I was attacked several years ago by a person who became a killer. This was back in 1984 that this person broke in. I was 49 then, I’m 78 now. Anyway he beat me and everything. He hit the back of my head when he hit me with a hammer, the part that keeps you from having vertigo and stuff like that. And so mine was displaced. And so when I sleep on a flat bed or if I would sleep on a flat bed and if sit up suddenly in the night, maybe to go to the restroom or something, then I get a case of vertigo. And so for 10 years I slept in a recliner. So when I found out about this Craftmatic bed being available on a TV commercial, I just went ahead and ordered one. And we were moving to a new apartment anyway from our house so I had it (my first one) just delivered right to our new apartment. That was about a year and 3 or 4 months ago.
It’s very comfortable. It’s a five star bed. I can just lay in one position all night long. I keep my head elevated and occasionally I keep my legs elevated too, because the same situation injured my legs too. I was trying to do this with pillows on my regular bed and it didn’t work so I had to have something quite firm… keeping me in place while I slept at night. And the Craftmatic just has done the trick. I sleep well in one position (I don’t turn around a lot at night because that bothers my head anyway) sleeping right on my back but not flat on my back because I’m in a raised position and it’s serving my purpose. It’s like it’s just made for me. And although I have to use this little step tool to get into it (I’m short), I’m thankful I don’t have to sleep in a recliner anymore which I did in over 10 years…It’s a very good experience.

We’ve seen some advertisements on the TV and then I went online and I believe they sent me a cd about the Craftmatic bed. And in talking to them on the phone and everything…the benefits… it just seemed like the best value. And what we liked too, because we have animals and if the bed is in motion, if they’re under the bed, it will stop right away, and the other brands didn’t do that. Our grandson, he’s gonna be five in October, he’d get under the bed. When we pushed the button, didn’t know he was under there, it would just stop.
Also my husband and I have bad backs. And this bed helps with those. What we have by the way is a king size and both sides are adjustable. We could turn the mattress over too because it’s got a hard side and then the other side is like a medium. It’s easy, it’s light to turn over, and so when we got on the hard part and then when I change the bed and stuff, then we can flip it over if we want a little bit softer. So I like that part. I also like to sit and watch cd into my computer and I would set down a pile pillows behind me setting me up and it really relaxes me because I could put the foot end up too and I could get like the curve where my back don’t hurt so badly. Very satisfied.

I have a condition on my back. I cannot lay down. Right about 5 or 6 hours is all I can stay on the bed. So I was searching for a bed and I knew some people who’d owned one up in Michigan. I was going through the phone book to see who handled them and then purchased one - no messing around and no jumping around between stores. However I had a bad problem getting this. First started they were out of the bed. From December - our paperwork December - never got it until sometime late January/February and then it was the wrong mattress. They gave me an option like a change mattresses for $85. But they sent me the same mattress I had so then I had two mattresses here I had to get rid of and then finally one finally came. It was a big mattress. The Craftmatic bed does help me, however, because I can go to sleep now. And I like that it goes up and down. I’ve had it now for one year.

We talked to a couple of people that have had it and they backed them pretty good, the reason we purchased it. We’ve had good luck with the product. The Craftmatic bed definitely helps me sleep. I don’t have any medical injuries. I like to be able to position the feet and head up. Totally enjoyable. You’re able to change positions and stay relaxed at the touch of a hand. If you do get a few back problems, you can move the bed around and generally solve that.

I think I saw Craftmatic on TV. I chose them over any other bed because of the guarantee. And the people at Craftmatic were professional. The bed is helpful for my health. I have acid reflux. It helps with that. I like being able to raise my head and my feet. You know I change positions quite a bit and you can raise or lower it wherever you want.

I think I bought my first Crafmatic bed back in either 1983 or ’84. I can’t remember which year it was but I do know this all those years that hospital bed was very useful especially to my wife who loved to lie in bed and read or watch TV. But then it got to the point where the mattress was not holding up right so I just got ahold of Craftmatic again and they made a good deal for me so I bought another one. And to tell you the truth, I like the second one better than I like the first one because the second one has two sides to the mattress. I had seen down here in Florida, garage sales, I had seen used ones and they were expensive even as used ones. So the first one I paid a dear penny for but the second one I got a good price.
If you want a firm mattress you can have it or if you want a medium soft you can have it and we both like the medium soft side. We both sleep great on it. It’s so quiet when you move it up and down. You don’t even hear it unlike the old one. It’s a marvelous bed. If you’re tense, you can lie down on that bed and turn that vibrator on. It vibrates for maybe 15 or 20 minutes and turn it off and your body is completely relaxed and you can go to sleep. And I like the availability to change positions. In other words I use a sleep machine and I cannot lie flat on the bed. Even if I bought a bed that laid flat, I have to put tiered pillow on it to sleep and so I sleep with my head up about 10 to 15 degrees and that makes me so I can go to sleep. If I lie flat, I feel like I’m going to choke to death. I didn’t have sleep apnea back then but I developed it and I was so happy when I had that capability on my bed to raise it like that, when I found out I had it.
I wouldn’t have any other bed. I would recommend it over any other bed.

This is my 2nd Craftmatic. The first one I saw it on television or magazine. I’ve heard too much about it that’s why I bought it. I aim for the best one. I was very satisfied with that. When it was advertised on television or when I read it, I was satisfied with all the things that I read on it. I’ve seen all the beds and everything but I went for the Craftmatic bed.
It works fine for me. It works very well. I have arthritis - it works very well with that too. And I like when the head goes up. And the bottom goes up. I don’t use the vibration too much. But I like it. Both of those have really helped me a lot. It’s Fantastic! NO ONE can talk me out of a Craftmatic bed. Those mattresses are expensive but I love my Craftmatic so much that I ordered another mattress when mine wore out.

My wife and I both have one - we have two singles. I sleep good in it. But it doesn’t help me medically - it does help my wife. I like the fact that you can put your head and feet up. I don’t use the features except when I go to bed to watch TV. And then I put it up so I can watch the TV better.
We had the Crafmatic people in our house years ago, and that didn’t go so well. Then we decided to purchase it because my wife needed it. She needs to be propped up because of reflux. We called them back. We thought it was a pretty good deal… we got a good deal. We went with the brand name. The sales rep was okay. They were professional, time courteous, efficient.

My back has failed so we began to look at the Tempur-Pedic which is carried by our local furniture store and the price was just kind of out of our range. We just didn’t have enough cash on hand to go for any $4500 bed. Then all of a sudden I saw this ad on the tv about Craftmatic and so I thought well I’ll call and see what their prices are like, and voila - it was just so much better that it was just almost unbelievable. So we called them up and made arrangement and got us a bed. This company listened to what I was telling them I needed and what my experience had been with the Tempur-Pedic.
I thought that the sales representative was real nice. He worked with me and he had a product to offer that I could afford and could meet my needs. I was real pleased… when sales people just act like used car dealers and you just feel like you’re being sold a bill of goods (“Will this really work for me?” or “Have you got other people this worked for that had my particular problems?” and they’re just giving you the swift smoozy there or approach) and then this fellow was willing to listen to me and called back and spoke with me several times. I was just really impressed with him and I think that’s one reason that we went ahead and invested as much as we did - because I don’t particularly think that $2000 is a small amount of money to invest in a bed, but it’s just that I felt confident that this company was gonna stand behind their product. And we had just always heard good things about Craftmatic. I had known about it for years and years...
When we first married I heard about Craftmatic. I think someone in one of my husband’s churches, her husband had cancer and they had a Craftmatic bed that they bought for him to have so they could have hospital type of bed in the house. In my case, I suppose my medical injuries made it imperative that I have an adjustable bed for comfort. My back hurts at all times and it just hurts a lot less if I have a medical type bed so that I could have the feet up or the feet down. I had Fusion. Guess it was nearly 20 years ago now and they don’t tell you at the time that they’re doing nice things to you but they’re not meant to last over about 15 years and then they wear and tear. And the nerves begin to be pressed on by the bone again. I can’t stand longer than about 2 minutes without being in horrible pain and I spent a lot of time on my bed. And I like to be able to sit up and read and paint my pictures and do my puzzles and stuff that I do to entertain myself and the Craftmatic just is an ideal answer to that need, to have something more than just a bunch of pillows stuffed up behind me in a regular bed which slides around then pretty soon you’re having to get out and adjust it again. So the Craftmatic is so much better.
I feel like it’s just been a stellar experience. And the bed has been a real, a real boon to me because I really desperately need a good bed. I would really recommend it to anybody else who would have similar needs, maybe even when they don’t have as bad a problems I have but just want a comfortable, adjustable bed…

I think it was from a television ad that we heard of Craftmatic. We had recently moved into a new house. We needed a new bed anyway. And I had had trouble with my legs. So the idea of being able to elevate the bottom of the bed was appealing. I’ve had the bed since 1987. We don’t use the massage at all. I don’t use the foot elevation regularly anymore. We do sleep slightly elevated, both of us now, so that we don’t have to have lots of pillows. I’d recommend it to a friend. Basically, we’ve enjoyed having the bed. We were on actually our second.

I bought a Cratmatic bed like 26 years ago. I liked it and decided that after 26 years, I should change and get a new one. At that time, I had a broken neck, I think, and I needed something comfortable and I got it. And this time, again, I had broken my neck and I had several different medical things and I decided I needed a new one. The bed helped. The interaction with the sales rep was very good. The lady that I was talking to was very nice, very cooperative, and I think I paid $3600 for mine 26 years ago and this time I paid $4200. So it didn’t go up too bad. I like the whole thing and all the features. It’s very comfortable and the best bed I’ve ever had!

I had a Craftmatic 15 to 20 years ago. I saw it advertised on the television and I talked to my husband because I was having problems sleeping and he bought the bed for me. It has helped me so much better. But it was so much better when I could get my massage and lay down. My head would go up and down just right. Then I put my massage on. And I can just go on off to sleep. And I have a good night’s sleep. But now, it won’t work. It hasn’t been too long that I’ve had this bed. I don’t know the exact date. They asked me about my papers and things but I don’t have them. My people would have to get them for me.
Everything was good, with the salesman, the person that brought it out and set it up for me, took the old bed away, brought my new one. I was so satisfied with them. I would rate it a 5 because that’s what it is for me. If somebody else would want to relax the way it has helped me, then it’d be great. I’m 86 years old and it really works for me.

The bed is helping my husband, and I like that I can raise and lower my side of the bed too because we got the big king sized, so it was two individual beds.

I think I found out about Craftmatic online because I know that I made a bookmark on my computer for Craftmatic. My mattress was due to be replaced. I’m overweight and when I’m on my feet for a long time, my legs swell up. And so, the very fact that I can put my legs above my heart is the feature that I like the best.
From the way the bed operates and the condition it’s in, I don’t think the delivery person put it together the right way. I don’t remember if I watched him or not put it together but I imagine I did because you don’t want a stranger in your bedroom going through your things. The bed veers toward the right. The mattress comes up to the right and I clutter on the left-hand side of my bed and the entire set of sheets can go towards the right with the clutter on the bed still there. Somehow the sheets come from underneath the clutter and go on the floor.
I have a double bed and when I complained that the double sheets weren’t working and there were the deep pocket ones and everything, the lady told me, “You need queen-sized sheets.” Queen-sized sheets are too big for one. But anyway, it stays on better than the double sheets did. It’s done something new today, or it was yesterday that it started doing it. I had it in the farthest upright that it would go and it’s possibly the farthest that it has gone before. But then when I wanted it to go flat, it just doesn’t go flat all the way. And I never had that happen, that it didn’t go this much not flat.
I tried to explain to the customer service people that it was within warranty and everything. There is one woman, customer service I think. She is just intolerable and anybody I ever talked to has not been exactly nice to me. I just took the opportunity to tell her I could not in clear conscience recommend the bed to anybody because of that. It just isn’t a way to run the company. It’s business. A lot of the time I had trouble getting through the customer service. It was one headache after another. They didn’t even ask me what parts. They just said it is $187 and I don’t see how you arbitrarily come up with a figure like that when you don’t know what’s wrong with the bed.
I have had some relations with the company that were good. The bad far outweighs the good.

There are a lot of good things that we enjoy about it. But the CPAP machine, no matter what position you’re in, it’s just difficult to get used to it.

The experience with Craftmatic bed is wonderful. Well, mom had a Craftmatic bed for 40 years. The first one lasted 35 years and then she bought another one. My dad’s been gone 10 years. The motor went out after 35 years then she bought another one and it is now 11 years old. My husband and I took the regular one and then she came to live with us and I just had a twin bed and she wanted a twin. She loved it because it goes up and down. She has a bad back and she’s half bedridden. And she can just adjust it to where she wants.
I ordered it and I was there when they delivered it. The delivery was wonderful. In fact, the one that delivered it was my neighbor across the lake. We live on the lake. And they came within like three or four days of ordering. It was quick. I can’t remember exactly as it’s been a couple of years. I’ve told all my friends about it.

We had actually seen Craftmatic on television a few times. We were looking for a bed for my dad because of mobility issues because of his Alzheimer’s. We had looked into like the hospital beds but we weren’t really comfortable with the quality of them. We were also looking for a bed that not only has the head part that raise but also it would raise up and down as well as far as height because we have caregivers that come into the home to take care of him and some of us are tall and some of us are short. We’re just trying to make it useful for us as well. We did a little research online and ended up finding the Craftmatic bed and made a call and worked with an awesome lady. She was like absolutely wonderful.
Then we’ve had the bed for a little over a year and we had a little issue with it. I called and they came out and they took care of the problem with no issues. It took a few emails back and forth. It’s really hard because we live in a very small area and there are not very many Craftmatic dealers in our area. So it took a while for them to find someone that could come out and take care of the issue but they did. They are there for the customer. They want to make sure that you’re satisfied with your bed. They have called numerous times and asked if everything was fine. You don’t get that customer service from a lot of places. Excellent customer service! I saw Craftmatic in the yellow pages for Spokane. That’s the nearest big town to where I live. I live way out in the country. Sometimes I have a little problem sleeping, plus I was injured in the army back in 1968 or 1969. It didn’t bother me when I was younger but from about 2000 on, the old injuries started to bother me. So I thought I’d get a bed that would adjust like that. They came right out and they brought everything in. They helped move the other bed out and then they set it all up. They wanted to know exactly where I wanted it because they said it’s kind of heavy. You want to get it where it is like the first time. So we tried a couple of ways and then I found the best way in there where I’ve got the window and light behind me if I want to read. They were very nice. They left and they took all the other packing material and stuff with them. It was good. Fast delivery and good service.
I sleep better with the bed. I like all the adjustments on it. I like the mattress. It’s very comfortable. I don’t know what’s in it but it’s very comfortable to sleep on. I became disabled 10 years ago. I’m 55 this month and I’ve had a bad back since my 20s. I couldn’t work anymore. It got to the point after the first year of my disability, I couldn’t lay flat and I couldn’t go up and down steps. I live in a town home and the bedrooms are three bedrooms upstairs. My husband at the time was an over-the-road truck driver. So I was sleeping on our coach and I was taking 15 to 20 pillows and just building them up to do like an incline and I would lay that way and try to get some sleep and it wasn’t working. My husband came home from being on the road and I was really in a bad way. He looked at me and he said, “Look, I don’t care. We’re getting you a bed.” I looked at him and I said, “I want a Craftmatic but honey, we can’t afford it.” And he said, “Yes, we can.”
We called and the Craftmatic people were absolutely wonderful. They came out, they brought the bed out. I’ve had the bed for two years now and it is a godsend. It has made such a difference in my life and I am not kidding you. I can sleep and I spend most of my time in this bed not because I want to, like I’m lazy, but because I can’t walk. So I use a walker and I can’t stand for more than two minutes. The walker has to have a seat on it. So I am either sitting up in the bed or just at a slight incline when I sleep. And I’ve gone from being miserable and just couldn’t talk to anybody to being a halfway decent person again because I’m getting some sleep at night. My back feels so much better. This bed is so comfortable. Even if you’re not disabled, don’t have a bad back, I recommend a Craftmatic. I’ve told my friends about it. One of my friends actually is thinking of getting one because her back is bothering her. It’s great. They’re very nice from the people we ordered from to the people that came and brought it to us. They didn’t send a regular Full. They exchanged it. They got the correct one delivered within just a couple of days. Then they put it all together and everything for us.
They’re just more comfortable for our back. I sleep better and feel better in the morning if I can sleep with my head elevated and sit up to read or watch TV. Quite frankly, the seller that I talked to at Craftmatic, when I called and asked about it, I will admit the Craftmatic bed was a little more expensive than some of the others. But they had a guarantee with theirs. They called to check up on the bed after it came. A lot of the things weren’t doing that. Sleep Number, for example, was going to deliver it to the front door of my condo in boxes. And then what am I supposed to do? They weren’t even going to bring it into the building. Craftmatic arrived at my door on their scheduled appointment time, went right to work, put the bed up, waited for me to get out the bed linens and put the dust ruffle down, cleaned up after themselves, and took away my old bed. He was a really nice fellow. So that’s why I went with them.
It’s very comfortable to sleep in and it’s so easy to change the bed. It’s just a very comfortable bed. It doesn’t move around. It stays stationary. I get a good night’s sleep in it so I guess that’s my favorite part of the bed. The price was an issue but overall, I’m certainly glad I made the decision that I made. It seems to be a far better product than the others. They were true to their word. Their customer service and the people that I’ve spoken to both over the phone, the ones that communicated with me by mail, and then the delivery personnel that they sent were very, very well informed on their product. They measured it for me. They helped me make my choices. It was just a very overall easy experience.
I never felt like they were trying to just rush me off the phone, “Give me your credit card and be done with me.” And the gentleman that I spoke to originally, he didn’t have to pass me off - “Well, that’s not my department,” “Well, I don’t know about that.” As far as the lady that I talked to yesterday on their customer relations department, really excellent. She even had little suggestions as to what to do. Did I know that even if I’m not in the bed, I could fix it up to make the bed easier by getting the sheets on, that dreaded fourth corner. I had already figured that out but it was nice of her to bring it up. I’m sure there are some people that she talked to that might not have thought about that. Overall, I would rate them as a very, very reputable, very high, solid company.

I was referred to Craftmatic by a healthcare professional, filled out an online request to get a quote and was verbally assaulted by one of their sales reps calling me and offering me a new bed for $2300 (sale price so he said). On Craig's List the Craftmatic bed barely used was being offered at $125, some others at $200 - 800. In talking to David, he constantly talked over me, not letting me ask questions and getting clarification, and berating me for not letting him tell his sales pitch. He then threatened me that if I didn't buy the bed by the next day at noon, I'd lose the $1000 discount he was offering me. Nice way to treat someone trying to do the right thing for their 96 year old mom who just got out of heart surgery.
I had to several times ask him to let me speak, which he would not, and finally told me basically to shut up and let him finish. He had difficulty getting my name and email correct, even after I spelled them several times. The next day I emailed David back and told him I had decided not to go with Craftmatic (just not comfortable with the interaction with him) and explained I had seen Craftmatic beds listed for $125. He emailed back that they must be "crap" at that price. Can you imagine having a sales rep speak to you in that way? And why would a Craftmatic bed be crap after a year, and why would I buy one that was crap after a year. He is a very disturbed man. I hope he doesn't represent Craftmatic's true quality which seems quite celebrated on this site.
I am not going to attach your emails to this response to protect your privacy, but I feel very confident that if you carefully reread them you will find that our representative was just trying to be helpful and get the point across that you should not expect much from that used bed. I just decided to look it up on the internet. I needed a bed that looks comfortable because I have MS and it’s something that I could sleep in. Their people really were good setting it up and everything. They were great. A man and his wife did it. He did a great job.
This Craftmatic bed is comfortable. This is a good bed. It’s got a lot of good qualities. Sometimes I think it’s too soft. But I have my sister turn the mattress around where it will be firmer. That’s perfect because it’s been a couple of years, it seems, since I’ve had it. So that helps it be firmer on the side again. It’s got all kinds of good features on it - lifting up and down and they got the massager on it. I would recommend it without any problem. I like it because you can raise it up. I just like the softness of it too. It’s a good bed!

The lady I talked to, I did work with her over the phone. The guys that delivered the Craftmatic were great. Everything was fine really. It was a big help. I don’t use the massage as much. I use all the other parts because that’s the only way I ever got to where I could get out of bed and in bed really. It has made a big difference in my life. And it’s helped my husband when he was trying to do everything for me.

I do have some problems that’s why my wife contacted Craftmatic. Sales and delivery went fine. They did what they were supposed to do. But I found it kind of uncomfortable really. Well, I’d lay on one side and I get to sleep on one side and my body sinks all the way down the bottom. I have a big hole on the bed. When I get up at night to go to the bathroom, I got to wait for it to come back up before I get back to bed. They were supposed to give me a doctor’s discount and I didn’t get it. I just don’t argue with people anymore. It doesn’t make any difference.
If the mattress you ordered is not comfortable, we have our mattress assurance program which allows you to receive a different mattress for just the cost of delivery.
Florida State law treats our beds as medical devices. If a valid prescription is sent into our office from your doctor, the sales tax would be removed from the order. I looked at your order and do not see one. I believe this is the "doctors discount" you are speaking of.

I had first heard of Craftmatic when I worked in the medical industry years ago. I had been involved in two accidents and at the time was unable to use my right arm or my right leg. I thought an adjustable bed’s probably what I need so I bought it. The sales representative was very, very helpful. We went over each of the options and helped me choose what was best for me. He followed up to let me know when the order went through and when the expected delivery was to come. The delivery team did call me early to let me know when they’re coming. They called me again that day and they came in. They were quick, clean, professional, and very helpful, and I just never wanted another bed. It’s an absolutely wonderful bed. Highly recommended!

The church I go to had an ad and it said Craftmatic. I thought, “Gee, I haven’t heard that name in a long time.” I’m partially disabled. I use a walker but I don’t get out a lot. So in other words, I can’t get to the stores to check out all the bedding. So I thought, “Well, I’ll get a hold of them.” Their place is in, I think, Florida. I said, “Well, I was going to go look into your Craftmatic bed because I had heard of it years ago and I think I got some material in the mail from Craftmatic.” But then it seemed like years went on. I didn’t hear from them anymore because I wasn’t really looking for a bed. We just kept our king-sized bed. But this one is a queen size. And the reason why I went down is because actually my husband, he sleeps in one of these what I call hospital beds. But it was through Medicare that they brought him a bed which he sleeps in another room. So I said, “Well, I don’t need a king-sized bed anymore. I need a queen or something smaller in my bedroom.” So that’s what I did. I bought the Craftmatic bed through the people in Florida.
The guys brought it in. I looked at it and I thought, “Well, it looks like it’s kind of up too high. How am I going to get my feet and legs in there?” So then I have a nursing agency. It comes to our house. The guy did say he had some extra pieces for the bottom, the metal pieces or the rollers. They gave them to me. I said, “Okay, that’s fine.” And I just set it off to the side. But then when I told the nursing agency girl, she said, “We could lower this bed somehow or another.” So we’ve had like a repairman coming and going in our house fixing different things. So between the two of them, they lowered my bed with the roller and metal pieces that you had underneath the Craftmatic bed. So it’s now lower than it was before. So I said, “Oh boy, this is great.” And it is. It’s fine. It’s just I have a hard time getting my one leg in there. But maybe if I really tried. The nursing agency girl should probably put me on the bed if I wanted to just stay in there. So that’s the whole situation.
I don’t know how long I’ve had this Craftmatic bed. Maybe six to eight months. Anyway, it’s here in my bedroom. I’m happy with it. I have been in it and I’ve even used the massager. I wasn’t sure I liked that at first but it’s really very nice. I think maybe it goes for maybe a half an hour. You switch that thing on and you get kind of like the massage which is very nice. But here of late, I guess I haven’t used the bed much because I was having trouble getting into the bed. I think I could get out of it okay. But that’s my own problems, physical problems.
I would recommend Craftmatic. If I got to talk to somebody, I would say, “Well, come back here and you can look at the bed and test it out if you want to.” I would do that or talk about it if I was out somewhere and somebody was saying, “Well, I’m looking for a bed.” I think it’s a good bed.

I believe that I heard about Craftmatic bed on TV probably. I already had an adjustable bed and I needed a new mattress. Mine was not a Craftmatic. Mine was just an older model that I had purchased years ago. But when I called to see about just replacing my mattress, it didn’t make any sense to do just the mattress when I could get the whole set for a little bit more than what just the mattress would cost. Everybody was very professional and very prompt. I like the adjustable head and legs. I never lay flat at night. So that’s my favorite part. I have acid reflux so having the head up slightly decreases that. I would recommend it.

It seems like people have asked me about the bed, this and that, and I said, “It’s probably the nicest thing I did for myself,” because I had spinal stenosis. Then I had back surgery so I treated myself to a Craftmatic. Of course, it helped me getting out of bed just after surgery because I live alone, and that was incredible. Then I had cancer and the bed again helped me to get in a comfortable position after surgery and to get in and out of bed. Then I’ve got GERD on top of it. It sounds terrible but I’m really in great shape now. I don’t have to worry about propping up that end of the bed, and it’s been wonderful. I got it around 2003, I think. I can’t imagine life without it. I know that sounds really weird but it’s helped enormously!
Craftmatic do most of their sales now in the internet. I’m not sure. But there was a representative in our area. So he came out and they showed me all the different functions and was very helpful. And then when I said, “It’s a bit out of my range financially,” he made some adjustments so it was a lot more affordable. They got the real thick mattress on top, and I called them because on one side, it was just down a little bit and they said, “Well, it’s guaranteed for 10 years.” And they were extremely helpful. The setup crew couldn’t have been better. They were very careful. They took out the old mattress. It was here and set up in under half an hour. It was wonderful!

Well, we were talking with our daughter. My husband and I both suffer from severe arthritis. And so, of course, when I have it one place, he has it in another. So our daughter went online and she said, “Well, they say out there that Craftmatic is the best. So let’s go with them.” So she called and got some information from the man and we discussed it and decided to go for it. The salesman was very nice. We didn’t want the one bed because the way he uses it might not help me. So the two twin beds were just what we needed. He can do what he feels is good to him and I can, too. The salesman told me that they would move my existing bed to another bedroom. When they got here, they said they didn’t do that. And I said, “Well, then we have a problem because my husband and I are not capable of doing that and we were told you would do it. That was part of the deal.” So they agreed to do it. They moved it and got it set up and everything was fine. We got it August of 2011. It is definitely what we needed. With the arthritis, it helps to be able to readjust your body. So that worked fine. We’ve been very pleased with it.

I need to sleep with my head elevated due to problems. I had a Sleep Number before that I really liked, actually. But it was too big and I know now they do what the Craftmatic would do as far as memory and that sort of thing. But the reason I chose Craftmatic (because the others you can actually see; Craftmatic you have to order by phone or by email) is that they’ve been in the business longer than anybody to be honest. That’s kind of what made me go that direction. I can’t remember whether I first did something on the internet, it’s been a while now, or talked to a regular sales representative. Anyway, I did end up talking to one of their representatives. I found them extremely receptive.
With the Sleep Number, you choose the firmness. But with Craftmatic, they do it according to many parameters. They take all the information and that sort of thing. They were wonderful. I downsized my apartment. I live at a retirement community and I needed it to be here on a certain day. It came the day I asked for it and they were super. I couldn’t complain about anything there. The experience is very pleasant and very easy.
The bed is doing what it’s supposed to do. It took me a little while to get used to the mattress because it was much firmer than what I was used to sleeping, but that seems to have worked itself out. However, the weight goes down whether you need to change or not. Because right now, I’m really working hard in getting some of the weight off. But at this point, it’s fine. It’s just kind of high and I understand we could cut the legs off.

She’s 72, I’m 75, and we have to have a more comfortable mattress. She’s putting boards and all kinds of stuff underneath and they won’t take them back. I never tried it but I can’t dish out any more money than I already have. They want $1200 more and I ain’t got it. So take a trade in, it’s fine. You take a trade in, you give me some softer mattresses, take these back, box them up, spray them down and sell them.
I would recommend it but I’m not satisfied. Everybody tells me, “Well, get a more solid mattress and stuff.” The sales representative, we’re the ones that have to tell him what we want. The guy that I got the information from has passed on now. He’s dead. I got a Craftmatic bed because he got one. He said it was great for his back. That’s the main reason I got it because here at the home, they gave us some little old cot beds, little old single beds that I kept falling off of them, rolling off of them, and ended up with either my feet on the bed or on the floor - one of those. So I thought I’d go ahead and get one. I got one and it broke. The mattresses just gave out. I had it for about three and a half years. Then I got me a double bed for the home for about a year and then I went back and got me another Craftmatic and I’m still using it. It’s about three years old now.
It helps a great deal because it’s big enough and I can sleep just any way I want to sleep. I sleep mostly in a fetal position because my feet get cold at night and I have to figure out some way to get them warm so I pull them up as close to my body as I can get them. And that works great! The only thing I got against it is it takes too many nine-volt batteries to run the stupid thing.

I think we bought our first Craftmatic bed in the late 80s, early 90s. I know a salesman came to the house and he sold us on it. Twelve years ago, I moved from Long Island, New York to Florida. The mattress at that time was probably about 12 years old. We decided we needed a new mattress, so I called the Craftmatic people and they delivered the new mattress. I think they gave me credit because the mattress is guaranteed for 15 years and we only had it for 12 years. They delivered it very quickly and we were very happy with it. Then about two years ago, we had a queen sized with one control and we decided to get the twin beds with the dual controls. We were very happy with them. My husband passed away last year, but we’re still very happy. I know I am. I love sitting up in bed and watching TV at night or reading. I love the massage that it has. I just was a little disappointed in that but they were nice. They were nice people and they did a good job.

This is my mother’s second purchase of Craftmatic. Years ago, she bought two twin Craftmatic beds for her and my father and she was very satisfied. She has issues with the control but it was after a while and they were serviced properly and all. So when she moved up here to Massachusetts, my father since passed away, we decided to buy Craftmatic again. She’s happy but she’s not as happy as she was with the original one. Basically, here’s the deal, I called up and it was me who did the purchasing and it was me who called up to make the comment that the mattress bellies a little bit. And by the way, my mother’s a little over 125 pounds and she lays in the center. I was told that I have to measure. I have to do this. I have to do that. The mattress wasn’t very old. In all honesty, that isn’t happening. So my mother’s learning to deal with it and stuff like that. But I was not happy with that response. That’s basically the gist of it.
The bed is fine. It’s not as easy for my mother to get in and out of the bed as it used to be. So basically, she gets into the bed and then she winds up in the belly part, like in the center of the mattress, but the mattress being as new as it is, it shouldn’t belly at all. But it’s much too much of a hassle to start measuring how much it would go down. There’s a certain amount I was told that’s within normal range. They should have said, “Okay, we’ll send someone out. We’ll measure and we’ll do this and we’ll look at this.” And that was not the response. And I said, “Screw this. It’s fine.” Disappointed on the second experience.

So what we did, we called the guy and he came out and he showed us that it could be two twin-sized beds or it could either be the queen sized, or king sized. It’s pretty big. When I had open heart surgery, I basically had it because you got to let yourself up then I could get out of bed. Otherwise, I hurt so bad.
We’ve had this Craftmatic bed I guess 5 or 6 years, and we’ve been real pleased with it. The mattresses are a little hard but we went to the store and bought them pads. So that makes it pretty good. I tore my rotator cuff on my right shoulder and I’ve been sleeping on my right side. I wake up at night and I’ve turned over on my right side and got my shoulder hurting. I can get into any position really so that I can take pressure off my knees if my knees are bothering me or my legs hurt that day or whatever.

I was looking for different types of bed - the Sleep Number and all that. I don’t exactly know how I found Craftmatic’s name and number but I think that’s through friends. I just thought it had more advantage for what I wanted, what I needed. It’s more like a hospital bed. The reason I got it is because I had back surgery and I can’t lay flat so I need to elevate the feet and head. I think I’ve had it about three years now.
The sales was real good. The delivery team was a little rough but we made it through. Well, they were from Baltimore and I’m 50 to 60 miles from Baltimore. I guess they had so many stops and by the end of the day, they were burned out. They scraped the walls a little but I patched them up. I’d say it was a good investment for me. It’s what I needed. But the linens are kind of pricey.

My mother had back issues and she was very uncomfortable with a regular bed. She’d go back and forth from the bed to the couch. I think she saw the Craftmatic commercial on television and I didn’t know of any other brands that made the thick bed, so I bought the bed for her. The process went very well. They did the job very well. They were on top of everything. Everything got delivered and explained and they were friendly about it.
My mother loved the bed. She actually passed away. It’s a year ago, and I’m using it now. It’s just wonderful! I have a dual sided so I’m using the hard surface. It’s very good. It was a good experience!

I have had Craftmatic beds for about 20 years. So for my first one, I don’t even know if I can remember why I was interested in that. I probably heard about it from someone at the time at the university. And then recently, I bought another one. I don’t even know why I gave up the old one except I wanted a new one. And it was my doctor’s recommendation to have one. I cannot sleep flat so I have to sleep sitting up. So that’s the best part of the bed. I can adjust it to where I need to just be up a little bit, not flat.
The sales representative was just very courteous. He was very helpful. I was describing to him how I needed to sleep on a certain level and he was making suggestions. Then when I thought I would purchase one, the people that he sent out to put it in place was just very well versed. They understood exactly what they were doing, very nice. They offered many good suggestions. I recommended it to my brother and he bought one as well. I’m a college professor and then my students come in kind of sleepy in the morning. I always tell them that they need a good Craftmatic bed to be up and ready to listen to my lecture.

My wife and I are busted up that we decided Craftmatic would be a good idea for both of us. I don’t know where we looked up the information or anything, but I had heard it on TV and seen it in magazines and stuff. So we checked it out and the guy came to the house and did a demonstration. We decided that’s the way we had to go.
Over the past year and a half, I had seven back surgeries and before that I had four vertebrae in my neck fused and I have an artificial knee and a rebuilt knee. Being able to move that bed up and down, get it to a comfortable position, being able to get in and out of the bed, the vibrator, and then I got a cover for the mattress that’s got the heater in it, it’s a godsend. It’s a relief for anything that ails you. The one problem we have, the vibrator seems to shut down. In fact, in one bed the vibrator doesn’t work at all and now the bed that I sleep in, the vibrator’s starting to work real slow and labored. I hope it doesn’t give out because in my shape, I really depend on the vibrator.

I saw a Craftmatic ad in the paper for adjustable beds. I was always thinking that the problem with my sleeping was that I’m laying flat because I was always trying to lodge pillows under my head to get me in a more comfortable position. And I noticed that the chair that I’m sitting in right now, which is a rocking chair in my living room, when I slept in it I slept wonderfully. So I thought, “Maybe if I can get something to get me up a little bit, I would sleep better because I wouldn’t be waking up all that much.” Well, I spoke with your people. The first person I dealt with, I can’t remember his name, was over a year. He was very friendly, he was good, and answered my questions. The set-up team, two young men came in. There was a little confusion about the taking of the old bed and whatnot. And there were some problems that I had to call up but then they decided they couldn’t do it right now because there was no room but they would come back later and they did. They came back later and they took out what I needed from the old bed taken away. So they were very good.
It was expensive but it worked for me. I sleep better now. The massage is okay. It’s not as good as it could be. It’s more like a vibrator. I do have a complaint though. They don’t have a program. I told the lady that they don’t offer a plan where you can pay off the bed in a year interest free. A lot of companies do that. They don’t. That was the complaint for me because I had to pay it all at one time to get the sales price they were offering me. In other words, I believe, they should do such a program.

Well, I had some leg problems and it was hard to get in my regular bed. Then my daughter went around looking at the Craftmatic bed and thought it would really be helpful to me since it was hard for me to get into my bed. So she proceeded to do that, get the paperwork, go and look at them, and get the bed.
Everything went real well. They called me and they told me when it was going to be delivered. They set up a time and they were here shortly. They were here on time and they were very personable, very knowledgeable as far as setting up the bed, how to work the controls, tell me what I can expect and how to regulate the bed and all the features and everything. It went smoothly. I didn’t have any problem with them. They did take off two sets of wheels and legs off to get it lower so I can still get into bed. And that was no problem because they did ask me when I did get to get in it and see if it would be worth to try to get in and see all about that and discover that I could. They were here right away to help do that.
The bed worked fine. It’s too high for me to get into bed but I’m managing fine with what I’ve got on here now. In fact, I’m in it now. We go up and down, and I slide around with my legs to get out of bed and have my stool there and that’s fine. It’s a very worthwhile bed to get when somebody is as disabled as I am. Many of my family members have been over many times because they have to come over and help with things. When they’re over here, they’re here to help me get in and out if I need that and if not, they’re here anyway. So they know of my experience with the bed and some of my friends do, too. So we’ll just see what happens to whoever needs it.

Well, I needed a new bed and we were moving into a new house. So due to some medical problems that I have, we determined that the adjustable bed was the thing that I needed. I heard about Craftmatic on TV. The sales representative, I can’t remember his name right now, but it was an older gentleman. Somebody who has been doing his job for over 35 years. That’s what he said. He was just as nice and patient as could be. When I was speaking to him, I was really in a very bad state with my health. So I was having a little bit of a hard time focusing on my work and part of my health problems includes not always being able to find the right words at the right time. He was so patient with me and does not make me feel like I was being a burden or being troublesome at all. I really don’t have much to say about the delivery team. I think that they may have caused just a little bit of carpet damage with their shoes. I don’t want that to impact Craftmatic in any way. They’re not their people.
The bed is very, very much helping me. What I have causes a lot of pain. I have to be in different positions or completely supported during the day. So changing the positions of the bed allows me to be able to sit up and continue to do my artwork even though I’m in bed. I don’t want this to sound overly dramatic but I would say at the time that we bought the bed, it was really a part of bringing me back to life. I was so sick that getting the bed enabled me to sit up and participate in my favorite activity, the only activity that’s still left to me right now. I absolutely recommend Craftmatic!

I had seen advertisements for Craftmatic around on the internet and on TV. I just, over the years, have heard about their adjustable beds. Then my husband had some health issues that I figured one of those would be good for him to use. So then I checked into it and we decided that we would like to get one. They did a really good job. They came in, they took the old bed apart, they took the mattresses and stuff away, and they sent the new one out. When we first got it, we had requested a bed that was low to the ground and we got one with the regular sized legs on it. I called the salesman that had sold it to us and he said, “I will get you the shorter legs out.” They came in a few days and we switched them out. We had a very good experience with the delivery people, the salesman and everyone else involved.
For several days now my husband has been complaining about a stiff neck. He put the bed up higher and slept the night before. Then when he got up in the morning he said, “Man, that’s so much better. I’m so glad I was able to put the head of the bed up.” So that has helped and he’s on accident. He occasionally has problems so he can adjust the bottom part of the bed for that. It’s been very helpful for him. I don’t really have any health issues that I would need a bed like that but I love to sit in my bed and read before I go to sleep. It’s so awesome to be able to put the head of the bed up and sit there and read for a half an hour, 45 minutes before I go to bed.
I absolutely love that bed! It’s an awesome bed! I have recommended it to people. I’m not sure that anybody I’ve talked to about it has actually purchased a bed but I have told people about my experience with them and that everyone should have one.

I thought everything was excellent. The Craftmatic people were really nice on the phone. I did bargain. You kind of bargain your price which I didn’t really mind. By getting the price down, I actually talked to more than one salesperson and everybody was really nice. They were really good about everything. It took longer. I had an extra item because we have power failures. So I have them send a battery pack so when the power goes out, the bed still works. And that took a little while for them to send it. But they were always in contact with us and they worked with us on that really well.
We got it because I had an illness and became a paraplegic. When we went from the hospital bed to this, it was so that I could get out of bed easier. But now, I am healthy and well. We still like it. Even when we bought it, we sort of thought it would be nice to sit and watch TV and so on. It wasn’t 100% because I wasn’t that well. Between the fact that we like the idea and it would service me as well, it was a combination of things.
I would recommend Craftmatic. I didn’t have one complaint with them the whole time. I liked everybody I dealt with. I wouldn’t put a dog on it. Number one, they had a hand crank. And number two, you can’t adjust the hand crank if the patient is in the bed. It was unacceptable. Well, I thought, “What’s the best thing for Melvin?” And I thought, “The best thing is a Craftmatic bed, of course.” So I called up the company and I explained his condition and what he needed.
They recommended exactly the model we should have and in no time at all, they had it here. We got it set up. It is perfect for him. He’s so comfortable and he gets right to sleep. He’s safe as kittens in it, so it’s perfect. The feature we like best, we have a nursing staff for him, is the ability to raise the bed way up high or way down low because that makes procedures so much easier. We replace Foley catheters and that kind of thing and you got to have the bed at a good height to do that. So that’s a super convenience. We recommend Craftmatic. Excellent product, excellent service! Glad I contacted them!

I live in Longview and Craftmatic sent somebody out to Shreveport. I had just had bilateral knee surgery in June and this was September. The bed had to go upstairs. They sent one person. So guess who had to be the helper to get the bed upstairs? It did not work well. He discovered that it wasn’t working well. And then also, the other experience that I had with him is that he wasn’t really sure how to put the bed together. He had done it once before with the help of somebody else. Now, I said, “You mean, they sent one person and a person that’s inexperienced really to put this bed together and to make it work right?” He had to call somebody. We had to wait an hour and a half for another person to come who had put the bed together many times before. That part of the experience was not real good.
In fact, I even called Craftmatic and I told them, “You know, if this is the way you folks do business, you can just have him load it back up on the truck and we just won’t buy it.” So one of the things they need to do in their deal is number one, they do need to send an experienced person who knows how to put the bed together. Number two, they need to discover where that bed is going to go and how many people they really need. Because even if I had not had bilateral knee surgery, because I wasn’t supposed to, I just had gotten to the point to where I was going upstairs. I’d been sleeping downstairs for two and a half months because I couldn’t negotiate stairs like I needed to. But when you’re trying to load a bed upstairs, in addition to negotiating the stairs, that’s not a good thing.
I’m not angry with the experience. They did recover from it but sending someone out to Shreveport is just that it took probably three times as long to put that bed in as it should have taken. They made it right in the sense that they did reduce the price some for me because of the experience that I had had. And that was helpful economically. And they did, which a lot of people will not do, apologize and say, “We’re noting this in our…” So they took note of what has happened to me. And so they said they were going to work hard to try to correct that so it has been good. The people are excellent. There are debacle things that happen all the time and this was one of those debacle things.

The Craftmatic people were perfect. They understood what I needed. They were empathetic. They did their utmost to make sure that I got the bed quickly. They understood that I have been having problems for two or three years. And so, they shipped it within a very short period of time. So I was very happy with both the person I spoke to. Anyone I talk to, I tell them about it and recommend it to them.

First, I saw Craftmatic on one of the late night TV ads. I always thought it was a good idea for older people but I actually needed it for my daughter. She’s not yet 10 but she has cerebral palsy. We were renting a hospital bed and even with insurance, it was over $70 a month to rent it. So we figured why would we want to spend that kind of money on something that’s horribly uncomfortable that we’ll never own. So we decided Craftmatic was the best choice because it was adjustable. With all of her issues, she needed something that we can raise the head up because she’s got reflux, or raise the legs up or massage her because she is immobile. So that was our best choice. Craftmatic was the one that I’d heard of and I actually looked online and checked all the reports and it was the best that people recommended. I wasn’t actually hearing the other names.
Everybody was wonderful. The sales representative walked me through everything. We made sure that we were getting the bed at the right height because me and other people actually are her caretakers so we needed to not be bending over and breaking our backs or not having to stand up on tiptoes. So we went to a lot of measuring and re-measuring and making sure that we were getting it all the right way that we needed it to be. They were very, very helpful with that. And the delivery folks came in, set it up, and that was good to go. They were pretty much in and out, showed me exactly what I needed to know, and out of my door without making a mess.
Great experience. It does everything it’s supposed to and we couldn’t be happier with it! Would definitely do it again if I needed it for somebody else. I have recommended it to friends. It’s been awesome!

I had gotten the Craftmatic bed for my husband who had a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, I lost my husband a year and a half ago. He was having trouble getting in and out of bed. We had been to a friend’s house and saw it, and he says, “I really would like to get that.” So we did and it made all the difference in the world to him. It really did. It helped tremendously! And now, if I have too much salt, my leg swells up. I raise the bottom of the bed when I go to sleep. It’s wonderful! It’s a great bed. I don’t know if he hadn’t been sick if I would have gotten it but I’m glad I have it. It’s very comfortable.
My granddaughter loves the massage. I haven’t really used the massage that much but I do like sitting in bed and watching TV, to be able to raise the front of the bed. And like now, I’m sick, I raise the bed so then I feel better. But it’s just an extremely comfortable bed and you can really do a lot with it.
They’ve been wonderful to deal with too. But I was not happy with the mattress that they gave us. We had had a memory foam and I loved it and they’ve gone out of their way to get it for me. I have a queen-sized bed so we have two beds, two things put in it like twins. They just were really great about doing that. And that’s a big thing, too. I really was very happy!

It’s easier for me to watch television when I’m on the bed. I can adjust myself if I have foot problems, lift my legs, and lift my head. The massage part isn’t that strong enough. It’s not like a real massage. But this bed is very comfortable and it’s useful.

Years ago, we looked at the Craftmatic but we decided to buy a Wonder Bed because it was cheaper and the electronics were cheaper, too. They didn’t last very long. But we built a beach house and we decided that we wanted a bed that would raise up so we could read, watch TV, or whatever. That’s kind of how we got the Craftmatic bed.
The delivery people brought it up, they assembled them and all. Well, we had a little trouble at first because they didn’t send us the right mattress. I think they’re all the same mattress. It was too hard. So the guy said, “Well, flip it over. The other side is softer.” We flipped it over. It was just as hard as the other side. And then he said, “I’m going to send you something.” What he sent me was some kind of foam that was so hard. I called him back. “This is harder than the bed.” So then they sent us a pillow top and that pretty much cured the problem. When we got the pillow top, it was great. We sleep better and I like the vibrator the best.

Well, I have a problem with my leg so I thought, “Wow, wouldn’t that be cool with the legs propped up?” I can’t remember when I first bought this Craftmatic bed. It was ’88, ’89, or something like that. Well, back then, I didn’t know of any other brands anyhow. I saw that and I needed a bed and I had that problem going on. I messed up for a couple of years there with it. It did help me with my condition. It’s probably the best bed that could ever be made as far as I can tell because if you have any kind of a problem, you can prop it up whichever way, the head up or the feet up. And it has that little vibration deal on it and comfortable. It was good. All the kids and all the grandkids love it. They fold it up and play.
We needed a new mattress here last year and everywhere you look, everybody claims to be the best and all that. I told my husband, “You know what? I’m just going to get on the computer and find Craftmatic and I’m going to get a new mattress for this bed.” There’s nothing wrong with the frame, with the way it works, or anything. Interaction with the sales and delivery people went really good with no problem whatsoever. I’ve seen Craftmatic’s advertisements for years and I knew someone who had one. I’ve been quite ill and needed a hospital-type bed. The delivery team was very, very helpful. The salesperson used to call us in the evening and explained he was going to lose his job if he didn’t get the sale and leaned on us. My husband had that experience. I didn’t personally.
I like the massage, I wish we didn’t have but we do, and also being able to sit up in it and raise the knees a bit. But then after less than a year, I found wires coming out of the edge of the mattress and I called them and they said, “Oh that’s normal wear.” I was frankly expecting them to be a little upset about it. The wires are still coming out of the edge and they’re short pieces and I pull them out, but it doesn’t affect the functioning of the bed. It was a little dangerous for sitting on the edge.
I wouldn’t recommend it. I found one of those frustrating things was trying to find an actual price. You go down to Sleep Number and you can look at them and there’s a price on them. However, I was too sick and my husband was too busy and we did the shopping by mail. Buying it was difficult and was frustrating. The delivery was very efficient and with the bed, we had to exchange the mattress once because it was too hard. That went well and it’s functioning well and comfortable now. But I wouldn’t get another one. They were very uncooperative about my complaint.

My husband loves his side, and I wasn’t too happy with my side. So a lady had called me on a survey and I had pulled out all my paperwork. I was ready to call her to see if they had a softer side to the bed. This is just a few days ago. And she said, “Why don’t you go ahead and flip the bed over because you have the one that one side is hard and I guess the other side is soft.” So my son came over and he flipped the bed and a world of difference. I woke up and didn’t hurt. It’s great! I’m very happy with the bed!

We’ve used it ever since. We’ve had no incidents with it so far.
I got to keep my head elevated and I have to keep my feet elevated sometimes, too. So when they get to really hurt, I go in there and lay down, and lower my head a little bit and then raise my legs, I feel fine. I saw a Craftmatic ad years ago on TV. It may have been one of those infomercials, but the name stuck in my head. I knew there were other brands, or at least one other brand, but I wasn’t sure what it was. I didn’t see them on TV. So I figured that one of a few things has to happen if you’re going to be on TV. Either you’ve got garbage and you’re just trying to peddle it to anybody or you’ve got a good product and you’re really trying to get it out there. So I checked online if they had reports at all for Craftmatic.
My wife had sustained a brain injury. She was getting out of the rehab center for brain injuries at the time, reasonably soon, and I needed a hospital bed. And so I decided that she didn’t need the rails. If she did, I could put rails on it. But what she needed was something where she could elevate her body and her legs. And it was a problem putting another bed and having two beds.
We’ve just gotten married. We were about to get married about a month after she got out. And I just thought that this was probably the best way to go rather than an actual honest to goodness hospital bed. Oh, yes, she liked the bed, and she still loves the bed. We got it with memory foam. She can raise her side separately from mine. And we just love it! And I was telling the woman from Craftmatic who called me several days ago that this memory foam is like sleeping on a cloud except you don’t have to worry about falling through. We didn’t get the heater. And I’ve got a bad back, she’s got a bad back.
It’s just a wonderful bed. I’m 65, she’s 60, and we would recommend it for anybody. Spend the bucks. It’s going to last a long time. It’s a quality bed. And it just affords so much comfort.

I was having some back trouble. I would wake up in the morning and my back was hurting so I got this Craftmatic. It’s so good and it helped with my back pain. I didn’t get the heat but I do use the vibrating part sometimes.
I don’t know of any problems when it comes to their team. The only thing I was told when I bought it (I understand they changed hands or something, and I never would believe any one of them again) was he said, “Now, whenever you need a new mattress, it’s for free.” So when I got ready and need a new mattress, “Well ma'am, we don’t do that.” I said, “Well, that’s what I was told when they put the mattress in, standing in there in my bedroom.” So I paid a big price for the new mattress. I replaced the mattress a little while back and I don’t really know if I would have had to or not. I don’t know if I was looking for another bed like that.
When I got the new mattress, I was beginning to have some problems in my back. It turned out to be a bad hip. Evidently, the bed I was sleeping on was not right some way or other. The mattress was not right. I might not have really needed to change the mattress, but I did and it was pretty expensive. I don’t know whether I will go with a Craftmatic or not. I would have to look around because it’s good, it has served me well, but there are a lot of other beds out there. So I just don’t know which would be the best.

I decided to get in contact with them because I had a mother-in-law that needed a bed with some of those options. She couldn’t get in and out of bed on her own without the lift, and this bed helps her greatly. However, the experience with delivery was not real well. It went okay with the salesperson. We had an issue with them delivering it.
When I had asked for them to do it, they didn’t show up the first time when they were supposed to. Then they rescheduled. I finally called and asked them to find someone else to deliver it. Craftmatic told me they did and the same people showed up again. I would not hesitate to shoot at them the next time they showed up on my property. It was that bad. They were so rude and disrespectful. What you need to understand is I was a truck driver by trade. We own a trucking company. When somebody’s giving me excuses about a truck and getting it in my driveway when I drive a truck into my driveway every week, I don’t want to hear it. So when they’re telling me, “We can’t do this and we can’t do that,” it’s going nowhere. I don’t want to hear excuses. So when all of that was happening from some 20 to 30-year-old men that thought they knew better than I did, it was very disrespectful.
I tried to cancel the transaction. And they assured me they would have somebody else bring it. Then the same people showed up. So I complained up one thing down the other. It probably took me hours on the phone. I finally had to just let them in to do it which was the most defeating thing. I mean, you have an elderly mother-in-law moving in with you and you have to have a bed and this is the only people that will show up with it? You’ve got to be kidding me. So it was not Craftmatic I had a problem with, it was their delivery company. It was frustrating.

And then the mesh came undone and wrapped around my esophagus and my stomach. And so I had to have about an eighth of my stomach removed and my esophagus removed in July of 2011. And once that was done, I was not allowed to lay flat at all anymore and I have to be in an elevated bed like that the rest of my life.
We live in Cincinnati and we had to be in Cleveland, Ohio for 10 weeks after the surgery because I had a feeding tube. So I called Craftmatic bed about two days after I was back at that apartment because I just couldn’t sleep. I told them what the situation was and they did a fantastic job. I got it within three to four days. They brought it to Cleveland, charged me no shipping and actually reduced the price about $1200 for me on the bed. And then, of course, I had to have it shipped back to Cincinnati when I was ready. And they saved all the boxes for me. And when it was time to go back home, they came in, boxed it up, and shipped it back to me for like $300 instead of some ungodly price. I just couldn’t believe. I thought it would be a whole lot more expensive than that. So that is why I have my Craftmatic bed.
I could not have asked for anything better. When they got to the house, the people who they have here to set it up did a great job. They came in and actually set it up for me again. And I couldn’t ask for a better experience with them. The salesperson was great, just all the service and the customer service that we received. They had to work out delivering the bed since it was in a huge apartment complex downtown. They had all the information. I didn’t have to be involved. I was really sick and on a feeding tube so they were absolutely wonderful.

I found Craftmatic on the internet. We had a nice bed but I wanted an adjustable bed because of I have a sleeping problem. Anyway, I was kind of shopping around for another bed. My other bed was fine. I was sleeping up on pillows and I have a bad back. I have degenerative joint disease. So anyway, I was calling around and it was a good price and everything and I told them what I had for money. I said I got about $2000 I can spend on a new bed. Well, he didn’t think he could do that. And I said, “Well, that’s bad. I’ll have to shop around somewhere else.” Well, he called me back with a number of $2500. So that’s what I got it for. I am satisfied with the bed as far as it going up and down and adjusting it the way I want, but the mattresses aren’t worth ** on them. I’m not pleased with them. When you tip it up, I’ll get up and down and try to fix my bed, it feels like there’s a big bulge under my back when I’ve got in maybe a 45-degree angle, and that’s what I sleep at. The mattress could use more cushioning. I’ve had it two years.
I haven’t tried calling them about this. They said they come right from the factory. It’s a split king and when my husband’s mattress is on the bed as far as it should be, right even with the edges of the box spring or the thing underneath, mine’s off about two inches. I tried to get his centered about right and get mine over a little bit. We just made do. I am not bothering anybody. I’m not a complainer.
The delivery people were fine. They were great guys. And I did call the company at the time that they delivered the bed. They took my old bed down, took it out, and the mattress on that bed was only maybe a year or two old. It was a pillow top and the side of the mattress got torn. The mattress was still like brand new. And I told the moving company about it and they said, “Well, what do you want us to do about it? You got to call Craftmatic over it.” So when I called Craftmatic, Craftmatic said that it was up to the movers. So when I called them back again and told them what happened, I said they were really nice, took the bed down, put the bed together. They said they weren’t supposed to take any beds down and put them together. I said, “Look, all I know is what my agreement was with the company.” I said, “I’m not going to bother calling anybody else.” So I never did.
I’m not angry with the whole experience. I’m not really dissatisfied but I’m not really satisfied. Because it seems to me, if those had come directly from the factory which I was told they’d be coming out of Kentucky or whatever, it seems to me even though you connected the two beds together, the mattresses should fit both sides of the bed right to the edge, not out over it. But every now and then, I have to tell my dog, “Move, I got to push the mattress back on the bed." I have a pit bull terrier and she sleeps right between us.

I first heard about Craftmatic from my parents. My mom had a Craftmatic bed that she used to raise her head up to sleep. I needed to raise my head, I was interested in getting one. I looked them up on the internet and got in touch with them. The sales team was really good. However, I had a little problem with the delivery and they never came through. I got a king size bed. So that’s two singles and one bed is totally different than the other. They were supposed to deliver the right one and they never did do it. And then, with my health and everything, it just never got done.
But despite everything, this bed has greatly helped me with getting a better night’s sleep. I would definitely recommend Craftmatic. They really understood what I needed and were able to get me into one and saved me some dollars.

My wife and I love it! She used the massage quite a bit and I like being able to adjust it. And the bed has helped me with my bad back. Everything from the ordering to the delivery went well. I didn’t have any problems. They came in, set it up, showed us how to operate the bed and took all their cardboard stuff with them. I had no problem with them. I would definitely recommend Craftmatic to anyone.

I just had back surgery and could not get on my bed. It was so high. Also, I needed something that was going to put my head on my bed up at all times. And so, my daughter went on the computer and checked all of the adjustable bed manufacturers and she came up with Craftmatic. The delivery went fine. My son-in-law came over and helped them set it up. It was the older guy and my son-in-law who set it up and it didn’t take them long.
The first time I slept on it, I could tell the difference because at the time, I was having to go down to the floor to sleep. We just slept on a mattress on the floor, which was terrible. I couldn’t get on my bed because it was way too high. But this bed, I can adjust if I needed a little bit or 100% and it’s just really, really made it easier for me. It has helped me with my back problems 100%. I don’t use the massage feature because I have a motion problem but just keeping my head at my bed up, and if I have reflux, it helps that. It’s terrific!

I had a Craftmatic many, many years ago and it was time for me to change it. So I went back to them because I was very satisfied. I’m more comfortable in the bed, adjusting the head and the bottom. And my legs get swollen sometimes so I have to elevate them. And it’s a comfortable bed. The sales representative was very, very nice. I dealt with him over the phone. Delivery here was very good. They came in and they set it up, showed me how to use it. I was very comfortable with them. I like the experience that I’ve had with Craftmatic and I would recommend it.

We were in the market for adjustable bed because I have health problem. We saw Craftmatic on a television commercial and decided to contact them. The sales representative was exceedingly helpful and the delivery truck team was perfect, and it went very well. They were courteous and they showed us how to operate the bed. I like it. I am not sleeping at night, but that’s to be expected. I raise my feet and head, and I like the massage. I haven’t seen a great deal of improvement, but I certainly haven't been worse. Overall, I’d say Craftmatic did what it promised and it has been worth the expenditure.

The one who uses the bed is very tall so we were looking for a bed that would fit him and that would last a long time. And the Craftmatic bed raises his feet. He’s supposed to sleep with his feet up in the air basically and it has helped him with that. And it has just helped his overall sleeping.
The salesperson at Craftmatic was extremely helpful. They were the ones that told us which linens to buy. They were the ones that told us we needed an extra-long bed because of his height, those kinds of things. The delivery people were very good. They set it up. We didn’t have any issues with it at all.

I had MS and I needed something close to a hospital bed and so I opted to get in touch with Craftmatic. I had gone to Bob’s Furniture and tried their bed and I wanted something I saw that vibrated but it made a lot of noise. And so I said, “Okay. That’s not exactly what I want.” The price was a more reasonable price. But I opted to go with Craftmatic.
I’m now sorry that I have but it is what it is. I don’t get the full satisfaction of the bed. It’s not as comfortable as the bed I saw at the boutique. And I’m not completely happy with it because the sheets won’t stay on it. I had to have adjustments made to it. I had to have it lowered or something or other.
The experience with the sales rep and the delivery was good. They were pretty much helpful and knowledgeable and showed how to work the bed. But I’d give them a 2. Don’t make a purchase unless you had true interaction with the bed before you make the purchase.

I can’t remember how I first heard of Craftmatic. It was early in 2011. My father had been living in a retirement home but they had different levels of care and he was in an independent condominium. And it became apparent that he was going to have to move up, as we called it, to the big house where it was more confined. And he was having a lot of issues. He was 84, and we all decided that he was going to move to my house. We have an exposed basement and there’s a suite in there of a handicap-accessible bathroom and we just decided he needed a bed like Craftmatic. And I had no idea if I first just went on the internet and looked at it or if I saw an ad somewhere. I don’t remember. It was just sort of an awful time that we decided to buy it. And it was delivered and it worked great and my father had passed away. He passed away August of 2011 and we just kept the bed in a sort of a guestroom.
I had both of my shoulders replaced this year, and I slept in this bed a lot recovering from those. Our guests like it even if they don’t use the tilt factor and the massage. But we keep it here and it’s great. I’ve had no issue. The bed helped me recover from the surgery because I couldn’t move my shoulders so I had to elevate myself up. It’s nice and I really like it! I like that it raises up and down, both the feet and the head. And I also like the fact that when you lie on it flat, it feels like a good regular bed and you don’t feel anything. So the going up and down feature is great. I’d recommend it to anybody because they helped rapidly in a kind of a crisis mode. It was great. It feels so good!!!
I honestly can’t remember how the interaction with the sales and delivery went because it was a time of very high stress for me. But I do remember that there were a lot of things. Like we got a chairlift and that was a big problem, and so I think the bed went great. Everything worked fine and we never needed any more attention.

I was looking for a bed that would lift and be easy to get in and out as I have issues of getting in and out of bed. It’s hard and the Craftmatic was the best thing I’ve seen. The bed is fulfilling my needs and it’s helping me. I get a better night’s sleep. Interactions with the sales and delivery people were fine. The Craftmatic is a wonderful bed.

In 1984, I had a stomach ulcer and I was having trouble with acid reflux. And propping up my bed didn’t seem to be the answer. The Craftmatic bed helped with the acid reflux, getting the upper part of my torso up. We bought new mattresses maybe 10 years ago. So it has lasted quite a while. The bed helped me overcome the problem I had.

We bought the Craftmatic bed about four or five years ago. So I don’t remember how it was that we decided to contact them. But we’re happy with it. I had back surgery so I thought I’m going to try that because I like sitting in a recliner so it will help if I can do that. We enjoy the bed. It’s a good bed and I’m glad we have it. The sales guy was all right. He’s an older guy and he was okay. The delivery went well. I tried to call back to get another one for my father and that kind of turned into a little fiasco so we ended up not doing that. But what we have, yes we do like it. My daughter’s interested in a couple but not right now. But they are nice beds and I like it.
We have a business also and repeat customers and things of that nature, we always try to give them a little break. And it was like they didn’t take into account that we had already bought two and wanted a third one. And I like I said, my daughter wants to buy one for her and her husband. We bought two and just put them together. They might want to look at something like an incentive for a return customer.

I had heard about Craftmatic on TV and we purchased it for my husband’s grandparents. That’s James. So it’s registered in their name. They were in need of a bed that was easy for them to get in and out of and for ease of mobility and everything. They were pretty old and she had some serious health issues. And the bed is helping with that. It makes it really easy. And Craftmatic is the only company that has the split queen. So that also helped in the decision. Everything went really well with the delivery and installation. There was a problem with one of the massage motors but they were able to get it fixed with a different part right away, and everything was good. The overall experience was easy and quick. We’d definitely do it again.
