I had a bed purchased while I was in the hospital with cancer. When the bed was delivered we discovered it was too tall and not wide enough. After contacting Ashley's thru calls and emails they finally said no refunds. It wasn't even opened. 700.00. They stole from me.

My couch was delivered with a nauseous smell and threads hanging out of it and contacting corporate there are no returns allowed on this. Lied 3 times about delivery schedule. Deliver Thursday, take off work and they don't show up. Same thing the following Thursday. Again the next following Thursday they said it should deliver, but actually delivered on Friday. Talked to 4 or 5 different people in customer service and the salesman, all said they would call me tomorrow or within 48 hours. Never heard back from any of them. This is the 3rd time in 7 years I swore I would never buy anything from Ashley again for the same thing. I have to do better and stick to my guns and never buy from them again.

Purchased and "new" sectional delivered September. 2 days later had to schedule for part of sectional to be replaced due to thumping noise when rocking back and forth in seat. Called back again and technician was sent out to address noise and "tightened" something underneath the seat. Noise occurred again 2 months later (December) and now other seats are making the same noise. Company refuses to address issue or provide refund and required me to "take pictures of everything" as if a cosmetic issue could cause the mechanical issues. Taking pictures was an insult as if there is something I did nor damage caused that would be causing these issues.

About a year ago I purchased 2 sofas and ottomans and a dining room set totaling over $10,000. We all purchased the additional protection plans for each of their sets that we purchased. We discovered that the frame was broken in the oversized ottoman on one of the sofas. I contacted the company we purchased they addition protection through they declined the claim because it was a structure issue that should be covered the the warranty from Ashley Furniture. In October, I contacted Ashley customer service process about the issue and they said someone would contact me with 48 hours to come look at the damage. Several weeks passed with no contact. I contacted them again and was told the claim was closed.
I reopened the claim and again was told within 24-28 hours I would be contacted. Again nothing. I tried to contact them through another channel via text. I was asked is we sat on the ottoman. I said, "It was a piece of furniture" and we told that voided the warranty. I've attempted to talk to people higher up the leadership at Ashley and each team has been denied. The customer service process at Ashley is broken. Their warranties are worthless, their follow-up is non existent. I've attempted to resolve this issue in a professional manner but their customer service process does not allow for that to take place.
I will never purchase anything from this store again and will encourage others not to purchase anything again. They ottoman was only about $500 of the $10,000 total. They would prefer to lose a customer for life who will influence others not to purchase from their store again as well rather than work to find a solution to their terrible product and even worse customer service system.

Bought a Soletren sofa bed from Arjun at the Burlington store. Chose regular delivery opposed to white glove thinking there would be no assembly required for a sofa bed. Oh so so wrong it was never explained to us that the sofa would be left in the reception area at our new condo. The delivery guys couldn't leave quick enough. Called customer care where I was told to cancel the order would be a 25% restocking plus $100 pick up charge - but the delivery fee was $79.95?? Why the difference?? At a total cost to us of $500 restocking..The guys who came to pick up the sofa bed tried hard to come up with a way to get it up to our second floor unit they were willing to carry it up the stairs but when they looked in the condo they said there was no way to get it into the room. They were horrified when they heard of our experience especially since we are seniors and my husband uses a walker.
They couldn't understand why we would be charged 25% restocking when the sofabed couldn't get into the condo. We had no alternative but to cancel. It wasn't as if we didn't want or not like it -it just couldn't get into the condo. After speaking to many people at customer care was told store policy is 25% restocking end of story. Did go into the store to speak with Arjun hoping some adjustment could be made to reduce the $500 charge-again the same story - - policy-25% restocking. He did say they could offer a 10% restocking if we bought something else-told him I never want to hear the name of Ashley Furniture again let alone buy from them. He let me walk out the store! Stay away from this company.

READ ALL THE ONLINE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. I have been trying to get what I paid for for 6 months and still no response. I have talked to numerous people at Ashley Furniture and nothing. I was also sold a Lifetime Warranty that I have since learned was 5 years. Not what I was sold. I was told Lifetime (as long as I own the couch). That sentence was why I purchased the warranty. Leather couches should not look as bad as mine do after 5 years. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again.

Ashley Furniture is apparently two different companies: online and brick-and-mortar, though both sell the same furniture. This is a Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde pair of operations. I rate their customer service minus five for online and plus five for brick-and-mortar, on a scale of one to five. Moving into new for us house, I wanted to buy a bedroom set.
On November 16, I went on Wayfair and found the set I liked, and found that the identical set was listed under three different names while the pictures were identical, with three different prices. I noticed on one of the pictures the word Ashley, so I looked on https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/, finding the identical set for several percent less. I ordered the set I liked, but as the matching bedside tables were out of stock, I drove to their brick-and-mortar store a few miles away. There I bought two matching bedside tables and picked them up at a giant warehouse later that day.
The delivery of the set I ordered online was scheduled for December 14. When there was no delivery that day, I called the 800 number, where I was told that they had emailed me that the order had been canceled and were indignant that I was unaware of this, that they had emailed me on December 11. I went to my spam file and located that email, which I had not seen. I called their “customer service” line and told them to uncancel it and deliver the furniture, to be told that there was no record of the order. I supplied the order number, and they said it could not be uncanceled, that I would have to initiate an entirely new order, with a delivery window of two to three weeks. They were unhelpful, blaming me for not checking my spam file.
I asked for a supervisor whose native tongue was English and not Tagalog, and from the supervisor got the same result. So I drove to the physical store again and ordered the furniture. They promised delivery in six days. Their sales staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I should have gone there instead of ordering online. The online company (https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/) is a hot mess. Rating their customer service on a scale of one to five, I would rate them minus five. Poor staff, poor communications, intransigent people in customer service. The brick-and-mortar store in Clearwater was the exact opposite. They arranged delivery in six days and the sales rep there was pleasant and understanding. Rating their customer service on a scale of one to five, I would rate them five. I have bought Ashley furniture before, and was pleased, but the bungling clowns in their online company should be fired.

Unbelievable I get a defective piece and because I didn't see it sooner I have to pay for them to come fix their defective furniture they delivered to me. So now after spending $2000 six months ago I'm spending more to now fix it. This is terrible it is not my fault it's defective I should not be liable. We purchased the Monaghan Sofa on May 31, 2023. We purchased the extended 5 yr. warranty for $300. December 4, 2023 I called the service center as the core foam on the seats has already broken down. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back I called again and this is what I learned: They will replace the core foam one time under the manufacturer's warranty, if the foam breaks down again the extended warranty kicks in and they will replace it again but no further replacements are allowed for the remaining life of the couch, extended warranty or not.
I questioned that if the seats break down every 6 months I would need at least 10 replacements in a five year period!! This is when Remmeet from Winnipeg Service Dept. explained that wouldn't happen because the replacement core foam under the extended warranty is higher density. I stated that if we have established the standard foam is of poor quality, that it breaks down after a short time surely they would replace it with better quality, no? Remmeet said she can replace for higher density foam under the extended warranty now but I will not be able to get any more replacements ever. This is unacceptable and until consumers start standing up for better quality products then we will consistently be provided the bare minimum.

I purchased an Isanti dining table from one of their stores in South Florida and the experience was beyond terrible. First, we were lied to by telling us that the table was made by Ashley in the US. The table turned out to be made in India. The issue is that there's no need to lie to get a sale. Second, the manufacturing quality of the table is terrible. It's a nice-looking table but manufacturing quality control resulted in 7 tables, all damaged, being delivered to us with one not delivered as they caught the damage at the warehouse.
Third, Ashley in South Florida is City Furniture and the customer service quality was terrible with argumentative people who treated me as if I were a liar when their own delivery staff told them about the damage. I had to fight them to finally delivered a table that, while still damaged, I can at least work with by using decorative placemats to hide the almost 20-inch scuff and other small damages to the wood which the manufacturer applied finishing to. I guess the good old days are gone because I had once furnished my entire house with City's product but not anymore as am choosing to pay more for true US made product and companies that will do the right thing no matter the cost. To be fair, I did receive a deep discount at the end but it took me from September to December fighting with them.

Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. I will NEVER order furniture from Ashley Furniture again. I ordered a brand new living room furniture set Black Friday 2023. Kelisha ** was the sales rep. The set was delivered today with a rip in the sofa. They delivered DAMAGED furniture and the delivery driver refused to take the sofa because it was already in the house. He then stated that we had to call a number to arrange the replacement. We called Kalisha ** and she basically said there is NOTHING they could do about it except try to repair it. She was unprofessional and unhelpful. We spoke with another rep (Savannah) - she lied and said the item could be replaced.
We spoke with the manager Joe - he lied and said they would replace it. We sent photos, spoke with Sherry at 855-645-2388. Product was delivered to the outside of the house (other companies deliver into the house). We would have paid the extra fee had we known, but nobody told us delivery did not include bringing it into the house. The product came wrapped and we kept it in the original wrapping as we were doing some drywall repair/painting. I took off the original wrapping 4 days later and found three tears. I e-mailed the next day, never heard anything back. Two days later sent an online complaint, got an e-mail saying, “too bad you reported the damage in 4 days but you only have two days to report”.
I called customer service and the store manager. They were not willing to repair (wanted us to pay $300 for materials to repair the brand new sofa we bought from them), not willing to replace or even offer a discount. The material (supposed to be a leather sofa) is thin and such poor quality at the area or the tear. When I was appalled by the poor customer service and that we paid a lot of money for damaged furniture and they took no responsibility, I wanted to cancel the rest of the furniture that we didn’t get yet but they told us they would charge a 10% restocking fee. I have never had such bad customer service before. I will never purchase from this company again.

I selected the Maggie sofa and loveseat because the salesperson said it would be good with dogs. Just one day after delivery, the dog jumped on the sofa arm and ripped it apart. His nails were not even that long and that is what the groomer also told me when I took him in immediately after it happened. The loveseat also has a small tear in the bottom corner, and I am afraid it could spread. I didn't notice how it happened, but it was either delivered that way or tore after just one week of wear and tear. The upholstery may have been pulled too tight. The material is very thin and cheap and worse than any upholstered furniture I have ever owned. I do not recommend buying from this seller.

The first issue arose when the delivery time was quoted as 6 weeks but it took 4 months and many phone calls to arrive. When I sat on the couch for the first time it made a loud scraping noise so I had a repair man from Ashley come out and fix it. Then I noticed that there was such minimal padding on the arms of the couch that it felt more like I was leaning on a 2x4 piece of wood. Unfortunately, no one in my home used the couch for a full year because it was so uncomfortable. Now I’m noticing that there is no padding anywhere other than the cushions on the couch.
My grandson almost got a concussion when he laid down and went to lay his head on the arm of the couch. For the high cost I paid for this couch I’ve never been more disappointed in a company that started out great and has just gone downhill. To think that they would believe it’s ok to sell a sub-standard product and think they’ve fooled a customer is just plain corrupt. They lost my business for good and I’ve been spreading the word. It’s their loss.

I recently purchased furniture at Ashley Homestore in Brooklyn, NY on Sept 24, 2023. However, the Corporate Location is: Factory Direct dba Ashley Homestore in Edison, NJ. I did not buy New, Good Quality, Unbroken Furniture, so you can deliver some used or B Goods! Within a couple days of delivery, the furniture was horrible. We really hadn’t used it yet. The material on this furniture is pilling. Pilling is susceptible to pilling over time, but not within a day or two. Also there seems to be feathers poking through the fabric. The furniture looks like it was years old already.
I live about an hour away from the store so we called and basically get, "Too Bad, So Sad" and just shave it. Really, we buy new furniture and within a day or two feathers are poking through and fabric is pilling so it has to be shaved from day one and every other day. Really? First off the type of material used shouldn’t be pilling maybe for years. I don’t know if you sent me some recycled, used or someone else’s rejected furniture or it’s just poor quality manufacturing. Either way, it’s your problem. However, you’re hoping to pass it on to me. That won’t fly anymore. Your "Too Bad, So Sad" mentality will not work.
Todd and Eugene you know this is wrong. I’m not the first customer to file complaints and I’m sure I won’t be the last. SWINDLED, SCAMMED, FRAUDED, CHEATED and LIED TOO! I went to Ashley Furniture in 10/20/23 against my husband's advice, because he warned me they would "Screw me over". I went there to buy a SOFA, only a SOFA, to replace the Party time Sofa we once had, which was recalled and Ashley Furniture also refused to replace. Unfortunately on this day I was victimized by a true Snake of a Salesman Josh **.
I decided on the Backtrack Dual powered Sofa, he then offered me a great deal to also purchase the recliner. Mind you I didn't see the proverbial knife pointed at my back at that moment. We agreed on a price, he actually SHOOK my hand and smiled at me, with what I thought was genuine customer service, at that moment. Little didn't know this is where his ethics got thrown out the door. We went to the sales counter, he handed me the paperwork pointing to where I needed to sign his copies. To my neglect, I trusted him, mistake #1.
On 10/25 the order arrived at my house, when the delivery people began to unbox, I noticed it was a love seat, NOT the sofa. The delivery people said, "Oh no problem, just sign here that this has been delivered, then call this number and they will get it exchanged for you. 1-866-787-seven move three zero." Mistake #2. So I called the number and they stated the Store would have to correct it. I found my paperwork and saw that it said a LOVE SEAT not a Sofa. (KNIFE IN THE BACK ENTERED) I then called Josh immediately and ask why he had entered a loveseat, being that I NEVER was interested in a love seat, I had never looked at a loveseat nor did I inquire about a love seat. He then told me he would submit an email to get it corrected. Needless to say I never heard from him again.
After countless calls to the store, and speaking to the GM Solomon **, I was told, sorry all sales are final and there is no return policy, and that he had to support his salesmen. UNBELIEVABLE. What I have learned from this is JOSH **, consciously, knowingly, and willingly sold me a sofa and recliner, but intentionally entered a loveseat into the system knowing I wouldn't check his work because I had already thanked him for restoring my faith in Ashley furniture. MISTAKE #3. My advice to you is stay clear of this Ashley store and especially stay clear of the salesman Josh ** who’s actions proved he is unethical and fraudulent in his sales tactics. We are now stuck with an uncomfortable love seat that we never considered, nor wanted.

WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. I wished I had checked out all the reviews here before deciding to give Ashley's a try. The show room is shiny. The salespeople are friendly. BUT all this is to hide a bait and switch, used car sales model. I purchased a couch. The one that arrived looked like the one I tried out in the showroom but it was higher. So much so that my feet were dangling - which they weren't with the showroom model. I went back and asked if I can pay for delivery and a restocking fee to recover some of my cost. Or for store credit. The sofa they delivered was not the same as the sofa they had in the showroom. The very nice sales person said they would get in trouble if they tried to help me. So I asked for the manager.
The manager came out ready to battle. No apologies for the problem. Straight out - no return or exchanges. No exception. Stone-faced enforcer. Unlike the sales pitch - there was no smile, no friendly chatter. They're done with you when you sign the contract and pay them. You don't matter anymore. Here's the real problem I have with Ashley's. Their company policy is ALL SALES ARE FINAL. BUT they never alerted me to this strict and atypical policy. The salesperson never mentioned it. You had to read two pages of tiny print to see it and it's buried in the middle of other less relevant issues.
The manager said they have signs everywhere in the store. I didn't notice them. I asked where they were. When she pointed them out, they were 8.5X11 printed sheets. In bold was "RETURN AND CANCELLATION POLICY" and in tiny font below they stated the no return policy. No one in the store pointed out the fine print to me - either in the contract or in the sign. They just want the sale and be done with you. I will never go back. I would never recommend Ashley's to anyone. It's not just their strict policy. It's the underhanded way they intentionally do not alert you to the ALL SALES ARE FINAL policy yet cover themselves but making a statement in fine print. If you were going to a fire sale, the signs are usually HUGE "ALL SALES ARE FINAL".
They intentionally do not want to alert the buyer to this policy. So that you buy and then they wash their hands off you. It's a shady - fly by night approach to doing business. Not worth it. You can buy similar furniture for same or better pricing on Wayfair or Amazon and you can return furniture you're not satisfied with. Wayfair and Amazon are at least transparent and care about their customers. Ashley is neither.

I bought 3 pictures in store. The manager gave special pricing as 1 of 3 paintings was a mismatch. 2 weeks later I hung the photos, though I thought initially they may be too big. Today, I noticed from an angle something was all over 2 of the 3 paintings. Upon further investigation, I found mould spores on the pictures, quite a lot. I spoke to the manager who insisted he could do nothing as it was special pricing and they are as is. He claims to know nothing about this and says nothing can be done. He tried to imply that because I told a rep from another purchase made last week that the pictures were too big and a return wasn't possible.
The pictures actually look great on the wall. What is not ok, is that Ashley Furniture sold these to me regardless if they were 'as is' in store. This is a health and safety issue, not only in my home, but also to the entire store and all merchandise that sits in it. The manager basically blew me off. As a loyal customer, I have made several major past purchases at Ashley Furniture prior to my last and final purchase of a bed and bedroom set on 10/09/23 at Ashley's on S. 27th St in Greenfield. My sales associate, ** was friendly and helpful. I bought a complete bed and bedroom set for $2637.61. I was told my furniture would be delivered on Monday 10/16. On Monday 10/16, the only items delivered was a mattress, box spring, and a Bed in a Bag combo. The rest of my order wasn't loaded on the truck for an unknown reason and would be delivered Friday 10/20. I texted ** of the issue and my frustration.
On Friday 10/20 when my bedroom furniture was being unloaded from the truck, I was told that some damage had occurred. I saw the headboard had been broken. I don't know it that was due to the cheap particle board material it was made from, or the carelessness of the third party delivery team. I was told by an Ashley's employee on the phone that I could accept the delivery and hopefully, Ashley's would find a replacement headboard. With bedroom furniture being clearance items, I did not accept the furniture and refused the order. I texted ** of the issue and my disappointment. Strike One.
On Saturday 10/21, I texted ** that I was very upset and wanted a refund. ** was apologetic and said she would forward my request for a refund to her manager, **. On Sunday 10/22, I received a phone call from store manager, **. I told her I was frustrated and disappointed with Ashley's delivery and quality of the broken furniture and requested a full refund of $2637.61. I told her that I liked the mattress and box spring and I would keep it for a discount. She offered me a $100 discount on a bed that cannot be resold. I declined the pitiful and less then generous offer. She told me unapologetically that I would be charged a $200 restocking fee. I told her she was crazy since there was nothing delivered to me that needed to be restocked. I also explained that if Ashley Furniture had delivered all my bedroom furniture undamaged on Monday, 10/16, as promised, there would not be this issue.
On Monday 10/23, I went to Ashley's. I spoke to ** in person and asked her how this issue was going to be resolved. She told me I would receive a full refund after Ashley's picked up the used mattress, used box spring, and used bedding on Friday 10/27. Store manager, ** made no apologies to me; no offer to me of keeping the used bedding; no offer to me of a store credit or store gift cards to compensate me for my stress and frustration. She had no interest in keeping me as a repeat, loyal customer. ** had zero interest in customer service / satisfaction. Her managerial behavior, in my opinion, was severely unprofessional. Strike Two.
On Friday 10/27, Ashley delivery picked up the used mattress, box spring and bedding. On Saturday 10/28 I texted ** that everything had been picked up. I asked her to speak to manager ** as to when I could expect the full refund of $2637.61. ** texted me within 5 business days. On Monday, 10/30, I received a partial refund to my credit card of $2468.86, which is $168.75 than I paid for this purchase. How and why ** came up with this different price is unknown to me. I texted ** about the missing $168.75. ** again told me it is in their system and I should see the refund by this Friday. So now, additional stress waiting for the $168.75. I never got a call from ** explaining the $168.75 difference. I am guessing she is too gutless and still doesn't care about customer service / satisfaction. After several texts to**. I finally got my $168.75 credit ... 2 weeks late. Strike Three.

I was greeted by the salesman Eric and he listened to what I was wanting and stayed at a distance until I signaled I needed help which was very important to me. I don't like feeling crowded while I am browsing. After I finished my selections - family room, bedroom and kitchen - His manager Kevin came over. I did have some things arise out of their control and they were patient and made sure I was happy and feeling GREAT with my purchase. I ended up adding a mattress to my order and went back and forth with both Eric and Kevin and they were very helpful. Definitely will be referring them business. GREAT overall experience all because of the 2 of them.

534 N Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg, MD20877 Ashley Furniture Store. I had purchased a Jaurao bedroom collection from them. On the delivery day their delivery team damaged my property by making such a big hole on my wall by dropping the chest which also broke one drawer of the chest. Then they damaged my dresser and the bed by drilling extra holes in it to assemble it which caused the nails to be out only. Then I received a damaged nightstand and a defective bed, as it has big gaps in the front and headboard sides in which my infant actually fell also. I called the store the same day informing them of all the issues but they said they can’t do anything and gave me their cooperate office number who asked me to email them all the issues with pictures and asked for 7 to 10 business days. So I actually informed them of all the issues within the 72 hour window.
In the meantime they denied my property damage claim and said, "We will not do anything." Then after 10 days when I contacted them regarding the damage/defective furniture they gave me their service department number who’s representative misbehaved with me when I told her that my son fell in the bed gaps and got hurt also. Then the service department said that "We will not do anything" and that we have to keep the furniture as it is. What bothers me is their “I don’t care” attitude towards my infant getting hurt. I have never witnessed such a behavior and was not expecting from such a big furniture store to have such a no care attitude towards my infant's safety.
I am really concerned about my infant's safety and writing in this forum to have a written proof that if by chance my infant gets hurt due to the nails that are coming out of the bed or if he falls in the bed gap then only Ashley Furniture store from where I bought the furniture will be responsible. I have all the call logs and emails conversations that I had with them within 72 hrs of delivery. I have to put pillows to cover the bed gap as it’s a manufacture defect.

All the supervisor said was that she "apologized" no assurance the efforts would be made to fix the problem. Said if I had more concerns I should call the escalation number. I did and all that person asked me what happened, she simply said she "apologized" and would document the issue and her reviewer would look at it and may or may not call me back. They refuse to try any options, and took item back to the store. We never had any issues with delivery to that apartment before. Furniture and much bigger items were taken in and out to the apartment many times before without any issues. Huge old couch was removed from that apartment a day before with no issue.
Any attempt to speak to the salesperson from the store left without the answer. We try to reach Christina ** (the store salesperson) by calls or text messages, and no answers. The store told us that we are still responsible for delivery charge in the amount of $185.08, even the item was never actually delivered. They even had a flyer explaining the promotion that they included into our purchase folder. Well, the credit card never showed up. After about dozen phone calls over six months between the local store and several different departments at corporate promising results, while all giving us the runaround and lame excuses, we finally gave up. Nov. 9th - Obviously great financing. We bought a $10,000 leather sectional and recliner 2 years ago and paid it off in 2 years. Paid for the protection plan. 3 of the 4 recliners switches don't work. Ashley says these switches are discontinued and I can't get them and replace them myself. The protection plan tells me since I don't know when they stopped working that it is past the 30 days required to report it and they won't do anything. 10,000 dollar set, garbage. Irrepairable. They don't make the same switch from 2 years ago or a replacement? Ashley won't fix it, warranty won't fix it, and I can't fix it if I wanted to. The bed we bought from them years ago fell apart too. I expected my 10,000 dollar living room set with a warranty to last more than 2 years. Absolute garbage.
Nov. 13th. Ashley Furniture responded to original review and agrees with me that maybe they should look into this a little further so I sent them all of my information to the e mail address they listed. Nothing. 4 days later and nothing. Must have been an automatic we care and we are sorry response. Protect All the warranty people have no record of my phone call with the supervisor from last week either. Re created that one. You'd think they wouldn't want to make you repeat this screw job over and over. My initial rating of 2 stars was too generous.
11-15 Groundhog day with the warranty like they never spoke to me everytime I talk to them. Here is Ashley's response, "I apologize for the delayed response. I have investigated the order and unfortunately, due to the items being discontinued I was unable to order the parts. You can reach out consumer affairs to see if we have -any items with the same switches. The parts will be at a cost. They can be reached at 1-800-757-0064. Again I’m sorry the delayed response and the inconvenience this has caused." A.K.A. your 2 year old leather set is now garbage. They sold us a warranty that could have never been fullfilled due to discontinued parts. They sold me a brand new leather set not even good for 2 years of light use. What a rip off from all directions.

One of the worst experiences I've had. The salesmen and everyone in store are great, but after we ordered it has been a nightmare. First off we chose Ashley furniture because we didn't want this headache. We spent near $10,000 and on a pair of couches, a sectional for the basement and 2 mattresses with bed frames. Fast forward 2 weeks and the couches, along with one mattress is being delivered. The other mattress ended up being on backorder which we were informed a few days before the delivery date. The 2 couches in the living room were easily delivered along with the full size mattress, then the sectional (which I measured the hallway several times before ordering and knew it would fit) comes and they get everything but the corner piece into the room. They were trying to fit it through with the curve against the wall, damaging the sheetrock several times, all they had to do was turn it around.
They tell me it needs to be taken apart and I talk to their supervisor about them bringing it back to the warehouse and having their team remove the back of it so it would fit. Fine, $180 charge, agreed they left. I go into the backyard and see the piece sitting out there with it going to rain that night. I call my brother. He drives an hour and took us about 3 minutes to get it into the room that it didn't fit. A few days later the bedframes arrive in boxes that looked like they were having a throwing competition with. What do you know, both bedframes are damaged and the one is missing a leg. A week later the final mattress arrives, great. They come rolled up vacuum sealed so I have them leave it in the living room while my new bedframe from RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN is being setup. A few hours later we move the mattress up and open it, SURPRISE, it's the cheapest $800 mattress that they sell.
We spent over $2000 on the mattress we ordered, now we have the replacement mattress being shipped after waiting another 3 weeks. I called to ask about the cheap mattress that is here and told them that I wanted a supervisor here when they remove it because now the house it fully furnished and they will be bringing it past 2 TVs, and the lady at the warehouse got an attitude with me about how their movers are professional, and it won't be a problem. In the next sentence she asked me if I had rope to tie the mattress in half for them. I'm sure this will go great tomorrow. Conclusion, Ashley Furniture is not a great company anymore and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Our experience at Ashley's was horrible. My mother is blind. She went to Ashley's to buy bunk beds for my children, her grandchildren, for her home. She specifically told the saleswoman, Patricia, that she wanted a bed where the ladder wasn't blocked by the top bunk railing. They completed the transaction, and scheduled delivery and assembly. Once assembly was complete, my mom discovered that the ladder was blocked by the railing, making it unsafe for small children due to having to climb over the railing. Patricia ordered the wrong bed.
My mother called the Oxnard CA store and spoke with the manager Abraham who basically blamed my BLIND mother for leaving the store with the receipt that listed the wrong bed, because she should have caught the error. He also informed her that the sale is final. He didn't even take into account that because she's blind, she can't see the receipt, and has to trust the salesperson to do their job.
My mother then called the corporate office and was passed around, no names were given. The line auto disconnected after 23 minutes of trying to get to the right person to help. To add insult to injury, Patricia charged my mother a $149.99 for 5 year furniture warranty, which my mother never wanted, wasn't asked if she wanted and she never approved. Patrica took it upon herself to add this unnecessary, expensive warranty all on her own to my mother's order. My elderly, blind mother was taken advantage by this saleswoman, and the store/company.
I had a great experience with the store in Torrance, so I referred my mother to Ashley's. I feel very guilty that I recommended somewhere that has caused so much trouble and anxiety for her. I will never recommend this company again, and shame on them for their atrocious customer "care". As it stands, we are stuck with an unsafe bed that can't be used, that we were overcharged for.

I spent almost two hours total with a rep named Joanna and another one named Megha. It was a horrible experience for something that should have taken 15 minutes to resolve, taking approximately two hours, and never was resolved to my satisfaction. These orders were my third and fourth purchases from Ashley over several years and I will not be buying from them again.
I have never been so frustrated telling someone over and over and over that, I wanted something replaced that I ended up throwing in the towel because of frustration with the responses AND TOOK A DISCOUNT WHICH ALSO VOIDED THE WARRANTY ON THE FURNITURE for something I just wanted replaced. I was informed that they would send me a new bed after they had received a receipt of my donation to charity for the bed I had. Where was I to sleep between all this? They basically forced me to accept a worthless discount and warranty void.

Title: Terrible Experience with Ashley Store in Avon City, MA. I must say that my experience with Ashley store in Avon City, Massachusetts has been nothing short of a nightmare. Two months ago, I made a significant purchase from this store, which included a couch and a coffee table that I was really looking forward to having in my home. However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The couch that was delivered to me was not just damaged; it was ripped, and the quality of the item was abysmal. It's beyond me how Ashley store could allow such a shoddy product to leave their warehouse in the first place. But, it gets worse – trying to rectify the situation has been an absolute ordeal.
I've been trying to communicate with their customer service in this store as well as with the store manager for two months now, and I've made countless calls and sent numerous emails. Yet, the response from Ashley has been utterly inadequate. It's as if they don't care about their customers or the quality of their products. Their lack of urgency and responsibility is infuriating. I understand that issues can arise from time to time, but the complete lack of effort on their part to rectify this situation is inexcusable. I paid hard-earned money for a product that was supposed to enhance my living space, and all I have to show for it is a ripped couch and endless frustration. In addition, they sent me a wrong coffee table, similarly no action so far has been taken to replace it.
My advice to anyone considering shopping at Ashley store in Avon City, MA is to think twice. If something goes wrong with your purchase, don't expect any help or resolution from their customer service. This has been a disheartening and infuriating experience, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. I hope this review serves as a warning for others and that Ashley takes a long, hard look at their customer service and quality control processes. They need to do better, much better.

I attempted to find out if we could change the dates. I was told this could not happen as it was coming from their direct ship warehouse. I had wonderful experience spending my money. The two sales people were great. One had more experience is decorating, the other was just a nice person. However, I purchased a console from the Sarasota store and the poor lighting changed the color of the actual piece of furniture. It was delivered on time and in great shape. Unfortunately I had to move in quickly in my home, then have surgery. After I came home from the hospital I did not look at the console. After my daughter left, I took a great look at it. In the store it looked "brownish" which is the color of my furniture. In my home it was "grey." I am not a grey furniture person. It looks horrible in my home. It has not been used. The tag is still on and I was told from one of the salesmen they do not take back furniture. I paid about $900.00 including delivery and tax. I've never heard of a store not taking back unused merchandise.
I called customer care and told them what happened. They never got back to me until I called again. They want photos of the damage. It is not damaged. It is the wrong color. I asked for a "credit" so I could purchase one that looked better in my new home. No response. I had to order a new one from another company. I am now out $900.00. I will sell it on marketplace for $300.00 just to get it out of my home. I had planned on spending another $2,000 at the store. I will never shop there again. There are some companies that are great in taking your money but when there is a concern, the answer is "no."
My dad owned a furniture store. My husband owned an antique furniture store. I am a real estate broker and a certified interior decorator. I do not accept shabby customer service. They said on the back of the receipt no refund. You do not get the receipt until you purchase an item and, again, I was going into the hospital. There are exceptions to every rule. I guess they just don't care.

I wish I could give Ashley Furniture a zero star rating because that's all they deserve. Since the first time I went into their store in Vaughan, they were trying to overcharge me. I had to show them pictures on their website to prove I was telling the truth about the sale price which they kept insisting was the American website. Finally the manager came and corrected them. Then I was there for about half an hour because their calculations kept coming out wrong by around 400 dollars above the actual price. Just when I thought the nightmare was over they delivered my two nightstands. One in its original packaging and the other in a completely different box that the nightstand could not even fit in properly. Once I opened the boxes the one that was in its original package was in good shape the other one looked used like a floor model.
I felt that Ashley's would solve this problem by exchanging the damaged one but instead Rahi their customer service rep told me that I can't exchange and that I would have to allow someone to come over and repair it. I of course did not agree to losing a day off work and repairing something that I paid full price for. To make a long story short I have received no help and am forced to keep a used damaged product that I paid full price for. Please do not shop here. Go anywhere else, worst shopping experience ever.

The worst purchasing experience I ever had was at this store! I bought a chair on 8/21/2023 from the Alpharetta store in GA, which was overpriced to start with, but I liked it, and it was comfortable enough. I was promised it would be delivered on 9/7, which I thought was too long a time. Added to that was the fact that they were charging me almost 100 dollars for delivery! That should have warned me off, but sadly, it didn't! No self-respecting store ever charges for delivery, certainly not for purchases over 50 dollars!
A message was sent to me on 9/4 telling me that the chair would be delivered on 9/7 between 3:00-7:00 pm. I waited for it to arrive, and was tracking it the whole time. At 6:45 pm, I called the driver since I felt the chair was really running too late, and he informed me that I was not getting my chair that day because it wasn't at the warehouse! When I asked him why no one informed me, he said that someone at the store wasn't doing his job. I called the store, and they had no knowledge of any of this. The man who I talked to said he would get back to me, and the next day, he said that my chair was damaged, and it was the driver's fault for not letting them know (two different stories).
I was very upset, and asked him how I could be compensated for my wasted time, and for the fact that I was planning a gathering at my house based on the fact that I thought my living room would be ready by 9/7. He said that they could offer me 50% off the delivery cost, which I thought was definitely not enough, and I told him so. He asked "corporate" and supposedly was told that this was the best they could do. I am extremely upset about this very poor customer service. I have never had such a horrible experience when purchasing anything, and I have lived in many different places around the world. I will definitely make sure that no one I know ever makes my mistake and purchases anything at this furniture store that has absolutely no respect for its customers.

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY'S. I would give it ZERO stars if I could. I have never experienced such poor customer service when it comes to addressing a warranty issue. I've been trying to work w/ Ashley's Customer Care in regards to my white leather sofa & recliner for far too long now. I purchased the set in 2022. The problem started within the 1st mo. or so. Here we are in 2023 & still unresolved. I have 2 sections that immediately were color stained within the mo. or so, by normal usage (people just sitting on the sofa or recliner). Pretty sure the sofa & recliner had not been pretreated before leaving the warehouse. Quality leather shouldn't stain from clothing like that. I've owned a light buttercream leather sofa for 5 years that I purchased from Jordan's furniture in the past & it never absorbed the colors of clothes.
I've asked Ashley's several times to help resolve this matter because it's covered by warranty, all I continue to receive is the runaround. Every time I call, they say someone has called & left a message. Not true. I've only received 1 email & 1 voicemail from Ashley's & that was in the very beginning of this ordeal. They requested pictures. In response to their request, I had sent 2 emails with pictures, & a follow up phone call. Nothing came about. I called over & over & kept getting the same response which was that someone will get back to me.
On 1-24-23, I had to forward that same email w/pics to Ashley's again because they couldn't find the 1st email (both emails sent to emailus@ashleycustomercare.com & GuestServices2@ashleyhs.com). I did receive confirmation from an Ashley Customer Care rep that the email was received. Still no resolution. FYI- all I did was forward original email to same email address it was originally sent it to, all while I was on the phone w/ the rep. Funny how they can see emails when you stay on the phone w/ them to confirm that they receive it.
This is embarrassing. I won't let anyone sit on the middle or left section of the sofa worried if someone sits on that side of the sofa with any colored clothing, the sofa will absorb the colors. No one should have to worry so much about what guests are wearing while they sit on your furniture. Ashley's - Salem, NH had the same white sofa on display for a while. I didn't see it color stained & I'm sure plenty of people have sat on it. I was one of them.
3-4 mo. ago Ashley's finally sent out a 3rd party co. to supposedly resolve the matter. Guy shows up at 8pm (when he was supposed to arrive no later than 6), saying he was told to come clean it. He didn't even clean it. He only came in with a cellphone. No cleaning products of any kind. He took pictures & said he will report back to Ashley's within 10 days. Since the pointless visit, I called Ashley's a couple of times & was told that they still haven't heard from the 3rd party co. All they did was continue to give me fake apologies & lies about how they're going to have someone call me back to resolve. Nothing was been done. Before anyone says "Maybe she's not a clean person", my entire living room is mainly white with black, gold, & grey details. I keep it sharp looking.
Called again today (8/4/23), was told they called and left a vm back on July 11. Which is a lie. I did not receive a voicemail from Ashley's that day. I check my vm daily. Ashley's tends to be the only co./people that claim to leave me a voicemail & somehow I never receive one. I have no problem receiving voicemails, or any other msgs from anyone else. I kept asking what number they're calling. Reps don't answer me when I ask. They carry on w/ the "I'm sorry".
BTW, they just informed me that there is nothing they can do. They're claiming it is heat damage based on that unprofessional useless visit from their 3rd party contractor. I have central AC/Heat. I keep the temp in my place between 68-72 degrees all year round. Make that make sense. It was never a heat damage issue. It is an Ashley QC issue. Anything not to hold themselves accountable. Ashley's Furniture is a scam artist furniture co..

The furniture I ordered online from Ashley Furniture Sunday, August 27, 2023, has become a nightmare. Attached is the order confirmation that Ashley emailed me. As you can see, originally I did not want to pay for delivery or assembly. But, once I ordered a 5 year Furniture Protection Plan, a box appears that says “No Hassle Delivery. Assembly included FREE”.
When talking to any of the agents representing Ashley, the “No Hassle Delivery. Assembly included FREE”, will not be honored. Why I asked. "Because you did not pay for free delivery or assembly." So we have gone around and around about my attachment saying it’s free. Mary J. (representative of Ashley), says she doesn’t see what I’m talking about. Dennis ** (another representative of Ashley), says, “I see what you are talking about. It must be a glitch, and I will have it removed." Coralee D. (another representative of Ashley), says I need to cancel the order and reorder if I want delivery and assembly for a fee.
My question is, “Why do I need to purchase the delivery and assembly when it says on my confirmation it’s included in my Furniture Protection Plan? So..the last Ashley representative I tried talking to was Veronica **. I’ll admit besides Dennis **, she started out as the second nicest representative I have spoken to. Once we got into my complaint, she says almost the identical thing that they all said. They cannot change what the order says. So my retort is, “ok, then you must honor what you sent to me… no fee for delivery and assembly (assembly by the way would consist of screwing 4 legs on the queen sofa and 4 legs on the love seat). Veronica says no… What they sent me originally was not the order confirmation. I asked, then why did they send it. She has no idea. No one does.
My last argument was… if I go to Kohl’s Department store and they have $39.99 on a blanket and I go to checkout and the price rings up $69.99, why do they agree to allow the purchase at the price that is marked on the item???? Veronica said, “that’s different”. Okay Ashley Furniture, you are now SCUM TO ME. Sadly, the ending to my story is... Ashely Furniture will not honor the attached order confirmation they sent me. A lot of my monies have gone to Ashley Furniture, but NOT ANY LONGER. I’m asking all of my friends to be careful if you must order anything from this establishment make sure they don’t treat you as they did me. You might do better off at another furniture store.

I refused to accept a table they unpackaged in my driveway as not my order. I purchased 2 dining room tables for $1,700 with next day delivery. We purchased a sofa. The first one was delivered heavily damaged. We sent it back. The second one came with paint splashes on it, but Ashley and the delivery company requested that we keep the sofa in the home to see if they could fix it - with the option of requesting a replacement if we decided later to do so (if we changed our mind). After not being pleased with what we heard from customer service about the repair process, we requested a replacement. They went against their word and is now giving us run-around. Now we have to wait for someone to come into the home, take the sofa apart, reupholster the portion with the paint on it. So, we are going to get a sofa that has been taken apart and pieced back together - all with a different fabric run. And Ashley will not tell me if they will replace it them if we are not happy with the results.
Again, I keep getting the runaround. I should not have taken them at their word and should have sent this one back too. Lessons learned: don't ever buy from Ashley; you cannot trust them; they are not customer focused; they are too caught up in "policy" to do what is right for the customer; local store managers and regional mangers have no power over what happens when you walk out of the store.

The first shipper I contacted wouldn’t pick up the item because it weighed 72 lbs in the box. The second shipper would charge $234. The third shipper would charge $200. I contacted Ashley 6 times (3 via phone, 3 via text) to request that Ashley send me a label so that I could return ship using their negotiated rates.
I was willing to have the shipping deducted from my return, or even to pay for shipping up front. March 2023 we bought a reclining love seat from Ashley's located at 333 Matheson Blvd W, Mississauga, ON L5R 3G3. When the delivery people came to deliver our furniture, They dropped the love seat on the front right corner. This resulted in a bent frame and torn material on the kick out when he tried to grab and hold on to it. I informed the driver I did not want the sofa now and wanted it returned. As I went to call the store to tell them, the delivery guys told my wife they had to leave and someone would call leaving this broke piece of junk in my living room. Ashley sent out a tech to change the ripped pad and he left.
Once again I had to call telling them it was still not fixed as it was all loose and clunking when you sit in the seat. Once more they sent another tech that tore the back a park to adjust it and after he left we had a gap between the console and right side back you could see the window through and the outer side of the bake was loose and wouldn't lock in. Every call ends in text us pictures in detail and fill out the form. The third time they sent a fellow to change the frame for the one seat only rather than replace the sofa as I continued to request. Their excuse was we have to send a tech every time rather than solving the problem or satisfying the customer.
After the third tech we now have a 1 1/2 inch gaping opening on the side they continued to make worse and can now look out our window through the back of the sofa. One again I had to call, Once again was told text us pictures. This time almost 5 weeks passed waiting to hear from them and what they were going to do to fix this, but no call. When I called them I was told a supervisor would be calling me. Finally a fellow by the name of Jason called telling me he was from head office and as far as they were concerned it meets manufacture spec and they were not willing to repair it or do anything for me, so it was now my product, use it and live with it.
After spending good money and having them damage the produce I now have to live with a piece of junk that looks like I bought it from the thrift shop. This company does not honour its obligation to the customer and will leave you with damage goods. I had to shim the bent frame myself to help close the gap they created and left me with. I now have subpar product sitting in my living room that I will end up replace and wasting more money. The replacement will NOT be purchased with Ashley. Buy Be Ware!!!

We had one person who’s 100lbs sleeping on it. And it broke???? So they can’t send me a different bed because I don’t want it happening again. But they’ll send a guy out a month later without any parts! I’ve sent them what is broken and what they need. So they send a guy for nothing!!! Then they said they’ll send the parts. That’s another 2 months!!! And to have a service guy to come out again. I can’t believe I spent all this money and the customer service is the ** and warranty! How does any company stay afloat with service like that! Believe me I’ll be Telling everyone not to buy anything at ASHLEY Furniture!! I even asked if I can speak to someone about a complaint. Delivery dates are completely arbitrary. Customer service is TERRIBLE! Still have not received my order. Will never order from Ashley Furniture again. I placed an order for a bedroom set and chose a delivery date. The confirmation email stated that my delivery was successfully scheduled. However, I did not receive any shipping or tracking information regarding my delivery and it did not arrive on the scheduled date. I spoke with Sapna, who initially told me that I had already received my order the week before. Wrong! That was only part of my order. Why do I have to explain this to customer service? Then Sapna assured me that it would be delivered in 2 days. Once again, no shipping or tracking info and no delivery. I contacted customer service again and Asgar told me that he doesn’t even have access to my order delivery information, which is interesting because how did Sapna know my delivery would supposedly be delivered in 2 days?
Asgar transferred me to Martia, who told me that the ESTIMATED shipping date is one week from now, which means that it may or may not be delivered until even later because that is only an estimated date! When I asked for tracking information because this is the 3rd rep I’ve had to explain the situation to, she promptly transferred me to yet another rep. Chris then tells me that the items are back ordered and are projected to arrive in the warehouse in a week. This means that the furniture was not even in stock when I purchased it and I did not receive any notification of unavailability or back order until I spoke with 4 customer service reps! It is worth noting that Chris had a terrible attitude. I was subsequently transferred to Ganesh (5th rep I’m speaking with) and he informed me that he cannot help with anything so he is transferring me back to Martia! Aaahh!!!
To sum up, we will not be ordering from Ashley Furniture again. There is no guarantee that what you purchase is even in stock or that it will arrive on your selected delivery date. Customer service is unable to provide accurate information regarding your delivery. You will not be informed of any delays or back orders in shipping, so your only option is to wait and wait and wait… Who knows when I will actually get my furniture that my husband and I took off work to receive and assemble? Keeping my fingers crossed that my furniture will show up before the lease on my new apartment is over. WORST!

I was told that they could not have me send it back but I could donate the chair and send them a receipt saying it was donated and they would send me a new one. So, I donated the chair on 7/22. I emailed the receipt as instructed. On 8/16 I had not received a new chair or any email acknowledging my donation. I spoke to the customer service rep and was on the phone for over 45 minutes (after they disconnected my call the first time).
The rep told me that the chairs only come in a set of two and so they cannot send me a replacement chair!!! This man wants me to donate another one of my chairs before they will send me replacements. We bought 4 counter height stools from the AHF in Mason, OH. They had two in the store. When the salesman called the warehouse, he was told they had two and that we'd have to wait for 2 more "to come in" for us to receive our order. We were told they would be available for pickup in Dayton in 10 days. We wanted to bring home the 2 they had and just wait on the other 2, but were told no. We agreed to wait. After 15 days of silence from them, we were finally able to get through to "customer service." It involved multiple calls and long waits/being disconnected. We were told that they would not be getting the stools until sometime in September... So at least 10 WEEKS after we purchased. We cancelled the order that day. We waited an additional 5 days for the charge to be refunded on our credit card. Nothing. So, we initiated a credit card dispute on day 6 after cancelling.
We cancelled 20 days ago, and initiated the dispute 14 days ago and they finally issued the credit today. It took them less than 24 hours to charge our card; nearly 3 weeks to issue a refund on an order they could not complete. That's too bad. Their salesman seemed like a good person. He was helpful and not pushy. He promised a delivery date based on what he was told from the warehouse. The warehouse? Not helpful at all. They take your money quickly, but drag their feet on making anything right. I gave 1 out of 5 stars only because I couldn't give 0 stars.

I purchased a sofa from Ashley Furniture eight months ago. The whole middle cushion the zipper busted out and it’s coming apart from the back of the sofa. I took the extended warranty and I have not even had the sofa for one year. They sent a representative out to look at my sofa that I keep covered with blankets, I do have a dog which is a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix and the dog is only allowed out while we are home. When we leave the house the dog is crated. The person that came out to look at the sofa ask if I had a dog and of course I said yes, because I do. I have the exact same sofa that I had purchased seven years ago that held up wonderfully. I actually gave that sofa to my brother and he still has it - it’s just a little worn due to being eight years old. However, I purchase a new one the last less than eight months, I am very disappointed. The middle cushion has the zipper that busted out due to being overfilled with stuffing.
The representative from Ashley furniture said that it was from the dog, and he reported that the dog actually chewed on the sofa which is totally incorrect. There are no chew marks in the sofa. The dog has never chewed on the sofa. I have never been more disappointed in my life with a furniture company. Please please do yourself a favor do not purchase anything from this company. There are many other furniture stores out there that you can purchase quality furniture from and it appears that it’s not Ashley. They sent one person to look at the sofa who did nothing to resolve the issue. He also gave a incorrect diagnoses or what happened to the sofa.
Nothing happened to the sofa. It was a poor design in the middle cushion was over stuffed and busted out the zipper. I thought Ashley furniture was a decent company to buy from. That’s why I bought from them. I must be honest. I’ve never done a review before but I’m so dissatisfied. I thought it was necessary to give other possible customers a heads up. Very dissatisfied Customer.

Don't purchase anything here. We purchased an ultra-plush Stearns and Fosters (& Sealy Brand) mattress here about 2 years ago. Last week we came in to purchase an exact replacement for our mattress. A salesperson named Bob helped us and identified a mattress as the exact replacement. We purchased the mattress, and it arrived last Wednesday, only it was not ultra-plush, it was a soft. We went into the store the next day to ask to exchange it for the mattress we asked for. Sealy has a 90-day trial period. We were told they would need to contact their warehouse to perform the exchange.
On Friday, Bob called us to tell us we got the mattress he ordered. Bob admitted to me on the phone that he ordered a soft and not an ultra-plush, and that he would need to contact a different manager for the exchange, and he would be returning my call on Monday. He never returned our call. I called today, Wednesday, to find out they will not be honoring an exchange and that the sale was final. They decided to throw away a repeat customer, someone who has spent over $8k in the last two years and would be spending with them again in the future.
Instead, they would not honor the mattress's trial policy and of course lost any future business from us, but I also want to protect you. If you are in the market for mattresses, try them out at a better store. If this store carries the brand you want, try it out there, then purchase online directly through the brand as they will honor their trial periods, where this Ashley store will not.

When opened, it was evident this table had been previously assembled. The table was partially assembled with parts missing. Efforts to work with the Customer Service Department, so far, have been to no avail. In the past 9 days I've talked to 7 different people. Each time the call drops after 15 minutes or so. I paid extra 250 for delivery AND Assembly. And of course, the furniture doesn't fit into the house. Which I knew it would need to be disassembled, and then re assembled - it's a large sectional! Which was why I paid extra for it. I had to send it back bc it got damaged trying to put the couch in the house. Calling customer service was a nightmare. They kept asking if I wanted to know the status of my delivery - obviously I know the status.
Then they asked if I wanted a refund, I told them no I want the couch. They refunded the cost of the couch but not the extra 250. I called the store and they were able to fill me in - basically don't buy online! They don't do assembly even though it says they do and now I'm being charged for the delivery even though it's damaged and I can't take it. Absolute nightmare dealing with this place! As a first time customer, I needed to get a brand-new, firm mattress as my other mattress was no good after 4 years. What struck me about this place was their "10-year limited warranty" which was advertised on the product that I purchased, as well as under their "Warranty" section of their website. I always double-check everything before making a purchase, especially on something I'm spending a lot of money on. I received the product shortly after, and just took it out of the box a week later.
Although the mattress is beautiful and clean, I'm not sure how it's going to be after I start using it. But, I was happy with the 10-year warranty, because after my last 4-year old mattress started caving, I thought this would be a good time frame to know if it's going to work out for me or not. As I went to register my product, I was told that it only had a 1-year limited warranty, and I was beyond irate. I told them they are falsely adverting to scam and manipulate people. I asked why it said what it said if it wasn't the case, and all they could do was avoid the question and go around it, but never actually answering me. It's all manipulation to get people to buy things that they don't stand behind.
I refuse to be conned by anyone, and won't let them get away with this. I've told them I was going to report them. I asked why it told me one thing if it was the opposite and they still couldn't answer me. Faulty business they're running and I would be happy to see them shut down! I spent over $500, and they told me I could extend my 1-year for more money! Absolutely not! Especially when it should've been 10 years to begin with! Absolutely disgusted and will NEVER ever order or be taken advantage of from this company again! I don't have $500 to dish out every few years because something might break down, all because they told me otherwise, that's ridiculous and they shouldn't even be in business. Wish I did more research about this company before purchasing from them...they need to have their website taken down, or their correct policies need to be addressed!!! Point. Blank. Period.

I hadn't had new furniture since the 90's, so my 3 children got their money together and spent $3,000 on a sofa and loveseat, on June 6, 2023. Once the furniture was in my home, it was obvious that the couch cushions were a different color than the couch, so I complained. Granted, I did receive replacement cushions. As the months rolled by, I was having more difficulty getting out of the couch. I was literally getting swallowed with the sinking cushions. Not to hurt my children's feelings, I bought those boards to strengthen the cushions. In total, I spent over $200 but nothing seemed to work. I was getting backaches.
Finally fessed up to the kids. I went into Ashley Furniture in Eatontown on July 2nd and a very nice man (Rufus?) took my information, and told me they would contact me right away. I waited a week. I went back into the store. Rufus seemed embarrassed, went to page where he originally contacted home office, and their response was "Customer was contacted". I was not contacted. Giving them the benefit of doubt that they might have dialed wrong, I gave Rufus my cell phone number. I have yet to hear back and it's the 23rd. Granted, I am over the year, but, had they contacted me, apologized or whatever, perhaps I would have attempted to "try again". The fact was they already had payment, they didn't need to "make nice" anymore. I had to contact a company that picks up junk and visited a more reputable company to order more furniture. No one provided warranty paperwork or specific details. We were only told that any damage would be covered. We've had the table one and a half years and the finish is coming off. In October of 2022, I purchased over $13K worth of furniture from the Ashley Furniture location in Staten Island which included two bedroom sets and two couches. The furniture was delivered in February of 2023. One bedroom set was delivered with cracks in the wood and one couch was delivered with a ripe down the side in the material. I sent the bedroom set and couch back that same day and a new bedroom set and couch was not delivered until May.
In April of 2022, before the new bedroom set and couch arrived I purchased two additional bedroom sets and four mattresses totaling over $8K from the Ashley Furniture location in Staten Island. The salesperson who worked on my order was named Gigi. It is important to note that on both occasions I was never told by the salesperson at the time of purchase that any of the items were final sale or a NO return policy upon delivery.
After the furniture mattresses were delivered, I contacted Gigi to let her know that I needed to exchange the queen-size mattress for a king-size mattress. Gigi said that this would be fine but in order to process the exchange I would have to come into the store. This week I returned to the Ashley Furniture location in Staten Island to process the exchange. I dealt with a different salesperson at the store. I let this person know that I was told by Gigi an exchange had to be done in-store and she pulled up my order and I confirmed the queen-size mattress purchased for $1,700 was what I had wanted to exchange for a king size and that it was delivered but still sealed as it was never taken out of the package.
The salesperson called customer service and when she hung up with the sales associate she told me that there was a 3-day window after the delivery date to return mattresses and because my queen-size mattress was delivered end of May the store could not process a return or exchange. I asked to speak with the sales associate who was named Fran.
When I had Fran on the phone while still at the store location, she told me the salesperson who advised me of a 3-day window return policy was wrong and that upon delivery mattresses were final sale whether or not still sealed in the packaging it was delivered in. Then Fran said the only return permitted is on the date of delivery if customer service is contacted about a defect in the mattress, but that because I made no such call I was stuck with the queen-size mattress.
Fran was extremely rude and condescending during our call. When I expressed to Fran how upset I was given I spent over $20K on furniture from the store and not only was I never told in advance that any items had a no return policy but rather I was told by the salesperson at the store Gigi I COULD EXCHANGE the mattress unopened --she stated in response "Look, how many times do I have to tell you, we don't allow returns on bedding items bottom line." I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said no and gave me an e-mail address to contact.
After I left, I looked on the main Ashley Furniture website to see if there was a return policy listed and there was conflicting information. According to the website, returns for in-store purchases might have different policies and suggested to contact the store directly. It further states that returns are permitted within 30 days from the delivery date but then in a separate section, it states mattresses can be returned if damaged or later found defective and suggested to contact customer service within 72 hours of delivery.
Notably, I was taken aback by how many negative reviews I found regarding the very same issues I experienced with the Ashley Furniture. The negative reviews all mention defective furniture being delivered and no advance notice given that items had a no-return policy or specific window of time to do so. Despite these negative experiences so many customers faced with Ashley Furniture it seems that the corporate office could care less!!!

They will not agree to deliver the correct furniture later in the afternoon or early in the morning so that I don't have to take a whole day off of work (which is hard to do this time of year). I am more willing to work with them vs. them trying to work with me. Again, THEY are the ones that screwed up. They are refusing to deliver first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon. I told them they screwed up, I have it scheduled for the 5th. He said, "The 5th is full now." Again, they screwed up on entering the incorrect delivery date.
Now I have to return the incorrect/damaged furniture and pick my own things up when I paid for delivery. To make matters worse, I bought a kitchen table from them a few years ago. I just sold my old table and took the one I bought out of the box. NO LEGS!! They did not deliver the legs. Ashley Furniture customer service is the outright worst. I called them about cleaning instructions, and despite providing them the material of the couch and the product number, no one seemed to know how to provide cleaning guidance, and their English was poor. This was after calling them twice and asking for simple cleaning instructions. This demonstrates a total lack of training of their employees and disregard for customer service. Please don't purchase from Ashley Furniture... They don't give a crap.

My husband and I inquired about buying a couch on Sunday, and we decided to go with a different vendor. I kindly communicated with Ashley customer service that unfortunately I had a better financing deal and would not be purchasing the couch. Please let me reiterate my husband and I signed nothing. We authorized nothing. Today we found out that Ashley went ahead and charged our credit card over $4,200 and wanted to deliver a couch that I never ordered. I never signed for this purchase and I never ever ever authorized it. I have spent the whole day disputing these charges, and explaining my situation and what Ashley did to us. To add insult to injury, we left the store on Sunday emotionally upset because our dog had just passed away a week prior.
The salesman gave his condolences, and told us to take our time deciding on the couch. So it amazes me that the next day they actually charged my credit card without my permission after telling me how sorry they were that my dog had passed. I highly suggest anyone in the market for furniture, stay as far away from this company as possible. I have still not been given an explanation as to how or why my credit card was charged without any type of authorization. It is a crime that this business is allowed to stay open; don't be their next victim. Their furniture is subpar at best and you don't want your credit card charged without your permission. They need to be held accountable as they certainly don't have the customers best interest in mind, but instead their Commission. STAY AWAY!! Store in Middletown, NY. Manager was Austin.

I purchased a sofa and loveseat from Ashley Furniture in March 2023, but a couple of days later noticed the left side of the sofa was broken. I contacted customer service, and they assured me that a technician would be sent to fix it. However, three weeks went by without any progress, and when the technician finally arrived, they informed me that certain parts needed to be ordered. Another three weeks passed, but still no sign of the parts or the technician. Frustrated, I decided to call Ashley and they informed me that they would replace the sofa instead. After a couple of weeks, I received the disappointing news that the product had been discontinued. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to customer service via email, only to be offered a 10% discount, which would also void the warranty.
Dissatisfied with this proposal, I declined, and a month later, someone arrived at my door to collect the sofa without offering a replacement, only a refund for the purchase. This experience with their customer service has been extremely disappointing. It leaves me wondering where I am supposed to sit now. Are we expected to sit on the floor? It is frustrating that they did not even offer a replacement or another model. Considering the terrible customer service I received, I have decided that I will never purchase from them again. There are plenty of other options available in the market. It seems like they believe they are too big to be held accountable for their actions. However, with all the complaints being made about them, only time will tell if they are truly too big to fail.

Remember this before you go to Ashley Furniture to buy anything. This is an example of how Ashley Furniture treats their customers after a sale. I purchased a bed set from Ashley on January 15, 2022. After it was finally delivered, the installer came and refused to install it with my Tempur-pedic mattress saying that the mattress was too heavy for the bed frame. I have been trying since then to get them to refund my purchase price and they have refused to do it saying that I could pick out something else. I finally sent them a demand letter claiming three times the damages under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices act. It has been 16 months and they finally sent me a refund in May of 2023. Google Ashley complaints and you will see this is how they treat many of their customers.

Only response is their system is done. The biggest furniture retailers North American system is out for a week. Do you believe it? And she was so busy that without make sure, she said "yes". 2 weeks later, we received the wrong order. I called 17 times!!!! to tell them what happened and they never answer the phone call. I had to go and make my complaint. At the beginning they say it was not their Fault. Then they try to fix the mess and send me another sofa. A month later... I'm still waiting that they call me back or give me some news about my order. Literally a mess! The manager told me that she was supposed to called me back or sent a email but I'm still waiting. On June 14, 2023, I went in to see why they keep lying about calling me to set up a technician to come out to check the manufacturing of defective furniture they sold me. I was shocked to witness the rude and dismissive manager KEN say to me, "I AM NOT GOING TO ANSWER ANYMORE OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND I REFUSE TO TALK TO YOU"! I said, "Wow, you are changing your words and that is deceiving lies. I do not trust you or your company" and I do not want "ANYTHING FROM YOUR STORE. YOU PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND CRIMINALS"! I asked Ken for his regional manager's number, and he yelled at me, "I do not have it and I can not give to you. He said he does not want me to give it to you. Plus he is on vacation right now! I purchased a $2799.19 RAF SOFA SLEEPER, LAF CORNER CHAISE, w/ matching OTTOMAN. It took almost 2 months to receive the purchase of my new townhouse. I noticed it was defective after using it within the first 2 weeks. I became ill, plus I am disabled, and was also a full M.A. student at SFSU preparing for graduation on May 26, 2023, and working on my master’s thesis so, I did not have the energy or time to address this issue. Only 3 months and the cushions on my Sofa sectional are going down and losing all their cushion and now they are starting to look flat and old and sitting flat and very uncomfortable. I did spend $299.99 on a 5-year warranty, what a joke, turns out to be totally worthless. It doesn’t even cover the cushions!
Plus, I was under the impression that the $289.99 protection insurance that I was sold would protect my factory malfunction new purchase. The armrest is missing a long strip of wood to support the armrest when you lean on it. Also, there is a deep long sinking into more hard painful wood without proper cushioning. It also makes these loud awkward air-filled noises and squeaks like it needs oil but, it's a couch armrest made from cloth, and it does not have metal or leather.
I paid $289.99 for a five-year protection plan. However, upon speaking to them today on June 2, 2023, they told me they don't protect these types of things. They informed me that I would need to call Ashley Furniture directly, which I did, and I did not get an answer. No one answered their phones. I see they have a history of scamming people. I purchased a beautiful bedroom set back in Feb of this year. It's the entire bed, dresser, 2 nightstands, a vanity and stool. The day it was delivered I told the men who set it up that there were dents in the headboard, a CHUNK missing out of the footboard and then I saw the vanity. Totally put together BACKWARDS! The stool that goes underneath it was about 3-4 feet away from it. I told them the legs were on backwards. They assured me that they were not. I then asked them how I was supposed to put the stool underneath it? There's a wooden bar that goes across the two legs they had put in front and none between the back two legs. I said they put the legs on backwards. They said - it's the only way it would go together. It was a "manufacturer error" and that I needed to call them and have it replaced.
I immediately sent in photos along with everything that was wrong and all that had transpired that same day - actually same hour! One week later around 11pm the bed totally fell to the floor while my husband and I were asleep. There were only 3 small pieces of wood holding my bed up and one of the screws wasn't even long enough to connect to the 2nd piece of wood. Nor were there any legs under it for support. Skip forward to today, May 31st, over THREE MONTHS LATER - I have now taken off work 4 days to have my furniture fixed.
Day 1 - they didn't come with the entire bed.Day 2 - they called that day and said it was damaged in transit so had to reschedule.
Day 3 - AGAIN, they didn't come with the entire bed. They said they were not told to bring the side rails. I showed them ONCE AGAIN, the inside of them had been ripped apart as the screws pulled out and the bed fell.
Day 4 - arriving between 9:15-12:15 - I received a text message at 9:14 am saying they will arrive in approximately 30 minutes. At 1:00 I left my house - very upset...again! At 1:08 my Ring went off that someone was at my door. I told them too late! I had to get to work. So...what to do?
By the way, this furniture is silver, has beaded drawer fronts and rhinestone handles. This was my perfect bedroom set! I wanted to make sure it lasts forever so I called Keller Glass & Mirror and had them specifically cut me 4 pieces of glass back in Feb once my furniture had arrived. They had to come out and measure and make a pattern of the mirror cutouts as well as the corners. A week later, they installed it and my bedroom is gorgeous! But I still have a BROKEN bed with dents and a chunk missing!
At this point, I've made calls - many calls. Today I spoke with "Joe" for about 12 minutes and was placed on hold. He was going to see if they would discount the bed as I am NOT taking off for this again. At 15 minutes, I was disconnected. He had asked if the number I was calling on was the same as on my account and I had said yes. But nope! He did not return the call.
I then called him back, only to find out you cannot contact a "specific person". I let her know that she did NOT want to be the one to speak to me. Ask Joe! He already did! He had about 12 full minutes of my story, disappointment in their customer service (which by the way - if you call customer service phone line, it tells you to call the store you purchased from - so it's just a GIANT CIRCLE of Cr@p! The lady, Carla had me start all over AGAIN!
She put me on hold to see how much they could compensate the bed for if I dropped it. She came back saying $262. I said NO! Come get my furniture! I told her I wanted to speak to her superior. She said that wasn't possible - and couldn't give me a phone number. I said then put me on 3 way or tell her to get on this line. I was then put on hold after exactly 24 minutes and 34 seconds of conversation. So I stayed on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. It was now 1:11
EXACTLY 5 minutes later, I received a text message saying "Great, you're all set. We'll see you on 06/01/23. I'll let you know when the driver is about to head over." It came through TWICE. I answered back NO. I'm returning my products. Ashley Home Furniture - you guys are a total disappointment! I will never purchase anything from your company again. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

My wife and I wanted a sofa with chaise in white for our new Florida condo. We found a nice-looking piece at Ashley, but were concerned about its thin vinyl upholstery. The sales rep offered insurance against wear and damage, which we bought believing it would protect our $1,100 purchase. Within two years -- and despite rather limited use of the furniture -- the vinyl inexplicably became hardened in various places, and shortly afterward began to crack. Ashley's insurance did not apply, we were told, because we had not punctured or cut the vinyl; and protection against defective material or manufacturing, which we thought we had purchased, did not apply. I then had the cracks professionally repaired for $220, but within two months the vinyl started hardening and cracking there and in other places. Now it's four years later and the sofa looks horrible.
It's worth noting that my wife and I take good care of our home and its furnishings, and we believe the only way this sofa with chaise might have lasted would have been to not use it at all. The next step is to pay a junk hauler to have it removed from our condo. After this experience, and after reading many of the reviews posted here, my wife and I consider Ashley Furniture to be among the lowest of the low furniture retailers. Needless to say we would never purchase from them again, and we have advised our friends and family accordingly.

Husband and I bought a $8400 6 piece couch set. We were assured repeatedly that it was highest quality and extremely durable. When time for delivery, 3 pieces didn’t even make it off the truck. They were broken and or faulty. I was then left with half a couch set in my home. An hr after they left I noticed my one recliner made a clunking sound and the other 2 pieces, the stitching was already coming loose and the staples underneath were not holding. I called customer care only to be told, "Too bad, it’s already in your possession, we will send a tech." That was not acceptable to me as obviously the entire set was faulty to begin with.
I called the store directly to be told by Brandon that he would order me a new recliner as it was making that clunking noise and because it hadn’t even been removed from their manifest yet so he knew it was a fresh delivery. I also then asked to speak to the manager as this whole experience was awful. The manager just said over and over, that they would call a tech. When I explained that I was not ok with my $8400 furniture needing a tech not even 24 hrs after delivery and that Brandon told me a new one would be sent out, he proceeds to put Brandon on the phone only for him to deny up and down that he said that. I asked flat out, "So you are calling me a liar then?" He said, "Well I never said that so guess so."
I asked to speak to Peter again (manager) to be told he didn’t want to speak to me. I said well that’s too bad put him back on the phone. Only to be given even more attitude and disrespect from him. He kept telling me nope, a tech, or I can pay a restocking fee. I was very clear on how this is not what I bought. Never once was I told that my brand new high end quality furniture would need a tech within the first 24 hrs! He finally said, "Fine I’ll request a whole new 6 piece." I said ok cool, how long will that take? He gets even more disrespectful and adds a very rude tone “I don’t know!” Well isn’t that your job to know? I said, "You do not understand the frustration here" and he yells “omg!” And hangs up. Then proceeds to leave the building as he didn’t want to speak to me again.
I also continued to call customer care where I was told over and over that I have to pay a 25% restocking fee to get a refund. Agent told me my fee would be $408. I finally just agreed as I needed the rest of my money back. I said, "Note that on my file and I will call you back." I call back and get another agent who told me that agent didn’t do the math correctly and I have to pay $840 plus 10% on the 3 pieces that didn’t enter my home. I said absolute not! They refused to honor what the first agent told me. I then called back to confirm it was being processed to be then told that I also know had to pay a $100 delivery fee!! Again said no!
The guy kept cutting me off and being very rude! I am hoping someone higher up will see this and resolve this situation fully with me not having to pay anything! If anything, the original amount I was originally told! It seems like every agent is reading off a script as they have been trained to not help the customers like they are employed to do! Never ever will I shop there again and I will scream my story from the roof tops for everyone.

Customer service when we purchased was great. They accommodated our needs, went over and above. However, the problem was with delivery. We purchased the white glove delivery, paid extra for the service, to make sure everything goes well. Delivery people did not use floor runners (it was raining heavily), we had to put towels, sheets on the floor for them. They dragged the furniture on our floor instead of lifting. In doing so, they damaged our brand new stairs finished the day before because of dragging the furniture all the way down.
We showed the delivery people the damage and asked them what they're going to do about it, and they said to call customer service. We called and send it pictures with the damaged stairs and complained about the delivery being sloppy and did not get what we paid for. Long story short, they refuse to pay for the damages and on top of it refused to reimburse us for the white glove delivery. We will never purchase anything from them again.

On February 14, 2023 a couch was delivered to my home from the Ashely Furniture Store located on South Loop, Chicago. When the couch was delivered, I noticed there was some damage. I reached out the Ashley Furniture the next day to resolve the issue/report the damage. Instead of offering a refund or exchanging the couch, they sent out a technician through the warranty to try and repair the damage. I found this suspicious since the couch was damaged upon delivery, NOT from damage caused by myself or any other action listed in the warranty. The service technician attempted to make 3 appointments to fix the couch, but failed to make any of those appointments. They asked me to send multiple pictures of the couch and the damage to order parts, but managed to order the wrong parts not once, but twice.
Finally on April 20, a technician was able to come to try to repair. Not only did they not have the right parts-again, but attempted to fix the side of the couch that did not need to be fixed in order to charge the store. I am very disappointed with the service since I’ve had to call off work 3 times to accommodate for these appointments and when the technician came to “repair” the couch, I was told that if they didn’t make any repair (even though they did not have right parts for the actual damage) this would mess with the warranty if nothing was done. From this experience with Ashley and the warranty, the service has been atrocious and would not recommend it to anyone.

I will never again shop Ashley. Timeline: 12/2021 I purchased a very large sectional and king bedroom set. As we all know due to Covid everything was back ordered. 6-8 weeks. I received the furniture late June 2022. By December the section was literally falling apart. Still well within the one year warranty on top of buying the max care. I spoke with Tangarey. This started a FOUR month process of multiple calls and emails. Finally mid-April 2023 I get told you can go pick out your replacement. But here’s the catch, they only give you a store credit for the amount you purchased the couch for with 14 days to use it.
Let’s face it inflation is crazy right now. So I went online and it $1599 MORE than it was when I bought it. So if I want the same couch I have to come out of pocket. It took 5 and a half hours on my only day off to get service. I order one quite a bit smaller and not quite one I wanted, that I still had to come out of pocket an additional $453. They deliver the pieces wrapped in plastic and cardboard and leave. I start opening everything up to set it up, because let’s face it I’ve now spent $7,000 at Ashley and I didn’t want to give them another penny. One piece has a huge tear on the bottom 5”+ and another has a 7” stain on it. I call, wanting nothing more to do with these people, they won’t take it back, they won’t give me a refund, they offered me $100 GC for my troubles. Are you kidding me?! Go somewhere else. Back alley furniture is better than Ashley.

Purchase the couch suite in March 2022. Six months after owning it notice there was a seam on the upper cushion that has come apart, it was a manufacturer defect. Contacted Ashley guest care services. Explain to them what was. Sent some pictures, etc. Instead of technician would be in contact with me two months go by. Have not heard from them. I contact them again guest services, they claim they didn't get the pictures so I resent them again. This time they said they got them and they're going to have a cushion mailed out to them and have a service technician call me and have it repaired. 3 months later no repairman, no call, no cushion.
Once again, I call guest services. They claim they need to ask me something, question- "Was the cushion sent out to you." I told him, "No the cushion was not sent out to me and was never intended to be sent out to me and no contact from any technician, etc. They claim you'll be contacting me within 48 hours which doesn't happened." This is just a complete runaround. I would suggest you never buy anything from Ashley Furniture. They are nothing but a farce. If I can give minus Stars I would. The product in the store was actually very well put together but when I got the product home it was so so, not as nice as the store unit. And then when the defect happen it's nearly impossible to get it repaired. To find a store that's willing to do repairs replacement, etc because Ashley furniture will not do that for you.

PLEASE do not continue to purchase from this company. I have had many deliveries and bought from several other companies that were TOP NOTCH service. This company is beyond BAD.. Reprehensible and atrocious. I have never in my life dealt with such incompetence and unprofessionalism from the top to the bottom of the food chain at any corporation. They literally do not have a consumer complaint department and it's quite apparent why. I ordered three pieces of furniture in Feb. I was told they only deliver once a month to my area. I get lots of deliveries here daily, but I let that slide. The first delivery attempt I did communicate with the driver. I had to take my son to the hospital and I was returning but he refused to wait and would not come back. He asked me if I wanted him to drop the items off at the home store in Reno. I agreed to do that as I didn't want to wait another month.
Meanwhile, he never told me ONE of my items was NOT ON THE TRUCK. It was on BACKORDER and would not be here for another month anyway. I got a call from the Reno Store asking about pick up of our items. But I had already received a call from the dispatch store asking when I wanted to reschedule my delivery. I was confused. I assumed they decided do the delivery for us since they called to reschedule. However, I was never told it was only the one item that was on backorder. I still had to pick up my night stands at the Reno Store. We had to borrow a truck, my husband had to take the day off work, and go to the store to pick up the night stands.
When I talked to the Reno Store, and shared my frustration with them, she asked me to not speak to her with the tone I was speaking in....lol. She refused to remove the delivery fee as we were still having one item delivered. What a JOKE. This place had about 15 people standing around on the floor with their hands on their phones and staring at us as we shared our concerns... We had to drive around the back of the store and the girl then informed us there was no one there to help us load the night stands as they leave by 3:30 every day. Meanwhile there were 5 salesmen or janitors or whatever they were standing there staring at us as we left our disabled son in the front of the truck and loaded the furniture ourselves. WHAT A JOKE.
BUT it doesn't stop THERE.... The delivery for our chest was due on Wed of that same week. I waited here all day for them. We don't have the best service here so when they called I didn't get the ring. They left a note on our gate saying they were here. My "puppy" was inside locked up and they never came through the gate to knock on our door. When I called back...again the girl asked me to refrain from my tone. She said there was nothing she could do. They already left. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another piece of Ashley furniture. I will blast their incompetence all over every social media outlet I can and I will post it on every local Facebook page possible.
They refuse to return the fee. They really could care less about serving anyone at this place. Even when we were there and expressing the lack of communication two of the people at the front desk gave us dirty looks and said.. "those are in the back"....matter-of-factly. NO appeal, or apology. No compassion or empathy. NOTHING. Seriously. I have had bad customer service. BUT this is above and beyond anything I could imagine. I would not want my worst enemy to shop at this establishment...

Delivery guys took photos and said we'd be contacted. 3 days pass with no contact so I call Ashley support line. Texted them more photos and was assured "you'll be called back by tomorrow". Days go by and I have to follow-up 4times in the first week and after a call today for 30mins am told replacement back, side and front of one loveseat will be ordered then a technician scheduled to repair it and try to clean the rust and grease stains on two other pieces. Only if the repair can't be completed will they consider a replacement Loveseat!
No! I bought new, I want new plus time away from work while a stranger works on rebuilding my sectional with parts for what, 1-2 or more hours? I've escalated but no resolution. All this vs a simple replacement piece and I'd be writing a glowing review. Such a hassle on this. We'll never shop at this company again despite us liking their furniture and had made a list for our next purchases. Sales A+. Customer Support: F.

Ashley (Oxford, MS). Dufresne Spencer Group. Ashley Furniture. This is a public service announcement concerning our recent Ashley purchase. This post has nothing to do with the furniture itself, as it arrived unscathed and is satisfactory to date. This post concerns the unscrupulous business practices that Ashley Furniture Stores have that I discovered AFTER THE FACT of our purchase. I am just posting this to warn others, so they might be safeguarded against spending hundreds of dollars extra if they are considering purchasing any Ashley Furniture from any brick and mortar Ashley store location.
On Saturday, March 25, my husband and I drove to the Ashley (Oxford, MS) store location to look at a recliner I had seen online on the corporate Ashley website. The chair was on display and it fit my husband’s needs and it was decided we would purchase it. However, the hang tag on the chair stated it was $1699.99. The website stated $1299.99. I requested price matching to receive the Ashley corporate online pricing which I only knew they offered because our son had just received it on his recent Ashley purchase.
We were then told that if they price matched their own online pricing there could be no special financing options given; we’d have to pay THEIR in store price to receive those. That was not an issue for us because we were paying in cash. But I also knew what this stipulation meant: Ashley Furniture stores bait people into thinking they are getting something for an extended payment period and interest free, but they are actually paying a padded price upfront which is equal to or more than what the interest charges would have been in the first place.
We knew protection plans and extended furniture warranties are a ripoff in general, so we adamantly declined that coverage. They did our paperwork, and added a door step delivery fee that our salesperson stated was not negotiable. Since shipping comes from Memphis and we weren’t going there to pick it up ourselves to avoid those charges, we paid, we left.
The next day, my husband got online to look at the corporate website’s pictures of the chair again. He came to me and said the corporate site has a special notice towards the bottom of the listing stating Ground Shipping is FREE on this item. I was livid. We had just paid $159.99 extra to have this exact chair delivered to our home. The delivery time online would have only added two extra days. I imagine the corporate site would ship out of the same Memphis warehouse for our region that the delivery driver was scheduled to use.
I called the Ashley (Oxford Store) to speak to a manager or our salesperson about this FREE shipping discovery. Evidently they screen calls because neither person was available and I was told one of them would call me back. The woman who answered the phone asked what my call pertained to and I adamantly expressed my displeasure. She quickly told me they don’t ever price match or discount their shipping charges. She said “we have a brick and mortar store, we have expenses to pay.” What a flippant response. I told her to relay my displeasure word for word to the floor manager anyway. It has been days now and no one at the Ashley (Oxford MS) has attempted to return my call, even as a courtesy. Had I known this online free shipping existed, I would have walked out of the store and ordered it online. Then that brick and mortar store wouldn’t have had a sale at all. That surely wouldn’t help those expenses I was told they have.
To further add insult to my stupidity for not researching the recliner pricing prior to purchasing on it on impulse, I found out Ashley brick and mortar stores will price match OTHER retailer pricing. After I discovered that, I found several other large retailers with online websites such as Amazon, Overstock, even Big Lots, who have the exact recliner listed for less than the corporate Ashley website and with free shipping as well. The recliner was also listed as in stock at all these places and included the same delivery timeframe as if we had ordered it from Ashley. MY ADVICE: Do your homework. Go in a brick and mortar Ashley store, touch, feel, sit, ask questions, then thank those sales people for their time and go home and get online. Make sure you get the best price available. Don’t be stupid like we were.
***Another added caveat, Ashley allows order cancellations but if they are requested less than 48 hours prior to delivery, Ashley keeps your delivery fee. Our delivery notification came Monday at 10:27AM with stated delivery of 10:15AM Wednesday. Coincidence that the notification did not allow me 48+ hours to cancel? I don’t think so. Now all we have to do is pray we are pleased with this recliner and it gives us at least a few years of decent service. Lesson learned. The hard way.

I am a disgruntled customer of Ashley DSG. I have dealt with this catastrophe for over a year from this horrible company. I will never do business with this company again! Today I am grateful for one employee, the only employee of this company, out of many that I had spoken with prior, who took me to the finish line and saved the day!
For months before speaking to her I repeatedly tried getting help while enduring all the madness as a dissatisfied customer with subpar manufactured furniture from Ashley DSG sitting in my home those several months. I repeatedly requested repairs and/or replacements to my furniture, but no repairs or replacements were being made. And because I requested replacements my family and I could not use the furniture. My husband and I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor for several months. Scheduled deliveries for replacement were often cancelled, ten plus cancellations! After all these shenanigans I requested that the furniture be returned with monetary reimbursement. Ultimately Ashley DSG refused to take the furniture back until I spoke to MS. NORMA **, an escalation lead specialist for Ashley DSG.
She is a life saver! She is the definition of a true professional. When I had no more hope that my horrible situation would be handled, she was there. When no one else followed through with their duties to satisfy a deliriously frustrated customer, including her supervisor Sharon **, she was there. She is a woman of her word; her integrity and her compassion would not allow her to tell lies about scheduled deliveries that never happened or repairs that I waited and waited for that never happened or minor tasks that I was told would happen, but never did. I believe I was lied to so many times by those employees I had spoken with before Ms Norma, to protect DSG's interest in the company. It seemed for them it was all about saving DSG some time and money on returns. I'm sure this is what they are trained to do. Not Ms. Norma, she did what was right and I so appreciate and respect her for that.
Ashley DSG doesn't deserve an extraordinary employee like Ms Norma. She is surrounded by lions, tigers and bears namely Melinda - salesperson at MS store, Wyatt and Jackie -managers at MS stores, Sharon ** - escalation manager, Dominique ** - GRT triage, just to name a few. The worst of the wild kingdom are the two snakes in the grass, Chad Spencer and Mark Dufresne. Before they became involved with this company, it was decent, not perfect, but decent. To add insult to injury, they have the nerve to hide behind their fake Christianity.
In my opinion, Ms. Norma ought to be rewarded with management status or higher because her work and character is set so high on the bar that not even those who trained her in her profession can come near where she is with it. Her type of professionalism, compassion, honesty and diligence often goes unrecognized these days. This is why I write on her behalf today. She is among the elite for the excellent customer service she gives. There are very few like her left in the business industry. Money rules these days, not integrity, compassion and a zeal for doing what is right. MS. NORMA THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN! YOU HAVE TAKEN A LOAD OFF MY SHOULDERS!! You will be blessed with all that is good for your divine work! Sincerely, Vanessa

Purchased power recliner in February. After 2 weeks, seat cushion began to puff up as if there was no/very little filling. Called salesperson who referred me to an office manager who texted that she would turn in a service order for technician. After waiting 4 days and no response, called customer service and was told they did not have a service order. Finally issued order and I had to wait 2 weeks for technician. Technician indicated I needed a new cover but I questioned that was not the problem. Received a text from Ashley that they were shipping a cover and to call service when it arrived. Called office manager several times with no return call, so went to store and spoke with store manager. He took one look at picture of recliner and agreed the problem was not cover but I needed a cushion.
However, here is the process that I must go through to resolve: 1. Wait for cover (wrong part) to arrive in 2 weeks. 2. Call customer service to schedule a tech. 3. Tech to come out and confirm wrong part. 4. Call store manager to order the cushion. 5. Wait for shipment to arrive. 6. Call customer service to schedule a tech for the third time. 7. Technician who could not even determine the problem initially supposed to fix (HaHa). Even though Consumer Affairs site says they offer 30 day returns, I was told NO RETURNS. Sale is final when customer takes possession. No Exchanges. Buyers beware: These people take advantage by selling very poor quality furniture and not standing by what they sell. Now I am being told by customer service and the so called store manager that there’s no refund possible at all. I have never in my life heard from any furniture store that something is not refundable. Their solution is to send a technician out to "assess" the couch a month after it was delivered. The warranty company approved my claim and said I had 30 days to return the mattress and receive a $289.40 credit towards a new one of the same brand which now cost over $900.00. I paid $258.80 by personal check, and the rest is financed with a Wells Fargo Credit Card applied for during the sale. Calls to the establishment go unanswered. However, the Ashley technicians had trouble assembling some of the chairs and the company had to schedule another delivery/assembly technician to come out on 12/4/21. They still had problems with assembling the chairs and had to come out again on 1/10/22. The problem seemed to be that the screws were stripping and they couldn’t get them all the way in.

About a month of setting on the couch it started to squeak, not just a little, but loud enough that company mentioned it.
I determined the back of the couch was moving when sat on causing the squeaking noise. I decided to take the legs off and remove the covering under the couch to see what was causing the squeak. When I removed the cover I was amazed what was holding this couch together. It was basically sticks of wood and not much of it. After inspection I decided to go buy lumber to reinforce what was there. After basically rebuilding the frame I now have a couch that will support a human without squeaks. Well, after carefully shopping around I decided on a sectional sofa and a set of side tables & coffee table to go along with the sofa. And a dresser for the bedroom. Paid in full with my credit card. The furniture arrived as scheduled. The tables and the dresser were great. The sofa on the other hand was a complete disaster. There were: material was uneven, had folds, sewn over, crooked. The frame itself was " off" and the legs were not where they were supposed to be. Cushions under stuffed, too small for the sofa pieces. Went to the store, showed photos. Was told to fill out form & send it in with photos. The salesman said "You got a Monday couch or a Friday end of shift couch".
Sent in the request with pics. I was refused compensation or a replacement. I appealed, they sent a specialist. He said it was a terrible i build, they would send a person over to fix it. I asked several for a refund and was told they don't do refunds! He said to me "this looks like a Monday morning or friday late shift made couch". Sounds familiar? Long story short...They have come to my place 4 times (that's 16 hours of my time by the way) And they're still not done. It would of been way easier to get me another sofa right? And the person doing the many repairs said to me "Looks like you got a Monday morning sofa or a Friday end of shift sofa".
They have offered 20% refund or 25% store credit. I said 25% refund and they refused. @ 20% refund would be around 190.00, My time is worth more than twice that!!! I'm only asking 25%. Still not done with them. Terrible customer service so far from the management. I bought this in mid November and we are now in mid March. Still not resolved to my satisfaction. When we bought our furniture about a year ago, the showroom was very nice, well-lit, inviting. We were assisted by a personable young man who was helpful. Helpful, but didn't hover over us. Delivery was great, came off without a hitch. The problem is that after a year of an adult family's use the furniture is already losing its lift. The cushions are thinned out noticeably, you can feel the frame on the back of your legs causing reduced blood circulation and discomfort. We have had people who commented on how nice the set is and have told them where we bought it. In summary there are good things in our experience (see above) but I feel that the quality is far below what we had expected. Just be very cautious buying here, especially with children and animals in the home. It will show wear quickly.

We bought the Ashley electric couch, was enjoying it until the charger went out and so we went to the Ashley store to ask about buying the replacement part, the girl there said we don’t sell parts, I asked you may not here but I need a replacement for my electric couch. She said no we don’t. I said well you sell the products why wouldn’t you have parts if customers needed them. She said let me go ask, she came back and said I would have to call customer service to see if they have that part for sale, so we left. Came home and searched for parts online. However when we took the part off the couch, it’s not replaceable. It’s disposable. So no more Ashley products if they won’t make parts to replace what you need, they would rather you buy a new electric couch. And we just bought that a few months shy of two years.

I purchased a dining room set a year and a half ago - which I love. My buying experience was good at Ashley Furniture in Pittsburgh PA- the furniture was delivered on time and I was happy with it. Until the wood finish on top of the table began lifting and chipping off - not a little bit - it’s lifting in spots all over the table. We purchased the Platinum Warranty so I was certain they would take care of it. But they have declined the claim saying it didn’t happen by an accident and not covered. It’s obviously a manufacturers defect and I’m shocked Ashley won’t stand by their product. Moral of the story - don’t waste your money buying a warranty - they cover nothing! So disappointed you with this company.

I have recently purchased several furniture pieces for our home from Ashley Furniture. When our living room furniture was delivered and we unwrapped the plastic we found that our loveseat had two tears in the fabric. I reached out to Ashley Furniture and explained what we found. They requested photos and finally called back today to tell me it was not a manufacturing matter and that it looked like a box cutter made the tears. I explained that we very carefully only cut the plastic and did not come in contact with the actual loveseat. It didn't matter. They refuse to fix or replace the loveseat. I even purchased the warranty for the set I bought. It would not cover this either. The furniture is beautiful but if the company cannot stand behind their product you are better off buying furniture from another company.

The reason for this review is to express my concern with my recent purchase from Ashley's & the nightmare it has been dealing with the protection plan company that I was falsely mislead into purchasing. I will start off by saying that I purchased my sectional in Dec 22nd 2021, when I purchased online I was told by the representative who assisted me over the phone that the protection plan covered everything including any stains the couch may get over time and if it was something that couldn't be fixed the part would be replaced. I agreed to purchase the protection plan because I have children and I know that anything can happen when children are around. My cambri sectional was delayed and I did not hear anything regarding my delivery in January so I decided to reach out via email to which I spoke with Gilda **.
She mentioned there was still a delay in the process but would price match a different piece to which I denied because my top pick was my cambri sectional. All while I was experiencing a very long delay I noticed that when I would look online at the sectional that I had ordered it showed in stock which meant my order from December was not being prioritized in a first come first serve basis resulting in a very long delay, I received my sectional in March 13th, 2022 nearly fourth months after my order had been placed and that is absolutely ridiculous and to say the least. I will never spend another dime with Ashley's due to the horrifying experience I have had with both my order & the false information I was given for the protection plan.
Lastly dealing with this insurance company has been a nightmare! I have submitted more than 3 claims trying to get my couches cleaned, fixed, changed due to spots and stains that have accumulated since I've had since I was falsely mislead into thinking this insurance company would cover into which each has been denied. After spending so much of my time trying to get my situation resolved I came across so many negative reviews from about this company and the misleading lies. I hope with this email there is a resolution to this matter and I will also be emailing the CEO Todd Wankek and expect a response with a solution to this problem.
I will add on that just now dealing with getting in contact with customer service and trying to find an email to get this email resolved was a headache within itself. I tried emailing 4-5 times the emails online and the contact button itself on the Ashley's online page to recieve 4 undeliverable emails back. Please work on doing better for the customers who spend thousands on your services and keep your business going, this has been such a nightmare.

After months of shopping I purchased the Alesandra Sofa from Ashley. I waited several months for delivery which arrived in November 2021. I LOVED the couch until January 2023 when it was suddenly sinking. The decking (base for the cushion) has almost completely torn and will no longer support the couch. After extensive contact with customer service I have been informed the warranty was only for 12 months (I missed it by 6 weeks) and they will not offer any assistance. The decking is clearly defective and I have photos to demonstrate this. Ashley claims the couch was abused in some way for this type of tear to occur. The couch is in pristine condition aside from the decking and was only used by four adults in home. So very unhappy with the outcome. Apparently Ashley furniture has a 13 month lifespan so buyer beware!

Do not buy from Ashley. I never write reviews and have been so patient with them. Both the reclining couch and loveseat broke within the first few months. It took them months to even come out and look at the furniture. I spent countless hours playing phone tag. They fixed the couch but it’s been a year and they are refusing to fix the loveseat. Blaming the broken frame on us??? The only thing that sits on the loveseat is my cat so how is it our fault??!! I will never buy anything from them again and I’m telling everyone I know. I should have done better research.

Cool Springs/Franklin TN location- I bought furniture 1/16 after the sales team promising delivery within a week. It is now 2/4 and I have been promised 4 different delivery dates, 3 of which they did not show up or advise it was changed until I had to reach out. The store manager Brie said she could not do anything for me, and hung up on me. Would not give me the DM name and then would only say it was Valerie. Was told to wait until the next delivery date 2/9, and if the items did not show then, to call her back. End of the day the salespeople lie to get you to buy from them, and they never deliver the furniture. I have gotten so many excuses and lies it is hard for them to keep it straight.

So My daughter needed a sectional sofa and I highly recommended Ashley furniture to her. She was hesitant at first, but then decided to go browse. The salesman approached us, Nick, who seemed very kind and accommodating. My daughter actually liked a sectional there and purchased it on the spot. The delivery date was scheduled on the date that we were going to leave to New York City. When the furniture arrived, it was the wrong color!! Things like this happen I understand, however, being that we spent half the day waiting for the furniture when we could have been in New York city upset me very very much!
I was very confident that Ashley would compensate us for this mishap! My daughter contacted both a manager and Nick in regards to some sort of compensation. They did nothing but say, "I'm sorry" and they gave nothing. I was disgusted by this.! We paid $300 a night for a hotel in New York City that we were staying at and we didn't arrive when we were supposed to at 3 PM to check in! We drove in rush hour traffic up 95north and arrived at 8 PM. This is horrible horrible customer service!! I will not refer Ashley to anyone anymore! Not to mention how My daughter was so upset with me because I recommended Ashley to her! Good job Nick and company for your lack of GOOD customer service!

Zero stars would be better. Return policy was never stated. When I tried to, I was informed returns are not accepted after 72 hours (It was about 80 hours when I called). I left a message, got a case number, and never received a call back from the manager. UPDATE - a response from the owner makes it look like the store was willing to work with me. They did not.

I bought a TV stand that at the end of the day did not use because the TV was tall enough. Did not even open the box. Called them and texted them about 8 times to no avail. They kept telling me that someone would pick up the box. Did not happen. Someone from Customer Service gave me the address and was instructed to Fed Express it at my own cost. Went to the store and was told Ashley Online is a different entity from the store. Will never buy from them again. Customer service is awful.

There is no option for 0 stars - I have never had a worse experience at every step of the way. Not only was the bed I ordered damaged on the first two attempted deliveries, but then when it was finally received, the installers had put it together wrong and even missed some of the parts. After correcting that myself (although I'd paid for white glove delivery), the bed was defective and the drawers don't work properly. I called customer service multiple times and every time was met with rudeness and a surprising amount of unwillingness to help me in any way. After speaking with the manager at the store and asking for help (either a new bed or a return), was told there is nothing that can be done. Returns are not allowed. That's funny - my salesman assured me that because I'd never actually seen the bed I was ordering as it was a new item and not on the floor, that if I was unhappy in any way, I could absolutely return it.
When I told the manager this, she assured me that the salesperson was misinformed and is not aware of their policies. So she's sorry but his misinformation is just unfortunate but still there is nothing that can be done. So here I sit with a bed that is not only not operating properly, but is also now damaged because of the improper operation and Ashley does not care in the least. I've dealt with my share of poor customer service, but never to the level that Ashley Furniture delivers it. I can guarantee you will regret your purchase.

I recently bought a Table and 8 chairs, these were purchased online. Thought I was getting a great deal, little did I know that you only have 72 hours from delivery to put together and dispute any issues within 72 hours of delivery. My husband and I didn‘t get a chance to put it together until the weekend, which was after 72 hours. After putting together table and 8 chairs I realized how cheap this furniture is. Table was broken upon arrival, chair legs were not same length so they wobble, chairs are also not smooth on back as my clothes have gotten stuck and hands got splinters. I have been talking/emailing customer service for the past 2 month and have received no help. All I want is to return and receive a refund. I will never buy furniture from Ashley Furniture again! I should have stayed with the quality of American Furniture Warehouse or Living Spaces. Order number **.
