I would give them nothing, as that is what my husband and I have after purchasing a $909.00 recliner, with a date, 4 days later for white glove delivery! No call, no delivery! We canceled our order as my 90 year old mother needed the chair as scheduled! We tried 4 numbers, no one answers that's human! Just bad music, wasted time and hung up on! Call back numbers, we are still waiting since 12/5! We contacted 2 stores as who has an extra $900., though we were assured we would be reimbursed in 5 - 10 business days, nope! Still waiting online as I write this! We purchased leather living room furniture, in store 2 months ago, guess that meant nothing!

I purchased a sofa from Raymour & Flanigan on November 28 and was told it would be delivered on December 5. I was never contacted to schedule a delivery window, and the delivery date passed with no communication. Starting that Friday and continuing through the following week, I called the 1-800 customer service number every single day. Most calls went unanswered. On Tuesday, I finally reached someone who told me the sofa was not in stock and instructed me to call back on Wednesday. This was confusing and frustrating, since the item was listed as in stock at the time of purchase.
No one ever proactively notified me of a delay or stock issue. After that one call, I was never able to reach anyone again, despite multiple attempts and emails. None of my emails were answered. The only time Raymour & Flanigan responded was after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Even then, there was no apology for the lack of communication or the time wasted. I was simply told the sofa was out of stock and that my order was being canceled.
Had I been informed honestly and promptly, I would have been willing to wait or make another arrangement. Instead, I was left chasing information for weeks with no accountability. This experience was unprofessional, time-consuming, and avoidable. I will not shop with Raymour & Flanigan again, and I would caution others to be aware that delivery dates and communication may not be reliable.

Financial terms from day one. My mistake. I agreed on a mattress on a six months referral interest. Call the office to reconsider my agreement. No one would answer the phone. Inquiring about extension on my plan. Wouldn’t return my call. Considering canceling.

Terrible experience. Our furniture arrived damaged and broken, with my dresser missing—even though I had called Erick in advance to confirm that all pieces would be ready. Additionally, the TV stand was the wrong color. I was also charged twice for another order. When I arrived for pickup, the associate I spoke with (Erick) told me they couldn’t find my order or payment, even though the online department confirmed it had been processed and was ready. I still had to pay again.
My dresser wasn’t available on the scheduled pickup date, and the order—originally set for December 1st—was delayed by a full week, leaving me with nowhere to store my clothes after discarding my old dresser. The store’s phone system is completely useless—no one ever answers. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had with the Garden City NY location.

Took delivery on 12/2 beautiful furniture. Damaged on the sofa leg, delivery guy Took a picture. Said someone would call. No call. So on the 2nd day I called. Can't get through leave a message, no return call. 4th day can't get through. Leave a message. Day 5 no response. Going to the store today. That's a 45 minute ride. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm 63 and have worked in customer service. This is truly the worst. I purchase protection and can't get through, which I should have to use. The worst. DON'T ACCEPT DAMAGED FURNITURE. It will be impossible to resolve. Shame on you Raymour.

On October 22, 2025, our scheduled delivery never arrived. The delivery was then delayed for another week, leaving us with no furniture in our dining room or living room during that entire time. This disruption affected our work and our home life and created significant stress for our family. The sofa was finally delivered on November 6th. The following day, as my husband and I sat on the recliner, we realized it did not fully recline. The footrest collapsed inward every time we extended our legs. We immediately contacted the salesperson, Brian **, to report the issue. A service technician was sent to our home, and after inspecting the furniture, he informed us that the manual reclining mechanism was not suitable for us due to weight constraints and the overall design. He recommended exchanging it for an electric recliner.
We followed the technician’s guidance and waited for Brian to contact us regarding the next steps. Unfortunately, we have not heard back from him or anyone else. We have made numerous calls and have gone to the store multiple times, yet no one has provided a resolution. This sofa was purchased specifically for our Thanksgiving family gathering, but because of these issues, we were unable to host as planned. When guests did visit, the recliner malfunctioned repeatedly, causing embarrassment and frustration. Despite all our efforts, Raymour & Flanigan has failed to demonstrate proper customer service and offer a meaningful solution. We are requesting immediate action to resolve this defective product and the ongoing inconvenience it has caused.

I placed an order for the Bristol recliner sofa and a recliner on November 11th. It is now December 2nd, and I still have no update on when I will receive my items. I have already been scheduled for two delivery dates, both of which were missed without explanation. I originally ordered this set hoping to have it by Thanksgiving, but that deadline has long passed.
When I contacted customer service at the store, I was simply told that the delivery had been rescheduled, with no additional information provided. Additionally, every time I attempt to call the delivery service phone line, I can never get through—whether I call early in the morning or midday. No one answers, and I never receive a call back. I also tried using the chat support, but after waiting more than 45 minutes, no one responded.
One of the chairs was delivered on the third delivery attempt, but the most important item—the sofa—still has not arrived. The delivery employees advised me to contact the store, but since I placed my order online and selected November 18th as my preferred delivery date, this has not been helpful. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received so far. If this continues without any clear explanation or support from employees or supervisors, I plan to escalate my review accordingly. (I've attached proof of scheduled delivery emails and proof of my preferred/expected date).

Buyer Beware!! It has now been over 20 days that we are awaiting a refund. Less than 24 hrs after making a purchase we realized the items wouldn't fit. We simply picked out another item that would and were told we would be refunded the difference within 7 days. After over a week, my husband went into the store and they stated "we don't see it in the system", and they "reprocessed it" and again have to wait another 7 days. That went by, and we're being told that they are still waiting to hear back from accounting that the only method of contact is via email by the store. After seeing so many negative reviews and people in the same situation, I'm afraid we won't see our money back.

We purchased a beautiful, comfortable leather power recliner from R&F 6 years ago. We loved it! Supposed to last 20 years. This was top of the line. It totally stopped working at age 6 years. By this time it was out of warranty. So we called R&F 6 or more times and they never answered their customer service line. Then we went to two different R&F stores and spoke to each manager. We were trying to have a service technician to make a house call to advise us if R&F could replace the motor. We were flatly told that NO technician would visit because there was nothing that could be done. Basically, the chair was useless so just buy a new one! This was the chair that was supposed to last 20years! So we now have a chair stuck in the upright position which we cannot use. Their customer service department is NON-EXISTENT! We would never buy another piece of furniture from this store!

I wish to write this review because I rely on reviews when I am making a purchase. I shopped at the Clay store for a Flexsteel living room set. The price was much lower than competitors. The furniture arrived within a month (early) and although there was a mixup on the order, the company remade my furniture without any issues and again the 2nd delivery was received within 4 weeks as opposed to the 6-8 weeks that is estimated. I am very happy with the quality of my furniture and the service I received from Lori, my sales rep.

We had a warranty issue. Took weeks to get ahold of someone to get my chair replaced. Finally they approved the exchange. Got delivery date and time from them, then the day before the delivery that time changed to early morning instead of an afternoon delivery. Had to cancel and reschedule as I had a doctors appointment in the morning. New date set and new chair was delivered and the driver Louis took the old defective chair away. Thought we were all done. I was happy.
A few days later I get an automated call and text someone would be coming by to pick up the old defective chair. I called customer service many times and finally got someone who told me not to worry about it and that the driver would be canceled that everything was fine. Ok felt ok again. Days later I get a call from the delivery driver that we are the next stop and he is coming to pick up the old defective chair. He tells me there is no record of the old chair being returned, and if I don't return it I will be charged over $1,000 for the new chair.
Now I am upset. calls into customer service and none are being returned. We go into the Newington Store and speak to the manager Melissa. We explain to her what happened.. and then she asked if I had proof that the old chair was removed, so we showed her video from our security system and she got upset and asked if we had permission from the delivery guys to record them. WHAT? She asked us what we wanted and I said just something saying that showed the chair was picked up. So she had the girl at the service desk print out a receipt we owed $1,052.81 then wrote on it "picked up Friday" on it. She said here you go. I asked her if she was going to sign it as anyone could write "picked up Friday" on it and she refused. I asked for the District Managers information and she told me she was not allowed to give that out wished us a good night and walked away.
My husband went online and started shelling them on their Facebook Page. We were surprised to see the page was full of complaints of no customer service. He kept complaining and they kept deleting his posts. He kept on posting and posting until he got a DM from the Facebook Customer Service Team asking us for our email and phone number so someone would get ahold of us. Immediately sent it over hoping to get this behind us. And then radio silence for days... so my husband started hammering their Facebook page again. Then I got a message on my phone to schedule the pickup of the defective chair.... What the actual hell?
A few hours goes by and we get an email from Brittany from "Raymour Customer Care Service | CTSVC "860-730-6720 | RF **". The email apologizes and said they have been short staff and will reach out within the next hour. Two hours goes by and no call. So we email back letting her know it's been way past an hour, Brittany quickly replies back, apologies and said she will call soon.
A few hours goes by and she finally calls. I explain all the issues and she asks me what she can do to help. I tell her her to email over something saying the chair was picked up and we have a zero balance. She tells me me that she is not authorized to do that, so we ask to speak to someone who is authorized to do that and she says, "I will transfer you to Victoria," and then hangs up on the call. We have emailed Brittany about being disconnected and no reply at all. And no calls from Victoria. We should note all of this was done calmy, no shouting or yelling. We just want this be finished and know that we do not owe any money. Why is this so hard? For Bad Customer Service, Two Names Say It All!

Fact based review: 1. Ordered two sofas in store in Langhorne. 2. Was told the queen sofa was in stock and would be delivered prior to thanksgiving. 3. Placed order for close to $3,000 worth of furniture. 4. Delivery day arrived. Prior to delivery day, we had to arrange to have help bringing old sofas to first floor from basement, arrange loveseat pick up for donation. Arrange bulk trash pick up for our old 3 person sofa. Cleared out an entire room for delivery. Day of delivery came and went no communication from Raymour. Spent a total of about 3 hours calling, texting, Raymour and being put on hold not once but 5 times. Went in store to see what the delivery issue was.
Our sales person verbally lashed out at my husband and myself telling us we were being rude to her. I said actually we are asserting ourselves because we had a contract, paid the money for the furniture and it was never delivered and your response is well we called the warehouse but they are not getting back to us. Arrive in store, met with attitude and aggression by sales person. She said they called warehouse but they actually did not call to arrange new delivery date, they sent an email. Demanded refund. Worst store ever.

Their products are of the poorest quality and no longer what it use to be in 30 years ago. Bought a bedroom set which the post under the bed cracked. Handles off draws are breaking off (cheap material used for the most request used part of drawers). Was gifted a formal dinner room set which now chairs are cracking for the back support (barely used may twice to three times year when guest over). Avoid their products. Fact they offer a warranty should have been big red flag (furniture which should last a life time).

Avoid at all cost! They say their goal is customer satisfaction, but I've yet to have any satisfactory call made to them! First of all, the Cherry Hill, NJ location doesn't answer the phone, when you call the main number, you rarely get a person or a voicemail, they never call back. They messed up our delivery date and said they would refund us the delivery fee, gave a receipt and never actually credited the account. We had to dispute with our CC company. A pillow was missing. Got a message that it was being delivered the next day, that day come and it's not available. It's been 3 weeks and still no pillow. They keep blaming their new computer system. Stop with the excuses and provide better customer service.

We went into the store on 23 October looking to purchase a sofa bed. We also bought some lamps and an area rug. The salesman told us they would all be delivered together. Five days later we got a call to come and pick up the lamps. We told them that we were told it will be delivered together and they said no so we made another trip to the store and picked up the lamps. Subsequently the cell phone was delivered, but there was no rug. Again, we were told everything would be delivered together when we inquired about the rug then the runaround began. First they had no idea where it was. Then they kept saying, "It’s got to come from the manufacturer, but we don’t know when and we don’t know how to contact the manufacturer." Then they told us it’ll be delivered by FedEx, but we should expect an email from the manufacturer. So now three weeks into this the rug that apparently is being handwoven somewhere is still in limbo.
We call the other day and told them to cancel it. We called to follow up since we got no notification and the person that answered the phone seem very uncertain whether it was canceled or not saying they sent an email to the manufacturer who apparently does not have a phone number and couldn’t tell us anything, but they think it was canceled. The sales room was completely useless after the sale. Three emails went unanswered. So needless to say, we will never return to the store whatsoever. The follow up is pathetic and they can’t tell you where anything is that you ordered and paid for. So now we’re waiting to see if we get the refund. If not, we will file a formal complaint against them.

I had the service people come out to look at our sectional and my recliner that we purchased in the beginning of this year. The usb port had stopped working on the sectional. The arm of the recliner was sinking like it didn't have enough padding or the padding in it was of poor quality. The service person basically ignored my complaint about the recliner arm saying there was nothing he could do about it. The other arm on the recliner is fine and so are the ones on the sectional. This is unacceptable that the one arm looks terrible. The service person said he would order a replacement usb port. It has been months and I keep calling and they always have trouble finding my service order and then say someone will get back to me when they finally find it. I want my recliner and sectional both fixed!

We were happy with our Tatum loveseat and matching Tatum sofa when we first picked them out in the store. Unfortunately, not long after receiving them, both pieces started squeaking—especially along the arms—and the noise keeps getting worse. Every little movement makes a loud, annoying sound, which completely ruins what should be a comfortable experience.
We went back to the store to see what could be done, but the first person who approached us was rude the moment they realized we weren’t there to make a new purchase. Eventually, someone helped us submit a service claim. Two weeks later, a technician came out and said we’d hear about the next steps soon.
I received an email to schedule a repair appointment, rearranged my work schedule to be home that day—and no one showed up. No call, no text, no email. I called the store several times, left messages, and got no response. When I finally spoke to someone the next day, I was told the appointment had been cancelled because the tech reported “no issues” with the furniture, which was completely false. They sent the same technician, and he was here for less than five minutes, and I haven’t heard a word since. The squeaking is still awful, and honestly, it’s embarrassing when guests sit down and the couch makes noise. For what we paid, this level of quality and service is unacceptable.
The set looks nice and is mostly comfortable, but the constant noise and total lack of communication or care from this company have made this one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I had planned to buy more furniture here, including a high-end Purple mattress, but after this, I won’t be spending another penny with them. Save yourself the frustration—go somewhere that actually stands behind their products and treats customers with respect.

HORRIBLE experience with Raymour & Flanigan. ZERO stars. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. We ordered an electric reclining couch less than 5 months ago. We were sitting on the couch on a Sunday night when it literally started smoking underneath me and we smelled something burning. The controls stopped working and we couldn't put it back into the neutral position. We filed a claim. They scheduled a service person to come out to us without telling us! No one was home, and the guy said someone would reach out to schedule a new appointment. We heard nothing.
I went into the store to find out why no one had contacted us. There were two customer service people, one was helping someone and the second was on the phone on what was very clearly a personal call. After about 5 minutes she saw me and told the person she had to go and finally "helped me". Her tone was condescending the entire time. She advised me that they had scheduled us for an appointment the next morning without telling us yet again.
The service person who came couldn't have been any less friendly. I told him we would be looking for a manual recliner and he had the audacity to imply that I wouldn't be strong enough to operate it. He spent all of 1 minute looking at the couch, took a few pictures and left. We were told someone would be in touch with us regarding the status of our claim within 2 business days of the service person coming to our house. We heard nothing for several days. Four days later, we received a curt text message, with not a lot of context, requesting more pictures of the couch. We sent photos back and then they requested more photos.
We heard nothing from them, so we went back into the store to get an answer, because yet again, no one from Raymour would reach out to us. While there, Katherine told us that we would receive store credit or a like item. The manufacturer has stopped making the couch we got. Not to mention that a store credit doesn't account for the fact that everything is more expensive now than when we purchased. Raymour also doesn't even sell manually reclining couches in store anymore for whatever crazy reason.
We explained to Katherine that this wouldn't be a helpful resolution for us and was there anyone we could talk to. She gave us the number for the service department and said they would likely not do anything. The number she gave us did not actually route to any service department so there was no one to talk to about our claim. We went online to find the number for the corporate office, and we called. We finally spoke to someone who then connected us back to Katherine.
Every person we have spoken to has been rude and not helpful. They keep telling us that they don't do refunds, only store credit. Their customer service is extremely lacking. No one could provide any direction and told us someone would reach out to us. But no one ever did. Needless to say, we do not want store credit. The couch they sold us is a FIRE HAZARD, something they are not sympathetic to in any way. Again, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Never again will I be spending money at Raymour & Flanigan.

Even after a BBB complaint only a promise but no contact. Finally the store manager was able to get them to send a link for service. This furniture company has gone from ok to ridiculous, the desperation based on competition and other contributing factors is evident. I went in last Friday to buy bedroom furniture, and an end table, everything went ok. At least that's what I thought. Spent a few thousand dollars, based on what I was told to call 2 days before (by Tuesday) and it would be delivered 3-4 days later Friday or Saturday. I called today Tuesday, for Friday or Saturday delivery and was told that they would not be able to deliver until next week, all of this after making plans to take off work, take down the old furniture, paint, etc. all to accommodate the delivery.
Oh, I am not finished. The end table that was going to be delivered with my order is not available until December 5th, over a month away. Obviously, the salesperson only cared about making a sale at any cost and never checked to see that deliveries was booked solid for a week and she sold me a table knowing fully well that it was not available or not giving a damn or bother checking on the availability. I am writing this review, and I am so extremely annoyed over all of this. It's been 30 years since I bought my last bedroom set (from Seamans Store) so you understand I received five-star treatment from a one-of-a-kind store. I was looking forward to this being a pleasant experience, but it turned out to be anything but? To say I am disappointed and irritated is an understatement, very unprofessional. We purchased a new Beautyrest Level One Medium mattress from this company after trying it out in person at our local Raymour & Flanigan store. It felt great in the store, so we decided to invest a large amount of money into it. Upon delivery, the mattress immediately felt completely different than what we tried in the store. After sleeping on it for three weeks, both mine and my husband's backs were in a great amount of pain due to how firm this mattress is.
I called and spoke with a Raymour & Flanigan representative who advised that the mattresses in their physical stores are RARELY ever changed out, so it is highly likely that the mattress you try in the store will not be a proper representation of the mattress that is delivered to you. Further, the Raymour website descriptions of some of their Beautyrest mattress do not match the in-store labels. The mattress we purchased was classified as a "medium" on the in-store info card, but after further investigation, the same exact mattress is described as "firm" online. This leads me to believe that the mattress that I purchased is actually a true firm, and was advertised incorrectly in the store.
When attempting to request a return of the mattress due to the physician pain it is causing us, we were advised that the mattress we purchased was final sale despite my receipt not indicating this. We are now stuck with a mattress that is not only extremely uncomfortable (like sleeping on rocks), but it is also poor quality with tons of loose strings. I regret having the delivery people haul away our old worn-out mattress because that thing was more comfortable than this brand-new Beautyrest one. I would stay away from this company at all costs due to the lack of transparency, false advertising, and inconsistent quality.

READ THIS. I TYPED ALL THIS FOR YOU, I was told by Raymour & Flanigan there was no warranty from the manufacturer, and so I wasted $350.00 on a worthless protection plan and denied my claim. Only to search the manufacturer website Southern Motion and find out there is a warranty covering the whole thing. Was already included with purchase. So they lied. And it covers the things like seam separation, foam in cushions, and way more parts that are not even covered with the $350.00 protection plan. Heck the metal reclining parts are warranted for life. Without any added cost of the protection plan, some parts 5 yrs some 3 years like electric recliner motors.
Now, If you find the tag, you know the one on the bottom of the piece of junk you bought, it say's "do not remove" "all new materials". It should have a manufacturer name, look around for the other tag if it's not on first one. Okay, find it? Good. Now, search the manufacturer, and find their website. Now, find the warranty. And print it out. Then If you were denied a claim and told by Raymour there is no warranty, or the part it was not covered, but you actually were or should have been covered by the manufacturer warranty that could be bad news for Raymour!! But probably Good for you, They can't do that. n
Now, Contact the attorney general office of Pennsylvania. Or state you're in, and report it. File an Online complaint!! There is fair trade regulation, they are the enforcer to stand up for consumer protection against unfair trade practices, like deceptive, misleading, or dishonest sales claims etc. and if enough people file a complaint, they will be forced to refund a lot of people if it is found there is a pattern deceptive trade practices. Which judging by the complaints I read here and on BBB I know there may be. I give Permission to edit if necessary to post this review.

I recently purchased an adjustable bed frame from Raymour & Flanigan that I was told would be compatible with my existing bed. Unfortunately, upon attempting to use it, I discovered that the product was not compatible at all. This was not a minor oversight — it was a clear mismatch that should have been identified by the staff prior to the sale. What made the experience worse was the lack of accountability and support when I returned to address the issue.
Rather than working with me to find a resolution or make things right, the staff was dismissive and unaccommodating. There was no effort to understand the inconvenience caused or retain my business. I expected a higher level of professionalism and customer care from a company of this scale. Sadly, this experience has led me to take my business elsewhere, and I cannot recommend Raymour & Flanigan to others based on how this situation was handled.

Original Review: We purchased a very expensive, top of the line mattress here due to the promise of delivery in 4-5 days. Instead, after receiving no delivery ETA after multiple contacts to our salesperson, we called the store to learn our mattress would not be here for 20+ days. This mattress is apparently "special order" which the salesperson knew when he sold it to us but to close the sale, he promised it in 4-5 days. Unfortunately, this level of deception is not the way we choose to work and we will not be purchasing from Raymour and Flanigan again. We will also cancel the current order as the whole thing has left a sour taste. There are many places that sell furniture and these are HUGE purchases, honesty and integrity matter.

I bought this office chair from Raymour & Flanigan for $516.95, expecting a durable product that would last. The chair was delivered and assembled in June, but within a very short period, the bonded faux leather material began to deteriorate rapidly. The upholstery started to split at the seams and shred on the seat where it was regularly used.
When I contacted customer service about what I believed was a defective product, my complaint was dismissed. They claimed the damage was caused by my 55-pound dog, citing the presence of dog hair. This is completely illogical as the material was failing in areas of normal use, not from scratches. The quality of this chair is simply not what you'd expect for the price. I've since noticed the product is no longer listed on their website, which makes me suspect they've discontinued it due to similar complaints.

I went to one location of Raymour & Flanigan (AKA RF) looking for a recliner. The salesman was helpful & I found my chair very quickly. Then a woman from the office joined us, She insisted I look at more chairs, kept telling me what I wanted instead of believing I knew what I wanted, and she had so much cheap bordello perfume on it made me sick to my stomach. But she refused to leave the salesman and I alone. I walked out. Then I went to another RF location, this one was an outlet, or something like that. I found the exact same chair. It was only $10 less than their regular full priced store but I bought it.
I was told delivery would be on a certain day between 2 and 4 PM. But at 8 AM, the condo building into which I was moving, called me at my old place to tell me the delivery was at my new place. I was at work and could not walk out because RF didn't deliver when they said they would. Now I had to wait another week. The next delivery was made during the times I was told. But there was paint all over the chair and wooden handle, the seat felt caved in, the closing mechanism made a loud ker-plunk when I lowered it the chair was not comfortable. I went back to the store of purchase twice to see if the chair they had on display felt like the chair I had bought. It felt good.
I went to the store again to let them know I wasn't happy and that the chair seems to have been used and abused before being delivered to me. After much arguing, they finally agreed to send a technician out. Another week. The technician looked at the chair, saw the paint, refused to sit in it to verify the horrible seating and left. Another week or two, I don't remember, another chair was delivered to me, which was much better than the first, but not the best. These are LaZBoy recliners, not some no name manufacturer. One thing I noticed about both sets of delivery men is that instead of lowering the footrest using the handle, they forced it down by hand. Some recliners don't have a handle and to lower the footrest, you just push on it. But my recliner has a handle and the handle should be used when lowering the footrest.
Unfortunately for me, the delivery men for both chairs forced the footrest down without engaging the handle. It is my belief that this is the reason both of the chairs delivered to me do not close quietly or smoothly. They have been abused. But I'm done with RF and they would just give me a hard time anyway. At least the second chair does not have white paint all over it. Three times bitten has taught me to never buy from RF again. Too bad for them. I have an entire condo to furnish. RF's Sales Order Ticket Says, "NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES AFTER DELIVERY." Now tell me, how do you know RF has damaged your furniture if it has not been delivered yet? Don't buy from them unless the can answer that question for you.

Another regret, as I wanted to return this after the 1st night. I know Raymour has a return policy, and I feel that the mattress delivered to me, may have been a return and sent back out. Serious Warning About Abusive Business Practices and Unprofessional Customer Service at Raymour & Flanigan. I have been a loyal customer of Raymour & Flanigan for several years, trusting the company for my furniture needs. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing and frustrating, revealing serious issues with their business practices and customer service.
I placed three separate orders—fully paid in advance using my credit card—with the expectation of receiving my merchandise on time. However, without any prior warning or valid explanation, the company abruptly blocked the delivery of my purchases. They demanded extremely sensitive personal information, specifically my Social Security Number and date of birth, claiming it was necessary to “verify my identity.”
This request is not only invasive but also completely unjustified. At no point did I apply for credit or financing that would require such private details. All payments were made in full by credit card, which already involves thorough financial verification by the payment processors. Their demand for this information feels like an overreach and a violation of my consumer privacy rights.
What made the situation even worse was the lack of helpfulness from both the store employees and the customer service department. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue amicably and clarify the reasons behind these demands, their responses were vague, evasive, and unprofessional. As a longtime customer, I felt ignored and undervalued. This experience has severely damaged my trust in Raymour & Flanigan as a reputable business. Withholding merchandise arbitrarily and demanding unnecessary personal data constitutes abusive commercial conduct and violates consumer protection laws. Such practices place customers’ private information at risk and create undue stress and inconvenience.
I strongly advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution before making purchases from this company. Under these current conditions, I cannot recommend Raymour & Flanigan. I am now considering legal action and will be reporting these unfair practices to the appropriate consumer protection authorities. This situation is a sobering reminder that no matter how long you have been a loyal customer, businesses must respect your rights and handle transactions with transparency and professionalism.

The dimensions listed on the website for the chair I purchased were not remotely accurate, they matched the broken chair I was replacing, however when the new chair arrived it was obviously much smaller than what the website showed. The delivery driver said I should contact the store to request an exchange. I called the store and was essentially told that I couldn’t return or exchange the chair, after explaining that I had to purchase it online and the dimensions were wrong. The woman told me she’d “talk to the manager” but if I returned or exchanged the chair I’d be charged a 40% fee….I was gobsmacked.
First of all how am I expected to believe anything posted to the website would be accurate, and then be told I’m literally going to be charged almost half of what I paid for the chair. Adding insult to injury Raymour & Flanigan doesn’t post negative reviews from customers. I’ve literally submitted 4 reviews, obviously true and negative….Nothing I submitted was posted. We purchased their Palazzo sofa and in less than a week, there are feathers coming out of the cushions. Yes, this is definitely uncomfortable being poked by feathers. However, our main concern is the life of the sofa. If feathers are coming out in less than a week, how long will this sofa hold up? I have been getting the runaround from Customer Service and I was just told that there is “nothing they can do“. That “this is unfortunate but maybe if you fluff up the cushions periodically, it will help the situation”. I told him that this should not be happening with a new sofa at the price point of $1600; I asked if they would do any price adjustment because of this and I was told “Raymour and Flanigan does not offer any refunds of any kind.“
Needless to say, we are very unhappy and dissatisfied with our whole Raymour & Flanigan experience. By seeing a recent review that was just posted, we are not the only ones with this issue. One of the dining chairs completely broke last week – the leg snapped off during normal use. BUYER BEWARE!!! This was our first time at Raymour and Shenanigans and we decided to purchase 2 living room sets. They would both take some time to be delivered but we had no problem with that. Two months later at delivery, we were unhappy with one of the sets. The furniture did not fit the room as we had envisioned. I alerted the delivery person right away and they assured me that they would take it back at any time. I decided to sit on it for 24 hours to see if it would settle in and it most definitely didn't. Though I considered keeping it and just dealing with it, I ultimately realized I wasn't happy. After all who wants to go looking for another set?
I promptly reached out right to the store to express that I wasn't looking for a refund, but rather a different set. Dan the manager advised me that we could switch out for another set or if we wanted our money back we would have to pay a 40% restocking fee because it was special ordered. 1. We chose a color option that was available for the furniture, and nowhere were we informed or was it noted on our invoice that it was a special order. 2. When we selected a set to exchange, they refused to negotiate the price with us. Initially we received almost 30% off, but now they offered us nothing because we were ultimately screwed and would have to buy the set at full price or pay a restocking fee.
After much negotiation, lots of calls to Dan and a lot of wasted time, we asked them to show us where a 40% restocking fee was on our paperwork or anywhere on the website, (which by the way all of their terms are on the website and not on your purchase and sales agreement) what a joke. They ultimately couldn't show us which is complete fraud and so we agreed to pay what was on their website of a 15% restocking fee and they declined and said the best that they could do would be a 20% off restocking fee. In the end, we felt like we were in between a rock and a hard place and they had us. We decided to just be done with it all. We paid the 20% restocking fee but felt it was necessary to warn all future buyers about their terms at RAYMOUR AND SHENANIGANS!!!

The manager and I took it near the showroom sectional and the manager agreed that the cushions I had were inferior. He advised me to go to the customer service desk to ask for redress.
The service desk attendant wrote a report and said that the store could do nothing about it, but the service department would come out and check it out, then redress the situation. However, the service technician came today and said this is a 'comfort' issue and because there is no damage to the sectional I have he could do nothing. Further that only the store manager could redress the issue. So the manager and the customer service supervisor lied to me knowingly. Am going back today to confront the manager but have low hopes. Will likely wind up having to sue. Would love to find out if there are any class action lawsuits against this company that I could join, or start and others would join. I have had no follow-up after I spoke to someone about the delivery experience. I would completely avoid this company if this is the type of poor service they provide and damaged products.

Subject: URGENT: Warranty Issue and Poor Service on Discontinued Bedroom Set. I am writing with extreme dissatisfaction regarding the handling of my warranty claim for a 4-piece bedroom set I purchased just five years ago, covered under your Platinum Package Warranty, which expires on November 15, 2024. Over a year ago, one of the handles on my dresser broke, and upon contacting your customer service, I was informed that the set was discontinued, making repairs impossible. I was told my only option was to replace the entire dresser, which is completely unacceptable. A mismatched replacement would ruin the aesthetic consistency of my bedroom.
Despite expressing my concerns multiple times, I received no viable alternatives. In my last conversation, I was promised that I would speak with a service manager to address this issue. Instead, I was passed off to another service team member who offered no new solutions. This evasive treatment is unacceptable. At this point, I will only speak with the highest level of management within your company to ensure this issue is taken seriously.
During my last conversation, I proposed the idea of adding a matching chest if I had to accept a new dresser. Astonishingly, I was told that I would have to pay a 30% fee for this option. How can Raymour and Flanigan justify selling warranties on furniture that may be discontinued within the warranty period, leaving customers without real options? This is nothing short of predatory. I find it inconceivable that the owners of this company would accept such a mismatched outcome in their own homes.
At a bare minimum, I expect a full reimbursement for the dresser, allowing me to hire a qualified furniture technician to repair or replace the handles on both the dresser and chest. To add insult to injury, my father, a contractor, consulted a hardware specialist who confirmed that the handle, which appeared to be iron, was actually made from low-quality aluminum. It is an outrage that Raymour and Flanigan would charge a premium for items made of such inferior materials.
After this appalling experience, I will never purchase another product from Raymour and Flanigan. It’s disgraceful that your service technicians cannot handle basic repairs, and I am left questioning what the “warranty” actually covers if not something as simple as a handle replacement. This is a matter of respect for the significant amount I have invested in Raymour and Flanigan furniture, and I expect immediate action. I demand an urgent response from senior management only and a resolution that does not dismiss or sidestep my concerns.

The contract states only that scratches aren't covered; it says nothing about stains on a scratched item not being covered as well.

The worst store ever in all senses… zero focus on the client and many excuses from the store, seller and customer service. I could write a book to show how you should not threaten a client… Believe or not I spent more than 7K in cash with them and that’s the treatment that I got. 1st Problem: Delivery date: It was agreed to be delivered on Saturday, Aug 2nd. On Aug 1st I sent a message to the seller Rafael and he asked me to call the store or the customer service to confirm which I thought was strange but just after that I got a message confirming the delivery for Aug 6th. I tried to explain that I had to receive as scheduled originally as I had people coming to my house on Sunday and I had no sofa, dinner table, chairs, but there was no way…, Rafael, the seller, explained that they had an internal issue and someone made a mistake and forgot to confirm the delivery for the agreed date (which we did more than 1 week ago)….
Then part of the furniture related to a special order was broken and Rafael said that they would send a new one and collect the broken pieces, but after one week waiting, I called the customer service and the answer was the seller/store forgot to confirm the new order, so there was nothing coming and I should talk the seller again. With that, I decided to cancel this order and they said that they would come to get the furniture and then refund the amount. I had to call 2 more times until they decided to pick it up, which happened on Aug 22 only (yes I had to stay with 2 big boxes in the middle of my living room for 2 weeks and they just came when I said that I would throw it on the street).
Then started the reimbursement process nightmare that was supposed to be automatically in 7 to 10 days. Knowing all the background and how they act, I called on Aug 27th to confirm and I was told that I should wait 3 days more. I did and nothing happened, as expected, and I called them again today, Sep 4th and imagine what was the answer? The store forgot to confirm the refund in the system and they just did it now, so I need to wait 7 to 10 days….
This store is a joke. I will never buy anything with them again and I hope this helps all of you when you are deciding the store to buy your furniture. Nobody can say that many mistakes in different sectors in the same company are isolated or the result of my bad luck … Also no one ever called me to say sorry and ask if there is something that they could do to mitigate all these problems. Pay attention to that store and if you have the chance pick a different one.. I had a great experience in Macy's, Wayfair and others, even when something not expected happened but they knew how to satisfy the client.

I was sent to a warehouse to pick up the items as they do not allow pickup at the local store in Orange, CT. I went to the warehouse and a gentleman put the boxes in my car as they were heavy and I left. When I got home, I took the less heavy box into my house so I could open it and assemble it. That is when I saw the Prop65 Warning on the box. “Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals including wood dust which is known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to **.”
I did go to the website and it was alarming to know the toxic, cancer-causing chemicals in the furniture. So I called the store and told them I did not want the furniture as they have cancer-causing chemicals in them. I said that was never disclosed to me and it was only because I picked them up and had the box that I found out. The 2 individuals I spoke with at the store were of no help at all. The First Gentleman said not to pay attention to the warning and he was not friendly at all, kept speaking over me and had no interest in my concern. He said, "Once you take possession of the furniture, it’s yours and you cannot return it." After expressing my dissatisfaction, he then said he would get the manager.
A woman came to the phone and also had no empathy and she quoted their “policy” about no returns. I told her this was a terrible customer experience. She didn’t seem to care and just said she’ll send a note to the Sales manager but they rarely make an exception and even if they do they would require a 50% restocking fee!
First, I was NEVER told of their “policy” that you could not return items if dissatisfied and secondly, it was NEVER disclosed to me that the furniture they were selling to me have cancer-causing chemicals in them. These 2 end tables were to go in my finished basement where children play. What kind of company sells such products, then tells you it’s nothing to worry about, and then tells you they will not allow you to return them even given the health concerns? This is not a company that I want to buy from ever again. Sad how little they think of their customers and their legitimate concerns. I called Raymour and Flanigan. Asked them to repair the seam. They told me no I would have to pay cost of $125 one time fee and then they would come out and sew the seam. The Mechanic came out, made the repair, told me it would never come apart again. It wasn’t a very nice sew. Job looked very atrocious and if I can attach the picture Now Raymour and Flanigan tells me to have this repaired again after four months I need to re-pay them. The plan was to come back and do the other 3 bedrooms family room and kitchen. We put $1500 down and kept making payments 1000-2300 at a time.
We had explained to the salesperson that our home was being built so we would not be taking the furniture right away but would pay in full long before it was time for delivery. All of a sudden we received a phone call from the sales rep saying that someone was interested in purchasing one of the nightstands from our bedroom set and since that particular set was being discontinued we either had to come that day to pick it up or someone else was going to buy the furniture. What?! You have our money yet you would sell it to someone else because they can take it out of the store that same day.
Needless to say, we were not happy with that policy and requested a refund of all of our money for all of the furniture we were purchasing. I spoke to a manager and explained what happened and was basically told that is how they run their business. Even if I purchase something as a layaway item and I am faithfully making large payments I still run the risk of losing my furniture to someone else. There is no guarantee that your furniture will still be here when you make your final payment. This tells me that the sales reps are money-hungry vultures and they don’t care about the customers. It’s a cutthroat business where it’s every man for themselves. Shame on Raymour and Flanigan for their horrible policies and way that they allow their employees to operate. We will no longer be giving them our business. They just lost one long-time customer.

I searched for weeks to find a set of dresser drawers that could be delivered and would last more than a couple of years. I finally decided to spend almost twice as much on a piece from Raymour & Flanigan instead of Wayfair since the product reviews were much better. The service was great and delivery was quick and professional. Unfortunately, the piece arrived with scratches and one corner of a drawer completely ripped. Replacing the drawer will take 6-12 weeks. So disappointing and not worth the extra money!

The representative claimed they were on a recorded line. They began to reiterate I did not need to pay off the promotion since my automatic payments would cover all costs. I explained to them I would like to just pay it off, but the representative kept insinuating I did not need too.
To make a long story short, I was charged $1000.00 in interest for .02 cents they was not covered by my automatic withdrawal. I asked them for the recorded line and they could not provide it. I will NEVER buy anything from this company again. I wrote to their department and they treat you like garbage. They are unprofessional and dishonest. Seems silly but absolutely true… We got burned by not asking enough questions and not reading the literature fully before adding the warranty… Don't make the same mistake… In the showroom they will make it seem as if everything that could possibly go wrong will be covered…. They neglect to explain charges, pro ratings of furniture and many other additional fees that may apply… Read for yourself before paying for the warranty!!! You will at least be completely informed!

I purchased a sofa and on receiving it, the delivery crew refused to allow me to inspect it. I said I would have to decline it then. The lead delivery person became annoyed and said no, left erroneous info about time allowed to inspect the furniture that I questioned, and he just turned around and left. My contract says I have the right and obligation to inspect my delivery and the delivery team outright refused my request for that and then to refuse the declining the delivery of a result and left. They broke the contract in doing so. I called the store and spoke with manager Stacey ** about the feet on the unit and also told her what happened with the crew (hence why I didn't know the answer since I never had the chance to look at it while they were there) and regarding their declining my refusal of the sofa her response was. "That's too bad. I'm Sorry.”
Later I had some other issues with the sofa and e-mailed Stacey and had no answer. I tried three times to send her pictures she requested, and I don't know if she got it. No one from the store called me back or touched base for 3 days. It is now the end of the business week and after that first day Ms. ** never contacted me or followed up. Yesterday I went to the store and spoke with the salesman Matt and Manager on duty Zach and I was assured Stacey will get back to me and is "very good with customer service". Nothing so far. Although Matt and Zach did respectively listen, they have no authority and I don't see any concern for customer issues in terms of action after money is exchanged. I have been a long-term customer and sadly I see no reason to use them again unless we come to a resolution and can continue a relationship I've had with them for 20 years.

We always thought Raymour & Flanigan was quality furniture. It is cheap and their protection plan is a joke. We purchased furniture for our whole house, 2 bedroom sets, dining room table with drawers, a buffet, sectional couch, custom made bar, stools and mattresses, in October of 2020. Right away the dining room table got nicks in it. Contacted them right away and they replaced it no problem. It happened again, I thought they were replacing it. Nope they just "painted" the nicks. It just got worse. The "paint" wiped off right away and it just kept getting nicks and peeling all over. They told me it was accumulated damage and the protection plan didn't cover it.
The buffet got a spot on it, they came and painted the spot. A friend stopped over, checked the spot 3 days after it was "repaired" and it wiped right off. He use to work at a furniture store that repaired furniture like them so he knew what to look for. The coffee table is warped after one spill on it. One of the chair tables warped as well. We were told a new one would be in around December 2020, we called in October or November of 2020. In December it still hadn't come in, they said in May the factories were short staffed and things were on back order. Understandable for that time. May came and they said August. At this point we just wanted our money back. They wouldn't but they did offer to let us return the coffee table and chair tables to get something else.
One of the custom made bar stools broke when a friend barely set his foot on the foot rest. We still haven't heard back about that. We hired a lawyer who contacted them but they didn't respond to his letter. He tried to contact them again and nothing. We finally are just giving up and getting rid of all their furniture and replacing them one by one. They are not worth the money and their so called protection plan is crap. Be very cautious if you do buy from them. It's a rip off.

The retailer sent someone out and they used a metal stick to see how much it's caving. Mind you this is a memory foam ultra plush so without a little weight you cannot feel the cave-in. Because the cave-in is not more than a inch and a half they will not back their product. The retailer is Raymour and Flanigan and for 18 days they never got back to us on the claim. I purchased a mattress, a protection plan and the mattress pad that gave me a 15-day window to decide if I like my mattress and charged me $100 to deliver (which the salesman inadvertently left out those two parts). First mattress was awful. Went to purchase a second and there was not anything that I could find that was comfortable and or reasonably priced. (Initial purchase was approx $2000) I ended up purchasing a beauty rest black floor sample that I was guaranteed had barely been looked at and was in perfect condition. I was told it was a final sale and not warrantied.
Mind you this mattress was close to $6,000 original price so you would expect it would be a decent mattress. I added on over another $1.5k to my finance account to try to get a mattress I could sleep on. I've had the mattress for about five or six months and have barely slept on it as I had surgery and was not in my room for some time. The mattress slopes to one side to the effect that you roll over and down and almost off the bed. The tufting on the top of the bed on that side is also visibly broken apart. There's only myself that sleeps on this bed and I am not a large obese person. Regardless, a mattress should last more than a few months before it starts to break apart. Especially at this price point. I understand it was a final sale but it is a defective mattress.
This is not a matter of uncomfortable - I don't like it. It is defective. When you're buying a mattress that sells for $6,000 the mattress should last more than a few months and the company should stand behind it. The only assistance I was offered was for me to pay for a technician to come out to see if he could fix it and then I could pay to have it fixed or if you could do nothing I'm on my own. I see plenty of other awful reviews this company should be investigated as it is clearly taking advantage of consumers.
I have never bought furniture from here before and I will never buy it again and I will make sure to let everyone know about my awful experience. I have always shopped at Cardi's and they have always stood behind their products. To spend thousands of dollars just to be able to get a decent night's sleep and to be in a worse position than before I spent this money is unacceptable. This company does not care about its clientele. They just want to sell garbage and not stand behind their products or their promises. If you are thinking about purchasing anything from them - DO NOT!!!!

Tompkins Leather sofa/recliner/sectional. Poor quality and workmanship. Only buy this Tompkins furniture if you want it for looks only and do not plan on sitting on it. I bought the 5-piece Tompkins sectional in January 2023 and have had so many problems since the delivery date. The cushion had poor support, was sunken, and the leather seated area was deeply wrinkled. The corporate customer sent someone out to stuff the brand-new sectional recliner within days of receiving it. I complained and they sent me a replacement, but the replacement arrived with a broken motor. After complaining again, they sent me another replacement but the cushion in the seating was so soft that your hand sunk to the bottom, and it had permanent creases in the leather. I complained again and they replaced it with another one that also had permanent creases and poor cushion.
This furniture is not worth half the price I paid for it – the quality is poor!! Another problem was that the armless chair was delivered without a metal part to secure it to the wedge, and the delivery guys walked away without securing it. Also, the back of the recliner doesn’t line up and there are spaces between each chair no matter how close you place them. The armrest is 22 inches from the floor not 24 inches as they advertised. The stitching on the sofa seating don't line up. Don’t waste your money and save yourself the aggravation! Buy it only if you don’t care about quality. The five-star reviews on RF site are within days after purchase, so they do not speak for quality. They refuse to post my review which tells me the five-star reviews are not reliable because they post what they like.

Now I realize we had my son in law pick up both recliners to avoid delivery charges. We are seniors and on a fixed income. So saving that delivery charge was good.
Now R& F says we have to pay for a delivery charge. She told me to just my son in law return the defective one and pick up the new one. My son in law no longer has a truck! I argued that I did not want a defective recliner why should I be punished because they sold me a defective recliner? It didn’t matter what I said they never gave in. I spoke to a supervisor. I ordered a side table to go beside one of the two couches I bought last month. I had bought this same table earlier, but needed another since I previously had a sectional. I went to pick it up on the appointed date, having to leave work early to get there before 5:30. It takes me half an hour to drive there at that time of day. I got there and asked the young man to open the box to inspect the table before I took it. Turns out it was not the table I purchased. After waiting another 25 minutes for them to figure out what went wrong, they decided it was mis-tagged in the warehouse and told me I could come back out on Friday and get the correct one.
Now I didn't feel that I should have to take time off of work and drive another hour there and back because they made a mistake, so I asked them to deliver it. The manager told me I would have to pay $85. I didn't think that was fair. I was a good customer and it was their fault I wasn't leaving with the correct table today. But the manager didn't care at all. I told them to give me a refund and I left. I won't be shopping at Raymour and Flanigan in the future and if you are reading this you might want to take my experience into account before you go there too. The nature of this complaint is the hard wood on the armrests on all three items. Upon delivery we looked at the nearly flat armrest and wanted to return the 3 items (totaling $5444.85 Blake couches and recliner chair purchased in Staten Island). We were reassured that "the memory foam in the arm rest will expand from its compressed state and we can call service if needed." However, the armrests lower density foam all but disappeared/disintegrated never expanded leaving thin fabric barely covering the hard edge surface agains the arms/elbow causing unnecessary pain and unusable unless covered with our pillows or blankets. It has created pressure on the soft tissues of the forearm-elbow. Major flaw in workmanship, assembly and manufacturing. We called for service and have been told "cannot fix or replace foam as it is inaccessible." Later informed this is how manufacturer built.
In other words - sorry it is your problem now after less 7 months. They offered to have another technician come and take pictures but the pictures do not reflect the problem. Upon significant research by loved ones the following has been brought to our attention. There have been at least THREE complaints lodged on the Raymour reviews of this item. Donald C states on Sept 13, 2021 "UNHAPPY". The stuffing on the cushion on the arm has already spread (after 3 wks!) Arm is sitting directly on wooden support. David T on 7/82021. EARLY FAILURE. The padding under the arm rest flattened feel wood under my elbow. Robert F "Poorly Made and Horrible Service" on 4/18/2021 and Shannon V. FABRIC THIN. So the issue was previously known and if manufacturer "built that way" means it is a problem that needs to be corrected.
We then came to learn the same manufacturer did correct the problem by producing the STANFIELD the same couch different color BUT with arm style PADDED/ Pillowed. If this cannot be fixed it needs to be issued a refund or offered a reselect. Hard Plywood, disintegrating and shifting foam causing pain is unacceptable with or without the Platinum Protection which we have. Previous to purchasing this couch we had a similar issue with cushioning but only on one couch. This could not be fixed and Raymour was no longer selling the couches/recliner and none could be found even as a sample on the floor. At that time we went with a reselect. TOLD because of the issue with the recall? No longer selling item.
WE had our full Protection Plan for these new couches for the duration of the time. We have the plan and the timeframe. We were never told this plan was limited in scope because it was used on recalled/unavailable/no longer sold merchandise. Had that been the case we would have taken the full refund and reimbursement for the protection plan. Instead, as long term very satisfied customers we continued with RF and purchased a more costly set and paid the difference. Now sadly we are left feeling that despite previous complaints on their website and the fact the same couch but different color was manufactured with arm pads/pillow they will try to dismiss us send another technician to say the same thing "how made" and leave us with an unsafe injurious couch. So disappointed and upset. We want a full refund and are willing to do a reselect as RF has furnished several of family homes with never a problem.

The replacement mattress caused my back to go out, I missed a week of work and my curved spine issue has worsen. On 9/25/2022, I bought a complete bedding and mattress from Raymour & Flanigan. Looking now at my invoice, I was charged with a Platinum Protection Plan and a Matt with protector Dri, this is what it says on my invoice apart from the amounts listed, so the total amount was $2,455.08. Upon using the bed, I can feel that, on the area where I laid my back as if there was already a pattern that cradle my back, wondering why it could be that way when it was my first day of using it. Like someone was already using it and this person's back is cradled in this area if you know what I mean.
At the middle portion, when I tried to change my position moving to the middle portion, my back is not flat but it seemed slanted, meaning one portion is lower than the rest like someone has been using this bed. I gave it a try for a couple of weeks just to be fair to the mattress and also to Raymour & Flanigan that they will not sell a used mattress nor return to their inventory, used or returned mattresses. I made a decision to reach out to the salesperson, sending him pictures of the mattress that there is an indentation on the part, middle, and side. And this was not even a month after my purchase. I called to complain about this October 22, 2022, meaning less than a month after my purchase.
I went personally to the store in the Queens area, New York, where I bought them and was treated so badly by the Manager. He was angrier with me than I was angry with them, selling me a used mattress. Imagine, sleeping in that bed, thinking that someone has already been using it and with the covid thing, it is morbid. Although I was scheduled for another delivery, because I think they will exchange it, I need to see what they have for me again. Bad business if they return to their inventory returned items by the customer.

The delivered foldable base is a basic without the option adjust low and height. The current bedding was not removed because I was told that NJ law doesn't allow to take old bedding to their truck with the new stuffs. I don't blame the delivery man because they followed the procedure of the company. I would say that the salesman was not honest, mislead or was cheating while doing business. Updated on 10/07/2022: Again, they refused to refund any money to me and exchanged it with a third night table that also had a bad chemical odor. This is very upsetting due to I am a nurse and would never treat my patients in this manner.
Original Review: I purchased a night table and when it brought it home noticed a bad chemical smell coming from the wood. It was so bad even when I wrapped it in plastic. I called and tried to describe the smell and customer service said "chemical smell" so I knew I was not the first person to complain. I received an exchange table today and yes the same chemical smell and they left it at my home after I asked the delivery person to take it back. So now I am told I can only get store credit if I return it and they are nasty about it. They said they never give refunds and have fun trying!! Buyer beware.

THE SERVICE. My son bought this furniture. It was overpriced and then after the purchase, my son was told that there is a $150.00 "delivery and set up fee." The delivery was from 1.2 miles away and the delivery person was rude. The "Set-up" was to remove cling film. That's it. I told them where my son wanted it "Set-up" and they ignored me because it would have involved flipping the cushions. Every reputable furniture company I've ever dealt with at least removes the old furniture, no charge.
THE PRODUCT. The furniture is NOT quality. Although the fabric seems quality, there is a heavy coating of stain guard and it's abrasive to the touch. There is next to no padding under the fabric. It's literally a frame with 3/4 inch padding. You can feel the 3/4 inch composite board it is constructed of. The lack of padding makes it painful to sit for any length of time. This company is a complete rip-off.
RECOMMENDATION. Don't waste your money.

BUYER BEWARE: We have been a long term customer of Raymour and Flanigan and have always considered them to be a quality furniture company. We just purchased three items totaling over $3400 including a $404 coffee table. We purchased it over the phone with David at the location in King of Prussia. The confirmation email we received did not say anything about no returns; it did not say anything about once the item was delivered the sale was final. Nothing at all about any of that. In addition David nor the delivery people said anything about that.
When we saw the pieces together we realized that the table was too big for our space. We tried moving it around to see if we could make it fit but alas the table was too big. We contacted the store and talked to Steve, a manager, who told us that we should have seen their no return policy ON THEIR WEBSITE!!! He also said that when you make a purchase in the store it is on the invoice (news flash, we didn't make the purchase in the store. We saw the item in the store then called David to make the purchase). He did offer to "make an exception" for a 50% restocking fee (this item was delivered 2 days ago).
I don't know about you, but I am not accustomed to combing a reputable company's website looking for hidden information as important as this. I expect that any reputable company would make this information front and center and ENSURE that the customer has seen it and agrees to it. So for $404 I will never buy anything else from this company. My suggestion is that if you are considering Raymour and Flanigan, BUYER BEWARE.

Two weeks ago my wife and I visited Raymour and Flanigan. A store located in Bayplaza Bronx NY. Then, we picked and bedroom set and a mattress where I was getting a discount of $300 from the base that cost $700, so I only paid $400 for it and I was so happy with my purchase with a total of almost $7,000. Anyways, the mattresses alone cost me $2,300 regular price. Then I was told that if I found it cheaper somewhere else, they will match my price. That is a big lie. Three days later at the same store, I found the same mattress $300 less. When I return to the manager there “he said they didn’t explain to me clearly what happened” and he came up with an excuse. I was so disappointed and cheated. It was insane.
Plus in the morning when I was supposed to receive my merchandise, they called me telling me that the truck broke down. Another lie. They ran my credit and found I could apply for a credit card which I did and I ended canceling the entire purchase. I felt robbed. These people are very irresponsible and expensive. Please don’t waste your time like I did trying to buy anything there. They are horrible.

I purchased a few items for my mom. Everything seemed fine until we started to get severe allergies from the material on the sofa and matching chair. It appears the dry microfiber has a bit of a rough exterior which gives you an allergic reaction. My mom has been breaking out with some sort of form of dermatitis, I have severe allergies as well. We can't sit on the sofa as the rough material causes severe itching and a serious allergic reaction. We tried everything, we covered the sofa with blankets and it's kind of ridiculous to have new furniture covered up like some sort of old museum. I contacted the customer care at the showroom, they made an appointment so the technician could visit. I made the appointment for August 11th, he calls me the day before the appointment and asked me to send him a picture of the furniture, I send him the images and my mom's rash from the furniture. He never responded.
The next day he didn't show up, I called the office to find out his location and apparently he stated; he called to tell me he was canceling the visit. I spoke to him once when he asked me for the images. Never said anything about not coming. Needless to say I lost the whole day waiting for the technician. I called the main office once again and tried to find out what can I do with the furniture. They said they will call me and I'm still waiting. So far it has been five days and counting. I really thought they would take a medical reaction seriously, I was wrong. If you're going to purchase something from Raymour & Flanigan make sure you are not allergic to the material. It appears they are not going to rectify this situation, they are going to give me the runaround and play games with my time.

I called customer service to tell them about this and I told them that I was sold an inferior and defective product and wanted a table replacement, Since I did not have the extended warranty - only 1 year is given - that could not be done.
I told the representative that a table of that cost after only a year and a half should not have a the veneer coming off the table surface. I was told that a service man could come again at a cost of $125 if I wanted it redone - I said that wasn't acceptable since the job should have been done properly the first time and should be given a new table as a replacement for their defective product. Well, I'm a repeat customer who purchased my last sofa set from R&F, so I wish I could write a good review this time, but I can't. Recently we purchased another sofa and 2 matching chairs. We are not happy with them for various reason, discomfort, saggy cushions and large clicking noises when we get up. R&F sent a technician out who said that the noises were normal (what?), and that the saggy back cushions on the leather sofa will need to be adjusted regularly for the sagging. He suggested that a technician could come out periodically. FYI, the sagging started within a couple weeks of the purchase and even though the tech "fixed" the issue, it sagged again the next day.
I called R&F to tell them all of this and tell them that we are unhappy with the quality of the product and need to return it. We were first told that there's NO RETURN POLICY. Then we were told that we could return it but there would be a 25% RESTOCKING FEE, which in our case would be over $800. We called again after the tech came out and have been told that the service department would call me to discuss options and that we could return for a credit and purchase something else in the store. We're 4 calls in total and 1 tech visit, which didn't fix anything, and we're still waiting on a call from the service department and answers as to how R&F is going to stand by their product. I will update this review when/if this is resolved. We're very disappointed in R&F that their course of action seems to be avoidance.

I took out the most comfortable 4 seat reclining sofa which I purchased at Bob's for 1/3 of what I paid for my new sofa, had it for 8 years, had a problem one with one of the seats, their claims dept replaced it within 2 weeks after I sent them 2 photos & a description of the problem. Keep asking myself why didn’t I go back to Bob’s or Overstocked and or Wayfair. The savings would have been substantial with any of these stores & better customer service for sure...
Thought I was helping local stores by shopping in my area but R&F In Valley Stream, NY doesn’t care about you. They just want your hard earned money. Left a message last Tuesday. No callback yet. I’m going to the store today to cancel the chair. Hope I get at least the $1500 for the chair since it hasn’t been delivered. What a disappointment. We must have made 30 phone calls to customer service and store manager, customer service did not care at all about issue, store manager could not get any info from delivery dept at all. I had to drive 25 miles to Randolph to pick up the chairs myself, where I found out they were never on a truck at all. Go to any other store but R&F.

My wife and I went to the location on Jamaica ave. Prior to ordering our furniture we specifically explained that we were moving out of state and it was important that we got this right the 1st time. We were promise the world but once they get your business that's it!!!! My wife and I ordered over $20,000 worth of furniture. The floor staff is nice but either lack transparency or their system is broken. We were promised all our furniture as they told us they were all available. Once we paid our money and set our pickup date (we hired a moving company to pick up from their main hub) a week in advance of our out of state move, when they truck arrived for the items we were told 5 items are not available (after they had confirmed prior that everything was available), and no one informed us of this until we were there with the moving truck.
There was just a lot of finger pointer amongst themselves which was very frustrating because the moving company we hired would be leaving that evening to take our stuff to Atlanta. We were ensure that they would ship the remaining items to us within a week, which was not true (2 1/2 weeks later we are still getting excuses as to why we are yet to receive the furniture that we paid for). Last we heard they inadvertently inputted the wrong address (Again another lie because they had called us and read the address they had on file to be delivered to).
After our moving truck arrived (the moving truck we contracted), they were unloading the items and we then realized that our mattress was missing as well from the order that we paid for, again a failure to communicate and lack of transparency. All we kept getting were apologies for a very broken system. We ordered 2 bedroom sets, a dining room table, a 5 piece sectional, center table, breakfast table and a server. This order was placed on July 19th and as of today 8/13 we are still waiting on our items as we were told it might be another 2 weeks!!!! For an established company they lack transparency and they have a very broken system. We are so stressed out because of this and no one can ever provide answers when we call.

04/08/2021 made the bad decisions to purchase a sofa and chair from Raymour & Flanigan of Millbury, MA. As I write this it is 08/06/2021, I see no end in sight of the constant issues arising from that decision. On 05/11/2021 the sofa was delivered. During June and July the chair was delivered three times. First time the front left leg was damaged. The 2nd time the front left leg was still damaged plus a piece of the wood was missing. Finally, the third delivery was fine. Today I noticed the middle cushion of sofa is ripping near the stitching. I have to now wait until September 15th for someone to call me from the service department to set up an appointment to assess the issue!! I feel as though this is a never ending nightmare!

I purchased a reclining sofa and recliner in Nov 2020. After 8 months it is almost impossible to sit in the sofa due to the hardness of the seat and the pain I experience. I had knee surgery in Mar 2021 and even after 4 months it is physically painful to sit on the sofa because my legs are higher than my butt when the seat is reclined which puts pressure on the quad muscle in my leg and causes it to ache. I had purchased the 5 year product protection plan so a tech was sent out to examine the sofa.
After sitting on the sofa he said he thought the seat had been stuffed with two different grades of foam which is why it hurt to sit on it but I find that excuse ridiculous. No manufacturer would so such a thing and considering it wasn't like that when it was delivered I don't believe him. Due to the national foam shortage it will be 8-12 months before this can be fixed so I am now forced to buy another sofa from another store. If you are considering buying from this seller be aware that you may not be getting a quality piece of furniture.

I placed an order with the Raymour and Flanigan in Garden City. Upon receiving my order after months of waiting, the night stand and headboard came in damaged. I immediately called and told the service department about the damages. After going back and forth, I submitted photos. I was told they would put in a request to replace the nightstand and headboard.
After waiting a couple of months I was notified that a replacement nightstand would be delivered. When I questioned about the headboard I was told I had to call back that they did not handle that. I followed up only to be told that my headboard replacement had been canceled. The person I was speaking with could not tell me why or what happened. I had to call again to a different department to be told that the replacement was canceled due to the manufacturer no longer making the head board. I was completely shocked and caught off guard. I have dealt with them before and never had such bad customer service. Now they want me to exchange the headboard but nothing else matches the rest of the other furniture I purchased as a set. I am so upset and can not find another set to replace the existing one. And to add insult to injury they are still selling the headboard online. I don't know why they can't just exchange the headboard.
Now I have to go through this whole purchasing process all over again. And now after my son already picked it out now I have to explain why the whole set needs to be changed. Extremely dissatisfied with how the customer service department handle this issue. If I never called to follow up they were just going to cancel the replacement and never tell me anything. Not how I want to do business with a company.

I would not go back to this company again. I bought a sofa and love seat combo. It stated that the love seat was on backorder for 2 days after my purchase so I thought I was going to get the set together because my delivery was set for a week after the fact. The day of delivery I found out only my couch came and I had already at that point the day before sold my other couch and love seat to make the space for both these pieces. They brought the recliner sofa in 2 pieces and put it together in my living room. The guys did not clip it together properly and one recliner seat started separating from the couch. I called customer service and they were fixing that for me because now it is a broken latch.
Every week I keep getting an email stating that my sofa would come and when that day arrives it's pushed back another week. I am now going 3 weeks and I only bought this set for a party I was having for my baby daughter's 1st birthday and will have tons of guest now and I have 1 broken couch in my living room. I called the manager and asked if they can do something about this because I do not want just a couch in my living room, I have tons of guest coming with no seating. She said she can do nothing about it. This was the worst experience. Had I known that the set was not coming I would have asked for them to keep the set until it came to me as a set so at least I could have kept my couches until then.

Won’t deal with Raymour again! I brought a dining room set about 4 years and purchased the extra insurance that lasts up to 5 years. The leather began cracking around the 2 1/2 to 3 year mark. I finally called them for repair. The customer service was ok, the technician did what he was supposed to do when he repaired the chairs. But now the bottom part of the leather that he repaired (looks new) does not match the top part of the leather (looks old) so for that I am unhappy. FYI I purchased a living room set from Bob’s around the same time I purchased the dining set from Raymour. (Also purchased insurance) I Had the same problem and Bob’s offered a whole new living room set up to the cost of my old set. All in all, I will go with Bob’s for all my furniture needs as they just don’t repair to make furniture look mix match, but they replace.

We went to the store and were told we had to go through service. Now they want to come and paint them again. They said there’s nothing they can do about our oily heads on the leather!! Are you kidding me!! We have had leather furniture for over 30 years, and NEVER had this problem.

I had a great experience in-store with the salesperson, but I am so bothered by the fact that R&F markets and pushes "free next day delivery" on their mattresses when I bought my mattress 4 days ago and it has yet to arrive. At the store we were told it was going to arrive tomorrow, as we were finalizing the purchase, an employee told us it will actually be 2 days as the mattress is in another state, that wasn't a problem (when in reality, the salesperson should have double-checked this before pushing free next delivery on us incessantly).
Then 2 days passed, we got a phone call that it was going to be another day because the mattress got damaged during shipment. Another day passed, we got an email confirmation that it was going to be arriving that morning, 1.5 hours later we get a phone call that the mattress was going to be delayed ANOTHER day due to damage again. I feel bad for the salespeople and delivery people that work for this company that makes false promises. If the expectation was set from the beginning that the delivery would take 3-5 days, I would have no issue. Stop marketing that you have free next day delivery on mattresses when your company is clearly prone to delivery damages.

-Recent Utility bills in your name at the delivery address
-2 Recent Paystubs

While I had a great experience when making my purchase, that experience ends there. When I went to pick up my sofa at the store warehouse the sofa fell off the dolly as the employee (who was a sales person) pushed the dolly towards the exit. When he asked me to sign that I received the sofa in good condition, I questioned it. I stated that how do I know that it wasn’t damaged when he dropped it. He told me that if there was a problem to call them. When the plastic wrapping was removed the from the couch at home, we found a rip on the right side of the couch. I immediately called the store and was told that the process is a repairman will be sent out to access. That they can repair it, credit me some credit or send a new one.
However when the repairman arrived, I told him I would rather have a new one as the damage happened before I got it home. He kindly gave me a name and number to call. The lady, Maria, stated to me that how does she know that it was dropped at the warehouse. How condescending?! They have video cameras right where the sofa was stored and being brought out! I have a witness that was with me! She continued to say that the receipt stated there are no refunds or exchanges. She offered to send me a copy of the receipt. Again, condescending! She went further to inform me that she would decide if the repair is to be done to their liking.
You would think the that a company like Raymour & Flanigan would have a higher caliber and standard of customer service. I could’ve taken my business to another store and paid significantly less. I do not recommend you buy anything from them. At least not their non- outlet store. At the outlet branch you expect some scratches and defects. You don’t expect that from an item that you special ordered. And you don’t expect to be accused of lying that their employee dropped it and obviously the damage happened before you got it home. I’m completely disgusted. I will say the repairman felt terrible, looked embarrassed (as he’s a representative of the company), was very nice and apologetic.

Raymour and Flanigan, 3464 McKinley Pkwy, Buffalo, NY 14219. We purchased an Axium King bed from this location in Blasdell, NY near the McKinley Mall, and AFTER 6 WEEKS IT FINALLY ARRIVED. We were excited for its arrival! On arrival, the delivery people put it together without the slat supports, did not leave the instructions, it (i.e., blue tooth from our phone etc). This is where it gets ridiculous, after they left, we contacted the store and informed them that our “NEW” mattress started sinking, after approximately a week, they dispatched someone else out with the wrong information, on his arrival he informed us that they did not tell him the slats did not have support/s. After which he left!
Shortly afterwards as we were getting off the bed, it broke (picture attached) and we had to drop the mattress on the floor. We contacted the store and after a few more weeks, they sent out a loaner frame for us to put our mattress on, even with a Bunkie board the mattress continues to sink. We discussed with them the issue of replacing our mattress if the bed destroyed it, and they stated, not their problem! We slept with our mattress on the loaner frame, with a sinking mattress for more than 2 months.
After several months (6), multiple phone calls, talking to dispatch, and several Managers, our bed was scheduled to be replaced in full on 1/17/2021. On the day of its arrival, we were called and the Manager from the warehouse stated, “just to confirm you are expecting replacement slats?” I told him, “NO” we are expecting an “ENTIRE” bed and I explained to him what the situation was, again. During this back and forth with this Manager, someone my husband had spoken to before, I tagged my husband and said, “tag you’re it!”
After several phone calls to the store Manager and the warehouse Manager on delivery day we were informed that only the slats were on the delivery truck, although on the requisition/order it stated the entire bed was to be delivered! The store could not do anything about it, and we were re-directed to the warehouse Manager, who in turn informed us in no uncertain terms are we getting our delivery today 1/17/2021 and bumped our delivery to 1/18/2021, stating he could not bump anyone else.
On 1/18/2021 our new bed arrived, not only did they replace the entire bed, the delivery guys, Brian, and Alex were amazing, and they showed me how to connect via wi-fi to the headboard speaker and also made sure it worked. We were impressed extremely impressed by these two because not only were they fast, but professional and dedicated as well although we cannot say the same thing about the previous employees we had to deal with regarding our order and a resolution.
During all this time there were approximately 4 to 5 appointments that we had to clear and rearrange our schedule for! This we feel and suspect many clients or potential clients would not be impressed with! I recommend that before you order from these people, do your homework, take care, before you make a purchase. Oh, I forgot, they gave us a $100.00 gift card, let us see if it expires! We do not wish to purchase anything from these people that will bring it over the amount of the amount of the gift card!

Proceed with caution when purchasing merchandise at Raymour & Flanigan. The Protection Plan IS NOT INSURANCE. You are better off shopping next door at Bob's Discount Furniture and using their Goof Proof Plan that includes free delivery. We purchased a sofa that broke within the first year of light use. To our impression, we were lucky to have purchased the Platinum Protection Plan. Once the sofa broke, we immediately contacted R&F to make a claim. They asked us to text them photos of the broken sofa and told us that they would contact us in 48 hours. After being contacted by R&F, we were told that we must enter a showroom during a pandemic within 14 DAYS to select what we would like to use our credit for. We called the Marine Park showroom to begin the reselection process to get a replacement but the sofa was no longer available so we opted for a $550 credit in which we selected a dining room table.
DELIVERY DAY: After paying hundreds of dollars for the delivery again, the delivery men come to deliver the table and mention that they were also scheduled to pick up the sofa. We contact the store to verify this and the manager explains that the only options we have are to
1- allow them to take the broken sofa and drop off the table, or2- leave the broken sofa, receive a check for the difference paid for the table ($600), and lose the $550 credit for the protection plan of the sofa.
I ask that I get transferred to someone who can assist with this but she was adamant in not letting me speak with anyone else and reiterates that she is the manager of the store. At this point we are frustrated because at no point did anyone in this transaction mention that they were going to take the couch with them. If this was the case we would have avoided this whole issue and purchased another couch. When I asked the delivery men what they would do to the broken sofa, they said that it was going to be discarded anyways, and that they should've told us that they were going to pick up the sofa in advance. I am extremely disappointed by this and would like someone from the R&F team to contact me. Disappointed at the quality of their products, disappointed with the customer service we've received from the store, and disappointed at the lack of transparency with the "protection plan".
