    We purchased 2 recliners 2/9/16, delivered on the 11th and one had a squeak. Therefore, called salesperson who set up an exchange – no questions about our request. We had a problem with delivery (truck broke down) and (death in family) everything exchanged out. New chair has a similar type squeak, must be a characteristic of chair.

    I was looking for a comfortable recliner that looked nice and where there was also room for a special dog to lay beside me and thought I could find it myself; however, after a short search on which I came up empty, I finally decided it might be a good idea to have a salesperson's help -- and there she was!! I told her what I wanted and she glanced around a few seconds, then suggested I come try "this one" -- which I did and it was amazingly comfortable before I "reclined" but when I reclined I knew immediately "this one" was "the one" I had been looking for. It is automatic so I don't have to reach down and pull up a lever that was always rather difficult for me. Just push a button and it goes just where I want it. And there is room for that special dog to jump up, cuddle down, and flake off into slumber land while I play or work on my computer -- we are both supremely happy with this chair which I probably would not have found on my own.

    What I'm getting at is that as desired I was able to look on my own without a salesperson, but when I was ready for one, I didn't have to go looking for one and she was great. She took the time to be sure that this chair was really the one for me -- did it fit me (it did); could I reach the controls OK (I could); was there the extra room I needed for my dog (there was) etc, etc. In other words I felt well taken care of and she gave me knowledgeable and friendly answers to all of my questions and I never felt rushed to make a decision.

    So, what more could one ask for -- good friendly service from a knowledgeable salesperson and just the chair I had wanted. It was delivered a few days later right on time and by a couple of personable and knowledgeable young men who removed my old La-Z-Boy which I'd had for almost 40 years but it didn't have any push buttons! So what more can I say. I got excellent friendly service and a comfortable chair that I simply love. Will I return to this La-Z-Boy store -- you can take that to the bank!!! In fact I'm thinking seriously of getting another chair in a few months -- need a new one for the living room... and what better than a twin to "this one". Thanks La-Z-Boy from this LazyGirl!

    We ordered a recliner sofa with manual footrest lift. (We already own a recliner chair with electric controls.) It was ready for home delivery six week after my order date and was delivered two days after we paid the balance. That was faster than I expected. The "fabric" upholstery is richly patterned and colored and seems like it will be durable for two retired adults. (The "Performance Fabric" on my recliner seems more rugged and would be better for family use.)

    The recliner sofa has memory-foam, which is very comfortable. However, after a few weeks, the middle section of the sofa is noticeably "new" looking, while the recliner sections already show some sagging in the lower third of the back of the sofa. I recommend the electronic controls "especially" if a person using the chair/sofa is over 60 years old and possesses no more than average fitness. Pushing the footrest down requires average (or better) whole-leg and back strength. (I'm 62 and do not exercise regularly. I'm concerned that, 10 years from now, rising from the recliner sofa will be difficult for me.) Overall, we are pleased with our purchase.

    I've always thought that the brand-name La-Z-Boy meant something. Couple years ago I went shopping for a couch and loveseat and in my mind the only brand I could buy was La-Z-Boy because of all the advertisements commercials and everyone saying that they're just wonderful pieces of furniture. So I spent over $5000 for a couch and loveseat and when I bought it I was told that everything was 100% guaranteed. The mechanisms would work. Don't worry about anything going wrong. It's a great company that stands by their product.

    Within one year one the recliners did not work properly. Took over 3 1/2 months to get them out here to fix it. It was not fixed properly and had staples sticking out of the foot rest which cut the back of my feet every time I tried using it. Then in less than a year it was broken again, as well as the second recliner at the end of the couch. Once again I'm trying to get them out to fix it. Since I work seven days a week I hired someone and paid them to sit at my house waiting for the service man to come and repair the couch. He never showed up. When I called La-Z-Boy, they called me back within 20 minutes and told me that the guy was not able to come out that day. So that cost me and additional $80 on top of the 200+ dollars I already had to pay them for supposedly two hours of work on my couches.

    Now they have my money and I have two broken recliners. No one has tried to contact me to set up a new appointment. I sure would have been nice to at least receive a phone call from them telling me their service man would not be coming. I'm tempted to say goodbye to the $300 and find another company who might be able to fix this couch. Sooo upset. I really expected more from this company. I have never in my 63 years been impelled to write anything negative about anyone or any company. This is my first time. The reason I'm writing this is to warn any prospective buyer to BEWARE.

    Within 24 hours one of the recliners broke. The service group came out and determined the base of the loveseat has to be replaced. Without a question being asked the base is being built and will be installed soon. Every company has its problems and how they resolve them says a lot about the company's character.     I recently had a recliner delivered to my dad. It was $1600 and we waited over 6 weeks for delivery (it was customary). After the men left, my dad sat in the chair and the back came off on one side. I immediately called and was told the truck could not return. I was told to call customer service and they gave me a date weeks away before they could service the chair. I told them it was unacceptable and called the store again. The store manager came out immediately and put the chair together correctly. The manager gets 5 stars. Your customer service center gets 1 star. Based on this, I would tell someone to buy from the same store knowing the manager would fix things immediately. But customer service scares me.

    When I ordered my furniture, the sales person and I discussed the motion mechanism handle, and I ordered and thought my furniture would be coming with the wooden long handle mechanism instead of the uncomfortable "pull type" mechanism that I received. That is the only thing that I am disappointed over about this furniture. Other than that I truly love my selection!! After delivery, I called customer service regarding this, and they told me that my selection wasn't even available with the wood handle mechanism... but that's not what my salesperson told me.

    We spent $5,000 on a recliner couch and loveseat in January 2016. After we got it, about two weeks later, we noticed that the couch back didn't line up with the armrest - was off by about 4 inches. We called service and he was extremely unhelpful - didn't have anyone in our area to come on the days we were available. Was not polite and definitely no customer service. We called back and someone else said they could get a guy to come and check it out. The person showed up, took a look at the couch and said there was a screw missing and the whole frame was out of whack so he had to order a new armrest. Instead of a new couch, he is coming to repair it. We should get a new couch. We went with La-Z-Boy because of their GREAT reputation and quality, etc. Should have gone to Costco and saved $3000. Would never buy from La-Z-Boy again. Extremely disappointed in the product and it's not cheap! Not worth it.

    I purchased a sectional couch on July 7, 2013 for around $4500.00 dollars from the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Greenfield, WI. I noticed that two of the cushions were coming apart at the seams. I called La-Z-Boy on February 24, 2016 to have them look at it for repair. They charged me $115.00 for a service call. The man came on March 15, 2016 was here five minutes, told me it could not be repaired. I then called La-Z-Boy repair service again and was told that the type of cushion I have is no longer made nor the fabric. But they would recommend a local furniture repair place to fix it. Ok! If they, La-Z-Boy, could not fix it then why could any other place fix it? In other words their customer service is non existent! I will never purchase or recommend La-Z-Boy product to anyone!

    Love the furniture. However, we were expecting it in the dark brown as your store display. Maybe color names rather than numbers should be used to assure customers have the right choice. The color number we wanted was right next to color number we ended up with. We will never know if the error was a simple error when inputting our order, or not. When confirming the order all a customer see is a bunch of numbers. An error can be detected easier if a customer has to confirm words rather than numbers.

    We're happy with the chair, but delivery was another issue. We were supposed to be called the day before to set up a window - that never happened. I called and was told when it would be, a time we weren't actually available. We had to extend a baby sitter's time so that someone would be home. We purchased a chair and two pillows. The pillows weren't delivered. We called to find out where they were and were told they were delivered to the store. Why would we want a chair delivered at home, and pillows at the store?! The store agreed to send them to our house. Weeks went by, no pillows. I called again and was told they were still at the store and I could pick them up. I once again asked why they weren't shipped, and for them to be shipped. I then got another call a few hours later from the store asking what I wanted to do with the pillows. They finally shipped that day. Very frustrating delivery experience.

    I adore my new recliner. My only complaint is that the poor delivery men weren't given the name of my retirement complex which have been very helpful since there are two large complexes across from one another. They phoned a few times to try to figure out where they were headed with my chair. However, once here, everything went perfectly and the chair is better than expected. I ordered an in-stock chair in December with a February 19th delivery since I wasn't taking possession of my apartment until the 18th. Everything worked out very smoothly and I'd definitely check with them again if I find myself needing additional pieces of furniture.

    Recently purchase 5,300.00 of La-Z-Boy furniture from greenfield Wisconsin store. Salespeople were nice and genuine. We got a surprised call for delivery on a Saturday. The company never pre called and treated us like 14 year olds. We only received half of order (which was originally told in all fairness). After delivery people left we noticed loose fabric on live seat. We've been waiting over 1 week for return call from customer care. We asked store to replace love seat and upgrade us to a electric love seat. They said in March 13th they could not take this hit. In The interim we've mentioned that we been still awaiting a call from repair tech. And still haven't received the other half of our furniture (and we paid cash). Called I. Today March 14th and Austin at customer care asked me to call tech. I'm very concerned. Very unprofessional. They have our money and we have defective furniture and still awaiting the other pieces.

    I purchased the Monroe style rocker recliner from QVC and since have had AIT, which is the delivery company they used, pick up the first chair and deliver the second one. The problem is that the back of the chair is going FLAT. Mind you, the chair is supposed to have memory foam in it for the increased cost of $150.00. So, why are these chair backs going FLAT after a week or two of use??? I have called QVC regarding the problem, but they can't help, except to send me out another new chair, and have the FLAT one picked up, again!!

    The delivery guys were great! They told me that they are having a lot of recalls on the chair, but so far, no complaints on the leather models or on the power model. I don't want any leather or power chair, and should not have to order something that cost even more money. So today I put in a call to the Monroe La-Z-Boy recliner company in LA. And I sure hope that the Consumer Affairs from there gets back to me very soon to get the issue resolved ASAP!

    We purchased new furniture from the La-Z-Boy store in Toledo, Ohio in 2011. My husband sits on the same side of the loveseat, and I sit on the same side of the couch. Within one year, both of us noticed the seats were collapsing so I called the store. I heard the same thing that others have complained about. "We have never had anyone complain about that; I own one and it is still fine, etc." To be honest, that convinced me that they did not feel like repairing it. I stopped in the store a couple times and mentioned it to the saleswoman who handled our purchase, the only person I would give a 5 star rating to, and she sent me back to the repair center.

    When I walked back there, a man came out and I told him what was going on. He said basically the same thing that I was told on the phone but offered to send someone out. Why didn't I have them come out? Because my daughter bought furniture from them also, and the buttons on the back of the chairs kept coming off. She had repair out there a couple times and the fix didn't work so she gave up. I have talked to so many people about the lack of good repair people they send out, and figured it would be a waste of time. So, will I recommend your company to purchase furniture from? No.

    The other furniture we had wasn't doing the job so we purchased a new sectional from La-Z-Boy. The furniture is nice and cost to quality wise, I felt it's a good deal. I really like it and I fall asleep in it a lot. The people at the furniture place where we got the La-Z-Boy were very nice and everything went pretty smooth. They did a nice job and explained everything. When they delivered it, the chair was broken. We had to wait for the one chair for six weeks because they didn't have it. But when they brought it, it was broke. They took it back and we got another one a week later. Overall, I was very happy and I've had a very good experience with them. If I ever need furniture again, I'd go back there.

    I just had major back surgery and the surgeon told me that I should get a recliner so I purchased one from La-Z-Boy. I also bought a table. I went in their store and sales reps were nice and went out of their way to greet. I ordered two recliners, but then, when the two recliners came, they weren't the same as the one in the store. I called them up and I said that the one for my friend wasn't comfortable for her. They said they will send people out to try to fix it. I'm going in for surgery and I can't be doing all of this back and forth. I told them to take the one chair and bring me another one more like the one in the store.

    Then I found out that the one in the store had probably softened up and that's why it was comfortable. Whereas the ones that they brought me were from two different batches and warehouses that's why they weren't the same as the one in the store. Nobody explained that I wasn't going to get exactly the same recliner that I sat on at the store.

    I called up the person who sold it to me. She was really great. She called up the warehouse and went out of her way. They took two chairs back, which was not supposed to happen as it was against their policy. So I was delighted with the fact that they did give such great customer service. I didn't expect that from a big company. But everybody was great. Additionally, while the delivery guys were here, I asked them if they could move the couch a bit for me because I couldn't push it and they did that. I'm so happy with the chair and the table is great! I have recommended them to all my friends.

    I purchased chair 6/28/14 and in 01/16 noticed back and seat pads sagging. La-Z-Boy ordered a seat cushion and installed it for $70. Nothing was mentioned of back pad. I presently own 3 La-Z-Boy chairs and a couch. I'm very disappointed with the way this was handled. I had thought La-Z-Boy was a superior furniture manufacturer. One of my other chairs is a leather recliner and is six years old, gets the same usage as the one with the sagging cushions, and is still in excellent condition. How Is La-Z-Boy going to correct this situation?

She arranged for the chair to be picked up, waived the restock fee and gave us a store credit so we can come in later and pick out a better fitting chair.     We just this PM took delivery of a new chair for my wife but it's not going to work. After sitting in the chair for about 25 minutes, she had to get up because she was in extreme pain. When my wife called the local "Furnishings consultant", she was no help at all. She stated several times that she could do nothing, told us to contact Comfort Care. I had already emailed the "Consultant" letting her know the problem and requesting a return on the chair, either for refund or store credit.

    We bought this chair because my wife is going in to hospital for cancer surgery, needed a chair that would assist her reclining and sitting up. We paid $1193.46 for this chair, expect better service than this. Are all those reviews online correct? Does La-Z-Boy care only for money you can make, nothing for serving your customers?

    My furniture was older and my kids had moved out so I was ready for a change. I purchased accessories, table, sofa, pillow, loveseat, and a chair from La-Z-Boy.     I like the part that they have a designer in their facility that will work with me. I was switching from more of a traditional to a more modern look, and they were really helpful in pulling that together and made recommendations. I told them I had done my kitchen over and had thought about putting a new buffet table. He showed me options but there was no pressure. I said once I’d paid off one, then I’ll move into the next one. It was really easy, comfortable and exceptional service. The installers were great too.     After contacting the customer service dept in Dallas, TX to inform them that the chair that was purchased at the Mesquite, Texas location had broken again for the third time, Sandra in the customer service dept returned my call to setup a repair and that I would have to pay again for the third time to get a defective chair repaired. I did not feel that I should have to continue to pay to get a chair repaired that apparently is a defective chair, and when I conveyed this to Sandra she was very short with me and acted as if I was irritating her by venting my frustration with a chair that is costing me more to keep than it was to purchase.

    I immediately contacted the consumer affairs dept to convey how dissatisfied I was with La-Z-Boy and that I would never purchase anything else from La-Z-Boy due to fact that no one at La-Z-Boy made attempt to make this right. I must add buyer beware when making a purchase from La-Z-Boy, because when they say their furniture has a lifetime warranty that's a bunch of (BS). This is a list of all of the so called Managers that I have contacted about this issue to no avail, Pat **, Angel **. A case number was set-up by Morgan at consumer affairs ** still no results. La-Z-Boy made no attempt to correct this problem and make it right.

    We usually go to our local furniture store but they’ve been out of business for several years. We had gone to a flexsteel leather couch with matching recliner chair. I am not crazy about it but I am stuck with it. Until we get into a senior living development here, we will downsize some of that furniture. It’s way too big for us. However, I do like our La-Z-Boy new chair that I got for my husband. He’s shrunk a little bit, and with his Parkinson’s, that La-Z-Boy is really good. I also like the fabric we picked out. It was hard to tell just with the little swatch in the store, but I do like it. I’m pleased with it and get compliments on it. Plus, they were nice employees over at the La-Z-Boy store.     My two sofa looked amazing and were really good when new. Sadly the sofa has dipped in both corners by the arms. These are reclining sofas and its natural for people to sit by the arm to enable them to work the controls. When we reported this fault to them we were asked to pay £60 for a call out fee for them to investigate. I don't think this Tamla sofa is worth the money we paid for it and am very disappointed with La-Z-Boy. Would never buy from them again.

    I am completely satisfied with David ** and his help when picking out my chair but, when I called today to say I was not satisfied with the cushion seat I was told I have to bring it in to be examined or pay to have someone come out to my home to examine it. That is an insult to me to be told since I did not have it delivered. Why should I be put out after paying over $800.00 for a chair that if not on sale would have been over $1,000.00. What kind of customer service is that? Knowing that now I will not return to La-Z-Boy to purchase anything again.

    My whole experience has been quite pleasing with La-Z-Boy. The salesmen I've interacted during my purchases from La-Z-Boy were excellent. The first salesman when we bought one last March was more just a salesman. The second sales rep during our recent purchase was also a decorator. She came out to our house and looked at what we had and put it in her computer. The furniture is still in the process of being made and delivered. In our first purchase, the delivery team came right on time. They brought the furniture right in and I wasn't around that time. They explained to my wife a few things then they left.

    La-Z-Boy is a high-end furniture and I expect it to last a long time. The quality seems good on all their furniture. I've only owned one piece for a year but it's working perfectly. It does everything it's supposed to do and is one of the best sleeper chairs I ever had. When the chair was delivered, the recliner handle had a scratch in it and they sent me out the part right away and on time. They didn't have to send out a technician because it was only one little set-screw on it.

    Everyone was very cordial and helpful. I have an issue with the warranty because one of the pieces I bought off the floor arrived damaged. I was told by the representative that they realized that it was damaged when they were loading it on the truck so they arranged for the warranty work to be done on it. The warranty company has yet to show up. They always put us weeks out in the future before they could work. We were set up for Tuesday morning as we expressed and then the contractor called us to tell us it will be at 3:00 PM. La-Z-Boy needs a different contract company. Other than this, everything's great.

    Jen did a great job in helping me choose the right size chair for me. We worked carefully at choosing a fabric that would coordinate with my living room. I wish the fabric sample more accurately showed the true colors. I received my chair and was extremely disappointed with how totally gold my chair looked. If I sit in near darkness, I can see a green tone to the fabric. I wanted more green than gold.

    We've always had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home since the 60's. I recently purchased a recliner. Their sales reps were good. However, they didn't do exactly what I wanted. I told them to leave the item packaged when I pick it up as I want to see it being unpacked. But when I got there, it was unpacked. I almost refused it, but I didn’t want to go through it all again. When a customer spends whatever I spent and asks for one little thing to ensure quality and didn't get it, it's a big no-no and I don't like it. So I called them back and told them about it.

    I'm a businessman and I would never have done business like this, unless I was just after the almighty dollar. I paid $599 for this chair which was on sale with a retail price of $799. When I went back four days later with my quote to purchase the chair, the chair had jumped from $799 to $1,299 and on sale for $999. There was a lot of price gouging somewhere or they had a hell of a sale when I got it on. When I picked up the chair that day, I even made it clear that I don't know how they do it but their inequity and their prices are not even close. It was a dynamic increase. But overall, the chair is nice and I enjoy it.

    I just picked-up my new PowerReclineXR+ today... custom order, so have been waiting almost 8 weeks. Straight out of the box, a pin & lock dropped from under the chair. With just a slight push to make it rock, it makes a horrible noise, so it appears the pin wasn't installed in the rocker mechanism at the factory. I contacted La-Z-Boy & they told me I'd have to bring it to the warehouse, or else pay a service fee FOR THEM TO COMPLETE THE ASSEMBLY OF MY $1,500+ CHAIR, that they already had 8 weeks to build. I even went to the store to try to find someone reasonable, but the manager basically told me "too bad", he wouldn't do anything to help, except call in a service request & then added that the next service appointment wasn't available for 20 days!! UNACCEPTABLE!!! La-Z-Boy, DO THE RIGHT THING and come finish assembling the chair that I've already paid for and waited 8 weeks for.

    I purchased over $2K worth of furniture. The recliner I bought was delivered with the wrong fabric. Went back for another 6 weeks. The ottoman had a "loose wheel" setting and it went back for another 4 weeks. The couch cushion warped/never fit as it should. Excuse was "new model" design and this was a problem with the design. I have now received 2 new cushion interior padding that I have needed to replace. This continues to be a problem. NOW... the fabric stitching is pulling apart. The design stitching is coming out on the cushion, the back, the sides, etc. So incredibly frustrating! Now someone is coming out to see what they can do about the fabric problem. Anything short of replacing the couch is unacceptable. I can't imagine EVER recommending or purchasing from this company.

    The delivery staff did a great job. The sofa and love seat have very big scratches on legs. They were delivered to our Lake House already scratched. The delivery men did a great job and were very careful moving furniture into house. I think as much as we spent we would have received furniture with no scratches.     We purchased a Briggs reclining loveseat with leather upholstery on April 20, 2013 for $2099.99. We were told that it was "genuine top quality leather upholstery." The recliner was delivered on May 23, 2013. In September of 2015 we noticed a tiny area on the left headrest that looked like it might be peeling. By early November, it was obvious that the "leather" was peeling away from the material to which it had apparently been bonded. I called customer service & spoke with Michele **. She told me that La-Z-Boy only warrants their furniture for one year & would not cover the damage. When I persisted, she offered to contact the manufacturer & forward pictures to see if the manufacturer would provide relief. I sent her pictures, which I will add to this complaint. She told me it could take up to 6 weeks for a reply. I sent a F/U email in February but got no reply. I called today & left a message on her voicemail.

    As far as I'm concerned, this is a La-Z-Boy responsibility. I relied on La-Z-Boy's reputation and the claims of its sales staff that I was purchasing high quality leather upholstered furniture, and that turned out not to be the case. This furniture has not been abused. My husband and I are both in our 70's, we have no children at home. This loveseat is in our bedroom & is only used by us. I have leather furniture in my living room, which is 6 years old & which receives much more use than the love seat in question. That furniture looks almost as good as the day I bought it. The primary reason for buying leather furniture is for its wearability. I cannot express how dissatisfied I am.

    Needless to say, if this issue cannot be resolved, we will not shop at La-Z-boy nor will our family & friends. We will also file a complaint with the BBB & search for other venues on which to publish our complaint. I am attaching 2 of the pictures I sent in November, including a detailed enlargement and a picture taken today showing how much worse the problem has become.

    I'm getting used to my La-Z-Boy, and I'm very pleased. I press a button to make it move, and it's very good. This is the second chair I've had and it wears well. I had my son with me for the purchase and that helped a lot. He did a lot of the talking. The salesperson was very respectful, very understanding as to what we were trying to tell him, and then very willing to find it. However, I didn't know when we were buying it that we were paying for the delivery. I was very tired that day, and I didn't think I should've been paying for it.     My shopping experience at the Pensacola La-Z-Boy was enjoyable, customer service was great, I found exactly what I was looking for. I purchased a 4-piece living room couch set. But this is where the experience ended. I purchased my furniture at the end of October and was told it would be delivered before Christmas. I sold my furniture in December to make room for the new. I made a few calls to check on my delivery and was told "it's not in yet, but we will call you when it comes in." Christmas came and went, NO furniture. I received a call in January and set up a delivery date of January 05, the furniture never showed up. So I called La-Z-Boy, they told me the sales person forgot to schedule the delivery, so we need to reschedule for next week. So I rescheduled for Jan. 12th.

    On the morning of the 12th, I received a call saying the furniture did not get on the truck and need to reschedule the delivery for tomorrow the 13h. Luckily I was going to be in town as I travel for a living. I am currently shopping for a coffee end, and dining table, BUT will NEVER purchase again from La-Z-Boy! On top of my delivery service issue, the personnel at La-Z-Boy were VERY rude each and every time I called to inquire about my furniture. I do love my furniture though.     EXTREMELY Disappointed with quality and finish of the product we purchased. Before making the purchase I visited quite a few competitors but settled on La-Z-Boy for the perceived high quality of the product. Such was not the case. In fact you wore me down. The first Pinnacle chair that was delivered came with a noticeable tear in the arm. The second delivered chair had a defective foot rest. The third, that we accepted because we figured it isn't going to get any better, has two arms that don't match. This is the SAME problem I have with the Duncan chair.

    The La-Z-Boy rep Greg stated that the arms are made in assembly line style and two different technicians crafted them. Being that the chair is not more than 41 inches wide, perhaps they can look at each other's work? I also ordered the ULTRA SHIELD protection. I received no details that this was done other than the fact that I paid for it. I guess I have to rely on your word, much like I did for your quality. I may not be able to tell people where to look for a chair, but I can certainly tell them about my experience.

    In the store I found a very soft and comfortable leather recliner. When it was delivered it wasn't the same recliner I sat in at the store. I would never had bought a chair that is this hard since I was definitely looking for a super soft chair (like the one I sat in at the store). This one has memory foam which was frozen when delivered and took over 48 hour to thaw out. It still is hard and not comfortable like the one in the store. I have two other La-Z-Boys which I've had for years with no problems EVER. I paid over $2000 for this chair but I'm not getting satisfaction in fixing this problem.

    Long time ago, we bought a chair from La-Z-Boy when my mother in law and my father in law lived with us. Then we had a wonderful experience at the store in Niles on Route 46. Amy was so helpful and we love the chair. They gave us a certain time that they would be home then my husband was there to take delivery and everything went smoothly.

    I’ll be going back to their store before the end of the month to order the arm covers. I want to get three so we can put the one on the back where our head would rub. I want to have them before and this isn’t available anymore. I know it will wear well but we had a very good experience and I would definitely recommend anyone to go there.     After several attempts (1 1/2 years) and many phone calls and emails of having La-Z-Boy replace a poorly-constructed cocktail table I asked for a refund. They decided they would refund it. They said it was refunded. The credit was not on my charge card. Back to many phone calls and emails we get a credit, but not the amount paid for the table. Disputed with the credit card and tried working with La-Z-Boy. Now La-Z-Boy tells me that is all I'm getting back in credit. Will never shop La-Z-Boy again. DO NOT SHOP AT La-Z-Boy!     My boyfriend and I have a reclining sofa and chair combo that he purchased in 2011. In 2013 it got a small rip in the leather, which we blamed the dog for. We bought a home repair kit and repaired the small rip and it looked pretty good. We no longer allowed the dog on the couch and it was fine for about two months. However, soon after that, the couch and the back of the chair started literally disintegrating. We realized the leather was just detaching from the backing, regardless of what we did. It got so bad that we had to vacuum up pieces of it almost daily and cover it because it is horribly embarrassing.

    We went to the La-Z-Boy store and were told it was out of warranty- no help. We called a leather repair guy who said it was more expensive to repair at that point than it would be to just buy a new one. He said he has refused to even work on these couches and chairs because he has watched them fall apart immediately after repair. The local Goodwill won't even take them at this point because they can't do anything with them. So they will, unfortunately, take up space at a landfill once we can afford to replace them.

    We bought a sectional (chaise and recliner) in a leather-like fabric, it has been in the house since September of 2014. When we were shopping for our couch we mentioned several times that we have pets that get on the furniture and we were assured that this fabric would be a better option than leather. This fabric is flaking off around the seams and is very noticeable. When we noticed it I contacted La-Z-Boy and a technician came to inspect my claims, he took photos and after a few weeks they called me and said they could fix it but it would be $600. I spent about $2,000 on the couch in the first place. I don't want to get it fixed for it to then happen again. I guess I am disappointed that I was told this fabric would hold up with dogs in the house better than leather would. If I would have known this back then I would have just bought a cheap fabric.

    I purchased 2 sectionals from La-Z-Boy 20+ years ago and found the furniture to be good quality. I recently returned to the Rancho Cordova store and couldn't wait to escape. The sales lady was pushier than a used car salesman. I went to the Roseville store and a very professional and helpful salesperson assisted me. I wasn't sure the measurements would work in our space. The salesperson said it would be easier to place the order and give him my credit card info at that time and if after measuring I could cancel within 3 days.

    The size didn't work so I cancelled on the 2nd day and was told the credit card probably wasn't charged but if a charge did go through it would be automatically credited in the next day or two. Fortunately I had the manager send an email showing the 0 balance. Weeks later I noticed my card was in fact charged and never credited. After days of back and forth phone calls it turned out their bookkeeping people never put the credit through. It was an exhausting experience and I'm not at all confident they would have caught their error had I not brought it to their attention.

    I purchased this couch and loveseat a little over 3 years ago. It has not held up at all and now has a rip. Of course because it's out of warranty and showing wear, it is not being covered.     I bought an entire living room suite from Trevor ** at the store in Nepean Ontario. Trevor is wonderful and I'd buy from him again. The set cost nearly $9000. I've never owned new furniture before, paid cash, waited, it arrived and we loved it. We ordered and paid in July, it was delivered in September 2015. In February 2016, out of nowhere, we heard what sounded like a spring make a very big bang. I contacted Trevor who said the service coordinator would contact me - it took a week. I had a gut feeling something was 'very wrong' so we didn't sit on it. It was 12 days from my initial contact to Trevor to when the repair man arrived (Al from Fibrenew). The night before Al arrived I left another message with the service coordinator stating that "I'm quite sure this sofa will need to be replaced, and I'd like/need a loaner-sofa." No return call.

    Al was excellent. He couldn't believe his eyes - he said he'd never seen such a mess on a new sofa in his 26 yrs of furniture repair. He called the service department and recommended a loaner and a replacement. The service coordinator still didn't return my calls - and I had to call 2 more times. When she finally called back she said it would be at least 2 weeks before a loaner-sofa can be delivered, and 10-12 weeks until we get our replacement sofa. There are 2 adults and 2 children living in our house - and we don't have a safe sofa to sit on. I so believe that La-Z-Boy does have excellent quality in its products - and I think we just got a "lemon" with this sofa.     The sales rep at La-Z-Boy was very informative. She went through the whole process with me and I appreciated that. I've had the first delivery and the second one scheduled. During the first delivery, the delivery team moved my old furniture out where I asked them to and they brought the new ones in. They were very conscientious. However, I'm not quite as happy with the furniture as I should be. The sofa does not seem to be the same quality as what we saw or sampled at the showroom floor. I also didn't expect the rockers that we got to be loud when we took them from the upright position back down to the regular position. When I pull the handle on the side to lower the feet, I get a popping noise every time. And I've never had that happen before. We've had La-Z-Boy furniture for 17 years.

    I said I'm going to get some new furniture and took some of my retirement pay. My husband and I went from store to store and were looking for a glider, recliners and swivel. When we said this, the reps at La-Z-Boy said, "Make sure you see we can put the base on it to make it whatever you want.” I was floored. I thought to myself that they need to make more commercials that say they could do this. My nephew bought a chair at Ashley because it was the only one they had. Now he’s mad because he didn’t know he can go to a La-Z-Boy and pick any furniture he wanted.

    We went back to La-Z-Boy and a young man approached us and offered to help us. We took him over to the chairs and he told me “If you want yours to go a little bit higher each time, you have to get a swivel rocker. It would recline three different ways.” But my husband said he likes the glider. The young man sat in another chair smiling and waiting for us to make up our mind. We decided that my husband will get his and I'll get mine, but it's going to be the same chair and the same color. We had fun.

    The first day we went at the store, a lady we talked to spoke about putting memory foam in the sofa. So when we went back, I was carrying the cushion around and trying to match up. The young man said they had swatches of material there so I don't have to carry the cushion around. He made it easier. When we talked about the memory foam, he said we didn't need it in the sofa because they unzip and we could fluff it up. We ordered the sofa and the chairs because we really felt comfortable with our choices. We got the stain-resistant treatment too. It’s the first purchase for us at La-Z-Boy. When we got home, I thought the chairs needed memory foams. So I called back the next day and asked if we could do that. They said to come in and refill out the paperwork again. And we’re fine.

    The only problem was we were not given all the information on the first day. We got bits and pieces from the lady and then some more from the young man. If we had all the information, we would have bought the items on the first day. Other than this, the delivery was really nice. The guy even showed us how to lock the one base so it doesn’t glide. I love the quality of our purchase. I trust it. When I first sit down on the chair, I'm like, “Oh my god, this is hard as a rock.” And then count to ten and, “Oh, okay. This is good.”

    My wife and I was going to buy a new couch and love seat set. I wanted a recliner. We decided to go with the couch and love seat with power recliners built in. We also wanted to support a US company so, we went with La-Z-Boy. The local store was great and did all they could but, the manufacturer was not. Less than a year the cushion stuffing in the couch was compressed to the point where it felt like we were sitting on a wood frame. We called the store and complained and they did send someone out to restful the couch. The love seat is not used very often so, no problem there but the couch is used daily. It is less than another year and the same issue again and La-Z-Boy will do nothing about it. When the first guy came I told him to double stuff but he would not. Less than 2 years and $6000 dollars later and I'm looking to replace the units. I'll never buy La-Z-Boy again and advise anyone else to keep looking!!! I guess US made might not be worth the effort.

    Updated on 04/20/2016: The reason of this review is that only a portion of the responses are posted publicly. Where La-Z-Boy said they would contact me shortly, they did online of this website. They advised they would do nothing because their warranty period of one year had expired and 30 day warranty of their attempt to fix had expired. So, my advice is to stay away from La-Z-Boy furniture, they do not back it up with quality nor satisfaction. They sell it to you, then attempt to fix it once, then say tough.

    We owned a La-Z-Boy that held up well for many years of continuous use. It was always the favorite chair in the house. We decided that the only chairs we would buy to replace it was with two La-Z-Boy rocker recliners. The action on the new chairs is smooth. The headrest does not push the head too far forward as many do. Support is firm on the back but not too much. The old chair still worked well but the fabric was getting worn and it was an outdated green color. The new chairs are classic black leather. We will probably have to put them in our wills.

    I bought a La-Z-Boy about five years ago from a furniture store that was going out of business, and that was the first one I had. When you have back and neck troubles and lay on the sofa and watch TV, then you’re so sore when you go to bed and you can’t sleep. I got a La-Z-Boy and after that, I never had the back and neck problems laying on the sofa and when I go to bed, I can sleep. So as soon as my La-Z-Boy was dying I thought, “I have got to go get another La-Z-Boy.” So I went and bought two. They were on sale and I got such a good deal.

    The sales rep at La-Z-Boy was very nice. We went in and I looked around for a little while. She was with another customer but as soon as she was free, she came over to me. She went almost through the whole store with me, with me sitting down and then explaining some of the ones that had memory foam and electronics. She was very well-informed and wasn’t pushy. I’d been there before and there was a guy there that wouldn’t leave me alone such that I couldn’t complete a thought. But this lady was amazing. I knew that I was going to buy one that day so it was a different experience.

    My furniture was delivered and I couldn’t be here, but I had my sister here. They came in and set them up. It’s taking me a little longer to get used to this one but I like it fine. The quality’s really nice. However, where they do the lift at the feet, I don’t think the lift bars are as sturdy as they used to be but it’s comfortable. I had leather before and decided to get fabric this time. They’re both really nice and I like them a lot. I now have two decent ones and may go back to La-Z-Boy and get a couple more because I’m adding onto my house.

    The quality of the product was really emphasized when I purchased 2 La-Z-Boy recliners. Within one year the leather was showing wear but I didn't immediately return to the store, so there was no warranty. See pictures of chairs 6 year later. I can only guess where the leather covering was made. I called La-Z-Boy and told them about our chairs. They told me I should wipe them with water and mild soap which I have been doing on a regular basis. Then they told me I should be using distilled water for cleaning because it may be the chlorine in the water that was damaging the leather. There are holes in the leather. I'm not buying their excuse since there would not be significant amount of chlorine in a damp cloth to destroy good quality leather. Buyer Beware!

    Date of purchase, 10/24/14. Chair was actually delivered on 12/18/14. A spot appeared on back of headrest and that was repaired. We later noticed the arms of chair started to show the backing of fabric through the surface. We feel the fabric is defective or extremely poor quality. After spending over $1600 - we didn't expect the fabric to show wear after ONE year! Got no help from Clearwater store. Corporate headquarters said it was independently owned!!! Headquarters said they would send us arm covers. We received foot square pieces of fabric that don't stay on arms!

    At this point I think we need a lawyer! I'm embarrassed at the way the chair looks! And unfortunately my husband 82 years need it! He is the Mayor of our town of Belleair and frequently has guests over and is ashamed at the way his chair looks. Previously we purchased chairs from that store but they were leather not fabric. The chair we gave away looks better than the lift chair we purchased!

    My husband and I stopped in because due to health condition I cannot sit comfortably with my feet dangling and now have trouble pushing the foot rest down. My husband's La-Z-Boy chair is also getting worn. I found a chair that my feet touched the floor when I sat and had push buttons for the footrest! So we decided to get two chairs. Mine was delivered today and it will take six weeks for my husband's as we wanted matching fabric. The chair delivered to me is not fitted to me like the chair in the showroom. My feet dangle. My husband wanted heat and massage. When we got home we noticed that my husband's chair is push button footrest also.

    The sales associate neglected to tell my husband this fact. I will be returning my chair this weekend as my husband cannot miss work this week. I am very apprehensive that my husband's chair will not be as comfortable as the one he sat in as power recliners due tend to be hard seated. Although the fabric is "stock brown" and I am sure it has not been started yet, we cannot put a hold on it in case I cannot find another chair that fits me when we return this one. We have been La-Z-Boy customers for forty years. This will be our fourth set of recliners. It will be our last and I will be sure to warn our friends and family to sit on their furniture before signing to accept it.

    When my son moved out, we gave him a lot of our old furniture and we decided to buy new ones from La-Z-Boy - an ottoman pillow, tables, cabinets and accessories, rugs, sleeper sectional and a recliner. The sales reps were helpful, knowledgeable and was able to find a common ground. My husband and I were on two different pages and having a consultant come to the house helped to have both of us in the room. They listened to us well. Our only concern is the timeline from start to finish. We had an appointment in the showroom. Then, we had an appointment at home. Then, we went back to the showroom again. There's a lot of time between each one for scheduling. Still they're great and I'm happy with everything but we started this process in the beginning of February and I don't think we're gonna have the furniture until May. We are at the waiting period and they told us that it would take six to eight weeks. But so far, so good.

    My wife and I purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy about three years ago. We went to the store with the intent of getting a leather product, but the local sales representative made a persuasive pitch for their reconstituted leather option called RENEW. She convinced us the product was a "more sustainable choice" and "even better than leather". I should mention that we were not looking for a less expensive alternative to real leather, but there was a small price advantage, so why not?

    Needless to say: about six months ago this product started peeling-off like cheap vinyl. I have since learned that the reconstituted leather component is nothing more than a thin layer that has only a small fraction of leather in it. Both the local and national customer service representatives now claim this to be a "fabric warranty issue" which is limited to 12 months. Therefore we now have a four thousand dollar piece of junk in our living room that will have to be re-upholstered or thrown away. Worst of all though is the feeling of having been duped by a cheap and misleading brand. We will never buy ANYTHING from La-Z-Boy again.

    My doctor said that I needed a Lift chair so a La-Z-Boy was bought for me. We went to a La-Z-Boy store where Suzanne, my daughter-in-law, is a sales rep and purchased the Lift chair from her. It's beautiful and I love it. I'm 5'0" and weigh about 120 lbs. As soon as you walked in, there were girls there to see what you needed. Suzy made me try different chairs until we found one that was small enough and would support my neck, lower back and something that would not make my legs way stretched out. It was paid for on a Saturday and delivered on a Tuesday. The delivery team was very courteous. They even showed us how to move everything up and down and also made sure that it wouldn't hit a wall.

    It was a wonderful experience. Even my Chihuahua loves it because she can get up with no problems. La-Z-Boy is a perfect place because they cater to everybody until they feel comfortable with the furniture. So I definitely would recommend it and go back to Suzy and that La-Z-Boy store if I need another furniture. In fact, my sisters and I are going back next week. My mom had a stroke and we will be ordering another Lift chair because she is also 5'0" 120 lbs. So we're going to take the same chair but in a different color.

    Bought a cool oddly shaped tray. When I looked at it at home, I noticed it was missing a leg and not balanced. I called the manufacturer, Palecek and found out that La-Z-Boy's sale price is much higher than Palecek suggested retail price. I called La-Z-Boy and they said it was an "as is item, clearance" it was only 20% off. So after digging deeper, it appears that all items (trays, bowls, statues, decor pieces) even if bought at full price are considered "as is". So basically everything in the store is always clearance and final sale even if you get no discount. I will not return as they ask premium prices with flea market service. When I spend money, I do like good customer service, that's what motivates me to return. The store did finally offer to take it back, but I don't like pulling teeth. Hope this helped.

    We bought a swivel reclining chair in 2011. A month ago they sent a survey asking how it is. That's fantastic! Usually a company asks within a month which is good for initial happiness but useless for durability. Our chair is still functioning and looking good. We also have a La-Z-Boy reclining leather chair passed to us from parents which is about 30 years old and it, too, still functions and sits well.     Chair was delivered 11/11/15. Chair broke 11/21/15. Contacted store on 11/29/15. Told to call customer service the next business day. Called 11/30/15, but technician was not available until 12/10. Technician said parts had to be ordered and should take about 4 weeks. Called Customer Service on 1/20/16 and was told parts were in. Appointment scheduled for 2/1/16. No technician came, so contacted Customer Service again on 2/1/16 and was told no appointment had been scheduled. Also was told that some of the parts were not in, but they would send an email to check on status. Was told that they should have a response in 5 days and would call me. On 2/17/16 I called them and was told that there was no response to the email and that they would send another. I asked to be contacted in 48 hours about the status of the parts. To date I have heard nothing. I don't think it is realistic for me to have a new chair that is unusable.

    They are comfortable recliners especially for short leg and comfort. I feel I should have order two swirl chairs instead of one. My mistake. We are enjoying them very much and I would highly remind them. (My dogs try to get on them and they hear me coming and they are off in a flash. I told them mommy knows by their body heat, I block them off all the time with my grand-daughter's toys.) We had a La-Z-Boy swirl recliner for at least 25 years or better, but the fabric wore out on the seat and the arm rest. It was hard to part with it. Even though the wearing is there my daughter wanted it and put a cover over it. The fabric did not come apart, I just felt it was time to get replace them now.

    We've decided to replace our old La-Z-Boy furniture at home since it's 20 years old already. Their sales representative has been helpful but not intrusive. They told us the things we needed to know, gave us the space we needed to decide things, and it was very pleasant. We've already placed an order but so far, we haven't gotten anything yet. The fabric is on back order so we don't really have a delivery schedule yet. We expect to get the furniture someday. And exactly as what we expected from La-Z-Boy, we had a good process. But if they offered the upholstery service, which they should, we would love to have kept our old La-Z-Boy furniture because those are still in excellent condition with cushions and only the fabric had given way.

    We got a recliner and sofa from La-Z-Boy. They were a bit pricier than some other brands that we were considering, but highly recommended so we gave it a shot. However, we ended up going to two La-Z-Boy stores. We had a terrible experience at the first store near our home because the salespeople didn't want to help us. They just pointed us to all directions. One of them was even on the phone with her boyfriend the whole time. Since we liked a couple of products, we went to a different store where the salespeople there were amazing and the designers were awesome. They made it really easy for us. We had the designer come out to our house and help us decide on what to do. The furniture came earlier than anticipated too. The delivery was last week and it was wonderful. So far, we're happy with the quality of our purchase. I still need to figure out the tension adjustment on the recliner, though, since it moves a little bit easier that I would like it to.

    I am very pleased having gone to La-Z-Boy for my current furniture. The salesman I had was Thomas. He was very kind and patience with myself and Joe. Joe is in a wheelchair due to a stroke. I came to La-Z-Boy because I had seen in your advertising a recliner that could be operated to assist someone from a standing position to a sitting position and of course the reverse. After explaining to Thomas what types of furniture I was interested in viewing he quickly took us to the product I wanted and very patiently explained and demonstrated the chair, helping Joe to be able to sit and stand. I also was looking for a small sofa and Thomas showed me a chair and a half that also made out into a single bed. The absolute piece of furniture I needed for my apartment. I also purchased one other recliner that rocked and reclined.

    Thomas was very good at explaining product that I could purchase to cover my furniture in case of staining. He also explained how the delivery personnel would bring my furniture and assembly it for me. Joe and I are so very pleased with the furniture and Thomas' assistance and the two wonderful young men who delivered my furniture and assembled it for me. We are looking to move to a larger apartment and when we do we will be coming to La-Z-Boy again to see what you have for dining rooms. I happily tell and show the other residence my beautiful furniture and coax them to go to your store. You make a wonderful product, don't ever stop! Thank You.

    Bought 2 leather recliners in November 2014. 15 months later they are BOTH coming apart at the footrest. Called and talked to place we bought them from and they told us to call a lady in this area that fixes these chairs but we are going to have to pay to have fixed. Called La-Z-Boy and was told it would cost 100 dollars a chair. This is not right. 15 months later having to have them repaired out of our pocket is not right. When we purchased the chairs we had to get a replacement for one of them just a few days after cause it had a bad place on it. The chairs are exactly alike. We are seniors and don't make this kind of money. This is happening on both chairs on both sides.

    On Sunday January 17th I purchased a rocker recliner from your Niles, OH store. When I purchased the chair I had the sales manager Ashley ** write on the contract and initial it that I had 3 days to return the chair if I wanted to because this was off the floor and normally you have a 30% restocking fee. On Tuesday January 19th I tried to return the chair for a refund. The store manager Kristen ** abruptly told me that you don't take any chairs back without a 30% restocking fee. I told her that Ms. ** had given me three days to return the chair with no fees and showed her the initialled contract. I also said that there was some pulling of the thread where the seam is sewn and that I wanted to return the chair for a full credit as was promised. She then called Ms. ** and upon returning said I damaged the chair and would not take the return.

    I said the chair was not damaged in any way, and that the thread that was pulling was probably from use that it had in your store. She wouldn't even look at the chair. I then asked to talk to her boss. Kristen called her boss and upon returning said I damaged the chair and would not take the return, but her boss offered to replace the chair with a new one that they had to order. I said "I don't want a new chair. I want my money back as promised", in which she responded "I'm not risking my job by giving your money back". I said I wanted to speak directly to her boss and she refused. I then called the customer care number she provided and they said they would look into it. It quickly became clear that I would get no resolution at the store.

    Upon returning home I called your customer care center again and asked to speak to a supervisor. They put Denada on the phone and I explained the situation to her. She said she would check into it and call me on Wednesday, which she did. She said spoke to Ms. ** and that they would not take the chair back without a 30% restocking fee, but would replace the chair.

    At this point I realized that there was not going to be any fair resolution for me in this matter. I then said I would take the new replacement chair and asked her to have the store manager send me an e-mail that the chair was ordered. On Friday January 22nd I called your customer care again and asked to speak to Denada. She was on the phone and the representative asked what I needed. I explained that I had not received an e-mail from the store that the new chair was ordered, and she said she would send the store another e-mail. It's now Tuesday morning January 26th and of course no e-mail.

    I would like for you to look further into this matter. I believe as a customer I've been treated quite unfairly by your company. Your store should take back this chair and refund all my money as agreed. I would appreciate a response on this matter as soon as possible. To date no response at all. This is the worst lack of customer service I've ever seen, and potential buyers at this company should be warned. Read the negative reviews online before shopping at this company.

    Updated 3/16/2016 - La-Z-Boy sent me a response to my review on Feb 17th and basically were no help in this matter, as they said they had no control over their franchisee. Fortunately I charged the purchase of the chair I bought and the credit card company intervened and made them take back the chair and credit my account because the store had given me three days to return the chair and then reneged on what they agreed to. I want everyone to be aware of this company's policies and be careful buying from this company.

    They basically will not take back any furniture you purchase without a 30% restocking fee. They give you 3 days to cancel an order only for an in stock item, only they never have any in stock items, so you're always subject to the restocking fee. Please read the negative reviews online before shopping at this company. I wish I had. This is a company culture to disadvantage the customer, and their customer service is never any help. So be careful shopping at this company.

    I think 2-3 months to repair some cheap piece of expensive junk is a bit ridiculous. I would never buy La-Z-Boy again and am so glad we still have the other $2000, and did not buy the second one. I would recommend staying away from La-Z-Boy products. I think it is time for a Youtube video explaining the problem.

    We purchased a couch/recliner, $2000 plus. It seemed nice in the showroom. In under 5 months, we have mechanical problems. The recliner legs will not go in. (So they stick out.) It took 3 weeks to get someone out here with a flashlight to tell us the couch need new parts because they are bent. Then the mechanic gave us a lecture about they are designed to only take the weight of legs. He then left the legs out so we have to step over them to use the couch and handed us the good news. We must wait 4 to 6 weeks to get the parts in and then they can reschedule the repairs.

    Meanwhile the recliner legs are out in the way and we must wait. Shannon at Tualatin said that that is the way it is and I can call corporate and complain but it will do no good to talk with her. She must get a lot of these calls as grumpy as she is. Shannon, I will call corporate as you suggested. I also will never buy La-Z-Boy again. About 3 months after we bought this we ordered the matching one. Well when we started having neck aches from the large pillow pad at the top, which holds your chin to your neck so you are not able to look up without discomfort. I think over time it has given us chronic neck pain.

    So the neck pain and the cheap metal used in the recliner that should've lasted a reasonable amount of time (more than 3 months). The poor service by R&L Mech. (we waited 3 weeks and a 2 hour window for service and this guy gave us 5 minutes of his time and no explanation). Then to top it off, Shannon the grumpy - call corporate accountant at Tualatin store. I am just lucky we cancelled the delivery of the other matching couch recliner. Go to your basic furniture store and save money. You get the same thing as paying double for expensive La-Z-Boy junk.

    Please don't buy anything from this La-Z-Boy store. We bought a couch that we thought would last a long time. After 2.5 years, the cushions started cracking and then parts started flaking off. La-Z-Boy will not do anything about it because it is out of warranty. You expect it to last a lot longer than 2.5 years. They don't make the good stuff like they used to.     I needed a good quality recliner and have known for many years that LA-Z-BOY makes good quality product. What I didn't know was how many styles and fabric choices La-Z-Boy has to offer. Arriving at London's La-Z-Boy store I was greeted by a friendly smiling gal who showed me where product in my size and price range were. I spent a few minutes looking until I saw a chair that looked like it would be perfect. I sat down and knew immediately that I'd found my chair.     My cats destroyed my old furniture with their claws so I purchased a recliner and a chair from La-Z-Boy. I was very pleased with the sales rep. He was a very intelligent, courteous and friendly person. However, there was a little bit of a problem with the delivery. They had phoned me they were on their way so I went up to the lobby because I live in a security building, to let them in without a hassle. I saw them pull up and one person lifted the chair off of the truck's tailgate.

    The first young man got on the ground and lifted it off, but the second young man stayed on the tailgate. He bent over and lowered the recliner as far as he could and dropped it the last few feet. That bothered me because the recliner is motorized and has actuators and dropping them wasn't a good thing. But they were very nice young men and so kind to take my old chairs out to the dumpster right behind the building. When they came in, I checked the recliner and it seemed to be working fine. I haven't had any problems with the actuators or the mechanics of it operating on its power system. I was very pleased with the quality of the recliner.

    The chair is another matter. I'm a very short person so chairs that are deep don't work for me at all. I can't reach the back of the chair with my back and my feet end up dangling so I need a smaller chair with a small front to back of the chair. I found one on the showroom floor, it was a beautiful jazz chair. It was a multi-color of turquoise, very comfortable and I fell in love with it. But the problem was it was like a triple-laced silk and the cats would have it destroyed in a week. The sales rep told me that the exact same chair was available at another store but made of leather. I was okay with that because my cats don't like the feel of leather and don't scratch it. He also told me that it was scratch resistant and the cushion was reversible so it's great.

    However, when it was delivered, there were three things wrong with the chair. One of the front legs on the chair is either not screwed in right or the hole is too big, because the leg on the chair doesn't sit square. It keeps turning. Worse than that, the seat cushion is not reversible even when the sales rep said it would be and that is really annoying. When I sit in it, the dimensions are bigger than the one I sat on in the showroom and I can't reach the back of the chair, I have to put a pillow behind my back to get anywhere close to it. So, it's quite bothersome that the chair they delivered is not the same as what was represented and sold to me and for that I'm very dissatisfied.

    I like La-Z-Boy and know a lot of people that have them. My daughter has them and she liked them. I'm sure when I go back to the store that the person who served me will make it right. Although I'm a little concerned because when I bought the chairs, I had to sign some paperwork and it was a full page or more of fine print so I have a little bit of a concern that La-Z-Boy is not going to stand behind its product. However, the person who took care of me at the store was so outstanding that I feel that if it's not right, he'll make it right. I haven't had an opportunity to go back to the store yet because I got sick and can't even leave the house. But I'm coming out of this attack, and so I'll get back down to the store to resolve this issue.

    I was pleased with my original purchase... People and products were good. But I do have one Negative. Just a few days after the furniture was delivered. I called the store and said I loved the loveseat and wanted to order the chair. The Greyson in COPPER with the power recliner. I was told that the color Copper was no longer available. They couldn't fill the order. My question is why didn't they tell me that the Copper was being discontinued... I would have order with the original purchase. They said they would check to see if they could find some elsewhere but I never heard from the sales people. If there is a next time, I will make sure I ask that question about the material. I feel like they did not care if I ordered a chair or not... A call would have been nice.

    The store experience was very good. No hard sell or pushy sales. The chair we chose is nice, soft and comfortable. The only negative is that you had to go online to get the final setup info. That was sort of a hassle when it was only a sentence or two more that could have easily fit in the booklet.

    I've recently purchased chairs, a sectional, an ottoman and some accessories from La-Z-Boy. Their staff were good, knowledgeable and very helpful in putting pieces together. Half of these items have already been delivered. The delivery crew was nice but there are two pieces of the furniture that were broken. They took one piece back and they've shipped another piece to me. Now we're waiting on the other one.

    On Saturday February 13, 2016, at around 3:45 pm my wife and I visited your Nashua, NH store. Unfortunately, it was a waste of time as we were in the store for over 20 minutes and not one employee greeted us or even acknowledged us. We walked around the whole store twice, not one person acknowledged us or even said they are busy and will get to us next. My wife wanted to buy me a leather chair for my birthday but to no avail as none of your employees greeted us or made us want to buy a product from there. We had driven out of our way, as the store is about an hour away from us to buy a chair and not one under $1,000 either.

    We left obviously not wanting to waste any more time. After leaving I decided to call the store and make it known to the manager on duty of the lack of attention prospective customers received. Well it gets better. The store is open but the phone just rings and after many rings it goes to voicemail. If this is how they sell products wonder how the rest of the process goes. There is another review from 2013 on the same location that says the service is incompetent and rude. Guess nothing changes. With all the competition in this sector wonder why any company would allow that. Might as well just offer rides down the street to the other stores.
