75 years and they were up this year for the Edison Award.

I asked about what was wrong and I never get a clear understanding of what's going on with the hearing aid like they’re hiding something. They're not being upfront with me about it. I’ve had a hearing aid for years. When I moved over here, I started going to Beltone since they have a place here in town that sells hearing aids. I got new hearing aids from them, had them a couple months, and I'm happy with them. I had trouble with the one on my left ear - it was making a whistling sound. I went over to Beltone and the professionals usually get me right in or make an appointment to have it checked. They were very nice over there, accommodating, and listened to me.
With the other place, I had to drive for about 45 minutes to get to the hearing aid doctor and since I'm getting older, it's rough on me, so I decided to go to this Beltone in town. I'm glad I did and I like both of the places. As soon as I got my hearing aid, I was comfortable with it and I can get out and feel better about it. I'm pretty well satisfied. A week or two later I decided that I couldn't afford their hearing aid because the price was so high but they were willing to work with me and I could make payments once a month. I have enjoyed my hearing aids from them and I'm very satisfied. I go back and have the specialist adjust my hearing aids occasionally. He has told me that anytime I had any kind of a problem, to "just feel free to come back." The people at Beltone are very nice, and it's a pleasure to go visit them. They take their time and give me a good test, and make sure that they've got everything right. They're very sufficient and I can depend on them. I have been to some hearing aid companies where they tried to figure everything out on the computer but, as I told my daughter, a computer does not have a person's feelings and can't feel what they really need. At Beltone, the doctor will use a computer to find out something, especially if I have a problem that he can't quite understand, but otherwise, he's a really nice doctor and I fell in love with him and his secretary, too. They're sweet people and I couldn't be treated any better than how they treat people.

I was unhappy with my previous hearing aid so I went to Beltone. I’ve never considered any other ones, but I’ve been tempted ‘cause insurance doesn’t cover these and I’m not happy with the flat hearing aid at all. I don’t know how long I’m gonna have the recent aid I bought because with the first hearing aid, my batteries would last up to 10 days, but on this, I’m lucky to get four or three days. Now batteries are free, but when I have to start buying them, it’s gonna be a lot of batteries.
Anyway, I liked the girl from Beltone who used to run this place. She was more particular and always made sure that when she did the mold, she got it to fit. Because I had such good luck with her, I'm upset that she left. The new rep is not precise in making the mold, so sometimes the aid slips out because of the fit. Some days it bothers me; some days it doesn’t. He keeps wanting me to try it. And I can’t turn it up. When I can’t hear people across the table from me, I get really frustrated. Then he said I might need another one for my other ear, but I don’t even want to do it with him.
I tried to overlook it ‘cause I got to have my hearing aid, but it doesn’t seem to fit well. It should fit better, and sometimes I know once I send it in, he can’t do anything about it. Then he said it should only last me about five years, and I said mine last me over 10. I can’t pay that kind of money and expect it to last only five years. His receptionist is really good, so most of the time I’m happy. But I’m dissatisfied with this last hearing aid. It ought to be turned up, but when I do I get too much noise. I would recommend Beltone but I’ve had more trouble with this last one than I had with the first one I got. It should be a little more better than that.
