I moved the La-Z-Boy furniture that I purchased 10 years ago to a different room though it still looks fabulous and there is no wear. And since I wanted a new look in my living room I purchased loveseats and a chair from them again. My interaction with their sales reps at the gallery was absolutely wonderful.

I downsized my house so I needed to purchase new furniture. I decided to buy from La–Z–Boy. I've had no problem with the sofa, but I have problems with the sofa pillow buttons coming off. I called them and it took about four weeks to get one button. In the meantime two other buttons came off. Now I have to wait for another four to six weeks to get other two buttons. I was concerned. I told them I thought that was entirely too long to get buttons to go on a pillow. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

The store manager was unable to locate the tables in any of the company warehouses and it was decided to cancel that order and refund the money. She was able to get a replacement lamp for the defective one. It is just a shame that the inaction of one sales person can lead to such frustration.

We bought furniture in Feb 15, took 8 weeks to be make and delivered, which is standard. We received the majority of the furniture on time and there was nothing wrong. In fact, we love it. What we did not get was the end tables and one lamp was defective. Fast forward 6 weeks, and we have still not received the end tables and trying to get the sales person to let us know the status has proven to be the most frustrating part of this ordeal. She will call to let me know she doesn't know anything and always says that she will call back, which she does not do. I get that they are busy, but follow up is part of the customer service process.
I sent a complaint to what I thought was corporate La-Z-boy, but it was the wrong department. They forwarded it to the Pensacola Store. Still waiting to hear from someone. The furniture is great, will never complain about that. It is the sales person and the management that is in need of remedial customer service training. So far, there are no consequences except I have paid for two tables and a lamp that are "somewhere" and at this point, I'm not sure I'll ever get them. Very disappointed in my La-Z-boy experience.

My parents have had La-Z-Boy for as long as I can remember so I trusted the brand. We really needed new sofas for the living room so I purchased new furniture from them. We love the experience and the items will last us a long time.

Our other stuff was worn out so I had to buy new furniture. We’ve had furniture from La-Z-Boy that lasted for seven years so I bought a power recliner and sofa from them. From the sales rep, delivery, and quality... everything's good.

We purchased a Big-Boy La-Z-Boy recliner in January 2014, it was a special order with the fabric we picked out, and one of their most expensive chairs. We waited 8 weeks to receive, took delivery in late February of 2014. We also purchased a 3-year extended service warranty. The chair was always extremely tight to try to recline and release. In February of 2015 the lever mechanism broke, which when we turned over the chair noticed this had plastic parts. My husband went to the store to try to order parts as they told him that would be the fastest way. The parts took approximately a month to come in and they were the wrong parts. Finally after weeks of calling we had a service tech to come to the house in late May to access the problem with the chair. He order parts and said as soon as they come in you will need to set up another appointment to schedule someone to come out.
We received two screws in the mail on June 16 with an invoice which was not what was supposed to have been ordered. It was supposed to have been a swing arm part that was needed. Today I've been on the phone for hours and have made 7-8 calls trying to get some resolution. Had the Texas Customer Service call me and give me the number for the Home Office Customer Service, when I called them they said they couldn't help me to call this other number, it was the same number I had spoken to earlier. Total run around on a cheaply made product. Chair is still broke with no hope of getting it repaired anytime soon. Never will we buy La-Z-Boy product again.

My experience with La-Z-Boy so far has been good. We had a very nice salesperson, ** over at the store in Springfield. We got what we wanted and it was delivered by two very professional men who knew what they were doing. I have since ordered pillows to be made. I’m waiting for them to come in at the end of the month. So far so good. I’m very happy with the furniture and ** even came out because she’s the decorator for that store. There wasn't too much she could help me with, but she did give me some ideas for some window treatment and where to purchase shades. Right now, I would recommend La-Z-Boy to anybody who asks me if they should consider getting their furniture there. There is one thing that needs to be improved. The website’s really hard to maneuver. We couldn't get into what we wanted right away. It just took a long time.

The people at La-Z-Boy seemed to be very knowledgeable regarding the product. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy from them because I got a deal that I couldn’t refuse. However, what I bought was a lot less than La-Z-Boy because La-Z-Boy has a very high quality product.

My husband and I went to the Greenville, SC store in April of 2015 to purchase a new living room set. We decided to buy a couch, chair, love seat and ottoman. Our purchase was made and we went to pick it up only to find the couch was torn and the extra fabric we ordered was the wrong color. We still have a torn couch arm and finally got the right color of fabric after many, many, many calls! The salesperson did not and still has not kept us up to date on the process!

Our other recliner chairs were not giving my husband the lumbar support, so I bought the La-Z-Boy recliner as well as a table. Both furniture have been really nice. But the thing is, my husband and I don't like the remote. It takes forever to get it down to a level where we can get up and I can't make it go to where it was last when I sit back down on it - we've had to press the remote this way and that. I wouldn't have gotten the remote if I would've realized it. Another thing is that it's got a lot of cords. My two La-Z-Boys are in the middle of the room so now I have these lumps of wires that you can't stick under the furniture because it will crimp off. I know La-Z-Boy is a good company and I guess my husband and I just didn't do our homework as far as the particular furniture we got from them. The quality of the furniture is nice, though. The lumbar and the back does its job.

I've been looking for new sofa, a loveseat and chair and finally found one - a sofa that fits me and the fabric that I like - at La-Z-Boy. I have a saleslady and an interior designer that came out at the house, and they've been really good. I like the quality, however, I'm terribly upset with the upholstery job. I've already filed a complaint about it and emailed them all the information and the photos Monday or Tuesday. So I believe to hear from them and see what's going to happen and what they’re going to do. But I'd recommend La-Z-Boy. A friend actually recommended them and she bought furniture from them several times. I've always liked her furniture so I don't have any problem recommending them too.

I always had La-Z-Boy recliners in the past. Probably 3 or 4 of them. I was happy with each one. My wife and I retired our living room set and went straight to the La-Z-Boy showroom. We decided to spend the money and get a leather love seat and recliner vs. the fabric ones we had in the past. On delivery, Love Seat was torn on the side. Recliner was fine. A short time after the second love seat was delivered, the back of the frame broke. A couple repair visits and it was fixed. The recliner though, at about 8 months of ownership started showing wear on the armrests and on the front edges of the armrests. No way it would last years without looking terrible. I called customer service and sent them pictures as requested. They claimed it was not a warranty issue and I should follow the care and cleaning instructions for the product.
It was inferred that maybe my hands are dirty, which is far from the truth as I was them dozens of times in a given day and do not work with any type of solvents or chemicals. They finally decided to replaced the chair sides as a "courtesy". Repair person said had he inspected it first, he would have ordered a backrest (same type of wear behind the head area) and the recliner piece as there are two large indents where my legs rest. It just went out of warranty so I am going to have to live with it. I work all day so this is not a chair that's used for extremely long periods of time on a daily basis. Plus, I never had any issue like this in the past with La-Z-Boy recliners with the same use. So, I doubt the "courtesy" replacements will last. I'm trying to figure out how to use this recliner without actually putting my arms on it. Next time I will have to shop for another brand as I would be concerned any new chair from La-Z-Boy would wear like this one.

We moved to an old townhouse that needed some work done in the lower level and decided to purchase furniture from La-Z-Boy. They have wonderful sales staff and delivery team. However when they took all the wrapping off of the sofas there was puckering around all cushions. I took pictures of it, went into the store and showed the store designer and she said it looks hideous. She reported it to La-Z-Boy and they sent a technician to look at the furniture. (This all happened in the middle of April and it still hasn't been resolved.) I got a call back from La-Z-Boy and they said it is within what they consider normal upholstery. The salespeople are telling me they can't do anything about it. It's not their decision but they did have a notice received in email that they're going to replace two of the cushions and they're going to have a technician re-stuff one of the cushions.

Bought a La-Z-Boy recliner from the Cyrville Ottawa location. I was overcharged and did not notice. The sales person was kind enough to call and indicate that there was an overcharge and that I will be refunded the difference. Management has since done absolutely nothing with respect to issuing the refund. It would seem that there is no accountability here and one wonders if this is a normal way of doing business. Has been in contact with the store on multiple occasions and even supplied my credit card info again. Will not be making any future purchases from this store.

My first ever social media review in June told about our experience of dealing with Comfort Care, the company that handles the warranty for La-Z-Boy. Our concern about how the fabric was wearing started two months after we received our sofa and recliner. We went back and forth with them for eight months and their final decision was that there was no wear on the furniture as they claimed it was fabric compression!
Needless to say, it was less than a positive experience and after eight months we felt we had reached the end of the road. We went into the store in Ontario, CA where we had purchased the original furniture to select fabric for the recliner, which they had agreed to replace. We spoke with Stephanie, a sales associate, and then Krissy **, the General Manager. They could tell how unhappy we were with the whole La-Z-Boy experience.
They offered to work with us on a replacement fabric, but also offered to do whatever they could to make the experience right. My husband and I spoke with Comfort Care again on two occasions and Krissy spoke with them on several occasions and to our relief Comfort Care finally agreed to replace our furniture.
Needless to say, I am so thankful and relieved with the decision. This was not cheap furniture and being retired we were not in the position to replace it. We cannot begin to say enough about the staff at the Ontario La-Z-Boy. They have gone above and beyond in getting our furniture replaced and then helping pick a fabric they felt would last for years to come.
My faith in La-Z-Boy is restored and if you live in the Ontario, CA area I would highly recommend this specific store. My husband and I would like to give a special thanks to Krissy, Amy, Stephanie and Tanya. They were all very caring, professional and persistent in their efforts to ensure our experience with La-Z-Boy was a good one. Thank you, ladies!

My husband and I purchased a sofa and recliner from La-Z Boy Furniture in Ontario in September 2014. We did a lot of looking at different furniture stores and could have purchased less expensive furniture, but felt it was worth the cost of $4691(sale price) to get quality furniture that would last for years. The salesperson told us the fabric we selected is like the new microfiber and is extremely durable. Within two months we called the store as we were concerned with how the fabric was wearing. They sent a technician to look at the furniture and he ordered three replacement cushions and new arms for the recliner.
Now Comfort Care, who handles the warranty work for La-Z Boy, is telling us that it is fiber compression not wear on the sofa and it is being done from natural use not a manufacturing defect. She also said there is no nap loss of the cover showing. Now mind you this decision was not made by the technician who came to our home and actually saw it, but by someone looking at a cell phone picture the technician sent! I strongly disagree that it is fiber compression, but they can call it whatever they want.
The thing is it is not a durable fabric as it was sold to us. Our previous eight year old microfiber sofa didn't look as bad as this furniture does at 9 months! I am upset as we cannot afford to buy new furniture. I am not asking for a new sofa, just new fabric. The technician tells me they are actually able to recover a sofa in the home, which would be perfect providing it looks good.

They give you a three-dollar part but it costs $140 for them to come out and fix it. $40 dollars if you bring it in. I would have bought something else less expensive if I knew that the warranty was the part and they charge a fortune to fix a three-dollar part.

The rep at their gallery was very helpful and their delivery team was in and out of here very quickly. They got it set up and plugged in and showed me how to use it. So far I'm very happy with its quality.

We moved in to a new apartment so I needed to purchase new furniture. I got a power sofa from La-Z-Boy and it’s the best one I’ve ever had. The sales rep was very helpful and told us everything we needed to know. I asked for a really good price and she was great. I have no complaints. The delivery team was very polite and quick. They checked everything, set it all up and made sure it worked. They let us check it out and they were on their way.

My first La-Z-Boy purchase was a power sofa and a loveseat. We've had our old furniture for a while so we wanted to replace it. The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery answered a lot of our questions and was generally friendly and helpful. I feel the quality of the furniture I received is great. It's neither La-Z-Boy’s service nor their people that I have an issue with because their sales representative was awesome and their installation guy was proficient, quick, and made it all work. He even had me sit in the chair to check it all out. It's the built of the chair itself that I would be concerned about. I'm worried enough to get me to their store to check if the chair was made the way it is. Because evidently, when I sit in it, I can still feel the wood on the padded sides of the arms of the chair. Every time I don't sit totally straight, you can feel the piece of wood in the arm. It's the same with the foot rest. There's a board across there with no padding and you're kind of sitting there. So I went to the store to see if that was typical of all those chairs and I guess it is.

I have been ordering from La-Z-Boy for 20 years. My other stuff was getting a little bit weary looking and lost its bounce. So my friend, **, goes out to La-Z-Boy there in Cerritos as well and they have a delightful lady there that’s a sales manager. She’s easy to deal with. We got our furniture. I bought my sofa and loveseat and a reclining rocker. I got them very timely. Very nice, delivery guys were good. Everything was good. It was pretty simple and we're all happy.

We have a loveseat and we are liking it so far - quality is good. The young lady at the La-Z-Boy gallery helped us find what we were looking for. She showed us around and then gave us some time alone so we can have a better look at the products. After some time, she came back to check on us and it worked well for us. The delivery team was also good.

Warning! Warning! Warning! Do not buy from the Cortez Rd store in Bradenton. Totally trash furniture and they won't replace after delivering it being made horrible.. They lie and are the most rude people I've ever dealt with. Had furniture made in a different fabric that they didn't have in store. When delivered it was horrible. Twisted and bunched material sewn and green glue all over the cushions and huge gaps. Won't replace or exchange because they say it was a special order. Why do they have different fabrics to choose from then? Salesperson promised if we didn't like it we could exchange it in 3 days. Wrong. I didn't like it when it was delivered. The power recline pops and cracks also. Now I'm stuck with trash furniture. And I ordered 3 pieces, $4,500 later.

We love our La-Z-Boy chairs. We had purchased two recliners from a different store and the leather didn't hold up so we were disappointed. We wanted a nice leather chair but couldn't find one anywhere since everybody's got combined fabric, that's why we went to La-Z-Boy. We were very impressed with the sales representatives. They totally helped us decide to buy there and explained everything to a tee. This is our second La-Z-Boy purchase.

This is not my first La-Z-Boy purchase - we had a double recliner sofa bed. I got my new power sofa because of my age and how hard my other sofa was getting for my knee to close - the one you push down with your leg. I didn't have any problem or complaints with the sales rep. I shopped two different times before I picked one. So far, the sofa is good.

I had owned a La-Z-Boy couch for 15 years & loved it. So I bought another 8 months ago, but was talked into the power recliner instead of a manual recliner. Maybe that was my mistake. 4 service calls later - the footrest still won't always close & sometimes just drops when reclined. They insist it's the safety snaps coming undone, which isn't covered by the warranty. Multiple people told me to pound my feet on the footrest when I try closing it?? They weren't kidding, so I tried - it didn't really help. No response as to why the reclined footrest would suddenly drop for no reason. I called the Service Center manager, who was reluctant to send someone else out. I argued with him that there had to be another reason besides the safety snaps.
I was told that the safety snaps probably came undone because of an obstruction such as my flat throw pillow being on the seat, or the 1/4" carpet, or my leaning forward when closing. How am I'm leaning forward when the seat is fully reclined? He did agree to look one last time - we'll see what happens. As to my complaint regarding the thinly covered wooden arm-frame - they said that was normal. I don't remember having the wood frame poking my side at the store. I called the store & they said this whole thing was a service problem. As there were few material choices "in stock" when buying the couch, you had to pick one making this a non-refundable purchase. Wish I never bought this albatross.
Updated on 6/19/2015 - I originally wrote a review on June 11, 2015 about the reclining couch that I bought 8 months ago. Love the reclining feature... Just wish it would also always close so the footrest isn't sticking out tripping me. I've called the service department 4 times now and I still have this intermittent problem. I was told that the power recliner contains a sensor that stops the descent when it determines that there is an obstruction in the way. When this happens I am to POUND my legs on the footrest to re-engage the safety snaps and then I can close it. Doesn't always work and I have a bad back & bad knees so this isn't always pleasant.
As to the obstruction... I have been told it was the carpet on my floor -- so they elevated the couch as far as it would go - looks lovely; or as the Service Manager ** told me, it could be my two inch thick "flat pillow" that I have on the couch preventing this from closing as it is on the body of the couch. I asked the Torrance, CA La-Z-Boy Store Manager about that one and she said that was ridiculous. I was asked if maybe I had a blanket or anything else on the couch that could be determined to be the obstruction. I told him the only "obstruction" on the couch was myself and it was self-defeating to worry about reclining & closing the couch if I wasn't allowed to sit in it.
I asked if they could please check the sensor, or something, anything, else that could be causing this problem. He was definitely not happy, but the Service Manager did agree to send somebody "one last time, but if it's the safety snaps they are not going to fix that as it's not covered under the warranty". This was better than his curt "I'm not sending anybody else out there, you've been told there's nothing wrong with it, just the safety snaps coming undone and I'm not sending someone out there every time to fix that since it's not covered under the warranty."
Needless to say, I wasn't given the option to complete their Courtesy Survey after this phone call. They were to come out 6/19, but they left me a message telling me they were coming out 6/18. I called multiple times and could not get a live body. I left a couple of messages telling them NOT to come out on 6/19 because I could not be there and I wanted to reschedule to the Friday that we had agreed to. Guess what? No-one called back, no-one picked up the phone, but they did show up 6/18 and spoke to my son. They came in, took more pictures, put the seat up and down and said there wasn't anything wrong and left in less than ten minutes. Another stellar performance. Now I did get a response back from La-Z-Boy about my first complaint. They said they were sorry to hear about my experience and that a representative would be in touch. We'll see.

I was looking for a solution that could double as both sleeping and seating area because I have a very small apartment. I asked the La-Z-Boy salesman if they had anything that I could sleep on as well as sit on. They showed me a few different things and I picked out which one I liked the best. It's good. The delivery team was in and out fairly quickly and brought it in with no scuffs or scratches.

I purchased two top of the line La-Z-Boy chairs (Astor Recliner XRPlus) for $4048 on January 13, 2015. I thought I might be able to adjust to them...Wrong. They are the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever had. They have caused shoulder pain, leg pain and back pain. I asked for a physical adjustment of the chair because we have an extended warranty policy. They said I have to wait for l month for service to come look at them. They're busy so they are scheduled for the 29th of June 2015 ( but have already said that if there is nothing "mechanical" then they can't fix the problem). It is sealed in at the factory. The sales dept offered to discount the next purchase of new chairs if I am able to sell these chairs on Craigslist. That is the remedy. I guess I am just stuck with the 2 chairs. When my wife passed away 8 months ago I was trying to move forward so I bought new furnitures. I recently purchased a sofa, recliner, loveseat, and some accessories. I'm happy with their quality. I had great interactions with the sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery as well as with the delivery team. With that, I would recommend them.

We wanted more comfortable furniture so we purchased some from La-Z-Boy. My store experience was not good. When I wanted to ask something about some of their furniture, it took me 15 minutes to get someone to even notice that I was there. It was disappointing as the salespersons were all walking around. I was just standing by a piece of furniture when one walked by, and just kept on walking despite my attempt to talk to him. I was about to walk out when I finally decided to ask one girl who was standing over one center who was not doing anything. I just paid $5,000, and somebody should've been interested in getting my money. The scheduling of the delivery, however, worked well. I got a call from the warehouse and we set up the date of the delivery. I have high praises for the delivery personnel. They were careful about handling the furniture, making sure they weren't damaging the walls or the door.

I've been shopping at La-Z-Boy for a while now. I'm furnishing my whole house with La-Z-Boy furniture. The reps at the gallery were pretty good-- helped me with decorating to know what other furniture I need and I appreciated it. Delivery was good too and I'm happy with the furniture.

I purchased my first sofa ever from La-Z-Boy and spent almost 2500 dollars. The sofa was delivered on time as promised but there was a tear in the leather, strings hanging out from the stitching, and scratches all over it. The delivery driver allowed me to keep it and La-Z-Boy promised me another sofa. Second sofa comes, it's even worse than the first. THIRD sofa comes, and it's worse than the first TWO. At this point, I'm past the point of being patient. A 2500-dollar sofa can't be made properly? They attempt to deliver the FOURTH sofa and the delivery driver calls me ahead and tells me to not even bother accepting it because it is "not up to La-Z-Boy standards."
I called my sales rep at my local store in Cranberry, PA and she offers to have the sofa they tried to deliver last "fixed" and sent out for delivery again. I explained to her that this was not acceptable as I did not purchase a damaged couch but a new couch. So now, here I sit, waiting for couch number FIVE. I'm seriously considering canceling the whole thing and buying a couch from whoever else can deliver a new couch in good condition. La-Z-Boy has been easy to deal with but their product is absolute garbage. Will never do business again.

Everything was perfect except for one thing that really bothered me. I had to pay for my furniture to be delivered. I have never heard of such. They added it to my bill and that's a big thing out of your wallet. That ticked me off but I had no other way of getting it here so I had to do what I had to do. But the experience at the store was great. The salespersons were very helpful. What one couldn't answer, the other one did. And I absolutely love the furniture. It's beautiful. So other than the delivery fee I have no complaints whatsoever.

Our furniture was pretty shabby so we got a new sectional, chairs and accessories from La-Z-Boy. We had been in La-Z-Boy 8 years ago but it was previously run by rude people. When we recently went back the people there now were amazing and even bent over backwards to help us. It's one place where we shopped that they could answer everything I asked truthfully and I appreciated that. When we got the furniture, the quality is excellent and I'm thrilled by it. In addition, their designer was awesome and I was pleased with her enthusiasm. She came to our house and took into account everything we wanted. When we finally went in for a meeting with her to see everything, she hit the nail on the head and I loved it. I tell my friends that their design service is wonderful and it all went exactly she said it would.

La-Z-Boy recliners are not cheap and I thought that since I was paying more AND adding a 5 year additional warranty, I was getting better quality. Boy was I wrong. BOTH of our recliners won't close properly and they are charging us almost $300 to fix it, saying that our warranty doesn't cover the mechanisms. The worst part is that the guy came over, looked at the couch for 5 minutes and needed to order a part and when the part came in they said that I'd need to pay an additional fee since the work will take 2 hours. This is complete BS and I feel like we were completely cheated, what was the point of getting a warranty if this stuff isn't going to get covered? I feel like I was completely cheated, I could have gotten similar recliners from another furniture store for less money, but I thought I was getting better quality and I didn't. Very disappointed.

We had our first set of La-Z-Boy in our home 10 years ago which we still have now. Then, we had purchased something else which didn't last so that made us go back to La-Z-Boy. So far, the furnitures that we received from them has good quality. Their staff were also great.

We have a baby on the way and my sister wanted to get us a recliner instead of a rocking chair. So she bought one for us. The La-Z Boy sales representative we dealt with was awesome. She showed us all the different ways that the chair works and sold us on the protective thing. She was knowledgeable about everything, and was willing to work with us because we didn't know what day we were able to have the delivery. She called us promptly the next day, when she said that she would, to make the schedule. The delivery team was great as well. Since we live on an Air Force base, they had to get their truck inspected and get visitors passes. It took them an hour for them to get on, but they didn't act like it was any inconvenience to them. They were nice and didn't make us feel rushed at all. They were early, which was nice too. We love it!

Got a sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy and the reps in their shop were very, very helpful. Their interior designer even came to our home. It was just awesome. We actually bought furniture from them before and we think their product have great quality so we came back to them when we needed to do some upgrades. It was raining when they delivered our sofa and coffee table but they had everything wrapped where it would not get wet. They were very thoughtful and it was very good. We would recommend them.

After 4 months of getting shuffled back and forth between departments, I finally received a replacement from La-Z-Boy's subcontractor. Buyer beware when purchasing La-Z-Boy products to make sure they are not just a cheap foreign product with the licensed brand name.

La-Z Boy used to have quality furniture but the last 2 office chairs I have purchased from them have lasted less than 5 months. The quality and workmanship is something I would expect to see from a cheap Chinese manufacturer and for a chair base to start leaning to the side after a couple months of having a 150 pound person sitting in it is ridiculous considering the price they charge. If you are planning on buying a product from LA-Z Boy I would recommend against it. I strongly suspect the brand name has been sold off another company who is now milking as much profit as they can from it.

I was getting kind of sick of my old couch so I went to the La-Z-Boy store and picked out a new couch. I had an excellent experience in the store, to delivery and just about everything. The delivery guys were terrific. I had an old, beat-up sofa. I asked them to put it in the garage and they did it for me. They worked very nicely and politely.

We moved and my daughter bought a new house so we gave our furniture and needed new ones. The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very nice and the quality of the furniture so far is good. We're still waiting on some pegs for the console bookshelf type of thing as the pegs didn't come with it so we cannot use it yet.

My kids purchased 2 recliners for my husband and I for Christmas this year. I have some orthopedic problems and was unable to sit in my chair. I called the store the day after Christmas and was told the chairs weren't purchased there. After speaking to my son I was told the chairs were purchased there. I called back again and someone actually did find the sale. My daughter purchased them with her credit card and somehow they put the sale in my husband's name because we bought furniture several times before. I went back over and picked out a chair I was able to sit on. ** the office manager helped me. We got charged another delivery fee for this chair.
When my husband and son came home with the chair a week later, it wasn't the chair I ordered. I was unable to sit in this chair because of my problem with my leg. I called again and was told I could come and revisit the chairs. I picked the chair I wanted again. This chair was cheaper than the one ** sold me that was wrong. They refuse to do a refund even though it was their mistake. I turned a complaint into the attorney general. He talked to the owner Frank Hager who won't do a thing. Now they are checking with the legal dept of La-Z-Boy and also how many complaints are out there. This is wrong and has been going on for 6 months! I would like my money back and I don't feel a delivery charge should be charged again for an exchange. This has been a great inconvenience! I was a loyal customer but I don't think I will go there to buy La-Z-Boy furniture. Thanks for your help.

We have been loyal customers of La-Z-Boy for over thirty years and have owned eight Reclina-Rockers and a sofa. We enjoyed excellent comfort and durability from all of them, but unfortunately we lost our home and all our belongings in a house fire in December 2013. When we were ready to replace our furniture, we went back to La-Z-Boy and bought a sofa, ottoman, and four Reclina-Rockers at a cost of over $5000. The sofa, ottoman, and two of the Reclina-Rockers are wonderful and we like them very much. However, we had problems with the other two Reclina-Rockers.
When I went back to the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery, my sales associate was concerned about the problems and reassured me that they would do what it took for us to be happy with our purchases, including a re-select if necessary. She referred me to her manager. The manager was not interested in hearing about my problem at all and just gave me the phone number for Comfort Care, the company that administrates the warranties for La-Z-Boy. When I called Comfort Care, it was hard to reach a human representative and I had to leave messages and wait to be called back. When they did call back, they gave me the phone number for yet another company that sent a tech to assess the problem, and make the repairs. All the calls and leaving messages resulted in long delays waiting for an appointment to have the tech come, order parts, come back to do repairs, etc.
My chair came with the wrong base and the seat part was not padded correctly, leaving the wood frame barely covered. The technician was able to order new parts and repair the chair, but it would no longer stay in a reclined position and he had to come back to fix it again. Now it is comfortable although it still sometimes slips from the reclined position.
My husband's chair is the big problem. The back of the chair is made with three sections. The lumbar and middle sections are lightly padded, but the top section is heavily padded. A person sitting in the chair has his head pushed forward at the neck because the top section is so overstuffed. The technician ordered a whole new back for the chair and replaced it, but the new back is the same. Relatively flat through the lumbar and middle sections, then very overstuffed at the top. My husband has not been able to use the chair because of the neck pain it causes by pushing his head forward.
I called Comfort Care to report that the problem was not fixed and asked to speak with a manager. She said the chair back met the specifications required by the company and that they would not do any more to help us. When I said my husband was not even using the chair because it was so uncomfortable, she said that they do not guarantee comfort. She said my husband must be sitting too far back in the chair. Then she said it is our fault because we were not maintaining the back of the chair by fluffing it up and that she would send the tech back to teach us how to do that.
After waiting weeks (again!) for an appointment, the tech returned. He said there is absolutely no way to fluff or maintain the chair back and that a person would have to be shaped like a capital C to be comfortable sitting in the chair. I expected his report to carry some weight with Comfort Care, but when I called them afterward, they again refused to help me at all.
I expected that La-Z-Boy would stand behind their product and replace the chair with one my husband could actually sit in, especially when it cost a whopping $1004.99 plus an additional $49.99 for the fabric protection and 5-year protection plan. Instead they passed me off to a second party warranty company and a third-party repair company, and totally washed their hands of the problem. I'm very disappointed in the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and will not recommend them or purchase anything from them again.

The service guy from La-Z-Boy gave us $300 as a discount. So we rang up the transaction and paid for it only to be told that since the furniture was already on sale, he can't give us the discount after all! Obviously my husband and I were furious. We bought a couch and two loveseats, we're spending a lot of money and then they turn around and say we can't have this discount - that's ridiculous. We ended up getting the $100 taken off for delivery, but it was still very upsetting as he shouldn't have made that error. It wasn't a very good experience.

Don't buy La-Z-Boy. Their modern components don't hold up like the ones they used to use, and their repair service is slow and disorganized. The chair was great initially. I bought it specifically because the footrest will go up without having to recline the back rest. The fabric was beautiful and cozy. But then the footrest stopped working, and I couldn't get it to close. I was trapped in the chair. Thankfully, my husband was home to help me get out of it. I called the service department. I had to wait a week for a service visit, then wait three weeks for the parts to arrive, and wait another two weeks for the tech to do the repairs. But oh wait, he can't do the repairs because the factory didn't send the screws he ordered, and the company is too cheap to provide screws for the techs to have on hand. So now I wait some more.
I asked about returning the chair, but no, I'm stuck in this never ending loop. Anyone want to bet on how long it will be before the mechanical parts crap out again because they plan to replace them with identical parts? At that point, I'll have to pay for the service visit(s) because the one year free warranty will be up. So disappointed!!! I will not recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone.

We ordered a leather couch, love seat and recliner in late December 2014 and as of today, the last piece is not delivered. We had a delivery set for today 6/3/15, but this morning we received a call telling us our delivery appointment was moved from 9.00 am to 3 pm. I had made arrangements to have my 85-year old mother come to my house to wait on the delivery. We are now set up for Saturday morning, I wonder what excuse I will get then!

On 10 May we purchased a love seat at the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in a nearby city; during the sale closing, the representative made a point of emphasizing that even Internet advertising was acceptable to present evidence of a lower price. The item price was $1823.99 and the sale totaled $2181.82 with warranty, delivery and sales tax included. No financing was involved. On 29 May, my wife identified the same manufacturer/model love seat for sale at a much-reduced price and telephoned the store. After confirming that she was bringing sufficient evidence by printing the web pages, she drove to the store and was denied the refund. The advertised item price was $1059.99 and the proposed sale totaled $1330.51 with warranty, delivery, and no sales tax.
The following day the store manager called and explained that higher headquarters were aware of the competitor but felt that the additional shipping costs (conveying an estimate of $700) involved created a cause not to honor the price match. Instead La-Z-Boy made an offer to recompense $300.00. We felt this was insulting to toss in this estimate to insinuate that we were not diligent enough to have verified that the alternate purchase would save us the full price difference if executed. We declined and counter-offered to return the love seat if the entire transaction would be cancelled as if it never occurred so that we could do business with their competitor. La-Z-Boy stated that the return was possible but would be subject to the standard re-stocking fee, a stipulation that we would not accept.
Three days later the district office contacted my wife to convey a decision that the return and transaction cancellation would be acceptable; during the course of the discussion my wife was told that she would be required to again travel to the retail store to complete the arrangements. Upon arrival she was informed that the transaction cancellation was not complete in that warranty costs would not be refunded, that the costs of the return would be borne by us, and that the in-person visit had never been required. All work on resolving the situation was ended at these new revelations, and the information about the wasted trip was taken as fresh insult.
La-Z-Boy likes to present an aura of sophistication and are efficient in executing a sale in which people spend thousands of dollars in their stores; we request that La-Z-Boy operate with the same degree of decorum and alacrity in fulfilling the price match guarantee printed on their standard sales form. Instead, their response conveys insult to their customer and forces us into these third party forums, accompanied by appeal to the regulatory agencies that oversee the use of deceptive terms in commerce, and the use of the courts to make clear that the numbers above reflect marketplace truth and a price match is due us.

We bought two power recliners from La-Z-Boy. We bought the wrong chair the first time - according to them we bought two blue ones when we wanted to have one blue and one red chair. It was corrected in about 2 seconds though. The sales rep in their gallery explained all the options and he did the financing. The chairs were also delivered when he said it would be by some pretty cool, young studs. I've had La-Z-Boy as well years before but this new purchase was prompted by another shoulder replacement that I had. It's so good to sleep on La-Z-Boy.

I recently purchased a sofa, recliner, chair, and a loveseat for a house we moved into. The sales representative I dealt with was very helpful. The team that delivered my purchases were nice. They placed the furniture where I wanted them to be in. I love the furniture I received but I have noticed that some stitching has come off in one of the cushions - it doesn't even look like it has been stitched at all. But someone is going to come out this week to take care of that. The problem that I have is only minor though.

The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was wonderful. She explained everything, was very thorough and very helpful. We were very pleased with her. The delivery team were very good. They did have a problem that day because they had a breakdown with one of the trucks so it arrived later than what they thought. But they kept us appraised of the situation, so it wasn't any kind of an issue for us, and when they came and delivered it they brought everything in efficiently -- they didn't do any damage to the house. They set it up nicely and positioned it where we wanted.
So far I love the quality of the chairs we've bought from La-Z-Boy. My husband has the leather one while I have the upholstered one. Mine's harder to navigate the seat down than the leather one because it's bigger than my husband's but they're both very comfortable. The only thing is I paid $569 for my chair (and that was on sale) and I saw the same chair being sold at a well-known furniture store in Gardner, Massachusetts for $399. So I wasn't exactly happy with that but we had already paid for everything and I wasn't going to go back to the store and say that I would have appreciated getting a lower price. I signed the deal so it's my own fault.

I purchased a Radcliff 3 Seater + 2 Seater lounge suite on 24th December 2014 after having looked at it in the shop for some weeks and found it very comfortable. On delivery I noticed it was not near as comfortable as the shop model but accepted advice from the sales people that it would 'break in' over the coming months.
I have since returned to the vendor and again tested the shop floor model. Nothing like what I expected for a $3,000+ suite. One section is sunk lower than any of the others and the wrinkling is nothing like the description in the brochure. I have photos to prove. I left it until end March 2015 to get back to the local La-Z-Boy office (Australia).
After several attempts a 'technician' finally came to inspect the suite and his assessment was that all is normal and the wrinkles are as expected and not a warranty issue. Snotty letter from After Sales Service manager who didn't appear to care did not help much. I am extremely disappointed in this product as it does not live up to the description below. Made in China and not nearly as comfortable as my old battered up lounge sofa that I threw out to make room for the La-Z-Boy. Advised the after sales that I would take the matter further but they appeared unconcerned and ignored my last communication. May have to take this matter up with Fair Trade Australia. Not a happy Customer.

We have a new house and we purchased a sectional, a recliner, and tables from La-Z-Boy. So far, they're pretty good. The sales representatives designed the living room for us. They designed the stuff we hung on the walls, lamps, and the rug and the whole thing. And they did a pretty nice job. The delivery team were friendly and they set up the furniture. And we changed the way they set it so they took it apart and moved it around and set it all up, hung the stuff on the walls. They also did a really nice job.

Sept. 5, 2013 we purchased 2 recliners (one manual, one power) and a sofa. We are happy with the sofa but the recliners are below par product. We have had service calls without solving the problem and then the one year warranty ran out. Oops. I won't go into great detail about the bad track record these chairs have had. We are seniors and need comfortable chairs to sit on. These chairs are not three years old and we feel we need to replace them because of the back problems they have caused. My power chair is broken. Service had to order parts. Don't know when this will be fixed. This chair has always made terrible noises when powering and sounds like it is about to take off into space. I am willing to pay $109.00 service if they could and would just fix them. I think their service men have done about as good a job as they can with what they have to work with. Please help.

I am in the military and I got moved and had our previous living room furniture destroyed by the moving company so I purchased a new sofa and loveseat. The sales rep I spoke to from La-Z-Boy was great and I am impressed with the quality of their furnitures. Likewise, the delivery team did a good job and everything went smoothly. I moved into a new home and needed new furniture so I bought a new couch and some woodwork from La-Z-Boy. It's the second room of furniture I purchased from them. I came back because I knew that their furniture would hold up, that it would be dependable (isn't going to look new forever but you don't want it to look dilapidated while it's still functional). So that's why I was in their gallery. While I was there, there was a young family that ended up buying furniture and were swayed to a particular model because of my experience with the first weeks of the furniture.

Since delivery this product has been the worst. Parts literally falling off. Within 2 months it looks like it is 50 years old. Called on our extended warranty and was told it was normal. Recently had a power surge and everything in the house is fixed or replaced, except La-Z-Boy. Still waiting for them to call us back. We have called them 4 times. Ridiculous and will never buy another.

I have a rug that I paid for protection. 3 days ago I left a message for the Ultra Shield people about my rug but they haven’t returned my call. I think that's not very good business that they have to call me back for days when I gave a lot of money for the protection on all my things. I know that it's a different company but it's all part of the experience. They did impact my La-Z-Boy experience. I’m upset about my rug.

We recently bought two recliners and a sofa from La-Z-Boy. The sales lady was very knowledgeable. She was very willing to help me. The stuff I was looking at wasn't suited for me so she put me in the right direction. The delivery time was a little bit long. I was quoted one date and then it kind of went over that by a lot. But they sent two of the nicest young men there were. You couldn't have ask for better. They just brought it in and they put gliders or sliders on the bottom of it for me. They offered to rearrange it for me. They were well polite and I can't say enough good about them. More company should have employees like that. When I got the furniture it is as comfortable as it was in the store. I've used every piece of it. I've sat on it, we climbed it, laid on it and it is just great.

I ordered a Pinnacle Chair 02-01-15 and still have not received it. The local store says it is due to the manufacturer changing out the mechanism. I was told 6 to 8 weeks, it has been almost four months. I have asked to cancel the order and get my deposit back due to the length of time. They have told me I have to pay a restocking fee. Well, if there is no chair, what do they have to restock? They have said they will let me have free delivery but again, no chair. What I want is my money back and no restocking charge. It is just too long and because of this time, my brand new home is still unfinished due to this chair not coming.

My overall experience with La-Z-Boy was wonderful. The only thing that I think I was really surprised at was there were no extra little pieces of fabric that you put over the arms of your chairs. But I aside from that, I would recommend them.

We had a La-Z-Boy recliner couch in our home for 10 years. We were extremely satisfied with it but we gave it away five years ago. We purchased two others in between that time, weren't nearly as satisfied with them so we came back to La-Z-Boy and bought a love seat. To this point, we've been very pleased. Very high quality furniture.

We haven't received our furniture yet (as it was just ordered today). This is more the sales associate and in-house designer at the Monroeville PA store. I will review furniture in 6-8 weeks. ** our sales associate and ** our designer, are simply the best. They were both so helpful. ** showed us ideas that were great and it was just what we were looking for. We only spent a little over $5,000.00 but we were treated like we spent $25K. I can't say enough about these two. Simply the best. I will never shop at another furniture store again and they both know what store I am referring to. Thanks again to both of you - it's going to be a long 6-8 weeks wait. :)

The rugs and all of the furniture were beautiful so I bought about $10,000 worth of furniture and everything was just right on. I love everything. But I recently bought a beautiful but very expensive rug from La-Z-Boy in February and they said it was gonna be here in 8-10 weeks but I just got it last week. They kept saying that it will be here next week but it never showed up. So I called to tell them it didn't come in but they just gave me the runaround for three weeks. So finally I went in and they said it's there. They were supposed to deliver it. The guy who I talked to was just rude so I was not happy with the whole rug situation.
If it's gonna be twelve weeks then they should have told me. I spent a lot of time waiting at home for these deliveries and expecting that they're gonna come and they weren't. And then I was told that they were gonna deliver it, but the person that was supposed to deliver it said she'll be here tomorrow but when I called, she wasn't working so I was very upset. Anyway, the sales rep I spoke with helped me and she was very apologetic. I really liked her a lot but the whole situation was just nasty.

I wanted to buy a recliner. It would be very comfortable because I spend a lot of my time in my chair. La-Z-Boy had a sale and somebody called from the store about their special offer where I get a gift when I come in. I fell for that and I was kind of sorry I went there. I'm living with my daughter and we called because the saleslady has been telling my daughter that they have this kit which we will get automatically with the furniture. I don't know how much money it was but then when I got and Iooked at the bill for the two-seater sofa and recliner, it was $4000. I didn't realize it was that much.
We went to the store and they took the cleaning thing off the bill. The woman that was waiting on us told us, "Well, this is this," and she didn't even go to any details about it. It was so much. And when the furniture came, there was a motion chair on the two-seater which I don't want because I didn't have much company at home and I don't sit on the sofa that much. But I liked the chair when I sat on it. I tried a couple and it was the nicest and it fit the best. It was different than what my daughter suggested. The chair that we tried on was the loveseat. She saw that there's some print for the recliner and the only nice thing that the lady suggested was to get the two pillows with the print that would match the couch.
Two days later, they called to tell me what the results were. It was a week and I called the store and someone came to check out the problem. She called the people from La-Z-Boy and she says, "When did you get your furniture delivered?" I said "May 10th. It was at a Sunday." She said, "A year ago?" I said, "No, this past May 10th." She goes, "Oh, you've got a year warranty on it." The person who came checked the back of the chair and found that the numbers match whatever was on the sales ticket.
So I called a second time and she told me to call the La-Z-Boy people and that she was going to email them to tell them that I called them. She was very pleasant, helpful and was always at the office. I said, "I wish you could do something for me because I'm very disappointed to spend so much money on two pieces of furniture and I'm not that wealthy. I can afford to blow it once in a while." She tried to get the manager to call me back but he didn't call me back. A vey nice woman called me instead. I usually like to get the name of the person but I didn't get her name.
I just wanted what I paid for and I'd be very leery now because for one, I think the salesperson who brought the pieces of material that the chair would be with said that it would be great because she said the sofa and the chair would be a nice match but the chair's not comfortable. When I sit on it, I get really hurt because it's too low. I bought so many pieces of furniture in my life and I've never had such a problem. I'm sorry but I would never recommend La-Z-Boy.

This piece is advertised as a twin size sleeper. Be advised a full grown man will not be comfortable on this little 33.5x71 inch mattress that is much smaller than a standard size twin. Also it is constructed out of chipboard, not what I expected for the $1600 it cost. The smell from the formaldehyde off-gassing burned our eyes and noses for the first 2 weeks we had it home. The cushions and fabric are good quality however. I have not received any reply to date on my letter to customer service regarding the chipboard construction. Not surprisingly, La-Z-boy only shows their 5 star reviews on their website.

Then, the associate who scheduled the delivery did everything and all that he said were right on point. The delivery team on the other hand were fantastic - they were in and out and set them up. La-Z-Boy's a little overpriced in my mind but so is everything else in this country so there's nothing I can do about it. They were quite attentive and we were the only people in the store so they had nothing better to do. We got a lot of attention. When we came down to it, they still charged us $180 to deliver it two and a half miles. That's a bit ridiculous. Delivery charges are out of control. But beyond that, it's a good experience.

We bought a sofa and a chair from La-Z-Boy for our new and bigger house. I was definitely surprised when my husband said La-Z-Boy and what I had in my mind was the loungers and I almost didn't go there because of that - I'm so glad we did. Their design consultant was very helpful and the salesperson left us alone - it was good. We had three different people help us with different aspects and they were helpful and knowledgeable. But I didn't like that I couldn't call the store and get an update on my order. I always had to talk to the same person, and that was kind of frustrating. I also didn't like that our sofa came in quite early and we had to wait for our chair, and we had all this company coming in. It would have been nice if we could have got the pieces as they were in so we wouldn't have an empty room. But I love, love, love, the furniture. I would recommend them for sure.

I purchased a sectional sofa and coffee table from the Torrance CA La-Z-Boy store on 2/22/15 and was told that I would receive my furniture in 6-8 weeks. 13 weeks later I still have not received my order. The latest delivery commitment they have given me puts us at 16 weeks from the time I purchased the furniture and that's if they even meet the new commitment which they have failed to do this far. When I asked about cancelling my order, they told me that I would be charged a 30% restocking fee which would be around $1098 so I am forced to wait it out.
I would not be able to purchase a sofa elsewhere after paying their penalty fee so I sought compensation from them for their inability to meet their sales commitment to me. I was told the best they could do is to wave the $179 delivery fee and take $300 off the order. That is not even half of what my penalty would be for cancelling the order and they are the ones that are not providing the product that they agreed to provide when I purchased it. This is a multi-million dollar company taking advantage of a working class family and I find their business practices and customer service appalling.

We placed an order for a leather reclining sofa in February of 2015. When we left the store the sales rep said there would be a 6 week wait. I followed up after six weeks and was told April. April came and I was told May. This week I called to inquire and was speaking to a representative named **. While trying to retrieve my order she referred to herself as a "retard" for making a mistake. This poor choice of words was very unfortunate considering she is supposed to be a customer service representative. According to this store I now have to wait until June for the sofa. The reason is that it is a new frame, and new leather and that they are waiting for a part to come in. Seriously???

Oh boy... let me start by saying I am glad I done with this mess of a furniture store for good. My bad experience started with me walking into their store in SE Calgary in early December. One of the sales gentlemen clearly told me to leave and shop at Leon's because they have nothing in my price range instead of telling me what they had to offer :o! I tried another store towards xmas in the north of Calgary because basically I had been casually dismissed from this store. At that store I dealt with a pleasant lady and we settled on a sofa bed and recliner but strangely she never called me back to follow up with the sale?? Anyway since I was sure of what I wanted to buy I just returned to the SE Calgary store and placed my order. I took their financing too. Delivery was early which was great but that's where the stress begun...
The delivery guys dinged up the leather sofa bed during delivery and I noticed 30 min after they left and informed La-Z-Boy right away. They didn't get back to me until I called in several times over the next couple of days and demanded an incident ticket and a solution. They told me since I had already accepted the delivery, so they couldn't take back the damaged sofa, they said to fix it up in my house instead and the earliest appointment I could get was 3 weeks away. Wow... can you imagine being strapped with a damaged very expensive sofa?
After a long week stressing about this, I went to the store and demanded to speak to the manager. I explained the situation and told him I wanted a new sofa as per my order (and the high price tag) not one fixed up in my house. He was very quick to sort that out and I got my new exchange 1 week later. When I was in store I also inquired about when I would receive any kind of paperwork or bill from the TDFS the financing company and I was told to follow up with TDFS myself. I called TDFS to confirm the financing was in order and was told to wait one month for my first statement. This is now mid March btw.
Towards mid April, I suddenly started receiving daily calls from multiple people asking me to pay up my outstanding TDFS La-Z-Boy account. Apparently I was late on payments for 2 statements. I called TDFS several times and they had my correct mailing address to which they also claimed my statements had been sent. I tried to request these statements to pay up and keep my account in good standing but the TDFS customer care was very pathetic. On one occasion I even asked to speak to a manager and she rudely told me to pay the bill, that's all she kept saying and she threatened me that my credit would be ruined if I didn't pay. I kept trying to explain that I needed a statement to get my bank to process any payment. My bank had declined to transfer money to TDFS without a statement and rightfully so.
Anyway after a lot of stress and so many phone calls later, I drove to the La-Z-Boy store and asked for their help but their response was that I had to sort out whatever issues I had with TDFS or else I had the option to pay out of the financing early in cash or debit at the store. I decided on paying back whatever I was financed for peace of mind and to stop the rude phone calls from TDFS La-Z-Boy asking me to pay up my statement balance. The next day, I figured out how much money I had been financed by La-Z-Boy TDFS and I paid it out in full at the store because I just wanted the ordeal to be done with. This was 3 weeks ago. I then called TDFS and asked them to close my line of credit and send me confirmation. I'm glad this thing is finally over and I received confirmation of zero account balance and account closure from TDFS La-Z-Boy this week.
So the thing is the day before I paid off the entire chunk of cash at the store in SE Calgary, I managed to get a hold of a statement online. Turns out that even if TDFS La-Z-Boy had my correct address, they deliberately left out my unit number so I never received any of the statements which they were hounding me to pay. And a few days after I paid up the entire credit, all the statements mysteriously started coming to my address... another thing is during one of the numerous calls I made to La-Z-Boy TDFS, one customer care agent told me my mail had bounced back to them. Yet all the rest of the other customer care people and very rude manager I spoke to denied that this happened.
All in all, I concluded some one either messed up the statement address and TDFS La-Z-Boy refused to admit it or they just held back those statements so that they could charge me ridiculous interest rates for not paying up on time. So I solved the problem by clearing the whole bill in one go and not giving them a chance to benefit from any interest fees from me. And certainly no future service or not I'm discouraging anyone I know from buying from La-Z-Boy or financing with them... I should have known better than to go back to La-Z-Boy when that salesman told me everything was out of price range... smh. Doesn't he know customers pay his salary?
What a total **. This whole ordeal has been traumatizing and hopefully nothing goes wrong with the furniture because I am not looking forward to another run around with La-Z-Boy. They surely chose an appropriate name. As for TDFS, I think they will cost La-Z-Boy customers. Will be a lifetime before I walk into another La-Z-Boy store.

I have two recliners from La-Z-Boy and we were having problems with it popping and making noises when they're being reclined. They sent a serviceman out, he worked very hard and tried, and finally decided he would just go ahead and replace both motors and another part. So they ordered the parts, and they came in and they worked on them again. Unfortunately, were still having some popping noises. The serviceman turned it over to the next level and I haven't heard back from 'em just yet - this only just happened. But they've been very attentive and they're obviously really trying hard to make things work right.
I've had La-Z-Boy chairs before, and I've always loved them; they're extremely comfortable. They have so many adjustments to its lumbar as well as neck. You can make yourself comfortable. It's like a little slice of heaven. I think they have a real quality product, and while I am having problems with mine I have confidence that they will be able to rectify it.

We ordered two leather chairs in early January and still have no idea if or when they'll be delivered. Repeated calls to the store w/o any response. Ended up having to track down the Asst. Store Manager only to find out he had no idea about the order or when it would be delivered. Didn't hear back, called and finally had to track him down again and he said it would probably be July or August (wasn't sure). Said he tried to call us (he didn't, typical CYA). We're out over $1,800 (paid in full upfront) w/o any furniture and w/o a responsive company. Wanted to cancel the order but they said no, obligated contractually. Terrible customer service, non-responsive, avoid doing business at this location or with the company. Very disappointed.

My wife purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner for approx. $2000 in December 2014. Since that time we have been trying to get it exchanged, as the arms, headrest and seat turn black after a few days of sitting in it. And now after a few minutes of sitting you begin to scratch on your forearms having to rinse off with water. We have been treated terribly, at times rudely, and been sold a piece of crap. ** in the service department had the audacity to suggest we buy armchair covers and head rest covers. This whole experience has been very troubling, as all we expected was a decent product and fair service. We didn't get either.
I have finally given up but will never walk in another store again, and make sure that everyone knows thru social media what despicable service and products La-Z-Boy has. We finally went to Leons and bought an all leather electric recliner for $700 cheaper and the service was fantastic. To you La-Z-Boy and to your staff at your Kingston Ontario store: you don't deserve our business and I hope everyone when they think of recliner they think of POOR SERVICE, POOR QUALITY in KINGSTON ONTARIO. If anyone would like they can buy it from us for $500.

I bought a sofa and a La-Z-Boy recliner two and half years ago. The sofa was falling apart and they sent a repairman and he fixed it temporarily. Advised it would not last long. The recliner was coming apart and went to sew it and the place had been sewn previously. Needless to say, they are selling inferior product. I contacted the store and asked for owner and voice mail came on and he would return my call which has not happened. I should add that I am 79 years old and am not rough on the furniture.

I wanted to get rid of the old set of furniture. I replaced them with La-Z-Boy products. The delivery to the quality of the furniture are great. It was worth the price.

The store on Bayou Blvd took and order a few months back from a friend of mine. They promised her three or four deliveries. None have been kept. Her name is **. When she asked for her money back they told her they would have to charge her a restock fee. How can ya'll charge a restock fee when the product was never unstocked? ** is sick. Now they refuse to return her calls. ** is loved by many in our town of Gulf Breeze so until she is fully reimbursed I will keep posting on social media. I have friends from Washington State to Costa Rica. This will not stop until she is paid back in full, not a promise but cash in hand. Thank you for your attention. Ya'll should really vet your franchise better.

The recliner and tables I got from La-Z-Boy were just what we needed and we liked it. Their representatives at the gallery was very helpful and friendly. They were actually good at helping us find what were looking for - things that go with the different options. What we got were the best furniture we have, definitely worth the money.
With an earlier purchase though, we had issues with the loader/dispatcher. This was a year ago when we bought a couch from them. The product was damaged so when they got here they were gonna send it back and get us a new one. However some guy from the central dispatching area called us up to ask about it and had the entirely wrong information. I feel like they got the wrong file/issue so that the exact same couch was sent during the second delivery. The third delivery was eventually fine but it was all just kinda frustrating. But overall, they've been great.

We purchased two La-Z-Boy recliner chairs in 2005... Shortly after having them delivered we had problems with the foot rests on both chairs staying up. Twice (in the first year) we sent them in to be repaired. Both times they were returned and we were told there was nothing wrong with them.... so we just lived with them being difficult to get the foot rest up and to keep it staying up. A few years ago they started to get so bad that we decided to try fixing them again. The La-Z-Boy store we had purchased them at had closed and we could not get any other La-Z-Boy dealer to repair them for us. They said they would not stand behind a La-Z-Boy bought at a different dealer. Again we were unsuccessful and fell back on just living with it....
Last year pieces started falling off the bottom of the chairs. We were then told that even though they were guaranteed for a lifetime we still had to pay 100.00 an hour for labor to have them repaired. So they just sent us the pieces for us to replace ourselves. Well... we were not meant to be La-Z-Boy repair people... so we lived with it again. Now... it is so bad that we decided to just replace the chairs. After a considerable amount of shopping we have decided that we actually LIKE the chairs we have... we just want them fixed. So we called to see if we could get someone to come replace the broken parts again.
Now we are told that we will have to pay 109.00 for someone to come out and look at it just to give us an estimate. No one will even guess at whether the repairs we need will take 1 hour or several. I'm not about to pay someone 100 bucks to tell me it will be cheaper to buy new chairs... unless someone can give me some quick, acceptable service from La-Z-Boy. I am ready to just "suck it up" and go purchase new furniture from some other dealer.

My son and his wife had purchased La-Z-Boy and they were very happy with it. The lifetime guarantee and its six months, interest-free financing sold me on it. I would always rather do that than pay it out. So far, I like the recliner a lot. When I went there with my son, one of their sales reps helped me look around at all of them and evaluate them for what my needs are. We took home some fabric samples to see what would look good in the house and then we went back the next week. In fact, we got there before the store even opened and they opened up for us. The salesman that I had worked with the week before wasn't there, but another guy was there and he was fantastic. He was great to work with and we got it all done. La-Z-Boy was great and I was very happy.

A word of warning about the Renew Recycled Leather, please avoid this material. We purchased a beautiful sectional from La-Z-Boy; we went in search of a leather sectional and took the sales person's advice as to how wonderful this material was. And, I must admit the roughly $ 2,000.00 savings was very appealing. The sales person told us how wonderful this material was. Even La-Z-Boy's claims on their website sounds great. This recycled leather construction offers similar colors, depth, luster, dimensional grain, and hand-rubbed layered tones as genuine leather, while delivering care-free, high performance reliability year after year. Year after year? After having our sectional for a year and a half is it peeling on the corners and wearing off where the arm and cushion meet.
We contacted La-Z-Boy about the problem we were having. They were willing to have a representative come out to look at our sectional, even though they only warranty this product for one year. After they reviewed the pictures and report, we were told that they find this to be normal wear. We have no children or pets residing in our home, it is just my husband and I. I would assume the amount of wear to our sectional is much less than the wear of a typical home with children and or pets. We are very disappointed in this material, and even more disappointed in La-Z-Boy's response to their product. We asked to receive a credit to use towards repurchasing the same sectional, only covered in real leather.
We had no problem paying the difference for the real leather. But, because they feel that this is normal wear in their product the only thing they were willing to offer was to have someone come out and paint the areas that were wearing off. Paint?! They claim this material offers high performance reliability year after year. Our high performance reliability did not make it to a year and half. By the way, we did purchase the recommended warranty. The warranty does not cover unusual wear of the material. Please do yourself a favor and do not believe their claims of this product, or what the sales person may say about the quality of the renew recycled leather.

The sales representative didn't have to show us La-Z-Boy because we already like their products but he was still very good - showed us how the sofa worked. I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 20 years and recently I bought a sleeper sofa. I like the furniture style, the way it looks, and how long it lasts. The installation team, after they brought the sofa out, cleaned up and went beyond what they needed to do. They were also in and out in a few minutes.

I bought a La-Z-Time sofa and a love seat, both reclining. Very disappointed in both of them. The sofa drags on the carpet when reclining so we have to pull the foot rest up with our hands. The loveseat padding where our heads go has already gone flat after just ONE month! Also, one of the recliners on the loveseat has a catch in it and you have to push really hard to recline it back. I know that's wrong because the other side is smooth. I bought La-Z-Boy because of the name but apparently they are not built like they used to be.

I wanted to replace two chairs I had with recliners and after I did that, I didn't like the sofa I had with the recliners so I bought a sofa too. The sales guy was very helpful and just as nice as he could be. I also met the manager of the store and he was nice too. It was a very great experience. I would go back and buy again from them.

I recently bought a recliner from La-Z-Boy, my first purchase from them. Their sales rep was very helpful, she introduced herself and let me look around. I found her when I had questions, so it was not an overbearing sales call and shopping experience. It was the way I like to shop so I appreciated that. The delivery experience was also non-existent in the sense that they were in and out in probably less than five minutes. They knew what they were doing. They put the chair together and made sure it worked. So far I like my recliner and I would certainly recommend not only La-Z-Boy, but that particular store where I bought it.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for the past 20 years. We recently purchased a chair, ottoman, and some tables and the sales rep was not that great and wasn't that friendly. The only reason we bought it is because I like La-Z-Boy. I have yet to see the quality of the ones we just bought but for the three La-Z-Boy furniture we have had for over 20 years, I have no issues other than they're already faded; but of course, they're old. Hopefully these new ones will last that much. Based on their products, I could definitely recommend La-Z-Boy.

Everything was great with my experience with La-Z-Boy. When I purchased my first La-Z-Boy, I did my research online and found out that it was exactly what I wanted so I went in and ordered it. The reps from their gallery were great and helpful and didn't give me any problems. The delivery team were also fine and I had no problem with them. The quality of the delivered furniture is outstanding.

I have spent this whole day trying to order a new lift control for the La-Z-Boy Medical Recliner! The customer service was AWFUL! When I say AWFUL I mean AWFUL! I was told by the store I purchased it from to call the customer service department which in turn told me to call the parts department which never answered. When I called customer service again they said call the store I bought it from which told me to call the service department, which finally said that they would take an order but I needed to give them an ACK number from the bottom of the foot lift which is stuck in place because the LIFT CONTROL DOESN'T WORK! They said they could send a Tech out to retrieve the number for $99.00! So I said, "Let me see if I could find the number", which turned out was not on the lift but on a tag easily seen on the under frame of the chair.
I called back with the number but they would not finish my order. I asked what is the cost and when would it ship. They gave me no answer. They said they would call me back later. I asked to speak to a supervisor because by now this was just CRAZY! Naturally she is not in! I called their Corporate office and finally got them to mediate and get my order taken. But it will take 2 to 6 weeks to get the Lift control! I don't think I'm WINNING! LOL, LMAO so I don't cry!

First of all I want to say that my shopping experience with the store was a good one. Everything looked good and the staff were very nice. Everything was great up until I took a look at my receipt or invoice and it was not what I thought I was buying. My biggest issue was that the team member who was completing my sale didn't mention until after I already signed the contract that my fabric color choice had to be a special order. This would have been good information because the only reason I chose to keep Shona fabric was because I was told it wouldn't be a special order. They take like 2+ months to receive and Special orders can't be canceled or refunded once placed according to the fine print. So ultimately I feel like I'm forced to settle for something because of an oversight by my associate.
Also the store had on display a Pinnacle console loveseat that had manual ends but had a power console (3 prong outlets and usb in the console). I told them I wanted the same set that was displayed on the floor. Once I looked up the product codes on my receipt I see that I was given the non-power console instead. This made me upset because I was not informed of this at all. Once I called my associate to ask about this she said "it was done to lower the price for you, I'm sorry I should have mentioned that". They let me think they were lowering the price for me to get me to buy knowing I couldn't do anything because it was a special order that can't be canceled refunded or exchanged. When making a purchase like this you don't want to feel regret but I do. I feel manipulated and I should have known better.

We just had a substantial delivery made to our home yesterday. From the sales rep, **, and the interior designer, **'s guidance and advice, we had a very positive experience with La-Z-Boy in the Pineville area. We were excited about going 'out of the box' a bit and were not disappointed. The delivery team of ** and ** were courteous, competent, on time, and very professional. I have had a La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 6 years and we bought a new one since I had surgery and I was uncomfortable with my little cheap chair that I had for a while. The sales rep from the gallery were good, courteous and answered all my questions, even showed me different colors. I bought the La-Z-Boy because of its good quality, in fact, my husband's chair is still in excellent condition. We had the chair picked up and not delivered since my husband had a pick up truck and we lived near the store and warehouse. Unfortunately, the warehouse operates only until 5 pm Tuesday thru Saturday while my husband works until 6 pm. So what the sales rep did for me, which I really appreciated, was she had the La-Z-Boy delivered to the store and she didn't charge me for it and I thought that was really good of her.

We recently purchased sectional, tables and accessories from La-Z-Boy and we've been buying La-Z-Boy recliners for years but this is the first time we bought a whole ensemble of furniture from them to fit into our home when we moved. The furniture that we had before didn't fit into the living room very well and we needed a new recliner for my husband and so we went to the La-Z-Boy store and so we ended up with a whole sectional. Their sales representatives were great. They're very knowledgeable and helpful. The delivery went very well. They gave us the information about when they were going to come and showed up when they were supposed to. The quality of the furniture is very nice. We're really happy with it. We'll buy more furniture from them. We just purchased another end table to go with the whole ensemble just a couple of weeks ago so we'll keep going back to at least to that store at West Palm Beach for quite some time.

I recently had my first purchase (a sofa, loveseat and sleeper sofa) from La-Z-Boy. We just bought a new house so we purchased new furniture. The sales representative was really nice. He helped us pick out everything. I told them that I wanted a recliner that rocked and he said we can actually get it so that was pretty cool. Also, he showed us the couch loveseat and it's super comfortable. I love it. He was informative about everything.
Delivery has been good for the most part. We got everything delivered except for the loveseat. I guess there was a crack in the loveseat and that had to be repaired and we are going to finally get that on Tuesday. It's been a little frustrating waiting for that because we actually have a housewarming party tomorrow. Besides that, delivery went good. The guys were super cool, brought and put everything together.

It was difficult getting information from the sales representatives from La-Z-Boy's gallery. It was hard to nail down a timeframe when I'll get the furniture. Also, they claim that since they were a privately-owned store, not a corporate one, they do not have the ability to give current information about my order. It ended up being 14 weeks. Furthermore, the sectional I purchased seemed to not have enough stuffing in the back portions. I'm angry at my experience with La-Z-Boy.

I had very good experience with La-Z-Boy, however, I don't understand why I have to open another account with Synchrony Bank when I already have one that was active with La-Z-Boy. They wouldn't let me use it so they made me run another credit report and all that and I felt that was a little overkill.

My old stuff was falling apart that's why I purchased a sofa, love seat, recliner and a few other things from La-Z-Boy. The quality of my purchase was good. Interactions with their people were all very good just as well. Everybody inside the store is very pleasant and helpful. Somebody actually came out to our home and helped us get a plan and pick out pieces so it was awesome.

We just purchased two Grayson rocking recliners yesterday and so far love them. We are a bit regretful now that we didn't get the electric option so we could stop the rocking. Or is there an retro option to put on the rocking mechanism to switch off and on the rocking?

My old furniture were ugly and I hated them so I did my first ever purchase from La-Z-Boy. I got a sofa, loveseat, chair, and ottoman. The first representative I met at their gallery was wonderful. She insisted that I have their free designer come and he was also wonderful. The delivery guys were friendly and did a very quick and thorough job. To add to all that, I think the quality of the furniture that I got is good. So I'd definitely recommend La-Z-Boy.

I've recently bought a chair from La-Z-Boy. I've had three other chairs over the years and each year it's greater, so they are nice. The sales reps were very good and professional. Delivery was on time too. This chair is the first I've had with the extra foam so I haven't gotten used to it yet.

We ordered $8537 worth of furniture/rugs 8/29/14, not delivered until 11/04/14. We were told it would take 4-6 wks. Delivery a total disaster! Took forever to get things resolved...there is no store manager! Took all the joy out of it!

I put a deposit on a rather expensive leather couch and sofa on 1/25/2015. It is now May and I have yet to receive my furniture. After waiting the initial 5 weeks that I was told it would be for delivery, I called at 6 weeks only to be told that my furniture was not ready and that it would be an additional 8 weeks. Since then I have called the corporate office many times only to be told that there is nothing that they can do because each store is independently owned. I have spoken with my salesperson, the store manager and the district manager and still there is no resolve to my situation. In fact every time I speak with someone the date that my furniture will be delivered continues to be extended.
As of today I was told that they would work on getting the furniture to me by the first week in June. They state that the reason for the delay is a leather shortage but this was never mentioned to me the day that I decided to purchase the furniture. I have demanded a refund of my deposit several time to no avail. The lack of communication and terrible customer service is completely unacceptable. La-Z-Boy seems to think that offering a $150 gift card to Ruth's Chris is going to make me feel better about the fact that they have had my money for 5 months and I do not have my product.
I would not ever recommend making a purchase from this company. My experience has been one that I have never experienced in my life. If you ever want to buy furniture DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Specifically the Spanish Fort, AL location.

We recently had our first purchase, a recliner, from La-Z-Boy. I'm actually 7 or 8 months pregnant and wanted to upgrade my nursing chair to a recliner. The sales representative was very helpful. I appreciated that she was hands-off enough that I was able to explore by myself and find out what I wanted but right there whenever I have questions or concerns. I love the quality of the recliner.

My experience with La-Z-Boy was pleasant. The salespeople were very nice and I even commended them to their manager because they were so kind. I wish I could just get my things a little faster but I understand that things take time. I love my furniture and I certainly have no complaints. It's expensive but it's worth it so I'd rather pay for quality.

We purchased our loveseat and sofa in October of 2013. By October of 2014 we started noticing random parts falling off of the recliner when we reclined the loveseat every now and again. We placed these parts in a zip-lock bag, but thought it was something else as the recliner was still functioning. Fast forward to in April/May 2015. Our recliner on one side of the loveseat is not functioning well. I tried to call warranties several times, and even called the store for assistance. The warranty department finally called Friday, May 1, 2015 per the request of the store. I explained the problem to the warranty rep. She claims she is the supervisor when requesting to speak to one. She wanted to charge me $99 for the rep to come out and look at my loveseat, and then charge me for labor. I can tell her what is wrong with the loveseat...the pieces are falling off!
Come Sunday May 3, 2014, the problematic recliner completely broke. My fiance had to tilt the couch back to try and rectify the situation. Now we are unable to recline that side of the loveseat at all. Yet we have only had this loveseat for a year and a half. The quality is very poor. The craftsmanship is very poor, oh yes, and did I mention that they had to replace this loveseat already once? I am so angry. We spent over $2000 on this set and I feel like I just threw money away. So incredibly disappointed and I would like a functioning loveseat. I guess that is asking too much. Maybe I should take the loveseat down to the warehouse myself with my newborn to avoid the home visit fee of $99. Just ridiculous.

I went to the La-z-boy store on February 22 with the intent of purchasing a sofa and loveseat, along with side tables and anything else that caught my eye for my living room. The sales people were great and we ended up ordering a sofa, loveseat, side tables, and a bench costing almost $6000 (after accounting for the sale they had on). They promised delivery in 6-8 weeks. I believe I was quite consistent in telling the folks that timing of delivery was of utmost importance to me.
On March 16, I received a voicemail simply stating that my furniture was delayed. When I called back, they explained that my order was delayed because the leather we selected was not in stock (note that this was ~4 weeks after my order was taken). I asked whether it'd be possible to have another dark brown leather and have it delivered on time, but they said no... because the same thing could happen again since they have no visibility into what leathers/fabrics are available. So they provided me with a discount.
A few weeks later, they called again to tell me that my furniture was delayed again because of the same issue. This time to at least June 20. I again requested that they get me another dark brown leather and they told me the same thing. So they provided me with another discount. Per my initial statement, timing of delivery was very important to me. At this point, I'm not sure how La-Z-Boy will address this. I'd appreciate better clarity into when my furniture definitely will be delivered, possibility of another dark brown leather being provided so my furniture can be delivered sooner, and/or significant compensation to make this right. Unfortunately, I'm not a happy camper at the moment.
Note: I think the La-Z-Boy store people have been excellent. I hope that the La-Z-Boy corporate folks will be able to address this for me, as I think it is on their end that these issues are occurring. My understanding is that folks in the store have simply been a messenger of bad news and aren't empowered to fix the situation with their supply chain - - which I believe is unfortunate management by La-Z-Boy.

We recently purchased a sectional and a recliner with La-Z-Boy. We already have two rocker recliners from them before. We decided to give our stuff as hand-me-downs and get new ones. It was funny because the first time we went in, we bought a sofa, love seat and then we left and came back shortly, and bought a rocker recliner, and then about an hour later we came back and bought the second rocker recliner. The whole sales staff was there again and gave us a good experience. The delivery guys were friendly and careful. I love the quality of the furniture so far so I would recommend La-Z-Boy.

We recently moved in a new house and needed to update our furniture. We picked the La-Z-Boy since we liked the sale representatives, very kind and helpful. We purchased the furniture worth 5000$, waited for two months to be delivered. Four out of five products were defective. We were so concerned about the quality. The store designer mentioned that products are going to be repaired and shipped again. I was requesting to cancel the order one of the items (dining table which had a very bad balance and was a real safety issue.) The store insisted on delivery.
The CSR at the headquarters was very impolite, her Supervisor did not want to get to the phone. They have been repeating over and over again that it is the responsibility of the store and basically there are no refunds. The Store that does not call me back! We have no money, no furniture and very bad aftertaste of a whole experience. I hope that after posting this message somebody responsible will try to contact us. Our store is in Cranberry, Pa.

I'm very happy with La-Z-Boy. We purchased our first recliner for our home in Wisconsin, but we have another home where we bought four recliners down in Alabama. Their quality is very good except my recliners are very lightweight. And when I sit down and get up, they tend to scoot so I have to keep pulling them forward. But I've fixed that and I've put something on the bottom to make it stick to the carpet.

Our first La-Z-Boy furniture was about 8 to 10 years ago. Recently we purchased a sofa, some chairs, and an ottoman from them again. Their sales reps have all been pleasant and the furniture's quality is very good. The delivery team were wonderful and they even moved the furniture around for me until I was satisfied. The only issue is they originally wouldn't let us take swatches out of the store. But they finally agreed to let me take one home to match with other colors. However, the interior designer brought out certain ones and we didn't decide on any so I had to go back and look again. It was almost a bit of a farce on that end. It's hard to look at fabrics and swatches under poor lighting so it's almost impossible to make a choice without taking them out. They made me feel like I was asking to cut their right arm off but that was my only problem with them. As far as the furnishings and the furniture, we were very pleased.

La-Z-Boy has excellent service and delivery. We were looking for a specific layout and we walked into their showroom one day just for grins, and there was the exact thing we wanted. There were two sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery and both of them were excellent, the furniture we got has 100% quality. Everything went very well when scheduling our delivery, and the delivery guys that came, they were even better.

I moved so I needed new furniture. I bought a recliner, sofa, ottoman, and tables from La-Z-Boy. The sales rep answered all my questions but it took two months to get the furniture delivered. When they finally came to deliver though, the staff were very efficient. They had me check everything and everything was fine.

The couch and chair we were delivered was not the same quality that we had sat on in the store. The couch frame already broke! We spent $4,000.00 on junk! It's not comfortable at all. We never took the tags off of the couch because it just felt different but at the time they had delivered it I had just had surgery so I wasn't up to going back to the store to sit on the floor model again. When we finally did go back to the store and sat on the floor model we knew for sure it was different than what they delivered to us. We have been talking to many people at La-Z-Boy and their customer service and even their Corporate office to get this corrected. My husband took two days off of work to be home for La-Z-Boy to come to our house. And nothing was done either time.
Their Customer service is the worst ever and very rude! We have been trying to get them to fix this since February and still NOTHING! THEY DON'T LISTEN! The Managers are NEVER IN AND DON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS! This was an investment for us. We aren't rich! We just want what we paid for. This is our second time purchasing from La-Z-Boy. Our first was many many years ago when we bought a couch and two rocking recliners but now the quality of the furniture and the service is worse than at any business that I have ever seen. We feel like we could have got the same thing for a lot less at big lots. We wanted quality furniture that would last for many years but this junk hasn't even lasted a year.

Recliners are not locked together. Leather on cushions was loose. La-Z-Boy repadded cushions. Back rest padding is collapsing and leather is loose. Their rep advised us this is as good as it is going to be. Emailed La-Z-Boy with no reply. We now cover our recliners with covers to hide the material. We are so disappointed as we have had the recliners for only 8 months.

We no longer like our old furniture so we visited the La-Z-Boy gallery and we loved the entire experience. The sales reps were very helpful. They offered to come to our house and do a home consultation mostly to pick out fabrics. What we picked out was so hideous in our house. Some of the samples they brought was very nice so we went with some of the samples they brought. We bought a sofa, recliners, and an ottoman. The delivery went very well but we're still waiting on one table. The quality so far is very good.

I ordered a sofa and two leather rocker/recliners on Jan 22, 2015. I was called about two months ago saying one recliner and the sofa had been received. They asked if I wanted it delivered or wait for the second recliner. I said I would wait. Well....no one knew where the recliner was, or what the problem was. I was told that the La-Z-Boy store(Cerritos, CA) has no phone number to contact the factory, so they have to wait for answers to their emails. To make a long story short, a blemish in the leather on the second chair, chair to be remade, I called today, no call back. A big break down between factory and store. Store has tried to be helpful.

I would never purchase anything from them again as long as I live in this area. Perhaps another store might be better. It was just not a nice experience. There was nothing good about it except for the delivery people who were very nice. They did an excellent job. And then we had a couple of issues with the manager, assistant manager and the girl who was supposedly called the decorator so it was just bad. It was a very large purchase so if anyone's gonna spend the amount of money I spent on furniture, they would not appreciate it in any way, shape or form. The initial salesperson I talked to was a nice person, but everybody else could have cared less. Whether I would have spent $50.00 or $300,000.00 to them, it did not matter. They were dishonest and I think the store will never change. It just upsets me.

First off I paid for delivery and set up. Secondly I purchased a 5 year warranty - the chair is electric. When my chair was delivered the movers had a hard time getting the chair in the house and had the foot rest extended fully. The chair started making hard thumbs when using the leg rest and initially the chair was not set up correctly, being the back was not connected to the chair correctly one side was not in the slots to hold the back to the chair. After two days of wondering what was wrong with it I found it was not put together right and checked online to see how to connect the back. As I was doing that I notice that a spring was laying on the floor that belonged to the chair. The spring had been stretched out of proportion and could not be reattached (I believe it was from lifting the chair by the open leg rests.. so the spring was stretched so bad that it would not stay on).
I called La-Z-boy about the loud clanging when I lift the leg rest and the spring. They did replace the spring but refuse to acknowledge the chair is making abnormal noise when I bring the legs rest up... (it starts making a loud clunking noise and you can feel it hitting hard). It can't be normal and if it is, this is the worst designed chair in the world. Who wants to hear loud clunking every time you use your chair? La-Z-boy has come out before the person that came out last was extra rough on the chair trying to show me that it's not going to break but would you want your furniture treated like that? It's a bit disrespectful. The bottom line is I am totally unhappy with this chair (BECAUSE IT ISN'T WORKING RIGHT!). I have made it clear I don't like that loud clunking. It always come from the right same side as the stretched out spring was on.
And this is the deal, my wife is in hospice and dying from cancer and I have the chair next to her bed, the idea was that I could sleep in the chair if needed when she is sick. But the chair is so loud and makes us nervous and it startles my wife and reminds us how we have been treated over this defective chair... We paid over 1200.00 for this chair and I have never felt so ripped off In my life. The person coming out says they will back the chair but don't call unless the chair is broken in pieces. So for my warranty to work, the chair has to be literally BROKEN like an arm falling off or??? I would never purchase another La-Z-boy product. Anyone can have a bad item once in awhile or make a mistake with assembly but not making 1 right is unacceptable...
The warranty is lousy, they have shown no intentions on making this right.. They just come out and if I wasn't going through so much with my wife being so sick I would be getting a lawyer. I don't have the energy or fight left in me or time to deal with this. Try being a caregiver to your wife and deal with La-Z-boy that has been out here twice and should have made this right - it's apparent this could go on forever..... You win La-Z-boy. I'm the loser but you have lost me as a customer. I am not pursuing this any longer. It's 1200 dollars I might as well of given to charity, I would be feeling a whole lot better if I had.... If it's that important to La-Z-boy not to make this right good on you. Personally I could never do someone this way...

We purchased 2 new La-Z-Boy recliners for $990 each and they were delivered mid January 2015. The leather on the back portion wrinkled and became very baggy in just a few months. I called the store and complained. They delivered new chairs and the same bagginess happened after just 1 day! (We sit in the chairs for just a few hours in the evening.) They were sold to me as real leather but I have my doubts that this is leather. The regional manager re-stuffed the chair and brought them back to my house. The back still wrinkles down when you sit in the chair and you feel a loose flap of leather on your lower back. I was still not satisfied so again, for the 3rd time, they are ordering me new ones in hopes for better foam and material. In the meantime, every time they bring in new chairs, I have to reschedule my life and they damage my trim and walls when moving furniture. Such an inconvenience!
La-Z-Boy was always my favorite furniture company and I'm so sad that they would provide a product that is such poor quality. We have owned many La-Z-Boy items in the past and it seems that after 2007, things have been very poor quality. Sadly, I won't buy from them again.

My couch was delivered and the fabric does not match the sample from the store. My couch is many shades darker. I did sign for them upon delivery only after repeatedly telling the guy I think he was delivering the wrong couches. He never gave me the option of declining delivery. I went back to the store with one of the pillows that were delivered. I retrieved the sample fabric and spoke with the store manager and 2 other employees. They all agreed that there was a problem. The store manager said she would see what she could do. I was under the strong impression that they would take back the couches (which would have been the fair and right thing to do) and I would be able to choose a new fabric...so much so that I cancelled the delivery of the final and major portion of the couch...the chaise lounge section.
After a week of multiple calls (and not one returned call) to the store manager, I was just informed that that there's nothing they can do. The design consultant made the decision without ever seeing the sample and my pillow together. This is a $6,000 couch that I do not want. We put $3,000 down and I either want my money back or a new couch. The store is located in Cerritos, California. The store manager's name is **.

Purchased 2 La-Z-Boy Recliners and the salesman mentioned that it was new, never used before brand of fabric. It took 3 months to get the recliners because of the new fabric. The recliners were delivered 3/19/2014. This past winter we noticed that both recliners had a worn spot on the footrest. By February my recliner's footrest fabric had worn to the padding underneath. Unfortunately, I didn't contact the store for warranty service until third week of April, 2015. I missed the deadline by less than 4 weeks and there is nothing they will do. It started wearing through long before the warranty ended, I just failed to contact them soon enough. Their warranty department told me I am responsible for reupholstering my 2 recliners because I didn't report it in the time frame.
I would think that the fabric La-Z-Boy uses would last longer than a year (actually started wearing at about the 9th month). I am stuck with two very expensive recliners that have worn through spots on the footrest of the recliners. I believe this new fabric is inferior. I have had La-Z-Boy recliners before and the fabric did not wear through to the padding.

We purchased a Rex Sectional Sofa, less than one year ago and have had a technician come out twice. The sofa squeaks and groans when you sit down on it (my husband and I are both under 150 lbs - we are not heavy people). The cushions are sagging in, the couch is very flimsy and feels like it is made of cheap particle board holding up sinking sagging cushions. The technician acknowledged there was a problem, but told us "not to lay on a sofa," you're "only supposed to sit in an upright position". I looked at him stunned! This is his explanation on why our sofa groans and creaks and is sagging in when we have had it less that 1 year!?
We happened to see the Store Manager from Timonium, MD 1 week ago - we told him the sofa is a piece of crap and totally defective. He took down our name and number and said he would investigate it and call us back - we have not heard from him. The sofa is completely defective, we paid over $2,700 for a defective couch only to have a technician tell us its our fault for laying on the sofa. We want a full refund or a store credit very minimum. Please make this good La-z Boy, and stand behind your product!

I cannot begin to explain how frustrating it is to deal with poorly run companies. I purchased a power rocker recliner, in Nov. 2014. I purchased it so I would have the chair ready when I was recovering from spinal surgery. Unfortunately, La-Z-Boy, in the rudest fashion possible, ruined that plan for me. When the chair arrived, the padding was so poor you could feel the chair frame through the armrests and back, the metal bar in the headrest and the square block which was supposed to be lumbar support. Also, the terrible squeaking sound from the rocking and the skipping of the footrest as it was raising, was enough for me to call La-Z-Boy.
La-Z-boy sent a technician. I watched him pretend to grease the springs even though he and I both knew his grease bottle was empty. I am pretty sure he was loaded. I offered to let him use my oil and he refused. It was seriously ridiculous:) like something in a comedy on TV. He then told me the padding was in fact terrible and he would order me a new back and padding for the arm rests. He said the squeaking would go away as the grease worked in. Of course, the squeaking never stopped and the chair actually got worse.
I called back La-Z-Boy immediately and went through the exhausting and abrasive customer service exercise, again. This time La-Z-Boy customer service was extremely rude and the repair company told me I needed to wait 6 weeks for parts to arrive, until they would send another tech. While controlling my blood pressure I kindly asked the repair company if they would please, please, send out another tech. Yes, I had to resort to begging. They agreed. The tech arrived and he told me there was nothing he could do. He said the entire frame was loose and all the padding was bad. He said I needed a new chair. Mind you, I bought this chair for my comfort as I would recover from my SPINAL SURGERY.
Long story longer, I had to be berated by customer service and fight for a chair replacement. The supervisor was so rude, I actually asked her if there was something I had done to anger her...The tech said he would send the report that everything needed to be replaced, but he was not allowed to decide if I needed a new chair. Ludicrous! After some discussion, I was approved for a new chair. Some days later, the paperwork was approved for me to get a new chair. I was told I had to call the store and arrange everything. What a joke! When I inquired about how long that was going to take, I was told 6 weeks. I did not have a working chair for my recovery from spinal surgery. In fact, it was miserable. I now sit in my weeks old, brand new chair and just got off the phone with customer service. I requested a technician to come out and deal with the worsening squeaking and clicking in the springs, as the chair rocks.
La-z-Boy should be ashamed of themselves. They bring down the name of this great country and its workforce, every time they mention the products are American Made. American Made is not something you can just say, it is horn in your actions and the quality of the care put into the product. "American Made" is to showcase the great strengths of our manufacturing and workforce; it is not something that should be taken lightly. I have been treated poorly by La-Z-Boy and they disrespect the flag every time they pretend like they care about the consumer.
Updated on May 2, 2015: My power recliner squeaks when rocking. This chair is a replacement of my previous chair (frame stability issues), which too, was only months old. NEW CHAIR: The technician was at my house Thursday April 30th at 8:45 am. He took off the backing, tightened bolts on either side of the backing, and the squeak went away. Today is Saturday May 2nd. Less than 48 hours later the squeak is back and just as bad. I called Customer service 15 minutes ago and was told the earliest they could get a technician to me was Friday May 8th. I requested Customer Service email the technicians to try and find an earlier date, after being told this was the only option. This will be the 4th time I have had a La-Z-Boy technician to my house.
My last review was disputed by La-Z-Boy for factual discrepancies. I have never been provided any documentation regarding what parts of my previous review were not factual. I have in fact, in a written message to the help desk at consumeraffairs.com, offered documentation to support my previous review. I have not been contacted by anyone. I did not lie nor did I embellish in my previous review or this one. In my previous review I said things that I am sure were hard for La-Z-Boy to hear and I did give my opinion of their company. My opinion is based entirely on my interaction with the Customer Service and Warranty Department of La-Z-Boy, as well as supervisors within those departments.

I first bought La-Z-Boy furniture about ten years ago and I liked it, so I bought a new recliner from them recently. It's a good chair and the quality is very good. The sales rep and the delivery team did a good job. La-Z-Boy's a good company to deal with so I'm satisfied with them.

My family and I went into your Greenville, Sc location and got no help at all. We walked around looking for a little and still no one said a thing to us. So I went looking for someone to help us and no one ever came. Probably spent over an hr in the store without so much as someone even saying hello. But all the older couples (people that looked like the could afford it) were being helped in no time, even ones who came in after us. Guess your employees didn't think my family could afford to buy from your company, well little did they know my husband had enough cash in his wallet to purchase a whole new set and then some. Oh well your loss.

I'm on my second La-Z-boy recliner as the first one had so many problems. They replaced it with the same model. The current chair has even more problems with the rocker springs making all kinds of noise. The repair guys are very nice but this is getting ridiculous. I will never buy La-Z-boy again.

I got a sofa recliner and a love seat from La-Z-Boy. The sales rep at the gallery was really nice and I was extremely happy with the delivery guys too. It was raining, they boarded my furniture and everything was wrapped up well, and they were very careful. I like the set I bought, but I'm not so sure about the recliner's quality. It makes a lot of noise when I push it up and down. Then again, I'm happy and I would recommend La-Z-Boy. I'd probably go back there again.

I had La-Z-Boy furniture for probably 20 years. We decided to buy a new recliner because the mechanism in my old one wouldn't stay tilted back anymore. When we visited their gallery, they showed us what they had and helped me find one that actually set my body which is what I needed. I like the quality of La-Z-Boy. The material is great but it's a lot more expensive this time. It was the chair that fit my body the best and it's very comfortable, but I'm not real thrilled. I'm also having trouble getting used to the color because it's old fashioned.

Bought some furniture on 11/23/2014. It was delivered on 1/7/2015. 30 Days later the recliner broke. La-Z-Boy promptly picked it up for repair. Since early February they have been waiting on parts to fix it. It is now April 24th. Every time I call to inquire about it it takes almost two weeks before I get a return phone call. No one seems to have a sense of urgency to get it repaired. I assume this is business as usual at La-Z-Boy. I just filled out an online complaint... we'll see how far that goes. :-(

Everything was wonderful with La-Z-Boy. I've never had a better experience. The deliverers were wonderful and everything was just perfect. I bought a recliner for my boyfriend a few months ago, but he just passed, unfortunately. I still have my recliner and I love it. This is my second purchase so that's where I go when I need stuff. I'd recommend them to anybody.

The recliner and big man’s chair that I bought from La-Z-boy are nice. The guys that delivered my furniture were great. This is my first purchase from La-Z-boy but my parents have had them before. My mom had the one that has electric and less chair stuff. I bought that one for her. We had a little bad experience but I made her go down and check it out and I reckon the quality of them now have changed a lot since the time she had one.

We purchased two sofas displayed on 4.19.2015 from display on showroom floor. Beige color (in stock) came greenish. Delivered from stock on 4.21.2015. We went to store next day within their 3 day allocation and took picture. The follow day sent to corporate and Corporate office said, "Within quality control." They want to charge $900 Restocking fee (30%) to exchange; no refund if we buy something else only. See photo -- we laid sample over floor model. Corporate said exactly same color, no green showing, and it is beautiful sofa! Never buy from La-Z-Boy if you want any consumer service! Additional, they may be color-blind. The color name is Sand. Have you ever seen green sand?

Purchased a recliner and love seat, within 8 month the frame work was being felt through the arm rests and the chassis under one side of the sofa needed to be replaced. This all started with a call in the first week of Jan. The representative from La-Z Boy came to our home on Jan 19th 2015. Created a work order for the repairs, the end of the sofa needed to be reupholstered. 3 or 4 weeks later they took the sofa to be repaired, also the love seat had a piece of metal starting to come through the seat cushion. A week later they returned the sofa and picked up the love seat. They replaced the 2 ends of the sofa with part that had a different fabric. We called that day, it still has not been corrected.
Our love seat has been at their repair shop since Feb. 22nd, still waiting for replacement parts. We would like to have our money back so we can buy some furniture to have at our house. They said that it was a custom order so no chance at a refund. We ordered this which was the same as the floor model that we were sitting on when we picked the fabric and ordered the furniture.
Today is April 23, the repair shop called to let me know that Company had sent them an Email telling them to continue repairs on the love seat. They won't get the part until around the 28th of April, so the love seat has been in their shop for over 2 months, and the sofa still needs to be repaired correctly. Tell all your friends and family to stay away from LA-Z BOY. Wish I had financed the crap, that way if you stop paying they would come take it, don't pay cash!!!

Our relationship with La-Z-Boy furniture extends back to our first sofa after our marriage some 35 five years ago. Through many moves and purchases from La-Z-Boy stores across the country we have always been satisfied and I admit, comfortable. On February 25, 2015 we purchased a sofa and 2 pillows. The sofa was promptly delivered on February 27, 2015 and is just as we ordered. The pillows were rejected and sent back with the driver as they were paisley and not the same material as the sofa as we were told. We had a discussion with the sales associate at the time of purchase and my wife was very specific that the paisley pillows were not acceptable and that pillows with material matching the sofa were the only acceptable product. The sales associate assured us we would receive the matching pillows.
I telephoned the Fredericksburg, VA La-Z-Boy store after the driver departed and explained the reason for rejecting the pillows. The store associate said they would check with management. I later received a telephone call and was told that the sales associate was new and the manager would make the sale right by getting pillows that matched the sofa material. It would however take about 6 weeks.
On April 22, 2015, having not received any communication from La-Z-Boy in excess of 6 weeks, I telephoned the local store. I was told that the computer had everything marked as completed. But, management would be consulted and I would receive a return phone call. Now after a 24 hour wait with no communication, I can see that there is a problem that needs to be raised to get resolution. This seems a small matter that could have been easily resolved. Having experienced La-Z-Boy store customer service across the US, I fully understand this is only a local store management issue.

We purchased a sofa ten weeks ago. The delivery date was estimated at 6-8 weeks. I have called the store several times to inquire about our sofa. There's been promises of emails and call backs and I have heard nothing and none of my emails have been answered. No one seems to care and the customer service is lacking. For $3000 this is extremely unacceptable and I will never shop la-Z-boy again.

We have purchased a 3-seater reclining sofa and a reclining love seat (Beige Color, microfiber), more than a year ago from La-Z-Boy, El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA store. That store has moved to Steven Creek, San Jose, CA now. I have a severe safety complaint for this product. My daughter (12 year) was playing on the living room floor in front of the sofa and she jumped with joy on the sofa facing the back of sofa, on knees to sit. Her right knee hit the frame support between the cushions so hard that it partially tore patellar tendon tissue in her knee.
She had to go through MRI and now she is on crutches and knee immobilizer. These models are poorly designed and if you put your finger between the cushions on join, it will land directly on hidden frame bars, which are too risky for the kids as they always jump and play. Along with this feedback/complaint, I have to get rid of this thing immediately. I would appreciate the suggestion/options from your side.

About 4 years ago we purchased from Aldis a 3 seater sofa with a 2 seater sofa and a single armchair. I then took out an insurance to cover any problems that we could have with these items. I recently noticed that one side of the 3 piece sofa was lower than the other seats. I informed Aldis and they told me to contact the insurance company. I did this and a representative of the company visited us. His response to the problem was that the foam had compressed and that we should vary the seating so that all of the seats were used in rotation. I am very unhappy with this. We purchased a top range suite and unfortunately have not had the kind of service that we expected. It would maybe been better to select a cheaper unit and replaced it after 4 years.

I ordered sofa and loveseat from my local store. I specifically asked sales rep about delivery time frame as I was planning for house warming party. They gave me 8 to 12 weeks window and assured it will be delivered in 10 weeks. On the day of delivery, they called us saying our furniture arrived broken and could not be delivered. They asked us to wait for a week. Later on, they told us they are ordering a new piece of furniture.
I called them after two weeks to get the status of my order as I have family visiting and there is no place to sit. Store manager tells me they are waiting for the part to fix the furniture. She did not really care at all about how inconvenient it would be for me to have all these people in house without a place to sit. Her explanations were "things happen", "world is not perfect", "one of Ashley's customer had to wait 18 weeks so we are not that bad". I asked her about current ETA. She refused to give me any time frame as they never get it right. She tried to convince me that they have my furniture in their store ready for delivery if I like with the exception of it being broken.
She thinks La-Z-Boy kept it promise by making it available in their store. I had ordered other furniture earlier from other local store. They were late by two weeks. I got updates from them few times. It arrived last week. As a good gesture, they slashed the price of my furniture by 40% as I had to host my family without bedroom furniture. La-Z-Boy really needs to learn about good customer service. I wish I looked at this website and many other before even stepping into their store. MY BEST ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY LA-Z-BOY. THEY HAVE LAZY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

As a loyal La-Z-Boy customer, I was disappointed in a corporate policy during my most recent purchase. Specifically, I attempted to purchase a showroom recliner to fill an immediate need. After identifying the recliner of my choice in the showroom, I was advised that the chosen recliner was part of a new vignette series and not available for immediate purchase. Rather, this unit would need to be ordered with an expected delivery of 2-3 months from point of sale. As a result, I had to settle for a less desirable recliner to meet my needs. I am disappointed that La-Z-Boy advertises products for sale in their showrooms that are not stocked and available for pick-up or delivery from their warehouse.

For 20 years our old leather sofas happily endured wear and tear due to my open house policy for my sons friends as they gathered around the television, ate and yelled and laughed at the TV. My family room was always filled with happy noises. Then my husband was diagnosed with cancer and the house grew quiet as he couldn't walk due to a growing tumor. So again our leather sofas were used as beds as my husband lay on one and the family took turns sleeping on the other to keep him company or if he needed help. When my husband passed away I couldn't look at the sofas without seeing him in his final days. So I decided to finally replaced them.
So what did I do? I went to La-Z-Boy. I selected a sectional that sits easy 7 people. I was looking forward to the day my family room filled with laughter again. Well, the sectional arrived, but there is a problem - they don't stay closed!!! They have a PLASTIC latch that is used for this design. I called La-Z-Boy and they sent a technician over. Because the latches are not broken, they don't have to be replaced. What they are is DEFECTIVE. If they don't do what they are supposed to do then it's time to seek new alternatives.
Their solution? Plastic Zip-ties. Seriously??? What a joke!!!! This is a bandage remedy, eventually the zip-ties will snap and again I will have to call La-Z-Boy to correct the problem. Not only that with the opening and closing of the sofa are scratching my wooden floors. Again I called La-Z-Boy and was given the run around. In a nutshell - those are the latches, they are not broken, deal with it. I will not deal with, nor recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone!!!

My husband wanted a recliner chair for quite some time now and the La-Z-Boy sales rep was absolutely wonderful. She helped us with everything possible. We had a great experience with her. The delivery team was so quick; they were in and out. I asked them how to lock the chair. It's also a swivel and they quickly showed me and that was it. We love the chair and we got it on sale too. It was just absolutely excellent, painless experience.

About three years ago I bought La-z boy Texas recliner, white leather, thinking they would last me a lifetime. They looked great, they were super comfortable and the La-z boy brand has a good name, so naturally I assumed I was buying a good product, and didn't mind the hefty price tag. I waited 3 months for these to arrive, only to find out that they were made in China, not the USA as I had thought. After about a year the comfortable had turned into flat and hard. I called the store and they, in fact, sent someone out to have the chair in question, the one I am sitting on all the time, refilled.
Ever since then the recliner mechanism isn't as smooth anymore. Ok, but I was willing to live with that. But now the leather is starting to split. Mainly in the back rest, but also on the arm rests. The leather attracts stains, and is very hard to clean. The recliner looks like it's 20 years old, and has never been cared for. I will contact the supplier, but I don't have much hope that it will be fixed. The warranty doesn't cover the fabric, as far as I know. Besides, I shouldn't have these issues in the first place, if this were a quality product. So angry that I didn't buy from Super A-mart, would have paid at least $3000.- less and probably received better quality. I feel terribly ripped off. I can't even sell these duds, who would want to buy them?

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for roughly six months. We bought other chairs from La-Z-Boy about three months ago and most recently, we purchased a recliner from them. We moved and we were updating our look so we decided it was time to purchase new furniture. Everywhere that we've been, we have had great service from the sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery. We bought some chairs in Saint Louisville and the store manager and the guy that we worked with were both very good. The quality of the furniture we received was excellent. I think it's well priced. It was a good overall experience.

We purchased a sectional, recliner chair and a couple of other items from La-Z-Boy. We looked at 5 places and we like the furniture better at La-Z-Boy, and everybody there was nice to us and actually sent a designer to the house to do everything. That worked out good. The furniture is great. The recliner, there are a couple of places where something wasn't stitched, but they're going to come look at it.
I like the sales staff. Everybody was friendly and had something to say about. They had different ideas. They went over everything and showed us different things. We're happy with everything. We're happy with the people who work there. The delivery guys got here when they said they were. I've recommended La-Z-Boy.

On March 18, 2014, I bought a La-Z-Boy Power Recliner. The power box went out in two weeks. The Lubbock, Tx. store brought a new power supply on April 8, 2014. Quit working again. New power supply May 1, 2014. 3rd time -- Feb. 3, 2015. 4th time March 3, 2015! Now it is April 17, 2015! Still waiting for Power Box that they have in stock, but refuse to deliver. Any ideas what I am supposed to do? Everyone gives me the runaround and I have basically bought a chair that does not recline for $1200. Do not buy anything from La-Z-Boy in Lubbock, Tx.

We purchased 2 La-Z-boy sofas which were brand new but ex-display. We've owned many leather sofas and buying la-z-boy we figured we'd be getting even better quality than usual. But these are the worst quality sofas I have ever owned. Genuinely. The dark brown colour has worn off, revealing a pink patches. It looks like the sofas are twenty years old, when in-fact they're only 2 years old. This is definitely the first and last La-z-boy product we will ever buy.

First furniture took longer than promised. When we called Customer Service they could not give ETA and did not return calls as promised. Finally receive furniture, and immediately find nut on floor under sofa. Belonged to foot-easy fix. Then heard something drop out of bottom of chair. Pin fell out and most were not fully engaged. Also power sofa had hitch when reclining. Customer Service said Tech could only come on Tuesdays in our service area. Guess they expected us to take time off work to repair brand new furniture. Part ordered for power sofa, fight for Saturday appointment again wrong part. Now handle broken on second sofa. Furniture is less than four months old. Requested extended warranty on labor (parts lifetime, labor $109 per hour after first year) and I was told no. If they had faith in their own product they would gladly ease my mind and give me an extended warranty on labor...

We purchased a power loveseat from La-Z-Boy. The sales representative was very positive and she was very good. We decided to buy it because what we had was getting old and we were looking for another type. We had it for about 10 years and wanted to change. The quality of the furniture we received is very good, we got no problems. We scheduled out a time for furniture delivery and the man who delivered it was very efficient, friendly, and courteous. He took care of it and it didn't take him long when he took the old one out and put the new one in. It's all very positive and very good. We enjoy it.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for about 27 years and weren't overly happy with the recliners and couches that we had before. We wanted to make a switch, so we went from one La-Z-Boy to another La-Z-Boy. I went to their gallery several times to sit on the couches. I spoke with different people there and they were all very kind and helpful. So far, the quality of the furniture we received from them is good and we're happy with it.

I like many of the customers who wrote reviews, waited an exorbitant amount of time for my furniture. However, I thought that the quality would be worth the wait. Several weeks after delivery, one of the reclining sections would not go fully back into position after being sat in. This section looked like it was sagging back. I made an appointment to have them come out a week later. I called several times to let the service manager know I would not be able to be home until 3:30. He put that in the notes and assured me I was the second to last on the stop so it would be after I got home. Of course when I got home, they had already been there.
I felt relieved when I called the store manager and he said “I promise I will take care of you. Let me get this worked out.” He asked me to send him a few quick pictures and I did. I was not prepared for his response... Within an hour he sent me an email stating that my couch is normal and he sent pictures of his floor model saying it looks the same. He also said I was welcome to come in and discuss it with him. I quickly drove the hour to the store and took pictures of the same couches he sent me. They did not look at all like mine or what he sent me. I sat in them and reclined. When I put them in the upright position the store couches almost aligned and looked nothing like mine. The salesman agreed. I have four sections on the love seat and couch and none of the sections have this issue but one so I find it hard to believe this is normal.
In addition the store manager said he sent the pictures to the service department when I originally sent them and he also confirmed that this is normal. I waited a long time to purchase the right couches because I wanted something that would last. I chose La-Z-Boy because of the name. I also bought the extended coverage just to be sure that I would not have any issues. I have never been more frustrated with the quality and lack customer service. No customer should have to spend this amount of time to get a resolution to their defective furniture and be told it is normal. No one even came out to look at the couch. I am attaching the pictures of my normal couches... Will never buy from La-Z-Boy again.

I bought two couches. They were delivered to me and they both made noise. I called La-Z-Boy two weeks later and he told me that I should've called the first day! They came out to fix it and said that one of them was not put together all the way.. The technician didn't finish it. Other one was broken on the track.

The one La-Z-Boy we went to which was in Robinson was terrible. The sales associate didn't even help us and never came around. We left that store because they are horrible and so we went to Monroeville. They were very nice there. They helped us about the colors and the patterns and how much money it would be. They were much more helpful. The Monroeville store is awesome. The furniture is also nice and the delivery team who came to our house were fine. They set it up upstairs and made sure it worked. It was pretty quick. I wasn't expecting how long it took them to make the chair but it turned out okay.

My mother has actually been the one dealing with this issue for over six months now. The both of us went to the La-Z-Boy location at 15905 Katy Freeway Houston, TX sometime at the end of 2013 while my father was recovering from a carotid endarterectomy and then a quadruple bypass heart surgery to purchase a new power recliner for when he returned home. We paid for an extended warranty just in case anything ever happened to the chair, specifically because he cannot be without it since he sleeps in it. The chair broke a little over 6 weeks ago and my mother has been given an absolute runaround trying to get it fixed for weeks and weeks.
First they say the weather is bad so they can't get the part right away...... then it's another excuse for the amount of time it takes the repairman to get out there. My mother has spoken with over 4 different people at La-Z-Boy trying to get this issue resolved. The repairman finally shows up and puts the new modified spring in the chair and then says "that isn't going to fix it and it needs a motor now." No one from La-Z-Boy can give my mother any sort of estimate on the amount of time it is going to take them to get this motor and it may not even fix the issue. In the meantime, my father's legs are swelling up because he is not able to keep them elevated as the doctor has required him to do since his chair is broken.
La-Z-Boy has the absolute worst customer service team that I have ever seen in my entire life at any company. No one contacts you when you submit emails. No one calls you back when you call to ask questions. Essentially their left arm doesn't know what their right arm is doing at this company. They get many different people involved in something and they span the state at different locations and none of them are able to take any action at all. I have requested to be contacted by someone in upper management and they are ignoring me now so I have no alternative, but to file with the BBB to have this taken care of.
My next step is to contact my lawyer. I will definitely file a lawsuit for reimbursement of medical expenses if my father ends up in the hospital again because he cannot elevate his legs because his chair has been unusable as purchased for over six weeks. Do NOT buy a chair from this company. After they have taken all of your money (over $1,300) for this power recliner. They will simply act like they never knew you and that you do not exist.

I bought my chair for 1200 dollars had it about 8 months and had 3 major problems. And every time they repair it it's worse, it took over 2 months. I am still waiting for my repair. They were rude talk to me like I was nothing and just told me "O well wait they take two weeks to just come look at chair then 3 to 5 week to get parts and another 2 weeks for them to come repair it." The repair guy showed up in a smoking beat up car and was all dirty and nasty. Please do not go there.

We have had one piece of La-Z-Boy furniture that we bought in Maryland about 9 years ago and it was just a single piece but now we bought a whole collection. This is the first time we purchased for a whole room. We've been here in Wichita about 2 years and brought furniture with us from Maryland that didn't exactly fit this space and decided to look for something more appropriate. We worked with their design team and it worked out great. We've only had the power recliner a couple of weeks and as of this moment, it's outstanding. I'm just waiting to see how long these buttons that activate the recliner last. I'm hoping it lasts forever. My experience with their team was absolutely wonderful. They came in and were respectful of the space. They put down plastic and took all the trash away. They waited patiently while we tested all the pieces out to make sure everything worked.

Our old recliners were getting kind of wiped, so we purchased La-Z-Boy. As far as I know, the quality of the furniture we received is good. The cost is a little high but we got what we wanted at the time. Everything was fine.

We were told our furniture would arrive in 4-6 weeks. After more than 6 weeks we called and were told by a different rep that 6-8 weeks was standard. At about 7 1/2 weeks they called to set up delivery and didn't have Saturday availability for 10 days. We commented that we should have priority for the upcoming Saturday and this was accommodated. Everything was delivered but the floor-room tables were still loose and scratched which we had been promised would not be the case. (My husband ended up doing the repairs.) One lamp was shattered and taken back by the delivery team.
Now it has been 4 weeks and no word on the replacement lamp until I again called to find out the status. A rep said he would call me back the next day. 3 days later I got a call. At that time I was told it would be at least another week before the new lamp is delivered. So in all we have been waiting nearly 3 months to have everything in our home. They did remove the delivery fee which was nice. But overall they seem pretty uncaring about our frustrations. We had intended to buy furniture for a dining room and another living room but will most likely shop elsewhere now.

We have been La-Z-Boy bigots for these years. We love La-Z-Boy. That's the only place we shop for furniture. I grew up in a home that had La-Z-Boy. We didn't go any place else for a recliner or a sofa. I'm beginning to think that was a mistake. Recently, we had a remodeling and I thought it was just time to buy new furniture. We had yet another new living space and I wanted to replace what was in the family room. But with the pieces we bought, I couldn't be more disappointed.
Neither sofa opens reliably, and I waited more than three months for the delivery of one that would work at all for one of the sofas. And they wanted to deliver it in January when I'd already waited my six or eight weeks. And when it got to the distribution center, it wasn't working. And this was January 14th it was supposed to be delivered, and on January 14th I received a phone call saying it wasn't gonna be delivered that day because it wasn't working that great. I don't want defective furniture.
Then two days later, I get the call that said I wouldn't receive it until the first or second week of March. I'm sorry, I had already waited an awfully long time and then I needed to wait for something that was already manufactured, but to get the parts and to get it installed and fixed, I needed to wait yet another eight weeks. That was totally unacceptable. Then it showed up at my house and it still didn't work, and it went back on the truck. So I think there's a serious production issue going on with La-Z-Boy.
I'm angry. I actually am hoping that I'll get some level of compensation. I could use a few accessories or something. The furniture itself, I cannot recommend to anyone. But I'd have to say that their sales representative was absolutely great. Worked with us on options, both on the furniture itself but then also on the fabrics and colors. She was absolutely terrific. She would call me and keep me up to date. The delivery guys were fabulous as well. I'm happy with delivery and sales. I would like to buy La-Z-Boy in the future because it was so reliable. What I'd really like to see on La-Z-Boy's website is that they've taken feedback from people where they're not happy and that this is what they are doing about it. This is how they are improving their furniture.

I just got a sectional yesterday after waiting a long 9 weeks. The chaise leg flat part was not sewn straight and it has three lumps. WOW I can't believe La-Z-Boy does not inspect their work before they send it out. I seen it upon arrival within 3 minutes. Now La-Z-Boy has to inspect it and make the call to replace it? I recommend you don't buy a custom item from them. If something is wrong they want to charge a 30% restocking fee. My next couch will be from VALUE CITY FURNITURE since they have the same quality as La-Z-Boy does now.

I've had several different sets of La-Z-Boy furniture for about 27 years now. It's been 15 years or so since our living room got updated so I decided to buy a new one. I'm very satisfied with the quality, and I think the price is fair. This is the second time that I've used the design service; I really enjoyed both times that I worked with them. They take the time with you and it's excellent since there may be lots of people who don't have a good eye for how things go together.

First, let me start out by saying that I love the rocker recliner and have had it for about 1-1/2 yrs. We bought 2 recliners, a rocker & a reclina-way. The reclina-way declines and closes so smoothly and quickly and the rocker's mechanism is so very loud and snaps closed. The noise is rather horrendous. Is this normal or possibly a defect?

We went to look for a leather sofa and chair the other night. We mentioned to the salesman that we had looked elsewhere and that we were comparing prices. He told us that "he would match any price that we found." He did not give any restrictions and I found a great sale that was current and in Canada, at another La-Z Boy store with an online advertising. The cost of the sofa, the Gavin, which we wanted, was $200 higher than the one in this store, but you were guaranteed a FREE rocking La-Z-Boy, at the listed price. For us at the Burlington store, that would mean an extra $700 SAVINGS if they would match the other corporate store deal.
I called the salesman this morning. He asked the manager who apparently asked someone else and in the end, the answer was "NO." Now I was told that the offer had to be a written order and from a store in Ontario. Well the other store was in Vancouver so that was not possible and furthermore, they just changed the rules of the game. I have done this price matching before and an online advertisement is more than enough proof in every other store.
Needless to say, I believe that we were misled. They hooked us and then just threw us back in. If you are going to tell a customer that you will price match any deal, then DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU WILL DO. We aren't sure what we will do, but we don't like the lies and deceit. They may have lost over $3000 in sales from us as we will be going back to look at a different set and not at a La-Z-Boy store. In this competitive market you have to be honest with consumers and they definitely were not honest.
