    We liked La-Z-Boy's style, comfort and reliability and recently purchased a sofa from them. Their sales reps were very helpful, courteous and weren't too pushy or demanding. They just let us go look around the store and make our own decision. If we had questions, they answered them. The delivery team was very professional during the delivery. The newly purchased chair was 40% more than other furniture we were looking at but we didn't mind it because we know La-Z-Boy last longer than the normal furniture. We’ve had a piece here for over 20 years and it’s still working fine. We'll definitely shop there again because we like their sales people and the quality of the furniture and the selection.

    One of the chairs that we had was broken. In fact, things were breaking in it because they were so old. And the other one, my husband didn’t care for anymore because it wasn’t as comfortable as it used to be so we got two new chairs from La-Z-Boy. Our experience with them was fine. We had the chairs delivered and we had a good experience with their delivery team. They were friendly. They came in, put it down and then they left. Since it’s really new, it’s working fine and the cost was okay for its quality. So, if I need something else, I’d go there again.

    My 85-year-old mother-in-law purchased a recliner on 9/1/16. On Thanksgiving day, she fell and broke her right arm. She has been in either the hospital or rehab center ever since and still is. We expect her to be discharged on Dec. 28 and wanted to have her recliner exchanged so she can use it. Since the power button is on the right side and her right arm is in a sling and will be for several more months, she is unable to use the power button on the right side. We asked La-Z-Boy, both locally and nationally, to give us some kind of credit for this chair (still exactly like new) to trade it in and allow us to upgrade to one with a remote control. They refused. "Returns must be made within 48 hours." Not much of a caring spirit and definitely not customer friendly! We will never buy from La-Z-Boy again!

    We were so happy to be buying a high-quality La-Z-Boy loveseat. The salesman was wonderful and didn't pressure us. Delivery was quick and efficient. But then we discovered there were some manufacturing problems. The people who answer the phone at Customer Care are certainly nice, but I'm on my 3rd call and my James Power Reclining Loveseat still isn't fixed. It's a piece of junk. The padding was almost nonexistent on one side, that took 2 months to get fixed, with 3 service calls. And the backs of the two sides don't align. We pointed that out to the technician, and he said that's just the way it is because it's two chairs put together. BS.

    The chair on the showroom floor was great. We did NOT get a chair like the one on the showroom floor. I now have to wait 3 WEEKS to get the tech to come BACK out, and then when he gets here, he'll spend 5 minutes, tell me he has to order parts, which will take another 3 weeks, then it will take another 2-3 weeks to schedule him to come back out after the parts get here. I will NEVER buy another La-Z-Boy product, and you shouldn't either.

    My dog likes to sit on the top of the cushions of my old couch and she smooshed them. I still have my old couch and she's sitting on the old couch with her smooshing that still. My sister is a La-Z-Boy shopper and she suggested that I get a good couch that will last, so we went to La-Z-Boy. The sales rep was very nice and he helped me. I was able to buy a power sofa and a recliner. The delivery guys went out of their way to help me get the old couch placed in the back room but it wouldn’t fit down the hallway and through the sliding glass door but they made me happy.

    We saw a sofa in the Sunday paper which I fell in love with and just had to have. We went that Sunday afternoon and purchased it. We have been sorry ever since the delivery which was purchased January 27, 2013. Very shortly after it was purchased we noticed that the arm where my husband sits to read the morning paper started to lose its shape, it buckled where he would rest his forearm. I called and someone came out, and took it apart and restuffed it. Well that DID not remedy he situation. Within 6 months the cushions started to sag and the fabric stretched. As soon as someone sits on it, it is all wrinkled so we have to switch and turn cushions over.

    I do realize it is about 3 yrs since we purchased it. It has caused many arguments between me and my husband, with him always throwing it back in my face that I just had to have it. And he is right. I have been ashamed almost from the beginning with the appearance of this not up to your quality of furniture. I am so ashamed of the appearance that I do tell our guests about how it was not up to standards as far as quality. I am writing at this late date because every time I look at it it upsets me so much. I am truly embarrassed to have this piece of which would be quality furniture in my home. We paid $847.96 for this nightmare.

    Not very happy. Purchased recliner chair in September. The seams in right arm were torn. Repairman came, and he and I noticed more poor quality construction. He suggested new chair, but you insisted on repair. He came today to repair and the arm replacement was horrid and the repair person did not even want to install it. Plus we need a whole new back because it was not upholstered correctly. They sent batting only not a new back. Repair person could not do that. At this point we are trying to return the chair for a full refund. We have been patient and trusting, but enough is enough. Our Harrisburg store is stalling but we need to make sure someone listens and does right by us.

    We have four pieces of furniture, a rug and pillows coming from La-Z-Boy. The chairs that we are replacing, we've had for nine years. They have holes on the cushion now, and they looked dated. Everyone at La-Z-Boy was very nice. The fact that the company offered the service to come out to our home and take some photos, made the whole process a lot easier because my husband and I do not always agree on things. Danielle, the designer, helped us and she did an excellent job putting furniture in the room and changing patterns and prints. We're very happy with all that.

    I have no items yet and I was hoping our products were going to be here for Christmas because we were told five to seven weeks and we ordered them on November 3rd. But I got a phone call the other day that everything is here except the two chairs and they wanted me to take delivery on that. I told them that wasn't going to work because now I'm really going to have a mismatched room if I put the new pieces in with the two lousy chairs that I already have. I told them that I wanted everything to come at the same time. Other than that, I'm happy with our purchase. I referred my friend to go to La-Z-Boy but they were thinking La-Z-Boy was too expensive even though I told them it wasn't. We got the items at very reasonable prices. I would recommend La-Z-Boy.

    I recently ordered a brand new La-Z-Boy chair. I am very extremely disappointed with it as the foot rest and the back only reclines part way. When I called the store to discuss it, they said my only two choices are to either take it to their repair center (I don't have a vehicle that will accommodate it) or have their repair technician come to my house at MY expense ($80) for an issue that never should have existed in the first place! It should have been tested before it left the factory. I should not have to pay another $80 to fix a brand new chair!

    My mom and I are moving from Massachusetts to Florida. We bought a condo and it was completely redone over but there was literally nothing in it so we had to furnish it. We're not officially moving down until February so when we're there for the closing of the condo in October 31st, we were there for about 10 days to furnish it as much as possible. We purchased our items on October 12 because La-Z-Boy was having a huge sale that weekend. Everything was 36% off so we wanted to take advantage of that. However, the Coconut Creek city that we are going to be living in does not have a lot of La-Z-Boy store so I called the La-Z-Boy in Boca Raton.

    I talked to a designer and I told her that because I wanted to take advantage of their sale, I was wondering if I could order something from their store and then have it delivered because I wasn't down there for the sale. She was very nice and she said we could go to our local La-Z-Boy and choose what we want and to call her back later on since the sale was all weekend. She said she can order it for us and I can have it delivered for when we come down to the closing which was October 31st. So, we went to our local La-Z-Boy, which was the only one around in Saugus, Massachusetts and they treated us very well. We told them our situation and at the time, we only picked a sleeper sofa and a chair. We didn't pick out the ottoman yet.

    Then I called back the rep in Boca Raton and she was awesome. We ordered the couch the way my mother wanted it, the specifications, the color, the texture and fabric because it had to be done. I asked how long the delivery will take since we're going to be there from October 29th through November eighth. I was told that it's gonna take about 4-6 weeks so she said if by chance it's not ready by the time we go down there in four week's time, she'd be more than happy to hold it in their warehouse until the time I do come down. She said that they're only supposed to hold it for a couple of months and that they were not supposed to do that, but she made an exception for me because she knew we won't be coming down to live there until February. So she said she'll do her best to see if she can get that shipped to us when we're there for the closing.

    Then a couple of days after we ordered the couch, the sofa and the chair, my mother decided she wanted a matching ottoman. Since they're already going on a limb to try to get our orders done in four weeks, I don't know if we'd be able to get 36% off, let alone get that designed just like the couch because everything was all the same. So, I called their rep and she said they can give us the 36% off and she will put it through right away but she can't make any promises if it will be on time but she'll do her best. I ended up talking to another rep who was awesome. She called me once a week letting me know the status. A week before I was to go down there, she called me up and said that the the chair and the ottoman were done but not the couch. We bought a bedroom set for my mother and we needed that couch for me to sleep on. We wanted to stay at the condo for at least a couple of nights just to get the feel of it.

    So the rep went through hoops to get this done. She called me three days before we were about to leave to go down there for the closing and gave me the thumbs up that they can get the couch to us. Bottom line, they did everything in four weeks. The rep called me and made sure I'm happy with it and I was thrilled. I could not stop saying good things about her and the other rep. I drove to Boca Raton not far from Coconut Creek and saw the rep who originated this whole thing. I said I wanted to meet them to thank them in person for what they did. I made it very clear to them that when I get my place, I am going back there because they were awesome. I also wanted to tell the reps that I haven't forgotten about her. I cannot be happier with the service. Both reps were absolutely terrific. They were definitely getting my business in the future once I find my own place.

    If they didn't have that sale, we wouldn't have gone there because their stuff tends to be on the expensive side. However, their quality is excellent. Even though we were somewhat on a budget, we wanted to get a really nice quality den set and their quality is top notch. We were a little concerned that the couch was tight fit because it was going in a condo. But the two delivery guys did it without a scratch. They took the legs off but they wrapped up the couch in a blanket so it won't be damaged. The floors are all tile anyway so it made it easy to slide. They answered all my questions and showed me how to blow it up and how to deflate it. Overall, the delivery team was excellent from start to finish. The designer made me feel like I was her only customer. She was so accommodating from the start and when the other rep took over, she made sure it got delivered on time.

    We received our two new chairs about two months ago. The amount of peeling all over the surface of both chairs is unbelievable. These chairs look like they've been used for years. Unfortunately, according to La-Z-Boy this isn't a warranty concern. How will these chairs look after two years of wear?? We paid over $1000 for these chairs. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of quality and lack of willingness to stand behind what we thought was a high quality, American made product. As an owner of a business that sells an American made product, I'm disappointed.

    On 12 Oct 15 I ordered an upholstered sofa and 2 matching recliners to be delivered in Dec. I initially intended to purchase only a sofa to replace a sectional that was too large for my room but after choosing a new sofa I realized the recliners I had would not be a good match so I bought matching recliners. I purchased my previous recliners 4 yrs earlier from Rooms To Go for approx $400 each. They were still in great shape. I initially loved the set but the foam in the chair I sit in daily has broken down and is no longer comfortable. The other chair and the sofa do not get much use so they are still in good shape although with more use I expect they would break down just as quickly.

    I purchased La-Z-Boy because of its reputation for quality. I don't mind paying more for good quality but I paid more for poorer quality than what I had. The chairs I purchased sold for $1319.99 each although I got them on sale for $923.99 each. At this price I expected them to last for years yet it has barely lasted a year. Needless to say, this was my first and last purchase from La-Z-Boy. I have previously custom ordered upholstered furniture from Bassett and purchased the aforementioned furniture from Rooms To Go. While Bassett was comparably priced, Rooms To Go was about half the price and both held up far better than the La-Z-Boy. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed. I do not consider this to be quality furniture although that is what I expected for the price paid.

    We purchased two pieces of furniture from La-Z-Boy 10 years ago. We recently purchased a recliner, two sofas, and an additional pillow from them. We were replacing an old furniture, which wasn't the La-Z-Boy, that was broken down. We went into the showroom. The reps were very helpful, and they offered to have a designer come out because we weren't sure exactly what pieces we wanted. They said it was complimentary so we thought it was a wise choice. We set up an appointment, and they were good at working with our schedule. We were on a tight schedule at that time and the designer came out and she helped us out. She brought some fabric swatches that were in the ideas that we wanted.

    We looked at some stuff and then we went back to La-Z-Boy that evening to look at her designs and she put together her computer design. And we made our decision from there. They called and left a message when the furniture was ready, so we called back and they gave us the option for availability for the delivery and we picked one. It's the most expensive furniture purchase we've ever made, but we got what we paid for.

    Purchased Cantina Leather Recliner in Putty in December of 2011 for husband for Christmas. Was delivered in January 2012. By Christmas of 2014 the leather started to wear. Just last week, the reclining mechanism broke and does not allow him to balance with feet up. I had contacted La-z-boy regarding the leather wear back in 2014 and was told there is only a one year warranty on fabric and that personal products could constitute the wear in the headrest area. Cost to assess and fix seemed high. Well the leather is also worn on the inside of the armrests, top of the armrests, it's ridiculous. I have a previous recliner that was purchased from Macy's over 20 years ago and it is still in better shape than this one.

    We have had many La-Z-Boy recliners in the last 40 years. The cloth ones we would replace because we were tired of the colors. Five years ago I bought the first leather recliner, a brown one. After two years the leather faded in several spots. I called La-Z-Boy and was told it would cost several hundred dollars to redye it. I had bought the protection plan but that wasn't covered. We decided to buy another leather La-Z-Boy to replace that one. I bought the a Jasper Reclina Rocker October 21, 2015. I did not buy the protection plan because with the first one it was a waste of money.

    Less than a year later the leather on this recliner started peeling off. I would expect that of a cheap recliner but this one was almost a thousand dollars. I have tried calling customer service many times but always I am on hold for in excess of thirty minutes. We have been loyal customers of La-Z-Boy for 40 years. We have bought several for ourselves and for our parents. I need La-Z-Boy to make this situation right.

    Our experience with the Cyrville Rd store Ottawa was terrible. Our first purchase was added to multiple phone calls asking us up to $4400.00 when we owed them only about $1200.00. We added another love seat by phone and then ** broke loose. We then discovered our legs stands were not rising to the height we experienced in the store. They refused to give us a refund and we are stuck with 2 loveseats we don't like. The manager threatened us of a restocking charge of a large amount of money. This is why we are stuck with them. I am sure that we won't buy from that store anymore and not from La-Z-boy anymore. I think your company will go under soon unfortunately. We are also taking this to the Government consumer protection if you take no action.

    I purchased from La-Z-Boy quite a number of years ago but I gave to my adult kids. Recently, I bought a sofa from La-Z-Boy but I don't have it in my possession yet. It was a very simple couch, not really fluffy but very comfortable. I was told that delivery was five weeks after purchase. That was four and a half weeks ago and I have not heard from La-Z-Boy since. I've only paid for half of it so I know I have to give them the other half of my money before I get my furniture. They had someone come to my house so I could fit fabric for the sofa but that was right after I bought the furniture. He was supposed to do a PowerPoint and I never got that.     My husband and I are not very tall, and we fit on La-Z-Boy's Kennedy sofa perfectly. It's the perfect size. We also got sofas, ottomans, and recliners from there, and have been pleased. We've been to their Marlton and Egg Harbor stores, and the salespeople were fabulous. When I bought a sleeper sofa and ottoman this last time, I had a ball. The lady was so nice and we had so much fun picking out fabrics. For everything we've been through, it was a fabulous experience to go in their store. I love taking my own fabric, picking my own colors, matching the pillows, and not just walking in and buying what they have on the floor. I also think it's fair when they have a sale. The furniture is not cheap, but I don't want cheap.

    Bought a table that was damaged in transit. La-Z-Boy replaced the top with no problem but the new top does not close evenly when the leaf is removed.     The interior designer and the salesperson from La-Z-Boy were lovely, knowledgeable, not pushy, and they let me think and didn't try to tell me what to do. Whenever I call, I get through. I press three, I get through and I'm able to talk to whomever I need to talk to. So far, I haven't gotten my furniture yet but I'm really happy. I have bought all my other furniture at Ethan Allen. But this is for a condo. The Ethan Allen furniture was a little too big because the condo I have is like a little shoebox. La-Z-Boy's furniture was a little smaller and they have lovely fabric and they have the same service as Ethan Allen. La-Z-Boy reps came to my condo and made sure the furniture would fit and helped me pick out fabrics. They're great and I’ve recommended them to a lot of people.

    On a good note, I purchased 2 La-Z-Boy recliners over 34 years ago and they are still in very good condition. That being said, 4 years ago my wife and I purchased a sofa, loveseat and a hi boy recliner. We paid almost 4000.00 and was glad to, thinking the products would be as good as our first purchase. We are on a fixed income and we are careful to buy only quality products. There are two major problems. After sitting on the furniture for more than 20-30 minutes, you sink down in the padding and I have to change chairs. It seems to recover a bit but it gets worse each month. After resting your arms on the armrests, some have a deep indentation. Also the microfiber material looks as if it is much much older than it is and in some places there is discoloration on the fabric.

    There are other minor problems with the furniture, but the 2 problems I have listed are two major problems. I also purchased the fabric coating and armrest covers, so we have tried to maintain our purchase. It appears we will have to buy new furniture in the near future, and I do not see how we can buy new furniture from La-Z-Boy unless the quality has improved. I will try and find the receipt, but they were purchased at the Lazy Boy store on 2040 Ina Road Tucson Arizona 85704 Phone 520 293-6950.

    Purchased 2 Rocker Recliners on 3-11-16. They were delivered on 4-21-16. My husband informed me on Dec 13 that his chair was tearing. As he cannot see real well I looked and discovered that it was not torn but peeling. The spot is on the inside of arm where it meets the cushion. I called the Woodlands Store where they were bought and was given a number to call. I called and left a msg. Was called back in the afternoon by a Representative who told me I would have to pay for the service call. I told her no way was I paying service call for a product used 7.5 months. We were gone from home a month and half of that time. I bought La-Z-Boy because of what I thought would be quality merchandise and that they would stand behind their product.     I’ve had quite a bit of living room furniture and they don’t seem like they last over five years for us, so I wanted to try American-made stuff and went with La-Z-Boy. The sales reps were real helpful. Our living room is weird-shaped and it’s got tile and carpet at an angle. There’s a fireplace that sticks out quite a bit, and the rep managed to show me two different ways of where I can lay it out, so I was really happy with that. We got the extra piece with the La-Z-Boy and that made the sectional that much bigger. The delivery guys were also pretty good. They showed me how to put the sectional together and take it apart. They also showed me the battery pack where I put the 9-volt battery. So far, the sectional is nice and we like it. I’m 68 years old so I’ve been through living room furniture, and this is by far the best I’ve had.

    We purchased the Daphne sofa and chair and a half a little over 3 years ago and payed for a 10 year warranty. The furniture has become so flat that it is very uncomfortable to sit on. I have been very good at flipping cushions and trying to fluff up the back pillows. It has not helped. There are strings hanging around the seams of most cushions and pillows. I tried calling to see if something could be done with the warranty we bought but as you can guess it only covers the fabric after just 1 year. I always thought that lazy boy was a good furniture store and produced quality products. I was wrong. Our "cheap" furniture from Value city lasted longer than this. We are very disappointed and will be sure to tell people to spend their money some place else.

    I have back problems and I was looking for a good recliner to sit in to watch TV because I don’t have any good place to sit. We went to the showroom and I sat on a La-Z-Boy for a half hour and it was fine. My wife and I have been looking for recliners to fit our needs for four years and thought this was the one. The sales rep was great. I told her what I wanted and she pointed me right to it and she was patient and kind. It was a pleasure to work with her and I really appreciated her great customer service. We had the recliners delivered and the two gentlemen that brought them were also very nice.

    Unfortunately now every time I sit in our La-Z-Boy it gives me terrible back pains. The first day I sat in it, I had these back problems and I didn’t think about if it was the recliner or not. I've been with a chiropractor a couple of times and getting a couple of massages, and I was finally feeling better. I decided to sit on our La-Z-Boy last night and after about a 45-minute sit, I got up and there's the old pain again. I'll be looking for somebody to buy at least one of them from me and I wish there was a return policy because at this point I would even do it at 20% restocking fee.

    We had a La-Z-Boy when we first moved up here 18 years ago, however, it didn't hold up and we weren't happy with it. We had not been back to La-Z-Boy since then. But we were really impressed with the recliners that our friends have so we returned to La-Z-Boy. We bought the same chairs and we're very happy with them. Their saleslady, Shella, was fantastic, helpful and was as nice as she could possibly be. After we bought the first chair I went down the following week and got a second one. Shella handled both of them.

    We scheduled for the delivery of the chairs and La-Z-Boy was good about it. They had the chairs in stock so we didn't have to wait. And because it’s leather, we didn’t have to worry about the material and they had the color of the leather that we wanted. It’s genuine leather so it doesn’t get hot and you don’t stick to it. The chairs fit perfectly well in our house. They also gave us a six-year warranty which was not outrageously priced, $69, and it covers tears. The whole experience was really nice. I’m a returning customer and when I need something else, I’ll go back to La-Z-Boy.

    Bought 2 recliners 3/14. Developed rashes 1 month later but never realized it was the chairs. Things continued to get worse and after tons RX steroid cream and **. I went through patch testing and nothing. Decided to conduct a patch test using a piece of the leather. When the Dr. removed it the culprit of all my rash problems was revealed. The leather actually causes burning, itching and bumps. There is something very harsh and dangerous in the leather. Since the rash breakouts my skin in that area seems to be damaged. I discovered online that I and not the only person who has experienced this. How can this be allowed to continue? The pics I am adding are pics of rash and patch testing.

    La-Z-Boy Furniture purchased early 2016 - I am disappointed in the material on my chair and half. I love the colors, however, the material is "pilling." This is my third set of La-Z-Boy furniture and the first time I have had this problem. I also have two marks on the ottoman that I am having a difficult time removing. I have used the cleaner I received when I purchased the furniture, but it isn't working. I need to have this item serviced so I can have an explanation as to why the material is pilling and what can be done to fix this. Also, I need assistance on the stain removal. So as of now, I am dissatisfied. Hopefully, this can all be fixed. I wouldn't expect this kind of a problem with La-Z-Boy furniture. I spend the extra money to have nice furniture and not have these kind of issues.

    Our last furniture was outdated. We had it for a really long time, so it was time for it to get replaced. We then purchased a love seat from La-Z-Boy. Their salesmen were very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. We spoke to two different ones and both of them were really nice. I did an inspection before delivery from my understanding that if we had gotten something damaged to get it replaced or to cancel the order is not possible. We were in a hurry and we wanted the furniture to arrive before Thanksgiving. They were laying other things on top of the furniture pieces and because it's leather, we could tell there was an indention. They're dusty and very dirty, so we could tell they were in storage for a while.

    It is the same thing on the back, it looks like it was leaning on something. And then again there were indentions on it, and we have to go through the haggle of filing a claim and going through the whole process. We then just decided to keep them. Also, as soon as the two delivery guys walked out, I continued doing the inspection on the furniture piece and on one of the corners, it looked like it was damaged. The leather was scuffed. So, I tried calling them. I know that there's nothing they can do but take the furniture piece back. From noticing all the indentions on the leather and the way of how dirty they were, I was so frustrated that I wouldn't have minded it if they had taken everything back. However, they didn't respond to my call.

    We purchased the Warranty on the furniture for cottage and stuff. We have kids so we purchased the warranty for accidental rips and tears and all that stuff. It is something we can file a claim on. But with the holidays coming around the corner, I'm not sure how the process is. I'm not sure if they come out and repair it or where they take them. So, we're going to wait till after the holidays and then probably get it fixed. I want to get it replaced because it is leather and I don't want it to continue to rip.

    I wish La-Z-Boy had a different process. Even if we weren't comfortable with the purchase or the delivery, they don't refund. Once they get delivered, we're stuck with them. We normally purchase a lot from Costco because their return policy is so convenient. If we're not happy with it, we can just return it. The La-Z-Boy name and the reputation made us purchase from them. But overall, they need some improvement especially when it comes to storing and delivering the furniture. They could give a better job of wrapping the furniture so it doesn't get damaged while in transit. The sales people did an amazing job. The way the company does things is what I'm not too happy with. I would never purchase a furniture piece from them again.

They order the parts, send them to your home, and one if their technicians comes to your home! They give you a 3 to 4 hour window which ties up your entire day! I purchased these chairs as new and paid a lot of money for them. Never dreamed they would not stand behind their product! The chair is junk and they won't admit it! They're stringing me out until the warranty runs out and then they'll stop fixing it! I want the chair replaced and if I had known this is how they do business I would never purchased from them! I hope there is someone who can help me!

    Three years ago, I had the interior designer come out and we did the family room. We had ticked out some things in getting ready to do the order. But when I came back, I re-measured everything in the room and guess it would fit but it wasn’t the way I really wanted it to look. So I called her and put a hold on the bookcases. And then I had two different people call me and say it was ready to ship. I told them that the bookcases were cancelled and supposed to be on hold. By the third time they called us, they said they'll cancel everything. So the last thing was we just cancelled everything and we’re gonna start from scratch to see if we can find something else.

    I had some complaints on our La-Z-Boy purchase. We had an issue with the furniture, which was a big hassle and a half. But the people in the store was wonderful. And the gentleman and the interior designer that I worked with were fine. It was just that the furniture that came was messed up and I had to get new pieces. They told me that it could be fixed, and then it wasn’t. Otherwise, the people in the store that I’ve worked with have been very gracious and lovely, and I appreciate their time. The company that delivered the furniture wasn’t so fine. But it’s okay.

    Bought my sectional to replace one from another company that totally collapsed in 6 months but was perfect size and colour. We have always known of La-Z-boy quality and our new one is very comfy. We have an issue with the corner piece which is under stuffed. It was delivered on Friday and today is Sunday. The first time I sat in it there were deep wrinkles. Phoned the store and they said they would pick it up and add stuffing. We'll see how it goes. Was disappointed especially after spending a lot of extra money on La-z-boy and 10 weeks of not having a sofa.

    I had an issue with the furniture and La-Z-Boy had to replace it all. I went online to read comments and then I was able to find the desk relation department. I contacted them and they took care of everything for me, so I was happy about that. It was just delivered last year. And the guys that delivered it were the same ones that did my dining this year and they were topnotch. They went above and beyond. They were very meticulous, considerate, and did a fantastic job. I got to use the furniture once for Thanksgiving, and 2 chairs have a fraying on the edge so nothing is tucked in or tightened. Someone needs to come out and fix or adjust it. But everything is beautiful. I can sit and use it a little bit more and it seems to have very good quality. We'll be purchasing the next round coming up for our living room. It will be the La-Z-Boy showhouse.

    Purchased a red leather reclina-way recliner for more than $2400 thinking I was getting a superior quality made in Canada. First off the chair arrived in the wrong colour... burgundy, not red. Additionally the leather was mismatched colour and grains on each piece and not installed tightly, it was bunched up on the arms and footrest. The footrest had a thick, black line through the leather and loose strings of thread hanging. I emailed la-z-boy and the store called me back. The manager said colour issue was my lighting. No compensation was offered. I called head office who informed me they don't replace, they only repair. And also that each store is independently owned and operated. Head office told me there was nothing they could do that I would have to deal with the store. She said she would place a call to the store on my behalf and request a discount, which call was never returned. I would not recommend La-Z-Boy furniture to anyone.

    Me and my wife went into the Barboursville, WV location and purchased a sofa and couch. My wife picked out the fabric and we ordered pieces. Sales lady told us that they say 60 days but it's more like 5 weeks. Not a problem, but I called to check on pieces and was told that the fabric was on back order and that it was going to be more like 3 months instead of 5 weeks, so I drove an 1 hr to see what kind of solution we could come up with to resolve the issue and upon arrival I was told that I signed a contract and I didn't have any options, would let me cancel order, would give me a refund.

    Oh yeah don't let forget to say the sales manager was very rude and that I never got a call within the 3 day cancellation period to tell that they didn't have the material and it would be 3 months before pieces would be available. So I have little respect for this business and that way they treated me. Will never make another purchase from La-Z-Boy. Should have gotten a call within the 3 days to tell me material was unavailable and given the option to cancel.

    I am a pastor and university faculty in Charleston, Illinois. I have purchased La-Z-Boy furniture for my home (parsonage) for nearly 30 years. My living room and den both have only this brand. I have been pleased with the product these many years, until now. A few months ago, I reported a defected couch/recliner that I had recently purchased for the Champaign, IL, store, which was still under warranty. On September 21, 2016, an assessor arrived and, after his review, said that they would be replacing the couch/recliner. He left me a paper with instructions to call if I had not received one within 4-6 weeks.

    So, after no contact for six weeks, I called the number he had provided, left a voice mail and received a call back a day or two later. The lady, I think her name was Connie, informed me that they would be shipping me a replacement part and would fix the item soon. I'm not sure how they will be able to fix the defected couch and I was somewhat disappointed with just a part replacement. I'm almost certain that this won't fix the problem with it. Anyway, it is now December 9, 2016, and nothing from La-Z-Boy regarding my furniture. So, I'm trying another avenue of reporting this problem through social media and phone calls to higher administration to, hopefully, finally have my furniture replaced or repaired.

    I purchased a sofa and two loveseats (all matching) 4 years ago from La-z-Boy. We had never purchased furniture from La-z-Boy before and felt that we wanted better quality furniture this time around. I was told that the cushions on the couches were to be flipped and rotated which is what I did about every month. 2 years after purchase, as I was flipping cushions, I noticed that one of the cushions was coming apart at the zipper seam. A few months later another cushion had done the same thing right at the zipper seam. I took pictures, sent into Customer Care and several weeks later they called to tell me that the cushions were not under warranty and I could purchase new ones for $300 each.

    Now I have 3 cushions doing the same thing. I cannot believe that La-z-Boy would not stand up for their product. The furniture looks brand new from a guests point of view but the zipper seams should not do this and I believe this is a defect in the product itself and not consumer damage. I have filed another claim and am hoping they will step up and admit that this is to be fixed free of charge. I cannot see us purchasing furniture from La-z-Boy again if this is how they handle defects in their products.

    All of my furniture in the last probably 30 years has been La-Z-Boy. They are guaranteed for life and frankly, anyone would get sick of it before it wears out. We purchased a chair and a half sofa/recliner from them. Everything has been fabulous until we received them. My husband and my daughter went to move it. Then all of a sudden, she started screaming because this little tack that has about a 1-inch stem to it went fully into her foot. We took it out and made sure we got it to bleed because she was in shock when it came out. Then I called the physician right away. I went to La-Z-Boy locally and I told them what happened. I also told them that if it's loose, their people should be aware that they can't just shove that in there and hope that it holds up until they get it to the destination.

    Other than that, my experience with them had been very good. Their rep was fabulous. I lost my job when I initially ordered the furniture, so I asked their sales rep to just sit on that order for a month or so. I told her that I will get the furniture, but I can't get it just yet. When I did order it, they said to allow up to six weeks for the delivery. They called me to see what would be convenient and it came sooner than I anticipated. Their products are moderately priced and are of good quality. They have improved dramatically on their style where anyone could go from contemporary to traditional. I have recommended them to one of the partners at the company where I work. They were looking for furniture and they just spent $3,00 on a fully electric loveseat. They got it on sale and they were excited about it.

    We purchased two beautiful recliners in a gorgeous red color. These are the greatest, most comfortable chairs and the color really adds a "pop" to our decor.

    The customer service we received from the Costa Mesa store was awful. We visited the store several times before we purchased the couch. We were told each piece was a specific size and when the couch was delivered it did not fit the space due to the size being larger than we were told. The manager Caroline did agree to get us the correct couch and sent Ricky to deal with us. Ricky was great and the only person at the store or at the customer service line that even cared about what was going on and was the only one willing to try and help.

    When it came time to deliver 6 weeks later now we are in the 13th week since initial order and payment. We were given a time by the store and another by the delivery dept and we asked for help regarding the delivery and was told there is nothing that could be done. We called the store and acting manager John hung up on me and when I called back the person who answered also hung up on me. When I went to the store they said there is nothing they could do. I asked for the district or regional manager's contact info and both the store and customer service refused to give it or have that person contact me.

    It has been the worst experience I have ever had and I will never buy from La-Z-Boy again. The only right spot in the entire store was Ricky who has gone out of his way to try and save the relationship. But the rest of the employees don't seem to care and just give a blank stare when questioned about the status of my furniture. From being told the new couch would be rushed to waiting longer for the new one than I waited for the original wrong couch. What a terrible experience this has been.

    My mother spent a good amount of money on the three recliners to be told the material is not covered. When she bought the chairs she was told she was getting fabric coverage but when she called La-Z-Boy directly she was told it was not covered. Why sell a product for a large price that doesn't last for years. All three recliners have pilling fabric that shouldn't be pilling. We are very dissatisfied with the way La-Z-Boy has responded to our report of the fabric problems.

    I had to argue to get repair done. Should have never purchased the material on my chairs that I did. Pilling in less than 6 months. Lack of stuffing and pilling was not part of warranty they said. Then what is? In the end it was repaired but I should never have had to call numerous times over several months to have issues addressed. No one verified my parts were ordered. I had to keep calling in to check status and then call in the schedule. Not a good follow up for a customer reported issue. Material is terrible on my chairs and same material is on my pillows and it is awful for a couch that is not used very much. Feel free to call me on my cell phone to discuss further.

    15 years ago I got a sofa and then a cabinet for a TV from La-Z-Boy. I've always wanted a sectional and finally decided to buy one from them. It worked out and everything was great. What's good about the product is that now I sit on it and it bounces back up on its own. With the sofa I had before, I'd get up and have to adjust the pillow and puff it back up.

    On May 4th, our house burned. We decided to replace our old La-Z-Boy furniture with La-z-Boy. We had a delightful designer (Meryl) at the Hoover location.     Working with the store was great and salespeople ordered exactly what we wanted and were great in assisting us. Great experience. Delivery... People that delivered had zero personality and did a good job but very unfriendly. The issue I have is that we received delivery on 11/20/16. When I first used the power recliner the chair did not close completely (foot rest closed about 6 to 12 inches from chair and stopped). Called sales rep right away and she told me to call the 800 care #. They initially said it would be the end of December to get a technician out. She did call back and say she could get someone out to look at the chair on 12/13/16. That is almost 4 weeks after delivery. That to me is unacceptable since this is a brand new piece and should not be defective. Just felt a quicker response to this repair is not unreasonable. Still waiting for tech to come out and hoping he can repair or replace the chair without a battle. Thanks.

    Had a few small scrapes from delivery in Sept, requested touch-up instructions, but service insisted on sending a tech. First available appt. was in Nov. Tech said the furniture was probably imported, so ordering touch up solution would take another month. (The tags indicate that these are genuine La-Z-Boy products. I would not be happy if they are imported) I called service when the touch-up solution arrived. First available appt is the end of Dec. That's 3 mos for a small touch-up. I like the furniture well enough, but service has not been very convenient.

    I purchased furniture for my elderly parents October of 2015 and for myself October 2016. On both orders I purchased the Ultra Shield protection. I now need service on my Dad's recliner and Ultra Shield is unable to be contacted. Even the La-Z-Boy rep on the phone said good luck. I checked with BBB and they have horrible rating. I wish I would have checked before buying. Shame on La-Z-Boy for associating themselves with such a shady company. I would like to have my coverage fees refunded. Without satisfaction I will never use La-Z-Boy again. What a shame because they are a Michigan company and I like to support Michigan businesses.

    Gas smells in fabric - The La-Z-Boy company we bought the medical lift chair does not understand that my husband is very ill and the fumes from the fabric is making him ill. I have called and they have poor customer service. I called the corp office and very poor help from them with the problem. I will never recommend La-z-boy to anyone. And, their return policy is the worst I have I countered.

    I bought a few things from La-Z-Boy. The first thing I bought was a sofa, which has been here for three years and recently I got end tables. When I bought it, I wanted to get rid of my old sofa. I had been to La-Z-Boy with a couple of friends. They wanted me to help pick out a couple of chairs and I liked what I saw. So when I wanted a sofa, I went back and found something I liked. It worked out fine and I like it very much. I’ve had a lot of compliments on it.

    The La-Z-Boy manager is terrific. I dealt with her every time I bought something there and she’s very good. In fact, when I bought the end tables, she said that they had two of them in stock, but then, she called me very apologetically and said that they were going to have to make one because they only had one. So, I had to wait a little longer, which was fine because I was going on vacation. She called me when they were ready, but I was on vacation and I told her I wanted to have them the day after I get back. She said she’d make sure they’re there.

    Their delivery crews have always been great. I had two different things delivered, and both crews were terrific. They were very helpful, clean, nice to deal with and professional. I'm very happy with the quality of my furniture. It’s not cheap, but in relation to the quality, the cost is fine. I had very good experiences at La-Z-Boy, even when I just go in to browse. It’s a very nice store with very nice merchandise.

    We have had pretty good experiences with La-Z-Boy. We recently purchased five sofas and two chairs and have also bought another loveseat within the last year. We have bought a lot from them and their products did last and the quality is good. The team at the Annapolis store is wonderful. I got to talk to almost everybody there at some point and they were all extremely friendly and professional. They couldn’t have been any nicer and any more helpful. The manager whom I got a good bit of dealings with was also really wonderful.

    I worked a lot with the designer there and she's lovely. She's very talented in terms of what she puts together in her vision. She came out to the house and put things together for me in the computer so that when I went in, I could look at how things would really look. I really appreciated that. She really listened and did a really good job. It can get overwhelming particularly when one is buying a lot of furniture for different rooms. They would be walking through and suddenly see something else and say “Oh, wow. Let me look at this.” Their designer was really great, saying, “Oh. Well, that is great. That might work for somewhere. But right now, we’re working on this... Let’s just stay…” which is really good.

    When we were walking through the store and I saw something I loved, she told me we can make it work. And we really had to throw out some of the other things we had already chosen because this new rug was quite a bit different as it had a lot of different colors in it. She told me “I really want you to love what you’re getting, not just feel like it works in your home and it’s fine, but I want you to love it.” And I think that’s right. One should love what they get when they are spending money. It would’ve been very easy for her to say, “Oh, yeah. That one’s nice but it doesn’t really go with what we’ve got planned." She could’ve just pushed me along and I really appreciate that she didn't. She’s phenomenal.

    We needed a new couch. We decided to go to La-Z-Boy for their quality and reputation and bought a top grain leather sectional in the hopes we would not have to buy another couch again for awhile. We knew that in doing so, the couch we bought would not be cheap. We purchased a top grain genuine leather sectional for $3,000 (it was originally $5,000) plus the $400 extended warranty. After about a year and a half it began to peel in spots. We contacted the extended warranty but they said they did not cover an issue like that. The 1 year manufacturer warranty had expired and the customer care said they would not do anything about the issue.

    Over the next year the peeling got much worse and is peeling in several areas. At that point I decided to go to the store and speak with a manager, as I knew something had to be wrong and this was not normal. I was told to call Customer Care and send in pictures for review. I did so on Nov 7th and after a month of not hearing from anyone called to check on the status. In the meantime, I called a local upholsterer, who has 40 years in the business. She said that in her 40 years she had never seen top grain leather peel. She said real leather will possibly crack and fade over many years but does not peel. I decided to educate myself further and upon further research, I came to find out that a material called bonded leather and split leather are known to peel. This is because they are synthetic or only bits of real leather that are used to make the bonded leather.

    As I said, I called customer care after no one got back to me for a month. I was told that their specialist said it was not defective and that I would have to have it fixed on my own. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. I asked her if it was common for top grain leather to peel, she didn't really answer. I let her know that top grain leather does not and should not peel and there for it was either in fact defective leather or my couch was made of some sort of bonded leather and not top grain leather as it should be. To date the couch is only 2 1/2 years old. I was told that the supervisor was going to send it to another specialist for review and they would get back to me. This was interesting because their first "specialist" said it was not defective. The upholsterer I spoke with said anyone with any experience and knowledge of leather would agree that peeling is not normal or common for top grain leather.

    I have tried to be patient and go through the proper channels to let La-Z-Boy customer care handle this situation properly. They have not. I have been respectful when speaking to people and explaining my situation. La-Z-Boy's mission statement states that "their furniture is made with the highest QUALITY materials to provide you with YEARS of comfort". We purchased our couch from La-Z-Boy and made the investment for that very same quality and good customer service but sadly have not gotten it. I just want someone in the company to handle this situation the way they would want to be treated if they had purchased a $5,000 genuine top grain couch. And so far no one has done that. I have posted a few pictures but they only show 1 section. The peeling is happening on all 3 pieces of the sectional and I have many more pics.

    We purchased our new living room set from the Alpharetta, GA location on November 13. We had great service during our time there. However, our furniture has since been delayed an additional 30 days because they suddenly ran out of the fabric we wanted (even though it was completely in-stock at the time of purchase). We were pretty disappointed by this and when contacting the store about our frustrations, they said there wasn't "anything [they] could do" and if we canceled our order, we would lose our deposit AND pay a 30% restock fee.

    After further discussions (and follow-ups on our end), they said they could offer free delivery, which is about 3.5% of the total cost of the set. How generous. We finally gave up because it was not worth fighting any longer. The thing that frustrated me the most in this situation was the lack of accountability and apology during our discussions with management. As someone who has worked in hospitality roles for almost 10 years, I was utterly shocked by this. There should have been more effort to make this right, in the hopes that would earn our business in the future. However, I can assure you, this is the last time I work with La-Z-Boy Furniture.

    We had our first La-Z-Boy furniture here for 20 years but it was getting too old and had some tears and stuff in it, so we decided to buy a new one, which we've now had for six months. I love my new chair and it's comfortable, I felt like there isn't enough material put into the mechanics and to the general overall make of it. It's very lightweight and isn't solid. And the cost was very high, but I'm happy with its color and style. This recliner does not get used a lot because I don’t want the animals on it, although I wish that they would make them deeper the way they used to where I could nestle into one. I can't do that with the newer ones as I'm sitting on the very top of the cushion. The comfort was better in the older ones. But overall, La-Z-Boy has been friendly, professional, and informative.

    We bought a lift chair, we picked it up at the Florence Ky store. The same gentleman that sold us the chair is the same one that treated us with so much disrespect along with the store manager. When we picked the chair up we brought a plastic cover and tie downs. We are in our later 60's and my husband is disabled. They helped lift the heavy chair in the truck but didn't help us tie it down or cover it. He was in a hurry to leave the store according to the manager. We walked back in to tell the manager. And all he could say was he should have told him. No apology or help. We have been buying La-Z-Boy furniture for over 30 years. We have never been treated with such disrespect. We are appalled and ashamed that anyone could or would ever treat anyone especially a disabled customer in such a manner.     I had just retired and so redoing the family room and giving it a new look was something that my husband and I were thinking. We built this house 24 years ago and we haven't done anything, so it was a whole new change. We had the walls and the ceiling painted then we got new carpet. Then we stopped at La-Z-Boy and saw everything we liked. We purchased two loveseats that are leather, electric, and reclines. Then the designer came down and did a board for us. She looked at our house and in the living room where we wanted to make our changes. It's the first time ever that I had a designer come in. I like to decorate, and she thought I have a good taste. The board was truly awesome because it took all the stress out of what goes with what.

    Then they gave us the price and me and my husband both fainted. We both said that we've never done anything like this and so we did it. We got the little square boxes where you can lift the top off and store anything in there then you can turn it over and it can access a tray. I got a whole new look with new lamps. We got end tables and a bookcase that's like a ladder and leans against the wall. We had an oak wall unit and we were thinking of using that with everything, but after we saw the console, we decided to go for the whole thing like getting rid of the oak wall unit and stay with a simple TV console.

    I'm still having a little difficulty with the accent rug. It's a nice size but it's been bulking on us like it gets crinkles in it and we're tripping. But the representative and the designer who has been working with me has been wonderful. She came down and took pictures. I'm still in the process of keeping it rolled up for over a week.

    I'm very impressed with the quality of the furniture. We got a sectional back in the ‘80s and it rolled out to a queen size bed. It was like a discontinued fabric but still has quality. We had that for almost 15 years. We gave it to our son who had gotten married in 2002 and they used that whole thing. And then we went to leather. Also, I didn’t think everything was overpriced. Everything came to $12,000 some and we put $6,000 down and we financed for zero financing for four years. And we comfortably have a payment that we're okay with and we thought, “What the heck, we're just gonna take the risk on no interest for four years.”

    I've recommended La-Z-Boy and I didn’t even have to say anything. People just come and say, “Oh, my God. This is so nice.” Even my kids, they're 43 and 39, and they said that it's traditional like but it has a nice flair. They're totally outstanding. They got great service and wonderful quality. I like the deals that they have with the financing, and that helps out even if you just retired and you don’t wanna spend all your money on that.

    I purchased a recliner off the floor of your location in Wayne, NJ for my father who just had open heart surgery and needed something comfortable and convenient for him to use during his recovery. The reason for purchasing a floor model was because of timeframe and unable to wait for the available delivery days given to us. Unfortunately, the recliner we purchased does not work to assist my father in his recovery and we called to request a return. We were denied a return based on the fact that we purchased a floor model. However, at the time of purchase we were never told that if purchasing a floor model we would not be able to return it. Furthermore, we were told on four separate occasions during the time of purchase that we had three days to return the recliner and again were never told that the return policy of three days did not apply to this purchase.

    I find it unacceptable that the store associates failed to mention this and now want us to keep an item we cannot use. I have reached out to the store as well as the customer care number and no one has been able to help resolve the situation. It is one thing if the store had advised us of the return policy with floor models and we made the decision to proceed with the purchase, but it is another when we are misled by the store associates on the return policy to gain a sale.

    I recently purchased a lift recliner. When I was trying out the recliners in the showroom I found one that I liked and proceeded to operate the remote. I was looking for a recliner that could assist me in getting up. I need a knee operation and the chair I picked really helped me rise comfortably.     I am very unhappy with the leather sofa and loveseat I purchased. The brand new furniture the cushions sink and now I am having issues using the manual reclining. This entire ordeal makes me REGRET choosing La-Z-Boy. Especially how long it has taken the cushion to be delivered, which was a week longer than what I was originally told. The furniture even has the tags on it. I shouldn't have to delay with repairing brand new furniture. If anything I should be offered either a refund of some sort or replacing it with a brand new set. Dealing with the sales team no issues at all. Enjoyed dealing with them. The tech is suppose to come out tomorrow and I will show him the additional issues encountered. NOT HAPPY!!!

    Updated on 12/06/2016: I have had to waste valuable time to go through a ridiculous ordeal working with a technician from Rapid Response, which mind you is a third party vendor that La-z-Boy works with to fix BRAND NEW FURNITURE. There is no reason I should have to go through making four phone calls for them to fix brand new furniture. Sadly, this has tainted my view of La-z-Boy. No one has offered reimbursement, replacing the set (A Leather reclining Loveseat and Sofa), etc. It has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience I have ever had after spending a significant amount of money. Their furniture is not cheap and SUPPOSEDLY custom made. At this point, I would have been better off going to Raymour and Flanigan or BJs.

    My siblings and I purchased 2 chairs for our elderly parents. Generally when one thinks of La-Z-Boy one thinks of a chair that would be comfortable and reliable. My father-in-law had his chair for many years in his elder years, using his chair for comfort throughout his chemotherapy. So, we believed La-Z-Boy to be a good choice for our aging parents with failing health. The sales people at the Naperville store were helpful and friendly as we helped my parents pick their chair and selection of the remote feature to allow them easy use.

    When we left the store after purchasing 2 chairs they were both happily looking forward to receiving them in 6 weeks. This was their early Christmas gift. However, ever since receiving them it has been a service nightmare. From day one my mom's chair worked perfectly. My dad's did not. Upon plugging it in, he sat in it and pushed the remote. It made a crunching sound. Unable to use. He called the next morning and explained the situation.

    A service person came in about a week stating he needed to order parts. The parts arrived in a week. The service tech came and stated he had the WRONG PARTS, ordered more. He was to come on a Wed but called to cancel (this was now the day before Thanksgiving). On Friday a different technician came out, looked at the chair and stated he could not fix it. It was irreparable. He stated he needed to write up the report and SOMEONE would contact in 5-7 business days. Well, the service manager called my father and told him that it was my father's fault the chair was broken and that La-Z-Boy has no responsibility in his matter. He actually told my elderly father "IF YOU WANT A NEW CHAIR HE COULD PURCHASE IT AND LA-Z-BOY MIGHT WAIVE THE DELIVERY FEE."

    But La-Z-Boy will not repair or replace this chair. WOW!! Unbelievable!! I paid $850 for his chair. Am I to pay another $850. I don't think so. So, I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM LA-Z-BOY. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED! If La-Z-Boy would stand behind their product and repair or replace it. That would be decent customer service.

    Rude salesperson. I called about a issue with the chair and was treated rudely on the phone. Workmanship of chair was very poorly made. Repairman took days to return my call. Repairing a brand new chair instead of replacing it isn't very good service. I wouldn't buy anything else from La-Z-Boy! Very disappointed!!!

    UPDATED ON 04/11/2017: Have been trying to get a recliner with good quality since October of 2016. Have had 2 new chairs with parts replaced on both because of poor workmanship. Never get return phone calls. Have left 2 messages for the repairman since Wednesday of last week and today without a return call. Same thing with the first repairman they sent out. I would never buy anything from them. Quality is bad along with their services. Never experienced any company this horrible!

    I have two identical leather recliners from La-Z-Boy that are about 2.5 years old. The leather on one of the recliners is cracking and peeling. I called La-Z-Boy and was surprised to get a total runaround. One tells me to call another and the other has someone else I should call. The recliners ARE out of warranty, but I have had several La-Z-Boy leather recliners and have never had this happen. The past leather recliners have been passed on and are still in great condition. These were not cheap chairs and I feel like they should certainly maintain for longer than 2.5 years. My conclusion is that La-Z-Boy is NOT the quality they used to be and they do not stand behind their products. This was my last purchase with them. One other thing - I wrote an email to customer service and have yet to hear even an acknowledgment from them.

    I would like to say this is the cheapest piece of Furniture that I have ever bought. It is made with particle board and other cheap products. I paid $1400.00 for this garbage and the first issue I had was within the first couple of months. The motor went out and one of the recliners and the unit was very wobbly that when the unit is up you can move it side to side real easy like the whole unit is loose. They came out and repaired the one motor and said that the other was normal. Yeah for junk. So now after 22 months since purchased the stitching is coming out on the center cushion where I don't even sit on. Plus it is more loose than ever. This is the worst experience ever. I bought LA-Z-BOY thinking it was made good. I'm not happy and I will not ever purchase another item from here and I will tell everyone I know to do as well.

    We purchased chair, couch, and loveseat 3-4 years ago and the material is separating almost just looking at it. We have replaced two back pieces at our expenses one year ago. The whole thing is garbage. The material is separating in places that have only been sat in couple of hundred times since new. I know this is a material defect without a doubt but La-Z-Boy only has one year warranty. I want to make as many people aware of this as possible. I am pissed.

    La-Z-Boy has some great products, a lot of variations and configurations. Their sales reps were all pretty good. They were very knowledgeable, courteous and they gave us plenty of time to look things over to make up our mind. When the delivery team came to put things in for us, they did a great job. Although, La-Z-Boy's cost was a little high for being a manual component instead of electronic. That's probably going to deter people from buying.     After a house fire, and needing to replenish all of our contents, we went to La-Z-Boy, to purchase a new "1.5" recliner, (we had one at time of fire), and chose to replace our "non-La-Z-Boy" couch, that matched. At the time of purchase, you offered a "new material", that is a cloth, but looks like leather, and you said to "treat as you would any other cloth". We have done just that, and almost ALL of the seat's "material", has chipped off, looking like it's 100 years old now. I contacted the store, as well as manufacturer, but nothing could be done. I am very disappointed, as both our couch, AND recliner, look like mass destruction, and are only 6 years old. Also, we have had the mechanisms replaced 3x on the recliner. Not made like they used to be made at all. If I could replace material, I would be so much more pleased, but at this point, would not recommend this material to anyone.

    We bought two recliners six months ago. It was the worst thing I ever could've done! After paying 1900.00 for all the bells and whistles my wife and I are very unhappy! We've been buying La-Z-Boy products for thirty years! These chairs give both of us stiff necks! The head pad is overstuffed and the middle area is under stuffed! And yes after waiting a MONTH someone came out and put some added stuffing in the back support area of the chairs and now it feels like crap again! I've spoken to others about this problem and they said they will no longer buy La-Z-Boy products again either!

    UPDATED ON 01/11/2017:My wife and I purchased two La-Z-Boy rocker recliners from the Reading La-Z-Boy store and have had nothing but issues with them ever since we obtained them! From the get-go they started giving my wife and I headaches and it's actually a chore to sit in the chair! Their customer service to address this issue is nothing but a snail's pace to get these issues resolved!

    The first issue we had was the back support started sagging then to get a person to come out here and agree that yes that is the problem was just the start of the issue. Then he had to order the proper stuffing to put the chair where it should be. He was in full agreement that yes the chair was understaffed at the time. Then you have to wait for the stuffing to come to your house then you must reapply for another appointment which could take up to two weeks for him to come in and actually work on the chair. I discussed our issue of being tilted forward by too heavy of a head pad on the chair that is the cause of giving my wife and I headaches.

    With a very short time I guess the stuffing settled and we were right back where we started from. I had placed another review on this site and they got in touch with me send a man out again who said this time he feels the bottom cushions are pushing us up high enough and placing our position definitely in the chair so he ordered new bottom cushions then La-Z-Boy is supposed to call you on when the person is coming out. This has been two weeks since the man was last here.

    They called this morning to tell me that they can be here tomorrow morning however my wife and I both work! So the lady says "Well sorry the next appointment is at the end of the month." We can't wait two more weeks to have this issue resolved! And the fact that this replacement cushion is it the same one that the chair came with? Well it is indeed. Sad - just weeks after installation or it is it an upgraded cushion the repair guy couldn't tell.

    I called customer service again to tell them two weeks is not acceptable and that something must be done and a lady named Claudia who seem to be very condescending to me said in my particular area that's when they come by and I said "How come the other two times it was not an issue to have an afternoon appointment?"

    Our family has bought La-Z-Boy products especially the recliner chairs for 50 years and never had an issue with the quality chair condition or customer service. This however is a whole new ball game. I have a feeling that all they can do is put what I would call temporary fixes on this chair and it is going to do the same things it's doing right now and soon after my warranty is up I may want them to buy back these chairs as I do not see a permanent fix for this issue in this style of chair. Most people I know enjoy Saturday night home watching TV in their chairs. My wife and I are starting to dread this as these chairs cause us nothing but problems. I need ConsumerAffairs to go to bat for the little guy and make this nightmare go away for us!

My last one did this, but the company sent me slides that kept it from sliding. When I called the company I bought it from AND La-Z-Boy Customer Service for similar slides, I was told they did not have any other slides/guides.     I had a really nice experience with the staff at La-Z-Boy especially in contrast to the couple of other furniture stores I've been to. At one other store, I told a rep that he made me feel like I was being stalked through the store because I couldn't even just enjoy, relax, and look around. This guy kept covering and swarming in on me every time I looked at anything. So I left feeling really annoyed. And then I went into La-Z-Boy and there were fewer people and it was quieter there. The salesperson that approached me was really gracious, and courteous, and said if I see something I want more information on, he'll keep a lookout for me, and I just raise a flag, and he'll come over. And he did. He was super helpful and we were questioning some different combinations. He recruited somebody else who brought over some design ideas. Overall, it's a nice experience.

    The delivery guys were very nice and helped me move a couple things around. They also made sure I knew how the furniture worked. It looks really nice, feels really comfortable and sturdy. It's also competitively priced. I've looked at a couple of other places, and while it wasn't the cheapest, it certainly is a better quality. I'm really pleased.

    I thought the La-Z-Boy Brand was a safe bet when I went looking for a reliable comfortable recliner so I bought the Odon Recliner. It looked good, was comfortable, and thought it was well built. And the guarantee sold me. I've been using it for 5 months and the fabric is pilling. Pilling is a surface defect of textiles caused by wear, and considered unsightly. My Odon recliner was purchased with the performance fabric. I was told to expect years of use - the warranty on the fabric reads three years.

    I called service and was told that pilling was normal and told that I should use a razor to shave it down. REALLY? Not what I expected to hear. Surely, it should not pill like a cheap sweater. So this is 5 months of normal wear, the fabric is pilling and I'm expected to believe it's normal. Funny none of my other furniture fabrics have behaved like this. I would expect La-Z-Boy to honor their warranty and give me a fabric that will last longer than 5 months.

I have had $300 store brand furniture that was higher quality. My favorite part is when I contact La-Z-Boy and I get a phone call suggesting that I work with the store in which I bought it. I could. However, it isn't their fault your furniture is garbage quality. Lesson learned - with La-Z-Boy you certainly don't get what you pay for.

    We purchased two recliners and a sofa. The issue is with both push-back recliners. They are extremely tight and extremely noisy! Trying to lift the footrest is a major chore. I am 140# and have continued problems operating these chairs, though I shouldn't. When I am able to get the foot rest up, I still cannot push the recliner all the way back. I cringe every time I put the chair back down due to the loudness of the springs. These were not cheap recliners, so I did expect higher quality and ease of operation. I've never had this problem with any other brand.

    This is not so much a complaint about doing business with La-Z-Boy as it is about their product. Various models of La-Z-Boy recliners are sold by Sears. Today I attempted to purchase the item described in the subject line. The order could not be submitted. The message appeared... 'Due to restrictions in your state this item cannot be delivered.' So in other words this La-Z-Boy chair cannot be sold in the state of California. I tried 2 times more and the same message appeared. I called the Sears customer service and they didn't know the reason for the restriction. I sure do like this chair and am thinking about driving into Arizona to purchase the chair. I am assuming it has something to do with the level of flame retardancy. Very disappointing though! Only recliner I can find that I really like and it can't be sold in California.

    I bought this $1519 for this leather recliner and a four year warranty which all totaled $1873.45. We bought it October 28, 2015. The leather is damaged on the seat, where the color of the leather is totally a different color and the back where you rest your head is worn. After 11 months they will not replace the chair. They mailed a piece of leather in the mail to me for it to be sewn on. Another piece will also be sent. Can you imagine sending a piece of leather in the mail with no letter, info, or anything!!! I went to La-Z-Boy 490 Ohio Pike where I bought the chair and they said a man would call me. WHAT!!!

    This is a leather chair, and after 11 months it should not be doing this!!! I have two leather couches which are like new and are six years old!!! I told them I want another chair as this should not have happened to a good leather chair. All I get is "I am sorry" and they are sending a man out to look at it. A man already came out a month ago and looked at it. I will never buy from La-Z-Boy again. I purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner and had it for ten years and it was material and it was in pretty good condition. La-Z-Boy better inspect their products before they get the products out to the customers. Perhaps it is not even leather. Sales Associate is ** and he guaranteed the chair would last for years.

    We purchased a reclining sofa and chair about four years ago. My wife is disabled with a bad back and needed good back support. Starting about a year ago, the sofa became uncomfortable to her. Upon closer inspection we realized that the seat back does not completely come forward and the seams of the seat have shifted. She now needs two pillows to make up for the lack of support.

    Upon contacting La-Z-Boy I learned a few things. First, even during the warranty period of one year, you have to pay a $99 service fee for somebody to come out. Second, the 3-year service contract we purchased runs concurrent with the warranty, so you really only have two years of service. Neither the people in the store nor the customer service people really care about a customer who has purchased their goods. Rather than having them come out to our house to repair the sofa, which could end up being very expensive ($99 service fee plus $79 per hour of labor), I'll get rid of it and buy a new set someplace else.

    After purchasing 2 custom sofas and 3 custom recliners from La-Z-Boy over the past 20 years, I was very disappointed in the quality of my most recent purchase and experience with the Chesapeake, Virginia store. First off, the chair(s) was well below the quality I expected and frankly should never have the left the factory. I say chairs because I was "locked" in to your "no refund on custom orders" clause even though the product was poor quality.

    My only recourse was to have another chair ordered which was also defective. The sales associate had to swap out the back and seat of each chair to create a suitable chair. Which still is below my standard. However, I was in no mood to order yet another chair in hopes of a third one looking any better. Secondly, my experience with the manager on duty was not only unprofessional but rude. Sadly, I have no intention of considering another La-Z-Boy purchase based on my most recent experience.

    My wife and I shopped all over the area before purchasing two power recliners from your Spanish fort store. I got the suede/leather in gray and my wife went with a patterned cloth that is rated "P". We were informed by the salesman that both would hold up for years under regular usage. I'm happy to say that the gray recliner is doing wonderfully and I couldn't be happier.

    My wife's chair is not doing so well. It was ordered and after a 6 week wait, we received her chair. After inspecting it, we found that the stuffing was not equally distributed throughout the recliner. The fabric started to produce fuzzy fabric balls after only one day of usage. The chair squeaks incessantly when rocking (my wife loves to rock).

    My wife has made many calls to the store about the issues and as of November 21, 2016, we have yet to hear back from them concerning how to remedy this situation. We are now within days (2) from our 30 day period of return. We have never had a bad experience from La-Z-Boy in over 30 years of buying your products. Please help me to bring this issue to a close and get a chair that my wife can enjoy for the next 10 years or more.

    I purchased a leather Rocker Recliner (Owen) 2 years ago. In less than a year, the head rest portion became very sticky... no cleaning would help. I called La-Z-Boy and a technician came, took pictures and left. I waited several weeks with no response. I called the service center and they told me a new back was ordered (I would not have known this if I didn't call.) It took several months for the replacement piece to arrive. Within a few months, this piece also became sticky to the touch. I've owned other leather chairs and never had such a problem as I've had with this piece from La-Z-Boy.

    My husband and I recently purchased a La-Z-Boy sofa and loveseat. We have two small children so we opted to go with the new iClean Fabric after hearing about how durable and long lasting it would be. We had to pay extra money for this durable, long lasting fabric which was fine since the sales lady was adamant that La-Z-Boy stands behind their product, said that they have excellent customer service, etc.

    We have had our couches less than a month and you can easily tell where your head and legs have rested on both sides on the couch. The material is all balled up and looks like a sweatshirt that was washed a thousand times. When I called the store where we bought the couch, I was given a different number to call. I called that number and was asked to send a picture. Once the guy got my picture and was able to "look into it" he called back with an answer.

    Here's the plan for our BRAND NEW COUCH: wherever the couched is "balled up" it is going to need shaved. The couch is under warranty for one year and it is likely going to need shaved about three times within that year. After the warranty is up, my husband should go to walmart and get his own shaver because he will most likely have to continue to shave the couch.

    Seriously? I just paid over $2,500 for brand new couches (that includes extra for this durable, long lasting iClean Fabric) and now I'm expected to make all of these appointments with customer service to have it shaved and then I'm going to have to keep shaving it after my warranty is up? Why would I ever spend extra money on something that is going to cause me all of this extra work and time? Not to mention, you can't tell me that the shaved part of the couch is going to look the same as the rest of the couch. So, I told all of that to the customer service guy and his response was "well, at least let us try to shave it and see how it turns out. If you are still having this problem after 4 or 5 shaves then we will see what we can do. Most people have been happy with the results once they've had it shaved that many times."

    I then called the sales lady and explained to her what was happening. She agreed with me that it was ridiculous that we had purchased this nice fabric and in less than a month we were seeing these noticeable areas. She said she would contact the same guy from above and figure out a more realistic answer. Well she called back and said we should probably just have our couch shaved. I am very disappointed in my La-Z-Boy purchase. We bought this brand because it is supposed to be the best. Well I can tell you that this is not the best fabric and most definitely not the best service.

    Always a La-Z-Boy lover, not anymore. I purchased over $2500 for a sofa and recliner for my husband when we purchased our new home in June 2015, just over a year, and guess what, it 4 months past warranty, if the cushions in his chair get any lower from flattening, he may as well sit on the floor. Not to mention I purchased the outdoor living furniture for our campsite, for 1000, the black metal table/granite center, the metal came in dented in all corners. I purchased it and left it in box for 3 months before bringing it up to camp. Called Sears, no warranty, BULL, done with La-Z-Boy, live and learn.

    My husband Fabio and I purchased the James Reclining Sofa for $1472 from the Houston La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery. We have owned it for one year. We have not been happy with it from the start. I called customer service and spoke to Miss ** explaining how too dissatisfied we are with the sofa. It is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The stuffing is very compressed and you can feel the boards through the stuffing. Our backs hurt after sitting in the sofa for a short time. Also, the cushion dry leather treatment, we were obligated to purchase for $150 is completely ineffective!!! When water spilled on the sofa it immediately soaked in! The treatment does not work.

    I asked Miss ** what could be done about it. She told me as one year has passed I would have to pay for a service visit and the restuffing of the sofa. Apparently I had missed the warranty cut off by less than a month. My husband and I are so dissatisfied and NEVER wish to purchase another La-Z-Boy piece of furniture. Everyone's visit our home comments on how uncomfortable the sofa is. Not only does it look bad, it feels awful!

    I bought furniture from La-Z-Boy and it was delivered a few weeks later because I bought the upgraded pull-out bed. I didn't pull out the bed until a friend came to stay with me a few weeks later. The frame of the bed was completely rusted all the way around even though it was covered with plastic! The mattress was stained from the rust! I got in touch with the company and they said they would replace it. So they sent someone out to look at it. Then I waited a few more weeks until what I thought was the frame and mattress was delivered. I had the repairman coming to fix it and they said "no you'll have to cancel him because you don't have both parts." Then I learned I still hadn't been shipped the mattress. So a few more weeks later I get the mattress and then I had to wait a few more weeks to get the repairman to come back to fix it.

    Now as I wait patiently on hold to La-Z-Boy (again!) I sit here in my apartment with the rusty frame and mattress in the middle of everything. I called them the day the repair was made to make arrangements to have the stuff hauled away and they said they'd get back to me within 48 hours. Obviously, they didn't. So as I wait on hold, I'm writing this review! (Oh, surprise! The operator said I should hear something within 48 hours!) It's bad enough to get rusty furniture, but clearly this company has issues! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing! This whole process was a period of about six months! I will never do business with them again! And I suggest if you're thinking about it, you think otherwise!

    I've had La-Z-Boy practically my whole married life, and it's all been good. I recently got a sleeper sofa twin size because I went from a three-bedroom ranch home to a one-bedroom apartment, and my big six foot La-Z-Boy couch wouldn't fit in, so I sold it and got a smaller one. I also have with me a La-Z-Boy chair that's been around for five years. Their sales reps have all been good. I don't have complaints whatsoever. It was raining during delivery, and the team covered everything up with plastic, so the items didn't get wet. The delivery team was very courteous too.

    I know what I want when I go in their store as I've shopped there for so long. I've also shopped at La-Z-Boy out in Ohio. I walked in, told them what I wanted, and they had it. We've always been treated good. If I had any questions, I'd ask them and they would answer. I like that La-Z-Boy is American made. I don't like cheap crap, which I've tried one time. We went to Value City, got a studio bed, and in a year's time, it was gone. La-Z-Boy's cost is good. As far as their construction goes, there's no beating them when you have kids who jump on the furniture. I have always had good experience with them. They're the best. I've had different kinds of furniture, and I go right back to them.

    I was very impressed with the demonstration of La-Z-Boy's "iclean" fabric protection when we purchased it for our new furniture. But after my furniture was delivered, I cannot deal with the chemical smell that does not seem to dissipate. We cannot even sit on the pieces for more than fifteen minutes before our eyes begin to burn. It also made the fabric stiff and uncomfortable.

    We had a really crappy looking living room as it was a mishmash of things so new furniture was needed. The sales rep at La-Z-Boy was incredible. I like that she worked with us even when we made choices. She put together other choices for us and let us make our decision. My favorite thing was that she did the virtual living room for us and set everything up so that we would know how everything looked which actually ended up causing us to buy additional furniture while we were there. So it helped me out to not have to go back later and try to match everything up. She put the package together beautifully and we walked out with a complete package.

    Then she came to my house, measured my room and got the dimensions, so that she could go back and put together my virtual living room and it was perfect. She put the pieces together beautifully and with the colors that I wanted. She was amazingly personable, and was at our disposal and only our disposal the whole time we were there and it was a total full attention paid to us.

    The delivery team was okay, however, I just had surgery and somehow the delivery date got messed up. We thought we were going to have it a week earlier and we cleaned out our living room. Everything was shoved in our dining room and they didn't come that day. And when they got here they had a ton of stuff. They kind of rushed in, laid them down and rushed out. They could have waited to make sure that everything was in place how we wanted it instead of just laying it down and going. But they were professional. They kept things clean, and were respectful of all of our stuff.

    The furniture is top of the line and I'm very pleased with the quality. We were very lucky because they were at 40% off sale where we went in. So I feel like we got more than what we had anticipated. I wish somebody would have recommended them sooner. I struggled looking for furniture places and for someone to accommodate the house that I have because it's a huge house. And of course, I have my old fashioned idea of what La-Z-Boy is and it's nothing like that anymore. So they will be my first pick from now on. I won't even think about anyone else and I won't go anywhere else. It was an uncomplicated and painless experience for me. I've recommended them to friends and given out their cards.

    On 8-28-16 a Beacon Hill Sofa, Chair & 1/2 and Ottoman in white was purchased from their clearance center in Wilmington, NC. These items were purchased in an AS-IS condition and were checked thoroughly before they were decided to be purchased. Luckily the Ottoman was taken with me and the rest of the order was scheduled for delivery on 9/30 a little over a month later. When the items were delivered the skirts around the items were dirty like they were dragged on the ground. When I contacted the store their answer to me was "You knew you purchased them in as is condition." For some strange reason they were unable to comprehend the fact that they didn't look like that when they were purchased and something happened between the store and the 117 miles it was trucked.

    My sales associate made this statement "Look at the amount you save by buying these clearance items. I'm sure if you had to pay to get them cleaned you still saved money over the actual retail cost." The store manager took the same stance "You knew you purchased these items AS-IS," again in my way of thinking and other reasonable people I've spoken with couldn't believe this and wanted to know what's wrong with these people. Apparently their way of thinking is AS-IS means AS-IS no matter what happens after the purchased. I guess I should be thankful that nothing was actually spilled on them and they weren't ripped or torn because again they were purchased AS-IS. My last conversation with the store was that supposedly the sales associate contacted a cleaning company in my area and it would cost $90 to take care of this. How this was decided upon with no one actually seeing the items is beyond me.

    At this point whether that meant I would only have to spend the $90 to get it cleaned or the store would pick it up to make me go away means nothing to me and because of their AS-IS attitude I rather forfeit the $90 even if it was offered to me to make the public aware that this could happen to them. I've called the La-Z-Boy customer care center and after waiting for 20 minutes to get a "Customer Care Rep." I was basically told by them "It's between you and the store." During my current move I dealt with Havertys, Rooms To Go and Ashley Furniture and have been left with a positive experience. Please understand since I've only had dealings with the Wilmington, NC store I would prefer not to believe that all La-Z-Boy stores are run like this, or are they?

    I can take some satisfaction that I've already steered prospective customers to another furniture store and will continue doing so. Someone needs to be informing the management of the Wilmington store just because it's sold AS-IS doesn't mean if there's damage to the item while in transit the store is responsible... The word AS-IS is not a catch all to eliminate you from taking any responsibility.

    I was in the Manchester CT store for more than an hour browsing through the clearance section. There was a tag which said very clearly that the items in the clearance aisle was 50% marked down than the lowest price listed in the items tag. I picked up more than a few items and when I went to billing, they outright rejected the offer. The reason they gave me was very funny, they said someone must have put the tag in their shelf and they were not even aware of any marked down clearance. I showed them the tag they just removed the paper in front of me and crushed it saying it was not their offer. Are you really kidding me.

    This is not the experience you expect from a premium retail store. I would have expected at least a more reasonable explanation than that (an expired offer, they forgot to remove tags etc), "someone else came and pasted it" was very funny. I felt like they had no interest in me as a customer and they just let me walk away for their fault on not keeping up their store offers current.

    We've had La-Z-Boy products for a decade or so. I needed new furniture so I purchased a recliner and a sleeper sofa from them. I'm in California so I needed to find someone on the East Coast. I got in touch with La-Z-Boy there, set up an appointment to meet with them, met with them, and purchased the furniture, and they were delivered. They had a number of sales representative that were respectful and courteous but some were more knowledgeable than others. The delivery people showed up the day that they were supposed to.

    I like La-Z-Boy's products and I'm happy with their quality so far. I just think that the furniture are expensive and one can get as good a quality for less money. It also took a long time for the furniture to be delivered. I made the order in May and the items weren't delivered until September. Still I'd probably recommend them. La-Z-Boy makes good stuff. I've got furniture and two recliners which I don't think are gonna ever wear out.

    We've bought sofas and loveseats from La-Z-Boy before with our first purchase about twenty years ago. Recently, we bought a loveseat in Hampton, Newport News and then a month later a sofa at Virginia Beach. It was a wonderful experience. The sales rep at Virginia Beach was fantastic and the two women that helped us at the other store were wonderful also. All of them were very attentive and knowledgeable. We had the truck and were able to bring the loveseat ourselves and then had the sofa scheduled for delivery. The sofa was very heavy but the guys that delivered it were courteous and fantastic. I am very pleased with the quality of the furniture which we got on a sale. I'm happy with the whole deal.

    Through our 44 years of marriage we have been faithful La-Z-Boy customers - in fact we now have a sofa, love seat & 2 recliners by La-Z-Boy in our family room. Due to several back surgeries our old manual La-Z-Boy recliner was not staying in a fixed position where I could remain comfortable- that is why we went to a power recliner so that I could adjust the leg rest, the back, the head rest, and lumbar independently. I thought this is what I was getting. Let me explain. When using the switch labeled leg rest, the back of the chair starts moving back almost as soon as the leg rest starts moving up. My understanding was that the leg rest moved up only and then I could adjust the back. In fact, the picture on the control shows the leg rest up with the back still straight making it confusing as to how it actually operates. So this puts my back in a very stressful position because by the time my legs get in the desired position the back is way too far back.

    What I really thought I was getting is that the two positions would function separately to give me the freedom to find my desired position for my comfort. When all switches are in the neutral position my feet are not touching the floor- this puts my back in a stressful position also. The back will not go forward enough to alleviate this problem. Due to these reasons I cannot use this expensive recliner at all. We purchased this recliner from Jernigan Furniture in Goldsboro, NC. We contacted Jernigan Furniture within 3 days of receiving the recliner. Mr. Sam Jernigan came to our house to review the problem with us. Mr. Jernigan stated that the recliner was designed to operate this way and said he was sorry that we were not informed of this on the day we purchased it. We were not offered any type of recourse from his store level. Rather, he advised us to send in a complaint to La-Z-Boy consumer affairs.

    Since at the store level we cannot get any help, we are requesting your assistance with us to solve this situation- we do want a recliner but we cannot use this particular one. We cannot afford to take this kind of loss. Are there any other power recliners that do work independently so we can adjust the positions separately? I do believe this will help anyone with severe back problems. I would really like to talk with a representative from La-Z-Boy to discuss this situation. Thank you for any help you can give us.

    We got rid of a La-Z-Boy recliner which was several years old but still looked brand new because it looked out of place and style. It had the buttons and was woolly. Moreover, it was just a recliner and we needed something where more people could sit in the room. So we decided to get a double recliner and because our old recliner held up so well we decided to try La-Z-Boy again.

    Everybody at La-Z-Boy helped us out a bit. We were in Cranberry and Monroeville and we had someone come out to the house and help us with the fabrics and everything went fine. They couldn't have been nicer. We had a small space for the couch to get through and they knew exactly what to do as if it were their own. The quality of the furniture is very good.     Bought my first matching sofa and recliner from La-Z. I love the recliners that rock and swivel so that's what I got. Spent about $900 on it but it's what I want and was happy until after a month of having the chair it squeaked. No big deal, call La-Z-Boy and they send out a tech to fix, but it's not just to fix it they first have to order parts then YOU have to call back to schedule the tech to come out and fix it. Obviously because of my review the tech didn't fix it. Went through that process three times and the approved resection for the chair.

    My dilemma was the chair and couch were matching and I wanted them to remain matching. If you spend $2,388.13 on one couch and one chair you should get what you want right? Well I'll save you the horrid details but after six months for back and forth they finally approved the reselection on the couch. Ok great now I have my new set and what do you know...The chair is squeaking again. Smh. So I start the process and call for a tech to come and look at it only this time he no call no showed. I can't tell you anymore because that currently were I am in the process with La-Z-Boy. Needless to say I WILL NEVER BUY FROM LA-Z-BOY AGAIN!

    Our first La-Z-Boy was 20 years ago and it's still good. Earlier in September this year I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner for myself. We looked all over and they had what we liked the best. When we went in and looked, Mike the store manager gave us a lot of information. I didn't know they had interior designers from the store, and he said that if we wanted to, we could have the designer come out to the house and make suggestions of fabrics and different stuff so that's what we did.

    It's the first time in my life I've bought brand new furniture for me and La-Z-Boy made it a really good experience. Since I had custom-ordered a couple of things I had to wait until they were in and then they called and said that they could come. The delivery guys took their shoes off when they came in the house. They were very careful and courteous.

    I also bought some items right out of the store and got some really good stuff that were inexpensive. One of the Ottomans that I bought was $860, but since it was discontinued on the floor, it was $99. I also got two lamps for $99. I had looked at other places and hadn't found any that I liked as well as these and the others were twice as much, so I got really good value for the money I spent.

    I moved in with my girlfriend and she didn’t want my old La-Z-Boy recliner since it was falling apart, so I made the decision to buy a new one. The saleslady that helped us was absolutely great. The only thing they had to move out was the old chair, and they carried that out to the curb for me. Quality staff support at two different locations, quality delivery and setup. Quality materials that I would recommend to anyone and we are repeat customers. We would recommend a hand foot option with the lumbar and headrest only as electronic. We don't like the "time" it takes to get up to answer the door, phone, etc. We also don't like that the footrest does not come up very far. We have to use a pillow under our legs.

    Bought a new chair, had to "custom" order it because no leather in stock. When "custom" ordered they take little or no responsibility for what you get. Store says, "Sorry have to deal with parent company." I put in a warranty claim, they came agreed the chair wasn't right. Now three months later they have sent two packages to my house and I've never heard from anyone again. No idea what's in the packages and I'll be damned if I'm going to fix it myself! Have voiced several complaints and they do NOTHING! Have bought several chairs from La-Z-Boy but will NEVER deal with them again. Absolutely pathetic warranty service. I've never purchased anything anywhere that wasn't returnable and won't ever do it again. I want my money back!!

    On 11-7-14 I purchased a 3 piece living room set from La-Z-Boy, thinking I was buying the best furniture you could buy. I had a wonderful experience with La-Z-Boy service department years ago and I never forgot it. This time totally different. This furniture is beautiful and it was on sale so I ask the salesperson 3 different times if it was real leather and he said yes each time so l purchased it for $4,000.00.

    After 15 months the color started coming off in different places and by 18 months it's getting worse, I called the store and they told me to call service department in Pensacola, Fla. This was the worst service I've ever had. No one ever called, only email. I wanted to talk to someone, I sent pictures and did not hear back for 2 weeks. I called again and finally by email she told me it was not in warranty but she could look up pricing for repairs.

    I am very disappointed in La-Z-Boy for selling a fabric like this on their furniture and telling customer it is real leather. I could have bought 2 sets of furniture from a Room to Go for the same price and it would lasted longer than this. I can't believe you don't care enough about your reputation to even want to see what is happening to the fabric on your furniture. No one has called or ask to see it. I think that is a shame for La-Z-Boy.

    I bought from La-Z-Boy a power recliner and sit in it in the evenings from 6:30 until about 9:30 every day and I enjoy it. My wife had a reverse shoulder repair and she could not sleep in a bed for a while, so we also bought a power recliner for her, and she's been sleeping in it in the last couple of weeks. She could rest in it and it's very helpful for her especially with her bad shoulder.

    When we were buying the chairs, I dealt with the manager the first time and he was the one who sold me the chair I'm now using. As for my wife’s chair, my wife dealt with a saleslady who was very helpful. They had a sale going on and the saleslady helped us do our selection in that sale process. The chairs were delivered and the delivery team that came was very good and proficient as well. They brought the chair in, set it up and hooked it up. They made sure all of my questions were answered in both times they came, and they were right on time. The furniture is very good and if the mechanism of the chair is going to hold up, I’ll have no problems. It's a little expensive though, almost $5000 for two chairs, but it's okay. I'm very pleased and it's a very good product.

    I ordered over $15,000 of furniture on August 24th, 2016. I also put a big chunk of money down and was told it would be 5-7 weeks for the furniture to arrive. I had to call to find out status of my furniture and told it was in so we scheduled delivery, set up, and "reveal" for October 27th. Most of the furniture was placed but a couple of pieces were damaged and one was back ordered for a while. They didn't hang any wall pieces because they needed the furniture to center them. I have not heard from anyone at La-Z-Boy since. My calls and emails have gone unanswered. I am very happy with the furniture I have received, but this store doesn't do you any favors by being so inattentive and unresponsive.

    Purchased a La-Z-Boy "leather" recliner 3 years ago at local furniture store (Eller and Owens). "Leather" on arms and back are peeling/coming off in spots. Have never had a piece of "leather" furniture do this before. This recliner has never been abused or cleaned with anything more than a soft untreated cotton cloth. I am very disappointed in the quality and lack of longevity of this recliner!!! Does La-Z-Boy stand behind its product and this type of defect???

    I ordered two midtown chairs on 9/17/16. Bill called me on 10/29 that the chairs were in. We picked them up 11/4. They are gorgeous! I received professional service and support from Sammy ** and would certainly recommend Sammy and Lazy Boy. We purchased these chairs in Florence for our lake house in Owenton, Ky. We are pleased with this purchase. We own several Lazy Boy pieces of furniture and will no doubt purchase again in the future.

    Though the delivery guys were nice, they refused to take away my old couch due to "stains". On two separate purchases, we were never informed of this policy. Reached out to the local store twice. First time, they never returned my call. 3 days later I talked to someone else on a Thursday. Nothing yet (Sunday). On the second call, she informed me that they do have the discretion of not picking up the couch, but should have offered to take it to the street. Here I sit with a new couch, a new chair and an old sectional. Not the best way to treat a new customer that spent $2K on two pieces of furniture. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

    My leather love seat is only 3 years old and it is peeling. I'm literally sweeping up my loveseat daily. I originally purchased my living room set from La-Z-Boy. I was guaranteed that their leather does not peel. Their customer service has been horrible. No return phone calls, emails and they offered me $265 credit. Which is a slap in the face. I purchased La-Z-Boy because I thought that their products the best quality. Apparently this is not the case. Also, their horrible customer service department is just has terrible as their products.

    I've had La-Z-Boy in my home for about 20 years and decided we needed to change our furniture a little bit. Their sales rep, Roanne, was wonderful. She did a lot of things and explained a lot of things to us which was really great. The delivery was also wonderful. The fellows were very polite and did a good job. They came on time, did what they needed to do, and answered our questions. We had things pretty well cleared out but they were mindful of what was in the house. It was a very good experience. The quality of the furniture is great and the cost was good especially that we got it on sale.

    Need someone to call me. Cell is **. Spent over $2200.00 on a lift chair for my husband that has back cancer. Told the salesgirl (who was new on the job, but still you hired her to assist) the reason we needed the chair. We bought one on her recommendation that it would work and it DOES NOT FIT HIM. It is too large and she should be knowledgeable to tell us it is not the right chair. This chair is now in the basement as we had to go to a medical store to buy one that would fit him and not harm him more. Call me please.
