We moved to a bigger house and purchased a sofa and a recliner from La-Z-Boy. When my furniture was delivered, I did a visual check and sit in my chair and reclined it but I did not glide in it and that actually was not working correctly. Unfortunately, I did not find that out until after the delivery people left. I had to schedule a service call for someone to come out and fix it. That was disappointing. I would expect it had been properly working upon delivery. Other than that my experience was good. They were professional. The sales reps at the gallery were always very helpful. Bianca provided good information. Katy, the person that we worked with the most, was personable. The quality of the furniture is acceptable. We purchased one with a lower price and there are some seams where the thread pokes out in places but it's fine.

We moved to a new house and I needed new furniture. I had the couch, chair, and tables delivered from La-Z-Boy. It’s our second purchase from them and I have had them in my home for five years. I told them "if the stuff came before August 1st, it would be fine. After August 1st, make a note on the delivery that I’m not going to be here for a month. You’re going to have to hold it until September." I don’t know where the note went but they left seven messages at my sister’s house all over the place and they shouldn’t have bothered anybody with it. They should have waited. They should have had that down.
The delivery worked out okay but then afterwards, I called in and talked to the store manager. I didn’t care for the way it was upholstered and I wanted somebody to take a look at it. And he never returned my call. He said he’d get with the decorator that I worked with and they didn’t return my call. And then I left for a vacation and then the rest of my furniture came in. So I thought, “Well, I’ll just wait until the rest comes in before I call back again.”
There’s a damaged piece in the second delivery that came. I spoke with the decorator that I worked with. She told me that a technician would be calling me and it’s been a couple of days so far and nobody has called me back on that. I’m getting a little concerned that I’m not getting a response that I’d like to get the things repaired and looked at. Today is Wednesday and I talked with her on Monday. I think a technician could have called. They should have called the next day, after I spoke with her. So I’m a little annoyed that I haven't heard anything from them yet. And I think La-Z-Boy was expensive considering I’ve got a couple of things that really aren’t made all that well.

Today my family (my wife, daughter, and me) visited a number of furniture stores in search of a sectional sofa. La-Z-Boy was the 5th store we had visited. After finding exactly what we were looking for at La-Z-Boy, the manager ** helped us with the specifics including price. He told us that the Aspen sectional was still on sale, held over from the Labor Day sale the weekend before. He gave us a price of $2515, plus delivery and tax, bringing the total to $2841. Now that we have gone on the website after the fact, we notice that **'s price exactly matches the price we could have purchased it for off the website with NO LABOR DAY SALE. So, what happened to the sale price he claimed he was giving us?
The second issue was that he told us he was going to give us a better deal if we financed it for 12 months, interest free ($200 off). Later, he said the price already reflected the $200 deduction, and argued that he was only going to give us 6 months of financing. We insisted he honor the 12 months as he had previously stated. In addition, when we asked if there was anything better he could do with the price, he insisted we were already getting the best sale price, but that he could throw in a clearance area rug. Since we did not need an area rug, we politely declined but asked again if the price could be adjusted at all. He said he would check, and when he came back saying that he could take 10% off the base price, he only actually took off $100, rather than the $250 that would have equaled 10%.
The reason we did not argue this was that he had presented us with a price that was actually HIGHER than his original quote earlier in the afternoon. We were dumbfounded as to why he would RAISE the price, and were flustered trying to figure out how he came up with a higher quote when he claimed he was reducing it. When we showed him the card he had written the original quote on, to show that he was not lowering the price, he claimed he'd made a MISTAKE on the first quote. Rather than honor the $2841, he crossed out the original quote to reflect a higher price. This, coupled with the $100 reduction rather than 10% meant that we would be paying even MORE than we thought.
But, we really wanted the sofa so we did agree to the sale. We were too caught off guard at the shady antics in his calculations that we didn't even realize he hadn't deducted the 10% until after we left the store. We put down a deposit of $900 and financed the remaining balance. While we were completing the paperwork, my wife asked if there were any throw blankets he could throw in (knowing that he never did offer anything other than the rug that we were not interested in). His response: "I'm done with the throw-ins." Not only was this a rude response, but it was completely inaccurate, since he never did throw in anything!!!!!
The ONLY negotiation he made was to offer the protection plan at a reduced price (which was already INCLUDED in the price on the website!!), and the $100 deduction. Between the flat-out lie that we were getting a special sale price, and the inaccurate pricing and deliberate attempts to fool us into thinking he was doing the best he could do to work with us, we are completely disgusted by the experience. In our history of furniture purchases, this is the WORST sale and salesman we have ever dealt with. We are so unhappy in fact, that we are going to cancel the order.

I bought a leather sofa. When I bought it, I was promised the moon and I've gotten it here and it's just been a nightmare since the 4th of July. I have begged to try to get them to help me with my warranty on this thing.
There was an ink mark on my sofa. They tell me ink is covered. They came out here, caused a big thing about it, took pictures, then when I called (I hadn't heard from them in three weeks so I called) they said "We're not gonna cover it". I said, "Why not?". She said, "Because your granddaughter scribbled on it, it's not just a couple of marks on it." I said, "Ink is ink. That's what covered in the Ultra Shield". She said, "Well, you're gonna have to pay for it". I called Chuck down at the La-Z-Boy in Temecula. He told me he'd get back to me. He got back to me asking me what side the couch it was on, he was gonna take care of it, and then he went ahead and called corporate.
About two weeks ago I talked to a lady at corporate. Told me for sure she'd call me the next day, that they're gonna cover it for me and bring it out. Nobody has called me. I've had the couch since the 4th of July weekend and nobody has fixed the sofa. So would I buy another one? Probably not which is really horrible because La-Z-Boy is a really, really good couch and I've enjoyed it. But would I after this? Absolutely not. Do I think the quality on your sofa is good? Absolutely the best, can't get them any better. But the customer service and the way they went about taking care of me, no. When I bought the couch, they were very nice to me. Chuck told me the best thing to do is buy this warranty. I paid for a warranty, I gave you the money and you won't give me the warranty. I think you should give me back my money.

My wife and I bought an entire living room set of furniture in late May 2014 from the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery store in Houston, TX, near Katy. We purchased two sofas, a recliner, and a pair of end tables, a console table and a large "premium" leather ottoman. We received a call about a week and a half later from a sales rep to inform us that the console table was no longer being manufactured - red flag #1. When the items were finally delivered a very long 12 weeks later in mid-August, and they were not to our satisfaction. The two remaining end tables we had ordered were nowhere to be found - one was sitting in the store's warehouse, while the other was apparently never ordered or cancelled due to being on backorder, all of which was news to us.
The recliner had upholstery issues and a noticeable "wobble" when sitting down, as if the frame was loose or poorly manufactured. I am not a big man, so I have serious concerns when brand new furniture has any movement at all, especially from my weight alone. The sofa cushions were overstuffed and inarguably uncomfortable, while the fabric had a strong, chemical odor and a sheen to it that we do not remember when we picked the swatch in store. The accompanying throw pillows for the sofa looked like something made in a 4th grade art class. Overall, we were completely dissatisfied with the apparently lack of quality, comfort and style of the furniture. The La-Z-Boy representative that was sent out a day or two later told us that our complaints were essentially unfounded and that all of the furniture was made to the manufacturer's specifications.
After realizing we stood at a dead end - that La-Z-Boy now had our money and no intention of honoring a warranty or product standard, and that any sort of warranty claims or repair issues arising in the future would be a long and bitter fight (well documented in the reviews here), my wife and I decided we would pay the 25% restocking fee and send back everything we ordered - close to $1,500 in charges to get NO furniture. I inform the store of my decision and they set a time to pick up the furniture so we can move on with our life La-Z-Boy-free and renew our search for quality furniture.
The delivery truck with two men arrived a day or two later and begin loading everything back on the truck. The leather ottoman was the last item to go - this is a large ottoman 3ft x 3ft. Instead of two men moving the piece, a single delivery guy proceeds to man-handle it, grasping it up by the leather itself, as opposed to the frame. He proceeds to very awkwardly carry it out and load onto the truck, nearly dropping it halfway to the truck, again catching it by clutching the leather. As I prepare to head back to the office, thinking I was very near concluding my business with La-Z-Boy, the same delivery guy proceeds to walk back into the living room, ottoman in tow, to inform me that they can't take the item back because of a small scratch that now appears on one of the ottoman's sides, along with a small spot of discoloration in the leather, hidden behind the tags, that was clearly present when delivered.
I almost immediately received a phone call from the customer service rep, ** IN DALLAS, who informs me that they cannot take the ottoman back. I explained that all of the furniture sat unused in our living room for the few days that it was here, and that in particular the ottoman was covered and in a corner, so that any marks or scratches they are finding were CLEARLY THERE WHEN THEY DELIVERED IT. Being in the position of not having to care, she refused to accept any explanation and La-Z-Boy proceeded to further run me over. At this point I'm out the 25% restocking fee and $800 for a crappy ottoman that was either defective from the start, damaged during delivery (or pickup), or is of such poor quality that it manages to scratch itself simply by sitting untouched in the corner of a room.
Repeated calls to ** IN DALLAS proved her commitment to not caring - the store manager empathized but deflected all responsibility to customer service, and calls to corporate La-Z-Boy were met with the response that the stores are operated independently and again deferred responsibility to them. I have to ask, what is the point of even having a corporate office or brand name "La-Z-Boy" then? The worst part of all of this, is that I'm actually happy to be out of approximately $2,000 vs. the alternative of the future time commitment and stress of dealing with future warranty related issues, "service calls" with LA-Z-BOY personnel, and the like that are well documented here, for poorly made furniture that we should have never bought in the first place.
I have learned a lot about the furniture business in the last 5 months, more than I ever cared to know, and can happily say that there are tons of great manufacturers and dealers out there, which I am proud to say we now support. Likewise, I proudly DO NOT support LA-Z-BOY, will never spend a dime with them again, and will gladly spread this horrid tale to friends, family, acquaintances, and anyone that in earshot that might ever be interested in buying LA-Z-BOY products. My advice to anyone considering purchasing anything from LA-Z-BOY is to realize it is a low-grade furniture manufacturer selling at mid-grade prices, using its brand power alone, which as evidenced by the number and severity of these reviews, is rapidly deteriorating. BUYERS BEWARE.

Paperwork was rushed and we were never verbally informed that the order would not be able to be cancelled even within 8 hours of placement, we don't even have an order number yet! We never signed/initialed the back of the agreement and the store refuses to help & cancel the order. We have yet to receive anything confirming the order (or processing of the order) other than the scribbled up piece of paper we walked out with. Upon calling customer service they said this order should be able to be cancelled within the time-frame (less than 24 hrs) and the store should have no issue removing this from their ordering system.
We have been treated terribly by both associate and manager (names available upon request) and each conversation was left with a "this is your problem" sentence. We now wish to cancel the order and never want to do any business with La-Z-Boy again. We came to La-Z-Boy under the assumption that service and product are monumental but that is clearly not the case.

I am very disappointed with La-Z-Boy. My order went beyond their "please allow 6-8 weeks". My order was placed 06/14/14 and today 09/09/14 the last piece of furniture was delivered. Please note the custom pillow still hasn't arrive yet. Please check your furniture very carefully if you insist on purchasing from La-Z-Boy. The piping I found not sewn in at the end correctly on my chair. You can feel the edge of the wood supports through the padding on the arms. I notice a chip on the foot, while looking for info on a tag under the chair. The mechanism wants the chair to go full tilt, so sit upright or lay back almost flat. Not good for watching tv. The biggest thing that upsets me is that the fabric is already wearing badly. Not event three weeks old. The fabric on the sofa arms are puckering. The cushion on the ottoman is bulging to one side, and this is with their firm filling at added cost.
My wife's chair, same model different fabric, which arrived today has piping issues, chip on the foot and a lovely stain - note we even purchased their stain guard. The store was unhelpful through the delivery process. You'll have do the follow ups. Apparently they can't even help resolve receive in poor condition. Your best bet is to call their customer service number 800-375-6890 direct. I have a service ticket out and now have to call back to and on the defects of my wife's chair. Staff at the store said they would get someone to call me. 2 hour and still waiting. If you insist on making a purchase, document everything and check your credit card service procedure regarding payment disputes. Don't pay cash. Use your credit card. I'm not confident that this will be resolve in a timely manner. In my opinion you’re better off just going to IKEA. We shall see if La-Z-Boy really cares about their customers and their opinions. If no star was an option, that is what I'd rate them.

My wife and I special ordered a sofa, love seat and recliner before summer at the Lexington, SC location. From the beginning the salesperson was not at all cordial and at times seemed put off by the time that we took to decide on what furniture we both liked. Before the order was to be delivered, we realized that the furniture was not going to fit in the room that we ordered it for. When purchasing the furniture we had discussed with the salesperson the size of the room that the furniture was going in and the configuration. We did not realize nor was told at the time of the sale that the couch and love seat was larger than normal.
We attempted to contact our salesperson for any possible alternatives and left messages both through her answering machine and by another salesperson, but we never received any calls back. We contacted the store and spoke with another salesperson (?). He advised us that since it was a special order normally it could not be cancelled. He indicated that he would speak with the person at the store that could make that happen. I asked for the name of the person and I was very rudely treated, being told in a very hostile voice that he would not give me the name. We have yet to hear back from anyone. I have attempted several times to contact the store directly but keep getting a never ending answering machine loop. We want to discuss possible ways of handling this unfortunate situation, even substituting a recliner for the couch. The Sales Ticket Number is **.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for 10 years. The quality and the price of their products are very good. When I went to purchase a sofa recliner, the sales representative I talked to at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very helpful and their delivery team was very efficient and very quick. It was a good experience. Theresa, the decorator, has been extremely helpful. She's come out to our home and offered suggestions for paint and everything and we've been very pleased with her.

Terrible customer service. They delivered two couches that were very expensive. I was excited to get these but a few days later I noticed some scrape marks on the back of the chairs and that the love seat and the couch were different shades. I called their customer care and they said they would have a technician come out to look at the issues. When Gregg the technician came out he admitted that the two pieces of furniture were different shades and that he would note this in the claim. He stated that someone would get in contact with me with the results of the report. Over a week went by and no one called me, so I reached out to them. They, in so many words, said that it was what it was and that the technician did not even report the shade difference.
I then went into the Fairfax store and Hakeem, the sales member, who sold me the couches said that he would do anything he could to make sure that this was fixed. This still has not been resolved and I have called and gone into the store and no one will help me. This was the first time that I have purchased anything from La-z-boy and I can confidently say that I will never shop there again. For a company who sells such expensive furniture they are quick to drop you once they have made the sale. The after purchase customer service is virtually non existent.

I usually love La-Z-Boy. I've purchased numerous items from them. I recently purchased the Midtown recliner. Found a defect in that the binding on the left arm was sewn crookedly causing puckering. Called customer service to let them know I wanted to return the chair and get one that was not defective. I did this a few days after delivery. Was told by a very rude representative that the best they would do was replace the entire arm. I was concerned about a color match for the leather but had no alternative so I agreed. Waited weeks for the "arm" I was told to expect. Still baffled as to how they wouldn't agree to replace a defective product, not one I broke, but one that was clearly defective from the start.
On 8/30/2014 they finally sent the new "part". I was expecting a new upholstered arm of this chair and instead just got the leather upholstery itself. The technician came out and was surprised that he was there to reupholster a chair arm instead of just replacing the whole arm. It didn't go well. He struggled to make it work. He found that La-Z-Boy probably did not send the new "arm" because the chair's main cross beam was glued, not bolted. What? Since when is that quality? So the arms can never be removed if they need to be repaired in the future. He didn't understand why they didn't just send an entire new frame to rest the back and foot rest into. I told him I didn't know why they didn't just send an entire new chair since this wasn't a repair issue, it was a sewing defect in the original trim work.
Anyway he struggled for more than an hour and finally got the arm reupholstered. Unfortunately once it was in place and we tested the chair we found that this piece was also sewn incorrectly. Now the binding on the inside of the arm of the chair makes a popping sound as it presses irregularly against the back cushion of the chair, slowly damaging that leather as well. It is clear that the arm was not sewn correctly, again. As an added bonus I now have a noticeable crease in the back of the new arm as the tech had great difficulty performing the work. And upon further inspection we both saw puckering and sewing issues on the other arm of the chair which I did not notice previously. I emailed La-Z-Boy and did not hear back other than to say they would contact me once the tech report was in. Finally called them on 9/4/14 and was told report wasn't done, asked for supervisor and suddenly the report was done! I was told I would be called back that same afternoon. I was not. I called them back the next day and was told they were still working on it.
They need to replace this chair with a chair that is made correctly. Very disappointed to find out they glued part of this chair instead of bolting it, clearly a short cut. I guess La-Z-Boy goes on the list of companies that build their products to fall apart in short order. Remember when you could buy a refrigerator that would last 20 years? Those days are gone and La-Z-Boy is just one of the many companies that have sent them packing. #shameonyou
Update on 9/8/14: Finally was told they would replace the chair. However, I have no confidence in their ability to put leather upholstery on the Midtown. They just can't get the binding right. I went to the store in my area and found I had one alternative model that would work for my use and met my needs (high leg, leather, tall enough), the Haven. Now waiting for call back about a price match. Am I crazy for waiting for some point in this fiasco where La-Z-Boy apologizes and offers some type of consideration? At this point I've had 2 La-Z-Boy reps tell me today that any price difference would be on me? What? I bought the original chair on a 25% off sale. If I'm ordering a similar chair with the same exact upholstery they should match the price at the very least! So disappointed.
Seriously a 20-year customer that has lost complete faith in the quality this company offers. Was really hoping to find reviews of this model but haven't yet. Honestly too tired of dealing with this to take the next step of refusing the charge on my credit card. I need "a" chair in my living room before the holidays. Sadly this will be my last purchase from La-Z-Boy unless they seriously go back to their original standards and start building quality products once again. I would expect this type of quality if I had spent $300 on a chair like this but this particular chair was in the $1,800 range before the sale price of $1,350. Really never expected the low quality at this price. Buyer Beware.

Everything at La-Z-Boy seemed to go well. The guys took care of everything on time. The sales representatives did well. He was informative and patient with us and we found what we needed. I was in there to buy and he took me to find what I wanted. The delivery team was quick. They were in and out.

I bought two reclining couches 8 yrs ago, one broke and I threw it out and the other one the dye that La-Z Boy used is rubbing off and now the couch is two tone.

I've had La-Z Boy recliners for a long time. I go back to them all the time because they're great. I purchased a new one because the one I had was almost 10 years old. It was a leather one and held up so good but it got to the point where some of the stuffing was getting a little flat on the arms and some of the leather where I had my hands all the time was worn.
We're looking later to purchase some living room furniture from there too, and the girl at the store was fabulous. My wife had seen some stuff that she really liked. But I explained it to the girl. She said, "Do you want another leather one?" I said I wanted a cloth one because leather ones are just a little cold in the wintertime. She showed us some cloth ones and I picked one out that was really super and no problem. The delivery was excellent. The very polite guys came and took the old one away and brought the new one in. I was very pleased with everything. We also ordered covers to protect the arms and back. I figured that saves the material a little bit. I’m very happy with them and the quality of the product is great and they last a long time and they’re comfortable. It was a pleasure to walk in the store. It was a very good experience and I'll definitely go back.

We were combining two different families and wanted some matching stuff. The sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Anything we asked, they had an answer for or found the answer right away. They didn't keep us waiting for anything. I thought it was really good. They were very competent and very nice.
The quality of the furniture is amazing. Everybody wants something to be a little bit cheaper, but for what we got, we really can't complain. When scheduling the delivery for our orders, they were very flexible with us, worked with us. When they came in, they let us know right away, so we got schedule for them to drop it off. I thought it was really good. My husband was the one that dealt with the delivery part, but I don't think it was bad because he never complained, and he's one to let you know when things aren't good. So overall, I would definitely recommend La-Z-Boy.

Both the guys I dealt with at La-Z-Boy were excellent. One was the manager and he was awesome. Everybody was very respectful, very nice, and very knowledgeable, except the delivery guys, the first crew, that I didn’t much care for. We told them that the loveseat was the wrong color and they said no, it's the way the sun was hitting it. I took the box off and it was totally the wrong color. The second crew that came in, they walked in and they go, “Yeah, that’s not the right color.” They peeked at the new one before they even delivered it and it was great. So it’s all been taken care of and fixed. Overall, experience was very good. The furniture I bought is very good in terms of quality and very comfortable. Cost equals the quality.

I am very upset because there is absolutely no justification for my furniture to be dumped on my lawn. There is also no justification for one of the delivery men to try to forcibly take the dolly away from me, after he told me I would have to bring the furniture in myself. Yes, I was alone. It was quite difficult and took a few bumps on the door jamb. Even more, there is no justification for me to be told to bring the furniture in myself.
Mr. **, Manager, has made it clear that because he has a delivery man that is extremely terrified of dogs, it is acceptable for my furniture to be left on the lawn, etc. I have no idea whether either delivery man is the man who is extremely afraid of dogs. Based on the fact that they both walked with my dog and I, never indicating any hesitancy, fear, or any potential problem whatsoever, it's doubtful that the man who is extremely afraid of dogs was one of them.
I paid for delivery and that contract was breached. The behavior of the deliverymen was inexcusable and unconscionable. The very man who said he would not go into the house because of my dog certainly felt safe enough, not only walking with my dog, but also while forcibly trying to take the dolly away from me, in my backyard with the door to the house open! Also, why couldn't the other man help me take in the furniture instead of sitting smugly on the back of the truck!? Mr. **'s response to this question, as well as all other questions: "I don't know. I wasn't there".
I never received any indication that the delivery men's behavior was unacceptable - not even an apology. Just refund of delivery fee and a hundred dollars for my trouble. A hundred dollars does not remedy the fact that I had to take the furniture in by myself, banging it up in the process (it started to rain); and that a piece of furniture was left on the lawn, after I told them to leave after being physically accosted over the dolly. After I asked them to leave, I immediately went into to my house and closed the door. The deliveryman never asked me for the dolly, he physically accosted me, trying to forcibly dump my furniture on my cement patio and take the dolly.
After they left and I felt safe to go out, I saw the furniture on my lawn! I even asked Mr. **, why the piece of furniture wasn't simply returned to the warehouse ("I don't know. I wasn't there."). Mr. ** refused to consider any other remedy, such as an additional 10% off the furniture, since it was left on the lawn! This 10% was lowered from the initial 30%, I had requested. Mr. ** told me to do whatever I felt I had to do, such as file a complaint with the BBB.

I bought my La-Z-Boy sofa a few years back. Last year my recliner on the left side of my sofa broke. I called La-Z-Boy because I remembered that the recliner was covered for life. I was told all the parts are in fact covered but I would have to pay the labor charges or 100-200 per hour. I was stunned. Now because they don't know exactly what needs to be fixed until they actually look inside I was told to expect to pay anywhere from 100-400 to fix. And that is on the low end.
Again, stunned. I can buy a brand new recliner for that much. I don't understand how that could ever be considered reasonable. I was also warned that having someone else fix this sofa can void the warranty. So here I sit, stuck with a broken sofa that I will not pay crazy amounts of money to fix. So I recently ordered the blue prints for this couch in the hopes of fixing it myself. In the end I know that a new sofa is in my future. And I promise you this it won't be a La-Z-Boy.

My wife and I purchased two Laz-boy chairs about 1 1/2 years ago. Both chairs are the Maverick line, hers is a wall hugger recliner and mine is a recliner rocker with remote control. I just want to say that they are the most amazingly comfortable chairs we have ever owned. I had a Laz-boy recliner for over 20 years before buying the new chairs and I highly recommend them. It was one of those things you look back on and say "now that was a good buy".

I purchased items from La-Z-Boy about a month ago. We had a problem because what they delivered wasn't what I'd ordered. I'd ordered a couch and they brought two chairs and a couch. The one chair was fine. And the other chair would have been fine cause I ended up with it anyhow. The delivery team was very good but the couch that they brought was not what I ordered.
So we went back to explain what happened. They were very nice and everything worked out. The lady that we had when we went back the second time, she was an interior designer, was very good. We were very angry at first but she helped us because we waited six weeks and then we didn't get what we wanted, and I didn't have any furniture in my living room all that time. Then I had to wait longer. But it all worked out.
So far, now that I have the items, I like them very well. We did order something that didn't come yet. But they said that it would be samples. I ordered some of them to make some arm sleeves and when they delivered the furniture, they said that they would come later, so I assume they're on their way.

I am so angry, and upset AND STRESSED with La-Z-Boy. I've had a total of 2 now 3rd recliner that is defective and others... I had one recliner and it was defective. Another one was really bad... All they wanted to do was repair, repair and put more energy into parts. The fabric, the entire chair was terrible. That's not the first recliner, then the second recliner is also terrible. Now I'm waiting for the 3rd one and the delivery kids gave my recliner to a wrong customer in Branford and I live in Niantic... MY RECLINER IS NOW USED BECAUSE THEY BROUGHT IT TO SOME GUY IN BRANFORD... WHO SAID IT WAS TOO BIG... IT WAS MY RECLINER AND NOW THEY ARE BRINGING IT BACK TO ME THIS EVENING AFTER SOMEONE HAS ALREADY SAT IN IT. I DON'T WANT THIS USED CHAIR. I WANT A NEW RECLINER...
I've had so, so much bad luck w/ La-Z-Boy. I don't want to do the same again ever so I won't ever, ever order any furniture ever... I wish to share my grief with everyone I know and spread the word. I'm just waiting for this recliner which I paid for to arrive and fingers crossed... but who know what will happen. Such a bad company. Oh I'm sure they will call me after this review... but that's the way I feel. La-Z-Boy, do you know how much time I've spent waiting for your tech to visit me to check out these reclines? Took a lot of time out of my days. I should charge you!!
I also purchased 2-3 La-Z-Boy recliners from Raymour & Flanigan a few years ago and they were also defective. What's going on with the La-Z-Boy Company and the recliners? I have a need for a recliner as I've had 3 back surgeries and now needing 2 shoulder replacements. I'm so dissatisfied with the company. I won't EVER purchase again as I will definitely pursue and go to another good recliner company. I will keep this USED RECLINER UNTIL THEY REORDER, ORDER ME A BRAND NEW ONE THAT NO ONE HAS SAT IN.

We needed a special size of recliner to go in a room so we decided to get two recliners from La-Z-Boy. We went to their gallery and the sales rep was nice and showed us the chairs and told us about them. She was very good. She knew her merchandise and she went over it with us and she showed us three or four, and then we ordered a pair. The cost and the quality of the furniture were fine. We got them on time and it was perfectly fine. Two men delivered them and they were very easy to talk to. They were professional and they put the things where they belonged. They were very good.

My latest experience with La-z-boy has been horrible. Due to this experience I am not going to recommend La-z-boy to anyone who asks. I received my chairs on the 4th of July. Initial inspection did not show any issues with the chairs. Further inspection later determined that the legs of the chairs had deep gouges in the back and one of the seats of the chair had something loose with the springs.
I called to schedule someone to come out and I was told that I am not eligible for service calls and would have to pay a $99 dollar inspection fee. I stated that this was untrue and that I have purchased with them in the past and that my current order should fall under the limited warranty. After spending two days waiting for a call back I finally was able to schedule someone to come to my home. I explained that like most people I work during the day and would not be home until 3:30 pm. I was told that this information would be noted on my record for the technician.
The next day I received a call at 1:15 pm saying that the technician was on his way. I explained again (to the same person) that I was not going to be home until after 3:30 pm. They understood and ended the call. At 3:00 pm I received another phone call that the technician was at my home and waiting. I explained (for the 3rd time) that I would not be home and what was the point of having a note on my file if it didn't appear to make a difference. The person on the phone apologized and stated that they could reschedule the tech to come out and that the earliest would be September 2nd (over a month later).
I was upset and wanted to speak with the manager and was told she was not in the office but that she would call me back that following Monday. I never received any follow-up phone call from anyone to date and had to call yet again. This type of customer service is horrible and I am so disappointed in a company that raves about quality but lacks in customer service.

I’ve had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for the last 25 years. I just purchased a new power sofa, loveseat and ottoman from La-Z-Boy. The cost is high, but the quality is there. Their designer was very good and their sales rep was very informative and helped me with the cost. They were wonderful.

I didn’t like the furniture I had. They had a button on the side where you bring the recliners up and I couldn’t close them and I wanted the one with the lever. La-Z-Boy had the levers on their sofas, loveseats and the one on the recliner, which makes it a lot easier to get in and out of, so I bought my furniture from them. We bought it in October and we left for Florida in November and I wasn’t going to have it delivered till I returned in April. So when I came back in April, my furniture was supposed to be put in a warehouse. But when it came out, the recliner was wrong.
So we got the sofa and the loveseat, but I had a couple of week’s problem with the recliner. It was supposed to have a bottom base that lifted it up three inches or so. For some reason, they never had it in stock. That was a little goofy, but they did send me out a recliner and we kept it and then they took it back. They sent me another one out and that still didn’t have the base. The third time the base came by mail and they sent the repairman to put it on so the issue has been resolved. I didn’t have any problem with the delivery people. I didn’t have the same people all the time, but the different ones that came were quite helpful.

We have purchased over $13k in furniture from La-Z-Boy in the past year. We have paid a large portion of it off and had credit on our La-Z-Boy credit card so went into their store this Labor Day weekend to purchase some new items. We spent over 2.5 hours choosing over $6k in new furniture. At the time of payment they tell us we now have to pay for 50% of it some other way besides using their card. What??? You even had us increase our limit on the card so we could pay for what we were getting today and then you spring this on us!! Not a word was mentioned about this by either the sales or finance manager the entire time we were there. Not only did they try not to work it out with us, they just let us walk out the door extremely upset. Please forewarn your potential or repeat customers about this. What a crock, we will never be purchasing from La-Z-Boy again, what a crock!!!

I bought the Trevor couch and love seat approximately four years ago and have replaced 13 springs. La-Z-Boy has been great about sending new springs when we call but the fact that we have had to replace them with such regularity is very disappointing. The Harbor Town Reclina-Rocker has a spring that just broke this weekend. Time to call La-Z-Boy again. Wish they spent less on advertising and more on their product. Quality just isn't what it used to be.

We recently bought a sofa and a loveseat from La-Z-Boy. RJ the salesman at the gallery was great. Even though scheduling the delivery took us a long time because they had to bill it, it was perfect and the delivery guys were wonderful. They knew what they were doing and they did it right the first time. We were really surprised because when we moved into this house, we had a lot of trouble getting the old furniture in here, which was pretty good-sized too. But this one, they had no trouble at all. They just walked through the door with it and they put it and they got the old one out of here real easy. The couches came completely protected and they were clean and neat, even the plastic wasn't dirty. They removed all the plastic and set them up beautifully.They were really good and the quality of the furniture is excellent. We've recommended them to a couple of people.

My son needed furniture and he needed a lot of help so we ended up buying furniture - a power sofa and recliner. The sales rep at the La-Z-Boy store was fantastic and furniture delivery was very fast. They're in and out real good. We didn't have no problems at all. We're very satisfied with your furniture, we're satisfied with the motion. I have very bad arthritis in my legs so it worked very well. Were very happy with it. The quality is good... We shopped around a lot. I’m all about buying American so my one question was is it made in this country, and I was assured it was, except the textile they had to go out to get that.

On July 5, 2014, I ordered a recliner, a reclining loveseat, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Since the loveseat was a special order I was told it would not be available until mid-August. I was in no hurry, because it was critical that all three pieces be delivered at the same time. My schedule is so hectic that trying to schedule multiple deliveries was out of the question. This fact was duly noted on the sales order. I paid half as a deposit, with the balance due when the furniture was in and ready for delivery.
On August 9, I received a call telling me my furniture was in and ready to be delivered. I paid the balance and scheduled delivery for August 23. I then proceeded to dispose of my old furniture. As promised, they called the night before and said the delivery would take place between 8:30 and 11:30 AM. They called again that morning when they were 1/2 hour away. So far I am thrilled because everything is going exactly as they had promised. Then the wheels come off the wagon. I received a call from a woman at the warehouse, telling me that the loveseat and sleeper would not be delivered. She said "when they took them out of the box last night, they had defects..." although she could not elaborate on what the defects were or when my furniture would be ready for delivery. (She was obviously talking from a script.) The recliner was delivered.
Then I started dealing with Linda, from the Paramus store. She was absolutely terrific, and it's because of her doing her dead-level best, that I did not cancel the order right then and there. She worked with the warehouse and they told her on Tuesday, August 26 that both pieces were ready for delivery. I managed to rearrange my schedule to be free on Friday August 29 and delivery was scheduled for that day. I was assured that both pieces would be delivered. Again they called the night before and said the delivery would take place between 8:30 and 11:30 AM. That night, the woman from the warehouse called and left a message that the sleeper would not be delivered. Here comes the script part - She said "when they took it out of the box last night, it had defects..." Why was it in a box if it had just been repaired?? They called again that morning when they were 20 minutes away. They delivered the loveseat.
When I called the store totally enraged, Linda was absolutely flabbergasted; the warehouse had clearly lied to her, as they had to me. Bottom line is that I will now wait for a new shipment of sleepers, hope that they (or at least one) do not "have defects when they take them out of the box". They are scheduled to arrive September 10 and now I have to re-arrange my schedule AGAIN for a delivery September 13. Again, Linda was terrific and said she will refund the delivery charge, but who is going to compensate me for the number of days I had to take off work and I still don't have a sleeper?
I would not be so angry if I had not made is clear that it would really cause me a hardship to have to deal with multiple deliveries, that I was willing to wait until all three pieces were ready, and it was noted on the order form.

I’ve had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for a long time. I recently bought a new recliner from La-Z-Boy because of my diabetes problem. My foot is giving me trouble, and the doctor came up with the idea that I need a different type of chair. He told me if I find one to buy it. I got lucky and found one at La-Z-Boy, and it works right.
I’ve always recommended La-Z-Boy and would definitely continue to recommend them. If they have what you want get it, if they don’t then go elsewhere. In my case, I got what I wanted and I’m happy. Quality-wise, I don’t think you can beat La-Z-Boy. We must have bought around ten chairs from La-Z-Boy over the years. We had one problem with one and they fixed that so quick it made my head spin. Of course the price has definitely gone up some, but I’m not worried about that. My foot is more important than the cost of the chair.
My experience with everybody, from the sales associate to the delivery, were fine all the way. There was one thing, however, that surprised me. When I was in the store and I bought the chair, I asked a question about getting rid of the older chair and the girl told me that they don’t take them away “but we will take it out to the curb for you.” I said, “Okay, that’s fine.” When the guys came to deliver it, I said, “You’re gonna take it out, right?” He said, “Yeah, we’ll take it out. We can get rid of it for you, if you want.” I said, “You can? They told me you couldn’t.” He says, “Oh, yeah, we can, for 50 bucks. We’ll take it away.” I didn’t know about this service, and these guys made me aware of it.

La-Z-Boy made my chair with the things I wanted on it. So I had to wait for it till they finished it and my son picked it up. I didn't pay for delivery and we had to put it together here. But it wasn't an easy job to do it. It sits on a stand and it was very difficult putting it on. Luckily, I had my sons... my son got it on. Aside from that, they gave me the metal handle instead of a wooden handle. Since they were making them, I didn’t understand why they didn’t have the chair with the material we wanted at the store. But that was fine. That’s the only beef I got about it.
I've had La-Z-Boy furniture for 20 years. They last me pretty long. The chair I've been using for a lot of years - they call it my chair, and whenever I’m not at home, nobody sits in my chair. I like La-Z-Boys. This was my third purchase. I got a new one because my other one was wearing down.

La-z-Boy does NOT, repeat N.O.T. offer any delivery options!!! I called to see when my custom order would be in and my sales associate, Jennifer in the Oak Brook, IL store, said that it was in. Oh good. "When is it going to be delivered?" "Well, we deliver on Thursdays." "Oh good, because I have a 1/2 day off scheduled for Thursday. Put me down for the afternoon." "No, can't do that. They'll have to call you on Wednesday and you can tell them when you're available." "Okay, well, then call me at work on Wednesday (not home) because I'm not home on Wednesday." "Okay, what's the work number?" __-__-__. "Great."
Wednesday - no call at work. I thought I would drop by the store and see what they were planning on doing about the delivery. Mike said "yes, you're scheduled for tomorrow between 8:30 am and 11:30 am." Hmmm....that's not going to work. I took the afternoon off because I have meeting in the mornings and can't be there - so when the person who was supposed to call me at work, and didn't, to schedule the time, I would tell them that I'm not home in the morning, but I'm available all afternoon. But Mike said that the truck is already packed and there's nothing he can do. I said, "well maybe we can call them." And Mike said, no, but he can send them an email to tell them not to come.
I said, "Mike, you're not even trying to help me. You just keep saying that you can't do anything about it. Mike, I called two days ago so that we wouldn't have this problem. Mike, they wouldn't let me talk to scheduling or I would have told them I'M NOT THERE ON THURSDAY MORNING. I CAN'T BE THERE ON THURSDAY MORNING." He said, "then they'll just bring it back to the warehouse and you can reschedule." "FOR WHEN? YOU DIDN'T LET ME SCHEDULE IT THE FIRST TIME??????" I never found a more worthless associate in all my life!
So here I am. I'm without furniture in my front room because I donated it yesterday and I have no idea when, if ever I'll get my two recliners. I have also ordered a couch from La-z-Boy, which I now know was named after MIKE! 8/26/14.

I was so excited to order 2 new recliners for my new home -- but it has turned out to be an expensive horror! When you sit in the chairs, you are plunged forward to the point of ejection unless you immediately go to a full recline. Even my cats refuse to sit on them as they end up rolling off onto the floor! When I phoned customer service, they said they could fix the tilt. Well, they sent a repairman who changed the swivel to a stationary rocker saying "all swivels plunge forward" (not told to me at time of purchase). He also said that "You have to be taller to fit in this type of chair". Again, not true of floor model which I had tried several times prior to purchase!
If that wasn't bad enough, the repairman then said it was MY responsibility to return the removed base to store for credit. I did so, only to be told to "take it back home in case I ever want to sell the chairs" as they could do NOTHING for me! I now find myself stuck with 2 expensive chairs that are absolutely unusable! To make matters worse, I received a call from a debt collector saying my account was "past due" -- this was for the month that they were delivered BEFORE I had even received my first billing!!!!! (By the way, my credit score is 801! ) NOT HAPPY!!!!! WOULD NEVER AGAIN RETURN TO OR SUGGEST LA-Z-BOY!!!

We had La-Z-Boy furniture for 20 years and recently bought a new house so we decided it's time to purchase a new furniture. The cost and the quality of the furniture is good and it's nice. The sales representative at La-Z-Boy was very helpful. She let me walk around and take a look and then she would answer any questions I had. The sales associate was fine too. We had a specific time frame for delivery and they were able to meet that.

We purchased two recliners from La-Z-Boy about a year ago, a sofa about four months ago and another recliner just very recently. The first sales representative I had was a young lady, or actually, a lady more about my age; an elderly lady, and she has retired. She did a very good job on the two chairs and the sofa. And then, when I went back, I worked with the gentleman who was the manager at the Oleander Store in Wilmington, North Carolina. He’s absolutely outstanding!
He did a fantastic job on all of his follow-up on the fact that we had a chair that we didn’t like and we wanted to take back. He said, “No problem at all. Bring it right on up here.” And he helped me get it out of the car and put it in the warehouse and he went in and worked with us on deciding what we wanted. He would answer questions for us, leave us alone to think about it, come back, answer more questions for us. In other words, he didn’t hover over us the whole time and he was just a really, really good customer service person, a really good salesman, a really good manager.
I finally bought another chair that we actually had the same fabric put on that chair. It took a little bit longer for delivery, but we were very satisfied. Talking about delivery, all delivery teams were very professional, very prompt. They called and let me know way ahead of time when they were coming so I knew what to expect. They came in and they knew exactly what they were doing. They set the products up and left them in good shape and they did a good job.
I would highly recommend La-Z-Boy. I don’t think their furniture is made like it was 10, 15 years ago but the quality of their furniture is BETTER THAN a lot of the competition. We actually got a Lowe sofa and we were totally unhappy with it. We sent it back and it was probably $300 or $400 more than the La-Z-Boy. We also bought two recliners from the same furniture company where we bought the Lowe and we sent those back as well. They were terrible.

My husband and I just purchased a new couch style, Bree from the Huntsville Alabama store. We bought it because of the La-Z-Boy name and reputation. We have had it for two days. It is incredibly comfortable, however we noticed after two days the cushions on the side my husband has been sitting on have already changed in appearance. The density of the cushion and foam is not regaining its original form and shape after use. My husband is a well built man at 6 foot 219 lbs. The couch should be able to withstand his weight but is not. I contacted the manager and was told I have 3 days to return or there will be a restocking charge and they have not had any complaints about this particular couch. I love it but I have reservations on keeping it.

The kids have gotten to the old stuff so we bought new stuff, a sofa and recliners from La-Z-Boy. The place that I ended up buying it from wasn't the first La-Z-Boy place that I visited. The one I bought it from was actually extremely helpful. The sales rep was wonderful. They were very, very helpful. Even the guys who delivered the furniture were nice.
I would recommend buying furniture from La-Z-Boy. This was not our first purchase. We've had other La-Z-Boy furniture in our home. We've had them for almost 10 years now. So far so good, in terms of the quality of their furniture.

Purchased two rocker/recliners on 7/29 and 7/30. I complained about the noise it makes when putting it down, they sent a service man and he stated (in a very professional way) that is the way they are constructed. After making a few adjustments, I was still not happy and neither is my neighbors. (HORRIBLE NOISE) Thought I would bring this to your attention because I have had Lazy-boy recliners for years and never have been dissatisfied with them.

In August of 2013, we ordered 2 recliners and a sofa from the Kennesaw, GA La-Z-Boy store. The furniture was represented as high end at this point and priced accordingly. No one mentioned that any of La-Z-Boy furniture was made in China, much less they're supposedly high end product. We were satisfied with the purchase until a few weeks ago, when the color on one of the leather recliners 'rubbed off'. The color come off after cleaning with a damp cloth. We called the store and some time later, a tech arrived to examine the recliner. He couldn't understand it either and agreed that it should not have happened.
That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. We never heard anymore from anyone else until today, when we got a call stating that we could pay $175 for someone to come back to examine the chair. No offer has been made to fix or replace the recliner! It seems obvious that they do not intend to stand behind their product. This happened AFTER we find out that the supposedly 'high end' product was made in China; the leather was dyed only on the outside. In my 63 years on this earth and countless purchases of leather products, this is the first time I have ever seen the color on leather simply rub off.
This is an inferior and defective product, and, as far as I am concerned, was misrepresented upfront. I was not aware that this company, which I have dealt with for many, many years was now following suit with everyone else in the US and having their products produced in China. I am sorely disappointed and upset by this whole thing and intend to never, ever do business with them again!! Whoever reads this and wherever you read it, as a buyer, you had better beware. Ask a lot of questions before you agree to anything. This is not the company they used to be!

We recently purchased a power lift chair and a power recliner from La-Z-Boy. We're getting ready to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we've had La-Z-Boy for years. We just replaced one after another. Also, we purchased it because of health issues. We've had a variety of ones through the years but our orthopedic doctor suggested that we go up to the remote in La-Z-Boy. With some, you have to press down with your legs and some that you pull a side lever. There are others that you just lean back and it worked. And he suggested that we try to go to the remote because it would be less wear and tear on our ageing joints.
We talked to a sales representative at the La-Z-Boy Gallery named Denise and then afterwards, with a gentleman. He might be the manager and he connected with us a couple of times. He was really wonderful and we really liked him. He was very nice, very approachable. We were able to call him back a couple of times. He was very helpful. And the delivery young man was extraordinary. I even called back to the store and said how extraordinary he was, both times because the order came split; a couple of weeks between them and we had the same young man both times. I thought he was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. We haven't had somebody in the delivery mode that good in years. He's really tops.
We did have a very odd problem. One of the chairs broke within just a couple of days. Everybody thought that was really surprising. I don't believe we were even really sitting in it. We hit against it and the wooden frame on the rocker came. We called right away and everybody was good. I couldn't sit in the chair for a couple of weeks while we were waiting for somebody to come out to do the repair. We had someone out twice because there was one concern about the leather; was it okay?
So a gentleman came out and said it was fine. Then he said he'd never seen anything like this. He said it was the first in his book. And he also was super nice. He worked on it twice, and so far so good. I was a little afraid to sit in it right afterwards, but my husband has given it a couple of test rides for me so we're doing okay. We were just surprised to have a problem so soon, but so far, everybody's been wonderful and I'm hopeful that if we have another problem with this chair, we'll send it back and have a new one sent.
I think the quality of the furniture is beautiful. I think it was a little bit pricey, but we did purchase leather and we did get the warranties. So that's probably pumped and we also did get the memory foam. We pumped the price ourselves actually. So probably, without all that, it wouldn't have seemed quite up there, but I still thought it's a beautiful product. The chairs are beautiful and we're very pleased with them.

I feel very much at home. In fact, that's what I said when I sat down in the furniture store to pick out the one I wanted. That was a big day in my life when this arrived; I had to wait about a month. My interactions with the sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery were absolutely perfect. She was on her toes, knew all the stocks and exactly where to take me to get what I wanted, and I enjoyed the experience with her. I'm also very happy with the quality of the furniture and the cost was very fair. The delivery scheduling was very satisfactory and I couldn't believe how fast they brought it in and got on their way. They were very swift. Now that I have my recliner, I'm in it most of the day and I sleep in it quite a bit at night. It's kind of like my round-the-clock companion.

My wife and I bought a recliner (Tarleton) from La-Z-Boy on 11/08/2013 for $1500.00. The leather on the backside of the arm is literally peeling (Renew). The serviceman came out and said the staples on the underside were scratching the leather. So he proceeded to nail them back in and took pics of the arm. He also took pics of our seat, which he pointed out that it was fading. All this and it is not even a year old. The customer service is very bad. You call and they don't even return your call. This Renew leather is a recycle product. Two things that the salesperson did not tell us - MADE IN CHINA with RECYCLE PRODUCTS!!!!

We recently purchased furniture from La-Z-Boy as the old furniture was too old. The sales representative, Christina, was completely awesome. I'm going to go to her for everything. She was knowledgeable, helpful and really quick to help me sort through things and it takes me a long time to figure things out. The furniture is awesome too. We are totally enjoying it. The delivery was very positive. They came, delivered and left with no issues. I had a few questions and they answered them. I have no complaints, one way or the other. La-Z-Boy has a good reputation and they more than exceeded that reputation.

I have never been so victimized by a business as the way La-Z-Boy is handling my transaction with them. I paid for a chair in full. I handed them my credit card, they received my payment, and gave me a receipt as proof of purchase stating that the transaction was complete and there was a zero balance. 2 1/2 months later, when my order comes in, they finally tell me that they've known that they made a mistake on the day I made this purchase. They didn't charge enough on my credit card. They didn't think to contact me at the time, but all I have to do to schedule delivery is pay them an additional $300!!! I am not allowed to cancel my order or they are threatening to keep a $300 deposit. So their reasoning in all of this is that I'm going to be out $300 either way. Why not have a chair to show for it?! I have a receipt, a bill of sale, a proof of purchase and they will not honor the contract and deliver the chair. Now it's me versus La-Z-Boy and their lawyers. 3 complaints against them on the Better Business Bureau in the last 6 months.....It's not just me. These guys are criminals!!! Take your business elsewhere!!

I bought a sofa and 2 recliners chair in August of 2013 (paid cash) totally over 3,000.00. Within 7 months the sofa frame (wood) broke for the back rest - at the same time I noticed the 2 recliners arm rest lost their cushions. I had to used pillows so the side of the arm chairs because it hurt the side of your body. I called the number because I had a guarantee on the furniture and asked for a new sofa and 2 recliners because I only had the chair less than 1 year. Of course, that did not happen. I was told someone from La-Z-Boy will come and inspect the furniture. 2 weeks later someone came and agreed on my complaints. I was told it will take about 6 weeks. Mind you I had a broke frame in the sofa.
I waited for 5 weeks. NEVER received a call after several phone calls speaking to **. I demanded a call back from a manager. I received a call back from ** who actually help in getting the sofa corrected within 1 week (due to the danger of a broken frame). Now the new challenge was to get my 2 recliner corrected. I did asked ** about them. She stated they were waiting for the order of the cushions. They will call me 3 weeks later. NEVER received a call. I call the 408 283-5588 and spoke to someone and stated they had the order and someone will be out there on the 15th of August. The tech was here. Mr. ** (Sr. Tech) brought a piece of the sofa to be replaced (from the broken frame) and 2 very cheap looking cushion for only 2 armrest.
After I told him the sofa was already fixed and he looked at the armchairs he stated the cushions will not work and I needed 4 cushions. I explained to him my frustration with La-Z-Boy since this started in April of this year. He felt that if he could take the 2 chairs back to the warehouse and he could fixed it correctly. However, I needed 2 chairs to replaced the ones he was taking so he suggested maybe loaners. He was going to put this in his notes and I was going to call the 408 283 5588 also. Mr ** also stated he was busy - it may take another 3 weeks (not acceptable).
I called on that day (15th) spoke to **, explained everything. She stated she read Mr **’ s notes. However the manager was gone for the day and she will call me on Monday. I told her no one NEVER calls me back. However she told me she would. I waited until Tuesday - I received NO PHONE CALL. So I called again, spoke to **, who stated the Manager was not in on Monday but she is in today. I told her that again someone should of informed it. ** stated she will call me by the end of the day.
Here it is Wednesday NO CALL so I called and spoke to **, who asked ** and now the story is they are waiting to hear from the warehouse on if they have 2 recliners chair to give me as a loaner. ** stated she will call me no later than Thursday PM. I asked for the phone number, department or email address for complaints. I was told by ** that they are the complaint center and they handle all complains. She would not give me a name. I went on the internet and found this .
I'm so upset about your service. At this point I should get 2 new recliners and a new sofa with all this problems I am having. I only had this furniture less than a year. I can’t even have it repair. I have to make several calls. At this point I will be contacting the BBB and maybe get advice on legal action. I don’t feel doing this will help. But I need to tried to work within your TERRIBLE SYSTEM to a point. MY INSPECTION WAS DONE ON APRIL 29, 2014 to get everything corrected. IT IS NOW AUGUST 20th. HELP, HELP, HELP.

We have La-Z Boy sofas and with one of our sofas, we had to have the cushions put in but the mechanism works well and it held up real well. I've had my chair for 10 years and I'm still using it and recently bought one for my wife.

I went into the Towson, MD store and saw a recliner we liked. The price was $1,649.00 minus 20% Labor Day Sale. As I checked the tag I found the material tag and it showed the price is $1,449.00. I showed it to the sales manager who first said it was a typo. All the fabric prices were listed, so he then said it was the old tag. We pulled the tag out and found the new tag. Same price. He then denied he jacked up the retail price before applying the discount. We looked at other recliners and found the same. La-Z-Boy can charge whatever they want but this is not honest. You cannot get an online price, so there is no way to really determine if this is a single store issue.

We ordered 2 different recliners with same fabric. After about 2 years, the seats were giving way and the fabric was wearing out. We took the bottom half of my husband's chair into the store because they weren't doing anything for us. The manager agreed the fabric should not be doing what it was doing and replaced the seat. The footrest wasn't as wide as the original but we were glad it was fixed. Here it is, a year and a half later, and the fabric is wearing out again. Also, I'm sitting on a memory foam pad on my $1000 recliner because the seat is uncomfortable. La-z-boy, which used to stand by its product, isn't doing a thing for us. We've been customers since 1986 and have always liked their products and the way they have held up for decades. NOT ANY MORE!!! Purchase at your own risk.

I buy all my couches and chairs from La-Z-Boy. I've had La-Z Boy furniture in my home for 28 years or so. The little borders on my couch were starting to wear. You could see the wear just in little places. I had also bought a real light colored couch the last time and I found that's really hard to keep clean. Over a period of time, a light-colored couch just doesn't look as pretty as it did when you first got it. I went with something dark that does not show dirt. It was just starting to wear out and it needed to either be recovered or replaced. And if you recover something, you might as well go out and buy new. And so I bought a new couch.
There was a couch that I particularly liked and I had looked at it several times and every time I came in, I would talk to somebody. I did ask them about it and what kind of fabrics it came in and all that, and they told me the swatches were there on the chair and stuff. And I said I'll go look at them and I'll see what they have. When I finally decided to buy, I went in there and I said I want that couch and chair over there. Up until then, the sales representatives at the La-Z Boy gallery were real nice. They would come and show me anything I wanted to look at. When I knew that the couch and chair I wanted came in red, I thought I got to have this couch and chair. And I'm setting aside the money right now.
Regarding the delivery, they had told me that since it was a special order, they would call me when it came in and that at that time, we'd set up a delivery. Well, it came in really much sooner than I had even thought it would because they had said it would take six to ten weeks. I don't even think it took six and I was just thrilled when it came in. Of course, we set up the delivery right away and the guys came. It was so funny because right before when the guy calls me, it had come a torrential downpour. And so the guy called me. He said that they have my couch and chair and they're coming to me in a boat. Well, I started laughing because it was pouring out there. So it was wonderful. They did a great job. The guys were just super.
Now about the quality of our new furniture, it is wonderful. I just like the way it looks and the way it sits. And I got what I wanted this time. The last time, I had bought T-cushions and that was a big mistake. I won't ever buy T-cushions again because there's only one way you can turn them. These cushions, you can take the cushion out and you can actually turn this any way you want to. Whereas a T-cushion, you can take it out of there and do whatever but you're only going to get that cushion to go one way. It will just flip over one time and that's it. And this, you can flip it four different ways. You could actually take the cushion out and turn it around. If the front gets a little low, then you just switch it around and you're good to go. I just absolutely love it.
The cost of La-Z-Boy is always more but I just like it because I can always find something in La-Z-Boy that I like. I've been to all these other places and I've walked all over Haynes and never saw anything that I liked. And I can always go in La-Z-Boy and find a couch and chair that I like. That in itself says something to me. And it is just good stuff. It's solid and it's made good and you don't worry about it wearing out. It'll last a good 10 years. I like the way it looks and the way it sits. And so far, it's great.
Now I always tell everybody about La-Z-Boy. Once you buy something from La-Z-Boy, you won't go anywhere else. I always have bought everything ever since the first couch I saw and wanted and I got it. From that day on, La-Z-Boy's all we ever bought. In fact, when he and I split up, he took the La-Z-Boy couch that was in the den and I kept the La-Z-Boy couch that was in the living room. So I've had La-Z-Boy couches ever since and I replace them. They end up getting replaced. They'll last about 10 years but I would put them up against any other couch because I don't think any other couch would last any longer than that, unless it was leather and I don't like leather.

We use our La-Z-Boy furniture every day. We purchased a sofa, table and accessories and we are pleased. We don't do a whole lot of TV watching but when we do, the older sofa was not giving that support so we decided to look around. We wanted something that we thought were going to be a little more comfortable and provide a little more support. We saw a good deal at the clearance store and we capitalized on that. The sales representatives were all good and very helpful. Everything went well with the delivery. It was timely and was a good experience. We're glad we got it and the money was well spent.

I bought one of those electric recliners that would sit up and lay down back in 2005 or 2006. Right now I’m having it refurbished. But I recently bought new furniture from La-Z-Boy. I've only had it about a month. I found a sofa that I wanted and also bought a table because I liked the shape. However I I had no idea it was a lift table and didn't know what a lift table was. With that sofa, the lift table was too high. So it’s not too convenient. But it’s a beautiful table! So I like what I got and I’m happy with what I got.
Sue from the gallery was a sweetheart. She came to the house and we had a delightful chat. The sales associate that scheduled my delivery was very accommodating and knowledgeable and was just a sweetheart. I had no problems at all. Just a couple of weeks ago, I had an invitation to one of La-Z-Boy’s open houses and that was very nice. I saw some accessories I’m putting in my mind together but I can’t accessorize yet.
Quality of the furniture is so far, so good. I have recommended them to a friend.

I’ve recently purchased a love seat, recliner, and other items from La-Z Boy. This was actually the second time I’ve purchased from them. I bought my very first piece, a recliner, four or five years ago. For this second purchase, I needed a sofa to replace my other one because it wasn’t comfortable, and it just happened that after five stores, La-Z Boy was the one that I really wanted.
The sales representative was really good. He knew exactly when I needed attention and when I needed to be left alone, and it was perfect. Some of the items needed to be made because I didn’t take the color off the floor. The sales associate called me and let me know when my furniture was going to be done, so we scheduled an appointment to have it delivered. The delivery team was awesome. They were very friendly and arrived right on time. They gave me a four-hour window for the delivery, and I must have been the first person on their agenda because I got my furniture at the beginning of the four-hour window. I love the quality of the La-Z-Boy furniture. They weren’t necessarily cheap, but I needed comfort over cheap.

I've recently made my first purchase with La-Z-Boy. I needed something comfortable to watch TV from so I got it. The quality of the furniture is good. As for the sales representatives at the gallery and overall experience with La-Z-Boy, everything was fine.

My old furniture was bad so I purchased a reclining sofa from La-Z-Boy a month ago. The salesperson was awesome. She's informative and knowledgeable. She was very good all around. And the furniture, so far so good although it's little on the higher side of the things that I was looking at. The delivery team was good and perfect. It was a quick and painless transaction.

I purchased a sofa, ottoman and other items from La-Z-Boy. It is my first purchase from them. I purchased a new home so I bought new furniture. The quality is so far, so good. I haven’t had it that long. I don't know how it will hold up on the wear-and-tear, but I’m happy with it. It was on the high end. I would have liked to purchase the furniture protection that they had but the cost of the furniture was just so expensive itself that I couldn’t do it. I think it’s a little high but obviously not so unreasonably high that I didn’t purchase it.
The sales representatives were very nice, very helpful, not overly pushy. I had a good experience. Also, sales associates were pretty helpful. I actually had to reschedule and they were helpful with that. Moreover, the delivery team was great. I had two separate deliveries, and everybody was professional, they were quick. The only thing about the delivery that I did not like is that the first time I had to look the day before the delivery to find out the time frame it was going to be delivered. I work full time so it’s very difficult for me to figure out whether to take the morning off or the afternoon off. The second delivery was not bad. I’d recommend La-Z-Boy. I thought the staff was really good, I came in once to look and they made it very easy.

We purchased a La-Z-Boy loveseat 7 years ago and the left seat has broken down. We tried to find out how it could be repaired at the authorized repair facility for La-Z-Boy here in Anchorage today and they had no idea how to fix it or what we could do to fix it ourselves. Curious if the cushions are removable and, if so, can we do it ourselves? Model is 32-589 LDS2 D884074. Not sure if these numbers will help or not. Appreciate any help we can get because we paid $1849 for this loveseat which is a rather high price in my book 7 years ago. Only one person has been sitting in this loveseat and he is an adult... The upholstery looks brand new.. It is just the seat cushion which is broken down on one side.

We were moving, and our old loveseat and sofa was just uncomfortable. If you sat on them, they would dent really deep so that when you sat back, your feet wouldn’t even touch the floor. So I was always sitting with my legs on the side or up on the couch. I liked the design and I liked the way it looked, but it just wasn’t comfortable. So, I decided to purchase new furniture. I had been looking for a year and a half, when for some reason, I went to La-Z-Boy’s outlet store and found the exact sofa loveseat that I liked. Then I found the accent chair to go with it and they actually had pillows that matched the accent chair, hanging from one of those chains that could go on the sofa. I had been looking for so long, I was really relieved.
I never had leather furniture before, so I really didn’t know what to expect in terms of quality. Right now, it’s dusty since we’re in the process of moving. But I do know that the quality of this furniture is good. Since I also visited the regular La-Z-Boy store, I know how much the furniture originally cost, so I know I got a really good deal on it. But anytime anybody’s buying furniture, it’s expensive, period.
The girl in the store was really nice. I think she was the manager there. The purchase was expensive so I was using two cards because both cards have a certain limit for each day. She helped me call the bank and talked to people on the phone. She was very friendly. We had other things to talk about aside from the furniture, which made me really comfortable. She and the other girl, the sales associate, worked together really well. I extremely appreciated the way the girls worked; I was really happy with that. It was a really good experience in as much as I was in love with the furniture.
However, the guys that delivered the furniture acted like they didn’t want to deliver it. One of them told me that it wasn’t gonna fit but I already knew that it would. It’s just a matter of the way they were handling it. They delivered it and it was fine, but I thought I had to put pressure on them. In the end it was definitely worth everything. And I do know I would recommend it.

We purchased two recliners from La-Z-Boy at different times. We bought one years ago, too. The sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery did a very good job. She was very helpful. The quality of the furniture was good. It was very comfortable and I thought the cost was fair. We looked at other places, but La-Z-Boy is right by our house, too. So we had no problems scheduling delivery. Also, we had no problems with the delivery. They had us check it all out. We inspected all and everything was fine. We really like our recliner rockers.

Twenty years ago, we got two La-Z-Boy chairs of which one we still have -- the buffalo wing chair. The other one died unfortunately, but it was a good chair; it just got worn out. We had two totally different experience at two stores purchasing a chair recently. There's a store on Route 59 in Naperville. I went in there with my wife to get a chair, picked out one that we wanted. But I've never had such a disgusting experience; in fact I walked out of the store. The chair was marked supposedly on sale. The woman who took care of us came back and said it's a totally different price now. I said that it was not what's on there. She insisted that it was wrong. It turned out that it wasn't mismarked at all as she looked up the wrong numbers in the system. I didn't like her attitude towards me, nor the store manager either, because once I got all done, I discovered I had to pay a delivery fee. I haven't done business with them in a long time but I don't remember ever paying the delivery fee. She said that it's policy. At that point in time, I lost it in the store. I don't have use for the person, the manager of that store, and I'll never go back into that store again, ever.
I was too ticked off to talk with Customer Service. My wife was mad at me because I lost my temper. So my wife and I went to this store in North Aurora, right off of I-88. The girl was absolutely great. The same chair was there, no problem. She got the pricing list and there was no difference in pricing. I had to pay the delivery fee, which by then I was over it. She was very helpful and got delivery all set up. I had to call in the next day as to change the delivery date as I had to take my wife to the doctor. She was fantastic and changed the date. The first store had an attitude problem and it was a horrid experience. Fortunately, I took a second chance and I'm glad I did, because the service that I got there is what I expect and that's how it was a long, long time ago. I understand things change and you have to pay delivery and all those other stuff. I don't like it but that's the way it goes. I wouldn't have been so upset if I wasn't treated the way I was treated the first time.

On 2-18-2014, we purchased a La-Z-Boy Recliner, Style 010709 for $435.57 total with tax from the galleries on Crestwood Blvd. in Birmingham, AL. We have been buying La-Z-Boy recliners for many years and have always been satisfied with their quality and workmanship... UNTIL we had a fire at our house that destroyed all our furniture a number of years ago.
We bought, from a local furniture dealer (Not La-Z-Boy) a LA-Z-BOY CERTIFIED recliner which was supposed to be a duplicate (we had the old order #) of our lost recliner. Everyone who sat in it said it was the most uncomfortable chair they'd ever used! We reshuffled the padding and did everything we could to change it... We returned it to the dealer who we believe just let it sit for 2 months (claiming a La-Z-Boy rep had looked at it) and then returned it to us, saying they could find nothing wrong with it. We finally just gave it away to a relative.
So, in 2014, hoping for a better experience, we bought the recliner mentioned at the first of these comments. It took 2 and 1/2 months to get it. When it arrived, we examined the recliner. Upside down, fabric edges were cut too long in some places and too short in others, resulting in a bad line of sewing, just SLOPPY! The last line of padding, from the front of the chair at the top, was sewn crooked, resulting in a sloping of the line, looked terrible. The sides of the chair were sewn right over the wood sides with no padding (I could swear the floor model had padding). The whole construction of this chair was just so sloppy - I can get better furniture than this at Ashley, which has horrible furniture!
We will not buy La-Z-Boy anymore. They have gone the path of almost everyone else - make it cheap and sloppy and try to convince everyone that a once wonderful name in merchandise still exists. I would not recommend Lazy-Boy to anyone!

I purchased a lift chair from La-Z-Boy because I needed the ability to get lifted up due to disability. I did everything online. They called to let me know when it was going to be delivered and the folks who delivered it were nice. The cost seems to be on the high side but so far, it's operating as expected. Other than the fact that it's shorter than I expected, the quality of the furniture is great.

Everyone at La-Z Boy was very helpful. Some of the furniture have very good quality. The cost was pretty fair. We just did some remodeling and we wanted a change. The decorator came out to our home to bring fabric and show us some sample fabric. We just have a minor problem with part of the reclining mechanism in the couch but they're coming to fix that. So other than that, there's no problem. Their sales associates were very pleasant in scheduling the delivery. In general, it went very well. I was happy with the customer service and the quick response to any questions we had.

We have serious complaints about the customer service (or lack thereof) we received at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. We write to share our experience in the hope that it helps inform your decision about any future furniture purchases you might make. The bottom line of this complaint is Don't buy from La-Z-Boy! This was not always our opinion. Many years ago, we purchased a sectional and chair from La-Z-Boy when we lived in Maryland. The service we received was exceptional, as was the quality of the furniture. We would still have the furniture to this day if we did not have to sell it to make ends meet following the 2008 financial crisis.
Fast-forward to this year and we were in the market for another sectional and chair to replace the poorly made furniture we had purchased a few years back. Since we had such a great experience at La-Z-Boy before, and since we loved the furniture, La-Z-Boy was our first choice. The closest La-Z-Boy to us at the time was Clearwater, Florida. Our salesperson, Gloria, was pleasant and helpful. She stated that we would receive the furniture in 6-8 weeks and that we had to pay extra to have the furniture delivered to our new apartment (we were moving June 30) since it was out of their service area. We agreed and made the purchase on June 7 totaling $3,050.63. We put down a deposit of $763.00.
We did not hear anything from Gloria or La-Z-Boy for the next 6 weeks. My wife called on July 17 and talked to Gloria. Gloria stated that that furniture was due to arrive in the warehouse on August 2 and would then need to be shipped to the Clearwater location and then scheduled for delivery. Since we now lived out of their service area, they could only deliver on a Friday. This would mean the furniture would not be received until outside the 6-8 week commitment made by Gloria in June. Needless to say, we were not happy, however, Gloria said she would keep us updated. She did not.
My wife called the Clearwater store on July 28 and was informed that Gloria was not in. She requested to speak to the store manager and was transferred to Josh. She relayed the information to Josh who was very disrespectful to my wife. At one point in the call, Josh said that there was no way that my wife talked to Gloria on July 17 because Gloria had been out on sick leave for the past 5 weeks. Josh stated that they did not have any dates in the system indicating when the furniture would arrive. He also stated that he tells the salespeople to never provide an estimated date, and that Gloria should not have told us the 6-8 weeks timeframe. Obviously, my wife was not happy with Josh's negative attitude and his lack of assistance, so she requested a contact at La-Z-Boy corporate. Josh provided information for Nick Ciago, VP of Sales. My wife called Nick several times over the next two weeks and never received a response.
I called Josh later that day and relayed the same information my wife did. I also asked him about the statement he made to my wife that she could not have talked to Gloria on July 17. He recanted his comments and said that he did not know if Gloria was in. He stated that Gloria and another salesperson had been on medical leave on and off the last two months and he did not have a sense of who was in when. I reiterated our frustration with the delay and he said he would investigate and get back to me. I asked him to call me every day until we received the furniture and said that we would be deciding whether or not to cancel the order.
Josh called me on July 29 and stated that he had left several messages with his purchasing agent. He had no other information at this time. Josh called me again two days later and stated that there was a chance that the furniture would be in the warehouse on August 1 but he could not be certain. He also said that he did not know when the furniture would be delivered. I thanked him for the call.
After talking with my wife, we decided to cancel the order since we still had no idea if or when we would receive our furniture. I called Josh and told him this. He stated that I could not cancel the order since it was a custom order. This is odd since we purchased the furniture with whatever fabric choice was standard. I stated that I would call corporate myself and he disconnected. Another call was made to Nick Ciago that he failed to return.
Interestingly, the Monday following. we received a call from Brian at the warehouse. He stated that the furniture would be delivered on August 8, a full nine weeks after we ordered it. Also interesting is that we paid extra for delivery that was outside their service area when there is a La-Z-Boy 10 miles from our new apartment. To this day we have not received any response from Nick Ciago and no other communication from Josh or Gloria. We are so unhappy with the experience that we will never shop at La-Z-Boy again. How very sad!

I was changing a room so I went on to purchase a sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy. They showed me around, I told them what I wanted and they helped me find what I was looking for - they were very helpful. The quality seems fine although the price is a little bit high, but it was fine. During delivery they called and told me when it was coming, and they came. They were great. I'm very satisfied.

Me and my wife were not home, only my 18 yo daughter was at home. We have a major appointment at five clock. But they’re coming at four clock. My daughter sees those guys coming so just let them in. They tell my daughter there’s a $10 for each piece removed but we already paid $160 for delivery fee. My daughter says she's scared... whatever they say, she just let them. I called the store to get the money back, but those guys just refunded $70, the $30 they don’t give me back. The store manager is very good. She returned the $100 deliver fee, so everything’s okay. But I’m not happy with what happened.
Another thing, while still waiting for one of the lamps, they say “we’re coming”. I called last week and they say wait for them. I wait one week. The day I call the sales lady say “I know who you are, I don’t know where’s the lamp.” I say, "You tell me that and I don’t want it." And they say, “No, no, no, you have to come in to our store to pick other lamps.” I say “I paid for that. I paid the lamp. You don’t care for me so you want to give me something else. That is kind of ridiculous." This is Wednesday, the store manager coming back, I say, “I want the lamp but how long you make me wait? Give me the time. You cannot tell me… I cannot wait that long...”

I ordered a leather reclining sofa in 3/14. When delivered initially, rejected sofa due to 2 tears in leather. 3-4 weeks later a repairman arrived, but he said it was unrepairable. 4-6 weeks later, UPS ships a replacement arm 1 that is also defective. 3-4 weeks later, UPS ships replacement arm 2 that has a tear in it. Now, I have a couple defective right sofa arms and a reclining sofa with a defective right arm. In 6/14 I was told a 3rd replacement was ordered (expedited delivery), but it's August and I've not received the 3rd right replacement and of course, I not heard from La-Z-Boy!

My overall experience with La-Z-Boy was very pleasant. It went very good. I recently bought 2 power sofas from them because my old stuff was just getting old. The sales representative was very nice and my interactions with associate scheduling my delivery went real well. So far, we really like quality of the furniture, except for one: you can feel the wood piece under it, under the armrest, when you lay your head on it (it’s both of them, and we’ve had people over that has had the same thing so it’s not just us.) However when we lay on it, long ways, it’s very comfortable.

I’ve recently purchased a sofa and recliner from La-Z-Boy. I have had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home since 2006. We have a golden retriever and she wore out our other sofa so my wife needed a nice recliner. Sales representative was more than helpful; he was fantastic. I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home since 2001. I was tired of the old ugly stuff so I got new ones. Everyone was very nice at the La-Z-Boy gallery, from the people that actually waited on me to the designer that I was just waiting for to come back from a run that she had been on, and the delivery people, everybody. It was a wonderful experience all around. Christine was just awesome, very helpful, very patient, just was a good listener. I can't wait to go back in two years when I pay off what I bought so I can buy new stuff for my living room.

We purchased a sofa-bed and a loveseat on 12/29/13 at the Cerritos/CA. store (6-8weeks for a special order delivery was promised). It was delivered on 5/20/14, a total of 20 weeks. A sales person saw furniture, and agreed that it wasn't acceptable. She took pictures, and submitted them. The arm of the loveseat wasn't covered correctly. The pillows weren't filled to satisfaction. Lots of threads, which should have been cut off the furniture, before delivery, were not. The couches have 2 different colors. Nap isn't placed correctly. One of the cushions didn't fit correctly. 3 techs were sent to make adjustments - 6/13, 7/2, and 8/1. Note the time frame. Final completion, 8/1/14 (a total of 28 weeks). A mere $200 adjustment was made. Not acceptable! The furniture is still not what I ordered, and does not reflect the value of the furniture purchased. A larger adjustment should be made. At first, I told the manager to give us our money back. She said, "That will never happen".

I expanded my room and purchased a chaise, chair, and ottoman from La-Z-Boy. I had an interview person come out and they were very helpful. I haven't gotten the ottoman yet. I have the chair and I'm not sure I'm happy with it because some of the fabric is already loose and it was custom. I haven't called them yet about it. I have been pleased with the chaise lounge.

I have had La-Z Boy furniture for 20 or 30 years. Now I just purchased a brand-new house. It was a big house so I needed living room and family room furniture so I purchased a sofa and recliners. We dealt with a gal named Cecilia who was really great. She came over and measured everything. She took pictures and then we met with her and told her what we liked, went through the showroom, and she did the whole presentation for us of the furniture and stuff that we picked out and recommended a lot of different things. I really like the presentation that she did. Plus, she wanted to see everything set up. The last piece was the mirror that was delivered. And once I got that and got it hung, she wanted to come over and see everything. It was just really great. She went above and beyond. And the quality is pretty good. I have no problems with them.
Scheduling the delivery was pretty much right on, what she said and when it would be here. She had printed everything up for us, furniture layout and told us to make sure that the delivery men set everything up the way it was in the diagram and the pictures and all that she had printed up. It was pretty decent. But the delivery team, the first time they were great. They brought the majority of the furniture, everything in and set everything up and unwrapped them, took everything with them. The last thing that we had delivered was a huge, round mirror and all they did was just drop it off. They didn't even unpack it, didn't take the wrapping or shipping box with them. So I wasn't happy that I had to get rid of all that myself. But other than this, the experience was awesome. Above and beyond.

I purchased a power recliner from La-Z-Boy, and it is wonderful. We moved to live with my daughter and I didn't have a chair here. I had a stroke in May and I needed a chair of my own. My husband had a recliner but I didn't so I wanted one. We were at the La-Z Boy gallery twice looking at the same chair and both times, I had excellent service. The sales reps were very cooperative, very patient with me, and very kind. I appreciate it. The delivery team has been in this home before and they had delivered a piece of furniture a couple of years ago, and they recognized it when they came in here. They were quite friendly and very nice. The furniture is very good. I like it a lot and the cost was fine for me. It was a joyful and wonderful experience. I'm very pleased.

Purchased 2 sofas and 2 glider recliners from La-Z-Boy. Right after the delivery people left and we had a chance to sit in one of the gliders, found out that the base was defective and had a metal on metal rubbing issue due to bent arms. It didn't show up when the delivery person rocked the chair. I immediately called customer care... the earliest appt I could get was a week out. On my service day, waited for the tech who was a no show and worse, no call. After almost 2 hours of calling customer care trying to get answers, was told he had an accident while on his way and would be heading to us when he finished the accident report. Later found out this was a lie.
The accident occurred earlier in the day and there was no way he was making his 2:45 to 4:15 appt with us. Requested to speak to a supervisor... was told one would contact me in 24 hours. Again... not true. Had to call and set up a new appt, again more than a week out. Tech did show up today... need a whole new base. No idea how long it takes to get one and have to get all the parts in hand before I can call and get back on the queue for an appt. This is Customer-not-so-much-care.

We purchased the Devon Sectional on 2/16/2013 and were excited with our purchase. We wanted to upgrade the cushions but were told that it really was not necessary as the sofa came with nice cushions to begin with, but we did upgrade to performance leather. Since it was a custom order it took about 8 weeks to deliver the sofa. We received the sofa right before Easter of that year, but the day of delivery came and we received a phone call saying that they found several 5 inch slits all over the leather of the chaise lounge. La-z-boy would only offer to fix the chaise. They would not make us a new one. We were extremely disappointed to be receiving a repaired piece and that it would take an additional 6-8 weeks before we could get it. To help make things better the store said they would refund part of the cost of the chaise for our trouble. They never came through with this even though we tried for at least 8 months to get this money back. They eventually said they were not able to do this.
In January of 2014 after only having the sofa for 8 months and the chaise lounge for 6 months, all the cushions were completely flat and horribly uncomfortable. La-z-boy agreed to replace the cushions. This took 12 weeks before we received all our cushions and they were installed on our couch in April of 2014. It is now August and we have been complaining to the company for a month that the "new" cushions they sent are in horrible condition. They are actually worse than when they first replaced them!
We have called the store and the headquarters and have been told that the pillow top cushions typically go flat and this is expected wear even when they are only a few months old! La-z-boy needs to start disclosing this for their pillow top products. We wanted to upgrade to memory foam cushions to start with and were told it was not necessary and now we are being told the pillow top cushions go flat really quickly.
We bought la-z-boy because of the quality associated with the name. I completely regret ever purchasing this sofa - it was a complete waste of my money. I plan on making sure everyone I know that wants to buy new furniture does not buy La-z-boy! All I want at this point is to return the product and get my money back! If that is not an option I am willing to accept a better quality sectional or upgraded cushions for my current sectional. If La-z-boy really wants to keep customers and maintain their reputation of quality they need to stop manufacturing poor quality pillow top cushions!

The gentleman that came to work on it was very, very professional. He has ordered another piece for our furniture because the one is so bad he cannot fix it. The sales representative was good. He's just a salesman, entirely salesman and that's it. We made a trip back over to look at furniture in the showroom to make sure of how ours was supposed to look, and all he would say is, "I have nothing to do with that. I'm just a salesman." I said, "Okay, that's fine, you are just a salesman but I'm really concerned about my furniture and I wanted to compare how ours look compared to the same set in your showroom. Ours looks nothing like yours does. Ours is not filled out or anything." And he gave his go-around, but he was just a salesman, that's all he was, he had nothing else in the repair work or anything that needed done. I'll be honest; I would never deal with him again. I said it might be the last piece he'd sell me too.
I'm happy that I have a repairman that is working on it, but I'm very disappointed that I had a special order of furniture and it came looking like this. If it were special made, why did it look like this? I would have to say in buying experience, I would never recommend it. A piece of furniture should have never been delivered like it was delivered. None of our three pieces should have been in our home like they were. And I cannot believe an inspector did not catch it; I mean, it wasn't one piece of our furniture - it was our loveseat, it was our sofa, and my recliner. This isn't the furniture that we paid for.
I wouldn't recommend it. If they could see it on the showroom floor and it be a piece that is right, yeah, maybe I would. But I wouldn't tell anybody to special order; I couldn't do it. If you pay that kind of money out and I said to the guy that had come in to work, I said, "Look, he's got a La-Z-Boy chair over there, 10 or 12 years old and it's still perfect in every way, and he bought it off from the showroom floor. Look at it compared to ours that we had made, it's a shame." He said, "I can see what you mean," because I mean is that he bought off from the floor is just as good as the day it was bought except for the color and the back where his head rubs is fading. But other than that, there's no mark or nothing; the leather has not given in any way.

I have been repeatedly stonewalled by customer service over a chair that lists and which the technician told me he could not repair when he examined the chair in June. The "escalation specialist" at headquarters has done nothing but assure me that after a second inspection in late August, she will review the report and see what to do. I turned in desperation to this person because I had received NO help from local customer care, only assurance that yet another e mail would be sent to corporate headquarters. She was unable or unwilling to share more than a first name or the email address of CEOs @ the company. The problem was first reported in mid-May, no technician arrived until June 4, and now it is August 7. My experience has been that customer disservice is the rule with La-Z-Boy.

I wrote to La-Z-Boy regarding a sectional couch with chaise and motion recliner. I have yet to receive a reply. The material on this sectional is defective. I purchased it last September and have already had 2 pieces replaced due to splitting seams. The dealer has another piece on order that had split as well. My warranty is expiring next month and the dealer will not be replacing any further problems. As my husband and I are retired and there is not a lot of use this is unusual. No one else lives with us. As I spent a lot on this sectional I thought it would last me the rest of my life. My last no name recliner I had for 20 years.
I didn't mind spending the extra money for La-Z-Boy because of the reputation but I am very disappointed. The first seam split in March after only 6 months. I would like a credit to allow me to receive a sectional which has better material. (I already paid for upgraded material which is terrible.) I love the configuration of the sectional and the dealer has been accord aging but I need a piece of furniture that lasts more than 1 year. I am on a pension. And can't afford a new one.

The old furniture that I bought from La-Z-Boy has been in my home for 10 or 12 years. But I've also bought La-Z-Boy furniture from garage sales that are 30 or 40 years old now. Recently, I bought a new house, and I decided to buy new furniture because all my furniture is old and it didn't look right. It looked like a really nice house with DAV furniture. And so, I decided I didn't want to do that because that's stupid. I purchased a new sofa, loveseat, and other items from La-Z-Boy.
I love the people at the La-Z-Boy Gallery. That is because whenever I go any place, I pick the people who I want and like. There was a gal there by the name of Andrea, they call her Drea, and she just got to know me. Whenever I came in, it just turned out she was there. She was very easygoing and helpful, and she knew the furniture well because she has been involved with La-Z-Boy for 15 years. And so, I'd come in and she'd sell me something. Well, here is this issue. One time, she offered me something and I bought it. Then I came back and purchased another piece because that piece which she sold me was fine for some other folks in the house, but it didn't really fit me, and she immediately put me with something that would. She didn't even say that she thought the first item was a good deal. She just knew right away what would better suit me.
And everybody else was good, too. They had a really friendly and nice decorator, Celia. I’d come back in after we visit with each other, and she’d come over and say, “Hi!” and that was just nice. The quality of La-Z-Boy furniture is really good. That’s why I buy La-Z-Boy. If you go into other furniture stores, before you should do so, and I didn’t know this until much later in my life, make them turn the piece over and look at what it’s built with, because some of these stuff is just built very poorly. For instance, other furniture is crap. I spent just as much money and it just turned out to be junk. And the people in other furniture stores don’t care.
But I’ve learned that from a friend of mine whose dad was in the furniture business most of his life, and he said there’s several differences that show low quality, and you’ll know it once you flip the furniture over. There’s what they call the motel quality, which is a little bit more sturdy. And then, they have the one that is more like La-Z-Boy, which is a really sturdy product. Well, what I had bought in the other furniture store was low to motel quality because when you flip the furniture over, there’s this little, tiny, skinny piece of metal and it just doesn’t look anything like La-Z-Boy. So, what happens is you end up without that lifetime warranty that La-Z-Boy has. But also, you ended up spending really good money on a really inferior piece of merchandise.
Scheduling the furniture delivery was real smooth and easygoing. The sales associates were very helpful. They make sure that the delivery was at a convenient time to you. One time I had to have a change in delivery dates, and it was not a hassle at all. It was just real good. The delivery people were excellent! They put up everything, and were quick and fast. They found a problem with one of the pieces, and they immediately took that back and said, “No, this is a problem.” A lot of people would feel, “Well, we’re just delivering it. We don’t care.” But the La-Z-Boy team was really good. They cared. And they’ve worked there also for a long time, which tells me La-Z-Boy is probably a decent place to work.
Overall, my experience with La-Z-Boy was excellent. The people were very professional. The furniture was very well done. When you call them afterwards, you don’t get a big runaround. You just get helped with whatever it is you need.

In October 2012, I purchased a Brutus Recliner because many of the features were appealing to me. It was a little more expensive than other recliners, but was supposed to be heavier duty and less likely to break down. I was also sold a 5-year warranty package (through Guardian Insurance) that I was made to believe would cover any and all problems with the chair, should they arise. Total cost = $814.98. I lent the chair to my father and we have had nothing but trouble with this it since.
I called in February 2013, because the footrest would not work. The lift handle just spun around with no result. It took weeks to get a repair completed. In August 2013, I found that the footrest was again not working. So I called again and reported the problem and where the chair was located. This time, the footrest would not elevate, no matter how hard we pulled the lift handle. Again, weeks went by before the repair. In January 2014, the footrest stopped retracting - it was stuck in the elevated and extended position - not safe for my elderly father who has difficulty with balance. I had to wait 8 weeks for the repair part to come in - and it stopped working in March 2014. It was completely jammed. No amount of pulling on the reclining handle or even on the footrest itself would bring up the footrest. It was solidly stuck.
I called immediately and asked for yet another service call. I also enquired about cleaning the chair, as my father had and accident in the chair and did not want it returned to my home in that condition. I was told they normally don't deal with this kind of cleaning, but would send out a cleaner as a courtesy. No word from either the repair dept or the cleaning company. I again called at the beginning of June. Got the same run around. No action was taken. I called again on June 30, to inform them that my father had to move from his facility in a week, and I was reclaiming the chair, but didn't want to put a $800, urine-smelling, broken chair in my house. I tried to get someone to come and look at the chair while it was inside, but no appointments were available. I was told that I could store it covered on my porch until the technician could come in 4 weeks.
The technician came and was rude. He was not happy that the chair was outside - we'd had it covered to keep off any rain and flotsam. He indicated he couldn't work on it and we should have called earlier. (Seriously????) I called last week to enquire what the status of my claim was. I was told the technician was supposed to have cleaned the chair (he told me that was not something he could do at all), even though the order to clean it was in the work notes. Upon seeking to re-schedule the cleaning, we were denied coverage from Guardian. They stated the reason was that the chair's location had changed from my father's residence to mine - without notification to them. (Again, seriously???) They will not be honoring the warranty I paid for, and when pressed finally offered up that they'd refund the $79.99 paid for the warranty.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor - repeatedly - the customer service representative spoke over the top of me, told me the supervisor and she had discussed it so it was not necessary for me to speak with him/her, and that the supervisor was not available at the time (after all, when I checked the clock, it was 1 minute past closing for them on the East Coast - seriously - then she terminated the call when I asked for a return call). I am very disappointed and upset since this was supposed to be a no-fault, replace the chair if they could not fix it insurance policy. I am NOT a satisfied customer. I am NOT going to recommend that anyone purchase anything from La-Z-Boy and ESPECIALLY do not recommend any extended rip-off warranty coverage.

I bought a 3 seater with motorized recline and a 2 seater standard Augusta PF1641 model. After 18 months of wear one of the recliner sides has materially collapsed and gone very creased. There is also a sort of rubbing off of the dark maroon leather colour (Bordeaux) to reveal a light pink underneath. I have emailed from their site several times and do not get a reply. When I purchased the furniture I took out an extended warranty but they have found excuses for not repairing the collapsed back cover (it is filled with non standard filling not covered by the warranty???) I am really concerned that this (expensive) furniture has deteriorated so quickly. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Overall, I'm satisfied with La-Z-Boy and I would recommend it to anybody that wanted assistance or wanted to buy furniture. I recently purchased from them. I had problems with two of the pieces but they're not problems - they're just opportunity. They have gone out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. You can buy a piece of furniture but it's very difficult to get that kind of service. We don't buy furniture that much, so we went down and we got a lot of assistance not only from the floor salesperson but also the designer. We kind of took the designer's lead.
The furniture was delivered early, and it was earlier than what we had anticipated, and they delivered it on a day that was convenient for us. So far, the quality is good. They're a good group of people that are concerned about us to being thoroughly pleased, and I couldn't ask for anything more than that.

I do volunteer work for a friend who is 82 years old and blind. She has ordered 3 other chairs over the past 20 years without problem. She loved her last La-Z-Boy swivel rocker so much she decided to purchase a new one. It was delivered, best she could tell, it was perfect so she signed for the delivery. She was not able to read what she signed, but had she not signed it, the delivery person would not have left the chair. As soon as she sat down, she realized it barely moved. It required great force to make it push back at all and if you have ever sat in the show room swivel rocker you would know this was not right.
She was on the phone 20 minutes after the deliver was complete and requested repair. A repair was scheduled. He immediately told her he was not familiar with this kind of chair. The repairman ordered parts. 3 1/2 weeks later, new parts were installed, but they did not solve the problem. She told the repairman it was not fixed. The repairman told her she would just have to loosen the springs herself (I assume he meant she would have to rock it a long time to loosen it up?). He left. She called the repair line again and they promised to send someone else out. They did and this repairman said nothing was broken and he left. She called and complained and the company told her it was not broken so they would not send anyone else.
So, my friend went to the bank and asked that they recover the money she spent on the rocker. The bank did attempt to do this but La-Z-Boy denied the charge back on the basis of my friend signing the initial paperwork - no matter that the chair is not right, no matter that she called right away for repair - no matter that this has damaged their reputation. The fact is she signed paperwork accepting the chair so they don't stand behind the craftsmanship of the chair. She has since contacted La-Z-Boy again and has attempted to set up repair, but twice they have cancelled the day before. They seemed to be stringing her along hoping she gets bored. At this point, my best recommendation is for my friend to contact an organization that advocates for the blind to see how they might be able to help her.

I went to La-Z-Boy to get my husband a recliner because I know they have better quality than we've been buying him. They were having a sale that if I bought a certain amount of furniture, I got something free so I ended up getting his recliner free and buying the rest of it. The quality is way better than I've ever gotten before. I am very happy with it. This was an amazing experience as far as having the stuff, getting it here when they said they would. And the delivery team was amazing. They delivered on time. It makes me want to buy more furniture. It's the best shopping experience I've had in 20 years.

I have owned La-Z-Boy furniture, a couch and chair, for approximately 10 years and have been pleased with the quality.
The Order: In April 2014, I placed an order for a chair at the Route 31, Clay, NY La-Z-Boy store. The salesperson was pleasant and when the order was placed, informed me that it typically takes 4 weeks for delivery. I paid in full for the order. The invoice did indicate that special orders do take between 6-8 weeks and that I had 3 days to cancel. After a few weeks and no contact from either the store or from La-Z-Boy, I called the store in Clay. The person answering the call informed me that I would need to contact the 1-800 telephone number listed on my invoice if I wanted to know when the chair would be ready for delivery. I called the 1-888-798-2311 number listed on the invoice and was given a date in June for expected delivery.
The June date arrived and the furniture did not. No call from La-Z-Boy, so I called the store and was informed that I would need to contact the number listed on my invoice. This happened several times, I would contact La-Z-Boy and was given an expected delivery date with no follow-up contact or update from La-Z-Boy. I received an icy response from Jesse at the 1-800 number in July and contacted the corporate office. I spoke with Kim at the corporate office and although she was pleasant and seemed helpful, she informed me that she would respond to me and never called me back. There seems to be a theme with La-Z-Boy - no follow-up!
The Delivery: I received a call, finally, from the sales person regarding the delivery of the chair. He indicated the days of the week that La-Z-Boy delivers to my area. I called him back the very same day and the next two days and was unable to speak with him. I called first thing Monday morning when the store opened and was told that the sales person was "late" and that she could not schedule my delivery on the day of the week offered by the sales person. I asked to speak with a store manager and was informed that they were in a meeting and could not be disturbed. ** did return my call but, was unable to assist in scheduling the delivery date as offered by the sales person. My chair was finally delivered on Saturday 8/2/14. The delivery staff were very nice and on time!
The Product: The chair, however, is sub-par. The fabric is loose and where it has piping, the piping is not filled. The footrest needs additional fill, you can feel the metal frame. The chair delivered is not at the same level of quality as the piece in the showroom.
The Policy: There is a policy at La-Z-Boy requiring payment in full for special orders. There needs to be a customer policy that if the product cannot be delivered in the eight weeks listed on the invoice that the customer can request a full refund. On July 8th, when I contact the corporate office, the chair fabric had not be ordered. La-Z-Boy did not have the chair started, it would have been great customer service to allow me to cancel the order and receive a refund.

I've been familiar with La-Z-Boy all my life but this is the first purchase I made. I bought the sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy because of family visits and wanting to make sure that if we're all in my house at the same time, that everyone has a place to sleep in, and I wanted something comfortable to sit on in my family room. When I went to the gallery, Andrea helped me, and she was wonderful. There was another young lady who's a designer and she helped me, then the two guys who brought my sofa out. But Andrea was wonderful to work with, as was the other gal when I talked to her.
I like the quality of the furniture and it's one of the reasons that I bought it from La-Z-Boy. Sometimes you can see things or pick things out, not just furniture but anything, and you can pick something that's not good quality if you know you may not want to keep it anyway for a long time. But I want to. I'm 69 years old and this is going to be probably the last sofa I'll ever purchase. I jokingly told my younger son and I said, 'You guys can figure out who gets the sofa.' But, you know, quality is what I was looking for and I know I've got it. And that's one thing about La-Z-Boy, there's a lot of variety. I could find the big piece of furniture if that's what I wanted. But the thing I just love about this sofa is I'm not a big, tall person, and I can sit comfortably on it.
Also, I used to have horses and so I'm familiar with good leather and bad leather. I knew that I wanted leather because it's durable and easy to take care of. You don't have to get out your upholstery tool on your back and sweep for every time you want to wipe something off. This sofa, the leather is just outstanding. I realized that I would pay for good quality, so cost versus the quality, I'll always ask for quality. So I'd recommend La-Z-Boy. My overall experience was fantastic, wonderful. I'm very happy.

Our old stuff were getting pretty crappy so I purchased a power sofa and a loveseat from La-Z-Boy and it seems like it’s good quality. The only one thing I was not happy about was the amount of time it took to get delivery because it took almost three months. Other than that everything is fine. The sales reps were good. I have no complaints.

The sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery were good, helpful and informative. I had just moved and needed new couches and the furniture has been great so far. We found similar ones that were cheaper but these ones were able to be shipped out right away, which was a big benefit. It's been a positive experience.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture for over five years and recently purchased a chair, ottoman and other items. The sales representative was really nice and helpful. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have bought all those pieces because she came to my house and told me what would look good. The furniture quality is excellent. Some of them were a little pricey, but she assured me that it would be worth it. It was a little hard at times to get a hold of the interior decorator and scheduling her to come over and returning calls but eventually it worked out. Other than that, I’m super happy and if I have to do another room, I’ll definitely call her. I’m satisfied with all my pieces.

I ordered a chair from the Bradenton fl franchised store in the beginning of March. Was told 5-6 weeks before it would be in. At the end of May it finally came in. I told the store several times we were leaving for PA on June 1 for two months. They wanted to deliver the chair during the day on May 29th when we worked and was unable to be home to accept delivery. They then called and wanted to deliver June 3 which did not work as we were in PA. I was told to call as soon as we returned from our PA trip and they would put it on a truck and get it right out to us. I called the Thurs we got back and asked for delivery on Fri or Sat as we had to return to work the next week. The store mgr. said I could not call and demand delivery and they could not deliver until the following week. I told her I would be in the store for a refund as this has gone on way too long. She said because I did not have the chair delivered in 120 days, I could not have a refund, and if I walked in her store, she would call the authorities and have me arrested.

We've already had several purchases with La-Z-Boy. Just a couple of years ago, I got a medical chair, one of those that goes up and down and helps people up. I got one of those for my husband because he got problems. And we got a couple of three other sofas. When we visited La-Z-Boy, their sales associate was fine. She did a great job. The delivery team was good, too, when they delivered the furniture. Everybody was nice and friendly, helpful.
But I have a problem with the new sofa from La-Z-Boy. I got it on sale the weekend of July 4th. It was a pretty good price. But now it's grinding when I lean it back, and so I thought, 'Well, this is a brand new sofa and it can't be doing that.' I haven't called anybody yet because I kept waiting to see if it would stop but it's not. My old sofa from La-Z-Boy, I had a guy over to fix it because the handle kept breaking off. I thought we had it fixed but it still wasn't fixed and something else broke, so I thought, 'Well, maybe it's time to get a new sofa.' And now I've got this problem, so I don't know what's happening. It was five years old, maybe it was time to get a new one, and this one has electric buttons and everything. But I thought it shouldn't be grinding anyway.

We moved to a new place so we decided to purchase new furniture. We bought a power sofa, loveseat and other items from La-Z-Boy. I waited over two months for the furniture! And then they told me it was all in and they scheduled delivery. Because we didn’t have any furniture and we were just sitting on our old loveseat, the sales rep got the couch delivered first, and then had the rest of the furniture delivered next. But we had a rug that didn’t come in with the second set of furniture even when they told me everything was in. They said, “Oh, you can come and pick it up.” I said, “Everything was supposed to be delivered to my house?” So the saleslady brought it. She was very nice. It’s just the wait times were just ridiculous to me. And then, when we went to buy an area rug, she knew the size of our room and she ordered this little 5x7 rug. I wish she would have said “well maybe you need a bigger rug” or something like that. It’s way too small an area rug for the living room that we have, but it’s not a big problem. We’re going to put it in our entryway.
The salespeople were fine, but your delivery took forever. They weren’t very communicative with us. When I would call them to check on it, they were very polite but I had to call and ask them when my furniture was going to be in and when it could be delivered. I wish when the furniture had come in, they had said so. Instead, when I called them, they said, “Oh yeah. Well, it came in a couple of days ago, but we can’t get it to you for three weeks.” It was only the very first couch delivery that they did call me. For the rest of the furniture, I had to keep calling them about it.
So far, the quality of the furniture is fine. The chair tilts a little bit further back than the one we sat in at the showroom, but we’re okay with that. We love the fabric that they picked out and everything else. But I don’t know if I would... unless they had the furniture in stock and everything... I don’t know if I would ever order furniture again.

We ordered a couch and love seat from the La-Z-Boy furniture store located in Frisco at 8294 Highway 121. We spent a total of $3432.38. This was on Feb 16, 2014. Our sales invoice clearly states allow 8-12 weeks for delivery. Today is July 30, 2014 and we still have no furniture. That is 5 1/2 months not 8-12 weeks. I was even fine when I was told they would finally be here in July. Well now I'm told they won't be here in July. Maybe another week or two is what we are being told now. That will put us at over 6 months. That is if they are here by then, which I don't believe at this point. We have actually forgotten what the couches even look like at this point!
I'm being told by the salesman he feels just as bad as we do about our furniture being so ridiculously delayed. I assured him that he doesn't mainly because he has furniture in his house! I have asked to speak with the manager of the store. He was unavailable before and now he is out of town. I then ask to speak with an assistant manager. I'm told the store does not have assistant managers. I have had it with the whole process. I told the salesman who called at this point we would like to just get a full refund. He responded that they will try to waive part of the delivery charge. Really nice that he is going to try and waive a portion of $109! Now that's customer service.
I would not recommend anyone buy furniture at the La-Z-Boy Frisco location. I have already started putting the word out about our ordeal with my fellow Public Safety Professionals, and encourage others to do so as well. We want our $3432.38 refunded in full. I am not interested in getting nickel and dimed with restocking fees or discounts. We want to be done with this.

My husband and I purchased a leather rocker recliner from a La-Z-Boy store in January 2012. We had previously owned a La-Z-Boy recliner that lasted more than ten years and it was wonderful. With the new recliner we have multiple problems with the footrest. Thankfully we took out the extended warranty to help with repairs. I have just sent in our fourth request to have this chair repaired. I am very dissatisfied with this chair for the amount of money we paid for it. I would hesitate before I buy another La-Z-Boy product.

I recently purchased some furniture from La-Z-Boy. I like that there are so many different ways that I could customize my furniture, such as different fabrics, and the person that we had, Erika, was really helpful. She came out to our house, took the measurements and made sure that the furniture fit properly. She gave us a customized look and brought us back to the furniture store to work up what she had got and everything was well. I like the furniture. It's pretty good and worth the money that we paid. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't get all my furniture at the same time but I would definitely come and shop there again.

We have been so disappointed with our furniture. Six years ago, we purchased a sectional sofa. On one seat, the fabric has just about disintegrated and the rest looks terribly worn. The whole end of the sofa has come apart. We've tried fixing it but it keeps coming apart. The sofa looks like it's about 15 years old and I am so embarrassed when we have company. About 2 years ago, we purchased two recliners in the clearance area. They were originally over $1200.00 apiece, but we purchased for $200 each which should have been my first clue. The fabric was an off-white with different colored flowers. After about 4 months, the fabric began to wear and was so faded they looked terrible. La-Z-Boy sent someone out and the man said he could not believe it and the only thing he could come up with was a fabric defect. La-Z-Boy would not refund our money - only give us a credit towards new chairs. Obviously after these two incidents I was not about to buy more furniture there.

We were happy with the design of the consultant and had ordered furniture for both our living and dining rooms. The sofa was delivered, and later some of the other furnishings - chandelier, artwork, lamps, etc. According to the receipt, customers are asked to wait for 6-8 weeks for delivery. However, it took 10 weeks before we could make delivery arrangements for the tables, and Lay-Z-Boy is telling me that the chairs won't be ready until the second or third week of August. This means that the furniture is delayed again for a month! This is unacceptable. I would like to back out of this but I have paid in full. I called the store, but they say I have special ordered so I can't back out. I think that the store should pay a penalty or offer us a discount for failing to live up to its promise of 6-8 weeks delivery.

I purchased a power lift chair from La-Z-Boy because the wife has trouble getting out of the regular chairs and this gives her assistance in lifting her so she can almost stand and walk. I talked to the sales representative and everything was okay. The delivery was also fine. But the chair, it stinks. It's uncomfortable. It just doesn't feel right when you just want to sit in it without reclining in it. The leg lift doesn't come high enough, it sits down a few degrees. Instead of your legs being straight, they're pointed downward when you got the chair back. If you want to use it just as straight chair, sitting in it is very uncomfortable. If I had the opportunity, I'd take it back and get my money back. Everything with La-Z-Boy was okay. The only problem was the chair, it's lousy.

We purchased two identical La-Z-Boy recliners in 12-15-2011 and in less than two years the racket system has broken. When I called they said that the parts are free, but we would have to pay $109 to have someone come out and install the new part. Funny I purchased and Aerodyne chair and it has FULL parts and labor replacement for 10 years from date of purchase. I guess with the greed of the new La-Z-Boy philosophy, they no longer manufacturer a quality product. To top that off, there is a faulty material area on the seat cushion and we were suckered in purchasing this additional insurance only to find out that Guardman will NOT honor their warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE LA-Z-BOY CHAIRS. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME QUALITY THEY WERE 15 OR 20 YEARS AGO. YOU ARE BETTER OFF TO PURCHASE CHEAPER CHAIRS. We paid over $900 for chairs that did not last for two years and the cheaper recliner we purchased and gave away is still working better than this junk and they are 10 years old.

Do not purchase the extended warranty from Lazy Boy. We purchased over 1800 in new chairs and extended warranties and the color on the leather is coming off in the head area, due to hair products. I have short hair.... I use shampoo and that's about it. So, unless you don't lay your head on the head area of the chair... the color of your leather will also come off. I am not happy, nor will I ever purchase a La-Z-Boy chair again. This isn't a threat, this is a fact.

I purchased a couch from La-Z-Boy and it gives me a terrible backache. I have metal on my back and when I sit back, there's too big of a gap between the back of the couch and the seat. It just kills me. But its just my body. I just got married, and my husband did not like the couch that I had and he wanted a love seat. The furniture is all right; its just I have too big of a gap where I sat back on the seat. You can't get it all the way back to the back of the seat because it's too wide on the bottom for my short legs. I just got married, and my husband did not like the couch so we purchased a love seat that he wanted. The sales rep at the store was very pleasant, explained a lot and helped us a great deal.

My wife and I bought a 2400.00 couch. She picked out a certain fabric and color. We were told it would take 8 to 10 weeks. We ordered it in March. Finally got couch in June. It was wrong fabric and wrong color. We went back to store and they couldn't tell us what happened. They gave us choice of money back or keep couch until right couch came in. We received a call 5 weeks later saying they didn't have enough fabric of color we wanted. We went back to store and had no explanation of why it took so long to tell us. They offered a lousy 15% off of couch we had. My wife saw a couch that was used and priced at 600.00. We said we would take that couch and keep what we had. They only offered us 200.00 for their screw up. We waited over 4 months for a couch that we never received. Now we have to give back the couch and wait for our 2400.00 dollars which could take days.

We bought a sofa and love seat with the leather look fabric 2 years ago and now the fabric is crumbling off. We called Miller's furniture where we purchased the set and they came out and took pictures, then sent them into La-Z-Boy who said it was not a fabric defect. The crumbling got worse and spread. I wrote a letter and sent more pictures, then I called. On the phone they again said it does not look like a fabric defect but that I should have been maintaining the fabric with a water based cleaner. This was news to me. There were no tags with that information nor did the seller say anything beyond what to use if it got dirty. We paid more expecting this furniture to last and instead, we are very disappointed in both the furniture and the treatment from seller and Lazy Boy.

We go back at least 30, 35 years with La-Z-Boy. We've had about seven La-Z-Boys and I was pleased with the quality. This the first time I’ve had a rocker swivel and I’m pretty satisfied with the product. But...
We had ordered a special custom-made chair. To have to pay for my purchase before I even get it was extremely ludicrous. I will never buy another La-Z-Boy that way. I’ll buy one if it’s on the floor but I would never order one because I have to prepay it. We just bought a $45,000 car and we did not have to pay for our car until we picked it up... And then the delivery... we had to make a special day to get it delivered. It wasn’t like it was delivered within the week. That was very inconvenient and we had to exactly be home, and if we weren’t home, they’d leave in 15 minutes. Otherwise, we were pleased with everything.
We had a wonderful salesperson, very helpful. And my wife said they were extremely kind and informative when they came and set it up and wanted to be sure she could raise and lower the thing and if she knew how to take care of it. We've had other La-Z-Boys, but this group was just really very professional and a little ahead of time in delivering, which is good. So it was very good. They got a wonderful product and we will enjoy our La-Z-Boy.

Our old furniture was getting bad, so we decided that we wanted to replace it, so we started looking around. When we were in the La-Z-Boy gallery, they took us around and showed us what was going on. We told them we were redoing a whole room. We lined up a meeting with one of their reps, who came out here, Sarah, and we spent time going through our house, showing her what we wanted to do. She got a plan together, we went back to the store, they showed us what they had, we picked the things we wanted, and they delivered. We're still waiting on a couple of pieces but so far, it's okay. The quality and the cost of the furniture is good. It just worked. They called us and told us they were in. We wanted to wait for everything, but they said they'd store it, so they stored it while we're getting ready, and they delivered, set up, and left. Sarah came back out to make sure everything was okay, and we went through the stuff that haven't arrived that was back-ordered because of the material. That was it; it worked good.
Also, the delivery team was good. They went through the list with us, they brought the stuff in, and we both marked it off, and they assembled it. We had a couple of pieces of furniture we had to get out of there that they helped us move, so it was a very good experience. They were courteous, friendly, and very helpful when we were redesigning a room and did a good job of putting things together so that it was easier for us to accept and buy the merchandise.

We have bought many La-Z-boy products over the years. Right now in our home we have a leather recliner, a leather couch, two wingback recliners and an overstuffed chair and ottoman. Unfortunately, I have developed a contact dermatitis from the recliner, which was purchased September, 2013. It covers my legs, my back and as soon as winter was over and I started wearing short sleeves, my arms. Is there anything I can do to make this expensive chair usable for me? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I went to the store looking for a rocker recliner that I saw online "Vail" priced at $299. I asked if they had print fabrics. I was told that was custom and after looking for an hour we couldn't find any fabrics that would make the chair total under $600. Double what I was expecting to spend. Therefore I said I would just settle for the fabric that was on the card attached to the chair. The salesperson wrote it up at $299. I said I wanted to go home and think about it. When I went back the following day, the same person said that all but one color on the card was a mock custom. The advertised $299 was now up to $389. I showed her the estimate that she had written and she would not honor it.
As I was leaving another customer was having similar issue. The salesperson quotes one price and then when they write up the order everything becomes "custom" and the price changes. Also the sales people are very rude, sarcastic and not helpful at all. I was dealing with the manager!! I walked out, went down the block and purchased 2 chairs for $299 each at Ashley Furniture. Don't purchase from La-Z-Boy in Orange, CT.

I purchased a sofa, chair and a half, ottoman, and some accessories from La-Z-Boy. I had said once I bought a house, I was going to get new living room furniture and I'd been looking for a while and found what I like best. The only bad thing about my experience was they didn’t keep me in the loop. They had told me it would be about 6 weeks, and it ended up being almost 3 months. I kept having to call and say, “Hey where's my furniture?“ and they said, “Oh we'll keep you posted.” No. I was trying to plan when I was going to start trying to sell my other furniture and they had told me that it would be in the warehouse by the 16th and then it would be 2 days for delivery. That wasn't true. It was leaving wherever it was coming from on the 16th and didn't get to the warehouse until that Friday and it wasn't everything. But by the time they delivered it next Wednesday, they had everything. And it was worth the wait. I absolutely love the furniture!
So my overall experience was great other than that one issue about me always having to call and nobody really had an answer. Everything else was fantastic. Every time I went in the store, they were very nice, very helpful. The interior decorator that helped me was amazing. She was there when the delivery team came. A lot of the pieces that I bought I didn't see. I just saw it in the book. They weren't in the store but when it all came together and I've gotten so many compliments on it and I couldn't have never done that without her. The delivery team was fantastic; they were fast. I don't know how they did it just the two of them, considering I have a three-story townhouse. But they did great.
The price was good. The quality was good. I'm thoroughly impressed with my new furniture.

So, my husband and I purchased our first home and are expecting our first baby. Such an exciting time I wanted a nice rocker/recliner to go in our new home. We went to a store, picked out a chair we thought was comfy and picked our own pattern for it. We spent about $1000 for this chair and got all the upgrades on it. Waited a few weeks for it, went pick it up and realized we just didn't like it. My husband contacted the salesman that sold us the chair about a week later. He explained to him what was going on and he said he would see what he could do and call him back. We got no call back. So a couple of days went by and my husband called him back. He told us someone from customer service would call us.
So a few days go by and no phone call. So, once again my husband takes it upon himself to call someone at customer service. Of course no answer so he leaves a voicemail. Finally we get a call back and was told it's past the 48 hours of having the chair in our home. Ask to speak to a manager, but of course they won't be back in the office until Monday. That's no surprise! All I want is to exchange the chair with something we are happy with. We are even willing to pay the 25% restocking fee!!! I can't keep putting this off and waiting for someone to call me back. I need to do something with this chair. We spent so much money on this chair. I really just want something that we are happy with. Please make some kind of an exception and work with us on this matter. That is all I am asking! I realize it's past the 48 hour mark, but geez please just work with us here!

I ordered a custom chair style 020 818 on 1/14/14. It was delivered in February. The chair looks under stuffed and the rocker mechanism does not work correctly. I have had other people sit in the chair and they agree. The chair was sent back for repair and they keep telling me nothing is wrong with it. It is still sitting in the warehouse and I paid $809.95 for a faulty chair. I have had no satisfaction with the local customer service center so I will try to work up the chain to corporate or contact American Express about disputing the charge. I want my chair but I want it fixed.

I have 2 La-Z-Boys that are over 20 years old. In Jan I got a $1200 recliner. At 7 months old the chair creaks when I sit down, get up, change positions and the left arm moves. The chair sounds like a cheap $200 knock off. What happened to the quality of the first two?

I went to the store to purchase a recline on July 4 as there was a sale. I did make a purchase that day and picked up the recliner the next day. After sitting in it for a few days I noticed my back was really bothering me. I went back to the store and explained the problem to them. We agreed it was a rocker/recliner and that could be the problem, so they let me exchange it for another chair which did not rock, I had to pay more money for this chair. Now I have had the new chair for about a week and the same thing I can barely sit in it, it bothers my back. I am guessing maybe it's just the way these are made, there does not seem to be much padding in the chair.
I do not want to exchange it for another chair and pay even yet more money, I simply cannot afford it. I would like to return the chair and get my money back.

It was more expensive than other competitors like Jordan's Furniture, but so far I've been happy with it. There was a woman that got my order that I worked with. I went back on Saturday and she did a really amazing job. I ended up ordering more furniture from her because she was so attentive and helped me do a layout and she was great. They were thorough, honest, and personable.

I purchased some furniture with La-Z-Boy. My husband and I recently redecorated and I wanted some new furniture. This is the second time in 30 years. I purchased a loveseat and a recliner and prior to that, a sofa and a recliner. When it was delivered, it was just way, way too big. I couldn't use it and didn't fit my room. It was my error. So we went back to the store and we discussed it with a gentleman by the name of Kim. He was extremely helpful. I said the loveseat would work in place of the sofa. So we worked it out. He was going to exchange out the sofa for the loveseat. The sofa, of course, was more money than the loveseat. I didn't need a refund and wasn't looking for one. I just needed to be accommodated. Then he had said, “Well, how about a wall-away recliner?” In my haste I said, “Well, I suppose that would work.” Then he said, “Okay, we’ll work it out. It looks like it’s in stock.” This was several weeks ago.
I've been gone for two weeks. I called the other day and he said, well, it’s not going to ship until the middle of August. I said, “I’ll tell you what, rather than give you back a used chair, I will keep the recliner that I have and just get me the loveseat and I’ll be happy.” He said, “I don’t know if I can do that because it was a special order.” I didn't order anything unusual. It wasn't a custom-made piece in my book. He was going to get back to me and I was waiting until the middle of August. He’s like, “It’s probably all going to ship together.”
I said, “All right. When they get here with it, I will just tell them not to take the new chair, the new recliner off the truck.” He said, “We can’t do that.” You can sell the brand new chair. You can’t sell the one I have and I’m willing to keep i,t and I’m not asking for any more money. I’m not asking for a refund. I paid an additional shipping and delivery fee. I’m not arguing. I just want to keep the chair I have and get the loveseat and give back the sofa. That’s all I want. My husband and I redecorated around a La-Z Boy chair that he currently has that he’s had for several years. He was not willing to give up his red letter La-Z-Boy recliner. Overall, my experience was pleasant. They were extremely professional all the way down to the delivery guys. I have no qualms about any of it other than my furniture doesn't fit.

My wife and I purchased a La-Z Boy recliner for $1500 in the latter part of June 2014 (custom built with delivery in July). We noticed in their ad for labor day this item would be reduced in price for labor day. My wife went to the store on July 4 and asked for and received the difference in price. While there she purchased two small items, one a resin dog bookend for $31 and the other a hanging bird ornament for $10. The salesperson put both of them in a shopping bag... The next day my wife looked at the items and noticed that the base of the bookend was broken. The other item was fine. She intended to return to the store and have the item replaced the next day, Monday July 6. Unfortunately that morning she fell, injured her shoulder and had to be taken to a hospital emergency room by ambulance. She suffered severe contusions to her shoulder and is unable to drive....
I returned the item to the store on Friday July 18 at 10:30 a.m. and asked for an exchange. The sales mgr. said it was past the 3 day exchange period. I explained the circumstances and she contacted the store mgr. by phone. He still refused to authorize the exchange... I asked the sales mgr. to speak to the mgr. She said she could not do this (she did not explain why) but would leave a message for him to contact my wife and I that day. We never received a call from him.... In my many years of purchasing items in stores I have never had an experience like this. I was in the store for over 45 minutes, never was rude to anyone and was thoroughly humiliated. The managers handling of this situation was arrogant, indifferent and inappropriate. I believe disciplinary action should be taken against him to obviously include training in how to handle customers. I wasted a whole morning in this store and had over a 60 mile commute.

I placed an order with a salesman in the Brampton store after much consideration. Two main problems occurred. First, the delivery of the sofa had to be rescheduled couple of times and when the delivery men came, they were very rude and impolite. Second, the order of the two chairs was not correct. I discovered, a couple of days after delivery, that they had not installed the lumbar support as we had discussed not only with the salesman but also the manager. I contacted them. The salesman was not caring. He simply said, "You got what you ordered". He gave no credence to our conversation about my need for a lumbar support. I contacted the manager by email as she was not available to talk on the phone. I explained the situation in detail. However, she did not even have the courtesy to reply! This happened a couple of days before my wife and I were going on a month's vacation. I am over 80 years old and my reports of complaints were ignored! The experience was causing health problems, so my wife recommended I back off. I explained the situation to my daughter who was visiting us on vacation. She helped me take further action so that other customers are aware of my experience. Highly dissatisfied customer!

I purchased furniture from La-Z-Boy for the first time. I got a sofa and a loveseat because my old furniture went to the dump. The cost is a little high but the quality is very good. It was a very pleasant experience overall dealing with the store manager, the salesperson, and everyone in general. The first sofa that we had was damaged and they had a new sofa delivered to us within a week and we were extremely happy. As a matter of fact, I went back and ordered a reclining chair and I’m waiting for that to be delivered.

This is our problem detail. What can be done to help us get our remaining furniture and answer our questions? We waited a long time for delivery and are very disappointed with the service we have gotten since we placed our order. We worked with the store designer and ordered 2 custom fabric chairs, 1 custom sofa, 2 end tables, 1 accent table, one area rug, and 2 mirrors, 2 lamps on April 12, 2014 at the La-Z-Boy Store no. 166, in Cranberry, PA 16066. She had been to our home to measure the living room and entrance way.
We called to check on our order a number of times, hearing that some items were in the warehouse, others were not. An appt. for delivery was set up for original delivery June 27 (after 10 weeks wait). We were told that the delivery company would call when they were 20 minutes away and would come between 10 and 1. We received a call at 8:30 saying they would be there in 20 minutes. I had to rush home from work to meet them at our home. On this occasion, they delivered the end tables, 2 reclining chairs, the mirrors and 2 lamps. They attempted to deliver the sofa, but the two movers could not maneuver it into our home, saying that it would not fit. We were also called the day before the delivery to be told that the accent table was damaged and would have to be reordered.
When the order was unpacked at our home, our daughter found that one lamp had no finial or shade base, so we could not use it. Store was notified. Both recliners had obvious dirt marks on them and a scratch on the back fabric of one of the chairs (we were told to call Comfort Care and they would clean the spots and look over the chairs). Second delivery, July 1, area rug was delivered. Again, I was told that the delivery was to be between 9 and 12, and we received a call from the delivery men at 8:00 that they would be here in 15 minutes. I was not ready for them until 9:00. They came at 8:45! The sofa was to be redelivered at this time, but it could not be arranged! Third delivery, July 8, the sofa was finally redelivered and the sales team came from the store. The sales team was able to direct the movers and the sofa made it into our living room! Finally!
On July 17- Representative from Comfort Care came, removed spots on 2 chairs and is ordering a new back panel for a chair due to a scratch on the fabric that wouldn't go away. We have been dealing with ** and the manager, **, in an effort to determine why there were so many problems with our order. The process of design and ordering was done well, but since then, we are extremely disappointed with the process! When I spoke with ** at the store, she said that if I wanted to "escalate" my complaints (so that others wouldn't have to go through this), I should call Comfort Care. Comfort Care documented our issues and said that some of the issues were up to the store to handle and Comfort Care was reporting to Corporate. When I called ** back at the store, she could offer no explanation other than "they see this with big orders where merchandise is coming from various suppliers." This is NOT an answer! It actually is La-Z-Boy's problem, not ours, yet we have suffered for it!.
We had a bare living room for 2 weeks while we waited for the sofa to be redelivered and during that time, there was no guarantee that it would come through the door! I spoke last with ** on Monday, July 14, and I respectfully asked for a discount on our order. We still have not received the table that was reordered or the parts to the lamp. Heather told me that she would call me back later in the week after she had check with "higher ups". I called on Thursday, July 17, and could not talk to ** because she is on vacation until Monday and no one else in the store knows anything about what she was doing (I spoke with **, who told me that ** probably didn't have an answer for me, that's why she didn't call me back). This is where we stand, now 14 weeks from the date our order was placed!
I would like to know why there were so many problems with our order! Why would merchandise sit in a warehouse and not be checked till the day before delivery? Why is your delivery service company not trained by La-Z-Boy on how to get a "pre-measured" sofa into someone's home? Why does your delivery service not come within the hours they say they are coming? These are problems that La-Z-Boy should address! We will not be recommending your merchandise or services to anyone due to these problems! So far, your system to solve customer service problems is to give the Customer Care number and hope that once we've voiced our complaint, we go away! Each party I've talked to, although they say they are sorry that this has happened, basically explain it away with excuses or passes the buck to someone else. That is NOT Customer Service! I certainly hope that I will be personally contacted regarding my request for an appropriate discount for our experience and, even more so, I hope you can correct these problems so that no one else has to have this stressful experience! We've had La-Z-Boy furniture for over 20 years and recently purchased a power recliner from La-Z Boy. This is my second one and I really like it. The sales representative was excellent and very accommodating in scheduling the delivery. The delivery people were very helpful and they put it together very nicely.

We moved to a new house and purchased a power sofa, sofa chair and accessories from La-Z-Boy. Our new neighbor recommended La-Z Boy when we moved in and we started with their design service, so we talked to Theresa in the Fredericksburg store. She was very nice and very helpful and gave us some ideas. Once we had something firmed up, we worked with Martha, also in the Fredericksburg store, and she took care of everything. The furniture is really good. We really like the recliner. The rugs are interesting; they're very pretty and we always get nice comments on them, but they're not cut square, because we have hardwood floors so when you line up one edge of the rug, it's not parallel to the next thing. It's not off much, but if you look closely you'll see it.
Both the sales associate and the designer were very good and the furniture came just about on time. They gave us advance notice when it was going to come and they were here in that time window, like they were supposed to. Then both Martha and Theresa came out for the installation to make sure the furniture was set in the proper place. I don’t know if they always do that, but they did that for us and I actually have recommended it to several neighbors.

I decided to purchase new furniture because what my husband purchased a few years back before we were married was atrocious. And my girls wanted to get their father a recliner for Father's Day. The sales representative I dealt with was very nice. She wasn't high pressure. She asked us if there were any questions. And if we needed anything, we could go hunt her up. It was very easy scheduling the delivery with the associate. I didn't have any issues. The only issue that I had was that they were supposed to do it on a specific day. And for whatever reason they couldn't do that. I'm not complaining. It’s fine because the guys that delivered this furniture knew exactly what they were doing. They brought it in the door, sat it down, and away they went.
I've been to other furniture stores and the store where I bought my furniture is just wonderful. I've never had any issues, and I would highly recommend the store. I had a fantastic time. Everybody was friendly and didn't hassle or pressure us into buying anything, which is a good thing because I don't like pressure sales. I'd recommend La-Z-Boy for the furniture quality. It’s very nice. I love the fact that it's made in the US of A. I not only tried out several different couches. I had recliners because I was looking for my husband. Then I went home and got my husband and made him go back. And then, he tried them too. So it was just an overall good experience.

I had purchased La-Z-Boy in the past and had furniture that lasted for a nice long time, so we purchased some more. I probably wouldn't have purchased but the cushion on the couch went bad and I couldn't get the material to replace them. The cushions were worn; it was approximately 20 years old. The rest of it stayed good. I haven't had the new furniture long enough to know how the quality is. I've got a little bit of hesitation about it, but it's good so far. Again, even with this cushion, I feel like they're sinking into the couch, and that was the main problem on the last purchase with cushion, not because of the wear-and-tear but because they're sinking into the couch already. And the chair leans forward somewhat. I didn't realize it when I purchased it. Besides that, so far, so good. The delivery was an hour early but they helped me move around stuff. I still think the quality of their furniture is the best.

I purchased an Aspen sectional on July 2, 2014. I also ordered a custom recliner. The fabric had a very strong smell (bug retardant?). Almost 2 weeks after delivery the scent has eased somewhat, but it still makes my eyes water. The sales person was helpful, but she pointed out that 2 pillows were included. I called the store when they were not with the delivery and was told I was wrong. Let's re-cap! Return customer, paid in full, strong smell on sectional and I hallucinated about the 2 throw pillows. We've had La-Z-Boy furniture for almost five years and recently purchased some furniture from them. We had seen what we liked and made the order but what they neglected to tell us was that the material for the chairs was going to have to be a back order. So in essence, they had 50% of my money but the chairs were done six months later and I wasn't happy about that.
If they had told me that it would take six months for that fabric for those chairs, I probably would not have chosen the fabric for the chair. It will be at least another four or five years before we go back to La-Z Boy. The sales rep I talked to initially was very helpful but they had a designer that worked with us and helped us out and there were a couple of times we had to bring her back in as she increased the scope of the project beyond what the wife and I had intended.

I have some medical problems. I'm pretty much stuck in bed to relieve the pain in my back and it's destroying my bed. My daughter decided to get a La-Z-Boy power recliner for me, so I don't have to be in the bed all the time. I can lay in it and sleep in it and basically watch TV in it. The quality is very good, though I might have chosen a different material than this corduroy thing, which is very hot. In terms of the cost, I think I paid too much for it because I paid more for that chair than I paid for my sofa. Other than that, it’s very comfortable. The two delivery guys who showed up were phenomenal. We showed them where we wanted it, and they hauled it in, set it up, and showed us how to work it. It was very good.

I recently purchased a power recliner, recliners, and a Reclina-Way. It was my first La-Z-Boy purchase. I'm experiencing some back problems with the chairs that I had and decided I needed something that had more back support. We had lots of interactions with the sales rep. She answered all the questions, was very knowledgeable and made good recommendations. That entire experience was very positive. The reps were very patient. The quality of the furniture is good. I have no qualms about any of it at this point in time. Likewise, the cost in relation to the quality is within expectation. Our interactions with the sales associate when scheduling delivery was all pretty straightforward and positive. They just called and said the delivery was going to happen at a certain date.
The day before the delivery date, they called and said they would be here between certain hours, and that was the plan. The delivery people were late by 4 hours but they claimed they had a flat tire and consequently got behind on their schedule. However, I had to call to find out why they had not shown up; no one called to let me know that they were going to be late. I would say the only highlights from my perspective is that I was unaware of the variety and extensive aspect of the line, because I ended up with two very nice modern contemporary style chairs, and my historic perspective on La-Z-Boy is that it was very overstuffed and old-fashioned-looking furniture.

I purchased La-Z-Boy outdoor furniture at Sears about 4 months ago. One of the cushions is separating from the seam. I call the 866 number in the paper work that came with the furniture. Seems La-Z-Boy is having a company called BJI furniture do their warranty work for them. After sending in pictures and a copy of the receipt they sent me an email saying it is covered under warranty, however they will be charging me $39.98 for shipping and handling. I think this is a scam because when I called La-Z-Boy I was told they don't charge for shipping. I have never had to pay for shipping and handling for any warranty claims with any other reputable company. Can't say I will be doing business with La-Z-Boy again if this is the way they treat customers.

My furniture was 18 years old so I decided to purchase a sofa, chair, recliners and some accessories from La-Z-Boy. The quality is excellent. It was a little more than I had budgeted for and thought it was a bit pricey. But I'm still happy with my furniture. The sales representative was very, very good, and so was Bianca the interior designer that came out to my house. The associate that scheduled the delivery was good and the delivery people were awesome as well.

My previous La-Z Boy was about 18 years old so I purchase a new one. The saleslady and the designer were wonderful. They were really great. The quality of the furniture seem to be pretty good and cost effective but the lamps are a little substandard. My other La-Z Boy lamps that I had were a little more of better quality. The sales associate worked with me in scheduling the delivery and they called me about 10 to 15 minutes before they actually arrived and it was very good. I was all ready for them that way.
I just had a little situation with the manager. The one table lamp didn't quite look as burgundy as it should. I thought maybe it was a little more in the brownish side of burgundy. So I was told that maybe another one could be ordered. So I was going on that premise but was told by the manager that since it was a special order, that he wasn't going to do that and I got what I ordered. So therefore, I got what I ordered. But it wasn't a special order. I was shown out of a book lamps and I picked out lamps. I don't see where they were a special order. And then the one lamp had a little bit of a chip in it and I didn't even address that. I just put nail polish on it. I had some burgundy nail polish so I just fixed the lamp myself. But as far as the store itself and the furniture, I would recommend La-Z Boy.

Dealing with La-Z-Boy was the worst of my life. It started when I went into the store and I told them I was on a timeframe for furniture because we were moving. I asked for a bedroom set. The new associate went to check and came back and said it's all in stock, absolutely. I go back a month later to make a payment. Now I'm speaking with the manager of department and I was told, “That was never in stock. The associate gave you the wrong information.” I already had a date when I needed it by.
I had to spend the next two hours sitting in the store, picking out another set, and painstakingly finding out if every piece was gonna be in stock by the time I needed it. Went through that process, came the time for me to move in. I needed my bedroom set obviously to sleep. I was told I was getting it one day. Manager called me and said they have no idea where my furniture is. Had to find a bed through somebody so I can sleep in my home. It arrived the next day. And they said, "Oh, well, we feel very bad for what we did. We'll take something off the bill." And to add insult to injury, they took a whopping hundred dollars off my bill. So needless to say, I will never step foot in a La-Z-Boy again. If it wasn't for the manager of the store, I would have cancelled my order. She worked day and night to make sure I got my furniture on time. And it shouldn't have been that difficult. I didn't order anything out of the ordinary.

I purchased a recliner from La Z Boy on January 3, 2014. It was stretch wrapped in plastic when we picked it up. When we got it home and unwrapped it, it is defective in that one of the arms does not have the same amount of "stuffing" in it and is half as thick as the other arm. It also has upholstery that is "askew" on the foot rest and back of the chair on the head rest. I called them the next day and reported the problem to the store. They told me I had to call Customer Service at a toll free number, which I did. On January 28, 2014, a man who was employed by La Z Boy knocked on my door, no ID, and looked like a homeless person, and said he was here to fix the chair. I hesitated letting him in the house! But I did. He looked at the chair and said that he would order the fabric, etc. and would call when it arrives and will make an appointment to come back.
Mid-March I called the Customer Service number again and said that I not heard from anyone and wanted the status of my repair. They told me that I "must have fallen through the cracks" as nothing had been done on the repair order and that man had been terminated. They promised that they would send someone else out to check on the chair. That guy showed up "in APRIL" and said he would order the fabric, etc, etc. I have still not seen anyone to fix that chair! Today is July 14!!! I have called the main office in Monroe, Michigan 3 times. Still no help! I am at my wits end! and they tell me there are "no refund, or exchanges"! What??? Please help me!

After several discussions with La Z boy, they did agree that the issue was one that required their attention and resolution without charge. The sofa has been repaired and is working well. Unfortunately, it is still one of the least comfortable sofas I have owned and encourage others to really "try this out" at length before making a decision. Thank you to La Z boy for fixing the issue satisfactorily.

After a very positive sales experience, the problems began. At delivery, the sofa fabric was not properly put on the sofa. Once that was fixed, we became very frustrated with the discomfort of the sofa.... Our fault we picked it out, La-Z-boys fault for building a sofa that for $1600 is the least comfortable we have ever owned. Now the problem, the automated footrest failed four months after our one year warranty. We called customer service and got a condescending rep who told us it will cost $109 per hour to fix.... After pushing back, she told us $70 per hour. We asked to speak with a supervisor and got transferred to the store..... Come on, La-Z-Boy, you are supposed to be far better than this.

I’ve had La-Z Boy furniture since 1988. Recently purchased a chair and a half ottoman, and power recliner from La-Z Boy. Sales associate was good about scheduling the delivery and when he did schedule, he said that someone would give us a call and let us know. But we waited and waited and waited then I actually had to call back to talk to him and he said, “Oh, someone didn’t call you and tell you your furniture are available to be delivered?” No. That’s why I’m calling. So that was kind of a little screw up there... He did go out of his way the day we were there picking out the furniture. He really helped us pick out the patterns and stuff that we wanted. And he was new too, so we have to give him a little leeway there.
It's good furniture. I know my husband is thrilled with the recliner. The chair I got looked inviting. But I don’t know if I’m thrilled with it because it’s kind of harder to get comfortable on.

I recently moved and so I decided to buy new furniture for my home. I bought a sofa, chair and a half ottoman from La-Z Boy. They were all very helpful. I can’t speak highly enough about anyone that was there that helped me. Prior to this purchase, I had a piece of La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for over 20 years or so. The reason I went back was the quality of the furniture. Out of all the furniture in all the years that I’ve been married, it seems that the La-Z Boy furniture was the most durable and I enjoyed the comfort of the pieces.
I had no problems with my deliveries. They were very accommodating and actually, at one time, they even made the appointment earlier and I’m an early person so the earlier the better. Everything has worked out wonderful for me and I'm very pleased with the quality.

The La-Z Boy staff was very helpful. I couldn't have asked for more. I did come back to La-Z Boy for the second chair because the first chair from La-Z Boy came apart after 25 years. So I'm hoping to get the same out of this one. I did scout in other stores for a chair to replace the La-Z Boy that I had to give up and I found the staff at La-Z-Boy not as pushy and very helpful but not jumping up and down and in my face. When I had trouble getting it delivered, they reworked things for me so we could take it to the warehouse. I was very happy with the service.

We had some chairs and they were in a very sunny place in our house and they got very faded because the sun hit them every morning and most of the day, so I wanted new chairs. I wanted to purchase at La-Z Boy because my husband’s very tall, he’s very comfortable in it and I’m comfortable in it, my kids are comfortable in it when they come. The chairs are fine, they're very comfortable and were enjoying them. I didn't have any problems at all.

It was a pretty good experience with La-Z-Boy. I enjoyed working with the designer but I had some problems with the furniture. The furniture was kind of dinged up a little bit when I got it and they came out and corrected it for me. It's all been positive so far.

We've been buying La-Z-Boy for 25 or 30 years. This is our third or fourth set. We went from leather to fabric because of the cost. The cost is really outrageous for leather. The cost in relation to the quality is a little too high. I wasn't happy with my interactions with the sales associate regarding the schedule of the delivery. They told me it will be within two or three days.
We bought them in Kentucky and we live in Southern Indiana which is 25 miles away and it ended up to be another 10 days before they were delivered. We had quite of had an up and down kind of experience with them. I don’t know that I’ll blame that on the sales associate. It’s the delivery more than anything. The thing is they only made one delivery in Indiana that day, and I say it wasn't 20 miles out of their way but I was very dissatisfied with that part.

Two years ago, I moved into a new place and my furniture was 12 years old, 14 years old so I decided I wanted new stuff. I purchased a sofa sleeper, chairs, tables and some accessories at La-Z-Boy and it was a very good experience. The people that I worked with were very good and very helpful. The sales reps were very supportive and the girl, Jamie, was very good. She drew things and I could see things if they're going to fit and not fit and they worked very well with me and it was like one big happy family. In the end it was just very exciting and they were as excited as I was. I love my furniture. I love everything I got.

My experience with La-Z Boy was terrible. All the tables that we ordered came in damaged over and over again. We had multiple deliveries and things were just being delivered to our house damaged. And finally, we sent all the tables back. We kept the couch and the loveseat-recliner and canceled everything else. They refunded us for the items we sent back. With the sales representatives, at times, it was good. At other times, I just felt like I was getting a runaround. We were told that it was high-quality, high-end furniture, and the first delivery we got, three out of four pieces were damaged.
So I called and I said, "Are you sure this is good furniture?" One person said, "Well, we've never had this issue. We hardly have a problem with them." So we continued on and got more stuff in and those pieces were damaged. Then when I had gone back to the store, another salesperson told me, "Oh, yeah, I never recommend that furniture. We always have problems with it." As for the delivery, my husband had tried to explain to them the best way to bring things in because we live here. We're not delivery people but you move things in and out of your home several times so you know. But they really didn't want to listen so it made things more difficult.

We were looking for a sofa sleeper and we had read some reviews online that there was a really good sofa sleeper at La-Z-Boy so we went over there and we found one and then in the meantime, we ended up finding our living room couch and a love seat and some pillows and extra items. Our representative was Jane and she was phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. We really like her. She was very helpful, straightforward, just above and beyond anytime I called her with any question. She knows my name. She's "Hey, how you doin'? Hope you're..." like she really knew her stuff and you could tell that she had the years of experience and the knowledge that made our whole whole experience wonderful. I think she's the main manager in the store.
So far we're just starting to try on the things we bought. I could honestly say that we had our furniture before we can actually move into the house so our official moving day was yesterday but we haven't tried out the sofa sleeper yet. We just haven't had a chance to. And we love our couches. Everything feels very comfortable and we haven't had any problems or issues or anything with it yet. Also we didn't have any problems with the delivery. It was quick. It was painless. It wasn't like in some places. All went very smoothly. Very fine to our satisfaction, no glitches.

This issue concerns the Fort Myers, FL store on Cleveland Ave. On April 13, we ordered two spectator style chairs. As of this date, July 11, we do not have these chairs nor do we have any idea of a delivery date. This store lacks any concept of customer service. The store does not communicate order status. On more than six different occasions, my wife has contacted several store representatives up to and including the Store Director. We are now planning to cancel the order due to a lack of customer service and consideration. We paid 50% down on the order, which is in excess of $3,500.
We will now be forced to contend with issues involving the credit card company when we advise them of the decision to cancel the order. On a side note, we have enjoyed La-Z-Boy furniture for over 15 years and we had also planned to order a sofa to complement the two spectator chairs. La-Z-Boy has lost 15+years of our confidence and a future sale. This store ranks as the worst in a furniture purchase this family has ever experienced.

I purchased two recliners and a sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy.The sales rep that I dealt with was very helpful. Her name was Shannah. I went in two or three times to make sure that that was what I want and I was very pleased with her. I'm just very disappointed in how the furniture looks in the room. It's just too big for my room and I'm not one bit happy with it and I did inquire but there was no return policy and I didn't want to return. I wanted to exchange it for something smaller. Both chairs are just way too big. I've only had it a few weeks and it's holding together so that's a good sign. The service was fine and I would like to commend the two young men that made the delivery. They were excellent, exceptionally good. They were very, very polite and very helpful.

My mother had an old couch over 30 years old and so she was looking for a replacement for a couch and when we were in the store (La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries), she saw the love seat and a matching chair and she really liked the chair. So instead of buying a couch or a love seat, she ended up buying the love seat and the chair. The quality of the furniture and the experience with the delivery team went perfect.

We purchased a couch and love seat on Black Friday. We spent over $3,600 (after 25%off). We made the mistake of ordering a "custom couch" because we choose a fabric that comes on many couches but not on the one we priced. We saw and felt the material on another couch and it felt nice and was smooth (no wrinkles) and it had been in the store for many months (we saw it previously while price shopping). We received the furniture within 45-60 days as promised. When we went to pick up the couch it looked fine.
After sitting on them for 2 weeks we saw them go from creased to wrinkles. This is microfiber material. We had microfiber on our prior couch from JCPenney's for 8 years and it had a slight pull or tow but no wrinkles. We went to the store (franchise as we found out after the fact). The sales person thought the pictures of our couch looked awful. The manager thought it looked bad but could/wouldn't do anything to help but provide a number for the local warehouse to deal with it. Because the couch was "custom" it said no returns or refunds. That would be fine if it didn't look like crap within weeks. I wanted this couch but it needed to be custom built correctly. The first responses was that it looked acceptable to them and there are no returns. I contacted corporate and they acknowledged complaint and said they would look into it. I have reminded them several times and I get an email stating sorry it is taking so long we will get back to you. The only one that responded was the franchise accountant that responded only to Discover Card (not me) that the couch was fine (in their opinion) and since no refunds I should pay. I don't think so.
I bought the overpriced La-Z-Boy product based on their old reputation. Shame on me for not doing my homework. They are not the same ownership, quality or customer care. No one has asked to see my furniture, to fix it, to pick it up or to refund if they can't fix it so that it doesn't look like this again. My wife and I just want the furniture picked up and our credit card and credit account with La-Z-Boy Ge Capital credited so we can buy a real couch that doesn't look old and wrinkled and continue to embarrass us and LazBoy in front of our friends, family and visitors. I have sent many HD photos that definitely show there is something wrong. Whether or not it can be fixed I don't know, no one has come to fix it or take it away to analyze. Do they care! I know many people and social media. The longer they wait the more $ and customers they will lose. A few pictures are attached.

On February 16, 2014, we custom ordered a stationary chair with matching ottoman and a recliner with memory foam. We picked up the chairs on April 5, 2014. The stationary chair cushion was unacceptable as it did not fit right on the chair (Photos included). We contacted the store and were told that someone from the Customer Service Team would contact us. Spoke with Customer Svs. on April 9th and was told new cushion cover would be ordered. On May 20, 2014 Customer Service picked up the chair to have the new cushion cover installed. Returned chair to us on May 30, 2014 with cushion still not right. We were told to take the cushion back to the store where we had purchased. Took to store and the manager said they would have to send to Customer Service again. She indicated returning the chair was not an option since it was a custom order (Didn't matter if the product was defective).
During the wait for the new cushion, the memory foam on the recliner did not retain its shape and in fact, pulled away from the frame. We have had the chair approximately 3 months. Called the store to notify them of problem and the young man said he would check with Customer Service on the other cushion and report the new issue. He found the cushion had been received by Customer Service the week before and indicated we should be hearing from them. Received message on July 7th that the cushion would be delivered on July 29th. Called Customer Service back on July 7th and told them that was unacceptable as we have been waiting since April 2014 for this issue to be resolved.
We were rescheduled for July 18th at that time. Also discussed the recliner issue and emailed photos with a request for confirmation and a name of someone to speak with regarding both situations. Left message for Customer Service Manager to call us. Did not hear back from Customer Service so called again on July 10th and left another message for the manager to call. As of today these issues are unresolved. With the current schedule, and providing the stationary cushion is correct, on July 18th we will have waited almost 4 months for the issue to be resolved and based on this experience we have no idea how long the recliner issue will take.
In summary, during the past several years we have purchased other items from La-Z-Boy and have been very satisfied. This experience has been totally unacceptable and we would not consider buying anything else from you.

My wife and I have been looking to buy a new sofa. We visited a local La-Z-Boy showroom twice. Because of the way we were treated, we are not inclined to return. A salesperson gave us two quotes, we were having trouble deciding which sofa to get, at the bottom of each quote, it said that the quote was valid for 5 days. When I asked about how long it would take for delivery, the salesperson said "4 to 10." I had to ask whether that was days, weeks, months.
We told her which sofa we had decided on and it wasn't until this point that she said anything about having to put down a deposit of almost 50%. My wife and I said that we needed time to think about it and would come back the next day. The salesperson then said that the price we were given was only good for that day. I told her I disagreed and she said no that was what the manager had said. I said that the quote says it's good for 5 days and she said no, it's a July 4th sale and was only good that day. I said to my wife that we are leaving and the salesperson said "OK, leave then."
She did try to smooth things over with my wife before we left by telling us that the price was still good for the next day. She also took the quotes back saying we couldn't take them with us. I went to the stores website and sent a similar email to this one but never heard back, I thought a manager might at least email me back.

My husband and I purchased a new sofa, loveseat, and recliner from our local store for our new home in January. The furniture was delivered as promised in mid-March and everything came in as ordered. It became clear a few weeks after living with the furniture that the back sofa cushions were not made and filled properly--if we sit on the sofa for any length of time, the two back cushions will deflate and sink into the seat cushions. We then have to pull and adjust the back cushions back up--I do this at least a dozen times a day. It appears these cushions don't have enough cushioning or filling in them--the fabric sags and gaps even when no one is sitting on the couch. It makes the couch look cheap, and it makes the couch feel uncomfortable to sit on. We are also able to tell they were made incorrect, as we have the matching loveseat and have had no issues with it--both the back and seat cushions are still nice and firm. When you compare the loveseat and sofa, it really makes the sofa look sad.
Then today, when sitting in our recliner with the feet up, my husband went to lower the feet rest using the lever on the side. A large black piece of plastic (about as big as my hand) came flying off, sliding all the way across the room (it sounded like a gunshot went off). In examining the chair, we're unable to tell what broke or where the piece of plastic came from.
I called our local store this morning and explained the situation. They gave me an 800 number and an extension to call. I did so and got the voicemail of ONE person who said she services the Dallas and Austin areas. I find it hard to believe one person can do that job. Her voicemail also instructed, in quite a snotty way, not to leave repeat messages as it will "delay the call back time". Not sure why this is the case.
So first, we're dissatisfied that two of the three items we spent a lot of money on need repairs. Second, I'm disappointed my local store where I made the purchase didn't help me more. Third, I can't believe there's no live customer service agent I can speak with. I really expected to set up a repair or get this taken care of today. It's annoying beyond belief to sit on our couch with the cushion issue, and I'm afraid to rock our baby in the recliner because I don't know what will break on it next. I don't want, nor do I have the time, to sit around and wait for a call back. Because I know it will then mean setting up an appointment for someone to come look at the pieces, setting up an appointment for them to get picked up for repair, waiting for the repair, etc. We want to get this taken care of as soon as possible, especially considering the money we spent and that we are not at fault for the shoddy workmanship.
We did a lot of research before purchasing furniture for our new home, and are very disappointed with the quality and customer service at this point. Hoping you can make this right.

We finished off our basement so we had to put new furniture, and we like La-Z-Boy. We bought other furniture at the gallery before so we went right to the associate and gave her an idea. It’s identical to other furniture we've purchased except it’s a sleeper, so it was easy to do. Overall, we had a good experience with La-Z-Boy except during the time of delivery. It was very large and going from our main level down the basement steps to put it in, it was very difficult for the delivery people to do. But on a second effort, another trip, they got it in. So that was good.

We moved from Philadelphia to our new house in New Jersey. We originally had two recliners and we wanted to have them swivel. We wanted to convert the old recliners we had to swivel rockers recliners but couldn't be done, so we purchased two new ones that are swivels from La-Z-Boy. The quality was good and the price was good too. We were pleased with the first furniture we had and we're equally pleased with these. They both are fine.
Everybody likes a bargain and these were on sale. I would say it was within reason and fair. The sales associate told us it's anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks and I guess they were available in about 3 weeks and we weren't ready so they held them for a week for us and that worked out well too. Overall, the experience was good. It worked out well. They had what we needed and the delivery was fine. The delivery people were very good and no complaints. That's really a good thing. I'd recommend them. We were very pleased with them.

We recently purchased a power sofa and love seat from La-Z-Boy. The sales reps at the gallery were terrific. From one to ten, they were a ten. The lady who waited on us was a dead ringer for Julia Stiles, the actress. They were so pleasant, so nice, so caring they were just great. I had a problem with customer service though.
When the couch was delivered, the delivery guys were good. They unwrapped it and set it up. My wife wasn't home at that time. She came in about a minute later as the truck was driving down the street and she inspected the furniture which I didn't do and the couch had a hole in the back. It was a little bigger than an eighth of an inch but it was in a place where as you use the couch, it was going to get bigger. It was moving over this tear so I called the 800 number for customer service and explained it to the people. I got what may have been the rudest person I've ever dealt it. They told me that their policy was once it was delivered that it was my problem. They told me that customer service would come out and maybe repair it. I explained to him that it was a brand new couch and has been in my house for 1 minute and it's defective and I want another one. He said, “No, you can't have another one. It could be fixed.” I said, “Look, it's your policy. My policy is when I buy something and I pay for it, I want it to be new and undamaged.”
He hooks me up with the supervisor who after a minute got on the phone and she said, “What do you want?“ I said, “I beg your pardon?” And then she said something about "this is our policy and I don't care what your policy is." I knew that it was not just the kind of person you could deal with. I just said, “Fine, goodbye” and hung up so I had a terrible experience with customer service. It was really bad.
I went out to the store and explained it to the manager there. When I walked in, they remembered my name and they greeted me. It was really nice and there was a couch like it on the floor and I showed them what was wrong and took a picture and I brought it out and they said, “We can't have that. We're going to send you a new couch.” The next day I had a new couch.
What's interesting too was when the driver came back with a new couch, he said, “We catch all the flack because we're here.” I said, “No, I understand.” He says, “You know, in the last 10 days, we must have had 10 complaints about customer service.” So I'm not the only one apparently. Every dealing with La-Z-Boy with the exception of customer service on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 10 plus.

We went to store and purchased two recliners. After just 6 months the chairs make loud noise every time you sit or get up. But the absolute WORST is the dye has come off the leather. Called the insurance and were told it was our fault due to my husband having oily skin, you kidding me. We had a Lane leather couch that he laid on day and night for 8 years with the same oily skin and did not have one mark. Our only option was they shipped a new back on the one that is completely ruined, and sent us a video on how to replace ourselves. I always thought La-Z-Boy was an upstanding company but apparently I was wrong! Now we have to keep all parts of the chair covered with cloth because we know it will do it again. We paid over $2000 for two chairs and our family room looks ridiculous. Never again would I buy anything from them. Once the hard sale is done customer service is terrible!

We recently purchased a sofa recliner and a couple of other things from La-Z-Boy. We were doing some remodeling and some freshening up. Our other stuff was probably about 10 years old so we decided to get new furniture. It was our first time purchasing from them. The sales representative we dealt with was awesome. We were pretty indecisive about what we wanted so it took a couple of visits, going back and forth and re-looking at stuff and going back home and measuring. We really couldn't make up our minds. The two deciding factors for us were the quality of the La-Z-Boy furniture and also because they were having an amazing sale at that time.
The quality so far is just above anything else we've ever seen here in Ohio. I would say it is even better than the price. We saved a couple of thousand dollars on the furniture we purchased. Brenda our sales associate was amazing to work with. She was very honest when she said it would take anywhere from 8 to 11 weeks, explained to us why it took so long, and then as we got closer to our due date. She was just awesome to work with and scheduled it to be delivered according to our schedule and not theirs.
It was the same thing for the delivery team. My husband said they were extremely careful. We had a couple of leather pieces and they were really careful to bring those in and not scratch the furniture and our walls. It's the first time we've ever had anything delivered to our home and my husband inspects aircraft engines so he's really very detail-oriented. He couldn't find anything wrong with any of the pieces. He says it really was a good experience.

The La-Z-Boy furniture is great and the lady that helped me out was outstanding. She let me walk around and look at furniture without harassing me unlike in the other furniture stores. It was important for me that the furniture is assembled for the most part in the United States and the quality is outstanding. I took care of the scheduling right when I was checking out and she was able to set it up for later in the evening which I preferred. She put a request in immediately to the driver and they showed up right between the times they said they would. I had a good experience and probably couldn't have had a better one.

I purchased a chair on Sunday 07/06 at a great price. Got a call for delivery on Tuesday. They gave me recorded message of a window of 10-1 with no option of changing it to afternoon; it was take it or leave it. So I have canceled the order. I have never been told that I could not have a choice of afternoon or morning. That is Horrible customer service. Who is paying for the chair, La-Z-Boy or me? I am paying $69 I should have at least an AM or PM delivery option.

We ordered a couch, loveseat, and recliner on April 13, 2014. We loved our saleslady and she we was very thorough and told us the set would be in by June 20th. I called the store on June 20th and was told that all the pieces but the loveseat were delivered at the end of May and are sitting in the store warehouse. Apparently they forgot to order the love seat. When we made our order we were told the pieces will be custom made together so the dye lots will be the same, that was our only and main concern. We are very nervous that they won't be now. Of course the sales person does not work there anymore when I called.
So many phone calls later, and trip to talk to the manager we were told the loveseat would be in by July 4th. It is now July 7th and the manager told us maybe by the end of this week. He gave me $125 off the shipping to try and make this ok. I called the corporate office and they gave me a case number and assured me the dye lots will be the same. But the kicker in the corporate office does not have a record of my sale because they said that they redid their computer systems and they do not recognize the order number.
I am really upset and thought that going to this furniture company was better than the others. Now I am really concerned. I still have no furniture and am told that I have to wait until 30 days after the told delivery date to get a refund. My phone calls are done because nothing is happening but as soon as July 19th comes around I will cancel. Also if the dye lots are different in any way, I will refuse the order. I probably would not order furniture from them again.

We decided that we wanted the La-Z-Boy power recliners. So we purchased two about a month ago. The quality is great. They’re made in America. The people and the sales rep at La-Z-Boy were very good. Everything was fine with the furniture delivery as well. They text up, call, and let you know when the furniture was coming. We would certainly recommend La-Z-Boy to friends.

We got a lift chair from La-Z Boy because I have problems physically and I needed it. The quality is good. I'm kind of a big guy and probably a little too big for it but it's working fine. The experience with the sales representative was good.

I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for about 10 years now. I recently got recliners to replace our chairs; my wife wanted new ones. Dealing with the representatives at the gallery has been positive. The quality of the furniture isn't like it used to be. The chairs we had, other than the fabric on them, are like brand new. And we bought the new chairs and we had issues with them. The cost compared to the quality is not too bad. Our overall experience with the sales associates was positive. It’s just that it took probably eight or nine months to get the chairs replaced. I don’t know why that was, but it was.

OK, La-Z-Boy, I HAVE HAD IT!!!! I paid $150 to have my disabled husband's recliner repaired, and the SAME PART JUST BROKE AGAIN! This chair - this very expensive "high-quality" recliner - JUST BROKE AGAIN!!! I cannot afford $150 every 2 weeks to keep your POC chair operating! HOW CAN YOU CALL YOUR PRODUCT HIGH QUALITY? It most definitely IS NOT!! Look at the pictures. You cannot possibly think that these are high quality parts. My husband needs a remote control recliner. He is paralyzed on his right side. What am I supposed to do now La-Z-Boy?

I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 15 years. The recliner that I have needed to be replaced and we moved into a new house and it just felt like we needed to have two recliners with a console instead of just two separate chairs. So we purchased a power recliner and sofa with console.
was so pleasant. It was just the way he interacted that you knew that if there was anything that he could do for you, he would.
As far as delivery goes, I would say that they were able to meet all my expectations. You know, how when you order something it takes forever usually before you get it, but you know that up front they’re not going to tell you that you’re going to have it the next day, type of deal... considering that, they were very honest with the amount of time that it would take before it would get to our house. Also the day my order arrived, there was a problem with it and the guys that brought it in fixed it right away.
They’re motorized and it’s very nice and it’s leather and good quality. We've had it for maybe two years and I don’t have any problems with it at all. I really like La-Z-Boy. In fact, the other furniture that we’ve had since the 15 years I’m talking about was two recliners and a couch and we’re just very, very pleased with La-Z Boy. I’d go back within a heartbeat.

I saw an advertisement in a magazine with Brooke Shields and saw the aqua furniture. It really just struck me. I didn't go with the aqua, but I went with the aqua or teal accents that just sort of pulled me toward it. First we purchased a table and accessories. A month after, we went back and purchased additional furniture. Our other furniture was pretty much worn out, so we got the entire living room.
Our sales representative helped us out and sold us all the stuff. And then we had a decorator come out and she was absolutely awesome. The people we talked to in scheduling the delivery was very friendly - it was nice. I’m very pleased with the quality of the furniture. We have not had it long, but it’s really solid. And that’s what we were looking for: more back support for us. It’s worked out real well so far. The cost compared to the quality is reasonable.

My experience with the people at La-Z-Boy was very satisfactory. The sales rep was exceptional, very professional, but also personal in scheduling the furniture delivery. But the best part of my experience was with the delivery team. Those guys came in with a winning, can-do attitude. There was a little bit of complexity in setting up the Howard Miller floor clock, and some of the instructions were ambiguous, but with their can-do attitude and spirit, they put it together flawlessly. The quality was really good. In terms of cost, it was the most competitive clock that I’ve found anywhere in Southern California, and on the Internet as well.

I've had La-Z-Boy before and it was just worn out. It was threadbare. It would cost too much to cover it so I decided to purchase new stuff. The representatives at the gallery were very good. They’re very knowledgeable people and are not pushy. They let you decide what you want and when to buy. They just let us walk out and think about it, and that’s why we bought from them. We love the quality of our furniture. It’s awesome.

I told my wife that I’m willing to invest in some furniture because I’m a senior now, I’m 69 years old, and I want to lay back to enjoy myself and my chair. But last night was a hell of an experience when I fell out the chair.
I’ve had a hell of an experience with La-Z-Boy. The technician had to come to my house today because I got my furniture on Tuesday and I didn’t get to enjoy it until yesterday when the guy put my flat screen TV up for me. I came home last night and I laid in one of the recliners and it broke on me and I fell on the floor. Right now, my neck is still stiff. So what they did is send a technician to the house today after I called them and the guy said he doesn’t know whether the chair got damaged when they sent it or what, but one of the piece of boards in the back was broken.
I’m angry with my experience because my neck is still bothering me. And I told the technician when he came the other day and he took some pictures that he’s the one who told me one of the boards was broken in the back. I told him I wanted two new chairs. I didn’t want them to repair nothing. I just got them a week ago today.

I recently purchased a recliner from La-Z Boy. It was a combination Father’s Day and birthday present for my husband. He’s a big guy and had gone through a lot of recliners. I kept hearing La-Z Boy was built better and would last longer, so I bought one.
I visited two La-Z-Boy stores. The first one was at the La-Z Boy gallery near the Dayton Mall when I took my mother to the airport just outside of Dayton. It was more of a whim to go in and see what they had. I didn’t see the chair that we bought there but the woman there was very nice. I found a different chair but I wanted my husband to go with me to actually try it. We ended up going to the La-Z Boy gallery that is closer to where we live off of Colerain near Cincinnati. That way, he could try the chair, and at this location, they had the one that we ended up purchasing and he just fell in love with it. The people there were also very friendly - no real pressure or anything like that. It was fine.
The gentlemen that delivered the chair were very nice. They carried out the old chair, put the recliner together, boom, boom, and showed my husband how it worked. It was very quick, very expedient. They did a good job in showing everything. Personally, I am too short to manipulate the chair. For me to reach over and use the handle, I’m literally leaning over half the side of the chair. It’s not comfortable for me. But it was great for my husband and he loves it.

We've purchased La-Z-Boys throughout the years. We've had them since 1974 and we're still using that chair. We just got tired of what we had so it was time for new furniture. We had a great sales representative. Everyone that we talked to was good. We used the service of their decorator and she came out to the house and brought samples. We met back with her and she had made the board and we bought everything that she suggested. We had a problem with a clock that came and they sent us a part and we put that on and now the clock is not working. We've talked again and haven't heard anything for the last week or so. But they're trying to get us a new clock. We've gone over that twice with them on this. That's the only thing. Everything else is fine. Everyone likes it and it's the same good quality that La-Z-Boy always has.

We had just painted our house and thought we should replace our living room furniture so we went to La-Z-Boy where we have bought all our furniture for both our homes. We ordered a reclining couch and loveseat and two side tables and a coffee table. The side tables and coffee table were marked 50% off so we thought this was a great deal. The sales person told us that we had spent enough money and they would give us a warranty on the tables against scratches and dings for repairs. When the furniture arrived the delivery man asked us if we knew the tables were floor models and that there was significant damage to them and also they were marked as-is. This was news to us as we were not told this sale was for floor models only.
We called the store and they said we should have known because they were 50% off even though they were not marked as store floor models only. The manager told us all she could do was give us in-store credit and this just made me feel as though we had been taken advantage of. I didn't like her answer so we told the delivery man we would not accept the tables and he should return them to the warehouse. We went to the store and basically the sale person took the blame and they agreed to give us our money back but I feel this was deceptive sales practice and we should have gotten what we ordered. We have always bought from La-Z-Boy for years but we will think twice before we do again.

My husband and I were so excited to purchase new La-Z-Boy furniture back in November of 2013. Since it has arrived in January we have had the furniture picked up and worked on at the service center to replace the cushions which went down almost within the first week of having it. I recently had them back this week to once again replace the cushions on the sofa. The same results, very little padding which makes it so uncomfortable to sit on.
I am so incredibly disappointed not with the customer service but with the fact that you are stuck with the furniture if you are not happy. I would like to be able to exchange this for an upgraded model that is not a recliner as I don't see how without them willing to upgrade the cushion quality that this will get any better. At this point no way will I recommend La-Z-Boy. We work hard for our money, had saved up to purchase good furniture and are so disappointed. With all the complaints about poor cushion quality I just don't understand why you are not willing to upgrade or at least allow an exchange if it is an upgrade. I bought because of the La-Z-Boy name but will never buy again.

We bought 2 La-Z-Boy memory foam recliners from our local Slumberland store. My wife suffers from fibromyalgia so we thought the memory foam should be very comfortable for her legs when sitting and resting and NOT lose its shape like our former (less expensive) recliners. Well, that's what we thought. Her recliner as of today is having its second set cushion and leg rest replaced. This time I had to talk with our local store manager because it had been less than a year since the first one was replaced and the Slumberland service dept. said no to replacing the seat and leg cushion.
We paid about $1,600.00 for these two recliners and are very unhappy with the performance of the memory foam. Our previous 2 recliners we paid about $300.00 each and they held up and lasted longer than these 2 La-Z-Boy chairs are going to. We are not going to shop Slumberland or buy La-Z-Boy products ever again unless someone agrees to replace these chairs with something of much better quality.

We just purchased two recliners from La-Z-Boy. I needed a lift chair because I had my double knee replacement. The quality has been very good. We've had their furniture in our home for 10 or 15 years. The sales representatives at the gallery were all very nice, pleasant and knowledgeable. The associate that scheduled our delivery date was fine as well. We were able to get dates that we wanted. No problem. The delivery team was very good. They were always within the time window that they stated and were efficient. They come in, bring it out. Overall, our experience has been good all around - from walking in to the store to having the products delivered.

The two matching chairs I ordered did not match due to the positioning of the fabric. On 7/1/14 the manager agreed that the pattern did not match, he was to talk to the factory rep the next day 7/1/14, and call me on 7/3/14. He did not call.

The recliners we had were getting worn out so we purchased a recliner and a sofa from La-Z Boy. Their sales rep was very friendly. She seemed to know what she was doing and she helped us pick out what we wanted and it was just a good experience. So far we're very happy with the furniture. I bought a big man recliner new (special ordered it), got the chair and it seemed fine at first, then slowly after a few months' use, I noticed when you leaned back in it the chair would tip back! It wasn't long after that the chair was leaning, the store we bought it at came and put some screws in the base (still within the one year warranty) and said it was all fixed, the lean was gone but the same tipping issues remained and it broke again within about 2 weeks. This time the warranty had JUST expired past the one year mark.
Spoke to La-Z-Boy, drove the chair to them. They were nice about it and replaced the entire base at no cost, they said the stores repair was unacceptable, I was so happy because I thought I would be getting my chair back and working! I got it back and they did replace the base, no leaning hasn't broken or anything BUT the same tipping issue the chair just literally tips back, you sit down and you're looking at the ceiling! If I lean back in it the chair it literally tips over, I had to put two 2 inch blocks under the rear feet JUST to be able to sit in this chair without tipping back.
I have no idea why this is happening but it's been looked at by the store (repaired poorly), then driven out to a La-Z-Boy repair facility where they replaced the entire base, but I still just tip right over in it, the blocks sort of work but it still even with them under the rear feet area tips more than any other chair. Are the springs shot, was the base put on at the wrong angle, idk. But now the chair is out of warranty so even though it looks new, feels great. I can't sit back and enjoy it without literally tipping over, even with the blocks. This thing is scary cuz it's on edge of tipping at any moment.
