    I recently purchased a sectional and recliner from La-Z-Boy. I went back and forth for a couple of different options and the lady who assisted us was great. Her name was Brittany and I think she's a sales manager there. She was really polite, friendly, helpful, patient, and she wasn't pushy.

    The delivery people were also great. They moved our old furniture and they did a good job with setting things up. But it was kind of a letdown when one of the springs became loose within 20 minutes of my husband sitting in it. Aside from that the automatic recliner also had some issues. It was a little disappointing that it all happened that day when we got it. But in a week it was fixed. We called to have somebody out to fix it and a guy came out within a week and fixed everything.

    We love our new recliner. We have a new baby so that's why we got it. It's in his room right now. When he grows up, we're going to bring it out with the sectional -- it matches that. It is wonderful and so comfortable. It rocks and it just feels like it's hugging you. It's really great. We think it's pretty well made. We really admire that it's made in America. That was a big selling point for us. There's not a lot of companies out there anymore that do that.

    I've bought La-Z-Boy before. My fiancée and I were buying a house and getting married. At first, we thought the sales representative was amazing because of everything she was talking about doing for us. But as we went through the whole process, we found out that it felt more like they were just trying to get a sale than actually doing everything they promised to do. We bought a sectional and a grandfather clock. The grandfather clock came from another company - Howard Miller. They told us that the sectional was actually an in-house item. They'd get it out to us as soon as possible and it wouldn't be a problem. They said the clock was out at Greensboro and they'd build them. They called us a couple of days later and said they were going to ship out the sofa in a week. They told me what day it was and I was going to be off.

    Then I said, "What about the clock? They were supposed to come about the same time." They said, "The clock may take a little bit longer but we're definitely going to get the sofa out to you." So I was like, "Okay, fine. No big deal. We'll wait." The next week, I hadn't heard from them so I called them up. They said, "It's not going to be out now until the next Thursday" because they changed their shipments from Tuesdays to Thursdays at that point. It ended being two weeks later on Thursday when we finally got it. So it was like 4 extra weeks we waited after we moved in our house to get our sofa. We still hadn't heard anything about the clock so I called them up to find out what was going on. They said, "The clock is being shipped to us now and once we get it in here, we'll have it shipped to you." I'm like "Why is it coming to you? I thought you all told us it was coming straight out Greensboro to us." "Oh no, we never said that to you."

    I called them up to find out what day I needed to be home and it turns out, "Oh no. See, it has to go all the way to Maryland. Once it gets to Maryland and gets on that shipment, then it will come back down to you all. So it's probably going to be another week and you're going to get it." It just seems like every time they told us they were going to do something, we get stretched out another week or two. We called and complained to the manager of that store. He pretty much called me a liar on the phone and was about as rude as he could possibly be with me. I told him, I said "I'm going to tell you right now. If I had to deal with you for me to buy a La-Z-Boy or Howard Miller anything, I wouldn't buy it. Then here I was, I was paying $8000 to your store and this is the way you're going to talk to me."

    It's a great sectional. But on the chaise itself, the stitching is already starting to come loose. It is just the way we were treated as far as service and sales, not the quality of the furniture - a lot more stressful than it should have been.

    Was told my sectional would take 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. I received it in 6 weeks (middle Nov). The delivery team also assembled the 4-piece sectional and one day later my first impression is great. I take the time to write the review because it was very important for me to have the option to read other consumer opinions. My concerns before receiving were; will it be the good quality as in the floor model. I chose my color from a small swatch and was worried it may be too dark of a brown and not that quality high performance feel to it. Would the seats be comfy with a quality feel to the cushions?

    Good news on all counts. Wow...feels like quality, solidly built, seams well sewn, all four pieces match well with the material running the proper way on all seats. The oversized seat cushions are awesome, no regrets there even though I am only 5'1" and not overweight (hubby 5'11", medium frame too). Color chosen is better than expected and the cobblestone uni-colored pattern on the sable brown is a plus ensuring the MicroSuede does not have a solid velvety look. The motorized recliners work beautifully, and the armless middle seat has a handle release which works fine and closes easily even though not motorized.

    Surprisingly, one of the most comfortable spots is the corner piece which hugs the back so well. If I were to have a critique it would be that I wish the height of the seat-backs, when not reclined, were a little higher for my tall husband. It's fine for me. Some people complained that they could not keep the legs straight out (reclined) with a straight back (an L-shape) because to have a straight back, the legs were forced to be lower. The secret here is to recline all the way to its maximum, now bring it forward slowly. The back straightens first, thereby leaving the leg section still straight before lowering. You just have to find the sweet spot.

    The only other disappointment is how much I paid for the two arm pieces and 2 headrests. I paid WAY more here in Canada than what they charge in the states (checked online after the fact) for these 4 simple 16"x16" pieces which are a bit too small as a headrest. Doesn't seem fair to pay $120 for the four. Ouch. I do recommend La-Z-Boy. I'm overall impressed. The close up picture (image 2) shows the cobblestone finish and is truer to the color than the other picture due to lighting.

    I was redoing my den and had a designer who knew apparently that La-Z-Boy had furniture so we went to the local La-Z-Boy. I was very surprised because I didn't know La-Z-Boy had such nice furniture. We saw what we liked.

    The sales representative who assisted us was wonderful. She has been here three times. She came when we were measuring, she came when they were delivering, and she came again when we had a problem getting the one sofa, which was not her fault. It's just the sofa would not fit into the hallway. It had nothing to do with the furniture. They just couldn't make them bend the way my house is. It's an older house and they didn't have the clearance.

    The one I had picked out could not be taken apart. It had to be one piece because the beam that ran along the bottom was solid and they couldn't break it apart. She corrected that by getting a sofa that can come in. And on top of that she arranged for me to get a loaner because it's going to take two months to get the sofa, the size, and the color that I wanted. It's one of the best dealings that I've had with a company. Professional and perfect in every way.

    I was very happy with the furniture. It's priced correctly. And I'm glad that it was one-stop shopping. Actually picking out the fabric and the wood tones that I wanted or the wood colors that I wanted was fine.

    The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Good luck if anything goes wrong with your furniture. You will get the runaround, will not be called back, and will deal with rude customer service agents. I will be spending my hard earned money elsewhere. They just don't care if you are happy or not.

    Bought a sectional sofa from La-Z-Boy about a year ago under false pretenses and warranty lies. The sofa did not hold up to minimal usage and now that we are having issues with the sofa the warranty suddenly does not exist for the problems we are having and there is apparently nothing customer service can do to help. We spent a lot of money on this sofa and got all the bells and whistles and now are stuck with the most expensive piece of garbage product money can buy. Disgraceful to market as a company "made in USA" and sell products with "lifetime guarantees" that actually carry no guarantee or warranty depending on what goes wrong with the sofa. We spent extra money on an American made product based on the lies we were told on the sales floor. Avoid at all cost! I'm convinced we would have gotten a better product Ashley or Rooms-to-Go. Very dissatisfied with quality and customer service!

    We had our furniture for probably five or six years and it wasn't old but we were ready for something new so we purchased a sofa and two chairs from La-Z-Boy. Our sales rep was okay, she certainly knew what she was talking about or we assumed she knew what she was talking about. But she wasn't the one that sold us on the furniture. I guess we really were under the impression that La-Z-Boy furniture was good furniture... Well, for $5,000, we don't feel that we got quality furniture. We're not happy with it. We've had nothing but problems. We've had to have somebody come to the house to do some fixing and he couldn't do all of the fixing and had to order parts. And part of the parts have come and he fixed one of the chairs and it still isn't proper.

    I recently purchased a sofa, loveseat, recliner and tables from La-Z-Boy. I had some furniture that was worn out so we got something new. Sales representatives were very helpful. I had two girls that came. We’re only supposed to have one, but the other girl wanted to come because I was looking for something different and they did a great job. Only time will tell about its quality, but as of right now, it’s great. The cost was good. I checked out some other places, everybody was somewhat comparable, but they had what I was looking for. The scheduling of the delivery and the delivery itself was fine. They are helpful. It’s affordable and comfortable.

    Bought 02-06-2011... Kinley Recline Chair - Stock # 410405 C968522 FN 000 P1 H971624 $899. My husband, who is disabled, went to recline all the way back and the mechanism on the bottom right side broke or fell off track and now the chair is lopsided and leaning on the right side. I have to now put a bed pillow behind him to support him. For a chair that I spent this much money for my husband who needed a good sturdy wide chair to sit and recline and only lasted not even 3 years is very disappointing and being on a limited income now, we can't afford another chair.

    All of our furniture is La-Z-Boy and we've had them for more than 10 years. We bought another cottage so we put our old La-Z-Boy in there and needed new furniture at our regular home. The La-Z-boy sales representative was great and answered all our questions. We had first stopped in Florida and picked out what we wanted so she just helped us with setting up the sale. We had a repairman out because we're not happy with our recliner. It's different than all the other recliners. The foot part doesn't come up like the other ones and the back does not adjust and it's very uncomfortable. The delivery people that brought it in were very nice. We're happy with the product, except that we're disappointed in the rocker-recliner.

    My mother needed a new recliner, something small, for her bedroom and went to La-Z-Boy because they seemed to have the most selection of recliners. The lady at the store was very pleasant. She printed out information for us because we didn't buy it right then during our first visit. When we came back to purchase the recliner, she was there and she was happy to see us. So anyway, we bought the recliner and when scheduling the recliner for delivery we were delighted to find out that it was coming so quickly... Within 2 days we had it and so far we're pleased with the chair. It's comfortable. Cost was reasonable. It's perfect for the location. So we're glad that there were some small recliners because a lot of the places that we went to only had big huge ones.

    The only comment that we have is that, being a recliner, it's a little stiff so my mom can't push it back in a recline position by herself. I have to push it back for her. It does not have a lever on the side. I know that some of the chairs can be adjusted so that they are easier to push back. But this wasn't one of them. So I sit in it everyday and try to loosen it up. Even the delivery people could see how stiff the chair was and they were trying to look to see if they could loosen it up. But it wasn't that style of a chair.

    As far as La-Z-Boy's salesperson and the store, everything with that and then the designer was wonderful. But from the time it got delivered, they didn't finish making my product, my chairs. The delivery people obviously knew it wasn't finished but they left it and didn't say anything. I couldn't tell them because they already left. So that's been an issue. I have been trying to get them to get out to my house to fix it and then they had to send the part.

    I've called my salesperson twice because I haven't got a phone call from the repair people yet after my parts have gotten here. They were supposed to come today but it had to be before 11 o'clock because I had commitment. They called to schedule it for 11:30. I said, "I can't do it, there's no way, I have too many other obligations today." They haven't called me back yet so I've tried to call them and nobody's answering. So this has been my frustration because for one, it should have been delivered completed and now I can't get anybody to fix that and nobody has returned my calls and having to call twice to even get them to call me to set up an appointment. So that's been extremely frustrating. The salespeople, everything on the La-Z-Boy side was fine other than the product--somebody should have inspected it before they sent it to my house not done.

    I recently purchased a sectional recliner and some accessories from La-Z-Boy. The quality is great anad it's worth it. There are a couple issues with the two pieces but I called and they're going to take care of them. I had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for 20+ years. The sales rep, Kate, was great. She was very pleasant and very nice to deal with. Also, the sales associate was very helpful in that we happen to be in there when they were having a sale. We ordered it but didn't need it for a while and she took care of ordering it right before it was needed and it was there when we needed it. I’d recommend La-Z-Boy.     We've had La-Z-Boy for probably about 30 years, since my husband and I moved in together. The reason why we got a new recliner was that we had moved into a new home and our old furniture didn't fit into the living room that we now have. So we gave that to our child and decided to go shopping. The sales representative that we had was really awesome. She took us to exactly what my husband wanted. My husband picked one out that he really liked but he wanted it to swivel as well as rock. We couldn't find one and immediately the sales representative was like, "Nope, I know exactly what that is. Come on with me." They had it in stock and we were actually able to take it home with us right then. She was phenomenal. The quality of the recliner we bought was awesome. I've only sat on it a couple of times but I really love it. I know my husband kicks us all out the second he walks into the house. He really loves his La-Z-Boy.

    I recently purchased a sectional table and accessory from La-Z-Boy as there are no more kids in the house. The sales representative I talked to at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very helpful. I came in there with measurements and he helped us out. I held off the delivery because I was having my floors done. I called him and let him know when I would be ready to have the furniture and it was here when he said it's going to be here. So far, the furniture seems great but I haven't had it that long.     On 07 November 2014, I purchased two Queen Ann Chippendale Recliner Chair from your retailer located at 222 Daniel Webster Hwy, Nashua, NH 03060.     I recently purchased a sofa from La-Z-Boy. The quality is very good. I have had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for as long as I can remember. Our old furniture was wearing out, so I decided to purchased a new one. Our experience was very good. Sales rep was very helpful, too. The only thing I wish is that they had the products available quicker. We bought a floor model but we would have made another purchase except it would take 8 weeks to get the product. We're not willing to wait that long. I'd rather have cash and carry or faster delivery.

    We purchased two recliners and one sofa from La-Z-Boy. The sales representative were very professional. They knew their jobs and they helped us out with matching colors. Delivery was excellent. No problems. The recliners just snapped off the back so they were easy to come in. The sofa was a little harder but they brought it in okay. They put them through the door.

    Personally I like the recliner going way back we had recliners before and these are much better. Not a 100% better but they're double what we had before with the material, etc. Anyway, we have a problem with one recliner and we've called for service. They came down, they couldn't fix it. Another guy came down, said we needed new parts. So the parts had been ordered that we received and next week the repairman is coming to put them in. They were very flexible. Whenever she told us when they were in, we called the department to get them here and they were very flexible with our schedule. It was a pleasant experience overall so I have no problems with them. We would definitely tell our friends about them, which we have.

    Spent $3K on a couch, paid for all three parts of couch to recline and paid for the protection on the fabric so it would repel spills, etc. Within 2-3 weeks of having the couch, the electric part that reclined started clicking and moaning. We had to make service call and tech didn't seem to care but said he would order springs to be replaced (you really shouldn't have to repair a $3,000 couch after less than a month of use but I digress). We put up with that and then the parts finally arrived and now it was our responsibility to schedule the work to be done. (They know the parts are here but no, they can't call us to set things up. We have to do the work to get this fixed when it should have been good from day one.)

    Tonight my dog was on the couch and a drop of her drool landed on the blanket that was on the couch. We removed the blanket and saw that the couch looked like it might be damp. I dropped a droplet of water on the couch to see that the moisture would repeal and instead it was absorbed immediately. So even though we paid for the "scotch guard" on the couch, we didn't have it. I called the store mgr immediately. She said that she could send someone out to clean the couch. I had to explain multiple times that no one needed to clean it but that I paid for the fabric to be protected and it wasn't. She just wanted to give excuses and didn't seem to have solutions. I was exasperated about this and finally she said I could return the couch because (and here's the kicker) the fabric will never fully repel liquid b/c the tissue that they use in the stores to sell this feature has a tighter weave than the fabric on the couch. I'm so disappointed. I used to believe La-Z-Boy meant quality; now I know it couldn't be farther from the truth.

    My husband and I are good friends with a 64-year old blind gentleman whose 87-year old mother insisted that he get a good recliner as a gift for his new apartment we helped him arrange for in our neighborhood. My husband went shopping with the consumer, purchased a $1,200 chair with the insurance and awaited delivery. The installer damaged the chair when putting it together. A part needed to be replaced. It took 2 attempts to get the part and 3 weeks later the part arrives. We were then told that we needed to wait another week before their "technician" could come out to install the new part. We tried to speak to the supervisor who explained that this was an outsourced company and they could not control their schedule. A month later, we have a chair that does not work and waiting a week for its repair with no help from the store.

    I purchased a sofa and chair from La-Z-Boy a year ago, confident that I had purchased a high quality product. A year later, the back cushions of the sofa are not holding their shape and the insides are balling up making them an unsightly mess. I called customer service and was told my limited 1-year warranty had expired on 10/18/2014. She was extremely nasty and dictative, spouting off about having looked up the limited warranty and said that I could pay to have them come out and assess the situation and that I was out of luck. No compassion whatsoever. I don't like being talked down to and hung on her. Someone needs to learn how to work with people. Really frustrated and upset I spent money for inferior merchandise. I will not recommend anyone purchase La-Z-Boy furniture. I am deeply disappointed feeling like I was mislead on my purchase with a lifetime warranty.

    If someone wrote a book entitled How America Lost Its Quality, they could use La-Z-Boy for an example. The first line could be, 'You can get better quality but you can't pay more money'. Over the last 40 years I've owned 4 La-Z-Boy recliners. I still have one that's about 30 years old and one that's about 20. While they show extensive wear on the fabric the underlying padding and real wood frames are still in very good shape. I can't say the same for the one I purchased in July of 2014. The arm and back padding is very sparse. The overall construction is less than quality in that the padding in one arm has compacted and doesn't fill the fabric housing properly, the back padding sags and the frame is what's called chip board. I called La-Z-Boy and explained in detail the padding problems on September 19. Finally on October 31 a repairman showed up, confirmed what I had told the factory and said he'd have to order some parts and left. I called the distribution center on November 13 and was told that my parts would ship December 2nd. As I wait for repairs that never should have been needed I contemplate whether or not in the future I should just buy bargain - 2 for $500 recliners and just throw them away when they wear out.

    We have had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for 8 or 9 years. It always seems more than we want to pay but I think that quality is good. We recently purchased a new sofa as the cushions were falling apart on the one that we had. We didn't have any problem with delivery. They got it in here, got it together, and were out of here in a flash. Only thing is we might have picked the wrong style again. That's just a personal choice, but there's nothing wrong with it.     Paid for the chair Friday 11-7-14, delivery was fast and on Tuesday 11-11-14 due to it being in stock. The recliner started squeaking the night we got it and it got louder the next day (Wednesday). I called the service center and spoke with Melissa who said they probably put the chair on wrong, which didn't make me happy. This didn't inspire my confidence in them, especially because my husband and I had talked about replacing our couches with la-Z-boy furniture in the future. I was told the earliest time frame would be Nov 21st! (10 days later)!!! I told her that my concern was that the chair could be damaged if we continued to use if it wasn't put on correctly! This is when she said she shouldn't of said that and was 100% wrong for saying so.

    I was then told that the reason it would be so long was because we paid for delivery and therefore they had to use a third party in order to get our chair looked at and fixed. I didn't think that was fair and I told her so, feeling like if we had picked the chair up ourselves we would then be able to get faster customer help. Why are they so busy if these chairs are so good???!!! We spent about $915.00 on a chair that squeaks. She said she would call me if we could get an earlier appointment. I am not holding my breath! I think they should of sent someone immediately.

    After hanging up with them, not feeling satisfied with their help, I then called Cece **, the sales associate who took our purchase, and told her about my conversation with the service center. She assured me that it doesn't matter if our chair was delivered or not that we would receive the same amount of time for a service call. So two different stories and who should I believe? I just want it fixed. They should iron it out among themselves. Cece told me she would see what she could do and call me the next day on Thursday the 13th. In the meantime our chair has started to squeak going sideways since it's on a swivel base. It seems crooked.

    Cece didn't call me back at 6:30 pm Thursday the 13th, after it was too late to be able to have any person come to our home or contact us. Needless to say I am more unhappy because I don't see how this helps. I told her the chair was squeaking sideways, which she didn't understand and I had to explain about how it had a swivel base. I was told that she was so busy and that this was the first chance she had to call me. I really find that hard to believe. I was in the store twice within the last two weeks. Once with my husband for about an hour and the other time with my mom for about an hour and a half and both times we were the only customers in the store! I am told Ernie will call me for a Monday service call on 11-17-14 and I asked for the store manager to call, Chuck** who will follow through with this on Saturday November 15th. I hope they honor their product and fix their merchandise. I am the most unhappy with how a typical service call is handled and that fact that the item paid for doesn't work properly. Not our fault and we shouldn't have to wait. Period. I told her we should be a priority and she said that they had other priorities.

    I feel that they don't care, they have their money and that's all they care about. When trying to put my baby girl to sleep, or talk with my husband, it's so annoying to constantly hear this squeak and I have only had it for 3 days. Maybe my attitude will change once somebody from la-z-boy cares enough to fix or replace a chair that works!!! I don't ever think I will purchase anything further with them in the future. It would take a lot to change my mind! To be continued.....for the better I hope.

    We purchased five pieces of furniture from La-Z-Boy Frisco, TX in Aug 2014. As they said it would take 6 to 12 weeks, we had to pick two of the pieces which are readily available in store. The rest of them were promised to be delivered as soon as possible before 8 weeks as we mentioned that we do not have anything to sit on in the main living room. We did not go for any custom materials and selected the ones displayed in the showroom. We kept checking on the furniture with the sale person every two weeks in the initial 6 week period to see if we have any luck on getting the furniture earlier and to purchase few accessories. We were just told the order is still in process.

    Fast forward Oct 2014, it is 12th week and still no response. When we checked all they have to say is that they do not see the furniture dispatched from the warehouse and it might take another 8 weeks!!!!! The new expected date is late Dec or early January 2015 for something ordered in early Aug 2014. We have been waiting patiently for 4 months and even painted our walls with shades of blue to match the furniture. I am very disappointed with the service offered and especially with the wait time for the furniture.

    Purchased the Gavin Leather Collection 3 pieces in 2008 with Guardian Leather Protection 5-year Protection plan on each piece. Almost 2 years later saw a spot on the sofa and thought my kid spilled something, so I wiped it off and behold the leather dye was just wiping onto my rag without any effort. Furniture cannot be cleaned because the dye wipes right off the leather. Went to the La-z-Boy store in Fairfax, VA and they tried to assist me and then referred me back to Guardian since I purchased the protection, and I got the run around from there even after writing a letter to the La-Z-Boy CEO. Staff responded in an oh-well manner and I know the letter never made it up the chain because if he would have seen these pictures I have uploaded he would not have gave that response to his product line.

    I love how this furniture sets and just want this "manufacturer's product defect" addressed and replaced. I am angry because this is the eyesore of my beautiful house and I feel like I got burned on something that should have been a product recall and I have located another customer with the exact same issue who responded on the La-Z-Boy review website: "Initially happy with my purchase of this sofa when I purchased it in 2010. While the structure of the sofa has held up exceptionally well, the so-called leather has not. The color is beginning to chip off on the cushion areas despite following cleaning/care recommendations. We take excellent care of the things we buy. Very disappointed that this is happening and that I will have to be purchasing another sofa so soon. I hoped with buying a higher quality product that I would get many years of use out of it. Unfortunately the so-called leather appears not to be durable with everyday use for very long." I hope this helps customers that are debating buying the La-Z-Boy collections!

    I purchased two recliner chairs. At delivery one was damaged as the leather was scuffed and there was pint holes in the back. Driver made notation of damage and a not for replacement. Went by store a few days later to check on replacement to find out they would send out a person to check it out. They said my only other choice was to call customer service. Called customer service and was told they would have the manager to call me. He has not called as was told by customer service. Becoming a very unhappy person with the treatment I am receiving. At this time will not give a good rating unless I see an improvement in solving this. So far no one has did anything to replace the chair.

We returned it and it wasn't fixed. It was delivered to us again and returned again. Now Lazyboy is telling us to use a shaver on the cloth and fix it ourselves! It's not been used for a month yet!

    We purchased a loft bed for our son - 826 Lea Elite Crossover on September 1, 2014 in Montgomeryville, PA. We were told we would receive it first week of October. Apparently, when placing our order sales person made a mistake and did not order all boxes from the set (3), but ordered only 2. End of September I called La-Z-Boy and they said that our bed was ready for pick up. So my husband goes to their warehouse. He is given two boxes that corresponds to our copy of the order. He brings them home. Our 8-year old is happy and excited because his new bed has arrived! His room is empty as Dad disassembled his old twin bed and moved it out. All is good until we open the boxes and realize that we do not have all the parts for the bed.

    Next day I call the store and tell them about the problem. They promise to check it and get back to me. No one calls me back for 2 days, then I finally get to talk to the sales person who did our order and she informs me that she placed an order for the missing third box and we would get it in 3-4 weeks. All is done without a "sorry, I made a mistake" or any apology. The only benefit I was able to get from her is that due to "misfortunate situation" this 3rd box would be delivered to our house and the bed would be put together by their tech guys. Three weeks later we finally got this 3rd box from the set, at 8 pm. Driver and his help had no idea that they had to put the bed together. After 30 min call with La-Z-Boy and the driver's manager, they agreed to "try" to put it together.

    Good thing my husband was home and he practically told the guys what part goes where and how to connect pieces. They had no clue how to build it! It took good couple of hours to put the bed together! It's past 10 pm, my son finally has his bed! All is great until next morning I open the blinds and see this bed in sunlight. It has holes from wood eating bugs ALL OVER. I called the store again, but they said it falls out of their scope of duties, take all the information and promise that someone from their Comfort Care team would call me within 24 hours. Well, of course nobody calls, not within 24, not within 48 hours. I called and left several messages, until almost a week later someone called me back and requested to send pictures of the "areas of concern".

    I sent those pictures clearly showing holes in the wood. After 5 more calls and another week of waiting I have received a response that these holes are "natural beauty of this collection" and that they found no defects with the furniture and would not exchange it. La-Z-Boy, you clearly made your point that you could not care less about your customers and their concerns. With Custom Care received, I really doubt I would ever buy anything from your company or would recommend it to anyone as a good reputable source of furniture.

    I purchased well over $4000 dollars of furniture from La-z-Boy Greenfield, Wisconsin. Unfortunately the pieces that I received were delivered with multiple trips and yet months later I still do not have everything I ordered. Part of my purchase was two special ordered matching ottomans. When received one had a quality control issue with fabric on a slant. When you have a graphic pattern, a slant is a big deal. I called the store that I ordered from and was told I had to call customer service. When I did they said it was a warranty issue because I had the ottomans more than 24 hours. How can it be warranty when I had yet to use them? It was a quality control issue that at this point had wasted much of my time. They asked if I could send pictures. Instead I took them back to the store hoping for a fair face to face resolution.

    Store manager Dan was unwilling to accept my request for a refund because it was more than 24 hours. Odd how they can give expected delivery dates on item you order that are weeks off but yet expect you to return something in 24 hours. They took no responsibility for error in making product. The manager was arrogant and demonstrated very poor customer service capabilities. Brenda was a great sales person that unfortunately will lose commission because I am not willing to shop at a store with such poor customer service management. Taking responsibility and providing a refund would have resulted in even more sales but that did not happen. I do not recommend shopping at that store as they do not support the products they sell.

    A little over a year ago we purchased a $1200 leather recliner from these folks. First of all, the saleswoman was too busy joking with the other employees to write up our order timely and properly. So we received an entirely different chair than we had ordered. But on examination, and with the assurance from the delivery personnel that the paperwork they had received was for the delivered item (the busy saleswoman I suppose), we decided to keep it.

    After three or four months the chair was not used for nearly six months as we were away. Now after a few more months of use the foam in the right arm has collapsed at the point where the elbow rests. On checking the warranty I read this on their site: Introduction: With every La-Z-Boy product, you receive the famous La-Z-Boy limited warranty; one of the best in the industry.

    Well, let's see. As I understand it, in the first year (maybe more, depending on the type of foam) they'll cover the material cost. Maybe $10? Labor is on me. This chair replaced one of two high end La-Z-Boy recliners we had for well over ten years. Both survived my elbows, one is still in use in our RV. I guess I'd add La-Z-Boy to the long list of established companies that cheapen their product annually until they are producing mediocre to junk products.

    I'm 68 now and I thought it was time to purchase a new sofa for my family room. In my living room, I have a La-Z-Boy sofa and loveseat that I purchased about ten years ago. We don't use the living room that much and the sofa's still brand new. I visited some other furniture stores and I thought I'm gonna go back to La-Z-Boy. I looked online first before I went to the store. I thought with the size of our family room, the Kennedy sectional would be fine. When I went to the store, I looked at the Kennedy and it was fine but it was too small. So I purchased the three-piece sectional and I was really happy with it. I took about a month and a half but I thought that's really what it takes.

    The quality of the furniture is pretty fair. It's expensive but I purchase it on sale, so I got a discount. It's expensive but it's reasonable. The delivery team was good, but the situation was poor because the delivery was scheduled for between 5 and 8pm and then we got a call about 7:30 saying they won't be able to deliver because the truck had broken down so I was really disappointed about them. That was the worst part of it. In the end, the delivery team was nice. They set up the sofa, were good, were pleasant, had a good attitude and they listened to our complaints. Of course it wasn't their fault.

    I own 3 la-z-boy recliners. The oldest is well built, the 2 newer ones not so much. The rex model was built in 2009 and the left arm assembly was replaced under warranty, delivered broken. Now right arm is loose. It is made out of thin particleboard and stapled together, very cheap used to be plywood glue and screws. My other chair made in 2012 a Lyndon model the buttons pop off the back. They re-sew them for free but they should not pop in the first place. Buttons have been sewn on furniture for centuries and last about that long, not with the new la-z-boy chairs. La-z-boy is no longer a quality product, that is very sad.

One has a material defect and one cushion when you sit on it sounds like an air bag deflating (that one just needs adjustment because when you sit on it, you feel like you're sloped down to the floor with your legs.) So we went to the store yesterday because the 2 pieces need fixing. The woman at the store said she's never heard that noise in the sofa before. But we sat on one in the store and they did the same thing. Aside from that I was misled in the beginning, and I have mentioned this to the woman. I said, "You have a sofa set right there. I was told you didn't have sofas with our recliners." She said, "No, you were misled." She's going to let me do an exchange but it would have cost me $1,500 for just a sofa and I only paid $800+ for the sofa I had right now with the 2 recliners and they would have been of different materials.

    I've had La-Z-Boy furniture for 10 years. I purchased new furniture because the leather wore out of my other recliner. Kim at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very, very nice and super patient. She must have called me seven times because I told her I knew what I wanted. She got it in the store because it was not the sample in the store and managed to get it because I wouldn't buy anything if I couldn't sit on it. I also said I'm not buying it till it's 30% off and she would call me every time it was going to be 30% off.

    I like the recliner that I got but there is one thing. When I recline it on my side, when it goes up, reaches a certain point and there's a little jerk to it. When it goes down, there's nothing. It works fine. I just want to have on record that it's there since we got it. It is very expensive. I could have gotten a whole room of furniture, but it's my choice to get it so obviously I thought it was worth it. The leather on the old one wore out and that bothered me. I don't expect high quality leather to wear out, and the other one did. If this leather holds up, I'd buy from them again. If the leather doesn't hold up, I won't.

    I am very unhappy with the purchase of La-Z-Boy furniture. This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. I moved in Oct 2012 so I started looking for a better sofa and a chair to replace the older pieces. My co-worker recommended La-Z-Boy so I went to the store in Roseville, CA a couple of times. After I talked to the sales lady and sat on the floor models for several times, I was convinced that La-Z-Boy furniture would be a quality buy. Finally I ordered La-Z-Boy bree sofa, chaise, chair and ottoman on 1/21/2013.

    All the pieces were delivered around March 2013. There was a little issue of fabric on the chaise but it got resolved. At first everything seems to be fine, we were happy with our purchase. Starting Oct this year, I noticed that when we sit down on the chair or lean at the back of the chair, it makes clicking sounds. Then it seems to be catching. The sofa started making that kind of terrible clicking noises when we just change a body position on the sofa. Now, the chaise and the ottoman have the same issue. The clicking sound seems to come from a loose frame or something inside. It is very very annoying. Besides that, the cushions of the chaise and ottoman are slightly out of shape.

    I called the customer care service. The guy agreed it is a quality issue, but it will cost me $109 to have a service guy come in to examine the problems. If it is confirmed that they need repair and everything gets repaired within 1 hour, I don't need to pay extra, otherwise I need to pay $60 (I forgot the exact amount) for each additional hour because it is more than one year from the delivery date. Since all the pieces have problems, there is no way to get all fixed within a couple of hours. I even doubt the issue could be fixed at all. After talk to the customer care service guy, I was shocked and felt like that I got scammed. La-Z-Boy used to be the brand that stood for good quality. Nowadays, the quality definitely goes down to the hill. When sit on the expensive noisy pieces that are used for only 1 year and 7 months, I regret what I bought. I do not recommend buying La-Z-Boy furniture.

    While sweeping my new hardwood floor I noticed a gouge. On further inspection, the couch was found to be missing a rubber pad on its back leg and nail was protruding from the leg. La-Z-Boy customer service advised that I should have had the delivery personnel tip the couch upside down so I could inspect the legs. Really, who ever does that! Especially when La-Z-Boy is supposedly reputable and a defect as such is not expected. La-Z-Boy will come to repair the couch leg but accepts no responsibility for my damaged flooring. I got the impression that had I called sooner, they would have pinned the damage on the delivery men.

    This is the second chair that I got from La-Z-Boy. I had some problems with the first store I went to because it wouldn't honor the sale and had to go to a second store to purchase it. The chair itself is okay but I am a little bit disappointed. This is a rocker-recliner. The other one I had previously was the other kind which I preferred. I did not realize that there would be a significant difference. Every time you put the footrest down after it's been up, it jerks as if it is going to break.     I bought a recliner from La-Z-Boy for my grandfather. He loves his La-Z-Boy. When I asked him what he wanted, he said, "I want a large TV and a La-Z-Boy." We went online, looked at a few stuff and he picked it out. It's so nice he refuses to sleep in his bed. It's a good thing but it's also a bad thing because I can't get him to sleep on his bed now. When I approached one of the sales associate she said, "Okay, we're available on this day" and it was set up right then and there. The very helpful delivery team showed up on time. They showed me how to use the product and set it up for me. They were in and out in minutes. There was no damage done. The product came in perfect shape. This is the best purchase so far out of any piece of furniture I've ever bought.

    Recently our old furniture needed to be replaced so I went to the store to purchase new furniture. We were there for a couple of hours. The sales associate at the store was unable to conduct herself in a really professional manner in terms of answering questions in a fact-filled way and remaining calm and objective about this. I had to keep her on task. And then in setting up the schedule for the delivery, she called once, gave us a date and left a phone message. I wasn't here at the time. She called back and said, "Gee, I didn't mean to give you that date. I don't know how that happened," and then rescheduled. She couldn't explain why she called the first time, which lends credence to what I was saying about her before...

    We have a pretty good experience with La-Z Boy. Furniture quality is very good vis-à-vis cost. If we bought furniture again soon, it will be from La-Z-Boy. But it won't be at that store from that person. We have access to more than one store.

    We bought a new house and we needed new furniture. So, I decided to purchase a sofa, loveseat and an ottoman from La-Z-Boy. The sales rep at the La-Z-Boy gallery that I worked with, Kat, was nice and helpful. The sales associates were also fine. I paid my bill and got it delivered. One thing I was upset about was the fact that it took them 18 weeks to get my furniture. I kept calling when it was expected. They gave me a discount, but we had a lot of issues with the furniture. The ottoman is completely lopsided. The top is too big for the piece of furniture, it overhangs. The cushion on the couch was too short, and the stitching was bad in a couple of areas, really poor workmanship. I wanted to get it replaced or my money back. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

    As for the delivery team, they were supposed to come between 12:30 and 3. My husband was home and I was five minutes out. I wanted to see the furniture before they left, but I missed them. They didn’t hook up the cushions and the couch properly to make sure the cushions don’t come out. They just left the furniture and off they went. It was a very poor and disappointing experience. I’m just glad that they’re going to replace my furniture, but having to go through what I did, it never should have happened.

    I ordered several items from La-z-boy for our living room totaling $5600. A couch, 2 recliners, a bench, and entertainment console. When they delivered the furniture 10/7, the delivery guy had a wound and bled all over the last chair he brought in. He told my husband that he bled a little on it. It looked like a small spot, so my husband was just going to have them clean it, but after they left, he saw there were actually several blood spots, the delivery guy had just turned over the seat cushion to hide it. He tried calling the delivery guy, who of course did not answer. Initially customer service told us it would be 3 days to get someone out to clean it, but we told them that was unacceptable, we don't want a bloody chair in our home. They then picked up the chair and said they would make a new one due to the extent of the staining. It's now been nearly a month and we're still waiting on that last chair, which has been very inconvenient since we're missing a main seat in our main living area. They did refund the delivery fee, but refused to discount the chair despite our inconvenience and I get the impression no one really cares. They know we can't return the item since it's custom made and they already have our money.

    In addition, after closer inspection, the entertainment console they delivered has rusty/corroded knobs and hinges and we found a sales tag hanging inside it that said it was a "Hot Buy" last chance, "as is" sale item for $809. We paid $1000 for a new item and they delivered us a damaged clearance piece hoping we wouldn't notice. In notifying the store manager, he indicated they no longer sell this item and he was going to see if he could find us a better floor model, but that was 2 weeks ago and still no update. We require a console of rather a difficult size to find, so we'll either keep the damaged piece if they discount it enough or have to start our search over at other stores. Either way, very annoying when they told us this item was in stock when we purchased in August.

    We spent twice as much here as other stores thinking we were paying for quality. VERY disappointed in the horrible customer service and as of nearly a month later, we're still trying to resolve. Even more frustrating is any follow up is happening from us, no one is following up with us.

    I tried to order a chair, pillows, and two tables at a La-Z-Boy store, but when I tried to pay they told me I could not use my La-Z-Boy card. They didn't try to process it, just said that I had to pay a deposit and that I had to pay using some other form of payment. They said I could only use the La-Z-Boy card to pay the final balance when the furniture arrives. The deposit they asked for was $400-$500 on a $2,300 (approx.) order. Only the chair and pillows were custom; the tables were displayed on the sales floor but not in stock. I don't understand why I couldn't use the La-Z-Boy card to place the order, and the manager either couldn't or wouldn't explain it to me. It was a very disappointing experience. I want the furniture, but not if I have to pay that much up front out of pocket.

    I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 12 years. The quality of the furniture is very good and compared to the cost, it’s very reasonable. I recently purchased a sofa, loveseat, recliner and chair from them. I got them because we moved. The sales representative from the gallery was excellent. We realize it was gonna be made before we got it, so it was fine. The delivery team was excellent and did a very good job. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with La-Z-Boy. I really like the sofa-recliner. It’s just that they neglected to assemble some of the trim going on the sofa, so we got a tech coming out Saturday.

    On 8-27-14, I went to LZB to purchase a couch and chaise. Picked out a set, paid with my credit card and left. Weeks later, the set was delivered to my home. It looked great. I then sat on the couch and BOTH ends of the seat popped up, since I was sitting in the middle. I got up thinking nothing of it until I sat down again and again the ends popped up again. I looked and looked at the seat. The seat has hooks two to each side that holds the end down. The LZB employees didn't secure them to the seat. "POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE".

    After a week or so, we noticed the couch seat was SAGGING inward and downward like a flat tire. I called LZB and explained what the problem is/was. The salesman said LZB will fix THE COUCH because the wrong poly was installed in the couch. I then said, "What about the chaise?" Since BOTH units came together. The salesman said, "Oh the chaise is fine because it was made ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FACTORY FROM WHERE THE COUCH WAS MADE so the poly won't need upgrading." REALLY? I let that STUPID LIE GO. I told him that I wanted both fixed at the same time. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

    I asked, "What do my family sit on while the FURNITURE was out for repair?" He had no clue! "I" had to SUGGEST a loaner couch at least. They did send a GREY COUCH. LZB did pick my FURNITURE up. "TWO DAYS LATER", LZB called and said that the couch and chaise was ready..."IN TWO DAYS?" I asked. I then asked, "How was ALL of the work completed in TWO DAYS?" I was told that it was a SPECIAL ORDER... REALLY? I said, "Do you mean to tell me that they repaired the chaise (which needed to be taken apart because the seat is part of the chaise, it's not two pieces like the couch) put new poly in the couch seat AND the chaise in two days?" She was stuck! I then called LZB Headquarters in San Jose, CA to speak with a manager or a supervisor... I explained the issues. I was told to work it out with EMERYVILLE.

    I called Emeryville back again. I was told the salesman was busy on the phone, just left, have me call back! When I did get to speak with the same guy that told me THE FACTORY LIE, I asked him what's going on? He said to let him check, he'll call me back the next day. He said, if you don't hear back from him by 1:00 pm I should call HIM BACK.. Really? I waited for his call, no return phone call at 1:00 pm... So I called him back at "2:00 pm" he wasn't there. A female voice said that he was out on a house call. Now I'm REALLY PISSED!!! I called San Jose back again and again I was told to call EMERYVILLE back. I want off! I TRIED to explain that the salesman WON'T return my phone calls.

    A LONGER story short, when the COUCH AND CHAISE was came back. 1. The couch looked worse, the seat was/is lumpy. All they did was unzipped it and reset the poly. The problem is the poly wasn't firm enough in the first place. 2. The chaise looks puffy like it's having a baby.

    I called San Jose AGAIN! Sent pictures also. After Two weeks of screaming with these people they decided to refund my money. The next problem was ... When LZB pick up the FUNITURE... What do my family have to seat on while waiting for 3-5 business days for $2,219.00 repost back into my account? "I" again has to suggest at least a loaner couch ... I was told "Oh we can't do that, it's against policy" REALLY? They had already loaned me a Grey Couch once .... So as it stands now NO COUCH, NO CHAISE and NO MONEY reposted Yet. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LZB

    What LZB should have done was APOLOGIZE for the poor craftsmanship and customer service... approve the loaner. But I and my family was treated like a dogs, disrespected, talked down to, lied to, which stressed me out to the point to where my BP was affected. Not to mention the stress that was posed onto my kids by having to sit on the floor while playing games, etc.

    On November 23, 2012 my wife and I purchased a Quinn model sofa and loveseat from the La-Z-Boy store in Towson, Maryland at a price of $2694.29. Since we have a cat, we also bought the 5-year Guardsman Fabric Protection Plan. About 1 1/2 years after buying the furniture, the loveseat began to sag in the middle and the deck fabric covering (that supports the sofa cushions) began to tear at the seam. My wife and I are normal weight and we do not have children. I later grabbed the front of the armrest of the sofa and was stuck by a protruding staple. I contacted the Guardsman Company and was told that manufacturer defects are not covered. I then called La-Z-Boy customer service and was told that the furniture was beyond the 1-year warranty. The rep offered to ship out a new deck, but I would have to pay for the repair. We paid almost $2700.00 for (2) pieces of furniture, that was defective and of inferior quality. We also spent $219.98 for the Guardsman Protection Plan.

    The quality of La-Z-Boy furniture has declined significantly. If you wish to pay a high price for inferior quality furniture buy from this company. Also, if you do decide to purchase from La-Z-Boy DO NOT buy the Guardsman Plan. It is pricey and virtually worthless. It is solely designed to put additional cash into the salesperson's pocket and increase the profitability of La-Z-Boy. My wife and I plan to make many more furniture purchases in the future. They will not be from this company. Sad to see the decline.

We spent quite a bit of time with the sales representatives and they went over a lot of different things and features and they were able to answer all my questions.     Contacted La-Z-Boy warranty service for a replacement part on my sleeper-sofa mechanism. La-Z-Boy does not sell parts, so they ordered a complete sleeper-sofa mechanism. Customer service took my order, verified my contact info, discussed how the part would be delivered (FedEx vs. carrier). The heavy, bulky part was supposed to be shipped to my home. Instead, the part was shipped to the store I purchased my furniture from originally. The store claims they have no way to deliver the part to my home and told me I had to call the warranty service center. When I called the warranty service center, the tech claimed someone "higher up" overrode his delivery order so they could have positive proof of the delivery. Apparently, sleeper-sofa mechanism thieves routinely deny receipt of their part and get multiple parts fraudulently shipped to them, selling the metal for scrap. (Seriously... this is what he told me.) Now I have to find a suitable vehicle, and two hours of my free time for the 100 mile round trip, to retrieve a warranty part from La-Z-BOY.

    We ordered a recliner and a side table from La-Z-Boy with the expectation that we would receive a quality product and quality customer service. We purchased the recliner in-store on a Thursday and were told that the recliner would be delivered to our home that upcoming Sunday. We were very pleased as this was quicker than we expected and we would not have to take time off work.

    We were told the delivery would be sometime between 3pm and 6pm that Sunday. At approximately 3pm on Sunday, we received a call from the delivery person asking us in what city we lived. We told them and they told us they were an hour away. They stated that the zip code was entered incorrectly by the clerk at the store. The address they had on their paperwork stated we lived in a city that is approximately 40-45 minutes away from us (which was closer to where they were calling from).

    After 3-4 phone calls to us, the delivery person told us that they would not deliver to us and that we would have to reschedule the delivery. We contacted the store and spoke to a manager. The manager researched what happened and stated that they would not deliver to us because we live too far away from where they were at that time. We explained that this was mistake that the store made and that we should not suffer as a result. The manager never apologized for this mistake and never offered to make it right. The manager simply stated that they have six more deliveries that day and that we live too far away.

    During the original sale, we agreed that we would pick up the side table from the store and were told that the table would be in that upcoming Tuesday. During the phone call with the manager, we asked her if we could just pick up the recliner at the time we picked up the table. The manager agreed and said that we would have to wait until Thursday to pick it up as they have to put the recliner back through the system and re-route it. We still do not understand why the truck could not drop it off at the store that day (the store is in same city they originally thought they going to deliver our recliner). The manager refused to exercise good customer service by offering to make their mistake right. We just had to wait. The manager then told us she "guessed" she could refund our delivery fee.

    We went to the store that following Thursday to pick up the chair. The chair and the table were there and the manager did everything in her power to push us out the door. When she showed us the chair and told us to load it as she was trying to shut the back door. We told her to wait because we still have a table. It took them a couple of minutes to find the table. We looked at it and then loaded it in our vehicle. Again, she was trying to shut the door on us. We told her we would meet her inside. We went inside and asked her if our delivery fee had been refunded and it had not. While refunding the delivery fee, she asked us if we were the people who had the zip code problem and we told her we were. She said nothing.

    At this point, the only people to apologize to us were the delivery people. As we pulled out of the parking lot, the manager was running towards our vehicle flagging us down. She wanted to make a point to show us the address they had on the delivery receipt. The address did reflect the incorrect city, however when we completed the original paperwork in the store, we wrote the correct address down. She handed us the receipt. We attempted to respond to what she said and before we knew it, she RAN away from our vehicle. We could not believe she ran from us. She did not walk, she ran and never allowed us to respond. No one from La-Z-Boy as offered us an apology or anything to make THEIR mistake right. We were flabbergasted at how we were treated by a company that has been in business for so long and with such a good reputation. We will never buy from this company again.

    Was so excited to buy my new sofa from La-Z-Boy boy but to my huge disappointment the sofa started fraying which I thought ok I have a warranty!?!? The section that frayed no problem they came and picked it up, fixed and brought back to our home. Then the other end / side did the same thing (disappointed but figured no big deal they will fix) but apparently my sofa was out of warranty for this particular fraying???? Sofa is less than 2 years old!!! WHAT??? So I fault it! The man I spoke with on the phone kept telling me he was doing me a favor WHAT??? Because it was out warranty!! They have the material to fix it but we have to bring to warehouse, the problem is we have to have help to carry down 3 flights of stairs then back up. Would never recommend and will put on social media as well!!!

    I recently started to develop some sort of a skin allergy from the recliner I was using so decided to get another. I shopped around a whole bunch of different places and came back to La-Z-Boy and bought a leather recliner. I've had La-Z-Boy furniture before and the quality is very good. In fact, with the other chair, I had it eight years and something happened just about a year ago. It wouldn't fold up again as the legs were stuck up. They came out and fixed it. Boom! It was back in operation. So I'm very pleased. People say, "Oh, La-Z-Boy's are expensive!" But you know what? You get what you pay for.

    The sales representative at the gallery was very nice. She showed me a couple of different models because I didn't want a really large, huge clubs chair. So she guided me to the right chair. I wound up getting exactly the chair I wanted. I wish they had had a few more colors choices in leather. I have absolutely nothing negative. I have no qualms with La-Z-Boy. I find their products are well-made and they stand behind them. If there is any kind of a mechanism problem, they fix it and they were very accommodating as to coming out and fixing the old chair. I've been pleased with my association with La-Z-Boy so I definitely recommend them.

    We purchased a reclining sofa in August 2014. They replaced two seat cushions in October. We still have problems with the couch. After contacting customer service and sending pictures they determined nothing was wrong. The fabric bunches up, the backs are uneven and the foam padding is thicker in the middle than the ends. Worst furniture we ever bought. That was $1800 dollars down the drain.

    We've had very good experiences with La-Z-Boy. We bought a couch a year and a half ago and then the recliner years ago. Their reps are very friendly and helpful.     Our experience with La-Z-Boy was good except for one problem but they corrected it. The chair wouldn't fit in. It was a console loveseat and the console wouldn't fit through the door. So we took it back to the store and they made a correction. They gave me one that would fit. Everybody was very kind and very friendly, and they worked well with me. I had no problems at all. The quality of the items is very good, as well as the delivery team both times that they had to deliver. I had no problems at all. I recommend La-Z-Boy.

    Searched far and wide for the perfect recliner. Thought I found it at La-Z-Boy. Oops, want a different color? Wait 8 weeks. Willing to settle for color in stock? Oh, it will take a week to get that delivered (in stock means?). Oops, need a defined delivery window? We don't do that but schedule it, see if it the time works out. Oh, you need it in the morning? We can only came in afternoon. Oh, you want to reschedule? You'll need to call the store. Reschedule delivery? Will take another week. I talked with at least 5 people throughout this transaction all of whom were determined to "teach me about the store's policies" rather than respond to my needs and preferences as a customer. I finally just canceled the order. Guess I never will get that chair!

    I’ve recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy. I bought one from them back in ‘93. That one went with my ex-husband. But as far as I know from my son, he still has the couch. My friend had a La-Z-Boy sectional as well and she loves it. It’s well built.

    I worked with a lady. I cannot remember her name, but she was very nice, very knowledgeable. She helped me out every step of the way. Delivery team were really nice too.     I bought my first La-Z-Boy recliner back in '85 and I still have it. I recently bought a new one because I was looking for a leather recliner to go in the living room. La-Z-Boy does an excellent job. I have checked out quite a few chairs and La-Z-Boy's products are very well made and very sturdy.     BEWARE. The leather they use doesn't hold its dye!! Within a year the chair will have the distressed (worn out look) on parts of the chair. They replaced the distressed (in their words dye loss) that happened within the year warranty but nothing thereafter. Instead they will have a unhappy GM leave you a message you can hardly understand saying you can pay $70 and they will come out and tell you how much you will have to pay to replace even though they admit the leather and dye is substandard and didn't hold. VERY UNHAPPY WITH PRODUCT!!! Thought I was buying quality, not so!

    We've recently purchased a sofa, recliner, tables, and some accessories from La-Z-Boy. The sales representative at the gallery was very helpful and they sent someone out to actually survey the area and come up with an idea of what will fit and how it will fit, like with a layout plan. Delivery was pretty helpful too. A piece of furniture has been damaged and the delivery guy did not even put it on the truck because of that. He was like, "Hey, it's damaged.     I’ve recently purchased a recliner, a chair, and other accessories from La-Z-Boy, some of which I haven’t gotten yet, though. I have received everything but the rug. This is my first purchase from them. We purchased new furniture because my husband was having trouble sleeping. He’s getting old and he’s got aches and pains, and he’s sleeping in the chair most nights. And I figured an easy recliner would be much easier for him to sleep in. As far as I’m concerned, the only decent one around is La-Z-Boy so that’s where I went.

    So far, furniture’s quality seems fine. We thought he had ordered memory foam put in. And he said that it doesn’t feel like there’s memory foam in it. But he sleeps just fine in it. Also, I had one of the designers come out and help me. I had no problems with her whatsoever. She’s very helpful. Delivery team were very nice, too. Brought it in, placed it where I wanted it. When they didn’t do it right, they moved it. Took all the plastic out. They were fine.

    I’d recommend La-Z-Boy but if I have to wait for forever for my rug, I might change my mind. Last I heard, it’s not supposed to be here until January. It was back ordered, apparently. We’ll see how my patience last. It’s out of their control, anyway. They have to wait to receive it so I can’t get mad at La-Z-Boy for it but I can cancel the order and get a different rug.

    We paid over 3000 for microfiber couch and loveseat with reclining seats. The cushions lost their shape. The board on the footrests squeak, and now has permanent footrest dents. We shopped around for long time for the right pieces, and decided to spend extra $$ for what we thought was the best in quality. Now our pieces look odd, since we sit in the same seat, and one side is decent and the other, looks like it's 10 yrs old! The back also sags and has lost its cushiony feel and look. Hope this helps.

He ordered replacements which, as just notified, will not arrive until November 7. Store manager got argumentative about being questioned about the length of time required to receive product and address issue with product. I will not order another La -Z- Boy product.

    I was over in Monroeville at Starbucks and I saw they put a new store over there so I went in. I was with my sister because she was in the market for furniture too. We got to looking around and they came up and informed us that there was a decorator. He could help us measure, it happened to be a gentleman who measures the size of the room and help us decide and visit the house. It was a wonderful experience. She and I both did it. I’ve purchased a sofa, recliner, tables and other accessories. It’s my first La-Z-Boy purchase. We did our game room over and I wanted new furniture. Quality of the furniture is wonderful. One cushion of the sofas had a foam that did not fit into the cover properly so I showed him when he came. He looked at it and help me put some things around and made a phone call and they got back with me. They made me a new cushion and sent it. It's perfect. I had the furniture delivered. It was for back order so everything came at one time and they delivered it. They came four days later, checked everything over and helped me hang some pictures and it was wonderful. It's a good service for busy people. Overall, I’d recommend La-Z-Boy.

    I needed a chair that fit me better. I looked at other manufacturers but the La-Z Boy recliner had more of the support that I needed for my back so I bought it. It was on sale. When they delivered it, they were right on time and they were very nice. They moved the old one for us and put in the new one. It took maybe 10 minutes but it was perfectly done.

    I'm 62 years old. My parents had La-Z-Boys. We've had this La-Z-Boy furniture for my lifetime. The quality of the furniture has been excellent. I haven't had any problems at all, just what I expected of La-Z-Boy. It's a household brand. My only suggestion would be maybe a little bit better training with those younger sales associates because the first gal I worked with at La-Z Boy was okay, but she didn't quite know enough. I went back in during the day and talked to an older woman and she knew everything, was very forthright and answered all my questions. I don't want to talk about age, but I have a feeling that the older woman had more experience with the company and with all the amenities to the product so she knew more. So a little bit more training would probably help, because I would have gotten a clearer picture of what was available.

    We went to look for a sofa bed in the La-Z-Boy store. We got the sofa bed. We're happy with that. We haven't slept on it yet, but we're happy with it. I saw a chair and I went over and I sat in it briefly. I thought it's wonderful and so we ordered two of those. I waited a long time for my chair and I'm just trying to recover with my broken femur bone. I've been really excited waiting for it to come, and then phooey!

    I'm only 5 foot 2 inches tall and I have the La-Z-Boy chair that's not motor-driven and every time I try to put it back, I throw my shoulder out and I just can't get comfortable and it doesn't fit me. It pushes my head forward. I have a bad experience with it. Anyway, my husband is stronger than I am and his works alright for him, but it makes such a horrible banging noise! It's weird. None of the other reclining pieces we've had ever made that kind of a noise when you try to put it down. It sounds like a big crash. I need somebody to come and do something with my chair. I went over at La-Z Boy and talked with the salesman and told him my dilemma. He told me I'm not pushing it back right or there's some little wing that's in the bottom I can loosen up, and that doesn't help. It still does the same thing. I am not happy with my chair!

    I would recommend La-Z-Boy for a sofa bed, but not for chairs. The salesman was a very nice man. He's very congenial. Everyone has been fine. However, my experience with the chair is the worst. I'm going to call the salesman back and ask him to send someone to adjust it. I've waited a long time for a chair that I thought would be comfortable to suit my small body, and it's not comfortable and I feel that we spent a lot of money for a chair and I'm just not happy with mine. I got to find something else that would be better. But I don't think I'm going to have any luck. I'm stuck with them.

    We went to the La-Z-Boy gallery and the first girl that we got was excellent. I believe her name is Melissa. She explained everything as opposed to the second girl (we came back a second time, I wasn’t as happy with the other one). Anyway we purchased a chair but we really didn't want it. We got it here and we didn’t like it. It hurt my wife’s back. So we called up and got a hold of Melissa and finally got the chair exchanged. She was really good. Her and the manager. The chair we got now is fine. It's a power recliner (my wife has back problems so we needed one with power) and we got a good deal on it. Price is a little higher than other places but it’s a much better chair. We got the extra protection on it and everything and it seems to be working well for my wife. It’s more comfortable for her. The only thing I didn't care for was that we were charged extra delivery charge. I also didn't like that the delivery guys who brought the first chair were rushing us to get signed, because I think we were the first delivery. The second one, however, the ones that picked up the other one and delivered the new one were great.

    Our old furniture was on its way out. We needed an upgrade, so we decided to purchase a chair, sofa and ottoman from La-Z-Boy. I had no problems with the La-Z-Boy salespeople. They were great. I even paid off the furniture over a month before they delivered them. My problem was it took too long before they were able to get the furniture to us. They didn’t have the couch that I had ordered in the color I wanted. At first they told me it was only gonna be 4 to 6 weeks, and it ended up being almost 2 months. That was the big disappointment. I had to call them 2 or 3 times, and they would tell me, “No, it’s not in yet.” On the other hand, I like the chairs. They’re very comfortable. I have no problems with them.

    La-Z-Boy recliners are made to fall apart. The handles are placed so low to the ground that you have to lean over the arm to deploy the foot rest. Utilizing the foot rest as the chair was intended results in the arm becoming disjointed. Although the particle board parts are free for replacement the customer has to pay $50 an hour for someone to replace it. From the first to call to the repair finally being concluded is about and 8 to 10 week process. The customer service isn't there, customer satisfaction is not of concern to them and their product is a joke. Don't buy La-Z-Boy, it is pouring money down the drain.

    This is the first La-Z-Boy purchase we made. Had a great experience with the sales rep at the gallery. He let me walk around the store, pick out what I wanted and didn't push anything. He just showed me what was available. We bought a power recliner, which my wife and I brought home (we live about 40 miles from the store and we didn't want to pay delivery fee) and set it up ourselves. Setting it up was really harder than they showed us and I thought it's probably a little bit easier than it was. But we finally figured it out. And now I'm using it, getting up and down with the buttons a lot, because you have to, to get out of the chair. So I'm hoping it will hold up. We did buy the extended warranty, so I've got no problem with that.

    Although I hated to pay that much for a chair, never paid that much for a chair in my life, I've decided that probably this would be the last chair that I would ever buy. At my age, that's what we're wanting, something that would hold up. So I don't feel too bad about it and that's the reason we decided to do La-Z-Boy, because the other chairs were not lasting and we wanted one that would last.

    So far I am pretty pleased with it. Me and my wife certainly didn’t leave the chair for two days! When one of my grand young ones come, they're gonna play with it. They're coming Thanksgiving and they're 8 and 10 so they're taking over. Especially with the button and all. My brother in-law is coming next weekend. And he's got a La-Z-Boy that he purchased, but it's too short. Your feet hang over the edge of it. When he sees this one, I know hes gonna want one. So I'll put him in this one. He's a little bit taller than I am but his feet will still work in this one really good.

    I originally purchased a sofa, loveseat and chair on 8/15/14 from a Houston, TX area store. I received the sofa & loveseat on 8/27/14. The chair would separate because it was upholstered, thus a "special order". I was notified the chair was ready to be picked up, but that I would have to pay an additional delivery fee (separate from the one I already paid for with the sofa and loveseat) so we decided we would trek across town and pick up the chair.

    On 9/29/14 we went to pick up the chair, however it was damaged so we called the store to discuss the matter and the sales rep was rude and stated that we would have to call customer service on Monday 9/29/14 because there was nothing they could do. So on 9/29/14 we called customer service and spoke to the manager of the Houston division explaining the situation and she is very condescending and rude; nothing at all what you would expect from a customer service manager. Nevertheless, she stated they would repair the chair and deliver it free of charge that upcoming Saturday.

    The day of delivery 10/4/14, we are waiting for our "repaired" chair to arrive and we receive a call from the sales rep stating that they are unable to deliver the chair because another leg is defective and they are going to have to order a whole new chair. At this point I'm not confident in the product and ask for my money back and I'm told that I'll having to pay for a restocking fee-why am I being punished here? So I call the Corporate Customer Service office in Michigan and receive and Reference/Case number and I'm told that someone from corporate will call me back.

    So on 10/7/14 the sales rep in Houston calls and tells me "our chair is ready and that they were looking at the wrong chair last time". That sounds very suspicious and convenient that they happened to be looking at the wrong chair right after I filed a complaint with corporate. I told the sales rep I was waiting on a return call from corporate before we took anything further.

    Well I called Corporate Customer Service on 10/4/14 and today is 10/13/14 and as expected no one has called me back. We called a few minutes ago and once again we're told someone will call us back.

    As it stands today I have no chair and no money. I feel uncomfortable with the craftsmanship of this chair having never taken possession of it and it's already had several issues, therefore I would just like my money back. This whole experience has been nothing but a catastrophe. I've never experienced such a failure of customer service at every level; and I hope that no one ever has to experience the turmoil we have been through.

    We purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner in December, 2011. We were told that the surface was leather. After about two years, we noticed flakes coming off the surface of the covering. It appears that the surface material actually consists of ground up leather glued to a fabric, which they call bonded leather, and the glue has failed in large areas. The recliner has been subjected to only normal use and has been cleaned only with a damp cloth. We contacted La-Z-Boy and sent them photos of the problem areas per their request. They refused to help because the recliner surface was warrantied for only one year. The photos show what the leather recliner looks like after 2-1/2 years.

    We had our furniture for several years and it just wore out. We were looking for something more quality related so we went to La-Z-Boy and purchased a sofa and a recliner. The sales representative at the gallery was good. I have a specific requirement for high back furniture so she had to sit down and test things out based on my height requirements. We picked out the stuff and the materials and it went really well. The quality is pretty good. There's a couple things that we're concerned about. One, the thinner recliner didn't come with the pole release. They sent out a warranty guy and he brought the pole but didn't bring the latch release. Then they shipped the part to the house and it was the wrong part. So I just got on the phone today with the warranty company, and they're sending up the correct part. The delivery team was great. They helped us move the old stuff out and their new stuff in. The only concern I have is about the center recliner and the left side recliner on the couch. They don't seem to be tight like the other two sides. The guy that came out to work on them tightened them up as much as they could as far as the latches go.

    I recently purchased a La-Z-Boy sofa and recliner for a new house. I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for five years but this recent experience really turned me off to the effect that I probably will never buy another La-Z-Boy product again. I didn't get what I was told was going to happen. They were supposed to give me and deliver an area rug at the same time that they delivered the furniture, and they did not. They forgot it. The other part that was bad was that the furniture had a tear on it and it took forever to get the furniture fixed, to get the thing taken care of. They tried to take the furniture and not fix it.     The furniture that we had was looking worn. So, we purchased a sofa, chairs and other accessories from La-Z-Boy. We actually went into another furniture store, but didn’t like their things. Then, we saw a print ad that showed more modern furniture from La-Z-Boy. So, I told my husband, “Before we go home, let’s just stop in and see if there was anything." We were pleasantly surprised by the modern selection of designs that La-Z-Boy had. Having a style that offered the convenience of raising your legs, and was modern and not bulky, made a big difference. Plus, we felt that the quality of the furniture was superior to what we had seen in neighboring department stores and other furniture galleries. Our interactions with the sales reps at the gallery were excellent, particularly the professionalism and aesthetic sensitivity of the salespeople at the local branch. It made a tremendous difference that they offered an interior decoration service where the person came out to your house.

    The other situation we had is that we live in Center City, Philadelphia. We don’t have furniture stores there that’s why we went across the river to New Jersey. The funny thing is when the La-Z-Boy deliverymen came in, they said to me, “We always like delivering furniture because people have smiles on their faces.” I thought that was so cute. We’re very, very happy. It means a lot when companies do a good job. Also, the fact that the goods are American is very important to us. All over, we’ve had an excellent experience with La-Z-Boy.

    I purchased a recliner in the Plymouth MA store. Mind you I was there several times before I made this purchase (A big purchase for us). I was helped each time I went in they were all very nice when they are trying to sell you something... Always ended up back at this recliner... It has 3 pillows on the back of it. I sat in it, I reclined it and sat for awhile...ordered it.

    Delivery truck called about 1/2 hr early. I called him back and said I was home if he wanted to come then. They were there in 5 min. Brought the chair in set it up. I signed a paper and before they were even out of my driveway I called the cell back... Driver did not pick up... When I sit in the recliner that was delivered my head falls between the top and middle pillow. This did not happen in the store... It was a Saturday delivery. I called Monday night and the first appt to get a tech out to my house was 3 weeks later.

    The tech came out and said the chair is in good working condition, I agree with this. But he also noted how my head falls between the pillows... He suggest I call the customer service Monday morning and they would have his report. I did just that. They told me I need to contact ** the store manager in Plymouth. Sooo I called her and she said she did not understand why I would be told this. It is customer service that I need to speak to... Right, great customer service..

    Finally I get a call from ** and she said that I could exchange the chair for equal or greater value but there is going to be another 79.99 charge for delivery. She would not budge. I asked if we could pick the chair up, she said that there is a 40.00 charge if we pick the chair up... She then said they will be coming to pick up the original recliner, just pay the 79.99 and have it delivered at that time... If I had thought about it, I would have said if they are coming for the original then just have them bring the new one... I was fuming...

    So I called customer service back again a couple of days later to talk to them about this second shipping charge and was told that because the chair is in good working condition and that it is a comfort issue, that is why I am paying the shipping again. She went on to tell me these chairs are all hand made therefore they may be different when they arrive to your home and as long they meet the specifications, it is a comfort issue... I asked for **'s boss and spoke to ** who was not nice. She kept talking over me just repeating it's a comfort issue.

    I think it needs to be explained before it's sold to you it may be different... Come on, my head didn't fall between the pillows in the store... So I very much doubt the specs are that close... I asked for **'s boss's name, she told me she is going to tell me the same thing. After my 3rd time requesting her boss's name, she told me "it is **, she is not here now and she won't be back until next Monday..." So tomorrow I am going to La-Z-Boy to do my exchange... As I explained to them my last set was La-Z-Boy... My mom's set is La-Z-Boy... This will be my last La-Z-Boy and I will be spreading the word.

    I've recently purchased a sectional, ottoman chair and other accessories from La-Z-Boy for remodeling. The representative was awesome. She was creative and very eager to helps us pick out our designs. The quality of the furniture is very good and they're very comfortable. Cost is not bad. It seems pretty competitive. I thought it was a little crazy but it's really comfortable. It's really nice so I can't really complain about it. But we opted for delivery and it took over 6 months to get our furniture so we were extremely unhappy and we will probably never buy from them again. It was numerous phone calls, letter to the Better Business Bureau and the whole thing. I was very, very frustrated.

    Once I called the corporate office, the girl said that there wasn't anything she could do and she would follow up with the sales representative and she did. We were relieved that the next day someone called us back and worked out a delivery. It took some complaining and some letter writing which was pretty frustrating but after, I guess maybe it fell in the hands of the right person. It was kind of brutal but then the salesperson was great. I know it wasn't her fault but she got involved with finding out what was going on and they worked it out. It was tough. I love the furniture but I would probably never recommend again. It was so frustrating. I can't imagine being that frustrated again over furniture.

    In June 2014 we purchased 3 Rowan style recliners. 2 of the recliners, which are in the same room are the XR remote and one is manual in a different house.. All 3 chairs have the upgraded cushion and upgraded fabric. Before we made the final purchase we went online to view the video description of the PowerRecliners especially the XR which is remote. The video on www.lazyboy.com and Lazy Boy brochures clearly state that the back and leg rest operate independently.

    On the remote handset it shows the 2 different functions with 2 separate buttons, working independent of each other or a button to use both functions together. They do not work independently. The leg rest rises about half way and then the back starts to recline. You cannot sit upright in these chairs with the leg rest up, parallel to the floor as showed on the remote, video and brochure. The whole chair actually moves upward and back if you want to raise your feet past the halfway point. The video and diagram show the independent function for back and feet with the side of the chair remaining even with the floor. This is not what our chairs do.

    In the store are examples of every recliner. We sat in many of them. During this whole time no one alerted us that these chairs do not function like the other 8 chairs we previously purchased. The chairs are displayed in rows, back to back or up against a wall or furniture in the showroom. Extending most of the sample chairs to full position requires moving the chairs out of the row. No one offered to do this and we didn't know the chairs' functions are misrepresented. Had we known the extreme difference we would not have bought these chairs.

    I have a lower back problem that kicks in within seconds of sitting in a reclining position with my lower body angled in a sitting position, with my feet higher than my lower body. Most of the time I sit straight up with my feet up. If you wish to have your feet up and back slightly reclining, you will realize that you will have to tilt your chin/head forward in order to see the TV. Full recline moves the bottom front of the chair up. The leg and footrest absolutely do not work independently.

    2 of the chairs are in the same room divided by a table. Both are not set straight in the cradle. The back cushion is divided by a row of stitching from left to right in the middle of the cushion. There is a 1 1/2" difference in the angle of the stitching from left to right on one of the chairs. The customer service representative who came to our home said that is acceptable workmanship. It looks ridiculous. He offered to put more padding on one side to cover the stitching. This would mean sitting with one side of my back more forward than the other and it still would not correct the stitching mistake.

    Next the difference between 3 chairs that are the same model, except 2 have remote and 1 is a different fabric. The third chair has much more soft padding in the top of the back which brings the back cushion of the chair higher. This is not a problem. The cushions on the 2 other chairs are much stiffer and not as comfortable. The cushions/padding was supposed to be the same on all 3 chairs. I wish they had padded the 2 chairs with the same padding as the one chair at the other home.

    The chairs were ordered and paid in full on June 11, 2014. The invoice states that custom orders will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. These chairs arrived September 22, 2014, 15 weeks later, the day before we were going on vacation. I called Lazy boy as soon as we returned and was told to call customer service. Customer service sent someone out 10 days later. Lazy boy has lost a very good patron who spent over $3500.00 foolishly on 3 products that do not meet the claims of the company. We have bought 8 Lazy Boy chairs over the years, not including these last 3 mistakes. Don't buy and pay extra for the PowerRecline, it does not function the way they claim and their workmanship is unacceptable.

    For 14 months I had a place to rest on those days that my knee and back pain were stabbing through my body. Sept 24th as I was sitting (in the recliner) and using the control to close it (return to neutral position) the foot rest power extender broke (causing the foot rest to fall) giving me a horrible jolt and a broken recliner.

    Called the store to discuss what actions could be taken, customer help desk (Gainesville, Virginia store) was very nice looking up when recliner was purchased (May 2013) and the extended guarantee we had purchased. She provided Ultra Shield's free 800 phone number and sale ticket number in case Ultra Shield needed it. I called Ultra Shield, was again lucky getting a helpful person on the phone, who even called the La-Z-Boy store up to get info from them on this recliner.

    My problem is getting someone out here to fix the recliner and I am still not sure if we have to pay for this repair or not. My husband and I looked under the recliner, saw the broken piece so we know a part is needed. By my look at the calendar it has been just under two weeks since I requested (Ultra Shield phone call) a service person come out here (to the home). The first service person appointment (for last Thursday) was cancelled the day before and now we have an appointment scheduled for between 8am-6pm tomorrow (Oct 7th) (really you expect us to be sitting here all day waiting on this service person!).

    I have the service claim ticket number (**), have called Ultra Shield twice today (have not been able to get through or get a return call from them). My question is will a service person be showing up here tomorrow and at what time??? And I have been informed once the part is order, after it arrives here at the house we have to go through this waiting on a traveling service repair person to fit us into their schedule.

    My complaint --- this recliner will be broken 6-8 weeks at the minimum before it is fixed and I was told the cost of this service and part may not be covered!!! Odd that wasn't explained to us at the store when we were considering quite a bit of money to purchase the extended warranty.

    We have purchase a new recliner from the Strongsville Oh. Store. When it was delivered the power supply cord had been severed, so the delivery men contacted the store and they advised the men to return it to Columbus for repairs. We did not have an issue with this, we do however have an issue when the company rep. tells us one week for repairs, and we do not hear from them for two weeks. We waited two weeks then contacted the store and they told us they would get back to us which never happened.

    This is where the disappointment begins. I personally drove to the store and spoke to a salesperson who at first could not locate our chair in the system. Finally she told me it had just been repaired and she would schedule delivery. When I called to set up a delivery date for this Thursday 10/09/14 the salesperson told me she would have someone call me back in ten minutes, because she did not have the skill set or resources to set up deliveries. Well it's now Monday and I am back on my way to the store to attempt to track down and set up a delivery of the chair - our chair which by the way was paid in full. Terrible customer service. BUYER BEWARE.

    Buyers beware.....just because it is La-Z-Boy does not mean it is quality. My raisin colored sofa transfers color onto light clothing!! Getting the run around from customer care as well as the Mentor location. They did tell me they would replace the sofa. However, each and every one of their red/maroon/plum fabric swatches transferred color onto my white towel. Now mind you if I want to spend an additional $400 or $500 I may be able to get a sofa that is not defective. Very unsatisfied with the entire process. The manager at the Mentor location doesn't seem to want to be bothered by this. Perhaps she is solely commission driven. Very sad since this was a purchased I was thrilled with and thought I was getting the best of the best.

    In the past, I have paid around $400.00 for recliners. I chose to move up in quality and comfort, so I thought, by purchasing a $1200.00 Lazy Boy Recliner. What a false impression I had. Lazy Boy is very uncomfortable; it wobbles; and it's plain poor quality. The leather has faded. They also had to replace the foot rest. The arm of the chair had to be filled. They said I had to pay $75.00 to have the head rest fixed again.     I bought this chair, and other furniture in 2-8-2012 and it wasn't long before it started to crack and then flake. I reported this to the dealer where I bought this sometime around end of the year 2012. No I didn't write down the date so I guess I made that mistake by not reporting directly to La-Z-Boy myself. I finally sent pics to the dealer, then they said it was too late. Then I sent pics to La-Z-Boy also and they took the dealer's side. This chair is now 2 years old and looks like this. Unusable!

I did like where they came in and did the design of our living room with the pieces we were interested in to see how it would look, and with different colors. Everything's good except for one rug that has a bunch or ripples in it. It won't seem to go out. But I talked to the gallery and they're supposed to exchange it and call when the other one comes in. I just didn't ask how long that takes. I definitely recommend it to friends. I've told a lot of people where we've gotten our furniture.

    I bought a Laz-Boy recliner over 5 years ago. The warranty has expired. The vibration and warmer feature quit working one day and I contacted Laz-Boy to initiate repairs. They don't have a shop in the Fredericksburg, VA area so a technician would have to be scheduled to come to my home to make the repairs. The woman I made the home appointment with assured me that the tech would have the parts on hand to make the repairs for the problem that I described. I had to take a day of leave from work to be here for the technician. I'm widowed and live by myself. Technician only inspected the chair and said he would have to order parts. I told him what the service writer told me and he grinned and said, "No, we don't carry parts like this".

    He told me the parts would be ordered, I would have to pay for them, then the service desk would call me back to make another appointment. Parts are ordered, I pay for them by credit card. I get a call back a few days later that the parts are in and an appointment is made. I take another day off work to be here for repair. Technician shows up, without the parts. He said the parts should have been shipped directly to me. He calls the service desk. Parts hadn't been ordered for my ticket number. Two days of vacation spent waiting for repairs by Laz-Boy because they can't get their internal affairs in order. I will be very surprised if this review is actually posted.

    I was dissatisfied with their suppliers in terms of the ability to get the things to them. It took them many months to get the rug and things like that but it wasn't their fault, I'm not blaming La-Z-Boy. It was the rug that they recommended and I picked out that was one in great demand throughout the country, so it took a long time to get it. Overall it was a good experience with La-Z-Boy, no problems. I really like that at the store I went to they have an in-house interior decorator and he was very talented and made a presentation to me and my lady. He came to my brand new townhouse in Alexandria, Virginia and had some ideas and I followed through. The result was spectacular. It was very cool that they provided that service without charge.

    We purchased two leather rocker recliners less than 3 years ago. We were guaranteed they would last for "30 years". They were great at first and for the first time my back was pain free. In six months or so the cushions began to collapse and later they were horrible. We mentioned to the salesperson who said some collapse is normal and there really isn't much we can do. Needless to say we are looking for new chairs and not at LB. We had purchased two leather sofas at the same time. Shame on us.

It took me a while to talk to the right people, but I ended up with a person who took care of everything for me.     We bought a new all leather La-Z-Boy recliner that is killing my back. The company was very good responding to our complaint about the torturous chair. But they finally admitted they could do nothing to fix the problem as the frame came from China. The problem is a lower back brace that rises up as you recline, right into your back. It seems the Chinese frame is a redesign of the old style La-Z-Boy recliner. It is all one piece and can't be adjusted. They finally admitted they could do nothing to fix the problem. We were just stuck with an extremely tortuous and expensive chair. Also the foot rest has already worn through to the solid surface below the deep red leather and had to be fixed. The leather seat is crazing and cracking as if it had been attacked by an angry cat. We own no cats. This chair is only 1 1/2 years old and the problems started as soon as we bought the recliner.

    We've repainted the house and my couch that I had before was getting old so we decided to update our furniture and purchased a new sectional, sleeper sofa and other accessories from La-Z-Boy. The sales rep that we got was amazing. She helped us design and choose colors. She was very patient and nice. The guys who delivered the bed were awesome as well.

    I like the products that they offer. We particularly like the comfort of the sofa, the recliner and sleeper sofas which is why we needed to go back to La-Z-Boy. It's nice because you can customize a lot of the things like choosing your own material and the placing around the chairs, pillows so you get the best of both worlds because it's designer but at the same token it's comfortable = FUNCTIONAL.

    It's not the cheapest furniture price-wise but it's not ridiculously expensive.

    I purchased a new recliner from La-Z-Boy because I wore the other one out. The sales representative that I talked to at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very good and let us look around. We looked at several recliners, but finally my wife liked the one we bought because of the color. It matches the area we were gonna put the chair in the first place. There was no problem with the delivery. They told us when it was gonna be there and it was there; it came the day they said. The delivery men were in and out in about six or seven minutes and I was really surprised. So far, the recliner's been great. It seems to be holding up real well. I spend 4-6 hours in it everyday. Sometimes I have to throw somebody out of it so I can get in. It's my chair! Everybody who has seen it and sat in it thinks it's very good.

    I never knew or expected Lazy Boy would treat me this way. I spent over 1200 on a hide-a-bed couch and was told that if anything happened I lived in a serviceable area. It turns out I do not live in a serviceable area and they are unwilling to find anyone to come and fix my couch that is defective. They told me I should drive 3 hours and bring it back to the store and then they would use their discretion as to whether or not they would fix anything. Also it would be to their satisfaction not mine. My mother spent quite a bit of money. I know Lazy Boy leather recliner. The leather is so thin that after mild use the leather is wearing away. Please keep in mind that this is a woman who is over 60 years old and the chair is not in a household with children or rough housing. We are very disappointed with the quality summer service and pricing. Even if Lazy Boy were to refund our money we would never buy another Lazy Boy product ever again, ever.

    When I walked in to the La-Z-Boy store, the lady there was very helpful. I was having a hard time making up my mind and she suggested that I get a decorator come out, and so we did that. She did a great job. I liked the thing she picked out, so then I had her pick me out a bedroom suite. I really liked that. So my experience there was great. Loved the bedroom suite, one of my chairs in the living room. The only thing I don't like is that the couch cushion go down when you sit on the couch, like I sat on one end and when I stand up, where I was sitting, the couch cushion is down. So I was pretty shocked that that happened with La-Z-Boy because it didn't ever happen on my cheap furniture from Ashley. And the guys that delivered were great, they were all very nice, so I didn't have any problems at all. Everything came sooner than expected and the people that delivered were great. Different people both times but they were really nice.

    The one thing that really got me about that store is the friendliness. When I was there looking at what Tiffany had laid out for me to purchase, this guy walked in. You could tell he was mentally retarded. They all greeted him by name and he greeted them back by name. Tiffany said, "He comes in here once a month and he looks at everything and then he leaves." It just gave me chills that day how nice they were to him. I thought that was one of the neatest things that I have ever seen in a store. I have told many people that story, and everybody loves it. I had been there three times and I had nothing but good experience as a whole.

    When my husband and I purchased a couch and chaise lounge from La-Z-Boy back on July 5th, we were very satisfied by the customer service we received and we both planned on making future purchases with La-Z-Boy. The sales representative that worked with us was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately our opinion about the store changed after we made our purchase. We were told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to receive our couch. After 6 weeks went by, my husband called to inquire about the couch and was told that the fabric we chose had to be special ordered and this was causing a little bit of a delay.

    I wish someone would have called to let us know this before we called ourselves. That delay ended up being at least 4 additional weeks and we still never received any follow-up calls, my husband had to call again to inquire what was taking so long. My husband never received an apology or anything for these delays. The couch finally arrived on September 23rd. When the staff member called to let us know it arrived, again there was no apology or anything for their lack of communication and/or this long delay.

    In my opinion, the sales representative who worked with us quite extensively to design our couch probably should have been the one to call us - I'm sure she would have been more pleasant to speak with anyway. I think La-Z-Boy has some great products and design choices but I'm afraid this experience has really sullied my opinion of their customer service as they really only seem to have any when they are trying to sell you something - after that purchase is made, however, that customer service declines drastically.

    La-Z-Boy customer service is good but we got some really, really poor quality control going on some stuff, as far as checking the furniture over before you deliver it or put it in the truck or when you unpack it. We had a few problems with some of the furniture being either cracked or scratched up real bad. We got a screw missing in one of our pieces of furniture we got and we haven't gotten the issue resolved yet. The quality control is not there for some reason.

It was a little bit a higher priced than what we have bought in the past but we've been looking to do that for a reason; to get better quality and longevity out of the furniture.     I've had a La-Z Boy for 12 years and then I went and bought another one. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. However the one I bought didn't fit me. I've had 5 neck operations, I had to have one that fit me, so I took it back and they took it back. I was very happy about that. They treated me very well. The sales associates were great. They were good people. I cannot complain about them. The only thing I didn't like is they charge you to bring that chair to the store. I don't agree with them charging $50 to have that chair brought to the store.

    We've had La-Z-Boy before so when we sold our home with the furniture in it and moved into our condo and we needed some furniture, we bought another La-Z-Boy. The sales rep, Leslie, was a swell lady. She was wonderful. Very helpful and suggesting different things that we might need and said that if we needed her to give us ideas, if we needed any other furnitures, maybe she could help us out. She has done very well. What we looked at was fine but we haven’t picked it up yet because of the renovation we’re doing. And she was kind enough to hang on to it until we can have it brought in. The sales people seemed very pleasant and they're very nice and we're very very pleased. I also think the quality of the furniture is very very good.     I had a La-Z-Boy style of furniture and it was getting old. I decided that I needed another one so I purchased a recliner from Lazy Boy. The sales rep, Charles was a really wonderful young man. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted the leather or the cloth and I go in the store and try and Charles told me that I can change my mind. Although I don't remember him giving me a time like if it could only be 3 days or 3 weeks or whatever.

    By the time I decided the leather might be a little cold in the winter for me, with the cooler weather coming on, I would then like the cloth.... when I went in and explained it, he said, no I couldn't. I was a little annoyed with that. I honestly considered even canceling the sale and whatever they charge me from canceling it. It was better than actually being unhappy with the $1,300 or $1,100 or whatever it was. But anyway, I just went through with it and except for that I was very happy with La-Z-Boy.

    Prior to purchasing I explained I had purchased La-Z-Boy furniture almost 25 years ago. I was trying to decide whether to have the furniture recovered or purchase new. The sales people assured me the quality was even better now and that recovering would not be a good option. I purchased a Lancer Reclina-Rocker on January 21, 2014. I received the chair on March 20, 2014. In June the evaluator stated the chair needs some upholstery work and would have someone call to make an appointment for the repair folks. They state they cannot do anything about the loud clanging noise the chair makes when taken out of the reclining mode. On August 12, 2014, the repair people showed up and after working for an hour or so realized he could not repair the chair in the 2 hours he had been allotted. He said someone would call to make another appointment. I was subsequently told repair people would be out the week of September 15, 2014. I called today, the 16th, to see when they were coming and was told September 23, on which I already have two other appointments. Now I'm told they cannot come until October 7. I want the chair replaced or my money refunded.

    I have bought many chairs, etc. in the past from La-Z-Boy and have always been very satisfied until our last purchase. We purchased (at the Katy,Tex. store) a recliner with two other chairs and after a few months with little use, the leather has began to separate from the backing in several places. We have no children or pets. We called once and we're told there would be an $80.00 charge to come out. We thought we could try to fix it ourselves but before we tried there were more places. We called back and was told it would not be covered after October (one year warranty). The recliner is clearly defective and we would like a replacement instead of patching it until the warranty expires. We buy from La-Z-Boy because of the brand and thought you stand by your product. Someone is coming out to evaluate the recliner. I hope you will stand behind your warranty so we will not have a defective leather after the one year warranty expires. Waiting to hear from you.

    We used the in-home design service offered by La-Z-Boy because we were told by the sales staff that they would do an in house assessment to ensure the furniture fit in our basement. After measuring our basement and hallway/entry ways on the first occasion we were told that only 1 couch configuration (sectional) would fit which was outside of the budget we told them. After some thinking we did like the sofa and decided to go into the showroom to see what else was in the design plan only to find out that the salesman who was helping us "left the company".

    We asked for another opinion and another representative came out to measure the same thing but this time we were told we could have any couch configuration. We selected our original desire for 2 couches vs. a sectional and were told that it would only cost 180 each couch to take the arms off and have them reassembled if by chance it didn't fit... although they had our measurements. We were fine with that since this option was our first and it was still ~1000 cheaper than the sectional. But when the couches arrived (on the wrong delivery day without notice) it was apparent to the delivery team that it was impossible to get the couches down and that the recommendation was only to get a sale. The couches were supposed to be left in the garage and a person was to come over do the dismantle and reassemble, but instead they took the couches back to the warehouse.

    After numerous calls back and forth, a second delivery team came to deliver the now dismantled couches - not at all just the arms. They again were shocked that anyone would have recommend they would fit down the stairs! Down to the bare wood, the sofas just fit down the stairs and now we are told that the assembly would cost more and that we had to pay cash or no one was coming out! We called the customer service hotline and they thought that sounded strange but put us right back into contact with the store again and when I ask why we had to pay in cash, the salesman became extremely frustrated with me and said that he was just a salesman and didn't know why. To be honest, I should have reviewed the in-home design policy because I believe since the store representatives came out to measure twice, there should have been some better disclosure.

    In the end, out of discomfort, we paid the store via credit card (not comfortable with the cash exchange) but the salesman actually came to our house to pay a supposed La-Z-Boy employee cash! (Who is this guy right?!) When you're left with a dismantled couch in the basement of your house, you feel left with little choice but to get it put back together. For a large organization, the processes in place left little faith as a consumer that you are getting a straight answer from anyone (expect for the very nice delivery team). I really hope the product itself will make us satisfied but it will be the only purchase we make again from La-Z-Boy due to the poor experience we had. I wish I had read the reviews first as the company doesn't have a great track record and social media is now a very real voice to be heard. If the Lazy Boy management reads this, I urge them to put some focus into training their staff.

    This one is my third chair. My wife and I both have chairs and we decided that we wanted to change the color scheme. We were tired of the older colors so we went in and picked out what we needed or wanted. They ordered them and called us when they came in. Delivery team was very good. They bring the stuff in, unpack it, set it up and make sure everything is okay before they leave. The manager at the Jensen Beach place is very good. He helped us a whole lot. Everything was satisfactory.

    I've owned La-Z-Boy since 1962. The cost of the furniture is in line with the quality. I have no problems with the quality and always had good luck with La-Z-Boy.

    Do Not Buy from this company! They have an unheard of three (3) day warranty which is worthless. Our recliner couch quality that we purchased was nothing like their floor model. They have refused to replace this piece of junk with another New couch. Our had broken parts, squeaky parts and rattles in it including poor padding in the cushions, seats and arms with all kinds of material flaws. All they offered to do is rebuild our couch in our home by shipping huge boxes of parts to our home and then send a repairman out to install them. We were ending up with a rebuilt couch not a New couch that we purchased. Also, the replacement parts come without the "Scotchgard" stain and dirt repellent protection service we chose to pay extra for upon purchase. I emailed and talked with their home office numerous times over a three (3) month period to get a new couch replacement without any chance of success. There were no remorse or concern for our $2,000.00 purchase we paid for with our 2012 Income Tax return money. If you don't contact them within their three (3) day warranty period you have no chance of quality help. Don't make the mistake we made and buy from this company. Save yourself the headaches we went through.

    I was so excited the day I found my furniture in your La-Z-Boy showroom. It took a full 12 weeks to get it - off of the slow boat from China that is! When we purchased our furniture 5 years ago for $6300.00 I told the salesman we wanted the exact furniture we were sitting on (which I assumed was top grade leather)! We were charged the amount listed on the showroom pieces but we did not receive what we wanted. The invoice only listed numbers. I clarified with him several times that we were getting the exact same as what was on the floor that we were sitting on. Never once did he discuss that we would be getting bonded leather and not real leather. I know the difference between REAL leather and bonded leather. We ordered an orange colored REAL solid leather set - 6 pieces too ... what we received? Bonded crappy brown leather... it's all worn off - the chair started to wear off within the first 3 months. I called the store and they informed me there was nothing they could do.

    I tried to deal with the store and was continually told we got what we ordered... We did NOT and I will never be happy with it as long as it is in my house. Unfortunately the crappy worn furniture is too expensive to replace anytime soon so I will continue to 'share' our story with each person that we have over and advise them not to buy from Lazy-boy as you don't get what you order or what you pay for!

    Just so you are aware - I have ordered 2 different orders of Palliser movie theater furniture in top grade leather since and have received exactly what I have ordered... I know what I want and like, my La-Z-Boy is not it! :( I have pictures of the furniture we choose in the showroom (picture 1-P1000430) and what we receive (picture 2-P1000629).     I would like to say first of all, that I have never in over 60 years written a complaint, or anything of that nature. But, my experience with Lazy Boy is the worst experience I have ever had with any company/as a customer in my entire life!!! The past 8 months have been a complete nightmare, so stressful, frustrating and a huge waste of time, energy and money that I already can not afford to spare!! My husband and I had been in need of new living room furniture for years but we knew we would be downsizing our home in the foreseeable future and we wanted to be absolutely sure that what we purchased would fit and look nice in our final home, so we waited 7 years, knowing that at our age, our next purchase would be our last.

    We moved into our new home just before Thanksgiving 2014 and hoped to be able to get den furniture in about a year. But things changed due to my father's recent passing from cancer and I received a small amount of cash from his estate. My husband and I decided then to go ahead and shop for the furniture we needed. Even though my dad did not live to see it, he had been very excited about our move to Baldwin County and it made us feel that he was a part of it. So, we decided to visit your store in Spanish Ft. Alabama. On my first visit there, I was greeted by **. I told him what I was looking for and that besides the convenient location, I heard they had a decorator.

    The way living room is structured, I knew I would need help in picking out furniture that would fit and work with that room. He told me he would get with the decorator and set up a time for the two of them to come out to my house to look and take measurements. WEEKS later they did that, they took measurements of the entire area and the decorator took notes about everything including the measurements, colors & pieces she thought I would need to furnish the den. It took WEEKS again for her to come up with a plan and I went to look at the suggestions. I seemed to like everything but I did tell them that it would be difficult to make a decision based of Photos of fabric and furniture. ** assured me that if the pieces did not work for any reason, they could be switched out for something else.

    After WEEKS again, the first piece, a double recliner came in and it looked as though it had been made by an amateur!! In addition the fabric was inferior. When I told Mat I wanted to exchange it, he stated there would be a $400 "restocking fee"!!! I told him, "Mat, you wouldn't have this piece of furniture in your house and neither would the decorator." In the end, he took the charge off. They sent a temporary recliner out due to my husband recovering at home from back surgery. I have copies of all of the emails I resorted to because for the most part, phone calls did not get returned!! I would be happy to supply these to someone from Lazy Boy and perhaps that will allow you to somewhat grasp the degree of frustration I have experienced going back and forth trying to get our den furniture and then trying to place it to make it fit and functional, the way ** said she had designed it for us.

    But, no matter how we arranged it, it was too crowed, the tables did not work with the sofa and recliners and my living room is just clustered with furniture that looks horrible and can barely walk in and out of the room without tripping or falling it. The couch I picked out, I sat on in the showroom floor and it was very firm and comfortable. However the couch they sent me is HORRIBLE!! Every time someone sits in the cushions slide out, you sink down and crooked into the couch, it is beyond uncomfortable. The only way we have been able to sit on the couch is by my husband putting flat pieces of plywood under the cushions for support. There was also a tear in the fabric on the back corner of the couch and I kept getting the runaround from the store about getting some one to fix it. That never happened either.

    The tables the decorator suggested were not in the store to view in person so I had to go by a photo. And here AGAIN, the day I ordered ** told me that if they did not work out that we could exchange them. I trusted that the decorator chose the correct size tables for our living room and that it would all come together once all pieces were delivered. The tables were the last to come in and only then did we know for sure the furniture could not be placed according to the plan the decorator had drawn, nor in any other way that we tried. I have been told my ** that nothing can be done because our pieces are "special order", to which I responded, "Everything in your store has to be ordered because you do not have furniture in stock. Is that our fault?"

    Here is the bottom line, we waited for years to buy furniture because we wanted it to be special and right for our home. It was purchased with money my father left me and what I thought would bring joy has brought heartache. Once during this process my husband said, "Gwen, why don't you just cancel the whole thing and go somewhere else for you furniture?! This is ridiculous!" I never stopped believing that each incident was just someone having a bad day and that surely it was all going to come together soon. All of the furniture is cheaply made. It is NOT the same as on the showroom floor. It is horribly uncomfortable and has made a mess of my living room. So, here we are stuck with a living room full of furniture that does not fit, is very cheaply made and uncomfortable after spending A LOT of money! And to think this is what I have to show for what my sweet father left me...

    I have cried my eyes out about this situation. We are not young anymore (my husband will soon turn 69 and I will soon be 65) and are in the beginning phases of retiring. We most certainly will never be able to afford new furniture again. We are very average people who made a very bad decision about "where" to buy our furniture. We have now been in our home 9 months and other than our children have done no entertaining. Lastly, when ** came out again recently, I told her about every issue with the furniture. She said she would let ** know & that he would let me know what, if anything could be done. She was here 2 weeks ago on a Friday and by Thursday of the NEXT WEEK, I had heard nothing so I emailed **. The next morning I had an email from ** saying nothing had changed & we could not return the tables, (much less the other furniture).

    If you knew us, you would know how hard that has been and how very disappointed we are. We are not materialistic people but the one thing in our world we were the proudest of is our home. A home is where you bring together the people you love, to celebrate life and for the most part, we have missed out on that for the past 9 months that we have been in our new home. I have been going back and forth with Lazy Boy for 8!! EIGHT solid months!! It took MONTHS to even get my furniture in to behind with!! I can't take this anymore and it needs to be MADE RIGHT!!! What Lazy Boy has put me and my husband though is AWFUL and y'all should be SO ASHAMED!!

    What we want is a FULL REFUND and take all of this furniture back, which is hard for me to even say because that means we will have to start over somewhere else. Yet it is the only option we have to fix the problem. Fall is just around the corner and is our favorite time of the year. We very much want to have this behind us, so that our new house can finally begin to feel and become the home it should have been a long time ago. My husband and I DESERVE and we WILL take this as far as we need to go, until it is made right. We would VERY MUCH appreciate a speedy resolution to this matter.

    We purchased our sectional recliners 3 years ago. Even though we supposedly got the fabric treatments on all pieces, they look like they are 30 years old instead of 3. The foam is misshapen and collapsing, the fabric is dingy. Nothing has been spilled, this is just dingy from daily sitting. You can feel the structure through the foam in places. I had always wanted a real La-Z-Boy because of the quality. What happened!?!?! When you pay thousands of dollars for a living room set, you expect it to look decent for more than a few months.

    I saved for over a year to buy a recliner. I went to La-Z-Boy because I didn't want to be bilked. I spent all afternoon and found one small enough to fit in my small apartment. After it arrived, I found that it sits up at will. I recline, and when I least expect it, it just sits up. It throws out my back when it does so. I called La-Z-Boy and they tried to get me to adjust it by turning it over. When I said that I couldn't tip the chair, they sent someone out to adjust it. However, when he arrived, he just shook his head and said that the model I have has no adjustment feature. I called and customer service spend more time explaining their return policy to me than trying to help. She says that the chair is functioning as designed and even implied that it is my fault for having selected that model of chair. She said that my weight shifts and sets the chair up. It is not, according to her, a defect and I am stuck with the chair. I don't know what is more upsetting - the chair that I cannot sit in - the fact that I cannot afford another chair - the injury to my back - or the insult of being cheated by a firm that was supposedly trustworthy.
