    I am extremely disappointed with the purchase of a reclining sofa and love seat. After owning the products for less than three months, the padding on the seat of the couches is getting folded under itself and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. We had a service call for it and we were told there isn't anything that can be done. It will happen because that is how the couches were made. It is very disappointing that the products you make are designed to do this and can't hold up for longer than a few months. I will not recommend your products to anyone.

    I did write a very nice letter to the manager of La-Z-Boy because they were wonderful to me. The gentleman who helped us was very tolerant. He took a lot of time with us because we just couldn't figure out. Then we got the couches home and they were awful - they do not fit into our house. I called La-Z-Boy and the manager said that we go back to them and pick two new couches, so we did. They then picked up the first couches in our home. We got the replacement couches and I'm thrilled with it.

    We've had La-Z-Boy before. There's nothing that compares to it especially the spinal support and comfort of the couches. I had company here for La-Z-Boy weekend and they sat down in the loveseat and they didn't want to get up. They went home and went to a La-Z-Boy store in Rhode Island and they purchased their own. These are fabulous. One of them came in with a small damage on the seat and we just got it in. They came over, looked at it and took a picture. I guess the gentleman will come back and replace the seat. It was an excellent experience.

    My wonderful wife purchased me a La-Z-Boy reclining chair for my birthday and it was delivered on October 6th. The chair is very uncomfortable and I sent an E-mail to the store and to corporate on the 7th of October with no replies. I complained to the regional manager and was told that there was no recourse. The chair is considered to be a custom order only because we wanted a color that they did not have on the showroom floor.

    I complained to the store manager and he finally agreed to take the chair back if I forfeited 30% or our $1,250 purchase amount and took the remaining $800 in store credit. They would then take the 30% plus make more money on our next purchase. That, in principle, did not seem fair from a company that says they pride themselves on customer satisfaction. I would have taken the 30% loss if they would have refunded the remainder of the purchase price but after taking 30%, their offer for the remainder in store credit was insulting. I am now stuck with a $1,250 uncomfortable chair. Never again.

    My spouse was a La-Z-Boy fan. There was a sale going on and they had a sofa that was the right size for our space that we were really interested in how it operated. We looked at two different sofa styles. We talked about what was important in each one whether those styles were longstanding or whether they were more trendy, and we tend to be a bit conservative so we settled on a conservative style. We love it. We have a motorized sofa with two recliners, one on each end that works perfectly. It has sufficient back support, lumbar support which was important to me. The mechanical working is easily understood, easy to get to and works like a dream. We've had to reschedule three times because the renovation in the dining and living area was not yet complete but they've been incredible about rearranging schedules and rearranging deliveries and just have been really above and beyond in the customer service area. It was outstanding.

    We had an absolutely fantastic experience with the sales rep of La-Z-Boy. The lady who was doing the scheduling for the delivery was excellent as well. Not to mention, we love the quality of the furniture. Plus, it didn’t take all that long. We were happy with that phase of it. The color was everything we expected they said it would be. We especially like the idea that they have this warranty thing where if there was a problem, we need to take it back to get it fixed. They do that and other stores don’t. It was very good and we'd recommend them.

    This is my third La-Z-Boy. I had exactly the same chairs. The second one I bought wore out after 11 years. I know it's a good quality that's why I bought it for $1,000. I could have one somewhere at $300 and get rid of it in two years. The sales representative was a very good young lady who treated me very well. She's very knowledgeable and went through everything with me. I've had a very good and casual experience with them. I was more than happy with the service I got and the chair that I purchased.

    We just purchased a La-Z-Boy Mackenzie sofa yesterday from Millers Furniture in Claflin, KS. We bought a La-Z-Boy because of the excellent reputation of La-Z-Boy. After reading the reviews I am wondering if we made a mistake. I guess time will tell. It sounds as if the quality isn't the same as it was years ago... Sure hope we don't regret this purchase.     On June 3 2015 I called customer service in Buford Georgia and spoke to Carrie ** I wanted to have my old La-Z-Boy recliners (2) redone and cover. She ordered the back form and cushions for chairs. I paid at that time. On July 30 Carrie informed me they were there and I needed to make appointment to bring chairs to their Buford warehouse. I made appointment for August 18 and she told me to drop off earlier if possible, so I took chairs on August 14 also she had the man there that was going to upholster the chairs.

    Well they couldn't find the parts for two chairs, only one. Carrie reordered for the other chair. I've been dealing with customer service at 734-241-2435 . They have signed me a number **. They told me it would ship on Sept 2 then Sept. 25, then they said Oct 2. Now they are telling me Oct 23. I think I am getting the runaround. I have been without my chairs since Aug. I loved my style - it's why I didn't buy new ones, I looked but decided to go this route. Boy am I sorry. I will never buy anything else from them.

    I could have used any old parts but I trusted my La-Z-Boy chairs to La-Z-Boy. Big mistake. Can you see why it takes so long for parts. I mistrust LB so much that I ordered new living room sofa and love seat from a another furniture store. Guess what they said - they needed six weeks to make and it was delivered Oct 7 as promised. Please help me, I need my chairs.

    There was a new store that showed up in Maple Grove so we decided to stop in. Then a little while later, they said that they had an in-home kind of a plan where they come in to see what will fit in our home. So we went along with that after we found out. I wonder if it's something that I can get out of easy, so we found some furniture that would accommodate that. Sabrina, the rep that came to the house was very thorough. She came up with a nice plan for my living room and I'm going to follow it. Although, our furniture is still in order and we don't have any scheduled delivery yet. She said 6-8 weeks and it's been about a month now. But I'd recommend La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries - they have good service.

    We've had La-Z-Boy over the last 15 years. It has been part of what I grew up with and what I've had in the past. When I purchased a new home, I decided to get new La-Z-Boy furniture.     Let me just start off by saying, we had such a horrible experience that I made this account just so I could warn others about it. Let's start with the fact that they sold us fabric protector without even asking us, assuming we needed it because we have a small child? Didn't catch it until after we left (when there was nothing we could do it about) because this was NEVER something we discussed with the sales rep, not once did we ask or did the sales rep ask us if we wanted it, so thanks for ripping us off with your snake oil.

    Not only that, but we found out AFTER the fact that apparently, they offer a 10% military discount that we didn't get, even though we indicated that we lived on a military installation when we gave our address for delivery and my husband showed his military ID with credit card when paying. So you rip us off for fabric protector and then don't even thank your veterans by extending a military discount that you already offer, I can see La-Z-Boy is in the business of getting the most they can out of customers instead of respecting them as consumers.

    So our custom furniture is ready a few weeks later and we scheduled delivery for a Wednesday, about a week and a half in advanced, and the NIGHT BEFORE they call us and tell us that we'll have to reschedule because apparently they only deliver Friday's to this area. The next available delivery wasn't until a week and a half later! So because someone on your end didn't catch their mistake until the last minute, now we have to wait ANOTHER week and a half? Thanks.

    Friday, delivery day, rolls around and they show up to the front gate of the military installation we live in, not knowing that they didn't have credentials to get on, not even bothering to find out so that we could be prepared to meet them at the pass office so we could get them on. Minor annoyance, but my husband leaves to meet them and comes back about 20 minutes later, no delivery truck??? Come to find out, the drivers were riding around without registration OR insurance, both of which are required to receive pass access on a federal military installation. Seriously?! And to add insult to injury, the drivers acted like it was no big deal they were driving around illegally! Apparently they've been pulled over in the last week and the officers ran the plate and everything was "just fine," how unprofessional!

    So the delivery truck leaves with our couches, ugh but we were so close to getting our $3.5k couches finally. So my husband calls and they tell us they can't deliver them the next day or the day after that, because of "rain" which didn't even fall Saturday, and the next available delivery would be Tuesday. Monday rolls around, when they're supposed to give you a courtesy call for your delivery window, but the call we got wasn't for a delivery window, it was to reschedule for the next day, AGAIN!!! You have got to be freaking kidding me at this point!

    So anyway, we finally got our couches Wednesday and during all of this frustration and talking to the scheduler and the store we bought the couches from, they want to offer us a lousy $80 off for the delivery charge? How pathetic, I can't even because to explain how absolutely insulting that is. We went with La-Z-Boy because they're supposed to be a reputable company and I have NEVER in my life received such horrible customer service, all they seem to care about is getting your money and after they have you (because they don't refund custom sets) seems like they jerk you around because they know there's nothing you can do about it. I've never felt so cheated. All I'm saying is be forewarned, and after reading all these reviews apparently I'm not the first person this has ever happened to.

    The sales representative from La-Z-Boy was very helpful. We told her what we wanted and she showed us three or four things and we really liked the one that we got. The furniture seems great. Though, it was expensive but I'm coming from the perspective I didn't think the other furniture was bad. To schedule the delivery, I only called the warehouse and the guy there was helpful. The guys who delivered the furniture were good and quick also. They moved it wherever I wanted it and they answered any questions I had. Overall, everything went really well and I would definitely recommend La-Z-Boy.

    I purchased a new recliner in from the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in Northridge, CA in Dec 2013. It was delivered in Feb 2014. After delivery, the chair seemed to be having some problems; the chair would not recline fully and would push its occupant back up into a sitting position. The padding in the arms was missing or had fallen into the chair. Arms rested on hard surface with no padding. I went back to the store to examine the chair I had originally sat in and ordered from to see what made the chair I received different from showroom chair.

    The showroom chair certainly had padded arms and it fully reclined and stayed there while in it, with the help of a salesperson, we were able to turn the chair on its back so I could see the leg support and footrest mechanism... The showroom chair had springs on the footrest mechanism and mine did not. Also, under the seat the support coils on showroom model were attached, whereas the one I had one of these coils was unattached and hanging down. The salesperson gave me the info to contact La-Z-Boy Customer Service and they sent out a technician. The technician came and addressed the problems. He had to order the missing parts from La-Z-Boy and obtain more padding for the arms and would come back and install these items when they arrived.

    He came back once the items had been shipped and repaired the chair. He fixed the padding in the arms and attached the springs to the footrest and the unattached seat support coil. These fixes did not resolve the problem with the chair fully reclining and being able to maintain this position. He then ordered a new frame for the chair. This was also shipped out. The bottom line is that this repairperson has been to service this chair at least 5 to 6 times and the chair remains unable to recline fully, that and the padding in the arms continues to be a problem, although repaired or replaced 2 or 3 times. Now screws are falling out of it and the repair person was just here again today to service the padding in the arms once more. I showed him how the chair refuses to maintain a recline position and told him the repair history of this chair and its ongoing problems.

    The purchase of this chair was made to replace a previous La-Z-Boy recliner that we had owned for over 10 years with absolutely no problems. The chair has simply been used and looked worn, but was still in good working order. I wanted a new chair with a smaller footprint than the one we had and purchased the new one. I have now had nothing but problems with this new chair. Granted La-Z-Boy has always answered our calls for service and has indeed serviced this chair numerous times, but the fact remains that it still does not fully recline and the arms need continuous service. At this point, I'd rather get a store credit for the purchase price of this chair and buy a different model. Very dissatisfied in Winnetka.

    Purchasing a La-Z-Boy sofa was the worst decision we ever made. We had a very nice remote controlled recliner that was only a couple years old before it broke. We called customer service to get it fixed and had to pay up front to even have anyone come to look at it and tell us what was wrong. After a string of incidents (technician did not order right parts, right parts did not ship on time, new parts ordered also did not ship on time, new technician had different diagnosis) 4 months later we still do not have a functional couch in our living room. I am throwing it away, and getting a new couch. I will never make the mistake of buying anything from La-Z-Boy again.

    6 weeks ago I bought a couch from La-Z-Boy in Vaughan, Ontario. The salesman, Kito, was going to charge me $400 more for the couch/mattress until I pointed out to him that the amount on the tag was $400 less. He consulted the Manager, Shirley, and she agreed to sell it to me for the price that was on the label. Several weeks later they delivered the couch but it came a cheaper mattress than the one I had paid for. I contacted the Manager and she acknowledged that this was their mistake and said she would arrange another delivery date. When she did not call back as promised, I attempted to call her back. I have now left her no less than 3 messages but she has not bothered to return any.

    I attempted to speak with her again today but her staff told me that she was in meetings and on other phone calls all day. I spoke with Kito the original salesman to attempt to resolve this. This was difficult as this man has a problem even remembering my name. During my attempts to communicate with Kito, I was placed on hold by him for cumulatively for an hour and was hung up on ("disconnected") twice. 6 weeks have now passed since I bought this mattress/couch and I am still waiting for someone from the Vaughan La-Z-Boy store to contact me. This process has caused me great inconvenience and several guests have been unable to stay at my house because of the store's unprofessionalism and apathy (sigh).

    I'm moving to be near my kids in Columbus, and my living room set was massive so it's going into my son's new house and I had to get a new one. I was very impressed with the La-Z-Boy Boardman, OH store and their people. Every sales representative has been fantastic there. The first man who wrote stuff up was the most gracious, kind man I have ever had to wait on me. I told him about my husband's death because he asked why I was buying. He took over and when I got over emotional or nervous and was great. Everyone was great with my service dog. One woman even sat down on the floor and played with it for a while. The quality of the furniture, from what I've seen in the showroom before, was marvelous and the cost well worth it. The set that I ordered will not be in until mid November because I ordered special fabrics. They're professional, friendly, and trustworthy.

    We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for seven years. Recently we purchased a recliner and sofa from them because our old furniture got worn out. The sales rep was very helpful, polite, and nice. I had a good experience with her. My husband and I decided to get a La-Z-Boy electric recliner that fits each other because we're not getting any younger, and then also saw a couch that we liked.     I am very disappointed with a purchase of the Mackenzie Sleeper sofa I made in May 2015. Every time you sit on it, it makes a loud noise. I called the Halifax store and reported it but the service rep thought it might be the cushions and said he would have them replaced. It is now Oct and to date no cushions and the noise is getting worst. I called the store today and they said La-Z-Boy will send them via UPS, but they didn't know when. Come on La-Z-Boy, you can provide better service, I did however purchase a sofa sleeper and two reclining chairs thirty years ago and they are still being used, but I guess they don't make them like they used to. I am very disappointed with the service both in the store and service to make it right. Doubt if I will ever recommend if buy La-Z-Boy again.

    I am 80 years old and through the years I have purchased many La-Z-Boy pieces of furniture. My den is all furniture purchased from lazy boy. I have a leather recliner that I have had for at least 8 years, and I used every day and sometimes slept in at night, and never had any problem. In January of this year I purchased a love seat. I told them I wanted leather and they sold me this one assuring me that it was leather. Now 9 months later, the finish has peeled off where my head rests and it sure does not look like leather to me.

    The store is going to replace the back for me, but told me the reason for the peeling off was due to me taking blood pressure medication. I have never heard of such a thing, and why has it not caused any problem with my leather recliner that I have had so long. I had leather in my 1994 gmc and passed it on to my Granddaughter, and the leather still looked good. I don't know what's going on, but how can I use a couch that my taking medicine harms it? I think they should give me a real leather replacement or one with another fabric that will hold up. My wife is in a nursing home, so I live alone and furniture is well taken care of. When I purchase furniture I expect to get reasonable service out of it. I purchased this at La-Z-Boy on S. Sherwood Forest blvd Baton Rouge La. 70816.

    My experience in buying my chair was very good. The salesperson Sarah ** answered all my questions at the Farmers Branch/Dallas location. She also let me look at the underneath mechanism and construction of the chair. Delivery was on time and went smoothly and the delivery men installed the chair and removed my old chair and put it on the front curb, where I asked them to put it.

    When I tried the chair in the store I noticed that when I released the wooden lever to lower the foot rest that it went down rather quickly and made a clunk, clunk noise. So I tried it again with a slower action and it went down a little more smoothly, but still made a noise. I've had it at home now for two and a half weeks and have used it very gently. It still makes a clunkety noise. The actual operating of the mechanism is a little bit disappointing. I thought it would be a lot smoother. Overall the chair is very comfortable, so I have decided to keep it. I just thought that La-Z-Boy designed a better quality chair than average.

    We bought a new house and we have a living room that we needed to furnish. So we went around and we checked with Ethan Allen and some others and we were determined that La-Z-Boy was the most comfortable. The people at La-Z-Boy gallery were great. The director of design was involved in coming up to our house. Another staff was thoughtful as well. Scheduling the delivery and the furniture's quality were all good. We were happy all the way up to the point where we had the delivery. But after the delivery, we're angry with them.

    While La-Z-Boy has a good product, and they have good people we got contact with, they're generally non-responsive. They were responsive when we hadn't paid yet our $17,000 worth of goods. Now that we've paid it and we've caused some of these minor details left over, they don't even really want to talk to us because we don't represent anything other than good-will on the next sale. Out of the $17,000 order, there are some things that didn't arrive even after a 3-month lead time, and then some things that were misunderstood. We don't want to get something that we ordered that is still in back-order and they're not supposed to come in for another 2 months. We went to return them (just two pillows) but they gave us a lip-service and they say they turned it over to corporate. It's languished. In Paris, the people that deal with the customers in La-Z-Boy is penny-wise and pound-foolish in the way they're treating us.

    Then we never heard anything from them. When we bug them, they say that it's in the corporate’s hands and they can't do anything about it. And we're dealing with a director of design, which is pretty close to as high as it goes in the local area. Just a week after we had the stuff with us, we had some friends who came here and they liked our furniture so they wanted us to go with them to La-Z-Boy and introduce to them the people who did the furniture for us. But because of the way we've been treated for the last two weeks, I would call my friends and tell them I do not recommend La-Z-Boy.

    I special ordered a power recliner. It took over 8 weeks to receive the chair. Within 1 month of use, the leg lift portion stopped working. During inspection of the underneath of the chair, I found a wire with no strain relief that was wrapped around one of the metal power lifts. This created the situation where every time the leg lift was engaged, the wire was pulled away from the transistor, which eventually led to the disconnection of the unit lifting the leg. After reporting the incident to the La-Z-Boy Gallery from which I purchased the chair, I had talk with a sub-contractor to schedule a repair. The sub-contractor did not have in stock the part necessary to fix my chair. Thus, it would be another month to 6 weeks to get the chair repaired. To date, I am waiting on the repairman. I filed a complaint at the La-Z-Boy website. I have yet to hear from the company.

    We had a large sectional and I was looking for something more comfortable than that as we wanted to open up the room to look nice. We got La-Z-Boy sofa and chair. Everybody at the gallery was very attentive. The designer came out to our home and was very personable, knowledgeable, and able to help greatly. The sales staff in the store was wonderful. The only thing is that I'm not happy with the furniture as I don't find it to be comfortable. I did test it in the store and thought it was comfortable. When at home, for whatever reason, I don't find it like that. The sofa is difficult to get in and out of and doesn't recline as much as I thought it would be. The chair is having back issue problem. Unfortunately, we missed the 3-day return deadline. But the customer service is outstanding so I am happy with the experience.

    My first purchase with La-Z-Boy was for two recliners. Their store staff was great and wonderful, but I'm not really happy with the quality of their recliners. I thought La-Z-Boy would have a great product, but I'm disappointed in the custom orders we received. They're squeaky when I sit on them. The tucking and the stuff around the back are not nice looking. Also I don't think they did a very good job with the fabric that they rolled under in several places of the recliner. It's running and there are lumps in places. The fabric runs nicely and straightly through the grain in some places but on the opposite chair, it runs more on an angle. It stands out since it's woven fabric with no pattern. That's why quality-wise, I would not recommend La-Z-Boy.

    We had a leather recliner from La-Z-Boy for about four years and it broke. When I would vacuum, I'd have to move it and I probably didn't move it in the proper way. So one time my husband sat down on the springs and he went, "Boing!" We had to pitch it and got another one that's made of a different material immediately. When we talked to the sales rep, I thought she was a bit pushy. But my husband liked her. He was happy and satisfied. It's his recliner so for him, it went well. He likes this new one better.     We purchased two recliner love seats and two recliners from La-Z-Boy on 12/31/2014. We also paid extra for the extended 3-year service and lifetime warranty. The recliners were delivered in February 2015. After sitting in them we quickly noticed the reclining mechanism was malfunctioning. When reclining, the backrest does not provide any support causing the recliner to fully recline back. The models in the store did not do this nor did the love seats we ordered, which work fine. We reported this issue very quickly and have been given the runaround by Sandra ** at customer service ever since. The process has been to call customer service who then orders parts. The parts take approximately 1 month to be delivered. Once they are delivered we call back and then a technician is scheduled which takes approximately another month to come out.

    We have gone through this repair process 4 times over 10 months. Sandra refuses to replace the recliners and wants to go through the same process a 5th time. Our phone records show we have logged over 20 calls to Sandra since we purchased the chairs. Sandra doesn't call us back half the time and when she does call back she always act like she doesn't know about our case and is completely unapologetic to our situation. We finally were able to get her email which she reluctantly gave us after we complained she doesn't return our calls. She of course has never responded to a single email as they don't want a paper trail. The technicians refuse to give us a repair ticket so all we can do is take photos with our phone of the technicians tablet. They refuse to give any paperwork at all.

    We have not been able to sit in our chairs or enjoy them at all. La-Z-Boy needs to honor the warranty which clearly states repair or replace, they are unable to repair after 4 visits by technicians, therefore they need to replace the recliners or give us our money back.

    Updated on 10/20/2015: This is a follow-up complaint based on my previous complaint dated 10/2/2015. The same technician that inspected our furniture three weeks ago was sent again today, unbelievable. The technician is once again unable to repair the furniture, which is the same conclusion that the previous five technicians came to. What La-Z-Boy does is use several different entities so that they can give the run-around and always push the problem onto someone else. The local La-Z-Boy store will take no responsibility for anything, they say to call Customer Service. Customer Service is a third-party company 1-214-631-1813 called Ledcor Industries.

    Sandra ** is the customer service rep for the city that I live in. They refuse to do anything except send a technician over and over even when you tell them you have done this five times - they don't care and never remember your case or take notes. I also tried to call the 855-802-6636 number for La-Z-Boy warranty on their website, they are the ones posting on this website and they say to contact the local franchise or refer me back to Ledcor Industries. As you can see, I've hit a dead end with this company. Don't believe any of their posts on this website, if they deliver you defective furniture, you are stuck with it. The extra warranty that we purchased isn't worth the paper that it's written on.

    I called to have some work completed on a La-Z-Boy recliner we purchased some time ago. After paying $211.00 we have had nothing but trouble with the customer service branch located in Lewisville, SC. It's a matter of getting the right spring to fix the chair. We have had technicians out on four different occasions and they still can not fix my chair. Now please remember, myself or my Wife need to take off work for the tech to arrive. We both have had to take off work on these four different occasions and now a fifth time to hopefully get it right.

    Now if I was to bill La-Z-Boy for our time it would cost them 1,300 dollars because our time taking off work. Not only can they not fix the problem, but when I ask for some type of reimbursement they offered $38.00 for half off the labor cost. This is ridiculous, Frankie and Stephanie have not helped at all with this process. On the other hand, Matt the tech has been wonderful and feels the frustration we are going through. Customers please beware, when you want a La-Z-Boy product fixed no one should have to go through this crap. Very angry and frustrated.

    La-Z-Boy should be ashamed of themselves. My latest purchase (I purchased 5 chairs/sofas over the years) was a leather recliner. I received shipment in April of this year. I detected a flaw in the arm rest and called their customer support. They set up a visit for a technician which took a month. He came out and verified that there was a defect and had to order a part. After almost 2 months, the part arrived. I called customer support and let them know that the color did not match. They said that a technician would have to be dispatched. After 2 weeks, a technician came and verified that the color did not match and that they had to order the part again. After almost 6 weeks, the part arrived. The color again did not match. I called customer services and they request that I send them pictures.

    After a few weeks, they said that the pictures were not conclusive so they now have to send out a technician again to verify the color. This is going to take another couple of weeks. I asked if I can get a new chair should the technician confirm the color problem and they would not commit to anything. It's now October and this is still going on. I called the store about a month ago to voice my displeasure and they said that they were trying to secure a full store refund so that I can purchase another chair, but each time I called them, they simply said that they're still trying, but really didn't accomplish anything. I would be very leery of purchasing a leather product from La-Z-Boy.

The old recliner that I had was falling apart and hurt my back if I sat on it for a while. The guy at the gallery was very nice, objective and a low-pressure salesman. I like him a lot. He also sold us the couch a few years ago. The guys that delivered the chair were on time and super - very nice, clean-cut individuals - and I didn't have to worry about letting them in the house.     We needed to replace our old furniture so we purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy. We had a good experience with the sales representative. She was very helpful and helped us get what we wanted. The quality is okay. I don't have any complaints about it. We also got a sleeper and I was disappointed in the measurements because it’s a little narrower than a regular if I were to buy a full-size sleeper somewhere. So the mattress measurements were a little off. It's not standard, which we didn't realize. Also at delivery, they just gave us a spring mattress while we had ordered for a memory foam. I called the beginning of the month and they told me seven to ten days. But when I called last week, they said it will be here on the 30th which means almost like a whole month. Those are the complaints I would have. I'm not angry with La-Z-Boy. Mistakes happen. It doesn't matter if it was delayed or the wrong thing came as long as I get my replacement on time.

    My husband and I just moved into our first house and we had shopped literally everywhere in town! We finally came across the perfect couches and coffee table at La-Z-Boy in South Edmonton Common.     I ended up spending over an hour trying to figure out what our account number is and how to make payments to pay off our couches. The salesperson who is Perry ** in Edmonton, Alberta in the store told me we would have a statement within two days - we didn't. We didn't because he put in half of our old address and half of our new address on my financing information.. Not to mention he entered my maiden name and never told us any of this and the receipt we got from the store had everything correct on it. It is very frustrating that these things couldn't have been verified properly especially when you are dealing with over $4000.00 in sales. I really want coffee tables from this location that I planned on going back and grabbing in a few months but it's all just very disappointing. I don't think I will ever be dealing with La-Z-Boy again.

    We bought our first La-Z-Boys in 2001 - two sectionals for downstairs and upstairs. I recently purchased another sectional from them. My interactions with the sales representative were good but towards the end, she was getting frustrated with us because we were there for a long time. We were flipping the room and how it was originally set up because we had demolished our whole first floor and redid it. We had to make sure that the James we bought that we really wanted would fit in the room. But overall, our experience has been fine. We love La-Z-Boy. It's what we wanted so we just dealt with the rep. Everybody's a different personality.

    We had a wonderful experience with everybody who works at the La-Z-Boy including their sales representative, the designer that I was with, the designer's boss and the delivery scheduling team. They're very understanding of my schedule. The designer named Susan helps me see things differently from a different perspective. She and her boss came out to my home and helped me figure out different layouts and worked with the placing I had. Susan was down at my house making measurements within a very small time frame that I had. Then they have a sale and walked me through the whole process. It was seamless.

    I haven't gotten the furniture yet. It was definitely costly compared to some of the other furniture stores we went to, but it's all custom. You have a lot of options in terms of the color choices and fabrics. I can't compare the quality yet because I haven't really had the chance to sit on it, but my expectations are high. Overall, the people who work at La-Z-Boy were very patient and creative. They're willing to work with my style but also take me out of my comfort zone a little bit. I definitely would buy again from them.

    I purchased a new leather living room suite with 2 recliners. After having to wait over a month for the couch to arrive due to La-Z-Boy "running out of leather," we have had nothing but trouble out of the units. The couch seats faded almost immediately. Shortly after that, the recliners footrest broke. After contacting customer service, they said they knew they had a problem and were going to recover the couch and send out some bolts to fix the recliner. The bolts have not fixed the problem! I believe that the arms are damaged.

    Of course, I'm not a furniture repair man, nor did I think after paying the price that I did for this furniture that I would have to be. Subsequently, it took 2 months for them to send out a technician to recover the couch. And then, he didn't bring out everything he needed to complete the job, which meant he had to make another trip and I had to be inconvenienced yet again. Is it too much to ask to get the quality which you paid for? Obviously with this company it is! If you quality furniture, DO NOT BUY FROM LA-Z-BOY!!! They don't stand behind what they sell!!!

    Recliner was delivered but the motor did not work so the delivery team took it back with them. Another delivery date was scheduled two weeks later, then I received a call the evening before that the chair did not pass quality inspection due to the same problem that occurred during the original delivery. It appears that nobody addressed the problem when the chair came back the first time. I've called the store and Brittany never got back to me about when the problem will be resolved or when I can expect delivery.

    The salesman was well informed and helpful. The products arrived when stated. The delivery boys were careless with getting the loveseat and chair off the back of the truck. They did not use the lift gate, they just plopped it off the five foot tailgate. On inspection it was discovered three small dings in the loveseat rear legs. Also we discovered that the color of the legs on the loveseat are much darker than the legs on the chair. When you wait that long for a nice loveseat and chair you would expect Quality. #BUMMED

    On August 1, 2015 I took my 93 year old father-in-law who uses a walker to buy a replacement recliner at the North Olmsted, Ohio store. The sales associate was extremely patient with us, and very helpful. The recliner he bought was a Pinnacle Reclina-Way Recliner, with a tall reclina base, and a change in fabric material. After delivery of the chair the lever was very stiff and the leg support would drop with slightest pressure. Called store to have someone look at the. The repairman said the material was hindering the mechanism, and my father-in-law's 6'1" height was the reason the leg support was dropping. The store's response was "buy another recliner". After spending 982 dollars that is wrong answer. What now La-Z-Boy?

    Furniture delivered last weekend. Reclining sofa that was delivered is not power. Called store and was told they would bring the correct one but we will have to wait till November for it. In the meantime they left the non-power one here. While my home is very clean and we have no pets or bedbugs, I question this decision by the company. It seems like a pretty risky business practice. The whole issue could have been avoided had the shipping department paid attention to order details.

    We had good interactions with the La-Z-Boy sales rep at the gallery. The guy knew what he was doing. He also knew what we were looking for and didn’t try to sell us more than what we wanted. During the scheduling of the delivery, the rep gave me two days that I could choose from and I’m getting my furniture earlier than I was told to begin with. I was told it would take between six and eight weeks, but it barely hit five weeks and I get the call saying my items are in, making me very happy. I’d recommend them.

    In March I wrote a review of our new sectional, which although quite comfortable, it is/was poorly aligned. Another tech came to our house and agreed that the pieces would not adjust to better (proper?) alignment. Possibly this was the further action that La-Z-Boy stated they would be doing. If so, I am still very disappointed in their service. If not, we are still waiting for your follow-up... Folks, if this is what you get, our past experience with "lesser" sellers such as JCPenney was superior to what we got from La-Z-Boy.

    The sales representative were very nice and weren't too obtrusive - they didn't just let us wander on the store. We didn't usually have to go to find them, they were attentive enough. When we looked like we wanted to do something, they came right over and explained the process pretty good. My husband didn't have any problem with the sales associate either upon scheduling the furniture delivery. We initially called and they tried to call back a couple of times but I evidently never heard them. So, when I finally called them to find out what was going on, they were very nice about it and just said, "Okay, we'll do it." And then, my husband set up the delivery which we had within five days. The delivery guys were very efficient. They set everything up and they left a clean area, they didn't leave a mess. Overall, it was a positive experience.

    Since I got my reclining couch just over a year ago, it has been broken 7 times! Instead of replacing the couch because there is obviously wrong with it, they keep repairing the same part over and over again. The manager at the location I purchased my account refuses to talk to me and just sends my call to the repair company that handles it. It's bad enough that the people that work at the repair company know my voice now when they call. They've even said that the couch should have been replaced after the second time it broke.

    I've also been accused by one of their representatives that I probably am beating up my poor couch but the service company takes pictures of my couch every single time they are out and the gentleman even said all he sees is less-than-average wear and tear, that we take great care of it. I would not recommend ANYONE to purchase a couch from them, ever! The product keeps breaking and their service is absolutely horrendous!!

    We purchased a power recliner sofa on 9/1/14 with custom fabric. It was delivered in 8-12 weeks, as promised. The right seat cushion gradually broke down until it felt like we were sitting on wood (very hard surface). We called the La-Z-Boy customer service dept and they sent a technician a week later out to assess the seat cushion. He deemed that it was indeed broken and needed to be replaced. I was contacted by the La-Z-Boy repair department on 7/6/15 and told that my replacement part would arrive in 6-8 weeks. It is now 9/23/15 and I contacted the La-Z-Boy repair dept to find out what the status of my order is. I was told that their warehouse in Michigan did not have my particular fabric in stock and that was the cause of the delay. My part will ship from their Michigan warehouse on 10/15/15. They were unable to give me an estimate as to when the part would arrive in California or an installation date.

    I gave my experience with La-Z-Boy one star for the following reasons: 1) Good quality furniture should not break within the first year. 2) La-Z-Boy customer service should not give an estimate of 6-8 weeks for a repair when in actuality my particular repair may end up taking as long as 6 months. 3) La-Z-Boy customer service should have contacted me to make me aware of the severe delay instead of me having to call them. 4) A custom repair should not take any longer than it took to produce the original custom order, which was delivered in 8 weeks. Based on the quality of the product and follow-up customer service I received from the repair department I will never purchase another La-Z-Boy product again.

    On June 4, 2015 I purchased 2 wing back chairs from the Charlotte, NC store. We changed the fabric on the chairs. On July 28, we drove to South Carolina to pick up the chairs. Upon inspection we observed the cushions on the chairs were sticking way up and forward. When inquiring about them the individuals on the loading dock informed us that was normal, they were overstuffed and would settle down. On July 30, I called customer care and sent them pictures. They advised the same thing and told me to be patient. I requested a service call for the chairs to be inspected. I paid $99.00 for the service call, **, service was scheduled on Aug 24. The morning of Aug 24, customer care called and said there was a computer glitch and they would have to reschedule.

    On Sept 8, service tech. came to my home, inspected the chairs, took pictures and advised us the cushions were definitely not right and upon inspection of the fabric, he found it was not holding up as it should and advised us he would recommend cushion replacement and fabric replacement. He advised to call customer care in about 2 weeks to follow up. The service tech was very thoughtful and helpful. On Sept 21, I called customer care to inquire. After several phone called I finally spoke with a person who advised there was no record of the service call. I have left at least 3 messages for an individual named Stephanie ** to call me back about this.

    I have called the corporate office of La-Z-Boy and left a message for a Senior VP named Robert and one for his assistant, Peggy, to call me back about my problem. All I want is for my chairs to be either repaired properly, replaced or take them back. I do not feel this is asking too much. I certainly hope by filing this complaint that something can be done. I have dealt with many companies over the years and I will say, La-Z-Boy Customer Care is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. We have owned 3 previous living rooms sets by La-Z-Boy and never had a problem. I feel the quality has definitely decreased. My husband and I are business owners and if we treated our customers this way, we would be out of business.

    Our old rocking chair was pretty uncomfortable, we decided it was time for something more comfortable so I got a La-Z Boy recliner. The sales representative was very helpful. I'm 6' 4", and he helped me find one that was big enough so that my feet weren't hanging completely over. He helped us find a nice neutral color that would go with our living room decor. The furniture seems to be okay. It creaks a bit when I sit in it, but I'm 200 pounds. Other than that, the mechanism works when I recline, and I'm pretty satisfied. I got what I paid for.

    When scheduling delivery, the sales associate was very accommodating. He initially offered the next Friday, but my wife and I both have work, and I told him it's going to be tough because I had several things scheduled that day so it would be hard for me to stay home. So he said, "What about Saturday?" I didn't know La-Z-Boy delivers on Saturdays. Also, the delivery team was outstanding. They were very helpful: showed me how it worked, what to do if we had to move it, and how to remove the back so it turns into two pieces that are more easily managed. They did a fabulous job.

    Had custom made chair and sofa - sagging material on both sides of couch also on both arms, the three cushion are different heights and lengths, stitching does not line up in two different places, the chair cushion is flat also sagging material on back cushion. The day the tech was suppose to come out had to be cancelled due to him going to be a hour and a half late. I called AGAIN, talked to Claudia. I told her this had to be fixed by the time my payment came due. Since it didn't get fixed I disputed payment with credit card. Finally got tech out. He took 10 pictures, said with this much wrong both would probably be remade. I missed the call. Nicole left a message they were replacing two cushions on sofa, only all else met their standards. I called back not happy with response. Now I am told they are replacing four parts on couch only. I asked "What about the rest of both pieces?"

    She said she only had four pictures from the technician then... Suddenly found the other six pictures, now she says she will re-review the case. I have asked La-Z-Boy to take it back at least ten times. They have so passively aggressively REFUSED. I have called and talked to nine different customer service agents. As you can see I have kept my paper trail and not only kept track of names but I have also recorded EVERY call. Each time I have asked to speak to a manager and have been told one will call me back...still waiting. I call back, talk to Ann. I told her since they would not come and get it I was bringing both back to the store that day. I was SHOCKED to hear her say La-Z-Boy wanted to make me happy so they would take back the furniture. She was going to call Tim the store manager and call me back. She called back, told me not to return them yet. Tim wanted to talk to me first.

    He would call me back SOMETIME today. Five hours later still no callback. I CALLED HIM, he said "Ann never called" and "Didn't know anything about it." Quote unquote... Went on to say he doesn't keep up with his email. Then all of a sudden he said "Oooh I see a email from Renee. La-Z-Boy is remaking your furniture. I can't take your furniture back." Now I called the bank back to update my dispute and was told La-Z-Boy contacted them. Told them they were resolving the problem and taking furniture back so the bank closed the case and reversed charges, so I have disputed payment again. I REFUSE to pay 3,880 for custom made furniture that looks like I shopped in the scratch and dent department. At this point I want the furniture returned and to sever all ties with La-Z-Boy. Evidently La-Z-Boy CANNOT build QUALITY furniture to begin with. So how do you fix BAD QUALITY? I don't know how your employees sleep at night!!!

    After spending $7,000 in custom order furniture from La-Z-Boy, we decided to visit their new store in Maple Grove, MN. We found a set of nesting coffee tables on the showroom floor we liked that were made by their subsidiary Hammary. Since they were not available in the Chicago warehouse, we decided to order them (without any customization). At the time of the order we were told we could cancel the order up until the time of delivery and/or return them within three days of delivery. This order was to take 6-8 weeks (though Hammary claims on their website that they offer fast service). Continuing to look for other items, we found the identical tables, at the same price, at other local retailers as well as online (with free delivery from online retailers like Amazon anywhere from 1-3 weeks).

    Since another retailer had them at their local distribution center available for immediate pick-up, we called La-Z-Boy and were told the tables were scheduled to ship 9/30/2015 and since we were originally told we could cancel the order, we purchased them and called La-Z-Boy back to cancel the order. The store employee became extremely rude and started yelling over the phone that we were told three times the order had to be cancelled within three days. After finally conceding to cancel our order (not without some choice words), we were left with a bad taste in our mouths. A week later, we decided to return to another local La-Z-Boy store to look for additional accessories.

    Upon returning home, we found our receipt for the return in the mail. On the back of the order form, the "special order" cancellation policy was highlighted in yellow. Yes, this does say that special orders and custom orders must be canceled within three days, but the salesperson did tell us we could cancel up until the time of delivery, and this wasn't a special or custom order, it was just out of stock. Our conclusions, then, are that anything on the showroom floor that is out-of-stock in a La-Z-Boy warehouse is considered a "special order". La-Z-Boy sales people are not knowledge about cancellation policies of the company. La-Z-Boy employees are not trained in customer service and diplomacy. Out-of-stock items can be ordered and received much more quickly from online retailers, or even from La-Z-Boy subsidiaries; and many other dealers stock La-Z-Boy products for faster delivery and much better service.

    Our words of warning: when ordering out-of-stock furniture from a company store, be aware that it is considered a "special order," and, if you change your mind, be prepared to either cancel your order within three days or hold on to the order until you receive it and then return it within the standard return period. (The positive with returning it is that it will then not be a special order for the next customer who wants it.) The final for us is that, while we may use the local stores for window shopping, if we did lower ourselves to buy one of their products in the future, it will be from another retailer.

    I purchased 2 La-Z-Boy recliners - Pinnacle and they were delivered on 9/8/15. The delivery guys were very good at their job. When my wife and I started to use them we noticed that the material did not breathe. We both got damp in the seating area. We are in shape not overweight and in a controlled low temperature area. I suggested that maybe there was a coating applied by La-Z-Boy. I called the owner of the store (a very nice guy) and he said no one else told him of this. I wanted to know if there was a cover to buy that would solve this. He said try a towel. When I came out of my office my wife said- 2 recliners, new and use a towel.     We have a La-Z-Boy piece which is about 20 years old. It has been worn out so we decided it's time for new furniture and recently purchased a loveseat, pillows, tables and rugs, entertainment center, recliners, and stools from La-Z-Boy. Their sales representatives were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. However, we still don't have the small version of our much liked long runner which we ordered for our door. It has been four months. We ordered it in May but they're telling us it's supposed to be delivered middle of October.

    They also didn't assemble the chair downstairs right. When they delivered the furniture, they tried to shove it down the stairs and they ended up backing it into my brand new drywall, they caved it in. Moreover, the memory foam of the rocker recliner started to separate from it. They replaced the rocker completely and within a week, the next one was doing the same thing. I ended up taking pictures. I'm now waiting for the bottom half which they are replacing but I have no confidence that it is going to be any different. The first one that we got, we could see that there was stuffing missing along the gathering line. Maybe it was the first chair someone made. This one is comfortable but the memory foam is separating after a week. I'd hate to see what it's going to do in a year.

    A rod broke in the La-Z-Boy recliner and I went by their store in Pensacola on 7-24-15 and was prepared to buy a new one if I found one the height and width, etc. that I wanted. I mentioned to the lady assisting me that my recliner had broken (one that I bought at this store) and she said we can repair it. I opted for this at this point. Since I am partially disabled I spent a lot of time in the chair and it was pretty much the only thing I was comfortable sitting in. I paid for the labor and was told that the repairmen would come out and take a look to see what parts were needed.

    Over a week later they did come by and ordered the parts. The parts were delivered to me at which point I had to make a call to the store to get the repairmen come out again. More than another week later they came out picked up the parts, chair bottom (leaving top part with me) and took it to Mobile I later learned. After repeated calls and all kinds of put offs the chair bottom was returned on 9-11-15. Needless to say, this store will not get my future business and I have told others about this experience.

    We remodeled our basement and we needed some furniture there so we purchased a chair and sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy. The sales representatives that we talked to at the gallery were all good. We had some problems during delivery because the furniture won't fit as they while being brought down the stairs. We were worried because the sofa was stuck for a while until they forced it down the stairwell. We almost didn't get it in but I don't think that was what was planned. La-Z-Boy should know that there's a potential problem when their design people don't know about how to move furniture. They thought that it would fit but it almost didn't. Whatever they used to measure was not good. They just measured the width and length of the sofa and didn't allow for the space needed for the guys who had to lift the furniture. Nonetheless, the quality that I can see so far is very good.

    I went in to La-Z-Boy to purchase a leather sofa. The salesman talked me into the leather like fabric because it was "more durable" than leather. I also purchased a fabric warranty and an extended warranty for the sofa (a total of an additional $290.00). After 2 1/2 years the fabric is coming apart. The local store where I purchased the sofa refuses to talk to me and does not return phone calls. The customer services tells me my warranties only cover structural defects, and the fabric is only warranted for one year. So beware, La-Z-Boy will deceive you and not stand behind their product.

    About 4 years ago, we purchased @ $9000 worth of furniture at La-Z-Boy for our new house. Very friendly sales staff and we had decorator come into the house to help with furniture color selection. Now, 4 years later, the couches that are not being used much still look great, but the couch and round ottoman that we use daily are falling apart. Within 4 years, we had to restuff cushions 3 times at the cost of $200 per visit. Now, automatic leg lifting mechanism is not working on one side. The ottoman has leather seams coming apart. Cushion is sagging again (4th time) and I was told that the leather seams are covered only for 1 year. Lifetime warranty applies only to the frames and nothing else.

    Very disappointed with the quality of the furniture and especially when paying premium price for it. The lifetime warranty does not cover much at all. In the past, we purchased couches and recliners from Badcock and never had issues like we are having with the La-Z-Boy furniture. Not worth paying extra since the furniture quality is not there anymore.

    We had another La-Z-Boy recliner for about six or seven years some time ago. At the time we bought this most recent one, we didn't have that old one anymore. We had a Steelcase recliner that was replaced with the new La-Z-Boy because it was getting a little bit beat up and worn-looking. The cost is not too bad but if it hadn't been on sale, I probably would have not bought it. But the quality is good so far. During delivery, we had a four-hour window but they got here at the beginning of that window. They set it up, got it installed then showed us how everything worked.

The manager helped and showed me exactly what I needed. I told her how much I wanted and she didn't try to upsell me and get me anything fancy because she knew that I was shopping in a particular price range.     My family had purchased a new living room suite in July 2015 for a lot of $$$ and have had problems with it from day one. Still having problems and each piece was over $1000 and we bought custom furniture. Take my advice and don't ever consider La-Z-Boy furniture. The craftsmanship is poor and they switched one piece. Only had it one week and the material it was made from is bad. Also and now my leather recliner which I bought the nicest one Nichols furniture had also has the leather coming apart on the edge of the foot rest. I wished we would have never bought it. We were tired of buying poor quality furniture like Ashley or value city junk and that's why we thought that La-Z-Boy was great furniture but we were wrong. Only had it six weeks now and very disappointed. We contacted Nichols furniture in Mansfield Ohio and haven't heard anything in two weeks. We sent images and other stuff to them also.

    My husband and I purchased two recliners in December of 2014. One of the recliners was built at the factory in Ohio in January and shipped to us towards the end of January. Two months after receiving the recliner the reclining mechanism broke. We called and it was repaired. Three months later the same thing was broken. We called and it was repaired again. Two months later the other side broke on the mechanism. Finally after months the parts were replaced. It still looks a bit crooked. A month ago the seat pad at the bottom ripped. A new bottom was sent to us. The other chair is now having linkage issues. It is sticking and sometimes I can't lower the bottom unless I sit very far forward. I am afraid that the linkage is going to break on this chair also.

    When we bought these chairs we thought we were getting a quality product that would last a long time. Instead we paid a lot of money for cheaply, poorly made furniture. We are retired and on a limited income. We cannot afford to replace these chairs, so we are stuck with them. We also paid for the extra insurance to have them repaired. We thought that they would be repaired for free forever. We found out that after a year we have to pay for service. True they pay for parts but we pay the service call and transportation if the chair has to go somewhere to be repaired. This morning my husband and I were discussing whether or not we should go to small claims court. These chairs were expensive and will cost us even more in the future to maintain. We will never buy from La-Z-Boy again!

    I purchased La-Z-Boy furniture in Colorado several years ago and had a positive experience with the quality of the furniture and Comfort Care warranty. It prompted me to purchase over $3500 of furniture at the Oxnard, CA store plus the warranty. BIG MISTAKE! I spent the past year calling La-Z-Boy to correct a problem and just had the run around. I was even told by their Comfort Care dept. that they do not "guarantee comfort" after having three visits by their techs that said my couch cushions were defective. And no one in my household is overweight sitting on them. It has been an unending, unsatisfying loop with having 4 of the same cushion stuffing replacements. In my opinion, La-Z-Boy has poor quality furniture and customer service if you have a problem.

    We moved into a new house and purchased sofa and recliner from La-Z-Boy. Their sales representatives were nice and the person who scheduled the delivery was great. The delivery went smoothly. Then I got a bill because we financed it today but I got a call saying that I was behind a payment. I pulled my original contract and it wasn’t dated until the 8th of August whereas our furniture was delivered on the 15th. According to the credit card company, they did a totally different date on my documents so there’s a lot of confusion. They had the furniture the next day when we actually applied but we hadn’t decided if we were gonna get the furniture then. I feel like there was hoo-doing on that end because I got a late charge on a credit card that I didn’t know and shouldn’t even been paying. Then they waived the $25 late fee, but I still think someone at the La-Z-Boy store had some fraud as they change dates.

The manager worked with us, got the price down, and got us out the door for the price that we told him that we could spend on a recliner. He bent over backwards to adjust the price.     We bought a sofa and 2 matching recliners from La-Z-Boy 4 years ago in California, then we sold them when we moved to Kansas. We really liked the style and comfort of them so we went back to La-Z-Boy when they had a sale, and we found 2 recliners that we liked even better so we special ordered them in a different fabric. We also wanted to get a more comfortable sofa, so we ordered a new one as well. The rep at their gallery was very personable, sweet, very informative and helpful as far as helping us pick the fabric and letting us know what options we had as far as fabric protection. I’ve done sales before, and the key thing to be able to sell something is just the knowledge about the product, because it has to be something that appeals to someone.

    Not only that, she was also very concerned that we are making the right selections, and kept asking us if it was what we wanted. She also asked us if we would like to take the fabric home to try them if they’re going to work before she turned the order in. We brought it home, tried it, and we’re glad we did. She was very careful not to schedule the delivery of my items until she was sure what day it was going to arrive in the warehouse, and I was very grateful for it because a lot of times, companies make commitments and then the item doesn’t show up when it’s supposed to. She had also been keeping track of our order to see when exactly it was going to arrive, so we’re very pleased with her. The chairs arrived when they said they were going to, and I spoke to another rep at the Overland Park store who told me the sofa is due to arrive in the warehouse on Monday, so they’re going to go ahead and take care of the delivery on Tuesday.

    The quality of the products we purchased were very good too, however the wooden feet on both chairs were all damaged, which was unfortunate, but La-Z-Boy came right back and took care of it. The company already ordered the new parts as soon as they arrive at our home, so I just need to call for them to do the repairs. I know that during shipment, things happen that are beyond the store’s control, especially when it’s a freight company taking care of it that’s why I’m very trusting that La-Z-Boy’s going to handle the problem as quickly as they possibly can. I’ve had a very pleasant experience with the company, and I’d recommend them.

    We purchased a new recliner in April 2015 from our local La-Z-Boy store. The chair was not special order of any kind but apparently they did not have one "in store". The chair was delivered to us in May 2015. Upon delivery we noticed that the foot mechanism/foot rest was not straight and immediately brought that to the attention of the delivery man. He told us that he would need to contact the repairs department and would get someone to come out to correct the problem.

    Three weeks later a repairman shows up, there needs to be parts ordered then he would return to install. Another three weeks the part comes in, we call to schedule for install... another three weeks for repairman to get out. We are not into July... still no chair. Repairman comes, this does not fix the problem, will need to order another part... call them when that part comes in to schedule install.

    August, part comes in, call to schedule repairman to come back again... they can be there October! We purchased this chair in APRIL... now OCTOBER! We have not been able to even use this chair and it has been in our possession for 6 months!! La-Z-Boy claims that the chair cannot be exchanged, it has to go through the repair department. I cannot believe that such a reputable company does not stand behind a product that was not right from day one and was delivered by their company and we notified them of this upon delivery! They have offered NO options at all and I find this completely unacceptable. We will not EVER purchase a La-Z-Boy recliner again for this reason... and I hate that because we love our other recliners!!

    I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 10 years. My other one was starting to wear down so we decided to purchase a new one. The quality is good. It's working fine. And the sales representative was good. However, I wasn't satisfied with the delivery procedure. Once we paid for it, they said it's not going to be in for a week and a half.

    I said, "What are you talking about?" She says, “We’re in O'Fallon, Illinois.” I said, "You don't deliver?" She says, "No it's got to go back to Chicago." I said, "You're going to take a chair I just bought $1,500 worth and ship it from your floor that I'm looking at right now to Chicago, 312 miles away and then ship it back to my house and take two weeks to do it?" "Well, that's the procedure." The manager was pretty snippy about it. I'm on disability so I can't haul it myself. A round trip of 600 miles when I'm 15 miles away. It was ridiculous.

The delivery people were sweating all over the place, leaving drops of sweat all over the couch. We videotaped small bugs on the couches, which someone on Facebook said might be bedbugs. We want our deposit of 900 back!

Also, my husband knew the manager from the La-Z-Boy store so we thought he could help us pick out something that we wanted. We got the electric one with lumbar support on special order, and we haven't scheduled the delivery because it's not yet done. And, the sales associate made sure in advance that we are aware that it will take 6 to 8 weeks. It was my first time in a La-Z-boy store and the prices were surprising - La-Z-Boy has a good name and their furniture has quality but surprisingly, their prices weren't as extravagant as I thought they were going to be. They were comparable to Art Van prices but I felt La-Z-Boy was better.

    The sales people were very pleasant and very helpful. What I liked about them is that they were listening to what my husband wanted and took him there. They weren't trying to push the expensive ones which I really appreciate. They figured out what exactly we wanted out of a chair and got information to narrow the choices down for us. I truly felt that the sales people were much more honest with us than Art Van who just want to make the sale and don't offer a lot of information. They also had a much bigger variety than I thought they would as well. I was really impressed. In fact, my sister was so impressed as well, she needs new furniture and she definitely is going to make the trip and purchase them from La-Z-Boy. We're just really happy with it and with the shopping experience from La-Z-Boy.

    We purchased a sofa and chair from La-Z-Boy thinking that we were purchasing a quality product (for what I also consider quite a bit of money). However, less than 3 years later, both recliners on the sofa are broken. I first contacted the store who sent me to customer service. The customer service hours of operation are ridiculous (9 am-3 pm Monday-Friday) so I can only call at lunch time. I was told that I needed new parts and they would be shipped to my local store with a call back in 2 weeks when they arrived. Three and a half weeks later, I called back because I had not heard anything and was told there was no record of my call, but that they would do some research and put in the order if it had not been placed and I would get a call back by the end of the day.

    Three days later (after no call back) I called again and was told again the order was not placed. I asked to speak to a manager who told me she would find out if the parts were in the warehouse and call me back within an hour. An hour and 45 minutes later with no call back, I called back again and was told they had located the parts and could send out a technician. The technician came out, but he had been given the wrong parts and could not fix it. He said he would put in the notes which parts I needed and specifically to call me back to reschedule. Two days later with no call back, I called again and was told they were still locating the parts and I would get a call back by the end of the day. I am not holding my breath for a call back. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I cannot believe that this type of service is tolerated within this business.

    We have been La-Z-Boy customers for over 25 years. I have just purchased my most expensive and LAST piece of La-Z-Boy furniture. We purchased a reclining sofa on 5/29/15 (leather w/ motion). When it was delivered it had damage so we called "Comfort Care" as we were instructed. A very nice gentleman came out and verified the damage. He made it sound like it would be 2-3 weeks and the parts would appear at our door and he would come back out then and fix everything.

    Well, it's now 9/9/2015 and we've yet to see any parts. I have called numerous times "Comfort Care" and have been told various stories depending on who you talk with. I spoke with a supervisor on Monday and she said she would contact the factory and follow up with me yesterday. She also offered a consolation prize of $150 credited back for my inconvenience. Surprise, Surprise...I've heard nothing back from her. I have had to initiate every bit of follow up. I am so disgusted. I hate the way the local La-Z-Boy store is now handing you off to a nationwide system once they complete the sale. I want to warn others that just it's not the same La-Z-Boy it used to be. Buyer beware. Wish I could turn back the hands of time on this one.

    I have a couch that we saved up to buy for our new house. The fabric has not held up and we made a claim to the La-Z-Boy furniture department. The technician came out and said he thought this was a great claim as there is pilling and wear on the arms, back pillows and seat cushions as well as threads pulling out. Now the manager is saying that the warranty doesn't cover this and it's probably our fault. We paid a lot for this couch and were told that the warranty was a good buy. This was a big mistake, the couch isn't even 3 years old and it's really rough to the touch and pulling apart on the seams.

    I have been calling for a month since they came out to my house and have gotten the run around. Now that I made a big fuss about not getting an answer to the claim I was told had already been submitted. I am being told that the "slam dunk" of a claim isn't even going to be submitted at all. They got the technician on the phone and he denied everything he said in my home and said he's sorry. I'd recommend that you record the conversation you have with the tech who comes in your home because the office manager makes the final decision and this office is very poorly run and they'll turn your words against you. We are sad to say that what we thought was a great company with good products is very disappointing and unwilling to follow through on any claims.

    The quality of workmanship for our special order, was NOT of what we thought of to be of La-Z-Boy. We suggest BEFORE taking delivery of your Special Order to thoroughly inspect the workmanship (seams symmetrical? lumps? stains in the fabric and inconsistent padding). Once you accept delivery and the deliver people leave, La-Z-Boy considers any issues you have, that are even brought up the next day, to be warranty issues and the process is very tedious and long. The Customer Service people, Sandra ** and her boss, Pat **, are not good at returning phone calls, demonstrating any sense of urgency.

    The local FRANCHISES in Texas are NOT able to assist. In fact, the local store suggested we call the customer service people because Customer Service was unresponsive to them. We called the Office of the President, because the local store had NO control over their Customer Service Department. Peggy at the Office of the President's office in Michigan, was helpful, she was responsive, but even saying that, she was only a liaison between us and the customer service department.

    Peggy was however, the only reason we had our issue resolved. The Customer Service Dept. wanted to reorder parts and do service work which was to take weeks and after going our initial ordeal in the first place, we feared having one issue after another and dealing with the customer service dept was so excruciating, we finally elected to return the furniture.

    Sad, we thought the furniture was very comfortable and we really wanted La-Z-Boy, but the quality was NOT was we had thought the La-Z-Boy brand stood for. We were so appalled at the lack of workmanship and even more appalled by the lack of urgency to get it right, that we elected to buy elsewhere. DO NOT accept your special order UNLESS you have thoroughly inspected the quality and are completely satisfied. DO NOT FEEL RUSHED WHEN THE FURNITURE IS DELIVERED.

    We purchased a new, large home and so we have a room for a man cave. We wanted a recliner so we went straight to La-Z-Boy because that's what they're known for. We also bought a bookshelf from them. In the beginning, a Chair and A Half on sale was included in the purchase. When we got home though, I noticed that there was another $186 worth of charges for the extended plan for the Chair and A Half, ottoman and the La-Z-Boy. My husband has no recollection of the fabric protection plan ever being discussed with him, it was just added on to the sales. We thought we were spending about $2100 but it was in reality over $2500. I went back into the store a few days later and asked them to take that charges off. They were very apologetic and took it off. I did however still cancel the order for the Chair and A Half and ottoman because we were on a budget.

    I didn't appreciate the customer relations and sales experience but I am a retail manager so I probably have a higher level of expectation during sales interaction than most people do. Be that as it may, I still think highly of the quality of La-Z-Boy products. Furthermore, their showroom is very clean and inviting - they have the vignette and the lifestyle set up so you can really picture yourself and the space.

    I bought two of these in July 2014 and for a while everything was fine. After a few months I got bedsore due to the center of the seat collapsing when I sat in it. Then the power wand on the first unit had to be replaced and a few months later the second one quit working also. Then the leg extensions on both recliners would no longer stay level starting in August 2015, and a week or so later the left side of both seats seemed to drop about two inches and a loud clicking sound began to occur about every other day or two.

    Finally when I called the Douglasville GA store to try to resolve this situation they said the only thing they could do was send out a repairman. I think it is obvious that I was sold two absolute lemons and feel that La-Z-Boy has shortchanged me on this. I have now purchased replacement recliners and am waiting for these two Clayton Lemons be picked up. I have been buying La-Z-Boy product for over 40 years without a complaint. The Douglasville Ga store offered me one solution... repair on a set of lemons. I am not happy with La-Z-Boy's response.

    We purchased a reclining sofa with synthetic leather upholstery. We paid extra for a warranty from Ultrashield. We've owned the sofa less than a year and noticed that outer layer of the upholstery was peeling off on one seat cushion for no apparent reason. La-Z-Boy told us to contact Ultrashield to file a claim. I called them to report the claim and was told that because there had been a loss of color (which only happened because the entire outer layer of the fabric had peeled off) that the claim would not be covered. They also refused to cover it because I did not call within 5 days of when I noticed the problem. We spent thousands on this sofa plus extra for the warranty, and now we have a sofa that looks like piece of junk. The entire warranty was a ripoff.

    On not one, but two of the same recliner (a replacement done as a "courtesy" in 2014), the fabric nap has not held up on the arms and cushion area where the knees hit. The nap is discolored, matted, scratchy and apparently wearing out. The first chair was replaced as a "courtesy" from La-Z-Boy since the year warranty was up by about 5 months after I decided the problem was just not right for such a new piece of furniture. The new, exact chair replacement has not held up for even a year. My calls to La-Z-Boy are fruitless, and promised calls are never returned. I always have to call them for any information. This was even true with the first recliner that they reluctantly replaced. Last week when I had to call about the second recliner (after waiting about a month to hear from them) I was told that the matter was due to "issues in the home", which is preposterous, as I am a senior citizen with no pets, and the chair is gently used.

    I asked to speak to the "escalation department supervisor", Renee **, who, of course, was unavailable, and when I asked for a return call, it was, of course, never returned. La-Z-Boy considers the case closed as the wearing fabric is due, according to them, to "issues in the home". I have since written letters to the La-Z-Boy CEO and manager of the Comfort Care Customer Service.

    Here are my issues: The first chair should have withstood seventeen months of use with no apparent wear on the fabric. It was replaced as a "courtesy" they put it, but the new chair is doing the same thing in less than a year. In the opinion of La-Z-Boy, the consumer is made to feel as the reason for the poor quality of the La-Z-Boy fabric. This is not an acceptable answer from a supposedly well-respected company. The fabric grade is obviously of very poor quality. La-Z-Boy does not stand by its reputed reputation of a high-quality furniture store. I have had better-wearing furniture and better service from lesser-quality furniture stores with a microfiber fabric, as is on the first and second recliner.

    The Customer Care division of La-Z-Boy obviously does NOT care about brand quality and handling of the consumer. This shows by their lack of returning calls, and their reasoning that "nap compression" is caused by "issues in the home", which is a poor excuse for inferior quality and not standing by their product or its guarantee (the second recliner was showing wear in less than a year's time).

    I am deeply disappointed and disgusted in La-Z-Boy's handling of this matter. Lack of concern shows from the inordinate amount of calls and time on hold that I have spent with them, their never, ever calling me back about anything, and their standard answer that "issues in the home" is the reason for their lack of concern for their reputation, quality and customer satisfaction. Shop at some other store - that is my best advice and I am taking it myself. The voice of the consumer must be heard. That is why I am giving this advice. Receipt verification can be provided, but I cannot get it to add it at the present moment.

    Good luck getting parts quickly. We purchased a La-Z-Boy Platinum Power Recliner in April 2015 and 4 months later (first week of August 2015), the motor and leg lift went. It's now almost a month later and still not fixed. Our local furniture company (Wolf Furniture, Harrisburg, PA) cannot get a confirmed date from La-Z-Boy on when the parts will ship (or even if they will ship). Despite the fact that the chair is under warranty, we have offered to pay all shipping costs for express shipping - turns out La-Z-Boy does not offer this as an option. How can a company in 2015 not be able to know when parts will be available and not offer express shipping? So much for customer service!

    I recently bought a sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy and I had an issue. When I went into the showroom with my four kids, I picked the sleeper sofa out by a swatch of the color. I didn’t get to see what the whole sofa looked like, and when it arrived, I contacted La-Z-Boy because the color did not look the same as to what it was in the store, maybe due to the bright lights, but it looked very different. Their rep told me that there was nothing she can do for me, and that there was a 30% restocking fee.

    They have very strict guidelines in restocking fees and I understand, but I’ve never seen anything like it, and it’s not so cool since I am a repeat customer and this doesn’t seem the same. I was then given the wrong quote on the restocking fee the first time around, and instead of paying 500 dollars, the quote ended up charging more than what it should have been, but then the store manager caught that. I was still unhappy so I requested to be connected to a district manager. 25 minutes later I get a call saying that the restocking fee has been waived, so I went back to the store and looked again.

    I then decided not to buy another sleeper sofa, but I went with a much more expensive set instead which was a thousand dollars more than what the original one was. They’re having a 30% store wide sale right that wasn’t going on when I was there, but I made it very clear with the lady that I was going to hold off until Labor Day to buy it, and so I called and was credited that sale, but I wasn’t happy to pay another $100 to have my set delivered. We spent $2400 for the furniture, and we expect quality that’s why I spent that extra, and it’s crappy that I had to drop $200 in delivery fees. I would like to be credited the amount since I paid twice to get my item delivered.

    Purchased a new living room suite. Came poorly tailored, in my opinion, and is uncomfortable and breaking down already. Cushions marketed as down are mostly feathers and poke you. Cushions ill fitting, awkward looking and showing stretch marks. I do not like to sit on the furniture. Tables are nice, but overpriced. Still working on warranty service. Not happy with quality control. I was warned by many people not to buy at La-Z-Boy. No one in real life recommended it.

    Where do I start? The best experience I had was when I was purchasing my sofa and recliner chair. My salesperson was helpful, considerate and patient. Wait 6 weeks to get our products in like we were told and then everything goes so far downhill, I don't know where to start. Delivery guys show up, don't take the backs off the couch or the chair and shove it through our front door. Damages our front door and tears the arm on the chair and the red paint from the door is on the chair. But delivery guys say "it will fit no problem." Call a tech out, extremely helpful and nice, orders new upholstery and says it will be 2 to 3 weeks and he will replace. He sees the door, calls in and says we need our door fixed. We get in contact with Chris and Shane ** who is the operations manager over deliveries. Chris tells me they will replace the door so get an estimate, send it to them for a comparable door.

    We do email the quote and get an email that says "it's too expensive we won't pay it so we are going to send a repair guy to fix your door". So now I'm going to get stuck with a door that wasn't damage to a door that was patched because you won't follow your word and replace the door. So then we get a spill on our couch, doesn't wipe up with water or dry. When we go back and look the water has left a water ring on our couch. Cleaning tech comes and cleans it but I can still see a water stain and not fixed. Call customer service and we get an earful because our salesperson says our couch should never do that especially from La-Z-Boy. Customer service doesn't call us back and won't fix the issue which is I can't use my couch with two small children and me and my wife because I can't get water on it. I want a new couch and a new door but do they care? No not at all, they leave you stuck with junk.

    If you want a real review ask your customers who try and get help and get nowhere. I want a new furniture or return it and fix my door that you damaged not me. I spent $2500 and got crap delivery, crap service and a crap couch and a damaged door. Do not buy from them. If you want to see our call records look them up 4 weeks now and no farther forward.

    On 2/22/15, my husband and I purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner couch from this store. We noticed that there was a smell from the recliner couch, but thought that it would dissipate in a few days. The smell persisted and we finally couldn't stand it anymore. On June 6, we decided we were tired of waiting for the smell to go anyway. We figured out the smell was coming from the stuffing and the couch smelled like rotten eggs and cheap vulcanized rubber. I contacted Customer Service and finally on 6/29, got a representative to come to the house to smell it for himself. On July 3, the sofa was picked up to be repaired. On July 7, I called and inquired as to the status and was told that a replacement "part" had been ordered and should be shipped by 7/25. On July 31, I called Customer Service again for an update and was told they would get back to me and let me know status.

    I called on 8/7 and spoke to another Customer Representative who told me she had no idea when the couch would be repaired or replacement part would be in. At that point, I asked for a replacement couch, store credit or a refund. With the runaround, we are thinking that a refund would be best because we have not been happy at all with the product and service that we have received so far. In the meantime, we have no couch and am out $1621.49. At no time has La-Z-Boy denied that the recliner doesn't smell. In fact, they picked the recliner up on July 3, 2015 after it was determined that the couch smelled by the customer service representative that came to my house. We had the recliner as long as we did because we were hopeful that the recliner would "outgas" the smell of rotten eggs because the recliner smelled just like the showroom. To date, no representative from the company has called me to tell me what part is on order.

    I have been the one calling and when I ask what is taking so long, I am told they are waiting for a part. Again, what part is it? If so, why can't I get an exchange or store credit instead of sitting in my living room in a lawn chair while I wait for the "alleged" part to be delivered and then MAYBE I will have a recliner to sit in? How long do I have to wait? Until the warranty period is up? Again what part? Where is it coming from? A recliner that I paid $1621.49 in February assuming that I was purchasing a recliner that I would have for a long time and that I would be sitting in at this very moment. La-Z-Boy's own website states "WARRANTIES ARE FOR REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR SUBSTITUTION ONLY, IN LA-Z-BOY'S SOLE DISCRETION." So I guess La-Z-Boy's discretion is that I don't need my recliner until they are ready to give me one.

    As of today, I have been without my recliner for 46 days and I am angry. As a consumer I think this is very unfair because they have my money and I've sitting at home with nothing to show for it. Now what happens? I disagree with La-Z-Boy's customer service reply to my phone calls using the excuse that it was in my home for a few months so I am not entitled to a refund or replacement. I do have a one year warranty for fabrics, leather, seat cushions and parts. I believe that a smelly seat cushion is a defective part. I didn't bargain on getting a recliner that smells. There is still no date for delivery of the replacement seat from the manufacturer to store or when I will have the recliner sofa back in my home. As of today, September 1, 2015, I have not had the recliner sofa for 60 days. There is no bright side for me as the consumer on this issue.

    Even if I receive the recliner back and the new seat cushion smells, I am back where I started fighting to get my money and then have to send recliner back and then I am still out $1,621.49 and time spent trying to get this resolved and a defective recliner. In my research on the internet, I have found that this is a known problem. I am so disappointed in La-Z-Boy. My husband and I thought we were getting a comfortable smell-free reclining sofa, but this has not happened. We need help in getting this resolved! The store owner at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries located at 3529 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95117 (408) 249-9295 is not helpful.

    Ordered a chair with custom fabric - after a little more than 12 weeks, it was delivered with multiple scratches on the black wooden arm. After calling, another arm was ordered and delivered. Couldn't get the repair guy out for 2 weeks due to schedule. When he finally came and we opened the box, there it was a brown wooden arm! They had all the info but failed to get the right arm ordered. No problem the repair man said - he'll go back and order the correct one. I called today - a week later - to inquire about not receiving the new arm in the mail and guest what? They haven't placed an order for it yet! What's up with this company? The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing - very frustrating!

    My disabled mother bought the chair in 2012. Today it stopped working, so after going through the troubleshooting, we decided to call for service. The chair is out of warranty, so it would be $109.00 for a service call, not a problem. We couldn't get a date closer than 10 days away, but we were told they'd try to make it sooner. The problem is that we were asked to make payment immediately for work that would occur some days in the future. And if I refused, I couldn't get an appointment. I can't think of any goods or services that demands payment before the work is even started, and the justification offered was that "it's policy." This policy will keep me from buying anything else from you and others will think twice about where to spend their money. The chair was bought by my mother, Patricia **, living at my address.

    We bought two couches and two Leather chairs from La-Z-Boy Furniture. I am happy with the purchase, except for the fact that the couch cushions look like we have had the couches for 2 yrs or longer. The first time we sat on them, the fabric started twisting on the cushions... I would flip them over and move them around to try and stop them from looking worn and old... but nothing helps. The service dept has always been very friendly, they sent someone out to take a look and see what was going on. The man sat in the floor and straighten all the cushions so that the foam was correctly fitting in the cushions.

    I had tried to do that myself, but could not accomplish it. So when he left, all the cushions and material lined up, and it looked nice and uniform again... Well right away they started doing it again. I have tried to straighten it myself, but I don't have the strength in my hands to do it. So I have called service dept again. They are sending someone out right away. Every time I call, they schedule a time but I don't know how they are going to make it better, they will just twist again... so I have to wait and see what the service man suggest. I am happy with my purchase other than that.

    My once lovely leather sofa has been losing color. I purchased a color restoration kit, recommended by my local La-Z-Boy store, which gave awful results. The color loss is spreading. The sofa is only 7 years old and the damage started after the 5 year warranty ran out. From a distance, the sofa still looks great, but close up, the loss of color is very noticeable.     We went in to purchase a recliner. I was very specific about the color I want -- grey! No tan, no blue, no green -- grey! When she showed me a sample 1/2 inch big I asked to see it on something larger. She showed me a couch & claimed this is the color. It was grey. We ordered & paid for the chair, waited a month to get it & when it was delivered, it was tan! La-Z-Boy does not offer returns.

    We are now stuck with dealing with their "warranty" company. For two months we have gone back & forth with them. Not only is the chair the wrong color, it's falling apart. Their warranty guy agreed that it's not grey, it has defects & is poor workmanship. He turned in his report & when they finally contacted us 3 weeks later, all they said was "We will replace the base & if the color's not right, go into the store."

    We went back to the store & the manager wanted to argue. Bottom line, he told us, "Too bad, that's the color you signed off on." I told him, maybe his salesperson wrote the wrong color. He disagreed. Bottom line is they don't stand behind their product, workmanship sucks & I'm stuck with a tan chair I paid over $600 for! I will not be back, I will not recommend them to anyone & I will tell everyone I know not to purchase from them! Horrible!

    We got the Rowan loveseats (one manual, one powered) from La-Z-Boy in Paramus. We have two other La-Z-Boy recliners at home but I needed the loveseat because I can't use my legs the most.     I have had problems with my recliner since I bought it. I bought two recliners, and one is jut perfect and has never given me a problem. The other one has fallen apart, and service repair came from MD free of charge and fixed it. I was very pleased with the way they promptly serviced my complaint. Everything was good for about a year. After that time, things just began falling apart. After three years I need new furniture, and that's simply ridiculous. The chair, after being fixed, the leather has started coming off of the chair. It looks awful and to think I paid extra to have a protectant put on the chair.

    It's just my husband and myself. We are senior citizens and we both work. We sit in our chairs in the evening. There are no children or pets jumping on the furniture. Both lamps, very expensive, are broke -- the knobs to turn them on and off won't turn. They are all three-way lamps. I have always had La-Z-Boy furniture and I have never had such problems. Something has definitely changed. La-Z-Boy furniture today is not the La-Z-Boy furniture we grew up with. All I can say is, never again. I have a 2005 Cadillac SRX and the leather looks brand-new. I sit in it as much as I sit in my recliner. I've always been a La-Z-Boy customer, always pleased, but I'm telling you something has changed. This is not the furniture I would ever expect and I spent a lot of money. Never again.

    I ordered a Aston Chair with power and the memory foam seat with fabric protection. I got the chair sooner than they said I would and was so happy... until I sat in it. It's a piece of junk! The seat cushion is lower than it should be and the fabric below the cushion is raised in a half circle so I literally sink down into the seat with my legs up higher and have to fight to get out of it, and that's just sitting. The lumbar support is broken and I can feel the entire corner of it poking my back. It marked my back with lines and caused bruising. The lumbar support box moves around inside the back of the chair so I got a full array of bruises and marks on my back the first day, and was the most uncomfortable I've ever been in a chair.

    There is a gap of about 5-6 inches between one arm and the back and the other is about 1/8 inch. The chair squeaks as the legs are raised, like a door on Halloween, so annoying and ridiculous for a brand new $2,000 chair. The chair squeaks and makes a ton of noise when you rock in it or move in it. The legs are all marked and dinged up. The fabric on the back upper right hand corner is not upholstered correctly so there is a huge wing of fabric flapping in the wind on the back. Basically this thing is the biggest piece of crap furniture I have ever gotten! Go to a garage sale you'll get better quality and prices!!!

    So... the first day I get it I call my salesperson and say I'm not accepting it. Salesman states “I'll talk to the Manager and get right back with you,” no he doesn't. I call the Manager the next day and he says “I'll call you back,” no he doesn't. He has his Minions call to tell me to call Customer Service. I call again so I can reach Customer Service for a replacement. I call the 800 number and it will be 3 weeks before they can come out and no they won't come take it back, I'm stuck with my crap Recliner until La-Z-Boy decides if they are willing to take the crap Recliner they made back.

    So much for fixing what is wrong in a timely manner! Days and calls go back and forth and finally a Repair Tech. comes out. Does he fix it, well of course not! He checks it out, takes a ton of pictures and says he'll go do a report and let me know. A few days go by, I hear nothing so I call the store Manager again, and he can see the report online but has no answer. I ask for a replacement so I can at least have a chair I can sit in and am told no. A week goes by and I call the Manager again, he still knows nothing but finally tells me the Repair Tech. recommended replacement due to all the crap wrong with it. He states they'll call me as soon as approved for replacement.

    Another week goes by and nothing happens of course. They don't care about Customer Service AFTER you buy it, only when they're taking your money. I call Customer Service about the replacement and big surprise they know nothing either, it's being handled by a department and she doesn't know what the status is and she doesn't know her name even. I tell her “it's been 3 weeks come get it” (I paid $89.99 for delivery of crap, pick up the crap for free, it's called Customer Service) and no of course they can't. I have to wait another indefinite period of time for someone to decide what they are going to do with my defective piece of crap recliner.

    So now I have paid for it, received a piece of crap, and now I get to wait to see if they will take it back and give me what I ordered! DON'T ORDER FROM LA-Z-BOY. DON'T BUY FROM LA-Z-BOY!!! This whole experience has been horrendous and I'm off to court Monday to file a small claim against them to get my money back and get rid of my $2,000.00 piece of LA-Z-BOY crap recliner!!! And the best part was today when I called my Credit Card company and disputed the deposit charge on the crap Recliner. If LA-Z-BOY can't give me what they guaranteed for life would work then I can't pay for a crap Recliner. So sad they are such a horrific company!

The sales rep in the gallery was very helpful. However, I wasn't too happy with how the recliner was when it was delivered - there seemed to be an issue with it and I had to call somebody out right away. They had to come and look at the chair, and order a part for it. But still, I paid so much for the recliner, I want something that doesn't require a part right away. I'm regretting that I got this piece (and not the leather) - the way it separated and the way it fits together. I wish I would have gotten a different style that was all one piece and maybe a different fabric.

    Bought a Sleeper sofa 12/2014. Started having problems in July 2015. Called Customer care. They are unwilling to listen to problems. They say they are sorry, but nothing gets resolved. I have made 8 calls to get a tech out to look at sleeper sofa. The frame is rusting and leaving rust stains on my beige carpet. They have made 5 appointments with 4 of the appointments being a "no show" by Tech. Customer care staff says that a tech will call the night before between 6-9 to let you know when he will be there the following day. Has never happened.

    Customer care says it may be a malfunction in their computers, and that is why I get no prior call. I am a working person and can just not take off work and hope someone will be by to "look" at my rusting sleeper sofa. Expect great frustration and no resolution from anyone at the customer care phone #. It would be nice if customer service and tech would actually provide service to their customers. This has been going on for 5 weeks now. I am totally dissatisfied with my dealing with this CO. Never again buying furniture from them. I have been a customer for over 50 years, but not anymore, because of their Customer Care Staff.

    The worst customer (non) service experience in my 63 years walking this planet. I purchased a motorized recliner-sofa for over $1800.00. I took delivery of it on 8/19/2015, and by 8/23/2015 both seating positions were not operating properly. I won't go into the epic of all I've been through with Lousy-Boy Furniture, it will take too long to relate it all. Suffice it to say, I STRONGLY suggest you not patronize this company. You will be sorry you did! So far, I have filed complaints with the Long Island Better Business Bureau, the Long Island Department of Consumer Affairs, and the New York State Attorney General's Office. They did respond so far to the BBB and outright lied to them in their response. Once Lousy-Boy has your money, there is ZERO service... absolutely ZERO anything. If you have even a minor issue, you are **.

    I like La-Z-boy and I got four of them over the past 30 years. My most recent purchase with them was a recliner - the extra wide one. The rep was nice, and I had no problem with the delivery since that went good. The only thing is it used to be fine to get my chairs fixed, but now it's a little questionable. The recliner I had before was an extra wide one which I like. The metal on the back got fatigued and it started leaning to the right badly. I used to be able to take it to the store and get it fixed, but now I can't. I don't know how to go about getting it fixed. That upsets me about that one and that's also why I had to get a new one. But other than that, La-Z-Boy is a great chair.

    THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We bought the sectional BEFORE the 4th of July. We were told it would take 2-4 weeks to make and ship. The first time we called we were told it was changed to 4-6 weeks. It is going on TWO months now and we have yet to receive even a phone call with an update! So of course WE have to call and hunt down where our paid merchandise is. We were told that (somehow) two pieces are missing!! What kind of incompetent company is this?!     We decided to buy a sofa and loveseat from La-Z-Boy when we realized the chair I had from them since I got married was still in perfect condition. I can't see any reason why my couches wouldn't be that way, unlike a couple of my old leather couches from another company which I'm too embarrassed to have people and friends look at (it's not even two years when the leather started breaking down). At the La-Z-Boy gallery, I saw what I like, told them it was what I wanted and then that was it. We've only had it for a month but its quality is still perfect. I would recommend La-Z-Boy. Most of my friends would usually go out and buy stuff from them after I bought the chair.

    We purchased two recliners from La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. We paid over two thousand dollars for them. We have been customers in the past and satisfied, but not this time. The two chairs are not even 1 1/2 years old and the arms are already breaking down. I have spent the past month calling the service center, and corporate offices to no avail. They are saying that the arms are broken down because of pet damage. Granted I do have a dog and a cat, but my cat could not have caused the damage, and my dog is not allowed on our furniture. I sent them pictures before the chairs were picked up, but it showed no damage. Now they are trying to tell me that they know it is pet damage because there was pet hair on the chair. Really???? We will never purchase from them again since they do not honor their warranty. Wow!!! We should have done research instead of relying on their name and our previous experience!

    I had my furniture for a while and I was ready to get new ones. I've never had a worse experience with a company ever. My furniture was delivered 5 times and was broken every time and on the fifth time, it was taken back. The first time they brought it to me, it was broken on just on one piece and not even the console. And so they had to take it, return it and bring it, then they brought it back the next time. Thinking I'm an idiot, they brought a different color but it was just a little different they said because the one I had bought had been discontinued. That one was broken and they no longer had it. So I took it but it was torn and was not good so they took it back again.

    The next time they brought it to me, they said "Oh, we can piece it together." I paid too much money for you to piece anything together. The guy says "It's not that bad." I said "What do you mean it's not that bad?" They sent a different delivery this time because they accused the other one of breaking it, which they had not broken it unless they dropped it putting it in the truck. They didn't drop it bringing it into my home. The guy said "Just don't let anybody heavy sit on it. It can be fixed." I'm like "So I have a weight limit on who can sit on my furniture? Are you kidding?" I said "Take it back." And then from the get-go I had the lady come out here and she measured it and everything and I said, "Is it a wall hugger?" She looked it up and she said "Yes, it is." which I needed.

    When they finally got one here that was semi-okay, it was not wall hugger. With that being said and them having nothing else, they came and took the furniture back. But with the way I was treated by the manager a couple of times, and the way I was disrespected by one of the delivery guys the whole time he was in my house, I would never suggest anyone to go back to La-Z-Boy. I may carry a cane but it does not take away from my intelligence. I thought I was going to a very reputable company. I bought carpet and tile to match the furniture and they changed it. I never ended up keeping it, and after four months I don't have a replacement because I threw my other stuff out. They need to do something because this doesn't make any sense.

    This will be hard to tell our story in as few words as possible and tell ALL the problems we have had, but here is a summary of what we are dealing with. We heard La-Z-Boy had a good reputation for great furniture but at a higher cost. We decided to spend the money and purchase furniture that would last for years so we went to La-Z-Boy and picked out the style and fabric and paid over $4,000 for two pieces. After 9 weeks it was delivered and we loved it except the sofa had flaws. We quickly learned it was not easy to deal with the repair department or get calls returned from our La-Z-Boy store. After waiting weeks a repair person finally came out and told us the sofa had too many problems and he was recommending we order a new sofa.

    One of the problems was the fabric had many flaws and he stated we were not the first to complain. After numerous conversations with store employees, the manager finally called to tell us she had approval for us to select new furniture. We selected a different style furniture with a different material and spent an additional $1,500. After 6 weeks our new furniture was delivered and although we loved the furniture, the loveseat would not fit together as the frame was bent.

    The delivery man was very frustrated and stated this was the second bent frame for him that week. We questioned whether the manufacturer did not put them together to make sure everything works before they leave the warehouse. So the delivery man delivered our new sofa but left our old loveseat (which did not match) just so we had places to sit. He stated someone would be calling us within a few hours to tell us how long it would take to fix the loveseat. We waited three days and then called the store manager again to find out what was going on. She stated she had heard of our problems the day of delivery. Then why didn't she call us that day? She stated it would take several weeks to get the loveseat fixed.

    By this time, we were so frustrated by their lack of communication, their lack of caring about customers. We told her to come pick up their furniture and we wanted a full refund of all the money we had spent. She said she would have to get approval from higher up and would call us back, which she did a couple days later. She also stated we would be receiving a call from the delivery company with a date for them to come pick up our new sofa and old/new loveseat and once it was picked up she would request a check from the higher up for our entire amount spent.

    We waited almost a week and no one called us, so we called her back only to find out she quit. Now we had to explain our entire situation to the Assistant Manager. We explained to him that someone needed to come pick up this furniture asap due to the fact we bought new furniture from somewhere else and it was to be delivered this week. He scheduled a pick up date which was this morning and the delivery man showed up but only had paperwork to pick up the sofa. So here we are waiting for a refund of approximately $5,500 and a loveseat that will sit two people. Thank goodness there are only two of us! We are over the top frustrated and will NEVER recommend or shop at La-Z-Boy! We want our money back!!!

    I cannot even begin to explain my disappointment regarding our purchase and experience with La-Z-Boy. We purchased a custom recliner in April and had it delivered in May. We paid over $1,000 for the 1 chair. We realized immediately that the chair had not been made properly. It is uneven and not symmetrical. We notified the local store who told us they do not handle any service issues and they directed us to the Customer Service line. We talked to Angel in Customer Service and she arranged for a technician to come look at the chair (earliest appointment available was 6 weeks out). The technician looked at the chair for 5-10 minutes and just took a few pictures and measurements, all of which did not include the areas of the chair that we told him appeared to be misaligned or incorrect measurements.

    Angel received the report from the technician and said that based on that information, they are recommending a solution which is to replace one of the arm pads. We immediately notified Angel this was not an acceptable solution as we can tell this will not correct all the issues with this chair. She said we would need to address this with her boss, Pat. We have tried on multiple occasions, over several months to contact Pat via phone and via email. We have NEVER received a response from her. We've also left messages with Pat's assistant who said she would have Pat call us. She never did. They have now sent us a replacement arm pad. Clearly they have not listened to us or taken the time to truly understand the issues with this chair. Changing the arm pad WILL NOT FIX IT. The only other solution they have offered is for us to return the chair and pay a 20% restocking fee. Why would I pay a restocking fee?

    I didn't just simply decide I don't want the chair or it's not my style and want to return it. No, I actually do want the chair but I want the chair to be built properly. I want what I paid for!!! And I want the Customer Service department to actually provide service to their customers. Why is that so difficult? So I am no closer to a solution than I was when I first reported the issue in May and we have this recliner sitting in our living room with the tags still on it that we never use. We certainly don't want La-Z-Boy to blame us for any damage to the chair (believe me this would be in-line with their customer service response) so we are not using it. I have asked for Pat's manager's name so I have a point of escalation since Pat clearly does not care about our situation.

    I continue to be told that Pat is the highest in the chain of command at Customer Service. Really??? I have now voiced my concerns on the La-Z-Boy Facebook page and was directed to email socialsupport@la-z-boy.com. So I did and filed a complaint with BBB and also left a voicemail for President Steven Kincaid. I'm looking for anyone at La-Z-Boy who is willing to ensure we get the product that we paid for. They certainly didn't mind taking my money but for some reason they have a very difficult time holding up their end of the agreement.

    When me and my wife took our time to find what we thought was the right powered reclining couch, we were apparently wasting our time. We went with La-Z-Boy thinking we were getting a well built and supported piece of furniture. We bought several pieces. But now were beginning to regret it. We were just moving to a new house and all of our goods, furniture, and appliances were arriving when the La-Z-Boy furniture arrived. So the fact that the couch had apparently been damaged to some extent was overlooked for a few weeks because we both had to leave town almost immediately after having our household goods and furniture delivered.

    When we finally discovered that the power mechanism was malfunctioning, my wife reported it to the store who said they'd look into it. We finally had to call customer support ourselves. We waited for weeks for them to send a contractor to look at it. He wanted my wife, who has had recent back surgery to help him move the couch. She didn't. He looked at it and said that he'd turn in what he found to the customer support. Then after another week of hearing nothing, I contacted the customer service. They said that they guess they better order the parts then. I argued that what I bought was supposed to be new and in working condition and not broken and waiting for repair. I felt, and still feel like, the couch should be replaced. No one has even sat on the good end for a total of an hour over the few months that it has been sitting here.

    Customer support said the store would need to authorize replacement. I asked them to have the manager call me, which he never did. He called my wife and gave us the same line as customer support; that we should have tested it thoroughly when it arrived and now it's too late to have it replaced. But he did say that a replacement could be authorized by customer support. He told her that he'd have them send another repair person because the other one should have never asked her to help move the furniture. So, here we are, with a virtually unused broken piece of furniture, not knowing when or if we'll have it fixed and both customer support, and the store manager, saying the other party can authorize a replacement. I'll never consider, or recommend, La-Z-Boy again unless they make this right in a hurry.

    The beginning of my shopping experience was great. The staff in the store were knowledgeable and helpful. We went in several times before finally purchasing a large sectional and a recliner. We were very happy at this point! Then the shipping process was atrocious. We set a delivery date, but it wasn't in the purchase history so we had to set a new one. It finally came. But the recliner did not come like we were told! We had to wait another week before getting the recliner. We had a custom piece made for the sectional and knew it would be delivered later. But the date kept getting pushed back and back. Finally we have everything we ordered. Bottom line is: very happy with the products we purchased.     I paid $199 deposit. La-Z-boy kept re-placing hold for the balance $399 EVERYDAY. Bank put hold. Now La-Z-Boy won't deliver. Want my $199 returned ASAP. I purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy on July 16, 2015. I have waited several weeks for this recliner. Per La-Z-Boy's own contract, they would put a "hold" for the $399 balance on my card once a week. Instead, they tried re-holding the $399 everyday. This caused my bank to reject the daily re-authorization. I assumed they handled it since I called 2 days the week prior (Thursday and Friday). Both days I was told my delivery was set for Saturday.

    On Friday, they told me my delivery window was 10 am - 1 pm the next day (8/22/15). I took the day off work at my own expense. By 12:38 pm, I called to get a status, only to be told that they weren't going to deliver today and that I still have a balance of $399. This failure to be able to charge is due solely to the poor business practices of La-Z-Boy (Putting $399 on hold on a DAILY, not weekly) basis. At this point, I just want my $199 returned to my credit card so I can buy a chair somewhere other than La-Z-Boy.

    I spent 2 hours on the phone Saturday, plus the time I took off work for the delivery. La-Z-Boy should not only return my $199, they should pay me for the time I took off today. If they had been honest in their own literature, I could have contacted my bank and let them know that La-Z-Boy has strange business practices. I hope Consumer Affairs can urge La-Z-Boy to revise their written policies & procedures and be an honest and accurate company. Please let me know how to resolve this issue. The Oxnard store and "Customer Care" were of little to no help.

    We purchased two motion recliners from La-Z-Boy six months ago and are extremely pleased with the comfort and quality. I am writing this review because I am having major problems with my Palliser motion couch and just wanted everyone to know that we wished we had used the same company for our couch purchase. Our expensive Palliser couch is understuffed, stretched out and uneven after 6 months of use. It is going back to the store due to poor quality, the zipper broke after a repairman tried to restuff it. It looks terrible.

    I got a chair from La-Z-Boy and had issues with it. When the men came to put it up, they said that they couldn't do it because a piece was missing. They took a whole bag onto it and hooked the other piece. They sent another guy out and when he got back, he told them it was something about the room but I have plenty of space in between and on the other side of the chair. I don't know what's going on. This has been going on ever since July and I've been getting a run-around. I'd never buy anything else from them again.

    My husband and I had eclectic taste, so we've had a disjointed family room for about eight and a half years. I finally said, "Okay, were gonna be adults now and have a real family room." When I went into the store, I picked La-Z-Boy because they were a Michigan company. My parents have bought recliners from them for years and we support products made in the US. I stepped in the La-Z-Boy store, was greeted by a gentleman and told him what I was looking for. He handed me over to Janelle.

    Janelle spent a lot of time with me, took me around the store and showed me the style I needed, which I didn’t know what it was. So she helped me pick up fabric and then set up an appointment for me with the designer, Megan. Both of them came out to our house, did measurements and made recommendations. They saw we had a funky layout in our family room and they really helped. It’s a big, odd-shaped room and megan found a sectional that would fit in the spaces that we had, so she was great and we loved her. Also, Janelle was patient, kind and nice so I want her to get credit for the fact that she spent time with us.

    We had said that we wanted everything delivered at one time ‘coz we’re gonna clear out the room full of mismatched furniture. We ordered in the beginning of May, and everything was in by the third week of June, except for the ottomans. We kept being told, mid-July, end of July, so I said we’re gonna wait coz I’m not taking delivery until we have everything. Then not even a week later, I called and they said that our stuff's in. But, end of July to the fourth week in June is a big difference. It's weird but I know it’s not their fault so I don’t blame the store at all because I know they’re going by what the computers say. I know everything that we ordered was all custom, so I definitely understood that it would take a while. All I cared about was when it was all here and it was fine if it went longer than 6-8 weeks. It was just really weird that everything was done but these ottomans, which were small pieces. But I’ve still recommended it to friends.

Today's shoppers are finding such limited choices in these two areas when shopping for furniture. It is beige, brown or black these days for most furniture! Yuck!     We purchased a couch & love seat less than 3 years ago & the material has worn thin on arm & foot rest, & back cushion from normal use by 2 adults.     Regarding misleading and false advertising. We saw an ad on TV talking about La-Z-Boy's annual sale. My wife and I went to the store located at 1046 Woodruff Rd. We were looking for a chair for our camper. A real nice saleslady showed us several recliners. There was a big tag on all chairs showing the regular price and the sale price. We decided to purchase one than had been marked down from $999.00 to $599.00. As it turned out we could not purchase the chair for the sale price of $599.00, we were going to have to pay an extra 99.00 for fabric protection. We informed the saleslady that the chair was going in our camper and would only be used two or three times a year and we didn't need fabric protection. The saleslady went to the manager and explained that we didn't want the fabric protection.

    The manager refused to sell us the chairs unless we paid for the treatment or we they could ship us one from the warehouse without the protection, however we would have to pay $50.00 shipping charge. We were told that all of the chairs in the store had the fabric protection on them, if that was true then the sale price tag should have displayed the extra charge. I am highly disappointed with this type of sales tactics. Any advertised item should be sold at the sale's price without trying to add an extra 99.00. This kind of tactics is what destroys consumers' trust in local businesses.

    We moved into a brand new home, and so we were looking for new furniture to fit our new home. We first met with Ramon, who is I think the manager at the Yorba Linda La-Z-Boy where we made the purchase. While we were going through the process, he suggested that we utilize the design services which was free and is something that they offer to help us in terms of opening our new home, so we took him up on that service. We continued to interact with him by phone, email and other ways as well. The result has been good, and we really liked everything we purchased through working with Brianna **, one of the designers at the store.

    When the delivery came, however, that’s when we’ve had some challenges. For example, when the coffee table was delivered, they claimed they had called us before the delivery, but I did not get a call. Then it turned out that the table was scratched, so we immediately talked to Ramon and got that resolved. He quickly ordered a new table and while waiting for the new ones to come in, we're still using the one that was scratched. Then, maybe 2 or 3 weeks after we got the entertainment center, because we had not taken a look at it closely, but had to move it because we got some new curtains and drapes installed, there were a couple of scratches on the unit on the front. That took over 2 weeks to get a response from La-Z-Boy, and someone is coming out tomorrow to look at it. I’m not convinced it’s going to be repaired but we’ll see when that happens tomorrow.
