I purchased 2 chairs 1.6 years ago and spend $1,200 per chair. I order designer fabric for them and the protection plan. They now are completely pilling over the entire chair and I am now being told this is "normal" for expensive quality fabric. They look like they are 10 years old. RUN don't waste your money. Poor Poor Quality!!!

Really bad delivery service. They are rude and unprofessional. Broke the sofa as they were aggressive then replace it but was so nasty about it. Deliver new sofa and forgot other sofa parts. I will never buy from La-Z-Boy again. With the bad economy now try to hire a better company for delivery as the competition is high and you will lose business.

I had purchased a couch from one of those other dealers but I wasn't happy with it, and from what I read, La-Z-Boy is into recliners. I asked the questions to the sales rep and got them answered. I had the home delivery and it was alright, except the delivery price was a little steep. $100 to deliver a chair was a lot of money. The delivery guys walked in and it took less than five minutes. That's how quick it got put together. I'm 65 years old and if I was ten years younger, I would have brought the chair home by my own. I went with La-Z-Boy hoping I get the best and we'll see what happens. So far, the quality is good.

I needed furniture and I liked what La-Z-Boy had. The sales rep was very good and helpful. She helped me decide colors and style, and whether or not they'd be the right price for the room that I needed it for. It was delivered to me and the delivery team was very good and efficient. I'm enjoying the furniture. I found La-Z-Boy to be very helpful and I would purchase from them again. I definitely recommend them.

Very unsatisfied with our sofa from the start which was 8 years ago. The salesman lied to us by saying that it is a memory foam sofa that will "spring back" for years to come. We have been Horribly uncomfortable on the sofa because the seats and back support are nonexistent, and the 'sinking' or "craters" in ALL of the cushions cause us terrible back pain. The fabric threads are ripping apart with some atrocious "pilling". We are TWO senior citizens, with 2 cats. During the first 5 years that we had it, we were mostly GONE as the man of the house was still working full time (Explosive Ordinance Disposal). Extremely disappointed with this sofa, as I and my family have bought La-Z-Boy furniture for more than 50 years. My previous sofa (bought 20 years ago) is still being used today. Will not buy this brand again... The store that it was bought from is no longer in business, and now I see why.
After the awful time that we had getting it to start with (it was several MONTHS before we finally got delivery of it!!!), I should have known something even worse would happen. I do not have the receipt, but you can see from the pictures this IS La-Z-Boy. The pictures also show the extreme wear/fading of the fabric, and how the pilling and threadbare is also severe. Will NEVER buy this brand again.

We bought La-Z-Boy Sofa, Loveseat, and recliner in March of 2014 after a bad experience with leather furniture from a competitor. The leather in that case started to peel, spot and fade. We told our La-Z-Boy salesman about that and he stated it was due to poor materials and we wouldn't have to worry about that with La-Z-Boy. Almost 2 1/2 years later, and the headrest of our leather recliner is peeling. I called the DFW service center and was told that it wasn't a mechanical issue with the structure of the chair so they couldn't cover it, but that I should call Guardian since we had the extra warranty.
I called Guardian who said it was a manufacturing defect, so they won't cover it either. So, since I'm left holding the bag for poor manufacturing from La-Z-Boy I'll also comment on the fabric sofa and loveseat we purchased at the same time. The fabric has been fantastic, very comfortable. The stitching, however, has come undone in several places (on the recliner also). Thankfully, it isn't in places that I would deem important to the integrity of keeping the fabric in place. More along the line of cosmetic locations. We specifically went to La-Z-Boy due to old furniture that was given to us after my wife and I were married. It was great! Wish we never parted with it. Very sturdy, solid, and didn't tear or come un-stitched. The quality has definitely taken a nosedive with the La-Z-Boy of today. Furthermore, if it is their policy to swap blame to avoid taking care of their customers in the long haul, then I'm out as a La-Z-Boy customer.

With my son pushing me, I bought the sofa and recliners from La-Z-Boy. A few years ago, a had another set too. There was nobody else in the store but me when I went there which was to my advantage. The girl who waited on me was Jolly and she had different chairs and sofas for me to try. When I went back a second time, we narrowed it down to two or three choices. We tried them again to really pick out what I wanted.
The only thing I was really surprised with was when I went to go purchase everything, some stuff were shoved in front of my face like the cleaning solution and something else. They didn't tell me about all these extra little cleaning things. One of their staff, Caitlin, who was very nice brought extra things to put in the house. One thing was a tray that was almost $200. I didn't take it and she had a little bit of an attitude. Other than that, I love my purchase. I would recommend La-Z-Boy but I would tell everybody to be aware that they could be a little pushy for certain things, so buyers have to know what they want. It was a very nice experience on the whole.

My husband liked La-Z-Boy so we purchased a sectional and a sofa from them. They delivered our purchase and the crew was very cordial. Our furniture are superb and we like it. We got them at a reasonable cost and we're very happy.

The couch we had was hurting my husband's back so we purchased some recliners from La-Z-Boy. The sales representative was wonderful. She helped us pick fabrics. The delivery team was really good as well. They arrived on time, placed the furniture, and cleaned up the mess.

Very disappointed and exhausted. Ordered a sectional back around mid May. We had to postpone delivery for about 4 weeks due to delays in our basement being finished. They were accommodating to that schedule. However recliners on both sides of the sectional were not working properly. We refused delivery of one side because it was not working at all. They scheduled comfort care to come repair that piece 3 weeks after delivery. Meanwhile my husband noticed the back on the piece we did have seemed incorrect. He called the store and told them that it seemed they put the backs on the wrong sides. They couldn't reschedule the delivery at that time because the piece was not showing in their computer.
It took about a week before we could get it rescheduled. Finally had it redelivered and the backs were on the wrong sides but the recliner still wouldn't work and we noticed that the fabric had been torn on the back of the piece we refused. So we refused it a second time. Took about 2 weeks for anyone at the store to be able to tell us where the piece was/how long we'd have to wait etc. After a few weeks they called and told us to schedule delivery. We sat around for our 3 hour delivery window and no one showed up. We talked to the salesman and it took him about a half hour to be able to tell us he had no idea what was going on.
Finally on Tuesday I was able to talk to someone at the store and she pretty much told me that we should not have scheduled delivery. I told her that we only scheduled it because they called and told us it was ready. Again numerous calls to the store and we can't find anyone who seems to care. One girl told me that it was retail and they don't really get paid enough to escalate or get too involved. The store says to work with comfort care and comfort care told us we need to work with the store. So frustrating!
Fast forward to today - delivery attempt #4. The recliner isn't working properly still and where the fabric is torn the repair was done with a different color stitching. (it's on the back of the couch but will not back to a wall so will be visible). We call the store and spoke to the manager and he basically said there is nothing they can do. We need to wait until our salesman is back in the store and try to work through him. So we are at about 2 months since our initially delivery - almost 5 months since we ordered it and we have half a couch. We were told today that we can't get a refund even though they led us to believe that if it wasn't right today that we could just get our money back and move on. They have our money and we just keep getting the run around. No one will take accountability and fix the issue. Will never order anything from them or recommend them to anyone. We just want what we paid for!!

I had a family member that had gotten some recliners recently from La-Z-Boy and I liked them. So I went on the Labor Day weekend sale twice. I had a great sales guy the first time and went back and met with a young lady the second time and she was awesome. And they had saved everything in the computer what I was looking at. And they were both very good.
I like the quality of La-Z-Boy, so far. I do have one negative thing and I'm still trying to figure it out. My recliners, when the delivery guys first put them in and I would sit on it, they wouldn't open up. And the delivery guy said, "Oh, you have plush carpet. I think it's rubbing against your carpet." So, he extended all the legs as far as they can go. And it definitely helped, but I kinda have to forcefully try to push backwards to get them to open up sometimes.

We've had La-Z-Boy chair in our home for 30 years or longer but we decided to give it away. We didn't go with La-Z-Boy for a while and now we're just getting back into it. We got the sofa and loveseat. The sales representative at their gallery were nice and considerate. They explained the products and warranties. The salespeople were very attentive to me, would call me up and give me updates about what was going on with the furniture. They were very forthright with what they were saying. We did not actually go in wanting to purchase. We did not realize that they had the more modern-looking sofas, which is what we were interested in but we actually ended up picking one out and buying it. It was a good sales experience overall.
We had it delivered at home. The crew helped me move the sofa that was there and they installed the new furniture. We had a very good experience with them as well. It's frustrating however that it took a long time for the furniture to actually get to us because it was a color that the showroom did not have in stock. So we couldn't actually see what the color was gonna look like in the model that we wanted.
The quality is good so far but there's a little bit of an issue on reclining the seat. The back is not supposed to come out very far so that it's supposed to slide down, but it doesn't do that as well as it's supposed to and has actually ripped a part of the couch on the side already by scratching the wall. So we've had to pull the sofas further out from the wall so that we can actually recline. That makes it difficult because they actually slide on our hardwood floors. The back isn't also supposed to extend back further than a couple of inches behind the seat when trying to recline. There's a mechanism there and it seems like everything is very loose that I rock back and forth. There's also a clicking noise which I was a little bit taken aback by. When paying a significant amount of money for a couch, I'd want it to be a stable recliner but it kinda feels like it's not.
But overall, the quality is fine. I like the fact that it's American-made. It's also a relatively comfortable couch. I was expecting it to be larger and more comfortable because I'm a larger person in terms of height. Several of the other ones that I've sat in go all the way down to below the mid-calf in terms of where the extension of the footrest goes. Unfortunately, this one is more like almost at my knee so it's weird. But it's a modernist-looking couch so that's part of it all.

Bought sofa and love seat, salesman talked us into a more expensive one, on interest free credit. Not a problem, we liked the furniture. It arrived on time, but one of the motors that power the recliner didn't work and some of the stitching on the front was pulled and all gathered up. Service eventually got us a new motor (after I declined an old one) and fixed the gathering in the fabric. One of the recliner seats would not go back down after use. I was told this is normal if there is something stuck. There wasn't anything stuck.
After a couple of visits I was shown how to punch, yes punch, with both fists, the seat back into position. This is also apparently normal after every use. My son fixed it for me with just a minor adjustment. The stitching came undone in two places. After months of being ignore they finally came and fixed it. It looks OK, but you can tell it's been fixed. I will never buy from them again. The quality is not good, the after sales service is terrible and the service guy is a patronizing incompetent. Never ever, use the Barrie Store.

Conner Reclina-Way chair arrived difficult to recline. Service repair resulted in broken footrest. Repeated calls for service. Problem still not resolved. Could not be more disappointed in the product or the service. Will never buy anything from this company again.

My husband sat on his recliner and the springs popped. We then bought a new one from La-Z-Boy. The quality of the furniture we got is fantastic. I feel like I got what I paid for. We also bought a chair and a half with an Ottoman from them thirteen years ago. I only have one complaint but it's not with the two recliners. The stuffing in the back cushion of our chair and a half is giving in. I've done everything I was told. It doesn't keep its shape, and nobody can repair it. I contacted La-Z-Boy and nobody could seem to help me. They can't order it. I have to take it somewhere and get it repaired. That product did not hold up. Other than that, we still went back to La-Z-Boy.
There is a La-Z-Boy store in the town we live in, which is in Wilmington in North Carolina, and the experience was terrible. In a nutshell, the recliner I wanted is no longer being made and I told them I need to know the color of the other one. They didn't even know that the color was on the tag at the back of the chair. They were trying to tell me a number. Eventually, they said they didn't know since it's in a box in a warehouse. I was not happy with the Wilmington store. I asked them if they could locate that chair in another store, but they said that it was the only chair there is. I then told them I'd pay for it. When I was walking out, I pulled the guy back there and I said I'm not purchasing it. Somebody who took the price tag off ripped it, so I canceled the order. Then, he tried to sell me one that was returned in the back. He took me to the back. The chair was returned because the mechanism is not acting right, and he tried to sell it to me.
I was calling around to different La-Z-Boy stores and there was a gentleman in the Raleigh store that took his time and spoke with me. I ordered everything over the phone through him, and he had everything for me. He went above and beyond. Everything was ordered exactly. It was delivered on time without all the extra charges that the Wilmington store was saying I had to have. The exact same chair was cheaper in Raleigh. The delivery crew was phenomenal.
I will not ever step foot in the Wilmington store, and I will discourage anybody from going there. I would recommend the Raleigh store. I like the La-Z-Boy product, and I found the customer service in Raleigh to be phenomenal. I will go all the way to that store to purchase any other furniture I need. In fact, I will work with any of the three La-Z-Boy stores currently in Raleigh.

We were in need of a couple of side chairs, however, I really didn't know what I wanted or if I wanted it right away and it was taking me a long time. The La-Z-Boy sales people were all very helpful, and patient, and weren't pushy at all. They gave me the information and I went with it. They were right there when I needed them such as to price out a particular fabric on a particular chair.
The coffee table and two end tables that I bought had rock bottom prices and were definitely my style. They were on the floor and probably regularly priced at $900, but marked down to $400 or $300. I couldn't believe the price that I had to take it out of the store and wasn't gonna have it delivered but I did get some help which was nice. So far, the quality of my purchase is beautiful and I'm treating it like gold. The cat likes it too. I'm going to cover it with plastic so the cat doesn't scratch it. I was expecting my first bill two months ago but I called once and they said it would be sometime at the end of September that I'd get it.

I bought a sectional that took almost 5 months to arrive and when it did the cushions all caved in within three days and we are even overweight people!!! Upon complaining they sent a guy out who ripped open the inside cushions added more stuffing and let even broke a zipper and never fixed it!! I called the store back the next day and asked for my money back and they refused, said they would order me another!!! That took another 10 weeks and it came and the same thing happened!! The cushions caved in so I contacted them again and asked for my money back of which I was told sorry but due to a family death no one was there to approve it so they would just order me a new one and ask for the cushion to be filled firmer!!!
After another few months the next one came of which they supposedly had specifically checked and it said it was better so they delivered it!!! I called as one cushion was ripped and the recliner wouldn't go up so out came the guy again!!! He informed me a piece must has gotten bent in shipping so they would order a whole new recliner!!! Of course not!! After another 6 weeks I get a call saying the piece was in to fix it so out he came to fix it!!! I still stated the recliner lever was quite stiff and he said it would loosen over time!!! Never did!!!
Now it broke off last Wednesday and I called Thursday morning and they said someone would call and come out to fix it!!! So far no one has even called to arrange it and when you call the store no one ever answers the phone!!! Apparently I'm not the only one thoroughly disgusted with La-Z-Boy quality or service here in Nanaimo!!! To pay $3800 for a couch that starts to cave in after three days and extra for nicer material that is wearing like a 20 yr old piece of furniture is not acceptable. Also upon checking online reviews there is an overwhelming amount of complaints for the same sectional orders done at the same time as mine so it should have just been recalled and sent back to the factory and money refunded!

My wife and I bought a couch set over a year ago and have continuously called to get the seat cushions replaced. We have replaced all seat cushions and added padding to the backs. The couches still hurt our backs and the seats still continue to droop. We are at the point to where we want to get rid of these couches and get something else. These couches have destroyed our lives for over a year! We will not recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone we know and will tell our story!

We purchased a sofa, Ottoman, and recliner from La-Z-Boy but we declined the couch because of some flaws in the leather. So, we only had the recliner and sofa and we love it. My husband was also very happy with his previous La-Z-Boy. In the interim, we had a different product that we weren't happy with so we went back to La-Z-Boy for this purchase. At the time, both salespeople and delivery people were pleasant and I wouldn't have a problem doing business with either force again. They were all friendly, patient and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience from the start to the end. I would recommend La-Z-Boy.

We ordered a brand new chair, was told four to six weeks. Less than a week later we received a chair. The delivery boy hit the doorway, hit a ceiling fixture, dropped the chair. A repairman from La-Z-Boy showed us that the chair was broken, and had been built in 2014. It was a used showroom chair. We went in, were told we would get a brand new chair; 45-60 days. Less than two weeks later, email. Chair is ready and we only have to pay 877.20 to get it. Nothing on the broken ceiling fixture.

I have an interest in quality furniture so I purchased from La-Z-Boy. I got two sofas and a loveseat, and I was very confident and comfortable with how they handled the sale. It met our needs. However, the delivery was challenging for us. When my husband received the furniture they had marks and something was broken. The delivery crew didn't seem to know 100% how to report all that. I thought it was unusual that my husband directed the communication process on how to handle defective furniture. He was the one who led the interaction, and encouraged them to take pictures.
A technician came out and had ordered parts, but he came a month ago and we still haven't had our furniture fixed. According to my husband, he did an okay job in fixing it. I don't know what's the response of his report. I followed up with La-Z-Boy two weeks ago and they said the technician is waiting for the parts, but there has been no intervention in the process. There's something going on with the communication that I can't identify.

My husband always wanted to try an automated recliner and for his comfort, we decided to get a power recliner and a regular one. The sales rep, Samantha, was wonderful. I went there about a week before I made the purchase but I realized that La-Z-Boy always has a Labor Day Sale. I told her I would be back and when I did, I specifically asked for her. I am really happy with my purchases. The delivery people were so efficient. I thought they would have to cut a corner around my bed to get the electronic one in the bedroom where I wanted it, but it was not a problem. They had the recliners up on their shoulders like they weighed like a feather.
I have five La-Z-Boy in my house and the one that was replaced was 35 years old. When I wanted to move the one chair which was locked in, I went on their website to see how to unlock the top from the bottom and also to get an idea when I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted before I went to the store.

We should have realized immediately something was wrong with the recliner when the delivery person kept telling us it was our carpet that was too plush and causing the recliner to be difficult to operate. He suggested we get lifts for the legs of the couch.
After he left we also noticed that when looking at the couch from an angle it was much lower on one side. We also showed this to the tech. When assessing the problem the tech pulled all the material off stapled to the wood frame in the rear of the couch. After the tech verified the frame was bent we placed several calls to our Store Farmingdale NY where we were told we could not have the couch replaced only repaired and they would have to do this in our house on our new carpet and the material off the couch. When discussing this with the rep and stating that this was a new couch and that is ridiculous she hung up on us and we had no further contact.
We since went to our credit card company to stop the charges. We still have hear nothing and it is going on 3 months but they did tell the credit card company that they order a part which as it turns out never got ordered cause it was the wrong part to begin with. Really is this the way you work things out with customers. I will never buy a La-Z-Boy piece of furniture again and just for your own knowledge Bob's discount furniture has no problem replacing faulty furniture. I will continue to fight this with my credit card company and the girl at the Farmingdale showroom should be fired. Extremely unprofessional.

I've had my furniture for 22 years and so I've decided to purchase a new one. The original saleslady at La-Z-Boy was a sweetheart. She was so nice and pleasant. But I ended up being turned over to the decorator who was great. She put everything together for me very nicely. They delivery team were really nice but they put a nick on my hardwood floor.

When we went to the store, La-Z-Boy's sales reps introduced themselves and we walked and looked around. Any questions, they helped us. We tried to make our decision and purchased a chair. Then we went back because we had a couch but we were looking to get another piece and I guess that was discontinued. So we just decided to get something a little different. We bought things that were in stock and didn’t change any material or get something that takes a long time. It was the color that was in stock so it was good.
The delivery was only a couple of days after we made the purchase. I only work five minutes away from my house so I asked if they can call, instead of me sitting around for three hours and waiting. Both times they called me, and within 20 minutes they were there. I was out in 10 minutes so it was great. Everything was good and smooth. It was an easy, quick and painless experience with La-Z-Boy.

We redid our basement and purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy. The sales rep was really good and very helpful. We like the designer who came out beforehand and helped measure and ensure that the sofa would fit. She offered up a lot of suggestions like some accent pillows. We really appreciated her coming to do that. It was a nice service offered. Unfortunately, we had a flood in our basement. Thankfully, the sofa was not damaged at all and La-Z-Boy is holding on to the other half of it for us. So that part hasn’t been delivered yet. Overall, we haven’t utilized the sectional very much yet but so far, we’re really happy with it.

About 3 months ago I purchased a Mackenzie sofa in La-Z-Boy's premiere line. I told the salesperson I needed firmer cushions because of my back. She said the only upgraded cushion was on a recliner. I have since learned there was a pink sofa at the entrance of the store that had upgraded cushions. Also, it's clear that sitting on a recliner is not the same as sitting on a 3 cushion sofa. I believe the salesperson knew this and lead me to a cushion that would be firmer than the sofa cushion upgrade. I bought the sofa based on this information and paid $300 extra for the upgrade. After the sofa was delivered it didn't take me long to realize the upgraded cushions were not an improvement over the standard cushions. When I sat down the cushion slowly collapsed by 4".
After looking at the frame, I was astonished to find a 5" gap where the springs drop off under the cushions beneath the back. A well constructed sofa would have the springs run flush with the bottom of the back. The cushion upgrade consisted of nothing more than thin layers of memory foam on top of memory foam providing no long term support. Sitting on the cushions was like being in a slow elevator going down. Standard cushions were simply over stuffed to the point they didn't fit the sofa. I did all the necessary things: a repairman looked at the sofa and took pictures. And a very rude la-z-boy representative called and said the cushions were within spec and offered to send someone out to look at the springs. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know they weren't going to rebuild the springs so the sofa was partially functional.
Additionally, by the time I talked to this person I had, at my expense, taken all the crap out of the cushions and replaced it with real upholstery foam. I also had a foam bolster made to fill the 5" gap of the springs where they dropped off under the cushions. It was necessary for me to do this as quickly as possible if I wanted a place to comfortably sit.
Be very careful when buying from La-z-boy or, better yet, don't ever buy from La-z-boy. They have one standard frame that they use on all sofas and their cushion upgrades are just overstuffed original cushions. This sofa cost, with tax, $1700 not counting my modifications. This has been an expensive and extremely disappointing experience. I hope no one else falls for la-z-boy's false sales tactics and crude furniture.

I moved in to a new apartment and bought a recliner and sofa from La-Z-Boy. The sales reps were really great. We talked about room layout and what I was looking for, and they were really helpful. They came out and it was really nice. It took me a while to make a decision, but they were so patient. We talked about maybe putting the type of fabric of the couch that I end up getting, and making it custom for another piece. Then they priced all that out for me. The delivery was good and quick. They gave me a call to let me know that they were so far out. Then once they arrived, they gave me a call again, I came down, and everything was fast. They ended up staying a little bit after. It was the end of day, but they had $100 off that day only, so they stayed a little late so I could complete the sale and everything. I apologized, and they said it was no problem. They were just happy to get me all set up.

Run don't walk away. Try Steinhafels instead. I placed my order in the store for a power reclining sofa. I was called to set up a delivery date three weeks after my order was placed. I agreed to the three week window. I have always heard that La-Z-Boy stands behind their products and have a certain level of standardization for customer service. Two months of living with my power recline sofa, I noticed a "smudging" of the leather stain. It was fading in an unusual pattern. I called for service and a service representative was sent to my home one week later.
He came out and took pictures of my sofa and agreed that the staining was "off". He said he would return to the office for an investigation. One week and two days later, I received a phone call from La-Z-Boy stating that this was not covered under any warranty. I spoke with a supervisor and she instructed me that she was "100% sure that this was not a manufacturing error." I "must have spilled something and tried to clean it up." This did not happen. I am very dissatisfied with the service of La-Z-Boy and I will never purchase another product from their organization again.

We bought a number of La-Z-Boy products, that were delivered on 2/17/2015. 1 year and 7 months later I noticed that the dye on the leather was rubbing off. This was a Astor Reclina-Rocker at $2,170. We have had leather in our autos for decades and they will get dirty but the dye doesn't rub off. We have a large leather sectional sofa and Swedish recliner chairs that also are leather. Since it is over 1 year tough luck. We would have to pay big bucks to get the leather replaced and would probably be the whole chair so it would match. We went with La-Z-Boy because they have such a great reputation and the quality of the furniture. We have recommended La-Z-Boy to many other people. We will not be doing this anymore. It will be stay away because of poor materials.

Purchased a new recliner from Edina Mn La-Z-Boy Store and 6 weeks later there's a run in the fabric. Went to the store with a picture on my iPad of the problem and they said someone would call me within 48 hours. 3 days later I'm still waiting for a call! We bought a chair in the Tacoma WA Store. We moved to Longview WA. Our chair leg lift mechanism broke. We paid for a warranty. We were told we needed to bring the bottom of the chair back to Tacoma Store and store would arrange to get it fixed. This was not very reasonable given the distance. We were referred to an independent furniture repair service after several phone calls to send a technician to our home. It took months to get an appointment scheduled.
Technician arrives not to fix the chair but to figure out what was wrong. We made it clear what was wrong. All he did was get his cell phone out and take pictures of the bottom of the chair and left. We didn't hear back for weeks and we called and now have a second appointment to get chair fixed almost a month and a half from now. It shouldn't be this complicated to get a chair repaired. We have a local store that sells La-Z-Boy but we were told we could go through them and have the warranty cover the cost.

La-Z-Boy seemed like a good brand. The recliner cost a little more than I expected but the quality is there. I like it except when I go back, it doesn't go back all the way and seemed like it wants to go forward again. But their sales rep was very nice and helpful and the delivery team was fine.

We went to La-Z-Boy and they treated us good. They've spent a lot of time with us when we were trying to decide whether to get a pull out bed or just the recliner. We decided to get the couch with the recliners in it, which is great. Now, we got two recliners that they can sleep on, besides the floor space. In addition, we have a loveseat that needs to be fixed. A gentleman came out, took all kinds of measurements and made adjustments to the loveseat. Also, some parts need to be replaced so we're waiting for those to be shipped here. When it arrives we will call La-Z-Boy to put the new parts in. Lastly, the color of our loveseat is not the color that we wanted in the store, but it's not a problem.

Last March my husband and I bought a couch and recliner from the Lansing, MI La-Z-Boy Store. We were told that we would be receiving a rebate in the form of a gift card and we would receive something in the mail to choose one from. It is now the end of September and after several emails and numerous phone calls telling us it would be resolved, we still haven't gotten any thing from them. Not even a phone call. I get that it's only $100.00 gift card, but at this point it isn't about the money at all, but about the customer service. Maybe next time I'll take my business to Art Van.

We needed additional chairs and we have a leather La-Z-Boy chair that we've worn out after 15 years of use. It's my husband's favorite and he got a ton of use out of it before it was pretty much defunct. We're still using it but the mechanism needs to be tightened and there are rips in the leather. I'm looking for someone to repair and reupholster it because I don't want to get rid of the chair. So we went shopping on Father's day and ended up special ordering stuff a specific color combination of the leather and the wood. We ordered two different chairs, one for general use and one to replace the worn out one.
The sales rep was terrific and helpful. She gave us exactly what we needed and offered just enough additional information without pushing hard, which is one of the things that I had really appreciated about La-Z-Boy in general and the reason why I would go back and shop in that store again. I really liked the people and they're very helpful and knowledgeable. I had used the Annapolis store the first time and the one in Millersville, for the second set of purchases. We had a high-end, major remodel and had our kitchen torn apart for almost four months so it was everything everywhere in the house. The delivery team was very careful, very thorough and did exactly what I asked them to do as far as placement of the furniture and moving pieces around. They set one chair in place where I wanted and then put the other one where I wanted it stored temporarily. I was very happy with the service.
The quality of the chairs is excellent and I love it. Also, the price is very fair. I have spent more in previous years when I bought a sectional that had multiple recliners on it from Natuzzi, which is second to none, beautiful piece of furniture. But the first of the recliner portions busted out after about seven years. I was willing to spend more money on the Natuzzi but their reclining mechanism is nothing like that of the La-Z-Boy. There's nothing else out there in the market like it. I looked at everything literally. I could've gone to Direct Buy and ordered high-end furniture but I chose La-Z-Boy, so it was a thoughtful purchase and we're very happy with La-Z-Boy.

Our old furniture is wearing out. We went to different furniture stores and La-Z-Boy is where we found the sectional that caught our eyes. We were the only customers in the store then and the store manager came over and interjected himself. We bought a La-Z-Boy recliner about three years ago. In just 18 months the color started coming off the back near the head and on the foot rest. Somehow a $1000 piece of furniture should last more than a year. The mechanism is still fine and it is still comfortable. It just looks awful. My parents had several leather recliners they bought from La-Z-Boy 10-12 years ago and they still look new. We were told the discoloration was due to normal wear and not covered by the warranty. We did purchase the Guardian Leather protection plan. We will not buy La-Z-Boy again which is too bad because we used to love it.

We purchased a pair of La-Z-Boy power recliners from D-Noblin furniture in Pearl, MS and took delivery the first week of December 2014. One chair cost $1400 the other $1800. In less than two years time the $1800 dollar chair reclining mechanism broke a weld in the metal frame which in turn caused other breakage of the reclining mechanism. I am disappointed in the fact that a product made in the USA that cost almost $2K has such shoddy workmanship. To top that off the plant where the chair was manufactured is less than 50 miles from where I live. The chair will be taken back to the original place of purchase and I will find out if La-Z-Boy will truly stand behind their advertised "Life Time" warranty of reclining mechanism. This is NOT a review of D-Noblin Furniture but rather a review of the quality of a La-Z-Boy product.

I purchased a La-Z-Boy Power rocker recliner with a cost of nearly $1000.00, to replace an older recliner of a different brand. I wish I had my old recliner back. I am 6' tall, when I sit in the chair it rocks back and my feet don't rest on the floor. The chair seems to be good quality. However, I am not satisfied with it. The La-Z-Boy store will not take it back because it was a floor model sale on this past Labor Day. I am not satisfied with my purchase.

I have a sunroom that has a big chair in it which belongs to my daughter. She would like it back eventually and there was no second chair if anybody else comes over. We were pulling a dining room chair in for anybody extra to sit there so I bought a chair and a half (a loveseat would be too big) with an ottoman and a little chair to go along with it from La-Z-Boy in Severn. Their sales representatives were absolutely wonderful and very helpful.
I also bought a complete set of living room furniture in April from a different store, in Annapolis. I bought a Leighton sofa, a loveseat, and a rug that went with it. It was done by the design crew as was the one from Severn. I also bought two very big and heavy lamps which I really like. When turned on however, there is this visible white stuff, which to me takes away from it. So I went back to the Annapolis store and they were very willing to work with me. They told me that I could swap them for the lamps in Severn if I go up there and see that the lamps are the same. I went and the lamps were just like mine. I think it's blown glass so there's white in the glass. So I'm keeping the lamps, people sitting there probably don't even notice anyway. The sales people of La-Z-Boy were so nice and accommodating. They helped me figure out what I might want, so the whole experience has been very positive.

We bought from La-Z-Boy due to the 'made in America' hype shown in stores. Very unsatisfied with our sofa and loveseat from day one which was 4 years back. The saleswoman lied to us that it is a memory foam sofa. We have been uncomfortable on the sofa as the seats and back support are non existent or 'sinking' causing us terrible back pain. The fabric threads are ripping apart. The armrest cushion 'broke' with normal use. All that remains is the wood. Called sales manager, service manager, multiple calls up to no avail. Very frustrated.

We bought 2 La-Z-Boy recliners adding up to almost $3,000. They only had one in the warehouse, so we had to waited 2 weeks because we wanted both delivered at the same time (we requested and were told that the one in inventory will be marked and held for us). Upon delivery, only one arrived, and no one bothered to give us a courtesy call to inform us we were only to get one. I told the delivery people, two were ordered. I had to get our paperwork to show them, then call the store etc... The store did not call back. Went there and found out we had to wait another 4 to 6 weeks (they have our money already). Secondly, the smell is horrendous, and we have to physically air it out (we are on our third day). My wife actually got a headache and felt nauseous!
When something is purchased it should be available and ready to sit on. If we are to buy anything further from your company we need to get our second chair expedited to us in a timely manner and substantial compensation for a future purchase. We were actually considering a couch of the same type but after this experience it's unlikely.

We have had the worst experience anyone could ever have. The chair was dropped from the delivery vehicle and damaged. My husband went back to the store and complained. The staff there have tried to resolve the matter, we are now waiting for another chair which is a special order. An upgrade. It should be delivered on Sept. 24, let's see if that delivery turns out better than the last one.

We hadn’t had recliners in a long time so we decided to purchase new furniture. La-Z-Boy's sales rep was very nice. However, the only problem was when she wrote it up, she forgot to put that we needed the lumbar and the head tilt on it, so when the chairs came, they didn't have those on. They took them away for two weeks so we had to sit on some lawn chairs but they got the new chairs done as quick as possible. If they could have just left them till I got the new ones, it would have been nice. We had more people than usual here at this time in my house so we didn’t have enough seating. But the quality's fantastic because we got a leather but not the very top grain. The other one is very supple and comfortable. They were wonderful but the cost is very high.

In June 2014, we purchased a La-Z-Boy 3-seat reclining sofa. Had an issue with the foam during the 1st year and it was replaced at no charge. Now 2 years and 3 months later, the left recliner is leaning 2 inches further back than the center seat and right recliner. I call Customer Care and was told it would cost me $109 for a technician to come out and inspect it even though there is obviously a problem with the frame/mechanism. WHAT??? I bought a La-Z-Boy because I was told by the store personnel the frame and mechanisms were covered under a lifetime warranty.
The CSR in Customer Care said I could take a picture of the sofa and they would determine what was wrong and send me the parts free of charge BUT I would still have to pay $109 for a technician to install them - or I could do it myself. For real??? And I spent the extra $100 for the fabric warranty which now to me is worthless. The last sofa I purchased wasn't La-Z-Boy and lasted almost 10 years and had to be replaced because the framing cracked and couldn't be repaired. PS My 12 year old Catnapper recliner is STILL in beautiful condition and I sit in it every day.

I purchased a reclining sofa, loveseat, and recliner from Boscov's department store in Camp Hill on 8/10/14. Within a few months, there was a rip at the side of the recliner, where it reclines. I should have insisted, at that time it be replaced. Since the rip would not show, I let it go. Now all the material on the love seat is wearing. The material is chenille, which should not be used on furniture because it easily pulls. After only 2 years, my furniture no longer looks nice. I called Boscov's who sent me to Guardian where I purchased stain protection. They sent me to La-Z-Boy who then referred me back to Boscov's. The real runaround. In short, don't spend the extra for La-Z-Boy. No one stands behind it!!!

The La-Z-Boy rocker/recliner was purchased in October 2015, re-delivery in November 2015; and within 6 months began to squeak. After two service calls and spring replacements the chair continued to squeak and make other noises. So I called their service center (a 17-store franchise in the Dallas area.) Their 1-800 number is so busy you get a voice message from a person that will call you back in 24 hours. When the person calls and if you miss the call, you call them back, leave a message, go back in queue for another 24 hours and so on. So you better be by your phone.
The third time the chair is picked up and taken to their shop and warehouse. Twelve days later the chair is re-tuned with a $108.25 COD. No one told me about the COD. I was able to get the charge waived. Pretty well the entire base and rocker/recliner mechanism were replaced, and no noise yet. Time will tell. The chair was returned with the left back panel pulling away from the corner of the chair. Staples are showing. This leather chair was $1389.00 plus tax. With delivery and a three-year service policy, the total was $1584.74.
On September 15, 2016, I called the Frisco, TX store manager who said he could do nothing other than escalated my case. I think they just want you to give up and go away. News flash! I'm not giving up. We have bought four La-Z-Boys over the last 30 years, but this chair is plagued with problems; and the time you have to spend in getting to talk with someone is terrible. My frustration and dissatisfaction with this franchise and this chair is at an all-time high.

I purchased from La-Z-Boy back in the 80s and recently we purchased furniture from them again. The delivery team did a great job. I was very impressed with the way that the furniture was packaged for delivery and the care that they took when they delivered it. The quality of the furniture is very good. And we've ordered two more pieces of furniture since we had the first set delivered.

Recliner was taken in for second repair of seat springs. Tech said the seat frame and springs needed to be replaced. I asked for the foam in the seat to be replaced because it was half flatten and uneven. I was quoted a three week completion. At three weeks no parts had been received and I was informed that La-Z-Boy no longer used or had the foam for the seat (1999 vintage) and had no replacement. Clearly the unavailablity of a $10 piece of 22x22x3 foam is nonsense. The local service offered a custom replacement for over $200 (the La-Z-Boy replacement was estimated to be $30). I have no order number or receipt because I bought this in about 1999 in Houston TX and the recliner bottom is still at the Service Center awaiting parts. What's at stake? A customer and the integrity of La-Z-Boy when it come to standing behind their product.

I purchased a recliner on Mgr Special on 9/5/16. Was charged for it and delivery on 9/15/16. Guess what? No Delivery, No call from store, No Nothing! I left a message with the store and customer service. Was called back at 10:30 AM by Ashley **, who advised me that delivery was never scheduled!!! I have been charged for both delivery and the chair since 9/5/16!! She advised me that it would be delivered on 9/21/16. I requested that either the charge be taken off my account until the chair was delivered or just cancel the order for non-delivery, or reschedule delivery sooner. This was the store's mistake, not mine! I regret shopping at La-Z-Boy and the store lives up to its name as being Lazy and unconcerned with customer satisfaction!

My husband and I bought a leather reclining sofa and love seat from the Edmonton Westend location, less than two years old. Only my husband and I at home, no kids, no grandkids and the leather is actually deteriorating in front of our eyes, worse and worse each day. Now I was just told to basically get stuffed. We bought one of the most expensive pieces and were told the best leather the longest lasting. No problem. We were assured that it would last a very very long time. Well guess we were not told the truth. The only reason I went back to La-Z-Boy is we have a leather recliner chair that we have had for over 16 years and it is still like brand new. SO now here I am out almost $7000.00 and left with a crappy looking couch.

Don't waste your money on the extra coverage that they try to sell you on your furniture. The company that they use with will not cover wear that the warranty says they will. They denied coverage since I didn't notice some cracking on a leather chair soon enough. The warranty says to notify them as soon as you have any damage, which I did. But they said I should have noticed it sooner. I called as soon as I saw it but they say from the pictures I sent I should have noticed it sooner. Anything they can to get out of covering something. The local La-Z-Boy agrees it should be covered but they won’t help me since they got their money for selling the policy.

The sales lady that I spoke to was very nice. I had home delivery. I was not home when the recliner was delivered but my wife took care of it. The delivery guys took my old one out, put it on the outside, and placed the new one in. My wife didn’t have any complaints so everything went good. The quality of the recliner is great and I would recommend La-Z-Boy.

Bought a bonded leather sofa 2013. Was told at time of purchase sofa material would last for years. Even bought a repair plan. Sofa is peeling now. Was told repair didn't cover peeling. Contacted customer service for owners of the store I purchased sofa and was to!d they could do nothing for me. Contacted customer service for La-Z-Boy and was informed they would not help. And the customer service representative I spoke with was rude. This sofa was not cheap. Almost $2k on sale. I WILL NEVER buy anything from this company again. It's been a good 15 years since we've bought something at La-Z-Boy. We bought a new house and my old furniture did not fit. So we recently got a sofa, recliner, chair, ottoman and some other accessories from them. The sales rep was very respectful and helpful and really knows what she's doing. She was awesome and spot on. She really pushed me to get outside my comfort zone and I'm really glad she did that. We had the items delivered and the delivery team was very good. I love the quality of the items. It's outstanding and the cost was pretty comparable and stayed within our budget. However, we had our furniture custom-made and we got it in 12 weeks which was a little long. But other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

The Maverick Love Seat and Rocker-Recliner are delicious. It is hard to leave the comfort and very easy to rest my eyes for a quick afternoon nap. I have enjoyed La-Z-Boy furniture for the last 16 years. It is made to last and it takes a lot of punishment from kids and pets.

I purchased a sofa from la-Z-Boy 3 years ago. As soon as we got it, a few of the strings went bad. They immediately sent someone to fix it. He fixed it 2 times in the first few months. But I was also not happy with the material on the sofa. I had to shave the sofa with a blade every couple of months. While they tried to help me with that, the person they sent to look at the couch (same person who fixed springs) said "you cannot do anything about it." While I love La-Z-Boy and enjoy the sofa, I wish I was given the option to exchange the couch, especially since we purchased what they already had in storage and it was not custom made. I still own my sofa, but I feel it's going to be one of the first few things I'll change when I redecorate.

We sold our house out in the country and all of our furniture were bought so we needed new ones. We looked around at different places and liked La-Z-Boy's better than what we found at the other stores. Also, they did a very good job with selling their products and keeping me informed of what’s going on. Their sales reps Shela and Nicole were very knowledgeable of their product, had good design concepts, and were very responsive to my questions. We’ve had lots of compliments about the furniture and the way that they put it together. Also, the delivery team were nice people.
However, I’ve bought a lot of furniture over the years and the delivery team was the least good, in terms of bumping things. I have more deliveries coming in and I’m gonna tell Nicole to make them wrap my stairway and doorway. Moreover, they dinged up the furniture so they had to send out a repair guy who came two days ago to fix what they broke. Despite that, I’d recommend them.

Recently, I wore out my old recliner. The leather wore through at the head and the arms after about eight years. It was my first leather but I liked ‘em. They’re really well made and comfortable. So, I went and bought another La-Z-Boy recliner. But I was uncomfortable in that recliner and, Linda was good enough to get me another one. She is one of the best saleswomen I’ve ever worked with in my 70 years. Their reps are so accommodating and they work with the design of our room and all the furniture that we’ve purchased as well as the colors and how it would fit. The designer at the store in Egg Harbor Township worked with my wife and I on the color. With this recent purchase, I just needed a new recliner quickly and they got it for me. It’s been great to work with them. My wife is sound asleep in the recliner right now and it’s also good for me. I can buy cheaper ones but La-Z-Boy seems to be better for me.

On Oct. 2014 we purchased 2 power recliners from the La-Z-Boy store in Ocala, Fl. After 15 months we were disappointed to find one of the recliners was showing signs of deterioration in the headrest. We were aware of the 12-month warranty but decided to discuss the issue with the store where the purchase was made. The store response was, "Sorry, but the 12 months are up but we will send your complaint to the La-Z-Boy Company". Next day the local store called to say the main office said they could give us the address of an outfit that could repair the chair for us. They couldn't give us the cost for this repair. We are disappointed in the quality of these recliners and the response from the local store and the La-Z-Boy Company. Lesson learned - we will not purchase from La-Z-Boy again.

I bought my La-Z-Boy on a whim, a good whim, but still a whim. It was a lovely small rocking recliner in a soft creamy beige. I didn't use it much because when it rocked it made a quite loud cracking noise, also I could not reach the handle with enough pressure to recline the chair. I finally called and within a few days both problems has been addressed and my chair was ready to go. (No charge). Before I had an opportunity to even give it a try I had a complete shoulder replacement. Now I am home and sitting, rocking and for the time being sleeping in my lovely soft La-Z-Boy. And as soon as my shoulder heals and I have a little more strength I will begin to recline. I am so glad that I had that whim. Thank you La-Z-Boy.

I have had about four or five different furniture from La-Z-Boy and recently, I purchased again from them to replace an old couch that's worn out. Their representative came out here, took pictures and showed us how everything we picked out would look in the living room itself, and it's all perfect. That's the first time I've ever done that and that was good. Everything went fine and everybody was great. My exact purchase from them this last time included a recliner, a loveseat, a chair and a table. They are going to call when it's made but the chair and table are supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

I had my sofa and chair for a long time so I thought maybe I could replace it with La-Z-Boy in the same kind of duration like I did the last time. The sales staff was very good however, I'm not entirely satisfied with the comfort of the sofa and the chair I purchased. I wish I had sat in them for a longer period of time. It seems like they don't hold my back as comfortable as the way I wished it. I had to buy pillows and I'm trying to get the comfort that I desire. Maybe I should've gotten something else but they looked good on the floor. However, it's my fault and it had nothing to do with the salesperson or anything.

We love our new furniture however we are still waiting for pick up on a loveseat that needs repair. We waited over 8 weeks for the furniture to arrive and now we have waited over a month for someone to contact us about the repair. Now it will be ANOTHER month before they are picking it up to repair it. For this reason I probably wouldn't purchase or recommend La-Z-Boy to our friends or family. Very disappointed.

I purchased a recliner for about $1000 in 2010. After 6 months, I called to say it went back too far. 6 months later I called again to say someone had fallen off the back. It went back so far and they tell me "Too late it's over a year". I got so mad. I rarely - like once in 3 months - sit in the chair and it makes me so mad to look at it. I called again in 2011 and got no help. In 2012 I tried for help again. I brought it in a few year ago finally frustrated and told they would fix it if I paid for labor. I did that and they said they replaced the part. 2 weeks later I slid off the back again. The one on the floor DOES NOT go back this far. I keep getting told that's normal. It is NOT normal to injure someone. Every party I have to put a danger sign on this chair. I'm once again looking at it and getting mad and want to try one last time to get let La-Z-Boy get it right.
I really don't like this company and the awful customer service - once you give them the money they ignore you. They lead you on to provide all the original paperwork and then at the end do nothing. They promise to "look into it" and take your name and number after a 20 minute call and then claim to know nothing of the call. (I have AT&T phone records to prove). I now sit with a chair that annoys me every time I walk by it. I paid too much to throw it out, but it's too dangerous to sit on because I will slide off the back. They refuse to help but continuously offer for me to bring it in again and I pay labor. No guarantee that they won't make me pay again and then not fix the issue. Do I pour more money into this chair or burn it and boycott La-Z-Boy? Purchase at your own risk. They truly don't care. It's been 6 years for me and I can't get past how disappointed I am and let it go. I really feel wronged here.

La-Z-Boy employee noticed lumps in the cushions of foam during delivery and install of sectional. Said to wait a few weeks to smooth out. When this didn't work the store sent out a service manager to document issue. We were told that we would hear back within a two weeks. Three weeks later we had to call store just to be told that they had nothing to report yet. When we originally purchased the furniture we also had to call back when our order that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks to be delivered took closer to 11 weeks. We are happy with two recliners but the sectional is a lumpy and poorly assembled mess. Communication from La-Z-Boy is poor to nonexistent. Not very pleased with my purchase decision at this point.

I have been trying to get service on my chair. I bought the extended warranty but didn't realize it was a third party company. The sales rep made it sound as if the chair would be serviced by La-Z-Boy. In less than 2 full years the chair has stopped working right - the power control works intermittently, often trapping me in the chair. The battery back up feature doesn't work at all despite new batteries. The foot rest has collapsed to the right and the service company said that isn't covered. This was an expensive chair. I have been buying furniture from you for over 20 years and am very disappointed - in the quality of the product, in the quality of the service and the overall experience. I tried to contact you via your web site without success. Maybe this will work?

It was time to replace our stuff because they were getting old. I had always heard that La-Z-Boy was of high quality and made in the USA. The sales staff was very good while the delivery crew was very professional as well. We love the couch and the love seat and we're thrilled to death. We’re struggling with the power recliner a little bit, and we placed the ticket with their firm to have them come back out because it’s making a lot of clicking noises. The value isn't quite there until we get it right.

We recently bought recliners and a sectional from La-Z-Boy to replace one that we had previously. It was worn when we got rid of it when we moved to a different house and didn’t fit into the lay. To sit on it, it’s showing wear but functionally it’s still comfortable and I’m happy with how it held up which is why when we went shopping again for another one, it was just for the model and the color we wanted. The cost is certainly high but we’ve always been happy with how they hold up. The people that we dealt with at the store were very pleasant. They worked with us quite some time while we were picking out what we wanted and I was extremely happy with the service that we got.
I'm happy with the quality except for the two single recliners. There's a little table between the two chairs and if I lean towards it, the other side of the chair will tip up from side to side. The base where it hits the floor is not as wide as I think it should be. I find a slight problem that when I lean a lot to the side of the chair and the other end picks up the other side.

This is a good piece of furniture. I bought it because I have developed a serious back problem, but I made an error in trying to save money. I tried the power lift chair in the store but bought the one with a lever. Didn't know until I got it home that the lever was nearly at the floor and that was a problem because of my back injury. The store was most willing to take back my mistake and sell me the powered version.

I bought a custom-made glider/rocker and it started squeaking almost immediately. I had the repair man come, he fixed it, it was ok for a couple of months then started squeaking again. I didn't want to spend another $109 so I just didn't use the chair for months, but I couldn't stand the waste so I called the repair man again. He came out and replaced the brackets. It worked for a couple of months but then it started squeaking again.
I still couldn't afford another $109 (I already spend $218) for them to come out once again, so I just didn't have the use of the chair for the past 6 months. Now it's squeaking, squeaking, squeaking again and I have to either throw the $1300 chair away or call the repair man or just let it sit there empty with me fuming every time I look at it. I want it fixed, but I have no hope that if I spend another $109 it will actually work for any length of time. My plan when I bought the chair was to buy another rocker plus a couch. Based on my experience with this chair, I didn't buy them and I won't be buying La-Z-Boy furniture anytime soon.
After 100 years of my family buying and recommending La-Z-Boy chairs, I won't be doing that anymore either. I can't believe how disappointed I am and how after 3 years my chair still looks brand new because nobody can sit in it because it just squeaks, squeaks, squeaks. It makes me sad that a good company like La-Z-Boy can sell such junk. Why after 100 years are the chairs worse instead of better? Is there anything I can do besides keep spending $109 on repairs that don't last and feel so disappointed that I wasted my money?

I recently purchased a power sofa, a loveseat, and a recliner from La-Z-Boy because my other furniture was old. Just now, I had the serviceman come out because the furniture was clicking and there were little threads coming up. He fixed it and he was very nice, informative, and professional. Everything so far is going well.

We recently moved, drove by the store on our search for new furniture, and decided to stop in. The sales rep at the store is very positive, easy going, helpful, knowledgeable and we're very pleased with the interaction. We are still waiting for the delivery of the furniture, and were told the delivery would be in four weeks, so we're still within that time frame.
We used to hear that La-Z-Boy offer complimentary like design counsel, and we scheduled someone to come out to the house simply to make sure that the furniture would fit because it was a pretty long piece. And, the designer came out to the house and gave us some pointers as far as different fabrics that we could use or different pieces that we could have afterwards, so that was different than what we expected and it was a positive experience.

We went into the La-Z-Boy store and dealt with two salespeople first. Then their designer came to our house and had some ideas. So we had to go back into the store to look at 3D virtual representation and at the materials. But I’ve had big problems with the process. There should have been a followup in-home to show me the materials I selected in the physical location, not just in the shop using a 3D computer simulation. And the other main problem with them is that they show me things that are in-stock but it still takes them four to seven weeks to get things delivered. But quality-wise, the furniture is pretty good. There was one issue with one of the recliners squeaking a while, but that’s been resolved. They sent out a technician but by the time he got there, it wasn’t squeaking anymore. Also, their delivery team was very good, on time and gave us a warning call 30 minutes in advance.

I ordered ~$5,000 of furniture in Feb. 2016. I was told it would be delivered in April. It was not delivered until June 2016. After using the Rowan Rocker Recliner for 2 weeks the left side chair stopped reclining all the way, the foot rest stopped raising to its full height, and the chair twisted to the left. I was on vacation in Europe after it started doing this and when I came home I called customer service on Sept. 1. I was then told, for the first time, that because we lived outside of San Antonio we did not get in-home service. We would have to load our furniture in a truck and drive it into San Antonio. Then maybe it would look be looked at but there was no guarantee of when or whether it would be serviced.
I told the man who called me that this was the first time I had heard of this. He said, in quite a snarky tone of voice, "look at your paper work. It is right there." I looked at my paperwork and there is nothing there about not receiving service because of our location. I have now called the store on two subsequent days and have requested calls back from my salesman and the store manager. I have not received any return phone calls. I will continue to review La-Z-Boy on social media so others can be made aware of this misrepresentation, poor quality product, and poor customer service.

I've had La-Z-Boy for about 20 years. I purchased a new furniture since I needed a chair that was comfortable for the back and it does help. The sales staff were fantastic. I had it delivered and the delivery team were very good. They explained certain things to me when I asked questions and the furniture is of good quality. Everything is too expensive in my book but La-Z-Boy is a good company to deal with.

Bought a recliner and sofa a couple of years ago and the recliner has discoloured. Reached out to La-Z-Boy and got the usual runaround you would expect from a discount store, not a NAME company like La-Z-Boy. I have owned numerous leather products before and never have any discoloured in the first two years. BUYER BEWARE, La-Z-Boy not the quality products they represent.

They're probably the most gracious people we've been in contact with. When we were in the store, the sales rep greeted me and took her time to explain everything, so we were in there for quite a while. She took us all around and didn’t rush us. We bought recliners, a sofa and three tables because we just moved and left our furniture at the other house. But we haven't got our new furniture yet because we've been moving and we're still trying to get our boxes emptied before we'd have the furniture delivered. She called us to check on how things were going. I told her that we had a problem with our delivery people and getting into the house. We couldn’t take the furniture until the end of the month and she said that was fine, she just wanted to check and make sure everything’s all right. She was really nice.

After five weeks of use, one of the two chairs we purchased failed. A bolt fell out of the recliner hardware under the chair which allowed the foot rest to not be supported on one side. After review I feel the bolt was left loose by the manufacturer. The wear pattern confirmed this in my mind. It was fixed by service people. I hope it lasts. I will check both chairs on a weekly basis to try and prevent an recurrence of this problem. Needless to say this was the first time we purchased La-Z-Boy furniture and are somewhat disappointed.

La-Z-Boy double reclining sofa with fold down table - I just sent my three year old sofa made by La-Z-Boy to charity. The unit was still in perfect shape and looked great. The problem was comfort. La-Z-Boy must have used inexpensive foam padding. After sitting for twenty minutes it became very uncomfortable. You could feel hard wood throughout the sofa. In fact my toddler grandson hit his head so hard on the arm of the sofa. You could hear it across the room. I have owned multiple pieces of La-Z-Boy furniture all my life, with happy sitting. I don't know what has happened to the company. I got the brush off at the Escondido, California store when I explained the problem some time ago. I hope this helps someone else from making a bad purchase.

When looking for furniture, I found that you can either go to a high-end name brand store (also high-price), or you can go to one of the many chain stores which all seem to have slightly different variations of the same types of generic-name furniture. La-Z-Boy seems to have found a happy medium. I was not in the market for heirloom quality, but I quickly tired of the same reiterations from the many similar stores. La-Z-Boy seemed to have a good number of choices meant for everyday use and their sales staff is not overzealous with up-sell tactics... very refreshing.

The couch and chair are beautiful. The delivery was not. They dropped the 2 couch cushions and 2 pillows on the back patio that is being built, so they got a bit dirty. The truck driver also ran over my bush at the top of the driveway and destroyed it. I left a message with company but have not been contacted. The delivery guys said they would let their boss know.

The rep we dealt with was very nice and knowledgeable, and their delivery team was also phenomenal. I have a leather La-Z-Boy recliner and I was looking for an upgraded chair - something a little bit longer. The chair I purchased is very, very disappointing. It came in recycled leather. It wasn’t real leather and I can’t slide back on it. I’m actually using my old chair and not really enjoying the other chair at all. It’s a beautiful chair and it’s just sitting there. I’m handicapped because I have problems walking. I have a bad hip and I have a very hard time moving to the back of the seat. I’m sorry to say that because I love their products and I wish they could re-cover it in leather for me.

CUSTOMER CAUTION: Read the fine print even though sales and staff people don't highlight the fact that -- if you are out of their "service area," you're basically on your own if you have issues with whatever you purchased. Recently bought a La-Z-Boy leather sectional from Melbourne, Florida La-Z-Boy. During delivery and setup (which I paid for also), I noticed the pieces did not align correctly and there were some issues with the leather and construction. I called the salesperson at Melbourne La-Z-Boy, who had been quick to provide the service center phone number during the sale; he said to contact the service center and they'll take care of it.
I contacted the service center and was told it was out of their service area... So now, here we are with a $4000.00 leather sectional and La-Z-Boy DOESN'T stand behind it (even though the salesperson represented that they would). After several calls to the salesperson, I was finally able to talk with the owner/manager of the Melbourne La-Z-Boy -- and she actually hung up on me after I told her if they did not help resolve the issue, then, I wanted to return the sectional or I was going to provide negative feedback in any forum I could! I'm a retired military member after 30 years service and this kind of service from La-Z-Boy is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! Based on their lack of customer care and concern, I would not recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone.

William was great. I was not sure what style we wanted. I knew we wanted recliners, he listened, showed us a few chairs and fabric samples. William found us a table that would go between the chairs. I did not like it. I found a table that I did like. He put it next to the chair and we had a winner. I will go back again later to find a couch and another chair.

We've purchased from La-Z-Boy in the past and we bought from them again to replace our old La-Z-Boy, which was still working but it was getting too shabby looking. The sales representatives in our recent purchase were very good especially the salesperson that we first encountered because we came in looking for a recliner and she directed us to get the chairs that fit me and my husband’s height and comfortable for us. We're happy with that especially my husband because we got a chair that fits him and another one that fits me. My husband is tall and I’m short, and we needed different sizes. We're happy with our furniture and the team that delivered it was fine as well.

I've had a worn out La-Z-Boy sectional and I wanted to replace it. The sales representatives at their showroom were very helpful, I have no complaints. The delivery crew was quick as well. I have wasted more time, more days off work on the phone and waiting for deliveries that never arrived or only half arrived. First our two piece sectional arrived as one piece, nobody knew where the other piece was. Then once found reschedule the delivery to have nobody show up or call. Once we called they said it was damaged and they have to get a new piece. Meanwhile the part that was delivered was damaged, so we called and they said they would take care of it.
Today I get a package of fabric in the mail. What am I supposed to do with that? Call the store... Again, oh call this company to have someone come out and repair it. Why would you not tell me what was going to happen and what to expect upfront? The communication is beyond horrible and frustrating. We had an original issue which was handled very well and we were grateful. So grateful we overlooked the start of this disaster, but we have now reached a point where our gratitude is worn out with time off work and hunting down what to do next.

Our sales rep, Cindy at the Brick, NJ location, was terrific. She was very patient as we had quirky needs for our small space and back issues. We found the right size recliners to accommodate our space and still had room for a small chaise lounge. The only thing I found disheartening, was that we still had to pay for delivery after paying over $3,000.00 for our 3 pieces of furniture. We even purchased the warranties on each and still had to pay for delivery. I would think that La-Z-Boy should throw a bone of some kind after purchasing a price level of perhaps $2,000.00 or more. Which certainly would be easy for any consumer to do! We understand we pay for the name and lifelong quality of product, but LB really should keep up with competition in some fashion. Free delivery would not bankrupt LB's pockets, I'm sure. Thanks for listening!

We ordered a leather sofa and two reclining chairs. When they were delivered one chair was acceptable and we had to send the others back. They sent five chairs and two sofas and only one recliner was acceptable and the quality was poor. I had to send it back for a refund. Would not recommend La-Z-Boy furniture. P.S. La-Z-Boy is the kind of chair that I wanted to get but I bought it twice. I bought the chair in Missouri, in the St. Louis area and it was to be delivered to Michigan because it was for my relative who was moving from St. Louis to Michigan. The sales person in Missouri told me that they could make sure that it was delivered to the new location in Michigan. Only after three or four weeks went by did they call me and told me that they can’t deliver it to Michigan. So I wasted a whole bunch of time in being told inaccurate information.
There was a La-Z-Boy store in Michigan, so I bought it from there. I didn’t get the color that I had originally planned to get because it was a special order color. So I took a different color because I needed the chair. We’ve already done the move and there’s no chair. And so I got a chair, but it wasn’t what I had originally wanted. The people in Michigan were fine, but the people in Missouri did me wrong. Their delivery team was able to get the chair there within four or five days. Its quality was what I expected and I was satisfied with the price of the item. However, I was very dissatisfied with my experience.

The old Ashley couch had died and we decided to check out and see what was new with La-Z-Boy. We still have a La-Z-Boy recliner and rocker downstairs in the family room that we've had for 20 years and it's held up remarkably well. We had a La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa as well which we gave to a friend to help them get started after their house got burned the other year. In the store, we liked the new fabrics and colors and saw something we liked and we bought it.
The sales rep was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. She left us to make a decision to ourselves which one would fit our needs the best after she went over all the good qualities of several different pieces. We scheduled the delivery of the purchased furniture at the store and everything went extremely smooth. Delivery was fantastic, having no issues or headaches with it, and we love it. Overall quality of the sofa is far above compared to that of what we got from Ashley. I've already recommended them to a friend.

I spend over $3,000.00 in four LA-Z-BOY recliners about a few weeks ago. When I received the recliners, they came with damages to the arm rests and the foam was deformed. On two of the recliners, the foot rest was not properly stitched. After 3 weeks, the technician came and repaired the arm rests and changed the foam for the foot rests, and requested for one of the recliners to be changed completely. What happened to the quality of the recliners? I was promised excellent quality, but never received it. I spoke with the manager of the store (Mr. **) in reference to the quality of the recliners but he kept trying to have them repaired when I wanted the items new without any problems. If I buy an item brand new, it is expected to be of good quality. If I cannot have the recliners without damages, I want a full reimbursement. On 7/1/2016 I purchased the above items from Susan **. She worked with me to match my colors. I told Susan I was having a shower at my house on 7/31/2016, she said it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get the items. I told her this was alright that I still wanted them. Susan said she would continue to check on the items to see when they would be in. On Friday 7/29/16 I received a phone call from Susan that my items were on the truck that came in that day and if I would come by and pay the balance I owed she would see if she could get them delivered on Saturday 7/30/2016. I paid the balance and they delivered the items at 9:30 on Saturday. Susan provided exception customer service and I would recommend her to all my friends.

I’ve bought furniture from Macy’s for a good while, and I was never satisfied. So I tried La-Z-Boy and it was great. It’s the best and I love my furniture. Their sales staff was really nice and always answered my questions. The delivery guys were also very nice people.

When you sit in the La-Z-Boy recliner, it's more or less weak in the back. I could sit up at 90 degrees and I'm fine but if I wanna take it all the way back, I got to hold myself back. I don't think the recliner is supposed to do that. It's not connected or locking in when you lay back 100 and several degrees. Also, the base of the chair is weak and it's forming a hole already. It's not as strong where it holds you up. I'm not that big. I'm about maybe 215 pounds, 6'2". My wife and I are going to go up there and let them know that something is wrong with the chair. But the Ottomans are fine. My experience with La-Z-Boy so far has been excellent and I'm satisfied.

Lancer reclina rocker - This is our 5th recliner bought. Will be last one I buy from your company. The quality has dropped in recent years. The one I replaced looks better than the new. Your comfort care program is wrongly named. They are not comfort. Far from it. Very unhappy with my purchase. Would like to burn it. Will not recommend purchases from your company to anyone. No wonder as I pass by your stores hardly see cars.

I had a second bedroom that I was using as storage and I wanted to start making it into a functional room. Tracy was my sales person and Gina is the designer and both of them were outstanding. The delivery team didn't call half an hour ahead of time but they came between the time window and called. There were a couple of issues, however. The headboard I ordered didn't fit on my bed frame. They showed me a couple of different options and it still didn't fit that I chose to keep the headboard. They were very helpful with that. There was also a little bit of a language barrier, but they were respectful professionals and they took off their shoes, kept it neat and cleaned everything up. They did everything well. My furniture is very high quality and I'm very happy. It's worth it to pay to have good furniture. A friend came over and saw the furniture, and she's gonna call Gina to see if Gina can come to her house.

Our old furniture was just done, so we got new furniture from La-Z-Boy and had a very good experience with them. The sales rep took quite a bit of time with us, helping us figure everything out, and even used a 3D program to show us the layout and how it looks. We liked the selection at La-Z-Boy. They had what we wanted so we bought a china display cabinet from them. However, our experience with their sales rep was awkward. He didn’t get the people wanting to get things done quickly. Buying a furniture should not be an all-day event but rather “cut to the chase and let’s get going.”

My husband retired and got a gift certificate for La-Z-Boy. Working with the sales rep was really fine. However, buying the recliner took longer than we thought because the person we were dealing with didn't know what to do with a gift check, so we finally got out of there. It was two hours of shopping to get it done. We had to pay a $40 delivery fee. The delivery crew said they do not have a warehouse here, and we'd have to go all the way down to Santa Clara to save $40, and said, "Well, that's worth gas right there, so, no." Not to mention that it took us a month and a half to get the recliner once we ordered it, so we didn't like that. What made us irritated is we had no choice, and the delivery wasn't a good experience. We wanted to go, pick out the recliner, and bring it home.
Nevertheless, the delivery crew was perfect. Plus, the chair is great - the color was perfect. Furthermore, the price is really good because the recliner has a lifetime warranty. We like it a lot, and it's very comfortable - we didn't have to break it in.

We paid $2239.08 for a sofa from what we thought was a reputable, iconic brand. We bought every add-on offered and were looking forward to years of comfort. Instead, we have a useless sofa, a useless warranty and the worst customer service we can remember. The recliner failed soon after delivery. We tried to get it fixed for over 10 months. We had the footrest replaced twice under warranty. Each time, the same problem reoccurred the day of or the day after the replacement. Obviously not the solution. After two tries, we were told you gave up and we would have to go to the store for a “reselect.” But we only got $1700 credit instead of the full amount we paid. So much for the super warranty.
We were assured we could come to the store and anyone could help. When we got there, no one knew anything. They had to call the manager and we were offered a reselect for only $1000 plus another delivery fee. It took several phone calls to get back to the $1700 we were promised. Even worse, the employee was incredibly rude and sarcastic. She said, "I didn't build the sofa." We said, "No, but you work for La-Z-Boy, don't you? You want to make things right?" She came back with, "No, I don't work here. I just sit around for fun." She also kept saying "Jesus!" and other rude things very loudly behind our backs. Really!?
This isn't helpful at all! It's childish; it's unprofessional and unacceptable to treat a customer that way. Everyone knows when a customer is upset, you try to mollify them and not throw fuel on the fire by being argumentative. And after 10 months of non-responsiveness and fruitless attempts to get a solution, we had reason to be upset. All we wanted was what we paid for in the first place - a working sofa. Not so much to ask, is it? Instead, the repair service didn't repair the problem. People didn't call us back when they promised. Finally, we were given wrong information and treated terribly in the store. We declined the reselect. It was insulting; we would have had to pay an additional $400 to only get a loveseat and without any of the extras we originally ordered. That's $400 more for less than 2/3 of what we originally paid for. No thank you!

I had a blue La-Z-Boy couch with the recliners in it and a rocking chair recliner. The quality is there and I've always been satisfied with it. I also had a big sectional sofa but it got too much room which was why we got the new stuff. The only other place I went to look was Bassett’s but they don’t have any furniture like La-Z-Boy does. I was out there about 30 minutes and came back home. The next day, I went to La-Z-Boy and got a couch and two brand new recliner chairs. I like them better than the sofa, and sit in them mostly.
When they delivered the couch, the control in the back that would let the recliner down on the right side wouldn’t work for some reason. So the delivery team had to package it up and take it back. The next day, they called and told me what they had to do. They received it back at the warehouse in California, and called me as soon as they could schedule it for delivery. They brought that couch back within a week.
The reps went above and beyond. I had to go back down there a couple of times to look at the material because I wanted to cover it in something different than what they had. There were four of them and they were all trying to help me find the material sample that I might like. The lady measured everything to make sure what I told her I wanted would work. We also talked about an area rug for the floor. She gave me the name of two different rug companies that they use. I didn't order the rugs through them but it was nice of her to give me the information. All in all, I’ve been happy with my experience and I would certainly buy from La-Z-Boy again.

My handicapped mother moved down with me and this prompted me to purchase new furniture. I went to the La-Z-Boy showroom and the sales representative was very helpful and professional. She walked me through everything when I didn't know what I was going to get. The delivery crew was helpful as well. They were courteous and went through everything with me and set everything up nice. They went extra mile for me and everything worked out great. My mother and I love the furniture. It was a good cost and quality. We got it on sale and I'm very happy about that.

The service provided was very good and attentiveness to the customer (us) was very good as well. Adjustments were made to the recliners so that the recliners stayed in place once in the reclining position. Good service... A few days later the recliner(s) recline all the way but they won't stay in that position.

I special ordered a $1,200 recliner and the fabric started pilling (balling up) at the area near the bottom of the foot area. I do not wear shoes when I sit in the recliner. I called La-Z-Boy after 4 months and they told me to go buy a shaver and shave the fabric. Can you believe it? I had ordered 1 yard of fabric to make pillows and it looks cheap. Spending $1200 for a chair is expensive for me and now I need to buy an electric razor to shave the fabric per their customer service dept. I'm so disappointed in my purchase.

I purchased a matching couch and reclining rocker chair from Ashley Furniture. Both had power mechanisms. The chair was not available and had to be ordered. I was advised that the width would be the same as a section on the couch. When it arrived, I found it to be narrow. When I asked for them to take it back, I was told that there would be a restocking fee of $185.00. I told them that I didn't want to pay a restocking fee and that I intended to purchase one of their other chairs. They said because they had to special order the matching chair, a restocking fee would apply. Since I had previously spent a good deal of money at their store, I ask them if $185.00 was worth losing me as a customer? I guess so, because I HAVEN'T gotten a response back from the Lakeside/Pinetop Ashley store.

We have a La-Z-Boy chair in our house for 19 years and we have been very happy with it. My daughter was in need of a couch and we thought we would give them that leather couch and update our furniture. So my husband and I visited the La-Z-Boy in Severn, Maryland and we were greeted by a very nice lady by the name of Thelma. We walked around with her and talked about some different options. She told us that she could come out to our house, take some measurements, and then make a design for us to see if we will be happy with it. She did that and she adjusted her schedule to fit ours. When we came back to the store, we were very pleasantly surprised and just very, very happy with Thelma and La-Z-Boy. Our purchase includes a recliner, a sofa and an ottoman which will be delivered next week and I'm very excited.
Thelma was very committed, trustworthy and outstanding. She has kept in touch with me via email or telephone calls, just constant follow-ups and promises that she's kept. Like when she said she would call me, she called me and that’s very hard to find a person who would do that. Also, she's going to come to our house when the furniture’s delivered just to make sure that everything is the way it's supposed to be because we upgraded the cushions to be firmer because I have a bad back and a bad hip. To top that off, she's normally off on Tuesdays, but we're gonna be leaving to take our son to college, so she adjusted her day off just to come to our home to make sure the delivery was good.

While my salesperson JB was great, I am unimpressed with the furniture. I specifically came to La-Z-Boy for their reputation. The fabric has been pilling since day one. I got the guarantee and I was told that pilling is not covered and it does say that so I am to assume they know it is a problem so too bad for me. I bought a fabric razor and now on top of my very busy day I have to shave the fabric every other day. If I get no resolution I will never recommend and report to the BBB and ConsumerAffairs.

Was called the day before. Given a time frame for delivery. The next day called early in the time frame to assure I was there. They came and very professionally brought the furniture in and asked me to look it over. They were very nice and very professional.

My overall experience with La-Z-Boy was very good and I found what I wanted. The person who helped was Jamaica and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. The thing that was really good was that we moved and our move was delayed, and they were able to hold the couches that we ordered until we got into the house which was very helpful. That was above and beyond and there wasn't too much pressure too. Also, I noticed that La-Z-Boy offered to come into my home and help me with decorating. That’s a great service.

I have my life couch about 40 years ago, I've moved and found a recliner at La-Z-Boy. I'm under five feet, and our recliners are very hard to find that fits a short person. The young lady who helped me in La-Z-Boy was very nice. Plus, the young man who delivered the recliner was extremely nice. He called me a couple of times before he got here. Then, he set it up, and made sure I could operate it. Although from my pocketbook, it was a little expensive, I like it really well.

My wife and I were about to move into a new home and we wanted to purchase some new furniture for our home. We'd never been into a La-Z-Boy store before, and planned also to shop elsewhere too. La-Z-Boy at Cross Iron in Calgary was our first stop. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and the quality as well as the good prices. We were also very impressed with the salesperson, Shirley ** who greeted us and helped us, but also gave us a lot of time to look on our own. It was the perfect balance of being there to answer our questions and giving us the space we needed to speak amongst ourselves. We loved so many items in the showroom, but felt that we should look around elsewhere before making up our mind. Well, we ended up going to 5 different furniture stores but felt that the selection, price and quality were all better at La-Z-Boy.
Also, we found that sales people at most of the other stores were very aggressive, which did not suit our style! A few days later, we went back to see Shirley and in the end we purchased a lovely, solid wood kitchen table along with 10 solid wood chairs to go with it, 3 sofas, including one that reclines, 2 coffee tables, an ottoman and 3 bar stools. Nearly our entire home was furnished from La-Z-Boy! The delivery experience was just as great as the purchase. The delivery personnel were very careful and gentle with our furniture and our walls and floors. Overall we were extremely pleased with our experience at La-Z-Boy and we won't bother going anywhere else the next time we need any furniture or accessories. Thanks Shirley for all your help!!

We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for close to 20 years, and we recently purchased a sofa, recliner, and accessories from them. We were just changing over the utilization of some rooms in the house because our kids are moving out. The sales rep made sure that she understood what we were trying to do, guided us very well, and helped us pick the right items. The delivery team was polite, clean, and thorough. The furniture is of the best quality and I got excellent value for the cost. All in all, La-Z-Boy is great to do business with. They've never even had to make anything right because they get it right the first time. They're very careful in their paperwork and make sure the customer understands what they're buying. They're a very well-managed business. They have been consistently excellent.

My interactions with the sales representative at La-Z-Boy were all enjoyable. We walked into the showroom twice. They greeted us, were eager to help and showed fabric samples. We scheduled the delivery and it was right on time. So far, I’m very pleased with my furniture and the cost was perfect. It’s fairly good quality compared to the other furniture that we’ve purchased in the past. It was handled properly and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

My mom has four recliners but she wanted a white one so she ordered from La-Z-Boy. We're still waiting on a new chair to come from La-Z-Boy as the one we first ordered didn’t work in the room and wasn’t comfortable for her back. They said we had 24 or 48 hours to call back and we called back that Monday but they wouldn’t give my mom her $1,800 back. They had to customize so we were forced to order another one and had to spend a bit more money. They could have been more lenient with the return as it was only a day after the policy. Other than that, the salesperson and everything in their store were cool.

I had visited La-Z-Boy last September and looked at the couches. I met with Jessica and she helped me with what it cost. I wasn't ready to put the amount out right then but when I had the money to make the purchase this year in May I was greeted again by Jessica and she remembered me from when I came in last time. We checked over the items again to make sure the price was still the same and it was. I purchased the couch and loveseat that day.
She told me it would be 8-12 weeks for them to deliver them. After 7 weeks Jessica called me and told me that the couches were in and wanted to know when they could deliver them. We set the appointment and sure enough when they said they would be there they were here to deliver. The 2 delivery guys were great, very professional and courteous towards me. They even helped me move my old couch outside. All I can say is if I need furniture in the future I will be going to La-Z-Boy to get it. Great customer service.

They sold us a defective couch and insist that it's fine despite the service tech saying "something is not right with this couch". But the reviewers on the other side of the country say it's fine. Shame on you La-Z-Boy for taking advantage of US service members.

I wanted a recliner and went to La-Z-Boy and bought one. I love it. It's better than other recliners I've sat on. I'd pay a little more than I would for something that would last very long, and my La-Z-Boy recliner has high quality and I feel that I got what I paid for. Their sales rep was very helpful. He showed us how it works, and that was wonderful. It has been an all-around positive and fantastic experience.

We were doing home renovations. I worked with one of La-Z-Boy's people and she helped me design the layout. It was a very positive experience. I appreciated the assistance from the designer as she came out to the house and that was a really neat service. The products seem to be of good quality and the cost is desirable. Our furniture was old and we had it for a long time so we got a recliner sofa from La-Z-Boy. However, the first rep that we dealt with was pushy, so we went to another La-Z-Boy store and the sales rep there was great. They still had to make the furniture then so we just had an estimate of when it would be ready, but when it was delivered to us, they came at the beginning hour of the time frame which is always good. We’re really happy with our leather furniture right now but nobody told us what we're supposed to clean it with. Nevertheless, the experience was good. They were helpful and informative.

I had a Hancock and Moore chair that’s all leather which I spent $3,800 for but it's 23 years old and I hate it. I’ve always liked La-Z-Boy's chairs and the La-Z-Boy people in the store were great. Ther sales rep was wonderful. She went out of her way to make sure that I was satisfied with what I had and she made sure that I sat in at least 20 different chairs to pick out what I wanted and she waited, which was very good, because she knew which one I wanted, and yet she made sure it was the last one I sat in. But the chairs haven't been delivered and I've not even heard if these are ready yet. I love the chairs and I can hardly wait for them to get here. However, it was advertised at a completely different price which I'm not thrilled about but that’s how it is. Other than that, I was very pleased with La-Z-Boy's service. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought the chair and could have gone someplace else.

We purchased 2 Rock, swivel, recliners, which were delivered 3/20/2015. We had to send one of the recliners back twice because of a squeak. Now we have found that on the sides of the seat cushions, on both chairs, the material, which I found out is made of vinyl, is cracking and peeling. I notified the Davenport, Iowa store, where we bought them, and this is the reply we received:
"Unfortunately due to this item being outside of the first year there is nothing that we can do at a store level. The piece in question is a vinyl fill panel. The only way to have this repaired is to have a local upholstery shop remove and replace the panel and this you be at a cost to you. We would be happy to help find a local upholster and get you in contact with them. Or you can call La-Z-Boy corporate at 1-800-375-6890 and they will also be able to assist in finding a local shop that is an authorized La-Z-Boy repair center. Thanks."
I feel that for the amount of money we paid, the materials, vinyl, leather, etc, should last for years. This is obviously a manufacturing defect! We have 2 leather sofas and another leather chair, (not purchased from La-Z-Boy), which we have had for years, and they look as good as the day we bought them.

In Feb of this year my husband and I bought a leather recliner. It came defective. We went to the store. They sent a repairman who ordered a new chair. When that one arrived it had a different defect. Same thing, back to store, repairman comes again. He orders chair number three. You guessed it. DEFECTIVE. So we go the store and order a totally different chair actually two chairs. WELL. The saga continues. WE are now on CHAIR 6. My patience is worn out. WE have done nothing. THE defects are TRULY real.
The repairman has no answers. At this point all I want is a TOTAL REFUND as there is nothing left I want. I have several other La-Z-Boy pieces which I love and they are years old. Please just give me my money back or will have to spread the word to EVERYONE I come in contact with not to buy from La-Z-Boy. I will use social media and I work retail. It makes me ill to see have many bad chairs we have had. Praying La-Z-Boy will just refund all my money asap. IF they are as concerned with customers as they say. I will contact the Better Business also.

I purchased a Casey Reclina-Way Recliner from the Barboursville, W. Va. store. The evening I received my chair, I noticed many things wrong and contacted the Comfort Care phone number. Some of the things wrong with this chair are: The back top upholster has "ears". The outside of the right arm has extra fabric at the front edge. Stuffing is uneven on the outside of both arms. When not reclining, the foot rest fabric is loose. There is no support on my legs when I have the footrest up because there is not nearly enough padding on that part. The stitching on the foot rest is uneven making one side "stick up" more than the other side. When reclining and release the reclining, the mechanism is scraping metal on metal. At the back edge of the right area, you can feel a staple(?) through the upholstery.
A representative inspected the chair and said all he could do was replace the right arm. I requested to return the chair for a refund in June and was told that that was not possible. When I called the Barboursville, W. Va., store, the gentleman(?) I spoke with was very condescending, continually interrupted me and told me if I would stop talking he would give me a number to call. He also said that if La-Z-Boy was at fault they would fix whatever is wrong but that if I just made a bad choice in choosing that chair and just wanted to return it, that was my problem. The gentleman who came to my home and inspected the chair has been very nice.
As of today, August 18th, 2016, my only recourse from them is a store credit. I have absolutely no confidence in La-Z-Boy recliners and do you suppose I ever want to step foot in that store again after being talked down to. I have been told that I signed where they explained that the chair could not be returned. My copy of the contract does not have my initials on it in that position; and, not being a stupid person, I would have never paid almost $700 for a chair knowing that I could not return it if not satisfied.
I have owned several La-Z-Boy recliners and have always been very pleased. In fact, my grandson is still using my husband's old La-Z-Boy recliner that is well over 25 years old. It still looks good and the mechanism still works perfectly with no scraping. I have three friends who have already said that they would not even consider a La-Z-Boy recliner after what I have endured with the Barboursville store. At this point, I am ready to go to (1) a lawyer; (2) W. Va. Consumer Protection; (3) social media; (4) TV stations; and (5) Charleston and Huntington, W. Va. newspapers vent lines.

My old furniture wore out and needed to be replaced so I recently got stuff from La-Z-Boy though I've had their products on and off for 30 years. I've talked many times with their decorators and store people who were very helpful and didn't try to upsell anything. Carlie, our decorator then, was excellent. She listened to my husband and I, and came up with a beautiful design. The delivery people arrived early and were very nice, as well.
The only problem we've had is with a mirror from an outside vendor. Every time it gets to the La-Z-Boy warehouse so that it can get delivered to me, it’s broken. I’m a little frustrated, but I think La-Z-Boy is just as frustrated. We’re on our third mirror already and hopefully, this time, it will work. Also, I'm dissatisfied that we're still waiting on a couple of pieces to be delivered by La-Z-Boy and I'm already paying for it. Nevertheless, their pieces are of very high quality which I’ve gotten lots of compliments with. People are always surprised that we ended up getting these at La-Z-Boy as they didn’t realize that the company had such nice pieces. Overall, we’re very happy with their service.

I moved from Sweden to USA and I had no furniture at all so I've been looking and I went to La-Z-Boy. I liked the free design service that they had and I got wonderful service from Suzy, the store manager, and the designer, Jonathan. Suzy emailed me and communicated with me and Jonathan made the layout for me. Then we picked the pieces and they made the design for me for the whole floor which is the living and designing areas. I like it so much and they gave me a good discount which was like having 4th of July discounts. They've been so helpful and quick to respond. They also understood exactly what I was looking for and what is my taste. It was very nice to work with them. They made my experience great and I cannot expect better.
I still haven't got the furniture because it will be delivered when I will move to my home at the end of this month. It includes a sofa, a chair, a chair and a half, as well as a recliner. I also bought almost the whole collection for the dining room and it looks like the stone ridge. It includes dining chairs, dining buffet, as well as the sofa table, coffee table and end tables.
Their bathrooms alternative was not so many and most of them are online. I would have appreciated to see a bedroom in the shop but maybe this is the collection. I was also expecting that if they had more stuff from their partners, the furniture should be there at the stores or there should be at least some possibility to see and feel the furniture in other stores or somewhere else. I saw a big part of the pieces that I ordered online and I don't know how they will look in reality. But even if I have no idea how the dining table will look like in reality, I like it so much in the picture and it fits the design. But they had the dining buffet in the store so it was the only piece that I was able to see. It's a big risk in my case but I trust Suzy and Jonathan.

A situation came up where I needed a sleeper sofa and I saw one at La-Z-Boy that I liked. It's the most recent furniture I got from them. Their reps were all very nice and their delivery people were very professional. I got the sofa on sale and I like the quality of it. It’s all good.

My service rep was Suzzy. She was very friendly and attentive to my need. She also followed up after the service call was complete. My tech was Will. I could not have asked for a nicer gentleman. Fixed my chair and did it in a very efficient manner. My sales manager from the store helped in maintaining a good relationship with us. I would buy again from La-Z-Boy.

I'm handicapped and can't sleep in a bed and it seems that La-Z-Boy makes a chair that's comfortable for disabled people so I bought two recliners from them. Their reps were very nice and professional. They showed me exactly what I asked for and knew exactly what I wanted. I appreciated it and made the sale right there and then. I've recommended La-Z-Boy to somebody.

I bought a house and purchased a sectional, recliner, sofa, and some accessories from La-Z-Boy recently. When I first went into the store, the people there helped me pick out designs and stuff that they would bring to my house and got the idea of what I wanted to do in the room. Then they came to my house and did all the measurements. They’re extremely professional. They were on time, spent around four hours with me and did an amazing job. They called and updated me with things. I loved the designer. She did everything that I asked for and went out of her way.
I told La-Z-Boy when I was available to have the purchased items delivered. The delivery team was amazing, nice, and very friendly. They called to confirm the appointment before they arrived. They did a great job and even showed us how the furniture worked. The cost was very reasonable and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Joy & Bob at the Philips Hwy store were great and very helpful. Joy took a lot of time with us. I would recommend her to our friends. Trying to get a delivery date was a nightmare. I received an e-mail from Kat to set up a date. When I called back she told me she would have to e-mail for the available dates they would be in my area. I never heard back from her. Over the course of 3-4 days I called numerous times leaving messages. On my last try I hit the wrong button and was connected to service. A gentleman named Steve answered. When I told him I pressed the wrong button and that he was the first live person I have spoken to, he asked if he could help. I told him that I received an e-mail stating that my order was at the warehouse and to call and set up a date. I stated that I spoke to Kat & she would have to e-mail to me a date and never heard back and what I have been trying to do for the last 3-4 days and could not get Kat to call me back.
He asked me to hold on and he would see what he could do. After about 5 minutes he came back on the line and gave me 3 dates they would be down in Palm Coast. I took the first available date. It was only then that I heard from Kat with a lot of excuses. Bottom line, she takes too long to set up delivery, because she does not get back to you. The 2 gentlemen (I'm sorry I forgot their names) that came to our house were courteous. A call came to remind me of date & time then again when they were 30 minutes out. They were at my house within the time they said they would be here. The person (Kat) that is the voice of delivery needs to get her act together. Kat is the weak link in this area. She called me back only after Steve had helped me. I have to adjust the wing nuts on the back of my chair only to find out they are not there. So I'll go online, which I hope the info is there.

We had couches that were so old and we decided that it was time to get some new ones so I purchased a sofa and loveseat from La-Z-Boy. We dealt with Linda and she was awesome. I loved her. She was so friendly and very helpful. She let us take the fabric samples home because we were redoing our house. We would like to check which fabric would match the paint and to see what we would like. We have the furniture pieces delivered and the boys that did that were great, very friendly, and helpful as well. The whole process was nice and easygoing. The quality of the furniture is great. I am very happy with La-Z-Boy.

The absolute best customer care and service I have ever received from any company was from Carissa ** at the Michigan headquarters. Very pleasant and extremely helpful. Gave me not only help, but information and advice and made sure she helped me with genuine concern and care for my needs. Purchased sofa and protection plan July 2014, delivered Aug. July 2016. Noticed edge of middle cushion the fabric was splitting. Went to store (Royal Palm Beach, FL). Manager Carlos said the fabric was only covered for one year and I was approaching two years. He said to call Ultra Shield (U/S). When I called U/S, I explained the problem as a rip, unaware of the technicality of the term and subsequent issues using that term would raise. U/S denied coverage saying they don't cover rips on the seam. However, the picture I sent them showed the "rip" (separation) was also clearly across parts of the fabric, not just on the seam. I returned to the store but Selena, asst manager, said to call La-Z-Boy HQ in Monroe again and suggest someone from La-z-boy should make the diagnosis, not me.
A La-z-boy tech should come to see the issue, even though I provided pictures. But, alas, when I called Monroe again, I was told the same thing (one year warranty on the fabric) and I should seek out an upholsterer. Yet, La-z-Boy has no more of my couch's fabric in any warehouse so I cannot even mend the couch. The fabric is such that if it is pulling out now, pulling the fabric tighter to stitch it will most likely further thin the fabric. Is that flaw in the fabric (the looseness causing the separation of the material) the reason the fab I separated? Now, I have an unserviceable couch with less than 2 years of wear (I'm the only person in my home).
Please help me convince La-z-Boy that their material should last longer than 23 months by recovering my current couch or remaking the couch with another material that is more hearty, Paying the high price of La-z-Boy furniture plus the U/S fabric protection and not having any (ANY) protection against defective fabric after a mere 23 months isn't what I expected from this company. I feel taken since La-z-Boy is essentially telling me not to expect the fabric to be serviceable a year, after their warranty ends. And why buy the U/S if normal wear and tear is not covered by the maintenance agreement. Who would have thought?
I'm angry, disappointed, surprised, and bewildered that such a well known and supposedly reputable company leaves me in the lurch. If this problem occurs seldomly, then fix my sofa. If the problem occurs frequently, then fix your policies, La-z-Boy. Who can help me recover my lost couch? Images below: first one is from July 2016 when I first noticed the separation. Notice the rib of the fabric which crosses the seam, making the separation not totally on the seam, as U/S is claiming it is. The second image is the current separation, August 2016.

I recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy because our old furniture didn’t mesh with the décor of our house. The lead designer at the store was really helpful. She took the time to walk us through the different options available, including the different fabrics, and provided suggestions on what she thought would look good. We also have scheduled the delivery of our newly bought furniture. I feel happy with my purchase and would buy from La-Z-Boy again.

We went to La-Z-Boy in Louisville KY to purchase two new recliners. We have always bought from La-z-Boy due to comfort style and quality, but this time we were very disappointed. The salesman failed to accurately describe the features of the recliner we were interested in and ultimately bought. When they arrived they were nothing like the one we sat in at the store and later found out we were sent a tall base chair.
We were put off for two weeks in getting another style of chair because they argued we were mistaken and the chairs we received were the same as the store. After several days we got the two new style chairs but we're told we would have to pay restocking fees and would not get the difference refunded. We feel that we were not informed by the salesman of the store policies and we're lied to about what we received in our home and not treated as a valued customer. La-z-Boy has lost a valuable customer and I will not ever recommend them again to our friends.
Ps. They shove papers in front of you and you sign them assuming they will have your back. Do you know how long it would take to read all of that? They need to make sure their customer understands the features and options, and they need to ensure the customer receives the correct product, and they need to stand behind their customer to make sure they are completely happy with their purchase and if not make sure they are helped in every way with the corrections of the problem.

We purchased a pair of fabric covered recliners (SK 290*72124-3) for our new home and were persuaded to purchase the fabric protection. The material faded and lost its vibrant color. We called while they were still in warranty. They are now 2 years old and look like crap. They sent a little bottle of fabric cleaner which did no good. As far as I'm concerned, the quality has gone down and customer service is nonexistent. For the money we paid for these chairs, I expected a lot more. I'm done with La-Z-Boy.

We have been long-time La-Z-Boy customers and in April purchased a $4,000 sectional from the Tualatin, OR store. In August we are still waiting on a piece of the sectional. No one from the store has ever called us to follow up on our order in all these months. I have had to call several times to find out where the pieces to the sectional were and when they would be delivered. I finally called corporate to learn that the last piece was delivered a week ago to the local warehouse. No one from the warehouse called to inform us and it has still not been delivered. Our experience so far with this store has been a nightmare and we will NEVER purchase anything from them or La-Z-Boy again.

We have a La-Z-Boy furniture for 15 years and we recently purchased a sectional and a recliner from them for our new home. We had one of the decorators come out to the house and she was very kind. Then we went in-store and had a good experience as well. They provided a fast and friendly service.

I just got married and just bought a home so I needed new furnitures. I went to two La-Z-Boy stores and both were very nice and very clean with a relaxed atmosphere. Their reps were very knowledgeable and their delivery team was very professional. I got a sofa and a loveseat and they have the best quality. I gotta pay to get good stuff but I'm very pleased with my La-Z-Boy experience.

I purchased a chair from La-Z-Boy yesterday and went to their warehouse today to pick it up myself to save the shipping. It was a surprise for my husband but he did not really care for it so I wanted to exchange it for another. They did tell me that there was a 30% restocking fee possible but I thought that was if I returned it, not if I was going to exchange it. So now I have to pay 209$ on an over 700 dollar chair to get one my husband likes when I have only had the chair for two hours. What a racket. Don't buy from these people!
