02/06/2023 Kageene ** emailed me from City Furniture on February 3rd 2023. Still there is no date to come and repair my home!
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
I replied “any date you want”! I’m already missing days from work! 3RD CANCELLATION! NO ANSWER from City Furniture!! 02/02/2023 I missed work to have the city furniture appointment canceled on 02/02/2023. (Canceled on the same day! At 4:15pm.) The repairman was fixing damages on another house and wouldn't be able to make it to my house. Not making any of this up! Literally City Furniture has not repaired anything in my house. Going on FOR 2 Months now!! 01/17/2023 No one has called me on making repairs on all the damages to my house. 01/12/2023 NO word from **. 01/11/2023 NO RESPONSE! City Furniture Owner! I emailed ** and haven’t heard anything back!!
City furniture moving personnel came to my house and damaged my floor, dented 4 walls, damaged front door and have yet to make any repairs on my home. My mother's bedroom set came damaged from the warehouse, and they repaired it after a week's long argument. But, my home still remains damaged and there is no follow through. Rudy the sales representative never called us back to see if our home was taken cared of, just took the 9,000.00 purchase we did and never looked back.
I’ve emailed ** several times and scheduled for a repair team to come out to my residence and all I have received is canceled appointments. Once you purchase city furniture doesn’t care what happens next. Very unfortunate, very surprising how there is still no resolve after a month and a half. Buyer beware with this City Furniture location. Ocoee Florida!
I was able to get my adjustable base change after talking to to higher-ups.
These people are so unprofessional, CITY Furniture. Imagine they made a mistake on your order, and then want to tell you that you're on your own, there's nothing we can do!!!!. I would not recommend them to anyone. I bought a bedroom set "bed frame, adjustable base, mattress, etc". The bed rails came damaged, which took almost 2yrs to replace. Upon replacing the rails the installer told me that the bed wasn't installed properly and other things. There is a sink in the mattress and the legs not stable. I then ordered a new set of legs and complained about the sink that was in the mattress. When the installer came to install the legs, she decided not to do it because she don't think that would solve my problem and left. "I have 3 kids that constantly comes in my bed, so without the legs it's not safe".
I then called customer service and told them what happened. I told them that I didn't care about the sink, I just wanted the bed to be safe for the kids. They then told me they couldn't do anything because the sales rep sold me a base that's not compatible with the frame, and they can't do anything about it. "How is this my fault???" I'm getting a lawyer involved. How about I went back to City Furniture Cluter Bay and told them what happened, they now want to replace the frame (which is $1000) and not the adjustable base (which is also $1000), do this make sense??? What should I do with the other pieces of furniture that match the frame???
On January 27, I bought a dining room set at this furniture store. On Saturday the 28th, it was given to me by a chair with wooden legs completely broken at a level that no one can sit for fear that it will fall. The other pieces are all unpainted and cracked. The same day I made the complaint and the only alternative was to send me the same article today, Saturday, February 4. Before they started assembling the new one, I asked them to see each piece and they arrived worse than the first one. The quality of the wood is terrible. I called to help me choose a better quality one even though I had to pay more and they didn't let me. They are going to send me the same article for the third time that may get worse.
The guarantee and return policies of this furniture store are the worst on the market as if its items cost $10.00. Thanks to them, he hasn't had a dining room for 3 weeks. The truckers left the floor all dirty and full of foam from the box and didn't say good afternoon or goodbye. Leaving everything dirty and the door completely opens allowing my pets to go out and get lost if it wasn't because they are trained. Don't keep making these large furniture stores millionaires because of the terrible quality of their products. Let's see what broken products are coming next Saturday.
It started with my old furniture that I bought with City Furniture, back in 2019. I had issues with the table which took the repair company multiple time to get right. It took over 3 months and multiple calls to customer service. Come to find out the service tech were not installing the spacers on the table which was the whole problem to begin with. Then the couch I bought had issues with the stitching, so I contacted customer service again, and they had someone come out to stich up the couch, that did last long. I called them again and they to me they were going to order the cover to the couch and would replace it. They told me it would take 6 weeks to get the couch cover.
After 3 months I decided to call them to check up, and they informed me that the couch was discontinued. In which, I was upset because no one ever called me to tell me that info. So I called again, and talked to a supervisor, and they told me they they would refund my purchase for the couches and would give me store credit. So last year I bought a whole new couch setup with a glass coffee table. I had to wait for one of the couches, and the glass coffee table because they were on back order.
I finally received the second part of my couch back in November, and part of the glass table, and was told the second part of the table will be delivered in December. I waited and called throughout December and was giving the run around by customer service. So finally, the first week of Jan, they delivered the remaining part of the coffee table, which I waited 3 months to get. So after the delivery tech left, I went to move the table and noticed that the table was about to tip over because it wasn't installed right.
After the delivery techs put the table together they didn't even test anything and just left like everything was ok (I have them on camera). So I called customer service, about 20 minutes after the techs left and noticed they were closed for the day. I then called the next day, and was on the phone for over 2 hours. They told me they would sent someone out to fix but it was going to be 7 days later.
I was upset because they didn't install the table right to begin with, and now I have to wait again. So, I told them I'm not going to wait anymore and want my money back, and to pick up the table. I was told they could only give me store credit, which I don't want because I'm never shopping at City Furniture again. I also went to the City Furniture store, and talked to the store manager 3 times, and they sent an email to customer service about my complaint and to contact me. I haven't heard anything yet, and don't have time to to be on the phone for hours to get nowhere. So I want my money back, not store credit.
Recently we purchased a kitchen table and four chairs. The salesman was impeccably dressed, well spoken, knew what he was talking about, and a pleasure to work with. This is so rare these days. He should be rewarded.
Dr. & Mrs. David
I wish I had read this reviews prior to spending 10,000. dollars in this store. We recently visit the new location for City Furniture in Plant City, the first impression is the customer service was Awful but since they were just opening we gave the benefit of the doubt so we made our on search for furniture without some employee help, we left the store that day and came back two days later with all the measurements, after purchasing what we believe we paid for when they deliver the items we find out they charge us an extra piece that we didn't want so that's when the issue became a nightmare because they state on their policy that they don't return items which it wasn't our fault. So we start the fight with customer care and ended going back to the store where the sales agent admitted the error and mistake but still not even the manager knew how to proceed to return our money.
At this moment the item still in our home waiting to be pick up in order for us to get reimbursed, but the other issue is that the sectional leather came broken so we spend 3 hour as well on the phone kind of going in circles to get this over with. Again their customer service is really bad and we do not understand their policy of no return. They must consider or allow the customer if they are are making a change the same day for a different item to go thru, or have different overview and individualize the customer's needs, we are not starting a money return but item exchange. After all they have put us in this situation.
CITY FURNITURE will not honor my extra warranty that Mike j. talked me into getting. Please do not spend your money here. Go to a good furniture store NOT SHI___ FURNITURE. What rude customer service, they obviously don't have any experience at all. Get out of the furniture business since you don't know what you're doing. SHAME ON YOU.
Really bad quality and customer service. I bought a table more than one month ago and they delivered 3 times and all the time the table came broken. They don't want to return my money because is not a company policy. They will stay delivering more tables but the problem is that the tables does not look new. Really bad experience. See the pictures of the 3 deliveries.
My Amber sleeper/chaise couch was delivered with a defect in the pull out sleeper and they said it's fine which it isn't and refuse to do anything about it. The same couches on display in their stores work fine and stunned that they are ignoring the real issue. Poor customer service and they just lost a loyal customer of 10 years plus. Never again. Product is cheap and poorly designed. People really need to be aware of their return policy as there isn't one for furniture once delivered regardless of the condition. STAY AWAY!
I'll make this review as short as possible to get to the issue quickly. I went to the store to purchase furniture for my home. I spent over $20K on furniture. Let's start with the delivery. They tell you they will be there in 30 minutes and get there whenever, wasting your time. They are not the nicest individuals, but that wasn't the issue. Just pointing out this was an issue too. The first order placed was for $18K, and the sales rep didn't put the right address for delivery and committed to ordering an item we told him several times we wanted and how we wanted. That's where the issue started with the delivery.
After we realized the order was incomplete, we went back to another City Furniture in hopes we would have a better experience. NOPE that didn't happen either. On this order, we spent another $8K. I specifically told the salesperson the item I needed and why I needed it. The salesperson ordered what she thought I wanted. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I needed. After calling her and telling her this was not what we wanted, she very nicely told me, "Well we have a non-refundable policy and you should call customer service." Of course, she could care less she made her money right.
So I call customer service. First rep just told me no refunds. I explained I have no interest in a refund. I want a credit and I want to return the item that doesn't work for me (the item was $300). She once again said no. I requested a supervisor, which I thought was going to help. NOPE didn't help either. He asked for me to send an email and he would call the salesperson. Of course, he didn't call the salesperson and did absolutely nothing. I called the following day, and another rep answered the phone and the same thing there are no returns.
I think the company just has them say this no matter what the problem is. I requested another supervisor. The lady didn't even want to come to the phone. She was dining the claim. I then said I wanted to speak to someone above her. That went nowhere. They are not interested in customer service and trying to see what the issue is and help the customer, they are there to tell you there are no returns and give you attitude and rudeness. Basically, they should not be called customer service. I will never purchase anything from this company ever again. WORST COMPANY EVER.
Having purchased a mattress and motorized base headboard and side rails a delivery date was set up. City Furniture was explicitly advised the the date was firm because we are snowbirds. They did not deliver the headboard till we were back in NY. The deliver person Sebastian called and advised us the City Furniture would send someone back to assemble the bed. Well having called yesterday they told me that they would not and told us of an additional charge from an outside vendor to do the work we had contracted for. Stay away and purchase from a reliable merchant and not these liars and thieves.
City delivered about 20 pieces of furniture. 1 chair 1 stool 1 table and a credenza were damaged badly. The delivery guy called City and they said they would replace them. Well, a month and a half later, they sent a repair guy, who we waited 6 hours for, he was very late. Now we have to wait for 3 new pieces of 4 to be delivered. The Credenza was damaged in the back so we just settled rather than return it also. Now we wait longer. I called them 5 times to see where their man was no one knew where he was and I was told they'd call me back 4 times. They didn't. Saleslady was nice but don't use them. If they deliver broken furniture they can repair it instead of replacing it on the long disclosure you sign.. BEWARE
We purchased two reclining leather couches and a chair back in February of this year. Was told if we paid for everything upfront we would have no problem with a delivery in October. Well October came and not all our order was on stock. So we got the couch and chair delivered on Oct 13 and the love seat wouldn’t be in until January. We were told if we order the full size couch instead of a love seat we would get it in sooner than January. We could get it in two weeks. So we did. We did pay for a deliver of $179.00. Well since we changed the order mind you because they didn’t have what we ordered. Today when they delivered and we are already gone because we had to go back to Maine where we work. I had my sister who is very handicap there for the delivery and they wouldn’t bring it in our first floor home And we’re so rude to her. Told her they didn’t even want to bring it that far.
We called and spoke to our sales rep who thought it was unexpectable what the driver did and would get back to us. Well it’s been hours now. It’s dark and the couch is still in a box outside my door blocking the walkway. I am now calling a handyman to come with another guy to bring it in. Oh I forgot to mention we offered to pay the delivery charge today after they said they wouldn’t bring it in and the two guys said, ''No we can’t do that.'' If wanted to do that they would have to take it back and we can start all over again because it was too big for them to want to deal with. Mind you we already had the exact couch in our home. I’m in retail and this was not acceptable. I strongly recommend never ever doing business with City Furniture who also owns Ashley’s.
This is the second time that City Furniture has delivered used items to my house and sold them as new. Be aware that if your item does not come boxed it very well may be used. The dining table and chairs I bought are expensive and I paid for delivery, and what they delivered was scratched and used and they sold it as new which is illegal. I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. The people on the phone at dispatch and customer service lie about calling you back and are poor communicators and the drivers don't care either. You have been warned. I will happily spend my $2000+ elsewhere. You have been warned.
I purchased two chairs and two ottomans from City Furniture. I asked the salesperson if indeed the furniture I was buying was made in USA and received an affirmative response. That proved to be a lie. An issue arose as the metal legs on the units began losing finish and rusting, Customer care refused to repair and City warranty group dodged many calls. I was disconnected over 9 times. Spent many hours on hold and never reached anyone in a position to help. I attempted to call City corporate office and discovered you can not reach anyone as their business model has phone service re-routed to their customer service. I reached out to their registered agent attorney who was nice enough to essentially tell me to just sue as his client is non-responsive to most attempts to resolve issues. Simply put a terrible experience and a truly bad organization selling inferior furniture. Avoid City Furniture.
So my wife and I recently purchased approximately $15,000 worth of brand new furniture from City Furniture in Wellington. While we have received most of our items without issue there are a few things I would like to make everyone aware of.
1. If you purchase online you can return any item regardless of reason for up to 3 days after delivery however, if you go into the store (like I did) and they don’t have the item there and the salesman shows you a pic from his computer tablet (like he did) because it’s not on display in this store and it gets sent to your house in a box and the driver refuses to wait for you to open the box and it’s not even close to being the same color (looks yellow and black instead of gray and white) then you can’t make any type of return whatsoever.
2. If you are shown a mattress in the store be sure to take a pic of what you sampled (model number, etc.) because once it’s delivered they won’t allow you to make any changes for the first 21 days even if it’s a manufacturer defect from day 1. I ordered 2 of the same 11” gel mattress’ (first run-not clearance) for my children that only expanded to 8.5” and the corners also never expanded and appear crushed. Come to find out that what I tested for firmness wasn’t actually a sample of what I thought I was purchasing and now the mattress’ are no longer available. Now City Furniture wants us to pay double (yes double) of what we paid the first time to get the cheapest gel replacements they offer. My wife and I don’t want to pay double and just want a refund or even a credit on something else because we found cheaper gel alternatives elsewhere and are told that we have to use the credit on a mattress.
Their Customer Care does everything, but care and sales associates can’t do anything after an item is delivered so buyer beware of these bait and switch tactics. #cityfurniture #aspen #aspencredenza #r&rmattress #baitandswitch
May 21st 2022, I spent over $35k with City Furniture! This company treated me like crap! I need to have my head examined for tolerating the ** that customer service gave me! I knew I was heading for a bad experience when the salesman JP lied to us about the availability of the furniture that we ordered. Back in April of 2022, I put down $10k for a down payment for our furniture order. We came back the following month to finish paying off the order. While we were there we decided to get a queen size bedroom set for our quest bedroom, and we got a leather recliner, so that put the total order over $35k.
Our order includes Miami White King Bedroom set, Miami White full entertainment unit, Miami White 78 inch dinette set, 3 Miami White bar chairs, Miami White Bar, Miami White Office Desk, Elba 4 pcs Leather Sectional, Chaise, Armless recliner, Wedge and right Loveseat. Santonio Queen bedroom set and Queen mattress. Finally White Leather reclining chair with the acrylic sides. We furnished our entire house with Miami white collection and the Elba Sectional. The Elba Sectional was the biggest priced item. Our salesman told us that most of our order would be available in May around the end of the month. That was great news to hear because we were closing on our newly built home on May 17th.
We get back to City Furniture May 21st to finish paying for everything and the salesman JP tells us that everything is on back order, so now I have a decision to make. I chose to keep the order, because we were definitely in love with the furniture. With our purchase we have premium delivery, and in home protection plan. We were to take our first delivery in June, the pieces that we were supposed to get didn’t come so I called customer service and explained to them what happened, The representative told me that the pieces that we did not receive were on back order and I said that’s impossible because our salesman told us that they will be delivered with the first delivery order.
The representative said that’s impossible because when your salesman went into the computer system and show him the items that will be available, so I said to the representative, "Are you sure?" and he said yes 100%. Basically the salesman JP lied to us to get us locked in for the order. After we started receiving the rest of our furniture I started getting emails saying that our order is ready for pick up. We have premium delivery so why should we have to pick up anything. I would call customer service to have the pick up change to premium delivery. Every time this would happen. My salesman never kept in touch with us like he said he would if any changes or delay would happen with the furniture. The biggest problem was the Elba Sectional, we’ve had several problems with this sectional, we ordered the 4 pcs sectional in dark grey. We had 3 different shades of grey with this sectional.
Also the wedge was shorter than the whole sectional. After seeing that City Furniture just couldn’t get this corrected we decided to switch out the grey sectional for the White Elba sectional. We took delivery of the white Elba sectional on September 15, 2022. One of the delivery guys and myself noticed that the Left loveseat recliner was shorter than the rest of the sectional by an inch or more. This was very noticeable! The delivery driver called customer service and explained to them about the defect. I spoke to a customer service rep the next day, she gave me a very hard time on getting this loveseat replaced. After 30 minutes of debating with her she finally put in a request for a exchange.
The next morning I get a call from a customer service rep from the escalations department saying that they won’t exchange the loveseat because it’s not a manufacturer defect and it comes from the manufacturer like that, basically she’s telling me that my sectional that I spent $6300 suppose to look uneven because one chair is shorter than the whole sectional.
I sent pictures to her and you can clearly see the defect! City Furniture lacks integrity, honor, accountability, and most of all respect for their customers. These are the customer service people and managers that gave me a hard time and even blew me off! Customer service rep, Amanda, Janelle, Felicia. Managers that blew me off or didn’t respond back to my complaints. Amid a long with 2 other showroom managers. I don’t have their names. I’m highly disappointed in Brandon **, he was the manager at the time that we placed the order. I will say that he did take care of an issue that we had because of JP the sales guy he screwed up the order. One Brandon ** because the GM he stopped responding to my emails and didn’t return my phone calls. I reached out to 2 days ago concerning the delivery of our last piece of furniture and I haven’t heard anything from this guy.
At the end of the day no matter how much money you spend with a company you shouldn’t have to tolerate this ** from them! Loyalty and dedication is definitely missing from this company! The customer service sucks so bad!! I’ve had a terrible experience with this company and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They have great furniture but the service sucks! If I had to do it all over again I would of spent my $35k somewhere else!!! I forgot one more thing, we have a Miami white desk base that supposed to be delivered but they have it scheduled for me to pick it up on October 17th of this month. That’s this coming Monday. I’ve been going back and forth with the managers at the Orlando location and I’ve been going back and forth with customer service about this. They are trying to make me pay for a third party delivery for this last piece of furniture.
Like I mentioned in the very beginning we have premium delivery for our entire order. JP he’s the salesman and wrote so many invoices for this order instead of just 1 invoice. Somehow he put the order for premium delivery but didn’t put the Miami White desk base for premium delivery. Now how does this happen?!? Anyway for anyone this about dealing with this company please hold them accountable for any mistakes or misrepresentation! My next move to get my issues resolved is to reach out to news media about this!
STAY AWAY!!!! Patrice in the West Palm Beach store was the salesperson that assisted me. Patrice finalized the invoice. They added a premium delivery charge of almost $500 when I was supposed to get free shipping. It was my third time in the store in 3 days and I had to catch a flight. The entire time free delivery was part of the deal. Its states free on their website and in each of the emails I now receive DAILY from them. Premium Delivery charge was not needed for 3 couch pieces and 7 chairs. There was nothing to assemble.
First floor house steps from the street. The Delivery person didn't even inspect the delivery. I had to point out to him that there were scratches on the chairs. Beware of scam and additional charges. Second the furniture guarantee policy was added in and it was VERY clearly discussed with them that this furniture was for an Airbnb rental. I specifically asked would it be covered under a rental situation. Again get home and read the fine print of 5 pages and it specifically states that it doesn't cover commercial use. They scammed me. Called three times and no one calls back. Horrible customer service and scammers.
This company is very dishonest. They scammed me out of $1600 in warranty. They told me I would get my money back after the 3 years. When I called they told me it was store credit. On top of that they would not even give me that because I called less than a year after I got the furniture for a loose wire in one of my chair. This should have been cover under the manufacturer warranty because it was less than a year…but they applied to the warranty I bought. They told me because I bought a warranty my manufacturer warranty was forfeited. None of which was told to me. So $1600 dollars for a 15 min loose wire connection…. They also held onto my money for six months after Furniture was returned. I spent almost $20,000, once that’s done. They treat you like garbage. Please think twice before spending your money there. Be very careful with their warranty…Read all the find print… Horrible company, very horrible
3 months ago I made a purchase of more than 10,000 dollars and paid an extended and improved warranty against everything for the furniture, the outdoor dining room changed color and acquired a white color with only 3 months of use and without the sun front. I asked for the guarantee and they answered me that the guarantee does not cover discoloration. They know that the product fades and so they remove it from the warranty. It is a cheating and lying company. Do not pay for a guarantee that only covers what is not damaged. Neither product only lasted 3 months and changed color. Lousy service and cheaters.
I have given City Furniture the Benefit of the doubt. This is my third purchase with them by far the worst. I purchased a bedroom set with one night stand, footboard, headboard, dresser and chess draw back in August 202. We are now in the month of October and I have not received my chess draw or nightstand. I hear is backorder, I’ve reached out to the sale rep, As of today I have not heard from her. Customer Service is useless!
We purchase $5,000+ and paid for premium delivery of living room furniture in June, 2022. The sofa came in defective from delivery date. The loveseat had a noticeable stain also. City Furniture sent out an inspection (one week later) and they decided they would replace both pieces. We are now in end of September, and I am being told the furniture is in backorder until end of October. We have been waiting for 5 months for furniture I specifically picked out because it was not on backorder. Customer Care Rep. Samantha (there are 3 different Samantha's I have spoken with thus far) states that she is "trying to educate" me, the customer, on how backorders work... Meanwhile, I am supposed to continue making payments through their financing company and continue having broken furniture in my living room. I should have/could have had better service and product from a flea market.
They're denying my claim to use the warranty I purchased which I was told would be covered. City furniture is dishonest & have blamed the fact that they know I moved as a reason to not cover my damaged item.
To save an insanely long review, I will simply say to avoid this company at all costs and give a “short” explanation. We purchased a dining set among other items…along with a warranty. The chairs and bench for the dining set fell apart and were stained. We filed a claim, service comes, and they can’t remove the stains or repair the chair. We are told that we are entitled to replacements. Fast forward 8 months and a minimum of 6 failed replacement attempts later with so many EPIC disasters that it’s hard to believe, we are left with nothing more than text messages going back to June that conflict with each and every message. In June, via text, we were told that a refund is being processed and would take 7-14 days. In September, we are given the approval code for said refund and told that we would hear within 24-28 hours. 4 days later, after no word from them but me chasing once again, it is not a refund but a store credit.
Today, it turns into a “reselection” and they require picking up the damaged items to proceed with honoring the credit. Despite the fact that I am stupid enough to be paying these morons an additional $400+ for an order with my credit. That leaves me with a dining set for 8 that will ultimately seat 4 and OUT more money. They claim we were given this information previously, yet they are unable to provide the email or any names of who was spoken to, who from the company that called and when.
At this point, I’ve given up. They can keep the phantom credit and I’m stuck with the crap furniture that, though I knew is not high quality, couldn’t even last 4 months without falling apart. PLEASE do yourself a favor and just don’t even bother with this place. You’ll never have the same sales person (because they never stick around) and you’ll be fed nothing but lies, inconsistencies and left with ZERO customer support WHEN you do have issues. And you WILL have issues. Even with a PAID FOR warranty. Ultimately, I lose…But no one else has to. Please do yourself a favor and do not bother with these people.
We bought a very nice high-end king-size mattress and adjustable frame. The sales lady was very nice and professional. Even though their prices were higher than the competition, I thought their customer service would be professional. Their showrooms were top-notch. The bed frame was delivered, but the mattress was on backorder and did not come for another 2-3 weeks. I never heard of that happening in my life. My wife and I decided to exchange our new bedding for two twin xl mattresses and adjustable frames. Guess what happened? They refused to take back the king adjustable frame. Cost me $1300. No other competitors
have that horrible policy.
So today we were delivered the two new twin xl mattresses and adjustable frames. Guess what? One adjustable frame does not work. Their horrible customer service said they could send out a service technician on Oct 1st. OMG. This company is the worst ever. Beautiful showroom, worst service ever. I doubt if they will stay in business after burning so many customers. Shame on them.
Purchased over $22,000 worth the furniture in one year. Sectional is only 6 months old knew I would have a problem with this when it came damaged five times and finally got it okay on the sixth time. Back rests that push out to make couch wider all uneven and not operational. Right seam on sectional is open up. Couch is 6 months old. City Furniture is saying this is not under the manufacturer's warranty? Are you joking? Customer service down in pompano is rude, arrogant and blames everything on the customer.
There's obviously no way that this is not under manufacturer's warranty. City Furniture is just quick to sell you stuff and then you're stuck with something. People beware. Don't ever accept anything damage to your house waiting for a replacement. Refuse the furniture and wait till you get a new one in stock otherwise you're stuck with it.
On August 14 2021. I decided to purchased with City Furniture a dining table. Super excited because Christmas was coming and I was going to have all my family together to have our dinner. Once I received the dining table on September 2nd 2021, I made I claim because the table had damages on two of the corners and the wood was all cracked. After the claim was made I received on October 2021 the exchange for the “New” dining table and when it was opened the table had the corners and the feet of the table once again with bumps and damages as-well with the glass that came with yellow stains all over.
I had called for a 2nd time to make the complain and to received a new piece. City furniture first solution was to send me a special painter that they have that would paint the table were it was damaged to make it look as new. The piece worth was $2,417.80. Please explain to me how can they even suggest that to a client that has purchased a “Brand New Item” for that amount and has had 2 first bad experiences.
After the claim was made they said I was going to receive a new dining table by February 18th 2022. After that they moved it to June 25th and now they are extending the date for September 2022. It has been almost a year without a dining table that has already been paid for. I’ve been calling city furniture for help because they are offering me a limited and a specific time and date for me to pick a new piece. But nothing will guarantee quality and responsibility in time delivery. So I told them I would like them to please instead of giving me a time frame for me to pick a different item that I don’t want or need to give me the credit unlimited time for when I decided to use it.
I spoke to Christian and Elizabeth supervisors on July 11th at 9:25am and their reply was that they can’t do nothing for me but to extend my exchange for July 22nd and I asked to speak to someone with a superior position that could help me. Elizabeth said she was going to send an email to all managers- supervisors and who ever wanted to help was going to call me back in 48 hours. Till today July 21st 2022 I didn’t received any phone call back from City Furniture team. I decided to call AT 2:49PM and spoke to Isabel who just asked me the case number was, I gave it to her and she just decided to transfer the call to Geraldine, mentioning she was part of the Escalation Team in City Furniture and that she has spoken to Christine (who I don’t know who she is) and that they can’t do anything for me.
At this point I want MY REFUND BACK. Her response was their policy doesn’t allow refund. I asked one more time to speak to someone with a higher position and spoke to Milton claiming he was part of the Management Team with the worst attitude ever. Just replying back there is nothing we can do you can’t get money back you can only exchange and you only have till July 29th.
This has been the most uncomfortable and worst experience ever. City furniture does not have any type customer service respect for their clients. Having a bad attitude with no solution to a client that has already paid a dining table never received. And not only that applying policy to clients offering no refund and limited time. But not focusing on their policy with employees of how to treat a client or worst then that making sure what they deliver is in right and perfect conditions. I need my money back. Never ever shopping with them again. Worst company ever!!
I am having trouble receiving a refund for an outdoor dining table purchased last year (2021) in May that was received damaged. I did file a claim and requested an exchange for the same table, but when the replacement table was received in Oct 2021, that one was also damaged. Both tables were returned to City Furniture.
I have filed claims with pictures, I have called customer service many times, I have written several emails and yet no resolution. They (customer service) keep telling me the issue is with the domestic shipping department. To date (June 2022) I have not received any response to my numerous emails. Pictures: table 1 was built before I noticed damage. Table 2 is still in the box.
Extremely unprofessional customer service and company. Don't fall for their scam and their promises prior to your purchase. They're all bunch of lies. After you purchase they go against everything they promised you. They will not refund your money for online order, even though the furniture is still in the original box and never been opened. They had a note on my account that they will take them back even after the 3 days grace period! I called customer service and told them I'm not going to open the furniture for few days, they added a note to my account to make an exception to their 3 days policy and will allow refund. I called and told them that after opening the sofa and love seat, I realized the two chairs will not fit in my living room and that's why I did not even open the boxes and would like to return them. But they refused to take them back.
I Called customer service several times and talked to Luis **, Tina (**) and her supervisor Shanika (All very rude and unprofessional). Told me they will not take the chairs back since it was after 3 days. They all saw the note on my account, but totally ignored it, wasting my time for several hours. Be very careful, they make so many promises before you purchase. But after you pay, they don't keep any of them. I would recommend never buy anything from this company. It's unheard of that they don't take the chairs that were not even opened few days after delivery, even though they had a note on my account that they gladly take them back if I wasn't happy. They just lie to you to sell their furniture and after that they completely refuse to even follow their own written note on the account. Never buy anything from them. Horrible business and horrible customer service.
Florida friends beware. Certain sales reps and managers at City Furniture’s West Palm Beach store do not have your best interests in mind. Vesna sold me a table that is too short for the chairs she recommended! I have been ignored and lied to for the past three months. My claim has been denied because customer warranty declared it’s my preference to have a table that is too short for the chairs! The store manager Tashed said I should have measured it before buying the table. Silly me, I trusted that Vesna advised me correctly! Don’t trust them. No one at that store accepts responsibility. No one responds or cares.
