I’ve bought from Sleepy’s in the past and recently got my third mattress from them. The representatives in the store suck and they weren’t looking to negotiate but when I brought my wife back, the price had went down over $500 from one weekend to the next. But when I ordered the mattress online from one of the telemarketers, it was a totally different experience and the transaction was great. The representative called me back, met my needs and did the right thing.

We had our new mattress delivered less than 2 years ago when this was still Sleepy's. Our salesman told us our mattress was covered under a Sleepy's warranty IN ADDITION to the manufacturer warranty. In less than 2 years time one half of the mattress sags nearly 1 1/2 inches while the other half is fine. When we initiated a claim, a company called Mattress Marshals sent us a kit which proved this. The mattress is on Sleepy's support system, and has no rips, tears, or stains that can be used to blame us.
However, we're now told the warranty doesn't apply because it meets the manufacturer guidelines for normal impressions. Total BS. This ignores what the salesman told us at purchase, and it is absurd to say in less than 2 years time 1 1/2 inches is "normal." My shoulder wakes up numb because of the elevation compared to where the sagging is. If a mattress can't even last 2 years before sagging so severely and the company considers this normal, there is NO reason to EVER buy another mattress from your company again. BEWARE before buying anything from Sleepy's or Mattress Firm - you can't trust their products or salespeople. Total scam and waste of money.

The Mattress Firm representative was a low-pressure sale and he asked some questions that steered us toward the right location to start because of all the different options. He left us alone to check out all the different mattresses and made himself available to answer questions. The showroom is awesome. The way it's laid out with all the different models available and is color-coded made it easy to pick a type of firmness and then try all the different ones. The regular mattresses that we were looking at were at high end when it comes to pricing. We ended up buying a floor model and the sales guy didn’t bother that he would have gotten less commission on that versus selling a brand new model if it's commission-based.
We had the mattress delivered and that’s when we had a little problem. We weren't sure when we’re gonna get a bed frame so the sales guy was kind enough to push the date out for delivery a couple of weeks. He told us to call him when we find out when our bed frame is getting delivered so that he'll readjust our delivery time. We did that and he readjusted the delivery on a Sunday. Then we got an automated recording in the morning saying that everything is gonna be delivered between a two-hour window later that day and nobody showed up. There was no update, no phone call, and no number for us to call because it was just an automated deal and the delivery time was after the stored closed. So there was no way.
We called on Monday and got a different sales guy who didn't seem remorseful at all. He made the phone calls then got back to us and said that there was a snafu. The delivery crew didn’t make it over to the store to pick up the floor model in time before the store closed. It would have been nice to have gotten some communication to confirm the delivery has gone quite as planned. So then they set it up and we ended getting the delivery on Tuesday, which was two days late. Then to the delivery guys, it was just another mattress on their route kind of thing, they really didn’t care. But they were polite and they put the little booties on when they delivered. It got resolved, which is good.

We had 10-year old Tempur-Pedic mattresses that needed to be replaced and Mattress Firm was in the area and covered this brand. We bought two Tempur-Pedic mattresses and they met our expectations. It was the first time we purchased from Mattress Firm and the sales rep was knowledgeable, professional, confident and polite. The delivery was handled quickly and professionally. The delivery team was on time and cleaned up after themselves. We’re happy with Mattress Firm and we'd do business with them again. It was a quick and easy experience and we got what we were looking for at a good price.

I purchased adjustable twin XL beds and mattresses at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The reason I went ahead with the purchase was because I was told repeatedly that I could get ALL of my money back if I was not satisfied. There was absolutely no risk. I signed the documents thrown in front of me, but was only given copies of the invoice and billing information. I was NOT given the Mattress Firm guarantee page. So I am still thinking I can return the base and mattresses after 4 Months, not 100 days, again, deceived.
After I texted my salesman that I wanted to return my purchase, I googled Mattress Firm reviews, and saw that I could not return the adjustable beds, that there is a $149 fee to return the mattresses, and I only had 100 days. So he called me back and I told him I had just found out the true return policy, not the one he led me to believe. We had words, and a few days later I realized I did not have the return policy, and had him email me my signed copy that was "conveniently" not given to me. I was totally deceived, and obviously many others have had the same experience. I do not like the mattress, and have no need for the adjustable beds.

I bought a box spring and a mattress through Mattress Firm. However, their representatives forgot to tell me that the window for delivery was at 2:00. And then there was a mix up on that set up so I didn't get the mattress when I needed it. Instead, it came a few days later but they took the delivery fee off. The product meets my expectations and I'm very satisfied. I would buy from them again.

I bought a mattress in a nearby Mattress Firm when I got a new apartment. My mom was also in town and wanted to get things done fast. What I got wasn’t the cheapest but the price range was good. The sales representative got a great deal and timing. The mattress was wonderful, I’m enjoying it and I don’t even need a mattress pad. It’s reliable and Mattress Firm was able to do everything they said they would. Everything’s good and I have no complaints.

We bought from Mattress Firm before. This time, we got two mattresses and platforms from them and the sales reps were good. However, the delivery team was disgusting. We ordered one of the mattress covers and the delivery people didn't have it. Then one guy said, "Here's the invoice. That's all they gave us and that's all you get." But when the mattress cover came in, they gave us a call, and I went and picked it up. It wasn’t a big deal going because the store isn't that far from my house. Overall, it was a good experience.

We moved into our new home in March. With EVERYTHING brand new, brand new home, brand new furniture, brand new EVERYTHING. My boyfriend, son and I kept waking up with bites all over and we didn't know what it was. I finally changed my sheets to white sheets (since they were previously red) and this morning alone I killed 5 bed bugs. So now we know the issue. Mattress Firm needs to fix this problem IMMEDIATELY because I am going to go to Business Bureau about this if it's not corrected. How disgusting! I'm extremely pissed that we purchased a brand new mattress for almost 2000 dollars and we received BED BUGS!

I purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress from the store that was located near our house. The Mattress Firm purchase experience was fine but everything took a while. There was a problem with the delivery, so it took about three weeks before we got the mattress. Once it came in, they didn’t have the right size box springs and then I had to return it since one of our family members had an allergic reaction to it, and that was a slow process too.

Mattress Firm is quick, friendly, and reasonable and they are the only one who would help finance me and that went fine. I bought three full-size, regular mattresses from the sales representative who was a sweetheart. He tried to help me out as best as he could and he did. The delivery team arrived before time and they were nice, sweet people. My boys love the mattresses.

We purchased a mattress (which we love, and it is the reason I gave them 2 stars) as well as a headboard, footboard, and rails. This was on April 4th. We expected delivery in two weeks. When the delivery guys showed up, they told us that our salesman had apparently ordered the wrong headboard and they couldn't make it work.
So, mistakes happen. They assured us at the store that they had corrected the error and that the new furniture would be delivered in two weeks. Fast forward to the agreed upon delivery day. No call from them, so we contacted them. They said they'd look into it and call us back. Over an hour goes by and nothing. I called and told them I wanted a district manager to call me. When he did, he explained how their furniture is ordered (there's a minimum) and he was horrified that they had dropped the ball. He assured me the order was being placed that day and that we should have it in (you guessed it!) two weeks. Called today about tomorrow's expected delivery and, guess what? Still no furniture! At this point we are beyond furious. They said it might come in on Wednesday. If not, I'm heading to the store for a refund and then across the street to Rooms To Go to purchase one there.

I bought a Simmons Beautyrest mattress less than a year ago from Mattress Firm. Within a few months, the mattress had a 21" perimeter that was firm and then the middle was like a canoe. You literally have to crawl up and out of the canoe to get up. They replaced it at the end of September and this one is the same. I am the only one in the bed and I weigh 145#. I have had a backache since I bought this bed! They sent a specialist out to measure the bed depressions. I told him to lay in the canoe, but he did not. Now I got a letter that says, "Your mattress is fine." I basically threw away $1000.00 and Mattress Firm found it! I pass a Mattress Firm on the way to work and it makes me nauseated, or it could be my constant backache. Do not buy this mattress, or buy from Mattress Firm.

I had purchased a new mattress and box spring from a company that was acquired by a competitor that was acquired by Mattress Firm. The first Mattress was inspected and replaced by Mattress One. When they inspected the mattress they found that the Mattress wall collapsed. We went to a store as directed and they provided us full credit and we bought a better mattress for an additional $800.00.
Now this Simmons Mattress is also broken and because we did not replace the box springs that we purchased with the original purchase they are declining the claim on the basis of not purchasing new box springs. I was required by Mattress One to put 5 slats across the bed even though when the Mattress was delivered and installed they only provided 3 slats and two supports.
Now to be declined on the claim for a damaged mattress based on box spring set is just a load of BULL!!!! PURCHASE YOUR MATTRESS FROM any furniture store and make sure you have a good warranty and an understand the scams these mattress companies use to "NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT." I have just come back from NY where I found MATTRESS FIRM purchase SLEEPY'S. I went with him and bought his mattress from a furniture store and that was before they even inspected the mattress. $1700.00 wasted because of a companies that do not stand behind their products.

The sales rep at Mattress Firm was very knowledgeable. The Mattress Firm salesman was very knowledgeable on the product, but he did not show us the complete mattress and the sample to really show us how the mattress works. We saw the twin, but then when we got the queenBeautyrest mattress, we experienced the same that they go down in the middle. So, we had to call again and change it for another mattress. They should have the sample of the mattress they’re selling on the floor. It was not so convenient that I had to send an email and I had to go to the store twice. Then, we had it delivered to our home and the delivery went okay and they were on time. Right now, we're satisfied with the product and it was a good experience overall.

We bought our previous mattress at Macy's. For some reason, the President of Macy's had sent me a letter giving me a 50% discount on whatever product I wanted. We happened to buy one of their most expensive Stearns and Foster mattresses that has already been reduced, and then they gave me 50% on top of that, so the price was really good. But it didn't turn out to be that great of an experience for the money we paid so we didn't wanna buy that brand.
Mattress Firm was close to us so we went there. The company had just changed their name to Mattress Firm a month before and I knew it was a larger company so we trusted the name. The sales rep was pleasant enough. We got a mattress and the mechanism to fold the back end of the mattress but it didn't work out for us. My wife had a hard time adjusting to it and they had indicated that we could exchange it. However, it cost me $80 more to exchange it but that was okay. The product has been good and it's very comfortable. As Mattress Firm goes, they're as good as anyone else.

We stopped by a Mattress Firm store about four years ago and purchased a mattress. The salesperson was very nice and knowledgeable. But within the first year, the mattress kind of collapsed and even when you were not lying on it, you could see that the sides were not straight up and down anymore. I left it be but it bothered me and in December, I called Mattress Firm to see what we could do about it.
The experience on the claim was hideous as it was hard to get a hold of somebody. We were then told that we were going to have to pay to have somebody come out and discover whether it was going to be warrantied or not. I was a little bit disappointed about that because if there was a warranty on the mattress, we didn't feel like we still had to pay. And then they told me in the next two weeks, somebody would be calling us but nobody ever did. In March, somebody called my cell phone and told me that somebody was supposed to come out to our home that day but had to cancel. However, nobody even called me to tell me that someone was coming in the first place. They also told me that somebody would be calling us to reschedule but they didn’t do that. Maybe I had an automatic message but not before that saying somebody would be there between certain times.
My husband happened to be at home that day, so it wasn’t a problem because we were expecting somebody to come out. We were anxious to make sure that we were able to get that claim in. When a guy came out, he was wonderful and very nice. Then about a week later, we got a letter that was dated from the week before and it said that we were eligible for the claim and we had 30 days to make the claim that we had the store credit for. It was already seven days at least into that 30 days. We have a very busy life, but we knew that we had a nice amount of time to take care of it.
I called the Mattress Firm store to see how all of it was going to work because we thought we were supposed to bring the mattress to the store, but we were told that we can't do that as it was the store’s policy. The rep told us that we were going to have to pay for delivery of the new mattress so that they could pick up the old mattress. That really upset us because we have a truck. When we bought the mattress in the beginning, we didn’t pay for delivery. We picked it up and brought it home ourselves, but now, we have to pay $40 or more to have somebody come out and look at the mattress then we have to pay another $60 or more to have somebody bring us the mattress that we didn’t need to have brought to us because we had our own means of transportation.

I stated that I wanted a King memory foam bed, but a split support because of narrow twisting stairs. I ended up with an order for 2 Twin-XL box-mattress sets and King frame for $1,240; and I still had to get the foam topper. A couple days later, I went down the street to the Mattress Warehouse and found exactly what I had asked for, a King foam mattress, split platform and frame for $6 to 7 hundred. OK, partly my fault for not shopping around, but the previous owner of the store had sold me a great mattress 3 years earlier, with protector, sheets and pillows. The new owners are way overpriced. For example: Bed-Barrier protectors: $50 (available at Walmart for $15-$30), cheap plastic frame: $70, cheap firm Twin XL mattress: $400 each (the same price as a Zeopedic Queen 10" Gel-Infused Memory Foam Mattress-In-A-Box @ Big Lots).
Now the nightmare. I cancelled the order, and was told the money would be back in my account in 1-3 days. I call back in a few days and discover the cancel order had not been processed. So the second clerk did indeed process the order, and again the money did not show up. I called 713-923-1090 and they confirmed the request had been received, but that it would take 7-10 business days, starting the next Monday when the accounting department gets around to doing cancellations. Meanwhile I am sleeping on the floor.
They also stated that they do not have a customer service department (no big surprise), nor could they call the accounting department to verify receipt of the cancellation request. Then I was told that the warranty department (the only ones answering the phone) would contact the District Manager, and I should hear back from them in 48 hours. I truly hope these people are driven out of business, because Walmart, Big Lots and many small companies around town have awesome prices, fantastic customer service, and better return/refund policies.

I went in and the manager there was really cool. He waited on and helped me. I explained to him that I only had a certain amount of money and he was so helpful.
He asked me what I had to spend and what I was looking for. He had me lay on beds and he was all-around really good. He actually took his time to help me and he even got me something better than what I expected. I wasn't expecting such an awesome bed for as little as I paid. He didn't rush me and I walked out of there very happy. It was a great experience. I was treated like someone who was coming in there with thousands of dollars to buy a bed.
I bought two beds, just the box spring and mattress, and then when they arrived I was even happier. The delivery guys were awesome. They brought the beds in, took the wrappers off and asked me where I wanted them. I wasn't sure yet so I said anywhere is fine and they didn't put them against the wall. I purchased a mattress in September, and 6 months later it has significant sink holes. You can see the dips in the bed just by standing a few feet away. So I call the warranty department who initially told me to go into a store to resolve the matter. Once in the store I was told they can't do anything and to go back to the warranty dept via phone. Finally I get someone to approve me for a warranty exchange. I go back to the store, and they no longer stock the Ortho-Posture (plush) mattress I had purchased. The closest thing they had in the price range was an additional $100 and was a firm mattress. Upon attempting to check out, the sales rep. at the store was rude and seemed like he wasn't happy I was doing a warranty exchange. I guess they only care when you purchase outright.
Regardless he tells me I can't do the exchange so I call the warranty department who then speaks to him and tells him I am able to purchase the mattress as an exchange and can pick up the new mattress and swap my old mattress at time of exchange (since the cost of the difference in price and delivery fee was about 80% of my original purchase price). After being told these instructions he refused to serve me and started to assist another couple who had entered the store. I called the warranty department and told them of the situation. They told me a district manager would contact me to complete my order within 24 hours.
It has now been a week and still no call. This is outrageous. I have to call the warranty department pretty much every day asking for an update and get fed the same information. There is no update and no one is able to help. I keep getting the runaround. Seems like Mattress Firm only cares for new customers, and not returning customers. I have purchased 4 mattresses in a 4 year span from them for the different rooms in our house, and no longer will be taking my business to them. Horrible experience which still lies unresolved.

I haven't needed a mattress in a long time at our home here in Birmingham. But we have a home in Colorado and there's a Mattress Firm there. We picked and bought a mattress and pillows here in Birmingham, but the pitch was about delivering and then warrantying it in Colorado. Their sales rep was excellent, very nice and knowledgeable. He didn't really care that it had to go to Colorado and he was just wonderful. Although I wasn't there when it was delivered to our home in Vale, Colorado, my daughter was to put everything and they did fine. We slept in it for about a week and it feels good. It met my expectations. I like how easy it was to get it in another store. I recommended them yesterday to someone.

We needed a new mattress. The old one gets us to disappear in the middle. And when we went back to the same building where we bought our last mattress, they changed names and it was Mattress Firm. We had a couple of reps before we ended up buying. They are real nice people and listened to our needs very well. We got the queen size mattress and box spring, Beautyrest. It's softer and meets our expectations. We're very satisfied.

I had two extremes with Mattress Firm, the worst and the best experiences. I purchased the mattress and adjustable base. The sales rep was great and he was wonderful. That store in Revere, Massachusetts didn't have everything I needed so he contacted another store to see if they had it. He placed me in contact with Howard from Somerville, Massachusetts. Howard, too, was awesome. He got everything together, made the purchase happen and went above and beyond.
With the delivery team, they just wanted to get out. I understand that they're in a hurry but it was raining outside so they came in. The mattress was like exposed to the water because it wasn't totally wrapped. The wrapper was a bit torn. They did not even wipe their feet. They wet the floor and the carpet, the whole house. They brought in the actual bed and base but they didn't bring legs to it and they didn't take any responsibility for it at all. They didn't connect the frame and couldn't get it to work. So I said that I'll do it because I saw myself being more capable than them. The only thing they offered me was to not accept the purchase and take it back. That didn't make sense. I just wanted them to get the feet delivered and I'd take care of it. They were terrible. I had to do all the labor myself. No pun intended for the feet.
After that, I called Howard and he took care of it himself. He ordered the feet and set up a delivery for it. I took off work so they can come in and deliver it. I didn't even want a company to install it, I just need it delivered. And then they gave me a call while waiting for them on my day off. I told them I still don't have the products delivered. I called Howard again and told him about the delivery issue. Four days later, the exact same situation happened again. It's three tries with the delivery guys, each time saying the delivery date, I would take off work to accept the delivery. Then at the end of the day, they would say they don't have the products. So, Howard himself had the products delivered. He picked them up and took them to the Revere Mattress Firm. I actually had to go pick it up myself and that's really bad.

I went to another mattress store and what made me leave was the fact that when I was there, the manager was getting a call from a customer who had been waiting several hours for the mattress. The manager was very rude to the person and I worried it might happen to me if I buy from them and I'd have to deal with the rudeness. The guy who sold me the mattress from Mattress Firm was a little inappropriate at times when he made some jokes but overall it was good. Besides that, he was very nice and I like the fact that it was very efficient.
Also, I thought it was easy because at the time, I didn’t have all the money all at once and it was easy to get approved. Then, they arrive to remove the old mattress and put the new one exactly when they said they would. So I like that because I've read reviews from other companies that sometimes delivery can be a hassle and I was concerned, but it was very efficient. They were pretty much on time and they gave me a phone call before they arrived which allowed me to prepare. The only thing is the bed gets a little hot but that’s about it. The whole experience was good and very efficient.

My husband works as a business consultant and one of his clients is Mattress Firm so somebody there ordered the mattresses for us. I also went to the local Mattress Firm here before the mattresses were ordered and the sales representatives were very nice. When I wanted to see and try the mattresses, they pulled them out and showed me everything.
We were doing a bunk room at our lake house so we purchased full mattresses that had the pillow top, two Box Springs, and four more mattresses. We were able to try out the new mattresses last weekend and they were great. The delivery guys were very sweet and nice too. They were there when they said they were going to be and they put the mattresses exactly where I said. We had an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Mattress Firm. Their price is good and the service is great. I'll definitely use them again.

I am very frustrated with Mattress Firm. I paid over $3000 for merchandise that is useless to me. I have never experienced any trouble with a mattress store in the past. It shouldn't be this difficult to buy a comfortable, medium mattress. I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Resonance in January. The mattress delivered to me was softer than the one in the store. My hips dug into the bed and my spine didn't lie straight, aggravating my neuro-muscular issues. In addition, the bed was too high (I'm just under 5'1"). I didn't know at the time of purchase that a lower box spring was an option.
I was told to go back to the original store because it sounded like my issues were more than a comfort exchange. I was hoping to finalize the exchange the day I went back to the store. I was in the store for an hour before closing, but the sales rep was with another customer so he could only spend a short time with me and I wasn't able to finalize my exchange. He did advise me against the Bridgewater, a more firm version of the same mattress, and encouraged the Tempur-pedic beds. Other than not being told about a low box, my experience at that store was okay overall.
That store is an hour away from me. I don't own a car, I was about to travel then start a new job and would have limited availability to shop so I went to a local Mattress Firm where the store manager told me she could help with the exchange. However, what I thought would be a no-charge exchange cost me $150. She advised me to change the mattress and the base at the same time or I'd have a $300 charge. The local store did not have the Tempur-pedic mattress that I liked in the other store. I went back numerous times to the local store to be certain I was buying the right mattress out of the ones they recommended. This included one wasted trip because the store was closed for what I found out later was a meeting (there was no indication on the website, phone message, or store front that the store would be closed for about 45 minutes during regular business hours).
I didn't like the Tempur-pedics the local store manager showed me and every time I was there she discouraged me from buying one. She encouraged the Bridgewater, telling me I would lie differently and correctly on that bed. I was worried the $1550 Bridgewater would be too firm and saw a softer $800 mattress that I liked. She told me the Bridgewater mattress would offer more support and told me if needed I could buy a memory foam pad that would make it less firm. Shealso encouraged an adjustable base. I was worried that the adjustable base with the mattress and memory foam would again be too high. She assured me that the adjustable base would go as low as the shorter box and that the adjustable base, mattress, and 2 inches of foam would be lower than the Resonance.
Before purchasing the more expensive Bridgewater over the $800 mattress, I asked very clearly for details about the exchange policy and she told me that the base was not returnable but assured me that I could exchange the mattress. The Bridgewater did not improve the spinal alignment problems like I was told. It aggravated my neuro-muscular spasms, even with the memory foam. With the base, mattress, and foam the bed was higher than the Resonance and it was difficult using a stool to get in and out of the bed. I stopped using the $1000 adjustable base at this point because, although my hips sagged, my shoulders dug into the mattress. Using the base as intended with this mattress aggravated my condition. I haven't been able to use it since.
I was very eager to go back to the store expecting to exchange the Bridgewater for the $800 mattress. I was at the store close to an hour working with a kind sales rep, trying out mattresses - the $800 mattress, a Tempur-pedic that wasn't suggested to me before, and a $1000 mattress that wasn't suggested to me before. While trying a mattress, the manager came over to me and told me I couldn't buy any of those mattresses - she said I couldn't buy a Tempur-pedic and I had to spend at least $1550. She told me to go home and come back to buy one of the new memory foam mattresses that would be delivered in the upcoming weeks. It was very frustrating when I was told I couldn't buy the Tempur-pedic or the $800 mattress I previously asked about. I picked that day to go to the store because it was just after being treated by a physical therapist and doctor and now I would have to stick with this too firm mattress for weeks longer.
Out of frustration and increasing spasm, I called and very nicely reminded her that I was looking at the $800 mattress when she encouraged the Bridgewater. She finally agreed that I could get the cheaper mattress, but I had to wait weeks to go back. The manager was not in the store when I returned to try out the mattresses, again expecting that I could buy the $800 one. I looked at the new mattress that she recommended. It was classified as soft and I was worried that I'd be going back to the opposite extreme. Unfortunately, there were no non-firm mattresses for me to chose from above $1550 other than the Tempur-pedic that I wouldn't need a stool.
When I called the manager she told me the Tempur-pedic was not available and went back on her word again telling me I couldn't buy a mattress cheaper than $1550. After another $150 exchange fee, I bought a Sealy, the only option over $1550 that I wouldn't need a stool. It's not good for my spine, but too soft is better than too firm, and I couldn't handle sleeping on my sofa or that mattress any longer. It's supposed to have cooling features but, like the $150 pillow I bought from the same store, I wake up sweating.
I tried to speak with Mattress Firm representative, who I believe was in the corporate NY office, before receiving the Sealy. She didn't respond so I had to keep calling and couldn't get through to her until after the Sealy was delivered. The only option she gave me was to exchange one more time for at least $1550 and a $70 exchange fee. I asked her which mattresses were medium (not soft or firm) under 13 inches in height and she couldn't tell me. She told me to go back to the store. I was already there numerous times and there were no other mattresses fitting that category. I have no interest in giving any more money to this store for a mattress that isn't medium and not an overly large height.
When I told my doctor where I bought my mattress he knew they're deceitful before I even told him my issues and advised me to shop elsewhere. A mattress purchase shouldn't be this difficult and shouldn't be so expensive, especially for something that's not right for my health. I suspect that I'll lose this money to Mattress Firm and buy a cheaper, better mattress somewhere else.
UPDATE 5/23Since my original posting in May 2017, a Mattress Firm representative did contact me and allowed a further mattress exchange. Unfortunately I still was unable to successfully resolve my health issues, which have actually gotten worse with the mattress.
The mattress exchange still had to be equal or greater value to the prior exchange, which still severely limited my options in finding a medium-firm mattress - I had to look at foam mattresses for that price range. Additionally, I could not look at mattresses above 14 inches in height due to the height of the adjustable base. I wound up with a BeautyRest Alcove mattress (which included 3 inches of memory form on top). The mattress is plush, not medium-firm. My neuromuscular condition severely worsened, and my back sinks into the bed despite my trying all kinds of toppers to improve it. Each night the pain from sleeping in this bed gets worse. My doctor and I agree that I should not use a memory foam bed. The only alternative Mattress Firm gave me was to give them $500 more so that I could have the $800 mattress that I wanted upon the original exchange for which I should not have had to pay fees. I already gave this company more money that I should have, and I did not want to give them any more, worrying that here would be further problems with Mattress Firm. After more than 6 months of using the Alcove mattress I have decided to donate this bed and lose the money I paid.
I bought the adjustable base since I had to pay an exchange fee if I wanted the low-profile box (I later found out that I should not have had to pay that fee). I was told that the adjustable base was 6 inches from the ground and would be equivalent to a low-profile box. In reality, it is not equivalent to a low-box - the legs are 6 inches and the top of the base is actually 12 inches from the ground. It wasn't until a friend found 3 inch legs for this base that I could get into bed without using a stool. Unfortunately I still can't adjust the $999 base because raising my heads further aggravates by neuromuscular condition.Other mattress stores charge less and are much easier to work with. I will not shop at Mattress Firm again.

My dad is 72 years old and bought his first brand new bed for the first time ever. After only having his new bed for seven months his back started to hurt. We inspected the bed and found the pillow top had started to separate and was bunching up under him. I wasn't too worried at first because I thought surely this would be covered under warranty. Surely after only seven months the company would agree this was a issue they would correct. After a nightmare of dealing with the Warranty Department we finally received a decision. They claimed the separated mattress top was caused by normal wear and tear. My poor daddy is having to see a chiropractor for his back pain caused from sleeping on his defective mattress until we can afford something different. Very disappointed in Mattress Firm. Dealing with Mattress Firm was not good in the beginning because of their warranty policy and how they measured to decide all that stuff. I disagreed from the beginning because my quality of sleep was being interrupted to where it was affecting my health and my personal life. I had an appeal process and I went over the phone with the representative. He had me do the measurements and I sent pictures back. They agreed in what I was trying to tell them the first time and they satisfied my request for the warranty situation. Eventually, I was able to get a newer and better mattress pretty much to my satisfaction and it turned out okay. They're a very good business with good intentions but they need to take a good look at their warranties and what they offer to the buying public at the beginning which they don’t stand by later. Other than that, they’re worth a try and compared to other stores available, they're above average.

There are plenty of Mattress Firm stores to choose from." Originally, I was going to buy off of Amazon but I decided it would be best to be able to actually go in and test out the mattress. So, I purchased from Mattress Firm a queen-size mattress, a box spring and a frame.
I had the best experience ever with Mattress Firm. The sales associate was so helpful. I told her my whole situation and that I was purchasing the mattress for my dad. She was just the best. She not only explained all of the different comfort levels and the description of each mattress, but she also discussed the price. I definitely spent a little more money than I went in to spend, but it wasn't because she was pressuring me. She wasn't trying to nickel-and-dime me. It was because she was so good at explaining what I was buying essentially. My father loves the Mattress Firm product that was delivered. It's firm and very comfortable. I went in to purchase the bed, which had a higher price tag on it. My daughter had taken a picture of it, so we got it for the lower price. While I was there I purchased and took the bed frame with me. Delivery was set up for the following week. The delivery guys called her and said they were already at her house. She was told they wouldn't be there for another hour. So, they brought the bed in, brought it to her room and left it in the bags up against the wall. The frame, that I purchased was never brought up. Then they left.
She called me and asked if they were supposed to set up. I said yes, they have a "red carpet" delivery promise. I called the store manager and he said he would call dispatch and have them come back to set it up. I waited about 15 minutes and called him back. He told me the same thing. I gave him my daughter's phone number so he could call her directly and let her know when they'd be coming back. This was the first week of April. It is now the first week of May, and we're still waiting for the call and for the guys to come back to set up. I've emailed Mattress Firm twice, still waiting for a response. I've called twice and all they want to do is refer me to the store that I made the purchase. I've never had any problems with Sleepy's. We bought some linens and pillows from Mattress Firm but it was primarily the mattress that brought us there. We live in Manchester but we were in Nashua, New Hampshire where we went in and tried some mattresses. The guy there was very helpful in helping us pick which one we wanted. However, we were not happy with the mattress after we brought it home and we slept on it for about two weeks. We called and went back to the Manchester store. We tried some more mattresses and picked another one that we'd like and they made that swap.
When the mattress arrived, it smelled like tobacco smoke. We told Mattress Firm about it and without any question or complaint, even though this was the second one that we were returning, they said, "We'll just give you another one, never unwrapped." They brought us a third mattress with the same style but was never unwrapped. The guys who came to pick it up agreed with us that there was a terrible tobacco odor. I called the store and told them about it and they said they were going to look into it. We had a couple of false starts and in both cases, the store people were great, made things whole, and we ended up with a mattress that we're very happy with. I am impressed with the customer interaction that their store people had with us. It was trouble-free and the whole thing only took a few days. Also, the price and service was good. I am waking up a with terrible back pain every day and when I contact the manager at the store they will not process a return for 30 days even though the Mattress Firm website only encourages 30 days use. There is no way that I am changing my mind on this mattress, it is so uncomfortable. In this day and age I find it unbelievable that a mattress company can still offer this type of customer service. I bought this Hampton Rhodes Mattress & box springs from Mattress Firm 11 months ago. Now when I get on the bed it sinks in, probably at least 3 inches. Yes it creaks & groans, it always has. But sinking way down into the mattress and the problems with getting my warranty enforced are the things that bother me the most. They didn't tell me when I bought it that I would have to pay $39.95 to have someone come to my house and inspect it or pay $24.95 and do it myself. I am 65 years old and have major medical issues. I can't do it even if I paid it. You would have to lift the mattress, separate the layers and take photos to their satisfaction. What would prevent them from accusing you of destroying your own mattress if you did separate the layers?

I liked that Mattress Firm was just close by. I went in to look and ended up buying. However, the rep didn’t bother to tell me they were going to have a sale the next week and I could’ve saved that money. I could’ve waited one more week. They had a 70% off and I paid the full percent. That would have been quite a bit. It’s aggravating. They should let their consumers know before they buy something if there is a sale because that’s really not very nice. The sign kept saying sale, sale, sale but I couldn’t see. At that time, the sale was only $500. And I asked a couple of times what’s the $500 off, but I never did get an answer.

The last time I bought a mattress was when I was sleep-training 15 years ago. I saw that Mattress Firm had a sale going on so we decided to go there in West Sacramento. Unfortunately, they didn't sell the Beautyrest Legend series to us at the sale price rate. I said, "Maybe it's not with that mattress." So I checked it out on the internet and found that indeed it was on sale. I called them back and they decided to get $750 refunded back to me.
We knew what type we wanted and the previous one we owned was Beautyrest so we were okay with that. The rep took us to a couple of different models then she took us to the one we liked the most. But she said, “That one wasn’t on sale.” I had a feeling it was but they didn’t know. So we bought a different one but we went back there a couple of days ago because it was too firm. The cost was different from what it was before and so it was going to cost me more out of pocket to change it out than I wanted to spend at the moment. Plus, they’re telling me that I may not still have the $750 discount if I went to the next softer version of the same bed. So their 120-day exchange didn’t mean a lot to me then.
The delivery experience went quite well. The guys came out here, took the old mattress out, brought the new one in and helped set it up. They were very helpful. I even gave them a tip because they did a good job. We had smaller boards put at the bottom instead of a box spring because of the type of frame we have. They looked at it and they said, “You may have wanted to go to the shorter ones.” I tried to do that but that too was going to cost me more so I decided not to.
All in all the mattress is okay. I shopped a little bit more because I have the ability to use the military exchange system to buy from them. It was sad I didn’t have the whole idea of looking around. But, I checked the overall prices of my mattress' model and most of them were not that much different from what I purchased with them. Also, the reps were just very confused. They had only been with Mattress Firm for about three days when we came there. They were trying to learn the new purchasing system and not everything was listed properly. But all in all, they did a good job.

The experience started out great. The salesman in the store was very helpful and friendly, and even had a bucket of toys to keep my 3-year old occupied while my wife and I were shopping. Once we decided, we did all the paperwork and arranged for delivery of the new mattress and removal of the old one. The delivery guys showed up promptly and hauled the new mattress up the stairs to our room. That's when it went south. The first delivery guy looked at our old mattress and said "uh-oh." He couldn't take it because it had some stains on it. That was the first I had heard of this policy; the salesman hadn't mentioned it at all even though in our small talk I had mentioned that it was old and saggy and brown. The guys tried to be helpful; they carried the old mattress back downstairs and called their manager at the warehouse just to make sure, but nope, they couldn't take it.
I get it: I wouldn't want someone else's nasty, bug-ridden mattress sitting in the truck next to my fresh new one. But the fact remains that the salesman said they would take my old one, and it's still sitting on my floor. That counts as a lie in my book. Now I have to pay someone else to come and dispose of it. Next time I go mattress-shopping, it will be with someone who can do what it takes to finish the job.

I was staging a guest house to sell my house. We live in a small town and someone suggested that Matress Firm was a good alternative to having to drive to San Antonio or somewhere. I went to their store and I told the rep what I needed. They had good prices and he told me the best mattress in my price range without trying to upsell me to something that I wasn't going use so I felt comfortable and I bought a memory foam mattress. He had me out of there within 10 minutes. That's exactly what I needed. The delivery guys were very sweet, nice and personable. They didn't hurt anything and got everything in safely. Then, they took my old one out. My entire experience was without stress and that's what I needed.

I was having problems with my back and I kept seeing the commercial that those mattresses at Mattress Firm were really good. I was going to spend money on another mattress but I thought of spending money on a good mattress. I went to the one on Independence first and the man was really nice. He let me try all the mattresses and pillows they had. Then I noticed that once I lied on one of them, the pain was gone. However, my husband thought it was so much money. But I have to keep working and I need something that is going to help my back.
So we went back to another store closer to our house which is the one on Albemarle Road. The people over there were not as good and nice as the one on Independence but we already knew what mattress we wanted so we just went over there to fill up the application. We got qualified for the credit and we bought the mattress. It’s really good. I have back pains for a lot of years and that mattress has helped me so much. I love it. I’m getting ready to buy a house and to see if I can open up my credit and get a little bit bigger because I’m going to get six twin mattresses for all my kids. I’m not spending money on any other mattress. I’m going to spend it on something that is worth it. I will recommend Mattress Firm a hundred percent. They’re great.

The last time we purchased beds was about five years ago. My husband and I are so different in the amount of cover we want as well as the firmness and the softness of bed. I want mine soft, he needs his harder. We were total opposites. So that's why we decided to go with the twins. We had used another mattress place down in Garden City but they are no longer there. The Mattress Firm store was fairly near our house so I thought we'd go in there and see what they have.
Claire, our sales lady, was so wonderful. It was a very good experience with her all the way around. She was super nice and very helpful with her knowledge of the different beds in the store. She took her time with us. She was the only one in the store that day and she kept apologizing for having to leave us and wait on other people, too. We tried out different ones and she would ask us questions about what we were looking for. And then she would steer us to this bed or that bed. We were probably in there for two and a half hours. It was a major purchase and we wanted ones that had the head and legs go up.
A few weeks after we had gotten our beds, there was an ad in the paper that if you purchase such and such bed, you get a further discount. I asked Claire if it applied to us but it didn't because she had already given us good discounts. But she ended up giving us two free pillows. So that was nice. I had purchased two of my pillows in the past and I hated it. But my husband loved it. So when we got the new pillows that Claire gave us, I loved it and Larry hated it. So he went back to my pillow and I have the new ones from Mattress Firm.

This is the first time in 39 years - (at 19 doesn't count) that I have written a complaint about a company and the product. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of customer at Mattress Firm. I purchased - what I believe is a Defective Bed and they told me to buy a better frame. I did buy the frame from Mattress Firm and my bed is still giving me back problems.
My reason for writing this review is - I called Mattress Firm to issue a complaint on the bed and I did what they said, because if I did not they can't file a claim (which I am responsible for the cost of a kit or inspector to verify the inquiry). I bought a new frame from Mattress Firm and called today to talk to my sales person and - well after I called the Claims Dept - they no longer carry Sealy Beds! What? The salesperson - Brandon was so rude to me on the phone when I simply asked for his advice. Now I need to call Sealy on Monday.

Normally, I would not take the time to write up a review but my experience compelled me to do so. Now let me start off by saying that my visit to the store was actually quite pleasant. We visited the location, tried out a few beds, and walked out proud owners of a Beautyrest Legend mattress. Molly was informative and great to deal with. We were happy, contented with our new mattress. But then came the delivery and with it, disaster. Let me preface this by telling you that I am writing this after hearing that they are unable to meet our 3rd scheduled delivery time. So let's take it step by step. (Keep in mind that my quotes are not what was actually said, but recaps of the conversations how I best remember them)
Day 1 - The delivery guys arrive with all the pieces we ordered. The mattress fits, but the box spring does not (Now we told them our hallway was very tight as we had experienced issues two days prior when moving our couch in). Shocker, the box spring doesn't fit. No problem, nobody is really at fault here. They take the box spring and the frame (per delivery guy's recommendation, we refused the frame as well) back. We keep the mattress, as we have nowhere else to sleep, and set up our new bed atop the plastic covering it arrived in, on the floor of our apartment. Later that day, I call the store and switch our order to a split box spring.
Day 3 - The day before our re-scheduled re-delivery: It's about 7pm the night before our scheduled delivery. I give the store a call just to double check the time of scheduled delivery. Molly picks up and I can already tell bad news awaits me. "Oh I'm so sorry but it appears that the frame is not in stock at this time, we will need to reschedule" Okay, not great news but not the end of the world. We circle back and reschedule for the next day. I wonder if I would have been notified had I not decided to call.
Day 4 - Attempt #3: We had been given a window of 4:45 to 6:45 on the prior day. I call at 4 to see if I can get a closer estimate. Molly picks up and we have a pleasant exchange. "Oh, I am so sorry but it appears as if the mattress isn't on the truck. Apparently, only half of the box spring was in the warehouse and the delivery guys canceled the order without informing us." Mind you, this is the THIRD time that we had rearranged our schedules to coordinate being home to receive the delivery. "We apologize profusely for the mix up and we ENSURE you that the mattress will, without doubt, be there on Friday" An hour before delivery, I am already on my way home after leaving work early, nobody has contacted me, I expect the truck to arrive within the hour. It took all my willpower not to throw my phone out of the train window and into the Hudson.
Day 6 - Today's News: Friday has arrived, time for the Fourth delivery time. (Honestly, at this point I am not even surprised anymore). My request to leave work early AGAIN is already in when I get the call. I practically have the store number memorized at this point. "Sir, it appears as if all of our trucks have left already and none of them have your box spring." NO. This is not happening again, for the fourth time. I was assured this box spring would be delivered, even if the store had to carry it over themselves.
As I sit here on the phone with the store manager, Will, I am so fed up with dealing with these people that I decide to cancel the incomplete order and go buy my bed elsewhere. But I can't even do that, the store won't take returns! Never mind that the order was never actually fulfilled, and that I paid in full over a week ago, and that the bed is already getting damaged from being on the floor. I could write paragraphs more about how furious I am right now, but I will leave you with this: If you are considering buying a bed, please take your money elsewhere. No returns even when your order is horrifically messed up.

Mattress Firm had ended their business relationship with Sealy products in the middle of my warranty claim process. Unfortunately I was one of the many customers that got caught up in the confusion. Mattress Firm customer service was able to forward my invoice and warranty photos to Sealy and my warranty replacement was handled and approved by the manufacturer. Mattress Firm promised me that had Sealy not followed through, they would have worked with me to find a replacement at a discounted price. Thanks!
Original Review: April 21, 2017
I have been so frustrated with my Mattress Firm experience. I purchased a mattress about a year and a half ago and about 6 months in I noticed my Sealy mattress no longer supported me like it used to. I weight 170lbs and sleep alone with a solid box spring support. It started sagging about 1.5 inches in the middle where I don't even lie down. But it's much worse when you lie it in you sink about 3 or 4 inches and my back kills me. I'm now waking up with severe back pain, but I cannot afford to spend another $1,500 on a mattress. I THOUGHT my mattress was covered by a warranty, but when I paid for an inspection they claimed it was just natural body impressions. That is so ridiculous because, as I stated to them, I do not sleep in the center of the bed and I do not weigh very much.
A warranty of 10 years was guaranteed and I started having issues like this at less than a year old. I think they should back their products and support their customers better than this. I am at a loss with how they have treated me, but I have made it a commitment to spread the word to all my friends, family, and coworkers, review sites and locations. They shouldn't be allowed to do this.

I bought two mattresses about two months ago and about three weeks ago, I bought a second mattress with the same guy at the same store. We're happy with them. The same guy that sold me and my wife always does good. He represents Mattress Firm well. If I didn’t like them the first time, I wouldn’t like them the second time and not bought the second mattress from them. In both deliveries, they were excellent. The delivery people were Hispanic but they spoke the language. They cared about what was going on. They made sure we were comfortable. They did everything they were asked to do. They made sure it was right. They also did a little bit extra stuff, which is fine.
I have a problem with mattress stores though. The problem I have there was not only with the stores but the manufacturer as well. The price listed sometimes is so way over what it should be and they’d give you an 80% discount. That’s BS. Before I bought my second mattress, I wanted to get a PO with some of the other mattress companies because my wife and I hadn’t bought a mattress in a long time. And then we bought two of them. It’s like buying a car. If I think I’m getting BS-ed, I may be in love with the car and they can see me drooling down my chin so they figure they got somebody who’s going to spend whatever he has to get the car, I walk out. I would have done the same thing with the mattresses but I found the mattress that I liked and the price was right, and I at times know when to trust somebody and when not to trust them. All in all, I’d recommend Mattress Firm to a friend.

However, I had a couple of issues with the frame. The frame is a little bit of a low-quality product so I had a very hard time assembling it. I arranged for the replacement but was told I could not replace the box spring. The new mattress was delivered and it was also "defective" (a dip in the middle). I again ordered a replacement and this time changed to a different brand as the suggestion of the new salesperson I had to deal with. I was charged extra for this.
When the new set was delivered, one of the delivery people noticed that the box spring was defective (hence the problems with the mattress). I tried to call Mattress Firm to explain that I did not feel I should pay extra for a replacement (and the delivery fee) since the box spring was defective. I was YELLED AT BY THE EMPLOYEE WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE and told I should be grateful I was getting anything from them. I was appalled. So was the delivery worker who noted the problem. He went outside to call his warehouse manager. The younger delivery assistant was left alone in my son's room during these phone calls. Several days after this fiasco, we realized that my son's DS had been stolen. I have bought four mattresses from Mattress Firm. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. They are rude and dishonest.

I noticed my receipt and it said the mattress was $1449.00. I asked a different salesperson why was I charged a different amount and he said that's probably how I got a free box spring. He also said the computer has the mattress at the higher price when you input it and it's. He also said he didn't sell me the mattress so he couldn't help me with any questions I had and didn't care about my problems I had with the store. They will price match any mattress and give you 10% on that.
The mattresses they sell for Serta are made just for them so you can't find a mattress cheaper. I did, their own store had it. I also was sold on a lease contract and was charged $64 for the lease that I thought the money was just a down payment because I told him that I would pay off the mattress in 3 months. I was not given my $64 back because I still owed money to Progressive Leasing even though I don't own a mattress. I was given free delivery but had to pay $70 to have them pick up the Mattress I wasn't happy with. When I returned the mattress the totaled cost for a Mattress I don't even own was $143.00. I purchased a mattress and box spring from Mattress Firm 2 weeks ago. Our new bedroom set hasn't arrived yet however on the order page, it says a box spring is required. We finally got our bedroom set yesterday and realize that it actually doesn't need the box spring. Since the box spring is brand new (never used it) we thought it could be returned. We looked up Mattress Firm's return policy online & there's nothing about the return except for the $99 processing fee if an exchange is needed. So we thought maybe going into the store & speaking with someone would help since they might understand the situation we're in & could give us some options.
When we got there, the person was NOT helpful at all - didn't even want to listen to our situation & kept saying there's nothing that could be done, no options. I was pretty disappointed given we just purchased an expensive mattress. We are/were customers, it just felt like there's no empathy to try and help. I felt like they got my business, now they don't care. It's the absolute worst 'after purchase' customer service I have experienced. I already feel bad about the mistake made by spending money on a not needed box spring but to be discarded as a customer by not even making the attempt to listen to my situation just made me feel even worse. I shouldn't have fall for those radio ads thinking that they're a company who cares - will definitely NOT shop at Mattress Firm again. I'll also be sure to share this friends & family.

They had some sale going on and the people had told me that they sold mattresses so I stopped and went in there. The salesman was a fabulous guy. I told him I got a bad back and what I was looking for. My husband doesn't like the box spring. But, we didn't take it out of the boxes because the rep said that we had 60 days if we wanted to upgrade the box spring. But otherwise, my overall experience was great and we were happy. He even gave me a great big Mattress Firm pillow. The delivery guys were great too. This is the first new mattress I've had in about 15 years. I was satisfied and they made us more comfortable. Everything was fine and I would recommend them to people.

I was in the process of looking at a Sleep Number bed, so I went there and looked. I always like to compare beds before I buy one so that's how I ended up at Mattress Firm and it was close to where I lived. Looking at reviews about a Sleep Number bed, a lot of people were not satisfied with it and Mattress Firm came into a good price range, as far as I want to pay per month. Also, if I want to pay it all early, I could but it won't go burden my pockets every month. Everything was over-expected. I thought I was gonna go in and get the little mattress spiel. I didn't know Mattress Firm carried the high upsilons of mattresses when I first walked in. So, it was more of a learning experience of what Mattress Firm has to offer.
The sales representative was very informative with what he was saying. We looked at about two or three products. We didn't exactly look at the bed at first and then, we finally came to a bed that was on the level of the Sleep Number that has an adjustable bed and really cooling. We started looking at that and he coached us through it. He also always keeps on trying to get me to get other stuff but he got me to a point where I was comfortable with it. Then, I scheduled a home delivery and everything went fine. We got a Tempur-Pedic Breeze 2.0.and it was a heating bed, a cooling bed and a bed that was in between soft and hard. I can adjust the firmness but it's at the right firmness that I liked.

I heard Mattress Firm had a good reputation and there’s one really close to us where I lived so I got a mattress from them. Everything was great and there’s a lot of really good customer service. Their representatives were very helpful and the people who delivered the mattress were very, very good and professional too. Overall, it seemed to go very well in operation. However, I’ve had some concerns since I got the mattress. The chemical smell that it came with has been impacting things health-wise. But, maybe I'm just oversensitive to the smell. I’ve been sleeping in a different room and it’s been getting better. So, we’re going to open up the windows a bit more now.

Mattress Firm has a shop close to us. When we went to the store, we told the guy there that we're looking for Tempur-Pedic. He showed us the different ones and told us the price. We were with our two children that time and he was patient with us. He’s nice and he said they have other foam mattresses that aren’t Tempur-Pedic but I didn’t want to look at those. We got the Tempur-Pedic mattress and the mattress protector. We have it delivered and the delivery team came exactly when they said they were going to come. They did their work quickly and they wore their shoe covers, which made me very happy. The mattress is good and we're still adjusting to it. It's firm and they said that it might go down a little bit but we need to wait to see. The only dissatisfaction is that I wish it was cheaper but I looked around and it's not.

Mattress Firm's motto talks about customer satisfaction and product quality. However, I have had the worst experience with both of them. The mattress that I got has a dip to the point that my husband has been having back problems and we are sleeping on the carpet. I called the warranty department for inspection. It turns out they rejected my claim for two tiny spots on the mattress which are not even close to where the mattress is dipping from. The salesperson had never mentioned that your warranty will be null and void if there is one tiny stain in the mattress. So much for paying $1,800 for a mattress that is now useless for us.
Keep in mind we always have a mattress cover on it which was purchased from Mattress Firm itself mattress away from any stains. I called the warranty claim department and spoke to several folks (Opal, Allen, etc.) for an hour and 13 minutes but to no avail. Mattress Firm is never getting my business again. Extremely disappointed!!!

My wife and I went into MATTRESS FIRM in Algonquin IL. We found a bed we wanted to purchase and spent the time to set up payment options, delivery date, etc... The person at the store told us we needed to return the following day to finish our transaction which was a Saturday. Since I work Saturdays I made arrangements with a coworker to come in that day (his day off) to cover me so I could get to MATTRESS FIRM before they close to get a Sunday delivery. So I get to the store to be told I didn't need to come in at all. Oops the guy who helped us is new and "didn't know what he is talking about". We can leave and was told our bed would be delivered by 5 pm on Sunday the following day.
So being that Sunday is my only day off and had several other things to do I waited and waited until 4:30 and called them. They had no clue what I was talking about and was going to return my call. I spoke to the store manager in Algonquin and he said "Figures. I'll have the guy who helped you call you back." So a short time later I received a call from the associate stating, "Oops. I'm sorry I messed up and didn't schedule it correctly." Well now I've wasted part of my Friday night, Saturday night and all of Sunday for "oops sorry". We were having family from out of town over for the holidays that week so it would have worked out fine if we got the bed on Sunday. So now the soonest we can get a delivery is the following Thursday after 7 pm. Not the best scenario but... that's how it went. So this is back in November 2016.
It is now April 2017 and still no bill from Mattress Firm. As stated above we made payment arrangement to be paid monthly for 12 months no interest. We gave them all our personal information. We made a downpayment with a check they cashed. Still no invoice 2 months later. I called the store and explained to the individual the issue that we have not received a bill after 2 months. He said that is normal. It takes awhile to processes the paperwork. Fast forward to now... I spoke to the associate we bought the bed from and he said because of an error a new employee made the paperwork got lost and never processed. My response was, "The new employee you are referring to is YOU." I recognized his voice and remembered his name. He said that I was correct and oops. Sorry for the mess up. That his corporate office was going to put me in collections if I don't pay my bill.
So... dumbfounded I ask him where the heck is my bill. I have no problem in paying what I owe but... I never received a bill. Not a lot to ask... He then tells me he needs my personal information again and a downpayment again?!? I'm now livid with the situation. What happened to my downpayment and more importantly my personal information, who has it??? Now I just got off of work on Good Friday to a notice I'm in collections for a debt I never received a bill for.
Can't wait for my lawyer to hear this one. My credit will be affected because of pure incompetence on MATTRESS FIRM. Needless to Say I will be sharing this everywhere I possibly can to warn people of the ignorance and lack business sense MATTRESS FIRM displayed in this instance. The absolute worst customer oriented experience I've EVER had. And for the record I still have never received a bill/invoice. Way to go MATTRESS FIRM. I'm sure we will be in touch soon!!!

Mattress Firm's customer service made me want to purchase from them. The girl in the location that I went to was extremely helpful. It's like my mattress was the hardest thing to buy and she walked me through it as much as she could. I didn't really know what to purchase or how, as I've never really purchased from there by myself, but she made me feel very good about my purchase. She also told me in detail about when I can return the mattress if I didn't like it. I'm not too sure about the mattress, though. I might need to consider getting something a bit less firm. I didn't know it was going to be that firm. I thought it was medium firm after I sleep on it, but mine stays firm and too hard.
I ordered two mattresses from them where it was in a bed frame. The only thing that I was very dissatisfied about was when I was told my bed frame and everything will be delivered at one time, but then when the delivery time came, they couldn't deliver my bed frame and they didn't have an ETA on when they can do it. They wanted me to purchase it, but couldn't tell me when because they say it was in a showroom. They couldn't tell me who can open up the store so they don't know when they can deliver it, and that was very weird. That was my first time hearing that the company doesn't know when they're going to be able to deliver something, and that threw me off. But other than that, it was a great experience.

I was moving and I needed a mattress fast so I went to a Mattress Firm store at Walmart in Atlanta. I got the mattress and box spring. It was like a pillow top. My girlfriend and I laid on it and she said, "It's okay." So, we got it. The rep was very knowledgeable and the experience was okay but I was ticked off during the last portion of it. I was going to buy the bed outright and I'll just put it on my credit card but after talking to my girlfriend, we decided that we were going to finance it for whatever their finance period was. So, we went through the whole process. The rep was talking to somebody from Synchrony Bank on the phone.
As they were talking the rep asked me, "Do you give me permission to say, yes to certain questions?" And I say, "Yes. That's fine." And then the rep from Synchrony Bank said, "Okay. Let me talk to the customer." And then she said, "Congratulations, you've been approved for a $3,000 credit limit on a credit card with Synchrony bank." And I said, "What are you talking about? I don't want a credit card. I want the bed." And I said, "I have no clue what you're talking about. I don't want a credit card. I don't want to do this." And then she said, "Okay. Let me talk to the sales representative again."
So, she talked to the rep again because he had no idea that this was happening. And then I heard her lecturing him, "Okay. You need to talk to the customers and let them know that they're getting a credit card." And I said, "I want to back out of this now. I don't want to do this." And she said, "Unfortunately, we've already approved you for this credit card. So, the best thing you can do is call customer service when you get the card and shut it off." But after doing my own research on this, I realized the credit card is needed for the bed because the bed has been put on a credit card. So now, I had to pay that balance off before I cancel the credit card and I was pissed off about it. The rep did the best he could but at first I was upset with him. And I said, "Hey, man. Just going forward. I would definitely tell the customer that they're getting a credit card out of this because you don't want them blindsided."
The lady from Synchrony Bank talked loud where I had to turn down the volume on my phone. It was about 9:00 at night and the store was closing but the rep stayed. I really respected that he stayed after his shift and he wasn't rushing me and my girlfriend. He was telling us to take our time. His customer service was phenomenal so they promoted him to a manager within a year. But, the sole Synchrony situation really turned me off to the point where I almost walked out of the whole deal. But, I was locked in at that point and I didn't like that feeling like I've been locked into something that I necessarily didn't want. So, I appreciate him doing that on a Friday night.
Now, I understand the rep from Synchrony Bank being ascending towards the rep of Mattress Firm in this situation because he didn't know and that was something that he should have known. But that was one of the bridges. It was only $600 some dollars so I'm not going to be that upset about it. So, I got the Synchrony finally and I'm still going to pay off the card and be dealt with it and own the bed. So, I bought the bed before I move to Jacksonville and I had the bed delivered on a Saturday during the first delivery. The delivery man dropped the bed off and they asked me, "Do you want take it out the plastic?" I didn't know that that's part of their protocol so they're supposed to do that. So I said, "No. It's okay. I'll take care of it." So, I took it out of plastic myself.
As soon as I did that, I saw that the stitching on the mattress was loose so I looked at it. I pulled the edge of the mattress but I didn't pull it hard. As soon as I pulled it, the stitching came off and the whole fabric of the mattress was just hanging there. I saw the entire foam pad inside the mattress and all that stuff. I looked at my girlfriend and I said, "Oh, hell no. Look at this." At that point, all we did was to shake our heads and then we looked down to box spring. The box spring fabric was ripped and then we just said, "Okay. We got to sleep on something. We had a long day of traveling." So, we put the mattress down on there and we went to sleep. And as soon as we went to sleep the bed sounded old and creaky. So, I'm lying on my bed and I'm really pissed off. I said, "I got a brand new bed but it sounds like I've had the bed for years."
The next day I called Mattress Firm and explained the whole situation in Jacksonville. The guy was really cool. He said, "Okay. Come in to Mattress Firm and we'll take care of you. We just need you to sign a couple more things. What you got is you got the stock box spring that is very cheap. It doesn't have like all the parts in it like to upgrade up for $50." So, I said, "Okay. I'll take the upgrade." So, I paid $50 and I got the upgrade. This time I watched the delivery men take all that out. I got the box spring and mattress replaced in Jacksonville. I sat back and I inspected it. After inspection I said, "The mattress is okay. It's good to go. But the box spring also had a tear on it again." So, as soon as they brought out the truck, I said, "That's a tear." And then, the guy said, "Well, your best bet is just to bring it up, sleep on it tonight and have us come replace it." So, I said, "Okay. We'll do that."
So, they brought them up to my apartment. The delivery man took pictures of it and then I called the Mattress Firm in Jacksonville again. This time I got a different guy, who's an ex-cop and we had a conversation about it. He could tell I was pissed off, explained my whole situation, moving all that. He said, "Okay. Well, since you've been having an issue, I'm going to give you a brand new box spring and I'm going to waive the charge for you." I said, "Okay." So, he said he did it. I have a text message saying he did it but I need to see a Synchrony statement to see if it was waived on that. It was about $59.
Now, I'm sleeping fine in the bed. It was just a lot of hoops that I had to jump through. Also, we can't work out on the delivery time. It was either we're first or second on delivery. They can only give me a timeframe and they can't tell a specific time. Because I started a new job, I had to tell one of my bosses that, "Hey, this is happening." Luckily I was in a good situation. I had quite the time with them so saying that my overall experience was okay was giving them quite a bit there.

I needed a mattress and a bed, and there was a Mattress Firm in Santee where I live. I went to one location, but I was never helped. The guy at the first store was on the phone and he said nothing to me, like I wasn't even there, so I just walked right out. So then, I decided to go to a different store and it wound up being a Mattress Firm again. The woman rep there was wonderful. I walked in and she immediately helped me. I told her what I was looking for and my price range. She gave me many options, told me the good and bad of each, and I made my decision based off that. She let me lie on each one of them so I could feel them out, and it was good. I bought a full-sized mattress that had a pillow top on it.
The delivery team was nice and wonderful. I live up a hill and there's no outlet, so they had to park at the bottom of the hill and carry my order up. They were really good about it. I was impressed with their attitude after having to carry the thing up the hill. I felt bad for them, but they were joking around and just happy to get it done. I just had them bring it in and didn't have them set it up.

My mattress was old and I haven't changed it more than a few years. I've been having a lot of issues with my back so it was time for me to get a new mattress. I'm tired of getting regular ones. I need to get something even if it's going to cost me some money because I have not been sleeping well. I'm 54 years old, I am not overweight and take very good care of myself.
I visited a few places then I went to Mattress Firm near my neighborhood. I got treated so nicely by the attendant I decided to purchase the mattress. She was wonderful and knowledgeable and that’s what impressed me. She explained to me details about the mattress and how it worked. Then she had me try different mattresses. She talked to me about the sale that was going on in the store. If you got one of the floor mattresses, you would get a discount. I talked about my budget and she said that they have a finance department that can help me. I had no idea. She explained and said that we can check if I was qualified and I did qualify.
When I got the discount because of the floor mattress that I chose, I was so ecstatically happy. I also purchased pillows. She was a sweetheart and she knew what she was talking about. That’s important because you don’t want to go into a store and then they don’t know what they're talking about. Then she asked me, “What's going on with your back? Have you been to the doctor?” She made it personal and I love that. She was able to help me out. Even the guys that delivered the mattress were so sweet, nice and thoughtful putting the red carpet and the bootie because it was rainy that day. They were so careful and polite. My overall experience was fantastic that I am going to be a customer. My back issues had reduced by more than 50% and I don’t wake up in pain anymore. It had reduced enormously. I will also refer people. My future mattresses, pillows and I'm getting to ready to buy a headboard, I’m going to buy from them.

Also, the sales rep didn't work too hard to try to sell me the extended warranty when I told her I didn't want it or whatever add-on she had. She offered it to me but didn't pressure me. We bought a mattress for my dad when it was Sleep Train. My dad thought mattress was too high for him (he is elderly), so we went to return mattress back to store (Feb 11, 2017). We had didn't want to pay the delivery charge so we went to the warehouse to pick up and return mattress. They charged us $79 to return, that was ok, but the events that happened after the return, all the paperwork that happened in the Corp office is where I got upset. I bought mattress with a credit card, so should've been an easy refund back to the credit card. Weeks go by I do not see any debit back on my card. I call the company again (Mar 14, 2017), talking to the CR, looked into the two different invoices because of the company change over, she told me they sent a check to me because accounting couldn't refund back to my credit card. I said 'Ok'.
After thinking about it that night, I remembered the salesman had put in the warehouse address not my address, so I called again (Mar 15, 2017) to let them know they sent to the wrong address. They talked to accounting and they said they had to do Stop payment on the check. I had to fill out the form and send back. I sent back filled out form to the CR. I called her direct line, left message and emailed her asking if she received form and if it looked okay, no reply back on either. I was getting so mad with the lack of communication, I finally called the original phone number again Mar 20, 2017, the CR said Accounting has received the form and will be processing it. I called again Mar 27th, 2017 to find out when I can expect the check, they said it should take 7-10 days, so I waited patiently, checking for the mail each day and nothing. By this time I had reached my limit for patience.
I called again April 10th, after the 10 days has passed. Now I wanted to talk to the supervisor, of course CR said she could not transfer me to them. They would have to call me back (sure they will). In the meantime the CR said she would go to accounting and check on my refund. She gets back on the phone and said they had just sent out the check THIS MORNING... I was so ANGRY. Each time I had called they had said the check is coming, it's in the mail, then to find out two months later they just sent the check that morning. So not only did they charge me for returning the mattress, the credit card interest that I accumulated in waiting for my check, I never had such blatant run around before. You better make sure you really want that mattress, you will have a hard time getting a refund back.

The delivery people were good and they came out with the last bed of the day but treated it the same way, even though they said they have a long ride home after because they don't live in the area I live in. My only comment is that there are newer products coming out that a lot of the stores aren't carrying and Mattress Firm is big enough to consider trying them. Even though they are more expensive, they are very good products. The reason I went in there in the first place was to find something like that and they didn't have it.

When we brought our mattress home we noticed that the plastic bag that it was in was extremely dirty on one side, but it didn't affect the mattress. The first night we laid on it it was unbearable to lay on. I wanted to give it more time so the second night was more of the same to the point where my wife had to lay on the couch. The third night I couldn't do it anymore. We had the mattress in a NEW plastic bag and went out to purchase another mattress. You guys charging us $150 for a mattress that is still in plastic is upsetting to say the least. We never expected to return it.
I feel we should have been told that the mattress that we are buying is going to feel drastically different than the one in the store. THAT IS MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT AND WOULD HAVE CAUSED ME NOT TO BUY THE MATTRESS and not have basically given away $150 for returning a new mattress that is still in plastic. Very disappointed customer.

Mattress Firm was one of the few stores in the area and was very much more respectful than the last one that I went to. I was frustrated from the last store. The sales rep from the last store was very insulting when I expressed to him that I couldn’t afford the mattress that he was showing me. He did show me something that was in my budget but of poor quality. He was very much a used-car salesman and was interested in letting me leave. It was terrible. On the other hand, I walked in to Mattress Firm and told them I've been working a 12-hour night shift. I was very tired, wasn’t interested in haggling and had a $500 budget. Rather than try to negotiate with me and try to get me to go higher, they showed me what I was able to get. He brought one that is $150 under my budget and I love what I got. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. It was wonderful.
As for delivery, they called me when the mattress came into the store and I picked it up. They loaded it for me and it was wonderful. I'm very happy with the bed. I have not slept this long on a bed in quite a long time. I will definitely be shopping there next time. I've already recommended them. They were helpful, courteous and respectful.

We purchased 2 mattresses and 2 mattress protectors from their store in Houston. We arranged for delivery, but due to lack of communication, we missed the driver who left before we got to the empty house. As we would we leaving the next day, we cancelled the entire order, first on phone, then in person at the store. We returned the unopened boxes of mattress protectors and were given confirmation of that return. We were told the cancellation of the mattresses had to be confirmed once the driver went back to the warehouse.
3 days later, despite many calls to the store, we still have not received any cancellation confirmation via email as promised, and there is no refund of anything, not the protectors or the mattresses. The store rudely asked me to contact their 800 number which is a 30 min wait to reach anyone and no information on the refund. I disputed with my credit card company and will post on any site I can find so other homeowners will not be victims of this scam.

We placed an order three weeks ago for a Tempur-Pedic queen bed with base, etc. for $8K+. We were told that the item was on backorder. Today, the DAY BEFORE it was to be delivered, we were called by the store and told that Mattress Firm was no longer a Tempur-Pedic distributor and they'd sell us a King for the same price or refund our money. We have a queen bedroom set being delivered tomorrow from another store and now have nothing to put in it. This is a former Sleep Train location. While the same people maybe working there, we are of the opinion that this company does not have the same commitment to customer service as Sleep Train does, and is not interested in preserving Sleep Train's excellent reputation. Californians, avoid this Texas chain at all costs.

I was looking for a Tempur-Pedic and Mattress Firm had a nice price on it. The mattress I selected was very firm. It's the HD model Contour and it fit my needs because I have a bad back. I had surgery and in maintenance mode and the mattress works for me. I had slept on a Tempur-Pedic prior then bought a new home and as a result, I needed a queen-size bed, so I bought this one.
The rep was supportive and worked with me because I bought the mattress in a Sugar Land, Texas store and my home is in Nevada. So I had to coordinate the delivery through Nevada and the rep was able to do that for me. Then delivery was great. The other thing was that it turned out that the bed was a little too high for me though I liked the mattress. So I swapped the box spring out for a slim line box spring with no additional cost and that all worked out fine. I'm very satisfied. They were accommodating in working it out as far as my needs.

My mattress wasn't good anymore so I Googled Mattress Firm. They had some pretty good deals available with the bed option. They also have a really good customer service. I went to one location but they didn't have the new mattresses that I wanted to try out. The sales representative directed me to another Mattress Firm that was close by. He also had already called the other location so the sales rep was already expecting us. The young lady from the other location was able to show us right away some of the options of what I wanted to look for or the particular brand that I was looking at. After that, she explained as far as how much it costs and see if we're interested in financing it or if we're going to pay it in full. She also gave us plenty of options before we actually made a final decision.
The mattress arrived the following day, since I went ahead and paid it in cash. Mattress Firm was able to accommodate it to where I didn't have to wait. So the next day, I was able to see my mattress. They kept in contact with me through the whole process. They let me know what time it was arriving and when they've put in the request. And once the mattress got there, the gentleman helped me put it inside and set it up. It was a really good experience and it has definitely exceeded my expectations. I got the medium mattress because I am currently pregnant and it is good for my back. The firm maybe a little too hard for me. I also got the spring box and pillows to go with the mattress. The pillows have some sort of gel in them. They’re soft and durable. I don't have any complaints.
If you’re really interested in looking at a particular mattress, don't be afraid to ask questions. You just never know what Mattress Firm might be able to do for you to help you meet your needs and your expectations.

My wife thought it was time for a new mattress, so we went and bought a new one. The sales representative was thorough on explaining the different mattresses. He did an excellent job and convinced us that we should buy it. It's nice to sleep on and I'm happy with the service. I bought it around 2:00 and it was delivered to the house by 6:00. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. It was a very nice exchange and a great experience. Buying a mattress isn't all that exciting but it was good. We got what we wanted to get, and it was delivered quickly, and it's working out well.
Kermit,

Mattress Firm has the interest-free period and we can pay our purchase interest-free over four years. We got an adjustable bed but unfortunately, the mattress has not been too good. We already had to swap the mattress out once and the one we got is not even that comfortable. We're still trying to get used to it. It's supposed to be pillowtop but it's too firm and not very comfortable.

I will start by saying the lady the help me with my purchase on 3/1/17 at the 181 and SN was very kind, patient and helpful in getting me a twin XL (which it was hard work because she had a hard time in finding the box spring for the XL twin). I had to go 2 days after to see they'd had it in the system. I also purchase a regular twin. I pay 1000+ in Cash. On 3/9 I received my delivery but return the box spring for the regular Twin. I called the same day about the return she did tell me it will take about a week or so. Call back a week later and they don't know what's going on because they see the return in their system but they don't have an answer??? I NEED MY MONEY!!!

Mattress Firm was the cheapest option so we bought the Beautyrest Ultra black mattress from them, which was the most comfortable. The rep was great and awesome. He does everything and it was good. But, the warehouse sent the wrong one at first so we got the second one when we ordered about two weeks later. However, the crew that brought the replacement were complaining about stuff and it was unpleasant. But overall, it was easy and a good experience.

It went smooth with the sales rep. He was very knowledgeable. He gave me a lot of information as far as what I needed to know about the bed. He got me to sit on the beds and let me sleep on them. I felt he really knew what he was doing unlike other Mattress Firms wherein they don’t really know much about the beds. He double-checked and made sure that it's the bed that I wanted. He also mentioned what a nice price was for a bed. I like the feel of the one that I picked. I thought that was the right bed to purchase. When I got the bed and laid down on it, it has a comfortable touch and it was very soft. I loved it. My overall experience with them was very welcoming. I'd recommend Mattress Firm to friends.

Mattress Firm has a very good customer service. The guy working at the Tyrone store helping me was really efficient and good. He gave me all the options in my price range. I was ready to purchase and that was very easy. Then, the mattress was delivered and the delivery team was really good, efficient, fast and nice. Mattress Firm did a great job and I'm pretty happy. I might be interested in getting a topper and some pillows down the road. So, they gave customer loyalty life points.

My situation started on Feb. 26. It was delivered on Tuesday and both the mattress and box spring were thrown on my vintage bed frame. I was at one end when I put it in but apparently it was too late. Went to sleep and was awoken at 4 am to a shift in the bed. Had to get up and my side was broken off my bed frame. I came home from work knowing I had to dismantle the bed frame which now needs repair. I put the frame and mattress on the floor. Cannot even stand up the pain is so bad.
My entire experience this company does not care about the customer. I was not aware of the colors on the bed. With my first purchase that bed was too hard. My entire delivery process did not go as I told the company I have nothing, as the first bed I cancelled before it actually got to me. The second bed was too firm. Now this bed which is too soft. I am left with the bed on the floor due to the unprofessional delivery people. Why were there 2 people when only one handled the mattress and box spring. By the way nobody ever said the box springs and the mattress are oversized so the first bed I had to buy a stool to get into it. When I made the return I got the smaller box spring which did fit into my bed frame properly. Since I now have terrible back pain I do not know what am I going to do.

I bought a Stearns and Foster mattress at the Once in a Lifetime sale, paying $1,604.99, 50% of the listed price for a floor sample. I spent about 40 minutes trying the only two Stearn and Foster mattresses displayed. The difference between the softer and medium mattress was small and on the recommendation of the salesmen as the softer being better for sciatica, I bought the softer of the two.
What was delivered the next day was gorgeous looking and horribly soft. I sit on the edge of the bed and my thighs were half way into the mattress. When laying down I sink into whatever the soft substance is and my buttocks sink in doubly, so that my body is in a V shape, my head and upper arms and feet being the top of the V and hips and pelvis the bottom. Forget about using a pillow since it will make this even worse. Since I am now embedded into this thing it gets hot fast, and the wedge position inflames my sciatica and makes my lower back hurt. I weigh 135 lbs, use the bed alone, and this is a $3,000.00 bed! As this was not enough the sides of the bed slope to the outside, and the mattress has a cut on one side!
I went back to the store next day after delivery, and sure enough the floor sample I bought was still on display. It was acceptably soft and supported my body correctly - no sinking it, no wedge shape. This was the same floor sample that the salesman told me, "I was lucky to get since it was on the floor less than a month". When I confronted the staff, I was told that the mattress I got was delivered from another location, and since it is a sale item, no exchange or refund will be made. I should get used to it.
I tried getting help from the store again this week, after being out of town, as I cannot use it nor do I think anybody else could, but was told I am free to choose and buy another mattress! I hope someone reads this and is extremely careful when buying from this company. Apparently under the guise of the sale you can get a very costly mattress that is a discard and the company will not refund or exchange it. If I bought a cheap mattress at Costco I would at least have something I could use.

Mattress Firm's prices were very good compared with everybody else around. However, I've had a few warranty claims with the box springs. My first purchase was a king size mattress which has two twin foundations, and I'm having a problem with those box springs. I did a warranty claim on that one. When we were moving into a house, my wife wanted to go with a queen because of the headboard she wanted. So, we went with a queen and then had the same issue with the box spring. Then I went back to a king and had the same issue. Everything has been taken care of, but it's just a little bit of a pain.
Before, I would fax in the papers and the mattress inspector gets me, but now, they do it a little different. At least this time, when I had an issue with the frame and the box springs, I called, and whomever I spoke with just gave me store credit for the boxes and we went from there. Then for the frame, I had to go through Leggett & Platt, itself. I couldn't go through Mattress Firm, which was a little bit of a pain but they held up their end as well.
My experiences with the sales reps have been good, for the most part. This last one, when I did my warranty claim for the boxes, the rep I talked to was really good. The delivery was to be a few days back. Nobody's home during the week, so the weekend was the only time I could take the delivery. He said Saturday, and that they'd call me the night before to schedule the delivery, to let me know that they're coming. Come Friday, I called and said nobody has called me, and I was told it's automated and it will come through at around 6:30. About 7:30, I called back and told them I haven't heard anything yet. Then the rep looked up the account and he wasn't seeing it. I could hear him talking to the guy that I originally spoke with, and he said they didn't have the boxes in stock yet.
Whether he checked and had them or just forgot to finish to finalize the warranty claim, when the delivery day came, I had to end up waiting another week, which I wasn't too upset with because Leggett & Platt had me going a little bit with them. They sent me a replacement piece and it was the wrong piece. That coincided with the week that the Mattress Firm rep screwed me around saying that items were going to be delivered, and then changed my delivery date. But once everything got going on, everything was on schedule. It was delivered and it was good. All in all, I would buy from Mattress Firm again.

I was looking for something a little firmer because I have back problems and stuff. The sales rep from Mattress Firm pointed out a bunch and let me lay down on it. A couple other ones were a little pricey so I told him what was more of my price range and he suggested some cheaper options. I ended up going with a pillow top queen size mattress. It was in my price range however it was towards the top bed, and that seem like one of the cheaper ones so it's a little pricey. But it's something that I'd be using every night for a long time so it's important. It's probably been close to a month that I have it. I was a little sore the first couple of mornings and I just had to adjust to it. But what I think now, my body is used to it and it's been great. The mattress is comfy so far. It went pretty well and it was a good experience.

I was supposed to be given a two hour window but when no one contacted me I called the company. Lo and behold the company had stopped carrying the product. No one contacted me!!! They took my money and left me sitting there waiting for a delivery that was never going to come. When I contacted the manager he had a lot of excuses although he did apologize. Terrible service.

We told the sales person our needs. Our current bed of latex no springs or coils was old, we needed a new latex bed. Closest they had was Savant PL Mattress, iComfort I think. However the policy was not well explained nor was a written policy provided to us, just they had 120 happiness or money back or exchange. So the first bed was not a good bed, the stitching/quilting was so pronounce my RA sensitivity could not take it. They exchanged the King mattress set for a Beauty Rest Black pillow top, top of the line (clearly had coils but rep swore tons of latex, foam, memory etc), but still the stitching was very pronounced, we agree better than first. We did Exchange for $149.00. We were told give it 30 days to break in etc, same info as first, so after two weeks we went back and said we need to return the bed for refund. We needed to find alternative, a natural latex no coils.
The 100% Happiness Guarantee or 100% refund is not happening, per Manager Mike at the Keene, NH store, tells us it's policy, nothing can be done. Honestly, this was not how the exchange we discussed, a refund was not offered nor was it said we COULD NEVER return and refund. Plus the sales receipt did not state that in our first purchase that was emailed to us. (Printer broken to give us.) We need to pursue this now, as REFUND probably through Small Claims court if no results happen after seeking district manager contact info. VERY UNHAPPY!!

I was trying to get a hold of the guy that sold me the Mattress Firm bed at the home show because I had a couple of things that I wanted to change. When they installed the bed, I didn't know the guy had two different remotes in one big mattress. They gave me two remotes because I have a king size bed and it has two different partitions instead of just one. If you want to lift the bed up or something, you got to lift up two remotes and hopefully not do it at the same time. Otherwise, it will burn out and then the cost is on me. I either have to get one rack for the mattress to sit on with one remote or I got to get a mattress that splits. So, I can only raise one side at a time. That's the problem I don't want to have because the main reason I got that is because of the remote and it can raise me up. I don't need it to burn out on me and not be able to raise the bed up.
But the guy hasn't been able to get back to me or return a message. I don't wanna have to give it back because mechanically, I can't do what I want with it. It's important for me for my breathing, my back and all these stuff I have that's wrong with me. But I like the comfort and I like sleeping on it. If they can correct that hump for me, I'll be glad to keep it.

My wife and I had shopped six different mattress stores before we landed on Mattress Firm. The other stores were blabbering about the mattresses on sale without understanding what we were looking for. But, the Mattress Firm experience was 180 degree opposite. The salesperson named Cindy is an exact exemplary representation of what I think Mattress Firm's mission is. Her sales process and execution was planned and structured. I happened to be a professional seller all my career and so I look at things like that.
I remember her sales technique very well. She stood a good 30 minutes discovering what our sleeping needs were both individually and collectively as a couple before she started recommending mattresses. Then, she took us through a comparative analysis of the different types of mattresses. The three types were conventional, memory foam and the hybrid, and she walked us through all of that. The owners of the company should be very happy to have her on the payroll.
My wife and I ended up buying a conventional but the high-end Stearns and Foster. However, it turned out not being the right mattress. And so, we took it back 60 days into it. Cindy took us through the whole process again. We were anticipating a bit of grief and aggravation about returning a mattress, and there was none of that. Cindy then got us into a new mattress. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I sold all my furniture before I relocated to Texas so I didn't have a bed. I had to get a bed so I purchased a mattress, box spring, pretty much the whole nine from Mattress Firm. The only thing was the delivery people were late. They told me they were gonna come between 3:00 and 5:00. My manager approved for me to leave around 2:00 so I left at 2:00 thinking they're gonna come in between 3:00 and 5:00. However, they didn't get there until 5:45.
I could have got off at 5:00 and made it home in time if I would have known that. I get home at 5:30 every day and it would have been perfect. But it caused too many issues at work because I have to report my time. We don't clock in but I have to let them know and they want me to make up time if I leave early. So I was upset about that. Other than that, they set up the mattress nicely and everything was perfect. It's really a good mattress, too. I love and would recommend the mattress itself to other people but the delivery inconvenienced my time.

Returned the mattress within the 30 for comfort. Ending up spending another 1500.00 on new mattress. Something happened with the return and the purchase was there for almost 2 hours while he was on the phone with tech support. Salesman was very apologetic. They pick up our old mattress and there is no new mattress. Called the location right up. She said, "Let me call the warehouse. I will call you right back." Well 45 mins later I call back she said that it was on the truck. "I will call you back when the warehouse calls me."
One hour and 15 mins go by I call her back and she gave me some speech that they were going to call me in 5 mins. Now I have no bed. I demanded my money back and because we paid cash we need to wait 10 to 14 days. They lost out on my 3500.00 sale plus the 2 more mattresses I was going to buy for my kids. I will also spread the word never to shop at any Mattress Firm again.
