Expensive IKEA quality furniture. Customer service is horrible. Went to Orlando/Millenia location. I had the worst salesperson, he didn’t know anything about the furniture. He couldn’t guide me with the entertainment system configurations. Three months later delivery date scheduled, four hour window provided day before. Furniture arrived and looked like it fell off a hill and was boxed up afterwards. Driver and helper dropped off furniture and ran before I could completely inspect. Reordered with customer service via text because I couldn’t get anyone on the phone after purchase. Rep gave me different dates and I told her I needed everything delivered on one day, I work and can’t take days off for this. She agreed and rescheduled delivery for late August.
Day of delivery only half the items were addressed, texted customer service AGAIN, they said some things were on back order and out of their control. I continued to explain that I wanted everything delivered together and she just kept repeating back order… I’m completely done with any future purchasing from this establishment. They obviously don’t care about the customer.

If you are going to buy a sectional sofa at City Furniture make sure you order it correctly (right or left). Once they deliver the furnitures to you, you do not have the right to change it, even within 24 hours after delivery and offering to pay for the service. Terrible customer service and horrible policy. I don't want you to have a bad experience like mine.

The worst experience I’ve ever had as a consumer. I’ve purchased several pieces from City Furniture but this will be my last. I purchased a sectional in June with an estimated delivery date of 8/14, on 8/13 I received confirmation of delivery for 8/14 @ 10:am. On the delivery date I received a call at 8am from the driver informing me that the sectional will only be delivered with HALF the sofa feet and no head rest. YES!! I said HALF THE SOFA FEET (take a minute to picture that). The items (other half of sofa feet & head rest) were on back order until October. I understand that we are in the middle of a global pandemic and delays are being experienced everywhere, but to not notify me prior and waiting till it's being delivered is absolutely unacceptable..
They were going to deliver a defective couch. I informed the driver not to deliver the couch and proceeded to visit the City Furniture in Tamarac FL (where it was purchased) at 10:30am on 8/14/21 and spoke with the manager, she was very dismissive and essentially told me to wait until October or cancel my order, no let’s see what we can do, look into why I was not contacted prior, no apologies for lack of communication on their part. Basically she told me to kick rocks. So I cancelled my order. Not so much for the delay but for the screw you attitude the manager had. The lack of customer service is unreal.

I bought a dinner table set in April/2021, the sales associate told me that the delivery could take about 30 days it because COVID delays and everything. I just got text messages about it in JUN/9th/21 saying that I would receive part of my purchase at JUN/11th/21. I definitely received the 06 chairs and the dinner table base and I got another message saying that I could expect the dinner marble top be delivered in AUG/10th/21. So it’s 4 months already and I didn’t get text msg, phone calls or whatever informing me about my delivery. For now I’m still trying solve the problem but in advance I strongly don’t recommend the CITY FURNITURE AT ALL. By the way, I’ve paying my finance since 15 days after that I purchased it.

I ordered a bed and waited for 3 months to revive it. Every week I got a text message says the item is in the way and in the same day of delivery I receive another message says, "Your item is not available," after three months I got a call from the driver. Says he is in his way to deliver part of the bed (the head) but when he came he dropped a stain remover but not the bed, can’t trust them anymore and never gonna buy any item from City Furniture. What make it worth that when I cancelled the order they didn’t refund my money in my debit card but they issued a check which I takes 10 days for me to receive it.

Bought a leather sectional from them in January 2021 (6 months ago) but it arrived without one of the seat cushions. Spoke to their department but they said it would take 2 months before the part would get here (totally unacceptable). 6 months later and 3 times they've changed the date and now they tell me it's not going to get here till August (another lie). Worst experience I've ever had. Lies after lies. Do yourself a favor and don't sign anything if your order is not 100% complete otherwise you will never get the items.
**Update: Vendor responded saying it's out of their hands. 3 different changes and 8 months constitutes negligence on their part. They don't want to fix their mistake. After spending an hour with someone today, they have now said it's August till they can fix my issue. Worst customer service. They promise the world but don't want to deliver on their promises. I'm not even bringing up the fact that I've never received a penny for all this inconvenience.

I made a purchase of the BH ELBA GRAY LEATHER RIGHT POWER RECLINER, LEFT POWER RECLINER AND WEDGE (3 pieces) WITH 3yr in Home Service with premium delivery (very poor). We received the delivery a month after purchase. The delivery service was poor. (So much for Premium Delivery). They scratched our floors and put the furniture together very carelessly. In mid April, less than a month of having this piece, it broke. As my husband got up from one of the seats it made a loud sound and completely deflated. For our surprise a piece of wood from the seat frame was hanging off the bottom of the seat with nails sticking out. We followed all procedures by calling customer service and submitting pictures.
We received an In home visit which was submitted to you stating the piece of furniture needed to be replaced. The delivery for the replacement furniture was scheduled for June 12th. This delivery was never made and there was no notification of this service being cancelled. We are still waiting on said delivery or a follow up call from City Furniture. Having a broken piece of furniture where there are small children is a liability, and my children are at risk of getting injured with these nails, but I’m assuming you do not care about your customers. People stay away from this company, they do not know how to take care of their customers. I will never buy from you again.

Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY ANYTHING at City Furniture. I bought a bed and came all broken out of the box. I tried to contact them so many times by phone without any luck until I decided to go to the store. I spoke with the sales associate and he gave me the steps to follow in order to get my bed replaced cause it was clearly damaged. Never solved anything. Last time I was in the store again they were hiding from me. Bottom line I got a broken bed in the middle of my living room and my money deducted from my bank account. Never again.

I purchased a sectional, King Bed, and King Mattress on June 12, 2021. My experience with the sales guy was fine. He understood what I was looking for and that I needed it immediately. So he looked up like items that were in stock for me choose from. The bed I liked was not in stock but due in a couple of days so I purchased all items, paid cash, and delivery was set for June 22 between 4:30p & 7:30p (I was notified of the window of time the day prior which is standard).
I blocked out my afternoon to be home in time. At 8p on the 22nd, the driver called me and said they would be there shortly. Which was odd because the tracker showed them at stop 10 of 13 which I was stop 13. An hour late, customer care called to tell me that the truck broke down and they had to reschedule delivery. Delivery was set for the 24th (no sense of urgency to get you next day) between 10a & 1p. At 9:30a, the driver called to let me know they would be there shortly. They arrived at 10a to deliver the sectional. They did not have the bed or the mattress nor did they have record of it. I told them the story and they laughed and said "good luck, this happens all of the time and we always have to hear about it. City sucks, even for us".
Upon calling customer care, I was told that because my original delivery was cancelled, the items I purchased were "unreserved" and resold resulting in a back order with a September arrival date. And was told that if I didn't want to wait, I would need to call my salesperson, go back to the store, and order an in-stock item. Funny...I did that the first time.
I called the store the next day to cancel order and get refund, preferably in cash as that is how I paid. The salesperson chuckled and said they don't do that and would process a check. I asked to speak to a manager and he said someone would call me first thing in the morning, which I knew would not happen. Next day at 1p I call the store to ask for a manager (nope - never received a callback), with only having the sales associate ask me what for... I explained and she chuckled, and said that will never happen and that it should have been explained to me upon purchasing. I still asked to speak to a manager which she replied with, "Okay, but you will get nowhere". She was correct.. I settled for the refund via check which will take approximately 10 days.
None of that is the point here. The main thing is that I never received an apology, everyone I encountered with the exception of the original salesperson acknowledged that these things happen all of the time, and the team seems to be immune to the complaints. Even the 825 complaints on the BBB site are all canned responses. Bottom line, buyer beware.... not of the product, but of the extremely poor service, lack of care or respect, and unavoidable hassles... By the way... This was the second time I've purchased from this place and received the same delivery and service issues. Only difference is that I received everything I ordered in one delivery that time. I learned my lesson now... Order via PRIME!!!! :)

City Furniture does not stand behind its products. They sell you defective furniture with “fake” insurance. When my sofas started to peel and the leather began to discolor we immediately called them and they sent out a man with some paint and a blow dryer. The problem was not resolved and then COVID-19 happened so they weren’t able to send anyone to our home. We were patient and understood. Now, they are saying that it is past the warranty period and will not fix or replace my sofa. I do not recommend City Furniture to my worst enemy. Stay far away from this store.

City Furniture takes the fun out of buying furniture and makes it a nightmare. The couch we bought came in damaged, they sent us another couch and again damaged. We also ordered other furniture and that came in damaged, we put in a claim on-line, as they instruct you to, it's been over 1 week and we haven't heard from anyone as of yet..
Their customer service is the WORST!!! They over talk you and try to butter up the situation, like it's your fault. When you lose your temper because of their attitudes, you can hear them typing in the background (you can imagine what they are typing). You have to wait an easy hour just to get a live person on the phone and then they put you on hold. They are the worst in South Florida!!!! Advice: go elsewhere for your homes furniture..

In an effort to finally obtain a resolution, I decided to let the CF technicians deliver the bed rails and set up the bed with the mattress stand and adjust the legs on the mattress stand. I was assured in the last two responses by CF in my BBB claim that the mattress stand Is compatible with the bed stand if the legs were adjusted... Well, as I previously stated, the CF technicians again said the mattress stand IS NOT compatible with the bed...
I was in contact with the CF corporate support line shortly thereafter, at which point I was told that I can choose another bedroom set, BUY THE COMPATIBLE MATTRESS STAND or return the bedroom set for a refund but I was not allowed to return the mattress and mattress stand that I purchased as a set with the bedroom set... This is fraud on a few different accounts! The only resolution for me at this point is to give me the compatible mattress stand for the bedroom set that you sold me or give me a full refund for all of the pieces I purchased!

I ordered a sleeper sofa on 3/29/21 that was in stock according to my Sales Associate and would be delivered April 6, 2021. The Associate called later in the day to confirm the April 6 date and I received an email with that date. I was contacted a day or two later by the Associate who said the delivery needed to be moved to the following day, April 7. She also stated that the mattress wouldn't be available until April 11 when it would be delivered and installed. I expressed my disappointment at hearing this. I told the Sales Associate that I would be away from home in the afternoon of April 7, leaving my husband to accept delivery. She said that is not a problem and I would be contacted shortly before delivery. I received an email asking for confirmation of the date and time.
I clicked "Confirm" and sent the email. I also received a text to that effect to which I responded "OK". While I was in a meeting April 7 afternoon, the delivery driver called me and the message went to my voicemail. By the time I picked up the message 45 minutes had passed. When I returned the call I received a response saying the voice mailbox hadn't been set up so no message could be left. The furniture was never delivered and was noted as "cancelled" because no one was home. I assume the driver or his supervisor made this determination. My husband was home all day and evening. No one knocked on the door despite my having indicated twice that the date and time were fine.
My two attempts to reach the sales associate for help were unsuccessful and only voicemails could be left. She never returned my calls. I then spent 30 minutes on hold, waiting for a customer care representative to help me. After relating the problem to this individual, I found myself arguing with him over the fact that his records showed that I had cancelled the order. Despite telling him that the company cancelled the order and that my husband was there to accept the order, it fell on deaf ears. Between the lies I had been told about the actual availability of the sofa, the frustration over the driver's call, the lack of courtesy of the customer care rep, I reached a point where I told him finally to cancel the order.
I had no confidence that the sofa, in its entirety, would be delivered completely or on the date I would be told. He then told me I would be charged a $99 restocking fee because I had cancelled the order. Being furious at this point, I asked to speak to his supervisor. After another 5 minutes on hold, I finally was helped by "Shanique", (no last name provided), who said she worked at Corporate in Fort Lauderdale. After I related my disappointment with the lack of customer service, professionalism and courtesy, she asked if I might choose another sofa. Speaking with Shanique was a total change. She made every effort to rectify the "damage" from the prior conversation. In a very calm, courteous way, she listened to me without interruption.
She offered the option of choosing another sofa that might be in stock however I did not plan to visit another City Furniture showroom. I told her that I would not accept a $99 restocking fee and would tell my Facebook friends about my experience as well as the Florida Dept. of Consumer Services. The only good thing about my experience was being helped by Shanique who waived the fee. She could teach the City Furniture people, with whom I dealt, lessons in courtesy, honesty and professionalism.

I want to share with you the experience I went through when ordering my Office Equipment back in February of this year. I was to receive the rest of my office furniture yesterday between the hours of 12:00pm and 3:00pm (Both stated in text and email). At 9:57am, I received a call from the driver - stating he's 15 minutes away. I said I unfortunately will not be there until 12:00pm. He said, "Are you sure, we are close." I said, "I'm at work. I will be there by noon." He said ok.
At 10:12am I received a call from the other driver on a different number - stating they were really close and we should take this now. I said I could not because I was not at home. He said, "Well I have to go over the bridge so we won't be there by 12:00pm." I said, "I don't mind what time it is as long as it is past 12:00pm." He said, "Fine," and hung up the phone. At 10:14am sensing there would be an issue with getting my furniture I called Customer Care. I received a call back from them at 10:25am from a gentleman stating he would reach out to the driver, he placed me on hold, came back said, "I couldn't get a hold of them, but would keep trying and let you know." I said ok.
At 1:42pm received a call from Stephanie from Customer Care - Stated they received a message from the driver that my furniture had scratches on it and would need to deliver it some other day. I told Stephanie, that sounds awfully fishy to me given the fact they are not at my house, I would assume these are in boxes, how did they know this prior to getting here and went on to tell her the story of what I have dealt with in the morning. She said she did not know of the story. And I asked that they still bring it by because I needed the desk, and that we can change it out later the following week if that works. Stephanie said, "Absolutely," and went to contact the driver of this (Though she never called me back letting me know.)
At 2:45pm - I realize I am not getting my furniture because Customer care would not pick up and the drivers were not answering. I placed my phone number in queue hoping to get a call back. At 4:45pm - received a call from Ambria, told her the entire story above. She called both numbers I had and informed me that the drivers were done for the day, and if I would like to speak to a manager. I said yes.
At 5:34pm - The manager finally gets on the phone to talk to me, and I went on to explain the entire story above. His name was Ivan, and he could not be any less empathetic or sorry for the issue if he tried. He offered me a few options, option one, I can drive 3 hours to pick up the furniture in the city of Tamarac, option two, Go to the store to find something else, option three, Ask for a refund, or option four get my items on Saturday. I was furious at this point, I said, "No one is held accountable for this, I had to take off early from work to accept a delivery and you did not hold up your end of the bargain."
I said, "Going to Tamarac is insulting to me and the fact you said it was arrogant beyond purpose, I can't get new furniture, it would take more time to come in and even more time to hope it would be delivered. Option Four is the same issue, how do I know you will bring in Saturday, or ruin it, or both." Ivan offered nothing in the way of help. Could he have offered 5% off my furniture, $200 off for inconvenience, take of the installation charge? NOTHING. They screwed me over, I spent the entire day on the phone with them, and I knew they were going to do this before 10:30 that morning. I have spent $10,000 with this company and I promise you after this experience, I will never be doing business with City Furniture EVER AGAIN!

I purchased a house full of furniture during 2020 including stain removal warranty (empty stores during the pandemic) from City Furniture. In March 2021 my 5 month old puppy urinated on the couch saturating the entire cushion and some surrounding cushions. I immediately contacted and filed a warranty claim. Supplying pictures and info. I was made to wait 11 days for a technician to come to my home to verify the damage. The technician was in my home for less than 5 minutes, took 2 pictures and made no attempts to rectify and stated he would submit the report.
City Furniture called me 2 hours later to inform me they are not going to honor the warranty. Their reasoning was that after we submitted the claim we washed the cushions. Apparently at City Furniture it is an acceptable request to expect a customer to leave urine stained, harsh smelling cushions in your home for 11 days waiting on their 3rd party technicians. Please do your research before purchasing from THIS company. The reviews do not lie. They are con artists and will hold tight to your money, once it is in their hands. I would absolutely recommend making your furniture purchase at literally ANY OTHER RETAIL FURNITURE STORE and NOT at City Furniture. This Company has the WORST customer SERVICE that I have experienced in my life. Lies and poor customer service are all that we have received from the "customer service" dept at City Furniture. From our first encounter with a sales rep, to our order over the phone, to our cancellation and to our STILL NO REFUND from the accounting dept of almost $5000, this company has proven over and over again why NOT to give them your business. You cannot reach a single person via phone, a supervisor...nope! I don't think one exists. Customer Service will not LET you speak to anyone that holds the authority to refund your purchase.
It's a complete runaround SCAM and constant lying by each rep we have dealt with!! If this sounds like your idea of a GREAT shopping experience...then THIS IS the place for you. It has been over a week now, and they still have refused to credit our card for our refund on the canceled order. If after reading all of the reviews on Facebook, Consumer Affairs, and the BBB, you still decide to make a purchase from them; you had better not be too attached to your money. I received news that they will send us replacement pieces mid March. I am cautiously optimistic, given the fact that the delivery date of the fabric has already been postponed 7 times. I completely understand that now, with Covid, it is a challenging time and delays are possible.
I just want to add that the people from customer service were always friendly. It just always took a lot of time to get through the chat queue, for me to explain everything again (I actually started word documents so I could copy paste my explanation), they tried to talk with their managers... but the answer was always the same: there was no other solution than to wait. And every time I contacted them "Hi, is the order arriving as promised?", I was informed another delay. I have saved on my computer about 15 chats, calls were just not useful as the explaining took forever, my e-mails remained unanswered.

This is my second experience with City and I should have learned from my first. My first purchase was bought in November and did not arrive until March a few years ago. However, at that time the communications from the company were somewhat better.
This time I purchased a dining buffet in December 2020 which was backordered. I was already prepared to have a delay. It was not in stock until January 18, 2021. I paid the FULL amount on my credit card for the piece I would not see for over a month. January 16, 2021 still had not heard from anyone regarding my delivery for Saturday. I called to find out that it was still back ordered and was not arriving now until Jan 30, 2021. Jan 30, 2021 the piece arrives and it is damaged on the wood in at least three or more places which I could have fixed or even live with.
In addition, the mirrored glass on the front is scratched and they cannot "fix/replace" that. I must have won the lottery and now I get to have another delivery! I called about one hour after the damaged furniture was delivered and it only took me two hours on hold to get through to a person. It was super convenient! FINALLY, I got a new delivery date for February 7, 2021. I am getting just a bit smarter each time, so this time I got on the chat function on Friday Feb 5, 2021 to confirm my delivery for Sunday and check that all is well.
According to “Patrick” all is good and delivery is scheduled for Sunday. I ask what do I do if I have any problems. He gave me a number that I could call or he said just use the chat again but he ensured me all would be fine. Saturday evening at 6:14pm, I got the text with the delivery window of 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on 2/5/21 and I was to text OK to confirm. I confirmed at 6:15 pm. The next morning, I used the tracker to see where I was in the queue. I was #11 and I kept track on my delivery until their app stopped working. Around 3:30pm I had not heard anything and the app was not working anymore.
I got back on the chat and was number 5 in the queue. At 5:05pm the chat disconnected me before I ever got to connect with anyone. I called the number that “Patrick” had given me. It was not the right number, it was online sales and they could not possibly transfer me or help me in any way. I called back again this time only waiting about 20 minutes, to finally get someone on the line. To my surprise the customer service woman told me that I was NOT scheduled to get a delivery that day and the piece was BACKORDERED! OMG, I thought I was going to lose my mind.
On Superbowl Sunday I waited all day long for a delivery they told me was coming several different ways but when it was not on the truck NO ONE called, emailed or text me?? They waited for me to wait on hold for eternity for them. When I expressed my frustrations they basically said “Can I reschedule your delivery for when it's back in stock?”. That is it, they don’t care about your time, your wasted day, nothing. BEWARE! They also don’t care how long you have to wait for your furniture, why would they, they have your money! You are the one paying the interest when you don’t even have the pieces. They will not ever be truthful as to when the dates and times the pieces will be in stock. It changes all the time and they never let you know. Believe the other reviews out there, they are absolutely true! Go somewhere else. Save yourself the nightmare of this company!

My wife and I are a couple of Seniors (73 & 67 respectively). My wife went to the Store located at 18750 South Dixie Hwy in Cutler Bay, Fl. with some friends & was persuaded by a very nice young salesperson (who would have known?) on 01/22/2021 to purchase Two (2) Serna Sleepers Elite Mattresses on Sale for $899/ea, when on several other stores - the same mattresses were priced at $699/ea. But that is not the issue!
The delivery was done at 4:30 pm on Saturday 02/06/21, and this is when our nightmare started! The mattresses delivered were not the same my wife tried at the store! Our mattress was like a Sponge (plush is one thing, this is like falling in a hole). Once you lie down you would Sink Five or Six Inches, we couldn’t turn, it was like climbing a Mountain on your back or your side. Couldn’t sleep that night & next morning on 02/07 immediately called that Nice young lady Salesperson to explain what did happen, and how could the problem be resolved? Well the answer was simple “that my wife did not buy a $70 Insurance just in case the Mattress Didn’t Meet our Expectations”. Insurance to try a Mattress?
Most of the stores we ever purchased from, All have an exchange policy, that if you for any reason are not completely satisfied with their the product, you would have at least 72 hours to return the item for “either a full refund or product exchange, with maybe a repackage fee”. Well these Crooks do neither! They make you call customer service and explain the problem. We called customer service, explained our problem and were told that the only thing they could do is “they would send a mattress expert within a week & that expert would decide if the mattress was defective & if that is the case then the store will exchange it for another”.
This City Furniture is as Crooked as They come! How come other Respected Stores such as: Amazon, Mattress Giant, Sears, Macy’s and other wonderful and respected stores, who backed their products and consider their clients satisfaction a priority?? Finally, it is clear that it was actually my wife’s mistake for going & buying from such a Crooked, Disrespectful and Un-trustworthy Store like City Furniture! This is Our True & Completely Verifiable Experience with City Furniture and would Sincerely Hope it Sheds some light & it Helps & Prevents others who are thinking of Buying Anything from them who they operate! Please don’t take my word for my experience & check other people’s Regretful reviews before buying from them. God Bless Reputable Businesses with Clients being their number One & Main Priority! Thank You!

After two staff members confirmed it was never ordered the manager tried to tell us it was ordered but had been allocated to someone else (ALL LIES). Manager didn't care. His attitude was disgusting. Don't be reeled in by their same day delivery and in stock items either, everything was out of stock with nothing was available for delivery for two weeks. Yes, I had no idea a sofa could come in different pieces, but boy I learned the hard way. It took my son and I almost two hours (the pieces were very heavy) to put it together, we had to give up because since this an electronic recliner they were some connections we were not able to figure out. We immediately called customer services, they said they were going to sent a service person Jan 13 (delivery date was Jan 2nd). The instructions you may ask... We had it but there was only two steps and the rest it was up to us to figure it out.. I am beyond dissatisfied and disappointed l was NEVER told that I had to build the entire sofa myself. I came on this platform to express how I felt and my frustration, first of all it is important to understand that for me it's not to come on social media to just trash the business, but rather to make them understand that we care about our time, which is basically our money and we coming to City furniture to have that good experience and be satisfied with what we purchase from them and that they value their words and promises they make to each and every one of us that walk in thru their doors.
In short I had a huge problem with them and am glad they fixed it, which is good for their business more than it is for me. I really thank Sophie, like I said, she got on top of it, and they delivered the bed my daughter wanted and frankly the bed is not abnormal like the previous one we got. The ETA for sectional is 11/20/20 and yet they invoiced since 10/10/20. I received the bill today for the City Furniture credit card due 11/4/20 for the whole $7400. You're paying interest and monthly payments on products you won't receive until one a month(s) later. However, I had been telling me to honor the price on the internet which was $200 less and the sofa was $100. They kept telling me, "Once we deliver the furniture and invoice it." It’s a scam because they had delivered the sofa and never gave me the $100.00 credit.
One of the end tables was damaged and now I have to wait for a repairman to come and see it. I contacted the sales representative immediately like 7:30 pm the day of delivery. He told me to call customer service the next day, which I did. I left a message and waited for them to contact me the next day. The service center told me to take pictures and load them on the website, which I did. Meanwhile between the call and email and loading the pictures the 24-hour time limit had passed. Let me preface this by saying I ordered a couch from here a month prior to this and everything was great, love the couch and had no issues. I decided to order two matching pillows so I went to the showroom I ordered my couch from and ordered them. Two different pillows arrived a week later so I called customer service and they told me to bring them to the store and that the correct ones would be there. They sent me the wrong ones so I would have expected they would ship me the new ones.
I tried calling a few days later to ensure the correct pillows would be there and I was on hold forever and the guy told me he couldn’t get a hold of the store but they would be there. So I go to the store for them to tell me they can’t accept the wrong pillows and asked me to take them elsewhere. THEY SEND ME THE WRONG PILLOWS AND EXPECT ME TO DRIVE TO A SECOND STORE NOWHERE NEARBY. My pillows are not there and then I waited at the store for 45 min for them to not be able to get ahold of customer service.
I just called customer service again and they ask me to go back to the store which is ridiculous. They also told me I would need to pick them up because my original order was a pick up (it was not, It was delivered to me). They tell me the invoice was wrong and that’s why I need to do that. HOW IS THAT MY FAULT THAT THE INVOICE WAS WRONG?
Finally after a 35 min call going back and forth they are going to send me the pillows which are back ordered and I have to wait weeks for them. I will also need to be there to give the wrong ones back. So they expect me to arrange my schedule to be home for 2 pillows to be delivered when I tried to return them to a store. I asked for a shipping label to return them and they said they can’t. Worst customer service experience of my life. Can't believe that instead of just sending me the correct order since they messed up it came down to this. I don’t think I will ever order from here again or encourage anyone else to after this.

And I also found out it's because it comes from China and if I would have known that I wouldn't have ordered it to begin with!

After 11 months of owning the Kevin Charles sectional one of my children were sitting on top of the sofa and the frame broke. The company refused to replace the part and offered only to repair it, 8 months later, it broke again. It is made of low grade particle board, with no sufficient structural support. A small child under 60 pounds, should not be heavy enough to break a piece of furniture that is supposed to be for a family. It is poor quality and the warranty and company do not back it up. I am so disappointed, in this product and in how the company has handled it. What is the point of buying a sectional for a family room that is not family proof! I’m livid, now so have to buy a new sectional, I should have waited instead to buy a good quality one that would last! This one will end up being more expensive in the end. Do not buy if you have kids!

I purchased tribeca dark tone server $899 plus taxes in Oct 2019, which is beautiful and I loved it while it lasted. After 5 months of purchase, one of the mount for the glass door lost stickiness (it’s glued on) and started to fall off. It created a huge safety concern because I have four kids at home. Contacted City Furniture right away and was told will need to verify by a technician. Paid $50 for the technician to come to my house to verify that the glass door is coming off. Had to reschedule twice because of Covid. Finally after another 3 months, in July 2020 the technician came to my house and verified my claim that the glass door is falling off; which is very obvious from photos. He notified city furniture and replacement part was ordered.
Now in September 2020, with no sight of the replacement part, called city, was told replacement part estimated arrival date is in November 2020, that would be after 1 year of warranty. I’m at the point that I think I may never receive the replacement part. Or city could easily say after 1 year warranty it’s not their responsibility. Suggested to give a new replacement of the entire server or store credit was told no. Also on the phone waiting 1-2 hours to speak to a warranty staff is something you need to deal with to get anything done. Consider all these before buying anything from them.

My wife and purchased over $2,000 worth of furniture. Everything was delivered about a month later which was not ideal but ok...however, when they delivered the king size bed, it came with everything BUT the headboard. How do you deliver a partial bed. We ordered the furniture in late July and we are STILL waiting for our headboard. (It is September.) We were told that “Covid” was to blame. Hmm, but yet we were able to get everything else? In addition, I purchased pieces from other furniture companies and received them in a timely manner. Then we were told “well you are not the only ones waiting.” How is that ok? That is even worse because it means the company has an inadequate system of delivery and/or inventory control. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again.

My husband and I purchased the Tahoe Dark Blue Fabric Loveseat on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Doral store #25 in Miami, Florida and it was delivered on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Within the first two weeks after accepting delivery, the tops and insides of both arm rests started to pill or develop fuzzballs on them. We called the store and customer service to ask if we could exchange it or receive a store credit, and they said that they don’t accept returns once an item has been delivered. So we asked them what they can do for us and they said, unfortunately we cannot not do anything for you, and that issue is just a "characteristic" of the fabric and to use a razor to "clean up" and "shave off" the fuzzballs as they develop.
So now, we are stuck with a defective loveseat that already looks bad. We have never had a sofa develop fuzzballs anywhere on the fabric at all, and especially only after two weeks in. We had to buy a protective cover to place on the loveseat to reduce the amount of pilling on the rest of the loveseat. Also, this loveseat replaced another one (from a different store) that we used in our den for 20 years with not one fuzzball on it... with daily use. Since this is obviously a "defect" in the fabric, it is very unfair to the customer that the sales person did not disclose that information to us at the time we purchased the loveseat. And it's also very unprofessional to have one of your customer service representatives tell us to "shave" the fuzzball off of the fabric. We are VERY UNHAPPY with this product and the response that customer service gave us. I've attached several photos of the pilling and/or fuzzballs on the loveseat.

The purchase was easy, but when we received the delivery it was a different story. My wife and I purchased 5 piece set of WHITE LEATHER SOFA, 2 RECLINERS & CORNER PIECE. 5/27/2020. Paid for 3 year stain removal home service, & delivery charges. We immediately complained to delivery people & to sales rep, & the supervisor. The complaint was very clear, our new sofas do not match in color, There are 3 different whites, one is almost grey, there is squeaking every time we open the recliners, leather quality is not at all what they claimed it to be in the showroom, also the bottom skirt around the edge of the set, do not match in length. There are creases in the leather that shows inferior workmanship to what they showed us in the showroom.
We called the store to ask them to replace the merchandise, they sent a representative to fix the squeaking BUT HE DID NOT FIX IT AND SAID HE COULD NOT DO ANY BETTER! THE SQUEAKING IS ANNOYING AND SHOULD NOT BE!. We called AGAIN, the supervisor of the store & complained about ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED, we were chatting for 3 long hours, He SAID THERE WAS NOTHING HE CAN DO. HIS HANDS WERE TIED. I recently opened a case for this company because they sent me products that were ruined and had missing pieces. I was told I would receive a refund on September 26th when they picked up the pieces. I still have not received a refund, when calling customer service they said it could be up to 5 days. It has been 5 days now and I still do not have a full refund for my bed purchase. They gave me a partial refund for the delivery fee and I am missing $782.31 to complete my refund. I will be taking legal action if they do not return my money.
Original Review: I purchased a bed that cost approx 1k once I added in the warranty for the bed. I ordered in August and planned for the shipment date to be August 31st, on the day that they come to deliver they are 2 hours late, so it's pitch black out almost 8pm, when it is delivered pieces are missing, and yet I do not have a voicemail or email that some pieces are backordered. Mind you, I already destroyed my bed the day of, trusting that all the pieces were together and that they would be able to set up the bed that day as they had promised. They still decide to bring in the pieces that are available, and those pieces are trashed. They have black stains everywhere.
I've spent around 2 hours on the phone just trying to reach customer service, and when I do reach them they tell me I have to call the sales department because it's not their problem. Yet again, I've been waiting over an hour to reach the sales department and my issue is still not resolved. I have a dirty headboard, missing parts, and now I get to sleep on the floor all because I trusted this company. Do not trust these people, they are a bunch of con artists!!!

We purchased a love seat in December. First they delivered the wrong piece and wouldn't let us open it before leaving. They finally returned and delivered the right piece. Two months later, the motor went out on one of the sides. After having to submit pictures and emailing back and forth we were told they would order the piece from China. Then COVID happened. We heard nothing from them for five months so we contacted them. They said they would just replace the piece. The delivery was scheduled for today. They were supposed to contact us yesterday for delivery time. That didn't happen. We tried calling but were kept on eternal hold so we checked the website. Delivery was scheduled for 11:30 - 2:30. At 2:39 they called and said they were en route. They showed up, took the old piece out and went to bring the new piece in.
When they found out that the box wouldn't fit through the front door, they said that since it was free delivery, they would leave it on the front porch. In South Florida. With a major thunderstorm coming - they would leave it on the front porch in a cardboard box! My son said that he would take care of it and luckily one of the drivers took pity on us as I am walking with a cane due to a recent injury. He helped my son take it out of the box and bring it into the house (it fit perfectly through the door once out of the box). This is the same delivery guy who had come in and moved the whole thing out by himself. The other delivery guy was the one who insisted that they leave it on the front porch. You would think that since City Furniture had sold us a defective piece, they would have done everything to insure that we were happy. Instead they send the piece with instructions to leave it at the front door.
We have furnished most of our house from City Furniture but will never buy from them again. They obviously do not care about customer satisfaction. As a comparison, we purchased a dining room table from Rooms to Go (also with free shipping). There were six guys that delivered it, put it together and then made sure that I was happy with where it was positioned under the chandelier before leaving. They were the nicest, most attentive delivery guys that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From now on, it will be Rooms to Go or any other furniture store that gets our business. BUYER BEWARE WITH CITY FURNITURE!

I purchase the Omaha Gray dining set, it was a quick purchase at the store. Now, when the set was delivered; I immediately notice one of the legs on the chairs was chipped and as they continue bringing the rest of the stuff 5 out of the 6 chairs we all chipped. I even had to returned one of them completely as the leg was completely cracked. One of the guys put me on the phone with customer care and they gave me two options: 1. take the table as is and they would give me $75 gift card or 2. they could have a tech coming in to "repair" the chairs. As I told them, I paid over $800.00 for the dining set, if I wanted a dining set in the condition I received this one I would of been better buying it from "offer up" and probably would have been in better condition, so of course I want my set fixed. They could only give me one or the other.
A week later they sent the technician and of course when he saw the condition of the chairs, he said it was better off replacing all the bottoms of the chairs, all he did was paint over a chip the table had. He said the parts would be sent to my house and he would come to replace them. I got a call from customer care and was told they be sending me the part 2-3 weeks. I called this week since it's been 3 weeks, and now they are telling me it will take up to 5 weeks. I am very disappointed with this purchase, you would never think to get the product in that condition when you are buying something new for a well known furniture store. I visited City Furniture of Naples, FL in early February when I was looking for furniture for my first apartment. I fell in love with the Savannah Ivory Mansion bedroom set and inquired about the prices in the collection. My sales rep was knowledgable and gave me a print out of all the pieces I inquired about. I did some research at other places and despite what I read about customer service at City Furniture, I felt confident that this was what I wanted. I returned to City Furniture in mid February to purchase the bedroom set (headboard, dresser w/ mirror and nightstand) and also bought a metal bed frame and hardware for the headboard. I was told that if I paid in full upfront that all of the pieces would be secured and delivered on my move-in date at the end of March.
I also purchased premium delivery as I live on the second floor reaching my total to $1,600. Before securing the purchase, my parents and I asked multiple times to ensure that the headboard I purchased would attach correctly into the metal frame I was advised to purchase. My sales rep assured us that it would work and even called over his supervisor to confirm that it would be fine. My sales rep even gave me his personal cell number to let me contact him if something went wrong with delivery or assembly.
The day before my scheduled delivery at the apartment, I received notification that only my nightstand, dresser and metal frame/ hardware would be delivered. Occupied with other move-in procedures, I did not automatically reach out. The delivery for the pieces went perfectly fine and the delivery people were courteous. I received a follow-up call from my sales rep to which I inquired about the missing pieces and how I was told that if I paid in full all would be delivered. He told me that due to the coronavirus pandemic all the shipments were delayed - which basically told me that they sold "my pieces" (that I paid for already) and they got screwed when shipments were delayed because they couldn't replace my pieces in time for delivery.
In April, my sales rep reached out again to schedule delivery for the headboard and mirror. The delivery people came and attached the mirror to the dresser, no problem. The headboard, however...I was told that the hardware that I purchased would not work for this headboard and to my greatest worry, the bed frame did not line up with the headboard to attach it. Due to policies, they were not allowed to screw into the wood (due to the possibility of the wood splitting) and suggested instead that I have someone else do it and also attach 3 command strips to the back and press it into the wall(?!?!). I paid $350 for this headboard and was appalled at what they were suggesting.
I immediately reached out to my sales rep and he was confused why it didn't work either and had me send him pictures of the problem. After some time, he said he spoke to a superior and they both realized their mistake. If I wanted to keep the headboard (which despite everything, I did, because it was the one piece of the collection that I loved which made me buy it in the first place) I was going to have to purchase the bed rails and accompanying footboard to attach everything in place. It still doesn't make sense to me since they sell the headboard by itself.
The rails and footboard came to another $350 which I really couldn't afford and asked him to see if he could lower the price - he came back and offered $200, plus premium delivery with no charge as long as I gave back the original bed frame and hardware to credit towards the account. I took the deal because at this point my headboard was just resting up against my wall and if I wanted to keep it, it really was the only option.
Fast forward - the delivery/ exchange was scheduled for this past Wednesday. Day before, no notification of my delivery (which was strange because with the past 2 deliveries that's what happened). Wednesday came and went. Nothing. Thursday, I spent over an hour on customer service and opened on the live chat option on the website and still couldn't get a hold of anyone. I jumped on the website to track my order and found a notification that said they were unable to schedule my delivery due to a remaining balance on the account.
The remaining balance is the $66 credit for the bed frame and hardware. I contacted my sales rep again today (5/1) and explained everything. He told me that they were supposed to credit the account and forgot to, so now my delivery is scheduled for Tuesday. I am so frustrated at this point; been waiting countless hours and spent more money than I originally wanted to. I know the world is a mess due to coronavirus now, but I've given them enough grace at this point. I've been appalled at the lack of common sense and customer service. I am just hoping everything works out next week.

Highly disappointed and appalled at City Furniture’s customer service and product quality control. I ordered a sectional sofa from City Furniture, Inc. on 04/05/2020 for $909.46 (SKU: 9714739). The product was delivered damaged on 04/10/2020, causing me to immediately file a damage report on the company's website. I took photos of the rips, stains, and dirt on the sofa to include in the damage report. A customer service representative contacted me later that day about sending a repair technician to "fix" the sofa (+1 (954) 718-3344). I explained the sofa had clearly been used. The customer representative said the repair technician has to determine if the damage is fixable or replacement is required.
The appointment for the repair tech to come out was made for 04/14/2020 between 9:30am-11:30am. The tech did not contact me within that timeframe so I called the number of the individual who told me the appointment time ("Doris," **). I left a voicemail asking when to expect the repair technician. The person called back and said she called the technician but he did not answer; leading her to believe he was with another customer. At this point, it was an hour after the timeframe the appointment was scheduled for. He arrived nearly two hours after the time frame I was originally told. The repair tech was an independent contractor; he was not an employee of City Furniture. He conveyed how poor the customer service was and that there was zero chance the used sofa would be replaced.
I am disappointed in the company's product control oversight for allowing a used and damaged product to be sold and delivered. The inconsistencies in City Furniture's customer service was quite frankly frustrating. While my damage report was addressed the same day, the repair technician did not show up nor contact me to let me know he was running behind schedule/would not be coming.
Following the repair tech finally arriving, customer service (a woman named Carmen) called me. She insisted the couch was not used and raised her voice to speak over me. I asked for the customer service email so I could email her the photos I took of the dirt caked on the bottom of the sofa, scraped legs, and stains. She then asked me “what amount I would want to be refunded to keep the couch.” Eventually, she told me she could give me a $200 store gift certificate. I declined and she said she would look into ordering a replacement sofa. The lack of concern or haste to resolve this issue shows that City Furniture, Inc. does not value it's customers or have regard for the quality of their products and service. I would save yourself the money, hassle, and frustration; buy your furniture somewhere else.

This occurred 4 times, and each time the rep could not give us any valid reason as to why. We understand that products go on back order from time to time, but to happen this many times, with no solution provided from City Furniture, is inexcusable. Instead of providing good customer service, we were told by Julie (Customer Service Manager) that their overseas vendor couldn't guarantee delivery and we could wait (AGAIN) or pick a different bed that they had in stock.

After countless phone calls and emails, they finally picked up the table in November. They issued a form indicating a credit would be made to my credit card company. Credit was NEVER issued. Citicard refuses to intervene and has rebilled me the full amount. Impossible to have someone from City Furniture call me back or answer letters. We ordered night stands with free delivery. They drop off beyond the front door and leave. One of the first two units was damaged so we ordered a replacement that came a week later. The replacement unit was dropped off. The delivery men left. Within 2 minutes I noticed a break in the box, saw the unit was cracked, and called them. They refused to come back. When I called for a replacement they said it would be another week. I escalated to a supervisor and all he could do was upgrade the delivery to premium which means they inspect the box before shipping it. Now I have to wait another week for a total of almost three weeks from the order.

We purchased almost all our furniture in City Furniture less than a year. We also did get the Guarantee for the furniture. Recently I noticed my dining chairs all rusty in the bottom part (legs). My dining table is on top of a rug and we literally have use like two times only. I call the customer service and followed all the steps for the claim. They send me a sub-contract technician who basically told me that maybe we had a dog hidden in our house and the rusty from the chairs are due to the dog peeing around the chairs. Imagine how we feel about I call again customer service just to find out that the report that the technician said that my chairs smell like dog pee. Apparently the technician was a expert on pee. I explained to the guy in the phone That we don’t own a dog so ever and my chairs just got rusty for no reason.
They send another technician who told that my chairs can’t be fixed but the decision come from the City furniture. Like two hours late somebody from the guarantee department call me just to said that my guarantee don’t cover that type of service. The thing is that I have rusty chairs plus no solution a guarantee that don’t cover nothing and on top of that I’m still paying for something that I don’t want. The furniture don’t have good quality. I ordered an entertainment center back in November and it was in stock at the time, so we scheduled delivery for the end of December. I called a few days before the scheduled delivery to see approximate time of delivery, only to find out they were now out of stock. So what they neglect to tell you when you order it, is if you don't schedule immediately delivery, they do not hold the item for you. They said more were coming in during January, so I scheduled a delivery for end of Jan.
Once it came in, I called to make sure item was in stock and that I was going to receive the item, only again to find out that you aren't guaranteed the item until one week before delivery. The last three times I called I waited 18 mins before an agent answered the first time, an hour the second time and now I have been waiting 15 mins and no agent. They tell you to check online and there is no information available other than they are preparing my item. Horrendous customer service. BUYERS BEWARE. I have been dealing with the City Furniture in Millennia for 7 months now and STILL do not have the furniture I’ve been paying for since my purchase in July. I visited the store during the grand opening and at that time was sold furniture that the store did not even sell. The sales associates order from iPads in the store, that show items not in the actual store but available online for delivery. However, come to find out the items I ordered were sold by a completely different furniture stores and not available at City Furniture. Lots of confusion between customer service, sales associates, managers and supervisors.
I’ve been to the store several times with no results and as of late have even had to pick night stands that aren’t part of my bedroom set, but I was given no other option. So I pick ones that partially match and guess what? THEY DON'T HAVE THOSE EITHER and these ones were physically in the store. I’ve been given the run around every single time I call and the only result each time is that the items are back ordered and I’m given a later date. 4 delivery dates later and still nothing with a concession of “refunded delivery fee” (how nice seeing as it’s NEVER BEEN DELIVERED). I’ve gone as high as the president in the organization for results and still here I sit on the date I was promised delivery to find out it’s pushed back another month.
Meanwhile I continue to make payments on a store credit card, on time as promised by me when I made a purchase expecting the promise from them I’d receive the furniture. I will never return to this company and would advise anyone thinking of using this company to run. The furniture I did receive is sub par as the couch cushions are already showing signs of wear and it rarely gets sat on. Save yourself the time and headache and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you value your time, money and sanity!!! VERY UNSATISFIED NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN!!

Every time someone sits in it the fabric wrinkles and it looks like someone has slept in it. A warranty person came on January 2, 2020. He told me that the couch wrinkles were a manufacturer’s defect.
I called the warranty dept on January 10, 2020. They claim that is not what the man said. They claim that he said it is what it is. I asked for a replacement but was told the manufacturer no longer makes the parts. I asked for a supervisor. He was rude and not very sympathetic. I live in Pittsburgh and I had purchased a bed and some bunky boards from City Furniture back just before Thanksgiving for my rental home in Florida. It was a King Size Black Panel Bed. I was planning on being in Florida for Thanksgiving week to visit some family so I had the bed scheduled for delivery while I was visiting since no one lives at the house and my other family members are over 3 hours away. Everything went smoothly right up until the time when the guys were assembling the bed.
When they went to put the legs in place to support the middle of the king bed, which apparently aren't part of the bed itself and have to be manufactured separately and the morning of the delivery according to the delivery guys/assemblers, they were too short to support the middle of the bed. They were literally pieces of 2X2's that you could buy at any Home Depot with attachments screwed into them to shove up under the middle support in the bed so it doesn't sag in the middle.
Bottom line.... couldn't use the bed. The delivery guys called the store and asked for a supervisor to see what they could do for me. Either no one in authority was available, which is hard to believe, or no one in authority wanted to deal with the situation at that point in time, which I find MORE likely. The delivery guy said "a supervisor will call you back within the hour" (which was 40 minutes). They told me there wasn't anything further that they could do at that point, so they just loaded up the bed, put it back in the truck, and drove away, leaving me with no bed for my renters, who were coming Dec 1 (which was in 5 days). I waited a few hours for the supervisor to call me back, which never happened, and STILL hasn't happened to this day, which is Jan 9, 2020. I ultimately was able to find another bed in short order and was able to get my home ready for my renters.
What I find reprehensible is this. Not only did no one call me back, which in and of itself is unacceptable, but then they didn't even bother to credit my account when they KNEW it was a failed delivery. They just kept my money and hoped that maybe I would just forget about it or something. My advice to the rest of you reading this would be as follows. You get what you pay for and in the case of City Furniture, you get a cheap product from a company that stinks in terms of customer service.

Come to find out the chair was damaged and waiting on a replacement. After no communication from City Furniture, I contacted the store and was told the chair would arrive on Dec 21st, which was good since I have company coming for Christmas and I needed the furniture. The chair did arrive on the 21st, and as soon as we unwrapped it it was visibly noticeable that the frame on one side was broken as the arm rest sagged on one side. I immediately contacted the store for repair/replacement and the rep asked if it was repairable, to which I indicated it was up to them to determine, although I preferred an exchange. I was offered a $75 Gift Certificate for me to keep as is. I refused. They offered to send a repair guy to fix. I insisted I wanted a replacement.
I was then offered a $200 Gift Certificate (to buy another potentially damaged item) or a $100 discount. I insisted I wanted the item I ordered to be replaced. we continued to speak and I was provided an exchange confirmation number and was told a small gift card ($25!!) would be sent to me, and a replacement chair would be delivered and damaged item to be picked up.
Fast forward to January 3, 2020 and I haven't heard or received anything. I contact the store (YET AGAIN) and find out the exchanged was in the system but was never scheduled for delivery! The Gift certificate for my inconveniences was also never processed so I was told (YET AGAIN) that I should receive that in 7-10 business days. SO here I am, January 3rd and haven't received the item I ordered on Nov. 23rd. As of now the replacement chair is scheduled to be delivered in 7 days. This is the second time I purchased from City Furniture. The first time was a purchase of white leather couch. Very expensive, did not arrive on the promised date and had to wait for back order without telling us. They notified us the day of the scheduled delivery. Called to complain and omg, the customer service was horrendously, spoke to the supervisor and didn’t show any remorse nor empathy.
So the second time I ordered I was skeptical about it but my son loved the bed so I went ahead and placed my order. So I was emailed a time frame or the delivery between 9a-6p. I waited all day, 458pm the driver called me and told me he will be at my house within an hour. 745pm came and I got a phone call from the driver that they’re not able to get in to my community. I told them that’s the reason why I chose the time frame that worked for me. So now my package was not delivered, my son was very disappointed after waiting all day for his bed.
So the next day I called, being it’s New Year’s Day I was told that there was no delivery. I requested to speak to the supervisor and I was on hold for like 10min, a woman got on the phone but she wasn’t a supervisor, she said she’s below a supervisor who handles escalated calls. So I had to explain again..I was told that she can request the delivery date for the following day but cannot put a time frame as to when the package will be delivered. I told her that unfortunately my husband and I will be working and won’t be home after 3pm. She couldn’t do anything so I asked for a real supervisor. I was placed on hold again for another 15min or so for a supervisor's named John ID ** in Tamarac Fl office, to tell me there’s nothing they could do as far as providing me a time frame as to when my package will be delivered. So screw me and my package because they will attempt to deliver the package In their convenience not the customer's request...
This was a disaster. Never never again... I have to tell my 12 yr old that his bed is not coming for another week because unfortunately I don’t have a day off that can accommodate the time they deliver my package. All they kept telling me was that they had no way to putting a request for the timeframe that would work for the customer.

After letting her know this was my first time shopping for furniture and there were things I was hesitant about she stated “If you’re going to worry about everything you won’t ever buy anything.” At this point I wanted to purchase my things and go. I walked to a different sales rep woman and asked her to take my order.
Susan then informed the lady she was helping me and then proceeded to say “Do you think we all look alike?”. She spoke with me days after getting my order to see if the delivery went well & when I asked her questions she refused to answer them since part of my order was done with another rep then hung up on me. I sat on hold for more than 5 hours total (3 phone calls) when I was finally told by the rep they could not help me and there was no manager to talk to me. When they finally deliver, look for the UPC sticker on the bottom (that indicates you are receiving returned/damaged furniture that they “repaired”. YES, this actually happened to us! As if it would be ok that we paid $3000+ for NEW furniture but were given returned, damaged then “fixed” furniture.
We still do not have a complete order of the bedroom set or the dining set that we ordered SIX WEEKS AGO. Customer service is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, have NO customer service skills nor do they care about you or the hell they are putting you through. The managers are no different. They will tell you that you will receive a call back in 24 hours (LIE), they don’t call. I had a “Manager” tell me that there was nothing she could do and now it was my problem then hung up!
I have literally BEGGED for them to cancel my order and pick up the incomplete and damaged furniture that they have delivered. I was told they would not, “too bad, so sad”. Next, I will dispute the charge and take the legal route! I will go to every news channel that will listen and social media site that I can post on… DO NOT BUY FROM CITY FURNITURE, YOU WILL REGRET IT… LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE.

I said it’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow (and I had already taken off work). They were silent for a moment then said oh and unfortunately it’s only going to be the chair as the sofa is not available until October 22nd. Since I had already donated my living room set to make room for the new set I was now going to be left with no sofa for 2 weeks. Then I get a call on October 13 asking if I would be available for delivery of the sofa on Wed October 16. I was happy to be getting it 6 days earlier than I was expecting. I called City Furniture the next morning and they said no it was scheduled to be delivered on the 22nd (and they had no idea why someone would call me and tell me the 16th as it wasn’t even in stock) so on the 22nd the movers finally drop off the sofa. I unwrap it only to discover there’s no hardware to attach the legs. Once again I call City Furniture and was told they would ship the screws but it would be 2-3 days before I received them. Then I get a call back an hour later telling me that it won’t be possible to ship screws to me that they have to do an exchange of the sofas but unfortunately now it wouldn’t be available until November 13 (5 weeks past my original delivery date).
On November 11th I get a call confirming my delivery for November 13th between 9 AM-12pm so I took off the morning from work. The next day I get a text notification saying my delivery window is now going to be 2 PM- 5 PM (so now I have to take off the whole day). At 2:30 when I hadn’t received a call from the delivery guys I called the corporate office only to find out that my delivery has been canceled (for reasons no one there could seem to explain). Now they say the next available delivery date is next Thursday the 21st (6 weeks past the original delivery date). I suggested that since they have the sofas in stock that they just go take the hardware off one and bring them to me..They said they would see if that would be possible and get back to me. Still waiting....VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

Purchased a Pierson sectional and loveseat 10/5/19 from the Jensen Beach location. Received no receipt, no paperwork. Delivered 10/19. Delivery drivers unable to put any of the pieces together. Locking Brackets – upside down. No leg under left section of loveseat to keep it from tipping forward into the floor. 3 legs do not touch floor. All pieces do not match in height or width. Leather color differences in sections. Have not attempted to try recliner.
Sent pictures to sales person and called him. Delivery drivers left while on phone. We did not sign for or accept this delivery. Salesperson said someone would be in touch 24-48 hours. 10/21 No one contacted us. Called manager. Was told to contact customer care. 10/21 Customer care only wants to set up a warranty person to come out. A warranty person cannot fix these problems! We stated we did not accept nor sign for this delivery. Customer care says they have record of our delivery signature, but will not send a copy to us.
10/21 Tried the legal department. No answer. Called customer care again. They will agree to a store credit plus $250. We explained that we had looked over the entire showroom while there. This was the only set that would fit our space. They agree to reorder but one piece won’t be in until February. This is unacceptable. Asked for refund again. She will call back. No return call.
10/23 Called customer care. They took it upon themselves to order new pieces anyways. They seem to think February is an acceptable amount of time to wait rather than issuing a full credit. 10/23 Called Jensen Beach manager again. He says it’s probably in a container and shouldn’t take until February for delivery. Nothing else he can do except inform us he has worked there for 17 years. 10/23 I filed a dispute with my credit card company to charge back $4,175.96.
As of 11/4, City Furniture continues to ignore the dispute request. Called customer service again, requested refund and a pick up date again. Offered a store credit. They never reordered pieces. I will not start another nightmare experience with this company. Worst retail experience I've ever had. I don't understand how they are allowed to a business such as this.

Started calling on a weekly basis. Seven months later they told me they would not cover it because there was no way the termites came from their warehouse. I fumigated my house before moving in prior to getting the chair and we had no termites. I threw it out and now am out $353 and to top it off customer service was horrible. One exchange was done which I refused to sign for. The Maxis was left, my attempts to get the soft mattress Exchange for a firm mattress like the one in the showroom where futile. Salespeople and manager blame customer Warehouse and Warehouse claims I should have purchased mattress protection. So you have to buy mattress protection to guard against the possibility of the warehouse bringing you any piece of crap they feel like delivering. Which is exactly what happened to me.

Purchased a hanging chair on October 17th. Came into the store knowing exactly what I wanted, and the process could not have been any more difficult. Wanted the chair delivered, however they made it an issue to deliver to my condominium association. We had an SUV with us, however the dimensions which they gave us were 3' bigger then the actual box dimensions. We were at the distribution house, and asked if we could see the box, and were told no. Had to rent a truck to pick the chair up, only then to realize that the chair would have easily fit in our SUV. We purchased the 3-year in-home repair warranty (garbage if you ask me). When we put the chair together, the actual wicker was falling apart, and now even with in-home repair they want me to rent a truck again to bring it back to their distribution house to exchange it. This company is impossible to deal with. At this point I wish I could just return it, and never deal with them again.

I bought a dining room hutch from City Furniture in Pembroke Pines on Tuesday and paid for same day delivery as I was having family visiting over the weekend from out of town. I got rid of my old hutch to allow room for my new hutch. The furniture arrived around 10:30pm. Everything looked fine when it arrived but as soon as the delivery men left, I opened the drawer to the hutch and it completely fell apart. The drawer slides were non operable. I also noticed that it wasn't level at all and there was a gap in the top piece as they were off centered, therefore the doors wouldn't attach to the magnets and wouldn't close. Though they guarantee that the furniture would be put together perfectly and inspected, that was clearly not the case.
I wasn't too concerned as they have a 24 exchange policy and figured that someone would come back the very next day to replace it, especially considering we paid for same day delivery. Also not the case. I called immediately, had to send pictures and had wait 24-48 hrs. Well after the 48 hour mark and still not having heard anything, I called and waited on hold for over an hour. I was told that the earliest delivery was next Saturday. A week away! Meanwhile, all of my China is strewn about my apt for the past 4 days and will remain that way for another week... and I'm hosting. It's quite embarrassing to say the least as it's a complete eye sore and my apt is full of clutter bc I have nowhere to store the items from my hutch.
After going round and round with the representative, I demanded to speak to a manager. After waiting on hold for over 30 more minutes for the manager, the same gentlemen gets back on to tell me that there's nothing the manager can do for me. I then said, this is unacceptable. I didn't want a message relayed from the manager, I wanted to speak to them. The manager, Whitney finally gets on only to confirm that they do not care about their customers whatsoever. When I said, 'so if I were to come in here tomorrow and get same day delivery it would be delivered tomorrow, correct?'. Yep, that's how it works. I told them to just come tomorrow and pick it up for a full refund and guess what?! No can do. They do not offer refunds of any kind. It's been a very frustrating experience to say the least. Now I sit here in clutter with a large, broken piece of furniture that looks disheveled and a horrible feeling that I got completely bamboozled.
I'm a pretty patient, understanding person but when it comes to customer service I'm a firm believer in making things right for the customer if your product or service is less than what you paid for. We were offered absolutely nothing for this huge inconvenience. Nothing. I even asked for the same delivery fee back and was told that was not possible as it was delivered the same day though it was non-operational.
Based on my experience and most of the reviews I've read, it's clear that City Furniture of Pembroke Pines only cares about making money off new customers and have no regard once you leave their showroom floor. I don't see how anyone could operate a business this way and feel ok with themselves. It should be illegal. It's disgraceful and they should be ashamed but considering the conversations that I've had with them, they couldn't care less. Their reputation obviously means far less to them then a new sale. Needless to say, I will never purchase another item from them again. Buyer beware!!

The day of the delivery my husband finds the sides and the rails of the Bed frame are missing. I called immediately to speak to a representative. They informed that the sales associate forgot to add it to the invoice. Charging me extra for the pieces, although I will not received them for another month as they are out of stock. They send me a temporary rails for the bed, this is when I started to notice their lack of customer service as the delivery man, installed some cheap rails without a box or anything to support the mattress. Also leaving the corner sides in a dangerous positions, were both my 3 years old daughter and I (CURRENTLY 8 month old PREGNANT WITH MY SECOND BABY) have hit those metals and hurts ourselves.
I called them once more complaining and requesting a decent service, as I am understanding but this was just too much. The delivery guy is sent back days later with 4 boxes (only needed 2) so I have the other 2 on the side of the bed. The following night, while sleeping on the bed (my husband, daughter and myself pregnant****) the rails fall apart and we all fall on the floor. I hurt myself and cried endlessly as I couldn’t understand how this was happening.
They have not cared once for all they have caused to my family and I. I do not understand how this is even possible. How they can allow these kind of things to happen and they are not even able to provide a reasonable solution. They do not value or respect their customers. They should be ashamed of the way their customer service and sales associates work. This store should close for good as the rest of the reviews I have read, after what happened to us, were shockingly terrifying. Will never in my life buy anything from them or would even recommend them.

I HAD TO GIVE THIS PLACE A STAR BECAUSE IT IS REQUIRED BUT THEY DO NOT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR!!!! Never in my life have I had the ridiculous service and bad experience that I have had with this company. Their service and customer service is ridiculous. We recently moved into a new house and bought thousands of dollars in furniture from their store and have been waiting months to have it all delivered; being told that the last set will be delivered the end of September. For our breakfast nook we got the table weeks before we got the bar stools. The family room, we got the sofa and chaise without the love seat then realized it wasn't even ordered. Purchased a rug which I didn't receive, called customer service and was told I took it with me. Lol. How can a 8x10 rug fit in a Nissan Murano? Lol.
Last week we received a text on Wednesday July 31st that our bar stools were finally being delivered the next day, we then received the email with the tracking, the joke was on us since they weren't delivered and when we called we were told that they did not have a delivery for us and that it was going to be today August 8th. Getting excited again that we'll finally be completing at least the family portion of the house until we receive the remaining furniture for the living room, we received the usual text and email with the tracking that shows what we will be receiving. The email shows 3 bar stools, click on the tracking it shows 2 bar stools, called Customer Service we are only getting one. Can you believe that???? If that is not the most unprofessional way of conducting business I don't know what is. I am really surprised they have been in business since 1971 and wonder if the customers shopping at Ashley Furniture have the same problem.
Had I read their reviews before my purchases I would have never even gone into their store. They took our money and now have us on a waiting game and practically hostages waiting on our furniture. Mind you I called earlier this week to complain about the headrest of my recliner being crooked and was assured that we were receiving our bar stools this week because they received a shipment. How can anyone trust this company when all they get are false promises and bad customer service. I called this morning and asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for which I was on for about half an hour before I hung up.
Every time they call to say there will be a delivery someone in my household has to take time off from work to wait and because you do not get a specific time we have to take the entire day, who is going to compensate us for all the lost time from work? Because all the customer reps can do is offer their apologizes for our inconvenience. For our first invoice, we were charged for services we didn't even take. Smh. They just opened another store on Millenia so I do hope the people going into their stores read reviews before they buy because this place sucks!!

I removed the bottom cushion and pressed down with my hand and found the springs have some issue. Came unstrung?
First I tried to do an online claim. It Wouldn't take the photos and without the photos attached would not allow me to submit the claim. Then I called. Over 30 minute wait for customer service. We bought a King bed at the showroom - delivery team assembled it. No box springs can be used because of the storage drawers, so just wood slats to place the mattress on. When we put our mattress on it - there is a 2" gap the entire perimeter of the mattress so the slats are all visible and looks horrible. As a test, we put the box springs and the mattress on it - no gap. Of course you would need a step stool to get in bed. Spoke to our sales rep and asked if we could exchange it for the bed without the storage drawers - offered to pay a restocking fee, double delivery fee, etc. No. Suggested I call customer service. She said No, suggested I speak with my sales rep. Not playing that game - just sharing everywhere - do not buy this bed.
Maybe the Queen size doesn't have this issue but buyer beware. I wish I had checked this site before going to City Furniture. What happened to customer service?? This is a design flaw/manufacturer issue - you would think CF would want to address the problem. I tried to post a review on their website - didn't go thru - went to their chat for help - couldn't help....

He told me it was normal and would get better over time. I immediately called the store and was told that "there are no refunds or exchanges" and they would send someone to fix the frame. I explained that I spent a lot of money on this product and they just kept repeating "there are no refunds or exchanges." I called the manager of the store and she was able to get them to exchange the bed frame.
The delivery people did not show up within the 3 hour range I was given. I called customer service and was told that the 3 hour window was a "courtesy" and they could come any time during the day. When the delivery guy called to say he was on his way, I asked for him to call when he arrived at my house since I work 1/2 mile from my home. He actually HUNG up on me. When they arrived, the lifted the mattress and leaned up against a wall on a slant. When they put the mattress back on the new frame, I noticed that there was damage to the side of the mattress. I told the delivery guy and he said he would come back to take a picture. He got into the truck and drove off without taking a picture!! I spent hours on the phone with customer service and the store manager and at the end of the day, no one cares. They said they would send a technician out to fix the mattress. NO THANK. YOU.

When replacement item was out of stock, I was told to "go shop elsewhere, without a refund" by one of the customer "care" associates. I would have gladly done so, but that would have been difficult to replace a piece in a set. Store associates were also rude and unhelpful in dealing with getting help. Finally after hours and days of wasted time, and more money out of pocket, I have a working barstool. It only took over 4 months. I would never recommend them. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Called immediately (probably should have refused delivery) and the customer service department stated that a representative ( not City Furniture)would contact us within 1 week to evaluate the issues. They did call but could not schedule for at least another week.
Numerous calls to customer service including a request to return the sofa and recliner if they since we were not get anyone to evaluate the damage. They refused saying the representative would assess. Finally they showed up after more than two weeks only to say they would order new cushions and the back of the recliner. They also stated that would take up to 3 weeks. Again we argued that now after more than a month we still had no resolution. We waited and finally had to call again because no contact was made with us to schedule delivery. The customer service rep agreed that was unacceptable and did get our delivery scheduled for the next week.
It certainly appeared that most reps were not helpful but at the end of the day the company does not stand behind its products and I am not even sure they care.Terrible customer service, quality of merchandise is only fair and they do not have any policies allowing return of damaged merchandise. Awful customer service, the company does not care about helping the customer. They just want your money. Their sales employees are nice but are not fully trained on important details that can really make a difference on whether you buy an item or not. We purchased a reclining sofa, specified that our room was small and were told it would fit. We weren’t informed on the extra space the sofa needed in order to function 100% so when it arrived it did not fit. We also paid for their premium delivery and after hour delivery. The delivery arrived three hours earlier so it defeated the purpose of paying for after hours and the delivery guys were just rushing and providing incorrect information. That is not premium delivery service. We paid $140 to get the same service had we done the free option.
When we asked to exchange or return the sofa and were willing to pay the 10% fee City Furniture increased the fee to 15% store credit only and we need to pay the delivery fee AGAIN. At this point I would never give City Furniture another penny. I'd rather pay more somewhere else where the company actually values their customers. This was our second experience. The first time we bought a glass table and the sales rep sold us a glass that did not belong on the base. When it was delivered the base required the glass to be attached but what was sold to us just laid there. The glass nearly fell on top of my 5 yr old and we needed to threaten with a liability lawsuit in order for City Furniture to rectify the issue. Needless to say City will not get us a third time!

We have had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ever with our recent sectional purchase! My husband and I have worked a combined 45+ years in customer service, so we're both patient people. We're appalled by the way our situation was handled. 1) We purchased a 4 pc KV Austin white sectional on Memorial Day from the Boca Raton store.
2) The delivery arrived 6/03/19, but unfortunately the armless love didn’t line up correctly with the other pieces of the sectional. Within 30 min of delivery I reported the issue, and requested a replacement. *We were offered 2 options: A. a $75 credit to keep our couch as is! (FOR A $2300 couch!) OR B. They’d send someone out to repair the sofa. I said I didn't want a “repaired” brand new sofa, but the woman on the phone informed me that someone would still need to come out and inspect the furniture before it could be replaced. So I was told I’d receive a call within 48 hours to schedule an inspection date.
3) The next day I received a call from the Assistant Manager, Delaney, who sold us sectional. She had read over the delivery notes, and was following up. After I explained I hadn’t received a call yet, she told me we would likely hear by end of day or next day at the latest. In the meantime she suggested sending photos of the couch to speed up the process.
4) Nearly 60 hours after I reported the defective loveseat, still no call! I called the store, and explained my situation to the woma. She read over the notes on our account, and then asked me which company we were waiting to hear from! She obviously didn't know how to help me, so I just told her I’d email Delaney. I attached photos of the misaligned sectional as she had suggested, and told her we were still awaiting a call, and becoming very frustrated. 5) I finally received a phone call on 6/06/19 in the late afternoon. Due to mine & my husband’s crazy work schedules, we can only schedule for Fri-Sun. I was told 6/22/19 was the soonest appt.
6) I received an email from Delaney on the 7th, apologizing for the lack of communication. I let her know we’d made an appt for 6/22, and asked if she knew if they’d be able to replace our loveseat that day now that I had sent photos. She responded that they still need to inspect first because “they might need to replace 1 or 2 pieces so it clicks together.”
7) 6/22/19: The tech showed up, & my husband and I exchange glances because he smelled so bad. He proceeded to put his dirty black clipboard on OUR WHITE COUCH! My husband showed him the problem with the loveseat, while I moved his dirty clipboard to the coffee table. My husband explained that the chaise fit all the other pieces, so we knew the prob was w/ the loveseat. I stepped away, and the next thing I hear is my husband asking why the man is working on our chaise. The man said he needed to move the hardware on the chaise in order to match up the pieces. My husband tells him that we’d like to have the option to rearrange our sectional, or add pieces to it in the future. The man responded “You won’t be able to do that”. What?! I asked what was going on, and explained to my knowledge he was just supposed to be inspecting the couch. He interrupted me, and said “I’m just here to service your couch.”
I tried to tell him that I was not faulting HIM, but was upset about the miscommunication, and that I had even sent pictures of the problem as instructed by the AM. He rudely interrupted me again, and blurted “well why didn’t you just say that?” He was very argumentative, but kept saying “I’m not going to argue with you”, and kept referring to me as "Dear" in a demeaning manner. He made a snide comment about how the customer is always right, and told my husband that he’d put a call into customer service (complaining how he’d have to wait on hold for 30 minutes first), and we’d get a call to schedule for the delivery. After he left we discovered he left black fingerprints on our chaise!
8) About 30 min later, we got a call from Kevin. I told him how awful the tech was, and how there had been a clear miscommunication from day 1. I explained that we still have the original loveseat that doesn’t fit, AND now we have a dirty chaise from the careless tech. I asked for a replacement chaise, but he told me they could only schedule a cleaning service. I then asked what could be done for our horrible experience with the company that has now been ongoing for a month! Kevin said there was nothing he could do, but would escalate our problem to a manager. After 30 minutes on hold, we opted for the callback.
9) Leonora from Corporate (ID #**), called us next. After repeating everything we told Kevin, all she said was how shocked she was to hear that we were unhappy with Mario (the tech). She kept repeating how he’s normally great with customers. Regardless of how great he normally is, he had no right to speak to me the way he did. He didn’t introduce himself when he came in, he didn’t communicate to us what he was doing, he wouldn't let me talk, and most disturbing he didn’t seem to notice or care that he was leaving grungy black fingerprints on our new couch! She told us there was nothing she could do. I asked “you mean to tell me after the horrible customer service we’ve been experiencing for a month now, there’s nothing you can do?” She told us no, nothing she can do. I asked to return the entire sectional for a full refund and she said “We don’t do refunds”, so we asked her to escalate the call to another person.
10) Our final phone call came from someone else at Corporate, who ultimately told us the same thing, “There’s nothing we can do”. My husband told them to have a manager call us back who can help us with our situation. It’s been 10 days, and WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THAT PHONE CALL! 11) In the meantime we finally received our replacement loveseat on 6/28, & the chaise was spot cleaned on 6/29. The pieces of the sectional fit together, but sadly there's still a large gap between the chaise and loveseat. We don’t feel it’s worth a phone call, as obviously this company doesn't care about customer service or whether or not we’re happy with our purchase. We’ve already wasted too many hours over this situation.
*We had planned on purchasing other pieces of furniture from CF, including the Sonoma Entertainment Wall, and some tables to complete our living room, but we weren’t offered even so much as a store credit for our troubles, so we will be shopping elsewhere.

He confirmed and also told me that they open at 11:30 am. I was already upset and told him that there is a sign that said 11. He was very rude and hung up on me. Bottom line is that after the warehouse open and waited almost 35 min they told that the chair was not available till 6/2/19. I cancel the order.

Let me give you a summary of the problems we have been having with City Furniture. In February 2019, my wife and I purchased 2 matching recliners from City Furniture. A couple weeks after delivery, the fabric in one recliner separated. We contacted CF and they sent an independent repairman. The repairmen came, looked at the recliner then called into CF and told them the fabric would need to be changed. City Furniture responded by telling him that they were no longer stocking this item. They in turn said they would give us FULL credit for BOTH recliners to come back into the store and pick out something else.
We went and found a reclining leather sofa. 15 Day after the NEW sofa was delivered the wooden frame broke and the sofa was now unusable. We called CF who again sent a repairman. The repairmen again call CF and was told that the repair parts would take 13 weeks to come in. I raised a stink because the sofa we only 3 weeks old. CF decided to exchange it for another of the same sofa. The Next NEW sofa arrived and the electric foot rest was binding. CF again sent a repairman. The repairmen fixed the problem but took it upon himself to tell us that, “These sofas have a weight limit”! I am 62 years old 6 feet tall and weigh 250 pounds. If that’s the case then they need to put signs on the furniture in their showroom that states “FOR SKINNY PEOPLE ONLY!”
I called CF to complain about this comment and was told over the phone that the repairman noted that the broken foot rest was customer abuse not a manufacturer defect. How could I abuse it when it came broken? CF will not let me return the sofa. All I want is to return the sofa and then go to a reputable furniture store and buy a GOOD sofa. We live in a guard gated community and we joke that CF repair is now on our weekly visitor list at the gate. Can you help. Check their reviews. Hundreds of people are experiencing the same problems, I wish I had.

The worst of the worst. Do not do business with this store. Purchased 2 large living room chairs on Thursday, 3/21/19. Agreed upon delivery for Tuesday, 3/26/19. Cleared my schedule to be home that day. Was notified the evening before that delivery would be between 3PM and 6PM. So far so good. At 5PM that day, checked their App, which provides live location of delivery truck and estimated arrival time. App indicated that estimated delivery time would be between 9:30PM - 11:00PM! Would have been nice if they'd actually notified me of big delay.
Being that my community does not allow deliveries after 6PM, I immediately called. 45 minutes later, after being on hold and having to speak with several reps, I was told "sorry, but we can't do anything about it, except reschedule your delivery." I asked for delivery the next day (Wednesday), as I could be home that entire day if necessary. Was told that the first day available was Thursday. I said OK, however I could only be home after 1PM. Was told that's fine. So Wednesday evening, I'm notified that delivery will be between 9:30AM and 12:30PM!
Once again had to call, be put on hold, and transferred from rep to rep for an entire hour. Was eventually told quite rudely that I "must take delivery when indicated or chairs will be given to another customer, and back-ordered for me, with estimated delivery sometime in May". Having been jerked around so much, I canceled the order. These people are dishonest, and I would give them zero stars if I could. Stay away from them if you don't want to waste a lot of your time and have a lot of aggravation!

I bought a couch and seven months later it faded and City Furniture will do very little to fix the problem. I had to pay their repair guy $50 in cash to come and tell me to replace the cushion I would have to pay for. That is right CASH! No check or credit cards accepted. I have been buying furniture from City Furniture for almost 20 years and would say 90% of the furniture in my home is City Furniture. That is multiple kitchen sets, both children's bedroom sets, my bedroom set, and mattress and multiple living rooms sets, including couches.
The issue is with the $3,000 couch my wife and I bought 8 months ago. I noticed, about a month ago, the couch was discoloring where your legs rest on the base. It looked like it was a ten-year-old piece of furniture but it was only seven months old at the time. It is not like it is sitting in a waiting room in some office; this is our TV watching couch we sit on for a couple of hours a night (tops).
I called City Furniture fully thinking they would stand behind this manufacturer's defect but I was wrong. After a lengthy conversation over more than a week, they were going to do me a "favor" and for $50, they would have someone come out and re-dye the couch for me. It was made clear this is a one-time courtesy and there would be nothing they could do. The customer service rep also acknowledged this would probably be a problem in another seven or eight months.
So, the repair guy showed up, I gave him $50 in cash and he said he was not going to dye the leather as the customer service rep said he would. He said that would be more cash but the best thing to do is replace the cushion for another $175. I am okay with that but why would customer service tell me it was $50 and the guy comes out, collects the $50 and then tells me they will come back. The repairman also "leveled with me" and said the salespeople at City Furniture will never tell you this, but they know the quality of their leather products are terrible. After being a loyal customer for almost 20 years, I will never shop at City Furniture again and I will make it my mission to make sure everyone knows how shady they are as a company.

So, if you are going to buy just a barstool, trust me, they will just kick you down like a dog if they treat people who buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff. I had to choose a delivery date 3 weeks out. Ok fine... I get it. They wanted to keep all my stuff together. No problem. They get here. The delivery guys tell me that my daughters bed doesn’t have all the parts and it’s basically broken. Ok so I’m thinking they will replace it. Nope. Customer Hell calls me to say that they don’t have any of the parts for this bed at all (they sell it this way without telling you) and they send out a 3rd party to build the parts and they won’t guarantee their work. Heck no. Fought for DAYS to have them take away the broken bed to get another new one. Days. My kid slept with me for days because she didn’t have a bed.
Finally after I called and had my poor mother call, someone says that I can pick out another bed. I pick out another bed and as I’m checking out, customer hell tells me they decide to rescind the offer. No joke. I just flipped. The salesman even flipped on them. 4 hours later, they decided I could have a working bed again. Then they deliver batteries ($400 a pop and I had 2) for my recliner that do not work. Can I replace those? Of course not! They want to send a 3rd party out to make sure they don’t work! And the 3rd party won’t call me for 48 hours to even make an appointment.
They were expecting me to have more strangers come into my home and sit there for 3 hours to wait for these batteries to die. I flipped. Another salesperson felt so bad, he snuck me replacements. Then, they still send not one but two of these 3rd party people to my home weeks upon weeks later to fix these things I no longer even have! We are in April (April 4) and this hell began in February. I still don’t even have all my furniture. Buyer beware. Don’t put yourself through the stress of this.

In the first place it was not stained, in the second place what were they planning to do, resell it? Once again, the couch is sinking in and the arm on the chaise was pulling away from the frame. The repair person fixed the arm but cannot do anything about the sagging. City Furniture told him they can't do anything because it's normal wear and tear. Do not buy sofas or sectionals from this place because apparently their furniture only last one year. In early January to be exact on 1/7/2019 we visited their store and upon the basis of a floor model that was slightly damaged we opted to purchase the "only" one remaining in stock. The price was $3500.00 Delivery was scheduled for the following Monday. Needless to say they arrived much later for the delivery than indicated. When they arrived in darkness the delivery personnel told us they could not bring the item to the second floor. They stated they needed another person.
They rescheduled for the following Wednesday and we cancelled all of our appointments. At 8:30 that morning we received a phone call from customer care as they called to tell us that the piece in stock was damaged. How come they did not know this beforehand and make us waste so much time? Disorganized for sure and unreliable.
We returned to the store and purchased the floor model even though we did not want a damaged piece. They gave us a discount on the floor model and finally itwas delivered. I had to make many phone calls to their customer care most of which were unanswered. I was never given any explanation for the horrible service or what happened to the one in stock. I suspect they sold it to another person. We additionally paid $295 for their "design service" and in our opinion this was money poorly spent for what we received. I called and they now say they cannot get the end piece until the end of January. I cannot trust them at all. Also one of the big pieces they did deliver the back is broken. We are now waiting for them to pick up the whole thing and give us credit back. We will never deal with City Furniture again worst experience ever.

I am really disappointed. I received my dining room without the tools and screws to assemble the table. I called customer service, and they are going to send me the screws until January 15. It means I don't have my dining room for 1 month. I have a big unarmed table on the floor, and I don't have a table to eat for Christmas dinner and New Year. This is incredible, I am very upset with this company. DON'T PURCHASE IN CITY FURNITURE.

Worst business I have ever dealt with. Stay away!!! Their delivery men assembled the cabinet I bought incorrectly and damaged it. In addition, they did not hand me any of the paperwork for the furniture upon delivery. They simply stated that they threw it away. Now, they refuse to take it back and are forcing me to have it repaired. Not taking responsibility and acting with absolutely no dignity and scruples.

We purchased a new dining room table and chairs after already buying bedroom and living room furniture. Each purchase had a problem, however, the table has been ongoing for 2 months! It was delivered without the feet on bottom of table. The table is too low to sit at and use. They promised to get us those feet 2 months ago. It has gotten to the point where a new table to replace this was to be delivered yesterday. The delivery people showed up with a new leaf for this useless table! This is now totally unacceptable.
I want to know how much money one needs to spend here to get them to stop screwing you! Stay away from this company. Once they get your money, they don't care about you anymore. Also, remember, they have a "no return" policy. Inspect your delivery carefully before the delivery truck leaves. If something is wrong, don't accept the delivery, put it back on the truck. Once they leave and you find something wrong, it's "Screw you!" Stay away from City Furniture!

I saw the truck arrive at the Condo’s checkpoint and give the customer information when they were removing the sofa from the truck. They damaged one leg to the sofa therefore they went to return the sofa. I received a message that they would make the delivery in two more days. Finally the day of delivery arrived but they never arrived because they say they did not have the correct address. How can they say that if they had been two days before in the condominium. I called the customer service department and the representative tells me that the new date available for delivery will be in 6 days. For me they are very irresponsible and it is a lack of respect to the client because I paid $59.99 for delivery.

Purchased sleeper I. January 2018, delivered only in May 2018. June 2018, my 2 grandchildren visited and first time using sleeper, very difficult to open and then we saw that frame is totally not straight. Called customer care and warranty dept., sent a tech person? (Regular repair guy) he told them it could be repaired by replacing piece. Totally disagree, it’s putting a band-aid on a cut, asked them what the warranty is on piece and all I kept hearing that it’s manufacturer warranty of 1 year from date of purchase... it’s going to take 6 - 8 weeks to get part, which should bring us to January... 1 year that I purchased sofa... where is the warranty on the piece???
Now what happens if 2 adults go sleep on this patched up job and someone gets seriously hurt? Are they responsible? Seems like City Furniture is anxious to help you when you are buying but if something is not right afterwards, they don’t care. I dropped thousands at store to furnish my whole house, I expect City Furniture to exchange the item because it is manufacturer’s fault. I was really impressed with the choice of furniture, but it’s the CUSTOMER SERVICE which counts above ALL. Will not see me in store anymore to make any purchases. People, go spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Ft Myers is full of furniture stores! I expected nothing but best service and in my case, an exchange!

I purchased a sectional sofa back in 2016 (our second one from this store and our last). We did not want the extended warranty but the saleswoman talked us into it. We told her at the time that we had 3 dogs and she said it would not be an issue and that all damages are fixed or replaced. Well now we are in 2018 and the stitching is coming loose so we place a call, the guy came out and said he would inform the store of the situation. I just called to get an update and was told that our claim was rejected since the damage came from our end and not the manufacturers. So long story short they sold us a warranty knowing that when we were to place a claim it would be rejected. I asked for a refund of the warranty $ and was told we could only get $13.00 back. I will not use them again, salespeople are frauds talking customers into warranties that they know will not be covered.

Had terrible experience this time around after making several large purchases in Boca Raton store. One item, TV console, was on a back order and was supposed to be scheduled for delivery at a later date than the rest of the items. When first delivery came in they did not have all the chairs, so the rep called me and scheduled another delivery for the remaining chairs. Turned out their system does not allow for several deliveries scheduled at the same time so the TV console that came in and was reserved for me got "unreserved" and went to another customer. It has been rescheduled several times, now almost two months after the purchase I still do not have the TV console.
Sales representative just disappeared on me, never called back. Customer support center employees are dishonest, changing the story constantly, saying we did call you, we informed you of the delay, etc, when nobody did. I had to take time off from work 3 times! To be home waiting for the deliveries that never came. Very disappointed.

The overall experience with City Furniture was horrible. From the rushed salesperson pushing me out the door. Delivery was scheduled and did not receive the item on the scheduled day. Customer service is another issue. They didn’t solve my issues nor did they care. I will NEVER shop City Furniture again! Poor poor experience.

We purchased a bed/mattress set from them in August and just got it delivered finally now (mid-November), after many attempts, because they had sold our rails to another customer. The delivery men took our bed outside immediately, and that's an important detail - because once they do that, there's no going back. The mattress we bought was nearly $3,000; the bed itself was much less, on sale. They've been trying to get us to cancel the bed and just put the mattress on a frame and be done with it. Well, lo and behold, delivery day comes and IT IS THE WRONG BED. But since my bed had already left the house, I had two options: Take the new mattress and get a $75 credit (not kidding), or they would just leave my bed outside and not even haul away. So in the end, they got what they wanted - a sucker of a customer buying an overpriced mattress, with no bed. Do not do business with these people. Ever.

On 11/6/18 a tv stand I bought from City Furniture in Tamarac, FL was delivered to my house. The ended up being too small so I called customer service to see if I could exchange it for the same tv stand but the longer one. I told the representative that I did not have a problem returning the item and paying the additional cost of the longer but was told that I could not return the item and had to keep it. What reputable company does that to their customers? Also, I was charged for “Premium Delivery” and was never told about their free delivery option at purchase. After about 3 hours on the telephone with customer service trying to get them to let me exchange the tv stand I was told that I could reselect but would have to pay a 15% restocking fee and another delivery fee to have the reselected tv stand delivered and the other stand picked up.
I told them that I could just bring back to the store that I bought it from but was told no I could not and they have to pick up the item and deliver the new one. Once I agreed to their terms to reselect however, I was then told that I would have to go back to their showroom and reselect the item I wanted and would be given a credit towards the purchase of the reselected tv stand. This was an inconvenience to me to say the least and when I asked the customer service rep if she could just put in the order for the new tv stand over the telephone and set delivery she said no I would have to go into the showroom. Mind you now it was the same tv stand but longer (68”). Therefore I went to the showroom to reselect and was told by the sales rep that the item I wanted was discontinued. This came to a surprise to me because the salesman I originally bought the smaller tv stand from never told me there was only one size available.
As matter of fact, the tv was advertised on their showroom being available in three different sizes 48”, 58”, and 68”. I unfortunately had to reselect the floor model which was the only 68” available but was told by the salesperson that I would have to bring the smaller tv stand back to the showroom before they could put in the purchase order for the reselected floor model tv stand. Now I was really pissed off because before I went to the showroom to reselect; I was told by customer service that I could not take the tv stand back to the store and that it had to be picked up and the new one delivered. Long story short, I had to go home, pick up the item and return it only to have to wait another 4 hours to purchase the reselected tv stand. Note to anyone looking to buy furniture from City Furniture: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are the worst!! Bad sales experience and terrible customer service experience!
