Purchased new chair on 1/3/15, received on 1/7/15 with wrong color legs. It took customer service a week to investigate and legs were never sent. I was told legs would be sent 2/10/15. You have one upset customer here because there is no service!

We went there because we had purchased from them before but that was quite a few years ago. We purchased some power sofas and a recliner from La-Z-Boy. The sales representative showed us the products and these were on sale then so it went well. We got the couches fairly quickly but for the chairs, we had to wait some weeks. They had to manufacture them. It was a good experience. It's a good product with a pretty good price so we're happy with it.

I purchased a sofa, loveseat and some chairs from La-Z-Boy. I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 30 years already and just needed to update the style. My interactions with the sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery and the associate scheduling the delivery went fine. They were very patient with me, which is pretty hard to do sometimes. The delivery went well and the quality of the furniture I received was pretty good. I'm not sure I'm happy with the Ottoman, but we'll see.

I've had a La-Z-Boy before and decided to get a loveseat and a recliner since my other stuff got pretty uncomfortable. The sales representative was able to answer all our questions and we made the purchase on the first stop. We're happy with the product and we like the fabric selection. We're pleased with it.

My first La-Z-Boy purchase was a sofa and a recliner. When we went to the gallery, the sales representatives were not very helpful because they were trying to push getting the stuff from whatever they had there. Since they didn’t have the color that I wanted, we ended up doing it online. But the associate that scheduled the delivery was great and they were on time, Christmas Eve. The overall experience was okay but the quality of the furniture was great.

10/13/14 ordered a custom leather sofa and chair from La-Z-Boy Furniture on Stevens Creek Blvd. in San Jose, CA. 1/31/15 La-Z-Boy called to say furniture was in and I gave them my Chase charge card no. for the balance. 1/3/15 sofa and chair were delivered, but noticed the chair had black spots on it and was rippled on the back, sides, front and arms, the couch had what looked like a patch on one of the cushions. Called La-Z-Boy and Mary said to call customer service on Monday.
1/5/15 spoke with Niomi in customer service. She said a tech would come out on 1/12/15 to look at it. 1/9/15 Terra called and left a message saying Israel would be out on 1/12/15 between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. I called back to confirm. 1/12/15 by 2:00 no one had showed up so I called La-Z-Boy customer service and ** said he should be here in 15 minutes and she would have him call when he was on his way. I never got a call, but Arturo (not Israel) showed up at 2:37 pm. He looked at all of my concerns and took pictures. He said the sofa cushion could be replaced and that the chair would need to be reupholstered because of the shoddy work. He confirmed every area I pointed out. He said someone from La-Z-Boy would call me within 48 hours. No one did.
1/16/15 called customer and spoke with Vanessa. She said Arturo will call me back but couldn't say when. I asked to speak with ** (manager) and was told she was in a meeting, but Vanessa would leave a message and ** would call me back within 24-48 hours. She never did and I left messages on 1/20 and 1/22, but never got a call from **. 1/20/15 called and spoke with Vanessa in customer service and she reiterated what she told me on 1/16/15. 1/22/15 called and spoke with Vanessa in customer service. She said that it looks like there are parts that need to be ordered. I asked her if they had been ordered and she said she didn't know and that she sent Arturo an email but he hadn't replied. I asked for Arturo's number and she said they couldn't give it out. She also said the parts would take 2-6 weeks to arrive and the chair would be reupholstered at my home.
1/23/15 called for ** and was told she wasn't in. 1/27/15 called and spoke with Elizabeth in customer service. She said Arturo place the parts needed on 1/14/15. She saw the pictures and said she would contact corporate to see if they would just send a whole new chair since the whole thing had upholstery issues. She said she'd call me back tomorrow, 1/28 or the next day 1/29. She never called back. 2/2/15 called Elizabeth and got her voice mail so I left a message. She hasn't called back as of 2/4//15. 2/4/15 Someone from La-Z-Boy service center (she didn't leave a name) said warranty services is requesting pictures of the front of the unit. (Arturo took pictures of the front of the unit when he was here.)
I'm so disgusted with the lack of customer service from La-Z-Boy. Also when they answer the phone and/or leave a message on your phone they need to identify themselves. I've never dealt with such inadequacies over a purchase and you can bet this is the last time I do business with La-Z-Boy.

I purchased a recliner and sofa from La-Z-Boy in June of 2013. The back of the recliner broke within two months and I had to get it exchanged for another. Now the footrest has broke on it. It hasn't had very much use and we've had more trouble with it than comfort. My father recommended buying La-Z-Boy because his recliner has had no problems since 2000 and he is a big man weighing 350 lbs+. I am about 200 lbs. and I take care of furniture very well. Now my chair is out of the 1 year warranty and I'm expected to pay for labor on fixing a poorly built La-Z-Boy recliner. 15 years ago I would recommend La-Z-Boy. My friends bought a sectional from Ashley for the same price as our loveseat and recliner. It is more comfortable and they've had no problems whatsoever.

I had a very good experience with La-Z-Boy. They were real nice with showing me everything, and I've been satisfied with the chairs that I got. They delivered them great and the guys were great with that so I have no problem with them.

For almost 30 years I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home. I had one slight problem with La-Z-Boy: I bought the lift chair before in the store and used it very little. My husband broke 5 ribs so he couldn't lift it and I couldn't lift it either. The warranty ran out yesterday and today it got broken so we had to buy a new one. We didn't get discount for what we bought which I thought we probably should but we got it anyway. But overall, we like La-Z-Boy. In fact I recently bought a new power recliner and a sofa from them. It's made in the USA and it holds up good.

I had a friend that had a La-Z-Boy power sofa that we liked, so we decided we want to get one too. And we purchased a chair, before that sofa, for my mother at the same store. The sales reps were very nice and informative. The delivery guys were also great. The quality is very nice. We really like the sofa and use it every day. I would buy La-Z-Boy again.

I have been a loyal La-Z-Boy customer for over 30 years. I have purchased several reclining chairs and sofas over that time and never had a problem. When I began to furnish a vacation home I thought of La-Z-Boy right away. The first independent store I contacted tried to steer me away from a La-Z-Boy sofa, due to quality issues. I did not listen. I ordered a $2,000 sofa from La-Z-Boy in Ocala FL.
When the sofa came I noticed the center cushion did not exactly line up, but I thought if one of us sat in the middle from time to time it would compress. Instead it got much worse, very quickly. I contacted the store and they sent two delivery guys out to take pictures. The guys pretty much told me right away, they've had similar complaints and there is nothing that will be done, even though you can see clearly the back sections of the couch do not line up. One actually told me I was expecting perfection and that La-Z-Boy's quality is not as good as it once was. The customer service person, Nina called me and first said there was nothing that could be done. When I told her I needed to purchase additional furniture for this home, she changed her tune.
She said they could add additional padding but that over time the sides could compress. We were in the process of deciding on a service call date, when one of the motors stopped functioning. I have owned this couch for 3 months and because it is a vacation home, it has only been in use for about 1 month. My husband and I are very average in size, so this furniture has not been abused. What a mess.
I called La-Z-Boy's Customer Care. I talked to Anna who was very nice and assigned case number ** and she referred me to Donata who told me that a misalignment was not a manufacturing defect and that I was expecting too much from La-Z-Boy. This is not a satisfactory response. If this is the best La-Z-Boy can do, they have lost this customer forever.

The salesperson at La-Z-Boy quit while they were in the middle of my order and they had it sitting in their warehouse, but they didn't even know it was there. But the experience ended up okay and it wasn't a problem because they told me 8 weeks for delivery and it turns out they had my stuff after 4 weeks. We got our stuff and everything is okay now. This is the second time we've bought their stuff because we had another set of chairs that we've had for 20 years and they're very good.

It was time to replace our furniture because the spring of it was wrong, so we bought a power sofa and loveseat from La-Z-Boy. I like it. The sasles representatives in the gallery were very helpful because I was very curious about other colors and fabrics. They were very informative with that information, and very patient because I had a lot of questions. I have texts telling about the durability of the fabrics and they answered all my questions very promptly. It was very convenient.

This is my complaint being sent to Channel 6 on your side in Columbus, OH for consumer complaints. We feel we have been more than fair and patient with Mill Run La-Z-Boy - Hilliard, OH. This set of Sofas (2) were purchased 4/2014--Delivered July 2014. The nightmare began. The seat cushions scrunch up--will not let the recliner fully close. These are the third set of seats (1 original and 2 replacements). Last replaced Jan 30, 2015. Took pics on Jan 31, 2015. Worse than before. We are told there are no refunds only Comfort Care. Will not let you talk to a supervisor. We expect restitution. The sofas were very expensive. With all the sales our final furniture cost was $7,300.00 + and 6 months of misery. La-Z-Boy needs to be more responsible with its customers. Action Requested.

We had been using the same furniture since we moved into our home 11 years ago, so we went looking around for new furniture. We decided to buy La-Z-Boy. The people there were great and spent time with us and one of the women came to our home and measured our room so that we could make sure that we bought the correct stuff. For me that was really helpful.
We had several deliveries wherein the first group of delivery was fine. The only difficulty that we had was this last delivery. We got a couch that had some damage on it and we wanted to put it outside so that we could get rid of it. We were told that it would be taken care of but when the guys came they wanted money for it. So we went ahead and gave them the money because between the two of us we couldn't carry the thing out. It was just a surprise because we've had a previous delivery and hadn't had that issue and this time we did.
Also some of the material on the couch was loose. It gave way so that it was outside of how it should have been. Someone is coming to look at the couch and see if it can be fixed but it’s taken another month for the people to come and fix the furniture, which seems like a long time after we indicated we had a problem with them. It could have been a lot better experience...

We just bought a new house and bought a new sectional from La-Z-Boy. The cost was pretty significant compared to some of the other places we looked but we thought if we're gonna make this investment, it warranted that we get the best that we could. We like the furniture and so far it's good but I guess we'll see years down the line... I think so far they seem to be quality products, and the service has been great. We had three different sets of delivery teams: one that put the sectional together and then we had someone come out to reconnect it and everybody's been good and professional.

I got a hot pink suede couch from La-Z-Boy that my dad bought me as a gift for Christmas. Delivery was great. I still haven't received the rebate check yet though. I called before but nobody has given me a callback yet. They told me to give them 30 days from the time they sent the check out which was the 2nd of January. I called back the 2nd of February and I still haven't heard anything from the main person. Besides that everything was good. Abby did a great job with helping me coming out to measure my spot to see if the couch that I got would fit and when my couch arrived it was just beautiful.

I bought a sectional from La-Z-Boy since we sold all our furniture since we moved. Everyone at the gallery was helpful and that's considering that we went running back a number of times and had to change things. And the sectional - very happy and pleased with the quality. We even had it delivered early which was nice. The delivery guys that brought everything in, they set it up and moved it a few times for us and they were very patient, understanding and cooperative. I would definitely go back to La-Z-Boy.

I've had a very good experience with my La-Z-Boy. The two decorators that came to the house were extremely helpful. The delivery people were very polite and helpful. When we went to the store everyone tried to help us. We were considering fabric and everything. Overall the store, the delivery and the decorators were all good experiences. I had no problems.

I began my journey to have my chair repaired in December. I was given a repair date of 12/21/2014. The repair person came, was very nice but found that he had to order more parts to fix the problem. I did not get another date until 01/31/2015. First, I had to call at 10:00am. The store was not open when it said the store would open at 10am. I finally had my call answered at 10:41am. They gave me a time frame between 12:30-2:30pm. When 2:30pm came... I called customer service. They said maybe he was running late. Then I got a call a few minutes later that the repair person had a family emergency and I would have to reschedule.
The first date available that I could be here because I work during the week was 02/21/2015. I now have wasted not only a Saturday waiting for the repair, but now have to wait another 21 days. There is nothing I can do but wait. You have great furniture but I would not buy anything else from your company because of your repair services or lack there of. Thank you for allowing me to express my feelings.

We purchased a four piece living room set in 2013. Around six months after purchase we noticed the wood on one of the arms of the sofa was very uncomfortable to sit against as the padding was starting to thin out. Now at two years, there isn't any padding left on that sofa arm. We were in no hurry to call La-Z Boy as we had been told we had a lifetime warranty. We decided to call them to come out to repair the sofa arm and we are told that the warranty was only for the first year. They want us to pay for $116 per hour for labor plus $16 for the replacement padding. We were told that if we wanted to pay cheaper, we could do it ourselves by calling any local furniture repair and do the repairs.
At the time of purchase, we were impressed when we were told by La-Z Boy that they "stand behind" their product and we would have a "lifetime" warranty. Our final decision to purchase from La-Z Boy was because of the way they stressed to us, going into detail, how La-Z Boy stands behind their product and how for the lifetime of our furniture "everything" would be covered including padding, spills, tears, etc. It appears La-Z Boy does not stand behind their products and their advertising a "lifetime warranty" is only a scam to get the customer to buy their product. So very disappointed in the La-Z Boy.

This is not my first purchase from La-Z-Boy since we've had the furniture in our home since 1982. We moved from La-Z-Boy for a while but recently I was ready for another recliner. Their products are "made in USA," so I knew I would get a quality product. The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was outstanding, very helpful and patient with me while I took my time and made my decision. Scheduling our delivery went very well too. I just had a service call the middle of this week as one of the end chairs of my recliner was a little further back than the other side. It's still that way and I'm not 100% satisfied with the explanation, but I think it's something I'm just gonna have to live with. But it was a very good experience.

I purchased 2 new leather power reclining loveseats which were delivered in April of 2014. By Autumn, the finish started wearing off of the leather of the seats, exposing raw leather. I started a claim with La-z Boy in October. It's now January 30, 2015, and it still has not been fixed, and the leather is still on backorder. Every time I call, I'm assured the leather is on its way, and will arrive on such and such a date. The date comes and goes, and no word form LZB. I call them again, and get the same song and dance. Now I'm told March 4, 2015. It didn't take them this long to build the entire set!! Why can't they assemble 4 seats in a reasonable amount of time?! I suppose the answer is they already have my money, so they're now building pieces for new customers. These two pieces set me back about $5K, which is by far the most I have ever spent for two pieces of furniture. I bought these pieces as a repeat customer, but I will never return after this experience. I plan to do everything I can to get the word out about La-z boy's poor quality and lousy service.

Purchased a leather couch from La-Z-Boy - big big mistake. It started peeling about a month after. It has been such a mission to resolve this and frustrating as I am still paying on it. No response from store manager in Chicago on Easton Ave., cushions and seams are peeling, in between seats, terrible. Closing my acct with them, please don't buy from them. Poor service.

My La-Z-Boy's recliner has got a hole in it and they're going to come out and fix it. They had replaced my end tables already because they didn't work right and I haven't even got to pay for them yet. The people who waited on me were very nice and helpful so all in all it was okay.

The La-Z-Boy recliner was purchase from a La-Z-Boy Gallery, delivered on 1/23/13. This recliner has the power feature. This product was not used excessively, maybe three hours a day during the week. It had been making wobbly movement and cracking sounds, when on 1/25/15, as I pushed the power feature to raise the foot rest, the foot rest went all-wonky, crooked and wouldn't lift up. I turned over the chair to find what I can only classify as a cheap piece of plastic (washer?) broken into pieces under the chair. Come to find out there are many cheap plastic pieces holding this thing together.
I am angry to have spent $1,000 for such a poor quality item. I'm even angrier because when I was in the show room back in 2013, another dissatisfied customer was there telling me not to buy the chair, that it had plastic pieces and it would break.. I was so convinced of La-z-boys' quality, I disregarded that man's comments. Just take a look at what $1,000 gets you with a La-Z-Boy recliner.

I am writing this in great despair. My mother-in-law has owned La-Z-Boy reclining chairs for at least 30 to 35 yrs. Mrs. ** has had them recovered and still uses them to this day. Since the La-Z-Boy name and reputation has been outstanding with our family, we recently purchased a Owen reclining console loveseat in wheat leather (LE981467) from La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries 410 W State RD 436 Altamonte Springs FL 32714. It was delivered in Feb 2014.
We have had this love seat less than a year and have had to call for repairs twice -- once in Dec of 2014, and now Jan of 2015 for repairs to the handle mechanism on the right side. This piece appears to be made of a hard polycarbonate plastic. It breaks at the same place on the plastic part that seems to get the greatest stress from the pull on the handle. Maybe La-Z-Boy should consider changing the material of that plastic part or the design of the mechanism. We know that by redesigning or changing the material it may cost the company a bit more to manufacture. In the long run it will pay off with positive customer feedback instead of negative.
We are very disappointed in the problems that we have had in our love seat. We purchased this with the thoughts of buying made in the USA. We would not have to make such a costly purchase again for some time because of the La-Z-Boy reputation. I know that as the leader of the furniture world and a made in the USA company, you would want to know our thoughts about your product. We have owned other leather sofas Ashely 2001. My mother still owns this and the release mechanism has never been changed. We also bought a Klaussner 2007 and still own it to this day and have never had a problem with this release mechanism. Because of this issue I am not sure that I will spend the extra 1000.00 to buy La-Z-Boy again. We truly hope that you may listen to your customers on your products. Reputation truly means a lot.

I purchased the Ally Silver Luxury Lift Chair from La-Z-Boy in November and was delivered on November 8, 2014. I purchased this chair for my mother who had a double hip replacement, and now a blood clot. I felt I needed to get a "quality" lift chair so I went to La-Z-Boy. Since it was delivered on November 8th, there was a recall on the control wand, and now the chair does not work at all. We had to wait over one week for a repairman and now needs to wait another week for parts.
I called the Mentor, Ohio store where I purchased it and was told they have to contact customer care. She was not at all in my opinion very helpful. Her answer was to wait for the part and see what happens. Why a chair for $1200 does not work after less than 2 months. I am really dissatisfied with my purchase of this chair. Please I would really like to pick out another lift chair to replace this one as I need a dependable chair or discount the one I currently have. Where is the quality and customer service I thought La-Z-Boy represented. Thank you.

We went to the La-Z-Boy store a few times to get everything organized. The sales guy, Brian, was great. Jenny was incredible, she came when they installed everything. Everybody has been fabulous. I've just been really impressed with them. Furniture looks wonderful. The only thing is, we're still waiting on our carpet, an area rug, and we've been waiting for a really long time. I'm not really happy about that. And we called Brian about this but he wasn't really great at following up with our missing piece. Everything else was fine, but it’s just leaves a bad taste in my mouth right now because it’s not complete. And we paid a lot of money for this furniture.

La-Z-Boy has the laziest Customer Service Department, rivaling the cable company. When you call Customer Service you are immediately put on hold for 10-20 minutes. I called for warranty service on a chair. It takes two weeks for them to send the parts to your home, then after that, up to 6 additional weeks to get a repair date. They will not schedule a repair date until after you receive the part. What a waste of time! Meanwhile the chair is completely unusable and we have house guests staying. But they have a System and they cannot change their System. If it takes 8 weeks to get a chair repaired, something is wrong with their System.
Poor communication and a complete disregard for the customer are hallmarks of their System. I needed an afternoon time slot because my husband works swing-shift (their time slots are 4 hrs.). The best they could do for me was a 10 am-2 pm time slot. The Comfort Care (Cust. Serv) Dept. said that they would make a notation that I wanted the service to come after 12 noon, and that the dispatcher would call me before the date and I could make my request for an after 12 noon slot at that time. The dispatcher never called me, nor did I have any way to contact him. If I had been given a phone number for the dispatcher, a lot of communication problems could have been cleared up.
I received a phone call from the repairman Jaime, not the dispatcher, a few days before the service date. I made a 2nd request for the after 12 noon slot. The repairman was not a great communicator, but he let me believe that every effort would be made to accommodate my needs, when, as would be seen, he had no intention even trying to do so. The repairman called after the dispatcher had already determined his route, so no changes could be made. On the day, the repairman called at 10 am, the absolute earliest end of the time slot, and showed up a few minutes later. He could not have made less effort to accommodate my needs. His early arrival caused GREAT PROBLEMS, more than I can even describe here. If he had communicated to me that he had no intention of accommodating my time frame, I could have cancelled the appointment and rescheduled. But, he was a terrible communicator.
If Customer Care originally had communicated to me that I could take their warranty part and hire my own repairman, one that has a better understanding of the meaning of customer service, I would have done that. I could have had faster and better and possibly less expensive service. I complained in the initial call about the ridiculously long wait for repair scheduling, and they did not communicate any alternative to me. Don't any of the repairmen work in the afternoon? The repairman said that I was the middle of his calls for the day and he showed up at 10 am. Are the repairmen cheating the company? Taking a whole day's pay and only working until early afternoon?
When I called after the fact to complain about the dispatcher & repairman's lack of customer service, the company's customer service department couldn't care less. There doesn't seem to be any human intelligence operating anywhere. No improvements can ever be made to their System. I will never buy another La-Z-Boy product. And I cannot recommend them to anyone else. A Very Dissatisfied Customer.

Our experience with Lazy Boy was, frankly, exhausting! We were told they had sofa/loveseat in stock that could be tailored for our fabric. Days later we were told the sofa had been discontinued weeks before. Our representative did not know this, so at our next walk through we asked another salesman about the sofa who said it was NOT discontinued but then is was! AHHH! We finally found something else we liked, they told us it could be up to 8 weeks to deliver it (!). It took twelve weeks!!! The lamp just came after 14 weeks!!! They kept making excuses for the delay.
It was always OUR fault for not understanding their information. When the furniture was delivered we had no idea that we would have to pay a couple of independent guys with a pickup truck to take our old furniture. That cost another $60 bucks! **, the decorator, has some good ideas. Unfortunately, just like the other staff, she has a way of not telling you all the information and made excuses and blamed us for misunderstandings. Trust me, this turned into a very, very, long and expensive nightmare. It's comfortable furniture, but dear lord, it was not worth it.

I recently purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy because my old one broke. We have had La-Z-Boy in our home for probably 40 years. Initially I wasn't really happy with the new recliner but then I went back and the same person asked to help me. I told her what I thought about how she acted when I was there the first time and that I would prefer a different salesperson. She apologized profusely and I ended up dealing with her.
The furniture seemed awfully expensive to me, but I know it's good quality furniture. The schedule for delivery went okay. I resented that we had to pay to have them do it. First we had to pay for it to be brought down from another city. Unfortunately the delivery team drove off of the driveway and did some damage in the grassy area of our yard, and my husband told them about it. But the delivery part and their behavior was fine. La-Z-Boy is good but expensive.

We purchased a sofa and loveseat in Brick, NJ the furniture was delivered on September 14th 2013. In May of 2014 we noticed that the fabric started to pull apart. We called and the technician came and suggested that all 5 cushions be replaced. It took from May till August for each piece to be mailed separately. They were replaced on August 9th 2014. December 14th, 2015, we noticed that the replacement pieces less than 4 months old are doing the same thing. We called Customer care, and they sent the same technician to look and take pictures again.
We got a call on January 7th from Comfort Care stating that we have no coverage since our warranty is over and that this is just "nap compressions" from normal wear. How can that be possible on 2 separate sets of cushions less than 1 year old and in a household of only 2 people. We feel that defective material was replaced with defective material. We are extremely unhappy and disappointed with the quality and customer service of a company that prides itself on its quality of it products.

I was a little leery about purchasing a chair with heat and massage. But I was assured if anything went wrong, it had a 5-year warranty and would be fixed. Well, after 3 years, the motor is grinding terribly and I'm told a replacement part is no longer available. Really? I made this purchase in confidence that La-Z-Boy would stand by their warranty. But they haven't. I'm very disappointed by this and it will probably be last La-Z-Boy product I ever purchase!

Last week I purchased a power recliner and reclining love seat for $350 total from a local thrift store. These La-Z-Boy items are the most comfortable units of furniture I have ever owned. They look brand-new. The retail is over $2000.
The only problem involved the power transformer which was the incorrect voltage - no fault of La-Z-Boy - for the recliner. The transformer was the one that came with the unit purchased used. However, I was able to order one from Amazon for 22 dollars and a local repair shop grafted the hard-to-find plug which attaches from the transformer to the jack under the seat.
My kids battle over the furniture because it is so comfortable. Also kudos to the local gallery store for being so attentive and helpful when helping me with information on replacing my power transformer. This is the store on Hwy. 378 in Lexington, SC. Brandon ** and manager Tracy were spectacular.

La-Z-Boy is wonderful. They were very helpful and very nice when they delivered the furniture. Those guys carried it down the hill, set it up and it was gorgeous. We're very happy, in fact, I was back there and ordered some more. We even bought furniture for way up north, brought our trailer and they packed it up and we hauled it all the way.

Wish we had read the reviews first. Purchased a $1800.00 recliner from Fort Myers, Florida store. Had to fight with them about the length of time for delivery. Finally got the delivery refunded, but read the fine print on the back. We are stuck with an uncomfortable recliner that we hate. Should have taken a book & sat in it about an hour before buying. They just want to make a sell & screw the customer. No more La-Z-Boys!!

We had a couch from La-Z-Boy and we had problems with it from the very beginning. It just kept on having issues so they finally gave me a new couch. I do have the new couch, it's very nice, but we'd like to put the attachments on the loveseat so the chaise and the other parts can be attached. They're supposed to have a repairman come in to put the attachments on. I would say the quality control is an issue with it because the couch they originally sent me really shouldn't have been sent out in that condition. It wasn't standing right, the cushions were bad; the screws were falling out from the recliner that's attached to the couch.
Also my husband's recliner has to be repaired. They had to replace the mechanism. Then the end table wobbled back and forth and I didn't know what to do about that, so they had to send somebody out. When I pushed the other table toward the recliner, one of the legs fell off. When Susan the designer came over she saw that something wasn't right with the furniture. The service people at the store, the manager Christine and the designer Susan did everything possible to help the situation because they seemed to understand my situation.

I just received my third owned La-Z-Boy recliner and was quite disappointed to find out arm/headrest protectors are no longer standard issue. Why wasn't I told this upfront? I was advised by the store they are an additional $75.00. I am still waiting to hear the price for one yard of fabric. I would have never made the purchase had I known this. Still in awe of the company charging customers shipping to deliver to its own store. When paying premium prices, one surely expects better.

La-z-boy will not help you. All the girl will say "our stores are independent contract stores, we can't help you." All they need is a recording. Ok, went to fort Myers, fl. store, purchased a chair 2,000.00 not a cheap. O, they give 48 hr to change or you stuck. Run your credit card that day, we will del in 7 to 10 days. Our order 1/2/15, we call 1/10/15. O, it will be del. 1/30/15. After you pay they will do whatever, got your money and all you are to them is a sold fool. Never again at la-z-boy. If you need the best go to Denmark interior and get a stressless. The best I have one. Cost more, you get the best. No more la-z-boy for me.

In 1999 I purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy. It's fabulous and is like brand new. I have never had any trouble with it. I recently purchased 2 sleeper sofa from La-Z-boy because I'm moving back to my home and I had given away my couch and love seat when I moved out 4 years ago. So now coming back I needed to replace them. I went to different places and La-Z-Boy certainly wasn't the cheapest but they seem to have the best quality for the money.
Scheduling my delivery was fine. The delivery team was lovely. I asked them to open up the beds because I wanted to check out, and they just opened them up to let me see that everything was perfect. They were very, very professional. I don't purchase sofas very often. The couch that I got rid of when I lived here was purchased in 1976. I take care of my things so I can keep them for a long time. It was very important because I wasn't planning on replacing these at all and they could not have sent more helpful, more professional designer because I couldn't decide what pattern I wanted. They bend over backwards for me.

I purchased a couch and chair for my new house. After the first two hours of sitting on it my neck and back got sore. We then noticed there was not enough foam in the cushions and contacted La-Z-Boy. They said it would be filled after xmas. We could sit on couch for a short time before back and neck pain. Then the cushions on the bottom started to curl upwards. Again a tech came and looked at them and said they would be replaced.
It is now January 24 and nothing has been fixed. Two months and I've had no couch. I want my money back. Very unhappy with this product and will never purchase from this company again. I have had $500 couches that have lasted longer than this. I thought the name "La-Z-Boy" would fit in my beautiful home, but it doesn't. I'm embarrassed by my furniture. $3000 down the drain.

My wife purchased 4 items from lazy boy 2+ years ago and 2 of them have padding issues so I contacted lazy boy about the issue and was told the padding is only warranted for 1 year, 1 YEAR!! Had I known this I would have told my wife not to buy but I guess lazy-boy is now just a junk seller. We passed our 10 year old set down to a family member and the padding has yet to break down, but then again it wasn't a lazy-boy. JUNK, just pure JUNK!!!! This is and will be the only lazy-boy to be bought or brought into my house again and believe me I will let everyone I can-know-NOT TO BUY lazy-boy!!

We purchased a double recliner in Oct 2014. Within two weeks the left seat, rear corner failed. The customer service swapped the unit for a new one. The new unit also failed in the same manner within ten days. A technician was sent to inspected the unit stating there was a problem with the seat support and a new seat would be ordered. After waiting for six weeks, with no response from the service center, I called the corporate office requesting a refund. I was informed there are no refunds and there is no expected date for the replacement seat.

On 9/27/2014 we purchased 2 recliners with swivel rock technology and 2 extra long handles. We were told (after we paid in full) that it would be 45-60 days and that usually it doesn't take that long. Our sales person "Cathy" assured us that the chairs would be there either before our moved furniture (from Chicago) got there so that we'd have something to sit on when we moved.
We did not receive our recliners until almost Thanksgiving and when they arrived only one swivel was attached to the large chair, and a standard handle on the small one. We were told that they had to send a service person (this happened a little before Christmas) to install the 2nd swivel and that we need not worry anymore. We in the meantime discovered that I could not operate the small chair without an extended handle (which is what I ordered in the first place) without replacing the one on the chair and paying an extra $50. (REALLY? After the screw up they couldn't have given a free handle?) Especially since the demo we tried had an extended handle on it. Coincidence? I don't think so. The handle arrived today and we had to pick it up and install it ourselves (it requires a special hex torque tool that most people don't have).
We love the chairs but your service sucks and it's not going to get any better. All I got today was "I'm sorry". That doesn't make it better. And we also bought another table "as is" while we were in the store and guess what? It was missing a few bolts which we will get ourselves. It's a waste of our time, and energy to deal with your sales force. Why wasn't the manager involved in this? I have a big mouth and truth is an absolute defense. When you screw up in customer service you start expediting solutions. What did your sales person do? Nothing except say "I'm sorry."

Very unhappy with La-Z-Boy furniture company today. Bought 2 recliners and a sofa. The two recliners appear to have a defect in design in the "pillow-top arms". From 1st day, pillows push to side and my arms (especially elbows) rest on the wood frame. It actually hurts to sit in chairs. Technician out twice, both times recommending replacing arms. La-Z-Boy refuses, tells me it's my fault cause I'm not plumping up the pillows - they say they plump them up everyday in showrooms. They want to replace stuffing and teach me how to plump pillows daily. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I bought these to relax in, not work on. Very disappointed in product and company response.

On Jan 23, I wrote a review of the recliners I purchased from La-Z-Boy. They are extremely uncomfortable, and I've been told by numerous La-Z-Boy representatives that the problem is I don't "plump" the cushions enough. They refuse to replace the arms, and will only send out extra "blown fiber" along with a technician to replace the fiber and teach me how to plump them, even though repairmen have already told me that this will not correct the problem. What makes things ever more frustrating now is that I've had 3 scheduled service calls, sat here all day waiting for the technician, and three times now the technician hasn't shown up due to "car issues". So, not only am I totally unsatisfied with the solution they are offering, but now I've wasted 3 full days over a period of weeks waiting for a technician that never shows up. Then we have to reschedule the service call, and wait all over again.
I asked La-Z-Boy if they could send out a different technician that was more reliable, but they said he's the only one in my area. I also asked if they could at least give me a morning appointment so I would waste the whole day, but they said they cant even guarantee that. I spent over $2000 and have never been so unhappy with a product and a company's service in my whole life. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I'm happy with the furniture and I just adore the designer. But the response time in our communication wasn't that well as far as communicating back to us with updates. That's my only complaint. I would definitely recommend La-Z-Boy and have told people about it.

We ordered a La-Z-boy about 2 1/2 months ago from the Clearwater store and finally got it a week ago. We had picked the hi-end Greyson powered couch and were expecting to be blown away, as we had been in the showroom. The anticipated day arrived and the service guys brought it in and assembled it. I was stunned! This was not what we ordered. There was very little similarity to the quality of the items in the showroom. Especially the Greyson there. This was a Greyson but it looked like it had been assembled by someone who didn't know what they were doing.
Fabric didn't fit right and the cushions didn't line up properly. It clunked loudly at the top and bottom of the recline. It was also 2 inches higher off the floor than the showroom model. Very, very disappointed. Service couldn't come out to examine the couch for over a week.. We had paid close to $2500 and have never had as terrible service ever before. Our salesman was concerned but not the manager.. I called him and he just shrugged me off to the 'service' people. I am hoping service rectifies this... with a new couch made to the standard we saw in the showroom. I have photos.
We will see how this turns out. Once my money was paid, La-Z-boy became a whole different company. I hope they stand behind their workmanship and rectify this. At this point in time, until I see what their 'handling' will be, I cannot recommend this company. And waiting over a week to have some come to see 'if' there is a problem after money has been collected is just not professional service, despite any excuse.

My husband and I recently retired and search diligently for 2 nice reclining sofas, as we figured we be spending lots of time on them. Comfort was a BIG deal! We drove long distances to go to showrooms to sit on sofas and probably looked and tried out over 100 before we finally found one that was perfect at the La-Z-Boy of Kennesaw (GA) showroom. We were told we could select from any fabric that they offered and found a different fabric than what was on the showroom piece. This was during the Labor Day (2014) Week sale. Furniture was delivered on 10/22/2014 (not a problem). Immediately upon sitting on our new $3500.00 pieces, I noticed a major discomfort in the armrest area when the wood was covered with fabric but no padding. It gouges into the body, VERY uncomfortable. Have been told it's made to specifications. We were never told that choosing a different fabric would make such a HUGE difference in comfort. Very disappointed!!!!

I purchased a rocker-recliner on 1/9/15 at a Charlotte store and two days in, the left spring started squeaking. First of all, when I went to pick it up on Friday they had no record of my order. Got it home and two days in, it started squeaking. I got down on all fours and looked underneath the swivel base and saw where a screw was protruding from the spring assembly. Notified the salesman on Tuesday and he gave me the runaround so I returned it on Thursday before the 7-day return policy expired, after he again promised to come on Friday to fix it or send a Technician.
Thursday evening when I talked to him he said he was at the hospital but I decided to return it anyway and took it up to the store... He had been there but vanished when he saw me come thru the door. They must put their bad chairs off on non-preferred customers.

I ordered a fabric blue recliner with electric ejection capacity to help get out of the chair. However, after only 3 weeks the motor stopped working and I'm still waiting for repair to come out to fix it. It's been 3 weeks and they are not scheduled to come out until next week - will be 4 weeks of waiting. Don't they have enough repair people? The customer service said they had reduced the wait from 4 weeks to 3 weeks and I should be happy about that. Customer service had a nasty attitude like I was expecting too much from them. By the time it gets fixed I will have owned it for 7 weeks and only used it for 3 or 4 weeks. Why so long?? No answer. In fact they were irritated at me because I was angry about the lack of service. This company sucks big time. Forget about Lazy Boy!!

I placed an order in November 2014 for a special order lift chair. I gave a 50% deposit. I received a phone call on January 20 that my chair was in, but I needed to come into the store with final payment. I was informed that I could not pay the balance by credit card which I find very odd. I am a 70 year old woman who does not live local to the store. I told the manager that I would send my son-in-law with a check, but that was not acceptable either as my license was required.... Again a credit card would have been the best solution in my eyes. After discussing the situation with my daughter, we called the store back and told the manager that my son-in-law would be coming with a check from his account paying my bill. This whole payment situation was an extreme inconvenience to myself and family. I will rethink my future furniture needs.

The people at the store we went to were phenomenal. We tried probably 50 chairs, and they were very patient. It was a great experience.

My wife and I purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner approximately a year and a half ago. At that time we were moving into a new location that had just laid brand new carpet when we moved in. The first thing that I noticed one day when I went to vacuum was a black line where the recliner sits. Immediately, I moved the recliner and cleaned the spot. It has taken several times to remove it. I just read a complaint to the company in which another customer had the same problem, it appears. The representative went to inspect that complaint and said that he'd seen that before but denied that the chair was the cause. There was what appeared to be some sort of blackish liquid that may have leaked from mechanisms from the underside of chair.
The fabric used is of extremely poor quality. In virtually no time the fabric started to pill and continues to this very day. It looks many years old. My wife and I will be moving again next year. She said to me the other day that we will not be taking the recliner with us to our new residence. Instead it will be probably be going into the dumpster. What a shame. We would perhaps have expected this sub-standard quality from one of the bargain furniture stores but never from a name that was always synonymous with the quality of "La-Z-Boy." Very disappointed in Connecticut...

Purchased James loveseat recliner and matching sofa. Loved the sofas in the store but our main concern was the middle console in the loveseat, we wanted to be able to remove it. Sales person told us it was removable so we were happy to purchase. When we decided we wanted to remove the console, we realized the middle console was attached to the whole frame and could not be removed. Very disappointed and we felt the sales person lied to us. Then, a few months later one of the recliners on the sofa stopped working. We spent several thousand dollars in hopes to buy good quality sofas we would be happy with for a long time. We're very disappointed.

I purchase 2 recliners from the San Jose La-Z-Boy gallery on Stevens Creek Blvd. in San Jose, CA. I was on a business trip when they were delivered and installed. I came home 4 days after installation and sat in the family room recliner and the foot rest would not stay up after engaging the handle to its highest position. I called the next day and requested a new chair. Was told that the 3 day period for replacement had passed and that it was time to go into the endless loop of warranty service. One technician came out and stated he couldn't figure out what was wrong but ordered some parts and 45 days later they arrived and I received a call for another service visit.
A different technician shows up with the parts, does his own inspection and says he doesn't think this will fix the problem but installs the parts anyway. He was right, problem still exists. He tells me the service center will call me to follow up. I ask him to write in his report that I am tired of dealing with a broken chair and that I want a new one. He claims he wrote this in his report. I call the service center after 3 weeks of not hearing from anyone and they tell me the service tech wrote that the problem was fixed. This chair is a lemon, plain and simple and they and in no way making lemonade out of the situation. I feel like I have been dealing with the sleaziest of the sleaziest car salesmen.

It was a good experience purchasing my La-Z-Boy. They did not pressure me or anything like that, gave me an opportunity to look around. The sales personnel were patient and answered my questions when I asked. Every time they deliver the time that they told would be there, they would be there. And they would be giving me a return call so they can tell me exactly what time it would be on that day and they got here in that time frame.

WARNING when you buy any item at La-Z-Boy, they will force you to sign in back of the order a statement that give you 3 days after placing the order to return your money. After that, they will not return your money if you change your mind even before the furniture is delivered! Another statement in back of the order reads: "After those 3 days, you may NOT cancel or change your order or obtain a refund." Even if they deliver defective items that they cannot fix! You are stuck with them. Sorry NO REFUNDS! This was my case.

I loved my recliner, but it tipped me over twice. The screws were pulling out of the base. I called and reported the problem and was willing to pay the service charge. When the repairman came out, he said he would need to take it in to the shop and it would probably be over $500.00. I think that is pretty over the top. Wasted $86.50 when they could have told that on the phone. I explained my problem in detail.

My couch was on its way out so it was time to get a new one. I shopped around but La-Z-Boy was the most comfortable, so I purchased a sectional. The sales representatives at the gallery helped me pick out what I was looking for, showed me what they had and gave me lots of information. He definitely did his job. I was not pleased at all with the scheduling. We scheduled a time to have it delivered and I had already got rid of my old couch. Two days before I was supposed to get it, they called me and told me they made a mistake, that there was a glitch on the computer and that they weren’t going to be able to get it to me until a month later, which is the day before Christmas Eve. I had something going on, so I was very disappointed and very upset with that.
I do want to get a set of chairs, and I’m contemplating going back. The product is great but everything that happened afterwards, especially them telling me they couldn’t do anything about it, sours me. They left me cut and dry and I was very unhappy with that. Also, the chaise that goes on in the end of the sectional does not hook together well.

I am extremely upset. I ordered two chairs before Thanksgiving and I didn't receive them until after Christmas. On top of which, when I finally did receive delivery, one of the chairs wasn't working correctly, so I sent it back. WEEKS later, January 15, 2015, I have the replacement chair delivered, it is ALSO faulty. Either this was the same chair, never fixed, or another chair with the same problem. I did not accept it. Now I have to wait for a third chair???? I have bought La-Z-Boy chairs for YEARS and so have my parents. I am extremely disappointed. I am very tempted to return both chairs, and order from someone else. This needs to be rectified, it is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

When one purchases a name brand product and pays the price for quality, one expects just that. I bought a Queen size couch - the style that has the air bed just a couple of years ago. Last September 2014, my eleven year old Grandson leaned on it and the back frame cracked and broke. We weren't concerned because, after all, it was a La-Z-Boy and the frame was guaranteed for donkey's years.
A call to customer service and fighting our way through the system finally got us to a service representative who assured us that the frame was covered under our warranty. READ CAREFULLY BUYERS! They do NOT fix your expensive sofa. Rather, they shipped us three pieces of plywood strips that we had to pick up. That's it! It's up to you to hire an upholsterer to come and pick the couch up, fix it and deliver it to us all at our own expense. Get this, the part that cracked and broke had two large know holes in it! Definitely sub grade material that would have cost maybe $10.00 at a local lumber yard. Would we buy La-Z-Boy again? Not a chance.

We've been buying furniture for about 55 years. Now, we purchased new furniture because the other ones were wearing out, the colors were fading, and we decided we're gonna go with real leather with La-Z-Boy. We went in the gallery and talked to the girl. She showed us the furniture, found what we wanted and bought it the same day. The quality is good and we got to find out how it wears. We bought two recliners and they've been fine except for one thing on it and they were gonna replace the arm.

On Dec. 4, 2014, I purchased two swivel rocker recliners. The sales rep, Vimal ** informed me that only one of the rockers had the swivel already installed on it but a swivel for the other chair would probably available within about a week and that they would come to my house and install it when it arrived. It's now been over a month and still no swivel. I began calling the store weekly after about the first week and continued to be told it would be on its way from the manufacturer and someone would call me to let me know the status. Of course no one called me back. I went into the store last Wednesday and spoke with a person named Kevin, who I had talked to a number of times on the phone, and he told me that a swivel had been ordered from a different company and would be shipped direct to my house.
Unfortunately if they had called me as they indicated, I would have told them to ship the unit to my company where someone is available all day long. Besides wanting to check on the status of the swivel, I received a 30 % off coupon and though of actually purchasing another chair. A fire in my attached garage on July 17th destroyed my furniture which included three recliner rockers with swivels. The chair type that I purchased was in stock but the price had been raised from $399.00 to $799.00. So I declined to buy another one. It's now been a week since I was told the swivel was in route from California and I still have not received it. Needless to say, I'm not very happy with the obvious lack of concern or caring about me receiving my swivel. Could someone please check on why I have not yet received the swivel and actually send me a response.

I have purchased La-Z-Boy products for years and have a chair that is probably 20 years old that is still in perfect condition. So, I did not hesitate to buy another about 5 years ago. The first thing that happened was the fabric wore out in the third year. Knowing the fabric was not under warranty and I filed that problem in a "note to self." Next, when we bought new carpet, we moved the chair and noticed there was a long black line on our carpet. We wondered why it was there and where it might have come from but we were getting new carpet so. Several months after getting the new carpet, we noticed the same marks and by then the side of the chair had bowed out and the arm was falling in. In short, La-Z-Boy did send someone out to look at the chair (who said he had seen the black marks before) and said none of the issues were the fault of the product. SO DISAPPOINTED! No More La-Z-Boy In My House :(

I got a condo in South Carolina so I decided to buy new furniture. I bought some sectionals from La-Z-Boy. Everything was fine with the sales representatives. The furniture is pretty costly, but so far I'm happy with the quality. The delivery was fine too but it seemed to take a lot longer than I expected. Other than that, I'm generally happy.

I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner a long, long time ago. I never had a sofa, so I just bought my first sofa recently. My overall experience was good. I don't have my recliner yet. They were telling me that it won't be ready until February, and that's okay. The delivery people were fine and nice; they delivered it and left. I like my couch; it's just a little noisy.

I wanted a recliner and made up my mind to get La-Z-Boy because they're the best. The quality's been wonderful so far but it was a little expensive - but in this day and age, you pay for what you get. I called the night before we went down. The sales representative was extremely nice and very knowledgeable and took her time. I wanted a good back support, and she knew exactly what recliners to take me to and didn't push for the most expensive. She helped me but let me make my decision, and I appreciate that. She did everything that night including scheduling the delivery. It was wrapped up, and once I made the decision, bam, bam, done. The people in the delivery team were also extremely nice young men. They carried the chair all the way up to the second floor and offered to move furniture the whole nine yards. I'd recommend La-Z-Boy to anybody and especially that store and that associate - it's been a wonderful experience.

Order was promised to be delivered anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. Order placed on October 26 and still no delivery. We called to see why we have not received anything and now they are telling us that we must have not understood what we where told and that we should now expect to have our order at around 12 weeks. That would have been a huge misunderstanding. I expected better than this from a company such as La-Z-Boy.

I have purchased 2 Lazy Boy recliners. The first one the seat lost the support on one side after 2 years. They did add more padding to seat but it didn't hold up. I decided to buy a new one, bad mistake. I purchased it less than a year ago and about 3 months after, again the seat was losing the firmness and causing my back to ache. I contacted the store and was told I could bring it in and they would repair it. Having been that route before and it did not work, as well as the inconvenience, continued to use it the way it was. I have finally given up and have to go and purchased another. Not Lazy Boy! Very expensive and unpleasant experience. The model is the Harbor Town Wall Recliner. I guess my only compensation is to post this review here and elsewhere.

I recently bought two love seats from La-Z-Boy since we gave our old stuff away. The seats seem really nice so far. Its cost is reasonable to the cost. The sales part was easy, quick, and there was no pressure. The sales representative was very conscientious and helpful. She scheduled the delivery and we got it precisely where we wanted it. Overall, it's very good atmosphere in the store while the delivery guys were great and very polite. They put the furniture exactly where we wanted it and set it up for us the way they were supposed to do. It was a very good experience.

I am 6'4" tall and was in the market for a new recliner; I prefer a rocker/recliner. I found one at La-Z-Boy that had a nice tall back and the foot rest extended for the extra support needed. I found a few other recliners that were designed for taller people but they either didn't rock or they didn't have enough back support. I enjoy the rocker function, but due to back problems (just had my 3rd back surgery in two years) I needed the back support. Since this chair was VERY expensive, I purchased the extended warranty as well, thinking it was a wise decision to protect myself once the manufacturer's warranty ran out.
La-Z-Boy says they have a lifetime warranty on craftsmanship; they don't. This chair has broken two times now within a year (I've owned the chair for about 3 years). The first time it was because La-Z-Boy used screws that were too short. It took the extended warranty folks around 3 months to come out and fix the chair. It just broke again a few days ago, but since I just had surgery 3 weeks ago, I can't go without a chair for 3 more months, so my wife and I have had to fix it ourselves. The problem is the wood used by La-Z-Boy that attaches to the springs and allows this chair to rock split and cracked.
We were looking at sectionals, but now know to stay as far away as possible from La-Z-Boy because their after the sale customer service is non-existent. I will never purchase from them again, and have and will continue to tell everyone I know to stay away from them as well. It was purchased in O'Fallon, Illinois from the La-Z-Boy store.

I have had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for four years. I had a baby and needed something in the bedroom that was comfortable at night when he was waking up, so I purchased a recliner from them. Originally, I was gonna get something like a glider but I didn’t have the time to wait for it to be made. The sales rep went through everything and we ended up getting what they had in store that they could get delivered right away. Quality of the furniture is nice. But when you put the footrest up, it’s noisy. It’s noisy when it goes up and noisy when it goes down. My parents have one and it’s not noisy at all. But overall, it was a good experience with La-Z-Boy. The sales associate was good. Experience with the delivery team was perfect, too. They were in and out quick. They put everything together and were very nice. Also, the cost was okay. It was a little high but I know La-Z-Boy’s prices are more expensive than most places.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have sever seen - from the store to the warehouse to corporate. I bought a Greyson chair, had to go pick it up myself, went back to get a swivel installed 2x. They stripped the base and after I got home, the bolt fell into the mechanism jamming it up. The sales guy Scott would not call me back, the warehouse guy Mike was rude and said I would have to pay for someone to come out and fix it. Really folks, that's the way you treat a guy who paid $1600 for a chair? Never again and I canceled the CC on the swivel base with my bank, so maybe now I will get some help.

In April of 2013 I had a double mastectomy. We had a 20 year old Lane Recliner which I found was the most comfortable thing to be in at the time. Being it was so old, and we pretty much were planning to get rid of it because of the outdated fabric (nothing wrong with the chair). My husband and my best friend went down the road to the local La-Z-Boy store and bought me a new recliner. I notice when it was delivered that the "loft" of the head rest didn't seem quite full enough, but I had no choice, I needed the chair.
Now that we use the chair much less than I did back then, we have noticed that the stuffing in the head rest is not filled all the way on one side. I am finally finished with my years and months of surgery and treatments and I starting to take care of issues that have fallen by the bottom of the pile. This chair cost us $800, and we expected it to retain it's shape for a long time, just like the one we got rid of because of the color. We would like somebody to care about the situation we are in, and call us back. The sales woman we bought it from let us know she certainly couldn't care less. She was much more attentive when my husband was buying the chair. My son, and daughter in law have bought a lot of furniture for you in the last few years. But, I think we are going to have to go someplace else.

I've had a La-Z-Boy couch for about ten years and recently purchased a power love seat and sofa. Everybody in the La-Z-Boy gallery was great. They we're very helpful with coordinating the colors and helping me pick. I'd recommend anybody to buy a La-Z-Boy furniture. I have had recliners in the past, bought from Sam's Club or Costco. They last a couple of years and then they're broken. I figured I might as well invest in a La-Z-Boy since I spend a lot of time in my recliner now that I'm retired. To be very honest, I didn't go to La-Z-Boy the last couple of times I bought a chair because I thought it would just be too expensive. I went about three weeks before I bought my chair and I thought the price was high. We looked around and couldn't find anything else, so my kids convinced me to buy it. I'm happy I did, I'm really liking this recliner so far in terms of quality. We're also gonna see how the warranty works.
The sales representative was very knowledgeable and helpful - she didn't try to push anything. I told her basically what were looking for, and she took it from there. I was also pleasantly shocked because even though I went in on Saturday, they called on Tuesday and were able to deliver on their promise to have the chair delivered that day between noon and 2pm. They were very professional, very enjoyable for a sales experience - most places take a week to 10 days to deliver. It has been a pleasurable experience so far with La-Z-Boy and I'd definitely recommend them.

The absolute worst customer service department. No one ever answers the phone at the repair center, and frequently not even a answering machine is available. Does not return calls in a timely manner. Will never recommend purchase of La-Z-Boy furniture in Nashville area.

I visited your Perimeter, GA store to inquire about recliners and was informed by Jovan that there was a tax off sale, if purchased within the next 24 hours. I returned the next day and saw Kelly who disclaimed any knowledge about what Jovan had said; Jovan was off and Kelly assured me he would have him call me. I conditionally ordered two chairs and wrote on the receipt. "Less Tax." No call. I called yesterday and was placed on an extended hold with terrible music. I am very uncomfortable dealing with people like this and want my $800 deposit back. Transaction no. **.

I bought a power recliner at La-Z-Boy and the quality was good. It's very expensive and I’ve seen recliners in other places for a lot less. The sales representatives were okay and the delivery team was very good. It’s not outstanding in any way - I was taken care of and got the product I wanted.

I decided to buy power recliners, loveseat, and tables from La-Z-Boy when I moved into a new house. The quality has been excellent so far but the cost is a little frightening. I haven't bought furniture in over 30 years, so for me it was kind of a shock. But I wanted better furniture than what I see on TV and La-Z-Boy has always been top-of-the-line furniture, as far as I understood. Everyone at sales were quite helpful - the young lady that came in to measure the rooms and all of that was exceptional. I had a good experience with La-Z-Boy. I need a couple more pieces and I will go back there.

We bought our couches in November. Because of the color (white) we were offered a fabric protection plan by Guardian. The sales associate demonstrated the product etc. Bottom line, either the protection was not applied correctly by the La-Z-Boy people or it is a complete sham. Small stains are quickly absorbed and are not easy to remove. Trying to contact Guardian is almost impossible, with waiting times of over 45 minutes and when you do talk to them it feels as they make an effort to disqualify your claim.
After submitting ALL the required documentation etc, we are yet to get a call back from them. I assume most people cannot spend an hour a day on the phone to take care of something so simple. I researched online and it seems that it is common practice for Guardian to avoid responsibility at all cost. I am not sure why La-Z-Boy would continue to use such low quality warranty provider. Additionally it seems like La-Z-Boy should also take more seriously the application of the protection, none of the stains were hard chemicals or food... They should have NOT gotten absorbed so quickly. Shame because the product seems to be of high quality but it makes the company look bad on the customer satisfaction side.

My furniture was 22 years old so I purchased a new one. This was my first La-Z-Boy purchase. Their sales representative was very nice and knowledgeable. The showroom and sales people were very nice. When scheduling the delivery, sales associate was good, as well. Delivery team was very nice, very helpful. But quality of furniture is poor. I wanted to buy American made feeling that the quality would be good and to support the manufacturers here but I’m not happy with the quality. It was a custom-order so it took 8 weeks to get. When I got it, it’s all wrinkled. The material is wrinkled where it should be pulled taut. I immediately called them and they connected somebody out until today, and I haven’t even gotten a confirmation call that anybody’s coming. So I’m unhappy with it. Right now, I’m waiting for La-Z-Boy's customer service to get back to me.

July 2014 we custom ordered a "Big Man" Rocking Astor Power Recliner XR Leather with 5-way electrical controls. The chair was delivered on 9/16/14. On "Sale", this recliner costs us $2785.70. The recliner has developed THREE different problems in only less than 4 months. The footrest control no longer operates smoothly but operates in a jerking fashion. The headrest does not adjust at all. The motor runs but the headrest does not move. And the manually operated rocking mechanism has failed such that the chair always moves to the rear rocking position. In other words I cannot sit straight up in this chair, and when I use my TV tray to eat, my tray is slanted backwards to my lap. Guess where my food wants to go. Great, huh? The service guy is coming out two days from now for the first time. We will see what he has to say. My experience (I am 65 yrs old) with situations like this leads me to believe that this is the start of a nightmare. I hope not. More to come...

I purchased my chair in Feb. 2012 and since then the mechanical parts under the recliner has broken 3 times!!! The third time was just yesterday Jan 4, 2015. Now my chair is no longer under warranty and it broke again. This is a design flaw!!!! La-Z-boy should never use plastic parts for heavy duty work!!! Shame on you!!! Now I'm stuck with a very expensive BROKEN chair!!! I want my money back or a new chair!!!

We purchased a sofa, power recliner and a chair from La-Z-Boy. The sales representatives from the gallery were lovely. The boss lady came over and was helpful very nice, very pleasant, and very confident. They were excellent. We asked them to leave us alone while we searched and they did, and then when we were ready, so were they. The cost was fair, we bought it on sale. We went to other stores, and it was more expensive than others, but it's nicer. The representative took care of scheduling delivery for us and told us when they would be delivered and when someone would call. All of that happened. The delivery team were fine. They had to drop off two small pieces. They were pleasant. Since the furniture is new, so far, we're happy with the quality.

My wife and I visited the La-Z-Boy gallery a few weeks ago as we are in search of a new sectional. We were greeted by a salesman who was very knowledgeable about the products, gave us ideas on what we would like based on our comments and description. He was very helpful - gave us the sheet that outlined the sectional we liked (the griffin), he explained that we should measure and that there was an in home designer we could also utilize, but given our schedules, we felt it was easier for us to go home and measure and look over the information before we made a choice. He also took the time to show us available covers, and there were many to pick from, and that we could pick and choose the pieces we wanted from the collection to make it work for our home. We left feeling very informed and excited to measure and pick out our new sectional.
We spent the rest of the night looking over the information sheet and also utilizing the tools on the website to make a choice on the sectional we wanted. We printed it out to take back with us the next day so we could get our order in. We returned the next day and met the salesman again, showed him what we wanted and he went to work to get a final price put together. We liked the leather version in the showroom and wanted the same thing with some additions, such as power recliners and wedges and a chaise lounge on one end. It took him a few minutes and finally was ready to sit down with us and review the order.
The balance came to over $6500.00. We asked about financing (we had read about it online... not easy to find and understand, but did find it). He directed us to the kiosk in the store and helped us get started. In minutes we were approved for the total amount and took our slip back to salesman. He continued to work on our paperwork and my wife and I were excited to finally have a new sectional on the way. He finished and told us "ok so that will be a total of over $2000.00." I asked for what? He told us we had to pay 30% down on all special orders. This was the first time we had ever heard this information. I asked if he was kidding, he said no - that was the policy of La-Z-Boy. He said we could put it on a credit card or check. I asked “Isn't that what I just applied for?” He apologized and said he should have mentioned it (you think?) and it was the policy of La-Z-Boy. I told him to cancel the order and this was very disappointing. We had not planned $2000 to spend just before Christmas.
I feel like this is the game there, to get excited, offer customized anything and everything, and when it comes to payment, then we tell you about 30% due for a special order. Can you even purchase anything that is not a special order? The website does not help. Everything I looked at and tried to configure required in store purchase - that indicates to me everything is a special order. Our credit will now take a hit for a card we have no intention of using given the way we were misguided by the staff. I do not understand why I would have to pay 30% down when La-Z-Boy would be paid in full from the lending bank for the entire order and I would be on the hook, if I didn't pay my obligation to the lending company.
My wife a week later called La-Z-Boy to ask about what is in store available, and what would be a special order. She was told that each store can order what they want for their floor and that is considered available if it is on the floor at the store. We drove the 20 miles south to another La-Z-Boy store to compare and see if there was something there we would consider that would not be special order. Again, helpful courteous salesman, I asked questions about getting different pieces than what was on the floor. He like the other showed us the information sheet and told us we could mix and match whatever we wanted to make the sectional work for us. There was absolutely no mention of a 30% down for a special order if we chose other covers, colors or power options. Disappointed in La-Z-Boy sales again and we left.
I was willing to purchase what I thought would be a great addition to our home, but was not told about a policy that definitely changed our decision. It was a complete waste of our time to even consider La-Z-Boy and will be shopping elsewhere. In all my years of purchasing, I have never seen this much of a requirement for a special order. We also have another account for something different with the lending bank and have never experienced anything like this. Policy is policy and I understand that. Your potential customers should be told up front about your policy before leading them down a path leading them to believe the purchase will go smoothly. We will be contacting the lending bank to discuss the premise of how we were lead to apply for credit, that was too much to begin with and the game I feel the sales of La-Z-Boy are deploying, in hopes to have it removed from our credit score.

Next day we did shop in other area store and resulted to the lower price plus delivery and set up. Called our salesperson and she agreed to match the price. It pays off to shop around and be clear about what you invest. I will update once the order is here.

I thought it was time to purchase a new La-Z-Boy because we had a different one in the living room and there was wear and tear on it. The sales rep was professional and cordial and to our liking. Delivery was very good because it got scheduled and delivered a couple days before Christmas. I thought it was gonna be much later.
The couch was good, it's just that I want to get satisfied as far as loosening those chairs up a little bit because my wife can't get the recliner to recline in the chair that she normally sits in. Me and my two girls and sons, when they are here, we try to sit in and work it back and forth, recline it and then not recline it, and then recline it again to try and loosen it up. And I suppose over time, I heard it will loosen up but it's not doing much for her right now. There are wing knobs underneath that we could loosen up ourselves, but these are the high leg ones, the two that we bought, and there's no wing that's under there. So, I'm just waiting to see if the service guy can come out and maybe lubricate something and loosen them up.

On 6/17/14 I contacted La-Z-Boy about getting replacement hardware for the two recliners in our 20-year old sofa sectional. Kevin helped me with the order. He called me the next day to confirm that the mechanisms were in transit and would be shipped directly to the upholstery shop, at my request. With this info, I had the upholsterer pick up our sectional to begin the work. Three weeks later the shop told me that the parts had not arrived. When I called La-Z-Boy I was told Kevin was mistaken: the parts were obsolete and the recliners were out of warranty so we weren't eligible for parts. Now I had no furniture and no solution. La-Z-Boy has told me they will have a contractor fabricate the mechanisms due to their error but they can't tell me when that will be done. This is absurd. I wouldn't have spent thousands to reupholster the sectional if the recliners were beyond repair. I call monthly but the answer is always the same: "we have no idea when we can get you the mechanisms." We are beyond disappointed.

On Nov 2nd my mother placed an order for a leather recliner. No special fabric...just a brown leather recliner that was not available in the store. The sales lady that assisted in the order was very helpful and very sweet. She told my mother that it was possible that she might receive it by Christmas but it was more likely to be received by the 1st of January. While driving by the La-Z-Boy store on Dec 31st, we decided to drop in and check the status of the order since we had not heard anything. The salesperson (not the original) had to send an email to the manufacturer and said that she would give us a call back. After not hearing back I gave the store a call. The salesperson took my information and said that she would call me back which she did the same day. She said that the manufacturer was having to look into the delay, however, she said it would now be the end of January before the recliner would be delivered. Not sure how she knew that without the manufacturer relaying that information. Something is not right about this.
I am writing this complaint/concern on behalf of my 84-year-old mother who doesn't have the means to do it herself. Needless to say, she and I both are extremely disappointed in our experience with La-Z-Boy. I have ordered several pieces of furniture in the past and have never had to wait for 3 months.

Memory foam in the recliners doesn't last long. It takes weeks to get it fixed.
After about 6 months of use (started using it since April 2014), the memory foam started to bulge up. Got to a point that the memory foam needed to be repaired/replaced. La-Z-Boy told me that they have been using memory foam in their chairs for about a year and they are not aware of any problems. Of course, I found out that many customers had the same memory foam problems (bulging up).
Called the service department regarding the problem more than a month ago but the problem has not been resolved. See the timeline below. We're currently at week 6.
Timeline:Week 1. Initial phone call - reported problem in detail, specifically the problem with memory foam.
Week 3. Technician visited and took pictures, ordered memory foam replacement. No repair or replacement.
Week 6. Follow-up phone call - still waiting for the memory foam.
Week 7. Expect to receive the replacement. After receiving it, I have to call them again for technician appointment.
Week 8-9. Hopefully we can have the memory foam replaced.
I was assuming that the problem would be completely resolved (replace the memory foam) during technician's first visit. Instead, the technician took a few pictures and then ordered the memory foam replacement, despite the fact that I did explain the problem in detail in Week 1. This was surprising because it's obvious that bulged memory foam cannot be repaired but be replaced. They should have told us the process and ordered the replacement when I first called them in Week 1. According to their service department, the above process is La-Z-Boy's "policy". Again, the whole process was not thoroughly explained during my initial phone call.
No, I do not recommend their services and buying any of their products. Look for other brands if you want something that lasts long. Wish I didn't have to buy it in the first place. No more Lazboys.

Left a review here on January 2, 2015. La-Z-Boy responded to my message, said that "We would like to research your concern further so a representative from our department will be in touch to gather further information." but they did nothing. No phone call or further follow-up messages. In short, expect 3 months or 12 weeks to get your chair part replaced or repaired. We're currently at week 10 (see below). It's been 10 weeks since I requested repair/replacement of the chair.
Timeline:Week 1. Initial phone call - reported problem IN DETAIL, specifically the problem with memory foam.
Week 3. Technician visited and took pictures, ordered memory foam replacement. This took less than 1 MINUTE. No repair or replacement.
Week 6. Follow-up phone call - still waiting for the memory foam.
Week 7-8. NOTHING. Week 9. Received a voice mail after six weeks of the technician's initial visit saying that the memory foam has been back ordered.
Week 10. Memory foam delivered. Called La-Z-Boy and was told that the earliest technician can be available is 2 weeks later.
Week 11. NOTHING.
Week 12. Technician scheduled to visit.
Also, I asked for a possible time slot of the technician's visit but La-Z-Boy said they cannot let me know until the day before the visit. I now understand why they named themselves lazy boys. 1 star rating is too much for their service/product. Don't expect anything from La-Z-Boy's Service Department. Neither their service nor the product is worth the money.

We are without a Christmas gift. We are faced with paying 50% more and waiting 2+ months. No response from La-z-Boy corporate. Placed an order for a recliner on 11/28 to be delivered to my father-in-law for a Christmas gift. All information was given upfront for the delivery. On Saturday 12/27 they contacted us to say it would be delivered on Wednesday 12/31. They called back on 12/28 and said that they could not deliver to my father-in-law and would deliver to the store on 1/9 and refund our delivery charges. We called them on 12/30 and they said they couldn't deliver to the store close to my father-in-law. They said that they would refund our money on a Wednesday. They said they could not call the other store because they were a dealer and they were a corporate store. They are not allow to call other stores. They could not transfer this chair to the other store because it was in a different area. They said we would have to call the other store. I asked for the president's name and they gave me customer service's phone number. He did not want to give me that information. I emailed customer service with all details on 12/30 and they have not responded.
We called the other store 12/30. We were told we would have to start all over again. It would take 2+ months to get the chair since they were now behind. It would also cost us 50% more since it was not on sale any longer. Called the manager at the other store 1/1 (1st time he was working). Have been waiting for 2+ hours for a call back for help. What happened to service???

We moved to Myrtle Beach in August and in May of 2013 we bought the Maverick. I had back surgery and we had to take whatever they have electrical on the floor and that was in Cincinnati and that chair has been great. We had planned when we got here to get two Pinnacles. And so we got here. We hadn’t been here two weeks and a shaft in the back of the Maverick broke. So it was virtually useless. And we have been going through I don’t know what with Ultra Shield from the first of September to now and it’s still not repaired. I know they’re an outside source but it is a reflection on La-Z-Boy, I think. But overall, we love La-Z-Boy, obviously, or we wouldn’t have bought our Pinnacles. But we did have a problem getting those two. When we ordered them in September, it was going to be six to eight weeks for delivery. And about five weeks after that, we were told that the leather we chose then was out of stock until January. So we came in, chose new fabric, a totally different leather. And the bottom line is we just got our chairs two weeks ago. So it was a lengthy process. That was an issue. The leather that we chose was an upgrade with an additional cost, maybe a thousand dollars, and La-Z-Boy did eat that. We told them we’re not paying it.

I got a La-Z-Boy couch that was on sale - it was pretty fairly priced. I had a great time with the service representative, Wendy. She helped me out a lot. Everything worked well with the delivery. It was a really good experience and I'm happy with it.

On 10/18/2014 we purchased 2 designers choice La-z-boy classics kimberly recliners, which were delivered to us on 12/4/2014. Upon receiving the chairs, we found that they are too hard for us to recline. We called the dealer on 12/5/2014 and he stated that they were just stiff from being new and he would send someone to help with the problem by spraying the mechanisms with WD 40. However after more phone calls to dealer, still nothing has been done. We are both in our 70's, and are unable to use these chairs. I can recline to the first position on mine but my wife cannot recline in hers at all. We have not used these chairs at all since the first day. We have had LA-Z-boy recliners for the last 30 years and have had no problems until this purchase. We both set in the floor model at the dealership and didn't have no problem then. I have a 6-year-old recliner that after about 3 years of regular usage began to have problems. It would collapse from the reclined position a notch or two as the teeth and pawl were beginning to wear. I contacted the retailer, Slumberland Furniture. I was told not to bring it back to the store that they had a list of certified technicians, whose numbers they provided. I was never able to make contact and my calls were never returned. The problem continued to get worse until I spilled my coffee in my laptop when the chair collapsed. Once again, I went through the same wringer with the retailer. I finally got in contact with their customer service and was able to obtain a diagram and ordered parts. I repaired the chair myself! These chairs are not built to be repaired! Working on them is extremely difficult! I'm writing the review to complain about my wear and repair issues but that having been said, it's the most comfortable chair I've ever owned.

We bought new furniture from La-Z-Boy for a rental unit we have. The representatives at the gallery were great. They came out, measured for me, were very friendly, bright, and knowledgeable. Furniture is of very good quality, very comfortable. But I wish those policies / La-Z-Boy procedures would change, because you have to sign documents saying that you can only return it and exchange it for something in the store. One of the tables I ordered didn't match and the manager was grateful and let me exchange it... I happened to find out something that works good and happened to be at the same price but what if I didn't? They should at least give you a grace period of 7 days, once you get the items if you like it or something...

I've had La-Z-Boy for 20 years. I purchased a new one because the other one that I had for probably 25 years didn't work. I've always been satisfied with La-Z-boy that's why I keep going back. I love my chairs. This recent purchase was on sale so I got a good price on it. But I have yet to pick it up since they didn't have my material. They told me it'd take about 6 weeks. They're supposed to call me and I'm supposed to pick it up at the warehouse when they get it done. I'd recommend La-Z-Boy to anybody.

I purchased my La-Z-Boy Recliner on December 7th 2014 at the Farmingdale store on Route 110 NY. The recliner was delivered on 12/10. After sitting in this Chair for two weeks it does not feel as comfortable as the one in the store did. I called the store on Dec 26th at around 7PM and asked about returning or exchanging it. I was briefly put on hold and then told No Returns or exchanges. Later that night my wife and I went to Setauket NY store on Route 347 NY. We were looking at Tables for our living room. We found a set we liked on clearance but needed to speak to the manager regarding the cost.
While there we told him of our Buyers remorse. His name was ** and he offered to try and help at a meeting on Monday 12/29. We purchased the tables on 12/27 and picked out another chair and I awaited his call. Today at around 2:30 the call came through and the store associate ** told me the board voted down my return and I had to keep the chair. This kind of customer service in a store of this size is unacceptable. Now I am stuck with a chair that was nearly $1000.00. ** suggested I sell it on eBay or Craigslist. She meant well but not the answer I wanted. I would have been content with a restocking fee of 10 or 20%. They could sell the chair easier than me.. I guess La-Z-Boy has many customers and can afford to throw one away...

December 2013 we bought leather recliner sofa, two matching recliner chairs, as our Christmas present to each other from floor display at The Woodland, TX store. It had to be ordered with a delay because mfg. closed down during holiday, we were told, so we didn't get it until after. On delivery I thought they had sent the wrong order, had to go back to the store and verify it was the model we ordered but looked different. First one chair, motorized, had to be replaced twice due to not working correctly. Then the second chair had to have a new part, now we are having problem with sofa which stuffing has shifted. We bought the warranty and it is a good thing because we are getting attitude from customer service about every complaint including the run-a-round. Here we are one year later still dealing with furniture we paid a lot of money for from a company that we thought had a good product. Would I shop there again or recommend them? NO

My wife and I purchased a recliner yesterday at the Mishawaka, IN store. We were treated very well but the problem I have is with the $40.00 shipping fee just to get the recliner from Chicago to Mishawaka for me to pick up. It's absurd to me for a store to pass what should be the company's cost to its customers. If my wife wouldn't have been present it would have been a deal breaker for me. Next year when we look for more new furniture I will be inclined to buy from somewhere else unless they have the same policy. By the way, have spent thousands of dollars at this store through the years, either for the company my wife works for or personal use.

We purchased two Mackenzie sofas, when we received them they were as hard as a rock. We went back to the showroom to find the ones on display, have been there over a year, and well broken in. We picked two different sofas (which cost us $500 for the switch) which were suppose to be in on the 7th, on the 10th we called to be told it would be a few more days. On the 17th we called to see if they were in and were told delivery of one was set for the 18th and the other the 20th. We had made pre-arrangements to have them delivered at the same time. They were going to charge us $99 for cancelling a delivery we never set up. We finally got the sofas and one had a big hole in the bottom. They set up for someone to come repair it. If it has to be repaired it's no longer a new sofa. The store manager has never contacted us. The furniture is not comfortable at all, and when you put your elbow on the arm the stuffing separates and makes a very noticeable indent. Done with La-z boy. Bad experience all the way around. Never again!

I was really excited about my recliner purchase but was told I would have to wait 8 weeks for the special order I chose. That was fine. I had to pay a 50% deposit. That was fine too. It was a very large purchase for me and it gave me time to get together the remaining money, which I did. 11 weeks later I got word that my recliner was ready to be delivered. With excitement I watched as they brought the recliner into my home. When they placed it down on the floor and I had a chance to look at it, it was then that I realized I had been robbed for over $3000. The quality of the leather left a lot to be desired but what was most alarming was the way the chair was sewn. The leather on both arm rests was not sewn straight, it was twisted on one side and pleated on the other. Of course I refused delivery. I was in disbelief that an American-made product could be sent to the consumer in such a state. I waited 5 days for my sales person, Sue, to contact me. When that call didn't come, I called myself. I spoke with a manager at the store who indicated that Sue should have called the previous day but must have been too busy.
I was informed by the manager that their in-house repair team would take care of the issue but I would have to wait another 4-5 weeks. So upset and disappointed with the whole experience, I asked for my money back. I was told that since it was a special order, it was non-refundable. I didn't think that dealing with la-z-boy, I would have to be concerned with poor quality and shoddy workmanship and that la-z-boy would stand behind their product. Apparently not. It's all about the money, and now they have mine.

We were redoing our home and doing an upgrade so I bought two sofas, two chairs, ottoman, and two tables from La-Z Boy. I had a La-Z Boy before but it’s my first time to purchase from the actual La-Z Boy store. Dealing with their sales rep was awesome. So far the quality of the furniture is good. The cost is very reasonable for the quality. We’re still waiting on a recliner. We changed our mind after the furniture was delivered so the chair that we bought was an in stock so we ordered a custom recliner. I had a very positive experience. I told a lot of people about it. My designer that helped me was awesome. They are professional and attentive.

I have had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 15 years and recently purchased a loveseat. I had another piece that was not La-Z-Boy and it was not holding up and I felt I needed another piece. The young lady at the gallery was very nice, knew all the furniture, answered my questions, and rather than get all over it, she was just very relaxed so it was a pleasant experience. The quality of the furniture that I received is excellent and comparable with the cost. The delivery guys were great and very friendly. They were there first thing and had it done in a heartbeat.

I went to the La-Z-Boy store and tried out all different chairs. The salesman helped me find a chair that fit me perfectly. I ordered it and it came in seven weeks. When I got it home it didn't feel right but I thought I would sit in it for a while to see if I would wear into me. After a couple months the spring broke, they fix that, no problem but now the chair starts hurting worse and worse and gives me a backache when I sit in it. There is no lumbar support. I went back to the store and tried out the same chair that I sat in when I ordered mine and that one still fits perfect. They do not make the chairs the same way all the time, this is wrong. I paid a lot of money for this chair. They are coming to try to fix it again so I'll see how that goes. I should not have to go through this. They should have made it the right way the first time. It took long enough. They should have some kind of quality control. The store I bought it from just tells me to call customer service.

I placed an order through my local La-Z-Boy Store here in Lafayette, IN on 12/01/14 with 25% down to order. Unfortunately I was demoted at my job two days later (within the La-Z-Boy 3 day cancellation period). I called during the day of 12/04/14 to cancel the order since I was going to be unable to afford the furniture now. They called me back a few hours later to regretfully inform me they wouldn't be able to cancel the order because it was a special order and had already been placed and submitted. Their policy clearly states I may cancel within 3 days of the order (The Indiana state law says 3 days to cancel for any binding contract). I was told there was nothing they could do to cancel the order since it was a special order and the order had been placed. I then waited until I got off work to actually go into the store to figure out why they wouldn't cancel my order under policy & law. Assistant manager ** told me "Sorry, I'll have General Manager ** call you first thing in the morning."
I was told I would receive a call from the GM the next morning (which would be after the 3 days). I never got that call, of course an associate called me a few weeks later to tell me my order will be here fist week-middle of February. Needless to say I'm getting the order and can't afford it now. Poor customer service from management and they deliberately didn't follow policy by the store or by the law in the state of Indiana just to push over a customer and keep a sale.
I'm not sure what else to do other than to write this review for what it's worth. By this time a lawyer probably can't do anything and I'm beating a dead horse (which is how I felt on 12/04/14 when I went in the store after work) and I'm just going to have to suck it up to make ends meet. Any response or help with this matter is appreciated.

We went to the La-Z-Boy furniture store in Cary, NC on 12/21/14. A sales person asked us if we had any questions and we told him “Yes we liked a sofa.” He was very good in explaining about the sofa and pricing. We agreed on a price and so we told “Yes we would like to purchase it.” He started creating an invoice and we gave him our credit card to bill us. He called another co-worker to help him and after a while brought the invoice back to us with the total price higher by $200. We told him about it and he acted like he did not know how that happened but he said he will go back and correct it. Few minutes later, his co-worker comes to us and tell us that they cannot sell the sofa to us and they would refund the money to our credit card. Very humiliating experience and seems like they have lost the way on customer service. Did not expect this from La-Z-Boy.

In April of 1977, I met my husband of 40 yrs. When we found out I was pregnant after 3 mo. of marriage, he bought me a La-Z-Boy chair... that was in Nov. 1977. I rocked both my children in this chair and moved several times with it. In 1996, I had it recovered and the seat re-stuffed. We moved it to my son's first apt for years and when my daughter went to college, she took it with her - moving numerous times on her way to a doctorate degree. She is living in Dallas, TX now - working her first job.
The chair was the first thing that went into her new apt... still going strong after all these years. No mechanical problems and the recovered chair looks to be in perfect condition. It should last many more years. Who knows who will own it next? It was the first of many La-Z-Boy pieces. My daughter's chair is now 38 yrs old but you could never tell. You could place it among the other La-Z-Boys in a showroom and it would not look out of place. That is how good they are! No, I don't have a receipt... But we are about to purchase another chair in a few days... If you want that one, I can send it.

My 86 year old parents purchased a LazyBoy on September 28th from Brick, NJ. After about 2 weeks they realized that the noisy banging mechanism would wake them out of a dead sleep in the next room. Since then they have been trying to exchange it for an electric one. A representative came to the house and told them this is a unique mechanism and makes this noise. Recommended putting a rug under the chair. Refused to make any exchange. Lazy Boy basically told them go screw yourself. They had 3 days according to the contract to exchange or return. This is how they treat Senior Citizens. While they probably have no legal recourse because of the contract they signed I promise to stay on every possible website warning of this poor service.

After a devastating house fire, I proudly purchased a La-Z-Boy curved, recliner sofa, with electrical console. I was so excited to have it delivered from my local store. Within 6 months, I realized that the padding in the seats used most often were breaking down. I contacted the local furniture store and had them replaced. Once the warranty expired, I would be charged $200 for replacement of each cushion, and there were three!
My first issue is, why did the cushions break down so quickly and become so flat within just a few months? Is it this type of sofa versus something more stiff, like advertised on TV? Secondly, the sofa cost an exceptional amount, probably because I bought it locally rather than directly through the warehouse, but I cannot afford to keep having cushions replaced in order to prevent back pain because the cushions are so flat!
After just two years, I have now resorted to separating the sofa, using the pieces I can, and probably taking the other pieces to the dump as they are virtually unusable. I am so disappointed and I change the channel when I see beautiful Brooke Shields advertising for La-Z-Boy.

We purchased new recliner and swivel rocker from La-Z Boy. They were on sale. We were very pleased with our experience at that particular store. We had dealings with another store and we were not very happy and we never went back there. We decided to give them another chance, especially that it was on sale, and the gentleman who assisted us was very helpful and very accommodating. He did a very nice job of telling us about the products. So far we've been very pleased with furniture quality. We've had several other La-Z-Boys before, all swivel rockers.

I recently purchased a power recliner and lift chair. I also got Lancer Power XR. We got both of these on the same day but they delivered them on two different days. I needed to replace the old dark navy leather recliner I had because the handle keeps coming off and it’s starting to clunk. We replaced it with the Lancer Power XR. We bought the Clayton lift chair; it was the largest among the three offered.
The quality of the Clayton, however, could be redesigned. I bought it because it was the only one that would fit my dad. There are two important things that should be changed. First, the lift part of it works fine but when you go to recline it, you can’t recline the back until the legs have come all the way up. And for people with back problems like my dad and myself, it’s almost intolerable to go into that 90-degree L-angle with the back straight and the legs absolutely upright in front. I told my dad it’s going to hurt for just a minute but we’re going to keep pushing the button until the back will start to go back. Considering that a lot of people who have back problems are buying this, it would be so much better if they would redesign so that it would become more like the Lancer, where you can start to recline the back before the legs are totally up. That’s a major thing because that actually causes pain.
The second thing is the recliner again. My father has bad hands and it’s painful on the thumb. You have to hold down the knob on the remote. It would be much better if they had something like the Power XR remote. I don’t think it would be that hard for La-Z-Boy engineers to just basically make it operate like the Lancer. I’m sure other people must have mentioned that.
The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was absolutely excellent and very helpful. The delivery team during the delivery was excellent for both pieces. I particularly like the fact that I was home when they brought the Lancer, and they had a cover over the whole thing. I really liked that they took care of that because it was raining. I'm happy with the Power XR Lancer but not so thrilled with the chair.

The first week of August my sister took my mother to the La-Z-Boy at Southpark Meadows in Austin. Mom desperately needed a new recliner, and they decided to purchase an expensive motorized model, which they were told would arrive in October. That seemed like a long wait, but they decided it was worthwhile to get the right chair. October came and went, and no chair arrived. We called and were told the order would take just a bit longer. November came and again we were told, "just a bit longer." Now here we are in mid December. Each time we call we're told, "We just don't know why this hasn't come in, let us check. It will be here soon." My mother is 86, and she is confused by what has happened and is convinced that she has been ripped off. It's hard to argue with her on that point.

After about 15 months the furniture is starting to creek - when you sit in it, you can feel the wood in arms, very little padding. Lines appearing in the fabric, like you pulled the thread out. Only one year on warranty then it costs you money. The warranty purchased does not cover these problems. This stuff isn't even paid for yet. Would not recommend them to anyone. This will go on my Facebook page and any other place I can think of.

I am very disappointed with the product. It broke after exactly 2 years. I contacted La-z-boy and they are going to charge me for the repair, $100 per hour. Parts are under warranty. (Nut, bolt and a plastic gadget.) It looks that I have to bite the bullet with this deal. I filed a complaint with BBB and it was resolved in favor of the company. Like I said, I am very disappointed.

First, I want to say that I've owned a La-Z-Boy couch since 2001. My wife and I recently had to get a new couch to accommodate more seating in our new home. We sold the old couch (which I loved!) and bought a new one. Second, because we wanted a sectional, the show room in San Diego's Mission Valley store only had a couple you could see and sit in. Of course, neither one of them we liked and we ended up ordering without ever seeing or sitting in the sectional. BAD IDEA for anyone out there thinking of doing the same.
First problem: the corner seat is VERY different from the rest of the sectional. The cushion is much harder/firmer than the rest of the sectional and you can't turn it over. Second problem: the seat cushions have what I like to call a "wrinkly-paper" sound to it when you sit in them; we were told this would go away and it hasn't. Third problem: after about 6 months, the cushions are already starting to flatten out and losing their firmness, or whatever firmness they had in them to begin with. This is extremely frustrating since we paid a lot of money to get the "upgraded" cushions and now I think there's no upgrade to them at all.
So, a few months ago I called La-Z-Boy customer service and explained these problems to them and they sent a person out to see the couch. The person (who looked like he was in high school) said nothing was wrong with the cushions or the couch. There was nothing we could do. So, we're left with a couch I don't even sit in anymore because I'm so angry and disappointed with the product after spending over $3,000 for the sectional! Biggest waste of our money ever! I don't recommend La-Z-Boy anymore, just go to your local discount furniture store and get something there.

I was so excited to finally purchase La-Z-Boy recliners. After 3 months of use the chair looks old, shoddy and cheap. I spoke with the local service center and was told the pilling is normal and not covered under warranty and was directed to La-Z-Boy corporate. The response to my letter was a restatement of what I had written. I was expecting La-Z-Boy to actually stand behind their products and work with me to come up with a resolution where we would both be happy. I am highly disappointed that La-Z-Boy has said "too bad, so sad, go away" and have closed my ticket. I will now need to contact the BBB, American Express and my local TV station advocate to see if I can get help. :-(
DEC. 29, 2014 UPDATE: I did as suggested and used a sweater shaver/fabric comb ($3.95) to remove the pills. The material looks better, still saggy, but better. It would have been nice if the customer service rep who came out for the evaluation originally had one of those babies in his pocket. How much angst and time would that have saved, hmmm. Anyway, moving on...and "no" I will not be recommending La-Z-Boy and will not consider them for future purchases. Pity, since they are a US company. And just in case anyone read the earlier review and saw that La-Z-Boy was going to have a rep contact me to discuss. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Ya, sure, right. You are dreaming if you thought that actually happened.

I had a wonderful experience with La-Z-Boy so far. Everybody that comes in my new home just raves about how great it is. The salesman was a very nice young man and the decorator was a lovely young lady. They are very helpful and very good about getting back to me. I could not have been more pleased with the service, the carry through, and the gentleman that delivered the furniture. It took a little longer because it was custom made, but it got here sooner than they thought it was going to. At least I was in a La-Z-Boy recliner for a couple of months, which is now in the little den with the little chair and a half. I also got a mirror for the foyer. I certainly would recommend them and have done so.

Purchased 2 recliners costing close to $4,000, on 10/31/14, ticket # ** , custome order. It was explained to me that if the chairs that I purchased went on sale within a 30 day period, La-Z-Boy would gladly refund me the difference. On November 7 thru the 9th the chairs went on sale for 25% off any purchase between $3,000 - $3999.
I received 10% when I purchased the chairs, and felt I was due additional 15% off my purchase. Spoke with the store manager, ** , and was informed that I needed to be at the store during the sales event to receive the refund. I told him that I have airline tickets to prove that I was out of town, no matter, no refund. Question, what is the purpose of having a "30 day Lowest Price Guarantee" if you're not going to honor your commitment. It should not matter where I was during the sale, the product was offered to other customers at a lower price.
For the past 12 years I have lived in two different and very large age restricted communities. If I were La-z-Boy management, I would do the right thing, and adjust the sales price.

I love it the La-Z-Boy. It’s great. I don’t have any problems with it and it’s working fine. We just moved into a new house and had a space we were going to convert into a den and TV room. We needed something comfortable to sit on and I suggested La-Z-Boy. My wife doesn’t like it but I won out and we got a two-seater La-Z-Boy. Now she loves it and she’s happy with it. I've always wanted a La-Z-Boy because my son-in-law and brother-in-law have them. The sales representatives were very nice and helpful. My wife said the delivery team did a fantastic job too. They came in, set it up, and explained everything. They were neat and clean when they did things and they were on time. I’d always recommend it to a friend.

Salesman said just for sell, Manager said big hole on the table top is natural. Lexington SC store, once you signed the paper, paid money, you cannot do anything. Just wait even they sent trash to your house because non refund and non return.

We live on Sea Isle City. It’s a barrier island and we used to have the summer look. But now we moved down here full time and wanted to replace our furniture with more formal. The sales representatives at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries were wonderful. I dealt with four of them at different times because I kept going back. I was undecided about things, and they were lovely women including the manager. They talked to me about the options I had and they were very nice. They came out to my home too and showed me where they would place everything and what I needed to make my house look more formal and more guest-friendly. They designed it and I just love it. I’m so happy with everything. Everybody that came in here so far has liked everything and they all told me they’re going to go over at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and buy something.
The delivery guys delivered two lounge chairs first. They came in two pieces and they connected them for us. They showed my husband how they were made and how they could be disconnected if we decided to move. They waited until they uncovered the furniture to make sure I liked everything and it was the right furniture, and they were very nice young men. I’m just so happy with them because I really hate to buy things. At the other stores, they would come up and follow you around for a while. They didn’t do that at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. What I like about it too is the girls in the store, including the manager interacted very well together. You could see that they liked each other. That’s my experience with La-Z-Boy. And I’m going to go back again to pick out a rug that I want. I just like going in there.

The La-Z company had agreed to replace the backs of both chairs. We received the backs on Feb 10th and installed them in the chairs. They matched perfectly.

We purchased two top of the line Lazy Boy leather covered recliners. Now, two years later the leather at the tops of the chairs is worn and discolored. We bought insurance on the chairs from the Lazy Boy dealer, so my first call was to them, only to find they only cover accidental damage. Not wear. Next I called the local dealer I bought the chairs from, and they said the chairs are only guaranteed for one year, and suggested I call the manufacturer. I called Lazy Boy and they said they would talk with the dealer. After that I have heard nothing. We bought Lazy Boy expecting furniture that would look good for many years. We are very disappointed. My husband and I were looking to buy the Jace sofa. It was priced at 1299 and we were told that we would also get 25% off if I came back on Saturday to attend a meeting with the design lady. I went back on Saturday, barely met with the design lady, she only plotted a square box on computer screen and put a sofa in middle of floor. Then Evelyn, the saleslady, took me over to fabrics at which I wasted two hours. As my appointment went on I realized that the 25% was not going to happen. It was a sales trick. It reminded us of buying a car. So I left store went home to talk to my husband about situation and we both went back to store on Tuesday. Try to explain to the manager what happen and it was as if Tracy could of cared less. It basically didn't matter that Evelyn, our saleslady, misled us. There was nothing the manager Tracy was going to do for us. So nonetheless we left the store. This was a horrible experience with La-z Boy.

My experience with La-Z-Boy is wonderful. We’re very happy with it. I had a recliner years ago that lasted me for many years and recently purchased a sofa and love seat. Purchased a sectional recliner and recliner chair in Aug. 2014, was delivered on 09/25/14. Sat on the sofa for a couple of hours and it was wrinkled and left butt marks. It was not inspected. The fabric was loose and moving, a defective product. WARNING do not ACCEPT any furniture from La Z boy before you have had a chance to inspect it fully and really SIT ON IT. Of course the delivery guys are going to push you to hurry up. I repeat DO NOT ACCEPT. Otherwise you will be put in the same situation I'm in from day 2 making call after call to customer service on warranty work.
Customer service gives you a schedule date but no time. Their technician calls the day before your schedule date with a 3 hour window. If parts need to be ordered, the tech doesn't give you any paperwork... it's all in his head and he emails it to customer service. You have to keep calling to find out if they received the order. If it's wrong guess what, it starts all over. More than one part ordered, they are shipped separately through UPS. If you were fool enough to purchase Fabric protection, your new product won't have it on the material. But they are glad to tell you it still has the warranty. All this can take up to 5 weeks and then still be wrong because another technician is then given the repair order who then needs to order more parts before repairs can start. So if you still want to order something through La z boy, you'd better INSPECT your furniture. Because EVERYONE is quick to tell you it's yours now, YOU DEAL With it... So I'm angry and frustrated. Waiting now for 3 months and it looks like after today, I'll be waiting to late January 2015 just to receive parts.

I've had my La-Z-Boy furniture for about 30 years. There was nothing wrong with the stuff that I had. I just wanted a a change and purchased a sofa, chairs, an ottoman and other accessories from them. The sales representatives from the gallery were very nice. I like them all especially the designer. However, my husband and I feel like the quality is not what used to be. I'm actually concerned about if it's gonna stand the test of time. It's beautiful but there's absolutely no lumbar support - nothing to support your lower back. It actually drops down. The delivery team was actually excellent and we gave them a really big tip because they were very conscious and respectful of my home and in keeping the area clean. The customer service was fantastic but product is not. Right now, I don't think I would buy from La-Z-Boy again. I shopped around and the designer kind of persuaded me a little bit because I like what she was coming up with. But now that I have it, I wish I had looked a little bit more. It's all about the quality and I just don't think it's going to last.

I recently purchased a sofa and loveseat from La-Z-Boy. I moved in to a place and didn’t have furniture and my wife and I decide to get La-Z-Boy because my parents always have La-Z-Boy and we want something that lasts long. We were cleaning out and we decided to get some new pieces for the living room and purchased from La-Z-Boy. The saleswoman was lovely. She showed us an area to get started and let us browse around a bit. She was excellent, no pressure, but we had what we wanted in mind. We had looked online previously and she was just there to help us. She was very good. The delivery team was good. They called when they were about 15 minutes away from the house. We live on a second floor and sometimes delivering furniture up here isn't easy but because the chair came apart and then they put it back together, it worked out very nicely. They were in and out quickly.
The quality of the furniture is excellent. We're enjoying it very much. I would recommend them. It worked out very good and we were so happy to get it as quickly as we did. We decided on one that we didn't stock so we could have it quickly.

Bought sofa, love seat and recliner. (Love them) After 6 months the recliner broke. :( I called the customer service and talked to Sally. She informed me that the recliner was under full warranty and there would be no charge to get it repaired. Took the recliner to the service center and in a matter of minutes, my recliner was fixed. I purchased a sofa and two recliners from La-Z-Boy. Our sales rep Patty did a good job and the delivery went fine and arrived when they said it would. Only thing I'm upset about is the color of the sofa when it was delivered. My new sofa sits up too straight and there's not enough leg room in it. And it's gray but I thought it had more beige in it. More of a brown because recliners are brown, and then we got this sofa home and put the recliners next to it and it's definitely gray. But everything was fine when we went to the gallery.

We were so please with our first recliner sofa, keeping it for 8 years. So, we decided after we recently moved to buy another recliner sofa from this company and the very same showroom. We examined and tested the display model in the Myrtle Beach, SC showroom, and decided it would be perfect in the color we desired. Our sofa was ordered, and arrived about when we expected. Frankly, I am not even sure that we received the model we tested, as the quality, firmness, and solid feel are absent. The back cushions feel that they are almost devoid of padding. The recline mechanism is sometimes noisy and feels loose. The sofa feels nothing like the display model we tested. Since I signed off on the sofa when it was delivered, I accept responsibility for this cheaply made product and the lesson learned. If I had not paid over $1200 for it, I honestly would have already thrown it out at the street, as it operates and feels like a $200 sofa.

We’ve had La-Z-Boys for years. I’ve got five right now. Also, I recently purchased recliners from them. The sales representative at the gallery was fine and the delivery team was very good. They did some little thing for me I couldn’t have done myself as far as placing the furniture which they probably didn’t have to do but they did it, so I was very pleased. They were on time, too. We had two big, over-sized cushy crushed velvet kinds and the quality has stepped down a notch on the ones we just got. Also, it’s not the fabric that I would’ve picked but my wife picked it, and there’s some areas on the chair where the fabric is a little looser than I think it should be. Nevertheless, I’d recommend La-Z-Boy.

Just had the tech call me and tell me that my less than one year old leather chair that in one spot it looks like someone took sand paper to was not covered. Big surprise. They can’t tell me what’s wrong or how it happened. All they say is not covered. Less than one-year-old looks like hell. I could have spent a lot less on a different chair and got same results what pictures let me know. Also don't let this happen to you. No wonder they almost went out of business. Should not treat people like this.

My elderly mother was sold on Black Friday a power rocker at the SugarCane store in Tx. As she is disabled, upon delivery to her tiny apartment, it was obvious she was sold the wrong chair. Sales girl was rude and did not understand. She needed a lift chair and never should have been sold a rocker. Store mgr is off today. We need help to return or correct now but getting none. Whatever happened to 'know your customer'?

I've been a La-Z-Boy customer for years and really like my Reclina Rocker, powered recliner sofa, and beautiful coffee table. However, now that moving parts and/or motors are failing, I am trying to use the "lifetime warranty" and am getting absolutely nowhere with the San Jose service center. They keep charging me fees, breaking appointments, and never fixing anything. They make it sound like they have only a single person who can do warranty service, and if he gets sick, it is at least 1 or 2 more weeks before they can schedule another appointment. As a result, my recliner has a bulging spring since September and they've just cancelled another appointment because their tech is going out of town. So now I'm offered another appointment 2 weeks from today!

I wanted a recliner that’s why I bought a power recliner from La-Z-Boy. I’ve got an issue with the chair that they’re trying to rectify. Seems like it’s got a heating element in the cushion in the seat and you can feel it when you sit on it. It’s uncomfortable. They sent a service tech out and he said it couldn’t be repaired. They’d have to replace the cushion so they have one on order. And I was just wondering why I couldn’t just return it rather than wait five or six weeks for a new cushion, but they wouldn’t allow me to do that.

My husband and I purchased a Lazy Boy power recliner and loveseat in August 2014. We shopped at Lazy Boy based on the recommendation of a friend who had recently purchased her second set of family room furniture. She spoke very highly of the quality of your furniture and how long her first set had lasted. We spoke at length to the salesperson about my concerns about the fabrics holding up as we have 3 dogs who like to sit on the furniture. I was told that my fabric choice would be durable enough for pets. I also purchased the warranty.
On October 30th I noticed a rip in the upper back of the middle section of the sofa near a seam. This is an area that has not had any wear at all! I called the Lazy Boy service department and was told that a rep would come out to assess the hole. When he came to look at the sofa he told me that Lazy Boy would never consider the hole as a defect and it was damage. I don't understand how damage occurred to an area where no one or nothing has ever sat. I was never told to call the warranty company about the hole. I now understand that I had just a few days to contact them but the service department could have asked if I had the protection and informed me of how to proceed.
I called the salesperson on to speak with her about the situation as I am very unhappy with my purchase at this point and she told me that there was no way the fabric would have torn but said that she would have the manager call me when he had the opportunity. When he called he told me that there was nothing he would do for me as the hole in the sofa after 3 months is the same thing as having a scratch on a new car. I was told that the furniture and fabric would be very durable and would last for several years; it did not even last 3 months. It is inherent that a new car is subjected to much more wear than a sofa back!
I now have a sofa that has a hole in an used section. I have no confidence that the furniture will tolerate any use at all. The last furniture we purchased was very inexpensive but it lasted for over 10 years and survived dozens of teenagers and many dogs. It did develop holes but in the seat cushions where there was actually wear and tear. I spent $3600 dollars, have no confidence that the furniture will withstand the wear and tear of 2 empty nesters.

We were initially told that our purchases would be delivered on November 30th but the new delivery date is December 17th. We had a family event planned on December 6th and the reclining sofa/love seats were more than just aesthetics as a number of guests were from out-of-town. Since then, we were back into the Burlington, Ontario store to convey our disappointment to our salesperson Don ** . He was very understanding and while he did not say so, I know that something outside his control forced the delay. I'm confident it was not his mistake because I recall him going onto the store PC.
He conveyed that although it would normally take longer, there was a set that was to be available for November 30th. I'm not sure where that set ended up???
As such, during our meeting, Don did everything he could to accommodate us which included scrubbing the delivery charge. I know the service industry VERY well and must say that Don is a valuable asset to La-Z-Boy. As disappointed as we were from the initial late delivery, we realize that in the real world "stuff" happens. That said, Don's efforts to minimize the impact is commendable.

We enjoyed our experience in the store and purchased a top of the line set of power reclining sofa and love seat. The promised delivery was November 30/14. Subsequently, we plan on hosting an event in our home on Dec. 6/14. The last communique (Dec.2/14) indicates that one piece "should" be here on the morning of Dec. 6; however, the second piece "should" be available one week after that. We are very disappointed both in the lack of commitment to the affirmed delivery date AND with the casual response to our situation. It gives me the impression that not meeting the committed delivery date is more the norm than the exception. How disappointing for our first experience with this brand.

10/30/14, my husband and I purchased furniture for the total of $8169.14. We applied for credit, was approved for the total sale, signed the papers, and ended our transaction being told delivery would be 4-6 weeks and they would contact when ready. Almost 5 weeks out, 12/2/14, we randomly checked the status of delivery and was told the order had never been processed, because "WE" never put 25% down to start the process of "building the furniture". Today, they told us we would need to shell out over $1600 to have our order from 10/30 processed, AND it would be an additional 1-2 weeks.
Upon further discussion, their final compromise was we would "charge $500 to process the order", then they would "credit that $500, and apply it back on our approved credit". AND...they would also send us to an expensive steak house. No, no, and just NO! First...we should have been told upfront about the 25% down. Second...5 weeks, not one phone call stating there was a hold up. Third...La-z-boy dropped the ball. This was their screw-up, and I wasn't going to accept different. Conclusion: I cancelled my $8169.14 order due to their corporate customer service. I basically cancelled this order over $500 dollars...but hey, we would have gotten a $100 steak dinner for accepting their wrong. La-z-boy lost a sale, and lifetime customer...

Sometimes the La-Z-Boy will pull out okay, and then sometimes it takes an effort to get it out. It might need adjusting but sometimes we have a problem. Also, my last La-Z-Boy came with head covers and arm covers, and this one did not. I had to order them. That was my big gripe right there. You pay enough for these that they should put them on. I went out and got some towels to put on there. 'Course they said they could make them. Well we got our sofa and we haven't gotten our loveseat yet. That should come around Christmas time. We ordered two pieces last time and then we ordered two pieces this time. You would have thought that the covers would have come with the sofas and the loveseat but it didn't. They would have cost $25 a piece. That'd be $225.

My husband and I went with my uncle and grandma to buy my uncle a chair. We went about three weeks ago and my uncle found a chair he liked for $1100. We decided to wait and came back on Black Friday. The price of the chair was bumped up to $1450 and marked down to $1200 as a "Black Friday Sale." This was $100 more than three weeks ago! The sales person gave us attitude when we asked about it, so we asked to speak to the manager. The manager was rude, defensive and make up excuses rather than addressing our concern and being understanding. We decided to take our business across the street to MJM Furniture and got a comparable chair with the exact same features for literally half the price plus 25% off for Black Friday. Our family will not be using your company.
We hope that in the future you give La-Z-Boy a second chance.

I placed an order for a chair on 11-22-2014. I asked the sales guy if it was going on sale for Black Friday. I was assured that it was not going to be on sale. I found out this weekend that it went on sale for 25% off. I went to the store today to ask if it was possible to get it at the sales price. The manager wasn't there (really at 1:20 pm?) and I spoke to a lady that just shrugged her shoulders at me when I told her I missed the sale. That's what pisses me off the most. I was treated like she didn't care. Then she started talking but never said anything of any value. I still don't know what her point was. Words were coming out, but they didn't make sense. I'm really disappointed in a store that I thought was people oriented.

I bought a reclining Jace couch in November of 2013 and I believe this couch is defective because the metal plates on the bottom had to be replaced because it had corrosion metal on them. After this was replaced, the cushion of the couch now is very uncomfortable and has prickle feel. I believe that this couch was damaged or left outside prior to when I purchased it at the warehouse. The couch is very uncomfortable and we need to have it replaced. We have only had it for 13 months, I need to speak to La-Z-Boy corp about this; This couch should last at least for 5-7 years not 1.

We paid $2,190 for a leather reclining sofa and chair 12/30/2011. About a year ago, we started to notice that the "leather" surface was peeling off the back of the sofa. It is peeling as if it were a vinyl, which it probably is. What we thought was real leather was either very low quality or a synthetic material. I called them a year ago when this started, and they said it was out of warranty, but I could purchase a new entire back of the reclining part of the sofa for $500.00. They said I should have purchased their extended warranty. I should not need a warranty for an item which just falls about. I could see maybe a warranty for something I caused by accident, but this was just failure of quality.
We had been putting throw covers on it for the past year. Now under the throw covers, the peeling leather has spread so badly it is falling all over the floor. I'll have to go shopping for a new sofa soon. My last leather sofa which was not a lazy boy lasted 15 years. The cushions were shot, but the leather was perfect. The quality of their products is obviously lacking. I'm not going to pay $2,000.00 every other year for furniture. Unless they can remedy the defective sofa, you can be sure I'll never recommend or purchase anything from them again.

My mother got a couch and a recliner from the Lexington, SC store. It was delivered on time with no problems. Then when we got a good look at the furniture, the arm of the couch was sewed wrong and did not have the proper stuffing. She chose to get an electric recliner in the couch because of her age. Less than 3 weeks later and the recliner is broken. The reclining chair release slams down and it has hurt her arm to the point she can no longer use the chair. When contacted the sales person whose name is Kaye, she informed my mother she had 7 days to make a complaint. She is waiting on a repairman to see if anything can be fixed. I would recommend no one buys anything from them. This couch and chair will be lucky to be used for 6 months.

We bought a recliner approx. 10 months ago and the padding started to break down at about 4 months ago, we have calling and calling La-Z-Boy and comfort care but all we get is the run around. They make a appointment and then break it or change it. Or they say that they are sending replacement padding and we have not ever received it yet... I have read so many complaints on facebook and else were, I think there should be some kind of class action lawsuit to maybe take care of the customers out there that being taken advantage of by La-Z-Boy.

Our last purchase from La-Z-Boy has been about 15 years. We've had the same La-Z-Boy couch for about 15 years and replaced it. The representative at the gallery was very friendly and very helpful, and when I would go back and check on things, I was very pleased with all the response I would get. The quality of the furniture is excellent. I didn't even think about going any place else because of the La-Z-Boy furniture I've already had in the past, stood up very good and everything, and I just went right to La-Z-Boy store when I was ready to purchase.

I bought a recliner 1.5 yrs ago for $399 and a couple weeks ago I stopped in the store thinking to buy the same chair so I would have a pair....the model is over 2 yrs old and the price had gone up $100 to $499...the big thanksgiving sale price was $10 dollars off to $489...big deal. I called another La-Z-Boy store and the exact same chair was $749...very disappointed in La-Z-Boy. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable though. I had all the correct codes and numbers off the invoice of the chair that I had bought originally so there were no mistakes made that way.

After 8 years of minimal use, the fabric on my chair is so pilled and worn, it looks like it has lived thru a dozen children for twenty years! We have only started to use this chair on a regular basis this past spring because we have used the family room for the most part. Only two people live in this house. It is totally unacceptable that the company will do nothing for me after spending over $600 on this chair. The only comment I received is that the fabric is only under warranty for one year and "some fabrics don't wear very well". Then why do you sell that fabric!! I will never buy Lazy Boy again nor will I ever recommend Lazy Boy to anyone. Very, very poor!

Our complaint with La-Z-Boy has nothing to do with the product. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. What we are not happy with is La-Z-Boy's customer service policies and attitudes. Here is what transpired:
On November 21, 2014 we visited our local La-Z-Boy Gallery store in Lexington, SC and purchased a Maverick recliner. We declined the $99 delivery charge since the recliner would easily fit into the back of our car. There was not a new recliner in stock in the store, so one would have to be shipped to the store for pick-up. Early on November 24, we received a call from the La-Z-Boy distribution warehouse in Richburg, SC informing that they had the recliner in stock and asking when we would be picking it up there. We informed them that we would be picking it up from our local store, not their warehouse. The customer service person informed us that it was a $99 charge to ship it to the store. This was new to us and we believed it was just a mistake. The warehouse agreed to call our salesperson and try to get it cleared up. We did not receive a call back that day.
On November 25 midday, my wife received a call from the salesperson. The salesperson admitted that it was her mistake that she did not realize that this particular recliner was not free delivery to the store. Apparently the policy is that if it's a recliner lined up with the rows and rows of recliners, it's free delivery to the store, but it if it's in a "vignette" (i.e. staged with other furniture), then it's not free delivery. My wife expressed her dismay at the policy and asked what could be done. The salesperson said that it was company policy, but that the president (or VP) of the company would be in the store that night and she would ask if they would waive the policy in our case and that she would call us back.
On November 26, we waited for a call. When none came by 4pm, we called the store back. The salesperson was tied up. She did not call back that day. On November 28, we called the store again and left another message as she was again tied up. We have not yet received a call back. At this point, we believed that the store did not intend to help us. I was off work (day after Thanksgiving), so we decided to call the warehouse and make the 2 hour round trip drive to pick up the chair. I have to say that the warehouse personnel could not have been nicer.
The La-Z-Boy policy says that they will not help with loading the furniture, but they indeed did help us get the chair in the car. We chose to pick up the chair that day because the policy reads "It's the buyer's responsibility to provide... personnel to load merchandise" and thought that my wife could not handle loading it on her own. Had we known that the warehouse would help us, my wife could have picked it up by herself a different day and pushed the matter further with the store beforehand. However, having received no help from the store, we had no reason to believe that the warehouse would vary one inch from the policies, either.
In terms of fact, we can say that the training of our sales person was inadequate as she was not aware of the "vignette setting" policy. We can also state factually that we did not receive prompt calls back when seeking help from the store. As for our opinions regarding La-Z-Boy, we believe that they are so confident that they are the "only game in town" that they do not even feign to offer good customer service. The $99 home delivery charge is too high. The policy to not deliver certain pieces to the store for pick up and charge the same as they would for home delivery is unfathomable.
Beyond the policies is the "feeling" of how we were treated. Could we have "fought" with the store longer and gotten the chair delivered there at no charge? Probably. But that's not the point. We should not have to even fight that battle. One of the absolute truisms in customer service is that it's not that you make a mistake that's important, it's how you handle it. An admitted mistake was made, but no immediate remedy was offered.

The furniture came broken. They sent somebody out to fix it and he could not fix it. He has supposedly ordered parts to repair it but we have not heard back. It's been almost two weeks since he's been out here. We haven't been able to use it yet and we've had it about a month.

The store is really nice (we don’t live that far away from it) and I love the showcase. I love the way that store is put together. I'm an artist by nature and I just love it. It's also very welcoming and the staff is there for you; they'll welcome you but they'll leave you alone. They walk around, give some ideas but they don't pressure you. They give you some time to walk around, get some thoughts of your own too, and I do appreciate that. When it's all said and done, they can't be more helpful putting you into the furniture that you want, within a price range that you can afford. Somebody needs to know what a nice staff they are up there and the furniture is quality furniture. This might be our last set because the thing is gonna last a long time. It’s really nice.

Our order was $16,320; delivery date Sept 17/14. The table that we ordered was missing an ottoman because a caster was broken. The delivery gentleman told us that we would receive it either that day or the following day. After 2 days, I had to email Kamal and then Fatema called me with an appointment for the technician to bring the ottoman with him on his Oct 3 appointment. The downstairs area rug that we ordered has still not arrived. I have followed up via email Sept 18 with Kamal. He indicated that it would arrive Sept 30 and he would bring it. I emailed Kamal again on Sept 30 and he told me it would arrive Oct 4 then he would bring it a few days later. I called Fatema today Oct 15 and it still hasn't arrived.
We had a felt pad stuck to our carpet which the technician carefully removed. I expressed concern about the amount that the carpet is shedding and he said that I should contact Kamal to check with the manufacturer. It hasn't stopped shedding and has to be continuously vacuumed. The technician on Oct 3 told us that our fireplace unit was broken and he would have La-Z-Boy contact us to solve the issue. I never heard back. I called Fatema today (Oct 16) and she said that she tried to call me several times on my 416 cell number. I do not have a voice mail on it but I do have call display. She DID NOT call several times. I have a home phone number with an answering machine that she chose not to use.
Resolution: Shirley ** eventually solved our issues with a different rug because the other one was still not available and got us a new fireplace insert delivered Oct 28/14. She said, "I look forward to resolving this matter and once you have given me the go ahead we will discuss compensation." I followed up with Shirley via email twice on Nov 10 & 22 regarding compensation and have never heard back.

I recently purchased a sectional chair and accessories from La-Z-Boy. We bought them because we were just changing the look of things. This wasn’t my first time purchasing from them. I had La-Z-Boy furniture for 4 years. We love the quality of the furniture. We also think the cost in relation to it is great. It's one of the reasons we continue to buy from them. Everything was good with the representative I've worked with. I had been working with an outside designer because my house has a completely open-floor concept so you can see everything the second you walk in. I was trying to work with her so she could coordinate all the rooms. La-Z-Boy was really nice about the fact that we even have someone come from the outside because I know they do it in-house but it was just because it was like a whole collaborative thing. It was very nice that they were so welcoming and would work with us so easily. Also, the delivery team was great. Overall, the experience has been Easy and great.

We contacted customer service because after owning the Love Seat with console for a few weeks to really get a feel for how it sits we both found it was not comfortable and we are not happy with it. We spent over $4000 total on our order and find it very hard to believe that just sitting in a love seat for 5 minutes and ordering it, waiting 6 weeks for delivery and only have 48 hours to determine if it is life long worthy of being comfortable and keeping.
If a customer spends that kind of money for furniture it should have a comfort guarantee. A person really doesn't know how comfortable something is until they have the opportunity to sit in it for a few weeks at least. I think because of my work schedule I was only home first 48 hours a total of 4 hours and probably only sat in it a total of 3 hours, so how am I supposed to know if it is comfortable in that short amount of time? Just another way for businesses to force their product down your throat, force you into buying something that you have a false sense of satisfaction and then stick you with it instead of honoring their product, name and reputation. Don't ever buy from La-Z-Boy. They don't stand behind their product.

I took advantage of the "free" consultation. The designer was somewhat helpful, but apparently didn't listen to the "wants" of the customer (me). The husband and I went into the store thinking of purchasing a sectional, rocker recliner, and ottomans. Such a large purchase is a big decision. We brought with us a friend who happens to do interior design. although the LZB designer had some good ideas, a room makeover should evolve as ideas are considered. LZB Designer seemed miffed that we brought someone to help with that process and basically shut down shortly after her presentation and walked off. After many hours going through the store and talking over features and fabrics we settled on two Leo ottomans and a Greyson recliner in leather. No sectional at this time, but still nearly $3,000 spent. We love the ottomans, but...
We ALWAYS stated rocker-recliner... the rocking feature is very important to my husband. While placing the order, LZB Designer seemed totally disinterested and mad that we didn't buy her whole design. More importantly, she didn't know the product. She asked if we wanted the reclinaway feature, implying that it was an added feature... that the recliner would rock and reclinaway. Well that is not the case. it is either/or, not both.
Upon delivery of the recliner we noted that it did not rock. We have been trying to resolve this with the store since Day 1 without success. LZB Designer again showed her lack of knowledge of the product (and lack of service) by asking me to call Comfort Care to see if the base could get switched out to make it a rocker. First, she should have checked on that herself. Second, the base cannot be switched out and she should have known that. Now the store is telling me I have to pay a 30% restock fee for something that was lack of service on an employee's part. We love the recliner, except that it does not rock. I am a repeat LZB customer over the past 25 years. We still want the recliner. We just want it to rock. Why should I have to pay a 30% restock fee? I expect better service from LZB.

Our furniture was getting old and we decided to purchase new ones. It was my first time getting a La-Z-Boy. The quality is very nice and it's very comfortable. It was okay priced with everybody else. Scheduling the delivery of my furniture went very good and it worked out really well. In fact, they held it for me even longer because I wasn't quite ready for I was having new flooring put in. I was just happy that I ordered another chair and a couch from them. Overall, they're very helpful and friendly. I'd go back there.

Not impressed at all. Who knew you could not lay on your furniture without the cushions sagging. I have had other leather furniture that I was able to lay and had no issues. 3 years old love seat is crap, cannot sit on it properly anymore, sink into the middle every time it is sat on, and not cheap to fix.

We have purchased our custom order leather recliner chair and recliner sofa in the beginning of August 2014. 6 weeks later, the chair came with a cut on the right arm. They tried to cover it with a marker. After declining it, they fixed (glued!), so we didn't accept it. The customer service told us they would replace the right arm. However, the chair isn't fixed because they cannot make the matching color for the right arm. They had to reorder for the right arm. The recliner sofa (consist 3 recliners) had also multiple issues. Middle and right recliner upholstery (back) have wrinkles, the sawing is not correct. The middle seat stitching is defective also. The technician came and tried to fix it and couldn't. So he ordered all new parts for the defective parts. Finally we received all of the items, and the technician was only able to fix the mechanism.
My living room was like a workshop. The rest of upholstery parts do not have correct, matching color-dye. So, he couldn't replace the defective parts. When he was examining the recliners, he also noticed that there was a manufacturer defect in the mechanism (bend part) in the middle recliner. Almost 4 months, full paid, we still don't have our order complete. La-z-boy do not have top quality furniture. Their production and quality control department are a big fail. The sale department and customer service are nice, and they tell you what the customer wants to hear. So many times, we were told "La-z-boy" will make it right, they will fix. The only fix is at the point, returning the items and getting my money back. If you are planing to buy a furniture, avoid LA-Z-BOY... It is not worth it...

We bought two La-Z-Boy recliners from a company just outside of Peterborough Ontario in April. They were over two thousand dollars for the pair. After one week they started peeling on the arms and other places on the chairs. We also got two matching pillows that didn't match. After our long battle with the company to fix the problems with the chairs and pillows and the owner texting me at two in the morning while trying to make this problem right. The stress and experience was awful!! November - we finally got chairs - problem still there, losing battle even dealing with the company and La-Z-Boy Canada.

I wanted something different so I purchased furniture from La-Z-Boy. The salesman at the La-Z-Boy gallery was good. They stand beside their product. I found something and they came right out and sent somebody and they're fixing it. The service people were good; they do what they had to do and attended to the people. The quality of the couch itself is fine but I really am not satisfied with the light corduroy because I just bought it and it looks dirty already. I'll be happy when they come fix the color. Also we bought a leather chair that costs $4000 and they saw the big staple where you could put a hole in the leather and they're fixing that.

The cushions sag really bad. If you sit a couple hours a night, within one week you will have moved the cushion around and will have created a rather large lump of cushion on the opposite side. I continuously turn the cushion around. If you don't turn it, you will be sitting on a very flat uncomfortable cushion. When you turn it, the lump that has gathered in the back will now be in the front, making the cushion somewhat bearable. This is our third set of cushions and we have given up, it's just the way La-Z-Boy cushions are made. We paid for upgraded cushions on the third round but found they did the same thing eventually. We bought the urban attitudes collection.
