    I've had 20 years of the old furniture and we decided to purchase La-Z-Boy items too since our son has some La-Z-Boy recliners that we thought were comfortable. The sales reps were personable, friendly and helpful. Their delivery team brought the items in, put it all together, put it where we wanted it, cleaned up and left. The cost seems all right. We've been using it for a month now and the quality seems good. We had an excellent experience and they were very helpful.

    I have always known the reputation of La-Z-Boy. So I bought a power sofa from them. The other options I had seen from other stores didn’t appeal to me. Besides, the lady I spoke with from La-Z-Boy was nice and helpful. And everything was delivered. The guys who brought the furniture did a great job. I had a recliner I had for a few years and they helped me move it to another room.

    The sofa arrived in a separate shipment. There was a backorder on one of the leathers. And when the second one arrived – the one on backorder – it had a little flaw. But thus far, they have managed to set up a time for someone to come out and take care of it. Everything has been going well so far and I’m very pleased with the sofas. Overall, any consumer is going to tell you that I could accept a lower priced furniture, but I felt pretty good about La-Z-Boy. I got a good sale price and product for my dollar.

    I have a lift chair that I purchased a few years ago for my father. He passed away and it sat for a couple years at my mom's. Three years ago my father-in-law started using it. We live in a small town. It stopped working. It won't go up or down. It's inconvenient but we have never had any issues with it so that really isn't the problem. I called a local store. They do not want to come and service it so I thought I would call to see if the furniture store I purchased it from had did a product registration.

    First off I spoke with Kelly in customer care. She stated that the product registration doesn't do anyone any good except for marketing. And that they did not have a service person in our area. I would have to call a local store. I explained my situation to her and she said it didn't matter if the store didn't want to come out. They couldn't do anything about it. I thought maybe La-Z-Boy would hold them to the same high standards that they advertise but I guess not. Kelly acted like I was wasting her time asking questions. Not happy with the service.

    I purchased 2 Collins Sofas in February of 2017 - both of which arrived with defects. The wood on the arms of both sofas is beginning to poke through the fabric and the springs and frame of one of the sofas is squeaking/creaking when sitting and moving on the couch. Again, these couches are barely 6 MONTHS OLD! I called La-Z-Boy to report these problems and they responded by scheduling a service technician to come and inspect the sofas. The technician was great. He was thorough and said that he was very surprised that the arms looked the way they did and that in all of his years working as a subcontracted furniture repair man with many different large chains, he had never seen the arms of sofas look like these after 6 months. He said that the defect was not common and that it would not be an easy repair. He was also surprised that the springs were in need of tightening after 6 months.

    He went on to say that because the arm repairs weren't simple, they would take several days since all 4 arms needed to be done. So three days out of work to repair my 6 month old couches??? Is that even real life? Anyway, the technician wrapped up his visit by telling me that La-Z-Boy would call me after they reviewed his report with a recommended repair/replacement plan. I waited. No call. Life got busy and I forgot that they hadn't followed up with me until I was reminded by a random package on my porch shipped by La-Z-Boy. Just a box. No letter. No call. No explanation... Just a long thin box. So I called La-Z-Boy for an explanation. Of course I was on hold. I was disconnected - TWICE - only to hear "oh that shipment contains the materials to repair your sofas." Wait. What?

    I was irritated. So I asked why I hadn't been given a call to discuss their plans, etc. etc... Their response "we aren't required to follow up with the customer regarding a repair/replacement plan." No apology for selling me a crappy product. No acknowledgement that not calling and just sending me the materials to repair the couch is lousy customer service... Just a... "Well we don't need to call you." I was infuriated. Lousy product and even worse service. I asked that the couches be replaced instead of repaired since they are only 6 months old and clearly are defective. They responded with a, "NO we do not replace... We repair. That is our warranty policy." Umm. Okay. It's not like I damaged the couches myself and am calling in on my 1 year warranty. I was sold defected couches... Those are two very different things. I also told them that I am not taking 3 days out of work to accommodate the time needed to repair both sofas.

    Their response... "repairs can be scheduled on Saturdays." Yes folks. That is real life. That was this customer service representative's response to my frustration. Again, not an I'm sorry. How can I make this better? Just a suggestion to spend three Saturdays watching a technician take apart my "high quality" couches and repair them. So I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor... no help. I received the same response almost verbatim as I did from the first representative with the exception of the comment that La-Z-Boy didn't have to call me to discuss my claim and that doing so would be considered going "above and beyond" their normal protocol. So I asked to speak to the supervisor's supervisor because, really? Her response. "No." She said that she wouldn't transfer me because her response wouldn't be any different than hers.

    So I asked to talk to her supervisor anyway. She still refused and said that she would have someone from their "escalations department" call me instead. She promised a call within 48 business hours, which would have been Monday, 9/25. It is now Wednesday morning, 9/27, and still no call. The only thing I got from La-Z-Boy since that last call was yet another very large and soft package left on my porch which I assume is the padding necessary to re-pad/upholster all 4 arms of 6 month old sofas. I have no words. What adds insult to injury is the fact that the couches I replaced with these sofas were 12 years old and they had only started squeaking in the past year. These couches were purchased at Bernie & Phyl's for a fraction of what I paid for the Collins sofas because Bernie & Phyl's is considered "inferior" to La-Z-Boy. Additionally, Bernie and Phyl's customer service trumps that of La-Z-Boy. Hands down.

    I very much regret not having gone back to Bernie & Phyl's. The Collins sofas are nice looking but that is it. I'm otherwise unimpressed and do not believe that they are worth a quarter of what I paid for them. I'm convinced that I could have bought better couches at a discount furniture store like Bob's. Yes. Bob's. Seriously. Anyway, in closing, I received lemons. Terrible product. Even worse customer service. BUYER BEWARE! PROSPECTIVE BUYERS: Save yourself the aggravation and your wallet the extra $$ and run to Bernie & Phyl's. Heck. Jog to Bob's Furniture even. You'll be better off. Meanwhile, I'll be here waiting for someone in the "escalations" department to call me back when they feel like it because, you know, following up with customers is not a requirement. Their customer experience program considers that to be "going above and beyond" normal operations. Comical. Good luck with that La-Z-Boy.

    Our other furniture was already eight years old and it was starting to show some signs of age so we knew it was time to buy new ones. La-Z-Boy had opened up a new store not far from our house and we went there to try to see what they had. Going back to when I was a kid, we had La-Z-Boy recliners at our house. But I didn't realize that they actually had all other furniture like couches and loveseats. We went in and we liked what we saw.

    We scheduled for delivery and they had called us. We had to wait for it because of the pattern we picked and it had to be made to our specifications. We picked a swatch and they had told us going in that everything is custom made with the fabric we choose. It would take between four to six weeks from the time we ordered it to delivery and it fell right within everything that we were told. They ended up contacting us and the young lady from the store kept us up-to-date on the progress. We met her the day we went over a whole bunch of different couches and chairs and patterns. Then somebody else called us to let us know that it would be delivered on a certain date.

    We ended up coming back to figure out whether or not a couch would fit on the one wall and they had a young lady that worked in the store who was an interior designer. We scheduled an appointment with her. She came out to our home and looked at the size of our room. Then she ended up putting together a couple of different renderings, pictures of what she was thinking. I was out of town and my wife ended up going back the weekend after the designer came out to our home and ended up going over the floor plans, deciding on the final couch, loveseat and chair we were going to get and their patterns.

    There were two different delivery teams. We got a chair and a couple of ottomans and then some tables the first delivery. The second time was our couch, loveseat and another chair. We had two separate teams of guys that came and both times they were awesome. They called when they were on their way to let me know they'd be there in 10 minutes. Both of the guys took their shoes off as soon as they walked in the door. I told them they didn't have to and they said, "Oh, don't worry. We prefer to not get your carpet dirty." They were also courteous and respectful of the stuff in the house.

    Their furniture was comfortable and that was the one big thing. We have teenage daughters and we're close-knit with family and friends, so our house is what we call the flophouse where everybody comes over on the weekends and watches football and sporting events and stuff that we like. I don't want to sit on a couch that's really stiff. We all want to be comfortable. That was one of the things we had to have. Something that was comfortable for the kids and as well as us. We are happy with it, so far.

    We went in with a budget of what we would spend and we were definitely under it. The furniture isn't cheap as far as quality and price-wise it was very good. It's been a great experience overall from start to finish and I would recommend it to friends or family members. We have a finished basement that has furniture and it's not time for new furniture yet. But if and when we decide to get new furniture we'll definitely go back up to the store that we got this furniture from. They definitely exceeded my expectation.

    Purchased 2 Eclipse La-Z-Boy rocker recliners with motors on Feb 15, 2014. One of the chairs the material is completely deteriorated and the other starting. They gave us a credit for $469.00 to purchase another item, which is almost impossible. We also had to use it within 30 days and give up warranty on motors for both chairs. Just wanted to reupholster. Thinking La-Z-Boy furniture should last more than 3 years. I know that we were not covered anymore but I would expect much better from La-Z-Boy.

    Our other couch was getting old so we figured to upgrade and purchased a Sectional and an Ottoman from La-Z-Boy. Their sales reps were nice, professional and courteous and they helped us design our full family room so we got the rug, sofa, and tables and all the pieces were what we expected from La-Z-Boy. The only complaint I had was that the connector pieces with Sectional were horrible because they were plastic pieces that easily came apart, which we figured because we read it on the reviews. So, I decided to purchase something that was drilled into the pieces to keep them together to make them more stable. Also, the delivery was good but it was rushed. I wanted the carpet or the rug to be moved so it lined up with the couch, but they wanted to leave right away so my husband and I had to do it. On the other hand, they were professional and courteous as well and they were on time, and it was efficient overall.

    We remodeled our whole house so we just wanted everything new. The designer helped us and she had a computer program and made the centerpiece of our room, the sectional. She helped us decide where we wanted to go with how the remodel was in the living room. She was phenomenal. The added value of seeing how it would look with what we're doing really helped us make a decision of what we wanted to buy. The delivery team put it in and they were in and out. They were very courteous and did a great job. The experience was quick and very helpful, and the people we dealt with were trustworthy.     So after searching for the best furniture, sat on the La-Z-Boy Addison sectional and fell in love. I didn’t care the cost. We wanted that exact style without the sectional piece. We ended up ordering this furniture due to the memory foam in the couch we sat on. After waiting 5 weeks and 9,500 later, what we had delivered was not what we thought. After calling numerous times to discuss the issue and the fact that when the furniture was delivered they tore up our door frame and cracked the front door. The cocktail table we had delivered was also scratched and dented on the side.

    The furniture didn’t feel anything like it did in the store. When I called to ensure that we were delivered the memory foam I was informed that they no longer make the “memory foam” and it is now air foam. It is the same thing they told me but just better quality. I don’t care what it is, it is not what we ordered and didn’t feel anything like the Addison at the store. We were told to wait 72 hours and it would soften up, but 3 weeks later it still sucks. I have called numerous times to schedule an appointment only to be told the device techs are arriving early and I’m still at work. When asked if they could wait, they informed me they could wait 20 minutes! What is going on? I had high expectations and am truly disappointed. I won’t be referring La-Z-Boy to anyone!

    I recently called customer service for a repair part for my La-Z-Boy. The metal bracket broke that is attached to the back and holds it in place with the base. I checked your website and according to the warranty it is covered for life. I called in and got the parts sent, but was then told there is a new $12 fee now, which was not mentioned on the website. I am very unhappy that I had to pay a large fee for a small part to be shipped to me when I was never notified in a change in the warranty and the fee did not apply when I had bought my chair (2003). My chair should have been grandfathered in or I should have been able to pick up the part at my local store for no shipping charge. I am very unhappy with my experience and would like the fee refunded.

    My parents always had La-Z-Boy back in Ohio and I have some of mom's previous chairs for 20 years but their material was wearing after all that time. The Barcalounger I got from a furniture store did well, too, but it also wore out. So, I decided it's time for two new chairs. I got two recliners from La-Z-Boy and they're good quality chairs. I would have liked to have had more money and I could've gotten more pieces.

    The sales rep that I talked to at their store in Canton was one of their interior designers and she was great about talking about the materials so I enjoyed working with her. The delivery guys were on time and they showed me how to take the two pieces and put them together to get the chair. It's so different than 20 years ago. Hopefully, these will be the last chairs I would ever buy. I want quality chairs and I’m 71 so I expect to get the longevity out of them that I got out of my previous furniture. But the one I call the Queen Anne because of its higher back with the little sides that come out, is laying flat versus its usual position. This happened shortly after delivery but it had nothing to do with the delivery itself. So, at some point, I’ll get a hold of the store about that and I expect that it will be fine.

    Not in my home 24 hours and it (La-Z-Boy Sheldon wall hugging recliner) broke! Purchased through Wayfair. A piece of plastic went flying from the underside of the chair when it was put into a reclining position. Since when did La-Z-Boy start using plastic in the mechanisms? I'm furious! The twelve-year-old La-Z-Boy I put out to the curb had nothing like this! Totally different quality, weight, and craftsmanship from a decade ago. When you pay for the quality you expect it! I have no idea what happens next. Wayfair wants to charge me to take it back!

    The two chairs I had were worn out, so it was time to replace them. I purchased recliners from La-Z-Boy and their sales rep was knowledgeable and excellent. Originally, the designer picked in the store and once we showed a picture of them in our room, she said, "Oh, that was ugly," and it was a bad choice. However, I was very thrilled with their service as far as sending the rep over to the house to look at what we had. She took pictures and helped us with the design and she was excellent as well. I even referred our daughter to La-Z-Boy.

    This is not the first time I purchased a La-Z-Boy furniture. They appeal to me because they last a long time and it’s something that can take a lot of abuse. I recently purchased a recliner from them. We went to their store on a nice Sunday afternoon. The salesman knew his business. He was willing to talk and explain why he thought one furniture would work and the other won’t. I didn’t feel rushed, or he looked over his shoulders to see who else was there.

    I had them put the custom fabric I had on my chair. And that furniture is somewhere between 7 to 10 years old. The material was holding up and we’re really happy. So I was willing to pay the extra to get the recliner. We enjoyed the experience and everyone there was very pleasant. So now, my daughter and her husband are going to pick it up. The chair was a little more expensive than I anticipated. I live in Greenville and it’s going to cost $100 extra. So it’s a lot cheaper to do it yourself.

    The San Marcos, CA store did not explain the return and exchange policy. They tell you have 3 days to return your item. They did not explain that there is a 30% restocking fee. If the chair is delivered and you don't like it, even if you never used it, whether it is a custom or a stock item, you cannot have a full refund. You must exchange or pay 30%. If your chair is $1200, you will be charged $360 to return the chair. The sales staff was not kind, almost felt bothered by my request for refund or exchange.

    Decided to exchange due to high restocking fee (not a custom item). Staff got the order wrong, tried to blame me, and said I had to keep the chairs, come into the store to discuss what I want, then start the exchange process over. Called corporate to ask questions and complain, they said it’s at the stores discretion on how they handle returns/exchanges. Poor customer service all around. La-Z-Boy has poor customer service and unfriendly staff. Will never do business with La-Z-Boy again. Advice: Read the fine print wherever you buy. The staff at the stores are paid by commission.

    Bought a La-Z-Boy Lancer burgundy "leather" recliner in September of 2012 from Mathis Brothers Furniture in Tulsa, Ok. Less than 5 years later it has split all over the headrest. Very lightly used, I'm out of town about 6 months out of the year. Thought it would last many years like other much cheaper furniture I've owned. Not so. Sad. So disappointed. Will never buy La-Z-Boy or from Mathis Brothers again. Too bad. I've spent a lot of money with both, but no more. Lost Customer!

    I sold my house and moved into an apartment. I have gotten rid of most of the furniture that I had as part of selling the house. I then waited until I settled into where I wanted to live. When my house sold, I then decided to purchase some furniture. The sales rep must’ve spent four hours with me and she was excellent. I had taken the dimensions of the room, as well as taken pictures. She did the graphic design and we placed everything out. She was very helpful as far as matching up pillows, especially because I am not a decorating person. She was perfect.

    Saturday, they brought everything but the sofa, however, I was forewarned that the sofa was going to take a while because it’s a leather sofa. I couldn't ask for two better people to deliver my furniture. They were there for two and a half hours because I bought a very large entertainment center, and every piece of that was heavy. They put it together and hooked up the lights to it. They were amazing and unbelievable.

    I also got a table and four chairs, plus two bar chairs. Then there’s a sofa, a coffee table, and a little side table. I did go furniture shopping but when you go to La-Z-Boy, you can just tell the difference in quality. It looks like what you're paying for, plus it’s very, very fairly priced. And when I went, it was during their anniversary sale so it was 30% off certain items and I got a really good deal.

    I also have a condo in the Virginia Beach area, and about four years ago, I had purchased a sofa, a loveseat, and a chair from La-Z-Boy. The condo is rented out during the summer and then usually, several months in the winter and that furniture is still in perfect condition. They are very personable and they provide excellent satisfaction for the customer

    I bought my recliner from the Annapolis store, maybe 5 years ago. The reclining mechanism is broke. No one at the store returns calls, you are put on hold for at least 20 minutes (I will not hold longer than that). Emailing to get repair information resulted in NO one responding. I will never buy from La-Z-Boy as there is no way to ever get your product repaired when you offer a lifetime warranty on such mechanism. Very disappointed in your customer service after a sale.

    My husband bought a La-Z-Boy for me before. It had the handle where you lift it up on the right side, but my right hand is crippled and I couldn't use it, so we sold it. Then he said to get myself one and we ended up getting a whole set. The sales reps have been pretty good, but I was a little bit disappointed because, as much money as I spent there, they still charged me for the delivery. When I said something to the guy he said it's usually added in on the purchase and that if I bought it from someplace else they add that in right away. I didn’t say anything and didn't argue with the man, but I know better than that. I've bought things from a place called Mueller Furniture in Belleville, Illinois and they've never charged delivery fees. And I know that because I've seen the prices on the furniture but this was added in and that's what I don't like, another $100 when I've spent almost $6000.

    I was supposed to get it at the end of August, but I didn’t get my chair until this past Saturday. The couch is going to take all the way until October because I have a regular leather and it’s a bit long to be made. One evening, I was sitting on it when all of a sudden, I heard something pop and then there’s a piece of metal sticking out the back. And the back doesn’t sit up straight now. I called them yesterday and they’re going to have somebody come out.

    I got two La-Z-Boy recliners. My sister gave me one years ago and then the other I purchased, a year ago. I recently purchased a sofa and it was supposed to be delivered on the 1st of October but it hadn’t gotten here yet. The quality of the furniture was fine. All was great, but then yesterday it comes out in our local paper that they had our same sofa that we purchased recently, the Natalie for $600. We paid more than that and I got a discount on it but that doesn’t seem right. I'm definitely going to call them for price-match, but if they don’t, I won't go back.

    Purchased a chair with leather composite material (jax power recliner with synthetic fabric protection 5 yr). The sales person assured us it was superior in wear to real leather. Also purchased a fabric warranty since it was a $1500 item. This was 18 months ago. My wife and I spend summers in Wisconsin so for those 18 months we were in WI for 6 months so the chair was not even used for those 6 months. We have no pets and no small children at age 75. The front of the arms have started separating or the composite is flacking.

    When called the store where I purchased it they told me I had deal with the fabric warranty. When I contacted them they told me they only covered stains and rips. Called the store again. They transferred to warehouse where a very polite but unhelpful individual told me I could order new parts at my expense since there was only a one yr warranty from La-Z-Boy --- I have a 12 yr old flex steel chair that is in better shape than this one. I would never consider La-Z-Boy for any furniture purchase and will tell anyone who asks that they should not either. Very dissatisfied. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

    I purchased a Devon sectional which we received in 2014 and I need to replace three pieces of foam on the right hand recliner (no fault of La-Z-Boy). The service department will sell me 2 of the 3 pieces. They have refused to sell me the upper foam of the seat portion because they don't allow their service technicians to replace it. Reason for this is that it would alter the product.

    Since I plan to hire a local upholster to replace the foam, I can't accept that they won't sell it to me because their service techs can't do alterations. In addition, since this sofa is still manufactured, I can't accept that they don't stock this foam. Moreover, to buy this sectional today would cost over $6000 and I have a hard time accepting that La-Z-Boy won't provide satisfactory customer service on such a costly investment.

    More importantly, dealing with their phone system is a nightmare. They won't address concerns when you call. Instead, they have a system where they call you back in 1-2 days. There have been times where I waited for over a week for a call! This concern of purchasing the foam piece was escalated to sales and then to the Ottawa CFO, with no correction.

    We purchased from a local furniture store (who is a very exceptional owner) a La-Z-Boy iClean material love seat. We loved the style and thought this new material would be a great feature but as soon as we started using this I had an allergic reaction to whatever was in the material. After much testing it was found that whatever chemicals used in it for new iClean solution caused me to break out in hives and rash. I just want consumers to know in some it can cause skin issues and product can cause reactions in some people. My dealer was very understanding and took it back and I'm going to purchase it with a different material. I'm hoping La-Z-Boy will look into what is used in material and research it more so this doesn't happen in children or adults or specify it could cause skin outbreaks in some.

    I ordered 4 recliners with memory foam extra! Three of the recliners were the same, and one was a larger chair for my husband. The larger chair has a hard board in the front that hits right under the leg about knee level. Nobody uses it due to discomfort. It also has a large seam rip under the left arm pad. The other three lost their comfort about three months after purchase. The memory foam was only in certain places, while other areas had very little padding. They too have rips in seam areas, and the recliner mechanism continues to recline until your head is lower than your feet. I will never purchase your products again.

They came to my house, did some measuring, and told me what I originally wanted wasn't going to fit. So we adjusted and I picked out the material for the chair and the ottoman.     I have a large couch that's a La-Z-Boy and before that, I've had two La-Z-Boy chairs. They're great and I'm really pleased with them. I went with La-Z-Boy again when the two chairs that I had which happened to be about 15 years old was wearing out. I gave them to two people who were very pleased with it and I bought two new ones to match my new couch which was also a La-Z-Boy. I bought from experience that all I've had was La-Z-Boy for years. I spoke with one representative at the store. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He gave us plenty of time to try all the La-Z-Boys that were in the store to be sure I got the two.

    I am 85 years old and I live by myself. I think that these are the last two La-Z-Boys I’m going to buy. That's why I got one with the lift which I don't need at this point but I will be needing the lift part. I'm sitting in the living room with one of the La-Z-Boys with the other couch, the recliner and the lift all in the same room. I'm very comfortable here when I get something.

    The delivery team was very helpful. They moved out my old ones to the garage and moved the new ones in. They asked questions, "Is there anything else we can do for you?", "Can I move this a little further so you'll feel more comfortable?" and "Do you want to be facing the TV?". They were very helpful and were great delivery guys. I was really pleased with that politeness and their helpfulness. The cost of La-Z-Boy is well worth it. I got a couple of other friends asking how I got it and talked them into getting a La-Z-Boy. My chairs lasted very well through the years and I’m looking forward to using the two ones I just bought.

    Updated on 10/31/2022: Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I purchased my first sectional from you, had it for 4 years and the wear and tear was horrible. The Zucora warranty you sold me was useless, they wouldn't repair it, said it was the material. So to compensate, you offered me a discount on my next set. So I purchased a new set, 4.5 years ago, and now there is a huge rip on the back of one of the seats. Zucora once again refuses to pay, blames the material yet again. I would like my sofa fixed. Is La-z-boy willing to fix this?

    Original Review: I ordered furniture from LA-Z-BOY 5 years ago. The salesman told me about this amazing new fabric they have called "renew". Built to last. After 5 years it is ready for the scrap yard. There are holes and rips in the fabric. Because they were not caused by accident, but rather manufacturer defect, my $200 warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. If LA-Z-BOY doesn't stand behind their product, why would I buy their furniture again?

    My husband wanted a recliner so we went to La-Z-Boy to see what they had. The people that worked there were very nice. The sales rep had good recommendations and we ended up picking the chair that he pointed us to. He was very knowledgeable and he did well. I was happy with the selection and we got to pick our fabric for no extra cost. I haven't got the chair but I anticipate that we'll be happy with it. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the delivery fee. They give us a price and then they said we have to either drive to Columbus, Ohio, which is several hours from where we were, to pick up the chair. Or we have to pay $80 to have it delivered. If I'm cornered into delivery, I would rather know that amount upfront or have it included in the price. It was an expensive add-on. But it wasn't enough to deter us.

    I had ordered some couch, a loveseat, the end tables, the cocktail table, etc. Also, I got some pillows made with fabric. I wanted to re-upholster four kitchen chair cushions so I went in to the La-Z-Boy store and ordered fabric, so that they would kind of match with the other pillows in the family room. I brought the cushion then I asked Chaz, "Would you be able to tell me how much I need to order?" He knew very well that there were only four chairs. I was gonna get two chairs of one color and two chairs of another color. Chaz ended up ordering four yards for the entire project, and I ended up only having to use a yard and a half. He ordered three yards too much for me. He said, "Well, there's nothing we can do because we can't send back used fabric." But that cost me $160 something for the material that I did not use.

    I tried to involve Jack who is the manager of their store. He just continued to push it off on Chaz, the designer. The manager should be the one taking care of this because Chaz isn't gonna do anything to help me. He already said, "Oh, we can't return used fabric." He then blamed it to the situation that he was busy that day when I came in, that he was working with other customers and that he thought that I was getting more fabric for my window treatment. And that's the farthest from the truth. The only thing that he was gonna do is check around to see if any of his other customers who may have purchased that same material might want to buy that material which I don't believe either. I've been working on remodeling my whole house. I was planning on going in there and using La-Z-Boy for my bedroom, which is my next project. But I don't think I'm going to now. Plus, every time I went into that store, I didn't feel comfortable asking Chaz questions.

    Our sales experience was great! However, the furniture does not live up to the hype. After sitting on it for an hour both my wife and I find it to be painful. The rocking recliner chair has tipped over backwards a few times and the back does not return to normal position without pulling it by hand. When operating the foot rest open and closed, springs pop and it makes quite a bit of noise. It looks great but what good is furniture that is painful to sit in for any length of time?

    Service was great when we called. We explained our issue and they offered to look at it but said there was nothing they could do to improve the comfort. They suggested for me to speak to a district manager and emailed him/her (while copying me) to contact me. He or she never called. I emailed the customer service rep who was very surprised and emailed the manager again. Surprise again... no call or attempt at contact. Bottom line is to shop at Rooms to Go or a similar place. You will save quite a bit of money and have superior furniture, not to mention a service department that actually cares about your business.

    The store manager and sales rep basically said because we ordered it in an available color but not the "main" color that we were out of luck. We would have been satisfied with a return fee and a choice to pick another set but the "you have no options" answer is as pathetic as a district manager choosing never to return the call. I am embarrassed to hear them say "Made in the U.S.A." with their quality and attitude. We deserve better.

    La-Z-Boy Furniture disappointing. Off-gassing irritates our eyes, throats, and lungs, makes us nauseous, triggers asthma. We don't want to sit on it. We don't enjoy looking at it. We don't want to touch it. It looks and feels like vinyl. Fabrics (sometimes with people on them) slide off of it if we try to cover it. It's our new La-Z-Boy $5500 couch and recliner set.

    We live in a small one-bedroom condo and there's no escaping the fumes. It smells like formaldehyde with petroleum in addition to whatever chemicals were used to treat this poor over-processed leather in its tanning and other conditioning. So far it's been over one week and the smell is still strong. (Even the cat won't go near it after throwing up right after she first sniffed it and touched it upon its arrival).

    Icing on the cake is the flammability warning label. If it would have been apparent and visible in the shop we would never have purchased the set. How do we know that the flammability does not have some airborne potential? We are very unhappy with the set. We know you are saying there are no returns on this purchase. What will it take to make you reconsider? We don't see that this set has lived up to your claim of quality and integrity.

    When we bought our house a year ago, we have been going to the two other furniture stores in our area looking for a couch five different times since last September. Then somebody had mentioned that La-Z-Boy had a store and I went in their Lansing, Michigan store and immediately found the three couches that I liked. However, dealing with their staff was a little bit disappointing. The first time that I went in there, I told the sales associate, who may have been newer, what I was looking for. I found the couch that I wanted and had her price out two different sectionals. I told her exactly what pieces I wanted but she quoted me the wrong prices so when I came back with my husband and he picked the one that he liked best among the two options, Julie, a different lady told me the price was $1,200 more than the first sales associate told me.

    She also didn't put it in her file so we had to go home and measure our room anyways then brought back the paper that the first sales lady had given me and they still couldn't match the price because she just wrote down the total price and they ended bringing down the price a little bit. I was so mad that I almost didn't buy the couch, but at the same time we've been looking for a couch for a year, and we needed a new one. Then it was delivered at home in the morning. They said they were going to be here between 8:00 and 11:00. The delivery man called me and told me that they will be here in 25 minutes but ended up being here in 15. I had to take my son to school, so my son ended up being a little bit late for school. But they were great, wonderful and very careful with everything. Everything went very well.

    We got the fabric protection. The pillows seemed almost crunchy and I knew that that has to be broken, but the couch does not seem to be like that, so I wanted to verify that the couch got the protection too. Also, they had little pieces that hook it together but hooked each piece of the sectional together. The very last piece that they are putting together couldn't get it in all the way, so the end piece and the couch piece that was next to it was like off the floor. When I sat down, it moved. But it’s fine now, they ended up having to take it off and loosen it, so that they fit in together all the way. Other than that, it's a beautiful couch. The pattern of the Ottoman and the pillows matched perfectly. I'm really happy with the quality. It is so much better than so many of the places that we looked before.

    Let me start off by saying that I have been a big fan of La-Z-Boy recliners and have owned several over the years. I have been delighted with them all. That is until now. In 2014 I purchased my first La-Z-Boy power recliner. In that time the power foot lift has failed twice. Unlike the traditional La-z-boy recliners, labor for the power recline chairs is not covered, only the parts. I paid $150 the first time the chair failed. Now I am being told I have to pay $175 to get my chair fixed. At this rate, assuming my chair will break down every 18 months or so, I will rapidly have more invested in it than the purchase price. The parts that keep failing and breaking down are made of plastic, not metal. I would think that if someone wanted to build a durable product they would use the best materials available, and in my book, that does not include plastic.

    Keep in mind that I am an older woman and do not abuse this chair. I don't have small children bouncing up and down on it every day. I take good care of all my furniture. This chair has been a huge disappointment. So much so that I may never buy another La-Z-Boy product again. If you are looking to purchase a recliner, do yourself a favor and stay away from the power recline models. You will probably be OK if you purchase the traditional La-Z-Boys.

    My experience with La-Z-Boy furniture was painless. When I went in and looked around, they helped, showed different options and explained things to me. They set up an appointment then put somebody to come out to my house and the delivery went just fine. In terms of cost in relation to quality, the furniture is a little bit more expensive but my old one lasted well so I gave it again a try. We’ve owned La-Z-Boy furniture for more than 20 years and it was getting old, I wanted to put it down in the basement where my parents sleep.

    I've had La-Z-Boy Furniture in the past. We were very happy but it was time to get something new. The furniture we had was old and beat up so we bought three pieces from La-Z-Boy. Their representatives were very nice. We went in and we spent an hour and a half in there. We went to the whole store and walked through everything once. There were too many choices. Then we went back to the things that caught our eye. We tried the rocker recliner especially. I went back and forth a half a dozen times and then finally settled on what we're going to do. They were very patient and very informative. They did everything they said they were going to do and delivered it when they said they would.

    Delivery was very good and the delivery team was professional. The furniture was in good condition. They set it up, A to Z. They knew what they were doing. I had those little soft pads that we can put at the bottom of the chairs. They assisted me in putting those on before they left. The furniture was everything we thought it would be. It's well made and we're very, very satisfied. We'll be purchasing furniture in the future and we would go back to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries again in a heartbeat. What’s important is I pay a little bit more but I get what I paid for. It was a very rewarding experience. We're happier now than when we bought it. I would recommend them to anybody.

    I noticed a scratch on our 14-month leather recliner. I called our La-Z-Boy store and a technician came out and took pictures and was suppose to get back to me. He never did. Long story short I called fabric production. He wanted pictures plus warranty and receipt when we bought it. Then emailed everything to him and now he says it not covered. We have no pets or small children. Just cheap leather recliner. My husband's 20-year recliner is built better and real leather and no scratches. La-Z-Boy is not quality furniture anymore!

    We bought new furniture since my old one was wearing out and getting tattered, and La-Z-Boy's sales rep was fantastic. She worked very hard. I'm in sales and I'm a realtor so I hate when people are "salespeople" to me. But she had good suggestions and got materials for me. She knew everything about the product and she's warm but not overly so. She's not like a schmoozy salesman, but she seems to like what she does and that carries out because she knows about her stuff and she makes people excited about it. She got us as many discounts as she could. La-Z-Boy better hang on to her. We're going to have the furniture delivered to our new house. It's supposed to come on the 22nd but we delayed it.     I purchased a La-Z-Boy chair at a large furniture store for my 89 year old mother in law. When she sat in it it was discovered that the recliner handle was too short for her. She needs the longer version (which is available on the model we purchased). When I called customer service THEY REFUSED TO SELL ME ONE because I didn't buy direct from La-Z-Boy. Really! I didn't want it for free. I wanted to pay for it but they insisted I go back to the store I purchased from. You had a chance to be a hero for an 89 year old woman and screwed it up badly.     I have a pending warranty issue with Comfort Care and have provided several phone representatives our feedback on the comfort of this Kirkwood couch. It is not designed well ergonomically as the top cushions push your head forward similar to an airplane seat. We provided pictures of the cushions and how the tops leave noticeable gaps between them and your company has decided to replace two sections of the couch to rectify this situation. However, I don't believe replacing the cushions will improve the comfort of this couch. I have asked several times to exchange the furniture for another style and have been told that comfort is 'subjective' and not covered by your warranty. There should be detailed records of my calls and concerns. Please have someone look into my situation.

    Let me start by saying that I am not the type to complain about a company unless they really do something wrong. I had called over a week ago to schedule service on a $1400 sofa my parents so kindly purchased for me as a housewarming gift. I was told 9/09 was the day and that I would receive a call the day before with a window of time. I did get the call Friday saying they would arrive between 2:10-4:10 p.m. It is now 12:39 p.m. on 9/10 and still no tech and to boot, no phone call with an explanation as to why. I will never recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone going forward. I even told my brother and sister-in-law, who are going furniture shopping tomorrow for a new living set, to stay away. They agreed and could not believe the company never showed without a call.

    We purchased a Sofa and love seat from La-Z-Boy to the tune of $5000+ only to have the color coming out in patches. The product was still under warranty when I reported it, but according to their concierge service, problem not covered by warranty although we were led to believe that this sort of defect was covered under warranty when we asked before purchasing it. Now they tell me that they can send someone out to fix it at a cost of between $250 - $400 but they don't guarantee the results. Wow, poor quality product, terrible warranty, and service that can't be guaranteed! Under these circumstances I would never recommend them to anyone.

    Updated on 09/23/2017: On an earlier review I stated the problem with leather color coming out. After being contacted by La-Z-Boy on the matter, they say I'm on my own despite having extended warranty which is still in effect. When warranty explained during purchase process, wasn't explained properly, so out of luck with La-Z-Boy and the extended warranty. As a result of bad customer service on an expensive purchase, I stand by my original rating of 1 star for this company and their service. I would not recommend this company or their products to other.

    LA-Z-BOY MINNESOTA POWER RECLINER 2 SEATER GRADE A TOBAC £1299, ScS store 21/10/14 Scotland. I purchased the La-Z-Boy brand (leather couch) thinking I was buying quality! I also purchased leather damage care, £100 because I have Two toddlers (delivered 2015). After 2 half years the leather is peeling. A company representative of Castelan informed me when visited in June 2017 that there are Two chemicals "protecting" the leather (sprayed on) and it is these chemicals that are peeling off my leather. I thought I was buying top quality La-Z-Boy? I've been told I don't have cover in my leather damage care by Castelan Limited Group UK. Now I have to look at this peeling chemical on my expensive leather couch.

    We have been purchasing La-Z-Boy for 30 years. I like La-Z-Boy and I like the quality. I always had good luck with it. We don’t abuse it and it always wore well. Every five or six years we buy new sets but the old sets are still in perfect shape. Our kids are grown so we pass them down to them and they get good use out of them. The first time I ever bought from them was in Groton. I usually buy more local but they had more in the store so I could actually see more. Everybody was courteous from the sales reps to the delivery team. The delivery team was good. They were happy. I don’t have to give them a tip but I did.

    But for some reason the leather chair had a cut at the lower bottom and you couldn’t really see it until you look good at it. It was just like the size of a pea. I don’t know it it’s got caught when they were loading it but it’s there and it’s a new chair and I just didn’t want to leave it there. I was told that it’s not much but I said it’s just going to open up and get big and then they’re going to say, "Why didn’t you do it in the beginning?”

    So they agreed to fix it. They’re going to order new leather and they’re going to change the arm on it and stuff on it that needs to be changed. It’s going to take two or three weeks for it to come in but that’s fine. I don’t have a problem with that. We always buy La-Z-Boy and I never had a bad piece of furniture from La-Z-Boy so this was the first time I ever had to complain. Everything is good. I got the memory foam in the couch and I like it very much. I would recommend them. We like nice stuff and La-Z-Boy is good stuff.

    I purchased a LA-Z-BOY rocker recliner in February 2016. This chair has minimal use and the fabric on the seat has small holes in it - looks like a flaw in the fabric. The insurance plan that was sold to me has said this is not covered. La-Z-Boy only has a 1 year warranty on the fabric?? So I spent all this money to buy a good product and they aren't standing behind it at all? I am very disappointed.

    My family purchased a Baja living room set a couple years ago after moving into our home (cocktail table, end tables and entertainment center). As time went on, we noticed that the caster wheels on the bottom of the cocktail table were starting to bend on one side. After a couple additional months one of the wheels completely broke off at the stem and the table was useless.

    I checked the La-Z-Boy.com website and noticed that there was a “limited lifetime warranty” emblem on the page with the table. I then went to their “warranty information” page and found “casters” in the “Miscellaneous” category displaying “lifetime parts coverage” (no labor). I then contacted the warranty department only to be informed that there is only one year warranty on furniture, and that I'd have to pay $45 per caster replacement. (1) The limited lifetime warranty emblem on the tables page was deceiving, which has since been removed after what I'm assuming were several customer complaints. (2) The warranty information page is misleading. (3) Charging $45 per caster wheel replacement is outrageous.

    I begrudgingly purchased the replacements, hoping they would work. After receiving the replacement wheels, I tried screwing them into the table, only to have one of the new caster stems break in half. The only recourse left is writing a negative review about the product on their website, right? Well I took pictures of the broken casters (also attached to this review) and posted a review on their web page. Only to find the review removed by the company within hours. Talk about adding insult to injury. I'll never, ever, deal with a company that sells such poor quality items and won't even let customers write negative reviews on their web page. Very dishonest. Now I'm stuck buying a replacement table; after I had already bought one that should have lasted for many years.

    We’ve been in our old house for 40 years and had the old La-Z-Boy furniture for about 15 years. We built a new house and we've had our new La-Z-Boy furniture for about two months. The sales people at the Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania store were great. The young designer was really helpful. She came out and looked at the new house and helped me figure out what size, what color, which shape, and then put together a presentation and that made all the difference. We looked at a lot of furniture from high end to low end, and that service and knowing that we already had pieces that held up well were both things that made us feel that La-Z-Boy was the right choice. We're very happy with it.

    During the delivery, the doors to the new house were a bit too small to accommodate the sofa bed and the delivery team really had to struggle to get it in. They had taken a door off and the rest of it. They got the sofa bed in to the best of their ability and that's awesome. I've also been pleased with the quality. I have five big children and they tested out the furniture last week. It's still sitting up in one piece. However, La-Z-Boy should change their name or call their furniture a different division. I'm reluctant to tell people that it's La-Z-Boy furniture because the perception of La-Z-Boy is not as good as it should be. The perception is it's a big Archie Bunker overstuffed easy chair and that's not who we are. Also, the pieces that we had from 15 years ago are a couch and a leather recliner, but the ones we have now are neither. But overall, I had a very positive experience with La-Z-Boy and we'd do it again.

    Rec'd our brand new delivery of La-Z-Boy furniture. One sofa with two power recliners and 2 chair recliners without power. Before the delivery men left they had me try one out and they tried out another. In two separate reclines on one sofa recliners, it became stuck in the reclined position. My husband had to offer me a hand to haul me out of it. Checked all the connections, nothing seemed disconnected. Called the store and they had no ideas and told me to call the warehouse, it was closed. I am supposed to wait now until tomorrow and have a technician come out. Am I seeing the writing on the wall? This is our first time with La-Z-Boy.

    We had a La-Z-Boy furniture for 25 years and since it's hard to find someone nowadays that really does quality reupholstering jobs, we decided to purchase a new one. The sales representative was good. My wife and I are both retired so we revealed that to her and we said we were saving up. She helped us through it. She drew up the paperwork and said that when we have our money, we can come back.

    When we were shopping at that time, she went in and looked up the model and the color that my wife wanted. She went a little bit extra. She advanced ordered two recliner chairs with that color. So then she said, "You won't get one that's been sitting on the floor. You're going to get two brand new ones.” She was very helpful. I also took a picture of the first chair I got from La-Z-Boy, took a picture of the serial number, and sent it to them. The guy came out within a couple of days, and he brought everything with him that he needed to repair the chair. He repaired it right here in the house.

    Earlier another unhappy reviewer had their review shaded out so that will probably happen to mine also. La-Z-Boy's swivel rocker pitches too far forward. Their designers don't know what they are doing. The chair is placed 5 - 6" too far forward on the swivel base which (common sense) tells you will pitch you forward. The center of gravity needs to be back towards the middle of the swivel. Repair service is very slow & doesn't know what they are doing either. 3 repair services so far... Can't fix anymore. 3 month's wasted. Neither La-Z-Boy's consumer department (whom I called) cares, nor the retail store, nor the repair department cares.

    La-Z-Boy refuses to let me get the chair set back in the middle of the base because it will "void the warranty". The repairman actually told me to give it more time, sit further back in the chair (I was as far as I could get), wait until the stuffing in the back lost some of its poof, etc., etc. Won't admit it's their design fault... Even though I was told that right after my visit they had to go see another customer with the same problem. You would think that what they charge for their chairs, the length of time they've been in business & their "name" that they could have gotten this right by now. I have another much cheaper rocker swivel that works beautifully. Sitting them side-by-side shows the obvious problem. I will never buy another La-Z-Boy, nor will I ever recommend one again.

    I have had many La-Z-Boy products recliners, sofas etc. My sofa seat cushions have gotten very soft. So sitting is quite uncomfortable. I checked with local grands store and they told me to talk to La-Z-Boy customer service. Came home, contacted customer service and was told to talk with my store where I purchased. I told her I just went there today. Too bad basically is what I was told. Well after 40 years of purchasing La-Z-Boy, looks like I'll be going to another company for furniture.

    Between September and December 2016, we purchased quite a bunch of furniture from La-Z-Boy. We got dining room furniture, kitchen furniture, two recliners, a sofa, couple of end tables and many accessories. We had purchased from them before and we’re happy with this company so we got our furniture from them when we moved from Austin to a different state. We purchased the items from Myrtle Beach in Carolina and, La-Z Boy is excellent, from the furniture to the cost to the sales rep and the delivery team. The decorator was also very helpful, works with what you wanted and needed.

    We just had a problem with the kitchen table. It had a veneer finish and after getting moist with like a little condensation from a bowl, the veneer was peeled off, separate from the table. It was irreparable and we had to send it back. I was disappointed because I loved the table but that wasn't very good. But overall, it’s an excellent experience. I would and have recommended La-Z-Boy to everyone, and I would go back there.

    I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner and sofa because I just had moved my mother in to live with me and she was complaining terribly about the couch that I had her sitting on not having enough support. So, I had been looking around for a couch that would fit her. She’s a very petite lady. A lot of what’s out on the market right now are these really deep couches, and that wasn’t what she needed at all.

    I have another La-Z-Boy chair in the house and I liked the way it sat. I took my mother in to the La-Z-Boy showroom to have her sit on couches and try them out. The La-Z-Boy reps were very helpful. I explained to them what I was looking for as far as support and the couch being not too deep. They helped me pick out about four different models to work with. We picked out a custom color to go along with the recliner and they were very helpful in picking out the material so that it matched really well. That’s awesome salesmanship. The cost is fairly good. I got the couch on one of their big July sales, so it was very reasonable. I really like the chairs. As long as the recliner holds up, the cost of it isn’t too outrageous. Also, the delivery crew was on-time and were courteous. They did all the moving, so I have no problems at all.

    We purchased a leather La-Z-Boy Astor recliner as a clearance and had some issues a few months into the warranty period, it was fixed. Several months later after the warranty expired, the back of the recliner started to feel hard and very uncomfortable and like something was poking me in the back. Due to the warranty being expired, we had to pay $136 to have the very nice comfort care man come out to see what he could do. He added some additional foam padding in the back of the chair and in the seat cushion. A few days later that cushioning compressed down and is no longer comfortable, with the same nagging thing poking me in the back. I think the way this particular model was made, the padding smushes down after a while and it seems like it's not ever going to gain back its showroom feel. Has anyone else had this problem?

    We recently purchased a recliner, coffee table and two end tables from La-Z-Boy. We love the brand and our living room is full of La-Z-Boy furniture. We have three recliners, two loveseats, a sofa back table, an end table, coffee table and a media unit from them. We also had two separate recliners but we wore them out. We took good care of them over the years but after a certain point, we can't get all the dirt out of the leather, especially when people put their heads on the back of the recliner. The two end tables and coffee table were beaten up too, so they needed to go. I also bought a single recliner for myself to go upstairs because I like to watch TV in bed and it's not comfortable. So, my husband said I could get any chair I want and I got a white leather recliner.

    Our new stuff just showed this morning and they were right on time. Adrian and Ruben called ahead and said when they were coming. They did an excellent job and they were very polite and thorough. They even moved two recliners out on the patio for me, so we can take them out to the curb and get rid of them. They also brought all the furniture in, uncovered it, made sure that everything was in good condition, and that all the chairs reclined. We had a narrow hallway, but they were very careful going in and they maneuvered everything easily.

    Also, my dad used to live with us. We built a wing for him out on the west side and he had two recliners and a couch that has a bed in it, which he all got from La-Z-Boy. Our salesperson is always Stephanie and we bought from her three times now. She is awesome. She knows where to find it if we're looking for something and she gets back to us. She spends all the time we need with her and she has also a deep respect for La-Z-Boy and appreciates the quality of their furniture. She's honest and doesn’t try to sell you down the river. We've dealt with a lot of sales people over our lives and we appreciate somebody that knows her stuff, no pressure, chats with us, lets us look, give us some private time to talk about it, and knows where to go in the catalog to look things up. Overall, the furniture is amazing and Stephanie, Adrian, and Ruben were nice guys. They were outstanding and they always did a wonderful job for us. We'll be back.

    I moved my mom here from Albuquerque and we didn't bring any of her furniture. So I gave her my furniture and decided to buy a new set from La-Z-Boy. Their reps were all very nice and the interior decorator, Christian, was amazing. I probably won't buy any other furniture anywhere ever again except for La-Z-Boy because of him. When they delivered the furniture, I wasn't here but he came to the house and stayed with my mom until the delivery team got everything set up. He stayed with my mom the whole time and made sure everything’s right. Then apparently, the mirror that I had ordered was broken or scratched, so he sent it back, went ahead and ordered another one. He also came out to meet my mom when they delivered the second one. He was absolutely phenomenal.

    The furniture is great and I love it. I'm thinking seriously about ordering one section smaller than what I originally had and another piece to go with it. It's called a wedge that goes in there to add another seat with another recliner on there. Overall, everybody was extremely helpful. Anytime that my mom had to call and ask questions about something when I was out of town, they informed her. Everything was really good.

    I have owned several La-Z-Boy recliners in my lifetime. My last leather recliner lasted me 10 years. On 3 Oct 2014, I decided to purchase a Niagara Power Recline XR to replace my old one. Shortly after a year of ownership, I contacted the store where purchased and they provided me with the La-Z-Boy repair facility. It was difficult to get in touch with those people. But when I finally did, a repairman came and did the repairs he could. The problem was in the arms where elbows always rest, the inner padding had relocated and now elbows were very close to the wood frame. But worse was the way the back of the chair had deteriorated to the point I have back aches after using the chair. There again, the cotton fiber stuffing in the backrest had relocated rendering no back support whatsoever. So while he was here, he opened up the back of the backrest and inserted more filling and it was sufficient for a while.

    At over $100 repair cost, I was satisfied for a while when I found the padding in the backrest was again relocating to the point it was uncomfortable. Since I learned from the repairman what to do, I had to once again open up the back of the backrest and add more cotton fiber. I has since reverted back to being uncomfortable and I now have to use a back pad in the chair to render it usable.

    I am currently in the market for another recliner but am reluctant to return to La-Z-Boy unless I can receive some assistance/compensation for the current deteriorated recliner. Like I said my previous recliner lasted over 10 years and this one is less than 2 years old and having problems. I would appreciate someone from La-Z-Boy contacting me concerning this situation. Also, my current chair was purchased from one dealership in Raleigh, NC but since then La-Z-Boy has built a brand new store closer to my residence. I would prefer dealing directly with the new La-Z-Boy store at 2530 Walnut St., Cary, NC 27518. Patiently awaiting a response. Thank you…

Also, the delivery crew was on time. I had them move two La-Z-Boys to another room and it went nicely. My decorator visited my home and said that the way I had my furniture arranged was the best. My furniture is very pretty and I'm happy with them. My husband also likes the chairs. He’s tall and they fit his back. I also made a good choice with the color. I have sunlight in the den where I put it and I hope the fabric does not fade. The only thing that they didn't remind me of was the arm covers. I thought they were included with the chairs but they were not. So I had to re-order them and they were quite expensive. I had to pay $300 to get the arm covers, and that was my only dissatisfaction. Overall, La-Z-Boy was very good and I was very pleased with everything.

    My husband and I wanted to replace our non-La-Z-Boy living room sofa with a La-Z-Boy one. We have a La-Z-Boy sofa in our family room and have been very happy with it. We went to the Ontario, CA store as a result of the sale ad attached. When we got there we asked to see the sofas in the ad (I really didn't pay too much attention to the ad at this point other than to identify the design names). Our salesperson, Deja, stated we could only get that sofa in "that" fabric. If we wanted another fabric, she explained it would go back up to the original price, plus the cost of the different fabric, less the 25% discount they had at the time.

    We weren't happy to hear that so we found another sofa that stated, "everyday low price" of 799.00. We selected a fabric and when she brought the invoice to us it was 1900+! I just laughed and asked how a 799 sofa goes to 1900! She stated it was because of my fabric choice, which apparently brought the sofa back up to the "not so everyday price" plus the fabric cost less 30%, because the manager stated she gave us this so we didn't have to come back during the labor day sale.

    Husband and I took home some fabric samples because she stated if we wanted that "everyday" price, we would have to have the fabric that was "married to the sofa". My husband noticed a flyer on the coffee table in front of the sofa mentioning additional discounts/another sale. Deja told us that "that sale is over". Why would they still have the flyer out?! We also wanted to purchase 2 side chairs and apparently almost every chair in the store was a discontinued model and only that existing chair could be purchased. We asked if they had anything similar we could order. She pointed us to the DUO which wasn't available for 2-3 months and cost 1600/ea! No thank you. The chairs we were looking at were around 600/ea.

    When we got home, I looked at the ad again and notice that the sale sofas had 50+ fabrics we could select from AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! I also looked online and found 2 chairs with fabric of my choice for 699! I was furious! I called La-Z-Boy corporate and to my additional disappointment, the representative was less than helpful. I explained that the store was not honoring a sale ad and she informed me it's the stores that send them out and to contact the store directly. I laughed and asked if I could speak to a manager because it would be futile to contact the store since they clearly chose not to honor the printed sale originally. She was EXTREMELY rude and put me on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up and made the decision that despite liking the quality of Lazyboy, I could not get past the dishonesty and lack of customer service. We will be going elsewhere for our purchase.

    We purchased two La-Z-Boy recliner chairs in Calgary June 2016. The foam has collapsed in both chairs, in the arms, seats, back and leg recliner. We had also purchased the extended warranty. Since we have moved out of the area of purchase we had to deliver the chairs back to Calgary for full warranty. Once repair was completed we had to return to Calgary to pick them up. Once at home, we discovered only one chair was completely repaired. The worse chair only had the arm repaired, the rest of the chair foam is still collapsed. When we called to let them know, we were told to compare the two chairs to make sure this was correct! Seriously?

    To make matters worse the material on this chair piles, and needless to say we have had ten-year-old chairs that look better than this one does. This is the second set of chairs we have purchased from La-Z-Boy in the last 3 years, the first set the material was discontinued after the first year of owning, so La-Z-Boy pro-rates the time left on your extended warranty and gives a discounted price towards new furniture. Very dissatisfied with the quality, workmanship and customer service. Would never purchase from them again.

    This is a really mixed review. I enjoyed the people that I dealt with. They offered me a 5 year pet protection and comprehensive warranty for 12% of my sale price. Considering my dog ate my last couch, this is a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, since getting the couch, one of my manual recliner handles broke. Their warranty center's solution is to send me the part and let me do it myself. I was instructed to call back to schedule a technician after I try to do the fix myself. I will admit that everyone that I have dealt with either in person or on the phone has been courteous. I'm just not fond of these policies. I do not feel like I have gotten my money's worth. I could have gone to Ikea and gotten the same couch for half the price and then not cared if something broke and I had to fix it, but if I spend close to $2,000 for a couch and warranty, I want everything to be covered without having to jump through any hoops.

    The Staff was 5 stars!! Service was excellent and store was beautiful. I was impressed with how well all the staff knew their merchandise. My only reason for 4 stars is because of the change in delivery terms over the years. From the customer's point of view, having to pay for the furniture in full BEFORE delivery puts us at a distinct disadvantage. You rely on the goodwill of the company to fix a problem you find with the furniture. Being only able to refuse delivery puts us in a difficult spot. We are trying to get the much anticipated furniture positioned correctly, make sure walls are not scratched, make sure pets are ok, etc. It is too easy to overlook a problem with the furniture. I know because I did it once. I was always able to pay the truck drivers the balance owed. It gave me more leverage if there was a serious issue.

    I went through Ashley's when I built my new house and bought a whole house of nine yards full of furniture. However, the stuff was not comfortable. It's nice-looking and wasn't cheap but my wife had back surgery and I'm retired from law enforcement sheriff department and federal law enforcement. I'm in my 60's, and I work hard physically outside. I do a lot of manual labors involved in farming so I needed something comfortable for my back. We decided to stop at a store in Chico because we had a house full of La-Z-Boy before. We went in to look, we tried and sat on a few pieces of furniture that was like the stuff that we had for 10 years, and it was comfortable and nice-looking. We specially ordered one by the materials so it would match the rest of the furniture. It was expensive but I get what I pay for.

    Everybody involved in the process exceeded my expectations. They underpromised or re-performed. The store was well-run and the lady that helped us was over-the-top exceptional. When I went into the store, I was courteously greeted by that lady who helped us, listened, and didn't push anything on us. She didn't ask us for our phone number and email and aggravate us. I'm going back and see her for all future sales and I wouldn't buy anything from anybody other than her unless for some reason she went to another job. I stick with somebody who provides exceptional service.

    The delivery team was also exceptional. They came in, and not only helped us move the old furniture, but they didn't scratch my doorjamb and they were careful on the walls. They were aware of the things that mattered to people. It was close tight fit coming through the door, and I was impressed with that and I complimented them on that. I would highly recommend them.

    La-Z-Boy stands behind their product and makes it easy to get service. I bought from the store. If I had any problems I would contact them and say, "Hey, we got an issue." I am a very satisfied La-Z-Boy loyal customer and La-Z-Boy is my favorite piece of furniture in my house. They are at the top of my list, and the way they stay there and have a lifetime customer is to continue to provide a quality product and stand behind it. La-Z-Boy is on track in trying to stay at top of the paradigm and I respect that. Transparency, keeping one's word, follow through, and doing what was promised are important. The only problem I had with them was with a reclining loveseat. I was never able to get anyone to inform warranty work, or talk about warranty work, or to take ownership, or schedule to look at it and fix it. That's the only reason why I bought all the stuff from Ashley's but I hope that's not the case now.

    Extremely hard to get out of the recliner (Jasper Recliner), could throw your back out trying. Extremely uncomfortable to sit in for very long. Actually causes back aches. Tried to live with it for a few months. Can't, just too uncomfortable. Called the store today. Willing to do nothing including fixing the issue of the lever not working well. Suggested we sell it online; and that sometimes when you buy a swivel it makes the center of gravity be off and hard to get out of the chair. Obviously salesman didn't tell us that. We are repeat customers too. Liked the first chair and couch. Bought again based on reputation, but apparently customer satisfaction and quality are not number one with La-Z-Boy anymore. Don't bother buying La-Z-Boy, not worth the extra money. Our cheaper recliner we replaced for this one was so comfortable. Shouldn't have redecorated.

    We've had La-Z-Boy furniture in our home for five years. Three weeks ago, we did a home upgrade and purchased a sofa, a power recliner, an ottoman, and some rugs from them. The sales representatives were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and timely. The delivery people were also very courteous and friendly, and they made sure that they wiped off their feet before coming in. But I was surprised that their scope of work in delivery was to just bring in the product. They don’t necessarily stage or help in doing things like taking off the plastic from the furniture. When they delivered a second round of products and brought the rugs and later on the rug pads, they helped with the setup, but they did certain things only if I asked them to and these weren’t a part of their normal scope of work.

    I'm very pleased with the quality of the products that we got from them. What has changed is that La-Z-Boy is now more than just a manufacturer and supplier of recliners. I had paid attention so I knew that they now also offer designer services and sell other products like rugs, but most people don't know that. The marketing and commercials are getting better, though, and are now showing this to people.

    A lot of people also think that La-Z-Boy products are expensive and out of their price range, but they're really not. If you compare the value of what La-Z-Boy has to the equivalent product in other furniture stores, it's just as affordable. La-Z-Boy offers quasi-custom furniture so you get a custom feel without having to pay custom rates. I've looked in custom furniture houses and their prices are twice that of La-Z-Boy. La-Z-Boy gives customers the middle ground and that's nice to have. We've recommended them to the people that have come in and looked at the products we got. Overall, we got great products with great value from La-Z-Boy and we've had a great experience with them.

    Less than a year ago my wife and I decided that it was time to purchase new furniture for our living room. We ended up at La-Z-Boy because our previous furniture was from there. We didn't have a great experience with the quality and wear of that furniture, but we chalked it up to having kids. Fast forward to now, we buy a small sectional for over $3,000. It arrives and the friendly guys set it up. Once they leave, we notice an arm is broken. So we call service. He comes and inspects it, and orders a new arm and leaves a card with a phone number when the arm arrives at our house. That happened MONTHS ago.

    I have called several times, left voicemail messages, and have not had a single call back to this point. To top it off, the fabric has balled up and looks like a really old sweater. That was within 2 months. The service tech looked at it and suggested we shave our $3,000+ furniture. Umm… no. At this point I'm ready to let them buy it back and go elsewhere.

    La-Z-Boy denied my request replace my sectional sofa, which had been repaired twice due to structural defect (arm detaching from the body of the sofa). This is the third time of experiencing the same problem so I no longer have the confidence that the issue will be permanently resolved unless the entire sofa is replaced. Today, I called and reached out to La-Z-Boy to resolve the issue, but was denied. They wanted to send another technician out for $100+ at my cost to look into the problem.

    This approach is no longer acceptable to me since this approach has been tried twice with no permanent solution. I have had La-Z-Boy recliners and sofas for several years and I always enjoy the feeling of comfort when sitting on them so would like to continue with this brand although a working one. I feel that my safety may also be an issue. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide me to resolve this issue.

    We were very excited to be owning our furniture from LZB until it got delivered. 1 of the items - stained. 1 of the items - wrong color. Manager at store tried to blame us for ordering the wrong color (sorry for not checking that the code the sales rep made was not the right one in your system - yeah let me do your work for you!) and then we get the replacement 1 MONTH LATER and it has a rip!

    We didn't accept the piece of furniture and we had to call the store to get a clarification on next steps. Forget calling the customer to apologize and make sure they get the furniture they are paying for in a prompt manner. They couldn't be bothered with that! No! We had to call to have the manager (Richard) explain that he didn't work Mondays so nothing gets done when he isn't in the store! Great! So if he had died no one would fix the problem!? We are being told a replacement will take 1 MONTH! Like we haven't been waiting enough!? So extremely disappointed at the service and experience. Will NEVER recommend LZB to anyone and will surely make it a mission to discredit their service. Crazy us thought this would be a good experience.

    I've got 5 La-Z-Boys in my house. I have them upstairs and downstairs. I was looking for a particular piece and I found it at La-Z-Boy. The girl was quite young. I understand this is true with a lot of young people but when I first went in, she sat at her desk and said, "Can I help you," instead of getting up and walking back to see me. I really was not very pleased with the sales representative. I wanted to look at the samples and take them to the light and every time I would go back, she would say, "Well, what do you think, well what do you think?" It was so many times. I wanted to make a good choice which I did. But sitting at the desk, asking me what I decided, let her know what I decide. It was not very appropriate.

    It would be good if the sales people at that particular store, were waiting on a customer, if they could not sit at their desk and keep asking you questions. She was pretty curt. It has to do with a bit of laziness, a bit of more concern about selling a piece of furniture than trying to wait on the customers. When I would ask her questions, she answered my questions. I give her credit for that. She would take me around so she was doing the necessary things. It's probably just personal touch. I bought the La-Z-Boy in spite of her not because of her. She was personable enough. The delivery team, though, could not have been nicer to help me out. I was very pleased with them and the furniture which are lovely pieces. They called me before they were coming and they came timely.

    I purchased two recliners and a sofa from the La-Z-Boy store located on North Dale Mabry, Tampa Florida. At the time of delivery, I noted that there were three separate places where the fabric was not securely connected between the back of the recliner arms and the back of the recliner, leaving each of these sections with frayed fabric sticking out from the chair.

    I pointed this out to the delivery person and he said he’d take a picture to verify the chair was delivered in the manner. I immediately called and spoke with the store manager, Leon. I told him I was very disappointed in the craftsmanship of this recliner and that it should be replaced. I told him that it didn’t appear that sufficient fabric had been used in construction of these three sections of the chair. He said he would send someone to look at the recliner and he assured me that he would take care of it.

    Leon scheduled a La-Z- Boy furniture expert to come to my home to assess the problem. However, the furniture expert’s solution was to just staple the loose and frayed fabric. But there was so little fabric to work with that he had to use a lot of staples to try to correct the problem. However, this resulted in seeing a lot of staples in these sections… which devalued the look of the recliner.

    I again called Leon, the store manager, and told him that I was not happy to have purchased a new chair that had such poor craftsmanship and not constructed correctly and that the only solution was to use lots of staples to try to hold the limited amount of fabric in place. I was also concerned that these sections would unravel more in the future, despite all the staples that had been used to hide the problem. I told him he’d charged me for a new chair that was not crafted correctly and that the solution made these sections of the chair look worse. His response was that “that is the way it is”.

    I called the La-Z-Boy corporate office in Michigan to see what could be done to stand by their brand. I was surprised to learn that the Tampa store is independently owned and not owned by the corporate brand. I wish I’d known this before I purchased the furniture. It makes me question if the store in Tampa is selling refurbished rather than newly constructed furniture.

    In good faith I accepted the store manager’s word that he would take care of this issue when I initially alerted him to the problem on the day of the delivery. I believed he would stand by the furniture he sells and ensure that the craftsmanship and quality that the La-Z-Boy brand promises is honored. Had I known this was not the case I would have never considered this store. This experience with the La-Z-Boy store on Dale Mabry in Tampa has also made me doubt if I’ll every buy any more of the La-Z-Boy brand again.

    I was very pleased with La-Z-Boy. I’ve already bought from them before and it’s very easy to go to them because they have a large variety of items and I find the quality and designs that I like there. I went in for a couch because my old couch was 25 years old and it was looking a bit tired. Their rep Claudia was outstanding while Donovan was exceptionally helpful. Donovan suggested that they could come to the house and do a design plan for me. But I thought they should just give me some ideas of how I can make my room look nicer. So, Claudia did the whole design and I loved it.

    I kept changing my mind, but the reps were so patient with me. They were always professional and they never pressured nor rushed me around the store. I'm very happy with them. They also made a good team. If Claudia walked out, Donovan would help me. I never felt that I only could deal with Claudia because he was always there to answer my questions. I ended up buying two chairs, a TV console, a mirror, a lamp, a carpet, and a couple of pictures from her. I had fun with the purchase. My overall bill was more than I wanted it to be. But when I look at what I bought, I don’t think it was out of proportion. Also, I got a great deal because all the items were on sale.

    Some of the furniture did not come in as scheduled, so they scheduled two deliveries. And that was not a problem for me. There were two delivery guys who came and they were nice, professional and courteous. They worked really well together. They also know exactly how to take things apart and set everything up. They finished the job very quickly and took all of the wrappings away. Lastly, they made sure the furniture was positioned as I wanted it. After we got the furniture delivered and pictures put up, everything is really nice. All of my friends liked it. I had an incredible experience with La-Z-Boy. I never thought I would have a room that looks like this. I love the way that the new pieces and my old pieces flow together.

    After 3 years of owning a high-end La-Z-Boy recliner, the t-nut and screw that holds bracket for the back of the chair pulled out of the cheap oriented strand board side panel. We purchased the extended warranty, but were told that only covers the motor. We had to spend $109 for a repair person to come out to the house to look at it. It took a few weeks for that appointment, which was considered a rush job! He spent about 5 minutes looking at it and taking pictures. He then told us it was covered by the factory warranty but we'd have to pay again for him to come out to fix it. He also told us that he would order the parts and when we received them to make a follow-up appointment to have him come out.

    Over 3 weeks later we called to find out that they hadn't shipped out the parts because we need pay for shipping, tax, and for a follow-up appointment. I have medical issues where I can only sleep on a recliner, so having to wait months for warranty service on a recliner is unacceptable, never mind the constant nickel and diming me for warranty service!

    I went to this store to specifically look at couches with recliners. We wanted to know the price of one manually. What followed was 45 minutes of interrogation that had nothing to do with our question. In the end the form he showed us had the love seat with it, that we did not want. The assistant manager who came over made fun of a broken recliner I noticed and said it was caused by "fat people". Stay away from this store. It is high pressure and rude!

    I'm 81 years old and I've been buying La-Z-Boy furniture for many years. When I moved from Colorado to North Carolina, I had to leave all of my furniture there and buy a new sofa. I went into the La-Z-Boy store in Centennial, Colorado and I told them about my bad experience before where the red recliner sofa I bought from them about 15 years ago did not hold up. The upholstery wore off within a month and I was under the feeling that La-Z-Boy's quality had deteriorated. I almost did not buy another sofa from them but a lady there told me that the new fabric would last for a long time. I trusted her and ordered it in advance to have it delivered. I phoned the store and talked to a very helpful young lady on the phone who was in the Raleigh La-Z-Boy store. She did a perfect job. The sofa was delivered the day that I came in my house in NC and I love it. It's looking good after two months.

    This is the second time in 16 months that the cable to recline the chairs has broken. Yes they will fix under warranty, however they will charge $80.00 for the service call to repair, or I can pick up a seating unit of about 350 +/- lbs and take to their shop and they will do for free. That is not what I would refer to as quality customer service. I bought LaZboy for the quality, somehow it got lost in the translation. Unit original delivered in January of 2014.

    The furniture that I had was worn out, and I wanted a recliner. La-Z-Boy's rep asked me if I knew what I was looking for. I gave him some ideas and he steered me in the right direction. We went through the different products and went through with the warranties as well. I ended up purchasing two recliners. The delivery team was super and they were in and out. The quality so far has been wonderful and the cost is reasonable. Everyone acted like they should act, and everything was fine. I even had to reschedule the receiving of the furniture because something came up, and they were great with that. It was an efficient and straightforward experience overall. There was no dallying around and I'd purchase from La-Z-Boy again.

    I was at the La-Z-Boy store with my daughter and she was buying furniture. I bought a swatch of material that matched her furniture because I was going to re-cover a dining room chair for her and the salesman was wonderful. He spent a lot of time with us. He was knowledgeable about the furniture and we didn't feel that he was pushy so we felt comfortable in his recommendation. I also liked the store because it was set up in vignettes with furnished little rooms. We chose the store because we have been to other stores but we didn't find anything. We also thought that La-Z-Boy was going to very expensive so we didn't go there to begin with. But we went there because the quality of the furniture was spot on and they were on sale so the furniture was very reasonably priced. We're glad that we tried La-Z-Boy.

    Initially I signed up for the at home design consultation. I thought it was great. The designer picked out furniture set, and accessories. HOWEVER, I guess I got caught up in the moment of wanting to purchase a sectional along with lamps, rugs, pillows without realizing they were WAY OVERPRICED! I'm talking 400% markup on some items!!!

    I supposed I should have shopped around so one day I was wandering around in Home Depot and Lowe's and saw comparable, if not BETTER QUALITY lamps and rugs for like a fraction of the price ie. I paid over $1000 for my area rug and saw one that was similar and actually better quality for $350! Lamps as well, I paid over $200 each lamp and could have purchased a really nice one for about $39! A simple slip mat I paid of $100 I purchased at JYSK for $14.

    I felt physically sick to my stomach when I realized this that I got RIPPED OFF! How can they charge such high markups?? I contacted the store sales person I dealt with and apparently he has escalated my enquiry to the store manager. I am awaiting a reply and explanation around how they can charge such huge prices and markups! ADVICE TO ALL - REALLY SHOP AROUND AND LOOK FOR BEST PRICES! I can't walk by the lamps and rugs in other retail stores without cringing!

    My wife and I purchased a new La-Z-Boy recliner about 2 years ago and we will never purchase another La-Z-Boy product. For what it cost it is of very low quality. Simply put it is fabric stretched over plywood. We weren't happy with it after about 6 months when it was obviously getting weak and wobbly. The padding on the arms is so thin that it is uncomfortable to rest your arms on them due to feeling the wood through the material. No use in wasting my time and effort to pursue any relief through the store we purchased it at or dealing with the manufacturer so we are just taking a loss on it and moving on to another brand. It's just built very cheap and we are sorry we trusted the brand name.

    UPDATED ON 10/01/2017: I paid $900 for a La-Z-Boy recliner about 2 years ago and complained about the quality a couple months ago via this site. A rep from the store I purchased it from came to my house and looked at it then reported his findings to La-Z-Boy. So I got my answer from La-Z-Boy a few days ago. They said there were no manufacturers defects, I assume that means all their products are built this poor. Material stretched over plywood with no padding on the inside of the arms, extremely uncomfortable. I'm totally unsatisfied with the product and the service I received from La-Z-Boy. Very poor quality for the price. I hope this helps someone when looking for comfortable furniture.

    When my husband was sitting in the recliner, it broke. I went to La-Z-Boy and everybody was great. The sales reps were fantastic people and they helped us. They wanted to come out to the house, but I live so far and I didn't want them driving all the way over here. Also, the delivery team was very good. Everything came in and was all packed very nicely. They fit the back and the whole chair together. Then they took them apart and showed us how. The quality so far is very good. They're expensive chairs, but they're well-worth it. My room looks beautiful and my two recliner chairs are gorgeous.

    La-Z-Boy has great quality and it lasts. We've had a leather recliner from them for many years. It's in a teal color and I loved it. I sat on it constantly, but the foot piece got broken and it would cost more to fix it. So we decided to replace it with a smaller leather recliner in a tan color and has a little bit different texture. We’re in a condo, so it’s not too big. We've had it for about a year or two and we love it as well. But, I bought this current couch from Walter E. Smithe and it was very expensive. We used that couch constantly, too, but the fabric and the cushions didn't hold up, and maybe we bought the wrong color. So we replaced it with a leather couch which we think will be longer lasting.

    We originally went to the store in the city and then we looked up La-Z-Boy to see if there was something closer to us and there was one in a suburb. We went there, but the store didn’t exist anymore. So we just went back into the city and did it. The staff there is always great, whether it’s the ones that we’re dealing with or the other one who came by when we were picking stuff. She came out, looked at our living room, did a sketch and a picture of how the new stuff would look. It was amazing and she was so sweet, thorough, and wonderful. She also helped us on how to contact either Goodwill or whoever if we can’t get somebody who wants to get our current furniture picked up.

    Aside from the sofa and a recliner, we also purchased two end tables, two lamps, a couch, a chair, and a TV stand kind of console, thing. We'd put them all in our living room. We also purchased a little area rug to put in front of the couch and I couldn’t have done it without the rep who came here because I don’t have the eye for it. It worked out really well, but we have yet to receive the new pieces until September because we wanted to have it all at the same time. But, La-Z-Boy has been tremendous so far.

    We purchased a chaise from the La-Z-Boy in Florence Kentucky and were excited to pick out the material to coordinate with our living room. After 5 weeks of waiting we took possession. Everything looked great... Until you sit across the room looking at it and notice that the cushion is crooked (off center by about 2"). We went over to straighten it and realized it was sewn on. So, we took a picture and went back to the La-Z-Boy store two days after receiving it. They listened to our concern and looked at our picture.

    Then without apologizing or seeming concerned they said "didn't someone explain to you the right of refusal?" No, they didn't. "Basically, once you sign for it, it is yours and there is nothing we can do, you will have to call the technical support line." This is the treatment we received after spending $1200 on a piece of furniture? As we turned to walk away with the technical support line number in hand... They tell us "we really hope you will come back and buy from us again." Uh, no... I don't think that will happen again. Especially, if you don't have better customer support than that. I will make sure that anyone looking for furniture in the Florence Kentucky area hears my story and warning to purchase elsewhere.

Horrible store and even worse customer service. Why should I be penalized for, their errors? I would give it no stars if I could.

    This is my first La-Z-Boy purchase. I bought a new recliner because our old one fell apart -- I used it often. I recently had a knee surgery and I was uncomfortable sleeping in the old bed, so I can only sleep in my recliner. I was looking for a comfortable one to sleep in and the La-Z-Boy one was on sale and chose it. I also went and sat in a few of them and they were very comfortable.     I needed a chair and I went to a La-Z-Boy store in Lombard out in Roosevelt twice and bought two recliners. The first time, I dealt with a guy who was informative and friendly. I was under the impression that I was going to get the power recliner that pushes out the lumber and adjusts up the head, and he sold me on that. When it was delivered, it was just a regular power recliner. But the delivery guys told me that I got what I paid for, so I just took it. My biggest complaint is that I had waited an extra month for this recliner because of that same employee. But I am extremely pleased with the furniture itself.

    It was much better the second time that I purchased a recliner from them. The older lady rep was excellent and extremely helpful. She made up for the mistake made by the younger gentleman that I had dealt with before and she told me that the guy doesn't work there anymore. I'm satisfied with the company and with the furniture that they gave me.

    My wife had a surgery on her leg and needed a chair where she can keep her leg up during rehab. The couches that we first purchased from La-Z-Boy have held up well and we have always been happy with them so we came back and bought a chair. I went in the store needing something that I could take home that night since my wife was going to be discharged the next day. The salesperson called around to make sure we can get a floor model that I could pick up that night so I was extremely impressed. He showed the construction of the chair, what set it apart from the competitors and talked about the material used for the different types of chairs and different price points.

    I picked the bed up and took it home. It came apart with two pieces at the back and the bottom, and one of my neighbors and I were able to carry it in. Although La-Z-Boy's cost is a bit more, but the quality is better. It's reasonable and that's a trade-off I'm willing to make. I'm extremely happy with my experience with La-Z-Boy and I appreciate it.

    My chair has broke down 2 times in first 3 years. No big deal. However getting them repaired is another story. I have been fighting for 2 months to get my recliner fixed. It is the only place I can sit in my house without lower back pain. This was the main reason I bought the most expensive recliner on earth. Service man came out and ordered the parts. Week or so later parts came. They were not all there. Called and they said, "Don't worry. They are all there." Repairman returned. He said this is not all the parts. I then received another part but not all of them. Over 6 weeks have past and the right parts are now here. But the repairman will be 2 weeks before he can come to my house for a 15 minute job. Shameful treatment for what you spend.

    Worst experience in purchase of three recliners. They were ordered wrong and one chair lost in shipment for two weeks. The sales person in Birmingham store (Rene) stated it was her fault in order but did little to help or keep up posted. Manager Steve was the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with and told several outright lies. After a month of all this tried five times calling regional manager and never heard from him. Still have not gotten two chairs but paid cash two months ago. Awful company to do special orders and 150 is the worst store in town.

    We had a bunch of furniture in the living room but we got rid of it and gave it all to my stepson. We started re-equipping our condo. I owned La-Z-Boy furniture in the past. I have the love seat and this chair that I've had for 12 years. I love them so I bought more. I bought the older furniture in 2004. The La-Z-Boy store in Columbia, Maryland, was on sale at that time. It's still very good. I purchased a power sofa and a love seat recently. I had a nice sectional that I got rid of because I needed the room. It's really a large living room but I shortened it. I wanted a couch and a love seat instead of a big sectional so we looked at other competitors but we went into a La-Z-Boy store instead. We wanted the furniture that was dark red in color but they only had the brown color so they suggested that we have it made into the color that we like, so we did that. We also bought some lamps and other stuff that was on sale.

    I like the saleslady. She was off the day that I went back in to order and I wanted to make sure that she got credit for it. Both women, the one that I originally dealt with and the lady who wrote everything up at the end, were really good. We had the furniture delivered and the scheduling was easy. They were flexible around the medical appointment that I had. The delivery team called from the gate and I went down and let them in. They brought everything up and didn't bang or break anything. I had a good experience with La-Z-Boy in the past and this experience was good as well. If I need some more stuff, I'll get some more from La-Z-Boy. They're definitely on my list to consider for any future purchases.

    Our other couches were too old and we decided to purchase new furniture. We got our couches from La-Z-Boy and we love them. It looks like a loveseat but it has a console with the cup holders in-between. We got two of those and one of them has something wrong with the mechanics because there’s a bit of a shimmy when we retract the seat back.

    We had someone come out to try to repair that and he said he had to order a couple of parts and see if it could be fixed. The parts came, so we’re waiting for the guy to come and redo that part of the mechanics. We also have a recliner and it didn’t take long for a part of the recliner to break. The joint on the back part must’ve cracked and he’s going to look at that as well. They’re not inexpensive things. I was expecting a little more and I would say that we’re 80% satisfied but everything else is great. It’s only been two months but everything is holding up pretty well.     We have 2 sofas purchased at La-Z-Boy store and have had less than 6 months. The fabric has many rough spots from piling material. The cushions have lost their shape and look bad weeks after first use. Customer service is hateful and offer no resolution. Say stuff just happens but do not stand behind their product. I am disgusted with this company and plan to spread the word about their overpriced products.

    I have purchased 8 La-Z-Boy chairs over the years. I have also bought my last one. I took my La-Z-Boy in for repairs in June. It is now mid-August and my chair is still not repaired. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. They charge HIGH prices for cheap made products and take forever to repair them when they break. The company I purchased from is Walnut Cove Furniture. I have another chair I purchased after the one being repaired that has broken also. It's not even 2 years old yet. Springs are broken in cushion, screws are falling out. Every La-Z-Boy I have purchased has had to be repaired. But it didn't use to take this long. I will never purchase another one. I can buy cheaper furniture at other places and replace them if they break and not have to deal with the headache.

    Purchased two leather recliners at Tampa, Florida store on August 4 2017 and they were delivered August 8 to our home. Chemical smell was strong from the beginning. We tried everything to no avail. I stopped by store after church on Sunday August 12 when salesman Steve ** suggested I call service for help. It took 3 days to get a call back to be told nothing could be done as LB has the problem often with the spray on the foam. I called Steve ** on the evening of August 15 only to be told the manager would call me later in the week when she got back from vacation. I left another message at the sales department the morning of August 16 asking them to go ahead and pick up the chairs asap as the smell was making my wife sick, I have not received a call back. Store is 05. Salesperson is Steve.

    Our tush was getting ridiculously warm and this led me to my first La-Z-Boy purchase, although I have inherited stuff when I was younger. The sales representatives weren't pushy. I ended up with two different people because I was there on two different days. The first one was less knowledgeable due to being relatively new. He had to look up a bunch of stuff, but the second person seemed to know a lot of it already. Afterwards, we scheduled the day of delivery and the team got here within the window they were to be here so that was good. I wasn't home for the delivery but my husband was and when I arrived, the couches were in the right places. I'm happy with the quality and I would recommend someone else to go there for the same ones.

    Ordered a recliner for our son back in July. Salesman told my husband that it would arrive at the Lakeland warehouse Aug 5th. As of today (Aug 16) no one can give us an answer of where the recliner is. Today it's "oh it's not shipping from factory until the 19th so probably sometime in September". We paid a lot of money for smoke and mirrors. Sent off email to the president of the company and the regional manager. Hope someone higher up the chain knows what the hell is going on, obviously the Brandon Florida store is clueless.

    I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for 30 years and they had finally worn out so I recently purchased a new sectional and chair. Their sales rep was very good and knowledgeable. The delivery team was excellent and they moved out a couch and helped my husband put it in a truck, which was beyond their call of duty. So far, I'm happy with the quality of my furniture. We had one little problem with the chair and they came out the 10th of August and repaired that. I also had a little issue with the matching of the fabric on the cushion with the chair on the pattern. I could see why they did it that way but to me, it should match. They would call that a random pattern but I don't because I pattern to it. Overall, I was happy with the whole experience.

    I am very happy with the furniture I bought from La-z-boy. It is Kincaid. I like that the furniture is real wood and made in America. My issue is with the service. I purchased the service plan, not cheap. When my new furniture was delivered, there were problems with drawers not shutting properly as well as a small cut in the edge of one table. I called Comfort Care immediately, as I had purchased the service plan. It took over a month for a service technician to come to my home and view the problems, not to fix just look. He then ordered the parts needed to supposedly fix the issues. I waited for over a month for the parts to arrive at my home.

    I do not understand why I should be receiving parts and making phone calls to set up another appointment to fix my furniture if I have purchased the service plan. Isn't that something the service provider should be doing? The service technician came out again today, looked at the parts and said they were the wrong parts. So I have now waited over 2 months and nothing has been resolved. The service tech said he would report that both of my pieces of furniture that were damaged should be replaced in full. I am okay with this, however it just means I am now waiting even longer for the issue to be resolved. I love my furniture, but I am extremely disappointed in the service that is provided that I have paid for.

    I have been very happy with our recliner couch until it wouldn't retrieve properly. But wasn't too worried because La-Z-Boy has always had a good reputation for standing behind their products. I called and made a appointment for service. They were a good month out. My service time window was 730 am-8 am. I called back a few days before my appt to see if they could push back my time a little because I needed to run my kid to practice. No, they couldn't do that. So, I took my kid really early so I could be back in time. It's 820 am and no one is showing up. Called and they said they called the night before because they needed to change my time. The gal told me they left a message but I had no message on either one of my phones.

    It's just really frustrating that they can change your time when needed but the customer can't when they're paying for the work. This is very poor customer service and unacceptable. Someone dropped the ball. This is no way to run a business. There are a variety of ways they could have communicated with me. We'll see how things go at the appt.

    We've had two gliders and a sofa from La-Z-Boy for over a decade and recently, I purchased this rocking chair from them for my wife and a newborn. It was my gift to her at the baby shower. But this might be our last. Their sales representatives were extremely pushy. We placed out two different items and they said that they're going to do it for the same price. At that point, we hadn't purchased our house yet and they weren't willing to store it. So I said that I'm just going to take this chair but they were very reluctant on giving it to me for the same price. They said that their vice president priced it for me. They were dishonest. I understand they're trying to create sales for their team and putting money in their own pocket. By all means, they can do whatever they need to do like do a follow-up but they shouldn't try to pressure right off the bat and give someone a guilt trip. They should let the consumer make their own decisions.

    On the other hand, we had the parts delivered and set up and my wife said it looked fine. They set it up and they left. The experience was fine but it is a matter of safety concern on the chair itself. My wife almost fell out of it getting up which I shouldn't worry about. I spent $1,000 on the chair. I had tried calling the store but the person who helped me was not there multiple times. If they're going to continue to produce crap products, they should really look into upgrading their products. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

    Whatever La-Z-Boy used to stand for in terms of quality or durability has apparently gone by the way. The recliner I purchased only 4 years ago is essentially falling apart. The leather on the headrest has worn through and ripped, the padding in the arms has collapsed, and one arm rail has either broken or come loose. The previous two recliners I had purchased from La-Z-Boy lasted a combined 29 years, so I can only assume they have elected, like so many other companies, to sacrifice quality for profits.

    When I contacted the store I had purchased the chair from to see if they would do anything, I was informed that they would do nothing but would be "happy to recommend a good upholsterer". As bad as that was, it was still far better than the response I received from the corporate response line and officers which was collectively - nothing, no response whatsoever. Bottom line, stay away from La-Z-Boy: you'll end up paying a great deal of money for something that will hold up no better than the cheap stuff at the discount stores.

    I’ve had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for several years and when I moved I needed something in my TV room where I could sit comfortably and the only place I knew where to go was La-Z-Boy. The sales representative helped me with the different colors and types of material. She showed me everything because I asked specifically for a loveseat with the console. She was great and the delivery team was very professional. They set it up to make sure I knew how it works and they checked everything with me to make sure they are all in working order then it was ready to go and they left. I love the furniture, the patterns and the different things. The quality is excellent. It could have been cheaper but the loveseat is extremely comfortable and my two dogs and I sit very happily together in our new La-Z-Boy. I definitely recommend it.

    Purchased Urbana Oval Cocktail table & 2 end tables. After less than 6 months veneer on tables began to show scratches and bubbling which are listed under the what is covered section of the Ultrashield 5 year protection plan. The glass inserts in all the tables fits poorly and allows dust and other particles to accumulate within a few hrs of cleaning. The glass insert on one of the tables appears smeared after repeated attempts to clean. Because glass inserts do not fit properly they have fallen through the "wooden" table tops crashing into the bottom glass portion of the tables. This is a safety hazard.

    I filed a claim with Ultrashield and a repairman viewed the damages and agreed that my complaints were valid. Ultrashield has denied my claim stating this is a non-coverage "normal wear and tear and accumulation of damages". I strongly disagree. I would urge anyone considering purchasing tables from the Urbana collection to make another selection. La-Z-Boy should discontinue selling this highly inferior product.

    My other furniture was uncomfortable so I decided to purchase a power recliner sofa and accessories from La-Z-Boy. My interaction with the sales rep was incredibly long and I was given inaccurate information. I was told that I would have it within five weeks, but I didn't get it for three months. The rep said that it's been delayed, but then it's been delayed way too long and I was very disappointed. It was not necessary to be that late and they did not tell me why it was so. It would have been okay though if they had told me that the fabric that I wanted had been back ordered and if I was asked if I still wanted that fabric and if so, they should've told me that it might be delayed and they’d keep me updated. However, they just sent me an email saying it's been delayed. They said it should be back in such and such a day, but it never came in. Then two weeks later, they sent me another email but it didn't come in either.

    Every two weeks they'd send me an email that it's been delayed and when it’ll come in, but they didn't even tell me why it was delayed. I just figured that they were back logged. So, I had to drive all the way down there to find out why it was delayed. When I went in to talk to the manager to say how disappointed I was, she wasn't even sympathetic and she only gave me free delivery, $89, despite the fact that the sofa is on sale now for $800 less than I paid for. That's how I found out that the reason was the fabric.

    The delivery team was very good however, there were two things that I don't like about the sofa. The one part of the fabric is one color and the other part at the back of the sofa and the love seat are another color. They told me I could refuse it, but I didn't have a sofa that time so I couldn't refuse it. I spent a lot of money for it which is over $2,000. They told me they'd have somebody call me, which they did. They called me at work and I told them to call me the next day as I was off, but I never heard from them again. Also, the recliner that I sat on at the store was soft between my legs, but mine has two blocks of wood and it doesn't have any softness there. I shouldn’t feel the wood when I put my hands beside me.

    I spent $22,000 for the whole furniture only to be delivered so late and with a striped look. I would love to hear from the manager or some corporate person about it and they could come out and see how my furniture looks and they could sit on my chair and feel the blocks of wood. It's been a horrible experience. La-Z-Boy has very poor customer service and very poor quality. I would not recommend it.

    We have bought some stuff up seven years ago from Gardiners and we paid an incredible amount of money for it which is ended up the same junk. So this time I purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy. Their whole team was really good. The sales rep was wonderful. We gave her the dimensions of what we were looking for and she designed it for us. Everything fits perfectly. I thought it was going be too big but she kept reassuring me that it will all fit just fine and she was 100% right.

    The two guys that delivered the furniture were also incredible so I gave each one of them $50 tip. They really went above and beyond. We're in the process of starting our deck and it was probably about a 6-foot drop there. Plus the stuff that we had was very heavy and we actually had to take it out the back door. My husband was trying to get it out by himself and the guys pitched right in and helped him. They were extremely cautious about the brand new hardwood floors that were put in.

    I love the quality of the furniture and I highly recommended La-Z-Boy to anybody that I know who was looking for a furniture. I just wish that they would have a little bit more color options with it but my husband really liked the color so I let him have what he wanted at that time. I looked at different things and eventually I would like to do some other options in my formal living room. I looked at some of the materials, fabrics and colors and stuff that they have there and I was impressed with it. La-Z-Boy had everything whether it was modern or a little bit more traditional.

    I recently purchased a sectional from La-Z-Boy and it was a pleasant experience. The minute I walked in, they greeted me. They were very friendly, genuine and they asked if they could help me. At first I said no, but after I was there for a few minutes walking around confused, they came to me. They asked me some questions and so I told them what I wanted. They took me right to the exact thing that I wanted and told me all the options I could get with it just for material plus the ways I could set the sectional up. They took time with me and they were very nice people to work with.

    I realized that there was a big sale so with the couch that I got, the quality was 10 times better. I'd been looking for a couch for two months and I'd been in every store. The low-end couches were cheaper but they definitely didn't give me all the options that I wanted. The delivery team was also very nice. They put the sectional exactly the way I wanted it. I thought I wanted it a certain place and I didn't like it there so they moved it over for me. I've had my sectional a little more than a month and so far, I love it. I will probably more than likely always purchase anything that I need from La-Z-Boy now.

    It has been ten years since we purchased our last set of furniture and it was time we get a new one so we went with La-Z-Boy. We’d gone in the store like three or four times debating. And we had two different salespeople in all of those times. They both seemed very friendly and hospitable. It was good customer service. They were helping us out the whole time. The delivery was quick and easy too. Plus the delivery team was awesome. Originally, we had bought the couch and a chair. Then we decided that night that we wanted to change the chair out to a loveseat. The next day, we went in, spoke to a young lady and it was super easy. They changed over the order and didn't have any issues. And now we're enjoying our furniture.

    I'm 85 years old and at my age, I couldn't get up and down so I needed some help and decided to get me an automatic chair from La-Z-Boy. My grandson did the purchase but I was with him at that time. Their sales rep and delivery team were nice. So far, this chair has been doing good and the cost wasn't too bad if nothing happens to it in the next 12 months. But every once in a while, it makes a funny noise. It had only done it two times and I want to wait and see if it's going to continue doing it.

    In January of 2015 we purchased 2 La-Z-Boy Recliners. Within the first month one needed to be repaired and the service was great. The service tech that came out was helpful and fixed the chair. Today 8-10-2017 I called and wanted to set up a service call to have the same chair repaired again. When we bought the recliners we bought top of the price scale and top of the line recliners. We asked about the warranty and the sales person told us it was a great plan. That everything had a lifetime guarantee and that it was one of the best warranties around. So believing this we purchased our recliners. Again paying for not only the recliners but for the fabric protection also.

    When I called today I was informed that the parts are covered as there is a lifetime warranty on those... BUT we would have to pay for the labor ($109.00 for the first hour, then every 15 minutes after that). We also had to pay for shipping on the parts which would be $12.99. If, you are going to talk a big talk about that the recliner would be under a warranty for a lifetime then you honor that. It was through no fault or rough handling of this chair that it broke. The springs gave out on one side of it. Meaning this was a default in the making of the chair. And, I have to add my tags are still on the chair!! We will be throwing it in the city dump and we will NEVER buy anything again from La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. They do not take care of their customers like they should and are only out for the sale of the product. After that you are on your own. So very disappointed with this company and the sales people.

    I purchased six dining chairs from La-Z-Boy two months ago. We are using an old table and wanted chunkier, heavier chairs to go with it. I have been searching for a long time. I happened to be right near their store in Appleton, Wisconsin so I popped in there to see and look at a chair similar but not exactly what I wanted. I then looked through some of the pamphlets that they had, saw the chairs and ordered them because they didn’t have them in stock. Their sales reps were great. They called me and we picked the date of delivery then they delivered them.

    It was real rainy then and we had some brushed stone plus I have a quarter-mile long driveway, blacktopped. Their delivery team was afraid to drive up so they carted them up and it was nice. The quality is great and they’re made well. It was a great deal and I’m very happy. It was a great experience all around with the people I worked with. They treated me well and I’m very satisfied. The chairs worked out perfectly and I might purchase some accessories too.

    We've been purchasing from La-Z-Boy for about four years now. When we first moved into a house about four years ago we bought a couch and a recliner. La-Z-Boy really has good quality furniture because until now those still look brand new. La-Z-Boy furniture is not cheap but it's going to last us our foreseeable future.     Over $3000 down the toilet on a custom couch called the "Collins". It does not hold true to its claim or warranty. We ordered a custom couch just over a year ago and opted for the upgraded "memory foam" seat cushions. It's been about 18 months and the seat cushions go FLAT when sitting or laying. It has become terrible for our posture and back. As of now, I don't even want this couch any longer due to the cushions.

    When we first bought the couch, the cushions were actually quite firm and perfect, but this is some VERY poor quality memory foam. Also two of the throw pillows we purchased filled HORRIBLY. La-Z-Boy did replace those, but haven't done anything to resolve the issue with the flat cushions. Avoid like the plague! Maybe they will do something for us after seeing this, but I can tell you the warranty center is awful to deal with and did nothing to help. The cushions are supposed to have a 5 year warranty, but if it's the same cushions I'm afraid they will only go flat again after 12 months. Just an awful experience.

    I had a hip replacement and I needed a means of getting on my feet. And I was told by a person who also had a hip replacement that getting a lift chair was the way to go. I purchased a La-Z-Boy lift chair and the delivery went very good. They were going to get it out a day later but we had an engagement going on. So, they delivered the very next weekend. And they got here an hour before they said they were going to. They brought it upstairs, set it up, and they brought the old chair that was here into the garage downstairs. So, they made life easy there. I love the lift chair. It's high-end stature and is working out fine. I don't have to bend down and then when I have to get up, it virtually puts it on my feet. So, I can get up and use my walker around the house. With La-Z-Boy, you pay for quality and I don't normally spend $2,000 on a chair but I needed it. If we got to buy another chair or replace some furniture up here, we'll probably end up with La-Z-Boy again.

    I've had La-Z-Boy furniture in my home for more than 25 years now. I have a pet sleep in my living room for a period of time and the pets damaged the furniture. Since I don't have pets now, I decided this would be a good time to have a new furniture. So, I purchased a recliner and a couch from La-Z-Boy. The interactions with the sales rep were very good. I prefer the second time I went there. I like that they don't work on commission so there's no pressure or anything like that. They've been very customer-oriented and not pushy. They also have good pillows and I asked them if they are still as good as they used to be because their mechanism is that they're guaranteed for life. They said that it's the same pattern.

    Carrie was very helpful. She was the design specialist. When I was thinking about how this would be, she was able to offer us help as she worked. It was a good experience with the staff. The delivery team was a couple of good guys. They were fine and threw in a couple of tips when they came which was good. It was really nice to know those things. With the first 25 years with La-Z-Boy, I tighten the leg rest thing but they were very good. I wanted to put shelf things on the bottom and they were very accommodating. They did it for me and didn't make me do it. That was very nice. I got the two chairs and they look really nice. They're working good and I would recommend La-Z-Boy to others.

    I totally renovated a very large room and I've had a sectional for 25 years that was past due in replacement. I just wanted to be finished with kids and pets before I bought an expensive furniture and I've always wanted to buy La-Z-Boy furniture but I thought it was probably going to be more expensive than I wanted to pay. Then I saw a new shopping center open up near my house called Foundry Row in Owings Mills and it has a La-Z-Boy in it with a fixed "Sale" sign. So I went in and saw exactly what I wanted within minutes. It was the same type as the sectional that I bought 25 years ago and it was on sale.

    Two days after I bought it, they did a great delivery. But I realized it was too small so I wanted to buy an extra piece. I went over and paid for it in my neighborhood and the next day, I drove to the warehouse and picked it up. They put it in the car and it was super easy to put together and perfect. The sectional is beautiful and extremely comfortable. However, within about a week of having it, somebody spilled something on it and I called La-Z-Boy. I had bought the stain protection for the sofa and they set me up immediately. They had a company call in and schedule to come out to get rid of the stain, which I was shocked about. They also told me that if I wanted to try it myself, I could. I did and the stain came right out so they didn't have to come after all but I was impressed with the service aspect of that.

    Prior to purchasing our new LA-Z-BOY sectional (Order #**) we took advantage of 'In-Home Design" for measurement, design CAD layout suggesting placement with advisement from LA-Z-BOY on color and fabric selection. We (my wife and I) are repeat customers of the LA-Z-BOY brand with positive previous experiences in quality and durability. We were very excited when we purchased (5/13/2017) our custom built sectional created specifically for our home. Installers (excellent staff) delivered furniture approximately 6 weeks later and set up sectional. Large gaps between sectional pieces and uneven heights (backs and skirt lengths) were noticed. Installers stated that further adjustments could be made but would require a technician. They asked that we note issues on delivery paperwork and that we would be contacted within 5 business days by LA-Z-BOY to set up a time for technician to come to our home.

    We were not contacted during this period so I called our Sales Consultant (7/01) at the Grapevine, TX location. On the following Monday (7/03) she had a representative (Angel) call us and a technician was dispatched on the 6th. The technician (excellent staff) took digitals and determined incorrect structure pieces (wood frame) were used on several pieces, uneven and incorrect lengths on skirts, poor alignment (high/low), poor workmanship in upholstery tucks, bad alignment in upholstery piece to piece. The aesthetic part of the overall bad appearance was also noted as the fabric growing (multi-direction and skewing). There was verbal agreement regarding poor quality and he stated there was so much wrong that it would have to be picked up and would involve both LA-Z-BOY and the manufacturer(?). Then again as before, nothing happened for an uncomfortable amount of time.

    I called our Sales Consultant again which stimulated a call from Service (Angel) who shared that parts were being ordered. On 8/02/2017, the entire sectional was pick up. This has possibly been the most disappointing purchase for our home (married 37 years). I believe that possibly the correct frame can be added/modified, cushions restuffed, skirts corrected to a point that LA-Z-BOY may say "that's it". Our issue is that it doesn't look even similar to a nice piece of custom made furniture. Whatever the immediate resolve, the fabric has grown noticeably after only two weeks. This is not going to miraculously improve but only get worse. It really looks bad and I would appreciate someone looking into our predicament.

    I have purchased over the years 3 sets of furniture from Scottsdale La-Z-Boy. The first custom set had specific cushion density. It arrived with 2 different foam cushions. When I phoned, I was told to give it a few months so the foam would break in... it never did. The second set was an expensive leather recliner. The back had a very visible crease in it. When I called I was told it would work out in time... it never did. The third time I bought custom chairs and loveseat. The sales lady kept in constant contact to get me in the store. After delivery one recliner would not stay flat. I contacted the sales lady and she told me to call service. I did and was made to feel like I was bothering them for such a simple thing. The sales lady never followed up to see if everything was ok. The pre sale contact and post sale contact left a sour taste in my mouth after each purchase. I will not be back...

    Eight years ago I bought a couch and two reclining chairs from La-Z-Boy and I love the quality of the furniture. It's a little pricey but it's what you have to pay for the quality. The couch is a cranberry color and it has held the color beautifully which other furniture I've had haven't done. Also the material seems to be very durable.     Our living room is full of La-Z-Boys. We have two chairs that are 13 years old, a couch and another two chairs that we purchased from somebody who was getting rid of them. We like La-Z-Boy products very much and we're definitely sold on them. They last forever and as long as we take care of them, they look the day we bought them. We also have a recliner that we purchased for my husband for Father's Day. He had a very huge chair and it was nice but he didn't need that big of a chair and it's not a La-Z-Boy. It also curved his neck and back as opposed to giving him the right support. He kept stuffing pillows in it to get it right but it wasn't happening. So we looked for something more compact and not as huge as that one.

    I went in the La-Z-Boy store and wanted to peek around to see what they had. I told the sales representatives what the situation was and what I was looking for. She said she got just the thing and showed me their selection. At first, I was looking at the plain ones then she showed me the chair with the lumbar and the headrest. I thought it was cool then she gave me her card. I went back after three weeks later with my husband because I was not going to buy anything without him. He tried it out and he liked it too. The lumbar and the headrest had the mobility to be able to personalize his comfort level and that was the selling point. He has back problems and he needs to be able to adjust and readjust it.     Purchased a La-Z-Boy powered recliner in May of this year and the powered lift scissors on the Foot and leg rest broke. The scissors mechanism looks to be very light duty and has no reinforcement for side ways movement and uses light duty flat metal in the foot rest scissors. The recliner was used for just a foot rest and no other weight was put on it. The foot rest seems to have a weak point in a pivot point where the flat metal buckles side ways. Having a time returning it to the dealer and getting it repaired.

    La-Z-Boy's reputation led us to purchasing our recliners from them. The sales people were attentive but they kept their distance and let us play around and feel the different chairs. The delivery crew explained a few things and put the chairs right where we wanted them. My wife got a recliner rocker and she’s still trying to get used to the mechanisms. Sometimes, as she gets out of the chair, it makes a loud banging noise. We’ll give it a bit more time then maybe well have somebody check it out. Overall, I’m fine with the quality.     We purchased a 100% leather Reclining Loveseat less than four years ago. We are a senior couple with no pets and do not smoke. The Loveseat is not exposed to direct sunlight and there are no children in the house abusing the furniture. One side has spots on the back and arm that are fading/losing the color. We purchased 100% leather from La-Z-Boy because we were told it would last us for many years. It is very infuriating that it hasn't lasted even four years! It seems to me that this particular piece of leather was flawed and I find it disappointing to say the least that La-Z-Boy won't stand behind their product.

    I realize that your warranty for leather is just one year, however I feel this instance is an exception. At the least you could pay for a repair man to come repair the Loveseat if you're not willing to replace it or take it back. I did go to the dealer I purchased it from (I still have my receipt) and they said they couldn't do anything for me and to contact customer care. I did so and all I received was an email quoting the one year warranty. I will never purchase anything from La-Z-Boy again and certainly would never recommend it either. In fact I will make a point of discouraging friends and family from purchasing from La-Z-Boy.

    I have tried to resolve an issue with a recliner for 2 months now. After 6 weeks of ownership, the seat and back have sunk to where I am sitting in holes. I have been given numerous run arounds, been lied to by customer service, completely unable to get a return phone call from anyone in a supervisory position, even after being promised calls. This is absolutely the worst customer service from a company I have ever seen or heard of.     We're used to the quality of La-Z-Boy products and they have one of the few chairs that have a higher back for my 6'5" frame. We got from them a couch and a chair 10 years ago and we’re still using them. They’re starting to show some wear and tear, but not too bad. Then we got a recliner six months ago and it's holding up well, very comfortable and seems to be what we wanted. My wife says I should send it back because it’s too comfy that I fall asleep and snore.

    But I'm very surprised with the way they charge extra $80 for a skirt, a one by three or five feet, to make the chair look presentable in the back. I think it's vinyl and not leather. This should have come with the chair in the first place. Except for that, overall, I got the quality and service I expected from La-Z-Boy. The young lady and gentleman from La-Z-Boy who helped me were very nice. They gave me the different options they had on the memory foam versus a regular foam. The delivery team was also great. They came in when they said they would and they delivered the chair quickly, set everything up and they were out the door.

    My first experience in Evansville, IN was a disaster and I was going to a local store to shop, but my sister who lives in Wildwood, MO insisted that I come up there and go to the La-Z-Boy store in Manchester and before I knew it I had bought a Rowan Reclina-Way Recliner. Sam ** was just exceptional. He practically greeted me and my mom and sister at the door and when I told him what I wanted, he took me right to it. Well, first I sat in a Rowan that was up front, but it wasn't in leather, even though it felt like it, but I loved it.

    My mom sat in it and said just wait until you sit in the real leather one. Sam agreed and off we went. When I sat in that chair I knew it was the one. It fit me perfectly. Sam answered every question I asked and he was very patient, informative and most of all not pushy. I was extremely impressed with him and he was the reason I bought the chair - well, actually my mother did. She bought my sister's and she wanted to buy mine for me. I think this store is outstanding and I wish the one in Evansville, IN was like this one, but it is not. What a wonderful experience the Manchester Store was!

    I usually get my furniture in cloth upholstery, but my sister's Rowan's material is not holding up well at all. I think this is something you should check into because she was told the warranty didn't apply because it wasn't wearing well. She has no little children and she is usually the only one who sits in it. It was showing signs of wear before it was a year old. That was one reason I didn't look at this model in cloth, but I love the leather and may switch all my furniture in the future to leather. I have two La-Z-Boy recliners in material and they are several years old and have held up wonderfully.

    We ordered a rug for our old house. We have since moved from that house and state and we have been told that the rug, which has still not been made, cannot be shipped to our new residence in another state. We have to return to the place we ordered it, load it into some rental truck and get it there ourselves. Nor can we cancel the order. We were told that each store is independent.     This is an addition to a post I made on September 9, 2015. La-Z-Boy did bring us another sofa at the end of September after I posted on this site. Now less than 2 years later, the side one of the cushions has small tears from the seam down. I contacted the Ultra Shield Warranty which we purchased at the time we bought the sofa. I told them the truth that I wasn't sure what caused the damage but that in cleaning I had found a fork between the two cushions. I hadn't seen it happen so I wasn't sure. I sent them photos and of course, it's not something they cover. So I reached out to La-Z-boy and they offered to fix it for almost $600.00. This chair has been used the equivalent of around 14 months because my husband and I travel so much we aren't home to sit in it. We have no pets, no children. Just the two of us sit on this reclining sofa. We just had physicals and neither of us is overweight according to our Dr.

    This Power Motion Sofa has been the biggest disappointment. It is very easy to see that this chair has not been abused in any way. I would certainly have expected better quality from such an expensive leather sofa. Just wanted to share the additional information in case it might help others. My advice would be buy a cheaper manufacturer and when that it wears out, donate it and buy another one. You'll still be ahead of the game. The quality in workmanship and materials is certainly not worth the price paid. As I said in my earlier post, I wish I could turn back the hands of time and have my old recliner sofa back and be rid of this new one. Hope others have better luck than me. In fairness, they did call this afternoon and offer to cut the price in half. As I told the nice young woman I spoke with, I am not interested in spending another dime with anything to do with La-Z-Boy.

    1/2016 I bought La-Z-Boy Astor chair from Smith Village in jacobus, pa. 3/2017 this chair was falling apart. La-Z-Boy sent representative who agreed. Parts free labor 400 dollars. La-Z-Boy agreed to pay half. Now 7/2017 this chair has collapsed and material is separating in several places. I am having knee replacement next month and this chair will be useless, please help. La-Z-Boy company has this information.

    We had a second home that we had to furnish so we got La-Z-Boy. The sales rep Andrea was great at the store and Diana was a good help in following through with keeping us posted on things. The delivery team was fine. We were out there at the new place for a week, scheduled our trip, moved the dates of our trip to accommodate the delivery, but got very disappointed for not getting everything because now we have to cancel another trip. The desk got damaged and I'm glad they didn’t deliver that because these things happen. The experiences are really good except for that which was super inconvenient to the point where it tarnished the overall experience because of our situation. If we were in the house it would have been ideal to wait another six weeks for a piece of furniture that we were expecting, but now we have to schedule a special trip.

    I'll be able to go up there to receive delivery but my wife, who won't be able to visit the place for another six months, was hoping to enjoy all the furniture prior to this stuff. We're only two days with the pieces that were delivered, but the quality of the furniture was great. I'm not trying to be too cynical here, but the quality appears to be good and it's supposed to be because it's brand new. My experience in life is that I know the quality of things usually after a duration of time especially with what you consider durable. The experience isn't over yet. I could say it's great now and then get there and it happens again. I’m a school teacher and I would tell my students the same thing: I can't give you a grade until you finish it.

    Just purchased a new reclining couch at the Clearwater store. Loved the couch I selected in the store. Boy what a difference in the one that was delivered. Hard as a rock and so high my feet don't even touch the floor. Sales personnel were cordial when I went to the store to see what could be done, but had to wait for a call from the manager to resolve the issue. Finally got a call yesterday. Only comment he kept repeating was "It's a custom order and we can't do anything". It's a brown couch --- nothing that would keep them from putting the couch on the sales floor and my selecting something from current stock that would be softer and comfortable. If considering a purchase there, might want to buy something from the floor so that you know what you're getting.

    Less than 5 years ago we purchased a leather motion couch and loveseat recliners. The material has faded and worn away so much, despite our being 2 adults, not abusing the furniture, that our local consignment store would not even take them, stating "too worn." Additioning the ergo support disappeared and we each felt like we were sitting in a hole.     The gentleman from La-Z-Boy was very nice when he came out to look at the pieces that I ordered for my sofa. There is one piece that he has to have remade and that will take a couple of weeks. But he said he wasn't sure about the other piece that I was concerned about, but that he would watch it. I'm not happy with that piece and I really would like it to be remade too. This is not my first La-Z-Boy and when I order something brand new, I know what it should look and feel like. I'll be patient but I really don't like having to fix and adjust the lounge because it's wrinkly every time I get up off it. At the store in Boardman, Steven and Kaitlyn have been phenomenal and I've been back in there looking at some other items. I just want them to make sure that they fix my concerns but I'm satisfied overall.

    We are experiencing a very bad customer service treatment from La-Z-Boy. Waited a month for our sectional to be delivered by some unprofessional delivery company. We got so frustrated watching the 2 guys trying to move downstairs, we asked them to unstuck the piece from the stairs and leave it in the garage and we will move it into the family room ourselves. We did what the delivery company could not do. During that process, they managed to damage the sectional and our wall. The earliest date for someone to exam the damages was 2 weeks later. He took bunch of pictures on Friday and said, "Someone should call you by Wednesday." I called the following Friday and wanted to know the state of my case. Basically, they talked to the moving company and was told they left the sectional in perfect condition, damages were done by the customer.

    This is how a national company treat their customers!!! They will believe the delivery people vs their customer. I regret I did not take any pictures before they left because I gave La-Z-Boy the benefit of doubt that they would take care of any problems I would have with my purchase. Funny the other piece the delivery company did not try to move, have no damages, only the piece they tried to force downstairs.     I had other issues with the store when I went to look at the piece. The item was on sale for Memorial holiday and no one knew which style was on sale. I went back the next day with the newspaper ad and when they finally figured out the style and price etc, the piece were not in stock after I paid for it. Of course I had to wait a few days before someone called to let me know when the sectional will be available. The factory ran out of the fabric and it will not be available til early July.

    You would think when the company put something on sale for Memorial Day, the staff would know what is on sale and the product will be in stock. I had to wait a month (July 3) to have it delivered. I should of cancel the whole nightmare then I was told they would take care of me. The Another 2 weeks before the tech can come in to exam the damages. They took care of me alright, $2,000. Lastly, there were a little bit of color discrepancy because the sectionals are not from the same fabric lot. I am sorry to say the sectional is not even that comfortable to sit in. I JUST WANT TO SCREAM!!!

    I have been a loyal La Z Boy customer for 25 years. I buy for the Quality and warranty. This is apparently a mistake. After years of good products I have a set that I purchased in Jan 2016 and it has broken twice. I am now told that the 10 year warranty La Z Boy advertises is really only 1 year. After that it is parts only. I am letting everyone on social media know to beware!!!

    Approximately two weeks ago we went in because we are redoing our living room/kitchen. We are replacing our current La-Z-Boy furniture. We scheduled your design team to come out and we had a week two weeks for them to come out because they said they were too busy. They were supposed to be here today at 10 AM. I got a call about 8 o'clock last night saying that something more important came up and I have to call the store to reschedule. Not only are we not going to store to reschedule, we are not going to buy La-Z-Boy furniture and I'm going to put this on every social media site I can find. This is horrible customer service. You do you succeeded in failure... Congratulations.

    Our couches were old. I was looking around and found that La-Z-Boy has the best quality and value for the money, plus Sue, their sales rep, was great and very patient. I went in there for four or five times before I finally decided on what I wanted. I love its quality and I actually got two couches there.

    Approximately 10 months ago, foam dust was coming out of the arms of both of my recliners. Also the padding on back went flat. I have had 4 people to evaluate and repair chairs. The chairs are lopsided and pops when raised and lowered. They each said they will be back. Each time they would come back I would have to wait the whole day and one time no call no show. Enough is enough. I would like a full refund or new high quality chairs. I'm not that old. Don't try to wait me out. I bought my chairs at Bakersfield store on Ming. They have my information. Too many companies have worked on my chairs. All say they would be back in a few weeks because they had to order parts then they don't show up. We call the Ming store and they send new company here and we start all over again. Surely someone needs to follow up on this. Very dissatisfied customer.

    La-Z-Boy recliner rocker flaw. I've had to replace the bracket that catches the teeth on the foot rest three times because the tin catch bracket keeps breaking off. This is something that I feel should be rectified. I'm I the only one experiencing this problem? I doubt it!

    I contacted the store where I bought the recliner and they sent you pictures of the pilling. They said you aren't going to do anything about it and I need to "shave" it a few times and it will be ok. I got it last December and it looks like it is ten years old. I am just not happy with it at all for the price I paid for it. I bought a much cheaper chair at the same time and it looks great. I replaced 2 La-Z-Boy leather recliners that I had for 18 years and they looked like new yet. I gave them to my granddaughter and she laughs how that hers look better than my new one does. I am just not happy at all with the quality of this chair. I feel bad for the furniture store that sold it to me because you won't stand behind your product. I won't bother to send images because you already got them from the furniture store.
