We ordered a couch in November of 2017. It was delivered in late December. It had damage to the back panel. Called Service at 214-631-1813, was routed to Valerie (M through Z). She sent a furniture repair man to the house to do an assessment. He left with no instructions. A package with repair materials arrived at the house with no instructions. I called Valerie back a few months later asking what the next step was, she indicated that "I was supposed to call when the materials were received." I had no knowledge of this and as this is not a primary residence but where my senior mom lives. Anyway Valerie indicated she would send this to scheduling. I heard nothing.
I called to 9/24, left a voicemail again. Valerie called back, in my voicemail I was clear that I was frustrated. She called without looking into the details so I had to talk her through the story again. She said she is letting scheduling know and that I would hear back in 48 hours. I told her this was the most frustrating experience I have ever had with purchasing something of value and asked if there was anyone I can escalate this to? She replied No, that I could go to www.la-z-boy.com.
Wow - I am so upset. I wish I could send the couch back and get my money back. So now I am at the mercy of waiting 48 hours for scheduling to call me back and my only recourse is to call Valerie who has failed to get the new couch repaired in nine months...this was a couch bought after my mother's house was flooded in Hurricane Harvey. We have rebuilt the house from the studs up in less time than it has taken to get this couch repaired. My complaint is that there is NO ESCALATION or review process on the completion of service order!!! She indicated that there were calls to my phone with no answer, I have checked my call log and voicemail and have found no calls from the Dallas number or voicemails. Any recommendations?

I purchased this recliner from store that is closed now and no help is offered. The recliner is made in colored leather and the pieces my hands and back of my head have discoloring to the leather. I did not purchased the warranty for leather, but was told this would not have been covered anyway. I was thinking of trying to dye the leather myself and even if I ruin it I do not care as it is ruined already. There are other things bad with this chair but the main thing was discoloring of leather. I do not use hair products or hand lotions as they stated this was my problem. I would never buy any item from La-Z-Boy as they do not back the items they sell.

I purchased a La Z Boy double reclining sofa four years ago. About 1 year ago I complained to the store from which I purchased it that the “Renew” leather was peeling where the seams meet. Since then the seats have begun to crack and peel. 4 years is a rather short time in a pricey piece of furniture’s life to be looking shoddy. This sofa has been used by adults only.
I was told that coverings are not part of the warranty and I could call La Z Boy and see what they would say. They said they could send someone out, at my cost, to see if anything could be done. It is quite obvious that the only remedy would be replacement. I know they will say it is not something they will replace for free. I refuse to have it replaced with the same crap that is Renew. The stores that sell this junk should be less aggressive in their support of such an inferior product. I will never buy La Z Boy just because they sell such junk, which is a shame because the bones of the sofa are still good. If anyone from La Z Boy wants to reach out and make this right, go for it!

Purchased a recliner in late 1999. Mechanism broke in Jan 2018, dealer charged $250 to repair. Broken again in August. Want another $250 to repair. Escalated to Corp. They refuse to warranty, offer $200 voucher on new chair. Lifetime warranty does not seem to be for a lifetime. I will not buy another La-Z-Boy.

Less than 18 mos old, 2 Laurel sofas purchased from La-Z-Boy Gallery are coming around at the seems of the attached back cushions. I purchased the 5 year protection plan on both pieces. La-Z-Boy is saying this is out of warranty and the extended protection is on the fabric to cover stains, etc. Clearly this fabric did not stand up well and shouldn't have been used on this sofa, but besides wanting to charge me $130 to come look at what can be done, they hung up on me when I wanted to speak to a manager. I loved supporting an American Company, but now I will tell everyone I know to stay away from La-Z-Boy as they don't back up anything other than the mechanics of the furniture. There aren't many mechanical pieces on a sofa. Hugely disappointed.

Some of the WORST furniture I have ever bought. Within 1 year, there was NO support on the coach & recliner cushions (they are flat, and we are small people that use it), the foam came disconnected from within the fabric on the recliner and staples are poking out of the fabric, the fabric is poor quality and is forming into little hard balls because it's wearing away. For a 5 year old $3800 purchase, I expect a little better wear than this. HORRIBLE.

I have 2 La-Z-Boy recliners, 6 years old. 08/2018. It took countless tries to get thru to customer service. Better than most, I eventually got thru. Told 1 hour labor fee $109+tax to start and $12.99 for part freight. Set appointment and paid fees. Tech. showed up for 3 minutes to verify actual part indicated was broken. Took photo and left. I could have done that. Parts arrived promptly. Received call: est. would be 2 hours labor. Tried numerous times to schedule service. Could never get thru.
Finally, self installed in 70 minutes (not what I do for a living) How could tech take 2 hours? Padding bill? Could never get thru to customer service. Customer service never responded to multiple online complaints. Weeks later, never heard from technician or store in Brookfield. Called corporate; finally got thru and after a heated debate indicating failed service, failed follow up, bill padding. Promised to post comments and contact BBB. Got a refund for labor. Points: Quality not like it used to be. Hope you never need to reach customer service. Hope you never need warranty service. If you do, be prepared to pay for overpriced services never rendered.

This is not some rant - this post is to get the attention of La-Z-Boy corporate and the 900,000+ followers of this page! Our family was a REPEAT CUSTOMER of the brand. We were absolute fans of the quality, but not now. Our last purchase can't hold a candle to the prior sectionals that we bought. We were so pleased with our first set (more than 15 years ago) that our daughter still loves it. It is in better shape than the set from just a few years ago. We tried contacting both Corporate and the dealer, but they didnt want to hear us. Our appeal is to potential customers to be very wary of the changes in quality. It is not the same! If I can appeal to 5, 10, or 100+ potential customers, maybe they'll change something. Please share your thoughts!

Right now I have to sit on a cushion to try to relieve the awful pain I have in my lower back. I am 82 and would like to be comfortable. Have talked to supervisor and been told there is nothing they can do. Please help me. Thank you.

Ordered sofa and loveseat 4/17/2018. I called on May 18 when the furniture was delivered. The delivery men damaged the legs to the sofa. Chunks are knocked off the legs. I kept the pieces. When I called Nisha said Connie would have to order the legs, and the delivery guys did log the damage. I called several times (all logged). I finally called corporate on August 16th, or at least they said it was. Trisha told me the legs are still back ordered from overseas. (Thought everything was USA made). Trisha would make sure I was kept informed on a weekly basis of the progress. I have never heard from anyone. Today we received the legs in the mail. They are not the right ones! They are square and ours are rounded. This is terrible service. Please take care of this.

Couch was delivered about two hours ago, had to call customer service to tell them to come pick it up. The smell is overwhelming- I can taste it. Spoke to Moses at the customer service number and he is working on it. I am so disappointed. The couch is gorgeous and super comfortable but after sitting on it for about 20 minutes, I can't breathe. For a couch in this price point, one would assume you would not be using toxic materials. Googled the issue and found numerous complaints on the matter, stating that the smell does NOT go away. I'm going to have to go to another store- I did not have this problem with the couch I bought from Jordan's furniture. There are complaints about this going back to 2016 so clearly this is an ongoing issue that you're not addressing. Again- so disappointed.

We went in to the La-Z-Boy Furniture store to buy a couch and love seat. We wanted quality so we purchase all leather including the back etc. We had to order the Furniture. It came in the middle of a move to a new house so we had it delivered to our old house. It all seemed fine until we got it home to our new house and found that the Furniture didn't sit like the one in the showroom. We called the office and were told that they were sorry but we should have read the purchase order, It says you only have 3 days to reject it. The lady was very sorry but we will have to live with it?? The couch has better stuffing than the love seat. Well we will start shopping for some quality furniture as soon as we can and get rid of our $10,000 La-Z-Boy (Mistake). Very poor customer service and frankly the quality of the furniture is sub-par.

We bought a sectional, about 3 years ago. We also bought an extended 5 year warranty. The extended warranty isn't from La-Z-Boy. It is through Ultra Shield. We spent over $5000 on this furniture. The stuffing in the furniture has worn down, and the sectional is uncomfortable....you can feel a wooden block through the side of the recliner. I've had cheaper furniture that lasted longer than this. This is NOT covered under the 5 year extended warranty. I have some stains, that I thought maybe they could help with. I haven't been able to get the stains out. You have to report the stains within 5 days of the occurrence(s), so that's not covered.
The extra warranty sucks, and I told Ultra Shield that. Don't bother purchasing it. I will never buy La-Z-Boy furniture as it wears down too quickly, for the price. Again, I've had cheaper furniture that lasted longer than this...and, cleaned up nicely. I will NOT recommend this furniture to anyone either. We only sit on it, in the evenings and weekends (when we are home). So, it's not like we sit on it 24/7 either.

I ordered a Maverick Leather power sofa back in June of 2018. The salesperson and all involved in my purchase are stellar! Excellent marks in sales, details, color selection and attention to detail. Where things went very bad was in delivery. My sofa arrived with punctures and tears covered up with touch-up paint! Really? It looked like my sofa was someone else's reject, and I would be satisfied with it. I have made 5 La-Z-Boy purchases before, and all were a pleasant experience. This delivery was a disaster. I went to my La-Z-Boy store and they are doing everything they can to make sure this never happens again. A brand new sofa is being ordered and followed through with all necessary details for me and their store. Again, I want to be VERY clear...salesperson, store and manager are wonderful! This time the product was totally unacceptable.

I bought this chair for $804 including delivery. After I rearranged my furniture a month or so after it had arrived (it arrived on June 14, 2018) I noticed a serious fabric defect, a roll of fabric where there should not be any. I called for service. A person came in early August, looked at it and remarked "I do not know how it got out of the factory like this." He said he would send for some fabric, come back and reupholster it. I was not happy about this. When you buy a new chair it should not need repair.
It is now September 5th. The arm of the chair in a box has been sitting in my dining room now for more than a week. No information or contact from La-Z-Boy. In addition it appears that the other arm is separating from the body of the chair. I believe this was and is a defective chair. I bought the five year warranty, but the last thing I want is constant repairs. I received an email today telling me to call to finally have the arm replaced. When your service man was here a month a go I asked him who I should call when the replacement arrived (he said it would be upholstery fabric, it is not, it is a large box with an entire new chair arm). He said not to worry that customer service would call him when they got word from the carrier it arrived. The number they gave me in the email is not in service. Your customer service needs a serious overhaul. I want this chair replaced, not repaired.

Went to a La-Z-Boy furniture store to purchase a new couch and chair because we wanted quality furniture. We waited 6 weeks for it to be delivered and it was absolutely horrible. Material was sagging, lines were not straight, pillows were crooked, and the fill did not come close to the corners. We reported it, and then waited 3 weeks for anyone to come out. When the guy that came out saw it, he said that it was sub-standard and that we would likely receive an in-store credit or the option to have the existing furniture fixed. He said we would hear back within the week.
2 weeks later we began calling to try to find out what was going on. After several calls (they don't take your calls live, but instead let everything go to voicemail), the manager called back and left a message that he was sorry, but we were outside of the time limit that they could do anything, so we would just have to keep the substandard furniture that they produced. He also lied about the delivery date, citing a date about 2 weeks after we ordered it, but a month before it was delivered. We have had success with La-Z-Boy in the past, but this was just horrible.

I had always enjoyed great quality with pieces purchased at La-Z-Boy. Their sales staff were helpful (Greenville, SC Store). I bought a double reclining leather sofa - custom ordered red. I spent a lot more than intended, but I figured this would last a very long time. I bought the warranty. I have had this leather sofa less than 2 years, and it is horribly cracked and peeled. The leather is literally peeling away from the fabric - which is what happens when you buy the cheap leatherette or bonded leather. So, I called to initiate my warranty. Cracking and peeling is not covered. They only cover if you knife or burn, but poor quality on their part is not covered under the warranty. I'm very disappointed. I should mention, we are light on the sofa. I work a lot so it is truly lightly used. I don't know if they changed their quality on everything, but buyer beware their leather is pure garbage.

We purchased two large oversized recliners exactly the same. Within a few months both of the backs have a piece of wood that broke in the exact same place. The one used by my husband broke first and mine broke shortly thereafter. My husband weighs 175 and I weigh 150 so I don't think weight was a factor. I called several times and left voicemail for their customer service person. She never answered her phone and never returned my call. This was done within a year of purchasing. In the past we had a lazy boy that lasted 36 years and it was still pretty good when my son sold it. Now the quality and workmanship is extremely poor as is their customer service. I would never recommend or purchase their products again. In addition these are the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever used. You must insert a cushion behind your back as these sink in so far they really hurt your back.

I purchased a Charlotte 7-piece set, including matching chase and end-tables. Within a 3-year period I noticed the resin weave side and chair backing materials starting to crack on all the pieces. I was not worried at first, thinking that the 7-year warranty would take care of it, but to my great disappointment, I was told the resing weave was only warranted for one-year! I made my purchase decision based on the prestige of the name-brand and the years of service myself and family had enjoyed in the past with La-Z-Boy products. The product tags on individual pieces prominently advertising the 7-year warranty and claims of "all weather resin weave..." certainly fooled me.
I think this advertising was very deceptive. In my case, Within a 3-year period the resin completely lost integrity, which created a safety hazard as the weave abruptly gave away from the cushion back as you lean against it. My daughter fell through it as she was leaning back on the chair, luckily she landed on the cushion as she projectiled though it! I'm very disappointed with this product and the fact that the company has not even tried to acknowledge this material defect.

La-Z-Boy will not help you with your issues either, they are very happy to pass the buck and will not honor anything at all that you were told by the lovely and personable salesperson. Ultra Shield came out three times, or their tech did, to clean my chair that had a stain covered by the warranty.
First time: Tech walked in, took pictures and left. We never heard back. Two weeks later we called, a second tech came out with a spray bottle he purchased at our local Lowe's, per his own admission. He sprayed the stain, scrubbed, said the material was defective and we would get a new back for the chair. Then we heard nothing for weeks, so we called again. Third time, tech came out with a different cleaner, poured scalding water all over the chair, sprayed from his Lowe's bottle and again said the chair would not be repairable, fabric was defective and we would get a new back. Never heard from them again.

I order my $3000 sectional on July 4th and had a great in-store experience. Since then, my experience has gone from disappointing to devasting. My original order said the couch would be delivered in 4-6 weeks. 5 weeks after I placed my order I called La-Z-Boy and they told me the couch would arrive AUGUST 27 and I might have it by SEPTEMBER. I called my original store back and spoke with the manager (by the way, there is no escalation calls at La-Z-Boy, the store manager is the top of the ladder) and he was able to get the couch shipped from Tennessee on August 13th. Another sales rep called me that same week and said it would be another 10 days and they could send me a loaner. I eventually got my couch on August 23. What bothered me the most is that no one notified me that the couch would be arriving 7 weeks, and possibly 9 weeks, after I placed me order. If I hadn't called on a daily basis, I would still be waiting two more weeks.
Oh, and the couch arrived broken. The couch was delivered on Thursday, I called three times on Friday regarding service to the furniture and the service tech dispatcher finally called at 6pm that day only to tell me that the next available appointment to have someone "assess" the damage was another week. I requested a morning only appointment only to have an automated message call me two days prior to tell me the tech would be here between 4:30-6:30 pm. I called the service line back to request (again) a morning service and she told me that it was impossible to reschedule for that day and if I wanted a morning appointment, I'd have to wait another week. I did receive a shipping and delivery charge refund but no amount of money can compensate me for the stress, aggravation, and inconvenience this company has caused. Stay away from La-Z-Boy. It’s evident that La-Z-Boy’s material quality has deteriorated; which explains why La-Z-Boy only offers a one year warranty on leather. Don't fool yourself into thinking there will be some dependability associated with a national name like La-Z-Boy. My bad experience started when I arrived at the Rockville La-Z-Boy store at 5:55 pm on a weeknight to purchase 2 recliners, and was immediately "greeted" inside by an unfriendly representation telling me the store was closed. Despite the fact that the store door and website both said closing time was 9 pm not 6 pm -- and despite my having driven an hour to get there. Later I went to the VA La-Z-Boy store and literally spent 10x the normal cost on recliners (e.g. spent thousands of dollars more to buy cloth La-Z-Boys on sale --instead of the hundreds I could have spent to have 2 nice leather recliners from any local retailer that would have delivered immediately -- because I thought the La-Z-Boy brand would last longer). Took 2 months to receive the chairs.
Upon receipt the first chair made a clicking sound but the delivery man said nothing was wrong with it. Within 5 months plastic pieces fell from the bottom of the chair when reclined. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to answer the La-Z-Boy service phone, we waited a month for a serviceman to come. Waited another week after that for the part. Now am waiting for another month for the part installation appointment -- on a chair that was less than 5 months old. Even though I was polite the phone agent disconnected me & other dissatisfied customers from their "satisfaction survey" so their ratings will look artificially higher. I wish I had saved thousands and bought a reliable recliner from a store that cares about quality and service. I also spend hundreds buying the extra chair warranties -- but wonder if the company will even remain in business long enough to use them given the way that business functions.

Bought a recliner two and a half years ago under the impression that La-Z-Boy continued to be a quality company. We contacted them for a warranty repair as the leather is splitting its discoloring and is torn by where the frame is from the wood underneath. In addition, the stuffing is coming out. We were informed that nothing was covered and they couldn't even replace the leather at a cost to us because they no longer make that color. I have a leather sofa and loveseat that are almost 20 years old that's still look great and have not have any of these problems. Best to stay away from this company if you're looking for a quality product.

Thank you La-Z-Boy!!! Last week after almost 16 years, my trusty chair fell completely apart. This is no ordinary chair. Because of my health conditions, I live in my chair - I sleep, eat, watch TV and read in my chair. The only time I am not in that chair is when I am on the computer and here in my desk chair or the other all important bathroom throne. These last few days have been awful as I have played Goldilocks trying to find a comfortable solution until the repair guy could get here.
Today was that glorious day! Within an hour, he had diagnosed the problem and had replaced almost all the moving parts and had added springs to the back that had broken earlier. Thank GOD, La-Z-Boy has a lifetime warranty on their framework and moving parts. I did have to pay $140.00 - $80.00 for the house call and $60.00 for the labor. It was well worth the cost as otherwise I was looking at close to $1,000.00 that I don't have to replace the chair or more than that in a monthly rental for a hospital bed that would have taken up most of my living room and wouldn't have been as comfortable. So thank you GOD for this wonderful gift I got today. Now, maybe I can sleep tonight and get my back to stop hurting.

Recently we called our Local La-Z-Boy dealer to have our sofa serviced as it has a lifetime warranty on the mechanism. It doesn’t because while the parts are warrantied they charge you $100 for service each time. Also the fabric or leather is not covered even if it is defective because the covering is not made by La-Z-Boy as my in-laws discovered. So the long and short of it is don’t believe their salespeople. The products are NOT warrantied for life. Oh and this is what is in their so called limited LIFETIME Warranty. "La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture’s sole obligation shall be to repair any defective product or product component covered under this warranty, including shipping and labor, during the warranty period." I think they missed the word LABOR when they interpreted their warranty.

I turned in a claim and was rejected. It did not cover wear. Very upset and will never buy from them again although we bought a loveseat from them in FL, no issues so far. I did not buy the real leather because we hardly use the furniture. We paid a lot of money and we are very disappointed. Shop around before you buy!

We bought a leather La-Z-Boy recliner and the additional coverage on the chair due to its high price and electrical components. The seat is showing wear with normal use after only a couple of years. When I contacted comfort care they said the chair was showing excessive wear due to friction and the cost of replacing the seat would be over $600. The additional coverage appears to be just a way to generated revenue not to help customer. I would also say that the quality of the La-Z-Boy chairs is definitely declining and that's not our first.

I purchased a La-Z-Boy Leighton leather sectional on 4/27/18 which cost $9600.00. It took 3 months to arrive & it is beautiful. Unfortunately, the latch broke on the connection on one of the sofa sides. The first available appointment for the repair team to come out will take 3 weeks and they don't do weekends, so I'll need to take a day off from work to wait for their arrival. Also, they may need to take it away for the fix. Wonder how many months that will take. Also, don't call customer service 6 minutes before closing time, they're already gone. One-star rating for the 3 month wait, the break in 1 week, & the inflexibility to have weekend appointments.

After having other recliners that were a lot less money, that lasted for at least 8 years, we decided to purchase a La-Z-Boy recliner. My husband sat in every chair in the store to find the right one for him. It was quite expensive and after 3 months The Rocker assembly and the leather on the side started breaking. The repairman told us that this is what happens with La-Z-Boy and you can't sit in them for more than 2 hours a day. What kind of hooey is that?
I have been waiting since June for my part that finally got here. I am so frustrated that I tried to speak to someone about getting my money back. I know they will never repair the chair properly and I wasted my money. They will be out at the end of August to finally attempt to fix it and I'll have to miss another day of work. Never I repeat never will I ever purchase another La-Z-Boy product ever and I wish I had read the reviews first. Obviously they don't care about this at all because it's like they reading from a script. There is no compassion or human interaction with these people. It's very obvious they have these problems quite often. Do not buy La-Z-Boy products.

Back in November of 2017 my spouse and I went to buy furniture, it was our first time at any La-Z-Boy store, and we both liked the product we tested on the showroom floor. We sat down with a salesman and placed the order, we were assured that the leather we picked was in stock, and then it would take 45 days to build the furniture and have it shipped to the distribution center in Atlanta. Well 14 days after we placed the order the salesman calls to say that the leather we picked that he assured was in stock was out of stock and that we would need to pick another leather. So the one we picked was an upgrade and it was no additional cost, good thing the cost was already high.
So 45 days go by, we're now at over 60 days since placing the original order, and we get a call that our furniture was ready so a delivery date was set up, the furniture arrives and it was not the one we ordered, it was a different style, leather was all wrong. Basically nothing was right. A call was placed to the store where someone said that the salesman that we placed the order from was off today but that he would send our concern to the district office. Well after several calls the district manager, a guy who identified himself as Daniel said he was going to make it right, and placed the order. This is now that third order for the furniture we wanted. Now we have to wait another 45 days so we're on the calendar for over 100 days since the original order was placed.
So 45 days later the call comes in that the furniture was ready, a date was scheduled and the correct style was delivered, but it didn't have the controls we picked some 145 days ago, so again Daniel was contacted and this time he assured that the order was going to be correct, so now another 45 days and we get a call that it's ready. The date was set and the furniture was delivered. This time it was finally correct, it only took La-Z-Boy over 190 days to get the order correct.
The outcome was correct but something that for the money that was spent on the furniture should have been correct the first time around not 190 days later. I would not recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone, go find the furniture at another store, you will find the same product by the same maker at a lower price, so shame on me for allowing this to go on for so long. This is a buyer beware. And this was my only experience and it will never happen again.

This used to be a great company! I guess they decided that profits were more important than quality and customer service. We paid approx $3,000 for 2 recliners. After less than 2 years we found the cushions "collapsed" and our backs began hurting. Contacted Customer service and were told that WE were at fault for not "servicing" the cushions. Long story short... I fought this and La-Z-Boy gave us a refund to be applied to couches with "memory foam" so this would not happen again. They charged me an extra $1000 for the upgrade. We got the couches and they certainly offer better support. However, they won't recline without using every muscle in your body AND assistance from someone else. We will probably give away these brand new couches and accept our loss of $4,000. Years ago, companies had pride in their products and were concerned about their reputation. This is NOT the same company as it used to be.

In January of last year I purchased a motorized leather recliner from La-Z-Boy on Layton Avenue. The chair was $900 at half price. I also purchased a $140.00 Five year warranty that protected the leather and the “electric motors and mechanisms.” Three weeks ago I pressed the button to raise the leg portion of the chair and heard a terrible grinding noise. The chair jerked to the right with another grinding noise. When I lowered the chair back to a sitting position the grinding continued and I hear a piece of plastic hit the floor. The plastic piece that fell off looked like it covered something. I called La-Z-Boy Comfort Care to ask about my warranty and was told to contact Ultra Shield. They told me to send them a copy of my sales receipt. I had the La-Z-Boy store on Layton Avenue fax the receipt.
On July 31 I got a call back from Ultra Shield telling me my warranty only covered the leather not the motor. It clearly states on the warranty that the motor is covered. I went over to the La-Z-Boy store and they called Ultra Shield who told them the same thing. It seems the receipt had the wrong code listed. After much discussion the Sales Manager at the store said they would confer with Ultra Shield and get back to me. It is now August 4th and I have heard nothing. I am going to take other action like seeing an attorney, contacting the BBB and Social Media as well as Fox Contact 6. As I have never been in this particular store, I have unfortunately done business with this company. My husband and I were easy sales about 3 years ago, as everything in our home was white and not a good mix with kids and dogs! We picked out of new floors. Even opted for the better carpet and have never wished we could go back in time more!!! We felt completely misled by our sales rep as nothing went the way he prepared us for. We had multiple installation problems, installers coming late or not a all for repairs and even one installer who showed up and just simply said he didn't want to do the job so he didn't. I will say after several phone calls and appointments we finally got the carpet and vinyl floors we were completely happy with!
BUT, sadly it did not last. About a year half later the gaping of the poorly installed floors got too much for me to bear and an daily used threshold came off. We called and they did send some installers out to fix that and a couple other issues. BUT, sadly that did not last. About a year later the gaping came back and the same threshold was no longer attached. They had someone come out to inspect our complaints and we got approved for a reinstall. We picked our product and agreed on real painted white wood quarter rounds. We thought everything was straight forward.
Early this month the installers came out, on time, and started working. I checked their work pretty closely given my past experiences and one installer even told me I was "difficult to work for" which really kinda floored me (no pun intended) and I kinda stepped back not wanting any of frustrations taken out on his work. After they leave it looked good and the quarter rounds were white but didn't look like painted wood... My suspicion were confirmed when my 3 year found a scrap piece (of quarter round) and asked me what is was... compressed material with basically a white sticker around it!
I called, complained and it took more than one attempt/message to get Charles the customer service manager out of the Baltimore area not to call me back but actually answer his phone. We started communicating and after a couple phone calls we set a date last to fix those quarter rounds. That day comes, I have my schedule cleared, I have my garage set up with a window ac unit running and fan for my dogs, I have activities for my two kids, we wait the time period and beyond and no one comes and no one shows up. I'm upset.
I call into the call center to complain. (Still from that date on I have not heard back from Charles or anyone else out of the Baltimore office that I have left messages with...) Through the call center I set up a new appointment for the next day. Same scenario, I was like, "Alright. I'll keep the same game plan." We were waiting, schedule clear, home activities planned, dog cool spot set up... and NO CAME AND AGAIN NO CANCELLATION CALL! I called the call center again and they said emails will be sent out and should hear from corporate. I never heard from corporate. I call Baltimore again. Haven't heard back... I call the call center again and was promised that everyone involved was included in the email and everyone in the corporate office she and someone should get back to in 24 hours but it was after hours... I am still waiting... I know feel like I have wasted my money and I know I have wasted my VALUABLE TIME!

It took the full 6 weeks. I have to wonder. Do these people know what year it is? It says online that about half the charge will be taken at the time of the order and the rest upon delivery. They took the whole price all at once. Their "white glove" delivery people came across as fairly rude. When I finally got the seat I was and am very unhappy with the quality of the build. The cloth is not very smooth. Lots of wrinkles and uneven lines across the top of one of the seats.
When I checked into the return policy after only a few hours of having the seat I find you have only 3 days to make a return with a possible 30 percent restocking fee. There will definitely be a 30 percent restocking fee which is a ridiculous several hundred dollars. You can only return for an exchange on another product, not to get a refund of any of your money. We ordered a James sectional from the La-Z-Boy store in Waco, TX, because they did not have the color we needed. However, the sectional we received is nothing like the sectional in the store. The seat cushions are hard and my feet like 4 inches touching the floor. In addition, the back of the cushions are not even along the top and the stitching in the cushions do not match up as they do in the floor model. There is also a discrepancy in the right arm reclining love seat with the recliner sitting back one inch farther than the stationary seat, making the back of the recliner sit farther back and the front of the seat cushion and the stitching not match up.
I have been back to the store three times to sit in and compare the floor model with our sectional, and if the sectional we received had been the floor model I would never have purchased it. It is uncomfortable and ugly. We received the sectional on April 7, 2018, and I have been in contact with the store, customer service, and the corporate office numerous times since and have basically been told that all my complaints are either someone else's responsibility or the differences in the appearance are within the parameters of acceptability by La-Z-Boy.
This sectional is a piece of junk and is nothing like the store model or the La-Z-Boy furniture we have purchased over the past 50 years of marriage. A technician has been to our home two times and taken pictures but no one has ever actually been to the store and sat in the floor model or sat in our sectional to compare. A repair was made to the left reclining love seat which was a cut that was hidden on the bottom of the footrest. Michele **, Customer Service Manager, said they repaired that for free even though the cut might have been made by us. It was obvious this was a cut made by the box cutters the delivery men were using to cut the plastic off the shipping material, but it was hidden from view until the footrest was raised. Regardless, La-Z-Boy did not repair this for free because we purchased the extended warranty which was supposed to cover things such as that.
The bottom line is we ordered a sectional from La-Z-Boy, whom we have known from past purchases to make quality furniture, and we received something that does not compare to their floor model. We are deeply disappointed in the quality and appearance of this sectional and embarrassed to have it in our home for others to sit in. Equally disappointed in the way we have been treated by La-Z-Boy's supposed customer service. You can be sure we will never purchase anything from La-Z-Boy again and are doing our best to let others know that La-Z-Boy is no longer the La-Z-Boy of the past and cannot be trusted to deliver quality, attractive furniture and care nothing about their customer's satisfaction.

We noticed a leg on one of the chairs starting to lean in several months ago, and finally, the chair side gave out. The fault is in the wood frame of the chair itself. The entire bottom piece of the chair frame is busted. Upon calling La-Z-Boy, we were informed it was covered under their lifetime warranty.
However, we would have to pay for a service tech to come to our house to effect repair to the tune of $110... for just the first hour. If he would have to stay longer, we would have to pay for that too. I’m pretty sure a major failure of this chair like we have experienced is not fixable in a hour. So, I ask what good is their so-called lifetime warranty... I’m still paying for it to be fixed! A $400 plus chair, that lasted less than 3 years... Then I am expected to pay another $110 per hour on that same chair... That is one expensive chair! The warranty is a joke; a very sad and dishonest joke. When we weren't able to I was told it was covered under warranty but I had to BRiNG IT IN TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. We were out of the area. Beware... Obviously the quality is not the best and if you do purchase any merchandise from La-Z-Boy you want to make sure that they will come to your home for any repairs.

My wife and I went into the North Olmsted La-Z-Boy, where we picked out a recliner for about $600. When we were checking out, we were told that there was a $50 delivery charge, since it had to come from their warehouse in Columbus and I would be able pick it up from the store as that charge did not include a home delivery. We agreed to pay the delivery charge and the saleswoman that helped us was extremely nice.
I picked it up about a week later and brought it home to realize that the chair was defective. It was smaller than the one we looked at in the store and the cushioning was different. My wife called La-Z-Boy and they said that sometimes it can take up to 15 days for the chair to settle in, however their return policy is only valid for 3 days. We brought the chair in the next day and the salesman agreed that it was a different size than the original chair we had picked out and compared the 2 side by side to confirm that they were different.
The seams were in different spots and the chair we brought back had different cushions. We were given the option to either return it or swap it out for another chair, so I ended up finding a chair that was more expensive than the original. While checking out for the second time, we were told that there was another $50 delivery charge even though we had already paid a delivery fee on the first chair. We asked why we would be paying money for a chair that we are not taking home with us and the salesman called the manager on duty to come speak with us.
The manager on duty came over and offered to help with the exchange on the new chair and commented on the fact that because it was a neutral color and a standard chair that they would have no problem selling it once they put it on the floor. He was looking at the financing for the first chair and told us that he can’t waive the delivery fee but the original salesperson had undercharged us anyways, as if there was no reason as to why we would be complaining about $50. We did the math and figured out that he was incorrect, but he continued to say that there was nothing that they could do.
Out of curiosity, I asked if the person who actually buys the chair would get it for $50 dollars less, and the manager LAUGHED and said that they were going to charge them $100 because it was already in the store. I was thrown off by his demeanor considering he just told me that basically, they were going to not only rip me off, but also rip off the person who actually buys the chair for even more money. I decided to not purchase the second chair and the manager on duty told me that the store manager would call me the next day @ 10 AM to see if there’s anything they can do.
The next day, I received no phone call from the store manager so I decided to call at 12 PM and was told that the manager was busy and that he’d call me back. Three o’clock rolled around and I still had no return call, so I called them back again. He offered to swap out the delivery fees, but after listening to the manager on duty laugh about how they are overcharging people for this chair and the lack of professionalism that I had this entire experience, I decided to not want to buy another chair from them. I told him that I’d rather just have my money back and let him know that I had purchased furniture from them before and most likely will again, I just wasn’t interested in buying from them at the time. He proceeded to tell me that if that was my choice, there was nothing he can do with the fee as that is their policy.
I called La-Z-Boy’s corporate office to explain the story and see if anything could be done and the woman I spoke with was not helpful in the least bit. She showed no concern to what I was saying, not even regarding how the worker or the manager was laughing about charging people more money. She simply said that it was their policy and when I asked if she meant that they were able to charge multiple delivery fees for one chair, she said yes. She stated that the stores make those decisions and corporate stands behind the store’s decisions, even though the store told me that it was corporate’s policy.
We were refunded our money for the chair, but we still haven’t received the delivery fee back. I have called their corporate office, sent an e-mail to them, and responded to their customer service survey that they sent me and have yet to get a call about this bad experience. At this point, it’s not about the $50 dollars, it’s the fact that La-Z-Boy is allowed to withhold fees at their discretion but they can also charge people additional money with no explanation as to why. We are shocked that La-Z-Boy would condone this type of service, especially towards a returning customer.

We bought Big Man's recliner, a smaller recliner and a reclining loveseat. All three have had bolts back out, bushings fall out from the recliner to footrest connection. First time, we took back to store to be repaired. They said we had to haul it back another week as the repairman was gone. Not what they instructed to do on the phone the day before. Then they wanted to charge storage fee if we chose to leave it at the store for repair. So from that point on my husband has gotten pretty good at repairing the mechanisms on a regular basis.
The smaller recliner took to reclining but would not lock into reclining position. The smaller recliner has probably had 60 days of being sat in. I sit in the loveseat and my husband sits in the big recliner. We are two old people with no children. There should not be any reason why the mechanisms don't work on this chair, it's barely been used. The fabric is in good shape but the structure and mechanism is terrible. The back started to feel wobbly. Further inspection we found that the bracket is attached to particle board and it is broken. We feel we were robbed of our hard earned money. Seriously. We thought we were buying quality. I would not recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone.

I purchased 2 chairs from one of the La-Z-Boy galleries in early 2017. The first time was online. When delivered one of the chairs were smaller than the other and I also had paid for chrome handles and they were missing on both chairs and one was shaped funny. I called the company and reported my distress and they informed me there were no refund returns so I would have to come into the gallery and choose new chairs. I went to the gallery and choose 2 new chairs while keeping the 2 I had already purchased. When the chairs arrived one of the chairs had a hole in the stitching and the leather was all twisted and unprofessional which tell me there was no quality check on the build of the chairs. One of the chairs was off the track so when you sat in the chair it wasn't stable. So they suggested I get new chairs since I had paid all that money and the parts they would use to replace the broken would be used.
Lastly I ordered another set of chairs and yes, they were a problem also. I paid for memory foam which was a hundred dollars extra on each chair, and when delivered I found out that one of the chairs did not have memory foam in it and the one that did the chair looked horrible in less than a month, the memory foam had lost its memory. So they came out and ordered new chair parts with a request from me to leave the memory foam out as they had done in the other chair. I waited another month and a half for the part to come in. When the tech arrived the part was not ordered as requested with no memory foam. So now I'm still waiting. It's been over a year dealing with La-Z-Boy to get this right and I'm still waiting.
Now I will give the gallery credit because they did refund my $100 for the chair that was missing the memory foam but that does not excuse the poor service that La-Z-Boy has done in building my recliners and to be truthful I wish I had never ordered any chairs from La-Z-Boy nor would I recommend them to anyone. So hopefully they will get it right cause we are already in the middle of 2018 and I still don't have what I paid over $3000 for a set of recliners.

Reclining would start to feel the same like something was pressing hard against your leg. But my recliner had the best movement. Just slides right with you. You could lean sideways legs over one arm and even after 15 years of use... no holes. Just worn spots. But still the best piece of furniture I own. So comfy, I'd rather sleep on it than my bed!

Buying from La-Z-Boy stores is a nightmare. We bought a sofa and love seat from them that had memory foam. After a year the seam started to split was not covered under warranty. Found out that after we bought it that several months later they stopped using memory foam because they had problems with it. Every time I call I am told they will call back but never do. I went to the store and the manager helped get customer service on the line telling her my claim was denied because they do not cover seems splitting. You pay good money for furniture and get the extra fabric protection and they do not care. Will not call you back say they set up an appointment but no one come. You have to keep calling and calling to see if you could get service. They don’t care about the customer or the product they sell. I am very frustrated with this whole processes.
Updated 07/09/2018: I have been in touch with La-Z-Boy because I was told by the store that there are problems with the memory foam. I did a great mistake and purchased the insurance from them. This insurance does not cover anything. They say it is from normal wear that all the seams are coming apart, and the fabric is stretching so the fabric looks loose on arms. They have offered to give me a discount to fix it with new parts. I do not understand that if there is nothing wrong why would they offer me this with discounts? I think La-Z-Boy is really not standing behind their product. I have had several recliners that are more than a year and a half old that look twice as good as this couch and loveseat. So my advice is do not waste your money on the insurance since they will tell you it is normal wear even if there is a picture.

I purchased not actually a recliner as such but a reclining sofa and love seat. With hindsight I wish I had purchased the power unit instead of the manual but it was a bit more expensive so I didn't. I also decided on leather because of the potential stains that could be generated with fabrics. All in all I guess I am pretty satisfied with what I have. If there is one draw back with my particular set it would be the durability of the set. I have had it now for about 2 and a half years and it is beginning to show signs of wear on the cushions and arms. For $3500 I thought it would have lasted longer.

I have owned these recliners for quite a few years and they look as good today as when I purchased them (matched set). Also needed one worked on and had no problem with getting service. Had to pay only for service call.

Awful!!! Watched the salesperson mess up a sale with all wrong info. Bought 2 La-Z-Boy chairs that are super uncomfortable. Will NOT go back and deal with the sales staff for that price.

Was suppose to be leather. It changed color and they wouldn’t stand behind it. They wouldn’t replace or fix it. Would never buy from them again, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

La-Z-Boy make the best rocker recliner, many positions. You pay more, but it is worth it. Make sure you have the room for a rocker recliner, because if you go with the wall hugger, it is not as good.

I love the looks of the recliner but a Yorkie jumped on the extended footrest and snapped the particle board with which the chair was cheaply made. Not long after, metal started coming through the fabric and poking people in the legs.

My mama bought our first La-Z-Boy recliner when I was in high school. I would never have another brand of recliner. It is the best! That very first recliner stayed in my den for years. When my daughter got married I gave her that same chair and still use it today. I am 66 years old so that proves La-Z-Boy is the best made, the best quality and the longest lasting chair on the market.

Mechanics are not robust. If I weighed more, I believe the device would not hold long term. I expected "industrial" strength. Seems flimsy. Separate recliner arrived flawed and required service call.

Can’t even know where to start. Ordered a couch with recliners at the ends and two different recliners. We were told it would be 6 weeks. After multiple follow up phone calls after the quoted time, we finally received it 3, yes 3 months later. The seams are crooked on the $1,000 leather chair. The couch is another story. The two end recliners sounds like some sort of heavy equipment when pushing the button to the reclining position. The cushions are already sinking and we had for just 4 months. Very poorly made. Customer service wasn’t any help. I was stupid enough, I ordered armchair covers. Well that took another 3 months. Terrible customer service, run, don’t walk, to another store if you are in the market for furniture.
