Manager call you. He never did so I called back and the same guy I left the message with said he talked to the manager and he said he was going to call me! He got another shift manager on the phone who said it never got ordered and do I want to reorder it? Now I know why the store manager didn't want to call me back! I now have a call into the Corp office so we shall see what happens, but I see they live up to their name! Also I've tried to contact the Corp office to get my money back and no one answers the phone! Do not buy from this company or you will regret it!

We bought a sectional sofa from La-z-boy in 2019 and I’m ready to replace it. My seat is so uncomfortable. It feels like I’m sitting on wood. I expected to get 5 years from the sofa. I would not recommend.

The worst. We paid a substantial deposit to get a sleeper sofa with a high end fabric. They assured us at the time they would be able to deliver it up our stairs. Six months later when it was finally available, the delivery people refused to take it up the stairs. After almost a week trying to get anywhere, we finally got a manager who told us we would not get our $700 deposit back. We pointed out they could resell the sofa, but they actually came out and said it would be a lower profit margin, hence keeping our deposit to make up for the “loss.” They kept talking about customer service, but it’s really just about getting our dollars. Never ever again.

I bought a recliner chair with painted wood arms. The paint on the arms started peeling after two months. I reported it to La-Z-Boy and they told me that this is caused by wear and tear, possibly because I wear a watch. Paint on the chair arms peels easily and LA-Z-Boy will not stand behind it. They will find every excuse possible to get out of their warranty responsibility.

We live in Georgia and have had the most horrible customer service and quality experience. We bought two electric recliners last year and both have had severe problems. One of them still has not been fixed and so broken that we can't use it. The local store has changed employees and not returned our calls. Several employees told me that 2020 was a banner year for sales for La-z-boy so I'm assuming that customer service tanked during this time. My husband asks them if we could exchange the electric for a manual and they were very quick to inform us that this would not happen. If anyone has had any success with the corporate office please message me.

Couch looks terrible. Did not last 1 year. Customer service refused to come out! Said padding sliding back is not under warranty. Our last couch (Lane) lasted over 20 years. I have purchased 2 recliners, 2 sofa sleepers and this large sectional. WHAT A TOTAL waste of money. Will be my last purchase and I am sure to tell everyone that comes over that this sectional is a La-Z-Boy and they can see for themselves how bad the quality is!

I went to the Asheville store on May 24th wanting to buy c colorful sofa. The website showed several in stock on the website with the style and colors we wanted. We went in and was told that due to Covid and shortages, nothing was in stock. We didn't know but wasn't "shocked" as it's the new reality. We asked what was the earliest they would have and in what style/color. They had one coming in July and while it wasn't what we wanted but since this is happening everywhere, we went ahead and accepted it. We weren't allowed to make any changes as it would delay it till next year. So we bought it "as is". I got their store credit card and signed and received my copy. We were reassured there was 4 coming in July and one of them was ours.
I called this week (6/17/21) for an update if they had any idea of beginning or end of July only to be told it's now November. This wasn't acceptable to us and we went in person to request a refund. That's when the store manager all of sudden did a 360 and was like no refunds allowed as this was a special order. What? We did NOT order this "special" and there are no customizations. He went on to say that the 4 sofas just got delayed and that it will be November. We asked to speak to someone higher. I also reread our paperwork and nowhere did it state it was a "special" order.
He gave us an email (**) and that person never responded. I went through the corporate customer service to be told that Asheville isn't part of their corporation and that it's privately owned and gave me a number. I called THAT number and you can't get through to anyone and when I tried to "search" any orders with my phone number, it states not found. There's no way to get anyone live. I found their website and sent a message. I got a response back from an Alexandra with merely a copy of my sales receipt which looked very different from what I have.
I am beyond livid at their deceptive practices and want to cancel this. I was also told that my store credit card was not going to be charged till delivery. Well guess what? It was charged in May. When I found out this initially, I didn't mind making payments thinking it will be here soon enough in July. So I want to cancel this sofa and my store card refunded. Here's to hoping I can. I will update this review if I get any resolution, negative or positive.

I have been doing business with La-Z-Boy for decades and have been happy with the furniture. Lately I spent approximately $2500+ on rocker recliner and sofa. I called 3 days after delivery to complain that seams don’t line up with the creases in the chair making it feel like I’m sitting on ropes and the sofa is hard as a rock and there was hardly any cushioning in both pieces making it painful to sit on after just a few minutes. The manager rudely says they will exchange for a 30% restock fee and they would have to come and get the furniture I have now and wait months for new furniture. That means sitting on the floor for months.
I'm 63 years old and that would be impossible for me to do. I shouldn’t have to pay a restock fee when they sold me garbage and I started complaining before the 2 week refund and exchange time limit was up. In fact they didn’t get back in touch with me until 1 day after the time limit even though I called several times in those 2 weeks. I believe they did that on purchase because they want me to pay the fee.
Concerning the chair, both arms had to be replaced and had to have the back stuffed with polyfill. Then a piece of the base broke. They sent a tech to replace the base but all he did was glue the broken piece. Now it's making the same racket it did before it was glued. They don’t care about the customer once they have your money. They will also talk down to you like you’re 10. I have read thousands of people have had problems with their furniture to that La-Z-Boy won’t do anything about it. They keep giving me the runaround after complaining for almost a year. I’m going to talk to a lawyer about filing a class action lawsuit since thousands of people have had unresolved problems according to many reviews I have read. Buyer beware!

We ordered our couch back in November 2020 and it was pushed back to January 2021 due to a lost piece. None of the other pieces were delivered by the way. We finally got conformation that the piece had been restored and that it would be delivered this June. The delivery guys came but only with one piece of the couch. I have been trying to reach their customer support which doesn't seem to exist because no one's returned any of my calls for the last 2 hours. This is horrible customer service and I demand that someone get back to me immediately!!!

My father, who is 95, a veteran, blind and lives on social security, purchased a chair during the Memorial Day sale. When it was delivered, he said it just didn't feel right (he's had the same now ragged chair for 20 years.) I called within hours of delivery that Saturday to return, and was told they would take care of the return on Tuesday as they were "very busy during the sale." After not hearing from anyone from the store, I finally called them on Wednesday. The salesperson informed they would be charging my father a 30% restocking fee. Is that legal? Yes. Is that morally right? No. Hope you're happy about making a profit on my poor father. This family and anyone else we know will never darken the door of a LaZboy Furniture Gallery again.

We have been a La-Z-Boy customer for 8 years. We have purchased a reclining couch and 2 chairs from them. We came into The Woodlands TX location 2/13/2021 to purchase a new reclining couch because our previous one was getting some rips. Our sales rep Amy said that the current production time was 26 weeks and that we would get our couch by the first week of August at the latest. We understood and decided to move forward with it. We have company coming into town on July 1 and the rips on our couch have gotten bigger. I called to get an updated ETA and was told they didn't have any info but to keep checking back every couple of weeks. I called Friday May 28 to check in and they told me the order was "acknowledged" by the warehouse so it should be coming soon.
I called back in on Monday to see if there was a possibility it would be here at the end of the month before our company comes, and the sales rep that looked up my order said my new ETA was Dec 9. I spoke with Donna, one of the managers and she was unhelpful and told me to call back to speak with Michael **, the store manager. I just got off the phone with him and he was super rude, flat out told me he couldn't help me any further than what was on the computer, that he could not call to get an updated ETA, that he could not see where in the production process it was, that the Dec 9 date was the delivery date to them, not to me so it would probably be the beginning of January 2022 (Almost a year after purchase) and that if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay a 50% restocking fee, even though they haven't started making my couch yet!!!
I understand that the pandemic has caused delays in shipping and production times, but 11 months is pretty ridiculous and then telling the customer that it isn't their problem and that the contract says it can't guarantee anything and if they wanted to cancel they would have to pay $1500 to restock a couch that hasn't even been made yet is horrible. I asked for the store owners information and Michael hung up on me. So if this situation does not get resolved La-Z-Boy will lose a customer for life, which is a legit statement considering that we only will purchase La-Z-Boys.

In Sept. 2019 I bought a very expensive, electric La-Z-Boy recliner. Since it only had a one year warranty on the chair and 3 years on electrical, and since it was the most expensive recliner I've ever purchased, I purchased what the sales lady told me was an extended warranty. She told me, and she was assisted by another associate, that this would cover the chair entirely against anything that would happen to it for several years. It didn't matter if I spilled something on the fabric that stained it or if someone kicked an arm and it fell off by accident, it was covered. Well last week the headrest stopped working, I don't know why, one minute it worked, the next it didn't. I called the store in Metairie, LA where I purchased it and was immediately sent to service, I was OK with that.
The woman in service tells me that my electrical is under warranty but not the rest of the chair other than the "accidental" policy I purchased with the chair, I asked her to explain, she said that it's not exactly a warranty, it's more of an insurance policy for accidents, that it doesn't cover broken or worn out parts. I disagreed based on the verbal commitment from the sales person and her associate, as well as the man who rung up the sale, this is not unusual as I found out, they're the same as car salesmen, just make the sale, screw the customer. I was directed to an online company that handles the "accidental" coverage, who then had me fill out a service request form which had to include several pictures of the chair, which I did. I was told by the service dept. at La-Z-Boy that it takes that company from a few days, to a few weeks, to contact them and either approve the warranty repairs, or decline them.
Yes it is true that we did not read the small print on the warranty page they gave us, we were stupid enough to take their words as an agreement, we're actually a little too old to read and understand all of that small print. So here I am with a $1800.00 piece of beautifully upholstered furniture that doesn't work! Beware of what you think you bought from them and sit down, with them, in the store and go over that "warranty" page that they live by, please don't assume that their sales people will be telling you the truth.
We've purchased a lot of La-Z-Boy furniture through the years, including the current multi-recliner sofa and multi recliner love seat that are currently in our living room, but won't be once we get an ad up in Facebook Marketplace. As a matter of fact, there will never be another La-Z-Boy product in our home. Oh, La-Z-Boy service dept. tells me they'll be glad to come out and look at it for me, for $250.00! I told then what they can kiss for me.

I purchased furniture in October 2020 and was told originally it would be delivered mid- February 2021. Mid-January 2021 I receive an update changing delivery date from February to May 27th. I have tried reaching out to La-Z-Boy by calling corporate and sending an email to the heads of the company with no response at all. This is the email I sent to three of the cooperate executives, again with no response:
I am reaching out to you to try to resolve some issues that I have had with your Frisco, Texas store. First I would like to say not only have I experienced racism, unprofessional behavior, and downright disrespect. But the manager of the store, Sheriann called the police on me just because I wanted an update on my furniture delivery date. Even after Sheriann called the police on me and told the 911 operator that a ** person was in her store threatening her employees, I still tried to work with Sheriann. I waited for the police, and talked to them when they arrived. They asked for the district manager to contact me and they told the police that the district manager does not call or talk to customers. Police gave me advice to civil sue La-z-boy. However, trying to maintain some diplomacy I had my husband call to get an update on furniture that is costing us almost $6000 for 3 pieces today.
My husband was told that they will not communicate with him or myself no longer over the phone or face-to-face. Sheriann and no one else in the store would give my husband an update, instead they made my husband send an email, which took them over 1 hour to respond. Even today over the phone they were disrespectful and rude to both my husband and I. I am sending this email, in hopes of getting to the bottom of this issue. Please read all emails and tell me why would my family be treated so poorly? I hope to hear from one of you soon before taking further action. I thank you for your time on this most sensitive problem.

Purchased a recliner couch 2 years ago. We added the extra padding and was told it was covered for 3 years. We specifically asked about the fabric and was told it was included. After two years the fabric on the recliner portion seat started to separate. We called and they told us it was only covered for 1 year. You would expect a purchase of this purported quality and expense would last longer than 2 years. Our kids are grown and we decided to purchase a higher quality couch. We could buy 4 or 5 of the cheaper couches for the same price and throw them out every couple of years and would have saved money.

I had tried to get La-Z-Boy to do the right thing for weeks. Your Alpharetta store sold us a $2500 recliner that has become discolored at the head. I filed a complaint, submitted pictures yet I was told I would not get a refund. In addition, the chair was sold as "an upgraded leather". I purchased a high end recliner in late October, 2020. At the time Laz-Z-Boy was advertising 3-4 month delivery. It is now May and still no recliner. The sales people at the Tyler, Texas store have the attitude of it will get here when it gets here and of course no one knows anything. I was told there is an estimated ship date but it "really doesn't mean anything." They don't seem to understand the concept of a contract. I understand the COVID virus has caused problems with their New York manufacturing facility but they still need to honor their advertising and contracts.

I am sending this on behalf of my mother who is 81 years old. She bought this chair on her birthday for herself and was complaining it was itchy and her feet hung off the end causing her feet to fall asleep creating a problem when she went to get up. We moved it to the garage and covered it and brought her old La-Z-Boy chair back out. She had to travel to Houston for a month for personal reasons and upon return we called the sales person and requested an exchange for a larger leather recliner. We were told about the 10 day policy at that time, but the salesperson would talk to her Manager and get back with us, which we never heard back from her.
My mother is very disappointed due to the fact this is her 3rd recliner she has purchased from this company and has always been extremely happy. We would like to exchange the chair for a larger leather chair if possible. I have included photos of the chair we want to exchange, it is in excellent condition and would really appreciate an accommodation for my mom. Thank you for your time.

The only problem with the chair is the piping. It is rotten and defective and it flakes off when you touch it, therefore the seam comes apart. It is mainly on the back of the chair. Your company and the store have said I can have a new back if I pay $210 plus shipping in US dollars, Then I was offered $100 off a new chair. The owner of the store thinks it is very odd and not seen this before. Come on LB, just fix the problem.

If I could give this company and this product 0 stars, I would. 5 years ago, my husband and I purchased a $4,000.00 Bonded Leather sectional sofa. We were told, on the sales floor, that this product had a lifetime warranty with the exceptions of "jaws and claws." The price was steep, but we paid it for that kind of guarantee. When we got our sofa, we were taking it out of the boxes, and there was a part with some of the leather coming off. We called the store, expressing our concerns about the material. We told them that if this is typical, we will just stop unboxing it, bring it back and exchange it for a different material. We were ASSURED that, No, this is a issue with how they packaged that part, and that we had nothing to fear as we had our lifetime warranty on the material should this happen down the road.
Well, last year in October, I noticed that in certain places, where the material is stretched over the wood, it was separating, I contacted customer service, took pictures, and didnt get a response until March, AFTER I wrote them to check on the status of my claim. I was told that we only had a 1 year warranty on the material. Which is not what we were told on the sales floor, and not what we were told when we unboxed our sectional. I explained this to La-Z-Boy, I told them that the couch is even worse now, that the material is falling to pieces, I sent more pictures, and even called the manager of the store where we purchased it from. The manager told me that the bonded leather material is no longer being used because this problem happens all the time. That he would contact corporate as well and try to get this resolved.
I just heard back today and they told me that since we have had the couch 5 years and we are past our warranty, and the fact that they no longer have that material available, there is nothing they can do but offer me a $600 credit. I dont have young kids, we hardly sit on the couch at all, and it fell apart in less than 5 years. It's getting worse by the day. I know that to some people $4,000 is a drop in the bucket, but to my family, that is a huge investment to make on anything, especially something that falls apart in 5 years. This company is aware of their defective product, so much so they stopped using it and instead of letting customers know, or letting customers who purchased this product, find something else comparable, they tell me, "Sorry for selling you a defective product for $4,000, here's a $600 credit."
This is terrible customer service. We were lied to, twice, Once to make a sale, and another to avoid the hassle of a return. Now we are stuck with a couch that falls to pieces when you touch it. Im sure La-Z-Boy wont miss my business, nor any of my friends and family who have vowed to never shop there again after this, I just hope someone sees this and shops elsewhere for their furniture.

I bought a recliner from La-Z-Boy for use post surgery. Since I would be staying at a friend's home, the chair was delivered to their home. The chair was to stay in their home as a 'thanks' when I returned to my own home. It was delivered and set up in a spare bedroom where no one else would be using it about 2 weeks prior. I went to their home the night before surgery to drop off things I would need after getting out of the hospital. The chair had not been used since the setup-delivery. I sat in the chair and had a hard time getting the footrest up.
Once up, it was hard to get down and made a loud noise while pitching me forward. My friend has called 'customer service' numerous times, and spent several hours on hold, but no one picks up. She went to the Schaumburg, IL store where we purchased the chair, and didn't seem to get anywhere either. The model in the showroom worked beautifully, but the chair we received appears to be junk. Almost feels like 'bait and switch'. The fabric was discontinued so they gave us a deal. Now they are giving us a problem because they said it was a clearance. I was in the market for a leather couch and 2 matching recliners and wanted to be sure I got good quality so I went to La-Z-Boy. After talking to the sales rep and looking a different options I choose a set that I thought would last a long time. I guess just like buying a diamond ring, you should do your research and ask all the right questions otherwise you get taken, I lesson I learned the hard way. At no time did the salesperson explain to me that the leather furniture wasn't 100% leather, that the tops of the cushions were real top grain leather but the sides of the cushions and chairs were bonded leather (which means pieces of leather scraps and dust glued together).
Over time the bonded leather started to crack and peel. Since I had paid extra for the 5 year leather protection plan I thought this would be covered but no, it only covers spills, stains, rips etc., not peeling bonded leather. I could have spent 1/2 the money I spent on this set at a Value City, Bob's Discount type place and probably had the same results. Buyer Beware and educate yourself and ask the right questions. Since having this problem I have seen many reviews exactly like mine.

We shopped, compared, investigated, and negotiated for months back in 2001 for a new sofa and recliner. We went to several different stores. My husband is very detailed and analytical. He even developed a spread sheet for this process. After several visits and lots of questions we chose a La-Z-Boy sofa and recliner. We determined that based on the fact that the sofa and recliner would get lots of use, we also purchased the limited life-time warranty. We were very happy with our decision and we enjoyed the sofa for many years!
After several years, we had a mechanical malfunction. We called the service department and a technician came out and made the repairs at no-cost. Last year we had a spring that broke, again we called the service department. A technician came out and advised us that it could not be repair and because our model was discontinued it could not be replaced. He said he would have to discuss with his boss what the next steps would be. A couple of weeks later, we received a call letting us know that because we had purchased the warranty, we would receive a full credit and we could use it to buy a new sofa. We were very happy, because I wanted a new sofa. Again, true to form, my husband developed a spread sheet and had lots of question. Of course, the credit did not cover the entire cost of the new sofa that we selected, but it did cover a big part of it. We decided to purchase a new love seat as well.

The chair finally arrived 6 weeks later than promised. The side handle did not work, even remotely. I have 3 other recliners from Baer's that are not La-Z-Boy that work just fine with little effort. You practically dislocate your shoulder opening this chair. I showed the repairman the Baer's chair and the ease of operation, and the La-Z-Boy chair that I could not open. He was stocky, about 28 year old. Sat in the chair and opened it, proceeded to tell me that it was the 12" pillow's fault and that I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PUSH 2 pounds of pressure that it's my fault. With an attitude.
I disagreed with him, and told him the lever is broken and needs adjustment. He began to argue with me again. I looked at him and said, "It has nothing to do with a 12" pillow. Fix the chair. It's a $1200 chair that can't be opened." With an attitude he took the chair back off, fixed it, Put it back together. I said to him, "Is it fixed?" He purposely ignored me. I was 36" away from him. Again, louder I said, is it fixed. He glared at me and said yes in a very snotty condescending manner. I sat in the chair and I was able to move the lever without too much issue. NEVER LA-Z-BOY AGAIN, EVER.

We ordered the Pinnacle Power Rocking Recliner in the oyster covering (02/20/21) The saleslady said "Oh, We just happen to have one in the warehouse." I paid for the chair and my daughter waited a week for delivery. Upon receipt they noticed the chair was dirty and "used" in appearance. It also was missing the power unit. The delivery guys were shocked. Either quality control is lacking at this store or they assumed they could unload a dirty broken chair and we would accept it. I am requesting an immediate credit on my card. I have always received good service in JAX and am very disappointed in the integrity of this store.

If I could give 0 on rating this company I would. I bought a living room set in May 2020 as others reviewers the furniture arrived past the due date. When it finally arrived one chair has a stain & its leg wasn't level. The store manager at Sugar Land told me that the protection service that I bought will cover the cleaning process.
From the moment the chair arrived home to the cleaning process 3 months passed: making the ticket for cleaning. Then, they decided that the iClean fabric needed to be replaced, founding the fabric, picking it up, getting in their warehouse, repair and back home. After three months my chair was back from repair, and send it back to repair because they didn’t stitch the arms all the way down. From there, I have to wait 4 more months for them to return the chair. This last time the chair arrived with more stains than before and the fabric is overstretched. These people rarely answer the phone or contact you with any updates on your furniture. I even sent a letter to the corporate members, with not much luck. Stay away from this company.
Don’t believe La-Z-Boy claim: “La-Z-Boy offers high performance iClean™ fabrics with built in stain-resistant technology. This innovative fabric repels spills, keeping your furniture soft and beautiful, while still being easy to clean. Perfect for homes with kids, pets, or just everyday life, the iClean™ fabrics have innovative technology surrounding each fiber, so it creates a barrier of protection to help repel spills before they stain.” THIS STATEMENT IS FALSE.

I wanted to let everyone know that La-Z-Boy isn’t a good product and even worse customer service and repair people as well! We spent over 2,100 dollars for a couch and love seat in April. Not even 2 months later my loveseat was sinking in and it wasn’t comfortable at all and just bought it (my wife’s couch was bad as well). After calling and waiting almost a month they finally sent someone out and the tech said the only thing they could do is put a small foam pad to try and help the cushion. Well it took another month to get foam pads and then put them in and no help.
Called again and pretty much they did nothing but waste my time. I was told that nothing else could be done and I was also told by tech that I should only tell them about one piece of furniture because they won’t cover 2, but paid for both! This is a warning to not buy anything from them unless you want the runaround and the blame game. We have finally paid them off and will be finding another furniture company that will take responsibility for their furniture not holding up! Terrible job LazyBoy on your customer service and especially your cheaply made furniture!

When I asked what could be done to rectify this situation I was told I would have to re-order the chairs and wait another six months which is the current delivery time for new orders! This is an unacceptable business practice. La-Z-Boy does not seem to care about the customer or our satisfaction, even though I am a returning customer! Look elsewhere and be aware. I recently visited A LaZBoy furniture gallery in Albuquerque, NM. I found a picture on sale and was told the item was reduced to an additional 50% and that all items with a sales or purple tag are also an additional 50% off the sales price. I then decided to shop a little more and found 4 lamps on sale. I paid for the merchandise with a debit card and the sale was final. I went to move my car closer to the entrance. When I returned to get the items the sales person advised me he made a mistake & the items were not an additional 50% off & the manager would refund me or I could pay an additional $127.29 on top of the $153.72 I already paid because "the store cannot afford to take that kind of loss". The sales person went on to add that if I did not want the lamps he would give them to his mother because she needs lamps.
I ended up paying the additional monies for a total of cost of ($281.01), because everyone was standing around gawking at what was happening and out of embarrassment I did not want to decline or make a scene or a fuss. I am writing today to let you know that I was totally humiliated and have never experienced this type of behavior from a reputable company such as Lazy Boy. Also I carried all four lamps to my car and the sales rep carried the picture to my car after I asked could I have it bubble wrapped. The lamp shades were put in large black trash bags. One of the sales rep held the door open as I carted the items one by one to my car. I am shocked and appalled at the disrespect and lack of customer service. Thank you for your time.

After shopping at many different furniture stores, I decided on La-Z-Boy to purchase my leather couch. The salesman told me the couch was made of 100% Leather, not bonded fabric. Clearly this is a lie as the seats back and arms are leather, but the areas on the sides of the cushions are bonded fabric. It's peeling and very unsightly. I have contacted La-Z-Boy, after several emails back and forth they offered to replace the damaged areas at a cost to me of approx $1000. (I would have to pay for the fabric and an hourly rate to make the repairs.) And they would replace it with the same cheap and bonded fabric. I feel cheated as I could have bought this couch for half the price at anyone of the five furniture's I has shopped at. Wife and I spent a day going to different stores looking for new living room furniture. Decided on La-Z-Boy. Guy at the store was super helpful and nice. Told him what we wanted and which fabric and he gave us a price of roughly $4000. I was messing around on the internet and found the same thing we wanted, but it was only $2850!!! Guy at the store was not happy, not with us, but with the fact he was losing this sale to the website. I was able to add to my cart and press the checkout button and everything was correct.
We come home and apply for credit to get the 0% financing option they offered. Once I did that, went back to the cart to check out, and BAM, price was now $4400!!!! No idea what could have happened??? So now I am a tad upset and decided we will wait on the furniture. I keep checking back to see if there is a sale or anything else going on because we did like what we picked out.
Finally the price comes down to $3300. Still $500 more than the lowest price we saw but we really wanted the furniture. So we decide to buy the furniture. I check and make sure everything was right, press check out, use the 0% financing and walla, I am done, or so I think. I get the order confirmation within a minute or two and the dang cloth on the furniture is incorrect!!!! How does this happen???? Needless to say I am beyond livid at this point. I have no idea how this happened or why, but be very careful when dealing with them. Double and triple check everything!

Like other reviewers on this site, I am having trouble receiving what I bought as promised. I was told a delivery date of 12-14 weeks when I bought my furniture on 9/4, then an estimated date 15 weeks out was written on the sales order, and here I sit on January 12th with no furniture. When I called locally they gave me the old "COVID and Christmas holiday" song and dance, which were certainly known quantities when I bought the furniture. When I called the national service line I was told one of the items is still "in production" with no delivery date known. This is not customer service. This is not the La Z-Boy I've dealt with in the past. Avoid patronizing this store unless you don't care when you receive what you pay for.

I bought my first La-Z-Boy couch in 2003 and was happy with it for 17 years, so I returned in July 2020 when I was looking for new furniture. Wow has the company changed! My wife and I ordered a sectional July 3, 2020 from La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor 495 E Hospitality Ln San Bernardino, CA which was delivered October 10, 2020 with a defective section (no recliner). The section was returned, fixed, then delivered again.
Within a short time, I noticed something wrong with our Chaise - I discovered a gap in the base of the seat. Upon investigating, I found the wood framing was cracked. I called for service, after waiting for very long time, and created a work order. The store which sold the furniture was "very sorry" but did nothing to help me obtain warranty service.
Service was delayed two months until December 10, 2020. The service person noted the defect immediately. He said he would put in for the replacement. Since then no part has arrived, no notice given, and I waited two hours on the phone to attempt to obtain service, to no avail. Warranty service is not worth the paper it's written on. I sought out BBB to make a complaint. Wow! When I viewed the more than 400 complaints to BBB in 2020, I saw that La-Z-Boy no longer cares at all about quality, farms out repairs to a different furniture repair company, leaves customers on hold endlessly (which hiring would fix), delays warranty service for months (which hiring more staff would fix), and pretends to care while disregarding the issues.
The company has changed- resting on laurels, short-term profit, and engaging in these practices because it makes more money, short-term, by understaffing, delaying warranty service, and disregarding complaints. If La-Z-Boy hired staff (they're high unemployment during Covid!) and focused their work, they could address every concern. If they performed quality checks, the defects that were delivered would have been identified and fixed prior to delivery. However, I also discovered another store offering La-Z-Boy furniture who told me they provide direct support for warranty service of product they sell. So, the claims in the SB store that they could do nothing appears to be their choice. I have a choice as well and will be exercising it. You should too!

No remote, no way to make it move and it even cannot be sat in because for some reason it rocks as if something is locked in place underneath. Delivery person said they could take it back but it would be another 12 weeks. So we are apparently waiting for a remote and someone to set it up. Unacceptable performance and service. So we paid for a recliner, paid for delivery and now have a nonworking chair. Contacted company and they are supposed to send us a remote. Someone is supposed to assist us but clearly the store could not care less. I got in touch and someone was to contact me. Nothing. Contacted them twice.

Told them what I needed and they sent someone out on 11/7. Called today for status and the part was JUST ordered and I should receive it in December. THEN I get to call back and make another appointment. My question is why was it not shipped with the initial order? This is not the only issue I have had with your company. Check Google. Do I need to create a chargeback to get this resolved? I am really at a loss for words that your customer service cannot help, Janet the sales associate cannot help and Celeste the manager cannot help.

I am so disappointed in my La-z-Boy purchase. We purchased over $4,600 in leather furniture in 2014. Two adults, no kids or animals and within 4 years it is peeling and cracked. We used the leather conditioner religiously. Had a one year warranty plus we purchased extended warranty. Extended warranty won't cover because La-z-Boy no longer makes that covering (I guess that is my fault?). La-z-Boy won't cover because they only stand behind their product for 1 year! I certainly expected my lightly used, very expensive furniture to last for more that 4 years. Never, ever again after purchasing La-z-Boy furniture for three generations. La-z-Boy used to be the gold standard and now they are near the worst. Makes me sad that the product has deteriorated to this level of quality. Case **.

Wish I had known about the Plastic Part in the mechanism of the La-Z-Boy Briggs reclining sofa and loveseat before I made my purchase in January 2019. I only had my sofa for 18 months when the footrest/recliner would not operate. Not only would it not open, but it also would not totally close. Ends up the mechanism consists of two approximately ½ inch diameter springs. Three ends attach to metal, but the fourth end attaches to a plastic part. The constant tension on this spring caused the end of the spring to work its way through the plastic and eventually break through. Once this happened the sofa would no longer recline.
I contacted my salesmen, but since I was past my one-year warranty, they would replace the reclining mechanism, but I would have to pay the labor cost. I then called La-Z-Boy customer service. They told me that the plastic part in the mechanism was being replaced by a metal part in the power recliners, but they were still using plastic in the manual model. Since they would do nothing for me, and I saw no point in paying the labor to replace the whole metal reclining mechanism which would still consist of the plastic component that broke, I have wired the footrest closed.

I live alone, am not obese and the chair is not misused. Very disappointed in the suboptimal quality and that the issue I have is easily dismissed. I have owned my couch for about 30 days and am extremely dissatisfied. After receiving the dual reclining couch I noticed some poor craftsmanship with how loose one side was compared to the other and how the back of the seats do not align at all. When a repairman came out to look at them he said, “They are all that way“ and sent me pictures of couches on the showroom that were just as bad. Unfortunately, because I didn’t catch this poor quality in the showroom couches, I am now stuck with a $2,000+ couch that I hate. After 30 days I am already experiencing the cushions sinking bad enough that I can feel the wood frame. La-Z-Boy doesn’t care about customer satisfaction and they basically tell you in their terms and conditions that once you buy it it’s yours and you are stuck with it. I would not recommend this brand of reclining couches.

The quality of the leather is great, but I've got a small hole where seams meet. Also when couch was delivered there was a defect that I never asked them to make good on because it was in the back and it didn't bother me. I am 3 months out of warranty. I should have called sooner, because now I am stuck with it and La-z-boy corporate and the franchise has said there is nothing they can do. It took me over a month to get any response, high volume of calls and Covid. I love that I am supposed to be understanding of their situation but they are totally unforgiving of mine. The store says it is La-z-boy's product they are just the dealer. La-z-boy says it's not their problem. It is obvious to me that they the franchise store and corporate play the blame game often. I asked if there was anyone they could recommend to fix it, nothing.
I am so disappointment in the attitude of both the store and La-z-boy. I am in sales, and nothing is more important than your relationships. They clearly don't care, and my $8K initial purchase is all they wanted. Based on the tone and treatment I can NEVER recommend a company that cares so little about its customers. Late spring of 2019 we purchased a manual reclining sofa and a motorized reclining chair. We decided to purchase La-Z-Boy due to their reputation and we had previously purchased cheap furniture. What a mistake we made. Right off the bat I felt the furniture wasn't very sturdy and the leg rest on the chair didn't feel like it went up all the way unless the back was reclined. Within less than 6 months the material on both pieces started pilling. Within a month after we noticed the pilling (the fabric was a tweed like pattern with a slightly coarse texture), the motor mount broke off the frame when I put the reclining chair up. I called the store and after listening to the phone ring for about 10 minutes, I hung up (it was around 7:30 at night and the store was still open).
I called the warranty number and left a message. I spoke to a representative the next day and was told to call the store back because the furniture was less than a year old. I called the store and left a voicemail. I left at least 3 voicemails and didn't get a call back until I left a nasty google review. Then they finally contacted us. We were told a technician would be sent out to inspect the furniture and we should hear from them in a day or two. A week later we had to call the number we were given and the service center said they had no record of having to call us. Finally after calling back the store manager, someone called us back finally and the tech came out. He wrote up a report and said we should hear from the service center with the week.
A week and half later, I called and was told a decision hadn't been made yet. A week and half after that I called again and made a lot of noise and miracle of miracles, I was told the furniture would be replaced and with a day or two we should receive in writing a letter to that effect which we did. I originally asked for the money back but they refused. I would get a store credit for the entire purchase including delivery. We went in to pick out new furniture. We found out then that the fabric we picked out was new and hadn't been time tested on wear (we were never told that during the original purchase) so we paid for upgraded material and in a year's time it is showing wear already. The original purchase had included upgraded cushions, which had flattened out in less than a year.
We were told they must have been defective so we again went for the upgraded cushions and they are flattening out again. The only thing I changed was that the new couch was also motorized instead of manual and that has had to be adjusted at least twice because it will occasionally not close all the way. Just some added information, we have no small children in the house, both of us work full time so we are only using the furniture in the evenings and on the weekends. Also our dogs do not sleep on the furniture. My son purchased a leather manual reclining couch from BJ's for around $600 at the same time we had our furniture replaced. His couch still looks practically brand new and it is used the same as ours. We will NEVER BUY La-Z-Boy furniture again. It is ** and their customer service is also horrible.

My wife decided to indulge me with a legendary La-Z-boy all leather recliner. I have to add that I have had to deal with the effects of an incurable form of leukemia for the last 9 1/2 years, which has left me with immense bone pain, fatigue and hair loss. As a result I needed a great chair that would be comfortable and should definitely last me for the rest of my life (I'm already 2 1/2 yrs past the longest the cancer centre gave me). I have had many different recliners in the last 20 yrs and this one is the most comfortable and luxurious one by far (it is also the most expensive one by far). As soon as I sat in it, I was in heaven. That was June 8th, 2020. Now 2 months later, the dye has come off parts of the head piece.
My wife contacted the store and they told her that La-Z-boy would not cover this under their warranty because the problem was caused by "continuous exposure to hair product or water from wet hair right after washing it." Needless to say I was a little more than disappointed by that response. The store that carried the chair offered me a credit towards a different chair as mine was a discontinued model, but I find that unsatisfactory. I have never had any chair, couch, hat or anything else that touches my skin lose it's dye whether leather, cloth, or vinyl. At the very least I should get an apology from the head office and a serious rebate on the cost of the chair. It is still the most comfortable chair I have ever been in, but the La-Z-boy is sure not living up to it's reputation or warranty promises.

I would not recommend this product anymore since the quality of manufacturing of these bladders now has become sub standard. La-Z-Boy does not stand behind their products.

I am now shopping for a lift recliner for my husband and of course La-Z-Boy was one of the ones I was considering...until today. I love these chairs and disappointed doesn't come close to expressing how I feel right now about my beautiful, American made chairs!!

I was disappointed at the 8 week expectation and was told by the sales rep that it was 8 weeks max, it may be sooner but they like to give the latest possible date because they don't want to have to call a customer and tell them it will be delayed. Coming up on the 8 weeks, I call the store to check in as I haven't received any calls from them about delivery and they tell me that I have a new expectation delivery date of Sept 28, over 12 weeks after I ordered the furniture. Fifty percent more time than the initially told me is not reasonable and they didn't even bother to call to let me know there was any delay. Terrible customer experience.

After waiting 3 months for it to arrive, I had to have someone come to the house to service it within the first week because the back was very loose and making a loud screeching noise every time I rocked. It never stopped making the noise. Now each time I rock the metal springs make a loud cracking noise and whatever wood is being used to make these, it sounds like it’s going to crack apart each time I rock. I bought this to use in a relaxing reading nook... The constant squeaks and cracks is beyond annoying!! And the back is still loose and moves. Extremely poor quality!!

I feel I have been duped by the perception that La-Z-Boy is a quality furniture and good service. What a joke... A joke that is ready to give me a freaking heart attack! It all started when our sofa was delivered May 2019, It had a problem and it was repaired but while here another problem was addressed regarding the rocker of one of the chairs to it. A new part was ordered and it took 4 months to get here only to be told it was the wrong part. Actually a rocker base and two springs were delivered. I called the local service and was referred regarding the rocker springs; was asked to take a picture of them which I did and was told they were not the right springs and new one was ordered to be delivered late June then moved again. In the meantime we got another rocker base no springs. So now I have two rocker bases and two springs of which I was told were not the right ones.
Notified service again and they told me to take pictures again and I did and they were supposed to call me back to let me know if we should have the service call scheduled or not. I never heard from anyone just the recorder. When I got home it was too late to talk with anyone so left a message but no one called. Saturday they're supposed to come again. No one knew what was going on and several days later still no response. So I called again but got a rep who said she'd schedule my service but I needed to know because it was cancelled too late I'd have to pay a service fee. WHAAAAT?! I told her under NO circumstances because I was never advised if I had the doable parts or not and under the circumstances felt they should not come as last I knew they were not the right springs. Now after all this time...all this trouble... I have to pay them for their ineptitude?! NOT gonna happen if I have to take them to court.
IF ONLY the sofa had been a quality piece of furniture to start with this would not be an issue. We had an Ethan Allen sofa for 20 years with no problem! It still was really good as we're empty nesters and the only reason we got rid of it was because it was leather and our cat had clawed the daylights out of the back of it. So IF any future shoppers of LaZ-Boy are reading this go somewhere else. If I live to be 100 I will NOT be going to La-Z-Boy again but I WILL be going online to my entire e-mail book, Facebook, Twitter, local friends and family to let them all know where NOT to shop. I'll be doing them a favor.
Oh BTW I was told by this last call that the reason I cancelled was because I couldn't get the repair person, Jordon, I wanted as he doesn't work our area any longer. All I did was request him as he knows his stuff so well. NEVER did I say I didn't want someone to repair the sofa and the only reason I cancelled was to save them from having a rep come only to find the wrong part so yet another delay. UUGH! I'm so frustrated!!!

We purchased the 5 year plan for the leather chair and the other lifetime for the cloth chair. About 1 year later the leather chair started to show spots of bright red coming through the leather. We called and it took over 3 months to finally get someone to come out their customer service in Ocee Florida is horrible they are rude and very inconsiderate. The technician stated that leather sometimes does that and filled it in with a marker and left the marker for us.
Now going on 2 1/2 years with the chairs those smaller spots have gotten bigger and now there is a huge spot right smack in the middle of the back of the chair at the top of the chair. I called today and was told they only warranty for this for one year (of course) and the protection plan which I paid over 300.00 for doesn't cover that, it only covers accidental damages. So now every time someone comes into my home I get to say and this lovely piece of furniture is from La-Z-Boy, don't ever buy from them as they do not stand behind their name for sure. I thought I was going to get a great piece of furniture because supposedly they are the best but I could have spent a lot less money for not real leather but fake leather and gotten a better looking piece. La-Z-Boy: your help is needed. 2 years ago and after 16 years I said goodbye to my old sofa set and gave to a needy family because they could not afford a set due to funeral expenses and bought a set from you. I spent $4,000 between 1 couch, 2 oversized chairs, 1 ottoman, furniture warranty and kit. Less than 2 years into the set, the couch seam ripped along the top cushion, ottoman foot broken (it's bent) and overall construction of all pieces failing.
I reached out last September to La-Z-Boy expressing my concerns. The first things I was told and told again now, is that you only back up your furniture for defects for 1 year. Furniture is supposed to last more than one year. This is $4,000 worth of furniture and not supposed to fall apart after 2 years. My set of 16 years never broke. As I had the furniture warranty via Circo, I contacted them. They never provided feedback until I was re-opened the case this year that I my claim was denied because it was a seam rip and thus manufacturer defect and not a tear. I would reevaluate your partnership with Circo and look at all the loopholes because they are not helping your customers - only stealing their money. As for the stain, I was told as I had not provided them further feedback, the stain was now old and could not be covered and was also berated by the customer service agent of why "did I wait so long". Poor service.
I have now contacted the Plainfield, NJ multiple times. No one is willing to help. I first spoke to Kathy sales associate who stated that she would speak to her manager. I never received an answer. I then a week later, spoke with Anila another sales associate who said her district manager, Amy would contact me. No feedback yet. If you stand by your products, you will provide the appropriate assistance. As I stated, furniture should not fall apart after 2 years. That is hard worked money and I would like this issue resolved.
I have attached photos for your review. This same feedback is being sent to your headquarter. Please do right by your customer, stand behind your product and help resolve this issue. Lastly, in addition to the photos of the furniture defects, I have also attached the a photo of a the tag attached to my accent chairs. This tag indicates a date of 1/20/2003 for the char - how old is this furniture. Has it just been reupholstered and old furniture being sold. Your insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I normally do not post grievances publicly. I'm a believer in providing opportunities to suppliers/merchants to rectify any situation that might arise from dissatisfaction with a product. Two summers ago we bought La-Z-Boy Outdoor furniture. Nice quality and not cheap. Keep in mind we only use the Aberdeen chaise a few weeks during the summer as our summers in Canada are short. We remove the cushions diligently when rain is announced to protect the longevity. We noticed at the end of year one that the threading on one of the cushions started unraveling, we thought this was a one time thing, unfortunately it progressively got worse over time, which leads me to this unfortunate experience. Keep in mind the product has a 5 year warranty.
I attempted to contact the Customer Service Hot-Line many times to no avail. I finally reached someone and they re-assured me that I would be contacted. Then I called again several days later and once again no answer, left a message and this went on for two full weeks. I finally spoke with someone at La-Z-Boy that gave me an e-mail address and the same number I had been contacting for weeks. This individual was very pleasant and assured me that the folks handling the warranty would help.
I finally e-mailed and I did get a response, the individual and I went back and forth with several e-mails. The final response was "sorry we can't help you as this line is discontinued but here is a link for a 3rd party that can sell you cushions." I then asked if La-Z-Boy would cover the cost of either repair or replacement of these cushions that have been unraveling as I am sure this is a fabric issue. The answer was NO, this is a limited warranty and since we have discontinued the line we can't put in a claim. Why would we buy from La-Z-Boy again if they won't honour their commitment on warranty.

In the passed 30 years I have owned at least 6 Lazy boy recliners which were great chairs very comfortable and quality built. Now this recent purchase, they are terrible JUNK. Very poor quality and uncomfortable. I called La-Z-Boy company and explained the problem. I was given some lame explanation that they would contact the store where I purchased them. And maybe after the pandemic the store would contact me. There may be an adjustment they can do. To date have heard nothing from anyone. I don't expect to. Be careful. Don't buy this JUNK.

I want consumers to beware of purchasing La-Z-Boy recliners because of the quality of the product I experienced and more so of the la-z-boy repairs department in Buford, Georgia. I purchase my second la-z-boy recliner in December 2019. It was delivered in March 2020 and started to malfunction almost immediately. I purchase this recliner to replace another la-z-boy recliner I purchased in 2013. The recliner I purchased in 2013 had problems with the extended leg rest almost immediately but I was able to put up with those issues mainly because I was working overseas for long periods of time and did not use the recliner often. However, eventually I had to get the recliner serviced several times until eventually I had to replace it.
In addition to quality of the two expensive recliners I purchased, the service repair department in Buford, Georgia is more problematic based on my experiences. The service manager has stated to me more than once that they do not perform frequent service in my County. However, they have a store/showroom less than 20 miles from my home. I had to take my first recliner early in 2019 to Buford, Georgia for repair, which is more than 60 miles from my home. The repair services they performed did not resolve the problems and la-z-boy had to come to my home for additional repairs.
The Buford, Georgia repair manager has been very unresponsive this time around and also have been very condescending during the conversations I had with him. At this point, my recliner still has not been repaired and is totally unusable. I learned a costly and valuable lesson and wanted to share my experiences with la-z-boy with you. Please do not make the same mistake I made twice. I probably deserve this bad experience I having with la-z-boy because I could have purchased my second recliner from another vendor. Consumers please beware.

It's too ridiculous. After which I went to store and spoke to the manager and was told he will get back to me in a day or two. I have received a call from one of the salesperson after 2 days they they do not have the items and will let me know when they arrive. I purchased a couch and a reclining chair on January 20, 2020 from your store in Milford, CT. I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks for the products to be made and shipped to my house. A few weeks later, I stopped into the store to check the status of my order, to which I was told that I could expect a delivery date of March 25th.
When March 25th came, I called the La-Z-Boy store, and also spoke to customer service to find out that when the order was keyed into the system the couch was put under the wrong year, and it was never made. I was told that the couch would need to be reordered, and that a "Rush" would be put on it. She told me that it could be another 6 to 8 weeks for the couch to be ready, but with the rush it could be sooner and that she would keep me updated with any information.
On April 27th I called the store again to check the status of my order. I was then informed that the warehouse that makes the couch shut down as of March 30th due to the coronavirus, and wouldn't reopen until May 4th. I am very disappointed that I was not informed of this shut down prior to me calling to check on the status of the order. There was also no change on your website to state that the warehouses would be closing during the time. I was told that the store associate would find out from the warehouse when my couch would be expected to ship from the warehouse, to which she got back to me stating it would ship between May 11 and 22nd.
I received a phone call today, May 11th, stating that the couch would not be ready by the above stated date, and as of now should be shipping the week of the 25th. She also informed me that from the shipping date it takes about a week to get to the local warehouse before it can be shipped out for delivery. This places the delivery date most likely somewhere in the second week of June if things go on the timeline she received today.
After ordering this couch on January 20th, I will have waited almost FIVE months to receive my order. I will also add that the couch causing the issue was not a special order, it was one of the colors that the couch typically comes in. If I wasn't so set on this couch I would have told them to forget about it and cancelled it a long time ago, but it took me months to find a couch that I actually liked. I am extremely disappointed in the way that this purchase has gone from the beginning and that the mistakes in ordering this couch were only found when I questioned the whereabouts of my purchase.

We ordered our furniture on 2/22/2020, expecting delivery by Easter. Covid 19 caused havoc, I expected and understood there would be a delay. The store was closed mid March, the factory in TN wasn't closed until the end of March, at which point my furniture should have been almost done. I have talked with different people at different times from the Toledo OH store, I have been told my order would be ready by the end of April/beginning of May and another time it would be ready May 18, 2020. At no time was I told there was a problem.
Today, May 8, 2020, I was told that my fabric is on backorder and won't be available until June. My sofa & loveseat haven't even been started, they wouldn't have been started until the fabric is available. I have purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy Furniture back in the '90s and was very dissatisfied, the quality was horrible, the fabric wore out and the frame didn't lock together. The set only lasted 2 years. Because of my experience I was hesitant about ordering anything from Laz-y Boy but liked the new technology in the DUO type reclining furniture. We went back & forth for months before finally deciding to go with the LazyBoy DUO Bennett sofa & loveseat.
Now I am seriously wondering what the heck is going on & ask myself???? How can my order sit for weeks, because the fabric is on backorder and NO ONE notices, does doing anything about it or notifies me, the customer? Do I want to order from a company that will let that happen? Would I be just plain stupid to proceed with my order? How well can the furniture be built, if inventory can't be managed and customers contacted promptly when there are problems or backorders? I am looking for reasons to continue my order by picking different fabric or cancelling my order and going to a different company.

My wife ended up with a torn rotator cuff in her shoulder and I ended up with a shattered right elbow. We both had to have surgery and in my case 2 of them to correct our injuries. We both found we could not sleep in our bed that we were both in a great deal of pain and discomfort. We turned to our local La-Z-Boy retailer and purchased 2 recliners with electric motors. To both of our amazement these chairs were a Godsend to us.
With the ability to make lots of adjustments we were both able to find the perfect spot where we were completely comfortable and able to eliminate all our pain. For both of us these chairs were the only place that we could find any comfort. We thank the La-Z-Boy company for making such excellent products and want to share our deep gratitude.

Now that my chair practically catapults me out of it with a jerk when I lower it - I find out it will cost me $130.00 labor to fix it. I was just told that only the part is covered. It most likely needs an adjustment. I would be happy to try and figure that out if there were instructions - but $130.00 for adjusting the way it lowers is far too much.

We had purchased a "Leather" sofa and love seat a few years ago; the store that we bought it at was very nice and very professional and we would definitely deal with them again. The furniture quality, well that is a different story. After about a year and a half we started to see some of the top layer of the material (looked like a thin rubber coating) started to separate from the rest of the material. We inquired with La-Z-boy and found the material was only covered with a one year warranty.
So now here we are about 4 years after purchase and the furniture looks horrible. The rubbery material is starting to separate more and we are left with a horrible looking fabric. I thought this was strange since we only have one grown child at home (the other 2 are married) and our pets are not allowed on the furniture (the point is we are not hard on the furniture). After a little bit of research I found that there are thousands of people with the same complaint. Please, I beg you, to not overlook these reviews. This fabric is terrible, and I am thinking I should probably start a class action lawsuit over this; it is such a rip off. Nobody, should be faced with spending thousands of dollars to reupholster two piece of furniture a few years after they spent thousand to purchase it. I really don't know how La-Z-boy expects to stay in business with this kind of quality.

First, I do like the two chairs I ordered; they are very comfortable. But this has been a nightmare. After waiting around the Northridge Store for nearly two hours while the sales guy learned how to order a chair, and another four weeks for the chairs to arrive, I was disappointed to learn that there "was an error at the factory" and the riser for one of the chairs wasn't installed. The parts were sent to my house via overnight mail. And then I waited another week for someone to call me to schedule an appointment for the installation. When they did finally schedule the appointment (three more weeks), it was set for March 24th.
Yet just a few minutes ago I got a call from them confirming the appointment for tomorrow. When I asked whether or not they knew we were under a mandatory stay-at-home order, the customer service person told me that "it was up to the technician" whether or not to come out. That is bad policy. It is bad for our public health and I don't see how you can argue with a straight face that this is an "essential service." You should be better corporate citizens in this time. This isn't up to the technician - the governor issued a stay at home order. In any event, now my appointment is scheduled for the end of April. La-Z-Boy needs to do better than this. Nice of you to threaten customers before they voice their opinions. These are my opinions and unless America has gone completely left wing they are still protected speech. On 2 Feb of this year I purchased at La Z Boy power reclining sofa. On 11 March in the middle of dinner I received a call stating my sofa was in and it could be delivered a week later on the 18th. It was apparently urgent to call at dinner time to tell me it would take a week to get the sofa the least 6 miles to my house. On the 17th I got a call to tell me delivery would be between, you guessed it, 4 and 7 pm the next day. Yes dinner time again. The sofa arrived at about 5:45 PM.
After my wife and I had cleared the table and done dishes we sat on the sofa. My wife raised the foot rest and that was the last time it worked. Today, the 19th, I called the store to express my extreme displeasure and ask for a repairman and received what in my opinion was complete indifference and a total lack of acceptance of responsibility for the product. I was referred to customer care, they at least sounded like they cared, however the first appointment was April 1st, 2 weeks away! I ask to have the sofa picked up and my money returned, no go. So here I sit 7 weeks after I paid a deposit of $800.00 with a sofa that is useless to me and a company that in my opinion couldn't care less. The phrase buyer beware certainly is true in this case.

Based on the response and attitude I got back from the service department manager today, this is a problem they are well acquainted with and have basically become immune to criticism and complaints. We were then told by La-Z-Boy that we had to pay shipping for the parts and for another hour of labor. We did. Parts came, service tech came back and said they had forgotten to order the motor.
So then two weeks later we get a call from La-Z-Boy telling us it would cost almost $300 for the motor. Had we paid that, we'd have paid over $500 for the repair. Service tech told us we shouldn't have been charged for any labor until he actually did labor. He was here only a few minutes the first time. La-Z-Boy agreed to refund 2 hrs' labor ($248 total) but I was stuck with parts I don't need for a recliner that doesn't work. On 3/3/2020, my wife and I purchased a sofa at the La-z-boy store in Tampa, FL, and a delivery date was set for 3/14/2020. Today, 3/6/2020, I received a phone call from "Gene" telling us that they cannot sell us the sofa (even though they already had). He said the sofa and matching love seat had to be purchased together, and he was refunding our money. We specifically told our salesperson in the Tampa store, Tammie **, that we wanted to purchase the sofa alone (we live in a small senior living apartment and only have room for a small sofa), and she assured us that was fine. Also, each piece, the sofa and loveseat, had individual sales tags/prices attached to them (if they were a set, why would there not be only one price for both).
We told Tammie specifically that we only wanted the sofa because at another store we were told they were only sold as a set, so we wanted to make sure that at the Tampa store we could purchase only the sofa. Now, to make matters much worse, "Gene" (whom we have learned is the manager of the Tampa store) called me a "liar" during the phone call on 3/6/2020. He said that I lied to the folks because I did not tell them in Tampa that we were not able to buy the sofa alone at another store. Why would I tell them about any or all of the places we have looked at sofas - I did not know that all the stores were owned by the same person! We certainly will never do business with La-z-boy again, and would caution anyone else dealing with the Tampa store and others associated with such.

They gave me the warranty dept number, who asked, "What is it about". Told them & they said, "This dept can't help you". I feel I was treated rudely, unfairly, & La-Z-Boy used deceptive sales tactics & was not honest about their policies.

We had a sofa delivered after waiting 4 weeks. It arrived defective. The right front leg is fully 1 inch off the floor and the safe teeters back and forth. Delivery guys refused to do anything. Called customer service and finally got a tech appointment for 2 weeks out. The tech was really nice, but kind of laughed when he saw the sofa and said that it was a defective frame and could not be repaired. He copied me in on the email he submitted regarding this and took photos, as did the delivery drivers. After not hearing anything from La-Z-Boy after nearly a week, my husband reached out to them and was told that we'd have to take photos and they would submit them to another department and that no replacement had been ordered.
TERRIBLE customer service! If I had a customer who not only paid $4,000 for new furniture and then a piece was delivered defective, I would be doing everything I could to make sure I resolved the issue for them. Not only are they giving us the run-around, but nobody is contacting us at all. Each and every time, we have to call them to find out what we need to do. It is completely ridiculous! You'd think they would show SOME concern over delivering a defective piece of furniture in the first place, and then get a replacement going once the tech told them it was not repairable! This is completely CRAZY. One "customer service" rep even stated, "Well, it looks like you are still in your warranty period." No kidding, we haven't even been able to use it! It was delivered defective, I should hope that, not only does the warranty cover it, but also a guarantee! Don't do business with La-z-Boy...they don't live up to the promises they make you when they sell it to you!

Contacted the store where purchased with complaints on our sofa and love seat. Was assured the cushion on our sofa would be taken care of, also had complaint on the love seat. Went through the extended warranty that only covered stains etc. Called La-Z-Boy and was told they would have to send someone to look at it because it was past the warranty. They were going to charge me $100 to come look at it. The couch and love seat were a year and a half old! I was in the process of buying a sofa and love seat for our son and was too late to cancel it. I would never recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone except recommending to stay away service is horrible. I also sent pictures at the time.

After bad experience, I went to La-Z-Boy in Springfield, Il. I was greeted right away, she was friendly. I told her what I was interested in. She took me right to the perfect chair. I bought it. 180 degree turn from Ashley Furniture.
