We purchased Beltone Hearing Aids from an in-network office yet they billed my insurance company from an out-of-network location which causes my insurance company to pay out of network reimbursements instead of in network reimbursements… $2000 difference.

I had a hearing test July 2nd, I had a feeling right away it wasn't your normal hearing test. The person giving it, left the door open to the booth. We discussed hearing aids and I was told I should get them 2-3 weeks. After waiting a month, I called to find out from the receptionist. He told them "I would think about it". I sent him an email asking about my new information. He apologized and said I should receive them 2- 3 weeks. Oct 1st I emailed him. He said My insurance company would not reply. I asked him "If this is the kind of service I am getting when there is a purchase involved, what kind of service would I get for follow ups?" I called my insurance and they said he never sent anything like they did in 2021. I am also going with a different company altogether. I have kept their emails. Just as a reminder in case I ever have a weak moment- NOT to go there.

I have been using hearing aids for the last 10 years or so. First one was Oticon "In the canal", after using it three years or more I upgrade it to higher one. Same brand. Both are still working perfect till now. A year ago I contacted my insurance company to buy new expensive good hearing aids, they refer me to an agent who sells Beltone, he convinced me that Beltone is way much better than the ones I have.
I bought them and paid $4500.00. Since then I had to return them for repair many times for different reasons, they just keep to stop working. Yes they have free service for three time in first year, and three years warranty, but after the three times the agent start charging me for handling the service, he did that two times so far, ten days was between the two times, don't know when they will stop working again.
In short, they are the worst hearing aids, my old cheap ones are much better. I decided to put the Beltone aside and go back to use my old Oticon. My advise is: buying Beltone is buying a headache. They are expensive and don't worth the money. First year and had to be returned more than four times for fixing, god knows what will come in the coming two years, and how many times they will be returned for fixing. After all, it's a loss of $4500.00. Thanks to BELTONE.

I had an appointment with them today but no one could let me know that they would be out of the office today. So I make the drive there, which by the way takes me a little more than an hour to get to, only to find a sign on the door stating they'd be out of the office today. If you're going to have a business please take the time to call your patients and let them know that you are not going to be in the office the day of their appointment and have them reschedule rather than them having to drive all the way there and waste gas and not be seen.

I purchased two pairs of Beltone Hearing aids and had problems with each pair. First, the right one stopped working and they had to send it back. Then, the left one quit and the same results. The second upgraded pair was no better. The right one quit working and had to be replaced again. Soon it fell apart and the left one stopped working altogether. Had to go back to my old pair until the right one quit again. I will never buy Beltone again. Poor quality products.

Our family wanted Faye to have quality hearing aids, after not much success with cheaper aids. Now she has died & it seems to be no way to get even a partial rebate / refund of the $5000+ cost. Beltone reps keep telling me to give them to someone who needs them. I realize the outer shell is custom for her ear; however I would like even a partial refund of the receiver which works fine.

I took my mother to the office in Sycamore, Illinois. The Hearing Care Practitioner was very thorough. She did a fantastic job explaining the results to my mom. No question left unanswered. More importantly her aids she purchased are now 3 years old and doing great. When they do stop working it is because they are clogged with wax and mom forgot to clean them. We couldn't be happier and hope you will give them a try. Couldn't be more pleased.

According to online Belton ads: "schedule a Free appointment... free comprehensive eval." Then in person Diane said, Free exams ONLY if you agree to buy our aids, OR, free but we'll give you no results or audiogram (if you go elsewhere). From ads, I expected new audiograms I would send to my hearing aid provider thru my health insurance, and I said so right from the start. This Beltone provider, Diane, had very poor customer service skill, as well as generally unfriendly attitude. I was shocked. I only researched their ads AFTER I returned home from this upsetting experience. (Also, the receptionist did NOT know WHY she required to copy my driver's license. "Just policy" is not a sufficient reason.)

I made an inconvenient trip to the Beltone store to check out what was apparently $998 hearing aids. I have 2 degrees and a certificate in graphic arts and I couldn’t tell the flyer price was for one aid. What would an elder person with comprehension problems do? So far I can hear a little better but can't hear on the phone very well. I can't hear in crowded environments and I have trouble hearing at work. If it's quiet I can hear. These were very expensive $3100 after my insurance co paid $700. So I am contacting Aetna Monday to discuss this. Not worth $4500.

Your first 2 managers told me if I wanted to trade up, I had a one time offer to do so, without any additional charge. I phoned Jen, your only receptionist here, a month ago, told her of my problem, and she firmly told me your current manager would do absolutely nothing. I paid $5000.00 for something I am not able to use. Anywhere. Yesterday, I went to Best Buy, purchased a pair from them for $249.00 and I can hear perfectly with them.

I purchased my Beltone hearing aids from Englewood Florida and found them difficult to wear. Dr. Jeff was awesome and changed the little buds that go in your ears and they are now very comfortable and I can wear them all the time. Really made a difference. Since I work in Venice I changed to the Venice office. Dr. Jeff is at that office as well so it made it easy. Also Lisa, his receptionist, was always ready to accommodate. Since I care for a sweet 95 year old blind lady, and her hearing aids were no longer working, I suggested she try Beltone. I took her in to meet Lisa and Dr. Jeff. They did a full evaluation and we’re able to fit her with Beltone hearing aids that were far superior to what she did have. Both of us could not be happier! I highly recommend if you need new hearing aids or an evaluation, please go see Lisa and Dr. Jeff! Just tell them that Cheryl told you to go in as they are the “Best”.

I was so very delighted to go to Beltone on Oct 6. only to be told by the guy that the insurance I had was a scam. The hearing aids the insurance would pay for would do be no good at all and he could personally sell me used hearing aids. I called my ex. He said no. It sounded like a scam. I wrote a review then the manager called and wanted a meeting on Oct 27. I had gave a bad review and she wanted me to give her a good rating which I did until I met her. She did same thing. Pushed high price hearing aids. Said she could order the insurance ones until I could get the big priced ones.
I was distraught. Here I have insurance and I still can't afford to hear. I called insurance company. They sent me to another place on Oct 28. There they understood I did not have money just the insurance. They knew my hearing was bad but still found hearing aids for me that would work that I could adjust. They ordered them it would take 45 days. I went home, called beltone, told them, "Cancel my order. I won't need your service. I found another place I ordered from." Beltone knew they had not ordered yet but they went and cancelled my order from Hearing Life. Now I have been waiting over 45 days just to find out beltone cancelled the order. How could they do that knowing how I needed to hear. Knowing they had not ordered it was not their order. To me that is not good business.

Had I been notified maybe they could have gotten me a supply of rechargeable batteries from existing stock. I was called in for my annual check up, not told that my hearing aid was useless, asked to bring my wife with me for the 120 mile round trip and when I got there received a sales pitch on the latest and greatest hearing aid Beltone offers, no discount. I was told hearing aids only last 4-5 years anyway. I was lied to to make a sale in the beginning, mislead on the "checkup" and suffered a $6500 loss. Beltone is not to be trusted.

I called this location in October 2019 because they aggressively advertise that they do home visits anywhere on Vancouver Island serviced by paved roads. This seemed a good option for my 95 year old stepmother who is confined to a wheelchair and is in a demential care facility. Her hearing aids need replacing. I was told I would receive a call back when "the home visit schedule is finalized".
Five weeks later, on November 29 (Friday) I called back to see what was going on. After a lot of humming and hawing the receptionist admitted she had forgotten my request. I requested an urgent call back for Monday (since no one else was there). Received the call back from the technician/manager/whatever on Monday and was informed by him that home visits were no longer being done since he was only on site three days a week when he drove up from Victoria. When I asked why the visits were still being advertised and no one had bothered to communicate the discontinuation to me his response was I didn't have to do business with Beltone. Yup, got that right.
I strongly believe this organization advertises their home visits as a ploy to get potential customers to call (which I think is not in compliance with the competition regulations, but I could be wrong). At best, the advertising is wildly inaccurate. Furthermore, and probably even more troubling, there was no expressed remorse or apology around keeping a 95 year old dementia patient waiting for more than five weeks. These are supposed to be health professionals and I am sure they are fully aware that elderly patients in general are terribly isolated when they cannot hear. Dementia patients in particular have already lost so much - it seems taking the audio sense away as well is unnecessarily cruel.
I am beyond angry that she was treated this way. Shame on you Beltone for allowing this kind of substandard and uncaring service. It certainly makes one wonder what else in their advertising is "inaccurate" and what else falls into the category of buyer beware. My advice is to do what I am doing and run, not walk, to another provider.

Lots my hearing aid after 7 years. Insurance company pushed me to Beltone. Right out of the box, the top-end hearing aid sold/fitted to me by Beltone has ongoing issues. Harmonics - A resonant can be hit at multiple frequencies - causing a matching "tone" to be added. It started off with the email alert on my phone, then I noticed it during songs on the radio, then during conversations with women. In a restaurant setting it is almost unusable. Another unit is on the way. But the first sign of another resonant frequency - I'm asking for a full refund.

Their customer service has been good. They were very helpful, and I couldn’t have asked for any better service. When I go to church, I couldn’t hear the preacher or when I'm in any kind of meeting, I couldn’t keep up with it. But I can hear better since using my Beltone. I’m well satisfied with it. I had gone with the VA and I got a hearing aid that wasn’t worth a darn. It was a very cheap one and it wasn’t very good quality. I couldn't hear with it. Most of the men talk loud enough that everything comes through good but with women, I could not pick up what they were saying. With Beltone, I also have a lot of problems but it’s better than what I had. Plus, the young man who takes care of me is very customer-friendly and he appears to try to do everything he possibly can for me. I’m very satisfied with his work.
Lately, I’ve noticed a couple times that my battery does not last as long as it should. About eight hours of the day, it would start beeping and giving me a tone, and then it would stop. Then maybe a few minutes later, the other would do the same thing. The rep told me that there was a button on the back, which is the reset button. He told me to push that and I did. He thought that would take care of my problems and it hasn’t. It has never needed resetting on the charger.

I have a minor hearing loss. My wife and other people have begun to detect it and we've talked about it off and on over the past six months. Then we received a $1,000 discount in the mail and so I decided to go ahead and see what Beltone was about and moved forward with it. A number of different tests dealing with ranges from the bass up to alto or tenor were done and detected a problem with hearing at the high pitch level.
Then for word clarity, they ran a series of 60 sounds or words that have various types of sounds like CH and SH sounds. Through that analysis, they determined that it wasn't a question of clarity and understanding because I only missed 1 out of 60. They also did a distance test with the test on the hearing aid system itself. The rep walked out of the room and talked at a normal voice to see if I could hear it through the hearing aids, which I did. He explained all the testing within both from the bass to the middle range to the high range, the differences, and the functions.
My hearing aids have been good. I have various settings because they are for different purposes, restaurants, at home or in a car. But initially, I had a problem with the way I was setting it back into the charger in the evening. I can rub the hearing aid attachment and I can hear the sound of the rubbing and everything with it right there. There were many times when it wasn't linking on the cellphone. If it wasn't linking, I couldn't reset it for the different environments that I was in. But that seems to have been corrected because I was told to lightly set the hearing device into the charger. I had been pushing it down and I don't know if that had any impact on it or not. I've started doing it with the way I was told and there has been no problem with the link at all. That problem was not with the hearing aid though. It was about the Wifi linkage connection. At this point, I'm satisfied that my hearing aids are working.

I had hearing loss from my childhood and it progressively got worse over the years. Then, I had a job in an office space where I had to be super quiet and I can’t hear when they talk. I was really loud and I didn’t even know it. And I’ve learned to lip read. My supervisor did not know I was almost deaf until we had the conversations because I would cheat and see what she was saying and piece it together. I had no choice and was forced to get hearing aids. I did research and purchased Beltone for their reputation.
When I got my first set, I truly heard my husband’s voice for the first time and we’ve been married almost 30 years. I cried the time I heard it. The lady that set me up with it was amazing, she sat there and cried right along with me. I could hear her and even the people in the hallway. I could understand what they were saying. When I go to their office, they know me by name. They genuinely care and it’s not about the money. They try to do everything they can to save me what they can. And they make the aids last as long as possible.
In general, I can have a full-blown conversation with somebody and not have to struggle as much. But with these hearing aids I have now, I’m struggling because my hearing is getting progressively worse and by the end of the year, it’ll be gone on the right side all completely. I’m getting ready to get my third set because my second set is just about the end of their road. What I have now is the one that goes in the canal, and then it’s over the ear, and behind the ear, and that’s probably what I’ll get again. The lady said what might work better for me is the one that’s molded to my ear and it goes inside but we’ll discuss those options when it's time.
It is what it is. I had to pay to get what I have to have, but it’s expensive. The next ones are gonna be $6,000, $7,000 so it’s sad. But they’re well-built hearing aids. My husband wouldn’t listen to me and went to some hearing aid place and he had nothing but trouble with his. I kept trying to say that mine had never broken and my batteries last a good week. I take them out at night and open the battery case so it's not running 24/7.

The only style that was offered to me was an over-the-ear but the ones I had before were over-the-ear. When you buy from Beltone, you have to give them your old ones. I paid for the new pair but it went downhill ever since. I had trouble hearing on the phone, and I went in. Sometimes, I hear on the phone or usually, I have to take the hearing aids out. And then, I was at a get-together and a woman was sitting right next to me and I couldn't hear her. I'm going to Beltone one day this week and see if they can do something else for me. Requested an appointment to check audio device for True H.A. Was told the manager would call. That was four days ago. Have purchased my last Beltone. It seems that once the sale has been made "don't bother us" is a proper slogan.

My insurance, SilverScript, had a program with Beltone and we got a big discount off it. The office people were great in getting me in on an appointment. The doctor that I was seeing put hearing aids in so that I could tell the difference in how it sounded before and after. He explained to me that I definitely needed them. I'm totally happy with my Beltone hearing aids. I put them in first thing in the morning and don't take them out till I go to bed.
My husband wears hearing aids too and a couple of our friends have tried them and gave up on them because they couldn't stand how loud things were when they first wore them. I said that they just did not give them the chance to tone down for the brain to get used to it. Even my mother bought hearing aids, wore them one day, and she's never put them back in, and it's been three years. My doctor explained it all to me and how it's gonna take a while for your brain to be able to get back to a normal sound and then things wouldn't sound so overly loud. There were things that sounded really loud to me. But in my mind, I just kept saying to hang in there because the doctor said that will go away in a couple of months.

I've had Beltone since I was 66 and I've always been pleased with it. I can hear better and it has features I like, like it automatically adjusts itself if I'm in a crowd or alone. I don't have to keep changing it. Also, their reps have always been nice, but I really like the one that I'm going to now. I've had others, but Dr. **'s been the most helpful. He's also very kind. He cleans my ears for me, and if I have any problem, he has me come in and takes care of it.

My hearing loss is minimal but I have a job where I have to hear everything. My mother and sister have both been with Beltone and they’ve had success with the company. I've dealt with a doctor and her receptionist and it's been excellent. I have a Bluetooth rechargeable hearing aids and I like its ease. It's just an adjustment getting used to having it and the maintenance and taking it in, taking it out, and forgetting that they're in. The aids are extremely expensive. I'm also losing a charge on one of it. It's quitting at about eight hours through the day. But I'm going to see them about it. I've been happy and have highly recommended Beltone. They're great.

My hearing wasn’t that great before and everybody told me I need hearing aids. I went to Beltone because they were pretty easy to get to from my home. I can just zip in down the back road and they're right there. They gave me the hearing aid test when I was in their office and the doctor was pretty good. He explained everything. He's gonna give me a hearing test without my aids on this month. Also, I have an appointment with them next month for a checkup on how things are going.
I got the behind the ear model and sometimes they irritate my ears so I take them out, put them in a little box, and put them away for a while or for a couple of days. But normally, they have been there and I find them useful. I put them in if family is around and I can understand what my family has to say and everything else. Also, they're all electric so I don't have to worry about batteries. I was given a little box where I put the hearing aids in at night and it charges them up and keeps them charged up. I've had a pretty good experience with Beltone and I'm well-satisfied.

I have partial hearing loss. The customer service rep helped in various ways to use the Beltone hearing aids and how to get the most out of its batteries. All hearing aids are very expensive and I chose one that was a moderate price. I got the over the ear style and I thought it’d be more effective. I had an in-ear one and it wasn’t as effective as I thought it could be. Since having the hearing aids, I can now sing along in church. I could also hear the television. I didn’t have to have it up as high. And sometimes, I could hear the dinger on the oven that I wasn’t able to hear before, and I can hear an awful lot of residual noise too.

I have minimal hearing loss and I went through Medicaid. They signed me up and I went with Beltone Hearing Aids. The Beltone representative was very pleasant and it was good dealing with her. She recommended the hearing aid model where the receiver is behind the ear so I went with that. Although it was the most expensive model and it's too expensive, its quality is good and it is working well. I like that I can hear better with it and it has improved my life.

I had 50% hearing loss before contacting Beltone. I chose them over other hearing aid companies since they're well known and because of insurance. The Yuma station had excellent service. I had nothing but excellent interactions with the representatives. Everything was perfect from the time I first went in, to having the hearing test, getting my ear pieces, and going back twice for adjustments. I went with the receiver-in-the-canal style of hearing aid. I had to get used to it, but now it feels comfortable and I couldn't be without it. My hearing aid works very well and I'm also very satisfied with its cost. I told other people about it and they went and received hearing aids and treatments from the same company and the same office. My Beltone hearing has made my life a lot better. It has improved my life 100%.

I have a friend the in the town where I live that has done business with John from Beltone. I talked to John and I liked him. He’s a heck of a nice guy. He was very good to me and treated me like gold. The service couldn't have been any better. I decided right then and there to go with Beltone and get a hearing aid from them. Years ago, I got hurt in a mine accident and my workers’ comp sent me to a regular hearing doctor in Evansville, Indiana. So, I had to go down there and do my hearing test. They printed out all my results for me and then I took them to John at Beltone. He worked with me really well and the help he gave me was wonderful. I got a top-of-the line model that costs $8,350 and it has got a good warranty on it. It goes behind the ear and it has a little thing on it that is plugged into the ear.
John has done me a great favor and I appreciate what he did. My daughter is an assistant at Toledo University Basketball. We were going up there for a big deal over the weekend and I asked John about the hearing aid because I wanted to really hear what was going on. My workers' comp was paying for my hearing aid and I was not supposed to get it until it was paid for. But John let me take it with me and he said that he was not worried about me. He had talked to the workers’ comp people and they had said that his check would be with his business within 10 days, and it was.
Since I put my hearing aid in, it sure made a world of difference. When I sat out in our big family room at home to watch the news on TV, I had the volume on 26 before and my wife sat in the living room and watched television there because the TV in the family room was too loud for her. But now I've got the TV volume on 6.
So far, my experience with Beltone has been really well and I couldn’t have been treated any better. The girl that works for John, Katy, helped me too when I had a little problem one time. John had shown me how to clean the hearing aid and I thought I had cleaned it, but I still had a little earwax in it. Katy cleaned out my hering aid and put a new rubber thing on the end, and I was on my way in two minutes. I've told a guy who was gonna get a hearing aid to go down there to Beltone and see John. My hearing aid has helped me tremendously and I should have had it a long time ago. Now, I've even got John's cellphone number and he told me to call if I have any problems.

My hearing wasn’t what it should be before I got Beltone Hearing Aids. I could hear the sound, but couldn’t make out the words and thought everybody was mumbling. I saw Beltone's ad and thought it was the one. I took a free hearing test from them in the store, and have had my hearing aids for 15 years. Their rep gave me another hearing test and I just got new hearing aids. I got the inside the ear hearing aid model and had the insurance to cover it. My hearing is a little bit better with the new hearing aid. The people at the store are so good. Rick and Mary are both excellent. The helper fixes up a gift bag and there were little items in it that I use in general all the time. It was really amazing.

I have had Beltone Hearing Aids for about 3 years. I am not unhappy with the hearing aids themselves, but I am very unhappy with the company itself. Hearing aids need regular cleaning and to be checked regularly to avoid problems. I have experience twice having an office close with no notice. In fact twice, I have gone to an appointment only to find that Beltone closed the office and did not have the decency to call and cancel upcoming appointments. That happened for the second time today when I traveled 35 minutes across a bay to get to an appointment only to find the office closed and another business in the same location. When I called Beltone I was told that the office was closed 2 months prior and yet I and I assume other customers were never notified.

Biggest piece of junk I ever bought. I got these hearing aids about three years ago. Just as the warranty was running out I started having problems of them cutting on and off at odd times. The sales rep seemed to try his best to resolve the problems. He sent them off to the lab were I was told they were rebuilt. Worked fine for a few months then the problems returned.
Again went back to the sales rep who again sent them off to the lab. Again was told they totaly rebuilt them so the working parts were like new, now again I'm having the same problem of them cutting on and off and the warrant has long sense ran out. I'm still paying on these things and have discovered they are the biggest piece of junk I ever bought. I am very disappointed. Thought more of Beltone but I see I'm wrong. If I could stop payments and give them back I would and go buy a set somewhere else. Instead I'm paying for something that only works now and then as it chooses not as I need.

This is my second set of Beltones and I just upgraded them. My other hearing aids were old, and I had been inquiring about battery life since the upgraded ones are rechargeable. I jumped on the upgraded one right away because I wear them full time and I’m almost deaf if I don’t wear them. Also, I don’t have to spend money on the batteries.
I didn’t care for the gentleman that worked at Beltone three years ago. But Melissa, who works there now, is excellent. I can’t say enough nice things about her. The woman is amazing and she really knows her stuff. All I have to do is call her up, and she’ll walk me through it. She can go online or on a computer and talk to me, and I don’t even have to go in there. So, that is awesome.
I’ve only had the new hearing aids for six weeks now, and we’re still tweaking them. Melissa showed me a few tricks that I can try at home. My problem is when I get into my big office or into conference rooms or I get in an airplane or I go into noisy environments, all of these are changes that my hearing aids go wacky. I can get on the app and fix that right away, instead of having to take them out and worry about it later.
Melissa showed me the app and there is a lot of good information on the app if you just take the time to read it. And it does help you. When I get in my car and my grandchildren are in the backseat, I have to adjust because their tone is different than what my normal settings are, and all I have to do is go on my app. So, it is pretty awesome. It truly was worth the money for me to spend to be able to do this. Otherwise, my other hearing aids just had two adjustments, and I had to click the thing on the ear, and if it didn’t work, then I had to go in the office, and then the Beltone rep would have to plug them in and readjust them.

I’ve had moderate hearing, especially in my left ear, for quite some time. I got a hearing aid five years ago from Beltone, then it quit working, so I went back and bought a pair of refurbished hearing aids from them. I wasn’t planning on going with them again because I was disappointed in the first hearing aid which quit functioning, so I checked a little bit. The newer models of Beltone were more expensive than that of some of the other companies that I was looking at and I couldn’t afford the latest models either at Beltone or the other suppliers. But I could get the refurbished hearing aid from Beltone cheaper than I could with a different supplier that didn’t have refurbished ones.
I had a new hearing test done and Beltone checked that against what I had on record from my hearing test before. The dealings that I had with the reps this time were okay. They were friendly and pretty thorough with what they were doing. The hearing aid that I got was the 17s model. The battery for this model runs down quicker. I’m keeping track of that now, but the battery lasted longer in the previous model that I had. Other than that, it seems to be functioning okay.

After sudden onset of hearing loss, I got unreliable Oticon Hearing Aids. It's worth more than $7,000 to get my quality of life back. When I first got hearing aids a year and a half ago I tried Beltone. They worked well. I went with Oticon, because the dealer was an audiologist, not a salesperson. Bad mistake. I should have gone with what sounded better instead of deciding based on the sales rep/hearing specialist.
I went back to another Beltone Rep this week (Mike ** in Fort Myers, Florida). He is an excellent salesperson, and an experienced hearing specialist. To do DUE DILIGENCE, I did research on the web. I was surprised that Beltone never came up among the top 10 or top 6 or any lists of excellent hearing aids. That was a surprise. Most of the critical reviews had to do with the sales persons, and centers that closed shortly after the purchase.
As I read the complaints by people who only gave Beltone one star, there was the same response from Beltone to ALL bad reviews: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are working with the team right now to help you get this resolved. We will be in touch soon!" Perhaps that was automatically generated, but it sure sounds like Beltone doesn't have very good customer service after the sale is completed. I do have faith in Mike **, and when I finish my research, I'll probably go back to him. Oticon got good reviews, but I feel like I wasted $7,500 plus add-ons for hearing aids that don't work. I hope my hearing improves with the RIGHT hearing aids.

I am currently trying a pair of Amaze hearing aids before buying. It is totally great that I get to try them out for 3 weeks before deciding if I want to purchase but so far I am not impressed. I can hear better with my 5 year old Oticons. Beltone is scheduling me to come back into the office every 5 days to tweak the settings while trying out the Amaze, but after almost a week I am not amazed. The connectivity to the phone app is great but the aids themselves are not. I can't hear as well with the new Amaze technology as I can with my old aids. The Amaze has sudden volume drops, when watching TV the TV suddenly gets lower in volume, when I turn on the kitchen faucet I hear the water running for about 3 seconds and then the volume of the water drops. It's as if the aids decide what they think is worth hearing and what is not.
I want to hear as close to natural hearing as possible. I don't want aids that think for themselves and the aids decide what to concentrate on and what to block out. If there is sound then I want to hear it. I've tried turning off the noise blocker and it doesn't help. Again, the phone app and connectivity are great, but the aids are not amazing. I'm not impressed at all. The sudden volume drops are very annoying. If I was listening to water running in the kitchen sink the sound should stay at the volume level I first hear it at and not lower the volume after a few seconds. Things sound like I'm hearing thru a mechanical device and not natural at all.

I decided I would look at another place so I checked out Beltone. The sales and customer service people were all very friendly. I purchased the hearing aid that is on top in the back so it flips over the top if I put it in here. It's also less conspicuous.
I wish, though, that Beltone would get their act together. I have a Samsung J7 Prime for my phone and it’s one of the more updated ones but it won’t work with the Beltone hearing aid. At first, I had a Samsung S5 and that one worked. I’ve asked for why the app is not compatible with my phone several times and it’s in one ear and out the other. Maybe it costs too much for them. I was given was a free hearing screening at your Old Harrodsburg Road location in Lexington, KY yesterday. I was highly disappointed at the quality of the test and the provider. First, he didn't introduce himself or give his title. I assume he is just a salesman. The test was not given in a hearing booth, but in an office where there was a lot of noise on the floor above, making it difficult to concentrate on the tones. Yes, my hearing may be declining, but the salesman acted like my health was at risk if I did not buy a hearing aid right then. After telling me that I needed one, he started pricing them and telling me the monthly payment without even showing me the actual hearing aid!! Then he proceeded to tell me about a cheaper model, and urged me to put a down payment on one and try it for 30 days.
I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman. I told him I would never buy one based on one test, and he seemed offended. I told him I would speak to my medical doctor next week during my appointment, and he stated that doctors didn't know anything about hearing aids. I am not stupid. I am a retired RN. I would most certainly get another opinion from a specialist before making a decision. I would never buy from the company that did the testing. I feel that people are getting taken advantage of. The salesman even told me that the Nan that left before me scored lower than me! How did he know I didn't know the man? HIPAA violation and unprofessional. Don't bother to call and apologize. I will seek a professional hearing specialist to perform a test. Lastly, I completed 3 different online brief hearing tests last night. One was from Beltone. A family member had recently gotten a pair of hearing aids from the Beltone store in Trumbull, CT. He raved about them and the helpfulness he experienced from the folks at this Beltone location. My wife suggested I go for their hearing test. I agreed, and she accompanied me. I have to concur with that family member: the professionalism, understanding, care, consideration, and reassurance exhibited by Peter **, the hearing professional, were nothing short of outstanding.
In addition, once you purchase the hearing aids designed for your personal needs, Beltone does not leave you on your own to adjust to them. I meet with Peter once a week to go over any concerns or questions I might have for the first month or so, then every few months after that. In addition, Barbara, the office manager, was instrumental in setting up a payment plan for me, as well as securing a check from my supplemental insurance to help pay for a portion of the cost. If all Beltone locations employ people like Peter and Barbara at the Trumbull, CT office, then Beltone is definitely the leader in the field of hearing aids.

I have had to deal with this issue since I bought mine in 2011. They give you a lifetime benefit, big deal. No one can work normal hours and be seen. I would NOT recommend buying from them. I am now shopping for a company that actually is there to a help their patients. Don't waste your money, find someplace and someone you can rely on.

This is a real game changer. I had one to try out for a week, and I must say that I was quite pleased with the MyPAL Pro. Set in front of the television, and it streams the audio directly to the hearing aid eliminating that clarity loss for lack of a better term we users of hearing aids experience. Don't get me wrong, I love my Beltone hearing aid, it was real eye opener for me when I first tried one. I thought my previous hearing aid was OK, it did the trick, but when I tried a Beltone hearing aid, it felt like I went from using a toy you get out of one of those bubble gum machines at your local grocery store to a real professionally engineered, professional quality hearing aid. A Ford Pinto to a Lamborghini. Hot dog to a steak. It was, and still is great. Throw in the easy access to Beltone hearing specialists, and a lifetime of care, and it was perhaps the smartest purchase I've ever made.
Peter at the Howell outlet has been the best, and does not hesitate when I ask to try a device. I've tried the TV Link, and now I've tried the MyPAL Pro, and they were both impressive. When using the MyPAL Pro, I feel that my “understanding” of the television went from about 75% to close to 100%. What a difference having the audio stream directly to the hearing aid made! I used it with it being connected to the television, and in front of the television in microphone mode, and it was amazing how they both improved my understanding, and the clarity of what was being said on the television. Game changer! I can't say enough good things about it, I can't wait to get my hands on my own. I was bummed when I had to return it to Peter at the Howell, MI outlet. As far as the television is concerned it worked just as well as the TV Link, but is more flexible being mobile.
I also took it to the theater to see Bohemian Rhapsody as a benchmark test, and it passed with flying colors. While I still used the CC device a few times during the movie, the performance of the MyPAL Pro was phenomenal. It provided really clear audio streamed directly through my hearing aid. I was hearing the great music of Queen, in a movie theater, and could actually understand 99% of what was being said/sung.
Of course, I also tested it in a group conversation setting, and it worked quite well in that environment too! Game changer! I know, I know, I say that a lot, but in my defense, the MyPAL Pro is a game changing device. If I had my way, I'd make this part of the package of a standard hearing aid purchase, it helps THAT MUCH. You know how we get tired of asking people to repeat themselves, it's annoying to us, and it gets annoying to those people you interact with on a daily basis. They won't say so, but trust me it's annoying. The MyPAL Pro put an end to that. I could even leave the room, and still follow along with the conversation, so it's kind of like it gave me a super power...
My review? 5 stars. You are going to want this device. It WILL improve the quality of your life. It WILL improve the quality of the lives of those you love that live with you, and interact with you on a daily basis. No longer will you deal with the frustration of “not quite” getting what is being said by those around you or on television. My best advice is to get to your local Beltone outlet, and try one out. I think you will be quite pleasantly surprised. GAME CHANGER.

I purchased my in-ear Beltone hearing aids about 2 1/2 years ago and have had numerous complaints about the product (hearing volume, calling and receiving calls, not hearing clearly primarily from the right hearing aid). Each time adjustments were performed but were never completely improved. The latest again with the right hearing aid. It was sent back to the factory and was replaced with a new one. The most constant complaint is using the hearing with my iPhone which is compatible with the hearing aid. When I make or receive a call it could take between 15-30 seconds to connect the other person.
I contacted Beltone today and they are going to contact my local office but I'm not sure what that's going to resolve. My warranty is up in May of 2019 and it should be extended due to the ongoing issue. It's frustrating when you depend on the hearing aid and the issues aren't resolved... Hope I get through to someone... I have other friends/family that have purchased hearing aids from other companies that are 100% satisfied and that's what I'm asking for.

Updated on 02/06/2019: Beltone did get in touch with me within in a few days & said that someone from the Scottsbluff, Nebraska store would get in touch with me or my nephew. As of today no one from the store has called either me or nephew.
Original Review: My experience has to do with trying to get help after my sister passed away & she only had very expensive hearing aids 2 1/2 months. She got them at the Scottsbluff, Neb. store. I had purchased a different brand a few months before & was shocked at how much she had paid for her Beltone especially after she told me they had given her a discount because she was handicapped??? She lived on social security only. When I asked the salesperson why my sister got the most expensive hearing aids they offered he replied "That was the ones she wanted" knowing my sister the way I did (& the rest of the family knowing) we find that very hard to believe as she was always money conscious because she was on a limited budget. I also questioned how she was able to get credit to make payments known what her income was. I got two responses from the salesperson "It was her choice"??? & "It is out of our hands. We can't help you."
All we wanted was some kind of help as to what we could do with $6,375 worth of hearing aids that no one we know can use. Had my sister asked before she got them I would have told her NOT to go to Beltone. Now it is too late. Her family also feels she was taken advantage of because of her disability. The other thing was I know she was not happy with the hearing aids & she became ill before she could get them adjusted again. Because she was in a wheelchair & was not able to get out easily, the salesperson was kind enough to stop at her house to make adjustments. That is the only reason I rated it 1 star

I have hearing loss in both ears and I started with Beltone Hearing Aids years ago. They run a first class operation and they are flexible. I’m very happy with Maryanne that I get phone calls reminding me of my appointments. She’s got a one-person staff and I’m very impressed with her. I got the behind-the-ear hearing aid model that I purchased from them two years ago and it is a far superior hearing aid than what I had used. The cost is a lot more than my other hearing aid, but the quality is so much greater. For my old hearing aid, they took the mold of my ear, then they made the hearing aid fit the mold of my ear.
For the Beltone one, they gave me one behind-the-ear for my right ear and I don’t even know the thing is in there, which I like. And I’m gonna buy one for my left ear as well. With Beltone, the hearing is much better and it’s much clearer. I can adjust it to different settings if I’m in a restaurant or if I’m in a church. I have it on all-around. It’s also connected to my cell phone, so that helps me a lot. The quality is superior. Beltone is doing a great job and I hope to keep going to them for years to come.

I purchased a pair of Beltone Hearing Aids (Legend 9-63) in March of 2018, and I thought I had solved all of my hearing problems. They included a Z-Power Rechargeable System, which is so much easier than managing the tiny batteries. However, right away I had trouble with them fitting into my ear canal and I have returned to the office at least once every month for adjustments. Just a couple of months into my ownership one of them actually quit working and it had to be sent in for repairs. The two salesmen who have helped me have been very kind and have made a real effort to make these work for me.
We have tried several shapes of ear connections, but most of them were uncomfortable and I felt cut off from the world, because they were impossible to use in group situations. I just couldn't hear if someone was close or far away from me. I am totally unhappy with them and I want to return them to Beltone. I know the trial period is long gone, but each time I went into the office, I was pressured to try just one more "fix." In the meantime I have already received benefits from BCBS, and I have paid the installments to the financing company. What shall I do to reverse this very disappointing experience?

I have been hearing impaired since I was nine years old. I have moderate to severe hearing loss, and I have had another hearing aid before. I used to live in Indianapolis but I moved to Chicago and that was when I found Beltone. I've heard good things about them. They are very up-to-date with technology and I trust them as a brand. The interactions with the reps were great. They are very personable, friendly and open. They listen and I feel very comfortable with them. I've become friends with them because I've been seeing them for so long.
I like Mary Ann. She has a lot of experience as an audiologist. She's the most knowledgeable one that I've had ever since I've been wearing hearing aids. I went with the iPhone hearing aids and I enjoy the hearing aids a lot. They're very small and most people don't even notice that I'm wearing hearing aids. They have a lot of adjustments but the performance is very high. While Beltone's location is very far out there, they, nevertheless, will do anything to help you.
Thank you Allieson for the glowing review. We are so thrilled that you had such a positive experience with us. I have minor hearing loss. I still hear reasonably well without the hearing aid but I was having difficulty in groups, particularly in say a board meeting where a lot of people are sitting around in different places in the room. And I began to notice as I was having problems hearing some of the people in the room. Also, sitting in our kitchen with the radio on relatively low and my wife right across the table from me, I could hear the radio but I couldn't always understand her, so there was a problem there. I had a pair of basic hearing aids that I had purchased nearly five years ago and recently, I got to thinking that I really needed to go somewhere and have my hearing evaluated with the hearing aids in my ears. And that was what led me to Beltone.
I've been aware of Beltone for years. The folks there were very kind to run some tests with me with those hearing aids on and resolved it. I had had some hearing loss after the time that I was tested that led to the initial purchase. And so I decided to upgrade and bought their Amaze level brand, which I really appreciate being able to control with my cell phone or the remote and my hearing is better. I won't say it's perfect and I know that no hearing aid is gonna restore that. But I am able to handle situations now by being able to adjust back and forth with either the cell phone or the remote and function it in a way that I was having trouble doing.
I knew that I was gonna have to spend some money as I was fully aware that if I was gonna get a good set of hearing aids, I was gonna have to pay for them. So, I was prepared for that. And when I saw the features that were available, it didn't take much to convince me when I see something of quality electronically. It's not easy to back all of the features that are in these hearing aids without having to spend a lot of time in research. I got what I paid for. Also, Beltone has some very fine people. They were patient, thorough, and very careful. I'm very happy that I stopped by there.

I am upset that it would cost that much to have one aid repaired and on top of this only replace the part that is defective with a guarantee of 6 months. I cannot afford this high price. I am currently walking around with one hearing aid and holding my breath that this one won’t die! I went into the store and the reps were very knowledgeable and very nice. I talked to them and they explained stuff. They were very accommodating. I purchased the hearing aid that fits inside my ear that has a little "cat hair" wire with the little battery pack on the back of your ear. It was expensive like buying a car. But it was on sale that particular day and I saved a bunch of money.
I wear the hearing aid 24/7 and I wear them to sleep at bed at night. I had a problem though. I rolled over and broke the little "cat hair" off the edge of one of them. I was in Union, Florence and I Googled Beltone close to me. I went there and a very charming lady in there went through everything. I showed her my phone and she added an extra service so that I don't just have restaurants and original, but she punched in church mode. She fixed it with no charge. I would rather go to her than anybody I could tell you about. I would tell others how easy Beltone was and the difference in being able to hear and knowing what you couldn't hear. You would be able to discern birds and different trees and what a siren sounds like to be in a car.

We were serviced at the Beltone in Tupelo and they were all busy. If you show up for batteries, it appears to be a big deal. Sometimes the interactions with their representatives are okay and sometimes it's rushed. They are both really nice though and the receptionist does a lot of the cleaning. They have a lot of clients and she is busy. You don't get much service very fast, but eventually, they'll get to you but it's frustrating because your time is valuable too. We live about an hour and 15, 20 minutes from Tupelo and if we're gonna go there and we need something, we're not gonna come home and then go back the next day.
My husband has a lot of excess ear wax and sometimes, we have to show up to get the hearing aids cleaned. I can clean it to a point, but I can't do it like Beltone can. If the hearing aids are not clean, it doesn't work and without it, he doesn't hear anything. With the hearing aid, he has some hearing and that truly beats nothing. I'd recommend Beltone.

I have about 50% of hearing loss. Beltone is a national chain and I want something that I can access from where I am at. I took the free hearing test from my local dealer. It’s a two-person store and the guy does two sittings each week then the girl does all the cleaning. I was very pleased with them. I got the molded hearing aids that fit in my ears. I'm happy with its functionality and performance. It's $2,000 for the pair and I’m getting my money’s worth. I can hear and my husband likes it. I don’t say “huh” anymore. I usually pull it out when I’m on the phone because the molded sticks out a little way and sometimes, I can make it beep with the phone adjusted.
Nationally, Beltone would give consumers an extra amount of time to make sure that they like the hearing aids. I didn’t like the idea that the rep would give people a week or two instead of the nationally-approved two months, and there were lots of hearing aids out there that would give even longer than that. That was really almost a deal breaker with me. If I hadn’t gotten enough time to find out that I was going to wear them on a regular basis, then that’s thrown out the door, I'd almost walk away over that. So my husband and I sat and talked to him and we said that we'll go to Florida and just wait till we get there. He honored that in the end, and I didn’t take the hearing aids back because I love them. I’m very happy and I would recommend them.

I purchased a set of hearing aids for my 89 yr. old mother in Kill Devils Hill in March of 2018. This went well. I felt as though I had gotten a quality product. The hearing aids were picked up in Elizabeth City in April of 2018. We took the hearing aids back several times due for resizing and color. We dealt with that. In September of 2018, both of the hearing aids fell apart. It was diagnosed that they had been crushed and had to be rebuilt. Insurance had been purchased, but was useless. The hearing aids were not crushed.
The coverings on both were broken. All the wires were good. The company wanted me to pay $400 for each hearing aid on top on the $5300 already paid. I feel as though the quality of these hearing aids were poor. Even with that said, I offered to pay for one of the hearing aids, because my mother was still complaining about the other hearing aid size (too big), which could have contributed to it falling out. The company was unwilling to assist. So, I have a set of broken hearing aids that my mother has worn for approximately 2 months. I’m disappointed in the quality of these hearing aids and the unwillingness of the Beltone to resolve this issue.

My hearing loss at first was just borderline and two years later, it was below the line. We had a Beltone store in Wabash. It was convenient and they were sending me information in the mail about their pricing. I took advantage of the free examination. The gentleman that works with me is very nice. He gave me a complete test and he knew the products and the warranties. Even his secretary is top-notch and really very knowledgeable about it all. I've taken my hearing aids there and the rep I work with was kinda thin there for a while because he was doing several offices. But his secretary was always able to clean them and readjust them. They're a really nice outfit to work with in Wabash.
When you can go and get a bunch of stuff online only at a fraction of the cost, hearing aids are too expensive. I paid over 7,000 for my first pair. Then, I went in for my yearly checkup, which they never charged me for, and I decided to upgrade. It was the same amount, except I got a trade-in allowance on them. They let the trade-in of the old ones for 2,800. I paid 1,000 on it and I’ve got a year to pay it off with no interest.
I upgraded my hearing aids and I really like them. They're so comfortable I actually got in the shower with them the other night. These are a little bit bigger than the ones I previously had because the batteries are a little bit bigger. Their rep said the other ones' batteries would go out about every three to four days if I wore them every day and these last seven to ten days. Also, when I turn the hearing aids down, I can hear it click in both ears, which the other one didn’t do. And I can turn them down or I can hold them down and they would down background noise that my other ones never did. So, the technology is a lot better and, for some reason, they fit in my ear better.
When I take my hearing aids out now, it’s like I’ve got mufflers on me. They’re a big difference in the hearing. And I can wear them to the movies now and if it's a movie where there’s a lot of action, I can turn them down a lot easier. I recommended Beltone to my brother-in-law four years ago and he went with them in Huntington and got his.

My hearing loss was bad and I went to Beltone. The reps were great and every time I went in, they came up and it was fine. From the beginning, the service person was a lady, then it went through a guy and now, it’s back to a lady. They seemed to know what they were doing. I bought the hearing aid that goes in my ear and goes up around the top. We saw that this was the option that I had as far as a couple of different settings. It also had a remote that I can go up many decibels more.
I’ve got one set for normal and the second setting is set to cut the back noise out if I am in a crowd of people or in a restaurant and I am sitting across the table from my friends. The third setting shuts them off and the fourth setting is for outside. I do hunting, gardening, and a lot of stuff outside, so sometimes, I wanna hear what’s going on all around. My wife would say that I have to put my hearing aids on when she has to repeat something. I am a carpenter and I go to work, so when I use tools, the first thing I do is turn them off. When I’m back home, I sometimes forget to turn it on.
It would be nice if Beltone had a better warranty program. I’ve talked to different people and they said that their hearing aids are warranted even if they lose one or it goes bad. My first set lasted for about six years and it went bad. I had to go $6,000 again and I was kinda disappointed that I spent this much for a set of hearing aids. I don’t know if I’ll do that again if the hearing aid goes bad.

She asked if I had any questions and we discussed them. Also, she was very thorough about the products, the warranty, and everything that went along with it. We discussed her opinion and she did the test. Then, she came out with a model and we tried that and I was 1,000% happy.
I have hearing aids that go behind the ear and I'm happy. I don’t miss any words and they're all good. It’s expensive in a way, but it’s worth it because now, I can listen to television, go someplace and talk to people, and I understand them. But I've gotta call them and make another appointment. I would talk with Tanya about maybe changing something. I’m gonna have to go for an adjustment type. I was gonna call back and get an appointment when my daughter could go with me. She works at a high school and it’s tough to get the time factor because they close at 4:00. But then Tanya said that if there’s some time that comes up, she would stay till 4:15 till we got there. When we get there, she would do the machine thing part of it and make sure that everything works right. I was so happy with the things and the results that she has done for me.

I was critical of one of Beltone's hearing aids that I purchased, I was not happy with it so I voiced my opinion on this site and within a couple of weeks I was contacted by Beltone. They wanted to know why I wasn’t happy with their product so I told him in detail and they listened intently and assured me they would do anything possible to make things right. About a week later I got a call from their local representative and wanted to know if I would come to his office and talk with him about my issues, I said sure so he set up an appointment for the next week.
Today I went to the appointment and was very warmly welcomed we went to his office and talked for a short time and to make a long story short we came to an agreement and I think Beltone bent over backwards to make me happy. I am very appreciative of what they have done and would highly recommended Beltone for your next hearing aid. They have great products and great local service and will do anything to make you happy so if you are in the market for a hearing aid set up an appointment with the local store and you will be glad you did. I bought one for my left ear and had good luck with it for a year or so, but when I bought one for my right ear it was a newer style and had problems from day one. My local attendant was very helpful. He cleaned it several times sent it in for repairs. He replaced parts on it so I do not blame him. The aid I bought first started giving me problems but it’s out of warranty so I don’t wear either one of them. I’m a veteran so I went to the VA and had them check hearing in my right ear and was told my hearing was fine but my left ear did need a aid. So I got 2 hearing aids about $5000.00 that I cannot use. I purchased 2 in the ear hearing aids from Beltone in 2014. Since then they have been repaired or replaced several times. Most times when they have been out of warranty it's cost me 300 to have them repaired. And I have never been happy with the sound quality. I dropped my left hearing a few months ago and it had to be replaced today. The volume kept dropping and then stopped working. Not having my hearing aid causes me great issues at work. And at the moment I don't have another 300 to repair. For the 5700 dollars they cost me I'd expect better quality. If they can completely replace a hearing aid for 300.00 the value of the aid 2850.00. When I can afford to replace them I assure you the replacements won't be from Beltone.

I have worn hearing aids since 1959. They have worked 9 to 12 years without any major problems. Compared to those these are expensive and poor quality. Also when These were bought the dealer informed I could have an app to be installed on my smartphone. After I was fitted they tried to install the app on the smartphone but was unable to. They then said it cost $200 to $230 to install the ap. I did not install it at that cost. The poor quality of the product and the service of the dealer is not worth buying from Beltone The.

My Hearing Aids were ordered on 6/25/18. They arrived on 7/2/18, however, the complete product that I ordered did not arrive. The Z Power Charger did not arrive until a week later, 7/9/18. So I assumed that my 45 day trial period started on 7/9/18. Thereafter, upon each visit, I complained that I could hear what I didn't want to hear, but couldn't hear what I needed to hear, primarily, soft voices. He told me that he couldn't tweak them to my full prescription all at once, because I wouldn't be able to take it. So, he said he would tweak them gradually, which I guess he did, however, I couldn't tell any difference out in the public. I struggled with these things for 43 days and finally decided to return them for refund, which I did on 8/20/18.
I was told that I was 4 days over my 45 day trial period, so he couldn't take them back. I said that I didn't receive the full product order until 7/9/18, so I'm at 43 days. He said, "No, because accessories are not on the contract that you signed." So, I went home and dug out out the contract, and guess what, the Z Power Charger was a line item on the Purchase Agreement that I signed! So, who's right, me or him? I have two beliefs in this whole experience. #1 - I believe the retail purchase price of $8076 for these two hearing aids was inflated so that he could receive the maximum benefit from my Medical Insurance! #2 - I believe the carrot was dangled in front of face long enough so that the 45 day trial period was used up! The moral of this story is, if you're a future customer in need of hearing aids, THINK, before you order from Beltone!!!

I'm very satisfied with Beltone. My hearing was really, really bad and then I got their hearing aid since they're the first ones to call back. Mike, the technician, was a great guy and he helped out in every aspect. I went with the hearing aids that go inside the ears. It's not so obvious as the other ones that hang out. It's the assistive ones that they had. Plus these are automatically pushed back and forth. They extend into my ear during a phone call. Having the Beltone hearing aids has been life changing and I could hear now.

The people at Beltone have been super fine. I got the hearing aids that go behind the ear as it was the recommended model for my particular hearing loss. Before I got the hearing aids, I had to play 1,400,00 times the numbers that people leave on the telephone. But now, that's not a problem anymore. I've also turned the TV back down by five notches, and I don’t have to ask people across the table what they said.
The hearing aids come in different colors and it's a good feature. The rep didn't say about the color options. I had to ask about it and he looked it up on the internet. He was quite surprised when he picked out the color. They don’t have to be mousy brown or tan or mousy tan. I got white ones, and they also have them in green and red. The only thing is that the batteries are free for the first three years but they don’t last very long. You're lucky if you get three days. Beltone said they expected the batteries to go a week so you can change them on Friday to Friday, but I don’t make it Friday to Friday.

I've had severe hearing loss but since having my Beltone hearing aids, I communicate better on the phone and I get to enjoy some music. And for the first time, I get to hear the words with more articulation. I went through a vocational rehab and they were able to make the behind the ear work so that's what I went with. It has Bluetooth and it's the only set that can connect to my phone. And now I can function better that way. Beltone's reps have been wonderful as well. Roger and Linda have been very helpful. Roger does a good job. And so I have been recommending people to go to Beltone.

I went to a hearing doctor when I noticed things weren't right. At home with my wife, she speaks very softly and quietly. When I got my hearing checked, I was told that I have to have hearing aids right at that time but then I figured out they were just trying to sell these things. I later decided to go and try a different doctor. The people who I work with are dealing with Beltone and they highly suggested the lady that works at Burley. I went there and dealt with the doctor, Chelsea, and she said that I've got the same results as my first tests. So, I started talking to her about the hearing aids. I don’t like the price, but that just comes with it.
With Beltone hearing aids, my hearing is so much better now and I can hear my wife loud and clear. I also can’t believe the things that I have not been hearing in the last two years. The hearing aids were kept properly since we got them. We had to send them back two or three times to get things done right, but when I've had to have service, Beltone's customer service has been excellent. I also highly recommend Chelsea. She has done wonders to me and she’s the most amazing doctor I’ve ever worked with in my 59 years of growing up.

We did everything inside Beltone's store and everybody was friendly. They were very informative and always made us a part of what was going on. The style of hearing aid we got our grandmother was the one that sits inside the ear and it's not visible as she didn’t want anybody to see her hearing aid. Her hearing aid helps her a lot. Now, she’s able to hear better and interact in the conversations more.

I like the company, Beltone Hearing Aids. I've had other hearing aid brands before, such as Miracle Ear, and the cost of Beltone's hearing aid was right in the ballpark of the right price and I was okay with it. The reps have been great. They've been doing a good job and going along with the updated systems. But my last, brand-new hearing aid is a great big thing compared to my other ones and it's like putting a potato in my ear. But I've gotta wear it for five years and I'm gonna wear it anyhow. They were supposed to make the hearing aid a little smaller, but they did not. Other than that, I've been with Beltone for 15 years and they've been nice and very good to me. They're very qualified and I'm really happy with them, so that's where I'm gonna stay.

His secretary was excellent and got a fantastic telephone voice. I’ve bought over $20,000 worth of Beltone’s products and their service has been really good to me. Beltone works with Medicare and Medicare hook me in to see them, but Beltone didn’t understand that if there is a serious hearing loss, I need more than three visits and after that, I have to start paying for it. So, for me, it is better to bite the bullet, buy the stuff and get good service. I bought the top-of-the-line each time and I find that their products got better in the last three years though it’s certainly not natural hearing.

These are the most expensive hearing aids I have priced and expected more from them. They are very large, have a tube that has to be replaced every 4 months and wasn't told about that until I received them. They have a very annoying feedback that is set off by wind chimes, grandfather clock, and background noises on the TV. I have been back to Beltone to have this fixed but nothing was done. My hearing experience is only slightly better than the ones I had before and certainly not worth the cost. Unfortunately the area I live in doesn't have a lot of options for purchasing hearing aids therefore Beltone has the advantage. I will drive 2 hours to a larger city to find better hearing aids in the future.

My hearing loss was severe in my left ear and minor in my right ear before I contacted Beltone Hearing Aids. I've spoken with an individual that uses their services and I liked the convenience. I made an appointment with them and went over to their office, and their reps were the absolute best. The minute I walked in and spoke with the rep, Sue, it felt like family. Also, Greg was good and he was head and shoulders above the other technician that I've dealt with. The other one screwed my hearing aid up and I didn't go back to him. I now drive 50 miles to get my hearing aids checked and it's worth it.
There should be some major discount for veterans and senior citizens, though, because the hearing aid's cost was an enormous outlay of money. The three things that people need when they go over 70 years old are services to help them with their hearing, eyes and teeth, but those are the things that none of the insurance companies wanna pay for. I would definitely refer people to Beltone, but I would refer them to their office at Pembroke and not to their office on Sheridan Drive.

To say I am extremely satisfied with my products and service with Beltone, is really not doing them enough justice. I’m 31 and have been wearing hearing aids for about 10 years now. I usually just went to whatever audiologist my PCP recommended, with less than satisfying results and usually exorbitant fees and medical bills. I’ve had about 5 different audiologist work with me through this last decade, and NONE of them came close to the magnificent service and products I’ve received through Beltone. Beltone truly cares for their customers and it shows through their commitment to their customers. I recently moved from a different state. I was incredibly sad to leave my office I got the hearing aids in. It was truly the first time I felt like I was being taken care of and NOT taken advantage of.
My world was changed at the office in Woodstock, VA when I was given Bluetooth technology through my hearing aids! It was an amazing struggle to use the telephone before this, and in an instant, everything became so much easier for me. I will always be grateful for the service and respect I received there! I was told to follow up with a different Beltone office in the current city I live in. Due to my history with audiologist, to say I was nervous is an understatement, but I was not disappointed! Even though I did not purchase my aids at my current office, the staff was/is incredibly kind and understanding of my personal situation. They gladly took over the care and cleaning of my product, and welcomed me with open arms and amazing hospitality!
I am continually awed and inspired by the treatment and care I receive through Beltone. As long as I need hearing aids I will never go anywhere else for them. I am extremely satisfied with my product and service and I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful company to anyone who needs hearing aids. They are truly remarkable in every aspect that I’ve experienced with them. Thank you for everything you have done for me!

Everybody else knew my hearing loss was that bad except me. So I went to Beltone and the people there have been really good to me. They do everything they can to help, but at the same time protect the integrity of their company. It’s always, “We’ll, let’s send it in and have them do this...” I’ve had nothing but problems with the right one since I got it. It never fit good. They reshaped it and did this and that. Also, its microphone fell out and another time it just cracked, not because it was dropped. And then I took it back over there a couple of weeks ago and they’re gonna replace all the circuitry in it. While the right has been nothing but a nightmare, the left one works fine. Overall, I love the hearing aids and I don’t have to ask, “What?” nearly as much now.

I wear them every day. I got the one that goes over behind the ear and is clear that it is less likely to be seen because I didn't want one that completely went inside my ear.
The first ones that I got were pretty expensive. It's like, "Well, to be able to hear I guess, we'll just suck it up and pay the price." But when I went in less than a year ago when I got the ones that I've got now, the staff looked up online through my insurance and found out that the amount that my insurance would pay for hearing aids. And then we found the hearing aids that were compatible with that price and they're the ones that I can hook my hearing aids up to my telephone and hear through my hearing aids. To my surprise, I received a phone call from a District manager from Beltone on Wednesday night (June 5th). I went to Beltone on June 6th and Mr. ** assisted me with my issues. He listened and seemed to understand my issues. I believe he realized how afraid I was to even insert a hearing aid in my ear after the problems I've had. He was polite and very professional. He looked in my left ear and saw that it was inflamed. He offered to replace the rechargeable batteries with new ones. He suggested that I have a custom-fitted earpiece with no removable parts - at no charge. I have an appointment on Wednesday (June 13th) to have a mold made and sent to the lab.
My hearing aids still sit on my dresser as I am terrified they will come apart in my ears. I will wait for this new possible solution and I am trying to be optimistic that the molded earpiece will solve this problem. However, I will reserve that opinion for later. I do appreciate the steps Beltone has taken to resolve this issue and I will certainly update this post once the fitting has been done and I see how they work for me. I really hope it works out.

I purchased my hearing aids about 4 months ago. I purchased them mainly because of the Calmer App and a referral from my sister. The hearing aids worked great for a couple of weeks but really made my ears itch. I thought it was just me getting used to them. Within a month we were replacing little parts on the end of the hearing aids - the calmer app would work once in a while - never consistently. I've had to go to an ENT to have the little rubber part removed. This is NOT good. The batteries never last 12 hours. I'm lucky if they last 8!
My ear hurts from the poking and prodding of removing the rubber tip! When you call Beltone to complain or even attempt to return the hearing aids they refer you to the site where you purchased them. They sit on my dresser more than they are in my ear. I now have an appointment in 2 days to see someone at my Beltone location to look at my hearing aids yet again! I'm not happy with the hearing aids and Beltone should allow me to return them and refund my money. Please assist if there is anything you can do.

In Dec. 2015, I purchased a Beltone Legend 664 hearing aid. At first it was great. Soon my ears were itching like crazy. I was allergic to the material in the receivers. Beltone replaced them with UP receivers at no cost to me. Thank you. I got what I paid for. The new receivers are so uncomfortable, and extremely difficult to put in and take out of the ear canal. Also, the receivers do not properly release the pressure in my ears. Needless to say, the hearing aids spend more time on my dresser than helping me hear. Kevin has done everything possible to help the situation. He has ground off some of the hard plastic (?) that goes into the ear and cleaned them well. He comes to our town only one day a month so that makes it even more trying for both of us. The hearing aids have been sent in for repairs twice when the right hearing aid stopped working altogether.
Now that the warranty is up, the hearing aids sound like tin again and the receivers are still extremely uncomfortable. Beltone has sent me a coupon offering an $895 trade in on other hearing aids. Seriously? I've already paid $3626.45 of the $7024.00 the Legend 644 will cost me by the time I finish paying for them. Surely there has to be other hypoallergenic tips (receivers) available. Whatever happened to the quality products Beltone produced in years past? What am I suppose to do now?

Beltone is close by and just up the street from my place. Their staff are very nice and Karen makes me feel welcome. She sits there, listens to me, gives everybody their own time and not in a hurry. I like her. Now because of my hearing loss, it was difficult to understand people when they talk especially if it was a crowded room. Then it got worse and the sound is muffled.
I’ve been wearing hearing aids for about six years now from Beltone and I'm on my third set now. It’s the newest one they have out. It goes behind the ear then I put it in my ear and there’s also a wire that goes in the ear. And I chose the top quality one because I want to make sure I can hear. I had to get used to it in the beginning. Karen tried different round pieces that go in the ear and put them on then take them off to make it comfortable. So, she was very helpful and everything is good.
But most of the time, I feel aggravated because I like to watch TV and I don’t understand what they’re saying. It could be the channel since some programs come in very clear, like the news which is very loud and so I have no problem with it. I worked with the phone and Karen showed me how to adjust it, yet I might not be doing it right. Then if I’m outside, I can hear people talking, the birds, the traffic, anything that’s going on, and people talking to me. Sometimes, I forget I got them in and I go lay down. I go to sleep at night and then all of a sudden, I’ll turn over and go, “My hearing aids is stolen.” Then I’ll just take them out and put them under the other pillow. Until I go use the bathroom, then that’s when I put them in the little box that they gave me. So, all in all, I would recommend Beltone.

OK, first off, the initial experience with the office I went to was fine. Everything was explained clearly to me. No pressure. The staff was very helpful and professional. I was quite pleased with the product initially, which, for $6000+ for a pair of Legend 17s I should have been. The issues arose after about 4 months when I was outside the US, where I live 11 months out of the year. The first one failed. So, I scheduled a time with the local office where I live in South America. The fact that Beltone has an international presence and a global warranty was a big selling point. The connecting tube had failed. They replaced it.
About two months later the other device failed (6 months from purchase and I'm seeking service a second time) so back I went. This time it would require factory repair, and the local office said I had to go back to where I purchased the units. You know, over 6000 miles away. I explained that they're under warranty but that didn't matter. So I found someone heading to the US to carry and mail them, contacted the original office, explained the situation, and got a response indicating that they were incredulous about my experience.
I contacted Beltone corporate via email and was told that they let franchises determine their policies on return and repair. Huh? Global warranty? Really? When I questioned this, they discontinued replying. After the repair, or most likely replacement, I had to have international shipping back to me, at a fairly significant expense, and found that my original programming was not restored. We're now 9 months into ownership and I've had both devices functional at the same time for about 5 months. That didn't increase because as soon as the repaired one arrived the other one failed. Again. By this time I'd resigned myself to carrying it to the US in 2 months and I just adjusted the volume of the other one.
That's year 1. I took the now not functioning device to the original office, they diagnosed it as failed, and sent it away. About a week later I picked it up. I now had two functional devices again. A month later, the connecting tube on the recently repaired/replaced device failed. Another office in the US -- I was traveling -- did the repair with no questions asked. Still, a $3000 device failing in a month? I paid out of pocket for these things and can't afford to pay for repairs this often when the warranty expires next year.
So, I'm now 22 months in with these devices and have one that has started occasionally not picking up ambient sounds and another that sometimes has some noise in it that interferes with conversations when it's present. I see little sense in going to the local office because they won't repair it locally, and by the time I mail it to the US and get it back, I'd be just as well off to take it myself and enjoy what benefit I get from these things. There's year 2 so far. What I'd say is that the experience largely depends on your tolerance for returning the devices for repair and the quality of the office you deal with. For me, I'll be looking long and hard for replacements when the warranty expires, and Beltone may not get my business back.

I felt left out all the time because people, especially in a crowded room, I didn't know what they were saying. The noise was there but I couldn't understand. I live out in the country and Beltone is just 10 miles away. It's convenient. Pat their rep was just wonderful. He's a nice guy, but he just didn't explain to me how to change the batteries and the filters. The only thing he told me was they'd clean them for me free. He also hit me at first somewhere between $8,000 to $9,000. And I told him, "There's no way."
And a couple of years went by and I stopped in and talked to him, told him, I might have a couple of thousand dollars. That's all I could spend. And the guy said, "You may be in luck. We've got some specials." He came up with $1980. And I thought that was kind of coincidental. But, I got them. I couldn't play the TV if anybody came because I had to have it up on 75. Now, I run on 18. It's good. In fact, I sent my son over there and he bought two of them. I also recommended Beltone to another friend and Beltone has that $100 giveback for a recommendation. But I haven't got it yet.

Beltone is local, are close enough to my house and was the easiest choice to use. They seemed to be reasonable price-wise and when I talked with other people that had hearing aids, it was quality. Their service reps were very helpful and did a good job. I got the behind-the-ear model and it seemed to be the best one for what I needed. It's good, so far. It takes a little getting used to, but it's helpful. Beltone has taken care of me, does free visits for the cleaning and the battery and I'm happy.

My first new set of these things, was not good. In 2 and 1/2 years I had to have them sent for repairs 5 times. When they were sent in the last time, I called Beltone in Chicago and asked if they would just keep them and send me a $2000 refund. At first they said "no" and stated that they would give me 6 months more warranty. Why, so I could send them in for repairs, I wondered. I said no. It will be social media or small claims court. Then, the local Beltone dealer called and said if I bring the other one in, Beltone would send me a new pair.
Well, I waited two weeks and they finally came into the crabby dealer. I then went to her office to pick them up. When there, I received the new hearing aids and said I was going to sell them as I am buying a new pair of a different brand. Sheryl, my dealer, got mad and went to her office slamming the door. I have now been wearing the Bel Tones for 3 days while waiting for my other brand of new ones to arrive. The right one went dead. Time to send the new one in for repairs. 3 days of use, mind you. Worst pieces of junk I have ever owned.

2014 I purchased a $6000.00 set of hearing aids. $2325.00 down and office financed the rest. $325 a month, auto withdrawal per mo. I could never hear, so I went back 2 or three times a month, finally I told Nick that I was stopping payments until I could hear. By this time I had paid them $4400.00 plus, so for the next year I was back in the office time and time again. Finally Nick called me "a crazy ole woman".
They finally told me they were going to upgrade me to their "Legend" their best. They told me if I paid them $90.00 they would forget the rest of the bill. Witness was there. So after a few days I still couldn't hear, so after aggravating a couple of mo's I went back in. I was told these were notorious for wax build up so he took it to the back and came back out, and said give me the other one and ill clean it also. Then he came out and told me he couldn't give them back to me because I owed then $1600.00. I cannot find an attorney who will take such a small case. Beltone now has my $4400.00 and my hearing aids. Miracle-Ear was suggested to me, I spent & 2500 and I can hear fine.

I lost one of my hearing aids, my family took me to Beltone to get new ones. Ed helped me did the test and showed me a pair and I bought it. Here's where the problem start. The first week I had them the left aid started to shut down after 8 hours and had to be recharged. I called Beltone and Ed fixed the problem. 1 month later it started up again, so back I go to Ed. Now thinks it's the battery. So he ordered a new one. Along with this problem came the hearing piece falling out enough so I could not hear, Ed fixed it again with a larger earbud. Then the new battery was installed and it did not fix the problem so Ed change the little door and another new battery finally the left aid was working!!!!
About two weeks down the road the right aid is now not working at all so I'm waiting to see Ed but unfortunately he had a car accident so I'm waiting to see a fill in. The office people are great but these hearing aid are awful. I've been wearing hearings for about 30 years and never had a problem with brand new hearing aids. I will never recommend Beltone to anyone.

If you buy your Beltone Blue (Gold Series) hearing aids out of state and return to your home city. The local dealer of Beltone Aids might be a private enterprise. They will not honor the free batteries for a year benefit. They require you to go back to the state where you purchased the hearing aids. This seems stupid and not good customer relations. They also don't mention this inconvenience when you purchase these expensive hearing aids.

The name Beltone Hearing Aids is well-known and at the time, the location was very convenient so I bought a Legend hearing aid from them. It goes behind the ear and then it has a little rubber dome on it. I also had them put the little tails on the wires because it stays in better and I feel more secure. It was a big expense but my insurance covered part of it, which was helpful. Their crew in Fayetteville has been excellent. Their receptionist Shiela is absolutely wonderful. No matter what I needed, she was able to take care of it. I have also seen both of their techs and they were very professional, friendly, outgoing and very thorough. They're terrific. I also take my mom there, as well as my husband before he passed away, because I was so pleased with Beltone and their people.
At Christmas time, my mother and my daughter went in and bought me the charging unit as a gift so I don't have to change batteries anymore. Again, it was well handled by their staff. I’m sight impaired so this is much easier for me. My mother already had one and she is pleased with hers too. About three years ago, I went to Beltone's office in downtown Florida and whatever it was that I needed, they took care of that and they were good too. Some members of my family, a couple of friends and I have had a very positive experience with Beltone.

I bounced around to different operations, different manufacturers and some of the independent people here. I tried out hearing aids and Beltone was by far a superior quality. I've recommended them to a number of people just because of that. I was also impressed with the first person that I dealt with and for the first couple of years. It was a woman that was operating the Beltone office there. When this office was taken over, a gentleman by the name of AJ took my hearing aid and made an adjustment to it, and it was so far superior. There was a number of things that he did that I wasn’t aware I should have been doing that gave me a much better experience.
I got a small unit that goes behind the ear and then has a little tube that goes down into my ear. It was the one that was suggested by the hearing aid specialist that tested my hearing. I wear it every day and I like the size of it, and they've been trouble-free. It's comfortable, effective and I can adjust it for different circumstances. It's really made a big difference for me. I was having trouble hearing children’s and women’s voices, which is the usual first sign of hearing loss, and now I'm hearing more clearly in different circumstances. I did have one little bleep where it wasn’t communicating with the little handheld remote that I have. I dropped by the office, and in 10 seconds they showed me what I needed to do to reboot it. Everything has been fine other than that.
I was a little flustered to find out that not everybody is happy with the experience they get in a Beltone. My brother got one based on my recommendation and he's happy with them, but he has trouble getting adjustments that he feels he needs. It's the individuals in the office that make all the difference in the world. I'm the perfect example of having experienced that. I hope that it continues to improve across the company. But hearing aids in general are really expensive. I don’t know how long I can expect to wear these but I'm not inclined to make another purchase at that level anytime soon.

My husband loves Beltone. He worked in a factory many years ago that didn’t provide ear protection, and lost almost all of his hearing in his left ear and half of it in his right ear. The doctor recommended the hearing aids and they’ve helped him with his hearing problem. The hearing aids are behind his ear and they come over with a clear plastic thing and a thing inside the ear. He tried other ones but my husband was told those hearing aids were the ones that best met his needs. He usually deals with Beltone's customer service team and always feels very good when he comes back from there. They're very faithful. They’ve made it clear he can go there anytime he wants even without an appointment.
Without the hearing aids, all he just says is, “What?” or misinterprets what you're saying totally or just hears noise. You couldn’t even walk on the left side of him 'cause he couldn’t understand what I was saying. Also before, even when he was driving, I was so concerned because he couldn’t even hear sirens coming. But now, you could converse with him. We would recommend Beltone. I love their service. They're very committed to helping my husband no matter what.

Beltone was the old-time name that I knew of and whose credibility was never in doubt. Several of the other people that I had seen were like mattress companies on every corner that flimflam at us. I liked the way Beltone was presented to me. The personnel seemed very conscientious and they really appreciated the opportunity to work with me.
Initially, I was there and I met a young lady who did the diagnosis, and she was very professional meticulous. She was really the reason I went back to Beltone. I also met with Eric in Libertyville who's a nice young man that seems to have all the credentials that I'm looking for as far as being responsive, attentive, and really working towards improving my ability. I use their team on a daily basis whenever I have a problem. I see them fairly often whether it's battery replacements, problems with cleaning my hearing aids or whatever they’ve done to help me to be able to succeed on my own and become fairly independent.
I got the hearing aid that goes over my ear, but the inner-working goes into my ear. I'm a top-of-the-line guy and I don’t like to take a shot at something that might work as opposed to something that, with all reason, should work. I have occasional problems with one-on-one conversations where there might be three people, but for the most part, I'm doing well. If it gives me the opportunity to talk one-on-one with people across the desk and hear them even though the tone of their voice might be soft, I'm satisfied. My partial hearing loss was difficult in certain instances, but my hearing has improved dramatically and I'm happy with it. I've spoken up on behalf of Beltone to several of my friends.

I signed up for two classes recently, and I had to drop both of them 'cause I couldn’t hear. I went with Beltone but I haven't been really happy since I got it. I tried and tried, but I couldn’t get them to stay in my ear. They have fallen out of my ear when I'm in the car with a heavy coat on, and they’ve dropped out of my ears at home in all different places. I never felt that I was getting strong enough service from the man who owns Beltone now.
I went to Beltone the other day and a young woman was in there. She checked me and she was very good about it. She answered all my questions and was confident with what she was saying. She cleaned the hearing aids. She also put a tiny little piece of plastic on each one of them that you bend and stick in the side of your ears. It seems to hold the hearing aid in and it's the most improvement that I've had. She knows what she's doing and I love her. It's been a very scary thing since I bought it because it took me five years to pay them off. I cannot afford them anymore. I'm stuck with this, so I'm going to need good service when I go to Beltone. I'd been so disgusted with it that I said I would never buy Beltone again. But I want to give this a fair chance and see if I can suffice with it.

I am coming up on the first anniversary with my Legend aids. While it has helped my hearing a bit, Beltone as a vendor has been a frustrating experience. I choose Beltone in part as it is BCBS partner and that the audiologist was personable and a hearing aid wearer. The week after I took delivery, I found out that he retired the day after my delivery, but never mentioned he would not be there my next visit. His replacement who was a nice fellow was clearly a rookie with little experience. He left after several months and the office is not staffed on a full time basis. One aid failed and needed to be replaced. The new aid has new software which makes it no longer compatible with the android phone app (which was another reason I chose Beltone). Beltone is not proactive about fixing the app compatibility, telling it's up to Android to fix it. Very frustrating experience. Feel I like a was sold a bill of goods with no support behind it.

At first, I had a behind the ear unit. I put it inside and put it around my ear in the back. Beltone told me that I was required to have a different hearing aid because of the insurance and the one I have now, I still put it inside the ear and there's a little antenna that I put it inside around your ear. They're also smaller compared to what I had. I had been with them for three years now. I could hear more with it but sometimes it's kind of hard for me to distinguish what the person is telling me. However, they're too expensive but I will recommend it to a friend.

I went in for the audiology exam with Beltone and the audiologist showed me the insides of my ears which I had not seen in 30 some years of going to an ear, nose and throat specialist. I then had a hearing test on both ears to measure the hearing loss in my left ear. Nobody ever told me how bad the hearing in that side was. I had some extensive work done on my left ear which necessitated the hearing aid. Getting to see the work that was done was quite fascinating. Their customer service was absolutely fantastic too, everything that I had done with them.
I went with a hearing aid that sits on the top of my ear and a little wire runs into the speaker that goes into my ear. It’s the only one I could use because of the work that was done with my ear, kind of rearranged the internals of it. Having an internal hearing aid wouldn’t have been possible. But my hearing aid is worth every penny. My wife doesn’t have to repeat herself nearly as often now that I have the hearing aid. It’s fantastic to be able to hear things out of both ears like normal. I was trying to figure out where I was going to go to have my hearing checked. When I saw an ad for Beltone, I gave it a chance since it was right here in my neighborhood. I liked the people there like Paden. He was very professional and pointed a few things out to me that I was aware of but wasn't sure that it could be helped. And he really took the time to make sure that each point was taken care of. My return visit was the same and he didn't stop until we got it perfectly.
My hearing aids are not visible to anybody. They go behind the ear and there's a little cone that goes in my ear. Paden did two settings for me and what's important to me is that whatever they did, I can hear again and I'm very happy. The hearing aids are very comfortable too and I wouldn't know what I would do without them. When I forgot them, I was so sorry. I've turned around many times going back home to make sure I had them on.
I have also recommended them to other people. I'd tell them about my experience because experiences speak louder than words. And most of them can say that they can really tell the difference and that's what's great. But I would tell them not to put it off any longer because they're missing out on a lot by not being able to hear.
A lot of people are embarrassed and they think that maybe they feel like they're getting old. But the most important thing is that they can hear what their children and grandchildren are saying around the table or in a meeting. There is nothing is worse than not being able to do that. The other thing that I experienced before I had my hearing aid was going to the doctor and my daughter would go with me sometimes but she'd tell me that I am shaking my head for yes when I should've said no. I would ask too what the doctor said. I was a little bit like other people thinking that was kind of embarrassing. I didn't know if I wanted to wear hearing aids but they make so much difference.

I have about 75 percent hearing loss on both ears, then I got a hearing aid. My wife has had Beltone hearing aids for about 15 years and has a lot of experience with them, so I decided to get mine from them as well. I did the hearing test at their office, and they asked what my primary problems were, then they did a hearing screening. They also tried to sample hearing aids on me, which worked, so I decided to take them. They fine tuned the hearing aid, and I left with them. I didn’t want something stuck in my ear all the time, so, I got the model that goes over the ear, with a little wire that goes in the ear canal, and it functions terrifically.
The hearing aids cost $6000, but with the effort that goes into it, as well as the follow up that they go through, it’s worth it. I hear everything now, and the hearing aids that I got are convenient, which is another reason why I went for it. All I got to do is put them in the charger and then take them out. So, I don’t have to worry about running out of battery, or mess with opening the battery case. They also hooked it up to my cellphone, and what’s nice is that I’ve got Spotify on my phone, so when I take my dog for a walk, I can play music off the phone into my ears through my hearing aids. And it’s crystal clear because of the tone rings. It’s a really neat feature, which is a big benefit for me. They’re also very comfortable and I hardly ever notice that I have them in my ears. But after they’re in for seven or eight hours, it starts to itch a little bit, and all I do is pull in a little string which moves it back and forth eight of an inch, and that takes care of that.

My hearing loss was pretty bad. I got a virus in my left ear and that went dead. My ear doctor that tried to save my left side ear said that he heard of a certain type of hearing aid and for me to go to my hearing aid people and ask them if they could fix me one. I’ve always gone to Beltone and other people that I know go there too. I trust them and they’re the best. They fixed me that certain hearing aid that picks up on the left ear and brings it back over to the right side. I'm thinking that I'm hearing out of two ears instead of just one and that's really good.
It comes behind my head and it has some kind of a wire. The wire goes into the left side and it hooks into my ear. It has a little thing that I can pull it up with then it goes over to the right side. Both of these wires fit in there and it hooks over my ear like a hearing aid. And the cost was reasonable and my hearing aids are picking up pretty well.
Ashley is their staff that takes care of me and she’s so patient and knows how to help me with everything that I'm having problems with. She's just excellent. I don’t hear really well but when I go back to her, she’s going to set it up a little bit and then it’ll be perfect. I’ve had very good luck with Beltone and I would recommend them. They do a good job like testing one's ears and they take care of any problems that one might have.

I got my first set of Beltone hearing aids when I was living in Connecticut. I went and talked to them, tried something on and got a pair. They had me come in every three months for cleaning them and check them out and everything. When I moved here to Florida, there was a Beltone place but it was independent. The guy would clean them whatever the cycle was that he put me on but then he quit and left.
They opened another place just down the road which is cooperate. The guy there was very good and I was very happy with the office. They were very professional and courteous. I can go back there anytime I need to if there's a problem. I got fitted with a new set because when I brought the old ones in which I hadn't worn for a while, he said the contact set got a little acid corrosion on them which is usually good for five years before the new technology comes out. So, since I had these for close to 10 years, I got another set from Beltone because I've been there before not quite a year ago.
A day or two days after I got the new hearing aids, I went and jumped to the pool and forgot I had them in. I heard them squeal so I jumped out the pool right away, took them out and tried to dry them off. Since they're under warranty anyway, I just sent them in. I got them back a week later and the only problem I was that the plastic and the one that goes in the ear were so thin that I actually put a tiny crack in it just by brushing it.
I came in a couple weeks later to make sure everything was fine and have been back twice since then because for some reason, sometimes I really don't notice the difference when I take them out than when they were in. It bugs me that the left one seems to kill the battery a day or so sooner than the right one. So I'm always tossing a battery that might have a little bit time left away because I just replace the full set. I usually get a call from them asking me to bring the hearing aids in for cleaning but I haven't heard from them for a couple of months now. I know we should be able to remember to bring things in but maybe they could call their current customers on a regular basis.

Would rate 0 if I could. I was excited and ready to purchase hearing aids in the fall after an initial consult this summer. However after seeing my primary for a sick visit and mentioning my intention of purchasing hearing aids, she asked if I could provide her a copy of the hearing exam for my medical records. I didn't think it being an unusual request so I called the local Beltone in Auburn, MA around October 14, 2017. I was told a copy of my exam would cost $125. I told the call center rep (that called me back in place of the local office directly) that I thought that was outrageous since a few years before it only cost me about $30 to get 33 years of medical records copied and sent to my new primary AND that I believed that was in violation of MA state law regarding HIPAA and non-HIPAA providers and what they can charge for copies of a patients medical records.
I was told that it was franchise rules and that I would need to call corporate. I called a number and was told a message would be sent to corporate. It has been over two months and I still have not heard back. I was fully planning on spending $5K to $6 for hearing aids but after this ridiculous request I don't think that will still occur. I still want a copy of my medical record for a reasonable price per HIPPA and MA law below. Here is the link regarding MA state laws and HIPAA (covers but audiologists and hearing aid specialists). I don't believe I misread the regulations but there is always the slight chance... www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/borim/physicians/medical-records-brochure.doc.

The second pair, they gave them to me. I bought the third pair and it's the best I've ever had. I wear them at night but I take one out 'cause it hurts my ear. I go see their reps every now and then. They would call me and get my hearing aids checked. However, the battery doesn't last long enough. I change it every four days. But so far, the hearing aids have been fine.

My husband had been using Beltone for a number of years in Connecticut, and when we moved here 13 years ago, he decided he would continue. He wanted to check for prices and he went to another purveyor, and he didn't feel that it was any better than what he had. He has one of the higher-end Beltone hearing aids, and he has all kinds of adjustments and things he can make on it. He went to an audiologist and a doctor and he felt that the care he got was good and what he purchased was helping him.
My husband has always been very pleased with Stephanie. She is a hearing care representative at the Port St. Lucie, Florida office and she has been terrific. We've been going to her a lot whenever there's a problem, and she has always been helpful. She really is lovely and very thorough. Without my husband's hearing aids, it's impossible to communicate with him. And Stephanie also recommended that I wear a transmitter so when he speaks to me, it's amplified for him. It was really helpful. He has some adjustments on the phone, too, and he puts it on speaker phone. Beltone encourages you to come back if you're not happy. They work with you, and they seem very caring. The office itself is comfortable to be in, and it's convenient.

We went to the senior center here in Pocatello and Beltone came down and did free hearing tests. I'm 76 years old and I've talked to other people my age who have hearing aids. Some of them have dealt with other providers around the area and several were saying to avoid certain places. But Sabrina at Beltone has done a fantastic job and I tell other people who have hearing problems to see her.
Sabrina did the preliminary test at the center and told me that I have hearing loss, which I already knew. Then she told me we needed to do a comprehensive test so we went up to their office and did an hour and a half long test. She pointed out where my hearing loss was and what was happening and told me how they can help. Her knowledge of the product and the fact that she cares were impressive. I also liked that when my wife and I decided to go for it, I didn't have to wait weeks or a month. She left the room and came back with the hearing aid. The hearing aid works and it's helped a lot.

My hearing aids were supposed to work with my iPhone 7 but don’t. I called Beltone and Apple. I have the Beltone True PSE 963-DRW. There is no way to pair them with spending more money for a gadget. I don’t have that money and I don’t want another gadget.

My wife had done some research and said that Beltone was what we were going to get. I’ve had Miracle-Ear at one point and they have rebuilt it three times and I never could wear it. It’s getting worse and worse, so I gave up on that. Beltone seems to be working out just fine. It amplifies sound so I can hear. It sits behind my ear. It’s not exactly visible. My glasses interfere with it but I can hear with it. So, I’ll put up with that.
The person who fitted me with the hearing aid did an excellent job. We’re quite pleased. Plus, if we have any issues at all, we give them a call and we can get right in and get it taken care of immediately. I’m very happy with the guy here locally. We went in a while back because my wife’s hearing aid appeared to have quit. He instantly got us in the office on a walk-in and checked it over. The little black screen had gotten clogged. He cleaned the thing all up and replaced that and the little earbud thingies. She’s quite happy at this point with it. While we were in there, he took mine and cleaned them and gave them back. That was excellent customer service.
The hearing aid makes my life a lot better. I’m a volunteer with the Sheriff’s Department and for a long time, I’ve had trouble understanding the dispatcher because she comes through a speaker mic on my portable radio. Now with those in, I get much better clarity from the dispatcher and I can actually tell what she’s telling me to do. This is critically important that I’d be able to understand and respond to her. This has helped me greatly in that respect. The experience has been very satisfactory. The hearing aids have done exactly what they promised they would do and we haven’t had a moment’s trouble with them.

Beltone hearing aids fit right into my ears without a lot of extra things noticeable and I get good service from them. I have had their hearing aids for seven years. I thought they were the only one in Hagerstown so I chose them. It was my first hearing aids, so when I talk to other people that have a different kind of hearing aids, I would say in a really kind way that if they go with Beltone, they wouldn't have any problems. So far, we go to Hagerstown when I needed anything from them. And they make sure that everything is clean and working. I really appreciate the help they give. All in all, I'm so pleased with Beltone. They served me well and I would recommend them to anybody that wants to know about getting hearing aids.

I bought one of Beltone’s expensive hearing aids. It goes behind the ear and then it runs into it. I have also bought a used hearing aid before and it was cheaper than what I was looking at from Professional Hearing. They’re a huge company, but I went with Beltone and I'm very happy. The hearing aids work for me. I like that it dings to tell you when you have a low battery, and I also like is I can go back and get checked every three months to make sure they're working. I have recommended Beltone Hearing Aids to several of my friends.

The man who gave me my previous hearing aids had a drawer full of loose hearing aids. It was very apparent that my hearing aids were set up for someone else because they had absolutely no resemblance to anything at all with my hearing problems and he charged me a fortune. I paid 6,000 for my hearing aids. The company was nasty and horrendous, and they wouldn't work with me. I got his secretary to call me because they claimed the hearing aids were lovely. They were lovely to them, but not to the customer. So she sat there and listened to all these awful stuff and then she got it canceled for me. He told me that my ears would connect to the hearing aids and my own nerves would start picking up and I would start hearing. She explained to me that that was a total fabrication.
I kept waiting for mine to pick up and each time I would go in I would say I can't hear. He was having me sign that things were fine and they weren't. It was just terrible because I'm active nationally in the Republican party and I taught bible study fellowship, and while they could hear me, I couldn't hear anyone talking to me. And it just got worse and worse. He changed out my hearing aids two or three times but it never made a difference. I had to pay another 1,500 to get a replacement hearing aid.
Finally, I borrowed a friend's hearing aids and I could hear with some of theirs. I called Beltone and they have been absolutely wonderful. They have delightful doctors and their doctor started testing me. She started telling nothing matched to what he's said. She sat down and spent an entire hour explaining how my ears were and explained to me how the hearing aids work. When I walked out of her office that afternoon, I could hear the questions they asked me in the bible study. I can now hear beautifully and I have told everyone go to Beltone in Georgetown. I was really delighted to be able to hear people talk to me and have people not get mad at me and scream at me. I got the ones in the ear but they are not as comfortable as the behind the ear model which I prefer. I can also hear music better with the behind the ear type.

Beltone was close to my house when we lived in Virginia Beach and I always remembered their name, so I went in and checked them out. Diane, the lady who ran the Beltone Virginia Beach office, was great. I liked her a lot and I got the Beltone hearing aids. But a year after, I thought that these were old lady hearing aids and I wasn't that old yet, so I went to an audiologist and tried some other ones. I was in law school at that time and while I was trying the other brand of hearing aids, my girlfriend said that I should go back to Beltone. Since then, I've been a Beltone customer and my current Beltone set is the third one that I've had.
The Beltone hearing aids that I am using now provide much clearer and crisper sounds. I can hear much better with them than I used to, even with the last Beltone product I had. I love the rechargeable feature. But I would like Beltone to improve the rechargeable battery as I need these to last, sometimes for 16 hours a day, and they don’t do that.
Originally, it was difficult for me to get the Beltone hearing aids because I wasn't told that, for people like me who are on active military duty, these are paid for. After I found out about this, though, I had to apply to have these and it took a little while to get this going. But Beltone didn't cover the leasing option. I'm still young enough that I need new technology every couple of years, so the leasing option works better for me.
There's a perception that the Beltone hearing aids are for old people. Most of the time, however, the people I saw at Beltone, such as at the offices of the audiologist or the ENT, were younger people, but there were not many people who lost their hearing as early as I did. I found the quality of the Beltone hearing aids to be really good and younger people need to understand that this is a good product. Also, I like where Beltone is going with the development of better hearing aids and more flexibility for people like me who are still out there working or doing something.

It's very important for me to hear everything, especially when I have to go to my doctor's appointment. Beltone first gave me a test to see how much I could hear and they told me about their hearing test. When I went to their office, the doctor was there and he showed me three different types of hearing aids. He told me that the small one was better for me. He told me everything about it, and then told me how to use it, how to take it off and how to put on the battery. I'm very happy with it. The first night that I was watching TV, I really enjoyed every word they were saying. I love it. At night, I turn off the unit and take it off and in the morning I wear it again. I would recommend Beltone to anyone who wants to hear what's going on.

I have two of Beltone's top of the line hearing aids. I initially had to get a hearing aid because I lost my hearing due to meningitis. It diminished my hearing to the point where I needed to use a set of hearing aids. I went through the whole process of testing and tried Beltone's hearing aids set for a month. I liked them, so I purchased them. Three years later, I bought a second set. I upgraded to a better version of the hearing aids. Three years after that, which was just back in December, I upgraded again. Now, I'm on a leasing plan for the hearing aids that I have. They function really well for me from the get-go so I stay with Beltone.
Also, as long as Gary, the personal friend, stays in business in Palm Coast, I'll continue to use him as my go-to person for this kind of stuff. I really like him. Not being able to hear and then being able to hear is a night and day thing. Beltone has treated me very well and it allows me to hear. I also like its Bluetooth feature. It allows me to connect to my cell phone and I like that I can adjust the treble and the bass through the app that I have on my phone to allow me different settings.
I also have the rechargeable batteries but they tend to run out quicker for me, especially the right ear. Gary told me that the right ear would run out quicker because of the loss of hearing that I have in that ear. It's so severe that they had to jack up the settings so it uses the energy quicker. Even though the rechargeable batteries will run out, I can also put in the regular batteries which will allow me to continue without having to stop and recharge the batteries. It's been a very good experience for me. My quality of life improved because of it, so I'm very satisfied. I will continue to use their product. When people ask about my hearing aids, I tell them that they're Beltone.

I’ve been using Beltone products since 2008 and I’m very satisfied with the experience. I had hearing loss and I needed some help, so I went to see them. I had already tried a couple of other ones and wasn’t satisfied. They’re the kind of hearing aids that you insert in your ear and I got this feedback that I couldn’t wear a bandana even because it would make the noise unbearable. Also, if I’m in a crowded room, I still won’t hear very well. Patty, the rep from Beltone, let me try one on. I wore it at home for 30 days and I liked it. Patty was wonderful and great too. She was never pushy and she didn’t ever try to sell me out. Every time I'd go in for an appointment, she’d fix whatever it is that was bothering me. When I went in for a regular appointment and found out that she’s retired, I was devastated. But she’s contacted me about a week ago and followed up with how I felt.
I’ve bought thrice from Beltone already. The first one I had was the over-the-ear and inside the ear type, then I got a newer one of the same kind. The other one is also the same type, only it's about three years old now. I like the last ones I have and I like that I don’t get any background noise from it. I'm very comfortable with it as well. Nobody can even tell I'm wearing hearing aids. They're surprised when I show them. Since I’ve had the hearing aids, my life has been better. If I forget to put them in and go out someplace, I'm just lost because I don’t hear half of what anybody is saying.
The only thing about Beltone Hearing Aids is that they’re very expensive. I would like to get a newer one, but I couldn’t afford it. Also, I don’t use all the features that come with the new one, but in order to get a better hearing aid, I have to take all those things that go with it. So, I’d just take care of what I have now and hope that they would work for a long time. Also, the batteries don’t last very long. It’s irritating because the most I can get out of them is 5 days and that is an expense that I still count on. Nevertheless, I would recommend Beltone to anybody. This brand is probably the best and I would do the experience again and in a heartbeat.

I'm very pleased with Beltone. I bought those little hearing aids that go behind the ear. And they are working real well. Their staff is outstanding and helpful and the doctor offers suggestions to improve the hearing because you go through an adjustment time to get used to them. I like that I can talk to someone on the phone with the hearing aids. They have paired my phone with my hearing aids. And the voice cuts through real nice and crisp and clear. When I use a regular phone, I have difficulty hearing even with the hearing aids. But with the pair on the phone, and the hearing aids, it is perfect. I'm very happy with it.

I've been wearing hearing aids for 17 years. I first got them from Kaiser Permanente but had bad luck there. Then I heard from another customer that Ben, from Loma Linda Hearing Aid Center, did great customer service. So, I contacted him and he's been fitting me with hearing aids ever since. He is friendly, very professional and works great with my schedule. I can also walk in off the street and get my hearing aids cleaned. He switched from several other types of hearing aids but whatever he was selling, I was buying because he was so good at it.
Then Beltone bought them and I just kept buying them from him. The Beltone hearing aids I got are behind the ear ones with this little clear wire and the microphone is inside the ear. It works a lot better than the last set I got. I've had three with Bluetooth, but this one really works well. I also like the phone interface to the iPhone. I'm a singer and I'm practically deaf. These hearing aids have given me my life back. I went through a few of those garbage hearing aid providers, and finding someone you can trust, gives you good service, does what they say they're going to do and treats you with decency and respect is hard. But the way Ben runs that store and the way he takes care of his customers is beyond your wildest wants and needs as a hearing aid user. I've brought many people to him.

It’s very popular and they were very nice so I was satisfied when I went in there and talked with them. I like the Bluetooth and the feature that when I’m out and about like in a restaurant, I can put it in a restaurant mode and it gets rid of the background noise.
The staff was very professional and the testing went well. They explained very thoroughly what they were doing. I had to be fitted a couple of times with the tips that went on the hearing piece until it was comfortable for me and they worked with me on that. Beltone is good business and I've been with them for years. What I have from them is a premium hearing aid, but still goes in my ear. It's comfortable to wear and the battery lasts about five days. The people at Beltone have always done me right and treated me fair. They'd always give me a call before my appointment to let me know. They'd also give me a call every time I forgot my appointment. So, I appreciated that a whole lot. They have a rep in Reidsville and I like him pretty well. They do an excellent job. When they got you an appointment, when you walk in, your appointment is there. And if somebody don't show up, he keeps you right there. Or if he's still with somebody before that, he takes you right there.
It is worth the money because a lot of people say, "Oh, I'll do this a little cheaper." But if you look on the long run, you get what you've paid for. And I want it right. I'd recommend Beltone to a friend in a heartbeat. I don't have any trouble working with them. If I do have any kind of trouble, they fix it right away. They don't ask questions. I badly needed hearing aids and I was driving around and I saw Beltone. I have three different programs but I had my hearing aids for a while and I had to get them changed. I have the newest technology of the hearing aids right now. I just got a new pair three weeks ago and they work very well. Rusty was the first one I worked with, and I like him so I try to stick with him. Rusty is the best, and my experience has been very good. My wife gets along good with him, and my sister has gotten hearing aids from him, too.
He used to be in the Falls and then he got transferred over but I found out where he was. He does a very good job and his secretaries are very good, too. If I happen to need something, I can stop in and see him if he's not busy and he could just adjust something for me. If something doesn't feel right, they'll come in and fix it for me right away. We live here in the Falls and the expressway's in the back, and my wife said I couldn't hear her. I had to see Rusty the other day because I was getting too much background noise, and he's got my hearing aids all fixed up now. I recommend Beltone to everybody and I've been giving their cards to people trying to at least help them get their hearing checked. But some people are pretty stubborn. One person told me that the hearing aid makes me look old. But I'm 72 years old and most people don't even know I have them in.
