I purchased a recliner and sofa, a chair and a half, and an ottoman from La-Z-Boy. Everybody in the sales team was very kind. It was excellent service. I’m an artist, and I told them that I needed colors and my place to look like an artist’s apartment. The designer was excellent, and helped me mix and match. Even the delivery man was very nice. He showed me how to use the recliner even though I already saw it at the store. It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it. They’re beautiful and comfortable, and I would recommend them. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

We purchased our power recliner loveseat sofa two months ago and the seat started to sag, so much the power foot rest got caught on the rug and you could feel the springs in the seat. After contacting customer service the tech raised the front of the loveseat, but the foot continued to get caught on the rug (purchased @ La-Z-Boy). He offered to add a 1/2" thick pad to the seat which would void our warranty on the cushion if the seam should rip and would probably not fix the problem. The top of the sofa sags also because our 10 pound dog sits up on top of it.
The warranty for exchange/return was only 4 days. They should tell you that the warranty would not cover compression from an average weight adult. I cannot see it lasting for more than a year for almost $3K! Dave in customer service was extremely rude and unprofessional even after "35 years experience." The billing was very confusing even to the store! Jesse the salesman and Jill the interior designer were very nice and professional. The chair and a half and ottomans we also purchased are wonderful, however we will not return to La-Z-Boy for future furniture.

My boss, who's my fiance, liked new furniture so I purchased recliner sofa, loveseat and ornament accessories from La-Z-Boy. The rep was polite. My interactions with her were excellent and very smooth. I haven't received the sofa yet and I'm waiting for it to be billed. In general, everyone was very knowledgeable and is a good place to be.

I desperately needed new furniture, so I purchased a sofa and a loveseat from La-Z-Boy. The quality of the furniture is good so far. Kylie, the rep, was very helpful, thorough, friendly and willing to explore all options. She also helped me schedule the delivery of our furniture. I also had a very good experience with the delivery team.

I bought two big men's recliners. The first one developed areas on the fabric with bald spots. Called store where purchased and they looked at it and told me it was 3 months over the one yr warranty. The second one is at a vacation home bought at the same time and the s tnt was coming off. Again no help from La-Z-Boy since over one year warranty. I took chair apart and was amazed it is made of particle board and stapled together. I glued and screwed arm back in place and inserted reinforcement.

July 31, 2015 I purchased 2 full size sofas and a standard 8x10 Tommy Bahama rug from the Timonium, Maryland store using the 36-month, zero percent finance option. After some miscommunication and several phone calls the sofas were not delivered until August 19th. The rug delivery was delayed until September 16th.
The delivery guys for the rug were friendly but eager to move on so I was rushed into accepting delivery. When I expressed concerns about the fit of the rug in my space, they indicated it would be no problem to return it. Within an hour, I was on the phone with the store asking to return the rug. I called the store at least 4 times, left messages for my salesperson who was on vacation, then left messages for the store manager and was promised he'd call back multiple times but received no call.
This went on for over 2 weeks. I finally spoke to the manager and he told me that the rug was a special order, because it wasn't stocked in the warehouse, and that they don't usually accept them as returns but that he would do me a favor and accept it back but would only give me a store credit for the value. I was never told that this would be a special order. I am now in a position of having to pay out the full purchase made in July 2015 to obtain a store credit of over $900. This makes no sense, especially since it is for a decor item and not anything I asked to be made custom for me.
To make matters worse, I never received any paperwork that I even have the store credit. I no longer want to do any business with La-Z-Boy, nothing you have meets my needs, and it is absolutely ridiculous that I am expected to pay this. The service in the Timonium store is terrible and I will make sure that none of my friends or family ever purchase anything from there.
In addition, the quality of your products are very poor. I accepted delivery of the sofas I purchased and should not have. Upon delivery I noticed there were stray fabric threads. I pointed them out to the delivery guy and he suggested I just cut them off. I decided to accept the sofas as the delivery guys were friendly and helpful but were eager to get on their way and assured me that I would have 72 hours to return if there were any issues. After more time I discovered the back cushions for the middle seat on both sofas are very ill fitting to the stuffing to the point that I flip all of the rear cushions to hide the decorative seam on the front to lessen the appearance.
I should have stuck with my gut and not gone back to La-Z-Boy after the first set of sofas. I custom ordered a set 10 years ago, had resulted in pilling fabric within the first month. I went against my gut because my family has purchased furniture from La-Z-Boy for 30+ years and thought that maybe the first experience was just a fluke. I can assure you that I nor any of my family will purchase from La-Z-Boy again. I guess I have to live with the sofas but I really do not want to pay for an item I do not even have. I am reaching out to you now as a goodwill gesture prior to pursuing additional steps to obtain an adjustment to my outstanding debt.

We had a La-Z-Boy chair for eight years and just recently, we purchased a recliner from them. We have a nice-sized SUV so we just took it with us. It's not as good as the other one I had but that was $1000. Our experience with the sales representative was pleasant and he was a marvelous, young man.

Our old furniture was about 21 years old and the padding was starting to lose its effectiveness so we decided to purchase a new one. The sales rep we had is the manager of the store and was very helpful and pleasant.

Purchased leather La-Z-Boy recliner less than 3 years ago and noticed a portion of the seat was cracking/peeling. Contacted the store and was advised this would be a claim against the fabric warranty which had been added to cost of the recliner when purchased for $70. Company denied the claim saying cracking/peeling of leather is not covered. Contacted La-Z-Boy again and their only offer is to order fabric, if available, and have it repaired... all at my expense. Not satisfied with any of this. Appears I was forced to purchase a worthless warranty and La-Z-Boy is not standing behind the quality of their craftsmanship or materials. I have owned their cloth recliners in the past and they have lasted more than 20 years so this peeling/cracking of the leather suggest to me La-Z-Boy has provided me with an inferior or faulty product and should offer to repair or replace the recliner or at the very least share the cost for repair or replacement.

We purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner November 16, 2015. The chair needs aligning and a new cushion. There is a gap between the foot rest and the arm. The cushion has white threading coming through and it's a taupe color recliner. After numerous calls to customer service, customer care and La-Z-Boy furnishings we have still not resolved the issue. We had a technician finally come out and looked at the defective chair. He ordered parts and a new cushion. We requested a new chair in which he said he would file that request and contact us. This was right before Thanksgiving. We have heard nothing until this last Friday January 8, 2016. A message was left on our phone that our parts were late in shipping and they were trying to find out why. According to them they should have shipped January 6, 2016.
After numerous calls to customer service and customer care we still have no parts and no answers. Customer service does not answer their phones and customer care does not follow up like promised even with a case number. We are frustrated. Even the salespeople where we purchased this item has not called us back. At this point we either want a new chair or a complete refund.

In years past I have always been satisfied with the La-Z-Boy leather recliners. A few years ago I purchased 2 of them at a cost of approx. $600 each. I have had nothing but problems beginning with the stuffing and ending with a stain problem. The manual that comes with the recliners never went into detail about the cleaning process. I literally washed the color away on the arms and headrest with something as mild as dish soap diluted with water. They were not even a year old when I started to have problems. So disappointed that the quality has disappeared from how they used to be made. I recently sold both of them for a not much. They should have lasted longer. My next recliner will be another brand.

I have a daughter who is disabled and she needs a chair where it could go back really far and one where the legs would go up high so I purchased recliners from La-Z-Boy. We had just bought two recliners a year ago but they didn’t go back far enough for her. They were cheap but I ended up selling one of them, so it wasn’t so bad either. Also, we didn't have any problems with the rep at the gallery and it was delivered properly.

In May 2015 we purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy. I noticed the padding in one of the arms not to be sufficient enough to fill it out. Then the padding in the lumbar area was falling down and every time I sat down I sat on the edge of it and I had to pull it up. The service man was here today and said I needed to fluff it like a pillow. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Fluffing my chair up like a pillow. I was not informed of this when I purchased it as I would never have purchased it. What a piece of junk.
I now realize the fabric is not sturdy enough to hold the padding in place and when I sit down I now sit on fabric and padding. I never received a report from the service representative. I have now turned this over to the BBB in hopes of some resolution to this problem. I paid good money for a quality product and expected to receive that. I am not trying to get something for nothing. I just want them to replace my chair.

Bought a brand new sofa which was delivered on Sept. '15, and it had a couple of minor quality issues. One was resolved quickly, but the other which involved holes in the sofa itself were never resolved for months. I finally have had it, and got La-Z-Boy corporate involved. They went ahead and finally resolved it to my satisfaction on Dec. '15. I would recommend corporate La-Z-Boy, but not my local store.

I purchased a sofa, a loveseat, and recliner from La-Z-Boy in November. I bought it from the store manager who was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was able to point out the ones that would fit our shorter legs because we’re only 5’6”. We bought a particular model which fits us and we find it very comfortable. Our whole family that had visited all love it. I’m really happy with the comfort and quality of the pieces. However, the appearance of the back of the recliner chair could be redesigned. It’s all open while the back upholstery of the couches and the loveseat cover the base. They have little flaps that cover the mechanisms when usually they are against the wall and we wouldn’t see it anyway. However, the recliner chair is in the doorway so one can see the whole mechanism. I was unhappy with the design and let them know but they said that’s just the way it’s made.
The store employees were really nice but I was dissatisfied with the delivery people. Although they were quite frank, I was displeased with one of the gentleman's attitude. He played me for our money. We had moved everything but one couch which we could not get around the corner into a spare room temporarily. I mentioned it to the store manager and she said I could ask help from the delivery team. She said they’ll do it for nothing but it’d be nice if I tip them.
When the guy came, I said, “Would you move that? I will pay you to move that piece of furniture because it’s too heavy for my wife and I.” He asked for 25 bucks when I was ready to give him 20. I was ticked off but we got what we needed. Also, when they left, there were pieces of plastic that had been wrapped around the furniture still floating around my lawn and I had to clean up after them, too.
The store lighting could also be improved because it’s awful and terrible. One can’t get a real picture of what the furniture is going to look like in their home because the store lightning is not natural. When we got the furniture into our home with natural daylight, what we bought doesn’t look like anything we perceived it. We have no idea what the color of the product is. It’s more of a taupe leather and we always got a lighter color than any.
I had spent time painting the living room with the color scheme that I thought would work and had picked a darker modern gray color that I thought was warm and would look nice with the leather but it made the leather looked greenish. I had to repaint the room to match the paint in a cream color that isn’t really light but I wanted the leather to stand out. Now I’m going to put in a dark hardwood floor which should make the leather look a little lighter again. Nonetheless, we’re certainly happy with the furniture. We could easily return it but the whole set on sale was over $7,000 and it would cost us 30% to return it. We would lose 30% of the value in picking another color.

8/30/2014 Purchased two La-Z-Boy sofa's. Paid for 5-year Fabric protection and within the 30 day period paid for extended warranty. Sofa's are less than 2 years old and fabric is pilling/beading, losing so much nap that one can see through to white lining. 11/19/2015 Sandra **, with Ledco/La-Z-Boy Warranty, in Dallas sends a rep. named Patrick. He said I'll have to pick the pills off or shave it. I told him, "I was not going to pick or shave a sofa." He then took pictures of the pilling. I asked for documentation. He said there was none to give me. But someone would be calling. No one called.
1/5/2016 I called and left message for Sandra **. 1/8/16 Sandra called back, left message that pilling was normal, and it doesn't fall under manufacturer's warranty and to buy a fabric shaver. 1/11/16 I called Matt ** Manager with La-Z-Boy Austin. He stated that being in the furniture business for 5-6 years he can say that pilling is perfectly normal on printed fabric. The fabric is not a print. We've purchased La-Z-Boy furniture for over 30 years. Never has any of that furniture pilled/beaded and lost nap.
Photos included are from the new solid print sofa's and from La-Z-Boy recliners 8-10 years old. Recliners have never beaded/pilled and lost nap. I need La-Z-Boy to honor their manufacturing and products. As well as, what we paid extra for: 2-5 year fabric coverage and an Extended Warranty. I need my sofa's re-upholstered with a quality fabric that will not pill/bead and loss nap.

A sofa loveseat was our first purchase from La-Z-Boy and we've had it since the end of December. We love the quality of the product and the cost was fair. In addition, their guys at the gallery were very nice to work with and the delivery was fine. They came when they were supposed to and there were no issues.

I bought a sectional chair, an ottoman and several other furniture pieces from La-Z-Boy, and it was a fine experience. Their personnel are very good. However, I didn't understand why their financing partner, Synchrony, checked my credit four or five times. And Mark was supposed to be looking into that for me to see why they would do that, but I've not ever heard any response.

I have a La-Z-Boy recliner with heat and vibration. I wish it were a little wider. (I am not a big man.) I do wish La-Z-Boy made other recliners, such as was in your showroom in leather that was also a recliner/rocker with heat and vibration. It was just the chair I was looking for. But I suffer with lower back pain, after several low back surgeries. I even said to one sales people that I would have bought that chair the minute I sat down. Thank you.

We ordered a Conner recliner on 9/04. It was delivered about 5 wks later, and after 2 wks, the power was not working. During that time I noticed some poor workmanship including many wrinkles in fabric, lack of padding, stains on fabric. Then there was 2 unsuccessful trips from the service dept., including ordering the wrong part. After contacting the customer care dept., pictures of chair imperfections and various calls, we were told a new chair was ordered to replace our chair. Then after 5 wks of waiting (it is now Jan. 7), I called the store to find out that the chair had not be reordered until 2 days prior to my call. There were excuses like "too busy because of the holiday season", "a lot of paperwork before processing my order".
Finally the next day when we confronted the manager, he told us he somehow forgot to order the replacement chair. We requested our money back and will get it credited to our account after they pick up the nonworking, poorly made recliner. I am very disappointed how poorly treated we were after waiting more than 4 months, and never apologized to for all the aggravation and runaround. Never again for La-Z-Boy runaround!

We moved into a new home and needed new furniture. We walked in a La-Z-Boy store, they were having a special on custom design ideas, they walked us through it and made everything really easy. We purchased a sectional, recliner, and accessories and the quality of the products is great. When the delivery team came in, they set it up and asked us if we liked where it was at and if we needed to move anything. However, the delay in delivery of the recliner is annoying but it's a custom leather good so I understand that.

I was going to buy a chair, and was just waiting for the right sale. The girl that I talked to at La-Z-Boy knew what I was looking for, and when the chair went on sale, she hand-mailed me the advertisement, which I thought was really nice. So I went back to La-Z-Boy and bought the chair. The delivery guys were really good. They brought the chair right in and put it together. They showed it to me and how it worked, then they left. It was a great experience overall.

I purchase a living room set and it is going on two years now and the problem when I purchase the set from the floor samples, I was pleased with the one I look at and went ahead and purchase it. I was told that they would order it and it will be in about six week. When I received it I notice I could feel the wooden frame in the arms of the chair, couch and love seat. The whole set lacks the padding needed to compare with the one on the floor. I found that I got a very poor set even though I paid a very good price for it.

Everyone was very courteous and helpful. I liked the designer coming to my home and not being charged for that service on top of everything else. I also liked having them help me pick out different fabric, and making the board and putting it all together. That was really cool. It was a great experience, and I would recommend La-Z-Boy.

Years ago, we had a La-Z-Boy chair and La-Z-Boy really got into the whole thing. We wanted one chair recently but ended purchasing a sofa, a lift chair and chairs ottoman and accessories. We couldn't see what have happened but we're very pleased with it. We had interactions with the two girls who were in-charge of selling the furniture and the designing of it and they were very, very nice. One of them moved something off so it's the one that was left. I can't remember her name but she was very helpful. The quality of the items is excellent and I was very pleased with them. The delivery team were very good except that they just put the stuff down and left. They didn't put it anywhere except in a corner or where we had to wait for somebody to come and move them like when the girl came the second time. They came out three times and in the third time, my son was there and he helped her with the furniture.

I got a dining table and sofa from La-Z-boy for my vacation home. I just went over there for two days and love the quality of the furniture so far. And, I had a good experience with La-Z-Boy, especially with the nice salesperson. But one of the chairs, which I thought is a strong wood, got broken while they wanted to deliver it so I have to go and pick it up.

I ordered a pair of Platinum Luxury Lift Power-Recliners from the La-Z-Boy gallery on 4182 STATE ROUTE 31 CLAY, NY 13041, in March of 2015, they were delivered in late May 2015. During delivery while putting the chair together, a wire for the lumbar actuator was cut in half. One chair no lumbar support. The store would do nothing but have me call customer service. 2 weeks later a serviceman looks at chair and orders parts. He said customer service would call to set up repair appointment. They did not and I finally call in December 2015, the first appointment was cancelled the morning of the appointment by La-Z-Boy. Rescheduled for 1/7/16; service rips apart chair and finds out the wrong part was delivered. Now I need to wait yet another month and a half for the chair to be finally repaired. My $2000 chair is still not right and takes a year to maybe get there. This will be the first of many reviews posted.

We bought a sectional couch and a rug from La-Z-Boy. I was told it would be in a few weeks later. After NEVER receiving a call that my couch was in I called and was told "oh ya it just came in but we need a payment. That is why it has not been scheduled". I told the manager that we already paid in the store when we bought the couch (on their credit card) and if that was the problem, why didn't they call us??? It took a few days and I had to call and give the credit card info again over the phone but we finally received our couch. Unfortunately, the reclining part was broken and the delivery people had to come back and take a piece of the couch for repair. Some time later that week the salesperson called & said they were replacing the piece, so I had to schedule more time off of work and wait for delivery. Ok that was fine but I am still missing my rug.
A month and half later I call about where the rug is and the same line "oh it just came in". I never received a call. The delivery for my rug is scheduled but I need a morning or afternoon time frame so I can schedule my time off of work. I was told "No. We give you a time the night before when we call you and that is it." This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I now have 3 extra times I need to make myself available for their issues. As if I have a whole day to sit at home and wait for delivery. If it was all delivered at once fine, but the fact that I have to revolve around their schedule and them not adjusting to the customer is ridiculous!!! Especially since we spent good money on this stuff. The lack of communication and customer service is terrible and will never buy La-Z-Boy again.

I recently purchased a sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman. The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very helpful. I decided to buy from there because they were not pushy and they had what we needed. Scheduling the delivery was simple. He got me the first thing I asked for so there was no problem there. My husband was home for the delivery and didn't have a problem with the actual delivery team. We're really happy with the items.

My mom and dad have purchased recliners from La-Z-Boy before, so I decided to buy from them. Their rep was very easy to work with. Furthermore, I like the quality of the sleeper I purchased. However, it arrived with a broken bracing board in the back, and we had a representative come out and look at it. He said the board was being ordered and they would send someone out to repair it. It hasn't been repaired yet as we've yet to see the board.

I purchased a living room set and recliner seat. I was told at the store that "it was all leather", and it is not! My sofa is breaking out at the seams, and is been barely used!! Also the recliner's base broke by way of the screws been stripped out of the wood with normal use! That furniture is only a year and a half old and barely used!! The wood used at the base is soft wood, not an ideal material for a high stress point, and the rest is crappy recycled wood panels. We got the extended warranty and it is a fiasco!!
Ultra Shield two months to send a "technician" to check my furniture. Very rude person, right of the bat he said that he couldn't fix the sofa because the material that was peeling off was not leather but vinyl, then proceeded to drive a couple of wood screws through the metal plate and the wood of the base and call it a day!! Ultra Shield call me two weeks later to tell me that the sofa could not be fix because it was normal wear and tear!!...??? Oh and La-Z-Boy wants to charge me for a technician to go and see their poor quality product that I'm still paying!!!
In resume I have to say that I feel cheated in spending over $4000 dollars in a product worth maybe $1200 dollars. Mind you that is not even two years old and already has all of this issues, with minimal use ( when not working we are in our bedrooms) and following the "cleaning" instructions given to us on the store!! The quality is not there anymore (not the first La-Z-Boy products we owned), the customer service is very unhelpful, the extended "warranty" through Ultra Shield is a scam, and is not mostly leather but vinyl!! To say the least I'm never doing business with La-Z-Boy again, nor will my friends and extended family!!!

I would recommend La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. We've had a furniture from them in our home for 15 years. Then, I gave it away and bought another recliner which was a piece of crap, so we decided to go back to La-Z-Boy. We recently purchased a recliner from them. My husband is the one that sits on it and he said it's very comfortable. I'm hoping it lasts as long as our last one. Though I had it worn out a little bit, our last one was fine. I just thought it was time to get a new one. The sales representatives at the gallery were very helpful. The manager told me he had the same chair that we were interested in and that he sleeps on it. They were very nice people; I would go back there. Also, the delivery team were very nice and polite.

I called La-Z-Boy, wanted a cord for my recliner I had gotten from a friend. Her dog had chewed it up. I NEVER went through so many problems getting a part. After I went through 15 minutes of questions I was told that parts had to call me back in 24 to 48 hours. I guess with this kind of customer service they don't want me to ever buy an La-Z-Boy product. This is ridiculous!

The reps at the gallery were nice. I purchased a recliner for my father, and he seems to be happy with it. They delivered it to the nursing home and did the set-up there. This recliner is one of the numerous La-Z-Boy purchases I've done for the past 20 years, and I never had a problem with them.

I am extremely displeased with the amount of time it is taking to receive my order for a new rug and pillows. I spent $3,894.78 which is a considerable amount of money for several items. I received the sofa, but not the rug or pillows. It has been 8 weeks and I have called the store several times in the last 3 weeks and was told the items were shipped, but they have no information as to when I will receive the rug! Up until today, I have been more than patient but the poor customer service I received today from Misty (new interior designer) and Chris ** (manager) is a very poor reflection on your company's brand and the way you do business. First of all, to be told that due to 2 weeks of holidays, no one in corporate has responded to their emails is ridiculous! What kind of company are you that individual stores have no way to trace inventory/shipments? Don't you own computers and software?
Additionally, I resent it when the manager tries to fob me off by saying, "When I hear, you'll hear." and then when I express my outrage at his choice of words and lack of customer service and tell him that I will be reporting this conversation to corporate, I am told to "go for it." Your company needs to do a better job of training your reps and managers. At this point I will never buy another product from your company or refer friends and family. To be honest, I don't think I would have been this angry if I was spoken to like an intelligent human being and my feelings were acknowledged and justified. Instead, I was given a scripted answer that was repeated to me ad nauseam! I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE FROM CORPORATE HQ AS TO MY DELIVERY DATE. Also, you can refund any delivery charges I paid as a GOODWILL GESTURE!

La-Z-Boy has been very good. The salesperson and the design person were instrumental in the sale because I have a small floor plan. They were able to show me different room arrangements using the graphic material and software that they have to help me plan how to make the seating area work in my space. Both very talented and it came out beautiful. But without that feature, I might've walked out of the store because I just couldn't envision how this furniture was going to work in my room and they had the skills to do that.

I had my recliner less than a year it fell apart. Now they tell me 4-6 weeks just for a part. Are they out of their minds? Don't they believe in UPS or FedEx? The material is fraying the metal on bottom is cutting into my rug and turning it black. The main bar on bottom is broke. The back of chair all sunk in. I had to pay someone to add material. I can go on and on. La-Z-Boy went down the tube. It is junk and I mean junk--- called the number 855-307-2236 said sorry there is nothing they can do. Fine I will just bad mouth La-Z-Boy all over the computer. They just don't care, get your money and the hell with you.

I've had a La-Z-Boy for 30 years and I decided to get a new one because they had a great sale going on. The recliner I got is very nice and I like it. Their sales girl, Janine, was very helpful too. I walked out from there, left my paperwork and she put it in the mail. That was a real good experience. They also gave me a delivery window and they were here when they said they'd be.

We purchased a Renew "leather" love seat 4 years ago from La-Z-Boy. We were skeptical about the Renew "leather" because we had never heard of it. The sales person convinced us this was a great product and that it was as durable as leather. She also advised us to purchase the 5 year fabric warranty just in case anything did happen to the fabric it would be covered. Because we thought that La-Z-Boy was a respectable business and product, we followed her advice. Today, we went back to the store because we noticed that the fabric was wearing through and breaking down. When we asked about the fabric warranty coverage, the store manager was dismissive and non responsive.
Ultimately, he insinuated that we were lying about what we were told by the sales person and that the company who covered the fabric warranty were out of business. Not the response I expected for an $1000 love seat! In the end, we purchased a substandard product after being misled from a company who will not back their products and truly does not care about their customer. Our only recourse, we will never shop at La-Z-Boy again and we will make sure others are well informed before they make the same mistake!

We purchased 2 Two Recliners at $1200.00 each from Villa Furniture in Vulcan. When they came 8 weeks later one did not work. They came out, tried to fix but still did not work. So the store ordered a new one. Another 6 week before the new one came. It didn't work either & by now the other one was already breaking down. A La-Z-Boy rep came out from Calgary took pictures & said Vulcan would be phoning us to see what was going to be done. We waited & waited & heard nothing from the store.
I phoned Dec 31 & asked to talk to manager & was told he was in back & would phone me back. No call. I called store back & lady said he would call. Still no call back until SUNDAY morning. Easily AM. I was woken with a call from Gary to tell me they were done with me & to stop calling store & hung up on me. We have dealt with this store for over 40 years. Gary's father had Cancer & our daughter treated him. Very nice man. Gave my daughter flowers & would never have treated a customer this way. As far as we are concerned buying at this store would be a mistake. We thought the store & La-z-Boy are handling this. Wrong. These chairs we find out now are made in Mexico & very BAD WORKMANSHIP!

We had a new house with empty rooms so we got a sectional from La-Z-Boy. We went in the La-Z-Boy gallery because the room we had was bigger than we thought, and we ordered another piece of the sectional. The item is very good, but I just got it and if it wears out fast then it's going to be disappointing. Anyway, I've been meaning to call customer service because there is a little spot on the item. We went back to the store but they said we had to call customer service.

My wife and I bought motorized recliners at our local store. The sales associates were very friendly and helpful and answered our questions easily. There was no "hard sell." And no haggling, either. Delivery was fast and the drivers were professional and courteous. After using the chairs for a few weeks, I find them very comfortable, well made, and durable. They will probably outlast me. I'll gladly do business again with La-Z-Boy.

Our couch fell apart and La-Z-Boy was recommended to us by an aunt who's had it for about 20 years. Every time we went to the gallery, the sales reps were really nice. They weren't pushy and just let us decide, and we ended up coming back three months later. During delivery, the La-Z-Boy team called me in advance to let me know they were coming in, about 20 minutes out, and they came and delivered it. They even put the furniture pads on there for us. They were great and it was awesome.
So far, the La-Z-Boy is extremely comfortable and very good, but we're waiting for service. We've had issues with the reclining thing, one of which is supposed to get fixed this Thursday. I'm concerned about that a bit. We just got them and we already have an issue, but I'm sure they'll fix it. They've answered the calls right away and customer service has been fantastic. If the product lasts as long as a La-Z-Boy is supposed to last, then I'm good with the price. I would completely recommend them.

We purchased $3,400 worth of sofa from La-Z-Boy. We love it and our cat does, too. We bought from them because they’re made in America. My family room has a good size but a lot of new sofas are a hundred inches (oversize). I wasn’t quite sure which would work in the way my family room is configured. La-Z Boy had an ad that somebody could come to your house and measure it. When it was measured there were only two models that were recliners that would work for my family room. The other model didn't get a good review so I went with the Easton purchase.
The delivery team did very good in placing it so that you could open all four recliners fully without them touching each other and made sure they all fully recline. However, when I was trying to see if there are any defects, I felt rushed. The delivery people seemed like they wanted to leave. They said in the store that if something’s wrong you have to catch it when they deliver it. My other complaint is that there were no delivery on a Sunday to my area in December which we didn't understand because we're within 20 miles of the store, maybe less. I wanted it on a Sunday because my husband’s really good at spotting if there’s something wrong.
Another thing I'm disappointed with is when you're spending $3,400 and they don’t even give you pillows. I spend about 2,500 on my other furniture but I always got arm covers and other pillows. My son went to Big Lots and bought Simmons couch and got really nice pillows with it. My personal comment is that La-Z Boy should include pillows with the purchase. Also, I was a little upset because I thought that I paid a little too much for it because of the power mechanism. We had it soil shielded and we had to pay for delivery, too. It should probably be a free delivery in my book when you’re spending that much money. But I would still recommend La-Z Boy. We're enjoying it and it's very comfortable. The question is how well will it hold up over time.

I had a new house so I bought two sofas, a recliner, an ottoman and another chair for the dining room from LA-Z-Boy. Kelly, the designer at store 203 was awesome. She helped with the whole nine yards, from the fabric, to the room lay out and up to delivery. The delivery was wonderful. Everybody was patient and nice. It also came in earlier than expected. The style and the quality from what I can tell in the short time I've had it, it's certainly comparable to the Pottery Barn, the Crate & Barrel and the Bassett, but lower in price. But again, not as low as the lowest.

I don't recommend buying anything from La-Z-Boy furniture. They do not stand behind their products. I ordered over $4000 dollars in furniture and the recliner came damaged. Almost 3 months later the chair is still not fixed and still getting a runaround. Don't buy La-Z-Boy!!! Buy something else.

Upon arrival to store was told there was only five more in stock. When paying for my item I was told an additional $40 charge for the item to come from a different location as in stock does not mean it to be at the store location! Tried calling for over three hours to get some kind of answer with absolutely no answer. I have never in all my years had I heard of such nonsense... If this is indeed La-Z-Boy's policy I will cancel my order and will NEVER do business with La-Z-Boy again!

Eileen was very knowledgeable and helpful when I was looking for new furniture. She showed me variety of options to choose from. The store was willing to work with me after I received the furniture and thought my chair might not work out. The few extra days I was given to decide if the chair would work out removed the stress of making a decision. The new furniture is working out great!

I moved into a new house and recently made my first purchase with La-Z-Boy - a sofa and power recliner. Their sales reps were very nice and I was happy with them. However, their delivery was late and I had to call them. One of the guys didn't show up, so they got backed up and were really behind. It's not the delivery man's fault so I understand, but they ended up bringing the item even later. That aside, our purchase looks good and I'm happy with it. I paid a lot for it but I figure it's worth it. I hope it lasts a long time.

12/28/15 Poor quality, 3 repairs in less than 6 months and no final resolution. My La-Z-Boy reclining sofa was delivered mid July 2015. The first problem started in the first week when I noticed a plastic cording piece sticking through the side of the right seat cushion and poking into the seat next to it. A hole was already starting to form. A repairman came and looked at it and ordered a new right seat. The part came in and he returned for the repair (in October). During the repair he noticed the center seat stationary footboard was cracked and pushed in. Not noticeable from the front. It must have been that way when delivered. Not surprised as most of the $2,000 dual motorized reclining sofa is made of particle board. Very cheaply manufactured and not the quality I expected from La-Z-Boy. Very disappointed.
I also noticed that after 2 months, the left seat had an area of fabric that was all puckered and stretched out. That seat was also ordered when the footboard was ordered. 6 weeks later (end of November) the repairman returned. Rather than replace just the footboard in the center, they sent an entire new seat now with a plywood footboard. The left seat with the puckered stretched fabric was also completely replaced. The repairman noted that they upgraded the foam in the two seats to a higher density memory type foam. I wasn't expecting that but now I have a sofa less than 6 months old with 2 seats that feel and look quite different and look more full than the original right seat. I'm very frustrated. After spending $2,000 on a quality sofa, I have one with seats that look and feel different.
I called customer care and was told that the foam was the same even though you can see and feel the difference. Two have the white denser foam and one has yellow lower density foam. The repairman even said it looks like they upgraded you to the better foam. I called customer care to speak to them about my mismatched sofa. I was told the foam is the same and there is nothing they will do. So I'm stuck with a sofa less than 6 months old with a different feel and look in the seats. All I wanted them to do is replace the right seat with the same foam as the other 2 and they would not do it. I'm extremely frustrated. What a way to impress a customer La-Z-Boy. I won't be recommending La-Z-Boy to anyone and will be letting others know my experience. Buyer beware.

We purchased a Reese sectional and immediately noticed problems. A technician visited our home on 10/27/15 and agreed. As of today, we have not been contacted by Customer Care regarding that visit, although in early November, we asked for a supervisor to contact us, also with no response. We then sent letters to the chairman and several other high ranking La-Z-Boy employees on 11/30/15. To date there has also been no response. We just want La-Z-Boy to take care of this defective furniture. Please help.

We got a new recliner and loveseat. They were everything we hoped for. They fit our home perfectly and are so comfy. We had bought a queen leather sleeper sofa about 5 yrs ago and were very satisfied so we came back to La-Z-Boy when we wanted more.

Paid $500 for a cocktail table 3 years ago. Love the table however the wheels on the legs (very attractive wagon wheels and the main reason I bought the table) are offset, therefore the weight is not distributed evenly over the wheels, clearly a design flaw. I called La-Z-Boy to see what they would do to make this right. After a 17 minute wait, they stated it was past the 1-year warranty date, but could send a repair technician out for $109.00 plus tax and any replacement parts would be extra.
Ok, I get it, it's past the warranty and I'm going to have to just eat it. However, when I asked how long the repair was guaranteed for, they stated 30 days. So, I am supposed to pay a couple of hundred dollars for a repair that is guaranteed for 30 days when it is clearly a design flaw and would break again? I buy La-Z-Boy because I thought they had good workmanship and stood behind their products, clearly I am mistaken. I will never buy another La-Z-Boy product and will be sure to spread the word.

We found it extremely frustrating that it took so long to get our tables. When they did arrive, the coffee table was too big so we had to return it. I just didn't enjoy the whole experience with La-Z-Boy this time. We have shopped with you a few times before, but this time the staff all seemed so not concerned about us, so we will think twice before shopping with you again.

I had a La-Z-Boy furniture and then my son bought us new ones. My husband has one to help him get up and down. He's got dementia and needs it. We then purchased a heat and massage recliner from them as it was on sale. The representative at the gallery was very nice. The only thing is that the one that I had could put the level down and answer the phone. This one, I had to set it and wait until it goes down. Also, the cost is a little bit high but it's comfortable and I love it.

This was my first experience buying anything at La-Z-Boy. I was met at the Abington location by Charlotte who discussed with me what I was looking for. She was very helpful and when I told her my price range, steered me to pieces that were not above what I wanted to spend. She spend a good amount of time with me but also balanced my need to look on my own. She provided me with a paper with the different pieces I was considering along with prices. This was super helpful to me. She was not pushy or overbearing but showed excellent customer service to me.
I came back to purchase the chair the next day and she was equally helpful in finalizing the purchase. I told her that her customer service was so good if she ever needed a job to come work at the bank where I worked in Human Resources. She is an great employee that you should hold onto. The delivery scheduling was a bit difficult but only because you didn't deliver on the day I needed and the chair was a surprise. When it did come, the 2 deliverymen were efficient and helpful. At first we bought a furniture from La-Z-Boy. We didn’t like it, it didn't do good. The furniture we got from Ashley was good for 10 years but now it's time to replace it, so we decided we like La-Z-Boy again, gave one more chance and bought it. The representative at their gallery was very good, professional and helpful. Though he didn't explain that it's going to be two pieces; you can lock and unlock it, take back side and put the back on it. We got that liberty with our price, so we'll see how its back is so solid. When rocked a little bit I'm scared it won't last with what it's doing but we have an extended warranty. The leather one we had for 10 years was nice, no crack, no peel. The new one looks good so far though it’s a different way to build it. We'll see how the quality goes in a couple of years. Overall, we're happy with it.

We had two La-Z-Boy recliners which lasted 18 years and maybe more since we gave them away to two, very happy college kids. We moved and wanted all-new furniture, so we ordered two more recliners, plus a host of other living room / family room items. Our salesperson at the Henderson store, Carrie, was amazing. She wasn't pushy at all and just helped us decide what would work with our space. La-Z-Boy furniture isn't cheap, but we know it lasts a long time. We are waiting for our items to arrive since we custom-ordered the fabric. Looking forward to many years enjoying our quality items.

My husband & I decided to go shopping for my Christmas present. We arrived at La-Z-Boy store excited to try out the recliners. I narrowed my selection but after over 1 hour in the store, not once did customer service acknowledge our presence. I turned to my husband and said, "Let's leave, they don't deserve our business." We went to Macy Home store & checked out their recliners. We were greeted immediately & received the attention we needed. Another woman was checking recliners. Oddly enough, she was another customer from La-Z-Boy. We recognized each other. I asked her if she received any assistance from La-Z-Boy customer service & she said "Absolutely Not, not even a greeting. I was a serious buyer, but got no help at all." Other customers walked into the store after us and received the attention. I am a dissatisfied customer. I will never buy or visit the La-Z-Boy store in Lynnwood, WA again.

I recently purchased 2 LA-Z-Boy Recliners. The salesman, Robert **, at the store in Chesapeake was extremely helpful, knowledgeable of what I wanted, and very friendly. He helped me pick the right chairs for me and showed me the various colors so I could make an informed decision. The chairs were delivered in approximately 4 weeks because they were not in stock. The delivery went smoothly and the deliverymen were very helpful in setting up my new chairs. They came earlier in the day than I expected which then allowed me to complete other tasks. Overall, my experience with the LA-Z-Boy Gallery in Chesapeake, VA was outstanding. I would (and will) purchase from them again.

We placed an order on 11/28 for a sofa on showroom floor and custom order for two chairs. We had a low price guarantee and I received a flyer two days after sale for a lower price. I then spent a week playing phone tag to get a price adjustment. I finally went into the store and found our sofa still on showroom floor despite being told it would be taken off floor the day after sale. Our chairs arrived this week and nobody called us. My wife called to check on status. She was asked three days for delivery and we requested three days next week only to be told the schedule was full. So we custom order chairs, you know when they are going to be ready for delivery, CHARGE us for delivery, then not make it convenient. Not good.

I love the sales rep at La-Z-Boy. She was a young girl and was awesome. I bought a six-piece sectional and then after having it for a couple of weeks, we realized we wanted to trade one of the non-reclining sections for the same position but reclining. I paid the difference. They came and took the other one and gave me the new one. They made it seamless and they were awesome. It was a great experience.

I had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 40 years and recently, I purchased a sofa and recliners from them. We've had the La-Z-Boy recliners before and we were replacing an older set of sofas in the family room and decided to go with them. Their sales representatives were very helpful, they showed us all the different options that we were interested in. They provided us with brochures and help us make the decision. They notified us when it was going to be shipped and it was shipped ahead of what we anticipated. We also really like the fact that La-Z-Boy is made in the United States. The quality is really good and comfortable. We've been very satisfied with the La-Z-Boy store, their service and the furniture.

My husband and I would like to suggest allowing your customers to be able to pick up their purchase at the store they purchased it from than making it necessary to have a delivery with the charges. I purchased two La-Z-Boy Harbor Town Recline-Glider Swivel Recliners from the Christiana Delaware store. The chairs were $919 per chair. Immediately upon delivery I noticed one of the recliners were very soft and lacked support. It was as if you were sitting on the floor. La-Z-Boy did replace the cushions. Both chairs then began making noises while gliding. After two service visits to my home they still squeak. I now need new bearings for each chair. I called the company and told them I want both chairs returned. I was told "after three days in your home the chairs are yours." I was not told this upfront and perhaps it was in the fine print I did not read. The salesperson in the store also informed me the chairs would recline in stages to different levels. My chairs only recline to one level. When I mentioned that problem to La-Z-Boy I was informed the Christiana Delaware Store would contact me. I never received a phone call from that store.
The bottom line is that I paid over $1800 for two recliners and I am going on the fifth home visit service call to fix these chairs in just over three months of receiving the chairs. La-Z-Boy is literally rebuilding these chairs in my home. I feel Customer Service is not willing to fully satisfy my needs. Why should I continue with repeated service calls for chairs that obviously lack the quality I paid for? Beware when purchasing from La-Z-Boy. Be aware of their three day return policy. I would not recommend this company or these chairs.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture at home for about two years. I purchased tables and coffee tables before and recently got a sectional and some accessories. We had a good experience with sales and we had no problem. Scheduling the delivery with the representative was excellent, too. The delivery was very good and they were very, very helpful when they delivered. They worked really hard to get the rag underneath the couches even if they took a long time to help me do that. The quality of the furniture is good and in relation to its price, I think it’s even. It’s new right now so I don’t know how well it’ll hold up.

It broke the 1st month we had it, and when I tried to get them to come out and fix it, the ordeal became a nightmare. I had to threaten calling a lawyer in the matter to fulfill their obligation. The first repair took literally months to get them to come out. They picked it up, and then seemed to "forget" they had it in their possession. Two other times since the same repair has had to take place. One of the technicians told me my chair was not the first he saw with problems. When I brought that up to the repair manager, he denied that was the case at all and that the service technician "must be mistaken."
As it is now, the cushion is worn, the material is not holding up, and it has spent more time sitting in my living room unused and broken than in use. This last time the repair manager told me in October that it had been a year since I purchased it, so I would have to pay labor. I told him that was ridiculous since the only reason my time expired is that it was a piece of junk, and they drag people along to make that time run out. I told him I wanted the electric replaced with a manual since that would probably work better. He said he would have to check it out with the store manager, and that he would call me back the very next day. The call never came. I called and called and he was either not there, not answering, unavailable, etc... you get the idea. They also do not bother returning messages left on their machine.
Today is December 21st, and I talked to the store manager named Brian. Seems he never was asked anything as he knew nothing about my case or difficulties (as he can recall). He said he would email the repair manager and "someone" would call me back the next day. He was a bit snippy when I questioned whether or not he would really call me back the next day when he told me that, or would they follow the game plan they have used to date that says keep pushing the customer off or dragging them along with false promises. He actually had the audacity to get mad at my lack of confidence. Too bad he has such a short memory because he was the manager in charge that said he would "handle" everything the last time it got fixed.
Makes me wonder how many repair issues they have on a day to day basis. Looks like I will have to call the family attorney anyway to get this resolved one way or another. All I can say is La-Z-Boy is not the company it once was so many years ago. Their name is worthless now, so save yourself the trouble and run before you pay for furniture that will be useless in no time at all.

Disgusted with La-Z-Boy recliners. They used to be the absolute best and last for years! Now they are made with subquality parts that fall apart! We bought 2 recliners on Valentine's Day 2014. Had to have them serviced once plus restuffed and recovered within one year. And now less than 2 years later, they are HORRIBLE! The cheap bolt head snapped off when we tried to barely tighten them to stop the squeaking and the padding breaks down so fast (even after having them restuffed!). So much for a SUCKY one year warranty which is all the help we get from Customer Service. Basically "sorry, outta luck!" They are now disposable furniture!!! We spent more money hoping to get a better quality but will NOT ever be buying from you again and won't stop telling others to not buy them either! We have already stopped over a dozen people who were considering coming here but won't now!

We needed some chairs and gave La-Z-boy a try after seeing its advertisement on TV. We found some chairs we really liked and decided to purchase them. The team members at the La-Z-Boy gallery were very helpful and relaxed. They were very good about showing us what they have and let us look around, which we liked. They gave us time to check out different things. And then, when we decided that that's what we wanted, they were very pleasant and efficient. When our kids would come over, they are all surprised that it's La-Z-Boy and they really like them. We love it. The quality is excellent in relation to the price. We were pleasantly surprised at the price of the chairs, given what they look like and that they're very well made.

I have had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for eight years and recently I purchased a chair from them. Their sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was polite. Also, I had no complaints with the scheduling of my delivery. I did it in the store by a computer and they delivered it on time. The chair's quality seems to be fine but I thought it was a little bit expensive.

I've had La-Z-Boy furniture for 20 years and decided it was time to replace them because everything else was worn out. The sales representative from the La-Z-Boy gallery was informative. However, my payment got refunded back because it turns out that I put in the wrong account number so we'll see if the payment goes through regular web banking. But outside of that, the furniture is fine and the quality seems good. The delivery was quicker than I thought, but I didn't like the way they packaged up the maintenance contract. I got a couple of boxes for 40 bucks a piece for the leather and another for cloth which I wouldn't have purchased. Everything gets rolled into one bill and you’ve got to pay more attention when it’s itemized down before you sign the paper.

I purchased a sleeper sofa from La-Z-Boy. I can sit on this couch and my feet touch the floor and I have people with orthopedic problems that can sit in that couch and they don't need to be pulled out of it. It gives me extra sleeping space because I have a small flat and need it for company. The quality is very good and I got a decent price for it -- it was on sale. Everybody at the gallery was very helpful. I had to change one purchase and I did so without any problems.

I still have not received the rug that I purchased from La-Z-Boy. They said it's coming in December but they don't know when in December. I'm not happy because they should at least know when I'm gonna get the rug. But other than that I like the sofas and accessories we bought from them. Their rep Carol-Ann was very helpful and nice. She came up with a really good idea of how to accessorize these big pots and it looks really great. I also like that they have the VIP days and give little special gift which I think is nice.

I have tried the merry-go-round to get in touch with your head office regarding repair under 15 year warranty and continually get thrown back to the 'State requirement" field. This is the UK I am writing from! I bought two sofas and one Ottoman from La-Z-Boy recently. The old furniture was worn out, broken and needed upgrading. A lady helped me do the price point and understand what the options were, what was in stock for the style and wrote everything up for me because I didn't have all of the decision makers with me at that time. When I got back, I was able to show that to the representatives on duty and they helped us out and finished it off. Delivery was straightforward as the furniture was in stock. He puts us on the schedule, asked when we wanted it and got it delivered the very next Saturday after the purchase was made. It seems like a high-quality product and a very good price point for the quality.

Our other La-Z-Boy was old and we wanted an upgrade so we purchased a sofa, recliner and a chair from them. They had a great sale on. The representative let us shop around and we told him what we were looking for and he showed us different ones. We tested them out and decided on the set that we wanted. Ee had scheduled the delivery for 30 days but were re-modeling the house so we called and had it rescheduled. They delivered them on the date that they said they would. We love the quality of the items and it was well-worth the cost.

I bought my first La-Z-Boy furniture 15 years ago. I recently bought a sofa because we had a different brand and it pretty much fell apart, so we went back to La-Z-Boy. The first time we went in, we had a bad experience. The saleslady was helping us and then she started helping another customer and forgot about us. We went back months later and we got a different sales rep, and she was great. She was very helpful and she set it all up. The delivery people were also great. They were very quick and polite. They were in and out and they set it up for us nicely. We have the automatic sofa, and they explained it all to us so it went really well. We love our new sofa, and everyone who's come over has loved it, too. It's very comfortable. We got it on sale and it was a great price for what we got.

Since 2014 we have been trying to get our chairs fixed. They squeak when rocking. Finally I thought they were fixed only to have one of the bolts break several times. We had extra done. We were able to replace the one that broke. Now both chairs are squeaking again and it's going to cost another $115 for a service call.

The material on the footrest of the recliner came loose cutting the foot in several places by staples. The staples used to construct the chair were not of the proper size to hold the material in position. Staples are very small, approximate size of those used in a desktop stapler. Although there were many staples, they were just too small for the construction of furniture, especially in an area that has a lot of stress. Fortunately, I was able to repair loose material with the use of an air stapler and the appropriate size staple. However, much consideration should be used in the design and materials needed to ensure quality and safety of the product. I have owned La-z-boy for many years and have not experience design flaws such as this.

We've had La-Z-Boy for 35 years now and when we had a new house, we decided to get new recliner from them. I like it because it's a good chair but, quality wise, it's nowhere near worth what I paid for. Also, the sales rep was short and rude with me and I was not happy with her at all. I asked her if I could see the clearance room and she showed me a room that wasn't the clearance room. When I picked up my chair, they showed me the clearance room and it was full of chairs just like the one I ordered. There was no discount I could qualify for at all and she made a big deal of telling me I missed the sale by one day and she's not exactly the kind of salesperson that I'd want to deal with.
Moreover, I asked her when it would be delivered and she told me. I said that we might not be there at that time because we were gonna go away for a while and she said "You may have to keep it here until springtime then." When I called about it, they said it had been in for a day and they hadn't bothered to call me. We were leaving the next day on our trip so we had to make a trip down there to pick it up. It wasn't a good experience and I'm not going back.

My husband and I purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy less than a year ago. While it is very attractive and looks lovely in our home it is extremely uncomfortable and the frame of the corner piece has broken. The repairman from La-Z-Boy inspected it today & determined that the frame is going to need to be repaired in the shop because of the extensive nature of the repair. My husband weighs 150 lbs & I weigh 115 lbs. We have no children. We are in our 50's. There is absolutely no explanation for the frame to break except for it being an inferior piece of furniture. This will be our last purchase from La-Z-Boy & unfortunately we will most likely scrap the current furniture rather than go through the hassle of having it repaired.

I've had my sofa and love seat for 3 years and noticed the leather near where your head would rest was splitting and peeling on the loveseat. I bought the warranty and when I called they said it was a manufacturer's defect and it isn't covered. The warranty is only for scratches and tears. Of course La-Z-Boy only covers their leather for 1 year. How convenient. I spend over $1,000 on a loveseat and after 3 years the leather starts peeling and La-Z-Boy says tough break.

A chair fit for a Queen. Love, love my chair. The fabric I choose is a good match for my couch. The chair is comfy. The delivery was on time and fast. The only problem was my personal check was submitted twice but a refund was prompt.

When I lean now on our La-Z-Boy recliner all the way back, my head is resting on a board so it's a little uncomfortable. I found out that there's not enough cushion on the head portion of the chair. I also was a little disappointed when their rep told me, after I had already decided on the chair, that there'd be a 30% deposit or down payment when she didn't mention that before so that reduced the amount that would be financed. Also, if there's something wrong with my chair and I want to return it, there would be a 30% charge for a restocking. So if the chair is damaged when they delivered, I'm stuck and there's no way out of this because I don't want to pay 30% for not having a chair. Other than that, everything else was fine.

La-Z-Boy was very receptive to my schedule. We were behind in our home improvement and then we had a major flood in here too, and they were very kind to hold our furniture until it was safe to bring it in. They provided me samples of the fabrics so I could get the right paint color and stuff. We've purchased before, which is why we went back to them. Their customer service is very good. Right now, we're very happy. Hopefully, we won't have to use the fabric protection.However the back cushions on our sofa seem to be getting wrinkles on them and I'm going to give it some time to see what happens.

Our first La-Z-Boy lasted for 20 years and we got rid of it because we already had a wear on it. There's nothing wrong with the furniture except for the covering. So we bought a new sofa and love seat. Their sales rep was very patient while we looked around and walked us through. We had a bit of a discrepancy in the amount of time it was going to take to get something. We told him we weren't in a hurry and if it couldn't be delivered that week, we expect it a week or so. But it was a month before we got the furniture. In spite of that, the delivery was good and they brought the furniture from Columbus and set it up. They were very polite and efficient. All the people I dealt with were professional and courteous. It was a good shopping experience. The cost is a little high but the quality of the furniture is great and I love it.

I've been married for forty years and have had La-Z-Boy all the time since then. I grew up with La-Z-Boy too. I recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy as we moved to a new house and needed to get new furniture. The sales representative, Stephanie, was wonderful. I also had a very good experience with the designer and the delivery people. I really like that the delivery people had these special covers that fit each section of the sectional. They were very knowledgeable about the product. The product was delivered before we moved which was very good. I'm very happy with the quality of the items I purchased, except for my recliner where the middle cushion for my back is not well done. I'm going to call it in but other than that, the quality of the items in relation to the cost is very good.

I had my first La-Z-Boy purchase 25 years ago. Then, I purchased a recliner from them because I had back surgery and I needed a recliner to be able to recuperate in. The sales representative carried the chair right to the back of my car. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous and spent as much time as we needed him. It worked out really well. The quality was very nice, very close to what it should be priced because of the quality of the leather and what it's made.

Our old furniture was shot and old. I went to multiple furniture stores over the past few months trying to find some furniture, and La-Z-Boy was great. They had it all. The sales reps were fantastic, not pushy at all and answered all my questions. I took my daughter with me so they let me browse and came back to check on us. We purchased a sofa, love seat, and sectional. There was a little bit of confusion when we were scheduling the delivery because some of the furniture was ready, but the sectional wasn't. So they called me back and we worked it out. The delivery service was fantastic. I only had a small delivery window and the guys were great and came in quickly. Everything was wrapped and they put it where I needed it. The furniture is great and I couldn't be happier. It wasn't cheap, but I feel like I didn't get ripped off. It was worth the money.

La-Z-Boy sent completely unsuitable "knock-off" grade fabric instead of what was ordered using La-Z-Boy's sample. La-Z-Boy refused to make good on getting the fabric, ordered. (I did not order custom furniture to be made by La-Z-Boy due to it's flimsy construction evident when turned upside down to check it.) Four Customer Service reps could not discern a technical adjective from a noun and refused to forward the calls to staff who should understand merchantability law requirements. They also prevented the 5 question survey to be completed. La-z-boy sales rep will do nothing to get the correct fabric, either. This is the second and different time that inferior grade fabrics have arrived through La-Z-Boy compared to their samples used during selling.

I had a La-Z-Boy furniture for about 5 years and I bought a recliner from them for my mom. The sales representative were good to talk to and didn't push me. They let me decide what I wanted and were very helpful in finding fabric if I want another fabric color instead of what they had. Everything was fantastic. The quality is good and what I like about it is it’s made in USA. I would recommend it to a friend.

I bought two sofas and one recliner from La-Z-Boy but I don't have the recliner yet. There was a little confusion on the delivery so we called the night before. Our sales person told me, "Oh, they don't call you." I said, "Let me talk to your manager." And then she did confirm they should've called. Other than that, it was fine. They came when they were supposed to. They just didn't call.

Don't bother to spend your money to buy the BEST (or thickest) leather... because when you get it, it will be mostly made of the MIDDLE thickness or the CHEAPEST or thinnest leather even though you PAID FOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE!! The reason the company reps will give you is that you purchased a certain quality of leather and that all the leathers are of the SAME quality so you are getting what you paid for. Therefore, they can upholster your chair in ANY of the leathers and they say that you will be getting the same quality. To me this is the same as paying the price for beef tenderloin and you are given ground tenderloin. Yes, it may be the same meat but the hamburger meat is a lot cheaper. You should just pay for the hamburger in the first place. (But in the case of a recliner, you are talking about HUNDREDS of dollars! And years of wear!) I know because this happened to me.
In addition, they would not take back the recliner and refund my money even though it is not what I paid for (the most expensive leather) because there are NO REFUNDS ON SPECIAL ORDERS and they will not take it back and reupholster it in the most expensive leather. They will do NOTHING!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! PAY FOR THE CHEAPEST LEATHER! Or better yet, only buy from the showroom floor because that is the only way you will know what you are getting.

I visited La-Z-Boy on Black Friday to look at couches. During this trip, the customer service was terrible. They argued with my boyfriend about how a sectional configuration wouldn't work, when the configuration was on the back of the sectional flyer. At one point, the sales manager yelled at my boyfriend to "calm down", even though he was trying to explain to her why the configuration would work. Eventually, the sales team moved the Collins sectional around into the configuration we were proposing and admitted "that does actually work". The sales team did not apologize for their rude behavior or mistakes. Despite the first trip, I really liked the Collins sectional, but decided to do just the chaise lounge and love seat. I called and spoke to a designer, who was very helpful and quoted the product out and sent it to me via email. I then was looking at the website, and saw that I could potentially get the sofa for a bit cheaper if I changed fabrics.
So, I went into the store last night around 8 pm to buy the couch. The sales person initially approached me and asked if he could assist. I declined because I was still talking to my boyfriend about the configuration. When I was ready, I approached the salesman regarding looking at other fabrics. After an hour of being in the store, neither the salesman or the sales manager could address my questions and told me to come back another day. I asked the sales manager for the store manager's info - she had told me the manager would be in today (Friday). I received emails around 10:45 am, with screen shots showing how what I was saying incorrect and letting me know the manager actually IS NOT in today. I am very frustrated by the lack of sales knowledge and customer care. I really would like to purchase this couch, but it hasn't gone well so far. This is a high level summary of what has occurred thus far.

Three years ago, I had a La-Z-Boy recliner. Now, I was replacing my couch, old sofa, and some old chairs that I had and I decided on a loveseat and a sofa, together. My daughter said, "Let's go to La-Z-Boy because they're the most comfortable." I ended up buying two end tables and a bookcase as well. I like the quality and material of the items. They're were delivered very nicely. They were very considerate, careful and efficient. Everything was covered nicely and they removed the protection from the glass because the tables are glass-topped. I'd recommend them.

I went to my sister-in-law and she has La-Z-Boy furniture there. My couch was old and I needed new tables and wanted a recliner for myself so I took a sofa, table and recliners from La-Z-Boy. My husband first researched it online and contacted Brandon then because we needed a couch that was 21 inches tall. My husband had his hip replaced. Brandon was very helpful on the phone, online and when we went to purchase it in person. He was very gracious and wonderful. My furniture are the most beautiful things I've ever seen because I'm comfortable. I had a very good experience. If I need to replace any more furniture I will definitely go to La-Z-Boy for it.

I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for 30 years now. Recently, I purchased a sofa, chair, and accessories from them because we built a new room and needed some furniture. The sales representative at La-Z-Boy was very nice, as well as the interior decorator woman. I found them very helpful. And when I actually made a change in my purchase, decided that I had gotten too much and it wasn't gonna work in my house, I went back and they took it off my bill and didn't make me feel bad about it, which I think is nice. The delivery team came when they said they were coming. And they told me they would call me in a 3-hour window, and they did. Actually, the guy was even nice enough to let me know that he is on his way, give another 15 minutes heads up, and he'd be there in about 15 minutes.
The quality of the furniture is very nice. I feel that it's sturdy. I still have a couch that's about 30 years old that's down in my basement that some people would probably put in their main living room. And two kids jumped on it for like 20 years. I think it holds up well. It's not like I've had a really lot of furniture, but I've had other couches that haven't held up. I do have a living room where I got a couch at another spot. And I feel like it's maybe 3 years old and it's already showing signs of wear. I guess I'm just a La-Z-Boy fan. The entire experience was very good and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I needed a couch in a hurry and they had it there for me. The buying experience was pleasant because the store where I bought has a relaxed atmosphere, even though it's a smaller one. I didn't feel pressured there, and that's a nice feeling.

I purchased a Kinsley couch from La-Z-Boy in June 2014 and it was delivered in August 2014. The cushions failed to hold up to regular use within the warranty period, so I contacted the company's customer service department. A representative came out in August 2015 and agreed that the cushions needed to be replaced. The 4 replacement cushions were ordered on August 18, 2015.
Despite numerous calls to La-Z-Boy's local customer service staff (based at the store in Portland where I purchased the couch) and numerous promises that the cushions were on order, as of next week, it will be 4 months since the cushions were "supposedly" ordered. A call to the local customer service team today resulted in a promise that the cushions would be shipped by the end of December and would most likely be in the area by mid January. My calls to corporate customer service have been a complete waste of time. No one at La-Z-Boy can or will explain to me why it takes 5 months for cushions to be made and shipped.
I have lost all faith in this company and wish I never purchased this couch. I spent $1300 on a couch that has failed to even last a year. No one will take responsibility for the ridiculous delay in my couch being repaired. La-Z-Boy advertisements make note of the company making quality products that customers will enjoy. I spent over $1400 on a couch that in less than one year is falling apart and we cannot enjoy it. 5 months is an unacceptable amount of time to wait to get this resolved.

Bought a sectional from La-Z-Boy, Evans, GA. Immediately informed them of problems, with emails, pictures, and many phone calls. Store nor customer service will help, saying it was made in spec. If anyone would see the pics, they would realize this is not in spec. Horrible experience and shoddy furniture that cost $5,000+. They are not a reputable company at all.

I purchased a chair Nov 17 and paid in full by credit card that day (sales order # **). Delivery of this $2000+ power lift chair to my disabled friend scheduled delivery for Nov 21. As of Dec 9 the chair has not been delivered. I called La-Z-Boy Champaign on Dec 9 & left messages & got no reply. I then called corporate hq at La-Z-Boy. They patched me through to the Champaign store and I spoke to Teresa. She said nobody answered the door at the delivery address on Nov 21. Perhaps he could not crawl to the door fast enough. She also said the delivery was not rescheduled and they did not call my disabled friend or me to follow up because they did not have our phone numbers. Our phone numbers are clearly printed on the sales order receipt. Teresa went on to say that they did all that could be done & did not know what else to do.
I told her to call my friend again to reschedule delivery & then call me with delivery confirmation using the phone numbers on their sales receipt. Teresa said she would call me only if I spoke to her humanely & then hung up on me. No apology, no offer of refund or compensation, no sense of customer service. My friend was counting on that chair & I let him down. I asked La-Z-Boy corporate to pass along my complaint to the store owner/manager.

We're just looking around different places and the consultant said a person can come in and see the room color. So I really liked the way she coordinated it with the carpet color and everything. So that made me go back there again and buy there. Very good quality. I won't say it's cheap but it's not very expensive either.

I'm going to be picking up my recently purchased La-Z-Boy recliner and taking it down to Key Largo for my 88 year-old uncle. I was in their store about a month ago and La-Z-Boy had a sale and had the chair that my uncle liked. I wanted to take it but the manager wouldn't sell me the chair because it was under floor model, even if I told them I didn't care if that was so. So this resulted to an extra one hour and 10-minute drive to get the chair since having the chair delivered would cost $320, which is more than the cost of the chair. I don't understand why they can't sell me the chair when they can just order another chair from the warehouse, bring in the next day and make a sale? I would've saved me money. I was almost tempted just to buy another chair, and I left the store frustrated. This seems like a ploy to have it delivered and I wasn't happy with that.
But when I dealt with the woman named Corinne down in the Miami store, she handled it very well. She explained everything to me as far as the chair set up to be in their warehouse, north of their Miami store, and that's where I'll pick the chair up. She was very good. I wasn't happy with everybody else that I talked to since they didn't have the answers.

I purchased 2 power recliner xr end of sept and purchased extended warranty in your Altamonte Springs FL location. I have had some back and leg and foot pain since I have gotten it. I was told with zero gravity and lumbar support it would help my back. Well I went to the chiropractor today and he told me that the recliner is injuring my back -- I have bulging discs at l3, l4 and l5 discs in my spine and he said the recliner is aggravating my discs which in turn is radiating down to my legs and feet and I need to avoid the recliner.
I paid over 3,000 for both recliners paying on your credit card and have 9 or 10 more payments on it and it is a shame if I can't use one of the recliners. I have had a sheet protecting it the entire time so it is in perfect condition in addition to the fact that we left the tags on the chairs as well. I was wondering if we could return the one chair and perhaps get a different model where it just reclines in feet area and not the back and get a credit for the remaining amount since we got the most expensive chairs. I can get a medical note from my dr explaining my back injuries and why it is no good for my back. I tried to correspond on website but there is no topic that relates to this in your dropdown menus and after typing it up under warranty, it rejected it because it was over your small character count. I just want to know if you will be able to help me.

We recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy for our new home. We stopped in later in the evening and their sales associates were helpful and then they let us browse as well. It was a good amount of being attentive, but they were not hanging on to use like some sales associates do in other stores. And, scheduling the delivery was pretty easy. They called periodically and they had availability for the dates that we were ready for it to be delivered. We've had the sectional for only a couple of weeks, but we're happy with it. And, we had a positive experience and we will definitely consider La-Z-Boy again if we intend to get more furniture in the future.

My sofa and love seat is less than 3 years old. The bonded leather is peeling on both pieces. I called customer service and was told my warranty that I bought does not cover damage. So much for five year warranty. I really thought La-Z-Boy was good furniture and a good company. That is the reason I bought from them. I will not make this mistake again. Customer service is not customer service at all. Customer service is there to tell you the mistake you made.

The sales rep was professional, very helpful and a nice person to deal with. I have no complaints with the delivery. Their team went above and beyond their job. I purchased a sectional and two recliners from La-Z-Boy. The quality is not what I expected. There were problems with a couple of pieces and I actually had a technician out to the house to look at it. It was installed incorrectly. Nothing was level. Everything rocked. If it was $2,000 sectional or a $3,000 sectional, I would not have been nearly as critical but I paid $6,000 for it and the seams didn't even line up on the same piece. The two end sections were love seats so I had a recliner on the end and then the love seat that was connected to the recliner. So it was basically one piece, although only one-half of it reclined.
There was also scalloped stitching in it and the seams on one were almost an inch above the other one. So it didn't even go straight across. The sectional had thread hanging all over the place that had to be nipped. They never cut the thread at the end of the thread lines. It was sewn too tightly. Those pieces are going to have to be replaced. I told the technician I was in the clothing business and I used to do a lot of sewing that's why I'm probably a little more critical than most people.
The sales associates were fine though. I had no problem with any of them. The delivery guys were just delivery guys and they were not really installers. When something was a little more complicated like a 7-piece sectional, they were a little bit stumped. He told my wife that she had to call a technician to come straighten it out. They did the best they could do. But then the problem was we had to wait three weeks for a technician to come.

We were in search of new furniture for our living room and spare bedroom/office. We happened into the La-Z-Boy furniture gallery in Tampa, FL. We were pleased to see the selection and ordered a convertible sofa for our living room. We also arranged to have a complimentary visit from a decorator/designer to help us pick out the rest of our furniture. Valerie ** showed up on time and was extremely professional and helpful.
A few days later, we returned to the store to view her designs. We were very pleased and ordered several thousand dollars worth of furniture. The only thing we were unable to decide on were two "side" tables that we wanted to use for games/puzzles. Nothing in the store was right, so the clerk went on the website (while still in the store) and we chose two tables that we thought would work (Uttermost Stratford end tables, nearly $900). We ordered them right then along with the other furniture that we had decided on with Valerie.
Now the issues: First, the sales clerk said we should have the furniture delivered in about 8 weeks. It ended up closer to 10 weeks and some of it (at the time of this review) still hasn't arrived. We're not unreasonable people, so we understand that delays happen. Second, and most frustrating, is that the side tables that we had them order for us were just not right when we saw them in person. They were supposed to come assembled (according to the delivery guys) but were not. The delivery guys stated that they weren't supposed to do assembly, but did so anyway. One of them is obviously not assembled properly and we are waiting for a service person to come fix it.
However, after the delivery, we decided that we didn't really like them. It's hard to tell from a picture on a website. However, the sales clerk at La-Z-Boy tells us (now) that they are not returnable because they were "special order." She did not mention at the time we placed the order that we would not be able to return them. We certainly would not order tables costing several hundred dollars from a picture on a website if we knew we couldn't return them. We understood that there would be a restocking fee and even indicated that store credit would be fine rather than a refund, but no dice.
So here we sit with the holidays approaching and some of our furniture still not here, and stuck with two ugly tables that we don't want and can't return. I want very much to like this store. We very much like the other furniture and want to emphasize that Valerie did a great job with the design, but I can't honestly recommend this store due to the issue with unreturnable furniture.
One last thing: I just noticed at the bottom of my order, it says "no cancellations or returns on special order items." I can understand that with items that are customized (i.e. with selected fabric, etc.) but these are ordinary out-of-the-box tables with no customization. If they were "special order" the sales clerk should have emphasized that and warned us that they would not be returnable.

I like my designer from La-Z-Boy. She was superb. She looked at the fabric, style, color and texture. The only issue is that the delivery was more on La-Z-Boy's terms than my terms but the quality of the items were top-notch. I got what I paid for and everything was fine.

I've had a chair from La-Z-Boy for 20 some years. Recently, I purchased a couch from them because we moved to a new house and needed one. I'm very happy with my interactions with the salesperson, Carly. I was going to walk away because she couldn't get me the couch that I originally wanted because she said it wasn't going to fit. However, she mentioned the same couch in a sectional style. I was unsure if she had a very good choice, but I was very happy she recommended it. Scheduling the delivery went perfectly. The quality of the furniture I received is awesome. Very high quality. We always want some less money, but I'm very happy with what I purchased. I’m very satisfied.

Ordered a new sofa on April 22, 2015. We received our sofa around the middle of June 2015. Sofa worked great until the beginning of November when it would no longer recline or return to an upright position. Took over a week for a serviceman to visit and attempt to repair. Serviceman was very nice and competent! He determined that during installation of the sofa one of the wires from the power switch had apparently been caught in the reclining mechanism and all of the insulation had been rubbed off the wires until they shorted out. Could have possibly started a fire so we were fortunate that did not happen. Parts would have to be ordered to replace the damaged ones. The parts were all finally received last Friday, December 4, 2015.
Called La-Z-Boy this morning Dec. 7, 2015, to schedule repair service to install the new parts and was told the first available date was Dec. 24, 2015, which is more than 2 weeks away. It would appear that customer service is not a priority of this company. We have now had the sofa for approximately 6 months and have only been able to use it as a recliner for less than 5 months. Thought we were buying a quality piece of furniture but due to the level of service we have received we are revising our opinion and would find it very difficult to recommend this company to anyone else. Maybe a check list for the delivery and installation process could have prevented this difficulty to begin with?

The decorator from La-Z-Boy was wonderful. The sales associate was also great and kept me in touch with the designer. They won't pressure you and were upfront of how much they are going to cost. They helped me out a lot. I appreciate their cooperation and working with me on my deadline so everything worked out well. The furniture was beautiful. It is a little pricey but the quality is so good that I was willing to pay a little extra. I get tons of compliments for it and I'm very happy. I've recommended them and my niece is going to get their chairs next week.

I've always gone to La-Z-Boy when it comes to sofas and reclining chairs because of the reclining feature. I still have some that I bought over 10 years ago that still looks like new, but they are becoming uncomfortable so I purchased a new one. I went to their gallery and noticed that a lot of the sofas were not firm. The back of the sofa is spongy and your head sinks in. The furniture is not showing like it used to be and I think they are not using the same quality. When I brought that up, they dismissed me. I think that when somebody has a question that maybe they can address that concern of the client. If it wasn't for the sales girl, I would've probably gone somewhere else. She was nice, took me around and showed me the different styles. She was very pleasant and very professional.
The delivery team was very nice, explained how to work the power reclining feature and asked me if I had any questions. They were concern and perfect gentlemen. I miss those little pieces of material that's put in the back, on the arms and on the back of the head to protect the furniture from getting soiled. You can order it but for an extra charge when it used to come with it automatically. They could sell more sofas if they don’t charge for every little thing you ask about. But I would probably go back again. It's a nice looking sofa and it's better than what I had before.

To date we are very disappointed with our LA-Z-BOY purchase. We bought a whole room of furniture, including a sofa, loveseat, tables, lamps, rug, and pictures. The room looks wonderful, but it is unusable. The two upholstered pieces give off a smell/gas that causes headaches and throat and eye irritation when sitting on them too long. We have waited over two weeks for the off-gassing to subside, but it has not. (We verified that it is the couch and loveseat by removing all the other pieces from the room for a week.) LA-Z-BOY Customer Service is due to come out next week, and hopefully they will identify and resolve the problem. If they are able to fix the issue, I will be most happy to update this review. We want to be able to enjoy our new room, but right now we cannot.

We went to several places, and La-Z-Boy was the last pit stop because they said they had design services. The designer came out and I told her what I like and that I had no vision. I had no high expectations because we hired an interior designer before who was not helpful at all. She then had the fabrics laid out, as well as the design choices. We went in and we were done in another minute. I was in love and we bought almost exactly what she showed us. We did, however, change the recliner to leather for my husband. The quality of the furniture is good. We already had a guest who slept on the mattress on the pull-out couch, and she said it was good.
The only issue we had was the lampshades were damaged when they came in. So, they ordered me one while waiting on the replacements. Although a bit pricey, I'm so pleased with the design service and the help we got choosing the furniture, and the way they worked so well with us. We had to go back to design my movie theater because I am in love with them. Everybody that we talked to was fantastic and helpful.

I have had a La-Z-Boy chair for about 8 years. It has been a great product until recently. The bar which lifts the leg rest broke in half. Guaranteed for life? I called to have the chair repaired which went fine other than I was under the assumption it would be free. It was not explained to me that labor is not covered after the first year. The repair technician called our house phone two days later while my wife was on the phone. He did not leave a message and did not try calling back. After 5 days, we called the service rep again. My wife gave her cell phone number in addition to our house phone. That was approximately 2 weeks ago. I welded the bar myself and saved the $110 or so for the repair from La-Z-Boy. We also had purchased another recliner two years ago which we had issues with. The fabric on the arm tore. At that time, service did repair the arm (replaced the entire piece) at no cost as it was less than a year old.
We purchased a couch and loveseat a year ago. Delivery went fine. While rearranging the furniture for the holidays, I found that the couch was missing an adjustable foot on one end. I went back to the showroom and they were able to give me one which normally must be ordered through service. Again this year while rearranging for due to removing my broken chair, I brought the loveseat from another room. As I had to disassemble it to move. I came to discover it too was missing an adjustable foot on one end. The seat units were also installed at an angle instead of straight. I am not happy with the service or quality of La-Z-Boy and their products. While my first chair held up well, I have been having many issues with the latest pieces. The couch has almost no padding on the sides of the armrest boxes. For the current quality, price, and lack of service, I will find another furniture company. I am done with La-Z-Boy.

I've had La-Z-Boy furniture for a number of years. The sofa and loveseat in the lower level of my house was beyond its useful life so I bought a sofa from La-Z-Boy. The sales reps at the gallery were very friendly and helpful but when they called to inform me that the furniture was ready, they didn't tell me that I had to pay all the balance that was due on the account before I could schedule the delivery. The other thing that was a little disturbing was one sofa cushion that had a little mark on it. I would like to call the customer service to ask if they can have the cushion remade or if it comes from completely different lots and the fabric would be off and different. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and the quality is good.

Selected a La-Z-Boy Rocker Recliner at Slumberland Furniture in Moorhead Minnesota. It was 'special ordered' since I wanted a specific material and color. I also ordered Memory Foam to be installed in the seat. Waited 6 weeks for the chair. When I got it home, you could tell whoever upholstered it did a very terrible job. The fabric was twisted in 2 separate places. When the technician came out to look at it after I called the store to complain, he told me there was nothing he could do about it and the only thing to be done was to order another one and return the original.
Waited another 6 weeks and just got it home today. There is still one place the fabric is twisted, but I'm so sick of the whole process. I'm just going to keep it and just remember never to get another piece of La-Z-Boy furniture. I paid $750 for this chair, but it is one of the most uncomfortable chairs I've owned. The technician told me it takes about 15 minutes for an upholsterer to upholster one of these chairs and I definitely believe it. On top of that with the memory foam, if just sitting in the chair, my or my husbands feet can't fully be on the floor. I'm 5'6" and my husband is 6' tall. Totally unhappy with my whole experience. (I also order another chair for our camper which I kept.)

My one chair was old and falling apart, so I recently purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy, my first purchase from them. The sales representative at the La-Z-Boy gallery was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. So far, the quality of the furniture I received is good. However, it could've been a little bit cheaper, especially now, looking at all the sales that are out there.

I had to make a warranty claim on the fabric and filling on a recliner and the response and resolution by La-Z-Boy was swift and totally satisfying. They have offered to take the chair back and asked that I return to the store for a reelection. This is the kind of service that builds brand loyalty. One year ago we purchased 3 leather La-Z-Boy recliners for our RV, from the Henderson, NV store. Shortly after delivery, it was noticed that on the corner of one chair, the stitching holes were oversized. I expressed concern about these, called customer care and set up an appointment for a technician to come and see the product. After his inspection, it was their call to order us a new back for the subject chair. It came in, shipped to the store as per our request (we travel all winter). Unable to pick it up prior to our return to Canada, they agreed to hold it at their store until our return this year. Picked it up, it is awesome! They definitely went out of their way to accommodate us...
Second part of this story is that we would not be back into the USA until after the 1 year warranty expired. While in Canada, I contacted customer care once again due to a discoloration on the back of one of the other recliners. They contacted their Kelowna, BC store to see if they would do a courtesy call and handle the issue. Within a week, we were notified that a new back was going to be shipped - this time to our home address. We were told it would typically be 8 - 12 weeks for it to arrive. In actuality, it arrived in less than 3 weeks. We love the recliners we purchased and want to say KUDOS the customer service offered to us. Would highly recommend at least the 2 stores we dealt with. Thanks again guys!

We hated our previous couch and my sister-in-law had a couch from La-Z-boy which we liked the look and felt comfortable. So we decided to purchase our very first La-Z-Boy sofa. We were entertained by professional and knowledgeable sales reps. They explained any questions that we had. It was a much better experience compared to Thomasville where we were completely ignored. We just kept walking around and no one would talk to us. We're trying to make eye contact but no one at least said hi and asked if we have a question. It was really a positive experience with La-Z-Boy.
Moreover, the sales associate made the scheduling of delivery easy and it didn't take long. The delivery team, on the other hand, were great and helpful. When my accent pillows didn't come with the delivery when it supposed to, I got confused and asked I was supposed to wait. They said no and told me what to do and how to go about seeing the pillows. So far, we love the sofa and we haven't killed it yet. We're big people and we seem to kill couches. Also, we were pleased with the cost which we think is not too expensive.

I was called Nov 19 to verify the address for delivery of my order. Once we were finished the person on the phone gave me a delivery time of 6-9 PM. I did question this. Nov 20, I received another call stating there would be a delivery to me, and no time was given for the delivery. Saturday, Nov 21 I received a call from the warehouse supervisor stating the truck was in front of my house and where was I?

My wife is on hospice. She got Dementia and Parkinson’s. She spends 90% of her day in a chair and the rest on the bed, so that's why we've had Lane's. They never seem to work out right. After a while the fabric, the padding and all starts to give up and I got three Lane's in my hobby room. So I thought the La-Z-Boy should be able to get what I need, but I had a not too good of an experience with La-Z-Boy. I bought this La-Z-Boy chair for my wife.
My La-Z-Boy that I bought is fine for me and I love it, but my wife is just not comfortable in hers. I have a no to La-Z-Boy that she uses. She spends so many hours in it in a day. I was going to come by at the store tomorrow and bring her over and see if there's a solution that we can work out on this furniture. I'm not happy with the way the controller comes to the seat and so forth. Maybe that's the only way we can do it successfully. But I do love the lady rep at La-Z-Boy, she's good.

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for about 25 years. The furniture had gotten old so we had these updated. About two years ago, we bought some additional pieces. We recently purchased sectional chairs recliners from them. They've updated the store and they've done a very good job keeping up with the times. The style suits me and we're very happy with the quality. The furniture that I've had for 25 years is still in very good shape. Although it's not the most high-end furniture, it's not the cheapest furniture, But we're willing to pay out for better furniture, so I'm happy. The sales representatives at the La-Z-Boy gallery were wonderful and very helpful. I was in and out of the store a number of times and the designer there was great. Everything was fine when we were scheduling our furniture delivery with the sales associate. Everything came when it was supposed to and it was good. I'd come back.

Our daughter was expecting her first child four years ago and had only a hand-me-down sofa. She really wanted a sofa and loveseat with footrests. She wanted a La-Z-Boy because my husband and I had purchased a set over 15 yrs. ago and, aside from some repadding and hardware adjustment, it is still going strong. We told her and her husband that we would loan them the money to buy a set. We didn't go with them to pick it out. They were so proud of it. They never wear shoes in the house and have only the one child, so it got pretty light wear. When I saw the set I was suspicious of the leather. It looked "bonded" to me.
They were very happy though, so I said nothing. About a month ago when I was visiting them she said the leather was peeling. Sure enough, it was peeling back from the stitching. I simply couldn't believe La-Z-Boy would use such an inferior product and call it leather. That is the cheapest of the cheap. Since we had paid for it, I called the repair center and was told, basically to ** off because if was over one year old. There is no satisfactory way to repair this item. I hope everyone who is considering purchasing a La-Z-Boy reads this before they do so. It is NOT a quality item and my daughter is stuck with something that is now embarrassing to her. I simply cannot believe the lack of customer satisfaction in this case. $3,000.00 doesn't buy much these days.

I purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy because my old La-Z-Boy recliner which I inherited from my father was literally falling apart. The sales representatives were beyond excellent, especially the first woman that talked to me and the woman who does the design in the house. They were so helpful and very knowledgeable. I appreciate their work. The guys who brought the furniture did very well. They were very professional and put everything down where it was supposed to be. I absolutely love the sectional. The price goes along with the great quality.

I purchased a chaise lounger, recliner, corner piece, and a pull out bed section for my sectional couch, totaling about $3,000.00. Prior to purchasing all items I had gone into the store 3 times and was helped by 2 individuals (Lily and John). I discussed my family, lifestyle, and options/choices they had for me. I decided to purchase a couch that they had available, and originally I had been told they could deliver, then was told that they could not, but the salesman could deliver it to me for $100, then that price was changed to $150, and eventually I was charged $180 for the items to be delivered to me. The salesman was nice, but clearly very motivated to sell. Promises were made to deliver by 4pm, and instead items showed up after 10pm.
3 weeks later I contacted the sales gentleman again -- I hadn't heard back so 1 week later I called again, and spoke to him. I had 2 items on hold, however, was uncertain about if I should buy them because I had left a message a week earlier re: the couch -- the fabric was (and still is) falling apart at the seams. I did not want to purchase additional items that would also fall apart for the price I already have paid for a couch that is falling apart. He stated I have a warranty and that they will either replace the couch, or fix the fabric issue. He explained that is a factory issue, and that they have discontinued that particular couch/fabric so I needed to take things to the service department to find out what they wanted to do. He also specifically told me to see if they could send a technician out as he did not want to have to take items from my home back down to the service department.
At this point we were already in October and I took a cushion and pictures of other areas as I was told by the salesman to service. When I got there the guy stated he had "never seen anything like that before". He stated that they could not come out to the house to look at the other pieces, just send him pictures. I did so, and he told me that in 1 week that "corporate should let us know if they will replace it or if they will reupholster it". After 2 weeks I called the service department and was told that they "hadn't heard anything from corporate" but they "should know in the next few days and would check again".
I called again 3 weeks later on November 30th and was told that my claim had been denied. The company stated that there was "dog hair seen in the picture so that means that a dog damaged the couch". When I asked about the warranty the service department (Margarita) said that if there is pet hair on the product that there is no warranty. This is not a discussion that I ever had with the salesman -- he and I explicitly spoke about how I had pets, and that being a reason why leather was not a good option for my household. He never mentioned that La-Z-Boy was against pets and somehow could dictate if a warranty is upheld or not based on pet ownership. That is unwarranted -- the dog that La-Z-Boy is accusing of damaging a couch.
1. Is a therapy dog used for children in crisis and individuals who have developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries2. Has never destroyed anything in her life (none of my animals ever have).
3. My other dogs do not get on furniture.
4. All animals were crated the first 3 months I lived here, and only recently have not been (there is no possibility anything could have been destroyed by them -- they had no access).
I find it insulting that La-Z-Boy would try to accuse a pet of damaging a couch when the chaise lounger has never been sat on and has a seam coming apart from one end of the lounger to the other. This pillaging has occurred by the part of the couch where one's feet would rest, and on 3 different cushions. The cushions where one's back rests also have some blemishes.
I was told by service to call corporate -- I did so, was put on hold for over 30 minutes and transferred 3 times. 2/3 people I spoke to were so rude that I just asked to talk to someone who could actually help me -- I never found that person. In the finish the last individual (yes I have all of their names too) told me to contact the store directly and that they "should work with me". I have been given inconsistent information by corporate, the store, and repair… I explained this and that I would likely have to file a BBB report since I've had these concerns for 8 weeks and no resolution has taken place. It appears that each individual is pointing fingers in the other direction and passing the buck rather than taking accountability for their statements and inconsistencies.
I did call the store -- I asked to leave a message for John (Lily answered the phone) and she said "I hope it can wait until Wednesday…" When I explained that I had some things on hold she seemed pretty eager to try to get me to come in (for the sale), but when I then explained that I was not comfortable because my couch was falling apart and this had been going on with no resolution for over 2 months she promptly stated, "My manager called in today, and so did a coworker. I am by myself and I have to go. I have customers that I need to help. He will call you Wednesday." I told her I hoped that she and the La-Z-Boy company would be more honest with these customers than they had been with me. She hung up on me.
Imagine if a company had a warranty (note I've never had to use a warranty with any company before ever and I've always had pets of all kinds -- and NEVER had a problem) and you purchased something and they told you later that because your kid sat on it and their hair was on it that it was your fault -- even if their product had proven to be defective within the first month. Their sales individuals will do anything to get a sale -- and while John was very nice, and even sent me a Thank you card for feeding him pizza when he came to deliver my items -- I feel that I was lied to.
I was never given a copy of the warranty. Upon purchase I was only given a receipt after handing them a check for nearly $3,000 and placing a deposit on 2 other items I intended to pick up a month later (which has not yet happened since in 3 weeks I found out their products apparently fall apart). I have been inconsistent stories by over 7 representatives from different facets of the company, I'm not sure which "branch" is being dishonest and accusatory, however, I do know that inconsistencies indicate that there is untruth within a situation and corporation. Had I known that this company was 1. Not pet friendly 2. Does not honor warranties 3. Inconsistent in their expression of information to consumers on all levels I would not have done business with them at all.
I am very disappointed in my purchase. I am seeking compensation through the BBB, and through Consumer Affairs since La-Z-Boy does not appear to want to honor their warranty or work with me on any level. I would be happy with any of the below resolutions:
1. New upholstery of this couch -- something that will not fall apart in 3 weeks.2. A replacement. (Please note the options above are the options the salesman stated were covered in the warranty that service and corporate have stated they will not honor.)
3. Return of the merchandise and a full refund since what I got definitely is not worth $3,000; especially not when it's blemished after 3 weeks, and continues to get worse (even though it's been covered by blankets and sheets since September). AND
4. An apology.
I would like one of the above resolutions AND an apology. I believe that it's ignorant to state to someone that because there is dog hair on a couch that the issue is inherently the dog's. That would be like stating to someone that if grandma sat on the couch and there was a gray hair and the fabric was coming apart at the seams that it's grandma's fault -- who would have the audacity to say that? Apparently La-Z-Boy.
I would like to state that my animals are impeccably trained, and for at least 50% of the time that this couch has been here with them they were crated -- even when they are not 2/3 don't go on furniture, the 1/3 that does goes on her blanket. The irony is one of these dogs used to volunteer at Children's Hospital, and the other works with and volunteers with individuals with mental health issues, Alzheimer's, dementia, and traumatic brain injury patients -- not exactly a crazy bunch of dogs over here. They are all markedly well trained and I should not even be having to write all of this justifying or defending my family when a company is denying their warranty. The two things in this particular case do not go hand in hand. I sincerely hope that I get a response and resolution that is amicable, and are less insulting than any of the statements that were made to me by representatives of this company today.

I got a sectional recliner from La-Z-Boy recently. Our old furniture was damaged so we needed to replace it. We've already got a whole room full of La-Z-Boy furniture and we love it, so we knew we'd be okay if we went back for more. It was three years ago when we bought the couch, two chairs and some tables for a room we have off of our living area. It's all great.
The salespeople in Green Bay were wonderful. It's a great team there. We were there multiple times and took fabric home. The same people weren't there when we came back, and they were equally helpful. They answered all our questions and were very knowledgeable. They helped us with the computer system to make us see what the room would be like, and also helped us with our fabric selections. They all worked together to make sure that we were getting exactly what we needed and wanted, and we're looking forward to seeing it. It's due in January, but I'm pretty confident it’s going to work and fit and look wonderful.

Yes, La-Z-Boy is a comfortable chair no one can deny that. But the people who work there are not very friendly. When I walked in I greeted by Michael **, he seems to be the only one on the floor. The manager there didn't give me the time of day. I guess I didn't look like I would be a big ticket purchase person to her, so she ignored me completely, even after Michael went to her to ask for help. I was in the store for 3 hours, YES... 3 hrs because I really wanted to make purchase. After I made my purchase, Michael's face light up and he was so nice and sweet. I came back the very next day AFTER I picked up my purchase to explain how unhappy I was with the item. NOW! Michael, the rude manager - lady and the front desk girl ALL were too busy to speak with me.
I just wanted them to take the SAME amount of time they took with me BEFORE they took my $$. NOPE, they couldn't take the time to speak with me like I was a valued customer. Instead ~ the rude manager-lady said, "I don't have time to help, I am two paying customers DEEP!" I just paid yesterday, now today you treat me like I am a stranger! So long story short, I AGREE with Alex ** the customer service at La-Z-Boy Emeryville is too good to be TRUE. Before you make your purchase they will wine you and dine you...
AFTER I made my purchase and came back the next day with a problem, everyone who work there, acted like they didn't remember me... I will not be returning to this store or ANY La-Z-Boy furniture. Lastly, I spoke with someone at La-Z-Boy Corporate; explained my situation and they informed me that I have to work it out with Emeryville location because they are an independent distributor and there's nothing they could do. No HELP from anyone ~ SAD... Extremely disappointed customer.

I took a lot of La-Z-Boy chairs and put these in two condos over in Borrego and I'm enjoying it very much. Then I had my first purchase in La-Z-Boy San Diego where I got a recliner and the sales representatives have been treating me well. The delivery team were very good. They brought it in and even helped me loading it in my van. I always like the quality of the La-Z-Boy. I feel 100% for them. I brought them way up to the top recommending to my friends, and I still will continue.

We've been married for almost 30 years and have never really bought furniture ourselves other than mattresses so we decided it's time to get a recliner and a sofa from La-Z-Boy. We used to have those La-Z-Boy recliners from my parents who had them when I was growing up. So I knew my husband wanted a recliner because he enjoyed those when we had them. It's of good quality and I know it's gonna hold up. Also, we do not have as many kids at home as we did before so hopefully they won't wear out as fast.
The sales representative over at the store in Dayton was really good and she helped us out. She highlighted the days and let us know that they would call us the day before. She also took the time to highlight the most important things on the information that were given to us regarding the delivery. And, the delivery went fine - it was pretty easy. The delivery crew were very professional when they came in and set it down. They also showed us how to open and close the chairs.

I purchased a recliner set a few years ago for my vacation home in Florida. I spend no more than a month a year at this house, the ply on the 'leather finish' is coming off at an alarming rate. I took the time to contact La-Z-Boy on my last visit here and I was told they can't do anything for me.. I am very disappointed in the customer care being that they have been sat on for no more than 5 months.. I suggest you spend your money on a product the manufacturer stands by!

The associate (Tim) was very helpful and patient. He explained all the possibilities of mattresses with sofa sleepers and showed all styles available. The order came in about two weeks ahead of the expected time, which was great. The delivery people were very nice, handled our sofa as if it was theirs and were ahead of time with the delivery. They called ahead. The sofa sleeper is very comfortable and we have already received a number of comments, on the style the feel and look of the fabric and the comfort of the sofa. We have not yet had a need to use the sleeper, so I can not comment on the comfort of that. Thank you, La-Z-Boy for a great shopping experience.

I purchased a Pinnacle La-Z-Boy recliner # (P 16512) on 10/21/2015 at the Melbourne La-Z-Boy Galleries (3451 West New Haven Ave., Melbourne, Fl.) I sat in the chair at the gallery before purchasing it. The memory foam was added. The chair was delivered 10/28/2015. I was out of town and returned on 11/4/2015. Immediately went to the store and expressed my concerns about the chair.
My concerns were Problems: 1. The added memory foam (installed too high) elevates the chair so I am not sitting "in" the chair. When I recline the elevated position gives me no side support from the arm rests, 2. There is a rocking in the chair in a semi-reclined position. I was told to call customer service. My husband went to the La-Z-Boy website and saw that there was a recall on this chair with an option of repair/refund due to a falling-out-of-chair problem. We notified the La-Z-Boy store where the chair was purchased, who informed us that they do not offer refunds and that there is a 24-hour acceptance policy upon delivery of the chair.
My husband informed the sales manager of the recall of this chair and the sales manager was unaware of the recall. The sales manager refused to refund the cost of the chair. We want the chair to be taken back and the purchase amount of $1476.57 refunded. I always valued La-Z-Boy as top-of-the-line. My experience has caused me to lose faith in the name and the product.

We recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy. It was our first La-Z-Boy purchase. We had a great interaction with the sales representative at the gallery. She was very helpful and took quite a bit of time to show us different options. Then she did a nice job following up with us when we were shopping on several occasions. The salesperson did an outstanding job and I would definitely shop there again. The scheduling of our furniture delivery went great. The sales rep knows what works for you and the whole deal. It was fantastic. Our experience with the delivery team was fine too. They helped moved a piece of furniture we had out of the way, put the new furniture in, and put it together. They did a nice job. I feel good about the quality of the furniture. It's right on the money.

Our shopping, purchasing, and delivery experience were good, although our order did come in 1 week later than promised. We didn't have a deadline so that didn't matter. What has mattered is the poor quality of the furniture. We purchased a cloth recliner rocker, a leather recliner rocker and a cloth couch 4 years ago. One end of the couch can hardly be sat on because it sags so much and the arms are already all packed down and lumpy. But my real gripe is that the leather recliner is peeling everywhere, even in places that don't get touched. It's only been 4 years. Furniture that you pay over $4000 for should last for more than 4 years!

I would like to take a moment to make a few comments about the business practices of our local La-Z-Boy store. I really have enjoyed owning several different pieces of La-Z-Boy furniture and have always liked the quality and comfort that they provide. My wife is currently shopping for a new recliner so thought she would go to the Spokane North Division store on Black Friday to see if she could find any special sales, who doesn't like saving a few dollars. Interestingly she found that in-store prices were much higher than those shown online and the chairs that she was interested weren't available and would need to be ordered.
Once she returned home I looked at the online products and found the chair and the material and color that she wanted, when placing the order there was a $75 delivery charge added. I felt that this was quite high for local delivery and so I called the store and asked if they would honor their online prices. I first talked with a salesperson that couldn't answer my questions and took my name to call me back. I did receive another call from another salesperson and was told that the best price that he could give me was much higher than the online price and that was the best he could do and that it was still around the same price in total as the online price including shipping, which is why I was calling in the first place. So, they don't honor their online prices and their sales prices are higher than their regular prices. Seems we will be going somewhere else for our next purchase. Thanks La-Z-Boy!

I purchased 2 full size reclining couches and a recliner all covered with the Renew Fabric. Within 5 years, this material has started to peel on all 3 pieces. I have talked with Ultra Shield, Comfort Care, the local store, and the corporate customer service dept. for this area. No one can help me. When I purchased this furniture (~$3,000), the salesman told me this new fabric would not peel. I specifically asked this question because it was a new product. I went ahead and spent the extra money because I thought I was purchasing good furniture that would last a long time. If I want to purchase furniture every few years, I would go to a much cheaper store.

I would recommend: NEVER BUY A LA-Z-BOY FURNITURE PRODUCT! My wife and I bought a LA-Z-BOY couch, loveseat, and recliner less than 4 years ago. We recently discovered the cover material (wherever it really is) is falling apart. It's only the 2 of us so it's never been abused. We reported the issue to the store; the Arizona regional customer service center and the LA-Z-BOY corporate customer service. Everyone informed us repeatedly that their guarantee is for 12 months. They will be happy to SELL us new furniture or replacement parts at full price.
LA-Z-BOY representatives indicated (without coming right out and saying it) that the life expectancy of their products is 1 year so us getting 3 1/2 years is way beyond what we should have hoped for after spending $5,000 for it. We MISTAKENLY thought La-Z-Boy was a reputable company. It's my opinion they are NOT. I would recommend NOT doing business with La-Z-Boy. I attempted to post this information on La-Z-Boy's Facebook page but it appears they block negative reviews.

I bought my couch in 2011 & the seams started ripping around 2 years later. When I called for the fabric protection plan I was told that ripping seams weren't covered & the La-Z-Boy coverage didn't cover the ripped seams either. I can't believe that La-Z-Boy doesn't stand behind its product. My previous couch, which was much less costly & not a name brand, lasted over 9 years! I actually thought I was buying a good product when I decided to buy La-Z-Boy, but I found that I was sadly wrong. I will never buy another La-Z-Boy & I certainly will share my experience with others. What a terrible experience & waste of money!

Salesperson Genee ** was so excellent!!! Extremely patient and very helpful. Never pushy and searching thru fabrics until it was perfect. I would definitely recommend her to anyone shopping in Merrillville, IN. Then the delivery guys - awesome!!! They were SO careful with the furniture and the floors. Not in a hurry (and it was pouring rain), made sure everything was perfect. Best delivery we ever had! The furniture - the Dolce sofa, Maverick and Spectator power recliner rockers in custom fabrics... they came in sooner than we thought. They're absolutely beautiful. We've had La-Z-Boy furniture before, but with the lumbar and head adjusts on the recliners, and the firmer, higher sitting sofa it's so much more comfortable than we ever thought furniture could be. The only thing that could make it better was if the chair remotes were cordless and had a favorite position button. Overall AWESOME! Thank you La-Z-Boy!

I purchased a cloth Joshua memory foam recliner in June 2014. I also purchased the fabric protection. Probably about 6 months after purchase I noticed a small hole in the seam on the seat. As I had misunderstood the fabric warranty I did not contact La-Z-boy immediately but started to notice more holes and fraying of the fabric at the seam. I contacted the warranty department in September 2015 and was told there was nothing they could do as it was beyond the 1 year warranty.
I took pictures and went to the store where I purchased it. I spoke with the manager and showed him the pictures. He was very perplexed as he had never seen anything like it. I sent the pictures to him and he forwarded an email to warranty. After a couple weeks I contacted them and again there was nothing they could do. I am very disappointed with La-Z-boy and don't see making another La-Z-boy purchase. I recently purchased a very inexpensive recliner but now have the old one sitting in my entry hall and not sure what to do with it.
