I purchased an Alexandria sofa and had it delivered about a month ago. I immediately reported an issue with the button tufting to the sales associate who sold me the sofa. He directed me to LaZBoy Customer Service. I have called numerous times over the past month, waiting on hold a total of over 5 hours now, without being able to get through to a support agent for warranty assistance. Further attempts to resolve my complaint locally with the sales associate and store manager in Lynnwood have fallen on deaf ears - just keep getting told I need to speak with corporate customer support. It seems corporate customer support does not answer their calls, or puts customers on perpetual hold so they get frustrated and hang up. To say I am very dissatisfied with my experience is an understatement. I would appreciate someone resolving this complaint ASAP.

Please, beware of La-Z-Boy's customer service. We have had nothing but problems with the, furniture set, since the day it arrived. Last appointment for a service tech to take another look, was booked out 2 months, day before they cancelled. "Several" call attempts have been made, to reschedule, no one answers, "literally holding over an hour" until unable to hold anymore. Also, several emails attempts, no success, it's outrageous. I just need them to fix their product, the recliners have never worked correctly, the hardware from the couch, sliced holes in our floor, our floor is ruined. Desperately seeking help to have this resolved.

Well my new chair is a piece of junk. The upholstery does not fit properly, is wrinkled, looks like it has been sat in for many years. I have had it 2-3 weeks.

We decided to buy a couch from La-Z Boy since they are supposed to have this spectacular selection. We waited 9 months... 9 MONTHS for our sectional. At the end of those 9 months, you don't always remember exactly what it looked like, felt like, what exact color you chose, how far back the recliner went, but what you do remember is THAT IT WASN'T BROKEN. 9 Months for a broken sectional. The delivery guys tell us they're just delivery guys and call the store... Store tells us to call for a service to get the tech out to fix the couch. SECTIONAL CAN'T BE FIXED FOR A MONTH AND A HALF.

Technician comes out a month and a half later... 10 minutes into him here, all he can say is they're going to have to put in a report and someone is going to be in touch about what to do next but he can't tell me when. The only reason it's two stars is because the sales woman was a delight. Every moment after paying has been awful. A $5,000 broken sectional that your service tech couldn't even fix. Disappointed is an understatement.

If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting more than 6 months for supposedly two top of the line gliding/swivel/reclining chairs, it's really hard to believe just how bad the chairs are performing after just the first use. The clanking - banging - creaking - groaning noises from BOTH chairs is so bad and so loud, we can't sit in them. Calls to their "Service Department" for the defective chairs is nothing but a total intentional run around that will have you waiting on hold and/or waiting for a service person who simply doesn't show up. You would think that such a large established company like La-Z-Boy would have it figured out, but we have been sorely disappointed and would never buy from them again. It's also important to mention that their retail store in Brick was absolutely no help whatsoever to help resolve the abhorrent quality issues with the product and care only about the next sale.

Worst customer service ever. Three days of on hold, for 2 hours, for service. They blamed it on lack of workers (Let's go Brandon). They will lie to you and tell you the warranty is lifetime and everything is covered except urine (when you are there). I purchased a $6000 sectional and recliner. Even after purchasing an extended warranty, a service call to the Coachella Valley is $160 plus $13.99 for parts. Labor rates are not stated on the paperwork that you receive after you pay. So you have no clue until a small plastic piece breaks.

Within six months, the stitch areas between the leather and vinyl started cracking on my sofa and loveseat. These points can actually cut your skin. The technician that came to my house took pictures and said that it needed to be replaced. La-Z-Boy says that this type of defect isn't covered under warranty and I'd have to pay for repairs. Seriously?! Four thousand dollars for a sofa and this is the customer service that you get?! I'm a long time customer of this company (30 years) and never had a problem with its products before. Believe me when I say they have changed. This company's quality has gone way down. Buyer BEWARE!

We purchased two recliners from La-Z-Boy only 23 months ago. One of them we hardly use due to the horrendous sound it is making. I remembered that the store talked me into the $232 extended warranty! POINTLESS!!! LIARS!!!! The service call alone, will cost me $195 just for coming and $95/hr after!!! To fix a spring in the garbage they sold me. The warranty is just a way to steal your money and the furniture is junk! We don’t even have kids, no overuse. Go somewhere else! Buy someone else's garbage for way less because let’s face it, there is not much quality these days.

Within a day creaking came back, called and had to wait another 8 weeks for repairman to come back, at that time, after I told him it was not an oil problem, he got annoyed said nothing could be done and nastily said "I will never come to this house again." I even offered him water and still not friendly. We were away for the winter and more so I started again to try to communicate with you. Went to the store where we bought and they said nothing can be done from there.

Called your 855 # waited 1:10 min, called again another 52 min. this was on 6/6/22, called again on 6/7. Spoke to Jason who said his supervisor will call me within 1 to 6 days, told him to call me on my cell but today 6/10 find a message at home number. Not from the supervisor but from Jason to call the 855 # again, spoke to an Alexis who will send a repairman on June 24th, have to stay home all day because you do not give an about time. The plastic connectors broke within 6 months, the fabric started pilling, and becoming threadbare. Called the store for recommendations for cleaners, the people they recommended sent a guy who was 4 hrs late, and tried to intimidate me into coming in my house, called about the fabric guarantee, nope. It's only good for 6 months, called about getting the connectors replaced, I would need to pay for that. I might as well have spent a few hundreds and bought something from Ashley. Save your money the quality has gone down, and they don't stand by the product.

I've always heard La-Z-Boy furniture is the best so in the summer of 2021 I purchased 2 recliners from the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in Eugene. An Astor and a Randall, both in brown leather. The cost of the chairs was just under $1500ea. The sale process was okay, but it took longer than promised to get the chairs in and deliver them. Almost right away one of the brown leather chairs began to turn white, and then the white started to peel off. It appears to be some sort of a coating as the leather under it seems fine, but it makes the chair look like it belongs in the landfill.

By November the problem had gotten extremely bad, so I called the store but was told all warranty issues were handled through Tualatin. I called them and was told the soonest anyone could come out to look would be January. Really?? The technician came out in January, said he had never seen anything like it, took photos, and said they would take care of it. Long story short it is now almost May and after over a dozen phone calls and emails, many of which were never responded to, La-Z-Boy still has not taken care of the problem.

I purchased a sofa four months ago. I was told that it would be delivered by the end of February - mid-March. I informed the sales representative before making the purchase that I would be leaving Clearwater for a few months in April and would need the sofa by then. The salesperson assured me that I would definitely have the sofa by April. I attempted to call the service department at La-Z-Boy several times in March because I had not received a delivery date, but no one returned my call. I wound up going into the store and was told that my sofa was being prepared for shipping and that I would receive it in a few weeks. It never came, again, I tried calling, and again no one returned my call, so I had to return to the store. I was then informed that my sofa was due to ship on the 18th of April. The 18th came and went with no sofa.

I went back to the store again and was told again that my sofa would ship in three to four weeks, which is what they told me in March. Whether or not I will receive it, is anyone's guess. Their excuse is that they have had problems with distributors and have also had an exceptionally high demand for orders. As a result, I had to cancel my travel plans and am now being held hostage until La-Z-Boy decides to ship my sofa. While I was last there checking on the delivery status, there was another customer there who had been waiting over a year for his product.

Given that they did not keep their agreement to deliver the sofa by April, I believe that I should have been allowed to cancel the order, but I was told I could not. I wouldn't have purchased the sofa if I had known that it would not be delivered by the time I was due to leave the state for the summer. They do not return calls and when you are able to speak to someone, they just lie. I will never shop at La-Z-Boy again. They didn't even offer any compensation for my trouble.

We purchased a reclining sofa at the beginning of November. We later received notification that the delivery date was gong to be April 20, 2022. Come April and it is now going to be "late May" maybe. According to the agreement, it is too late to cancel as you only have three days from date of purchase to cancel the order even though it may take up 9 months to make and deliver it. There is no way that they have started making something that many months before delivery but you are stuck no matter what. You are committed no matter what delays they incur. So... don't order unless you are certain you can't find a similar item with a much shorter delivery time elsewhere. Arguably, the ingredients are nearly universal and go into every product (wood, cushion material, cloth, springs, controls, hardware). Why it takes 9 months to put it together is a mystery but, that is what you sign up for with La-Z-Boy. Hopefully you won't die before they deliver it.

Since then we have had both mechanisms break on the either side of the sofa, rendering the couch unusable because the foot rest is stuck halfway open.

We've owned the couch for 6 months and it's broken multiple times and now we cannot use it for another 3 months until a service tech comes out -- all while paying for it. We even opted for the extended warranty and now realize that after 1 year of ownership we will need to pay for each tech visit ($124) at this rate of every 3 months needing a repair it will end up becoming a money pit. Highly disappointed with the quality of our product, wholeheartedly think this couch is junk and don't want it in our house. I choose this company because of their reputation for their excellent warranty. I spent this amount of money because I thought I would have a product that was well made and would last for many years to come. I spent hours in the store talking to employees and making sure that no matter what, they would honor a warranty if I needed it, I was very wrong.

Two years into having the set, my couch frame was warped and beginning to crack. I have spent the next 2 years fighting with them about the extended warranty. TO DATE, I have been through more than 6 people, been assured of assistance and shuffled around endlessly. I now have a couch that the frame is completely broken and not useable. My "phantom warranty" will expire at the end of this year and I have zero resolution. The manager at the Barrie location where I purchased it, assured me a few months back she would help. She has now shuffled me to another person without giving me any info and refusing to answer my emails after looking me in the eye and telling me not to worry, she would help. Utterly disgusting practice for such a large company with such a reputation. I will never buy from this store again.

Beware of reviews that are about a recent purchase of furniture that hasn’t been used very much yet. I’m not sure why reviewers are giving 5 stars recently about how great their furniture still is from 20 years ago when things are not built the same. Also the 5 star reviews about recent purchases saying they know how great the furniture will be in “years to come” when it hasn’t even arrived yet.

My December 2020 buying experience was great! Delivery in January 2021 - gorgeous! But I noticed immediately after receiving that my $2700 manual reclining sofa/loveseat head/seat cushions were filled very large squishy foam with absolutely no firmness. Less than 3 month later, the cushions are starting to sag and the fabric loose and starting to pill. A year later, the most worn seat looks terrible - very saggy cushions, fabric is extremely saggy on the headrest and seat and pilled on the cushion edges and footrest. The rest of the seating gets used about an hour a day and is showing pilling, sag and loose fabric.

I spent HOURS finally deciding on La-Z-Boy and making my style/fabric decisions and hoped for the best when I saw the negative reviews of declined quality. It’s a waste of money and a waste of material and will take up space in a landfill a lot sooner than it should. Very sad and very annoying. And as a reviewer on another site asked “If not La-Z-Boy, then what?” I’m not sure where to go for quality reclining, manual (because electric breaks more easily) sofa and loveseat that’s not a sectional. Save your money/aggravation and do not buy La-Z-Boy. Listen to the reviewers who have purchased within the last couple of years when quality wasn’t what it was “years ago”. People who have had the chance to use the furniture for at least 6 months to a year. Listen to them.

Good day; After decades of being a loyal customer, countless purchases over the years with a growing family, I find myself discouraged and disappointed about the poor service I received in my now aging years. Now a senior, and caring for my husband's illness, I've spent thousands of dollars on ensuring he was comfortable in his current state. To celebrate what might very well be his last Christmas, we purchased a loveseat on December 23rd so that company may comfortably sit with him as he is bound to his LaZBoy chair.

After the purchase within 72 hours of receipt we contacted your establishment to request that they pick up the loveseat and work with me to exchange it for something comfortable. After 24 hours the loveseat looked terrible. The right cushion seat was significantly lower than the left. It is uncomfortable for myself and my guests concurred. We've always had lazy boy furniture for almost 40 years now and never have we paid such an amount for what we feel is poor quality. My guests even concurred "This is not something anyone would want to sit on for any extended period of time." The cushions are hard, they sink and lose their shape, and it feels like subpar materials were used in the making, it feels and looks cheap as a result. It definitely does not justify a $2,146.92 dollar purchase for this loveseat.

What adds insult to injury here is that despite several calls and emails and the initial request as per your return policy, the matter has yet to be resolved. I feel as though as a loyal customer who's dropped more than $5,000 dollars in six months in your store on Hunt club road, I've been fluffed off, ignored and put aside. Here we are entering the month of February and I have yet to have a manager deal with this issue and assist us with the return of this loveseat. I can't help but wonder if what I am experiencing is ageism. Is this in fact a result of discriminations vis a vis senior citizens? Or are all customers treated so poorly.?

My Mother has purchase La-Z-Boy furniture for decades...sofas, chairs, hassocks. Most recently she asked me, her daughter, to help her purchase a new Lift Recliner. Because she is a small woman, and with the help of the Oxnard La-Z-Boy sales person, Kayla, we purchased a Miller Bronze recliner/Lift Chair in April 2021. It was delivered to my mother in Ventura and worked for 9 months. It stopped working when my Mother was in a reclined position with her feet elevated. It could not move. Oh, by the way, my Mother is 100 years old, mentally capable, but required the Lift Chair in order to get out of her chair...oh, and she is legally blind. She lives in a beautiful Assisted Living facility in Ventura.

When the chair stopped working family and facility staff tried to correct the problem. No issue could be discovered. After a 2 week wait for service, the 3rd party service man said the "transformer" was damaged and it would take 30 days to get the part and then a service call would have to be scheduled. So, a nine month old chair was not useable!

When I tried to get this problem rectified, I was meant with obstacles. It was only when I said I wanted to replace the chair that a Customer Care representative, Savannah, called to say they will send the part in 3-5 business days. Today is the 5th business day and NO PART. Though I called and emailed Comfort Care, I received no response as of the writing of this review. Currently, my 100 year old mother is out $1700.00 for the Lift Chair, she does not have a lift chair to use, and it is doubtful this will be corrected any time soon. Advice to consumers, DO NOT PURCHASE A RECLINER/LIFT CHAIR FROM LA-Z-BOY!

It is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in. My hips and back hurt when I get out of it! Difficult to reach and pull up on the recliner handle! Doesn't seem to have 'padding' in the right areas - my head is pushed forward and where my back is, sinks inward! The only good thing I can say about it is - pretty color! And color does not come above comfort! So sorry I purchased this chair - a total waste of money and so disappointing! Don't know what I am going to do with it other than call it my "better watch what you wish for" chair! (two receipts attached (second one was too light to read) because the chair I originally ordered was sold so I had to pick a different style LaZ Boy and they charged me more.... to be uncomfortable in!!!)

I've been a lifelong purchaser of La-Z-Boy furniture. Couches, Recliners, Reclining couches.... many purchases, many times. 30 months ago, I decided to leave my old La-Z-Boy furniture in Michigan at my northern home and buy (4) new couches and a recliner for our Florida home. La-Z-Boy no longer makes their products out of solid wood. They use sheet particle board, the frames are made of soft pine and the fiber they use as stuffing doesn't hold form after a couple of months of use.

Too many critical parts of the reclining mechanisms are also made of plastic. Most of the mechanism is metal, however the plastic breaks and I am paying the price after minimal use. In one of my reclining couches, I'm on my 3rd service call for failed parts, and come to find out when they say limited warranty, they mean LIMITED warranty! Mind you, we are only here half the time. We are in Michigan 50% of the time, so this furniture has minimal use, 15 months worth. It all creaks, doesn't hold form, frame is warping and now isn't functional, unless I want to shell out 200.00 for a third service call.

I always bought La-Z-Boy because it's an American brand. Unfortunately, the parts are all from the cheapest bidder in China and the quality has gone right in the toilet. Do your homework. This mistake cost me $8000.00. I'm done with La-Z-Boy. I feel like I got taken to the cleaners and I can get better quality furniture at IKEA.

On 12/20/21, I purchased a new La-Z-Boy rocker recliner swivel chair but have yet to take possession of it. After purchasing it, a good friend warned me that their quality is definitely not what it used to be, which alarmed me. Since the early ‘90s, I've always had La-Z-Boy chairs – and they have always held up great -- so I did some research and found ConsumerAffairs.com. On this website, they had LOTS of complaints about the leather peeling/cracking issues and the lack of response to requests from La-Z-Boy Customer Assistance. The site also discusses the big difference between ANALINE and BONDED leather. Bonded leather is parts of shredded and bits of leather basically glued together with a polyurethane coating.

As to problems with La-Z-Boy’s Customer Service, this may be helpful which I found on Google, “La-Z-Boy has temporarily closed its U.S. manufacturing facilities, effective immediately, to be re-evaluated on April 13, 2020. This does affect its Newton operation. The temporary closure of all company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® stores is in process, with 130 of 155 stores currently closed. Mar 30, 2020.” But other websites said there are still some US La-Z-Boy manufacturers, so it was confusing. I put three stars because I've not yet had any problem but I'm going to hopefully find other chairs that rock/recline/swivel as options. I hope this has been helpful. And thanks for the comments as to the extended warranty not being honored; I won't buy one.

La-Z-Boy chairs were my go-to choice for years. I was always pleased with the comfort and quality of the La-Z-Boy Chairs so a lift-chair from La-Z-Boy was my go-to-choice in July of 2017 just prior to knee replacement surgery. The $2000 512 PINNACLE from the POWERLIFT PLATINUM SERIES purchased from Brookfield CT store, worked well during my recovery (I often slept in the chair, relying on it so much!) and up until early May 2020. I reported the problem with the footrest (making chair nearly useless) then and learned that, in order to get repair, I had to pay $150 in advance for service or no one would be available. I paid and had to wait.,broken chair out of use..until June 30, 2020 (more than six weeks) for resolution. Fine.

October 2021. The control for lifting and lowering the chair no longer works. The chair is stuck mid-rise. I had to maneuver out of it most carefully. My daughter was supposed to stay with me while visiting but because the lift chair was broken and would not open or close, there was no place for my daughter sleep. She had to stay elsewhere. My senior apartment is 600 square feet and I do not own a couch. I made the monumental mistake of relying on the “Lifetime guarantee” claimed by La-Z-Boy to work during my daughter’s visit and beyond. La-Z-Boy failed to mention the unreasonable downtime along the way or the fact that there is a charge for repairs that should NEVER have been necessary a mere three years after purchase.

The local store contact behaves indifferently when help for repair is sought. They give you the repair number and nothing else. Repair contact will tell you the cost and the date to expect repair and assure you it can’t be any sooner. La-Z-Boy products were once superior to all others. Not any more. The quality of the product has been so reduced that it requires multiple repairs under the guise of “lifetime guarantee.” Two major repairs in 3+ years is unacceptable and yet..Here I am having to begin AGAIN the frustrating, never ending quest to get my $2,000, 512 PINNACLE POWERLIFT PLATINUM SERIES chair usable again..If possible.

Buyer beware. La-Z-Boy standards have changed significantly in recent years and not, sad to say, for the better.

We haven’t spoken to anyone since the original order, so I called the other day just to touch base and see if there were any updates since we’re almost at the 6 month mark; not to press for a quicker delivery time, not to get a definitive delivery date, but just to see IF there was an update. Every time I’ve called for the past couple of weeks I’m told that no one is available and that “someone will call me back in about 10 minutes.” We still haven’t been able to speak to anyone. I thought maybe if they really are that busy it might be quicker & easier for our salesman Tom to respond if I e-mailed him instead. No response.

Now we’re really getting apprehensive because they are completely ghosting us, they have almost $2,000 of our money and we have no idea if or when we might be getting our order. We understand that things get really busy sometimes, but to cut off all contact with the customer AFTER you get their money is really deplorable customer service. I waited a month and half for someone to come out because I understood with COVID and demand that was the soonest they could get someone out and that was okay, that person then broke the couches even more, didn't even fix them I understood accidents happen and figure La-Z-Boy would fix the problem.

I finally get a hold of customer service in July and they offer warranty of store credit to repurchase. UMMM I never received the item I paid for a working new couch, I received a broken new couch that was then broken even more by their own employee. Then they say I can go a rebuy. At the time they were $900 cheaper (now 5 months later of dealing with this and they are 1200 cheaper) and I was just supposed to be okay with $900+ store credit to use in the store I bought from and nowhere else.

I have all the pieces I want and can fit in my house. They won't refund my money and come just come get them because that it where I am at with this. They say warranty but it can't be a warranty issue if I never received the items I paid for. I paid for a working new couch and have not received that, they won't just reorder the same couches for me. I call and get told we will reach out to the store and call you back and NO ONE EVER CALLS OR EMAILS ME BACK.

Within the first month, I knew it needed repair, but LZB makes the customer take it to their repair center, and as a 100% disabled veteran with major back problems, I had to wait.

Finally got it in the first of July, and after a promise of getting it back in a month, they ghosted me until the end of August. I finally caught up with their company advocate (CSR), and asked for a replacement. She said since I'd had my chair since March 2021, I couldn't get a replacement. She said she didn't know when they would be able to repair my brand new recliner. All of their "leather" was going to new production, and they didn't have a few scraps to fix my chair that they damaged. So here it is 3 months later, and they all act like they don't know me. Escalated all the way to corporate, and they won't respond.

Facebook groups about La-Z-Boy's horrible treatment has literally tens of thousands of unsatisfied customers and their horror stories about this greedy company. I complained to the state attorney who called me right back, and finally had to see an attorney to get this sorted out. Bad company, cheap furniture, questionable leather. They won't special order for you anymore, claiming it can take 6 months or longer, so they talk you into a floor model. That's just one mistake, don't take a floor model because they've been abused. Frankly, don't order anything either because their quality is in the gutter. You can get better quality and prices at BigLots.

The quality of the furniture is horrible. We bought the most expensive “leather“ couch set they had. With full warranty!!! It started cracking within months. We called the store, nada. It’s been years we’ve been contacting them. The manager said he’d handle it as it’s so bad. He came back and said corporate won’t touch it. With warranty on the leather. We have cracking leather couches. And they now say the leather is “faux”! Bought the other most expensive couch they have for our living room, the seat goes in through a mechanical button. It’s automatic, hasn’t been three months and it’s broken, doesn’t go all the way in! We’ve been contacting them since & no one has bothered to come and fix it! The warranty they do not stand behind. Out of close to 45,000 in merchandise we purchased most in broken or cracking and peeling within months!! And they won’t fix or stand by any warranty! Don’t do it! It’s horrendous quality!!

STAY AWAY from these crooks! I'll try to keep my year-long saga brief but purchased a sectional, summer 2020. Paid in full but had to wait nearly six months for "assembly." They have a tiny little store with only a few options to look at and then the "design center" where they get you to spend thousands more on "high-quality fabric" upgrades. (That should have been my first warning sign, product should have at least basic quality to start.) Delivery finally arrives, some guys come out and slap the pieces together like legos. There are immediate STRUCTURAL, QUALITY, PERFORMANCE and DESIGN flaws in the product. We tried to give it a go, but a few weeks later, after the holidays, my wife called the store to address the issues. We immediately started getting the run-around while the salesperson says, "it's a custom piece of furniture" so ** off. So begins days, weeks, months, HOURS of trying to call these people, getting hung up on, told to call someone else, ETC.

The store manager Kenneth ** would not answer or return our calls for weeks, after 100% follow-up being done on our side of things he says there's nothing he can do, "call corporate." Then we got directed to a "district manager" Jonathon. Then we got sent to Julie ** of "escalated concerns" who we were later told no one had ever heard of. My wife was told to call the parts support team, the product support team, and the service center. Mike from service talked down to my wife and told her she didn't understand the product and maybe she should "google it." My wife has an advanced degree and runs a business, she's not an idiot besides the fact that you shouldn't speak condescending and rude to anyone regardless of their education/employment.

I think our favorite was Josh the technician. We had to take time off of work and schedule him to come out THREE TIMES. Josh said he's seen better and he's seen worse (?!) having to revisit all the LA-Z-boy purchases in the area. He told us about the house he was at before ours, where the furious customer picked up the faulty recliner and chucked it across his living room. Now, you might think that customer sounded a little psycho UNTIL YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE money-grubbing, dismissive ** yourself! My wife has been in tears. Negligence and unprofessionalism on their part has continued. She's had to talk to these people while on her job, we've both had to take time off of work, she had to discuss it again while on a recent vacation. We've sent pictures, videos, detailed correspondence and FINALLY someone at corporate escalations offered us..... $250 to keep the product as is.

Btw.. that number is 980-201-3342 so hopefully that will save you 327 hours of chasing, calling and follow-up that we've had to do. Now we have to retain an attorney, call the local news channel or just put it out with the trash and start over with a different company. 10k on a couch with several issues that have not been rectified, rudeness and runaround. Stress, discomfort and months of trying to deal with these people. BUYER BEWARE!

I purchased a high leg recliner summer of 2020, after using it for a couple weeks, the seat was sagging, and that was with minimal use. A technician came out and determined that I needed a new seat., he took pictures of the old seat. La-Z-Boy sent the seat, but nothing with it. I got a new tech out and he replaced it. I showed him additional things that were wrong with the chair. He said none of the items should look like that. I am a return customer for La-Z-Boy, and purchased an identical chair several years ago. It was a beautiful, well made chair, at the same time we purchased another La-Z-Boy recliner, which also held up. We purchased the new chair because of a change in decor and color. The new chair has a hole on one wing, uneven seams and trim front and back. There is a break in binding on the front of one arm, legs were not screwed on tightly, sagging fabric all over now.

I contacted the store manager, who was sympathetic, but couldn't do anything. La-Z-Boy Corporate doesn't care and were very rude. They went on the pictures tech took of seat and said that was normal. I filed a dispute with Synchrony Bank and they found in La-Z-Boy 's favor based on what the company stated. Never looked at my pictures, nor did La-Z-Boy Corporate look at my pictures. I purchased two other chairs at the same time I bought from La-Z-Boy, they have held up with daily use, no sagging, none of the sloppy construction I got from my recliner and they were half the price. I will never purchase from them again, they are not the company they used to be. Their policy is the customer can't be right.

We purchased two new La-Z-Boy chairs when we bought our new town house. We wanted to update our furniture to a newer modern color and so we gave our 20 year old La-Z-Boy Chairs to our grandkids and bought some beautiful red La-Z-Boy Chairs. They are less than 5 years old and we only are here for 6 months of the year. So this deterioration of the material on these chairs is very unsatisfactory and so is their response to this.

To our dismay....the fabric on them seems to be rotting...This is in areas where we never come close to touching....and also along the sides of the back cushion...again nowhere near to anywhere we would touch. Meanwhile the seats and the arms that get all the wear and tear are absolutely fine. No sign of wear at all. I also might mention we do not have pets or kids….and these chairs are never in direct sunlight.

Now their answer to this problem is it must be the way we are getting up out of our chairs....which is absolutely a joke....Our hands come nowhere near to anywhere, that this material is just deteriorating. And because we are past warranty anything done to fix them is at our cost. So when we have people over and we are embarrassed by these shoddy "old" looking chairs....we are quick to explain the lack of quality and also the lack of backing up this product by the local La-Z-Boy Store.

Recliner Sofa is one year old and is falling apart. Apparently the only thing the warranty covers is the mechanism that makes it recline. My seat cushion has collapsed and the once fluffy but firm backrest is sagging. When I called La-Z-Boy they sent a service provider from out of state to inspect it and I had to pay that fee up front. I had to buy new seat foam because I was told that it’s not under warranty and the technician had to come back to install and I had to pay an additional fee for that to happen. I’ve owned La-Z-Boy furniture before that served us well but I think they are riding the reputation they built in the past. Poor quality is what I see now. Needless to say but I won’t buy from them again.

I purchased the sectional in a La-Z-Boy retail store. 13 months later the fabric had pilled, sections wouldn't stay clipped together, and the frame snapped. I am just one average size person and the couch doesn't get used in any manner outside of lounging to watch television. The very expensive insurance that I prepaid for would not cover what they consider normal wear and tear. Of course it was then considered out of warranty so I would need to pay $150 per hour for a technician to come take a look at the sofa. That is just for the initial inspection, then they would need to order parts that I'd have to pay for including a $13.99 shipping fee.

On top of that I'd have to pay $150 per hour for the technician to come back and do the actual repairs. The initial call into the support center to begin this process was in May and I am still waiting in the middle of April for an appointment to be scheduled for the second technician to come out and do the repairs. I understand that times are different during the pandemic but I'm 4 months without 1/2 of a couch and the customer service has been terrible. I shouldn't have to foot the bill to fix a defective piece of furniture that I paid a large sum of money for. I no longer consider La-Z-Boy to be of good quality and I would never recommend the brand to a friend or family. It was a waste of my money to purchase this sofa and now they're wasting my time as well.

I went to the Asheville store on May 24th wanting to buy c colorful sofa. The website showed several in stock on the website with the style and colors we wanted. We went in and was told that due to Covid and shortages, nothing was in stock. We didn't know but wasn't "shocked" as it's the new reality. We asked what was the earliest they would have and in what style/color. They had one coming in July and while it wasn't what we wanted but since this is happening everywhere, we went ahead and accepted it. We weren't allowed to make any changes as it would delay it till next year. So we bought it "as is". I got their store credit card and signed and received my copy. We were reassured there was 4 coming in July and one of them was ours.

I called this week (6/17/21) for an update if they had any idea of beginning or end of July only to be told it's now November. This wasn't acceptable to us and we went in person to request a refund. That's when the store manager all of sudden did a 360 and was like no refunds allowed as this was a special order. What? We did NOT order this "special" and there are no customizations. He went on to say that the 4 sofas just got delayed and that it will be November. We asked to speak to someone higher. I also reread our paperwork and nowhere did it state it was a "special" order.

He gave us an email (**) and that person never responded. I went through the corporate customer service to be told that Asheville isn't part of their corporation and that it's privately owned and gave me a number. I called THAT number and you can't get through to anyone and when I tried to "search" any orders with my phone number, it states not found. There's no way to get anyone live. I found their website and sent a message. I got a response back from an Alexandra with merely a copy of my sales receipt which looked very different from what I have.

I am beyond livid at their deceptive practices and want to cancel this. I was also told that my store credit card was not going to be charged till delivery. Well guess what? It was charged in May. When I found out this initially, I didn't mind making payments thinking it will be here soon enough in July. So I want to cancel this sofa and my store card refunded. Here's to hoping I can. I will update this review if I get any resolution, negative or positive.

I have been doing business with La-Z-Boy for decades and have been happy with the furniture. Lately I spent approximately $2500+ on rocker recliner and sofa. I called 3 days after delivery to complain that seams don’t line up with the creases in the chair making it feel like I’m sitting on ropes and the sofa is hard as a rock and there was hardly any cushioning in both pieces making it painful to sit on after just a few minutes. The manager rudely says they will exchange for a 30% restock fee and they would have to come and get the furniture I have now and wait months for new furniture. That means sitting on the floor for months.

I'm 63 years old and that would be impossible for me to do. I shouldn’t have to pay a restock fee when they sold me garbage and I started complaining before the 2 week refund and exchange time limit was up. In fact they didn’t get back in touch with me until 1 day after the time limit even though I called several times in those 2 weeks. I believe they did that on purchase because they want me to pay the fee.

Concerning the chair, both arms had to be replaced and had to have the back stuffed with polyfill. Then a piece of the base broke. They sent a tech to replace the base but all he did was glue the broken piece. Now it's making the same racket it did before it was glued. They don’t care about the customer once they have your money. They will also talk down to you like you’re 10. I have read thousands of people have had problems with their furniture to that La-Z-Boy won’t do anything about it. They keep giving me the runaround after complaining for almost a year. I’m going to talk to a lawyer about filing a class action lawsuit since thousands of people have had unresolved problems according to many reviews I have read. Buyer beware!

Our sales rep Amy said that the current production time was 26 weeks and that we would get our couch by the first week of August at the latest. We understood and decided to move forward with it. I called Friday May 28 to check in and they told me the order was "acknowledged" by the warehouse so it should be coming soon.

I called back in on Monday to see if there was a possibility it would be here at the end of the month before our company comes, and the sales rep that looked up my order said my new ETA was Dec 9. I spoke with Donna, one of the managers and she was unhelpful and told me to call back to speak with Michael **, the store manager. I just got off the phone with him and he was super rude, flat out told me he couldn't help me any further than what was on the computer, that he could not call to get an updated ETA, that he could not see where in the production process it was, that the Dec 9 date was the delivery date to them, not to me so it would probably be the beginning of January 2022 (Almost a year after purchase) and that if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay a 50% restocking fee, even though they haven't started making my couch yet!!!

I understand that the pandemic has caused delays in shipping and production times, but 11 months is pretty ridiculous and then telling the customer that it isn't their problem and that the contract says it can't guarantee anything and if they wanted to cancel they would have to pay $1500 to restock a couch that hasn't even been made yet is horrible. I asked for the store owners information and Michael hung up on me. In Sept. 2019 I bought a very expensive, electric La-Z-Boy recliner. Since it only had a one year warranty on the chair and 3 years on electrical, and since it was the most expensive recliner I've ever purchased, I purchased what the sales lady told me was an extended warranty. She told me, and she was assisted by another associate, that this would cover the chair entirely against anything that would happen to it for several years. It didn't matter if I spilled something on the fabric that stained it or if someone kicked an arm and it fell off by accident, it was covered. Well last week the headrest stopped working, I don't know why, one minute it worked, the next it didn't. I called the store in Metairie, LA where I purchased it and was immediately sent to service, I was OK with that.

The woman in service tells me that my electrical is under warranty but not the rest of the chair other than the "accidental" policy I purchased with the chair, I asked her to explain, she said that it's not exactly a warranty, it's more of an insurance policy for accidents, that it doesn't cover broken or worn out parts. I disagreed based on the verbal commitment from the sales person and her associate, as well as the man who rung up the sale, this is not unusual as I found out, they're the same as car salesmen, just make the sale, screw the customer. I was directed to an online company that handles the "accidental" coverage, who then had me fill out a service request form which had to include several pictures of the chair, which I did. I was told by the service dept. at La-Z-Boy that it takes that company from a few days, to a few weeks, to contact them and either approve the warranty repairs, or decline them.

Yes it is true that we did not read the small print on the warranty page they gave us, we were stupid enough to take their words as an agreement, we're actually a little too old to read and understand all of that small print. So here I am with a $1800.00 piece of beautifully upholstered furniture that doesn't work! Beware of what you think you bought from them and sit down, with them, in the store and go over that "warranty" page that they live by, please don't assume that their sales people will be telling you the truth.

We've purchased a lot of La-Z-Boy furniture through the years, including the current multi-recliner sofa and multi recliner love seat that are currently in our living room, but won't be once we get an ad up in Facebook Marketplace. As a matter of fact, there will never be another La-Z-Boy product in our home. Oh, La-Z-Boy service dept. tells me they'll be glad to come out and look at it for me, for $250.00! I told then what they can kiss for me.

I purchased furniture in October 2020 and was told originally it would be delivered mid- February 2021. Mid-January 2021 I receive an update changing delivery date from February to May 27th. I have tried reaching out to La-Z-Boy by calling corporate and sending an email to the heads of the company with no response at all. This is the email I sent to three of the cooperate executives, again with no response:

I am reaching out to you to try to resolve some issues that I have had with your Frisco, Texas store. First I would like to say not only have I experienced racism, unprofessional behavior, and downright disrespect. But the manager of the store, Sheriann called the police on me just because I wanted an update on my furniture delivery date. Even after Sheriann called the police on me and told the 911 operator that a ** person was in her store threatening her employees, I still tried to work with Sheriann. I waited for the police, and talked to them when they arrived. They asked for the district manager to contact me and they told the police that the district manager does not call or talk to customers. Police gave me advice to civil sue La-z-boy. However, trying to maintain some diplomacy I had my husband call to get an update on furniture that is costing us almost $6000 for 3 pieces today.

My husband was told that they will not communicate with him or myself no longer over the phone or face-to-face. Sheriann and no one else in the store would give my husband an update, instead they made my husband send an email, which took them over 1 hour to respond. Even today over the phone they were disrespectful and rude to both my husband and I. I am sending this email, in hopes of getting to the bottom of this issue. Please read all emails and tell me why would my family be treated so poorly? I hope to hear from one of you soon before taking further action. I thank you for your time on this most sensitive problem.

Purchased a recliner couch 2 years ago. We added the extra padding and was told it was covered for 3 years. We specifically asked about the fabric and was told it was included. After two years the fabric on the recliner portion seat started to separate. We called and they told us it was only covered for 1 year. You would expect a purchase of this purported quality and expense would last longer than 2 years. Our kids are grown and we decided to purchase a higher quality couch. We could buy 4 or 5 of the cheaper couches for the same price and throw them out every couple of years and would have saved money.

I filed a complaint, submitted pictures yet I was told I would not get a refund. In addition, the chair was sold as "an upgraded leather". I have had 2 industry experts come to my home and attest the leather is defective and there is shoddy workmanship. We spent over $7,000 on this order number and I am tired of getting jacked around.

The sales people at the Tyler, Texas store have the attitude of it will get here when it gets here and of course no one knows anything. I was told there is an estimated ship date but it "really doesn't mean anything." They don't seem to understand the concept of a contract. I understand the COVID virus has caused problems with their New York manufacturing facility but they still need to honor their advertising and contracts.

POOR quality. Have had the company come out and service it only to find it needs repair and told that the quality is not good by employee of LaZBoy!!! I am sending this on behalf of my mother who is 81 years old. She bought this chair on her birthday for herself and was complaining it was itchy and her feet hung off the end causing her feet to fall asleep creating a problem when she went to get up. We moved it to the garage and covered it and brought her old La-Z-Boy chair back out. She had to travel to Houston for a month for personal reasons and upon return we called the sales person and requested an exchange for a larger leather recliner. We were told about the 10 day policy at that time, but the salesperson would talk to her Manager and get back with us, which we never heard back from her.

My mother is very disappointed due to the fact this is her 3rd recliner she has purchased from this company and has always been extremely happy. We would like to exchange the chair for a larger leather chair if possible. I have included photos of the chair we want to exchange, it is in excellent condition and would really appreciate an accommodation for my mom. Thank you for your time.

The only problem with the chair is the piping. It is rotten and defective and it flakes off when you touch it, therefore the seam comes apart. It is mainly on the back of the chair. Your company and the store have said I can have a new back if I pay $210 plus shipping in US dollars, Then I was offered $100 off a new chair. The owner of the store thinks it is very odd and not seen this before. Come on LB, just fix the problem.

If I could give this company and this product 0 stars, I would. 5 years ago, my husband and I purchased a $4,000.00 Bonded Leather sectional sofa. We were told, on the sales floor, that this product had a lifetime warranty with the exceptions of "jaws and claws." The price was steep, but we paid it for that kind of guarantee. When we got our sofa, we were taking it out of the boxes, and there was a part with some of the leather coming off. We called the store, expressing our concerns about the material. We told them that if this is typical, we will just stop unboxing it, bring it back and exchange it for a different material. We were ASSURED that, No, this is a issue with how they packaged that part, and that we had nothing to fear as we had our lifetime warranty on the material should this happen down the road.

Well, last year in October, I noticed that in certain places, where the material is stretched over the wood, it was separating, I contacted customer service, took pictures, and didnt get a response until March, AFTER I wrote them to check on the status of my claim. I was told that we only had a 1 year warranty on the material. Which is not what we were told on the sales floor, and not what we were told when we unboxed our sectional. I explained this to La-Z-Boy, I told them that the couch is even worse now, that the material is falling to pieces, I sent more pictures, and even called the manager of the store where we purchased it from. The manager told me that the bonded leather material is no longer being used because this problem happens all the time. That he would contact corporate as well and try to get this resolved.

I just heard back today and they told me that since we have had the couch 5 years and we are past our warranty, and the fact that they no longer have that material available, there is nothing they can do but offer me a $600 credit. I dont have young kids, we hardly sit on the couch at all, and it fell apart in less than 5 years. It's getting worse by the day. I know that to some people $4,000 is a drop in the bucket, but to my family, that is a huge investment to make on anything, especially something that falls apart in 5 years. This company is aware of their defective product, so much so they stopped using it and instead of letting customers know, or letting customers who purchased this product, find something else comparable, they tell me, "Sorry for selling you a defective product for $4,000, here's a $600 credit."

This is terrible customer service. We were lied to, twice, Once to make a sale, and another to avoid the hassle of a return. Now we are stuck with a couch that falls to pieces when you touch it. Im sure La-Z-Boy wont miss my business, nor any of my friends and family who have vowed to never shop there again after this, I just hope someone sees this and shops elsewhere for their furniture.

I bought a recliner from La-Z-Boy for use post surgery. Since I would be staying at a friend's home, the chair was delivered to their home. The chair was to stay in their home as a 'thanks' when I returned to my own home. It was delivered and set up in a spare bedroom where no one else would be using it about 2 weeks prior. I went to their home the night before surgery to drop off things I would need after getting out of the hospital. The chair had not been used since the setup-delivery. I sat in the chair and had a hard time getting the footrest up.

Once up, it was hard to get down and made a loud noise while pitching me forward. My friend has called 'customer service' numerous times, and spent several hours on hold, but no one picks up. She went to the Schaumburg, IL store where we purchased the chair, and didn't seem to get anywhere either. The model in the showroom worked beautifully, but the chair we received appears to be junk. Almost feels like 'bait and switch'. The fabric was discontinued so they gave us a deal. Now they are giving us a problem because they said it was a clearance. La-Z-Boy used to be known for fine furniture. I could have ordered from a different company and had a better experience.

I was in the market for a leather couch and 2 matching recliners and wanted to be sure I got good quality so I went to La-Z-Boy. After talking to the sales rep and looking a different options I choose a set that I thought would last a long time. I guess just like buying a diamond ring, you should do your research and ask all the right questions otherwise you get taken, I lesson I learned the hard way. At no time did the salesperson explain to me that the leather furniture wasn't 100% leather, that the tops of the cushions were real top grain leather but the sides of the cushions and chairs were bonded leather (which means pieces of leather scraps and dust glued together).

Over time the bonded leather started to crack and peel. Since I had paid extra for the 5 year leather protection plan I thought this would be covered but no, it only covers spills, stains, rips etc., not peeling bonded leather. I could have spent 1/2 the money I spent on this set at a Value City, Bob's Discount type place and probably had the same results. Buyer Beware and educate yourself and ask the right questions. Since having this problem I have seen many reviews exactly like mine.

We shopped, compared, investigated, and negotiated for months back in 2001 for a new sofa and recliner. We went to several different stores. My husband is very detailed and analytical. He even developed a spread sheet for this process. After several visits and lots of questions we chose a La-Z-Boy sofa and recliner. We determined that based on the fact that the sofa and recliner would get lots of use, we also purchased the limited life-time warranty. We were very happy with our decision and we enjoyed the sofa for many years!

After several years, we had a mechanical malfunction. We called the service department and a technician came out and made the repairs at no-cost. Last year we had a spring that broke, again we called the service department. A technician came out and advised us that it could not be repair and because our model was discontinued it could not be replaced. He said he would have to discuss with his boss what the next steps would be. A couple of weeks later, we received a call letting us know that because we had purchased the warranty, we would receive a full credit and we could use it to buy a new sofa. We were very happy, because I wanted a new sofa. Again, true to form, my husband developed a spread sheet and had lots of question. Of course, the credit did not cover the entire cost of the new sofa that we selected, but it did cover a big part of it. We decided to purchase a new love seat as well.

I have 3 other recliners from Baer's that are not La-Z-Boy that work just fine with little effort. You practically dislocate your shoulder opening this chair. I showed the repairman the Baer's chair and the ease of operation, and the La-Z-Boy chair that I could not open. He was stocky, about 28 year old. Sat in the chair and opened it, proceeded to tell me that it was the 12" pillow's fault and that I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PUSH 2 pounds of pressure that it's my fault. With an attitude.

I disagreed with him, and told him the lever is broken and needs adjustment. He began to argue with me again. I looked at him and said, "It has nothing to do with a 12" pillow. Fix the chair. It's a $1200 chair that can't be opened." With an attitude he took the chair back off, fixed it, Put it back together. I said to him, "Is it fixed?" He purposely ignored me. I was 36" away from him. Again, louder I said, is it fixed. He glared at me and said yes in a very snotty condescending manner. I sat in the chair and I was able to move the lever without too much issue. If I could give 0 on rating this company I would. I bought a living room set in May 2020 as others reviewers the furniture arrived past the due date. When it finally arrived one chair has a stain & its leg wasn't level. The store manager at Sugar Land told me that the protection service that I bought will cover the cleaning process.

From the moment the chair arrived home to the cleaning process 3 months passed: making the ticket for cleaning. Then, they decided that the iClean fabric needed to be replaced, founding the fabric, picking it up, getting in their warehouse, repair and back home. After three months my chair was back from repair, and send it back to repair because they didn’t stitch the arms all the way down. From there, I have to wait 4 more months for them to return the chair. This last time the chair arrived with more stains than before and the fabric is overstretched. These people rarely answer the phone or contact you with any updates on your furniture. I even sent a letter to the corporate members, with not much luck. Stay away from this company.

Don’t believe La-Z-Boy claim: “La-Z-Boy offers high performance iClean™ fabrics with built in stain-resistant technology. This innovative fabric repels spills, keeping your furniture soft and beautiful, while still being easy to clean. Perfect for homes with kids, pets, or just everyday life, the iClean™ fabrics have innovative technology surrounding each fiber, so it creates a barrier of protection to help repel spills before they stain.” THIS STATEMENT IS FALSE.

I keep checking back to see if there is a sale or anything else going on because we did like what we picked out.

Finally the price comes down to $3300. Still $500 more than the lowest price we saw but we really wanted the furniture. So we decide to buy the furniture. I check and make sure everything was right, press check out, use the 0% financing and walla, I am done, or so I think. I get the order confirmation within a minute or two and the dang cloth on the furniture is incorrect!!!! How does this happen???? Needless to say I am beyond livid at this point. I have no idea how this happened or why, but be very careful when dealing with them. Double and triple check everything!

    Updated review: June 13, 2024

The company eventually got back to me and the matter was resolved. The quality of the furniture remains high.

    Original Review: Jan. 13, 2021

Like other reviewers on this site, I am having trouble receiving what I bought as promised. I was told a delivery date of 12-14 weeks when I bought my furniture on 9/4, then an estimated date 15 weeks out was written on the sales order, and here I sit on January 12th with no furniture. When I called locally they gave me the old "COVID and Christmas holiday" song and dance, which were certainly known quantities when I bought the furniture. When I called the national service line I was told one of the items is still "in production" with no delivery date known. This is not customer service. This is not the La Z-Boy I've dealt with in the past. Avoid patronizing this store unless you don't care when you receive what you pay for.

Got this chair in Oct. Bought it in Buford GA because Greenville SC did not carry the color. The recliner is a piece of junk and sits sideways. Sent several emails to customer service without any response! Called La-Z-Boy customer service and they told me to call the Greenville store, They told me $99 to come look at it! Called the Buford store and they told me I had to bring it to them and it would be 3 weeks till they could look at it. Keep in mind this recliner is 2 months old and cost over $1600.00. Maybe the salesperson in Buford should have told me they would not service it or maybe the salesperson in Greenville should not have sent me to GA for the color I wanted. Bottom line is I now have a new $1600.00 chair that I can't use because it sit sideways! Beware of La-Z-Boy. Only thing worse than the chair is their customer service!

I bought my first La-Z-Boy couch in 2003 and was happy with it for 17 years, so I returned in July 2020 when I was looking for new furniture. Wow has the company changed! My wife and I ordered a sectional July 3, 2020 from La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor 495 E Hospitality Ln San Bernardino, CA which was delivered October 10, 2020 with a defective section (no recliner). The section was returned, fixed, then delivered again.

Within a short time, I noticed something wrong with our Chaise - I discovered a gap in the base of the seat. Upon investigating, I found the wood framing was cracked. I called for service, after waiting for very long time, and created a work order. The store which sold the furniture was "very sorry" but did nothing to help me obtain warranty service.

Service was delayed two months until December 10, 2020. The service person noted the defect immediately. He said he would put in for the replacement. Since then no part has arrived, no notice given, and I waited two hours on the phone to attempt to obtain service, to no avail. Warranty service is not worth the paper it's written on. I sought out BBB to make a complaint. Wow! When I viewed the more than 400 complaints to BBB in 2020, I saw that La-Z-Boy no longer cares at all about quality, farms out repairs to a different furniture repair company, leaves customers on hold endlessly (which hiring would fix), delays warranty service for months (which hiring more staff would fix), and pretends to care while disregarding the issues.

The company has changed- resting on laurels, short-term profit, and engaging in these practices because it makes more money, short-term, by understaffing, delaying warranty service, and disregarding complaints. If La-Z-Boy hired staff (they're high unemployment during Covid!) and focused their work, they could address every concern. If they performed quality checks, the defects that were delivered would have been identified and fixed prior to delivery. However, I also discovered another store offering La-Z-Boy furniture who told me they provide direct support for warranty service of product they sell. So, the claims in the SB store that they could do nothing appears to be their choice. I have a choice as well and will be exercising it. You should too!

We had 2 La-Z-Boy reclining sofas for over 10 years. When it came time to replace them, we went back to La-Z-Boy. We are regretting that decision. After just three months, the sofas has to be restuffed. We questioned about the stuffing becoming compressed again, and were told no, the sofas didn't have enough stuffing in them. Twice in the first year, the sofas have had to be restuffed. Now here we are 14 months into two new sofas, and they need stuffing again. Of course, warranty has expired, and we have to pay for that. The sofas are not even paid for yet, and are already uncomfortable to sit on. We are only two adults in the house, so no abuse from children. Never again. I do not recommend their furniture. It is not the quality it once was.

If I could I would give a 0. I have always been a fan of La-Z-Boy furniture. Have a leather recliner that is 20+ years old (used daily) still not showing any wear. I regret I did not check reviews before buying. There are 100’s of dissatisfied customers. La-Z-Boy furniture is not what it use to be. When I was furnishing our winter home I went directly & only to local La-Z-Boy store. The leather faded on headrest within 3 months. I purchased the warranty (which was highly recommended by my salesman). I immediately called the insurance, sent pictures as requested, & was told this was normal wear & tear and they refused to repair or replace. What good leather would the color fade within 3 months.

I called company’s customer service manager & he also stated this was normal wear & tear and refused to repair or replace. After much conversation about my dissatisfaction he offered a replacement at $300+ cost to me. How stupid to think I would spend more money on a piece of junk. I have since paid to have it repaired. The repairman said they repair more La-z-boy furniture than all others. Buyer beware - don’t buy & make the mistake I did.

This was updated to 12/14. That date came and went, not even a phone call from them. Called them last week and they said it was on its way to the warehouse, delayed by snow. Called today and now they say 1/24. 5 months after I purchased it. Absolutely ridiculous and they say if I cancel my order I will have to pay a 30% restock fee. This was purchased so my wife could use it for nursing. The baby is 3 weeks old and will be almost 2 months before it even leaves the factory. No contact at all from the company. Terrible.

My 89 year old mother really wanted a new recliner for Christmas, so on 9/6, we took her to your Pineville NC store. Because of Covid, we wanted her in and out quickly. As soon as she selected the chair, we got her out and finished the transaction with a newer associate.

    1) We were told we could get free delivery, however the associate not only charged us, but charged us for it TWICE. Never resolved.

    2) we were also told chair would be here (by) 12/15. Well, we have not heard one word since you charged my credit card. Soooo....I took it upon myself to call. Called 12/11, 12/12 and today 12/14. After all, 12/15 is almost here. Also went online to try to track. NOTHING. Called again this afternoon, only to find that, “that order” won’t even get to the. Until 1/16.

I find it hard to believe that no one knew that before today. I called your national customer care number, only to be on hold for 40 minutes before giving up on that. Now, I have no gift (that I was told would be here), no resolution, and am out $199.96 for shipping that I was told would be FREE. The only response was, "Oh well, nothing I can do." I think this honestly believe if it happened to you, it wouldn’t be acceptable and you would consider my description of a horrible customer experience, as accurate. I would greatly appreciate a call or email from someone who CAN help me.

La-Z-Boy Currently on hold and waiting for comfort care 33 minutes. I have called several times with no success of getting through. Bought a Recliner for my 90 year old Uncle. It seemed fine at first but he had a hard time opening it and when it closes is like you going to fly out of the chair. We wanted to exchange it but George said that we could not after three days. I should have been aware because when I bought the chair three people came in with complaints about their purchases. It is very stressful because we got rid the 20 year old chair which was much more comfortable. Now he is stressed out every day because of this chair. And really not for nothing for 1000.00 the damn thing should not be so difficult to open and uncomfortable. I am videotaping the call if I ever get through???? 37 minutes....

After all the bad reviews I have read I am so mad at myself. ** complaints. It seems their product standards and material and customer service from my experience so far is not good. On hold now for 40 minutes trying to get an appointment. Still On hold 52 minutes. Answered after 1 hour. I have an appointment. Let's see what happens. The customer service at the store level was good. However the customer service on the phone is not good due to the long waiting time. And the product quality so far seems far less than what you would expect from this national brand. Comfort care arrived, said nothing is wrong with the chair. It is made bad. Anyone agree. If I paid 200 for it, it would be a different story. I want my money back.

If your call lines are that busy, maybe hire more people (there are people anxious for work right now) or at least install a "leave your info and we'll get back to you A.S.A.P" message system. On 10/25/20 I purchased a couch, love seat, two pillows, table and 4 chairs from La-Z-Boy in North Charleston, SC. I was told by the sales representative that the items were in the warehouse and would be delivered before Thanksgiving, and if I did not like anything, they could be returned within 7 days for a full refund. I called near Thanksgiving to schedule delivery and was told by the sales representative that the items would be delivered to the warehouse on November 30 (contradicting earlier statement that the items were already in the warehouse).

Since I again had not heard from La-Z-Boy, I called on 12/7, and was told the items would be in the warehouse in early January. (The sales manager never initiated a call updating the delivery dates.) After being delayed, and lied to multiple times, I decided to look around for replacement items. When I asked for a refund, the sales representative told me I could not get the refund until 16 weeks after we bought the items, but that I would get the refund. I asked for this in writing and was sent to the manager.

The manager told me I could only get the refund if the items were not delivered to the warehouse by the 16 week timeframe. At this time I asked to talk with the corporate office. I was referred to Michael in Customer Service, who was bullying, condescending, and sexist, stating that I was not “popular” enough (his word!). When I called the sales manager to discuss this, he refused to take my call and has not called back. So, no furniture, no refund, no respect and extremely poor customer service.

The week before Thanksgiving, I had not heard anything from the store, company or sales rep. I called and they told me the corner piece is back ordered. It would be in early December. I just call again and now told it will be scheduled for delivery December 24th!!

When I have called the store in the past, to try and get information, the sales people were not helpful. They provided me wrong measurement of the section not once, not twice but 3 times. I had to go to the Company website to get the correct measurements. Considering the price of their furniture, you would expect knowledgeable employees and get customer service. I wonder when I would get my furniture if I did not call. Probably not until after the 1st of the year. I will never purchase anything from La-Z Boy again.
