    This is my FOUR YEAR OLD LA-Z-BOY RECLINER. Isn't it great? Well, it WAS.... The fabric they sold me has worn out completely on the seat. (I noticed something was wrong only two months ago and the hole is three times larger now....) We bought the GOLD warranty, and when I called yesterday the very nice manager said that if the seat had worn out in one year, they could have done something about it. But "after many years, wear is not covered". Although the manager sent a technician to look at their chair without charging me, the result is that I now have to pay to have them reupholster the seat - mismatched because the 4 year old fabric is discontinued. The technician, who used to work in the upholstering factory for 21 years, informed me that the fabric on my chair was too thin and would never have lasted.

    Ultimately it was the salespeople at the NORTHLAND location who are responsible for the death of my favourite seat. I have cheap, IKEA furniture older than my 13-year-old daughter that looks better than this $1000 chair. SO, I am informing the public - BUYER BEWARE. If you choose La-z-Boy, you choose to walk into a trap of charges that will not end for the life of your furniture. And yes, I will be posting and reposting all over the place.

    I had to replace a chair and I figured I would have a nice La-Z-Boy instead. They came on a timely basis and it was in the house before I knew it. They took care of me right away. The sales representatives were very good and the delivery team came very quickly and put the chair in, and off they went. The quality of the furniture is excellent.

    I had a stroke about six months ago and I need to sit up in the house a whole lot and I wanted something I knew I would sit better. We stopped by one La-Z-Boy store and saw some chairs then went back to get them but they had already sold them. They said they would have some more in a few weeks but we just bought the couch and went on to another store that had the leather Maverick chairs and bought two. So we actually got our latest La-Z-Boy furniture at two different places. The quality of the furniture is fine and they're expensive but when you sat on your ass a whole lot that’s what you need. The sales representatives were fine as well as the delivery team.

    We got a beach house and we had our old La-Z-Boy furniture put down there. The new La-Z-Boy couch of last year was bought from a store close by. We also had a couch that we took to the office. There was a new couch we bought that was hard and I didn’t like it to start with so I said I won’t buy or order any furniture that I didn’t sit on before. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience with La-Z-Boy.

    The quality of the sofa I was delivered is very poor. Several people sent to inspect it state it shouldn't be that way. The material has a nap but since it is all manufactured by machine the material can't be reversed so that the back looks like a different color from the front. The back pillows are also lumpy and uneven. I have been told that they should look better after about 6 months of use. If it isn't possible to fix it I requested a refund or a new couch. I have been told this is impossible and they can't remedy the situation. I can't even give this 1 star, the quality and service is so bad.

    The fabric we were shown is directional, though the swatch doesn't show it. When the chair came, the fabric looks like many different colors are in the fabric because of the shading differences due to the various direction of the fabric. Every seam seems dirty and dusty because of the shading. Were told today that this is the way it will look. Should have been told this at the time of purchase. Very unhappy with this purchase and the fact that nothing will be done about it. Have bought other LA-Z-BOY chairs in the past, but will never buy one again or recommend LA-Z-BOY to any friends. Feel like I threw $1,000 away.

    My furniture was worn out so I decided to get new ones. We got them from La-Z-Boy. The designer called when I was getting the furniture delivered. She told me she wanted to be there but she couldn't because she has some kind of restrictions for driving. But once that was lifted in about a week, she would come out and make sure that I was happy with my furniture and if I had any other thing I need her for. I thought that was really nice of her. The furniture was all wrapped up when it came to make sure that nothing would get damaged. The delivery was quick and easy as well. I'm very satisfied with La-Z-Boy. They had good customer service. It wasn't about just getting a sale but making sure I was happy with it.

    I've purchased chairs from La-Z-Boy in the past and have had their furniture in my home for about 20 years. But the old stuff was raggy and it was time to buy new ones so I recently purchased a power recliner, a sofa and an ottoman. The salesperson was very straightforward and serious but professional. She sold me everything she could and upgraded them. Then the delivery guys were fantastic. I don't know where they found them but for all the stuff we've purchased these guys were excellent in their mannerism and how they brought it in. I also liked that it came in black wrappers because I have nosy neighbors. That was the best part of the whole thing and they were great. I picked up the ottoman myself at the local warehouse and also had a very good experience there. The quality of the products is good and the price is fair so you get what you pay for. I would do it again if I have more room.

    We have had our La-Z-Boy Sofa for 2 1/2 years. We ordered it through Davis Furniture in Palestine, Texas. There is just 2 of us, my husband, and myself, no kids or pets. The leather is falling apart. I've never been so disappointed in anything as I am in this leather. I realize there is only a 1 year warranty on leather, but nothing should fall apart as badly as this is, and this wasn't inexpensive. It is apparently cheap leather, at a high price. I am enclosing some pictures.

    I purchased a Designer's Choice collection chair. Within 6 months I started having problems. A "repair" was made but the problems quickly returned and then new ones arose. The chair is noisy and falling apart just a year after I purchased it. La-Z-Boy will not uphold the warranty that came with my chair. They do not respond to emails unless I request responses multiple times that take weeks. They are making up excuses to say my chair doesn't have a warranty when the paperwork I received when I bought it says these parts have a lifetime warranty. I am VERY disappointed with this purchase and with the lack of customer service I am getting. I spent the extra for better furniture - not only am I not getting quality furniture, I would probably get better customer service from a cheaper brand.

    Our old furniture was only two years old and it’s horrible already. My wife has purchased from La-Z-Boy before and knowing them as having quality furniture, we purchased again a sectional accessory, an ottoman, a dining room set and a sidebar from them. The sales rep we worked with has been awesome and she's very sharp and friendly. We’re having our house painted with a lot of the colors she suggested.     We moved into a new house so we needed a new furniture. The La-Z-Boy sales rep was very typical of somebody who was brand new - didn’t really know all of the policies up front and in terms of promotions. We went there on Memorial Day to take advantage of the 18 months promotion for zero interest. When we went to confirm our purchase of the sofa, he asked how we were going to pay for it and I said we'd be taking advantage of the promotion but it wasn’t until then that he told us that because we had done some customizing on the sofa that that wasn’t eligible for the financing, and so we had to pay more than what we were expecting upfront in order to get it.

    If we had known upfront that it wasn’t part of the promotion, we wouldn’t have gone through with that particular sofa. Someone more knowledgeable or training the staff a little bit more on the details of what’s eligible and what not would’ve probably made my experience a little bit more pleasurable. On the other hand, the delivery team was great. They were communicative and showed up when they said they were going to. They set everything up nicely and how we wanted them to.

    Also, the quality of the furniture is good and it's comfortable but I am a little concerned about some of the stitching - some threads come undone. I thought I had inspected it pretty well but it wasn’t until after they left that I noticed a pretty long thread was hanging in between the seats. That made me feel a little bit worried, especially since I know that they stressed that the threading isn’t really something that’s covered for free if I have them come out and take a look at it. At the very minimum, I’d expect this thing to last a year and I’m pretty sure it will. But if there’s a threading issue, that’s something that they should take a little bit more responsibility with. I haven’t called them to come out because I don’t want to pay for it.

    My husband’s got health problems. He’s 79 years old and he needs to have open heart surgery. Recently, he was in the hospital because he fell and broke his arm so it was hard for him to get up. I was going to buy him a lift chair because of the open heart surgery coming up. And now that he broke his arm, I might as well get it now. He wouldn’t have a recliner or a chair in his living room if it wasn’t La-Z-Boy. I know I can get it cheaper by getting another brand. But if I would get a lift chair and it wasn’t a La-Z-Boy, it just wouldn’t fly around here. And I knew better than to get anything but a La-Z-Boy.

    Their sales rep was very new. I had questions and if she could not answer them, she would go and would come back with an answer and was very helpful. I appreciated the way she handled being new at the job. I didn't like the color of the cover that they had in-store in Wisconsin and they told me I could order it. But I said my husband's coming home from the hospital so I need it now. They were good enough to look around to see who had the color that I wanted and it happened to be in Illinois. I purchased it on a Saturday and then on Tuesday it was delivered already. Everything’s great with the quality of the furniture. We haven’t had it that long and when my husband first got it, he didn’t know if he liked it or not. I said, “Good. ‘Cause if you don’t like it, I do.” But he’s claimed it now and it’s his chair.

    I spent over $4000 on a couch, chair and leather chair with ottoman. The chair and ottoman are on order. I get the couch and chair today with no rug. The guy doesn't apologize at all. Call the store and they left it there for me to pick up. I pick it up and they act like it's a problem for me to be there. I hate the rug and call back to see if I can exchange it and was told no! I have a good mind to return the furniture and go somewhere else where the customer is serviced and not them. Extremely dissatisfied!

    We have a new room and needed new furniture. I’ve always had good luck with La-Z-Boy, so I went back to them for a recliner and a love seat. The Joshua recliner was delivered first but when I used it, two screws fell out of the bottom. After I received my loveseat last week, I was calling the manager because I can’t get the one side to recline but even if I haven't heard from them yet, I believe I just happened to get something faulty and it’s not like it can’t be fixed. The delivery guys were wonderful. It has great quality and the fabric that I picked out of a swatch down there is exactly what I wanted. It's like a Florida room. Also, the tables that I got were absolutely gorgeous with it. They blend which is very nice. I'm very pleased and I love the way it looks.

    I was happy with my furniture but ended up having to have it repaired. They picked it up on 7/25 and called me on 8/4 to let me know it was repaired and they could not bring it to me until 8/24. But I could drive all the way across town and pick it up so I could have it sooner. When I called to complain about it I was told that they wait until their truck is full to deliver it. If they are not busy and the truck does not get full for 6 mos. I would have to wait that long to have my furniture returned. Not good customer service on La-Z-Boy's part. Sitting on the floor while my furniture is repaired is not good for this 60 yr. old body. The lady I talked to told me she was sorry I did not have any other furniture to sit on.

    How many people can afford to have more than a sofa, loveseat and recliner in an apartment. I even bought the big service plan for 3 yrs and this is the best they can do. At this point with this kind of customer service I would not recommend La-Z-Boy.

    Medical situations determined that we needed to get a La-Z-Boy and then they had 30% off over the Fourth of July weekend. I liked working with their salesperson and designer. They both have different perspectives on things. The designer also went and got the samples of the upholstery, so we didn't have to walk to the back of the store, since my husband is not up to walking much. She narrowed it down by asking us what we have and what we like. Her designer eye and the color selection were extremely helpful.

    But we weren’t interested in something off the floor. They had a nice selection on the floor to try out the different ones that they offered. They wrote it all up and they were very nice that we selected a recliner. And then the next day we went back and voided that and went with the Lift chair. It was a lot of work but they were very pleasant about it and everything.

    Since we were having a custom-made La-Z-Boy, they said to wait five to seven weeks, and then they called when it was finished and ready. They offered to deliver for the week that they called and we had to be available all day. They called ten minutes before, said they were on their way and that someone is here. They tried to get it in the doorway all in one, but then they had to set it on the porch and then they had to open up the bag. It was in two pieces, the back, and the front. So they could bring it in.

    All the features that we liked in the recliner were not available in the Lift chair. So I wrote the president of the company a letter that they had no selection on the armrest. You had to take the armrests that were all tufted, which is very hard to clean. In the Lift Chair, you had all these choices of armrests. Different styles, like curved or flat, but with a smooth material. They didn't have it all tufted. Then, no lumbar support, with extra padding, paying extra (which is okay), but you can't get it in the Lift chair. No extra neck support, which is extra padding at the neck that you could get in the recliner, but you can't get it in the Lift chair, which blows my mind. The width of the seat comes one way, where in the recliner you could get a little bit wider across the seat. The Lift chair, for something that's going to be custom-made in the factory, from scratch, none of these four features could be put into the recliner which is upsetting.

    One more thing that I didn't like was the control for the up and down comes right up out of the seat and it comes across the arm. So when you put your right arm down, you're putting it on the coiled up circular cord, because its right there, coming out of the seat into the armrest. On the other hand I feel it was fine for the 30% off. I wouldn't have paid that full price for it, though.

    We went with the extra guarantee and we bought the little box with the cleaning equipment. I read about it. But if anything doesn't work, it was $100 more, but then they guaranteed forever that they would come out and take care of the problem with the chair. The guarantee was a nice feature. However it should be automatic with a purchase. When you're purchasing a $2400 chair.

    Just before Memorial Day, 5/23/2016 my husband and I stopped by the local La-Z-Boy store in Pleasanton CA. because we wanted to update our family room furniture. Our salesperson was Tim **. He was very helpful and informative. We ended up buying 2 power recliners, a reclining sofa, two tables and two lamps. Total with tax approximately $7800. Your delivery people were timely and professional. Up to this point 5 stars. The two tables had some small nicks that needed touch up and one of the lamps rocks on the table because the bottom is not flat. Tim personally delivered the lamps and noticed the defective lamp himself.

    All concerns were relayed to Tim, our sales person, both on the day of delivery, once on the phone a week after initial delivery and again in person at the store when we stopped in to check on the delivery of a sofa table which we had purchased after our original purchase. Today is August 4th and no one has called us about touching up of the nicks on the two tables and no one has called regarding the replacement of the defective lamp. My husband will again call to see what can be done about these failures.

    I am very unhappy with the excessive wrinkles, shearing on the arm of the recliner where it meets the side of the chair. I have brought this to the attention of Adam ** and he tells me it is normal. I can expect some wrinkling but this is excessive. I have spoken with him a few times and we are at an impasse. Your company has spent a lot of time and money to stress quality products and this is not quality workmanship. He has shown me pictures of other chairs in the process of being made and they do have a few wrinkles but nothing like our chair has. As I look at the pictures in your ads of this chair, I see NO wrinkles. As I said, I am very unhappy with our purchase. I do wish I had financed this so I could hold payment to get someone's attention, but we paid cash. I will never shop La-Z-Boy again and will tell all that will listen not to also.

    My dissatisfaction concerns a back ordered (out of stock) end table which was only a portion of the entire order. The two powered leather love seats order, delivery, setup, and sales rep at the Alexandria, VA store went smoothly and I am very satisfied with that portion of the order. The order was placed in early June--"Table is out of stock"; they said "but will be available in 6 weeks; though it usually gets here in about 4". 4-6 weeks was a reasonable time so I agreed to wait. They said they would keep me updated--4-5 weeks passed, no phone call or update. I called the store--"Oh, that won't be in till mid September". When I indicated that was not acceptable, they said "I'll get hold of someone and get back to you". It's been weeks now and I am still waiting. If I had known it was going to be this long, I never would have paid for the back-ordered item. Not likely you will see me back in a La-Z-Boy store again.

    We’ve been buying the La-Z-Boy furniture for many years. I’ve even had the sofas re-covered after they were finally worn out and continued to use them. The quality is very good and we’ve been pleased. Also, La-Z-Boy is not overly expensive, they’re worth what we pay for them. I also had that remote controlled one. Something happened to it just recently. It stopped and it doesn’t work now, but I’m still managing with it. We recently bought another La-Z-Boy. My husband just had open heart surgery and he had a La-Z-Boy chair but it was very old and a very big one. My daughters thought he needed the one to help him get up because he wasn’t allowed to use pressure on his arm. Everybody had to help him until he got that new chair and it's been really good for him.

    I order a brand new chair from La-Z-Boy in May. I had to wait a month to get it. After the first skit made noise. It's been worked on 3 times and this will be the 4th time! I understand I had to order it bc they had only one in the store with paisley print. I didn't expect to have a chair that squeaks non stop every time they come to fix it! It's a faulty chair and they want to keep fixing it! It's not a old chair. Just bc I had to order it doesn't mean I have to deal with getting it fixed every two wks! I was told by someone in the store this would be the last time and they could get a new one and now I'm told that was a lie! That I am looked like a liar! You have the worst customer service ever! Stand behind your products! I've been looked at like I'm stupid and lie. I'm done with y'all. You don't treat someone that paid 1169 for a chair like this!

    We are very unhappy we took our loveseat over to the warranty service in Phx, Az. They said they would call when done. We did not get a invoice on our loveseat. They never called to say it was done. I finally called 2 weeks later. They told me that it was done and it ONLY took them 1 hr to fix. They rebuilt the left side of the loveseat. Ask if they went through it all to make sure NO other screws were missing. "Oh yes we sure did." Got ready to bring into the house and the screw on the right side still was missing. We could replace the screw ourself but that is not the point. They should of done it when they had it there like they said they would. This is very poor workmanship. We tell everyone La-Z-Boy is the only furniture to have. Don't know what we'll say now.

    I had a La-Z-Boy for about five years, but it didn't hold up and we threw it out. We were not very happy with the product. In addition to that, my brother had purchased two La-Z-Boy recliners and a sofa years ago, and the leather all peeled. They were very unhappy with it and La-Z-Boy wouldn't do anything for them. He also said that he would never buy another La-Z-Boy product.

    Now, my mother-in-law's friend had purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner and loved it, so my mother-in-law wanted to go to La-Z-Boy to look at the recliners. We took her and while I was there, I saw a rug hanging up, liked it very much, and purchased it. I'm very happy with it. The sales rep was very pleasant. My mother-in-law is 86 and she was still making up her mind, but he was very helpful and patient with her. It was a very pleasant experience. They had beautiful furniture in the showroom, as well as some beautiful paintings. The next time I'm in the market, I may go back and look at them.

    I try to refrain from posting negative reviews on a company. As a business owner myself, I know that people read these reviews and I try hard to make sure that the company has a resolution for me before ever posting something negative. This review needs a ZERO! I had to give it a 1 star to move on. In February 2014, I purchased over $5,000 dollars worth of furniture from LaZBoy at the Greenville, SC store.

    In July 2015, one of my couches frame broke and both of my reclining chairs broke at the foot rest. I contacted the company to find out that my "lifetime" warranty is not really lifetime at all. After paying $125 dollars times two for the service and waiting four months for the couch repair and waited until March 2016 to have the chairs completed I was hoping my issue was resolved.

    In May 2016 one of my chairs broke again! As a business owner, life is business and I waited until July to contact La Z Boy. After waiting a week for a phone call to be returned from my email inquiry, I was told that I would have to pay another $125 fee to have the already previously repaired chair repaired again! I asked to speak with a manager. She called back two days later and requested that I send her pictures of the broken chair. I did send the pictures via an email. It has been over 1 1/2 weeks and today I received a call back from the manager stating that she and another adviser has ruled my broken chair broken from abuse.

    Excuse me, I'm the only person that sits in MY chair. I'm 47 years old and not a young child or a teenager hopping on the furniture. I do what the chair is designed to do, SIT, PUSH BACK AND RELAX! After her listening to me rant at her for a bit, her response: "what can I do to help you?" "Well, you can not charge me again to repair a chair that you've already repaired!" Her response again, "no".

    This is my third set of La-Z-Boy furniture and I will never again dart the doors of a La-Z-Boy store. I will never again let them work on a repair on my chair either. I will hire someone to repair this chair or I'll set fire to it in the back yard and go buy me another chair from another store that might give better service! I'm trying really hard to refrain from using any bad language here, but if you people actually read this from La-Z-Boy... YOU SUCK! Have an awesome day!

    My old couch was hurting my back so I decided to purchase a new one. I recently purchased two sofas and a rug from La-Z-Boy. I was really impressed with their reps. I instantly felt comfortable talking with them. I explained that I wanted a quality furniture but was on a very strict budget. Tory instantly explained where I should focus and asked questions to see where my preferences were. She had me sit on a couple of sofas and asked what I preferred about each one of them. She was very helpful in getting me to the model that I would be happy with.

    She was incredibly knowledgeable about how the furniture is put together. I’ll pay $2,000 for a couch that doesn’t hurt my back but I'm not sure it won't hurt my back just by sitting on it five minutes in the store. So she explained how they’re made, why and what happens when they lose their shape, why couches and lumbar support are uncomfortable and why La-Z-Boy is different and priced differently than the other store furniture.

    I was very confident that was what she was telling me, and it wasn’t like she wanted the sale. She wanted me to be informed. Another thing that really impressed me was I ordered on April 26th and it was delivered on May 28. The time frame they told me was five to six weeks but I had it in four weeks. When she realized that my couch came in, she called me and she was all excited for me! She took really good care of me.

    We bought a couch with dual recliners nearly three years ago. Unfortunately the seat cushions for the recliner part doesn't last. When we bought the couch we were told we had a three year warranty on the cushions. That's why we weren't in a hurry to complain about the cushions. Today we called Customer Service and were told that we had only one year warranty on the cushions. You can bet this is the last La-Z-Boy product we will buy.

    Purchased a sofa, night stand with charger and end table with light. Day before delivery I'm told the night stand "did not make it on the truck". I was told I could pick it up or schedule another delivery for the night stand. As this was not the agreement both options were unacceptable to me. Why would I go pick up when I paid $99 for delivery or have to rearrange my schedule for another delivery on Wednesday when I was getting the sofa delivered on Saturday. Salesman offers to bring the night stand to me on Saturday. Ok, nice. He gets here and the night stand doesn't look right. Sure enough two very obvious scratches were on the night stand, no indication at all it's a new unit (tags). I believe it was the floor model that was being pawned off as a new unit. So here I am with no night stand that I've paid for and an end table that will take 6 weeks to arrive. Not a great experience so far.

    We had purchased furniture for our family room from La-Z-Boy twice before but we just went to the store and picked out something. We were pleased with them both times. The furniture lasted. The first one lasted 14 years and the second time it was only seven years but we felt we were ready for another change. In 2013, we moved to a new home so we were using furniture from our family room in the great room. The padding in our La-Z-Boy sofa cushions had worn out. It wasn’t as firm as we liked it. We were going to go to the store and look at some fabric swatches for the sofa and I told my husband that La-Z-Boy offered designer service. He was a little reluctant and he didn't want someone telling us what to use. But, we ended up working with the designer and at the end, he said he was glad we did.

    For the money we were spending, we wanted to get the most bang for our buck and have a nice coordinated look and I’m glad that La-Z-Boy offered that feature. She came out and saw our house, picked and recommended products that coordinated with the rest of the furniture in the house. She had an educated eye. It was more than just the fabric selection. She also helped us a lot in terms of making decisions and was a lot of fun to work with, too. She made it much easier because she was able to pull together coordinated pieces.

    We’re very pleased with our purchase and especially with her input. We ended up doing the whole room with end tables and entertainment center and even a coordinated rug to match. It's beautiful. We love it and we're excited about it. Being able to have someone come out to our home and recommend something that’s tailored to our particular taste is not something I could afford to do all the time but it sure made it a fun shopping experience.

    We had bought two couches before from La-Z-Boy. One was powered and one was not. One was for me because I’ve got COPD. And I figured that I can maneuver the powered one with my hand so I can adjust the head. But it did not suit my medical history, so they came and got it. We went back up and ended up getting two leather recliner chairs. And we’ve got a love seat.

    I wasn’t too happy when I just got my bill from the bank and then they didn’t help us with the second purchase. We were told that we will not be paying for anything that was sent back from those two couches. But I was charged $1,852.82 for the balance of the return and then we were charged again for the fabric care plus the delivery, which was $99. Also, I did not realize that La-Z-Boy has a signature stating that their furniture makes a noise when it reclines. And it’s like a mechanism that just flops down. I’m not pleased with that and with the merchandise that I received.

    So we talked to them and they sent out a guy who was very rude. I had talked to the customer service about him and they said that he had done this and that, and he did nothing that he said he was supposed to do. But he told me that that is the signature of La-Z-Boy furniture. And any furniture that I sat in out there did not make that noise. I told the guy that I never expected and I’ve never heard a furniture company having a signature stating that their furniture makes a noise.

    So I’m dissatisfied that they didn’t quite tell us everything about the noise coming from the furniture. And then when I recline it to lie down or relax in it, I have to push my feet up twice to bring the whole foot area out. Also if I had to get out of the recliner rocker in a hurry, I couldn’t do it because I have to wait for it to recline. So if I had my way about it, it would all go back. At first I thought I was getting some real good furniture and now I have to say no. I’ve always wanted to go into La-Z-Boy and buy their furniture for my breathing situation where I need it to elevate my head up. But now, I don’t recommend it to anybody. Unless you want it to show and that’s about it. But to use it for medical reasons, I would say no. You’re better off just staying in your bed.

    Delivery on furniture January 2016. Customer care contacted within a few days or hours of delivery date and more calls made after that. Table leg uneven. In home care rep tried to blame our floors but finally conceded to the fact that we needed a replacement. Have had 2 more delivery after that table and still don't have replacement. When in home care person was here the 1st time he told my husband that it wasn't his job to address out concerns with the cushions on love seat or sofa. Nobody got back with us. I went to store and looked at sofa on floor and was told by a designer to shove the cushions in firmly. The love seat has the brown/tan logo fabric showing when cushions are placed to the far back. We shopped and sat on our furniture many time before making purchase. I have never had such an uncomfortable piece of furniture.

    Today we figured out how the scratch got on our new flooring. To our horror there was a nail in the leg of the love seat. It has placed several gouges in the floor and also some VERY deep scratches. I was then told by one of your customer care managers that furniture was to NEVER be scooted on the floor. It should ALWAYS be lifted. Geez nobody told me that as your in store agents sold me on the high quality of La-Z-Boy and told me how much quality I was getting. Love the stain guard demo, that is a joke too. My recliner is in horrible shape.

    I was assured by the designer that it would be fine. All associates and designers knew that we have 2 cats and 2 dogs and needed fabric to live up to our household demands. I am just sick about my floor and my furniture. I resent the fact that your rep talked to me like I was stupid and that the nail/screw that was bent by the way, would have never have scratched the floor. I have a service appointment scheduled for the 20th of August. I hope there will be resolve with my floor and my furniture soon.

    I had a Scandinavian chair that was too low to the ground for me as I'm getting older. I need something that was a little higher up and easier to get out of so I purchased a La-Z-Boy power recliner. The sales representatives explained the product and warranty but I have an issue with the warranty right now. There's a little tear in the chair's leather on the back, which occurred after I got it because it's electronic, but I haven't gone out or turned it in yet. It's not supposed to go up against the wall but apparently, it got close when it was reclining. Nonetheless, I'm fine with it and I think it's high quality. It was a pleasant experience.

    Overall the delivery went smooth except for trying to get the sofa thru the front door. Even though the guys were able to remove the door, they still had trouble. As a result a one-inch nick was left on the back padding where someone would sit. The location when facing the sofa is on the right-hand side. After a few weeks a repairman was sent. He had to order a color match & returned 2 weeks later. He did the best he could but it is still visible.

    The furniture we ordered was exactly what we ordered but the desk came w/ a chip out of it and a lamp was back ordered.     I bought a recliner for my husband from La-Z-Boy, and though I'm happy with the service I received, I'm not 100% happy with the product because I think that the back part of the chair should have more stuffing on it. It's an expensive chair and the back is already going flat, although we hardly sit on it. I'm going to take it to an upholstery shop to restuff the furniture. I never expected it for the kind of money we've paid for. I've had much better and paid a lot less.

    I purchased 2 chairs from La-Z-Boy last year. One of them has discolored on the headrest and arms. I called to have it checked out and the man that came out to see the furniture said it was our fault. (If it is our fault why not on both chairs.) So they would not do anything about it unless I pay for the repair. He also told his office that I told him I had used soap & water on the chairs to clean them and that was an out & out lie. I called to speak to a boss and they said she was in their warehouse and she would call me when she came back. That was 2 days ago. They said since I did not use their leather product on the chair my warranty was null and void. If anyone does business with them be sure you get everything in print for your warranty.

    The manager of the store was also the salesperson and she told us we could use any leather cleaner on the chairs at the time we purchased them. Now I find out we could only use theirs. I know that they used to give out small kits to clean your products with and they had a problem with them taking the color out of the leather so they don't give those out any more.

    Purchased a leather recliner - the "Rowan" - in November 2014. Love the chair's comfort and looks. Unfortunately, after it was barely a year old (just after the warranty expired), the material on the sides of the cushion (which is not real leather, apparently), started to fail/separate/split. Now, the chair has no less than 4 large splits in the material and I was just quoted nearly $300 to repair it. The chair wasn't abused in any way, so I'm supremely disappointed that it hasn't proved more durable. We've had several La-Z-Boy chairs in my family over the years, and I bought this one because they had always been so dependable. I would have been better off buying a really cheap chair at this point as I can't imagine spending another $300 on this chair with no confidence that the exact same thing won't happen again another year from now. Really disappointed in this.

    I just finished remodeling the house. We went to La-Z-Boy and purchased a sofa, sleeper sofa, and recliners. The two fellows that delivered the furniture were outstanding. However, I’m a little disappointed with the two blue rockers that we got. It seems like they’re wearing already on the arms and seats and we've only had them for about three months. I’m waiting to see what happens with the rest of it but we haven’t talked to them yet. Another issue is we didn’t measure enough for a kitchen table so it ended up a bit too long. It was a learning experience but a good one. There wasn’t a lot of stressful "you-gotta-buy-this, you-gotta-buy-that" stuff and they provided assistance with an interior decorator, which helped a lot.

    We purchase and reviewed the attached recliner from La-Z-Boy on 12/18/2014, however as you can see with the attachment the cording on the arm is tearing off of the arm and the staples are showing. I have contacted pretty much everyone involved, their customer care, ultra shield and the store itself. No one will repair a recliner that is less than 2 years old without me paying the $109 fee to a La-Z-Boy technician. I asked around from different upholstery repairmen and they have all said that this is a build quality issue and what I cannot understand is if this is a build quality issue, then why can La-Z-Boy honor their product and make the repair without me having to pay their tech $109?

    When my recliner chair broke I called La-Z-Boy store because I was going to buy a new chair. The salesperson informed me that I was able to get my chair repaired and La-Z-Boy would come to my home. I was very happy to hear that as I love my La-Z-Boy recliner. I had to pay upfront for the labor charge as the parts are warranted for life. I gave La-Z-Boy all the information about my chair and what was wrong with it. I had to wait three weeks for an appointment.

    When he came he didn't have the parts for my chair. He told me they would have to order it and I would have to wait 2 to 6 weeks to receive the parts, then I would have to call and set up another appointment which would take another three weeks. He was not very helpful. The foot rest is sticking out and when I asked him if there's anything he could do the chair so I could at least sit in it while I waited for it to be fixed, he flatly replied "No." The technician was not helpful in the least. He didn't give me any receipt to show me the parts will be ordered.

    So I had to wait three weeks just to have someone look at my chair and tell me I have to wait another 2 to 6 weeks for the parts to come in, then three more weeks to schedule another appointment. When I asked if I could set up the appointment now so I wouldn't have to wait three weeks more after the parts came in the technician again said "No." So it will take possibly 3 months to have my chair fixed. I guess that's the service you get when you have to pay in advance. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by the La-Z-Boy repair department.

    We purchased a recliner about a month ago. First time I sat on it my wife noticed the foot rest leans to the right when it's reclined up. I have owned a La-Z-Boy recliner before this one for 15 years and never had this problem. I called the service department and they sent a service man. He changed the 2 brackets that hold up the foot rest and it did not solve the problem so he said he couldn't fix it and they would come and pick it up and take it to the shop. Which a couple days later they did. Three days later they returned the chair and the 2 fellows who delivered it set it up and I sat on it and it was still the same as before. The 2 delivery guys noticed it right away. So they said the store would replace it with another one. Someone would get back to us.

    About a week later no one called so I called the service department and was told it was checked and on the work bench they put a level on it and it was fine. Which it would be as no one was sitting on it. So they were done with it. I guess I have to live with this but only because if something breaks or bends due to this leaning I know it has a lifetime warranty and would be fixed. We have about $6000.00 of other La-Z-Boy furniture in our home and have had very good luck with them and like them a lot. Too bad this chair issue had to happen. On the sales part of our purchase we were very pleased with Rick our salesman. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy.

    We are very pleased with the power recliner. We purchased it because my wife was having knee replacement surgery. It has been invaluable to her as she has been able to very comfortably recline to whatever position is best for her. We did have a couple of minor issues. The recliner wasn't at the store in the day we were supposed to pick it up but the manager did arrange for shipment to our house a couple of days later. We also noticed that the power transformer was damaged after the delivery folks had left. We called right away and they shipped us a new transformer. Overall great Customer Service. Then we were notified that they were not making the chair because of too many mistakes. We had to come back with my 88-year-old mother to choose a different chair – we ordered the Pinnacle Chair with massage and heat but before we could get that one, my mother had to get a pacemaker which meant she wasn't allowed to have the massage and heat. So we ordered a lift chair, the Pinnacle without massage and heat. The salesperson told my sister we had three days to try it out and if it didn't work out, we could have it picked up within three days and would have to use the credit on another chair – the chair we picked out unfortunately did not work out for my mom. We covered the chair and it was picked up by La-Z-Boy.

    Then we were told there would be a 30% restocking fee – this fee was never told to us by the salesperson Lou **. So my sister talked to another contact person who was very nice. She said they would waive the fee and we would have to use the credit, less the delivery charge for another chair. This past week my other sister took my mom down and they picked a non lift chair out, lesser price and also bought covers for the chair and a lamp.

    Now we are told in addition to the delivery fee of $90.00 from the last chair, and $90.00 that will be charged for delivering this chair, that we have to absorb the $110.00 fabric protection put on the last chair plus pay $110.00 fabric protection on this chair. So we have lost $400.00 on this and I'm sure La-Z-Boy will charge the next customer the $110.00 fabric protection that they charged us on the chair we didn't keep. I can understand the delivery fees but not the fabric protection double charges. Because of that, we will never go back to the Harrisburg PA store and we will never recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone else. They certainly lost our confidence with their nickel and dime charges that all of us donated to my elderly mother's comfort.

    We bought a power dual reclining couch from La-Z-Boy back in November 2014. We chose a synthetic "leather-like" surface in the showroom due to its warm feel that's unlike traditional leather. Big mistake! A year after buying it, the fabric on the couch began to crack and flake off. We purchased the lifetime fabric protection plan, so we notified La-Z-Boy's customer service about the problem and provided numerous pictures that showed the deteriorating fabric. They said that they needed a month to consider it for an exchange/credit consideration.

    A month later, a La-Z-Boy customer representative contacted us and stated that no credit or exchange would be given. The rep said that even he thought that the fabric looked terrible in the photos, and that he was going to resubmit the claim to his corporate office. He asked for a few more photos, and said that the resubmission could take another month. Over a month later, we get a phone message stating that our claim was once again denied. When we called to get further clarification, their customer service said that they were sorry and that there was nothing that they could do. So, long story short, La-Z-Boy sells an inferior product, and they won't acknowledge its problems or reimburse their customers. This couch is still less than 2 years old. Look at my attached photos and judge for yourself. Avoid this company!

    I have a section less than months old. The recliner on the chaise broke after the 1st use last Sunday. Half of it is in the up position and the rest is reclined! I am told there is a $80 fee to just come look at my furniture! I paid a LOT of money and thought I was buy from a place that had great quality. I didn't realize this piece reclined until I was in the store last Sunday to purchase another piece! Salesman never even spoke to us about all the features!     I bought a Kincaid Tuscano TV stand from the Novi store in March. The item came damaged and I notified customer service and the store that sold me the furniture right away. After repeated followups by me a replacement was ordered and delivered in June. No one called from La-Z-Boy to set up the repair technician to come in and switch out the damaged parts. After repeated calls again the service guy came on July 9th. But when he opened the replacement it was even more damaged than the old one and he said he would notify customer service right away and someone would call to issue a return. It's been 2 weeks and no follow up again. I have wasted a lot of time and effort and want La-Z-Boy to fix the issue right away. I have bought my entire family room furniture from the Novi store and had recommended it to all my friends and I am very disappointed in the customer service.     Salesman was very efficient and polite. Only problem we had was with pickup and this in hindsight is partially our fault. Sales should have been more explicit in why the necessity to phone first! We arranged our own pick with my son in law who has access to a covered ruck. Very important as it was raining all week. Swivel base did not get attached as he did not phone before calling to pick up. This meant we got an "Ikea" kit and we had to do the change ourselves. As are elderly, doing this was impossible so we hired a neighbor to do the change at a cost of $100. We were reimbursed for this so we have no complaints at all.

    La-Z-Boy used to be the Cadillac of furniture. Note I said used to be. A recliner was purchase on 1.24.15 and because it was a special order it was delivered March 2015 - since then it has been downhill. Immediately the back of the chair had to be replaced because of the excess fabric. On 12/19/15 the wood on the side with the handle had come apart and prompted a service call, the tech put in screws to hold it. Then on 1.23.16 we had another service call because the wood separated again and we requested the chair be replaced. We had spoken with the store manager and she even said the chair should be replaced. The tech thought that a new frame for that side might be OK but would turn in our request. On 1.29.16 I called to find out about the replacement. Spoke to Nellie, and found out the tech had requested a new frame and it had already shipped.

    On 2.3.16 the frame for the chair arrived and the service tech arrived on 2.13.16 to install the frame. Now on 7.20.16 the ratchet system is not working correctly. When you lean it back it suddenly moves like it skipped a spot in the ratchet. On the morning of 7.21.16 I found a piece of metal under the chair and the one side of it appears to have been sheared off. I am so very disappointed in La-Z-Boy for producing such a poorly made chair. I would like to get my money back which was $1,118.06 which includes a delivery fee of $79.99 OR you can give me a full store credit for a different chair. Rest assured, I will never buy La-Z-Boy again and will never recommend a product that La-Z-Boy produces. If you want a picture of the tag on the chair, let me know and I can provide that. I did not want to put it on the site as it has my husband's name on it.

    We just purchased over $7,000 of leather living room furniture that was to replace our previous living room furniture that was also leather. We purchased the additional warranty coverage and we mentioned that our old furniture was cracking or fading and we did maintain it with the leather treatment products. The sales person directed us to the warranty company. They asked for pictures and asked questions on how we maintained the product. Upon review they declined to honor the warranty due to their perception that we did not maintain the treatments.

    We feel that they just deny all claims with this hard to fight reasons. We did treat the leather multiple time a year for as long as we owned the pieces. We are now very unhappy about our recent large purchase because, even though the furniture looks good now, I feel that La-Z-Boy will not be there for us in a couple years when the furniture ages. I do not feel our loyalty mattered AT ALL. We did purchase the additional warranty on this new group, but I feel it will be worthless.

    I have La-Z-Boy furniture for about 15 years and when the couch was worn out I needed something new. I bought the same exact couch that I had before just with a different fabric, paid a little bit more for it but I like it. I liked my couch so much that over the 4th of July I referred my sister there. She went and bought the same exact couch.

    My first visit to the store was great but I'm still waiting to hear back from them now because when I called on the day that the offer was online, I saw that it was 30% off of everything and an extra $100 off. I called and the girl that I spoke to that day told me that I couldn't get the $100 off because it was only if you purchased that day. But that wasn't in the fine print that I saw online so I thought once I get a phone call about the furniture being delivered I'd talk to the manager who originally sold me the furniture.

    When they called me to schedule it to be delivered, it was a new manager was that called and I asked him about it and he said that he would have to talk to his regional rep and that he was going to a meeting with them the following week so he would speak with them then and call me back. But he never did so a couple of weeks ago, I called again to speak with him. He wasn't there and the saleslady said she would look into it for me but nobody called me back. So I don't know if I'm supposed to get the $100 or not. I haven't been real persistent about it but at the same time how many times do I have to call?

    My brothers and sisters ordered a recliner for our mom for a Christmas present and spent a little over $1000. We initially had issues with the chair not showing up on time and got the runaround by the store. When it did show up, we picked it up ourselves and took it home only to find that there was a cracking sound every time the chair was rocked. Due to store policy we had to reload the chair in our vehicle and take it back to the store where it was repaired.

    Our mom did not use the chair much for the first two years due to using her old chair she liked. This past year that old chair was retired and she started using the new chair. Within a couple months the chair broke. Screws were coming out of the frame. When I looked under the chair I was appalled at the quality of the chair. Mom contacted La-Z-Boy and had a contracted person come over for the repair. It was told her that the part would take 8-10 days and then she was to call the company to set up a time for them to come out to place the new part when it was delivered. She was not to use the chair.

    Seventeen days past and the part did not arrive. She normally uses the chair to sleep. I called La-Z-Boy and wanted to talk with the regional manager for La-Z-Boy and I was told that that information would not be given out. I must say that La-Z-Boy's customer service attitude is horrible. We got a call back from the contracted company who does the repairs and stated that the part was not even sent yet!!! What can I say but that our experience has been extremely frustrating.

    My mom, who is 88 years old, bought a small coffee table from La-Z-Boy. She was told that she could take the table that was on display or they could have a new one sent. My mom appreciated that and said a new one would be nice. The sales lady told my mom that if she wanted a new table, they would need to special order it from the factory. My mom said that she didn't need it until August 5TH, so that would be fine.

    Now, a little background information. My mom, as I said, is 88 years old. My dad just passed away on April 10TH of this year. My mom is now on a fixed income, she bought this smaller coffee table because she is moving into a one bedroom apartment--downsizing. Also, my parents have purchased 2 couches and two love seats from La-Z-Boy over the past 11 years. The last couch and recliner was from this particular store that we have issue with. And, just recently, along with the table that I mentioned, my mom bought a La-Z-Boy recliner for herself--date of purchase, July 6, 2016.

    Anyway, my mom purchased this particular table with my dad in mind--a bit masculine. A few days later, she said that maybe she should find a table that suits her taste more since dad is no longer here. She found a pretty little table and at half the price--which is helpful to my mom now. My mom said that she could cancel the order for the table at La-Z-Boy and said they have always been so nice to her and dad. She asked me to cancel the table order for her. She is older now and after my dad passed, she doesn't handle paperwork very well.

    I called on Saturday to cancel the order and spoke with a manager. He said because it was a special order, they can't take it back. He said it explains it on the back of the receipt. Well, for one thing, I was with my mom when she bought the table and I heard the sales lady said they would special order a new table for my mom. But, she did not verbalize that it would be a final sale. Even though it says so on the back on the receipt, in very small print, it should have been clearly verbalized to my mom at the time of purchase.

    When my mom was asked if she wanted a new table instead of the one on the floor, my mom asked if there was anything wrong with the table on the floor. The sales lady said that there wasn't, but since my mom didn't need the table right away, they could order her a new one. My mom thought that was nice and accepted. Now that I look at this scenario, I feel that it was taking advantage of my 88 year old mother. They sold her a $500.00 table knowing that because they were ordering her a new one, it would be a special order; therefore, my mom could not return it. Now my mom has a table that she really likes and is more affordable, and La-Z-Boy will not cancel her order for the table. She was told it may take several weeks for delivery.

    Yesterday, I went into the store and once again asked if they would consider cancelling the order--especially since it was probably still not even close to being shipped. The sales lady then said, "oh, I think it has already been shipped." Very convenient. Also, the manager that I spoke to in the phone said he would be at the store on Monday and would talk with "the powers that be." He never called us back and when we went into the store, we were told that he had to leave for the day. So, that was a wasted trip.

    My parents have been loyal La-Z-Boy customers throughout the years. Before they moved to NC, they purchased their couches and chairs from La-Z-Boy in CA. My husband and I are redoing our upstairs media room and I was going to consult with the La-Z-Boy Designer and purchase our furniture from La-Z-Boy. You would think that La-Z-Boy customer service would be more loyal and personal. But, I'm gathering that it is not. We would greatly appreciate it if La-Z-Boy would cancel the order for my mom's table since she was not clear on the no return policy for this "special order" and give her a refund.     When we ordered our couch on June 14th 2016, we took the time to tell the sales lady that there is a short steep incline to our driveway. She in turn told us the delivery would not be a problem. The delivery men walked to our home stating they could not get the delivery truck up our driveway. We had to use our truck to the take the delivery men back to the delivery truck parked alongside the road. They loaded our couch onto the back of our GMC truck. They sat on the back of our truck and held the couch until we reached our home.

    After setting up the couch in our home, they each asked for a bottle of water which we gladly gave them. We drove them back to their delivery truck and we drove back to our home. We called the Wyomissing Pa store where we bought our furniture because (1) we wanted to understand our $99.99 delivery charge and how that should be removed from our bill since it was our vehicle that delivered the furniture and (2) we have 2 more pieces of furniture that in 4 weeks will be delivered. We were told that we must pay the delivery charge because the furniture was delivered to our home. I explained that had it not been for our truck, the couch would have NOT been delivered.

    She later called us back and told us that they could deliver the remaining 2 pieces of furniture but it would be in a smaller van and it would cost $500, so she suggested that we make arrangements to pick up our furniture at Wyomissing Pa La-Z-Boy. It gets better, she said whoever we get to pickup the furniture, will likely be asked to load the furniture onto our truck as well since La-Z-Boy is light on staff in the warehouse. We would love to cancel this order but the 2 remaining pieces of furniture match our couch we just bought. We have bought La-Z-Boy furniture in the past and never had a problem until now and due to this horrible customer service will never ever buy La-Z-Boy again. Please remedy this problem immediately!

    I visited Lakeland FL La-Z-Boy in 5/14 to purchase a leather recliner, I was sold a recliner for $700 that I was told had leather arms and seat. The back and sides were man-made. Imagine my surprise and dismay when a mere 4 years later the chair starts peeling. Went to the store and my invoice said fabric/renew material not leather. Their coverings are only warrantied for 1 yr. They will not do anything about it, I understand that. But don't sell me something under premise of being something else. The manager had the gall to say "Didn't you think that was a great price for leather. That was too cheap for leather." Try going onto their website. Type in leather and it brings up color swatches to choose from. Choose carefully. Read the fine print. Most say fabric. Some say performance. None says leather. DON'T DECEIVE the CONSUMER.

    The first La-Z-Boys we purchased 10 years ago were a couch and loveseat that were recliners. One of the backs on the sofa was leaning backwards and getting worn out so we decided to get two separate reclining chairs and a sofa instead of having all of them reclining. The lady from La-Z-Boy that we initially talked to when we walked into the store was very helpful. I told her what we were looking for and that I needed something with a support in the back and she showed me a couple of models. Initially we were just going to look for another loveseat and couch, so we were sitting on those and she directed me to the ones that would work the best for me. She told us to pick out different fabric samples that we thought would work in the room.

    Their designer would come to the house with the samples, go over them and work out a floor plan. I liked having her come to the house and give her suggestions on different variations on the floor plan of what we could do. We had one other existing chair that we were keeping in the room and to work around with that was very helpful. She took the pictures and then went back and made up her sample board to show the layout. We're very pleased with them.

    When we downsized our furniture because our children got older and moved out, we gave our daughter the couch and recliner while our son got the loveseat. That worked out better with the new set of furniture we got. One of the reasons we got rid of the couch was because the linkage part of the recliner was wearing out due to normal wear and tear. And because we’ve been happy with La-Z-Boy, we went and bought from them again.

    The La-Z-Boy sales people were good. When we had a problem, they took care of it and gave us the numbers to contact. I’ve never seen an electric chair before that reclines and does it by pushing the button. I got one but I’ve been a little disappointed with it. I called La-Z-Boy when I first got the chair because it didn't sit up all the way. It only leaned back partially compared to the same one I had that manually reclined. I flipped it over and tried messing with it. I even disconnected the hydraulic thing to see if it would move. Something is wrong in there and the La-Z-Boy people have to come out and fix it. It annoys me every time I sit on the chair.

    The other complaint I have is I can’t get rid of the smell on my purchases. It’s a new furniture smell, but I don’t like it. I don’t recall having that with our old one. This furniture has a different fabric than what we had before, though. Other than those, it’s been an overall good experience. We’re happy with the other furniture we got too. We ordered the couch so that we had everything matching. We got the fabrics matched and the couch has been great. The other chair my wife got has been fine too. When we bought our new furniture we were told they have a lifetime thing of fixing them. Someone will come out and do it for $100 or if we figure out what the parts are La-Z-Boy will send them to us for free. The company stands behind their products.

    We have always bought leather La-Z-Boy furniture. They held up amazingly. For that reason we were willing to spend more when we purchased our leather sectional 3 years ago. It was thousands of dollars but we thought it would hold up just like the couch we had for 10 years. Except it didn't. Here we are 3 years later and the leather is flaking off in the most used areas, like you see on those cheap hunks of garbage you buy at discount furniture stores. Let me be clear by "most used areas" I mean by people sitting, like a couch is intended for. You can see flaking all along the seams on the sides of the most used seats too, where it's clearly just rubbing off. We bought the 5-year protection plan when we purchased, but I didn't realize that only covered incidental and that their poor quality flaking leather isn't incidental.

    I waited over 15 minutes on hold to be talked to in a snotty tone by a customer service rep telling me the leather is only covered for a year and the 5-year plan we purchased only covered incidentals. She then asked if I would like her to email me the brochure of the protection plan if I couldn't remember what I purchased. I asked what I was supposed to do about our sectional and she wanted to give me the number to a company that could try to fix it at cost to us. I should not be paying to fix flaking leather on a 3-year-old sectional that cost thousands of dollars. The rep I spoke to was also rude and said flaking leather doesn't happen overnight and it's probably the way it was cared for. We cared for this couch the same way we did the one we had for 10 years so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue. It's just not the same quality furniture that it used to be.

    When I asked why they don't stand behind their products, she said they do and that is why they cover the leather for a year. So a 4k couch should only look nice for a year? I'm not expecting it to last forever, but I certainly didn't expect flaking leather at this point. I was given a phone number and an email address to contact corporate and email pictures, but I'm not sure if I should bother at this point. If they are as rude as she was, I don't see what I'm going to accomplish. We have been loyal customers for over a decade as has much of our family. If this is the quality of materials and response to complaints about that poor quality, we will be looking elsewhere. It's so disappointing as they have been our go-to brand that was worth spending more money on. Not anymore.

    I purchase a couch and love-seat in January 2016; it was delivered at the end of February. Two months later, the cushions broke down to the point that there is a crater where my boyfriend sits. I was out of town working, but finally contacted La-Z-Boy in May and the very rude lady (Sandra) agreed to send someone to my house to look at the furniture.

    The repairman was stunned at the couch, and suggested replacing all cushions, the electric mechanism for the recliner and rebuild the recliners. I didn't hear anything from them for two weeks, so I finally called and was told by the rude lady that it would be four weeks for the parts to arrive, around June 30. June 30 came and went and I heard nothing, so I called this week (second week of July) for a status. Amazingly, the parts were in and they wanted to schedule a pick up of the furniture. So we made an appointment for today (Saturday July 16) and I was told there would be a phone call with a 30 minute time window for pick up.

    I've stayed home all day today waiting for a call and/or a pick up. Neither has come. I called the customer service phone number, but had to leave a message. Just one time I would like to call and have someone pick up the phone. I would like to return this junky piece of crap, but they tell me that's not an option. I paid $4,000 for this "top of the line" set and amazingly, the salesman is no longer there. I'm not surprised; he lied about the furniture having memory foam, and his promise of service is nowhere near what a reasonable consumer should experience.

    I contacted La-Z-Boy directly; they refused to help me and indicated the franchise all their stores so there's absolutely nothing anyone can do for me apparently. I went to the store and talked to the manager; he said it was out of his hands and I had to deal with their customer service department. Hard to believe, but my nightmare continues. My next stop will be the better business bureau and my attorney. Maybe then they will let me return the couch.

    The La-Z-Boys we got from my parents were worn out, so we purchased some power recliners from them. The sales rep took us around and showed us different things after we told her what we wanted. She was very pleasant, helpful and really took her time with us. She wasn't pushy and she even gave advice to me and my wife on the right size that will fit us.     High leg recline chair model 028916. Picked up June 20, noted slight 'wobble' in chair. Called store July 11, tech came out July 15th stated chair was to La-Z-Boy specs... but had had a lot of complaints about the same problem, it is just the way it was designed!     My wife and I purchased a Burton leather sofa and chair in February 2016. Within 2 months we noticed that the stuffing on the arms of the sofa was beginning to break down, leaving permanent "dents" in the arms of the sofa. I called on April 21 to schedule a service call so that someone could come out and remedy the problem. An initial appointment on May 4 was rescheduled (by La-Z-Boy) to May 18. At that time, 2 technicians came out and said that they would order additional stuffing to go into the arms of the sofa and we should receive the materials within a week or so. I called after about 3 weeks to check on the status, and was told the "parts" were back ordered and would ship on approximately June 18.

    Today, July 14, having heard nothing at all from anyone, I called the local La-Z-Boy store to ask for their help in expediting this (if you call an already 3-month-wait "expediting"...). They promised to have someone from the repair team give me a call back today. I just got off the phone with those folks and am currently told the "part" is now back ordered until sometime in September. La-Z-Boy furniture is not the least expensive furniture in the world, and I would expect that (first) the furniture would hold up, (second) if a problem DOES occur that they would take care of it, and (third) they would do so in a timely fashion. I am SHOCKINGLY dissatisfied with our purchase and the subsequent "services" which have yet to be delivered.

    I had a La-Z-Boy recliner years ago and it was very old so I got another one as my recent purchase. The sales rep was very attentive and cooperative. She stayed with me as I sat through many chairs and took notes of what I liked and didn't like. So, when we went to go back and try the final ones that I liked, she had a record of it. The delivery people were very good as well. They came in, moved my old chair into the garage for me so that I could drag it out for garbage day.

    We bought it when it was on sale for Memorial Day and the cost reduced. It was a good price and a good value, and I felt that the quality is definitely there. Also, being that it is such a personal item that has so many factors for one to get the ultimate comfort, it has to fit his/her body. If a person only has two or three to choose from, chances are he/she is not gonna get the best. So I tell everybody that If they're gonna buy a recliner, go to La-Z-Boy because they'll have at least 30 to choose from.

    We were able to have a support or a lift underneath so that when I got in the chair, the chair wasn't so low and much easier to get out of. That was an additional charge but well worth it. I had gone to the store with my sister as I went around and tried everything, and when she sat in the chair that I had finally picked out, she bought the exact same chair. I definitely was very pleased.

    La-Z-Boy provided very thorough and accommodating service, but one thing they should market in their advertising is if they could possibly show a variety of different shapes and sizes of people and say, "La-Z-Boy isn't a one-fit for everybody. We have chairs that will be fit almost like a custom chair for each one of these heights and weights and even ages." There are so many choices that it's important that people know. If there's a guy who's six foot six inches and a woman who's five-foot, they can't sit in the same chair obviously but La-Z-Boy is gonna give each group a selection to choose from. That's their biggest selling point.

    We were moving out and so we decided to get a new La-Z-Boy. The delivery team was excellent, came right at the time that they said they would and delivered the couch without hurting any walls or furniture. The couch is very comfortable, however, we're missing some extra parts so we had somebody drop them off for us. We weren't home so we told him to hide it somewhere. He dropped them off in some random spot I told him to, which I found to be very nice.

    I am so disappointed in my Dylan 4 piece motion seating set. I paid $757.89 for it on 8-10-2013 and it has been falling apart for months! I live in the San Diego area and the furniture is under a pergola rotting away. I thought I was getting a 7-year warranty on the frame BUT according to customer service the "all-weather resin weave" isn't covered... Even though the weave is part of the framing structure. In the same week, I also purchased cheap $20 chairs to match and they are in perfect condition. My advice is to buy cheap and don't pay extra for La-Z-Boy cause from the pictures you can see how inferior the product has been for me.

    Purchased 2 memory foam recliners in July 2014, received them in August 2014. The fabric has separated from the memory foam due to the memory foam not returning to its shape and leaves ripple and indents and its appearance is horrible. La-Z-Boy customer care said they would repair the chairs at $109 an hour labor. That's not acceptable to me and I'll spend my money on another brand in the near future. Customer care is a joke. All they care about is getting you to buy their product. This was the 3rd set of La-Z-Boy recliners we've purchased over about the last 20 or so years but never again.

    I purchased the La-Z-Boy Outdoor Charlotte 4 Piece Seating Set. I used to think La-Z-Boy was a top quality brand. Obviously they have decided they can rest on their reputation and they have become cheap Chinese crap. This entire seating set comes in a single box. When it was originally delivered the box looked like it was literally dragged behind the truck. The delivery guys could not drop it off and get out fast enough. Inside, one of the rocker bases was bent and cracked as were both of the love seat arms.

    Since we were returning pieces anyway, we also returned a rocker arm that was badly scuffed. It took SEVEN WEEKS to get replacements. Again, the box was severely damaged and the parts were just thrown inside with no packing or padding. There were some worse scuffs than the arm we had replaced, but everything is at least functional this time and we're keeping it. Also, on assembly, most of the parts do not really line up. It is very difficult to assemble. When complete, the chair back joints line up on one side and not on the other; on EVERY one of them. La-Z-Boy obviously no longer has any pride in the product they ship as evidenced by both the quality of the product and the extreme lack of care in shipping. I will never purchase a La-Z-Boy product again.

    My wife and I bought a new recliner at a Dallas area La-Z-Boy store about 3 years ago. It was represented as having leather upholstery. Over the past few weeks, large parts of the chair's surface have begun to flake off every place one's body or head contacts the backrest, the seat cushion, the footrest and the arm rests. A black vinyl appearing backing is visible where the surface is denuded. From what I have now read in my internet research, the upholstery which was sold to us as leather was actually bonded or reconstituted leather which is notorious for this kind of failure with normal use and cannot be effectively repaired. The chair was sold to us as leather, and the pitch included touting its durability. I've learned some lessons by this experience. One of them is not to buy from La-Z-Boy.

    We had La-Z-Boy's in-home design service people come to our house, then an appointment for the purchase and ordered a few pieces of furniture including a sectional and ottoman. The delivery guys had to go up flights of stairs and take out our old furniture and everything went seamlessly. However, we went with leather when we picked them out, so it took around six weeks to deliver and we were really excited to get them. It would have been really cool to get updates on where the furniture is at. Other than that, we love the quality of the pieces of furniture we received.

    Product after 4 years is almost ready to be trashed. Fabric started raveling within the first 6 months. La-Z-Boy replaced the seat cushion but the rest of the chair started to fray all over within the next year and La-Z-boy offered to replace the arms for almost $500. Just replacing the arms will not fix the problem and having paid $1,300 for the chair, an exorbitant amount to add to a chair that has an overall problem with the fabric. Just an additional fact, I am retired, living by myself with no children using this chair. I am the only one who uses it on a consistent basis. The chair is ready for the curb and I expected it to last the rest of my lifetime. La-Z-Boy's quality is very poor and they do not stand behind their products. FYI finally decided to write this review when I heard from another friend that they have had a similar experience with La-Z-Boy.

The sales rep was very good and the delivery of my furniture went smoothly. I’ve been telling my friends about this particular model. It doesn’t look that much like a recliner as it’s smaller scale. The rep said they’ve only had it for about a month or two.

    Corporate Greed at its finest! As they never have anything in stock, I ordered some furniture. Then I lost my job. Even though it wouldn't even ship for 2 weeks, La-Z-Boy demanded a 20% restocking charge. Not really sure what they are restocking, but if this is an indication of how this corporation operates I'll go elsewhere.. Should have known better. Will stay with a locally owned furniture company next time.

    As a result of my horrible experience with this place, I have discovered that the majority of these stores are privately owned rather than a corporate store. As such, they refuse to honor the pricing La-Z-Boy advertises in their flyers and internet pricing. So, if you go into the store based on what you've seen in an ad, you may or may not find that price on the chair you went in to see. When you point that out, they act all confused and have to "call the manager" who slimes his way over to you, pretends to look at the computer screen with a puzzled look on his face, and then tells you it's a misprint.

    So, my question is: how is this different from a bait and switch that is generally considered a false advertising crime? This store is the furniture equivalent of a used car lot. By the time they were finished, a recliner that was advertised on the internet at $349 was going to be $605. His attitude was take it or leave it. Guess which one I chose? I guess this "manager" doesn't know there are other places to buy furniture.

    I paid $2966.01 for two custom made couches (one sofa and one smaller love seat) at La-z-Boy Furniture Galleries, 7087 Academy Blvd Col. Springs CO 80920, on January 16, 2016. The models are Asher LA-Z-Time and Asher LA-Z-Time sofa. I received the couches on February 23, 2016 and was very disappointed to see that they were not manufactured properly and had insufficient stuffing. LA-Z-BOY agreed that the couches were defective and on March 15, 2016 they came back to my house and took the couches for repair. The couches were repaired and arrived On April 25, 2016 to our home. On June 1, I sat on my new couch and the fabric ripped (photos available). The hole in the fabric is about 5 inches long.

    I went to the store to report damage and poor quality of my new sofas. I spoke with salesperson Brent ** about the issue asking for my money back. He told me they would not refund it because the product was custom made. He was very discourteous and rude. He put the manager business card on the reception counter top and told me to e-mail him sending pictures of the damaged sofa. He turned his back on me and left. After my frustration on June 4, 2016, I e-mailed the service manager Derek ** without any luck. He never answered. Today is July 4, 2016 and have not heard from the service manager nor the company.

    I bought a sofa and chair and I was very disappointed with it. Both items were rock hard when I received them. I called the store where they were purchased and they put me in touch with customer service. Customer service was not much help. It ended up that the store wanted to exchange my new sofa with their used one and the store for a additional 100.00. This was not very good service at all, I paid over 200.00 already for delivery, there was no way would I pay another 100.00 for delivery for a used couch. I can't make any sense of this at all. Anyways overall I'm not very happy at all and will never recommend or purchase another La-Z-Boy product.

    We purchased a new model sofa from La-Z-Boy, the Addison reclining sofa. I sent in numerous reviews because it is the most terrible sofa I have ever sat on. The seat depth is so short it is like sitting on a ledge trying not to fall off. None of my reviews have been posted as they were not positive reviews. I would like to exchange it with no loss of money but that is not their policy because it was not purchased in the standard fabric it comes in. I have had 6 sofas/chairs from La-Z-Boy that we were very happy with for years, but this sofa is just unacceptably uncomfortable. It is a lot of money to spend on a sofa that we don't sit on due to how uncomfortable it is. I assume we are not the only ones that feel this way since it's a new model and has been slashed $500.00 on the website already. I would love to resolve this problem but don't see how I can.

    La-Z-Boy is wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them. We've had La-Z-Boy furniture at home for as long as they've built it, which is at least 25 years. We've recently purchased two recliners because our old ones needed to go. But there was nothing wrong with them and we love them. They were great chairs but it wasn't the right fabric anymore and we got tired of cleaning the cat hair. They were that bad off, we didn't even donate them. It's like we kicked them to the curve and then they've gone to wherever recliners go to die. Our purchase was a great experience. The little, young sales rep that we dealt with was fabulous, really knew her stuff, and was very competent. And the guys who delivered our recliners were nice, too.

    We wanted a recliner so we looked at the La-Z-Boy store in Pittsburgh. We picked out a couch and we were gonna get it in Cleveland. When we got to Cleveland, we’d changed our minds and the store manager worked with us. He was great. Then the designer came to our house. He was really great, too, because my wife and I never knew what we wanted to buy. We had it delivered except for the one we took with us, and they did a good job. We love our recliner so far. We've only had it for a week or two now, but I can sit down on it for the rest of my life.

    We purchased a sofa, 2 each recliners and a king and queen size bed frame. When they were delivered the queen bed frame did not have center rails that fit. They said they would expedite the correct center rails (this was on 5-13 2016). I kept calling every contact number that I had as well as the main customer service for La-Z-Boy that I found online. I also talked with the store manager and the distribution center and nothing was accomplished. After many attempts to get this resolved on my part and an open frame sitting in my bedroom that was useless without the center rails, I was told that they would be coming with the proper rails and this issue would be resolved.

    WELL on 5-26-2016 they showed up. (This was what they considered expedited of parts that were in stock). The rails they came with were for a twin bed and did not fit, the queen takes 3 center rails and the twin 2 rails. I was at wits end and they said I could not return the frame as it was a special order. I finally got with another manager at the Greenville store and she had a sincere concern to resolve the issue. The distribution center was going to make me wait 4 to 5 more days to bring the proper rails, however the manager made them come the following day. They came with a lot of parts and at first they tried to install rails that were not correct and I pointed out a box that had not been opened, and lo and behold it was the queen rails. They did not have all the nuts and bolts, however I kept the leftover ones from the crew that was here on 5-13-2016 (remember the day they first delivered the wrong parts).

    The 2 star rating is for the complete lack of customer service and the fact that if I had not kept pressure on all of the people that I did I believe that I would still be waiting for them to get the expedited rails to me. The sales person was very good and we were perfectly happy with her, however everyone else that I dealt with in between until I was able to get with the other manager needs real training on what customer service means. Totally turned off by this experience.

    What did La-Z-Boy do? Did they hire a new company to assemble their furniture? Do they even have a QA department? La-Z-Boy is still working off their past reputation. Paid more than I could afford for this recliner. Delivered with material sagging in the seat portion. Now they are wanting to replace seat section and I can live with that if the material matches but I am an older citizen and they are wanting UPS to deliver it and I work. I cannot lift and place a piece of furniture in my house. Why can't they deliver it to the Houston store and have La-Z-Boy personnel deliver and assemble it at my home during a schedule time? This shoddy workmanship is not my doing.

    What happen with customer service? Porsha in Customer Service stated that this is the way it has got to happen and I'm sure that she believes that but they need to go the extra step of receiving, delivering, and setting up. We even have an upholster shop in our town of Nederland. Contract them out. Where is the customer service? Our motto at my job is CARE. Create quality products and services, Achieve high standards by following policies and procedures, React to customer concerns and recommendations, Eliminate quality problems. Feel free to adopt this. I'm sure my boss would not mind.

    Sales No: **. Purchased several pieces on May 27, 2016 including coffee and end tables, recliner chair, area rug. The purchases were made during the "RED TAG" Sale, which Arielle ** (Sales Representative) advised this was the absolute lowest price of the season. Paid the deposit required and was proudly advised by Arielle all was good and I could expect delivery in about 2 months from time of order.

    Approximately 1 month later, after I have purchased a sofa and loveseat (custom) from another merchant, Arielle calls to advise me she has good news and bad. The good being the tables and chair were in, but the rug was no longer available. The only options available to me would be to get a different area rug; obtain a larger size; have a designer work with me to find a different rug; or have money refunded. Totally unacceptable options as the sofa and loveseat ordered were made to match everything that I had spent hours with including time with Arielle to have a showpiece living room setting. The couch and sofa, nor the tables and chair could not be returned. Advised Arielle this was not acceptable and to be advised 1 month after the fact and 1 month after she confirmed all was good from ordering. She did apologize however offered nothing further.

    When I suggested to purchase the floor model area rug at a discounted rate as this was the rug that pulled everything together in terms of design, her response was this is not a practice of LA-Z-BOY however she would ask her mgr. Shortly after she calls me back to advise good news reminding me this is NOT a practice to offer the floor model covering, but built a case with her mgr because everything was designed around it, and was proud to offer me the rug at a 5% discount. Unacceptable. Spending over $5000 and to suggest they were doing me a favor by offering the floor model area rug at a 5% discount was a total insult. I asked to have her manager call me.

    Jamie (store manager, hopefully I have spelling correct), contact me, and the accurate words to describe her attitude was ZERO compassion, rude and interruptive. Having her deal with me as a very frustrated customer only elevated the situation as all she kept reiterating was it wasn't their fault, tried to make it sound like a big favor offering me the rug at 5% discount because of this not being a common practice, and continuously interrupted me when I would try to speak. The conversation was very frustrating and at times heated, when she finally said "just exactly what do you want me to do?" When I tried to explain to put herself in my shoes, there was no compassion. I asked for 50% of the area rug and she would have to get back to me.

    After she discussed with someone else she came back with 20%. I did take this offer, only because of the investment I had already made and could not cancel the tables, the chair nor the sofa and loveseat from the other merchant. The next day I went to Edmonton South Gallery to view the rug to ensure there was no fault, stains etc and met with the manager Jamie and Arielle. While there I had noticed the tables I had ordered appeared to be less in price that what I had purchased earlier. What happened to the lowest price of the year Arielle proudly advised me of when I placed my order? Please reflect that Arielle announced the price I received on my order was the lowest price of the year.

    Arielle and Jamie checked and sure enough the tables were less than what I paid because of this "Flood Sale" which is bogus as my tables were ordered and nothing to do with a flood. However Jamie advised a 90-day guaranteed price is honored by the store if the price drops so they would adjust. Arielle returns with my new invoice and advises me good news and bad news again. Good news the tables did come down in price but the chair I ordered went up, so the net result was a lower cost on the total invoice.

    Help me understand this!!! I get the lower price because of this price guarantee on the tables, but if prices go up I get charged. This is exactly what happened to me. Adjustments made on the lower price of the table and increase adjustment made on the chair. Very frustrated I advised Arielle I only hope that my order when it came in was good as I would be sure never to order product from LA-Z-BOY again. As a frustrated customer, with the situation of the rug, it took nerve and ZERO compassion to be able to now charge me more for the chair. The original price I paid for the chair was 1690.99 and because a new invoice was generated for the reduced price on the tables, the chair was now charged at 1729.99.

    I can't even begin to tell you I have NEVER, EVER experienced such horrendous service, and request that LA-Z-BOY review this situation with reimbursing me the extra $39.00 Arielle charged on my new invoice. I advised Arielle that I only hoped all my order would be free of defect otherwise all product would be returned to their gallery, and I departed. I have not received a follow-up call from Arielle nor Jamie since this happened which is just difficult to comprehend. I would appreciate a response to my concern by email addressing to: ** or feel free to contact me at **.

    If there is no resolution to this outrageous situation with the chair, I will be sharing my story with many, as I have the original and revised copy of the invoice which Arielle mentioned that once revisions are made the original doesn't exist. Again, I find that hard to believe, however I have both the invoices. I seriously recommend Customer Service training when dealing with difficult situations is offered to Jamie and Arielle. My experience is one I won't forget and if I could have I would have canceled my entire order worth $5440.56. I always thought that LA-Z-BOY was a reputable merchant standing behind their word, but my experience proves quite differently. Please acknowledge my situation and I would kindly appreciate a resolution to this. Thank you.

    We have a La-Z-Boy store here in our area and we bought from them for the first time. The saleslady who approached us was interesting. Talking with her and knowing that they offered free design service sealed the deal cause we're not very good at colors, patterns and all that kind of stuff. She paid a visit to the house and gave us a nice presentation. A couple days later, we liked what we saw. The furniture arranged in the La-Z-Boy store were also better than any of the five stores that we visited prior. That made it easier for us to visualize what we were looking at and what we wanted to get. The combination of the design service clicked.

    They delivered our purchase and although the team itself was okay, the delivery wasn't all that good. They weren't able to deliver everything they were supposed to. We bought three lamps and they were damaged. The instruction was to call the store, so we did. We had to call them back because we weren't sure what was going on. Also, we bought three wall hangings and one of them had some frame damage to it. It wasn't critical but it wasn't brand new perfect and we paid for that. That was the only disappointing thing about the whole process. The saleslady came back out with the lamps about three days later of her own doing and that was appreciated. She also looked at the frame and said they could patch that. Other than that, it's been good so far.

    The only reason I am dissatisfied is that this new chair is not as comfortable as the one I had previously. My old chair was discontinued and I am not happy at all with this new chair. I have congestive heart failure and therefore I have to sleep in a recliner with Oxygen. This new chair hurts my neck. I would hope that my old chair model could be located somewhere in another store and swap it with this one.

    I took the seat of my recliner in to be repaired near the end of February. Two weeks later I get a notice in the mail saying they couldn't contact me because my phone number was wrong. I told them when I called to set up the repair my new number. After I got the letter I called them back the next day of business. I approved the new piece of foam for my chair so that they could go ahead and order it, this was mid March. In May having not heard from them since March, I called to find out about my chair. The man who answered said the part had just been approved to be purchased in May. He said it would take several weeks to get this piece of foam. I finally today got my chair back and it's June 29th. Needless to say their customer service in the repair shop is horrible.

    We've had La-Z-Boy at home for 33 years and before that also in my parents’ home. Our other recliners were stained and smelled so we needed new ones. We had our delivery and everything was installed and being used now but the delivery portion was not so smooth. They asked me if I wanted to have everything at one time and I asked what they mean. They said, “Well, the armrest wouldn’t come at the same time that the furniture was ready.” So I said, “Well, let’s wait for all of it to be delivered at the same time. I don’t want to use the furniture without the armrest.”

    So when they called, I said, “Now, everything is in?” and she told me, “Oh, it’s early and la, la, la... Yes, everything is here.” So we set up a delivery date and delivery went smoothly but no armrest. I don’t understand and wasn’t very happy about that. I ended up with no armrest for a week. And then I had to go pick them up. Everything’s fine with the quality except that they tell me one thing and that wasn’t what happened.

    There were a lot of people talking to me about how La-Z-Boy is a good company to deal with. When we went to their showroom, their sales reps were not pushy at all. They left us alone while we decided to look and had any questions answered at our convenience. In fact, that was a big reason we bought from La-Z-Boy. We had our furniture delivered and it was the best delivery we've ever had. We could track and know exactly where the truck was and I could plan my day accordingly.     I would like to nominate Adele as the best design consultant of the year. I purchased a rocker/recliner as a gift for my daughter having her first baby.     I wanted to change my living room and buy my husband one of the recliners. So I went to La-Z-Boy and had a very nice designer help me design my room. After we started talking to her, it got better and better and I ended up purchasing a set of items from them. We had everything delivered but one of my chairs is not usable. So they sent somebody to check it out but he said it wasn’t his job to fix it but he'd call customer service and have somebody call me. I haven’t heard from anybody since then, but overall, it was a positive experience. We really like the furniture and the people who helped us at the store but I wish the delivery would have been faster. They said it'll take six weeks but it took almost ten weeks and it was just inconvenient.

    I have a La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa that needs a new spring mechanism, confirmed by a technician on 5/28/16. Despite the fact that the technician tried to explain the TWO-STEP process of delivery and installation, I was not fully cognizant that it is a TWO-STEP process. On Tuesday, 6/21, I received a voice mail message that the mechanism was ready for delivery. I returned the call 2 hours later and got a recording. After waiting 26 hours, and receiving no call back, I called customer care. The rep tried to call the warehouse, but could not get through. She sent an e-mail to the warehouse, asking someone to contact me.

    Here we are, 2 days later, and no one has contacted me. So, I contacted La-Z-Boy, for the 3rd time. I called the warehouse number but was transferred back to customer care, who then had to call the warehouse. I spoke with Ella, who was the person who left the original voicemail message. I spent a total of 42 minutes and 48 seconds (most of which was hold time) on the phone regarding this matter, not counting the 2 voice mail messages that I left. This is absolutely not acceptable! I purchased the sofa in 1994 and purchased a recliner in April 2016. I love everything about the product, but nothing about your broken process of callbacks, call transfers, and TWO-STEP installations. Unfortunately, that is what I will remember and what I will tell people. I expect customer care to be on the same level quality as the products, but that bar is far too low. La-Z-Boy needs to re-train its people and fix its processes.

    A few years ago, I've bought some pieces and recently, purchased a lift chair from La-Z-Boy after wearing out an old chair. Because of my weight and size, I've done damage to chairs. It's still under warranty and the people haven't got back to me about coming out to fix it. Other than that, I have not had any disappointments with it.

    We purchased a Leighton style sofa with the upgraded, "stiff" cushion. I have spinal issues and require a stiff cushion with great support. We were told that this upgraded foam cushion was the stiffest cushion with the most support they carried. We sat on the sample in the store for a short period of time and it seemed okay. Upon receiving the sofa (Feb.2016) we realized that the longer you sat on the cushion the more you sank, cancelling out any support and causing me back pain and nerve issues. If two people are sitting side by side it's even worse, you end up sinking in towards each other. Fine if you're married, not so much if you're not.

    After a month of thinking it would get better, we contacted the store (March 2016) and they said to call Comfort Care. We did and a month later (April 2016) the guy came and said, "Yes it's the correct cushion, the stiffest cushion we sell". He said he would send me a copy of the report so that I could contact the store to see what could be done about it. We never received a copy of the report but after going in to the store we did get a phone call saying it had been filed and that we needed to contact the store again. So in May 2016 we did just that. They suggested we sit on the standard cushion for a few minutes to see if it would be better. We determined that it was not perfect but it was better than what we had.

    We were then told that the store would work with Comfort Care to see what could be done. We never heard back so we went to the store again and were told that we would have to pay, per cushion, to swap for the standard cushion. Keep in mind that we'd already paid an add'l for the upgraded cushions! We explained to the store that what they were selling as a stiff cushion is not, it's memory foam that sinks when you sit on it, and the warmer the room temp, or your body temp, the more you sink. He said that he was going to talk with Comfort Care and a regional person because it sounded like they were stating and selling something (stiff cushion) that might not be true. It has been nearly a month since our last encounter and we are still waiting for a resolution.

    In addition, I pointed out to the Comfort Care tech that the front feet were not attached correctly and that they bent backwards if the couch was moved without picking it up (we have hardwood floors), and that one of them did not tighten. He looked at them and said they were fine, they're not. This is our first, and potentially last, La-Z-Boy purchase. We made the decision to spend more for a couch and buy from La-Z-Boy because of the brand reputation and great reviews, sadly it's not working out quite the way we thought it would! I've reached out to the store again, hopefully they'll have a resolution that doesn't involve us paying more.

    I bought a leather recliner 3 years ago and the leather is almost worn off in 6 places. I owned a fabric La-Z-Boy recliner before and it lasted 25 years so we decided to spend the money on a new leather one. Very disappointed to say the least. It doesn't get mistreated and has been protected, so I think the quality of the leather is not all it is cracked to be. I don't expect it last forever, but it is an eye sore.

    Purchased a recliner on 12-23-15 from Choice Furniture. On 5-20-16 I returned the chair to Choice Furniture due to the reclining mechanism being broken. On 5-27-16 I was advised by Choice Furniture that the La-Z-Boy representative stated the chair was broken from abuse and jumping in it. I am 59 years old and the only one that uses the chair and at my age I don't jump in chairs! On 5-27-16 I contacted La-Z-Boy and was told the chair was being repaired and would be returned to me. Today is 6-22-16 and I have yet to hear back from Choice Furniture or La-Z-Boy concerning the repair of the chair. If I had known La-Z- Boy had this quality of customer service I would have purchased a different brand of chair. In closing I am really offended that the La-Z-Boy representative would insinuate that I abuse or jump on my furniture. I really expected better quality and service from La-Z-Boy.
